- 0:00Speaker 1: Six Points Light FM. It is uh Jack and Christine
- 0:04Speaker 1: this morning. A couple of things. First of all, I
- 0:06Speaker 1: need to know whether you are going to walk or
- 0:09Speaker 1: go up to twelve and come down. Our lobby is
- 0:11Speaker 1: you know, is getting shut down here and we're trying
- 0:14Speaker 1: to figure we have a choice of either walking. Now
- 0:16Speaker 1: those most people know what midtown Manhattan is like, you've
- 0:20Speaker 1: seen pictures, you've been here. There's no stairs, but they
- 0:23Speaker 1: say we could take the stairs, which is kind of funny,
- 0:27Speaker 1: and then we could go up to the top floor
- 0:30Speaker 1: and come back down to our floor.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I go up there, come down. I haven't figured this
- 0:34Speaker 2: out yet, but I guess I better because it's happening.
- 0:37Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:38Speaker 2: So we have a construction project by the way for
- 0:41Speaker 2: six months or something right there till.
- 0:43Speaker 1: The end of the year. Okay, yeah, so that's a
- 0:46Speaker 1: lot of walking. Yeah, anyway, I'll be nice and thin bite.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good workout for us.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Number two Cubby is finally landed in Taiwan. He left
- 0:54Speaker 1: what a week ago.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Producer Kristin and I are working this out. Has in Thailand?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Has he arrived? Kristen, We've been traced there so two.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Days I still find amazing. Ye got the location on
- 1:07Speaker 1: his phone.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we tagged him, We Apple tagged him, making sure
- 1:10Speaker 2: he's safe and sound. But he did arrive. Yes, okay,
- 1:13Speaker 2: all right, so he's probably gonna sleep. I would sleep
- 1:16Speaker 2: for days if it were me, because it was two
- 1:18Speaker 2: full days of.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Track would have been on so much. I would have
- 1:20Speaker 1: slept during this whole entire period. And finally next week,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you're not going to be here. You are going to
- 1:26Speaker 1: sail a mess.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Say, I have wanted to do this. The first play
- 1:31Speaker 2: I ever did, Jack was The Crucible, and so I've
- 1:35Speaker 2: kind of like, why haven't I done this before? And
- 1:37Speaker 2: Eric hasn't been there either, and he spends a lot
- 1:39Speaker 2: of time in Boston. So yes, we're going up just
- 1:42Speaker 2: for a couple of days, and very excited about it,
- 1:46Speaker 2: and booked a room at an inn that is allegedly haunted,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and we are staying within.
- 1:52Speaker 1: The inn, sleep tight.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We are staying in the room that supposedly is the
- 1:58Speaker 2: haunted room.
- 1:58Speaker 1: No less, it was like room in the haunted place.
- 2:01Speaker 2: In the haunted place was the original bedroom from sixteen
- 2:05Speaker 2: something or other.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Now, you know, these old buildings just kind of creak
- 2:08Speaker 1: on their own, right, there will be noises.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I am thinking there's gonna be a lot of noise.
- 2:13Speaker 1: There's gonna be a lot of noise.
- 2:14Speaker 2: This is not gonna be soundproof for sure. I'm sure
- 2:16Speaker 2: we'll hear people walking and everything because there's people in
- 2:19Speaker 2: the house.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So are you gonna pack a night light?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Was? I was gonna pack a white noise miss? Yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 2: maybe a light is a better idea.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's gonna be little like the sound stage you did
- 2:30Speaker 1: your playoff exactly.
- 2:33Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 2:36Speaker 3: expect next on light at them.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I need to tell you two cents Christine's two pretty
- 2:45Speaker 2: cool things.
- 2:46Speaker 1: All right. I'm gonna preface this by saying, this is
- 2:47Speaker 1: a story Christine gave me. We have two We have
- 2:53Speaker 1: two friends at African Safari Wild Safari, the section of
- 2:58Speaker 1: the park where they become friends. They met at a
- 3:01Speaker 1: veterinary clinic. They both weren't feeling well and they've been
- 3:04Speaker 1: grooming each other ever since. We have a one year
- 3:06Speaker 1: old kangaroo named Penny and the other one is an
- 3:10Speaker 1: American bison named Gerdi. And they become best of friends.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And this is great in New Jersey, right, six glives.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Great at the wild Safari section and they've been real buddies.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And that sweet.
- 3:23Speaker 1: See how long that lasts. So when you grow up,
- 3:25Speaker 1: you go different paths, you choose different partners, things happen, Yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 1: your interests change.
- 3:32Speaker 2: All right, we'll see how I do.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I want you to follow up on that with I
- 3:36Speaker 1: will Jack.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I'll follow that story. And also this is really cool
- 3:40Speaker 2: and really important because it's taking place this weekend for
- 3:43Speaker 2: high school students here in New York City. Mayor Mom
- 3:46Speaker 2: Donnie and the Theater Development Fund are running a lottery
- 3:50Speaker 2: so you could receive free tickets to one of seven
- 3:53Speaker 2: Marquee Broadway shows. Wow, amazing shows, because all Broadway shows
- 3:57Speaker 2: are amazing. But like Buena Vista, Social Club, Stranger Things,
- 4:01Speaker 2: The First Shadow, The Lost Boys, Great Gatsby, Two Strangers
- 4:04Speaker 2: carry a Cake across New York. The lottery takes effect
- 4:09Speaker 2: like starting at ten this morning. You want to get
- 4:11Speaker 2: in there on dot NYC, dot gov, slash Broadway and
- 4:16Speaker 2: it runs through Sunday. And all the students who put
- 4:20Speaker 2: their names into the lottery will also get a free
- 4:22Speaker 2: TDF membership for two months, which offers discounted tickets to
- 4:26Speaker 2: Broadway shows and museums and beautiful sites.
- 4:31Speaker 1: How many finalists there are?
- 4:33Speaker 2: How many? No, I don't know how many, but well
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm sure they say wide range. And again you get
- 4:40Speaker 2: that TDF membership. So nobody walks away empty handed.
- 4:43Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Next on light FM.
- 4:48Speaker 1: One six point seven light FM, Good morning, it's Jack
- 4:51Speaker 1: and Christine. If we're not talking about booze, we're talking
- 4:54Speaker 1: about food. Of course, put that bacon, egg and cheese down.
- 4:57Speaker 1: We've got some sandwiches to taste this.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So Helman's did a poll. Jacket's called it Helman's America's
- 5:03Speaker 2: Sandwich Pole. They said, we're celebrating two hundred and fifty
- 5:06Speaker 2: years of the US. What is more American than a sandwich?
- 5:11Speaker 2: And they had this competition and the Philadelphia Cheese Steak
- 5:17Speaker 2: Philly Cheese Steak was named the number one sandwich in
- 5:20Speaker 2: the US.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Philly, you gotta get a good one, though, I mean,
- 5:24Speaker 1: are people making good ones? Are they just accepting what
- 5:27Speaker 1: you get?
- 5:28Speaker 2: I have any idea, I honestly never get it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I've never ordered I've lived in Philadelphia for a while.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I've never ordered a Philly cheese steak outside of New
- 5:36Speaker 1: Jersey Philadelphia, right.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Right, But that was they kind of did this in brackets, right,
- 5:40Speaker 2: so all the states could vote for their for their
- 5:43Speaker 2: favorite sandwich, and then they then you had to vote
- 5:46Speaker 2: again and narrow it down to the So it's probably
- 5:49Speaker 2: the states that voted the most. But I'm just saying,
- 5:51Speaker 2: but Philly cheese steak came in number one, followed by
- 5:53Speaker 2: the burnt and sandwich from Kansas.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Some great barbecue there is.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Patty Melts came in third, followed by Texas with their
- 6:03Speaker 2: chopped brisket sandwich. And here we are New Jersey and
- 6:07Speaker 2: our Italian sub made it onto the list, followed by
- 6:11Speaker 2: Illinois with their Italian beef, Alabama pulled chicken with white sauce,
- 6:15Speaker 2: and California's tuna salad.
- 6:17Speaker 1: What that says a lot about California.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Doesn't it. California have some friends.
- 6:23Speaker 1: All you got is tunas. But you know what's funny,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that's the only sandwich with mayonnaise in it. Oh, oh,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the only one that's true. Elephants may have wanted to
- 6:35Speaker 1: keep that under wraps. And you didn't find New York.
- 6:38Speaker 2: No, I don't see New York on because.
- 6:40Speaker 1: We eat pizza. That's what we eat. Oh we eat pizza.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Well we're making a good choice.
- 6:45Speaker 1: The only way you can make a sandwich is to
- 6:47Speaker 1: fold the slice. Yes, you know how to do it right.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You make sure the grease doesn't fall in your lap.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And that's what you do.
- 6:54Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 6:57Speaker 3: expect next on Light at them.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Thank you so much for having as on this morning.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I hope your day's going well. It is Jack and
- 7:04Speaker 1: Christine one o six point seven light FM. You know
- 7:06Speaker 1: I always put this oude of my mind, but it
- 7:09Speaker 1: is getting close to back to school and college. A
- 7:12Speaker 1: lot of people are heading back to college already they are,
- 7:14Speaker 1: and we have an unexpected traveler, A cat who went
- 7:18Speaker 1: to college. A cat went to college.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I am very happy to report that this cat is okay,
- 7:24Speaker 2: but made an eight hundred mile journey from New Jersey
- 7:28Speaker 2: to Athens, Georgia, because a student, Jaden Sawyer, was heading
- 7:32Speaker 2: to University of Georgia and never realized that this cat
- 7:36Speaker 2: was underneath the car, like in the carriage of.
- 7:38Speaker 1: The car, even pit stop stuff.
- 7:40Speaker 2: For nothing, not until she got to the college and
- 7:43Speaker 2: then discovered like a little Paul reaching out from underneath. Wow,
- 7:47Speaker 2: when she had parked so eight hundred miles Campus police
- 7:51Speaker 2: animal rescuers they struggled to free the cat. They had
- 7:54Speaker 2: to call a local tire shop crew who came in
- 7:57Speaker 2: dismantled parts of the car. Thank you guys for doing that.
- 8:00Speaker 2: So the cat is now named Jersey and is doing
- 8:03Speaker 2: very well and should soon be available for adoption.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I think that cat gets an honorary doctorate.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Well, I think so too.
- 8:10Speaker 1: We walk down the aisle, Yeah that way. Yeah, my
- 8:13Speaker 1: daughter's finishing up college. I think she's going to be
- 8:15Speaker 1: done in a week or two. She's been taking courses
- 8:18Speaker 1: and that's incredible, congratulations, happy for her. And since she's
- 8:22Speaker 1: been doing it online, she wants to walk next spring
- 8:25Speaker 1: when that graduating classes she should. Yeah, we get the
- 8:29Speaker 1: cap and gown and nice. I think she wants us
- 8:31Speaker 1: to take out to dinner and oh.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Come on, do the whole thing.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Celebrate, celebrate more Covey and Christine and the great music
- 8:38Speaker 3: variety you expect next on Light at Them.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Christoff a q CEO killer Luigi Mangioni is expected to
- 8:45Speaker 2: plead guilty to federal charges in the New York City
- 8:48Speaker 2: courtroom today and this would be a plea deal, which
- 8:52Speaker 2: the lawyers haven't confirmed or denied, so we'll find out
- 8:55Speaker 2: later this morning. Vice President J. D. Van saying the
- 8:59Speaker 2: number one goal in the war with Iran is cheaper
- 9:02Speaker 2: gas for Americans. Number two to make sure Iran never
- 9:05Speaker 2: gets a nuclear weapon. And the World War II Memorial
- 9:08Speaker 2: is underguard after it was struck by vandals. The phrase
- 9:12Speaker 2: clean hands, Dirty money painted and red on the memorial.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Bubbles were also found in the fountain pool that leads
- 9:18Speaker 2: up to it. Here in New York, the New York
- 9:21Speaker 2: City Council approving a measure to make outdoor dining year round.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Just have to wait for Maramam Danny to approve what
- 9:28Speaker 2: she's expected to do. And President Trump will be visiting

- 9:46Speaker 2: he or she is not listening, They're spacing out. Do
- 9:50Speaker 2: you know what chances are you're probably right. A studies
- 9:54Speaker 2: found that only one in three doctors gives their patients
- 9:57Speaker 2: an adequate amount of time to describe their condition, and
- 10:01Speaker 2: patients only get an average of eleven seconds to speak
- 10:04Speaker 2: before being interrupted by their doctor.
- 10:07Speaker 1: My doctor asks questions. I like him, so really he
- 10:10Speaker 1: asks how you doing, how you feel? And how's everything working?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, how's everything working? That's important.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I guess it's okay. I haven't you know, some things
- 10:19Speaker 1: I haven't used since the last time I saw you,
- 10:21Speaker 1: So I'm not really sure. But he is. I think
- 10:25Speaker 1: he's thorough.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I like this guy. Stick with him.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You've got it. But you can't go first thing in
- 10:29Speaker 1: the morning because they're tired. Okay, you got to go
- 10:31Speaker 1: mid morning, go in the afternoon. They're done. Your patient

- 10:42Speaker 1: My wife works for a doctor who does not belong
- 10:45Speaker 1: to any organization, and he's like in there for hours
- 10:48Speaker 1: with talking, chatting about your kids, going yeah, so everybody

- 16:17Speaker 1: doing this, they told me, no accent. You have to
- 16:20Speaker 1: sound like you're from anywhere, right, like the great American accent.

- 16:36Speaker 2: we welcome them. And a little survey was done asking
- 16:40Speaker 2: what we as Americans consider the most attractive accent in
- 16:43Speaker 2: the country, and congrats to the Southerners they went out.
- 16:48Speaker 2: We consider that the most friendly, authentic, and welcoming accent
- 16:53Speaker 2: in the US.
- 16:54Speaker 1: It sounds melodic. I think living in down South for
- 16:58Speaker 1: a year or so, they do have some things they
- 17:00Speaker 1: do better. I mean they don't have accidents down there
- 17:03Speaker 1: on the road. The crashes crash.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Also different accident. Yes, okay, So Louisiana, by the way,
- 17:10Speaker 2: if you want to get specific about the southern accents
- 17:12Speaker 2: deep yeah, I love him here in New Orleans. Yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 2: so yeah, so Louisiana and Texas. And I know Texas
- 17:21Speaker 2: is a big state, but that they just broke it
- 17:23Speaker 2: down to Texas as second place because even then it's yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 2: of course, yeah, depending on the region, it's completely different.
- 17:30Speaker 2: But followed very closely in second is Boston, New England.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And you don't go in to Salem this weekend.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm not sure if I agree with that.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Well, same here. I don't want to insault anybody because
- 17:42Speaker 2: I'm going to stay there. I don't want to get
- 17:44Speaker 2: kicked out of the end.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You know what, any region that calls sprinkles Jimmy's, you
- 17:49Speaker 1: can poke fun at them. Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I guess not when I'm there though, right Jack.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Just remember, if you want sprinkles, ask for Jimmy's. Jimmy.
- 17:58Speaker 2: They're going to look at me like what are you saying?
- 18:00Speaker 2: And so apparently we like that, followed by the Midwestern accent.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I like Midwestern. You do like the Philadelphia, but when
- 18:07Speaker 1: they say coke, I want to go home?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Interesting, and then finally New York City, we're coming in.
- 18:15Speaker 2: We're pulling up the rear.
- 18:16Speaker 1: There's tough. I mean, New York's accent is a little tough.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Maybe two people outside of here. But the one thing.
- 18:24Speaker 1: That we're all a little pussy cats.
- 18:26Speaker 2: The people that research this are saying is that a
- 18:29Speaker 2: lot of us are losing the regional dialects and accents
- 18:32Speaker 2: are kind of going away. So when you hear them,
- 18:35Speaker 2: celebrate them all right now, I used.
- 18:37Speaker 1: To kind of when I went south, I started picking
- 18:39Speaker 1: up that accent a little bit.
- 18:40Speaker 2: It's easy to slide into that because of that sing
- 18:43Speaker 2: song and it's pretty.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It does sound pretty a little bit. Yeah, not like French,
- 18:47Speaker 1: but it's close.
- 18:48Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Next on light f Them six.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Point seven light FM. Good morning, it is Jack and Christine.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Thanks for having a son. End it's coming. It's going
- 19:01Speaker 1: to be here pretty soon, and we've got some things
- 19:03Speaker 1: going on. Taylor. We have some more information on her finally,
- 19:06Speaker 1: now that husband has broken the ice.
- 19:09Speaker 2: No, it's just rumors, Jack, it's but we'll take it.
- 19:12Speaker 1: We'll take the rulers. Absolutely, let's go with it.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So Swifties are convinced that Taylor is on the verge
- 19:17Speaker 2: of an album release announcement. And here is the evidence.
- 19:22Speaker 2: She was photographed leaving a private club called Annabelle's yesterday
- 19:27Speaker 2: August thirteenth. Yes, I've got the right date. Two years ago,
- 19:30Speaker 2: on August twelfth, Taylor was photographed leaving Annabell's and it
- 19:34Speaker 2: was just as she was making the announcement of the
- 19:37Speaker 2: Life of a Showgirl. So we're thinking this was very deliberate.
- 19:41Speaker 2: She did it on purpose, left time to do this album.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I mean, she's been on.
- 19:46Speaker 2: A honeymoon, right, But she's been on a honeymoon. But yeah, yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 2: and then she's being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall
- 19:51Speaker 2: of Fame. That's right, youngest person to get that. Also,
- 19:55Speaker 2: we may not be getting a Barbie two, even though
- 19:58Speaker 2: a lot of people want it a sequel to Barbie,
- 20:01Speaker 2: because Warner Brothers is in negotiations with Margo Robbie, Ryan
- 20:06Speaker 2: Gosling Greta Gerwig, who is the writer and director. Margo
- 20:09Speaker 2: Robbie herself is looking for word. Has it like fifteen million, No,
- 20:13Speaker 2: twenty million, twenty million for Ryan Gosling. Margo Robbie fifty million,
- 20:19Speaker 2: so it equals what she made in salary and revenue
- 20:23Speaker 2: from the twenty twenty three Barbie Warner Brothers is saying, Okay,
- 20:26Speaker 2: that's a little high, that's a little steep. If they
- 20:29Speaker 2: said they went to her like several times and with offerings,
- 20:32Speaker 2: and she refused. If they don't work this out by December,
- 20:35Speaker 2: movie rights will revert back to Mattel and then you
- 20:38Speaker 2: might not get the movie at all. So they need
- 20:41Speaker 2: to work that out. And finally, Matthew McConaughey says, How
- 20:45Speaker 2: to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, the movie that
- 20:47Speaker 2: came out in two thousand and three, he said, is
- 20:50Speaker 2: the gift that keeps on giving. He said, people love
- 20:53Speaker 2: this movie. They keep watching it. It's a rom com.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And he says it's still the best mailbox money of
- 20:58Speaker 2: any film he's ever made. So I guess he keeps
- 21:01Speaker 2: he walks to the happy keeps coming in because yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 2: we like to watch that one.
- 21:06Speaker 1: All right. Well, we've got the weekend to look forward to.
- 21:09Speaker 1: We have three hours commercial free. And before we do that, though,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I just noticed we have some tickets to give away too, Wanted,
- 21:17Speaker 1: a soulful and dangerous new musical starring the Transcendent Transcendent
- 21:21Speaker 1: Grammy Award winning icon lads LADESSI and let Us See Wow,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and one hundred dollars gift card too. I got this,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I have this, Christine, No help here, John's Pizzeria of
- 21:36Speaker 1: Times Square. Yes, coming up with this full? All right,

- 21:44Speaker 2: com or you can call us at eight hundred two
