- 0:00It is the worldwide sports radio network.
- 0:04The last two head coaching openings in the NFL have been
- 0:07filled as the Arizona Cardinals and the number one offense in
- 0:11the NFLLA Rams and former Jets offensive coordinator Mike
- 0:16Lafleur. Lance's first head coaching gig
- 0:19while in the desert. The Davis family and Tom Brady
- 0:22have apparently reached an agreement with the offensive
- 0:24coordinator of the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks, Clint Kubiak.
- 0:28Will these hires turn these franchises around, or are they
- 0:32just the last picks of the coaching cycle with little
- 0:35chance of real success? The Minnesota Vikings
- 0:38surprisingly fired their general manager of the past Four
- 0:41Seasons, Quesi Adofo Mensa, after the Vikings struggled
- 0:45offensively after letting Super Bowl quarterback Sam Darnold go
- 0:49for the underwhelming JJ McCarthy.
- 0:52After the firing, the stories of dysfunction in the building came
- 0:56out, mostly pointing the finger at the bygone GM.
- 0:59Will the Vikings find the right guy to pair with former Coach of
- 1:02the Year Kevin O'Connell? Or will it be another analytical
- 1:06guy like Adolfo Mensa who knows all the numbers but can't add
- 1:10up? The only ones that matter?
- 1:12The winds And before we get caged into some MMA and discuss
- 1:16UFC 325 and dial it up to 11, we'll dive inside baseball to
- 1:21cover all the offseason rumors, deals and controversies of the
- 1:24day on another fully loaded, jam packed, bursting at the seams
- 1:30live Monday night edition of Jabba and the Man.
- 1:37Difficult. You're going to have a ton of
- 1:39money to spend. Why not pulling in one of the
- 1:41top three offensive players in the league?
- 1:51We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that you
- 1:54can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 1:56I played 8 inch of games. You don't see the one doing
- 1:59that. A game where you got to go
- 2:02before I told you. Giant feet.

- 4:29www.worldwidesportsradio.com. ESPN Adam Schefter reports the
- 4:36Vikings have fired general manager Quesi Adofo Mensa after
- 4:41Four Seasons. Pro Football Talk Mike Florio
- 4:45reported that Quesi and head coach Kevin O'Connell argued
- 4:48whether JJ McCarthy was ready to be the starter and if the team
- 4:53should keep Sam Darnold, who is less than a week away from
- 4:58starting in Super Bowl 60 for the Seattle Seahawks.
- 5:02O'Connell didn't get his wish as the GM overruled the successful
- 5:08coach, setting the franchise back years.
- 5:10The Vikings also released Daniel Jones along with Donald in their
- 5:14decision to go with McCarthy, who had a rough first year.
- 5:19First season superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson also
- 5:22threw the outgoing GM under the bus on social media, stating the
- 5:27obvious that the team would have been better with Donald.
- 5:31ESPN's Kevin Suffered reports that Brian Flores was also very
- 5:37uncomfortable with Quesi. To keep Flores in the fold, the
- 5:42Vikings reportedly made him the highest paid defensive
- 5:45coordinator in the league at over 6,000,000 a year.
- 5:50Since he took over in 2022, the Vikings have had the second
- 5:55fewest games played out of their draft picks, combining for just
- 6:00172 games, only better than the Dolphins.
- 6:04Who fired their GM Chris Greer mid season?
- 6:08All right, so I if you're at him, we had, we had one of Pete
- 6:12Bursick on the show and he's a friend of the show.
- 6:14And I know Pete's probably listening to the show.
- 6:15I sent him the link and I wanted him to see and my take behind
- 6:19Quessy and, and I don't know much about him as AGM.
- 6:22What I do know is he's been there for four years and his
- 6:26draft picks were not very good. JJ McCarthy.
- 6:29I I like coming out of the draft.
- 6:31I think he needed a little bit more time behind Sam Donald.
- 6:34I think they should have signed Sam Donald for a three-year,
- 6:37$100 million contract that Seattle gave him.
- 6:39Sam Donald was successful his first year as a starting
- 6:43quarterback, quarterback with Minnesota.
- 6:45O'Connell was getting his offense through him and you saw
- 6:49Justin Jefferson flourishing. Their running game was
- 6:51flourishing. Their offense was flourishing
- 6:54even with an elite defense with Brian Flores.
- 6:57I mean, think about this right now.
- 7:00If Sam Donald was there with Minnesota, maybe it would be
- 7:02Minnesota going to the Super Bowl.
- 7:04Maybe they win the NFC this year.
- 7:06Brian Flores, his defense was elite, top five, top six in the
- 7:09NFL once again. And their offense was putrid.
- 7:13Justin Jefferson had over a little bit over 1000 yards this
- 7:16year, had two touchdowns. I looked up the numbers last
- 7:19last week. They were bad.
- 7:22Justin Jefferson who was on his way to maybe catch Jerry Rice.
- 7:26Everybody, if there was anybody. I remember when Odell Beckham
- 7:29was in a position to maybe catch Jerry Rice with the 4th great
- 7:32seasons he had with the Giants and then fell apart with injury.
- 7:35Justin Jefferson has been fairly healthy.
- 7:38And besides, I think it was last year or the year before when he
- 7:40had a significant injury. Justin Jefferson was, he's been
- 7:46playing at a top level and as good as any wide receiver in the
- 7:49league. If you look at him fantasy, he
- 7:51was a top three, top four pick. Anybody that drafted Jeff,
- 7:55Justin Jefferson this year probably lost their fantasy
- 7:57league or probably didn't even get into the playoffs.
- 8:02Think about it. Are you going to trust that JJ
- 8:04McCarthy is the future quarterback in the organization?
- 8:07Because Jim Harbaugh said if you don't draft him, it's like
- 8:10you're not drafting Michael Jordan.
- 8:12Now, we heard that about Deshaun Watson.
- 8:14When, you know, somebody in Clemson said that.
- 8:17And he was right. Deshaun Watson for his first
- 8:20five or six years was a good quarterback.
- 8:22And then with all his woes being traded and then, you know, the,
- 8:27the rub and tug situation and all that and, and his situation
- 8:32behind the scenes didn't really bode well for the Browns and the
- 8:35organization or even the Texans when they decided to part ways
- 8:38with him because of the backlash.
- 8:41O'Connell is on the hot seat. Say whatever you want,
- 8:45O'connell's one of the best young offensive minds in the NFL
- 8:49and he was eventually being looked at, is one of the elite
- 8:52offensive minds in the league. When Sam Donald was there, they
- 8:54decided to let Sam Darnold go to Seattle, which is probably the
- 8:57best thing Seattle did in the offseason with all the moves
- 9:00Seattle made, even the draft picks that they made, which was
- 9:03fantastic draft. The biggest move they made was
- 9:07bringing in a quarterback, a veteran quarterback who by the
- 9:11way, was the youngest quarterback in the NFL in NFL
- 9:14history when he was drafted by The Jets.
- 9:16The The Jets drafted him at the age of 19.
- 9:20He just turned 20 when he was drafted.
- 9:24And look, Sam Donald's only 28 years old.
- 9:27He's not even fully in his prime yet and he's starting to develop
- 9:30into the star quarterback that The Jets should have saw him as
- 9:33and Minnesota definitely saw him as.
- 9:37Now you'll look at Kevin O'Connell.
- 9:39I don't know if Kevin O'Connell, if he fails again this year,
- 9:42which AJ McCarthy will have a job, there's no way ownership is
- 9:45going to keep him as good as he is.
- 9:48There are other guys that are going to be available next year.
- 9:50Mike Tomlin will be available. Maybe Brian Flores gets that
- 9:53offer. Finally, Minnesota decides to go
- 9:55with Brian Flores as the head coach because he was successful
- 9:58over there in Miami and maybe that's why they gave him a six
- 10:03year deal. I mean, A6, six and a half,
- 10:06$1,000,000 contract for this next year and be in the highest
- 10:09defensive corner because maybe they're playing is if O'Connell
- 10:12doesn't work over there, you're bringing Brian Flores and he
- 10:16could draft his own quarterback and they trade JJ McCarthy.
- 10:22I do not know Mensa in a hole in a wall.
- 10:24Pete Bursik did and I didn't really get into the GM and, and,
- 10:29and the firing when Pete was on the show because he was still in
- 10:33position as the GM. Now you think about it and, and
- 10:38where they sit, this is still a, a competent defense.
- 10:42This is still an elite defense. They're going to have
- 10:44practically all their players coming back next year.
- 10:48They have a, a competent offensive line.
- 10:52I don't know if they're running game is as as good as it was the
- 10:55year before, but that's because they had a quarterback that can
- 10:58actually throw the ball. I It's a big problem when you
- 11:01don't have a quarterback and you don't have a quarterback in line
- 11:04to succeed, you're not going to have much.
- 11:07You have a weapon like Justin Jefferson.
- 11:10He to me is the best wide receiver in the NFL, hands down.
- 11:14He is the best wide receiver in the NFL.
- 11:17Not having a quarterback that could get him the ball is a big
- 11:20problem. And when you have your
- 11:21quarterback go out there and throw your organization under
- 11:25the bus, throw the team under the bus saying that Sam Donald
- 11:28was the guy, not JJ McCarthy. How do you think JJ McCarthy
- 11:32feels when his best wide receiver came out on social
- 11:36media and said Donald's a guy, Donald was the guy.
- 11:39Now you're going into a season where JJ McCarthy is the, the,
- 11:43the quarterback again, once again.
- 11:46And your team does not believe in you.
- 11:49Your best player does not believe in you.
- 11:51The one of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL does not
- 11:55believe JJ McCarthy, believe in JJ McCarthy.
- 12:00And, and the fact here is if you don't have a quarterback, you
- 12:03don't have nothing. Go ask The Jets, go ask the
- 12:05Browns, go ask the Miami Dolphins.
- 12:09You don't have a quarterback, you don't win.
- 12:11Go ask the Giants right now. Now they think Jackson darts the
- 12:14guy. But before Jackson dart, they
- 12:17were reaching for Geno Smith and all the other quarterbacks
- 12:22they've had over the years and coaches and GMs. And I'm
- 12:26bringing up the Giants because we live in New York.
- 12:30Look how bad the Buffalo Bills were until they got Josh Allen.
- 12:33And they didn't even know if Josh Allen was going to be the
- 12:36guy when they drafted him because his throwing motion and
- 12:39that shoulder surgery when he came from Wyoming, they reached,
- 12:44but they believed in him. And that's why the GM still has
- 12:47a job over there. That's why Joe Shane has a job
- 12:51over there with the Giants because they reached on Josh
- 12:54Allen and they were right about Josh Allen.
- 12:58JJ McCarthy they might have been wrong about and that's why the
- 13:02GM doesn't have a job. And that's why O'Connell might
- 13:04not have a job after next year because if you can't develop a
- 13:08young quarterback that you decided to draft, and he was a
- 13:12part of that. I wasn't just Mesa.
- 13:15I don't care what anybody says as much as O'Connell, like Sam
- 13:20Darnold. JJ McCarthy was on that roster
- 13:22when Sam Darnold was signed. JJ McCarthy went down his first
- 13:27year and that's why they signed Sam Donald.
- 13:30I think people forget that JJ McCarthy missed his first full
- 13:34season, I think because he tore his ACL.
- 13:38He came back last year in his first full season as a starting
- 13:41quarterback in the league and he failed that.
- 13:44Does that mean he's going to fail?
- 13:45No O'Connell in the offseason can develop it.
- 13:48We'll see how it works. But if you look at the situation
- 13:52for what it is, you see Sam Donald in the Super Bowl right
- 13:55now and on getting a three-year, $100 million contract.
- 13:58And last year you had the money to sign Sam Donald to bring him
- 14:02in another year or even Daniel Jones to at least start over JJ
- 14:05McCarthy. So we got his feet wet and you
- 14:07failed to do that because your GM said JJ McCarthy is a guy.
- 14:12We're starting JJ McCarthy and we're not bringing back Sam
- 14:14Donald. That's why he doesn't have a
- 14:16job. Yep, and the other reason he
- 14:18doesn't have a job is because you knew you were an injury
- 14:20prone quarterback that missed an entire rookie season and didn't
- 14:23get a better backup quarterback to go along with that you had.
- 14:25Yeah, even if you don't bring back Darnell like you bring back
- 14:27Daniel Jones and maybe he, maybe he plays as well as he did in
- 14:30Indianapolis, maybe he doesn't, I don't know.
- 14:32But at least he's still a lot better than what you had with
- 14:34Carson Wentz, who hadn't played in like 3 years and then Max
- 14:37Brosbury was an undrafted free agent.
- 14:39Like you didn't do that when you knew you had a quarterback that
- 14:41was injury prone. Burstick talked about it when he
- 14:43was on the show. He's played 10 games in his
- 14:45career in two years. Like, that's not going to win
- 14:48you anything. And yeah, O'connell's going to
- 14:50get a brunt of it if he doesn't show up this year because
- 14:52there's been better coaches that have lost their jobs this
- 14:55offseason and there's been better GM's that have lost their
- 14:57job this offseason. You talk about Brian Flores
- 14:59either getting promoted or Mike Tomlin.
- 15:01Mike Tomlin started in Minnesota as the defensive coordinator
- 15:04before he got high with the Steelers.
- 15:05So the ownership has a little bit of loyalty to Mike Tomlin
- 15:08potentially, too, as well. Now, is O'Connell still a good
- 15:10coach? Yeah, I think he'd probably like
- 15:12go out for a year like Mike McDaniel, an offensive
- 15:15coordinator, and then he'll get a job in a year or two after
- 15:17that if he does get fired from Minnesota.
- 15:19But again, Questi, we've seen better GM's get fired for these
- 15:22just bold decisions. And the Vikings, you don't think
- 15:24of them in the same light of those organizations you were
- 15:27listed as. But there's still not a team
- 15:29that loved. There's great with quarterbacks
- 15:30as a whole. Dante Culpepper is probably the
- 15:32one homegrown guy that they drafted that was pretty good,
- 15:35but her cousin's the free agent. They haven't drafted good
- 15:38quarterbacks. Besides they drafted Christian
- 15:39Ponder and all these other Wade Wilson in the past like these
- 15:43aren't this is and they're really good at developing other
- 15:45positions too. They're a top ten, I think
- 15:46player development organization, but they just can't get the
- 15:49quarterback right. And it just really looks bad
- 15:50when you look at what Sam Darnold has done.
- 15:53You know what Daniel Jones did in Indianapolis and now some of
- 15:56their draft picks. Do you talk about the stats
- 15:58Fish? They haven't had games played.
- 15:59Some of them are really injury prone to like Lewis seen was a
- 16:01first there. His first draft pick was a good
- 16:03safety in Georgia. You had Makai Blackman who was
- 16:05good corner like they a lot of them have lost some major
- 16:08injuries which doesn't help them.
- 16:09But still it's definitely not a good track record.
- 16:11You did not draft well this year.
- 16:12Then solve the biggest positions you need.
- 16:15It's a problem when you have the second fewest amount of snaps by
- 16:20guys that you've drafted since you became the GM of your team.
- 16:24It's not a good sign. And then you.
- 16:25Also have Jordan Addison getting suspended this year too which
- 16:27doesn't help either. Well, that also speaks to like,
- 16:31you know, culture issues within the in the clubhouse.
- 16:34But The thing is, you have good coaching.
- 16:36You do have good coaching and they're fighting it.
- 16:38They just didn't have the roster.
- 16:39And when they got injuries, they couldn't come back from it.
- 16:42And the quarterback play was atrocious.
- 16:44They didn't have a backup. But the problem was this GM had
- 16:47not only Sam Darnold, but Daniel Jones.
- 16:51He had both of them, Errol, you, before he got hurt.
- 16:57I mean, you gave me hell every week because Daniel Jones was
- 17:00going to be comeback player of the year.
- 17:02He was going to get all of the awards.
- 17:05He was going to be a Pro Bowler, some consideration for maybe a
- 17:08second team all. Probably.
- 17:09Now we get to watch the door Sanders.
- 17:11Yeah. So that's even better.
- 17:12Yeah. You like my Nathan?
- 17:16Yeah. And Shador eating the clam
- 17:17chowder. Music dude, Nathan's.
- 17:19If he sees Shadora Sanders, he's probably going to be riding his
- 17:21jock strap the whole time. He'll probably be hanging on it.
- 17:24You know, he's seen nothing. Oh, I want to.
- 17:27I want to interview you. By the way, Nath, please stop
- 17:30interviewing people. You are atrocious.
- 17:34Atrocious and I love. You.
- 17:37How about this one? This is a new one too, right
- 17:39here. Oh my God, for you, Josh Watson.
- 17:43That's a good one, by the way. Well it turns the head crafted
- 17:47one. That one is still the best.
- 17:49And I'm, I'm going to say this, Brian Flores is probably licking
- 17:52his lips because he knows that if O'Connell does not succeed
- 17:56this year and this team does not make the playoffs with JJ
- 17:59McCarthy, they already know with a new JM in place, they're not
- 18:03bringing JJ McCarthy back. They're going to use him as a
- 18:05trade chip, maybe get a second or fourth like The Jets got,
- 18:08maybe even less because I don't even think he's he's a competent
- 18:11quarterback. Maybe you trade him to the
- 18:13charges and let him go over there and play with Jim Harbaugh
- 18:15as the backup with Justin Herbert and and then you have to
- 18:19draft your own quarterback. And that means Brian Flores will
- 18:22be right in position to get his first coaching job since Miami.
- 18:25Which that's why I believe they gave him a 666 and a half,
- 18:28$1,000,000 contract for this next year was because I believe
- 18:32that O'Connell is on the hot seat.
- 18:34You pay a defensive corner $6 million.
- 18:36You know that they want him there in case O'Connell doesn't
- 18:40work. Yeah, and again, another thing
- 18:41he doesn't get credit for is the way that they they developed
- 18:44these these new guys that I lost from the Mike Zimmer defense.
- 18:47They let Daniel Hunter go to Houston and signed Jonathan
- 18:50Granard, oddly enough of Texan's draft pick.
- 18:52And Granard has done wonders with this Vikings defense.
- 18:55And look at all these random linebackers that they brought
- 18:57into that that have succeeded in that system with Flores.
- 19:00That's the same thing he did in Miami.
- 19:01It wasn't Questi doing anything special with with these draft
- 19:04picks either. Did he draft some good players?
- 19:06Like I said, got unlucky with maybe some of the injuries?
- 19:08Yeah, I think, I don't think value wise he was like
- 19:10drastically reaching. Dude, the only reason why he
- 19:12doesn't have a job was the JJ McCarthy draft pick.
- 19:14That's the only reason why. And that's what.
- 19:17And that happens with a lot of GM's.
- 19:18But Joe Douglas lost his job because it's Zach Wilson.
- 19:21We want to go on and on and on. Go back.
- 19:22This is worse though Errol, because he had the guy in the
- 19:25building and he was ready, he proves.
- 19:27That So did Joe Douglas, So. Did I know?
- 19:29But they just won 12 games or 13 games or whatever it was with
- 19:33Sam Darnold. Remember we talked about them
- 19:35trading in the playoff format last year because they won 14?
- 19:3714, yeah, 14 games, you win 14 games and you go, you know what?
- 19:42Let's try this. Unproven kid that was supposed
- 19:44to be mobile, but he just tore his meniscus or ACL whatever the
- 19:47hell it is that he tore last year.
- 19:50I I mean it was it's one of the most ridiculous decisions by a
- 19:54general manager ever and it makes me think about it now
- 19:57speedy you talk about he made some good choices with some free
- 20:00agents sure so did Gettleman right that that's that's great.
- 20:05But if you can't, draft. And you don't understand talent.
- 20:09This guy never played football. Now there's it's not like he
- 20:12never played like any football, like at a high level, he never
- 20:16played football. He's a basketball guy and he's a
- 20:19stats analyst from and he's got a job with Shanahan and worked
- 20:24his way up as an as a sounds. Like the Browns?
- 20:27Backgrounds. Sounds like the Browns taking
- 20:28the 49ers injury luck to Minnesota.
- 20:32Right. Well, I mean, I, I, I don't care
- 20:34about the luck. I I just don't think you want a
- 20:36guy like that to run the show that doesn't have that kind of
- 20:39like understanding of certain things that you need to
- 20:43understand about football. Like if you have a guy that can
- 20:46win 14 games, a quarterback, you keep that guy, you trade
- 20:50McCarthy for whatever you can get for him.
- 20:52They what do you think they could have got at the time?
- 20:54A first round pick. They could have got probably a
- 20:57first round pick and now you're not getting even a third round
- 21:00pick for this guy. Maybe you're not, you know,
- 21:02maybe, maybe, maybe third at best.
- 21:05And it's a it's it's it's embarrassing.
- 21:08And they overachieve more than any team, I think because
- 21:10they're in the toughest division with all those playoff teams.
- 21:14They were 500 until the very end.
- 21:17And a testament to that coaching staff.
- 21:19I mean, we'll see what happens with the next guy they get, but.
- 21:22Wasn't it drafted before Bonex? So think about it.
- 21:26Bo Nicks has been and I, I loved Bo Nicks when he came out of the
- 21:29draft and I, I told everybody, I think he was going to be a good
- 21:31quarterback in the League. One that he got a chance to play
- 21:34four years of college ball, had a chance to play at a top level
- 21:37and and then goes to a guy like Sean Payton.
- 21:39Now O'Connell is a good offensive mind, but O'Connell
- 21:43also has never coached a rookie quarterback.
- 21:45This was his first quarterback that he coached from college.
- 21:49He's coached practically veteran quarterbacks.
- 21:52So this was something new for him.
- 21:54Now, I'm not saying that O'Connell can't do it, but JJ
- 21:56McCarthy might not be able to run his offense.
- 21:59And, and to me, I thought they were reaching for JJ McCarthy
- 22:02because I didn't think JJ McCarthy is speedy.
- 22:04If you remember, I thought he was an early second round draft
- 22:06pick, late 1st at best. So they were reaching on JJ
- 22:10McCarthy because Jim Harbaugh, Jim Harbaugh vouched for him.
- 22:14But guess what, if Jim Harbaugh loved him so much, that was his
- 22:17first year as a head coach, why didn't he draft them?
- 22:20Why? Because he had Justin Herbert
- 22:21and he had a chance to coach the doc.
- 22:24So I to me, I go back and I look at the options that the
- 22:28Minnesota Vikings had at the time that they could have
- 22:31drafted Bo Nicks or maybe not drafted that year, waited a year
- 22:35after bringing Sam Donald and then think, hey, if Sam Donald
- 22:40doesn't work, then we go after a quarterback in the draft.
- 22:43Because Sam Darnold came from the 49ers.
- 22:46He was a competent young quarterback, still had an
- 22:49opportunity to develop. He had his time with the 49ers,
- 22:52got a chance to understand Kyle Shanahan's offense and who does
- 22:55O'Connell come from the Shanahan tree?
- 22:58So he he runs practically the same offense.
- 23:00And look what Sam Darnold turned into.
- 23:02And I think it was a big mistake, a big mistake letting
- 23:05Sam Darnold leave. And by the way, Sam Darnold did
- 23:08not want to go to the Seattle Seahawks.
- 23:10As a matter of fact, I remember when Sam Donald was being
- 23:13interviewed on a podcast after the season, they asked him,
- 23:16where do you want to go, being that you're an unrestricted free
- 23:19engine? He said.
- 23:19I'd like to stay in Minnesota. I built a lot of good
- 23:21relationships here. So the fact here is he wanted to
- 23:26stay in Minnesota and Minnesota didn't want him anymore.
- 23:29And boy, oh boy, now you know who's getting the fruits of all
- 23:32loins? The Seattle Seahawks, because
- 23:35Seattle is the favorite to come out.
- 23:36They're 4 1/2. I think they're 4 1/2 favorites
- 23:39of right now in the Super Bowl and and they might murder the
- 23:42Patriots after what we've seen the Patriots in the playoffs.
- 23:45Yeah, and he's not going to get as much credit either like the
- 23:49Vikings GM or the Vikings fans liked him for.
- 23:51Oh, he didn't keep Kirk Cousins when Kirk Cousins got hurt in
- 23:54Atlanta, But meanwhile your quarterback just got hurt too.
- 23:56So the same things you grant blame the quarter, the GM 4 you
- 24:00can't blame him for. All right, O'Connell elevated
- 24:02Kirk Cousins back to what he was in Washington when he was there.
- 24:05It went after Zimmer got fired and then, oh, you're going to
- 24:08elevate the defense? No, Brian Flores elevated the
- 24:11defense. You didn't elevate the defense,
- 24:12Questy. Like it's not going to be the
- 24:13same effect either. And by the way, Hawks Nation, we
- 24:16know that you can't sign until the Super Bowl's over.
- 24:19We said that if you listen to our take in the beginning, but
- 24:21you just popped in. So it's OK, man.
- 24:23But but we read all your posts and and we will answer all your
- 24:26posts throughout the show. We're rooting for you guys too.
- 24:29We're not for the Patriots. So I think Seattle is is
- 24:33absolutely favorite. And by the way, everybody asked
- 24:35me what is the worst thing you would want to see in a Super
- 24:38Bowl? You don't want to see.
- 24:39As much as I like Sam, Sam Darnold and I've rooted for Sam
- 24:42Donald since he's been drafted, I don't want to see The Jets mix
- 24:45up and watch Sam Darnold win a Super Bowl and hoist that
- 24:48Lombardi Trophy. I don't want to see it, but I'm
- 24:50rooting for Sam Darnold over the Patriots in their ghosts.
- 24:54I can't stand the Patriots and I do not want to see the Patriots
- 24:58win. Just think of it this The
- 24:59Seahawks get rid of Jabal Adams. They win a Super Bowl after two
- 25:03years. It's like watching the Patriots
- 25:04and the Giants play in the Super Bowl in 2007 and 2011 as a Jets.
- 25:08Fan. That was me with the Eagles.
- 25:09That was me, the Eagles. You don't, you don't want to see
- 25:11that. And I'm, and I'm an Eagles guy
- 25:13too, so I loved watching the Eagles beat the hell out of the
- 25:17Patriots in the Super Bowl when they did.
- 25:19But the fact here is, if I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan, I'm
- 25:24thanking the Minnesota Vikings, absolutely thanking them not
- 25:28signing Sam Donor or even trying to even pitch Sam Donald an
- 25:31opportunity to be the starting quarterback for the next three
- 25:34years and let JJ McCarthy sit behind him.
- 25:36I I think it was an absolute slam dunk.
- 25:40This is the coaching carousel, Errol.
- 25:42Let's get right into the coach. The rest of the coaching hires,
- 25:46we get into some coordinators that are kind of fascinating.
- 25:49The Bills, after they hired or promoted rather Joe Brady, they
- 25:53filled out their coordinators. Right now, taking a look at it,
- 25:58Pete Carmichael was the Broncos senior of offensive assistant
- 26:02and before that with the Saints, we know that is a Sean Payton
- 26:08guy, right? So Sean Payton guy gets promoted
- 26:11and he becomes the offensive coordinator.
- 26:13I'm assuming it'll still be Brady calling the plays, but
- 26:16we'll see what happens with that.
- 26:17And then Jim Leonard, former Jet, obviously former Bill, and
- 26:22now he is the defensive coordinator of the Bills.
- 26:25A lot of people very high on Leonard in this cycle, Errol.
- 26:28All right, Carmichael is a is a slam dunk.
- 26:30First of all, Sean Payton, you know he's going to bring that
- 26:33playbook over there. Sean Payton's one of the best
- 26:35offensive minds in the NFL and and a guy like Carmichael has
- 26:39been following Sean Payton for the last 6-7 years has an
- 26:42opportunity to finally be the guy that's calling the play.
- 26:45I think it's a slam dunk. The Jim Leonard thing I love,
- 26:48what scares me about Jim Leonard is if The Jets fire Aaron Glenn,
- 26:52that's the guy The Jets are going to be looking at 100%.
- 26:55Because a couple of years ago, there were stories coming out
- 26:58that The Jets wanted to hire Jim Leonard.
- 27:00They interviewed John Leonard and they really, really liked
- 27:02him. And this is a guy that's been
- 27:04coaching college football, Wisconsin I think it was.
- 27:07And this is a guy that's very well respected around the
- 27:09league. He was a great safety.
- 27:11I remember when he came to The Jets and he had the opportunity
- 27:14to succeed over there with the New York Jets.
- 27:15That was when Rex Ryan brought him in.
- 27:18And that's what when the defense was elite of the elite in the
- 27:21NFL. Now, here's the thing.
- 27:24I don't know what Brady is, but he brings in two competent
- 27:27coaches, Carmichael and Leonard. He doesn't have to worry about
- 27:30the defensive side of the ball because I think Jim Leonard is
- 27:32very competent at that position. I'm just, I'm wondering how Josh
- 27:37Allen is going to fall into place with a Carmichael calling
- 27:40the place. Is it Joe Brady calling the
- 27:41place or is it Carmichael? And that means Josh Allen is
- 27:45going to have to sit back and understand the verbiage in a new
- 27:48season on with the Buffalo Bills under a new offensive
- 27:51coordinator. That's the only thing that
- 27:52scares me. Bringing a Carmichael.
- 27:54I would have brought in a guy that knows Josh Allen and knows
- 27:57this Brady offense more than I would have brought in a guy that
- 28:00knows, you know, a Sean Payton offense with a veteran
- 28:03quarterback that was very comfortable over there with the
- 28:07Buffalo Bills. Yeah, I think outside of the
- 28:09elements of Josh Allen running the ball, the rest of the
- 28:12offensive, the wave that Bills have been running in the last
- 28:14couple years, but after they traded digs, after they got rid
- 28:16of a lot of these other receivers, is a lot like what
- 28:18you see with Sean Payton and Sean Payton.
- 28:20Saints offense is 2 running back sets.
- 28:22You saw even later in the season, James, James Cook even
- 28:26be spelled out sometimes for Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, guys like
- 28:28that. And then he had the two tight
- 28:29ends that was Knox and Kincaid. So I think it's a really good
- 28:31fit for what the Saints did with Carmichael there.
- 28:33And then the receivers, they're all right now, bigger bodied
- 28:36receivers. There's a lot of the guys that
- 28:37they had with the Saints over there.
- 28:38So I could definitely see that working.
- 28:39And Jim Leonard, I agree with you if The Jets don't poach him
- 28:41as a head coaching. Candidate, it's going to happen.
- 28:43I don't want to bring as much as I like Jim Leonard, I don't want
- 28:46to know the rookie coach. But I think schematically
- 28:48speaking, I think Jim Leonard is a good guy for what the bill.
- 28:50I think you need a little bit of an adjustment and more of a
- 28:52creative type defense. I think it's a very good move.
- 28:55All right, well, Speaking of what The Jets are going to do,
- 28:58I'm going to put up, I had Giants up here just going to fit
- 29:00it. But Giants and Jets, they both
- 29:03are still looking for an offensive coordinator.
- 29:05A bunch of names have been picked up and they can no longer
- 29:08get him. Davis Webb was promoted to
- 29:12offensive coordinator for the Broncos, so he gets to stay
- 29:15there. Payton keeps his guy.
- 29:17A lot of people are looking at Davis Webb, former Giants
- 29:19quarterback. Obviously backup didn't really
- 29:23do anything. There's some other names that
- 29:24have been bouncing around that just got picked up that we can't
- 29:29go for. Jonathan Gannon on the defensive
- 29:31side goes to the Packers. Gus Bradley, blast from the past
- 29:35there goes to the Titans. So Sala, Bradley and Gable, what
- 29:39a staff that is. We'll talk about some of the
- 29:43other ones, but here's the list I have for people the Giants are
- 29:47looking at and then The Jets. So let's start with the Giants.
- 29:50The Giants At the top of this list is Cliff Kingsbury.
- 29:53Looks like the Giants are going to be interviewing him.
- 29:55They already have interviewed him remotely.
- 29:57It might be getting a second interview.
- 29:59Brian Callahan fired head coach from the Titans last year,
- 30:02obviously known for his work with the offensive line at like
- 30:06his father, offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.
- 30:09It might might be looking they might be trying to give him some
- 30:13money to take him away from the Colts and ironically Daniel
- 30:16Jones, which is just what a full circle moment that would be.
- 30:22Then I think Alex Tanney, another Giant from the blast
- 30:26from the past, another quarterback coach.
- 30:29I don't know if Shield Haas was signed yet.
- 30:34Nate Schilhas. All right, that's another Rams
- 30:37guy. That's another McVeigh guy.
- 30:39He's the passing game coordinator over there.
- 30:41So that's usually a step below offensive coordinator.
- 30:44And then the name that really intrigues me off of how well he
- 30:48did with Ole Miss running that team.
- 30:52A lot of people are interested in Charlie Weis Junior as an
- 30:56interesting, out-of-the-box, maybe cheap candidate.
- 31:01So that's what the Giants have. Any thoughts on the Giants first
- 31:03before we get to the? Giants, I mean, Kingsbury's a
- 31:05guy, if he's coming in for a second interview, that more
- 31:08unlikely he's the guy that the Giants are shooting for if they
- 31:11strike out on him. Because I, I know The Jets are
- 31:14interesting. Kingsbury, maybe they interview
- 31:16for him, interview him. I I know he's on the list.
- 31:19He's always been on the list for The Jets.
- 31:22I, I, I don't know if he wants to be coaching with Aaron Glenn.
- 31:24And now that John Harbaugh is there and he's going to be there
- 31:27for the long run, I think Kingsbury will feel more
- 31:29comfortable coaching under a John Harbaugh.
- 31:32That would be more likely. I, I, Weiss has has a connection
- 31:36with the New York Giants, so it would make a lot of sense.
- 31:39Charlie Weiss has been, you know.
- 31:41He's and Jackson Dart. And Jackson Dart.
- 31:43So it would make a lot of sense that Charlie Wise Junior would
- 31:46be a guy that they would interview.
- 31:47But I, I think it's, I think it's Kingsbury.
- 31:50If I were the Giants, I'm going with Kingsbury.
- 31:52I'm going to I as soon as he comes in for that interview, I
- 31:55don't let him leave my I don't let him leave, leave the office.
- 31:59I make sure that I give him a contract.
- 32:00So if, if, if you want Jackson Dart to develop because
- 32:03Kingsbury next year is getting a job one way or another, this guy
- 32:07is one of the best offensive minds.
- 32:08Washington should have never let him go.
- 32:11I, I was very surprised that happened.
- 32:13And I think Kingsbury has been in that division, the NFC East
- 32:16for the last couple of years. I think he is a it is a
- 32:19accomplished offensive coordinator and probably the
- 32:21best offensive coordinator still available right now.
- 32:23Yeah, I definitely think he's number one on that list.
- 32:25You want to think that with the Giants having issues with the
- 32:27wide receiver position right now, you want somebody that
- 32:29could space that offense. Kingsbury did that with
- 32:32Washington even before they traded for Debo Samuel the
- 32:34following year. They got guys that helped Jade
- 32:38and Daniels out and they're gonna need that kind of thing
- 32:39with Jackson Dark. It's likely the Giants are not
- 32:41gonna have Malik neighbors at the beginning of the season.
- 32:42They're not gonna have Wandell Robinson cuz they're not gonna
- 32:44be able to pay him. So they're gonna need to make
- 32:46something work with. Those he's gonna give himself a
- 32:47lot of money next year. Yeah, he is, and I don't think
- 32:49it's gonna be from the Giants cuz they're only $11 million and
- 32:52they'll probably have to trade Thibodeau.
- 32:53Too we're, you know, we're just an undersized slot receiver away
- 32:58from winning so. Yeah, we.
- 33:00Should shell it out for him. Isn't he unrestricted Thibode?
- 33:04They gave him a fifth year, no option they could trade him. 5th
- 33:06year but. I don't think they'll be able to
- 33:07sign. Him.
- 33:08They're not going to get much for him.
- 33:09What do you think they're going to?
- 33:10Get that's not true, he actually played the role very low last.
- 33:13Year stop fish. No, they they're talking about.
- 33:15What do you think? They're going to get.
- 33:17There's no way they're getting a second round for him.
- 33:18There's no way they're getting a second round draft pick for him.
- 33:20You want to bet they're? Not going to give him away if
- 33:22they hadn't. Why?
- 33:23First off, remember how the Giants had Kiwanuka, Humaniora
- 33:27and Strahan? Or Antuck, rather the three of
- 33:32them. That was a.
- 33:33You're not getting a second. Third guy that can be that like
- 33:3633% price off for. All right, that will keep them.
- 33:39Then they're going to keep them because there's no way they're
- 33:41getting a second round draft pick for him.
- 33:42I don't think he's a three down guy.
- 33:44I think you like him in rundowns.
- 33:46I think you can get away with him in so you're.
- 33:48Going to get a second round draft pick for A1 down player.
- 33:52Come on. No, I'm saying you can't use
- 33:54them. You don't want to use them as
- 33:56like a pass rush guy because he doesn't seem to be that, but
- 33:59he's been really good against the run.
- 34:01He's one of the actually in the top top quartile in the league.
- 34:04Which is weird, I had the opposite problem beginning of
- 34:06his career. They'd be lucky he.
- 34:07Was really struggling the option stuff.
- 34:09They always got him on options. They'd be lucky to get a third
- 34:12round draft pick for him. Well, I they, they that might
- 34:16play out in the next couple of weeks or next month or so as we
- 34:19get to it. Let's talk back about The Jets
- 34:21now. Kingsbury is not on this list
- 34:23because I think he turned them down.
- 34:24There's been a lot of that arrow, a lot of just saying no
- 34:27to The Jets. Here's the names that are up
- 34:30that I'm seeing. Greg Roman.
- 34:32All right, obviously, former Chargers offensive corner was
- 34:35let go. They did not do well offensively
- 34:38this year, but obviously they lost their tackles.
- 34:40He's been in the league forever. Another guy that's been around
- 34:42forever, Darryl Bevel. He's most recently with the
- 34:45Dolphins as a passing game coordinator and a quarterback
- 34:48coach. Frank Reich might be the most
- 34:50high profile name of these guys. Former Colts and Panthers head
- 34:55coach, obviously offensive coordinator for a long time.
- 34:58Gets credited for what the Carson Wentz run that ended up
- 35:02being foals. Ronald Curry, the Bills QB
- 35:04coach, and Lunda Wells, the Cowboys tight end coach.
- 35:08That's not a murderer's role. You don't offensive coordinator,
- 35:11you don't know what is a murderer's role and and of
- 35:13course you know that's not for for everybody to know that Fish
- 35:17is a giant fan, so he would do anything to throw The Jets under
- 35:21the bus. It's bad though bro.
- 35:23Really, Frank Wright is not a bad offensive coordinator.
- 35:26He has been an accomplished offensive coordinator.
- 35:28He won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.
- 35:30I like Frank Wright. I think Frank Wright is the guy
- 35:33that The Jets are going to interview again.
- 35:35They're interviewing Roman too, but I think it's Frank Wright.
- 35:38I, Frank Wright almost became the coach of the New York Jets
- 35:41before Robert Sala. They really liked him.
- 35:43I, I, I don't think you'll ever be a coach in the NFL again.
- 35:46He's been coaching in the NCAA. He's been coaching college
- 35:50football. This is an accomplished
- 35:51offensive coordinator. And, and again, I don't think
- 35:55it's a bad list. I don't think it's a great list.
- 35:57I don't think the Giants list is great.
- 35:59OK, Kingsbury's the only one, and that's fine.
- 36:02Kingsbury don't want to coach under Aaron and it's that's
- 36:04fine, grand. Well, we'll see how he he
- 36:08coaches under John Harbaugh, who's just, as you know, just as
- 36:12much of A of a meathead when it comes to yelling at his coaches
- 36:15as any of the coaches he's ever worked for, including Mr. Quinn.
- 36:19So who who he didn't work out with.
- 36:22And and everybody keeps saying that him and Dan Quinn were very
- 36:24good and they were close really, because one of the main reasons
- 36:27why he got let go was because him and Dan Quinn couldn't get
- 36:30along in the locker room. So Kingsbury is a is a
- 36:33personality. I like Kingsbury.
- 36:35I like him as an offensive coordinator.
- 36:37I think if the Giants land them it, it's a good it's a good
- 36:40pick. But again, I know Giant fans
- 36:42think that Jackson Dart is the guy, but what is he proven this
- 36:46year that he can move outside of the pocket and make a couple of
- 36:48throws? And now they're they're going
- 36:50into a season with a a wide receiver that might not be back
- 36:53until week six, Week 7 might not even start in the beginning of
- 36:56season. You're losing Wandell Robertson
- 37:00and now you're going to be probably drafting, look, another
- 37:02wide receiver in Tate who can't stay healthy.
- 37:05So good luck to the Giants and Kingsbury if that goes that way.
- 37:08And by the way, Scatter Boo, who's a running back that just
- 37:11had his leg bent in 5-6 games of the season, which I told you was
- 37:15going to happen. So what do the Giants have
- 37:17offensively going to a season if you're bringing Kingsbury?
- 37:20If Kingsbury wants that job, good for him.
- 37:22It's not going to work. Yeah, it's interesting.
- 37:24I wouldn't stay away from the last two candidates you
- 37:26mentioned Fish Curry was a former NFL receiver that's now a
- 37:28quarterback coach, was a receiver with the Raiders and
- 37:30then a tight end coach from the Cowboy.
- 37:32Seems like it's definitely. A big it's either bevel or
- 37:34right. Yeah, Bevel's interesting
- 37:35because I was never crazy about him with Seattle, but I think
- 37:37since he left Seattle, went to Detroit and won a super.
- 37:39Bowl. Yeah I know, but I I always
- 37:41thought his play calling was very weird.
- 37:43But really? Because it wasn't Pete Carroll
- 37:45call in the plays he's in. Defensive mind, Russell Wilson
- 37:47had a very unique offense. I think is probably part of it.
- 37:51But I, I do think his play calling in Detroit was very good
- 37:53though. I think once he left there
- 37:54Seattle, I think that he took that offense to another level,
- 37:56which didn't have a lot of talent in that Matt Patricia era
- 37:59where they never drafted very well at all outside of TJ
- 38:01Hawkinson. And then they go to Miami, which
- 38:03they've had a lot of cap issues. I think he doesn't done pretty
- 38:05well there. So I think Frank Reich would be
- 38:07my favorite of those 3 candidates over Bevel.
- 38:10Greg Roman I think would only happen if they keep Justin
- 38:12Fields, but seem like the organization's going to far away
- 38:14with them. If Greg Roman becomes the guy, I
- 38:16would keep Field. Why not and not draft a
- 38:17quarterback this year? Frank Reich's like one of the
- 38:19few guys in NFL history that got 2 head coaching jobs and got
- 38:23fired in one year in both of them.
- 38:25That doesn't mean anything. He's an.
- 38:26Author. I'm just saying.
- 38:27I'm just saying like there's a lot.
- 38:30You want to you want to throw that at him.
- 38:32He was an accomplished offensive.
- 38:34Point I know, but you know, look, guys rise and guys fall,
- 38:37you know, and sometimes that's it.
- 38:40You know, I don't know if it is. We'll see what happens.
- 38:42I it's it's definitely an interesting one.
- 38:44There's another coordinator that got hired that the Giants had
- 38:48Once Upon a time and we all liked and we didn't want to see
- 38:51him go, but we got tired of his own his own defense and he
- 38:55wasn't blitzing enough and like, oh, we need wink.
- 38:58Oh, well, the Steelers decided to hire Patrick Graham.
- 39:02If Errol, if you like what Bill Belichick did defensively, you
- 39:07like what Patrick Graham does defensively because he's a
- 39:09Belichick disciple. He's giving you the multiple
- 39:12fronts. He's giving you the 3-4.
- 39:14He's giving you zone. He's giving you confusing looks.
- 39:17He's doing everything that you know Belichick would have done,
- 39:22but he's doing it today and it's a good defense.
- 39:26He's been strong with bad offenses.
- 39:29He's still been competent over there.
- 39:31I think this is a great hire. What do you guys think about?
- 39:34Here's the thing, I would have, I would have interviewed Mayo
- 39:38too. Mayo was, I think he got a bad
- 39:41stick from the Patriots. They fired him.
- 39:43They brought in Mike Vrabel. This guy was a good defensive
- 39:45coordinator with the New England Patriots, actually one of the
- 39:48best defenses in the league under Bill Belichick when he was
- 39:51there with Mayo. I, I, I think I would have
- 39:54interviewed him just as much as I would have been interviewed
- 39:56Patrick Graham. It's unfortunate what the
- 39:58Patriots did to him and what I, again, Robert Kraft, has done to
- 40:02coaches over the years. After Bill Belichick and and
- 40:05that to me is a big problem. Now, I, I think Patrick Graham
- 40:08is a good coach. He's a good defensive
- 40:10coordinator. He's going to be a coach
- 40:12sometime in the next couple of years.
- 40:14I just question you bring in Mike McCarthy.
- 40:17I think you I should, I would have brought in a Mike McCarthy
- 40:20guy. I'm not bringing in some other
- 40:22team and another guy from another organization that I
- 40:25don't know much about. I think Mike McCarthy should
- 40:27have went with a guy that he knows a little bit about.
- 40:29That's just my opinion. I don't bring in a guy I don't
- 40:32know much about. I'm only hiring.
- 40:33Oh, because he's been good with the Patriots and he knows his
- 40:36stuff. And any it worked with Bill
- 40:37Belichick. That's the only thing that
- 40:39worries me about this hire. It's a good hire, but we'll see
- 40:41how that works. Yeah, I always thought he was
- 40:43pretty good with this first year with the Giants.
- 40:45Year 2 was a little iffy, but I think a lot of that had to do
- 40:47with the free agent flops that the Giants had at the end of
- 40:49Gettleman's tenure too, bringing, bringing in a Dory
- 40:51Jackson and overpaying a lot of those other linebackers inside
- 40:54before they drafted a bunch the next year.
- 40:56I think Graham with the Raiders though did very well amidst Josh
- 41:00McDaniels dysfunction and actually they had a competent
- 41:02the 2022 year, the first year they were actually competitive
- 41:05because of their defense. So I think there is actually
- 41:07some encouragement with it. Yeah, I think Mayo's definitely
- 41:09an interesting one that they could have looked at.
- 41:10So now the question is, Mike McCarthy, is there any
- 41:12familiarity with the rest of the Dallas defense left or Green
- 41:15Bay? They just jumped on capers all
- 41:16the time. So do you want somebody outdated
- 41:18or you want somebody modern? That's the question.
- 41:20All right, let's move on to one of your favorites, Errol.
- 41:23Our buddy Raheem Morris lost his job as the Falcons head coach.
- 41:27Super amount of talent on that Atlanta team.
- 41:30They could not tolerate his lack of winning games, but he had
- 41:35always been successful as a defensive coordinator.
- 41:37He most recently was a defensive coordinator of the Rams when
- 41:40they won the Super Bowl with the Aaron Donald.
- 41:43And he had always been one of those guys that likes a lot of
- 41:46beef inside. He wants to run some Bear
- 41:49fronts. He wants to run, you know, 3 big
- 41:53lineman out there at all times. Have guys blitzing from
- 41:56different angles. And he's going to be, you know,
- 41:59a little bit more aggressive than other guys, which kind of
- 42:02fits with that kind of turnover mentality that they want in San
- 42:07Francisco. I love to hire.
- 42:09I love the hire. I'm not a San Francisco 49ers
- 42:11fan, but Raheem Morris is a great defensive coin.
- 42:14He's been an accomplished defensive coin aid.
- 42:17I don't think he'll ever be a coach in the NFL again.
- 42:19I think his time as an NFL coach, unless he he he's a coach
- 42:24or a defensive coordinator under a Kyle Shanahan for the next 5
- 42:27years. I don't know if Kyle Shanahan
- 42:29might be on the hot seat this. Year.
- 42:30I think so. It if and Raheem Morris took
- 42:33this job because he thinks if he thinks he could fix this now he
- 42:36does have Bosa coming back. He does have Warner coming.
- 42:40This team could be an elite defense and could be a contender
- 42:43next year there. I don't know where their
- 42:45schedule lies next year especially, but this team was a
- 42:48top top three team. They made it into the playoffs
- 42:51and got their asses whipped by Seattle and Robert Sala.
- 42:55As much as everybody liked what Robert Sala did in that game,
- 42:58Robert Sala look like a deer in the headlights.
- 43:00He didn't know what the hell he was doing.
- 43:01I think Raheem Morris is a better defensive coordinator.
- 43:04He uses his schemes. He uses more blitz packages than
- 43:07Robert Sala. I think he's more accomplished
- 43:10as a defensive coordinator than a Robert Sal is.
- 43:13I love this heart. I think this is the best hire.
- 43:14Yeah, I like it for this reason, especially when he missed the
- 43:18Rams. He had a lot of random guys.
- 43:20They had obviously the stars with Donald, the Ramsey and
- 43:22Leonard Floyd, guys like that Bob Miller they traded for.
- 43:24But I think the getting those random rookies to work in that
- 43:27scheme really helped the Rams be a good enough defense at that
- 43:30time as quickly as they were early in the season.
- 43:32And then with Atlanta last year, look at the rookie class that
- 43:34they had with the 2 pass rushers.
- 43:36Also Xavier Watts, Billy Bowman as a corner.
- 43:38The Niners have a lot of rookies on that defense with Collins,
- 43:41with Alfred Collins, with Mike L Williams that we talked about at
- 43:43the draft time, Fish and a lot of those young corners that
- 43:45emerged this year in solace defense.
- 43:47They're going to have to play a lot of those guys if these guys
- 43:49keep getting hurt. And this is just team is getting
- 43:51older. So I really like it as well.
- 43:52I think it makes a lot of sense. He has a lot of familiarity with
- 43:55Shanahan going back to Atlanta, going back to Washington, like
- 43:59they've been together for a very, very long time working,
- 44:02you know, it's even though he's not an offensive coach, having
- 44:05that familiarity and that working relationship with the
- 44:08other side of the ball, it's an underrated thing.
- 44:10So I'm I'm pretty I I think that's a great move by them.
- 44:14And let's go to one more I have here.
- 44:17Which is your second favorite team?
- 44:19Errol. It's a very interesting hire.
- 44:20Shawn Mannion was the quarterback coach over with
- 44:24Jordan Love in Group Green Bay under the other Lafleur over
- 44:28there. The more successful Lafleur that
- 44:30seems to always have a very good record every single year in the
- 44:33regular season hasn't got it done in the postseason.
- 44:36Maybe unlucky with injuries, maybe something else.
- 44:39We don't know yet, but we'll see how that plays out.
- 44:41The Eagles now get that try from the new Lafleur tree.
- 44:46Sean Manion at Offensive Coordinator.
- 44:49All right, so Sirianni and Manion are very close.
- 44:52I've heard through the Grapevine these guys have been very
- 44:55connected over the years and Matt Lafleur and Sirianni
- 44:58actually like each other. So I think this is the reason
- 45:01why he brought in a Manion and and this has been a problem all
- 45:04season long. Last year was their offense and
- 45:07and getting a guy like Jalen Hurts in position to be that
- 45:11elite quarterback that he was the year before, you know, under
- 45:14another coordinator that's coaching the Saints right now.
- 45:17So Moore is Moore kind of is like a Mannion and Mannion's
- 45:21like a Moore. He likes to use those different,
- 45:24you know, different wide receiving spread out wide
- 45:27receivers. And maybe this keeps Brown.
- 45:29Maybe this makes Brown a little happier and and bring in a guy
- 45:32like this who can spread out the offense and Hugh Smith and Moore
- 45:36and Brown in a different style of offense.
- 45:38I'll say this. You look at the Green Bay
- 45:41Packers this past year and watch what they did offensively, how
- 45:44many wide receivers they had. They had four or five wide
- 45:47receivers and they spread out their offense with Dobbs, with
- 45:50Watson, with all the different guys that they had.
- 45:53I, I think this this Eagles team, they have a lot of weapons
- 45:56too, but they didn't spread out their offense.
- 45:58As a matter of fact, they traded some pizzas.
- 46:00They traded some wide receivers this season because they
- 46:03couldn't fit them in their offense.
- 46:05I think you bring in a manion, Manion's going to be able to use
- 46:07those style, that kind of style that Matt Lafleur likes to use,
- 46:11spreading out his his talent and his speed demon guys into
- 46:15different positions and slants and and different type of
- 46:18offense that it's going to work. So yeah, I was going to say the
- 46:21the also the tight ends too with after Tucker before Tucker Croc
- 46:24I hurt was looking very good in that system to Luke Musgrave was
- 46:27a guy that was a draft pick the same year as Craft that looked
- 46:29pretty good at times. And those receivers, like you
- 46:32said, there's like a rotation of five of them in Green Bay that
- 46:35Philly, again, I think, I think at certain points when the
- 46:37passing game just wasn't working for them, they tried to force
- 46:39feed too much AD. Some monster games.
- 46:41They traded one in Mensch. Yeah, Metchy.
- 46:43Yeah, Metchy was Thatchy. Yeah, who went to The Jets?
- 46:45Who played pretty well. Played pretty good with The
- 46:47Jets, yeah, amidst all the quarterback issues that they
- 46:49had. And again, they couldn't even
- 46:51get some of the other guys going.
- 46:52They had random spurts, which is Jahan Dotson, But like, it's
- 46:55still not enough where I think they needed enough another one
- 46:57of those guys to help the passing volume, the passing
- 46:59concepts go into that. So I think it's good.
- 47:01And Metchy was a pretty fairly high draft pick for the
- 47:04Philadelphia Eagles and they just let him go.
- 47:06They, I mean, they got Michael Carter the second, but Michael
- 47:09Carter all when he, he was traded to the Eagles, really
- 47:12wasn't a big part of their defense.
- 47:14So you traded a guy like Mechi who right as Mechi, John Mechi,
- 47:18Mechi who looked really good with The Jets.
- 47:21And could you imagine with, with this kind of offense now with
- 47:24Mechi and, and the kind of offense that the the Green Bay
- 47:27Packers like to run and spread out their wide receivers and use
- 47:30them in different packages, he would have fit like a glove.
- 47:32Maybe Mechi becomes a star in this offense.
- 47:35Yeah. And the other thing I think is
- 47:36he was with Minnesota. I forget if it was with Kubiak
- 47:38or O'Connell at the beginning, but he was a little bit.
- 47:41He was the backup quarterback with Kirk Cousins over there
- 47:43too. So you could see a lot of those
- 47:45concepts being brought into there as well, which I just
- 47:47think the Eagles needed a little more than just A1 style of
- 47:50passing offense that they had last year because it seemed like
- 47:52it just got. Stained Look at Watson's numbers
- 47:54this year on the men in look. Look at look at his offensive
- 47:58numbers. I mean, he's a free agent this
- 48:00year. Watson's going to get a lot of
- 48:02money because of the season he had.
- 48:04He is a #1, he is a #1 now. And I teams like the Eagles,
- 48:08teams like I, I couldn't, I could see the Eagles making a
- 48:12move for a watch. They Trey Brown, Yeah, 100.
- 48:14Percent they they could bring in Watson over there and that
- 48:16offense and, and use him as their number one guy.
- 48:18Smith will be a good #2 and a slot guy.
- 48:21I I think Watson's more bigger and more stronger than a guy
- 48:24like Smith. So I I wouldn't be surprised if
- 48:28the Eagles land Watson some part this offseason.
- 48:31The whole A.J. Brown thing is what's hanging
- 48:34over that whole Eagles roster right now.
- 48:36What are they going to do? Can they get it to work out?
- 48:39Can they have a come to, you know, come to pop a meeting just
- 48:42like work out all of our our problems?
- 48:44Because you could say Christian Watson, that guy's never had a
- 48:47healthy season his entire career.
- 48:49He doesn't stay healthy. He only played a few games.
- 48:51He was great in the games he played, but he doesn't stay
- 48:54healthy and you need to be available.
- 48:55A.J. Brown is built like a tank and
- 48:58A.J. Brown had a really good
- 48:59second-half of the season. He had a terrible first half of
- 49:02the season, but that's, you know, I think it's more issues
- 49:05that they need to work out more than he can't play.
- 49:08A.J. Brown still an elite receiver in
- 49:10this league. They need to find a way to keep
- 49:12them and add something around the periphery.
- 49:14They that team functions because of A.J.
- 49:17Brown and Devonta Smith being two of the best receivers in the
- 49:21league. I think, I think what they
- 49:22forgot is they have an elusive elite running back who wasn't
- 49:26touching the ball enough and what he likes to do running the
- 49:29ball because he had Jacobs last year.
- 49:30You have even a better running back in, in in a guy like Sacron
- 49:34Barkley can do so much more things than Jacobs can.
- 49:38So I think this is this fits like a glove and and Siriani
- 49:41needs this to work because if it doesn't, he's going to be
- 49:44looking for a job at the end of the season.
- 49:45That was the other one we were hearing.
- 49:47You know, a lot of people turn down Siriani surprisingly this
- 49:51offseason to work with him. We heard The Jets a little bit,
- 49:54but we heard a lot of Siriani stuff.
- 49:56I mean, you hear that because he's just so unlikeable as a
- 50:00person, as a Giants fan, Like he just, it's just so fun to to go
- 50:04in there, even if it like ruins our draft position, that when we
- 50:07finally beat them, it was wonderful.
- 50:09I loved it. I love every. 2nd of it this
- 50:12year. Quiet.
- 50:12I don't want to hear you, Giants.
- 50:14But we're terrible, we're terrible and we shouldn't be
- 50:17able to beat you guys. So, you know, hopefully your
- 50:20Eagles can, under Manion, be more confident offensively.
- 50:25All right, ladies and gentlemen, my golf clap of the week.
- 50:31This deserves a golf clap. No doubt.
- 50:33Golf clap, Golf clap. Now, ladies and gentlemen, this
- 50:38was an interesting, interesting story if you're a basketball fan
- 50:42or a 76er fan, which I'm not, but there's a lot of 76er fans
- 50:47out there that are probably shaking their heads to this
- 50:49story. The NBA has suspended Paul
- 50:55George 25 games because of a substance he was using.
- 51:00Now they don't know where they it hasn't come out what kind of
- 51:03substance it was. I would think it was steroids or
- 51:07human growth hormones. The problem right now is is Paul
- 51:10George can't stay on the court. He made himself a lot of money
- 51:14and ever since he broke his leg with Team USA, he's not been the
- 51:18same player. Now he's been an elite player.
- 51:20He made himself a lot of money and and obviously he's bounced
- 51:24from one team to another. He was with the Clippers and now
- 51:27he's with the 76ers. The guy can't stay healthy as a
- 51:30matter of I don't even remember the last game, the last season
- 51:33that he played sixty or more games in a season.
- 51:35And when you when you see these kind of injuries, it starts to
- 51:39make you think, can this guy stay healthy?
- 51:42And the amount of money this guy's making, I think he's
- 51:44making over $40 million a year. And this guy don't even play
- 51:476060 games. I I don't even think he plays 50
- 51:50games in a season. What he was probably thinking
- 51:53going into the season is I got to stay healthy.
- 51:55I got to make sure that I could be a part of this roster.
- 51:57So either one, I can make more money or I could be traded to a
- 52:01roster where I can win a championship, which, by the way,
- 52:04Paul George has never won a championship.
- 52:06No matter where he's he's gone. He's been an unaccomplished NBA
- 52:09champion because he can't win championships.
- 52:12He's gone as far as I think, as an Easter Conference finals.
- 52:15And once with the West, with the Clippers.
- 52:17Yes, so he's never gone to an NBA championship and that tells
- 52:21me he's not a winning player. Now that doesn't mean that Paul
- 52:23George can't get to that next level.
- 52:25That doesn't mean that Paul George doesn't have it in him to
- 52:27get to that next level. This guy is one of the best two
- 52:30way players in the NBA. He's been one of the best two
- 52:32way players in the NBA for 10 years.
- 52:34When he is at the top of his game, he can offensively.
- 52:38Offensively, he could score a year, he could put 2829 points
- 52:41in the hole and he defensively, he could defend 33 positions.
- 52:45He could play. He could defend the one, the two
- 52:47and the three. He is as elusive defensively as
- 52:49any player we've seen. And could you imagine Kawhi
- 52:52Leonard and Paul George, arguably 2 of the top five
- 52:55defensive players on a team? We're on the same roster with
- 52:59the Clippers, but they couldn't play together because both guys
- 53:02couldn't stay healthy. If Kawhi was out, Paul George
- 53:04was in with Paul George was out, Kawhi was in.
- 53:07They barely play together. And and to me, that's why the
- 53:10Clippers were not an accomplished Western Conference
- 53:13team when both those players were on the same roster.
- 53:16Here's here's another thing you have to look at with the 76ers.
- 53:19Joel Embiid can't stay healthy. Tyrese Maxi, who's become a
- 53:22superstar in this league, really all season long has been a top
- 53:26ten player. Nobody gives them any credit
- 53:28because the 76ers are really not a good roster, not a good team
- 53:31because it can't stay healthy. And and and again, we've heard
- 53:35problems with the fans, the fan base.
- 53:36They don't really pack out the stadium as we all know the
- 53:40Knicks situation when they the Knicks played them in the
- 53:42playoffs. What was it a year ago, two
- 53:44years ago? Yeah, two years ago when the
- 53:45Knicks, the Knicks sold out practically the whole the Knick
- 53:48fans sold out that whole arena. And then you had Joellen beat at
- 53:51the end of the game saying that where are my 76er fans?
- 53:54This is just absolutely terrible to see that there are more Knick
- 53:57fans at the game than 76er fans. It just tells you one thing
- 54:00about this organization and his team.
- 54:02They have a very good owner, an owner that owns three
- 54:06professional teams. He owns a basketball team, a
- 54:08football team and a hockey team. Harris and who also was on the
- 54:13you know, the list, the Epstein list.
- 54:15That's a whole nother story, you know, but I the fact here is, is
- 54:20I look at the 76ers situation and with the Paul George
- 54:23situation, it's not going to get any better.
- 54:25And even if Paul George sits out for the 25, the 25 games and I
- 54:29heard Paul Georges take and said, listen, I'm going to take
- 54:31my I'm going to take my licks. So I'm going to take my, you
- 54:34know, straps. I'm going to come back and I'm
- 54:36going to be come back as a better player.
- 54:38The problem is, is Paul George has not come back as a better
- 54:41player. The guy doesn't play more than
- 54:4330 minutes a game. When you're making $40 million a
- 54:46year, you should be playing 3536 minutes a game.
- 54:49He doesn't even come close to those minutes because of his
- 54:52injuries, because of his his situation and his unhealthy
- 54:55situation. It's been a big problem.
- 54:57And unfortunately, if I'm a 76er fan right now, if Paul George
- 55:02gets back, I'm moving Joellen Beat and Paul George and adding
- 55:05another young superstar to play with, Tyrese Maxi move them
- 55:09both, both those guys cuz he can't stay healthy.
- 55:11And both of them, both of them have more excuses than anybody
- 55:14I've ever seen in the NBA. Errol, I got the games played
- 55:17for Paul George in his career, so dating back to 20.
- 55:22In 20/18/19 he played 77 games for the Thunder.
- 55:25So as soon as he left for the Clippers, 48 games. 54 games. 31
- 55:31games, 56 games. And in his last year with the
- 55:35Clippers, he played 74. He only played half a season
- 55:39last year, 41 games. How much is he making?
- 55:43A lot and he's only played 27 games this year.
- 55:45Let me look, pull it up, see what his salary is, but I'm
- 55:49assuming it's a Max contract, $51.67 million this season to
- 55:56be. If I'm, if I'm the 76ers right
- 56:00now going into the trade deadline, I know Paul George is
- 56:03out for 25 games. If I can move Paul George and
- 56:07Joel Embiid in a package for a young stud, I would do that.
- 56:11I would absolutely do that because you're not winning the
- 56:13championship with this roster. You might not even make the
- 56:16playoffs with this roster. You might be a playing team.
- 56:19So what I would do is I would trade my 2 veteran guys to a
- 56:23team that is a contender. Maybe the Lakers maybe get
- 56:27Reeves. I could you imagine that?
- 56:29You said you trade Joelle. You heard too, though you know
- 56:32it doesn't matter. The one that served it doesn't
- 56:33matter I bring if I were if I were the Lakers and the Lakers
- 56:37have a chance to win a championship.
- 56:38You have Luka Dodgic, LeBron James for this list this last
- 56:41year. If LeBron James decides to come
- 56:43back or goes to another team, you have a chance to get Joel
- 56:47Embiid and pull George for a guy like Reeves and maybe somebody
- 56:50else. So it can kind of match the
- 56:52contracts, maybe make it make it make sense 8 and.
- 56:56Back or something? Like that, maybe a draft pick or
- 56:58something. You send Joellen beat and you
- 57:01said Paul George to the Lakers. You give the the Lakers as much
- 57:05chances that that they can for Lebron's last year to win a
- 57:09championship in the, in the Western Conference with, with
- 57:12the powerhouses they have over there.
- 57:14And you send Reeves over there with a new team with Tyrese.
- 57:17Tyrese Maxi was a young stud and Reeves looking like he's going
- 57:21to be a star in this league wherever he goes next year
- 57:23'cause they can't afford him next year.
- 57:25So and, and, and remember LeBron James is off.
- 57:28Ease off the the salary cap next year so they can afford Joel
- 57:33Embiid, they can afford Paul George on that roster with Aluka
- 57:36Doncic. It would make a lot of sense.
- 57:38Yeah, the Lakers are kind of stuck as it is as it makes sense
- 57:41where they could just form that big three, assuming that Luca
- 57:43wants Embiid and Paul George there.
- 57:45I don't know, but that's an all another story.
- 57:47But yeah, LeBron, I think Steve was as good as gone anyway, and
- 57:49Reeves they're definitely not going to be able to afford.
- 57:51So Reeves with the Sixers make a lot.
- 57:52Of sense, that's the only team that I could see making a move
- 57:55like this. Or the Pelicans, because the
- 57:57Pelicans are that dumb. I, I mean, maybe Memphis.
- 58:01John Morant. John, they're looking to move.
- 58:03John Moran. I was here and they were trying
- 58:05to shop Jaron Jackson too, so maybe they.
- 58:07They're out of their mind. Jaron Jackson, Sharon Jackson's
- 58:10one of the best two way players in the NBA and he's still very
- 58:13fairly young. What is he, 28 years old?
- 58:15He's in the prime of his career as a basket.
- 58:17Again, not an amazing. Scorer, but a good passer and a
- 58:19great defender. Honestly, I'm the Knicks.
- 58:22I'm looking at Jaron Jackson. I would, absolutely.
- 58:25Get him last off season too. I would look at him.
- 58:27You have all these pieces, you got all these youngster McBride,
- 58:30Kollek, I I mean, you put a package, you bring in a Jaron
- 58:32Jackson and maybe some draft stock.
- 58:35I, you know, in the future. I don't know how much they have
- 58:36left the Knicks for the next 5 years, but they have it every
- 58:40other year. So I, I would, I would think
- 58:43that maybe looking at Jaron Jackson as a guy that he would
- 58:46fit like a glove with the Knicks.
- 58:47You probably won't have to give up maybe more than two, and
- 58:49maybe just spaced out every three years or so.
- 58:51Well, look, Shaman has looked good for the last couple of
- 58:54weeks and he's been a part of that the the starting seven for
- 58:57the Knicks. I think Shamit would be a guy
- 59:00that the Knicks could move. He, he's a guy that could shoot
- 59:03his, I think he's shooting 3839% at the three-point line.
- 59:07They move him, McBride and Colic and maybe another player and and
- 59:12maybe some draft picks. I, I think that would be a good
- 59:15move for the New York Knicks. You bring in a Jaron Jackson, it
- 59:18would be perfect. And Chamet has been as good as
- 59:21any bench player the Knicks have, even better than Hart in
- 59:25the last couple of weeks. His shooting's been great, you
- 59:28know, defensively too. And, and he's very pesky, like
- 59:32very pesky plays within the system.
- 59:34He's he's just somebody who's been hurt again, He's just one
- 59:37of those guys who hasn't stayed healthy in his career.
- 59:40He if he can just stay healthy enough to come off the bench and
- 59:42be that that energy guy and hit those open shots when we're
- 59:45playing teams that just aren't rotating defensively.
- 59:48Because let's face it, there's a lot of these games this time of
- 59:50the season where teams are just not playing real defense in the
- 59:53NBA. It's why people don't like the
- 59:54NBA because it's just like these guys are just chucking up threes
- 59:57because they're wide open. That's why they're taking the
- 59:59shot. Nobody's rotating on.
- 1:00:01Nobody plays hard in the NBA until the playoffs and that's
- 1:00:04why everybody says what's the bother of watching an NBA
- 1:00:07regular season game. Nobody cares about them.
- 1:00:09You already know who's going. You're coming out of the East
- 1:00:12and coming out of the West. You already know who the top
- 1:00:14four teams in the Easter Conference is.
- 1:00:16I mean, you can't be blind to see what's going on.
- 1:00:18Could you imagine the Celtics? They don't have their best
- 1:00:22player. He is out for the season tearing
- 1:00:24his Achilles. And they're still, which I'm
- 1:00:27talking about, Jason Tatum, they're still tied with the
- 1:00:29Knicks in second place. It's pretty amazing what they're
- 1:00:32doing. This might be the best coaching
- 1:00:34year. I think he's coach of the year
- 1:00:37right now as far as I'm concerned, from the Celtic.
- 1:00:39Who's the guy from Missoula who's been a lot of people
- 1:00:43question Missoula and how he coaches and and really is it
- 1:00:46just the roster that makes Missoula such a great coach?
- 1:00:49Well, ladies and gentlemen, I would say this.
- 1:00:51Missoula has been a good coach this year, an elite coach in the
- 1:00:54NBA and should deserves a lot of credit for some of the
- 1:00:57accomplishments he's made so far with this this Celtic team,
- 1:01:00which really only has two guys. If you really look at it, Brown
- 1:01:04and White and White are the two best players.
- 1:01:06And White, he was a journeyman before he came to this roster.
- 1:01:09So it's been pretty amazing what the Celtics have done this year.
- 1:01:13For Josh Richardson at the time, I think was a one for one they.
- 1:01:16Did have they do have the 6th man of the year too on the
- 1:01:18Pritchard. Yeah, Pritchard's been good too.
- 1:01:20So they only have three guys and the same.
- 1:01:23Record is the Knicks. Exact same record as the Knicks
- 1:01:26and. Their roster is nowhere close to
- 1:01:28the Knicks talent, so it just says a lot about what Missoula
- 1:01:32has done so far as the head coach of the Celtics.
- 1:01:35And and again, I I've taken shots at Missoula over the last
- 1:01:39three years. I think it's been his roster and
- 1:01:41why why his team has been so good.
- 1:01:43I mean, you had Porzingis a couple of years ago, 100%
- 1:01:47healthy with obviously Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and White.
- 1:01:50I mean, Oh yeah, Drew Holiday on this roster as well.
- 1:01:54You know, playing good basketball.
- 1:01:56And that's why they won that championship.
- 1:01:57I do not believe Missoula was the reason why they won that
- 1:02:00championship. It was just the roster and the
- 1:02:01talent. This year, the way they've
- 1:02:04played and and how good they played in certain stretches, you
- 1:02:07have to give Missoula a little bit of credit.
- 1:02:09I think Missoula right now, if the season were to end, Missoula
- 1:02:12is my coach of the year, So and that ladies and gentlemen, is my
- 1:02:18golf clap of the week. If they bring in Jared Jackson,
- 1:02:22they're going to have to move OG or Mikkel Bridges.
- 1:02:26They're going to have to move one or the other.
- 1:02:27That would have to be because think about it, you can't have
- 1:02:31three guys that play the same position and that and that's
- 1:02:35what they are. They're they're all three guys
- 1:02:37that play the same position. I mean O GS playing the three
- 1:02:39right now, or is he a date me? But sometimes he's playing he's
- 1:02:43playing the two. So I I think that, you know,
- 1:02:47Jaron Jackson's more like AA34 guy.
- 1:02:50You're going. To he's a he's a four.
- 1:02:52He's four or five. He's like a stretch 4.
- 1:02:54I don't think he's a 5 corner 3. He's not.
- 1:02:56He's a 610. He's 610 with crazy long arms.
- 1:02:59He's a brim protector. He's more, I, I think Jaron
- 1:03:02Jackson's more of a four or three on the Knicks on that
- 1:03:04roster. I think he's more of a 43.
- 1:03:08I don't think you can because you have if you have bridges in
- 1:03:10Nanobi like those guys are going to.
- 1:03:12Play, they're not going to have a part.
- 1:03:13They're not going. To have a part there too.
- 1:03:15And Shamit plays a forward, you know, like it's just like 4 guys
- 1:03:19for that spot that like 2-3, four.
- 1:03:22I think he's a 4-5 if they're going to use him as a small
- 1:03:25ball, 5 if they if they take him.
- 1:03:27Because you can't really do that with Mitch.
- 1:03:30Like you can kind of try, but you can't run with Mitch.
- 1:03:32The only way they get him is if they to get Giannis and that
- 1:03:35would make a lot of sense. He would be like the second guy
- 1:03:37they'd go after. I'd like to thank everybody that
- 1:03:40listens to our show, all the fans on Spotify and Apple video

- 1:04:35Former New York Giants tight end Howard Across.
- 1:04:38Oh, that's right, that's right. Nathan was the one that scooped
- 1:04:41him off. Yes, he was one of the better
- 1:04:42goal line defenders of all time, right?
- 1:04:46Is it? Is no, that was Gary reasons
- 1:04:47they'll be out in a. Few.
- 1:04:48Oh, that's right. That's right.
- 1:04:49Howard Cross. I'm trying to remember Howard
- 1:04:51Cross. I don't.
- 1:04:52Remember the tight end Shockey's back up?
- 1:04:57Now I remember him because I I did, I was an executive producer
- 1:05:01for Imani Tumor. So Imani Tumor used to tell me a
- 1:05:04lot of different stories about those teams before the Super
- 1:05:07Bowl championship. He did all The Dirty work while
- 1:05:10Shocky got to line up and go out for passes.
- 1:05:12Cross was a great blocker and he caught some passes too.
- 1:05:15He was a good, halfway decent athlete.
- 1:05:17All right, All right. Howard Cross will be joining us.
- 1:05:20So very interesting. Thank you again to all the fans.
- 1:05:23We'll be back on Thursday. Yes, Jabba will be here on
- 1:05:26Thursday. Better be I'll smack up silly.
- 1:05:29I got a chance to meet him on Saturday.
- 1:05:30So that was interesting both of us together.
- 1:05:33It's like I knew him for years. It really is.
- 1:05:36And he he I got to give a shout out to Jabba.
- 1:05:38He was very kind to my friends, very cool to my friends and try
- 1:05:41to pick on my size at which you're only four inches bigger
- 1:05:45than me. Buddy.
- 1:05:45Stop bragging about it. When I steal a base against you,
- 1:05:48then you can you can start kissing my ass, my friend.
- 1:05:52I love you anyways. Goodnight.
- 1:05:53Farewell. It is the worldwide sports radio
- 1:05:57network. Radio Network.
