- 1:30Michael Mali is going to be joining us here in a few to give his,
- 1:32uh,
- 1:32take on
- 1:33the disaster that we're in the middle of.
- 1:35Uh,
- 1:35what's the media doing and everything else
- 1:37with the Kamala Harris presidential campaign.
- 1:39But I want to start by
- 1:40doing Joe Biden 2.0.
- 1:43That's who Kamalara Harris is.
- 1:46Kamala Harris is just Joe Biden 2.0.
- 1:49Now the fact that she is younger
- 1:51and
- 1:52can walk around and not fall over going upstairs is,
- 1:55I grant you a positive.
- 1:57It is a positive thing that we have a president that doesn't seem
- 1:59like they're going to die every time you see them on television.
- 2:02I,
- 2:02I,
- 2:02I would agree
- 2:03that's a positive.
- 2:05Not much of one though,
- 2:06honestly,
- 2:06in comparison to what we're talking about when it comes to policy,
- 2:09when it comes to results.
- 2:11Frankly,
- 2:13and we haven't talked about this in a while,
- 2:14but like.
- 2:15Just go back to the Afghanistan withdrawal.
- 2:17Just that
- 2:19alone
- 2:19is enough to make sure that no one,
- 2:21no representative of that administration ever serves in any
- 2:26position of power ever again.
- 2:28That is a full stop right there.
- 2:30There's no need for qualifiers on that.
- 2:32If you were involved in any way with that catastrophe,
- 2:36bye bye.
- 2:37That's how I feel about that.
- 2:39But
- 2:40there's a lot of other things.
- 2:41There's obviously the immigration situation at the border.
- 2:43There is inflation,
- 2:45all sorts of strife overseas,
- 2:48the way they've handled
- 2:50the situation in Ukraine and Israel and
- 2:53the campus protests and so many other things.
- 2:56This has been a problem from beginning to end,
- 2:58and one of the things I think the Trump campaign has
- 3:00struggled a bit with so far
- 3:03is to
- 3:04is to tie her directly to the person she's working with.
- 3:06I can't see,
- 3:07I can't believe how many times
- 3:08I've seen the headline,
- 3:09hey,
- 3:11um,
- 3:11the Trump campaign is trying to tie Harris to Biden.
- 3:15It's like,
- 3:18What do you mean trying to?
- 3:20She's the vice president of the United States under his administration.
- 3:22It's the Biden-Harris administration.
- 3:24Everything that's happened there,
- 3:25she owns.
- 3:27You know,
- 3:27no one ever asks this question,
- 3:29but I do think it's an important one.
- 3:31You know,
- 3:32you keep complaining about what you're going to do on day one,
- 3:34and some people have pointed out,
- 3:36you know,
- 3:36day one for her was back in 2021.
- 3:38OK,
- 3:39this is not day one,
- 3:40this will be
- 3:42her,
- 3:42she was,
- 3:42she was a vice president of the United States.
- 3:44And I would love someone to ask her specifically,
- 3:46what has Joe Biden prevented you from doing?
- 3:51You've been praising him the entire time.
- 3:52You've been saying how Bidenomics is working.
- 3:54You've been saying how all these policies on the border are working.
- 3:58Was there something that you wanted to do and Biden said no?
- 4:00What was it?
- 4:01And why was he wrong?
- 4:03We've never heard word one from her on that,
- 4:05and since she's been a candidate,
- 4:06we haven't heard word one about anything.
- 4:08And that is really starting to be noticed a little bit.
- 4:11I mentioned this a while ago.
- 4:13Usually the way these things go
- 4:15is you get a little boomlet out of a new candidate.
- 4:17They kind of seem
- 4:19amazing and indestructible and incredible,
- 4:21and they just seem like they're the greatest thing since sliced bread,
- 4:24and then.
- 4:24You know,
- 4:25the magnifying glass gets on them a little bit.
- 4:27Things start to fall apart.
- 4:28That doesn't mean they lose all their new voters,
- 4:30but this is the type of thing you would
- 4:31expect to happen at some point with Kamala Harris.
- 4:33At some point she's going to have to answer questions.
- 4:35At some point she'll have a bad interview,
- 4:37and people will start reconsidering,
- 4:39you know,
- 4:39I mean,
- 4:40like the left loves to bring up the point of Sarah Palin.
- 4:43What they don't,
- 4:43of course,
- 4:44necessarily point out is how well that went at the beginning.
- 4:47I mean
- 4:47the first week or two of the.
- 4:49Palin vice presidential nomination was really,
- 4:51really positive,
- 4:52and everyone seemed to love her and she was doing really,
- 4:54really well,
- 4:55and then of course they successfully came after her and beat her down.
- 4:58Now look,
- 4:59they will not
- 5:00do that to Kamala Harris.
- 5:01They will,
- 5:01they will not go after her like they did Sarah Palin,
- 5:04obviously.
- 5:04They will not go after her like they are JD Vance today.
- 5:07Obviously we all know that,
- 5:09we all
- 5:10understand that,
- 5:10but it is important to kind of sit back
- 5:12and look at.
- 5:14The idea that at some point
- 5:17there will be a pushback on her just
- 5:18not answering questions on some of these policies,
- 5:21she will have to answer some of these questions.
- 5:23It certainly will happen in September at the debate.
- 5:26If that debate occurs,
- 5:28but we're starting to see a little some cracks,
- 5:30some little
- 5:31little cracks.
- 5:32I'll give you an example.
- 5:33Stephen A.
- 5:33Smith,
- 5:34who's a sports commentator
- 5:36and generally speaking some person who more associates with the left,
- 5:39though he will call out at times
- 5:42people on the other side of the aisle,
- 5:43and he is calling out Kamala.
- 5:45He says,
- 5:45Uh,
- 5:46what are you hiding for?
- 5:47Criticizing Kamala Harris.
- 5:48Let me give you a quick excerpt of what he said.
- 5:50I'm talking to my sister here.
- 5:52Come on now.
- 5:52You're running for presidency of the United States of America.
- 5:55You got my vote.
- 5:55So again,
- 5:56he's he's a liberal.
- 5:57You're running for the presidency of the United States of America.
- 5:59What are you hiding for?
- 6:00And I mean hiding in plain sight.
- 6:02Somebody's got to say it.
- 6:03Somebody has got to say it.
- 6:05Now you can't be running for the presidency of the United States.
- 6:08Not one single press conference,
- 6:09not one single one on one sit-down interview where somebody
- 6:12gets to question you about the questions that we ask.
- 6:15That's not fair.
- 6:16If you're a conservative and you're out there lambasting her for it,
- 6:19ridiculing her for it,
- 6:20trying to torment her for it or whatever,
- 6:23it is perfectly within your right to do so.
- 6:26All you anti-conservatives out there,
- 6:28shut the hell up.
- 6:29That's a valid point.
- 6:32Yeah,
- 6:32it kind of is,
- 6:33right?
- 6:33And this is not something that is a big shock,
- 6:36right?
- 6:36This isn't something that's
- 6:38a crazy new requirement.
- 6:39We're asking people to come out
- 6:41and take these new positions and do all these new things.
- 6:44She's
- 6:45she doesn't have to go on a reality show and compete on eating spiders.
- 6:48Like this is basic things you're supposed to do as a presidential candidate.
- 6:52You're supposed to be able to come out and talk to people,
- 6:54get some tough questions,
- 6:55answer some questions at a press conference,
- 6:57do a couple of difficult one on one interviews.
- 6:59That's like basic.
- 7:00Um,
- 7:01now she did do an interview,
- 7:02I will say,
- 7:02I've been saying she has not done an interview at all.
- 7:04It's not true.
- 7:06She finally did one last night.
- 7:07She was interviewed by Tim Walls.
- 7:09And that is a pretty hard hitting.
- 7:11That was a very hard hitting.
- 7:13So I'm not going to play you one second of it because it was a complete waste of time.
- 7:16But just so you know,
- 7:18she now has
- 7:19answered questions on the tarmac after they freed hostages,
- 7:22and
- 7:23she's been interviewed by Tim Walls,
- 7:25so she is really stepping up on this one now.
- 7:27Stephen A.
- 7:28Smith can be a bit of a heterodox,
- 7:31in his opinions at times.
- 7:32He will step out of the mainstream,
- 7:34and you don't always know what he's going to say.
- 7:35And one of the things that kind of makes him interesting.
- 7:38Jim Acosta is not that person.
- 7:40Jim Acosta is
- 7:41hardcore anti-Trump,
- 7:42beginning to end.
- 7:43That's what he's been since he's not a reporter.
- 7:45He wants to make himself famous by hating Trump.
- 7:48That's who he is.
- 7:49But even he
- 7:50is being tested by this strategy
- 7:53by Kamala Harris.
- 7:54Here he is interviewing
- 7:57some spokesperson for the for the Harris campaign.
- 7:59I've never,
- 8:00I'm not familiar with him in particular,
- 8:03but
- 8:04then again,
- 8:04I don't expect Jim Acosta to get the best guests,
- 8:06but he's trying to at least get some answers on this stuff.
- 8:10Would it kill you guys to have a press conference?
- 8:12Why hasn't she had a press conference?
- 8:16Listen,
- 8:16the Vice President and Governor Walla
- 8:18have been busy crisscrossing this country since
- 8:21the launch of this campaign and adding Governor Walla to the ticket.
- 8:24You saw the ways in which they went across the battleground states last week,
- 8:29generating rallies
- 8:30of thousands.
- 8:3110,000 here,
- 8:3215,000 there,
- 8:34but Michael,
- 8:35you know a campaign rally is not a press conference.
- 8:38Do you mind if I cut in?
- 8:39I mean,
- 8:39you know,
- 8:40a campaign rally is not a press conference.
- 8:42Why isn't she had a press conference?
- 8:43She's the vice president.
- 8:44She can handle the questions.
- 8:45Why not do it?
- 8:48We absolutely are going to do it.
- 8:49You hear her take questions as she's out on the stump,
- 8:51and she's,
- 8:52as she said last week,
- 8:53uh,
- 8:53we're going to be having a sit-down interview here before the end of the month.
- 8:57Whoa,
- 8:59wow,
- 8:59that's impressive.
- 9:00Now I will say
- 9:02he's misquoting his candidate there.
- 9:04She did not say that they would have a
- 9:08campaign or they would have an interview by the end of the month.
- 9:10What she said was they would have an interview
- 9:12scheduled
- 9:13by the end of the month.
- 9:14The interview might be scheduled in 2028.
- 9:17We have no idea when the interview will actually occur,
- 9:19but they will have one scheduled by the end of the month,
- 9:23and that's really stepping up for the American people.
- 9:25Now.
- 9:25I don't remember there being a big criticism of lack of crisscrossing.
- 9:30Um,
- 9:31he seemed to be answering a question as if he was.
- 9:33Asked,
- 9:33well,
- 9:33why aren't you guys crisscrossing the United States?
- 9:36Oh,
- 9:36we have been crisscrossing the United States.
- 9:38Now you were asked about an interview or a press conference,
- 9:41and you said,
- 9:42well,
- 9:43we've been crisscrossing the United States.
- 9:45No one cares about your geographical patterns of travel.
- 9:47That's not what we're asking about here.
- 9:49What we're asking about is you answering difficult
- 9:51questions from someone who isn't your best buddy.
- 9:53And by the way,
- 9:54Jim Acosta,
- 9:54I don't even think would qualify.
- 9:56This is what's so shocking about this,
- 9:57she could do an interview
- 9:59with friendly sources and at least get people off of her back a little bit.
- 10:03You know,
- 10:03she could go on Rachel Maddow tomorrow and Rachel Maddow would ask her only
- 10:07questions that would help her campaign because
- 10:09that's what Rachel Maddow wants to do,
- 10:10and Rachel Maddow's smart enough.
- 10:11To know what those questions are,
- 10:13we were talking about The View as a possibility on radio earlier today,
- 10:17and
- 10:18I don't think The View is a good idea because the hosts are too dumb.
- 10:21They wouldn't know what the right questions were,
- 10:23and they might ask a question like,
- 10:25Well,
- 10:25I bet you support
- 10:26Medicare for all.
- 10:27That's great,
- 10:27right?
- 10:28Like that's not what she needs right now.
- 10:30What she needs is not more liberal stuff.
- 10:31She needs nice cushiony ways to explain.
- 10:34Things that people have problems with,
- 10:36and
- 10:37Rachel Maddow would be a great choice to do something like that.
- 10:39It's just kind of shocking,
- 10:41right?
- 10:41Why,
- 10:41why won't,
- 10:43why won't she do this?
- 10:44Why won't she do a press conference?
- 10:45Well,
- 10:45we know the reason because
- 10:47it's freaking smart strategy for her to not do it.
- 10:50If the media is going to give her
- 10:52nonstop love when she's not doing press conferences,
- 10:55why the hell would you do a press conference?
- 10:57And you might say,
- 10:58well,
- 10:58that's just wrong for people to do.
- 11:00I'll give you a good example of the same strategy in action.
- 11:03Donald Trump during the Republican primary.
- 11:06Donald Trump didn't need to do debates.
- 11:08He didn't need to because he was up by 30 points.
- 11:11So the only thing that could happen to him in a debate is something bad.
- 11:14So he didn't do it.
- 11:15He just avoided it and no one ever really got
- 11:17to challenge him and go face to face with him.
- 11:19It was,
- 11:21and I've explained this at length at the time,
- 11:24I think the wrong decision
- 11:25for the Republican Party and the wrong decision for the country.
- 11:27I,
- 11:28I think,
- 11:28you know,
- 11:28candidates should be out there answering questions.
- 11:30But it was the right strategy for Donald Trump.
- 11:33Quite clearly,
- 11:34he won easily.
- 11:35He didn't even have a challenge in the primaries.
- 11:38The same thing kind of is going here.
- 11:39If they're not going to challenge her,
- 11:41if no one is ever going to say a negative word about her in the media,
- 11:45what's the upside of a press conference?
- 11:48What's the upside?
- 11:49What do you do?
- 11:50She's certainly not going to come off better than she has the past few weeks.
- 11:53She hasn't had one tough question,
- 11:55and she is making,
- 11:56you know,
- 11:57speeches off teleprompters.
- 12:00What is the upside for her,
- 12:01and of course that's what it's about when it comes to Kamala Harris,
- 12:04it always is about her.
- 12:05The one thing I will say about Kamala Harris,
- 12:07is she an idiot?
- 12:07Sure she is.
- 12:08However,
- 12:09she's also a very smooth
- 12:11behind the scenes backroom operator.
- 12:13She has been that since very early.
- 12:15On
- 12:16her Willie Brown conquests have been well documented,
- 12:20but also when she was in San Francisco,
- 12:22she had,
- 12:23she got every
- 12:24high powered rich person in San Francisco to support her
- 12:29for like a district attorney campaign.
- 12:32This is what she did.
- 12:33She was able to align
- 12:34tons and tons of cash behind her.
- 12:37She can raise money.
- 12:38She can do these things.
- 12:39And the one impressive thing she has done since this whole,
- 12:42since the Biden debate,
- 12:44one impressive thing
- 12:45was make a hell of a lot of phone calls the second he dropped out and get
- 12:48support
- 12:49aligned and coalesced behind her against the wishes of Barack Obama,
- 12:53was able to make this into.
- 12:55One and done.
- 12:56It's already over.
- 12:57There is no primary.
- 12:58There is no decision.
- 12:59She is a smooth backroom operator and she's doing this with the media right now.
- 13:03She's using those skills behind the scenes,
- 13:06maybe some different skills than Willie Brown,
- 13:07I would assume.
- 13:08I don't know,
- 13:08but different skills kind of behind the scenes
- 13:11and going in and making friends in the media,
- 13:13making them print all of this crap
- 13:15that is not true about her campaign.
- 13:17And that is sufficing to step in and and get in
- 13:21the way of what normally would be a somewhat adversarial media,
- 13:24or at least a media that wanted to appear adversarial,
- 13:27and so far she hasn't had to deal with any of that.
- 13:29Why would she call it on?
- 13:31She's going to look like an idiot when they ask her tough questions.
- 13:34Why bother?
- 13:35If you don't have to get asked those questions,
- 13:38uh,
- 13:38why bother?
- 13:38Now I will say,
- 13:39I,
- 13:39I,
- 13:39I think eventually this will fade.
- 13:41The fact that there have been a couple of
- 13:42people like this stepping up outside of the conservative,
- 13:45uh,
- 13:45ecosphere and saying,
- 13:46hey,
- 13:47she's got to answer these questions,
- 13:48it's a good thing,
- 13:49and uh hopefully the pressure will build.
- 13:50I do think eventually she'll probably have to do something,
- 13:53but.
- 13:54Why rush it if you're her?
- 13:56Harris is going to make a big speech tomorrow on the stump
- 14:01about this big economic proposal she has out there.
- 14:03And if you've ever followed the Soviet Union,
- 14:06some of this will sound familiar.
- 14:07In fact,
- 14:07most of it was in the Soviet constitution.
- 14:10It's not normally associated with the American system of government,
- 14:14but it is what you'd expect out of a Kamala Harris,
- 14:16who is very,
- 14:17very far left.
- 14:18She is not.
- 14:19She's not a moderate,
- 14:21and she's going to try to present herself the way she's not.
- 14:23She's going to back a federal ban on price gouging,
- 14:26says her campaign.
- 14:27Now this is basically,
- 14:29she's going to say,
- 14:29well,
- 14:29you can't raise bacon prices too much or we're going to get mad at you.
- 14:34Of course that's not the free market,
- 14:35but that doesn't really matter to them.
- 14:37Um,
- 14:38it is,
- 14:38you know,
- 14:39these are price controls,
- 14:40and price controls have been proven to be massive
- 14:42disasters every time they've been tried in history.
- 14:44Of course,
- 14:45you probably already know that,
- 14:46I don't need to explain it.
- 14:47I will say
- 14:48the one thing you have to think about when it comes to a campaign
- 14:50explanation is,
- 14:52again,
- 14:53Kamala Harris is Joe Biden 2.0.
- 14:55They are the same person.
- 14:57They supported all the same policies.
- 14:59No one has cast more deciding votes in the Senate in the history of the country.
- 15:03Than Kamala Harris,
- 15:05she's the one that pushed through all these proposals.
- 15:07She is the one
- 15:08who is responsible just as much as Joe Biden is
- 15:11for all these problems that we've been having.
- 15:15Inflation is a great example of that.
- 15:17There are a bunch of reasons why inflation happened,
- 15:21um,
- 15:21massive spending by,
- 15:22of course,
- 15:23the Biden administration,
- 15:24something Kamala Harris was casting the tying votes,
- 15:26uh,
- 15:27tiebreaking votes for.
- 15:28Massive spending
- 15:30when she wasn't casting the votes.
- 15:32She was just supporting the policies under the Biden administration.
- 15:36Also massive spending before Biden even got into office.
- 15:39All of that spending also supported by Kamala Harris.
- 15:42So like
- 15:43she has no out here,
- 15:44with one exception.
- 15:45That
- 15:46evil grocery stores are gouging you,
- 15:49right?
- 15:50That's the one way she has out.
- 15:51It's the only explanation that doesn't point directly at her.
- 15:55So of course she's going to try to use it.
- 15:57She's going to try to tell you that during the entire Trump administration,
- 16:01all these grocery store companies.
- 16:02We just suddenly benign.
- 16:04They didn't care at all about price gouging.
- 16:07They didn't care about greed.
- 16:08They were not greedy during the Trump administration,
- 16:10but as soon as Joe Biden got in,
- 16:12all of a sudden they discovered greed
- 16:14and flip-flopped and became trying to make sure your delicious apples
- 16:18were 3 times the cost.
- 16:20I don't know that anyone with a brain will believe that,
- 16:23but luckily,
- 16:24you don't need a brain to vote.
- 16:27So if you go after people who don't have brains,
- 16:29you may wind up winning the election anyway.
- 16:31Harris's team is also going to underline her far left economic agenda,
- 16:35and you know this is among other things,
- 16:38a bunch of advisers.
- 16:39The Washington Examiner goes through,
- 16:41one of which,
- 16:42I mean
- 16:42all of which
- 16:43were people closely associated with the Biden administration.
- 16:46These are people who are at the Head of the,
- 16:48you know,
- 16:48her economic advisors are his economic advisors.
- 16:51He and her are the same person.
- 16:54This is the same thing.
- 16:55She's just a newer version of the same
- 16:57crap,
- 16:58the same crap that had a 36% approval rating.
- 17:00The fact that she got Megan Thee Stallion on stage
- 17:03with her should not have changed that for America.
- 17:05Unfortunately it does.
- 17:07Again,
- 17:07brainless people have votes too.
- 17:09Remember that.
- 17:10Um,
- 17:10the other one is uh rent controls,
- 17:12which
- 17:13has,
- 17:13is well known as one of the most disastrous
- 17:15policies ever conceived of in a free market economy.
- 17:18This is something that has destroyed city after
- 17:21city after city where it's been tried,
- 17:23and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden want to bring this to the entire nation,
- 17:26to cap or not to cap is the Politico headline.
- 17:29And Harris is pledging to
- 17:31take on corporate landlords and cap unfair rent increases.
- 17:36The policy has been a disaster for a long time,
- 17:38but I wanted to give you at least a quick breakdown of
- 17:41the support behind it because as you know,
- 17:43it's very important
- 17:44to understand why these things go on.
- 17:46And of course voters love the idea of rent control.
- 17:49I mean they're not looking at this as far as
- 17:52economic outcomes.
- 17:54They're looking at it as far as,
- 17:55hey,
- 17:55I don't want my rent to go up.
- 17:56So voters are supportive.
- 17:5873% of battleground state voters say protecting
- 18:00tenants against the price gouging in rental housing
- 18:03should be a priority for the next president,
- 18:05according to.
- 18:05A recent Lake Research Partners survey of
- 18:081000 registered voters in seven swing states.
- 18:103 in 4 favor passing rules
- 18:13that annual rent increases cannot be higher than increases in the cost of living.
- 18:16So you're talking about only about,
- 18:17you know,
- 18:18what,
- 18:18a 2 or 3% rate increase per year,
- 18:20which of course would be great if you're renting a place,
- 18:23but
- 18:24Does not give good outcomes to the actual economy.
- 18:26This messes up cities.
- 18:28It's really obliterated cities that have tried to do it,
- 18:31but it goes on more.
- 18:33It's deeper than that,
- 18:34of course.
- 18:35Otherwise we would not be seeing presidential ads with the word rent in all caps.
- 18:38It's a really notable change,
- 18:39says Tara
- 18:40Ravier,
- 18:41director of the Tenant Union Foundation.
- 18:44We have our polling,
- 18:45and the Harris campaign's messaging indicates to me that they have.
- 18:47Polling
- 18:48that may be even more dramatic,
- 18:49and it's true.
- 18:50Harris campaign looks at these numbers and says,
- 18:52wow,
- 18:52375% of voters,
- 18:53including lots of Republicans,
- 18:54support this policy.
- 18:55We should support this policy.
- 18:56It's the same decision and the same deep decision making process they came across
- 19:01when they heard about no tax on tips.
- 19:04It's polling very well apparently behind the scenes,
- 19:06so they supported it.
- 19:07OK,
- 19:08she's not going to actually do it when in office.
- 19:10There's no chance of that,
- 19:11but she wants to fool dumb people into voting for her.
- 19:13That is the strategy,
- 19:15beginning to end.
- 19:16Voter enthusiasm for rent restrictions makes some sense.
- 19:18Rents have risen more than 30% since the pandemic started in March 2020,
- 19:22according to Zillow,
- 19:23but critics,
- 19:24including many economists,
- 19:25say rent control.
- 19:25Actually impedes the development of affordable housing,
- 19:28which is true,
- 19:29and it even leads to the loss
- 19:30of existing affordable rental stock by inducing landlords
- 19:33to sell to owner occupants in order to earn the market price for their property.
- 19:38Existing rental stock
- 19:39that isn't sold off can also fall into disrepair,
- 19:42since there is little incentive to put money into improvements and upkeep.
- 19:45This has been the story of every city
- 19:47that has ever tried this.
- 19:49It always fails and it fails always in the same way.
- 19:52Obviously Kamala Harris doesn't care about that,
- 19:54but let me give you the
- 19:55overall,
- 19:55remember,
- 19:5673% of voters support these policies.
- 19:59Just 2.
- 20:012% of economists agreed with the idea
- 20:04that Biden's rent cap proposal would
- 20:06make middle income Americans substantially better off
- 20:09over the next 10 years.
- 20:10In a survey last month by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business,
- 20:14compared to 74%
- 20:15who disagreed,
- 20:1662% agreed that the proposal would substantially reduce
- 20:20the amount of available apartments.
- 20:22Over the next decade,
- 20:23if you can't profit off the apartments,
- 20:24why build the buildings,
- 20:25right?
- 20:26So then the housing shortage becomes more
- 20:29horrible
- 20:30and it winds up biting people
- 20:32at the lower end of the income scale over and over and over again.
- 20:35This is something that has proven true over and over and over again.
- 20:37Everybody knows it.
- 20:39That's why only 2% of economists actually support it,
- 20:41but none of that matters because the voters agree that they want lower rents,
- 20:47and this is what they're going to try to do.
- 20:49They are going to try to appeal
- 20:50to the people who don't think these things out all that well,
- 20:53and our system is great,
- 20:55no doubt about it.
- 20:56The elements of democracy inside our constitutional republic
- 20:59are fantastic,
- 21:01and I don't know of a better system,
- 21:02or I would pitch it to you.
- 21:05But what I will say is
- 21:06one problem with it is every moron
- 21:09that you drive by that has a Kamala Harris sticker on the back
- 21:13of their car
- 21:14that can't figure out even the most basic
- 21:17elements of an economic policy,
- 21:18that don't understand any of this,
- 21:19that have forgotten about.
- 21:20Afghanistan and the people who died there
- 21:22that are still sitting here saying,
- 21:24hey,
- 21:24don't we still have hostages in Gaza?
- 21:26What's going on with that?
- 21:27The people who aren't thinking about that and instead watching,
- 21:30you know,
- 21:31Brat or listening to Brat and watching TikTok,
- 21:33those people,
- 21:34those people cancel out your vote.
- 21:37That's one thing that sucks about this system,
- 21:39I've got to be honest with you,
- 21:40but there's not much we can do about it except
- 21:42do your best to try to educate people around you
- 21:45and understand your arguments,
- 21:46be armed with the truth,
- 21:48and go out there
- 21:49and do everything you can
- 21:51to change what could be a horrible outcome.

- 23:38I'm happy to welcome Michael Mali back to the program.
- 23:40He's the host of the You're Welcome podcast and author of The White Pill,
- 23:44a tale of Good and Evil,
- 23:46which you can pick up
- 23:46wherever you get your books.
- 23:48Michael,
- 23:48how's it going,
- 23:49man?
- 23:50I'm really excited to be here.
- 23:51I just heard from my probation officer and this counts toward my community service.
- 23:55I'm so glad to hear that.
- 23:56We registered a while ago.
- 23:57I didn't know that came through.
- 24:00uh,
- 24:00Michael,
- 24:01uh,
- 24:01I was thinking of you the other day because of the media,
- 24:04and we've talked before about how insane things are getting these
- 24:08these days and,
- 24:09and
- 24:10going through and watching the,
- 24:11um,
- 24:12uh,
- 24:12the Kamala Harris,
- 24:13uh,
- 24:13I don't know,
- 24:14I don't know what you'd even call it,
- 24:15coronation.
- 24:16It has been fascinating to try to take in.
- 24:19The other day I saw a headline that said that
- 24:21the Trump campaign was trying to tie Harris to Biden.
- 24:27And it's like,
- 24:28I,
- 24:28as soon as I saw the headline,
- 24:29I,
- 24:29I gotta get Michael Mali on.
- 24:30He,
- 24:31he's gotta be going crazy watching this stuff.
- 24:33What have,
- 24:33what have you taken over the past few weeks?
- 24:35Um,
- 24:35I,
- 24:35I don't know that I'm going crazy per se,
- 24:37but you know,
- 24:38you and I have been at this for,
- 24:39for a minute,
- 24:39right?
- 24:40And we've seen some,
- 24:41some things,
- 24:41we've seen other things.
- 24:42I think,
- 24:43oh,
- 24:43it's all blurry for a second.
- 24:44I think this is the first time I've seen
- 24:47in my lifetime when it's been this.
- 24:51Shameless
- 24:51when it's basically they're trying to sell like an action figure
- 24:55that has no
- 24:57uh
- 24:58uh
- 24:58background,
- 24:59no record.
- 25:00It's just she's a brat and Trump's weird
- 25:03and,
- 25:03and,
- 25:03and so,
- 25:04but the thing is,
- 25:05I,
- 25:05it's kind of like almost like WWE at this point,
- 25:08where you have a good guy and a bad guy,
- 25:10and you,
- 25:11you want to vote for the good guy,
- 25:12not the bad guy.
- 25:13Um,
- 25:14so
- 25:15in that respect,
- 25:16I'm glad that the media is being more shameless than ever.
- 25:19But at the same time going forward,
- 25:22I'm just really
- 25:23kind of curious where we go from here.
- 25:26Yeah,
- 25:26it feels like
- 25:28they really are going to attempt.
- 25:31To just let her run the clock out here and see how close they can come to
- 25:35the end of the campaign without her ever having
- 25:37to answer a question or even have to admit
- 25:39her supposed
- 25:41policy changes.
- 25:42She supported something in 2019,
- 25:432020.
- 25:44She's just leaking.
- 25:46Well,
- 25:46actually she doesn't believe that anymore to the media,
- 25:48no one gets a follow-up question.
- 25:50Are we at a point in our society where that's that's you can do that?
- 25:53Can you run out the clock for 3.5 months and win a presidency that way?
- 25:57No,
- 25:59but I think conservatives have to appreciate that this is the smart move for them
- 26:05because the more people know her,
- 26:07the less they like her.
- 26:08We saw it in
- 26:092020 when
- 26:11Democrats were looking for an alternative to Biden that wasn't Sanders,
- 26:14and she started climbing in the polls when she took on Biden.
- 26:18The first debate implied he was a racist.
- 26:20Then overnight when office,
- 26:22when Tulsi roasted her in that debate,
- 26:24her poll numbers collapsed until she went back down to 1%.
- 26:27So she's an empty suit.
- 26:29She doesn't do well speaking extemporaneously.
- 26:32They know this,
- 26:33but here's Sue,
- 26:34the thing is,
- 26:35it worked in 2020.
- 26:36They ran the basement campaign with Biden.
- 26:37Now then you had an Excuse because you had COVID,
- 26:40you don't want people in big groups and so on and so forth.
- 26:43At the same time,
- 26:45if you have Jim Acosta of CNN publicly saying,
- 26:48why isn't Kamala Harris having press conferences,
- 26:51I think people understand that the media is heavily left,
- 26:54but I don't think they appreciate to what extent they're malevolent,
- 26:57and they just took down a sitting president.
- 26:59And they're going to be more than happy,
- 27:01I think,
- 27:01some of them,
- 27:02to keep those knives sharp and see what damage
- 27:04they could do with Officer Harris as well,
- 27:06because keep in mind,
- 27:08President Trump is great for the media because their ratings
- 27:10go through the roof because you have content 24/7,
- 27:13Trump,
- 27:13Trump,
- 27:13Trump,
- 27:13Trump,
- 27:14Trump.
- 27:15Yeah,
- 27:15I,
- 27:15I,
- 27:15I,
- 27:15and they
- 27:17loved that era for,
- 27:18for,
- 27:18I mean for what it was for them.
- 27:20I mean it was an incredible boost in their ratings,
- 27:22and they spent the last 4 years trying to figure
- 27:24out how to get that magic back with really no,
- 27:26no success,
- 27:27so.
- 27:28I mean at the end of the day,
- 27:29they probably,
- 27:30at least in the back of their minds,
- 27:31would love
- 27:33another 4 years of Donald Trump.
- 27:36Were you surprised that the media
- 27:38was able to take out a sitting president?
- 27:40I mean,
- 27:40we had,
- 27:41look,
- 27:41his debate was really,
- 27:42really bad,
- 27:43and I think everybody knew
- 27:45he was incoherent and essentially an invalid in office,
- 27:48but
- 27:49I mean,
- 27:50they really went after him.
- 27:51They wanted him gone.
- 27:53I mean it was every day,
- 27:54a new op ed,
- 27:54a new
- 27:55uh big revelation about the campaign and how many
- 27:58times he had fallen asleep in meetings and such.
- 28:00I mean,
- 28:01were you surprised they were that aggressive?
- 28:03Yes,
- 28:04I was very surprised they were that aggressive because
- 28:07if there was any sense of decency,
- 28:09then they'd have to acknowledge,
- 28:10wait a minute,
- 28:11we saw this for 4 years,
- 28:12and they had to pretend this happened overnight and there were no signs,
- 28:15even though conservative and just even broadly right of
- 28:17center media had for years had clips of Biden,
- 28:20you know,
- 28:20falling up.
- 28:21How senile do you have to be that you fall up the stairs,
- 28:23you know,
- 28:23just forgetting Obama's name,
- 28:25things like this of that nature.
- 28:27So I was shocked.
- 28:28I think this.
- 28:28This is the first time in our lifetime,
- 28:30even when,
- 28:31when they're going after Clinton for his perjury
- 28:34and things like that,
- 28:35they weren't anywhere near this vicious as they were for Biden.
- 28:38And I want to make one point
- 28:40for those people who are fans of Greek mythology,
- 28:42you have like Tantalus who like fed
- 28:44his son to the gods,
- 28:45so he's punished in hell
- 28:47by always being thirsty and hungry.
- 28:48Biden was a party hack.
- 28:50He was a loyal Democrat since being a senator in the early 70s.
- 28:53He did what the machine wanted.
- 28:55They put him in office in 2020,
- 28:57and then overnight that same machine turned on him and threw him in the trash.
- 29:01So I think there's some kind of poetic justice and punishment
- 29:04that this is how he's going to end his career.
- 29:06Just the second
- 29:08he made a misstep,
- 29:09they just threw him in the trash.
- 29:10It's beautiful.
- 29:11I really,
- 29:12well,
- 29:12I mean,
- 29:12it's,
- 29:13if it wasn't Joe Biden,
- 29:14it would be really sad,
- 29:16you know,
- 29:16I mean
- 29:17they really did just.
- 29:19Torch this guy in his 50 years of service in a couple of weeks
- 29:23because they wanted a better outcome.
- 29:25And can I say one more thing,
- 29:26Stu?
- 29:27I'm sorry to interrupt you,
- 29:27but I'm sure you agree
- 29:29that for a while it was public,
- 29:31like step down,
- 29:32step down,
- 29:32step down,
- 29:33and he said fairly.
- 29:34I got into the office last time.
- 29:35I'm
- 29:36pretty tight in the polls.
- 29:37You can't tell me I can't win.
- 29:38That's,
- 29:39this is just a rough spot.
- 29:40Stick with me,
- 29:41guys.
- 29:42You know
- 29:43that then they turn to threats.
- 29:45Because for him overnight,
- 29:46for that morning,
- 29:46his campaign manager,
- 29:47whoever it was in the campaign was on
- 29:48the Sunday morning shows saying the candidate's in,
- 29:51and then he just issues this statement out
- 29:52of nowhere and doesn't make an appearance,
- 29:54you know,
- 29:55they called him up and say,
- 29:56OK,
- 29:56we tried to play nice
- 29:58and now we're going to play not so nice.
- 30:00Yeah,
- 30:00yeah,
- 30:01I mean,
- 30:01who knows if we start believing the things
- 30:04that the right is saying about Hunter Biden,
- 30:05maybe he does go to prison for 50 years.
- 30:07I mean,
- 30:08who knows
- 30:09what they said behind the scenes.
- 30:10It's a,
- 30:10it's a fun game to speculate on.
- 30:12But I can't help but think
- 30:14if he had held out,
- 30:16they probably would have threatened him with a bunch of different things.
- 30:19But if,
- 30:19if he had held out to today.
- 30:21We would have reports in the media about actually
- 30:25maybe he is sharp as a tack again.
- 30:27Actually,
- 30:28you know,
- 30:28maybe I think he did.
- 30:30Maybe it was just a cold that one night.
- 30:32It was one bad night.
- 30:33What's the big deal?
- 30:34As soon as they were locked into him,
- 30:36I feel like the coverage would have changed and he actually could have survived it.
- 30:39But they went to this guy who's
- 30:41incoherent
- 30:42and showed him internal polling,
- 30:44you know,
- 30:443 days
- 30:46after a president,
- 30:47his opponent was almost assassinated on stage.
- 30:50And
- 30:51probably threatened him and got him out of the race.
- 30:53I mean,
- 30:54in a way they really did just take advantage of this old man.
- 30:56Yeah.
- 30:56What incentive is there for me?
- 30:58I'm sitting in the White House in the Oval Office.
- 31:01What have I got to lose?
- 31:02OK,
- 31:02so I lose the campaign.
- 31:03At least
- 31:04every candidate of either party has a shot at winning.
- 31:07Like no matter who you are,
- 31:08they got a corpse in last time.
- 31:10So if I'm Jill Biden,
- 31:11especially,
- 31:12this is the first time in my life people care about my opinion,
- 31:14even though I'm a great doctor,
- 31:16uh,
- 31:16what incentive do I have to walk away from this?
- 31:18There's none.
- 31:19No,
- 31:19there's not,
- 31:20and they had all that power and you know they
- 31:21loved all that power and of course Hunter too.
- 31:23I mean,
- 31:24the last thing you'd want to do is leave office and to the other point,
- 31:29he can say fairly,
- 31:30Kamala Harris has no nationwide traction.
- 31:33She was behind Biden in all the polling.
- 31:36His team would be like.
- 31:37Who's Plan B?
- 31:38She's worse.
- 31:39Yeah.
- 31:40And so
- 31:41explain to me,
- 31:41Michael,
- 31:41how she's not worse,
- 31:43because
- 31:43obviously since she's come in,
- 31:45she's had this adoring media attention.
- 31:47She's basically,
- 31:48you know,
- 31:48Rosa Parks times Barack Obama.
- 31:51She's the most popular,
- 31:52joyful candidate we've ever seen.
- 31:54I mean,
- 31:55all of that has come out.
- 31:56She has cut this deficit.
- 31:58It is a very close race.
- 31:59Why is this working?
- 32:01Because first there's the honeymoon period,
- 32:03right?
- 32:03Whenever we had this also in 2012,
- 32:06when the Republican in the primaries,
- 32:08when Republicans were looking for an alternative to Mitt Romney,
- 32:11for those of us old enough to remember,
- 32:13it's Herman Cain one week,
- 32:14then Michele Bachmann,
- 32:16then Newt Gingrich,
- 32:17uh,
- 32:17the not
- 32:18Biden,
- 32:19that sort of not Romney voters went from
- 32:21candidate to candidate trying to find an alternative.
- 32:23So you have that bubble when someone's new,
- 32:25like,
- 32:25oh,
- 32:25this Sarah Palin,
- 32:27when she was named as the VP.
- 32:28Candidate in 2008,
- 32:30she had a brief honeymoon period until that interview with Katie Couric.
- 32:33So I think
- 32:34as soon as,
- 32:35and it's just today,
- 32:36you know,
- 32:37now she started dropping policies like,
- 32:39let's make raising prices illegal.
- 32:42This woman is not bright.
- 32:44She had to have her sister run her campaign in 2020,
- 32:46and that ended,
- 32:47as you know,
- 32:47disasterly.
- 32:48How disastrously,
- 32:49how bad do you have to be as a Democrat to not even be able to make Iowa,
- 32:53and to have the California bankroll.
- 32:55Funding your campaign,
- 32:56it's,
- 32:56it's insane.
- 32:57So I,
- 32:58I,
- 32:58I,
- 32:58the other thing I think that's interesting is,
- 33:00as I'm sure you've been following as well,
- 33:01Stu,
- 33:02the down ticket issues.
- 33:03Uh,
- 33:04West Virginia is a loss for the Senate race,
- 33:06no one questions that.
- 33:07But Jon Tester of Montana,
- 33:09very purple state,
- 33:10if not reddish,
- 33:11uh,
- 33:12in all polls,
- 33:13is now behind the Republican Senate candidate.
- 33:16So I think things are going to get really squirrelly
- 33:19once those start moving.
- 33:20And the other thing is,
- 33:21Stu.
- 33:22Uh,
- 33:22it's Washington is every man for himself.
- 33:25She's a nightmare to work for by all accounts.
- 33:27People will go to jail for Hillary Clinton.
- 33:30No one's going to jail for Officer Harris
- 33:31except for the people she imprisoned unfairly.
- 33:33So you're going to be seeing a lot of leaks
- 33:35to the press when her campaign doesn't do well,
- 33:38and these people she hired have to make it clear it's not their fault.
- 33:42It's the candidate's fault.
- 33:43Watch.
- 33:44You're going to have rats scurrying a sinking ship because she has no loyalty in DC.
- 33:48Biden had 50 years of a Rolodex.
- 33:50He knew everybody.
- 33:51He could,
- 33:51he could call anyone.
- 33:52He could glad-hand the Republican or Democrat.
- 33:55She has no base within the Republican Party,
- 33:57Democratic Party,
- 33:57excuse me.
- 33:59Uh,
- 33:59last one for you here,
- 34:00Michael,
- 34:00because I've only got about 1 minute left,
- 34:01but
- 34:02if you are,
- 34:03you're operating as the Trump campaign and your goal
- 34:05is to get Kamala Harris in front of people,
- 34:07I think,
- 34:07right?
- 34:08Like you just want her answering questions and doing something.
- 34:11Because as soon as people get to know her,
- 34:12they typically don't like her.
- 34:14What's your strategy to bend this media narrative
- 34:17toward that goal?
- 34:19Um,
- 34:19I would,
- 34:20what I would do is,
- 34:22I,
- 34:22I,
- 34:22it's gonna be very hard
- 34:24because,
- 34:24you know,
- 34:24they're both on the same team.
- 34:25It's like,
- 34:26like if I want to turn you against Glenn,
- 34:27it's gonna be really hard for me to do it because also because Glenn's a great guy.
- 34:31But
- 34:31if he keeps saying,
- 34:33why don't you ask Officer Harris
- 34:35if 9 month,
- 34:36uh,
- 34:36uh,
- 34:36pregnancy it still counts as being a woman's choice?
- 34:39Why don't you ask Officer Harris this?
- 34:41Why don't you ask Officer Harris that?
- 34:42At a certain point,
- 34:43if not the media,
- 34:44we're at a point where people are asking the candidates to themselves,
- 34:47you know,
- 34:47she's going to have these town halls,
- 34:49she's going to have these meetings.
- 34:50They tried to do it a little bit with Hillary in 2016,
- 34:52and they were largely successful,
- 34:54but she's not going to have that luxury.
- 34:55And I don't think you could trust CNN or even Fox to ask her tough questions,
- 34:59but you can ask those citizens who are in those rooms to get in front of that mic,
- 35:04and watching her hem and haw is going to be.
- 35:06Absolutely hilarious.
- 35:07It's gonna be fascinating to watch.
- 35:08And just so you know,
- 35:09Michael,
- 35:09I will turn against Glenn for a 6-inch Subway sandwich.
- 35:11Uh,
- 35:12that is the price.
- 35:13So at any point,
- 35:13maybe that's Subway,
- 35:14that's not a good,
- 35:15let's try another restaurant.
- 35:17that connotation is there.
- 35:19That's true,
- 35:19very true.
- 35:20Uh,
- 35:20Michael Valli,
- 35:21the host of You're Welcome,
- 35:22the podcast and author of The White Pill,
- 35:25A Tale of Good and Evil.
- 35:27Michael,
- 35:27thanks so much for coming on the program.
- 35:28Always a great pleasure.
- 35:29Take care.
- 35:37Um,
- 35:37let's go with a 6 inch Jersey Mike's sandwich.
- 35:40Let's be,
- 35:40let's be careful here.
- 35:42Uh,
- 35:42in fact,
- 35:43speaking of Glenn,
- 35:43uh,
- 35:44he started a company a while ago.
- 35:45It's called Real Estate Agents ITrust.com,
- 35:47and it was a great idea.
- 35:48I mean,
- 35:49I don't like to give Glenn credit
- 35:50for having good ideas,
- 35:51but,
- 35:52uh,
- 35:52occasionally he does,
- 35:53and Real Estate Agents ITrust.com was a great idea because
- 35:56it's one of those things like here's a
- 35:58really important decision you're making in your life.
- 36:00You're looking for someone to represent
- 36:01you in your biggest financial transaction,
- 36:04and
- 36:04the way we do it is like.
- 36:07I know a friend of a friend of a friend who kind of just started,
- 36:10they're doing it part time.
- 36:11Can you go with them?
- 36:11It'll be,
- 36:12it'll really help,
- 36:13it'll really help them out.
- 36:14And it's like,
- 36:14well,
- 36:14that's not the way you make a decision.
- 36:16You would not do that for like a lawyer,
- 36:18right?
- 36:18Like you would go with the best lawyer you could find.
- 36:20Well,
- 36:20if you're looking for the best real estate agent you can find,
- 36:22you can find them at real estate agents
- 36:24Irust.com because they do the screening for you.
- 36:26They do the entire process,
- 36:27they look at the results,
- 36:28they look at.
- 36:29Who this person is,
- 36:30what the markets look like,
- 36:31and find you the right person to fit your needs.
- 36:33It's real estate agents Irust.com.
- 36:35The name kind of says it all,
- 36:37but you should know it's a free service to you.
- 36:39Why not take advantage of it?
- 36:40Real estate agents Irust.com.
- 36:42It's real estate agents Irust.com.
- 36:48I'm here with bad news.
- 36:50I'm here to tell you about trouble in paradise.
- 36:54For years and years and years,
- 36:56maybe 50 years or so,
- 36:58the close friendship between Joe Biden
- 37:02and Nancy Pelosi after 50 years of smooth sailing
- 37:06is suddenly on the rocks.
- 37:08Yes,
- 37:08it's a shocking development,
- 37:10but
- 37:11the New York Times
- 37:12still
- 37:13was brave enough to report it.
- 37:15When will they speak again?
- 37:17Once close,
- 37:18Biden and Pelosi are at odds,
- 37:20which is surprising if you think about it.
- 37:22They've been friends for a long time.
- 37:23And
- 37:24why would you let a minor thing like,
- 37:27let's say one of the two friends
- 37:29completely
- 37:30destroying the life's work of the other?
- 37:32Why,
- 37:33why would you let that get in the way of a friendship?
- 37:35You know,
- 37:36let's say,
- 37:37you know,
- 37:37just because Nancy Pelosi
- 37:39undercut him at every turn and spoke behind the scenes to media
- 37:43sources and leaked all sorts of terrible things about Joe Biden.
- 37:48To the media.
- 37:49Now of course,
- 37:50to be clear,
- 37:51most of those things were true.
- 37:52I mean,
- 37:52he obviously couldn't actually do the job,
- 37:55but
- 37:56why would he be so sensitive about that?
- 37:59Just get over it,
- 38:00Joe.
- 38:00I mean,
- 38:01sure,
- 38:01you worked your entire life to become President of the United States and your
- 38:04good buddy completely is responsible for kicking you out of the White House.
- 38:09But just let it,
- 38:10it's called letting it roll off your back,
- 38:12you know what I mean?
- 38:13Be a little bit more agile here.
- 38:15Every once in a while these things happen.
- 38:17You have these minor disagreements where one friend in a relationship
- 38:20completely destroys the life of another one along with their reputation.
- 38:24And honestly,
- 38:25any thought that they might be coherent.
- 38:27And sure that happens every once in a while,
- 38:29even if
- 38:30one of the people like Nancy Pelosi is actually older
- 38:32than Joe Biden.
- 38:34Now I think both of these people are
- 38:36honestly terrible human beings in every way possible,
- 38:39so I don't really care what happens to them.
- 38:41That's the bad part of me.
- 38:42But the good part of me looks at this and
- 38:44says basically Nancy Pelosi destroyed the twilight of Joe Biden's life.
- 38:50So the fact that they're not talking all that much doesn't really surprise me
- 38:54too,
- 38:55too much.
- 39:06I'm a proud American.
- 39:07Are you?
- 39:08I mean,
- 39:08I,
- 39:08I'm,
- 39:09we actually had,
- 39:10uh,
- 39:10Lee Greenwood in studio today.
- 39:13Proud to be
- 39:14an American.
- 39:15And look,
- 39:16if you're a proud American,
- 39:17there's some things that go along with that,
- 39:18patriotism,
- 39:19love of the country,
- 39:20uh.
- 39:21You know,
- 39:21Self-reliance is a big one,
- 39:23and that's why I rely on my Patriot supply.

- 40:32Let me tell you an unbelievable story.
- 40:33Unbelievable,
- 40:34and
- 40:34unbelievable can mean a couple of different things.
- 40:36Sometimes it means,
- 40:37ah,
- 40:37it's unbelievable,
- 40:38it's an amazing story,
- 40:39and sometimes it means
- 40:40it is an unbelievable story in the way that it should not be believed.
- 40:44I'm not exactly sure which one of that this is,
- 40:47but
- 40:48the headline is a drunken evening,
- 40:49a rented yacht,
- 40:51the real story of the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage.
- 40:54You of course remember the story after the start of the Ukraine-Russia war.
- 40:59Let me give you the first paragraph.
- 41:00This is the Wall Street Journal,
- 41:01and it is worth a read,
- 41:01even if you don't believe it at all.
- 41:03It was a kind of outlandish scheme that might bubble up
- 41:05in a bar around closing time in May of 2022.
- 41:08A handful of senior Ukrainian military officers and a businessman had gathered
- 41:13to toast their country's remarkable success in halting the Russian invasion.
- 41:16Buoyed by alcohol and patriotic fervor,
- 41:20somebody suggested a radical next step,
- 41:22destroying Nord Stream.
- 41:23It goes on to basically say,
- 41:26That this meeting of some military guys,
- 41:28some business guys,
- 41:30led up to a plot
- 41:32to blow up the Nord Stream pipeline and cut off Germany from all its natural gas.
- 41:37It really hurt their economy.
- 41:38They rented a yacht,
- 41:40did some diving training,
- 41:42and 6 people on a yacht.
- 41:44They went down.
- 41:45They put explosives on the Nord Stream,
- 41:48and then blew a hole in it.
- 41:50Where it gets really shady because you could see a couple
- 41:53of special operators maybe going down and doing something like this.
- 41:55Where it gets really shady is apparently
- 41:58I think it was the Dutch or the Danish
- 42:01intelligence got a hold of this information and told the United States about it,
- 42:04the CIA.
- 42:05The CIA then reportedly in this story told
- 42:09the Ukrainian government about it and said,
- 42:12Hey,
- 42:12you can't do this.
- 42:13Apparently it had been agreed
- 42:14to be done by Zelensky
- 42:16at one point.
- 42:17The reporting says,
- 42:18well,
- 42:18Zelensky tried to cut it off,
- 42:20but it was too late and they blew it up anyway.
- 42:22That part seems really shady to me,
- 42:25but
- 42:25I will say this.
- 42:27I've been saying this a lot lately,
- 42:28but I will say it again.
- 42:30At some point we're going to have a really great movie
- 42:33that tells this story.
- 42:42A week from tonight we're gonna have live
- 42:44coverage of the aftermath of whatever Kamala does.
- 42:48We're actually gonna be,
- 42:49um,
- 42:49doing sort of a live roast,
- 42:51watching the speech that Kamala does at the end of the DNC,
- 42:55and a bunch of great people are gonna be here making fun of it.
