- 1:04Speaker 1: But hello, Hello, Hello, good morning, good morning, good morning,
- 1:09Speaker 1: good morning, good morning. I just wanted to jump on today.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I wanted to say hello, I wanted to share some
- 1:14Speaker 1: things with you, guys.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I know, if you solve the intro into this live
- 1:24Speaker 1: you saw some amazing individuals just flashing on the screen.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Those are some amazing creative individuals. They are authors, they
- 1:34Speaker 1: are playwrights, they are publishers, they are podcasters. They are
- 1:42Speaker 1: just some amazing black and brown creative in the creative
- 1:46Speaker 1: world and the literary space. And over here at Aspiring
- 1:50Speaker 1: Authors Magazine, we are honoring them in their space.
- 1:53Speaker 2: We are honoring them for.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Where they are, what they are achieving, and what we
- 1:59Speaker 1: hope they will achieve as they continue on this journey.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So I'm just excited to be able to be the
- 2:06Speaker 1: visionary behind some of these amazing things that's taking place
- 2:10Speaker 1: and allowing the opportunity to share some of these amazing
- 2:15Speaker 1: individuals with you, guys. I'm excited. If you are an
- 2:18Speaker 1: author or a publisher, a creative however you operate in
- 2:25Speaker 1: the literary world, if you're looking for a family to
- 2:29Speaker 1: connect with someone that truly believes in connecting, collaborating, creating,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and community building. That's what we're doing over here with
- 2:39Speaker 1: the one hundred Author Movement. We still have space for you.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We have about fifty four more spaces available. So if
- 2:47Speaker 1: you're out there, if you're hearing this, or if you
- 2:50Speaker 1: know someone that may be interested, please, by all means,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I want to I want you to share this with them,
- 2:58Speaker 1: share this video, or just share the message. Let them
- 3:01Speaker 1: know what we're doing over here at the one hundred
- 3:04Speaker 1: off the Movement. We keep off this movement last year
- 3:08Speaker 1: in October towards the end of twenty twenty four. We
- 3:14Speaker 1: just wanted to be a space where individuals, no matter
- 3:17Speaker 1: where you are on this journey, and no matter how
- 3:21Speaker 1: many books you had, or if you were publishing, if
- 3:24Speaker 1: you had not already publish, if you were just a
- 3:25Speaker 1: part of anthologies, but we just wanted to provide a
- 3:28Speaker 1: space where individuals could truly connect authentically and share resources,
- 3:35Speaker 1: share what may have worked for them, what may have
- 3:38Speaker 1: not worked for them, and to you their expertise to
- 3:42Speaker 1: help others as they climb up and as they grow,
- 3:46Speaker 1: because remember, as you elevate, someone has to fill your space.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So as you elevate to the next level, you should
- 3:53Speaker 1: be helping groom someone, nurture someone, develop someone else so
- 4:00Speaker 1: that they may be able to take that space that
- 4:02Speaker 1: you are leaving unoccupied, because once you move from that space,
- 4:06Speaker 1: someone is gonna need to occupy that space because there's
- 4:09Speaker 1: still gonna be some needs that's gonna need to be
- 4:12Speaker 1: met at that level. So as you grow, don't forget
- 4:16Speaker 1: where you came from. Always remember that you should be
- 4:20Speaker 1: pulling someone up. As you are continually to grow, you
- 4:24Speaker 1: should be helping someone else grow alone. This journey, I
- 4:27Speaker 1: call it teach one, each one, teach one, help one,
- 4:31Speaker 1: however you want to do it, because I believe in
- 4:33Speaker 1: that saying hurt people hurt, But I believe that heal
- 4:38Speaker 1: people can heal also, And if you are healing and
- 4:41Speaker 1: growing and developing, you should be able to be helping
- 4:43Speaker 1: someone else he'll grow and develop as well. So with
- 4:46Speaker 1: that being said, y'all, I'm excited to be launching this
- 4:51Speaker 1: new project in July. It's something that I already do,
- 4:56Speaker 1: but I'm just launching another branch of it, and I'm
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm getting and sticking to my roots those things that
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm passionate about and just trying to open the door
- 5:07Speaker 1: for other people in their avenues and what they operate in.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So for all of those urban fiction, those lit, all
- 5:16Speaker 1: of those that have those books that a lot of
- 5:19Speaker 1: people don't want to interview about, a lot of people
- 5:21Speaker 1: don't want to talk about. And then, y'all, it's some
- 5:23Speaker 1: of the things that we're dealing with in our everyday life.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It is real, it is raw, it is things that
- 5:31Speaker 1: we deal with. So I am starting July seventh. It's
- 5:36Speaker 1: gonna be our first show, gonna be July seventh, right
- 5:38Speaker 1: here on The Crew podcast at ten pm, Yes, ten pm, y'all,
- 5:43Speaker 1: ten pm Eastern Standard time, every Monday. I'm doing it
- 5:48Speaker 1: every Monday, So four times a month, sometime five times
- 5:52Speaker 1: a month, you guys are gonna get a chance to
- 5:55Speaker 1: really connect with some of these urban fiction, these these
- 5:58Speaker 1: street lit, some these other authors that may not get
- 6:03Speaker 1: to be on some of the other podcasts for whatever reason.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And some of those things that you know, sometimes you
- 6:10Speaker 1: may not want to talk about while the kids are
- 6:12Speaker 1: still up, you know, some of that stuff that you
- 6:15Speaker 1: know you may not want to talk about until the
- 6:17Speaker 1: kids are going to bed. So we're going to provide
- 6:20Speaker 1: that outlet here on the Crew podcast every Monday at
- 6:25Speaker 1: ten pm on the Real and Raw Authors Lounge. So
- 6:31Speaker 1: I'm telling you this is an opportunity for all of
- 6:35Speaker 1: my authors that's looking for an opportunity. If you are
- 6:40Speaker 1: a streetlit author, if you are an urban fiction, real life,
- 6:46Speaker 1: whatever it is, if you fall under that jural, I
- 6:49Speaker 1: definitely want to connect with you, because, y'all, we were
- 6:52Speaker 1: talking about being real, engaging. We're talking about adult sometimes conversations,
- 7:00Speaker 1: but it's all about literature, and we're keeping it wrong
- 7:03Speaker 1: authentic because it's hard words. We don't want you to
- 7:07Speaker 1: come on in sugar coat. We want you to be
- 7:09Speaker 1: able to be true to who you are. So I
- 7:13Speaker 1: want you guys to understand you're going to be stepping
- 7:16Speaker 1: into the Real and Raw Authors Lounge podcasts.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It is for the grown ups. It is an after
- 7:23Speaker 1: our haven where stories get real and the conversation get wrong.
- 7:29Speaker 1: It is created for adult story time. Our lounge is
- 7:33Speaker 1: where the magic of literature meets and the intrigue of
- 7:38Speaker 1: authentic dialogue. Here we will bring together authors, storytellers, book
- 7:44Speaker 1: lovers who crave more than just the surface. We dive
- 7:48Speaker 1: deep into the real, engaging adult literature, the raw and
- 7:55Speaker 1: authentic conversation through our words, from the steamy fiction to
- 8:00Speaker 1: the power for memoirs to the unfittered author talks and
- 8:04Speaker 1: honest debates. This is a space for bold voices and
- 8:08Speaker 1: grown conversation. Pour your favorite drink, settle in, and let
- 8:14Speaker 1: your guard down because it is always adult story time
- 8:20Speaker 1: at the Lounge. Join us every week for Unmissible live
- 8:26Speaker 1: episodes where every story is worth telling and every word matters.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So, with that being said, if you.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Are an author and you are looking for an opportunity, yes,
- 8:43Speaker 1: to come and sit down with me and y'all. It
- 8:47Speaker 1: may be a panel, we may have a panel of authors,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and we may just be sitting around with our favorite drink.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's gonna be dark, just like this, y'all.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Y'all see how the background is. We're gonna be dark. However,
- 9:00Speaker 1: you want to come in your space because you're going
- 9:04Speaker 1: to be home. You don't be the comfortable of your
- 9:06Speaker 1: own home. So if you want to come in your pajamas,
- 9:09Speaker 1: if you want to come with your mind, if you
- 9:11Speaker 1: want to come with a heart drink, it's your time
- 9:14Speaker 1: to be able to come and unwine and to share
- 9:19Speaker 1: So this is for all those that have some stuff
- 9:23Speaker 1: that they may not want to talk about on the
- 9:27Speaker 1: eight o'clock hour, but it's okay to let your guard
- 9:30Speaker 1: down at the ten o'clock hour.
- 9:32Speaker 2: This is for you.
- 9:34Speaker 1: This is for the real if you, I'm telling you,
- 9:41Speaker 1: this is opportunity. So I'm putting it out there again.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Adult story Time, that's what it's all about. And it's
- 9:50Speaker 1: gonna be every Monday, y'all, every Monday night at ten pm.
- 9:57Speaker 1: So I want you all to share this with somebody
- 9:59Speaker 1: and bite somebody. If you know an author that that
- 10:02Speaker 1: writes urban fiction and has had a hard time finding
- 10:07Speaker 1: a space where they can go and share their story.
- 10:09Speaker 1: This is gonna be an amazing time because y'all know
- 10:12Speaker 1: that we most of the things that we write about, y'all,
- 10:17Speaker 1: it coincides with something that has happened in our life.
- 10:20Speaker 1: So this is that space, y'all. This is that space again.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You have an opportunity to come let your guard down
- 10:29Speaker 1: and be at home inside the Adult STORYTWN, Real and raw.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Adult Lounge.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yes, yes, y'all, I said that it's coming July seventh,

- 11:57Speaker 1: to advertise, we will advertising. We're gonna be advertising. We're
- 12:02Speaker 1: gonna be doing commercials. If you want to advertise, to
- 12:04Speaker 1: use the space to share commercials twenty second, thirty second,
- 12:10Speaker 1: sixty second commercials, we're gonna be doing it right here
- 12:13Speaker 1: on the Crew podcast. I do not create the commercials.
- 12:18Speaker 1: We ask that your commercials already be pre created, but
- 12:22Speaker 1: if you want to run them here on the Crew Podcast,
- 12:26Speaker 1: we will. Now, I do have some individuals that I
- 12:28Speaker 1: can refer you to if you're looking for graphic designers,
- 12:32Speaker 1: if you're looking for someone that can help you put
- 12:36Speaker 1: those commercials together. But I can't, I don't debbl in that,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but I can. I can give you some airtime. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: can give you some playtime over here on the network, y'all.
- 12:46Speaker 1: We are live Sunday through Friday at eight pm Eastern
- 12:51Speaker 1: Standard time.
- 12:52Speaker 2: We're getting ready to launch.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Our men's edition of the Crew Podcast, Them Kings of
- 13:00Speaker 1: the Airway, y'all, and it's coming soon, coming soon, coming soon.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Have some amazing men that we're gonna be allowing to
- 13:09Speaker 1: share their voices. They're gonna be occupying that seven o'clock hour.
- 13:13Speaker 1: They're gonna be occupying that seven o'clock hour, y'all. So
- 13:16Speaker 1: we're gonna be taking up two hours of your space, y'all.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Two hours of your space Sunday through Friday. Two hours
- 13:25Speaker 1: of your space is gonna be able to be occupied
- 13:27Speaker 1: right here on the Crew Podcast. I'm excited. And if
- 13:30Speaker 1: you are a male and you are looking for an
- 13:33Speaker 1: opportunity to share your voice, to be a part of
- 13:37Speaker 1: an amazing podcast family. Y'all, we have an amazing podcast
- 13:40Speaker 1: family over here. We have them Divas of the Airways,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and then we have a group of women that come
- 13:47Speaker 1: on on fifth Sundays that are part of a grief
- 13:51Speaker 1: podcast that.
- 13:52Speaker 2: We have over here. They are definitely doing their things
- 13:55Speaker 2: as well.
- 13:57Speaker 1: We have Marceee Moore who a poetry to our poetry
- 14:03Speaker 1: show every fifth Monday. I'm sorry, she's on every fifth Monday.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I think her next show is coming up in June.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And we're just looking to feel all the space that
- 14:17Speaker 1: we have that we say that we're gonna occupy for
- 14:21Speaker 1: the Crew Podcast, and we just want to make sure
- 14:22Speaker 1: that all those slots are feeled so that anytime that
- 14:26Speaker 1: you want to come on and check out the Crew
- 14:28Speaker 1: Podcast and see what we're doing live over here, you
- 14:31Speaker 1: can come on and get to know some of these
- 14:34Speaker 1: amazing hosts and some of these amazing individuals that they
- 14:38Speaker 1: bring across the platform, because, y'all, I tell you, these
- 14:41Speaker 1: last three years, I've definitely met some amazing people that
- 14:45Speaker 1: have been doing some amazing things out in their community
- 14:49Speaker 1: and needing to be recognized, and they're wanting people to
- 14:53Speaker 1: know what they are doing because they're doing some amazing things,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and that's what we're doing.
- 14:58Speaker 2: We're trying to be an outlet that.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Will allow them to have that space where they can
- 15:02Speaker 1: come and share the things that they're doing, because sometimes
- 15:05Speaker 1: people don't always see what you're doing. But we want
- 15:07Speaker 1: to make sure that we provide that space so that
- 15:11Speaker 1: you can stay up to date on some of the
- 15:14Speaker 1: things that these creatives are doing around around the US,
- 15:20Speaker 1: not just the US, but y'all know we are abroad too.
- 15:23Speaker 1: We have some authors out in Africa. We have doctor
- 15:28Speaker 1: chen Over in the Virgin Islands, and then we have
- 15:31Speaker 1: Milli Grasso who's from Puerto Rico, but she's in the US.
- 15:36Speaker 2: So we y'all.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I'm telling you we are diverse. We all over the place.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And if you're out there, if you are a black
- 15:43Speaker 1: and brown author out there in another country and another
- 15:46Speaker 1: space and you're looking for a family to connect with,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm telling you we have space for you, have opportunity
- 15:52Speaker 1: for you. We are going to be launching. This is
- 15:57Speaker 1: gonna be our inaugural audition. Y'all know that we are
- 15:59Speaker 1: five years strong with Aspiring Authice Magazine. We just celebrated
- 16:03Speaker 1: our fifth anniversary the beginning of this month. It's our
- 16:07Speaker 1: fifth year of service with you guys, and I thank
- 16:11Speaker 1: you guys for all of the support and everything that
- 16:14Speaker 1: you do to help bring awareness to Aspiring Aufice Magazine
- 16:18Speaker 1: and the things that we do and helping us share
- 16:22Speaker 1: your stories and share the things that that's going on
- 16:25Speaker 1: around not just in our personal communities, but around the world,
- 16:29Speaker 1: those things that affect us as black and brown people.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Thank you, guys for bringing those stories to our awareness
- 16:36Speaker 1: and allowing us to share those stories. Also, I have
- 16:39Speaker 1: to give a shot.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Out, y'all.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Have to give a shot out to all of those
- 16:45Speaker 1: that have been helping me hold down the magazine. I
- 16:47Speaker 1: have to give a shot to my bestie, Patrice Grimball
- 16:50Speaker 1: from Charleston, South Carolina. When I asked her, y'all, she
- 16:53Speaker 1: graciously said, yes, took on something that she probably did
- 16:58Speaker 1: not want to do at the time. But when I
- 17:00Speaker 1: tell y'all, she is truly healthy down and truly made
- 17:03Speaker 1: it not just something, but it is also a part
- 17:08Speaker 1: of her brand, something that she was already working on,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and she's really taking it and has really developed it.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Into something amazing.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So I tell.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Y'all, if you have not had a book review done
- 17:23Speaker 1: by this amazing queen, y'all go get your book review.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It may take her a minute because she did lose
- 17:30Speaker 2: some book reviewers.
- 17:31Speaker 1: We had one that passed away, but she did lose
- 17:35Speaker 1: some book reviewers and she's looking to build her team back.
- 17:39Speaker 1: So if you're out there, if you're hearing this, and
- 17:41Speaker 1: you are a book lover, and you're looking to be
- 17:44Speaker 1: able to share your insight and to share your perspective,
- 17:48Speaker 1: please reach out to her. Join her doing what she's
- 17:52Speaker 1: doing over there, because I tell y'all, she's doing some
- 17:54Speaker 1: amazing things. She's also a librarian in the Choice Library
- 18:00Speaker 1: System in South Carolina. She does an amazing job there.
- 18:04Speaker 1: She also puts on events and stuff at the library.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So you may have an opportunity to travel in and
- 18:11Speaker 1: be a part of something that she's doing, and if
- 18:13Speaker 1: you are in the local area, you may be able
- 18:15Speaker 1: to tap in to some of the things that she's
- 18:17Speaker 1: doing because she's definitely putting her foot down and putting
- 18:20Speaker 1: in the work. Even though her daughter keeps her busy,
- 18:24Speaker 1: she's definitely doing things to build her brand and to
- 18:28Speaker 1: really be known as a literary a literary agent, because
- 18:35Speaker 1: she definitely is out here showcasing. She's out here bringing
- 18:42Speaker 1: awareness to so many authors. And when I say it's
- 18:45Speaker 1: really out here, just she does interviews, just really being
- 18:49Speaker 1: a voice for those that sometimes think that they don't
- 18:53Speaker 1: have a voice, and she's done an amazing job at it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: So shout out to my bestie Patrese Grimball. Ye'ah, she's
- 19:00Speaker 1: on every Tuesday. She's on every Tuesday night right here
- 19:03Speaker 1: on the group podcast. Well, let me take that back,
- 19:06Speaker 1: every first through fourth Tuesday, because fifth Tuesdays no one
- 19:10Speaker 1: is home because she has to have her time off too,
- 19:13Speaker 1: and then we don't have a fifth Monday every I
- 19:15Speaker 1: mean a fifth Tuesday every month, so we want to
- 19:18Speaker 1: make sure that if we do have one, you know,
- 19:20Speaker 1: she still get her little extra time off.
- 19:22Speaker 2: So just wanted to throw that out left.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Get your book reviewed and be on her show, other outlets,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and y'all we go live, like right now, I'm streaming
- 19:35Speaker 1: live on one tuesdaree four or five, six, seven Facebook platforms,
- 19:42Speaker 1: seven different Facebook things, and then I am live on YouTube,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I am live on.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I am live on Twitch.
- 20:00Speaker 1: So you have an opportunity to be seen in all
- 20:03Speaker 1: of those platforms live and then once we go live
- 20:06Speaker 1: and we go back and distribute the different platforms and
- 20:11Speaker 1: load them up we go. You may be on speaker
- 20:16Speaker 1: dot Com, our Heart, Spotify, you forty two.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Listen notes.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It's about ten to fifteen different platforms that we are
- 20:28Speaker 1: part of that our content is distributed to. So y'all,
- 20:32Speaker 1: there's an opportunity for you to definitely be able to
- 20:39Speaker 1: share your brand. I'm not gonna make these these promises
- 20:43Speaker 1: that everybody else made, but all I can say is
- 20:46Speaker 1: that if you connect with the one hundred author movement,
- 20:50Speaker 1: there's gonna be an opportunity for you to connect with
- 20:53Speaker 1: individuals that don't mind sharing, that don't mind supporting, that
- 20:56Speaker 1: don't mind. If I get nominated for something, you better
- 20:59Speaker 1: believe I'm bringing it to the group, and I'm telling
- 21:01Speaker 1: everybody else in the group how they can get nominated
- 21:03Speaker 1: for it too, And I'm sharing inside of the group
- 21:05Speaker 1: because if I win, I want you to win too.
- 21:09Speaker 2: And vice versus. That's what everybody do.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And when we have projects, we invite the group, those
- 21:17Speaker 1: that are in the group to be a part of
- 21:18Speaker 1: those projects first before we even make it public, and
- 21:22Speaker 1: then we make it public, but it's an opportunity for
- 21:24Speaker 1: you to get firsthand what If we fill up the.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Space, there's gonna be ninety nine other individuals like you.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And what is happening is for those that may find
- 21:37Speaker 1: it overwhelming, they may find it too much for them,
- 21:40Speaker 1: they may not be able to act on everything. You know,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you can be an inactive member. You can still be
- 21:46Speaker 1: a part of everything that we're doing as an inactive member.
- 21:50Speaker 1: That means that if you're inactive, were gonna still recognize you,
- 21:53Speaker 1: We're still gonna let people know that you're a part
- 21:55Speaker 1: of what we're doing. But it's up to you to
- 21:58Speaker 1: stay involved as far as when we have activities and stuff.
- 22:03Speaker 1: So if you're inactive, it's not my responsibility to extra
- 22:06Speaker 1: reach out to you. If you're active, then I'm gonna
- 22:09Speaker 1: make sure that you're involved in the things that we're doing.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But if you're inactive, then it's your responsibility to make
- 22:14Speaker 1: sure that if there's things that you see going on
- 22:16Speaker 1: that you want to be a part of, that you
- 22:18Speaker 1: reach out to the necessary individuals.
- 22:21Speaker 2: And get attached.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And I can't I wish there were so many easier
- 22:29Speaker 1: ways to do a lot of the stuff that we do.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I am a hands owned person.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I love to be involved with what's going on, so
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm always gonna be attached to everything. I know we
- 22:43Speaker 1: like to have. You know, different people do this, and
- 22:46Speaker 1: people do this, and people do that. I do too,
- 22:49Speaker 1: but I still like to be involved. I like to
- 22:54Speaker 1: divvy out work. I like to give work, and those
- 22:56Speaker 1: that know me know that I'll give task. I give
- 22:58Speaker 1: things our people to, you know, occupy and do what
- 23:02Speaker 1: they're what they're capable of doing, because I want to
- 23:05Speaker 1: see people thrive. I'm not a micro manager. I don't
- 23:10Speaker 1: stand over you and push things on you and stand
- 23:12Speaker 1: and see if you're gonna do it.
- 23:14Speaker 2: You know, I give it to you. If you do
- 23:15Speaker 2: what you do it.
- 23:16Speaker 1: If you don't, then I know I'm gonna it's gonna
- 23:19Speaker 1: get done. Because that's just who I am, always have been,
- 23:22Speaker 1: and I think I'm gonna be like that until I
- 23:24Speaker 1: can't be like that no more. I know that may
- 23:29Speaker 1: be a bad habit, but that bad habit works for me, y'all,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and then with me a lot of people. I struggled
- 23:38Speaker 1: in school with this, y'all, but it's something that I
- 23:43Speaker 1: look I made the Dean's list, I made the President's list.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I made all these different lists throughout school. But one
- 23:50Speaker 1: thing I struggled with was doing my project some time.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Like y'all, I would wait till the last minute, and
- 23:58Speaker 1: then I would do my project, and then I'll be stressing.
- 24:01Speaker 1: But guess what I will always I will always do.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Great on them.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Like that last project I had to do for class, y'all,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I waited to the very last day.
- 24:12Speaker 2: That I could wait before I submitted the project.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I didn't even send it to the What's the name,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and I just knew I had bombed it because I
- 24:19Speaker 1: thought I had messed up, and I was up all night.
- 24:22Speaker 2: The night before trying to get it done.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I even canceled my podcast on Monday to make sure
- 24:27Speaker 1: that it got uploaded, and everything got uploaded on time.
- 24:30Speaker 1: With y'all, I did all that, stressed, did all that,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and did all that I did when I could have
- 24:36Speaker 1: been turned that project in and ben had it done.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Because y'all, when I turned it in, how about I
- 24:41Speaker 1: got all other points. I mean, I made a perfect
- 24:45Speaker 1: score on it. I could have been turned the project in,
- 24:49Speaker 1: got it over with, and I had to stress. But
- 24:51Speaker 1: with y'all, sometime we don't. We hold on to stuff
- 24:55Speaker 1: and we wait and wecrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate and
- 24:59Speaker 1: put off and put off and put off and put out.
- 25:01Speaker 1: When if we go ahead and do it and get
- 25:04Speaker 1: it done, then that time that we are procrastinating, just
- 25:07Speaker 1: think what else we could have been doing. Like all
- 25:11Speaker 1: that time that I wasted thinking about what I'm gonna
- 25:13Speaker 1: do and why I hadn't done, and you know, just
- 25:18Speaker 1: just making excuses in my mind why I hadn't done
- 25:20Speaker 1: the project when I'm gonna do the project and planning
- 25:22Speaker 1: and stuff, I could have been thinking about something else.
- 25:25Speaker 1: But y'all, that's what we do. And we gotta stop
- 25:28Speaker 1: doing that. We gotta stop procrastinating. We got to stop
- 25:31Speaker 1: putting off things that we can do today.
- 25:34Speaker 2: For tomorrow because tomorrow's not promised.
- 25:37Speaker 1: We got to learn how to move in the now,
- 25:40Speaker 1: live in and now, operate in the now, and and
- 25:43Speaker 1: and do those things because we never know that if
- 25:47Speaker 1: we step out and we do the things, what other
- 25:50Speaker 1: doors may open. Because I'm just thinking and I'm looking back,
- 25:54Speaker 1: and I'm just thinking about, you know, a lot of
- 25:56Speaker 1: the things that I said I wanted to do that.
- 26:00Speaker 1: If I had done a long time ago, y'all, my
- 26:03Speaker 1: life could have been a lot different because now I'm
- 26:06Speaker 1: doing all of the things that I wanted to do
- 26:09Speaker 1: but didn't do it because for what, y'all, I was
- 26:13Speaker 1: afraid of what. To be honest, just like I posted
- 26:16Speaker 1: the other day, it wasn't that I was afraid of failing.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Because if you look at your life, and I have,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I looked over my life.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I ain't.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I ain't not judging nobody, saying nothing about nobody. But
- 26:25Speaker 1: I looked over my life and I looked at all
- 26:27Speaker 1: the other areas and all other things that I did
- 26:30Speaker 1: fail in, all of the things that I that I
- 26:33Speaker 1: did not succeed or did not do what I did
- 26:37Speaker 1: not live up to my expectations.
- 26:39Speaker 2: So all of the times that I fail, I failed before.
- 26:44Speaker 1: But look at me. I got up, I kept going.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I didn't stop. It didn't it didn't end nothing because
- 26:50Speaker 1: I failed. It just taught me to learn from my lessons.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Take what you can take from the failure and move on.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Pick yourself up, that's yourself out, and keep on rolling.
- 27:04Speaker 1: That's what we gotta do on this journey, because y'all,
- 27:08Speaker 1: if you are a believer.
- 27:09Speaker 2: You believe the word. You read the word, you know.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It tells us all these things are gonna happen. But
- 27:16Speaker 1: we still gotta trust him. We gotta have faith, and
- 27:19Speaker 1: we gotta believe, y'all. We can't tell nobody how to
- 27:22Speaker 1: overcome if we don't overcome that, and if we never
- 27:24Speaker 1: go through that, and if everything was always peaches and
- 27:26Speaker 1: cream and strawberries. How can you tell somebody about the grapes?
- 27:30Speaker 1: How can you tell somebody about the plums? How can
- 27:32Speaker 1: you tell somebody about the opps?
- 27:37Speaker 2: You can't.
- 27:38Speaker 1: So we got to test them all, and we got
- 27:40Speaker 1: to go through, and we got to sow some seeds,
- 27:45Speaker 1: sow some seeds. How we sow the seeds? When we
- 27:50Speaker 1: learn from our lessons, y'all, we got to be able
- 27:52Speaker 1: to and willing to share them with somebody else. Like
- 27:57Speaker 1: you had to go through that lesson for a reason,
- 28:00Speaker 1: because he knew that we were gonna come into contact
- 28:03Speaker 1: with somebody that was gonna be going through the same test.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And that lesson that you went through, that you overcame,
- 28:09Speaker 1: that you advanced from, now you can share it with
- 28:12Speaker 1: somebody else because now you're elevated. You moved on to
- 28:16Speaker 1: another level and now you can share it with somebody else.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And y'all, this is what we should be doing every day.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Every day. We should be elevating. We should be going
- 28:27Speaker 2: to a newer level in us.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Like we shouldn't look back and think about, well, what
- 28:34Speaker 1: happened yesterday, yesterdays yesterday.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Ain't nothing you gonna do about it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we might want to go back and pick up
- 28:39Speaker 1: some things and try to fix some stuff, but it ain't.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Nothing you can really do about it. That is in
- 28:43Speaker 2: the past. That is history.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Now we're in a new day. All we can do
- 28:48Speaker 1: is focused on today because you're not gonna see that
- 28:50Speaker 1: no more. You're not gonna see yesterday Wednesday, I mean yesterday,
- 28:54Speaker 1: Thursday no more. You're gonna see next Thursday when it
- 28:58Speaker 1: come up. But it's gonna be a new Thursday. It's
- 29:00Speaker 1: not gonna be the last Thursday. Every day we keep
- 29:04Speaker 1: going to another day.
- 29:09Speaker 2: So y'all, we.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Got to look at situations like that, how things are
- 29:14Speaker 1: gonna happen. But don't stay there, don't dwell on it,
- 29:18Speaker 1: keep moving.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So we're gonna offer that space for you if you
- 29:25Speaker 1: want to come and chill in that space. We're gonna
- 29:28Speaker 1: be offering that space at the Real and Raw Authors Podcast.
