  Today we reflect on the Eastern Mediterranean field, the birth
• 0:50
  place of our faith. This part of the Eurasia region
• 0:54
  carries immense complexity, conflict, migration,
• 1:01
  instability, uncertainty and suffering.
• 1:06
  These are the realities that many communities face daily.
• 1:12
  And yet, sometimes some of the strongest faith that I've
• 1:17
  encountered comes from believers serving in difficult places.
• 1:24
  In Romans chapter 15, we read these words.
• 1:28
  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you
• 1:35
  trust in Him. Hope is not denial.
• 1:40
  Hope is not pretending circumstances are easy.
• 1:45
  Hope is confidence in the character of God.
• 1:50
  Across the Eurasia region, and specifically the Eastern
• 1:55
  Mediterranean field, I have seen this hope.
• 2:00
  I have witnessed churches serving refugees, caring for
• 2:05
  displaced families, feeding communities, and extending
• 2:11
  compassion in environments marked by fear and instability.
• 2:17
  I have seen believers continue worshipping despite uncertainty
• 2:23
  about their safety. I've seen leaders continue
• 2:27
  serving despite exhaustion. I've seen churches continue
• 2:34
  loving their neighbors despite their own personal hardship.
• 2:40
  The lesson that I continue learning is this hope becomes
• 2:45
  most visible when circumstances are hardest.
• 2:52
  Easy circumstances do not provide resilient faith.
• 2:58
  Difficulty often reveals it. One leader shared with me how
• 3:06
  acts of compassion opened doors for gospel conversations that
• 3:11
  would never have happened otherwise.
• 3:15
  Another described how prayer gatherings became places of
• 3:19
  healing for traumatized families.
• 3:23
  And yes, there are many traumatized families across this
• 3:28
  field. The Church shines brightest when
• 3:32
  it reflects the compassion of Christ in the darkest of places.
• 3:40
  Perhaps some of you listening today are facing uncertainty
• 3:43
  yourselves. Maybe your future feels unclear.
• 3:48
  Maybe your circumstances feel overwhelming.
• 3:52
  Remember this. God has not abandoned you.
• 3:58
  God remains faithful and the Kingdom continues advancing even
• 4:04
  in difficult environments throughout the Eastern
• 4:08
  Mediterranean field. I've been reminded that the
• 4:13
  Church has always grown strongest when it depended most
• 4:18
  deeply upon God. Across Eurasia, we continue
• 4:25
  learning that God is already there.
• 4:31
  Lord Jesus, quiet our hearts so we may recognize where you are
• 4:36
  already at. Work around us, strengthen your
• 4:40
  weary servants, renew our hope, and teach us to join you with
• 4:47
  humility and courage. And as your people serve across
• 4:52
  Eurasia, may we remain faithful, attentive to your spirit, and
• 4:59
  rooted deeply in your love. In Jesus name I pray.
