- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the three O take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes it.
- 0:11All starts. Right now.
- 0:16Welcome back to the Three O Take presented by SeatGeek.
- 0:18This is episode 459. I'll be your host, Kyle Corden,
- 0:22and I'm here with my Co host Nate Reyes.
- 0:28Nate, let's go. Let's go.
- 0:33Don't, don't talk to me about this.
- 0:35About this. August dog days.
- 0:38We're here. We're partying.
- 0:41We're fired up. We got some questions today.
- 0:44We've got some confusion today. We've got some excitement today.
- 0:48We got some bragging today. We've got some things today.
- 0:56You're welcome. Great job on that intro by the
- 0:59way. That.
- 0:59Was thank you. Thank you.
- 1:00Looks good. Looks good.
- 1:02We've had some adventures my. We have, we have.
- 1:04I had, I had fun making that. I was like, man, we've, we've
- 1:07been, we've been around the block.
- 1:09I'm excited for some more. We got some more cooked up.
- 1:11Even dropped a little little 2021 wild card trip, a little
- 1:172019 Denver trip in there. Yeah, get a little bit of.
- 1:21This is a this is your, this is your alert.
- 1:25This is your news. This is your.
- 1:29We're not, we're not really a warning.
- 1:30This is a positive thing. Get your notice turned on.
- 1:33That way you can watch the intro video.
- 1:37We give you just a nice little quick 90 seconds to settle in,
- 1:43get your popcorn turned on, tell the wife to be quiet, get the
- 1:46Airpods hooked up, whatever you need to do so you can come hang
- 1:50out. Let's talk some baseball before
- 1:57we do that. Well, I mean, it's baseball
- 1:58related, but can we just real quick talk about this Machine
- 2:03Gun Kelly first pitch Because I, I don't know why you and I are
- 2:08at such odds here with this with this first pitch.
- 2:11I'm very confused as I'm confused as to why it bothers
- 2:14you so much. I hate this guy.
- 2:17Why are you defending him? I'm not defending him, but I
- 2:20just saw I was watching. OK, well, back up.
- 2:23I saw his interview that he did on MLB Network.
- 2:26And he had it on mute. I had it on mute.
- 2:28I didn't hear anything. What did I miss there?
- 2:31He's basically just talking about, I mean, it was machine
- 2:33if, if you have no idea what we're talking about, it was
- 2:35Machine Gun Kelly Day at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
- 2:40What yesterday? Fill me in on as to why it's a
- 2:43whole day. Why does he have a whole day?
- 2:44That he's a big Cleveland guy. I couldn't tell you why the the
- 2:47Guardians decided like, hey, let's make this a thing.
- 2:50Couldn't tell you. Cleveland Pride.
- 2:52It confuses me as well. No offense.
- 2:54I'm just a little. Lost.
- 2:55No, I respect it. I respect it.
- 2:57I'm like, you know what? You I mean Rep your city, but
- 2:59like that's a pretty why are we just now I'm hearing about it.
- 3:02That's a gritty city. Anyway, they interviewed him on
- 3:06the on MLB Network and he told me how how much he loves
- 3:10Cleveland. And he was he was promoting his
- 3:13coffee and he was like, yeah, I can't really say on on national
- 3:16TV, but I replaced a previous high with the new caffeine high
- 3:22and got a good laugh. And I looked it up.
- 3:25He's like a year sober. He seems like he's trying to
- 3:27turn his life around. He's showing up in Progressive
- 3:29Field putting on for the for the people, goes out for the first
- 3:32pitch. Well, back up.
- 3:35No, on the interview. They're like, so, So what, what
- 3:39are you thinking for this first pitch?
- 3:40And he was like, wow, I was thinking about like a 92 mile an
- 3:44hour curveball. And they got a good, they had a
- 3:46good laugh out of that. But then he was like, actually,
- 3:48I think since then I've changed my mind.
- 3:50I've got something, a little something special rolled up my
- 3:52sleeve and I'm like every, everybody's kind of wondering
- 3:55like, what could you possibly do?
- 3:57And he goes out there and what is it?
- 4:00Is it, are they brats? Are they hot dogs?
- 4:04The the mascots in Cleveland there's like 4.
- 4:07Nightmare. Nightmare fuel is.
- 4:08What nightmare fuel? Yeah, we'll just go with that.
- 4:12They're standing behind on a plate and I'm like, this is this
- 4:16is rigged. He's going to he's going to take
- 4:18one of them out and that's going to be that.
- 4:20But instead pulls out a pen, signs the ball and he eats it
- 4:25into the crowd. I go, yeah, you know what?
- 4:26That's funny. And they're talking about it on
- 4:28the broadcast going, oh, look, Machine Gun Kelly giving back to
- 4:31the crowd, launching the first pitch into the stands.
- 4:33And I thought, yeah, you know, that's different, that that's
- 4:36unique. I like that.
- 4:36And then Nate comes out of the from the clouds.
- 4:39Did anybody see that MGK first pitch guy sucks?
- 4:46I'm like I don't know. I'm so confused as to why we're
- 4:49hating on a guy for his first pitch.
- 4:52Well #1 the guys that try hard and can't just settle in on
- 4:57being his own person, his own self.
- 5:00The guy just bounces around all over the place.
- 5:02He tries hard everywhere he goes.
- 5:05And that was just weird. Like, what was the point?
- 5:08What was the point? What was the point of the first
- 5:10pitch? What was the point?
- 5:11Like this is the point you and I discussing it being on Twitter.
- 5:16The guy just wants to be like center of attention.
- 5:19I can't stand it. He's got like pair of jeans on
- 5:22there like 17 sizes too big. I, I, I don't, I, it freaks me
- 5:28out. The guy's weird and like I, I, I
- 5:31think he drinks blood. I don't know who or what I'm
- 5:35seeing but I'm not a fan. I can't speak for whether or not
- 5:38he he does that, but it it was just, I'm just looking at the
- 5:41first pitch. I thought it was creative and it
- 5:43was unique and stupid. A fan got a ball because of it,
- 5:48so. I'd like to know.
- 5:50I'd like to see what fan where. I'd like to see the arm
- 5:53strength. I'd like to see a zoomed out
- 5:55view. It may change my it may change
- 5:59my take on this. I mean, if he's got an arm, it
- 6:02doesn't it didn't look like it. It didn't look like he had an
- 6:04arm and he had to get like a running start, which was weird.
- 6:10I well. If you're, if you're, I think it
- 6:11went into the stands, yeah, I wouldn't take a running.
- 6:14I would take a running start too.
- 6:15It would have been funnier if you're just on the mount and you
- 6:18launch it over the backstop. That, to me would have been
- 6:21funnier. I don't, I don't get.
- 6:25That, But either way, he's not funny, he's weird and I don't
- 6:28like it so. It's it's been established, Nate
- 6:31not a fan of Machine Gun Kelly. Look, on Twitter, I'm I'm in the
- 6:35majority here. You are in the minority.
- 6:38Look. I disagree if if you're in the
- 6:41chat. If you're watching on the live
- 6:42stream, drop A1 if you liked Machine Gun Kelly if you didn't
- 6:47see it. Basically what he did is he
- 6:49heated the ball into the stands instead of throwing the first
- 6:51pitch or drop a drop A2 straight corn or drop A2 if you hated it
- 6:56one, if you like the idea two, if you hate it.
- 6:59I I personally have the belief that it was it was a unique
- 7:04idea. That's cringe.
- 7:05That's all I'm going to say. Clear cringe idea clearly.
- 7:10Do you have something against machine gun killer?
- 7:12Anyway, we're going to talk about team bets.
- 7:17For the record, I am too all. Right, cool.
- 7:20All right. Some comments rolling in.
- 7:22Clearly I am in the minority here.
- 7:24That's fine. Not even not even going to
- 7:26continue this any longer. Starting off hot.
- 7:29Let's suck some Mookie Betts, shall we?
- 7:32Mookie Betts is back, and he was back like he never left.
- 7:37Making his return in Milwaukee and right out of the gate, 2 for
- 7:44four, hit a bomb, 3 ribbies, a stolen bag.
- 7:48His next game back 2 for five. Talk to me about what kind of
- 7:53boost. I mean it, it kind of goes
- 7:55without saying it no, it does go without saying.
- 7:58Having Mookie Betts back in your lineup is is big.
- 8:02But specifically, talk to me about the boost that Mookie
- 8:05Betts provides you back in his comfort zone, being in right
- 8:10field and, and having the ease of mind of, of sliding into that
- 8:162 hole and, and maybe taking a little bit of the pressure off
- 8:20of him of being that table setter that he's, he's very good
- 8:23at being. But at least as he's coming back
- 8:25from injury, doesn't have that, that table setting pressure.
- 8:28I have nothing but questions. One, I may live under a rock
- 8:33here, but did he make any rehab starts?
- 8:37I don't believe so. Then he got how many knocks in
- 8:40his first two games back. He went two for four with a
- 8:44stolen bag. He had three ribbies in a home
- 8:46run and then second game, so he went for between his first two
- 8:50games went four. For 9 and was out for how long?
- 8:55Almost two months. Alien First off, if that is
- 9:01true, because I I didn't see anything rehab like you always
- 9:03get like a little clip of like here's so and so at their rehab
- 9:07start. I didn't see anything.
- 9:08So I don't think he did. That's absurd.
- 9:13Secondly, we talked about this last week.
- 9:15I'm in the camp that we need to spread out those one through
- 9:18three guys. The lineup just needs like a
- 9:21little bit more support. But you do you, Dave Roberts.
- 9:26Or excuse me, you do you, Dodgers front office Dave
- 9:31Roberts just says yes. When he was a Red Sox, was it
- 9:36primarily 22 hole? He was leading off.
- 9:41Primarily lead off. He was leading off, which is
- 9:44what I touched on last episode and I kind of threw some some
- 9:49unnecessary shade at at Dave Roberts talking about like, what
- 9:54is this going to look like when he's back?
- 9:55And this was this was before we knew, I think that he was going
- 9:58to slide into the two hole. It's like or no, this was this
- 10:01was after we found out. Because I'm like, This is why
- 10:05Dodger fans get upset with Dave Roberts, because you look at the
- 10:09decision that he makes to say that he's going to be your
- 10:12permanent shortstop and then he gets hurt and it's like, just
- 10:14kidding. We're putting him back in,
- 10:15right? And then not only we're going to
- 10:18do that, we're going to take him out of the the spot that he
- 10:20produces most, being the lead off spot and we're going to
- 10:23slide him into the two hole. It's like decisions like that, I
- 10:26feel like they're given to you on a or choices rather they're
- 10:29given to you on a silver platter.
- 10:30And then Dave Roberts more times than not opts for the one that
- 10:33makes less sense. So this was one of those things
- 10:36where I'm like, I don't know if I agree with this, but then
- 10:39Mookie Betts just goes out and produces either way because
- 10:41that's what he does. I was just curious as to why not
- 10:45leave him in the spot that he produces.
- 10:47More yeah, I don't know I'm. And it's like show hey is going
- 10:53to show hey wherever he's at. You have their first three guys,
- 10:57will Will, Shohei, Mookie and Freddie.
- 11:00Wherever Shohei, Mookie and Freddie are they'll do whatever
- 11:03they need to do wherever they are so it's like this is a
- 11:06ridiculous conversation in the 1st place, but secondly I like I
- 11:11don't know I. You got a lot of stolen bases
- 11:14out of shohei. It's like this is insane.
- 11:21I don't know. It's unfair.
- 11:22Like I, I love that he's back in right field.
- 11:25I'm very much in the camp. I I like that he's a right
- 11:28fielder. I think it's a little confused
- 11:34by the Ahmed Rosario DFA. We got to talk about that, too.
- 11:39That that I don't know what's going on there.
- 11:43I don't know how, like if you make that deal to fill in a hole
- 11:47before the deadline that I feel bad for the guy First off.
- 11:52Secondly, I can't wait until he is going to be added to a
- 11:56postseason roster somewhere and going to be a huge, huge
- 12:01postseason producer because that's how it goes.
- 12:04Well, that was the other thing too.
- 12:06If you get, if you get acquired, because I've, I've run into this
- 12:09before that it happened with Jose Iglesias in Boston back I
- 12:14guess it was 2021 where he wasn't able to participate on
- 12:18the post or be a member of the postseason roster because of
- 12:22the, the period in time at which he was acquired.
- 12:26And I don't know if that's based on we also, that was also a
- 12:30point in time when we had that whole like waiver deadline.
- 12:32And I honestly can't remember how that acquisition came about.
- 12:36I don't know. Is it?
- 12:39What's the threshold? What's the threshold to be on
- 12:44the postseason roster? I honestly couldn't tell you.
- 12:47So that's why I'm curious about. I mean, he's going to end up
- 12:49somewhere. It's just a matter of I don't
- 12:50know what that looks like postseason.
- 12:52If that is the let's, let's just let's just pull it that thread.
- 12:55If that is the case, this might be the smartest decision I've
- 12:58ever seen. Imagine trading for a guy that
- 13:02was was probably highly valued amongst other teams.
- 13:07You trade for them, you keep them, and then you DFA him and
- 13:11he's not even eligible to participate in the post season
- 13:14for those other said teams. That might be one of the most
- 13:17genius things ever. If that's if that was on
- 13:20purpose, that's crazy cool. I don't know though.
- 13:24AJ has better yet why didn't Lux get traded since he's blocking
- 13:27other talent and he can't play shorts up.
- 13:28Honestly I don't know why the Lux?
- 13:30Why the Lux experiment? I would have continued him.
- 13:33I would have DFA him. I mean, he's still, I I guess
- 13:37he's still got trade value and he maybe just want to wait off,
- 13:40wait till the offseason for that.
- 13:41But like, I don't know, back to Mookie getting an MVP, yet
- 13:48another MVP. You have 3 MVPS in your first
- 13:51three hitters in the lineup. But getting him back, it's
- 13:54better than anything you could have done at the deadline.
- 13:56Getting him back in right field where he can be comfortable
- 13:59makes a ton of sense. I, I think he's so productive as
- 14:05a, as a lead off guy. But like you can argue that this
- 14:07is such an easier path to get back in when you know one of the
- 14:13best hitters on the planet is sitting in front of you and
- 14:16you're getting to see a lot. And most pitchers are going to
- 14:21be pretty exhausted by your second or third at bat.
- 14:25So we'll see, man. But it's just like the I don't
- 14:29think it really matters. I feel like everything's going
- 14:32to work. Whatever they do is going to
- 14:34work at the top. But that's what I'm saying is
- 14:37that I think the rest of the lineup needs a little love.
- 14:40Dude needs a little help. Like spread that out a little
- 14:43bit, get someone sandwiched in between Mookie and and Freddie
- 14:50and get some protection for that guy.
- 14:51I said Will Smith. I think that would help Will
- 14:54Smith a lot. If you have someone like a
- 14:56Freddie hitting behind you and we're so in love with this
- 15:00right, left balance, it drives me absolutely bonkers.
- 15:04Drives me insane. Like there's rules behind the
- 15:08bullpen appearances. There's rules behind like number
- 15:11of guys that these guys have to face.
- 15:13Like if you get got on one guy, it's OK because the other guy's
- 15:19going to be fine. And all of these guys have
- 15:21perfect splits on each side. So I just don't understand why
- 15:24it matters as much as they say it does.
- 15:26But. Welcome back Mookie.
- 15:30Welcome back, Mookie. Breaking news.
- 15:38If you're familiar with this particular program, it's not
- 15:44really breaking news, but I had to sound the alarm because we
- 15:46got to dial it in here. The Co sister-in-law has texted
- 15:49me with the weekly trivia MLB trivia question.
- 15:56If Chad wants to get involved, get involved.
- 15:58If Chad wants to get involved, let's get involved.
- 16:00I'm I'm on standby here waiting for the question.
- 16:03Good. If you're new to this, my Co
- 16:06sister-in-law, you're going. What the heck is a Co
- 16:08sister-in-law? I've explained this before, but
- 16:09basically it's the spouse of a sibling of my spouse.
- 16:18So it's my wife's brother's. Wife.
- 16:22And we looked it up one time and it's a it's called a Co
- 16:25sister-in-law. It's crazy.
- 16:26I That doesn't even sound like an actual.
- 16:29Like seems like a lot of work. Familial structure or or
- 16:34relationship, but apparently it's a thing.
- 16:37So the the question is coming. We can keep going on.
- 16:40I don't know how how it may take a minute for her to come through
- 16:43but. Just we sounded the alarm, but
- 16:45that's OK. Wanted to let you know it's on.
- 16:47Well, she had she hit me up and said the MLB questions coming up
- 16:50and usually it's within a minute and we're we're still still on
- 16:55standby. I think she's she has stumped to
- 16:57me because it doesn't always come while we're recording.
- 17:01So sometimes I'm I'm on my own to figure it out.
- 17:04I think she's maybe stumped me like twice and.
- 17:09Flexing a little bit. I mean, you can tell, you can
- 17:13tell sometimes the whoever's running these trivia, you can
- 17:16tell that they're they're catering to maybe a, a non
- 17:19baseball crowd at times. But then there are somewhere I'm
- 17:21like, I don't know how they would expect anybody to know
- 17:24that because we've been doing this podcast for I mean, we've
- 17:26been baseball fans our entire lives.
- 17:29We've been doing this podcast for some time and we don't even
- 17:31know the answers to these things and they're expecting these.
- 17:37Yeah, like. Sciency tech people to know I
- 17:40don't that's that's wild to me. Sciency tech people.
- 17:44Anyway, you know who's not sciency or tech people, at least
- 17:47I'm guessing is Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.
- 17:50They're just born to be baseball players and they, I'll tell you
- 17:55what, they are doing it and they're doing it well as of
- 17:57late. Honestly, I, I I didn't have a
- 18:00particular reason for including them in in the rundown for this
- 18:03episode, but it I, I often times include topics that I encounter
- 18:10on social media, like in a given week, like a lot.
- 18:14And for some reason Aaron judging wants.
- 18:16I mean, for obvious reasons, I I just took a glance at the recent
- 18:20numbers, so it makes sense why I'm seeing their name and pop
- 18:24their names pop up a lot. But my goodness, can you just
- 18:28can you shed a little light on what's been happening?
- 18:30I mean, I'm pretty sure I just checked Twitter and Soda went
- 18:32deep yet again. Yeah, I think the fourth time in
- 18:35his last two games. Yeah.
- 18:37What is happening right now? I mean, aside from the fact that
- 18:41the the Yankees got waxed by the White Sox.
- 18:45I mean what are we doing bro aside from the worst team in
- 18:50decades and you just get giving up a 12 spot?
- 18:53I think was that the was that a was that a season high and hits
- 18:57for the White Sox? I think I saw or.
- 18:59Freaking team, let me tell. Ya, aside from that, what's
- 19:06going on with with these two? I mean, they're taking the
- 19:09league over by storm right now. Stupid bro, it's stupid.
- 19:13The OPS numbers they put up the I mean the they're both walking
- 19:18at like a very similar rate right now.
- 19:21I they were talking on MLB Central this morning and they
- 19:26were talking about because after the game they were like
- 19:30complementing each other like in two separate intervals.
- 19:34That was so weird. Cut stop.
- 19:37That was so corny, so gimmicky. If you're going to get on
- 19:41Machine Gun Kelly, which I I I'm really not trying to sound like
- 19:44I'm a defender of machine gun. No, no, you called him a
- 19:48cornball for just, you know, doing something nicer fan.
- 19:51You want to talk about corny? And look, you got to stop being
- 19:54so surprised that I'm like, I have this this bias against
- 19:59Aaron Judge and and Juan Soto. It I don't channel that enough
- 20:02to be honest with you or just Yankees in general.
- 20:04I don't channel that enough. So don't act surprised.
- 20:07I think it's corny, but it's corny.
- 20:09OK? They're sitting there.
- 20:10Hey, man, hey, hey brother, who do you think is the better?
- 20:14Who do you think is the best hitter in the league right now?
- 20:16And they're just over there like making out with each other.
- 20:19And somebody, I, I saw one thread and somebody was like,
- 20:23after they read the, the replies that they shared about one
- 20:26another, they're just like, so are they going to kiss now?
- 20:29Or it was just, it was goofy more so on, more so on the part
- 20:37of one particular guy, because I think it's it's kind of obvious
- 20:41who the better of the two is in that regard.
- 20:43But it was just goofy. We got the trivia question.
- 20:46All right, whatever. In 2004, what relief pitcher was
- 20:49the only player league wide still wearing the number 42 or
- 20:53retired in 1997? That's that's your guy.
- 20:56He's right there. Oh, our our logo's blocking it.
- 20:59Missed the mole. Do you have to say Mariano
- 21:03Rivera or can you say MO? Are you typing it out?
- 21:09I have to say. Do you know if it's a is is it a
- 21:12like a multiple choice thing that they're doing or?
- 21:15I think it's just standard trivia.
- 21:16You just have to you have to bring the answer to the table
- 21:22without any assistance I believe.
- 21:25Without any assistance. Let's see here. back-to-back to
- 21:32Judge and Soto, though. Yeah, OK, so their comments, I
- 21:34got him pulled up. So just in case you haven't
- 21:38heard about it, they're asking Judge and Soto like, hey, who's
- 21:41the best hitter in the league? Aaron Judge on Juan Soto.
- 21:45He's the greatest hitter in the game.
- 21:47If you leave him a pitch in the zone, he'll do damage.
- 21:49Juan Soto on Aaron Judge, I call him the greatest hitter in the
- 21:52world. Look at his numbers.
- 21:54He's just unbelievable. He makes my job easier.
- 21:58Shut up, dude. Tell me, where's the lie?
- 22:03Where's the Where are they? Wrong.
- 22:04Somebody has to be lying. You can't have two of the best.
- 22:07And I I think with the way that the last few seasons have gone,
- 22:10we know the answer and you just have judge over there being the
- 22:14the lowly humble peasant trying to play it off and and shine the
- 22:20light on Soto. That's a good, that's a good
- 22:22leader right there. That's what that is, I would
- 22:25say. Goofy.
- 22:28I I was thinking about this, I was thinking about this today.
- 22:39I know Judge is putting up the numbers he's putting up, but I
- 22:47think Juan Soto's the better hitter.
- 22:51I think he, I think Judge is so good as a hitter that his misses
- 23:00a so strong and big that like his misses end up being
- 23:04productive. I think Juan Soto is a better
- 23:09hitter. I think he controls the zone
- 23:11better. I think he has a better eye.
- 23:14I think he he does we you and I talked about like how Manny
- 23:19Ramirez used to like bait pitchers.
- 23:24Juan Soto baits pitchers and you can tell that like in what I
- 23:30mean by that is like Manny Ramirez would if if there was a
- 23:35scenario, say it's in the first inning, no one's on and there's,
- 23:39you know, a slider down. In a way, Manny Ramirez would
- 23:43almost look silly on purpose because he felt like I wanted, I
- 23:48want to document that and I'm going to want you to throw that
- 23:51pitch again later in an at bat. That means more and I'm going to
- 23:56make you pay for it. That's what I mean by baiting.
- 24:00He would he would trick pitchers into doing that kind of stuff.
- 24:04Juan Soto does the same thing. Judge is just really good.
- 24:09But like, if we're looking at like, you know, comparing, it's
- 24:12like, you know, one guy's 3233, the other guy's 26, you know,
- 24:17and like Juan Soto is going to continue to to grow and get
- 24:20better. And they're both insane.
- 24:24But I think like, yeah, right now it's kind of it's kind of a
- 24:28toss up, dude. They're both in there.
- 24:31It's crazy to watch. It really is.
- 24:33If there was any anything else happening in this lineup, I
- 24:36would have no doubts. But these two are just like with
- 24:42what they're able to do. I mean, every day, every list
- 24:46that they're on, it's like it's it's Babe and Garrick.
- 24:50I'm glad you mentioned that. I've got some Nuggets here for
- 24:53us right off the top. Your current entering Wednesday.
- 24:58Your current Major League OPS leaders at the top #1 Aaron
- 25:03Judge sporting a clip of 1165. Juan Soto is sporting a clip of
- 25:091042 at #2 Justin Havens on Twitter shared a tweet and it
- 25:17says Aaron Judge has an OPS of 221 and Juan Soto has an OPS
- 25:21plus of 189. In the modern era or since 1900,
- 25:25there has only been one pair of teammates where both had an OPS
- 25:29plus of at least 189 with a minimum of 500 plate appearances
- 25:32in the same season. And two names you mentioned,
- 25:35Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Some more Nuggets here for you
- 25:40for those that are interested at Big Baby, David under score on
- 25:43Twitter said by OPS. Plus Juan Soto is having the 5th
- 25:47best Yankees offensive season since 1958 and the third best
- 25:51Yankees offensive season since 1963.
- 25:54But Aaron Judge is having the Yankees best offensive season
- 25:57right now and had the second best in 2022, so we barely talk.
- 26:01About it, it's crazy. Oh, I'm not done at Yankees,
- 26:06Muse says. Qualified outfielders with a
- 26:09fill in the blank this season. Qualified outfielders with a 400
- 26:14on base percentage, Aaron Judge Juan Soto.
- 26:18Qualified outfielders with A600 slugging percentage.
- 26:22Aaron Judge Juan Soto. Qualified outfielders with 1000
- 26:25OPS plus Aaron Judge Juan Soto outfielders.
- 26:30Qualified outfielders with 185 weighted runs created, plus
- 26:35Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and lastly qualified Outfitters with
- 26:39A7F4. You guessed it, Aaron Judge and
- 26:44Juan Soto. It's just insane.
- 26:48It's it's genuinely like I'm I'm trying.
- 26:51I'm taking my Yankee fandom off. If if you enjoy baseball at all,
- 26:55like just any chance you get to I don't know.
- 26:59I don't know if he's going to resign.
- 27:01I don't know if he's going to continue to be Yankee like I I
- 27:04would recommend locking in on these at bats.
- 27:08I would recommend watching just a few at bats of a Yankees game
- 27:13and see what these guys do. And I mean, it's it's a
- 27:18complement each other, right? Like, and that's what Wanso just
- 27:21talking about in his quote. It's like having that kind of
- 27:24literally having one of the best seasons of all time behind me
- 27:29opens up a lot for me to be able to do and vice versa.
- 27:34Aaron Judge is getting to, you know, hit against somebody who's
- 27:39probably exhausted of having to be so pinpoint against a Juan
- 27:44Soto. It's crazy.
- 27:47And it's crazy cool watching how often Juan Soto is right when an
- 27:52umpire makes a bad call. It's it's pretty fun to be able
- 27:55to see that. Like he's like, yeah, no, you
- 27:58were wrong on that one. And he's more right than not.
- 28:01So. He's got eyes of a hawk.
- 28:03It's crazy. It's incredible.
- 28:05It's crazy. And this is the least and he has
- 28:09some of the best numbers in baseball.
- 28:11It's, it doesn't make sense. I it doesn't compute.
- 28:14And this is just further evidence, not that you and I
- 28:17need to convince ourselves of this, but I feel like there's
- 28:19still people out there that think just because you have an
- 28:25MVP winner or multiple MVP caliber players on your team,
- 28:31that that somehow equates to like team success.
- 28:33I got, I was getting into it a little bit.
- 28:36I think today, earlier today talking about how, oh, I, I, I
- 28:40put a post out from Brooksgate, if you follow that account,
- 28:44talking about the four best athletes of like the four major
- 28:50sports of each decade going back to I think like the 50s or
- 28:53something. And there was people in the
- 28:55comments talking about how Judge or excuse me, Trout and Otani
- 29:02couldn't be on that list because they, they quote, played
- 29:06together on the same team and couldn't win anything.
- 29:09And I in this day and age, knowing what we know about the
- 29:13game, knowing what we know about the numbers, the advanced
- 29:15analytics, what goes into actually compiling and a a
- 29:20championship winning team, it still blows my mind that people
- 29:24think that just because the Yankees and I got to take my my
- 29:27Yankees hate hat off here. It blows my mind that people
- 29:31think that just because the Yankees have Aaron Judge and
- 29:33Juan Soto means that that's a cakewalk to the World Series.
- 29:36It that's not how it works. Like what they're doing is
- 29:40incredible. But if you don't have anything
- 29:42else to support that, then that that's all you need.
- 29:46Like that's all you have. Right.
- 29:49Is, is the production that you're really getting out of
- 29:51those two. And yeah, you, you sprinkle
- 29:53some, some output elsewhere on both sides of the ball, but
- 29:56you're it's not going to be enough even with as well as
- 29:59they're hitting at the moment and have been for the majority,
- 30:02if not all of the all of the season.
- 30:04Yeah. Then that like the massive
- 30:06uptick in in, you know, Aaron Judge intentional walks, is it
- 30:11that kind of is a perfect sign for it, right?
- 30:14Like it's been a while since we've seen this.
- 30:17I don't I don't remember this much intentional walking going
- 30:21on since Bonds. I'd be fair.
- 30:24That was like a whole different level.
- 30:28And you're seeing certain teams that have different strategies.
- 30:30Like they talked about it on the broadcast with like I'll score
- 30:32in the in the Red Sox. Like they were just like, let's
- 30:35throw to him and look what you did to that in that series in
- 30:39Fenway. And then you have the series
- 30:41before. I don't even remember who they
- 30:42were facing, but it was like, we're not letting we're not
- 30:44giving them anything. So if that if that changes, it
- 30:50only changes because of the production behind them.
- 30:55But I mean, yeah, we could do this across history, across
- 30:57sports. I mean, we could.
- 30:59You can go back to James Harden and Kevin Durant and Russell
- 31:02Westbrook all being in OK C and not doing anything.
- 31:05You can go to Ken Griffey, Junior A Rod big unit, Edgar
- 31:10Martinez, you know, doing their thing in in the late 90s, early
- 31:142000s with the Mariners and not getting over the hump.
- 31:17Like there's you could do this forever.
- 31:21And that's just it's a perfect representation of lack of
- 31:27knowledge for fandom. When you don't understand that,
- 31:33like how much is needed to win a ring to win or to win a trophy
- 31:38across all sports. It takes more than what meets
- 31:41the eye. It takes more than just playing
- 31:43on paper and my heart's going to be broken here in a couple
- 31:48months and it's just the way it is.
- 31:52Well, Speaking of production elsewhere in the lineup, Jet,
- 31:56just real quick here, Jazz Chisholm, I think we said was
- 31:59officially to the IL as of today with the UCL injury after a
- 32:05little bit of a scary slide into home the other night.
- 32:11Beat the slide. He was safe.
- 32:12He what? And he, he walked off under his
- 32:15own power. Like, didn't he?
- 32:16He didn't hang around very long at all.
- 32:17I mean, maybe showed like a little bit of a.
- 32:21He was doing this like this like movement in the dugout where he
- 32:25was like trying to move it. It's his glove on, but he was
- 32:28like trying to move it. The Yankee Twitter is is very
- 32:35correct on like the amount of weird things going on with the
- 32:41headline that the leading deadline moves the last like
- 32:46stretch of years. It's been very, very.
- 32:49I saw that. Like Frankie Montas being in
- 32:53that mix, Andrew Benintendi being in that mix, Harrison
- 32:57Bader missing a lot of time, like Scott F Ross.
- 33:02I mean, just like every, everybody, they've moved.
- 33:07At Yankee World Addison Good good Follow on Twitter the
- 33:10health of some recent Yankee tread that trade deadline
- 33:13pieces. Frankie Montas heard all of
- 33:142023. Andrew Benintendi hurt for
- 33:16September in the playoffs. F Ross hasn't pitched since
- 33:192022. Trevino hasn't pitched since
- 33:212022. Bader played 100 of 190 games.
- 33:25Jazz Chisholm UCL Injury How does this keep happening?
- 33:28There's also a lot of Yankee Twitter claiming that 13 is
- 33:31cursed and well, that's that's that's because they need to
- 33:35retire hey, Rod's number, which is insane, but.
- 33:39Well, that's not why I think it's cursed.
- 33:41I think it's just cursed. That's a bad number.
- 33:43Just a bad number. Well, specifically in New York
- 33:47too, just because of a a certain figure that that donned it there
- 33:50and had some rather questionable actions in his time there.
- 33:54But that's beside the point. But they're Yankees are hopeful
- 33:57he'll return in three to four weeks.
- 33:59I'm guessing that basically means he's out for the season
- 34:01because Yankees front office loves to lie about injuries.
- 34:05So sure does. Glove arm you just that makes
- 34:09you hope. But who knows?
- 34:12He is like just stupid athletic. So like he could he could be a
- 34:17weird exception. I'm used to non athleticism
- 34:20getting hurt on this roster and they're taking a million years
- 34:24to come back. So maybe this is the opposite.
- 34:26I don't know. Speaking of opposite, Blake
- 34:29Snell, as we've alluded to on previous episodes, has is having
- 34:33quite the opposite to his first half and it seems to be the
- 34:36trend over the course of his career.
- 34:39Took a no hitter into the 7th, his last outing against the
- 34:42Braves at home. That was a pitching matchup.
- 34:47It's got to be one of the top matchups we've seen this year.
- 34:52Blake Snell. Chris Sale Snell went 6th and
- 34:56the 6th and the 3rd allowed just two hits, zero earned runs, 11
- 34:59KS and three walks over 114 pitches.
- 35:02As I mentioned, took a no hitter into the 7th since returning
- 35:08from injury. I feel like the last start he
- 35:10had, we, we gave you the update, we gave you the numbers as to
- 35:13how he had been doing and it was, it was sort of mind
- 35:16blowing, but the IT just continues to grow.
- 35:19The legend of Blake Snell in the second-half continues to grow
- 35:22with every start that he has since returning from injury. 45
- 35:27in the 3rd innings, .99 ERA and 60 strikeouts.
- 35:35It does. It's so weird.
- 35:36Like, you don't have to look, you don't have to do a deep
- 35:40dive, you don't have to search for advanced analytics to
- 35:42support your case on on just how good of a pitcher Blake Snell is
- 35:46in the second-half. The basic county numbers that we
- 35:50look at for, for pitchers that that tells you the entire story
- 35:55right there. Like that just tells you how
- 35:56dominant he's been. And it I, I don't know, like I,
- 36:01I feel like the last time we talked to Blake, talked about
- 36:04Blake Snell, my head was in a place where it's like, OK, yeah,
- 36:08good in the second-half. But also, I think this this
- 36:11season is maybe more so due to the fact that it just took him
- 36:16longer to get going. But with every start, I'm like,
- 36:20OK, it like if he can round out the second-half pitching like
- 36:24this, like if he can maintain this, it's like we can't, we
- 36:27can't pretend that this isn't part of his story, part of his
- 36:32makeup as a as a Major League pitcher, because this is not the
- 36:36first time. And I'm, I'm assuming this won't
- 36:38be the last time we see a, a second-half Blake Snow that's
- 36:43putting up Cy Young type performances.
- 36:48Do you have an opt out? I would imagine so, with the way
- 36:53the offseason went. If man's is just going to.
- 37:02Two year, two year contract, we're 62 mil, which includes an
- 37:07opt out after the 2024 season. I bet that yeah, yeah, that's
- 37:12right. Because I remember when this
- 37:13happened, I was like, that's just, it was the most
- 37:15predictable thing. So he gone.
- 37:19He's going to try his luck again.
- 37:20Of course, there's no chance he wants to stay in San Francisco.
- 37:23No shot. And he's going to, he's going
- 37:28to, he's going to try his luck and, and hope that this
- 37:31second-half that he's put up invites teams to consider taking
- 37:40another stab at it this free agency and, and maybe hope that
- 37:43they regret not picking him up this past free agency because
- 37:49he's showing you what he can do. It's just a matter of trying to
- 37:52get something out of first half. Blake I.
- 37:54Know I know if he wasn't a freaking Boris client dude, I
- 37:58feel like he would have a legitimate shot if like hey, let
- 38:02me let me go do a team friendly deal.
- 38:05You know what I mean? Give me give me four years, 80.
- 38:16That'd be a team friendly deal, right?
- 38:1920 a year ish for him. I mean, he's getting, he's
- 38:25getting what 3031? I mean, is it split down the
- 38:28middle this contract? I would assume so.
- 38:34I mean if if that's if that's the case, I don't know if I
- 38:36would drop the AV that low. I would just hopped back it like
- 38:41if. But then he's back in the same
- 38:43boat. Like I don't think anybody.
- 38:44Wants and then he'll just, he'll just try to do it again and then
- 38:46hopefully that's enough. That's enough of a sample size
- 38:49where he's looking around at the league going.
- 38:51I what more do you want me to do?
- 38:54I've I've won I've won a Cy Young, what two Cy Youngs and
- 39:01I've shown you that I'm capable of putting up Cy Young numbers
- 39:05when you need it most. So like somebody can come,
- 39:11somebody can bring me a contract worthy of, of me actually
- 39:16entertaining it or I'm just going to stay put and, and deal
- 39:19with what I've been dealt already.
- 39:25I don't know, man. This is wild though.
- 39:27This is going to be wild if he hits the market again, which I
- 39:31think he would think he's got to if he continues this way, if he
- 39:35just rides this out the rest of the season.
- 39:39Oh no, he's getting. I don't know why.
- 39:41I thought it was split down the middle.
- 39:42He's getting 38 1/2 next year. So oh, I was, I thought you were
- 39:46going to say this year I was like, it's front loaded.
- 39:48No 23 1/2 this year, 38 1/2 I guess because it would be, could
- 39:56that be when did he actually sign the deal?
- 39:59Is it? Would that be?
- 39:59Was it pro? Rated, I don't know, like
- 40:01freaking April. They said it back loaded or
- 40:03something. Yeah.
- 40:06All I have to say though, I don't know.
- 40:08I mean, if he I don't think he with doing what he's doing right
- 40:11now and the body of work that he's he's put up over the course
- 40:14of his career. I don't think he's at a stage
- 40:16now where he wants to take a team friendly deal.
- 40:18I think he's going to try to take another stab at
- 40:20accomplishing the goal that he set out to accomplish last
- 40:23offseason, knowing that he probably won't reach the maximum
- 40:26that he was looking for, but he's probably going to look for
- 40:29a a happy medium between that and what he's currently set to
- 40:33make. Maybe.
- 40:34Maybe you go a little little hay giants get after it in December.
- 40:44You know what I'm saying? Show me a very productive
- 40:49December and then let's talk extension.
- 40:53Maybe that's what you do, little old tomato, you know what I'm
- 40:58saying? Or I'm out.
- 41:01You don't do it. You don't show me that you're
- 41:03going to I I guess I wonder when that like date is of when you
- 41:08have to opt out. There's got to be a date
- 41:11somewhere in there. Well, he's not going to with the
- 41:14way this last winter when he's he's not going to want to play
- 41:17around for too long. So he's going to need to know
- 41:19what the plan is early so he can avoid making that mistake again.
- 41:23Because that was as you as as we saw it was a wreck.
- 41:27See, and that's what makes me wonder if, like, I wonder why
- 41:31the giants didn't have a bigger deadline.
- 41:33Like I to me, I would have tried to go get controllable guys at
- 41:36the deadline and and almost like sell yourself a little bit, say
- 41:43Hey, we're working, we're trying stay here, right.
- 41:50And instead they got rid of Solaire.
- 41:52Like I'm what a what a weird organization.
- 41:57I don't get it. How do you feel about the Victor
- 42:03Robles extension? I really don't get that.
- 42:06Seattle Mariners bringing Robles back on a two year, $9.75
- 42:12million deal with a nine million team option for the 2027 season.
- 42:20Yeah. And then I think I saw a played
- 42:23appearance. Bonus.
- 42:25Yeah, bonuses and escalators could bring it up.
- 42:28North of what, to 20 million? It was, yeah, because it was
- 42:37$500,000 bonus for 500 plate appearances and then another 500
- 42:44for 600 plate appearances. What are we doing?
- 42:48What? No, no offense for Victor
- 42:51Robles. And no offense and I, I'm happy
- 42:55for him. I mean, you go out, you, you
- 42:58turn your season around, you vibe well with, with the fan
- 43:01base. Seems like the fans love him out
- 43:03there. And it look, the reality of it
- 43:06is it's not this is not going to break the bank $9.75 million.
- 43:12It's that's nothing to them. But I even then, I still feel
- 43:19like the Mariners and Mariners fans are going to look back at
- 43:22this and go, why? Why do we do that?
- 43:25Like, yeah, it's only it's like almost $10 million, but that
- 43:29could have been that could have been used elsewhere.
- 43:33And you're telling me you can't get this production out of
- 43:36somewhere in your organization? Some youth, some hopeful young
- 43:41prospect. I mean, serious question, how
- 43:46many, how many store? How many situations scenarios
- 43:50have we seen where a guy gets DFA Ed and then gets an
- 43:55extension and then it pans out? Well, like forget the forget
- 44:02just the exact like the fact that it would actually end up
- 44:06well, I I the the odds, I just don't feel like are very high of
- 44:09that happening. And again, it's not, it's not a
- 44:11lot of money, but it's like the money that you have shown that
- 44:16you're willing to spend. Why are you doing it with deals
- 44:21like this? I don't understand.
- 44:23I just, I generally don't think this is going to work.
- 44:26I think he'll be serviceable over the time that he's there.
- 44:29But like what's the point like? The fact that we're getting
- 44:34like, extension notifications about this, I don't know.
- 44:38Like it to me, it should have been, it should have been a
- 44:41number lower than this to where it didn't even warrant a
- 44:46notification. It's like, oh, marriage brought
- 44:47back Victor Robles. How much they bring it back for,
- 44:49I don't know. It wasn't a lot of money, but
- 44:52it's like nearly $10 million. I don't.
- 44:55Yeah, I don't know. In the middle of August.
- 44:59And I think this was like right after he was he was miked up on
- 45:04Sunday night baseball and was just I seemed like a fan
- 45:11favorite. I I got I was entertained by by
- 45:14his. I like him I but let's be real,
- 45:22a career 675 OPS an 84 OPS plus. That's what I'm saying.
- 45:31How often does a guy get DFA Ed gets picked up in the same
- 45:37season, gets extended, and then it works out over the life of
- 45:41that contract. Then the list has to be this
- 45:44long. I don't understand.
- 45:48We've had him for 43 games, 127 plate appearances.
- 45:53To be fair, he's he's done well. He has, he's done well there.
- 45:56But like, he played 36 games in 2023, so 132 games out of him in
- 46:082022. But like, I, I don't understand.
- 46:17It's not like it's groundbreaking money.
- 46:19It's not like we're going to sit here and and.
- 46:22Yeah, which is what we've been like.
- 46:23Harp on it that much I don't. It's just like I if you have
- 46:27promise in in the system somewhere, but also like if
- 46:35you're going to try and do something in the offseason, why
- 46:39have this time you up even that much?
- 46:43Or not even promise in the in the organization, just potential
- 46:46a ceiling elsewhere. Yeah, with your youth.
- 46:49Like, I think we, I think we know what Victor Robles is.
- 46:53And it's career wise it's not very good.
- 46:56I think he's just, he's he's playing a little over his head
- 47:01right now. And that's fine.
- 47:03Like that's good for the Mariners.
- 47:04They need it at this, at this stage in the game, Might be a
- 47:07little too little too late for them, but they need the
- 47:11production. It just, I don't know, doesn't
- 47:13make sense. We'll see.
- 47:15Whatever good for you, get your bag.
- 47:18Alex Bregman, let's talk about some guys here briefly that have
- 47:22been making some waves around the league at Astros Future.
- 47:27I got a nug here for you at Astros Future says since May
- 47:2928th. This is entering Wednesday since
- 47:32May 28th. Alex Bregman has the following
- 47:34line. Three O 735854915 double, S2,
- 47:42triples, 15 homers, 38 ribbies, 155 WRC plus 3 point 1F4 for 3rd
- 47:49baseman. He has the most F4 and 2nd best
- 47:51WRC plus during that time. He's been the best third baseman
- 47:54of baseball for nearly three months.
- 47:57Over his last eight games, he's sporting an average of a clip at
- 48:044:32. Five home runs, 8 ribbies, 12
- 48:09runs scored and he's currently in the middle.
- 48:11I don't know what he's done tonight, but entered Wednesday
- 48:15on a four-game Homer streak. So.
- 48:20I really feel like he hit one. Maybe not.
- 48:24It could be wrong. It's quite possible.
- 48:27I thought he did just in time, maybe for a multitude of reasons
- 48:35like the Astros are hot. We told you a months ago, nobody
- 48:40wanted to believe us. We told you it was coming even
- 48:44with him struggling, but also he said to hit the market this
- 48:48year. I think this you think this is
- 48:52enough like if he can have a decent September in a in a he
- 48:58does what he normally does in the postseason, I think he's
- 49:01going to get a paycheck. I'll tell you what, if I'm, if
- 49:06I'm in the front office of the Astros, I'm getting this
- 49:10extension done right before the postseason.
- 49:14If I can just hype me up, you know what I mean?
- 49:20If I'm down there and good old Hou and I get the news that our
- 49:25guys getting extended, fire me up.
- 49:30I mean, you know, they've been like this, this certainly did
- 49:33not sneak up on the organ, on the front office in the
- 49:35organization. Like the Braggy extension talks
- 49:38have been in the mix for some time now.
- 49:40It's like, OK, who, who left of the core or the really just the
- 49:47group that's there? Do they want to be a part of the
- 49:50the future moving forward? Seemed like there was a little
- 49:54bit of, we'll call it lack of clarity with Bregman.
- 49:58I feel like that seems to be the consensus that that I've
- 50:01encountered, which is kind of surprising because I feel like
- 50:06that would be a guy you'd want to keep around.
- 50:08But I also like they parted ways with Springer.
- 50:11So it's it's like it they're not, they're not so beholding to
- 50:15the to the World Series group that much.
- 50:18If they're willing to let one guy go, what's another guy?
- 50:21I don't know my dream. Just died.
- 50:23He's a Scott Boris client, so he's not getting an extension.
- 50:26Yeah, never mind. Fair assumption.
- 50:31Would be cool though. Would be cool, right?
- 50:33Would be cool. Would it be as cool, though, as
- 50:37a guy by the name of Jake Berger being quite possibly the hottest
- 50:43hitter from baseball over really since the break?
- 50:48Good old good old Jake Berger, man.
- 50:50I mean, who would have thought? Now that's AVR page that you'd
- 50:54be like OK I think this is just what he does Homie hits.
- 51:02I think he crushes beer in hits just based on the looks.
- 51:09I mean. Steak, beer, home runs.
- 51:14I don't know if it's this sustainable at this level.
- 51:17I don't know if he's ever been known to do quite what he's
- 51:20doing right now, but you know that the pop has been there.
- 51:24The pop's been there. He's just putting it on full
- 51:27display right now. He entering Wednesday got an MLB
- 51:31leading thirteen home runs since the break he's had.
- 51:36He's got seventeen home runs since June 27th.
- 51:39He also is on a four-game Homer streak.
- 51:42Don't know if he got one tonight and his past 26 games he's
- 51:50hitting 361. Fourteen home runs, 23 ribbies
- 51:53and 23 runs scored. Yeah.
- 51:56Sucks that it doesn't matter though for the old Miami
- 51:59Marlins, but 30? Four home runs last year.
- 52:03It's a sneaky 34 home runs last year.
- 52:08I don't know if I would have guessed that if if you would
- 52:10have given me a dozen guesses, I don't know if I would have had
- 52:14him with that many home runs of last year.
- 52:16That's what I'm saying. But you have to imagine that
- 52:19that was part of the reason that they ended up where they did in
- 52:23October. Granted, they fell flat on their
- 52:25face, but you got to imagine that he would.
- 52:28He played a big role in that. So good for good for Old Burger.
- 52:33Yeah, yeah, because he he had 53 games.
- 52:39So he had played 88 games last year with Chicago, fifteen home
- 52:44runs, 53 games in Miami and had thirteen home runs.
- 52:52Just kidding. I was looking at double S He had
- 52:56nine home runs in Miami in the 53 games.
- 52:59Either way, so impressive here I have one gripe though.
- 53:03I I hate his home run trot. It's it's hard to watch.
- 53:10I'm just saying I just need to put that out there.
- 53:14I. Think.
- 53:15It's a real, it's a real tough watch.
- 53:18Just hear me out here, watch it, and report back.
- 53:29Is this something you want me to do right now?
- 53:31If you do, if you wouldn't mind. OK, I'll it's it's it's not
- 53:36smooth. What I was going to say as I, as
- 53:40I pull this up, I, I think you and I are at a fork in the road
- 53:44because you, I feel like are getting.
- 53:48Getting judgmental in my old age, that's for sure.
- 53:51Yeah, but just, I think you're just getting a little more, a
- 53:56little more upset with things that I don't feel like should be
- 53:59upsetting you at this age in your life.
- 54:02It's fair, it's fair. I'm looking at the home run trot
- 54:06right now and it just looks like a big burly guy lumbering around
- 54:09the bases after hitting a ball nearly 400 feet.
- 54:11I don't. I don't.
- 54:12Know what to say. It's just tough.
- 54:13It's not it's not a smooth. Trot, that's a grown man.
- 54:17That is a grown man running around the bases.
- 54:20I need a better trot, that's all.
- 54:23I don't frankly think he cares. That's not how he runs.
- 54:28It's tough dude. That's a grown man making his
- 54:31way around the bags. I I have no problem with what
- 54:34I'm seeing right now. It's ugly.
- 54:37Yet another thing that you and I are disagreeing on right now
- 54:39that you're a big. Big ugly trot and MGK guy today.
- 54:46Good for you. I'm not strong I.
- 54:49Said that I'm team Eminem, so we'll just need to have that
- 54:53stated on record again. But to revisit that for maybe
- 54:57some folks that joined the live stream, we got into it at the
- 54:59beginning of the episode talking about was and was Machine Gun
- 55:03Kelly's first pits where where he didn't throw it home but
- 55:07instead threw it into the stands after he signed it.
- 55:10Was that a, was that a, did we like that or did we not like
- 55:13that? I was of I was of the belief
- 55:15that it was creative and unique. And Nate just for some reason
- 55:19got all upset and got his panties in the wad.
- 55:21I don't know. Makes no sense.
- 55:23Makes zero sense to me. Andrew says Jake Berger, Daniel
- 55:29Vogelbachen and hot dog eating contest.
- 55:32I'd I'd pay a small fee for that.
- 55:34Yeah. Not too much, but I'd pay a
- 55:37small fee. Yeah, yeah, I have no problem
- 55:40with the trot. The guy just mashes, and that's
- 55:42what he's been doing since the break.
- 55:44So good for good for Jake Berger.
- 55:46Will Wagner, son of Billy Wagner.
- 55:49Who needs to be a Hall of Famer, by the way?
- 55:51What's up with the Blue Jays? Just, oh, your dad played Major
- 55:54League Baseball? I know what is up with that?
- 55:58It's it's, I don't know what's like what's.
- 56:02More of their type, like the Orioles getting like, you know,
- 56:05just blonde, curly haired, you know, can't grow a beard kids or
- 56:10Blue Jays just getting sons of big leaguers.
- 56:13Like what's more, it's kind of a it's kind of a toss up.
- 56:17What do you think? I mean, I have to imagine that
- 56:22the that the sample size is is far less for the Blue Jays.
- 56:26So they really have to capitalize when the right
- 56:29situation comes around. Because sure, former big
- 56:33leaguers have sons all the time, but how many of them actually
- 56:35make it to the point you know of of making it to the actual show?
- 56:42I'm telling if he does, he's raking immediately.
- 56:47He's got what is he? Like 5 or.
- 56:49Six years I saw that he was the is 1/5 player in Blue Jays
- 56:55franchise history to record five hits in his first two games.
- 56:58I think he had three hits the first game to the second and was
- 57:03raking in the minors. By the way, I don't know if you
- 57:05saw that between Sugar Land and Buffalo, Slash 315-430-2444 has
- 57:15six bombs, 43 ribbies and a 59 to 37 walk decay ratio.
- 57:20Deese. In case you're wondering if
- 57:23these things interest you, if these little statistical
- 57:26anomalies interest you. After two games he has an OPS
- 57:31plus of 352. So I mean he should just retire
- 57:36that would that would have to be probably like top ten.
- 57:41I don't time minimum two games. I don't care how well Kikuchi
- 57:44does with the Astros, he could win World Series MVP this year.
- 57:49I still think the Blue Jays fleeced that deal.
- 57:55Fleeced. I didn't even realize he was in
- 57:57the deal. I know low profito has kind of
- 58:05struggled coming over. Just wait though, it is good.
- 58:09I understand. And I'm, I'm like sort of on the
- 58:12fence about it, but I'm like, if Kikuchi continues to do what
- 58:15he's been doing and gives them enough of a push.
- 58:19I'm not saying he has to go out there game seven of the World
- 58:21Series and throw 7 shut. But like, if he can if if, if
- 58:28the Astros look back on this season or specifically
- 58:32specifically. Well be a win win.
- 58:33Yeah, specifically post deadline, if they look back on
- 58:36this and go Kikuchi was a huge part of that.
- 58:39I don't know if you can say that they got fleeced.
- 58:41I mean, sure. It needs to be a ring, otherwise
- 58:43these these names are going to keep going.
- 58:45The Blue Jays have names in that deal.
- 58:49I suppose. You'll see.
- 58:51Yeah, I mean, we're dealing with some what ifs right now.
- 58:53Let's replay this in like 3 or four years.
- 58:56That's fair. John Kinsey Noel, AKA Big
- 59:03Christmas. You want to talk about a grown
- 59:08man with a home run trot, a backdrop, a home run trot, and
- 59:18just a presence about himself. Yeah.
- 59:24I'm blown away, I'm not going to lie.
- 59:27Did you see the ball he hit last night?
- 59:31Yeah, 430 feet down the line. Dropped the bat at home plate
- 59:37like it was AQ tip and just Lombard around the bags.
- 59:43That is a large man. He gives me pig vibes.
- 59:51He gives me like less of like the theatrics.
- 59:54Sure. Raw like physical ability.
- 59:58He gives me Puig vibes. Dude, are we going to touch that
- 1:00:04call? That call with the 10 foot pole
- 1:00:06today? That was a pretty weird call.
- 1:00:08Yeah, yeah, that was. A little.
- 1:00:11Probably not the best thing to say.
- 1:00:13I mean it, it kind of rolled off the tongue a little bit,
- 1:00:16honestly kind of concerning, but it's a.
- 1:00:19Little tough, a little weird, but.
- 1:00:21I mean, I get it. Like, who hasn't said that
- 1:00:23before? But on a broadcast, I'm like, I
- 1:00:28don't know if that's the best thing.
- 1:00:29Yeah. It's probably tough, but yeah,
- 1:00:31he gives me Puig vibes. Dude, there's something about
- 1:00:35that. Yeah.
- 1:00:36Hopefully it's it's. It's like a it's a cross between
- 1:00:39Puig and like Fran Mil Reyes. I want to watch it again.
- 1:00:43I want to watch it again. It was a a moon bomb.
- 1:00:49It no, it wasn't even a moon bomb.
- 1:00:51It was just a laser down the line.
- 1:00:53I'll give you 10 bucks to spell his name.
- 1:00:55Or do you have it in front of you?
- 1:00:56I've got it in front of. Me JH right?
- 1:00:58JHONKENSYNOLNOEL, John. Kinsey, Noel.
- 1:01:10Oh my, that's the I want to watch it on loop so many times.
- 1:01:16Just put it on a two second loop and just let it live on repeat.
- 1:01:21Three home runs in his last two games.
- 1:01:23Again, this is entering Wednesday.
- 1:01:25Yeah, his also his load. Can we talk about his load for a
- 1:01:28second? Did you see the just his his
- 1:01:31starting position? Yeah, I need it again.
- 1:01:35And then and then just yeah. I like that.
- 1:01:39He's got the little like leg leg out to the front of the box and
- 1:01:43then just drops the hammer on anything that is even remotely
- 1:01:47close to the zone. Oh my gosh.
- 1:01:51Unreal. I just, we didn't.
- 1:01:52There wasn't really much a touch on beyond just the fact that,
- 1:01:55again, we're dealing with a large human being that hits
- 1:01:58baseballs very hard and very far.
- 1:02:00That back hip coil is absurd. Yeah, dude, the.
- 1:02:06Power is real. My weird, I'm just going to keep
- 1:02:14scrolling. Oh that's such a sick picture.
- 1:02:17Just. Yes, that's what I'm saying,
- 1:02:19dude. The bat flips are no, they're
- 1:02:23not even flips. They're drops, which I don't
- 1:02:25know if I've said on this on this podcast before, but bat bat
- 1:02:29drops over bat flips every day the week.
- 1:02:31I'm sorry. Oh, that's so good.
- 1:02:36Yes, I saw that. Oh, any news?
- 1:02:41I can swipe on this forever? What a swing, dude.
- 1:02:47Yeah, like slider down and away goes bridge to left center.
- 1:02:56Good trot. Good trot bro.
- 1:03:01Bro just looks like. AI didn't anticipate us breaking
- 1:03:04down home run Trouts on on today's episode.
- 1:03:06But yeah, bro, looks like he's he's, he looks like a superhero,
- 1:03:09dude. That he does.
- 1:03:12That he does. So moral of the story, if if
- 1:03:18hitters have their hands low, I would typically try to get the
- 1:03:22ball up a little bit. Man's is obviously punishing
- 1:03:26baseballs down in the zone. Not even in the zone.
- 1:03:29Actually, half of these are below the zone.
- 1:03:33What a freak. That's exciting.
- 1:03:35That's some. That's some pop that Cleveland
- 1:03:38has needed. What position does he play?
- 1:03:43Right field, I think. My goodness.
- 1:03:49Because he made, I'm like 99% sure I saw he made like a dive.
- 1:03:52Yeah, he's a right fielder. He made like a diving play or
- 1:03:54something and right. So he's like showing a little
- 1:03:58bit of the leather off, too. What you love to see.
- 1:04:00Yeah. The, the guards need this.
- 1:04:02The guards need. They need some juice.
- 1:04:04They need some pop. Some some pop to come along and
- 1:04:07and push them over the edge this this October.
- 1:04:10Yeah, let's talk. Let's talk this weekend, Players
- 1:04:16Weekend maybe got a weekend series to watch.
- 1:04:19Cooked up for the players weekend.
- 1:04:21All right, so Friday and I had to think about this.
- 1:04:27I'm pretty sure they did something similar structure wise
- 1:04:30where they broke it up. Each day was a theme.
- 1:04:32I think they did something similar the last time they did
- 1:04:36this. Or maybe maybe they didn't and
- 1:04:40I'm making this up. Tell me, tell me if this sounds
- 1:04:43familiar. Friday.
- 1:04:45The theme is fun. They're highlighting fun aspects
- 1:04:48of players, personalities, friendships, and off the field
- 1:04:50interest. Saturday under highlighting
- 1:04:55causes, focus will be on charitable and community
- 1:04:58initiatives that are important to the players.
- 1:04:59And Sunday is all about appreciation.
- 1:05:02Players will celebrate the people who helped them on their
- 1:05:04path to the major leagues. That's does that not sound
- 1:05:08familiar? Haven't we done?
- 1:05:10I mean, I know we've done players weekend before, but like
- 1:05:13the theme why do? Why does that sound familiar?
- 1:05:15Are the Jersey things that that's dead?
- 1:05:18Jersey the The custom nickname jerseys are in fact, dead.
- 1:05:24There's a lot of a lot of a good ride.
- 1:05:27There's a lot of clamoring. You want to talk majority,
- 1:05:29minority. I think the majority of people
- 1:05:31want them, actually want them back, yeah.
- 1:05:33I think, I think you end up I think you end up on a high note
- 1:05:36with that one. You know, I think that was cool.
- 1:05:41You know, it's I'm OK with, I'm OK with that being done.
- 1:05:47The I didn't, I didn't need like the black and white jerseys
- 1:05:51again, that was tough. That was a tough look.
- 1:05:53Yeah, not not doing that again. No thanks.
- 1:05:57So I'm assuming all of this is going to be expressed in cleats.
- 1:06:05Good gloves, right? Cleats.
- 1:06:08Sleeves. Bats auto imagine sleeves.
- 1:06:11I think they're doing, I think they're doing something with the
- 1:06:14with the hats. They're doing some embroidery,
- 1:06:17embroidery work on the sides or something.
- 1:06:20I think the numbers are going to have like a little theme I
- 1:06:23believe, right? Yeah, that, that's what it was.
- 1:06:24Yeah, the numbers that yeah, that's what it was.
- 1:06:28My question to you though, and tell me what you think here.
- 1:06:32I'm not saying this is the case. I just want to I want to play
- 1:06:35devil's advocate here and and propose this question to you.
- 1:06:39Interesting. What do you Let me preface this
- 1:06:43by saying I think Major League Baseball has taken great strides
- 1:06:46in the last few years to address this issue.
- 1:06:49This need something baseball fans have been clamoring for for
- 1:06:52some time now. But what do you think that this
- 1:06:56says about the game of Major League Baseball when you have to
- 1:07:00dedicate a weekend to highlighting the fun aspects of
- 1:07:05the game? Again, I'm not saying that that
- 1:07:13the league isn't as a whole highlighting the fun aspects of
- 1:07:17the game, but it just seems odd to me that you have to dedicate
- 1:07:21a weekend towards highlighting these things.
- 1:07:23I feel like especially with as long as the season is, I feel
- 1:07:26like this should be like a season long initiative.
- 1:07:29Like, let's figure out ways to highlight these guys.
- 1:07:33The the the charities are the causes that they're a part of
- 1:07:35the they're they're highlight their stories a little bit
- 1:07:38better. And again, to reiterate,
- 1:07:41baseball's is doing much better. I'm not going to sit here and
- 1:07:43say that they haven't been. I just think it's interesting
- 1:07:46that they're like, oh, let's bring players weekend back in
- 1:07:48the midst of us trying to make an effort to address these
- 1:07:52things already. I don't know, I just I'm posing
- 1:07:54the question. I didn't know if if that seemed
- 1:07:56odd A. Fair question.
- 1:07:59That's a fair question, but I don't fully disagree.
- 1:08:07I don't know, I see both sides of it, I guess, because like I I
- 1:08:18personally like I nerd out on a uniform, like I nerd out on like
- 1:08:25color coding in that uniform. So going against that color
- 1:08:31coding, not I'm not saying it's like crazy.
- 1:08:38I don't know. I got this weekend.
- 1:08:41I'm I'm, I'm kind of whatever about it personally.
- 1:08:43Yeah, now I get it. And some people like it more
- 1:08:45than others and that's totally fine.
- 1:08:47There shouldn't be like if for you, for example, and and also
- 1:08:51sort of myself, if if you say that you're a traditionalist and
- 1:08:56you just like the uniforms to be as is and you like a minimal
- 1:08:59experimenting, like a city connect is fine, Whatever, Throw
- 1:09:02in an alternate or whatever. That's fine.
- 1:09:05As you said it. You said it yourself that like I
- 1:09:08remember years ago, you in fact, I think it was just before the
- 1:09:14concept of city connects was even announced, you were like,
- 1:09:17we need to like have a have a city themed.
- 1:09:21I remember the post. I remember making the post the
- 1:09:24the quote graphic. You were like, we need city
- 1:09:27themed uniforms. And I can see I can see the post
- 1:09:30in my head. So you you were at least on
- 1:09:33board with like mixing in an alternate.
- 1:09:35In there I was the I was the culprit for sure.
- 1:09:37Because because you pointed out and it's a, it's a valid point
- 1:09:40that like the, the seasons long, like there, there are plenty of
- 1:09:44opportunities to incorporate something like this and it not
- 1:09:46be that big of a deal. But just if you like, just
- 1:09:51because you say you're maybe a traditionalist in that sense
- 1:09:53doesn't mean that you should get any unwanted hate from the other
- 1:09:57side and vice versa. Like everybody's got their own
- 1:09:59taste. And this weekend, maybe for
- 1:10:02maybe more for some than it is for others.
- 1:10:05I just think I'd like the. I think you're right.
- 1:10:09Jamming it into a weekend is kind of weird.
- 1:10:12Like I if, if everyone is doing it, it's like it's almost like
- 1:10:16no one's doing it. Like it's an overwhelming amount
- 1:10:18of things. If we're trying to bring up
- 1:10:21these charities, every single one of these players has their
- 1:10:26own charities. Who's working with somebody who?
- 1:10:30Won all of them. So to have one day where we're
- 1:10:35bringing it up and it's, it's going to be jammed down our
- 1:10:39throat of like it's, it's, it's overwhelming.
- 1:10:44I'd rather see this of like an ALNL thing like give Ala players
- 1:10:49weekend in like, I don't know, like may give NL this players
- 1:10:53weekend. So we can at least kind of
- 1:10:54separate this a little bit and like appreciate some of those
- 1:10:59things. Like I, I love that they're
- 1:11:00doing that. I'd like to see more teams and
- 1:11:04not again, like not to be too much of A Homer.
- 1:11:06I, I don't know if other teams are doing this, but like the
- 1:11:10Yankees have a game where it's like it's really built around
- 1:11:17like the Rizzo Foundation. Like the Rizzo does like an
- 1:11:20insane amount of stuff. And they actually like put a
- 1:11:23barcode on like the clicker on the game.
- 1:11:27And they're like, bid to win a catching lesson from Trevino,
- 1:11:32bid to take BP with Aaron Judge, bid to go on like a night on,
- 1:11:38like whatever it may be, right? You know, take a Yankee tour
- 1:11:41with, you know, Brian Cashman, like whatever it is.
- 1:11:46And all these guys are like donating their time.
- 1:11:48And it's like a full, it's the whole game where you can bid in
- 1:11:51and do that. Like if baseball could do that
- 1:11:53on a big scale and there's more opportunities for each team,
- 1:11:58each guy to stand out versus everything being crammed into
- 1:12:02like a 24 hour period of these three days.
- 1:12:05You're saying? I think the charity one for me
- 1:12:08is like the coolest. I do love, I am a sucker for the
- 1:12:13help who helped me get here. 1/2 like that's super sick.
- 1:12:18So I'm I'm curious to see how it goes.
- 1:12:24I I like it. I'm just, I'm not like, I don't
- 1:12:27know. I'm not like marking it down in
- 1:12:28my calendar. Sure, you know.
- 1:12:30That's kind of where I'm at too. Like I, I, I think the concept
- 1:12:33is cool. Like any, any initiative that
- 1:12:36you can take and you always see like you always have to put
- 1:12:38yourself in the shoes of these kids, man.
- 1:12:40Like you, You see that the impact that it has on the kids.
- 1:12:43And that's ultimately what all this is about.
- 1:12:45That's like why all of this takes place.
- 1:12:49And why it's placed around Sunday night's game at with the
- 1:12:52with the little. League with the Little League
- 1:12:54Classic, Yeah, Little League Classic coming up this weekend.
- 1:12:56So you have to keep that in perspective.
- 1:13:00But you know, like I said, some people enjoy it more than
- 1:13:03others. But ultimately, like it's not so
- 1:13:08big of a deal that it should upset you that it's happening.
- 1:13:11But it's also like not so minor of a thing where it's like,
- 1:13:16what's going on, what happened? Like you should at least be
- 1:13:18aware that it's happening to know that like the league is
- 1:13:21making an effort to bring awareness to these different
- 1:13:26facets of these guys stories. So.
- 1:13:29Like imagine if each weekend if there was one weekend
- 1:13:31throughout, I don't know, like it where you give like each team
- 1:13:36an opportunity or two teams like an opportunity to be like this.
- 1:13:40And then you could really sit there and like talk about that
- 1:13:43and be like, what's your charity?
- 1:13:45Like what are you? We can't do that with every
- 1:13:47team. Can't hear every guy's story
- 1:13:50across the league in two days. 3 days.
- 1:13:53So you're right, MLB is doing good.
- 1:13:57I just like to see more of it and not so concentrated on one
- 1:14:02weekend. Speaking of this weekend, some
- 1:14:08games to maybe keep your eye on. I didn't.
- 1:14:10I didn't specifically pull one out like I usually do it.
- 1:14:15I'm I'm certain that you didn't either, Nate, but there are some
- 1:14:19good matchups to keep an eye out on.
- 1:14:21Seattle and Pittsburgh. Say what you will about the
- 1:14:24postseason odds, but some some decent pitching there.
- 1:14:28You got Logan Gilbert and Paul Skeens, Luis Castillo, Bailey
- 1:14:32falter. George Kirby is also going on
- 1:14:35Sunday. So if you're into pitching,
- 1:14:38maybe some some games, keep an eye out on the Little League
- 1:14:42Classic. I believe this year.
- 1:14:44That's Yankees, Detroit, right? Yeah.
- 1:14:47So you got Garrett Cole opening that that series on Friday,
- 1:14:56Sunday. Do we have the Sunday?
- 1:15:00Sunday. Starters Sunday would be Stroman
- 1:15:04and Scuba, Dang it. So an interesting match up
- 1:15:08there. Yeah, some some good, good
- 1:15:11pitching match ups, some some games with certainly playoff
- 1:15:15implications scattered throughout.
- 1:15:19Boston's visiting Baltimore that that four-game series starts
- 1:15:23Thursday. Could this if it if that one
- 1:15:27gets ugly, it could be real scary, like it could be close to
- 1:15:32panic button for Boston, Yeah. Oh yeah, the four-game against
- 1:15:37Baltimore is is huge for sure. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:40That's a big series. It's a real big.
- 1:15:43I would argue bigger for Baltimore, though, Like, it's,
- 1:15:47yeah, I mean, socks are already kind of on the fence as it is,
- 1:15:53but Baltimore needs to needs to figure some things out if they
- 1:15:57want to win the division that I think a lot of people had them
- 1:16:00pegged for at the start of the year.
- 1:16:01So, yeah. And then just as I'm scanning
- 1:16:05the weekend, I see Clayton Kershaw and Sonny Gray on
- 1:16:08Sunday. Yeah, some good ones.
- 1:16:13Brandon fought and Taj Bradley. Taj Bradley's been throwing
- 1:16:16exceptionally well last, what, couple months?
- 1:16:20You want to know a low key series?
- 1:16:22Can't believe I'm saying this in August.
- 1:16:25Who you got? A's, Mets, The A's have been
- 1:16:30like, have you seen? I think they've won like eight
- 1:16:33straight series. The A's just played the Mets.
- 1:16:35I'm. Playing them again.
- 1:16:38The The Mets are playing the the Marlins this weekend.
- 1:16:42I'm looking at Thursday bro. Yeah, they're wrapping that
- 1:16:47series up. The The weekend that ends.
- 1:16:50Yeah, Thursday. Oh, I see what you're saying.
- 1:16:52You thought it started Thursday? No, no, that they're wrapping
- 1:16:55the series up Thursday, and then the Mets are playing the Marlins
- 1:16:57starting this weekend. Oh, OK, OK, OK.
- 1:17:01But yeah, Speaking of that series, the Mets and A's,
- 1:17:04they've got a little, little little beef going there.
- 1:17:07Did you see that? Yeah, I like that.
- 1:17:11I like what I'm seeing out of the A's.
- 1:17:13I really do like. I'm not even trying to be funny
- 1:17:15or. Not dead, no.
- 1:17:16The A's are like, actually not terrible.
- 1:17:19They can bang, dude. Yeah.
- 1:17:21One of the best offenses since the All Star break.
- 1:17:24Yeah, insane. Like top top five.
- 1:17:28I think we talked, we I think we just talked about it like a week
- 1:17:31ago, like top top five offense in all of baseball since since
- 1:17:35the All Star break. The Dodger, I tell you what.
- 1:17:38Dodgers not They don't have. They can't afford to mess around
- 1:17:40with the Cardinals this weekend. Padres got the Rockies.
- 1:17:47Is that in? Oh, that's in Colorado.
- 1:17:49Oh, Padres about to bang. And you got Cal Quadra going
- 1:17:53this weekend. Yeah, they're putting up like
- 1:17:56they're putting up at least 21 of those games.
- 1:17:58Diamondbacks in Tampa, but the Dodgers just got to be looking
- 1:18:03in the rear view the rest of the way out.
- 1:18:04Is that gallon Jeffrey Springs on Saturday?
- 1:18:09I, I'll be honest with you, I kind of like, I kind of like
- 1:18:11this approach to looking at weekend series to watch, just
- 1:18:14kind of bouncing around the league and highlighting some,
- 1:18:16some pitching matchups. Is fun, as do I.
- 1:18:20Yeah, Garrett Crochet, Spencer Eric Getty.
- 1:18:25I mean, crochet has been thrown obviously well, but Spencer Eric
- 1:18:28Getty as of late had a a rocky first, call it 2/3 of the
- 1:18:34season, but has really turn a corner, I would say.
- 1:18:42Yeah. So all let's say, I mean you
- 1:18:44can't watch all those games, but do your best to maybe catch some
- 1:18:47of those matchups. Get them in.
- 1:18:49Get them in. Like I said, if you if you like
- 1:18:51pitching matchups, there's something for you if you like
- 1:18:54high stakes, playoff. ESPN has has officially added
- 1:19:01the playoff percentage chance of playoffs to their standings
- 1:19:07page. I love these.
- 1:19:09Oh. I like this.
- 1:19:10Yeah. Oh yeah, I'm seeing it.
- 1:19:14Yeah, that's fun. Love that.
- 1:19:18All right, we'll check that out if you're if you're interested
- 1:19:20in play out percentages, but other than that, I think that's
- 1:19:23all we got. Good stuff, old chap.
- 1:19:28Good stuff, old chap. Sunday.
- 1:19:30Sunday slash Monday, whenever you hear it, we'll get a.
- 1:19:35We got to get back to some name that player again.
- 1:19:38We might save that for next Wednesday.
- 1:19:40I feel I like making that a end of the week segment or any game
- 1:19:45that we really go with now. Not we're an hour, we're an
- 1:19:51hour, 20 minutes deep into this thing.
- 1:19:53Wow. That's because our people are
- 1:19:55awesome and they're just hanging out.
- 1:19:57That's true. Just hanging out and talking.
- 1:19:58They. Love us cool good stuff.
- 1:20:02Good stuff today. Proud of you.
- 1:20:04Keep it up. All right.
- 1:20:06Proud of you. I like your hat too.
- 1:20:07Thanks man, Shout out, Shout out, Terry Blacks.
- 1:20:10Yeah, little BBQ. All right, Well, don't go
- 1:20:15chasing curveballs. Love you all, and as always,
- 1:20:16looking forward to talking more baseball with you guys soon.
- 1:20:19Until next time, stay filthy.
