September 20th
Today we celebrate the birthdays of Chuck Panozzo of Styx, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd. We also return to the moment John Lennon told his bandmates he was leaving The Beatles, remember Jim Croce’s final night, and revisit David Bowie’s first U.S. No. 1 with Fame.
A new chapter of music history, all connected to September 20.
