- 0:08Speaker 1: Scandal and vice. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Welcome to the Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Rob Shooter. It is Thursday, really my favourite day of
- 0:21Speaker 1: the week for several reasons. All the New Yorkers go
- 0:24Speaker 1: out on Thursday. If ever you are in New York
- 0:26Speaker 1: or any city, it's the last night of the week
- 0:30Speaker 1: before the weekend crowd turns up. I love the weekend crowd.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I love them, I love them, I love them. But
- 0:34Speaker 1: if you actually want to meet people who live in
- 0:36Speaker 1: a city, Thursday's the night we go out because... we
- 0:39Speaker 1: can be hung over Friday and make it through one day.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I can't go out on a Monday because I can't
- 0:44Speaker 1: mess up the whole week. But if I get messed
- 0:46Speaker 1: up tonight, then I can stagger through Friday. Another reason
- 0:52Speaker 1: I love our Thursdays is our dear friend Mark Looper
- 0:54Speaker 1: joins us. Hey, Looper, you know something about going out
- 0:56Speaker 1: on a Thursday. I love, I love, I love. I do,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I do.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Looper Looper's here and I might be going out tonight
- 1:01Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I actually might be flying to London tonight. I know
- 1:06Speaker 1: it sounds insane, but normally you would know that stuff.
- 1:09Speaker 1: But there was a big meltdown at all the airports.
- 1:12Speaker 1: The whole system went down. So I was planning to
- 1:15Speaker 1: fly tonight, but I don't think I want to fly
- 1:18Speaker 1: unless they can land the plane.
- 1:22Speaker 2: That would be helpful. Yeah, especially tomorrow's 9-11 too.
- 1:25Speaker 1: That's right. Well, I'm a bit of a nervous Nelly too,
- 1:28Speaker 1: so I'd rather fly tonight. I have feelings about 9-11
- 1:32Speaker 1: like every New Yorker, everybody in the world does. And
- 1:35Speaker 1: so I'm not sure I want to fly tomorrow. I'll
- 1:37Speaker 1: text you and let you know. Okay, let's jump into
- 1:40Speaker 1: the show. What time is it, my friends? It is
- 1:43Speaker 1: tea time. Big story at the top of the show.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So Harry has been dealt a major blow in the UK.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So if you remember just a few days ago, the
- 1:52Speaker 1: King issued a really stern letter. Notice, it was shocking.
- 1:57Speaker 1: They don't normally do this. The royals ignore issues. They
- 2:01Speaker 1: really do. What's that expression? Carry on, keep calm and
- 2:04Speaker 1: carry on. That's who that family is. They didn't. They
- 2:07Speaker 1: fired off a message. They didn't need to put out,
- 2:10Speaker 1: but they did. Basically reminding not only Harry and Meghan,
- 2:14Speaker 1: But everybody in Britain, that they are not working royals.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They've told the army. They've told the government. They've told
- 2:21Speaker 1: the local police. They've told all the local counties. Everybody
- 2:25Speaker 1: that represents the crown throughout the kingdom has been told
- 2:28Speaker 1: by the king. No, they are private citizens. Well, they
- 2:33Speaker 1: are shocked. They've even said that. Their spokespersons said they
- 2:36Speaker 1: were a little bit surprised. I was surprised too. So
- 2:39Speaker 1: it really was a shot across the bow. That was
- 2:42Speaker 1: what was fired here. By the King, I'm reporting, and
- 2:45Speaker 1: I know I'm right, that William was involved in this.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But things have got worse. I mean, they've only been
- 2:50Speaker 1: back for two weeks and already they've messed everything up.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So the Invictus Games is Harry's big thing. Next year
- 2:57Speaker 1: in Birmingham, my home city, there's a big gathering for
- 3:00Speaker 1: the Invictus Games. Well, Uganda has pulled out, saying that
- 3:04Speaker 1: they couldn't possibly be part of it because it would
- 3:07Speaker 1: be disloyal to the King. So now countries are pulling out. Now,
- 3:12Speaker 1: why this is such a big story is it's not
- 3:15Speaker 1: about Uganda. It's about the bigger picture here. Within London,
- 3:20Speaker 1: within Britain, my sources are telling me people are taking sides.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So if you're a member of the fancy Soho house
- 3:27Speaker 1: in London, that's Meghan territory. She's very close with the owners.
- 3:33Speaker 1: In fact, that's her first date with Harry was at
- 3:35Speaker 1: the Soho house. So I'm told membership sucks. of the
- 3:38Speaker 1: Soho House has dropped because nobody wants to be caught
- 3:42Speaker 1: there because William and Kate will know what's going on.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to call her Catherine now. I've got a
- 3:47Speaker 1: few notes. In Britain, they're very sensitive about calling her Kate.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So I'm trying to call her Catherine. It's fine. You know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you can call yourself whatever you want. I don't want
- 3:55Speaker 1: to offend anybody. But I think this is so interesting, Mark. Society.
- 3:59Speaker 1: London society are not going to go against the king.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Why would you? Why would you pick a duke and
- 4:05Speaker 1: a duchess in the Cotswolds? Very nice. Very nice. Why
- 4:09Speaker 1: would you pick that side? What do you think?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Well, first, I think it's incredible how the palace has
- 4:13Speaker 2: out-pettyed themselves with this notice to all of us. Their
- 4:17Speaker 2: non-working world is incredible. I just, I still can't get
- 4:20Speaker 2: over it. You know, listen, I think this is dramatic
- 4:25Speaker 2: and I think it's embarrassing. However, I don't think that
- 4:27Speaker 2: Uganda needed to insert themselves into this family drama. They
- 4:30Speaker 2: really didn't need to do this. You know, this is
- 4:32Speaker 2: Harry's thing. It has nothing to do with. the King
- 4:35Speaker 2: and you know, this is about veterans. This is about
- 4:37Speaker 2: people who have been injured. This is not about anything else.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And there's no reason to make it about anything else.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I think they wanted some attention. They got it.
- 4:45Speaker 1: They got it. They got it. But the problem is,
- 4:47Speaker 1: is that once one person, once one country does this,
- 4:50Speaker 1: it sets a precedent and others do follow. We've seen
- 4:54Speaker 1: this a million times. Everybody in show business knew Ellen
- 4:57Speaker 1: was awful, but it took one person to pull their
- 5:00Speaker 1: thumb out of the dam and And once one person
- 5:02Speaker 1: said she's a really horrible boss, then everybody came flooding forward.
- 5:07Speaker 1: So Uganda, I don't know if they're going to start
- 5:10Speaker 1: a revolution here. And I'm not putting down Uganda at all.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But I think that this is so interesting. So I'm
- 5:15Speaker 1: hearing whispers of this in London. I'm hearing whispers of,
- 5:19Speaker 1: if we invite Harry and Meghan to our charity, what
- 5:22Speaker 1: does that mean for Catherine and William? We've had this, Mark.
- 5:26Speaker 1: We've had mutual friends who we've had words with, who
- 5:29Speaker 1: we've fell out with. We've had people who we've worked with,
- 5:31Speaker 1: who have been fired, who we actually like. But do
- 5:35Speaker 1: we stay friends with them? Because that does not look
- 5:38Speaker 1: good at all. And so it's a really big question here.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm quite careful on this. I try to separate work
- 5:46Speaker 1: from friendship. But sometimes the boundaries, the lines get a
- 5:50Speaker 1: little bit blurred. And I know I'm not going to
- 5:53Speaker 1: cut off my nose to spite my face. If you
- 5:58Speaker 1: are paying me, and that's ultimately what this is about,
- 6:01Speaker 1: the king is in charge of the money. The king
- 6:04Speaker 1: is literally, duh, the king. He's the boss. Why would
- 6:09Speaker 1: I want to upset the king? It's true. It's true.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Like last night, for example, I was out at a
- 6:15Speaker 2: movie premiere. And I ran into some former colleagues of
- 6:18Speaker 2: a job that no longer, you know, they left on
- 6:21Speaker 2: whatever terms. But like, I also kept it peaceful because
- 6:24Speaker 2: you never know where you might end up in life.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You never know what job you're going to be working
- 6:28Speaker 2: at next. And so I don't want to create problems
- 6:31Speaker 2: for myself.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I just keep the peace. Well, you're very good at
- 6:34Speaker 1: being Switzerland. You're very neutral. I've seen you do it.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I've seen you do it. I'm not as good at that.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm not as good. Because I'm all in. I'm all in.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I love you. I hate you. I'm all in. You
- 6:44Speaker 1: can be very, very diplomatic. That's the word. What can
- 6:49Speaker 1: you be naughty? Which brings us to our poll question
- 6:52Speaker 1: of the day. Prince Harry has been hit with a
- 6:54Speaker 1: setback as Uganda has withdrew from the Invictus Games. Is
- 6:59Speaker 1: this the first of many? Is this going to fall apart?
- 7:02Speaker 1: Not just the games, but life in Britain. If Uganda
- 7:06Speaker 1: doesn't want to be associated with Prince Harry, really? Does
- 7:10Speaker 1: the Soho House? Does the fancy places in London? Like,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's a real question. Hey, go vote on our Twitter page,
- 7:19Speaker 1: our ex-page at Naughty Knives Rob, our Facebook page, which
- 7:23Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip, and be sure... to check back tomorrow
- 7:27Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, Lupe, what are you working on? Oh, right.
- 7:30Speaker 2: So Dolly Parton has hid her cancer battle from much
- 7:33Speaker 2: of her family, and she didn't want anyone to worry,
- 7:36Speaker 2: as her sister is telling us now. So she kept
- 7:39Speaker 2: the secret from many of her own family members because
- 7:41Speaker 2: she couldn't bear the thought of worrying them. Her sister, Stella,
- 7:45Speaker 2: has revealed that while the closest people to Dolly knew
- 7:48Speaker 2: she was ill, many did not. She said Dolly could
- 7:51Speaker 2: not bear negative things. She added that her sister didn't
- 7:54Speaker 2: want fans to worry about anything. And even in the end,
- 7:58Speaker 2: she was trying to protect people and thinking of others.
- 8:03Speaker 2: What do you think, Rob?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Beautiful. But why are the sisters telling us now? If
- 8:07Speaker 1: Dolly wanted this to be a big secret, why blab
- 8:09Speaker 1: a mouth sitting down with Gayle King? I mean, I'm
- 8:12Speaker 1: working on a story at the moment that loose lips
- 8:14Speaker 1: in this family. I get it. You've been in Dolly's
- 8:17Speaker 1: shadow your entire life. Dolly's the star of that family. Now,
- 8:21Speaker 1: Stella's also a performer. She's tried to have a big
- 8:24Speaker 1: music career. Didn't quite happen. Nothing embarrassing. She's had a
- 8:27Speaker 1: couple of hits. I think she can sell out some venues.
- 8:30Speaker 1: But she's not Dolly Parton. Well, now Dolly is gone.
- 8:33Speaker 1: All these big shows want her on. But she's making
- 8:38Speaker 1: the mistake of thinking they want her on. They don't.
- 8:42Speaker 1: They want Stella on to talk about Dolly. When I
- 8:46Speaker 1: first got booked on TV, Mark, I was so stupid.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I thought they wanted me. No, they want gossip about
- 8:53Speaker 1: Alicia Keys or they want gossip about people, Jessica Simpson,
- 8:57Speaker 1: people I've worked with. I was very, very foolish about this.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Do you remember that guy? He's gay now, but he
- 9:04Speaker 1: did marry Star Jones. His name's Al Reynolds. Well, Al
- 9:09Speaker 1: was on the cover of either Ebony or Essence. I
- 9:11Speaker 1: think it was Essence magazine when he married Star Jones. Well,
- 9:15Speaker 1: he's posted that cover on Facebook saying what an honour
- 9:19Speaker 1: it was to be asked to be on the cover
- 9:21Speaker 1: of Essence magazine. Now, what I wanted to say is
- 9:25Speaker 1: you weren't asked. Star was asked. And you got on
- 9:29Speaker 1: the cover because you married Star. Had I married Star,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I would have been on the cover of Essence magazine too.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So it's often very important to remind yourself why you
- 9:40Speaker 1: are invited to the party. I know when I'm a
- 9:43Speaker 1: plus one. I do, Mark. I know when it's the
- 9:45Speaker 1: Rob Shooter show. I do, Mark. Sometimes I do push
- 9:49Speaker 1: it a little bit too far and try to make
- 9:51Speaker 1: it a bit like me when it's not. But I
- 9:53Speaker 1: know my place in this system. It's a good lesson, Mark.
- 9:57Speaker 1: it's you know why you're invited to you get invited
- 10:00Speaker 1: to everything you also have a fabulous job would the
- 10:05Speaker 1: invites come without the position no they.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Don't and then that's the thing is like you have
- 10:09Speaker 2: to recognize why and you take advantage of it for
- 10:12Speaker 2: what it is and i think for dolly sister she
- 10:14Speaker 2: made this it's truly an amateur mistake but i noticed
- 10:17Speaker 2: that she was doing it When Dolly was sick and
- 10:19Speaker 2: she made that statement like, oh.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know, prayers for Dolly. She did.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Girl, no one asked you for that. No one asked
- 10:25Speaker 2: you to chime in.
- 10:27Speaker 1: In fact, they told her to shut up. Dolly said,
- 10:29Speaker 1: take that down. This one is going to be our
- 10:32Speaker 1: way into the world of Dolly. Stella, if you're listening,
- 10:35Speaker 1: I love loose lips. I do. I love them. Because
- 10:36Speaker 1: of what we do for a living. If you were
- 10:38Speaker 1: my sister, I'd be furious. But you're not my sister.
- 10:40Speaker 1: You're Dolly's. Keep talking and we will keep listening. It's
- 10:44Speaker 1: amazing how everybody just wants that second in the spotlight moment. OK,
- 10:48Speaker 1: moving forward. Sandra Bullock is breaking her silence about Jesse James.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Remember Jesse James? Big, burly, hunky chap covered in tattoos,
- 10:56Speaker 1: always on a motorbike. Well, she was married to him.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I completely forgot his cheating scandal in 2010, 16 years ago.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And she said she never, ever talks about it. But
- 11:05Speaker 1: she said it was a dark time. That's sort of
- 11:07Speaker 1: a code, isn't it? When people say it was a
- 11:09Speaker 1: really dark time. That means it was horrific. That's one
- 11:14Speaker 1: of our words. We're letting you in on secrets here, Mark.
- 11:17Speaker 1: When you were at Us Weekly and I was at
- 11:19Speaker 1: OK Magazine, if you said someone was erratic, that means
- 11:23Speaker 1: they were on drugs. If you said someone was tricky,
- 11:27Speaker 1: that means they were awful. They were a vile, vile person.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So here to say a really dark time means it
- 11:33Speaker 1: was really awful. She said she was trying to grieve
- 11:36Speaker 1: the end of her marriage. She'd just secretly adopted little Louis.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Remember that son that arrived? Remember that one out of
- 11:42Speaker 1: the blue, Sandra Bullock, and she had a baby in
- 11:44Speaker 1: the attic? We had no idea. There she was on
- 11:46Speaker 1: the cover of People magazine. I did chuckle, too, because
- 11:48Speaker 1: it was the most beautiful, this show. And Julia Roberts
- 11:51Speaker 1: was meant to be the most beautiful. Well, Sandra's news
- 11:54Speaker 1: was bigger. So Sandra got the cover. Julia got a
- 11:57Speaker 1: little teeny tiny box right at the top. Can you
- 11:59Speaker 1: imagine if Julia went to the newsstands or the supermarket,
- 12:02Speaker 1: wherever Julia goes to get her magazines? Maybe she has
- 12:05Speaker 1: somebody to do it for her. Opens up a letterbox,
- 12:08Speaker 1: expecting to see a big old face smiling from ear
- 12:10Speaker 1: to ear on the cover. There's Sandra Boyle with her
- 12:13Speaker 1: little baby. Oh, I would have laughed. I would have screamed.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I screamed if that had happened to me. Well, it
- 12:18Speaker 1: did happen to Julia Roberts. But back to Sandra. I
- 12:21Speaker 1: think this is as much as we're going to get
- 12:23Speaker 1: about Jessie James. I don't think she's ever going to
- 12:25Speaker 1: do a big tell-all. I don't think she's ever going
- 12:27Speaker 1: to reveal everything. But this is a crack mark. This
- 12:31Speaker 1: is a step. What do you think?
- 12:33Speaker 2: It's pretty incredible. After 16 years, she's kept a secret
- 12:36Speaker 2: for this long. I always kind of wondered why she
- 12:39Speaker 2: selected him. He was just kind of lowbrow and looked
- 12:42Speaker 2: a little dirty. And he just seemed lesser then.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And so I.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I'm happy that it worked out in the way that
- 12:47Speaker 2: it did.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Mark, haven't you once or twice, not now, not with
- 12:52Speaker 1: the lovely Kevin, but haven't you once or twice dated
- 12:56Speaker 1: somebody who might look a little bit rough to Doris?
- 13:00Speaker 2: I've had a few drive-bys, but they were drive-bys. They
- 13:03Speaker 2: didn't get married.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I know, but if you were Sandra Bullock, If you
- 13:07Speaker 1: get into that drive, you ain't going to drive by.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You're going to hold on. If you get into Sandra's garage,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I'm not making metaphors here, and I'm certainly not trying
- 13:15Speaker 1: to be dirty, although that sounded terrible. But I think
- 13:19Speaker 1: that she liked him. She thought it was a little
- 13:21Speaker 1: bit of fun, and he wouldn't let go. I mean,
- 13:24Speaker 1: would you? Sandra Bullock. Yeah, I never got those two.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I don't get Taylor and Travis. I'm not saying Travis
- 13:30Speaker 1: is Jesse, but I don't. Get it? It's so interesting
- 13:34Speaker 1: who people date, isn't it? It tells you a lot
- 13:37Speaker 1: about them. When somebody has a bit of a rough partner,
- 13:40Speaker 1: I mean, I always ask, I wonder, I wonder, I
- 13:43Speaker 1: wonder why. Okay, quickly before we get a break, what
- 13:45Speaker 1: is Sharon Osbourne up to? Greedy, greedy, greedy. What is
- 13:48Speaker 1: she up to?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Drama. So Sharon Osbourne is taking legal action to remove
- 13:52Speaker 2: Ozzy Osbourne's longtime accountant, Colin Newman, as an executive of
- 13:56Speaker 2: the rock star's Legends Will. Sharon has filed documents with
- 14:00Speaker 2: England's High Court seeking Newman's removal. But the reason remains unknown.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Well, I think we know. It's the money. It's the money.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And listen, he's been with the family since 1982. They've
- 14:11Speaker 2: been long-time friends. And his estate is worth $ 100 million.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Mark, you just buried the leader. That's why this is happening.
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's really naughty, though, because when Ozzy passed, he knew
- 14:25Speaker 1: who his executor was because he had to decide it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You don't just get to be someone's executor automatically. They
- 14:31Speaker 1: decide that person. And if they pick their accountant who
- 14:35Speaker 1: they've had. for 50 years, 40, 50 years. It's probably
- 14:39Speaker 1: a good choice. He decided not to make Sharon the executor.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm not saying there's any drama there. Often you want
- 14:46Speaker 1: a professional, particularly when your estate is worth 100 million.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Like when I go, I go, Mark, God forbid it
- 14:53Speaker 1: will be a sad day, Mark. You could be my
- 14:55Speaker 1: executor because I've got nothing. There's not anything to really
- 14:58Speaker 1: executor over. But if I had 100 million, I'd want
- 15:02Speaker 1: myself a really good executor. I'd want a professional. I'd
- 15:05Speaker 1: want someone that understood money. Sharon's got her eye on
- 15:09Speaker 1: that money. It's also control. She wants to be in control.
- 15:13Speaker 1: No one's going to do any dodginess here. There's enough
- 15:16Speaker 1: money for everybody. The executor doesn't get the money. It's
- 15:19Speaker 1: not like he gets the hundred million. He has to
- 15:22Speaker 1: follow the will. And so Sharon, maybe there's stuff in
- 15:25Speaker 1: the will that Sharon doesn't like. Maybe Sharon wants all
- 15:28Speaker 1: the money. Maybe Ozzy's going to give it to his kids.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Maybe a charity. Maybe his beloved Birmingham, the city where
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm from, where he was born. And maybe that she
- 15:37Speaker 1: doesn't like his final wishes. But that's the whole point.
- 15:40Speaker 1: They're his final wishes. They're his final wishes. They're not Sharon's.
- 15:46Speaker 1: They're his. Oof, I love a little bit of drama.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It's always about money. It's always about money. That's how
- 15:52Speaker 1: people fall out. Okay, we're not going to fall out
- 15:54Speaker 1: at all, but we've got to make some money, so
- 15:56Speaker 1: we've got to run some ads, and we will be
- 15:58Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice Show.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter. Hey, let's get to the polls. Dun, dun, dun.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Last year we had an exclusive that the palace is
- 16:11Speaker 1: bracing for an all-out war with Harry and Meghan, who
- 16:16Speaker 1: now feel empowered because they've got nothing to lose. The
- 16:19Speaker 1: last time they were in Britain six years ago, they
- 16:21Speaker 1: were still new at this. Meghan was still new at this.
- 16:23Speaker 1: They were frightened of upsetting the Queen. They were part
- 16:25Speaker 1: of the family. They were frightened of not getting the perks,
- 16:29Speaker 1: of not getting the good assignments. They're getting nothing. And
- 16:31Speaker 1: so now they've got nothing to lose. So they are
- 16:35Speaker 1: empowered and they are clapping back. The king put out
- 16:39Speaker 1: a harsh statement. It was a petty statement. They clapped
- 16:42Speaker 1: back right away. On the record, their spokesperson, normally what
- 16:46Speaker 1: happens here is it's off the record. Source is close
- 16:49Speaker 1: to Harry and Meghan. It means they're people. But when
- 16:53Speaker 1: they actually put their name on it, a spokesperson put
- 16:55Speaker 1: out a statement. Oh, this is going to be messy, messy, messy.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Who's going to win ultimately? The king or the duke? 96%
- 17:02Speaker 1: said the king. That's a pretty high number. I think
- 17:06Speaker 1: you're probably right. Hey, don't forget to vote on today's
- 17:09Speaker 1: ex-Twitter page. You can go there. It's at Naughty Nice Rob.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. And be sure to
- 17:17Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's
- 17:21Speaker 1: time for our nicest of the day. Alba. It's Chris Rock.
- 17:29Speaker 1: That's unusual. Very unusual.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So he's revealing the one condition that would get him
- 17:33Speaker 2: back to the Oscars after being slapped.
- 17:36Speaker 1: By Will Smith. Ouch.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So four years after Will Smith slapped him on stage.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Four years.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Four years. It's crazy. Rock says the infamous moment continues
- 17:45Speaker 2: to overshadow his career. And something he wishes had never happened. Rock,
- 17:50Speaker 2: who had previously hosted the ceremony twice, isn't completely ruling
- 17:54Speaker 2: out another appearance. But don't expect him in the audience
- 17:57Speaker 2: anytime soon. He said, I'm not getting nominated. The only
- 18:01Speaker 2: way I'll go back is if I'm getting nominated. And
- 18:04Speaker 2: if that happens, we'll deal with it if it happens.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I think that's really sweet. I think talking about this
- 18:13Speaker 1: stuff is always good. Talk about the most embarrassing moments
- 18:16Speaker 1: in your life. Because if you're not going to talk
- 18:18Speaker 1: about it, other people are. And so I think this
- 18:20Speaker 1: is quite a clever thing to do here. And it's also, too, very,
- 18:23Speaker 1: very clever, very, very smart that he's reminding the Academy
- 18:26Speaker 1: he would love to have himself. an Oscar nomination. And
- 18:31Speaker 1: they really do owe him a do-over, let's say. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: was the one that was slapped. The person that did
- 18:37Speaker 1: the slapping got an Oscar. And so I think here,
- 18:42Speaker 1: next time nominations come around, if you want to make
- 18:44Speaker 1: a wrong right, and let's be honest, Oscars are not
- 18:47Speaker 1: always given out. for just the one acting role. It's
- 18:51Speaker 1: the body of work. It's the circumstances. A lot of
- 18:54Speaker 1: people have won Oscars because Hollywood likes them, Julia Roberts.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Not because of necessarily their acting abilities. And so maybe, maybe,
- 19:06Speaker 1: maybe Chris will get himself an Oscar, at least a nomination.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I hope he does. Now, I noticed today, naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty,
- 19:12Speaker 1: Kim Zoliak, who is on The Real Housewives of Atlanta,
- 19:15Speaker 1: big blonde hair, a 15-year-old son, He's making legal moves
- 19:19Speaker 1: to avoid being tried as an adult. He's 15 years old.
- 19:22Speaker 1: His name is KJ, and he's asked a judge to
- 19:25Speaker 1: move his sexual assault case to juvenile court. He's been
- 19:29Speaker 1: held in an Atlanta youth detention center since August. He
- 19:32Speaker 1: was arrested on several felony charges. Really ugly, ugly stuff here.
- 19:38Speaker 1: This is just so messy. It is so Bravo. For me,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Bravo has jumped the shark. There are now just too
- 19:47Speaker 1: many people associated with Bravo who have just been accused
- 19:51Speaker 1: of awful things. I can't think of another company who've
- 19:55Speaker 1: had this many allegations brought against them. If this was
- 19:59Speaker 1: my company and we'd got five, six, seven, now maybe
- 20:03Speaker 1: eight or nine employees who had been accused of of
- 20:07Speaker 1: horrific things. I'd have to wonder, what's going on at
- 20:09Speaker 1: my company? There's something going on. Hmm. Say no more, Mark.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Say bite your tongue, bite your tongue, because I know
- 20:17Speaker 1: you've got some, bite your tongue. Bite it, bite it.
- 20:19Speaker 1: That's it. But I can see I'm not going to
- 20:22Speaker 1: let you get in trouble. Let's end with a moment
- 20:24Speaker 1: of Rob. You've got to Rob, you've got to Rob,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you've got to Rob. Burnout happens when you treat rest
- 20:29Speaker 1: as a reward. Did you hear that? Do you think
- 20:31Speaker 1: rest is a reward? No, it's not. It's absolutely essential.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Stop thinking of rest as something you earn. Rest isn't
- 20:39Speaker 1: a prize after you've exhausted yourself. It's part of the
- 20:43Speaker 1: strategy that allows you to win. It's so interesting, Mark.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I have done this. I have... delayed delayed my rest
- 20:53Speaker 1: delayed my sleep i have delayed taking 10 minutes off
- 20:58Speaker 1: i've delayed going for a walk i've delayed going to
- 21:01Speaker 1: the gym because i'm just too busy i've got it
- 21:04Speaker 1: all wrong i'm gonna do my job better if i
- 21:08Speaker 1: sleep well if i rest well if i take time
- 21:12Speaker 1: out if i go and get a cup of tea
- 21:14Speaker 1: i'm It's not a reward. It is essential to the job. Hey,
- 21:19Speaker 1: that is it for today. Thank you so much for
- 21:22Speaker 1: listening to The Naughty But Nice with Rob and Mark Show.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We're a production of iHeartRadio and Elvis Duran. Don't forget
- 21:27Speaker 1: to check out my new novel. It's called Queen Elizabeth III.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Interesting title. It's set 15 years in the future. We
- 21:35Speaker 1: have a new monarch on the throne, and it's not
- 21:38Speaker 1: who you think it might be. Hey, it's available right
- 21:40Speaker 1: now for pre-orders today. And remember, all together now, let
- 21:44Speaker 1: me hear you singing along. If you're going to be naughty,
- 21:48Speaker 1: you've got to be. Let me hear you. Naughty but
- 21:52Speaker 1: nice with Rob.
