- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come off the bitch.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:24Speaker 2: You welcome in Thursday morning, Landre with a different music again.
- 0:37Speaker 3: It was actually an accident.
- 0:38Speaker 2: This time it was an accident.
- 0:39Speaker 3: That was an accident. I didn't do this.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Sounds like a little bit of a coincidence.
- 0:44Speaker 4: You get, you get like uncomfortable and thrown half whenever
- 0:47Speaker 4: that happens.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Well, it's a great song and a great lead in
- 0:51Speaker 2: intro for hour number two. I'm sorry doesn't lead into
- 0:55Speaker 2: the Year's great, but it's okay. It's not gonna kill
- 0:59Speaker 2: the vibes around here. Hey, I got here pretty early today.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Was did the big tropical storm hit by the time
- 1:08Speaker 2: you all got here?
- 1:09Speaker 4: We're not talking about that. It was I was looking
- 1:11Speaker 4: last night. I was like yeah, and I was like,
- 1:15Speaker 4: I may need to leave a little early because this
- 1:17Speaker 4: thing was supposed to be like just a down poor
- 1:20Speaker 4: I don't think I got a drop on the way
- 1:22Speaker 4: to work.
- 1:22Speaker 2: No, it wouldn't rain at all when I got here.
- 1:25Speaker 5: If it were to be a tropical storm. It would
- 1:27Speaker 5: have taken me by surprise. I had no idea that
- 1:29Speaker 5: was supposed to be a thing.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Really, it kind of popped up, what like Saturday Sunday,
- 1:34Speaker 4: and then it was supposed to like so was supposed
- 1:39Speaker 4: to like hug Mexico to Texas, like maybe like Alexandria,
- 1:42Speaker 4: we were going to catch the bottom of it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: But did this one get a name? Arthur? So the
- 1:47Speaker 2: first name storm Arthur. So that would be at the
- 1:53Speaker 2: beginning of the very beginning of the next so the.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Crowd.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so a little bit like we were even talking about, like, hey,
- 2:03Speaker 2: we're gonna shut our factory down, are we gonna like
- 2:06Speaker 2: ask our boys come to work? Because miss I don't know,
- 2:10Speaker 2: like this might be a hot take, and I know
- 2:12Speaker 2: that hurricanes are that like in Louisiana, hurricanes can be
- 2:15Speaker 2: just awful a lot of times, at least here in
- 2:20Speaker 2: the capital city. Never quite as bad as you make
- 2:24Speaker 2: it out there. You better better be over prepared though. Yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 2: but yeah, I didn't get a rain drop on the
- 2:30Speaker 2: way here, so I don't know, maybe it's maybe it's
- 2:32Speaker 2: still coming.
- 2:33Speaker 4: My driveway had a lot of water, but I didn't
- 2:35Speaker 4: wake up last night from it. I mean I kept
- 2:37Speaker 4: waiting and waiting, like, all right, here's the rain. My
- 2:40Speaker 4: dog is gonna start freaking out. Nope, nothing.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We all keep us updated. Because we have no windows here,
- 2:45Speaker 2: We're not gonna be able to know what's happening outside.
- 2:47Speaker 2: So y'all keep us updated. See if there's any tropical
- 2:50Speaker 2: storms here in the capital city. But if you are
- 2:55Speaker 2: somewhere where it is, stay safe. You mean like up
- 2:58Speaker 2: in New York, up in New York, not New York City,
- 3:04Speaker 2: Long Island. Wonder what do you think is happening in
- 3:08Speaker 2: Long Island?
- 3:10Speaker 3: The US Open?
- 3:11Speaker 2: The US Open. Wait, that's not what I was gonna
- 3:13Speaker 2: go a shoot, mak an iced teas By the way,
- 3:23Speaker 2: whoever invented a Long Island iced tea? Raging alcoholic? Yeah,
- 3:28Speaker 2: just put a little bit of everything in there. Call
- 3:30Speaker 2: it an iced tea, A little bit that I don't
- 3:33Speaker 2: drink that young one people.
- 3:36Speaker 4: An iced tea is strong. I'm like, no, that's just
- 3:38Speaker 4: called a Long Island It's.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Just called uh yeah, US opens happening right now, we'll
- 3:47Speaker 2: get into that. We got it. We got a great
- 3:50Speaker 2: show for you today. I don't even know what we're
- 3:52Speaker 2: going to talk about, but guess what. We're gonna do
- 3:55Speaker 2: it together, all of us.
- 3:57Speaker 3: You're like super unprepared.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Well, you know, came into the show like we do
- 4:02Speaker 2: every day. You know, there's a lot of headliners, sports
- 4:04Speaker 2: things to talk about. But we're going to see in
- 4:07Speaker 2: what order we talk about him where the show is
- 4:10Speaker 2: going to take us.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Okay, so I know we thought that we were going
- 4:13Speaker 5: to close the chapter on Brenan Sarsby, but his agent
- 4:15Speaker 5: opened his mouth yesterday, and it's really funny to me,
- 4:18Speaker 5: Oh really.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we can talk about that I very quickly.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's not like I did kind of see that he's
- 4:24Speaker 2: got a pro day scheduled.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I think he's gonna have to. I mean, yeah, well,
- 4:33Speaker 2: I guess who's going to show.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Up pro day for one person?
- 4:37Speaker 4: The New York Jets, Matt I told you the other day.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I think that is the only team that's it. But
- 4:41Speaker 4: the New York Jets don't bite. I mean, do I
- 4:45Speaker 4: think they have eight picks next year? They could afford
- 4:48Speaker 4: to give up like a six or seventh rounder in
- 4:50Speaker 4: the supplemental. It's also the Jets, they're a poorly run organization, don't.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They have I think do they control. Is it five
- 4:58Speaker 2: or six first round pick the next three years something
- 5:01Speaker 2: like crazy? So, I mean they have a ton of
- 5:03Speaker 2: draft capital. You're not gonna have to give up a time.
- 5:06Speaker 2: There's not gonna be a bidding war for this guy. Well, no,
- 5:09Speaker 2: there's not gonna be a bidding war for this guy.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm just confused, not confused. I'm wondering, is anybody going
- 5:15Speaker 2: to give up anything in the subple, like even if
- 5:20Speaker 2: it's a seventh throne like Selement.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I was just saying, if if there's one team, I
- 5:24Speaker 4: could see you be in the Jets. I don't think
- 5:26Speaker 4: anybody does.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I heard ESPN, Big Big ESPN talking a who Day yesterday.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Does anybody give a third yeah, Big ESPN third fourth
- 5:35Speaker 2: round compensation in this supplemental draft. And they're trying to
- 5:39Speaker 2: make an argument for this like that, like, yeah, there's
- 5:42Speaker 2: talent there, Yeah he's a good player, he had success,
- 5:45Speaker 2: blah blah blah. But at the end of the day,
- 5:48Speaker 2: it's all about distractions. I just don't think, like, maybe
- 5:51Speaker 2: maybe somebody takes a flyer, but they do have to know.
- 5:56Speaker 2: They're like, if we're doing this, even if it's a flyer, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 2: maybe we could get a steal here a seventh round
- 6:03Speaker 2: compensation supplemental draft. We're gonna get this guy who's got
- 6:08Speaker 2: the talent to maybe be a franchise guy one day.
- 6:11Speaker 2: They have to know there's a lot of baggage that
- 6:14Speaker 2: comes with that. Just making that one little decision, there's
- 6:18Speaker 2: a lot of baggage that comes with them. You're under
- 6:20Speaker 2: the microscope too. Every single thing you do, you're the
- 6:24Speaker 2: micro watch. And let's just say let's just let's just
- 6:31Speaker 2: pick a team. Let's just say the Ravens do it.
- 6:35Speaker 2: They got a new head coach, Lamar's this or that.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You know, is Lamar going to be there forever whatever?
- 6:42Speaker 2: The first time, first week of training camp, every time,
- 6:46Speaker 2: every one of their veterans that have played for ten
- 6:50Speaker 2: to fifteen years, the first question they're going to be
- 6:52Speaker 2: asking the microphones in front of their face, how do
- 6:54Speaker 2: you feel about Brndon Soresby being there? Yeah, and credits myself.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I called him Brendan, not Brent.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Good for you.
- 7:01Speaker 2: He throws a pick, people are gonna be like, was
- 7:02Speaker 2: that on purpose? He follow snap? I mean, seriously, this
- 7:05Speaker 2: guy cannot make a mistake.
- 7:07Speaker 3: He's a walking meme.
- 7:08Speaker 2: He is walking meme and it's just a distraction for everybody.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So if you're gonna make that pick in the supplemental
- 7:14Speaker 2: supplemental Draft, even even if you think it's a fly,
- 7:17Speaker 2: even like financially it's a great gamble, awesome gamble. Like
- 7:21Speaker 2: the payouts so big and you're knocking and you don't
- 7:23Speaker 2: have to lose much. It's a big distraction, big distraction
- 7:27Speaker 2: for everybody in that locker room, big distraction for your coaches,
- 7:29Speaker 2: big distraction for your PR department, everybody. Do you want
- 7:33Speaker 2: to think do you want to have that distraction on
- 7:34Speaker 2: the team. Most people are gonna say, now, you have
- 7:37Speaker 2: to be as that. I'd be shocked if the NFL
- 7:40Speaker 2: hasn't sent memos to teams, or at least maybe not
- 7:44Speaker 2: a memo, maybe nothing official with the logo on there,
- 7:47Speaker 2: but they've sent out there. They've sent out there. Ravens Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: to go speak.
- 7:52Speaker 4: We were kind of saying, hey, that's probably why he
- 7:54Speaker 4: hadn't entered the supplemental Draft by now, is that he
- 7:57Speaker 4: got bad news on that front, and then I guess
- 8:00Speaker 4: thought it was his only option. I don't think anyone's
- 8:03Speaker 4: gonna take him, Like Elandre just said, PR nightmare. Yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 4: absolutely In order to overcome that, you gotta be an
- 8:09Speaker 4: incredible talent, like I think.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Brendan Soarsby's good.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah, people on Big ESPN like you referred to it
- 8:15Speaker 4: as keep throwing around that Brendan Sorosby's a first round talent.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I disagree with that. I think Brendan Soarsby's good. I
- 8:22Speaker 4: don't know if he's that good, Like, you gotta be
- 8:24Speaker 4: otherworldly to overcome something like this, and I don't think
- 8:27Speaker 4: he's on that level.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Even if you were. The baggage that comes with betting
- 8:34Speaker 2: on your own team for the NFL, I don't care
- 8:37Speaker 2: who you are.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I don't think you can. Can you
- 8:41Speaker 5: sue the NFL for that? You know, like, I'm not
- 8:44Speaker 5: gonna put you on my team because you broke a
- 8:46Speaker 5: NFL rule because that's a rule in the NFL too.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Well, it's it, but I guess since we're gonna get
- 8:51Speaker 3: into it.
- 8:51Speaker 5: The agent basically was like, well, Cincinnati knew about this
- 8:55Speaker 5: the whole entire time and didn't say anything, and agent,
- 9:00Speaker 5: did you.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Not know about it too? I just everybody just needs
- 9:03Speaker 3: to stop talking.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Are you telling me that the agent didn't know as
- 9:06Speaker 5: well that his client had a gambling problem.
- 9:10Speaker 3: He didn't say anything.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Either, fairness, he probably didn't.
- 9:14Speaker 5: In every situation, Brendan Sowersby is trying to like not
- 9:18Speaker 5: take accountability for his actions. Any turn you take. Nobody
- 9:22Speaker 5: wants him to take it accountability.
- 9:23Speaker 4: That is such a funny thing for the agent to say.
- 9:26Speaker 4: He's like, guys, Cincinnati knew about this, and I know
- 9:28Speaker 4: that because I knew about it too.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I knew about it, sir.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Everybody needs to stop talking.
- 9:35Speaker 2: There's a there's a attorney client privilege with the with
- 9:40Speaker 2: the agent, guys, he didn't have to he can't say anything.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Even if he did know about he.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Couldn't say, but he couldn't encourage him.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Like in fairness, he probably didn't want a rehab. Probably
- 9:50Speaker 2: went his agent two years ago.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So why does Why did would the agent even care
- 9:54Speaker 4: if Cincinnati got in trouble or not? Like to a
- 9:56Speaker 4: longest point, like whether his client comment.
- 10:00Speaker 5: But also I feel like people dropped it after he
- 10:03Speaker 5: was like I'm going to the supplemental draft.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Everybody was ready to move on.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it was over.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Everybody was going to stop talking about Brendan Soresby. The
- 10:11Speaker 5: agent opened his big mouth again, and now everybody's talking
- 10:15Speaker 5: about it again.
- 10:15Speaker 2: You know what, It's kind of like Scores Earth probably
- 10:18Speaker 2: philosophy for them. He's like, man, Mike, my client. Brennan's
- 10:22Speaker 2: the only one getting in trouble, Like he's getting the
- 10:24Speaker 2: wrong end of the deal here and he's probably about
- 10:28Speaker 2: to get punished by the NFL and not get taken.
- 10:30Speaker 2: We're going to do this pro day at a high
- 10:31Speaker 2: school on July tenth. We'll see if anybody comes, maybe
- 10:35Speaker 2: represented from the Cowboys, since it's in the same city,
- 10:38Speaker 2: we'll show up. What doesn't he doing the pre day
- 10:40Speaker 2: in Texas Tech?
- 10:42Speaker 4: Aren't they about Aren't they all about supporting athletes?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Though?
- 10:45Speaker 4: And they wanted to say supporting life through this entire process.
- 10:48Speaker 4: The fact that he's not on the team anymore, he
- 10:50Speaker 4: has to do it somewhere.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Else, that's a good point. They're full of crap. Well,
- 10:55Speaker 2: do you know DFW Easier Airport?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 10:57Speaker 5: True, true, you're right, So now you're playing Devil's advocate
- 11:03Speaker 5: this entire time.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I'm here to support Brendan just like Texas Tech.
- 11:06Speaker 3: You know what you shoulder. We're awful people.
- 11:11Speaker 2: That's fine, help that he needs. He could have a problem,
- 11:16Speaker 2: or he could just love gambling.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I mean, who doesn't.
- 11:22Speaker 2: What point does it become a problem diagnosable? Right, how
- 11:27Speaker 2: do you decide that? I don't know. What point does
- 11:31Speaker 2: it get bottom? Or do you have to get Yeah?
- 11:35Speaker 4: Like, what point, as friend Chad gbt, at what point
- 11:38Speaker 4: does betting on sports become an addiction?
- 11:41Speaker 3: Usually Adam Sandler and Gems.
- 11:43Speaker 2: A lot of times I don't have seen that. Okay,
- 11:48Speaker 2: I'm moving on from that. I don't see it either.
- 11:51Speaker 2: A lot of times bottom does kind of line up.
- 11:55Speaker 2: The timeline lines up with when you got caught. Yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 2: so I don't know. We wish him well, but I
- 12:06Speaker 2: don't think. I don't think he's got a future in
- 12:10Speaker 2: the NFL.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Poor guy. I do feel bad for him.
- 12:12Speaker 2: But hey, how's everybody doing? We skipped that part, and
- 12:14Speaker 2: I don't want to skip that part because it's my
- 12:16Speaker 2: favorite part. Everybody good, Great, have a great day, Great morning Again?
- 12:21Speaker 2: You didn't know that there was a Tropics the first
- 12:24Speaker 2: name storm? Huh? She slept great then?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Well, but if it didn't hit, then it wouldn't have
- 12:29Speaker 3: woken me up. Anyway. I did sleep real good though.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I did a hot yoga class.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Well.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I lifted first, and then I did hot yoga. So
- 12:37Speaker 3: I slept real good.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Did you hydrate? I did important thing.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I did with my high obviously.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Jake got to see your sweatshop yesterday. That's right.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Jay came over after and he took me up on
- 12:54Speaker 2: my offer because he claimed that I forgot to bring
- 12:57Speaker 2: my high to it, right when clearly you forgot to
- 13:00Speaker 2: remind me to bring my high. Not my fault if
- 13:05Speaker 2: you don't follow up like with just like most guys,
- 13:08Speaker 2: if you don't give at least one to two follow
- 13:10Speaker 2: up texts, you can't expect us to come through.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Okay, that's the bar is in hell. The barye is
- 13:19Speaker 5: so low, it's in hell.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I've never heard that one. That's a good one. I
- 13:24Speaker 2: liked it. Yeah, So he came over and so we
- 13:27Speaker 2: left and in like people would be surprised, because Jake
- 13:31Speaker 2: was very surprised that I do have a real you know,
- 13:33Speaker 2: real business in a real company makes real things. That's right,
- 13:37Speaker 2: Luke work. So Jacob came to the factory yesterday. We
- 13:42Speaker 2: used to be in that factory in the trenches, in
- 13:45Speaker 2: the trenches. It's getting after it. It's a great place.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's a great little place. And uh, I want to
- 13:50Speaker 2: take it out. It's running, just running like a top
- 13:52Speaker 2: right now too. And Jake was like, oh, okay, I'll
- 13:56Speaker 2: make like real things. It's not like a wooden spoon
- 13:58Speaker 2: and a bucket situation of here. Yeah, he wants tatus
- 14:05Speaker 2: that type of deal. It wasn't like that, like.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I'm making kool aid or something.
- 14:11Speaker 2: That's right, the jungle juice and the Baptist juice. Uh
- 14:15Speaker 2: huh No, it's not like that real business. And he
- 14:18Speaker 2: was like, wow, people like work for you and stuff.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, you know, I only play an
- 14:23Speaker 2: idiot on radio. After that, we're good.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 2: So yeah, he texted John so yeah, he got his mind.
- 14:31Speaker 2: He was excited to we hooked him up.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Nice.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I forgot. I did forget to get another box for
- 14:36Speaker 2: a year, though.
- 14:37Speaker 5: I sometimes so I have one of those big boxes
- 14:40Speaker 5: still from uh like.
- 14:42Speaker 3: A while ago. And then well you stole it, No,
- 14:46Speaker 3: you gave it to me.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I just took it. And one day in one
- 14:52Speaker 5: of the Hoplies clauses, we were talking about electrolytes and
- 14:54Speaker 5: I was like, push, I gotta push it right. So
- 14:57Speaker 5: I was like, y'all gotta try my high you can
- 14:59Speaker 5: get it here here. I was literally like a market
- 15:01Speaker 5: marketing person for you. And then I had a bunch
- 15:04Speaker 5: of extra ones.
- 15:05Speaker 3: So I brought it.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Last night to Hot Yoga and I was like, y'all
- 15:08Speaker 5: try these nice Yeah, so you're welcome.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Hey we got promo. We got a little promo going
- 15:13Speaker 2: this week. So hey, if you're listening, you can text
- 15:17Speaker 2: the station H.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Two two five four five.
- 15:22Speaker 2: So what we're doing is we are giving away a
- 15:24Speaker 2: lot of to gym's this summer.
- 15:26Speaker 3: O fun.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're but we're giving away not to sell.
- 15:29Speaker 2: We're giving away to give, just give to your members.
- 15:32Speaker 2: If you're a gym owner, run a gym, or know somebody,
- 15:36Speaker 2: Texas Texas Studio will drop off a bunch of behind.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Do we want like a keyword on this or are
- 15:42Speaker 3: you just like texting.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Okay, just Texas just text dehydrated? How are we doing razort?
- 15:50Speaker 4: Well, So it's funny you say that we have our
- 15:53Speaker 4: final like big Doctor's appointment Ultra selld thing right after
- 15:58Speaker 4: the show today at eleven o'clock. This is what thirty
- 16:02Speaker 4: six weeks is thirty six weeks. It was thirty six
- 16:05Speaker 4: weeks yesterday, so it's we were getting there. It's it's
- 16:09Speaker 4: equally parts, like man, pretty much cooked, the bond is finished. Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 4: it uh, it's equally parts like exciting, And then I'll
- 16:19Speaker 4: sit there and I'm like, you know, I'm actually very
- 16:22Speaker 4: terrified about this entire process.
- 16:24Speaker 2: But now we're making that happen.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Like today is the day where you have to like
- 16:28Speaker 4: finalize pediatrician. You have to go get your final ultrasound
- 16:32Speaker 4: and everything. So it's a big one, like this was.
- 16:34Speaker 4: This one's gonna take over an hour, so it's a
- 16:36Speaker 4: it's a big appointment, probably the final one, I guess
- 16:39Speaker 4: until D day.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So for when we had these moments and these like
- 16:45Speaker 2: every ultrasound and stuff after a certain amount of time,
- 16:48Speaker 2: so we didn't find out gender till the moment. Oh
- 16:53Speaker 2: y'all wait, so we went by all three. Yeah, like
- 16:56Speaker 2: we we just we were like, man, there's not a
- 16:58Speaker 2: lot of surprises less and like what you get to start, like,
- 17:00Speaker 2: let's let's do that. It was fun for us. It
- 17:03Speaker 2: was hard because when we go to ultrasounds, like you
- 17:06Speaker 2: had to go in there with your your fists up,
- 17:07Speaker 2: like right, like, hey, tell every person, we don't want
- 17:10Speaker 2: to know. We don't to the machine exactly because you
- 17:13Speaker 2: have to remind every single person there every single time,
- 17:18Speaker 2: because I think it's just such commonplace that everybody kind
- 17:21Speaker 2: of knows. But it's like you have those ultrasounds and
- 17:25Speaker 2: they're like, Okay, now you got to close your eyes
- 17:28Speaker 2: for like the next two minutes because I gotta do
- 17:31Speaker 2: some I gotta do some checks and stuff from the
- 17:33Speaker 2: down there region, you know what I mean. So that
- 17:38Speaker 2: was that that was tough, but like you go in
- 17:40Speaker 2: there and I can imagine maybe it'd be fun to
- 17:44Speaker 2: know beforehand, but the surprise.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Was all we wanted to find out. So it's the
- 17:52Speaker 4: first grand kid on my parents side. Her parents have grandkids,
- 17:57Speaker 4: but they live in Texas, so it's kind of like
- 17:59Speaker 4: kind of the facto, like first grandkid on both side
- 18:03Speaker 4: that they'll actually be able to like see day in
- 18:05Speaker 4: and day out. So they wanted to know quickly, like
- 18:07Speaker 4: I remember, you do, like the little blood test or
- 18:11Speaker 4: whatever it was that she had to do.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 18:13Speaker 4: I don't even think I was in the room. And
- 18:15Speaker 4: like three weeks later, they'll send you, like, you know, email,
- 18:19Speaker 4: click here tells you the results and everything, and you know,
- 18:23Speaker 4: we got it. So I called my dad. I was like,
- 18:25Speaker 4: hey's mom, there because I was just gonna tell him.
- 18:26Speaker 4: At the same time He's like no. I was like, okay, well,
- 18:29Speaker 4: you know, we're having a boy, and he goes, okay,
- 18:31Speaker 4: i'll let your mom know that you know, but I
- 18:33Speaker 4: won't tell her.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I'll let you tell. I said, okay, great.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Two minutes later, I get a phone call back and
- 18:39Speaker 4: I say, hey, what's up.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And my Mom's like, don't what's up me? You told
- 18:42Speaker 2: me right now? And I was like, okay, well yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 2: so I don't want to be behind the baby. Yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and then she pulls the I was like, we're having
- 18:50Speaker 2: a boy.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I knew it.
- 18:51Speaker 4: I'm like, no, you never said that. You can't say
- 18:54Speaker 4: that after the fact. I felt it, right, So, no,
- 18:57Speaker 4: they were excited. We would not have been able to wait.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Well, you most people, fifty percent of the people that
- 19:03Speaker 2: are guessing felt it because you know, it's one of
- 19:06Speaker 2: one of two, one of two different things. So odds
- 19:09Speaker 2: are pretty good. Okay, so you haven't told us. I know,
- 19:15Speaker 2: we got a good break. But before we get to
- 19:17Speaker 2: the segment two, we're gonna call them razor. Ok have
- 19:21Speaker 2: you shared with us what well the burthen I shared
- 19:25Speaker 2: it on air, but we could just do it now,
- 19:27Speaker 2: Gryffin Malone, Griffin Razor Malone. Yep, incredible. It's gonna look
- 19:32Speaker 2: good on a It's gonna look really good on the person.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Weren't sure about a middle name.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I don't like Malone, that's my middle name, but I
- 19:38Speaker 4: was like it kind of flows together. We didn't really
- 19:40Speaker 4: have like a what we were attached to, so we
- 19:42Speaker 4: just rolled with that. Get that father son connection there
- 19:45Speaker 4: with the name.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I like it. So is Razor gonna be just r
- 19:49Speaker 2: z r or you can put the A in there. I
- 19:52Speaker 2: would do r A z or right, Okay, guess all right?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Love it? All right? Well we got a great show.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Well are you laughing at the You can't laugh at that.
- 20:01Speaker 2: It's gonna be a fantastic show with the authors. Jake
- 20:04Speaker 2: is at the nine New World Series tournament this weekend,
- 20:09Speaker 2: so he will. You'll be riding with a tripod today tomorrow.
- 20:14Speaker 2: We also got Lady Caine here with a scarf finally
- 20:17Speaker 2: adjusted the right way. Landon Donovan's also in studio with
- 20:20Speaker 2: us all three hours both days. He's not gonna say
- 20:23Speaker 2: a lot. He got his mic privileges cut off because
- 20:27Speaker 2: all those crazy things he was saying off air. So
- 20:30Speaker 2: we just cut his so he'll be here with us,
- 20:32Speaker 2: but he'll be here in spirit. So stick with us
- 20:35Speaker 2: right here, off the.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Bench, off the bench, all right.
- 20:39Speaker 2: If you want to work with a bank that does
- 20:41Speaker 2: business the right way, it's a local way. Well, something
- 20:45Speaker 2: to find the First American Bank and Trust. We got
- 20:47Speaker 2: the privilege of going there about a month ago for
- 20:49Speaker 2: their flag American flag giveaway promotion that they were doing
- 20:53Speaker 2: giving away. I think they gave five hundred American flags away.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I got to meet the great people over there at
- 20:59Speaker 2: First American Bank and Trust, shake their hand and look
- 21:01Speaker 2: him in the eye. Just see how awesome of people
- 21:06Speaker 2: they were and how much they You know, they live
- 21:08Speaker 2: right here in your community. And it's the decision makers
- 21:10Speaker 2: as well. So if you are looking at getting a
- 21:14Speaker 2: business loan, a commercial loan, if you're starting business, you
- 21:16Speaker 2: need a little bit more capital, a little bit more
- 21:19Speaker 2: runway for your business, or maybe your family's growing, you
- 21:21Speaker 2: need a bigger house and you need to need a
- 21:24Speaker 2: need a mortgage, or maybe you need a refinance that mortgage. Well,
- 21:27Speaker 2: make sure that if you're doing something here in Louisiana
- 21:29Speaker 2: that you're having people that are in Louisian making those decisions,
- 21:32Speaker 2: not someone in New York City. So whatever it is,
- 21:34Speaker 2: they have all the bills and whistles the big banks
- 21:36Speaker 2: day or right here in your community fabt dot.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Com, Tiger's turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 22:09Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in off the edge the tripod
- 22:12Speaker 2: rolling with you all Thursday morning. We be about to
- 22:17Speaker 2: get into a little crewtin top before we do, want
- 22:22Speaker 2: to tell you bet our friends over at katy Z
- 22:23Speaker 2: katy Z Interiors and Outdoor Living. You know how like
- 22:28Speaker 2: in the big Lebowski rug really ties the room together. Well,
- 22:34Speaker 2: window coverings really tie the room together if you want to,
- 22:36Speaker 2: if you really want to be honest with yourself, it's curtains, drapes, blindes, shutters.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Make your house look better, make your house feel better,
- 22:45Speaker 2: a little bit more cozy, but also make it more efficient.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Keep that uh, keep that cool air inside the house,
- 22:51Speaker 2: block that sun a little bit, make those energy bills
- 22:54Speaker 2: a little bit lower every single every single month. Over there,
- 22:58Speaker 2: katy Zy and Tiers and Outdoor Living go to their
- 22:59Speaker 2: way psych chitzy blinds like coming can see everything that
- 23:01Speaker 2: they do. Brandon Barton and his team, they have been
- 23:04Speaker 2: doing it. A long, long time, and they're going to
- 23:07Speaker 2: know your house better than you. They'll go in there,
- 23:08Speaker 2: give you a consultation, tell you about everything they can do.
- 23:12Speaker 2: If you want to manly manually open those blinds, raise
- 23:15Speaker 2: them up, or you can just push a button. Goes
- 23:18Speaker 2: up and down to pushing a button. Make your life
- 23:20Speaker 2: a little bit easier, make your house a little bit better.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Spend a little bit less every single month on those
- 23:26Speaker 2: bills over there, kt Z Interiors and Outdoor Living katy
- 23:28Speaker 2: Zy Blinds dot Com. All right, you know in Friday
- 23:33Speaker 2: night Lights when they say if you want to win,
- 23:35Speaker 2: let Booby spin, sometimes you gotta let Taylor spin. When
- 23:40Speaker 2: we're talking about recruiting, nobody knows these high school kids
- 23:44Speaker 2: better than Taylor's sharp right over there, loves high school
- 23:48Speaker 2: kids always as thanks guys, Hey, you're welcome. So all right,
- 23:55Speaker 2: lsu on an absolute tear right now on the high
- 23:59Speaker 2: school recruiting line. I think we went from something like
- 24:03Speaker 2: the last forty eight hours or something, went from like
- 24:06Speaker 2: fiftieth ranked recruiting class in commitments all the way to
- 24:09Speaker 2: like fifteen or something on two four seven. Uh so,
- 24:13Speaker 2: just absolutely picking up commitments, trying to put that fence
- 24:16Speaker 2: that wall around the state of Louisiana right now, Taylor,
- 24:20Speaker 2: But we got a couple of new ones, a couple
- 24:22Speaker 2: of new command I think three commitments in the last
- 24:24Speaker 2: twenty four hours.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Four.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so we'll shut up. We'll get to the last one.
- 24:28Speaker 4: You and I did not to not talk about that yet,
- 24:30Speaker 4: but yeah, so we'll go back to Tuesday night when
- 24:32Speaker 4: you added LSU running back commit Trace Cigara David Sigar
- 24:36Speaker 4: the third, but goes by tre five to ten, two
- 24:39Speaker 4: hundred and ten pounds, so already great size ran from
- 24:42Speaker 4: was fifteen hundred yards seventeen touchdowns last year.
- 24:44Speaker 2: How about this match? Headed the last running back then
- 24:46Speaker 2: commit to us?
- 24:47Speaker 4: All right, Nope, not even not even in the last forty
- 24:50Speaker 4: eight hours.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Uh.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Cigara eight point four yards per Carrie is a junior,
- 24:55Speaker 4: which is really really good. Also to bed Jacob Pestl,
- 24:59Speaker 4: who's not here, Cigar is also an all state soccer
- 25:01Speaker 4: player for his high school.
- 25:02Speaker 2: So Jake would be all over that.
- 25:05Speaker 4: And you mentioned is that the only running back we
- 25:06Speaker 4: got no trade Martin one of the top running backs
- 25:09Speaker 4: of the State of Louisiana for twenty twenty seven, Top
- 25:12Speaker 4: ten running back of the Country by Rivals, number seven
- 25:15Speaker 4: player in the state. He's over six feet tall, already
- 25:18Speaker 4: over two hundred pounds. He's a physical runner that gives
- 25:21Speaker 4: LSU three running back commits because you remember last week,
- 25:24Speaker 4: three star Brennan Lazy gave his pledge to the Tigers.
- 25:27Speaker 4: So that's three running backs for twenty twenty seven.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That's let me stop you there before you head to
- 25:34Speaker 2: the next one. Because three running backs committed, which is
- 25:39Speaker 2: shows It tells you a couple of things. You can
- 25:41Speaker 2: take a look inside Lane Kiffin's mind about way he
- 25:45Speaker 2: likes to operate his offense, the importance that they put
- 25:48Speaker 2: on the running back position, certainly because it's a running
- 25:52Speaker 2: back position as and certainly it would be great if
- 25:54Speaker 2: Jake was here to talk about this because for a
- 25:56Speaker 2: long time is a little bit of an afterthought to
- 25:59Speaker 2: an offense. Well, this is on the fourth thought. There
- 26:02Speaker 2: are going after these running backs, are going after them hard.
- 26:04Speaker 2: And when running back Trey Martin committed that was yesterday, right,
- 26:10Speaker 2: I mean he becomes a fifth in state commitment for
- 26:13Speaker 2: this class of twenty twenty seven, which is a fanily. Again,
- 26:16Speaker 2: that's that you're seeing the benefit of Coacho being added
- 26:20Speaker 2: to the staff and putting like literally trying to put
- 26:23Speaker 2: a fence in a wall around the state of Louisiana.
- 26:26Speaker 2: And that with that commitment. So LSU now has the
- 26:30Speaker 2: third ranked player in Louisiana committed, the fifth, the sixth,
- 26:34Speaker 2: the seventh, and the twelfth ranked player in Louisiana committed.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So as they continue to put that wall, and I
- 26:40Speaker 2: know that the the receiver number two ranked blank AM
- 26:47Speaker 2: number Yeah, Eastern Royal. He also made some comments about saying,
- 26:52Speaker 2: I know he's committed to Texas. People think he's going
- 26:55Speaker 2: to flip. Yeah, he is saying that it's tighter than
- 26:57Speaker 2: ever right now. So well, see what happens there. And
- 27:00Speaker 2: then number one player Elijah of course is committed to
- 27:04Speaker 2: committed Alabama. So that's that's that's not going to happen.
- 27:07Speaker 2: But you know, you're you're looking at securing all of
- 27:10Speaker 2: the top talent in Louisiana for this class, which is
- 27:14Speaker 2: which is exactly what you gotta do, what you should
- 27:16Speaker 2: be doing, and that's the number one goal of Lane
- 27:18Speaker 2: Kevin and the staff.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Well, and your question should be with all these running backs,
- 27:22Speaker 4: how many are going to be retained from this current roster,
- 27:24Speaker 4: because like You're obviously gonna win Harlan Barry back nixt
- 27:27Speaker 4: year as a junior. The staff appears to love Dylan Jones.
- 27:30Speaker 4: If everything in the spring holds, you'll have Durham, he'll
- 27:33Speaker 4: be entering his senior year. What if he falls back
- 27:35Speaker 4: to RB three? Does he move on? And then all
- 27:38Speaker 4: the guys you added, Rob Gainey Racing and Gillery Stacey Gage, Like,
- 27:41Speaker 4: do those guys stick around or are they replaced by
- 27:44Speaker 4: these high school guys? But switching over to the defensive side,
- 27:48Speaker 4: you got a big one yesterday, five star defensive end
- 27:50Speaker 4: Chris Whitehead out of this yep five. No word yet
- 27:54Speaker 4: on if there's a plus, we'll see uh six four
- 27:57Speaker 4: and thirty pounds, number thirty one play overall in the nation,
- 28:01Speaker 4: fourth best defensive end.
- 28:03Speaker 2: He committed.
- 28:04Speaker 4: And then last night his younger brother, Isaiah Whitehead, for
- 28:08Speaker 4: the twenty twenty eight class offensive linemen, gave his pledge
- 28:12Speaker 4: to LSU. So it's one of those things where it's like,
- 28:14Speaker 4: if you can land Chris Whitehead when all of this
- 28:17Speaker 4: is said and done, you kind of gotta feel good
- 28:18Speaker 4: about landing his brother in the next class as well.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Like you always like to see those package deals because
- 28:23Speaker 4: I mean it's kind of a two for one and
- 28:25Speaker 4: I get it twenty twenty eight, way far away. But
- 28:28Speaker 4: he's six to four, he's three hundred and twenty five
- 28:30Speaker 4: pounds going into his junior season. Top thirty offensive lineman
- 28:36Speaker 4: for that twenty twenty eight class, So like, that's a
- 28:37Speaker 4: guy that's only getting better. Right now, he's a three star,
- 28:39Speaker 4: but he still got another two years left to go.
- 28:42Speaker 2: So we'll see what happens there. Interesting twenty twenty eight
- 28:46Speaker 2: offensive lineman. So we talked about the offensive lineman's ever
- 28:48Speaker 2: committed yesterday. The big Boys sixty six sixty seven guys,
- 28:51Speaker 2: how they will sign in twenty twenty seven, They probably
- 28:56Speaker 2: will not impact give an impact on the field until
- 28:59Speaker 2: twenty two to thirty, twenty thirty. That doesn't sound I
- 29:04Speaker 2: didn't roll off the tongue real well, But it's going
- 29:06Speaker 2: to be a handful of years or a few years
- 29:09Speaker 2: before any offensive lineman that you get committed impacts, and
- 29:12Speaker 2: certainly one that's not committed that'll be a junior this
- 29:15Speaker 2: year in high school. But three running backs running backs
- 29:19Speaker 2: is obviously we all know. We saw Katon Durham, we
- 29:22Speaker 2: saw Harlan Berry, we all know that running back and
- 29:25Speaker 2: more the skill position can impact you very early in
- 29:29Speaker 2: their in their playing career in college. So those are
- 29:33Speaker 2: really intriguing to me. It's three commitments. We gotta gotta
- 29:37Speaker 2: remember that as fans, we do have to pump the
- 29:39Speaker 2: brakes on the excitement level sometimes three commitments. Do all
- 29:44Speaker 2: of those running backs, these highly touted guys recruited by everybody,
- 29:51Speaker 2: do they stay? Do they stick with their commitments? Because
- 29:54Speaker 2: commitments are on we see them, We see people breaking
- 29:56Speaker 2: all the time. At LSU, we want to break other
- 29:59Speaker 2: people's commitments so schools and get them to sign here.
- 30:01Speaker 2: So with three do they think that's a little bit
- 30:05Speaker 2: too crowded? Once the signing day comes and you know,
- 30:08Speaker 2: then you got to kind of think about the nil
- 30:09Speaker 2: packages and the money packages that you're you're having to
- 30:12Speaker 2: give to these kids, Like do they all get paid
- 30:15Speaker 2: the same? Is there one guy that's getting gonna be
- 30:17Speaker 2: guaranteed a little bit less and another school can kind
- 30:20Speaker 2: of swoop in and offer more. So super intriguing, but
- 30:24Speaker 2: a lot of positivity and a lot of momentum right
- 30:27Speaker 2: now for LSU. It seems like when they start posting
- 30:30Speaker 2: these pictures of the recruits in Tiger Stadium in full
- 30:32Speaker 2: uniform with the purple and yellow led lights and everything.
- 30:36Speaker 2: You see the posts from from the weekend trips. It
- 30:40Speaker 2: always seems in the last couple of weeks at least
- 30:42Speaker 2: since Coach O has been here. Those commitments come really
- 30:46Speaker 2: soon after that. So obviously they're doing something right when
- 30:49Speaker 2: those visits are here. And I think a lot of
- 30:51Speaker 2: these commitments kind of came out of the blue as well,
- 30:53Speaker 2: maybe not maybe guys that weren't necessarily like hits between
- 30:58Speaker 2: LSU and Texas or whatever, like guys that are seemingly
- 31:01Speaker 2: kind of coming out of nowhere and making commitments. So
- 31:03Speaker 2: a lot of momentum right now, and I would expect
- 31:06Speaker 2: that to continue. So go Lane, Go coach Oe, Go America,
- 31:13Speaker 2: and go Tigers. Why are you laughing? Why do you
- 31:17Speaker 2: laugh at Taylor? Hell? Yeah, brother Tayler laughs. Every time
- 31:21Speaker 2: we say go America. It's almost not be further from
- 31:24Speaker 2: the truth, it's almost embarrassing. All right, Well, we're gonna
- 31:29Speaker 2: come back and we'll we'll keep talking about little LSU football.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin makes some comments, some comments that you can
- 31:38Speaker 2: kind of inject straight into my veins. What did you say?
- 31:42Speaker 3: I said, that's kind of scary.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Well sometimes yeah, but not this time. These are comments
- 31:48Speaker 2: that you can inject straight into my veins. Figure out
- 31:51Speaker 2: what that is when we come back right here and
- 31:52Speaker 2: off the bench, Off the bench, all right. Time to
- 31:56Speaker 2: take out the trash. So if you're going to do that,
- 32:01Speaker 2: go to trash rangers dot com the best trash removal,
- 32:03Speaker 2: most reliable trash removal, trash pickup service and also waste remove.
- 32:07Speaker 2: We're talking about portable toilets, trash Rangers sanitation apartment. If
- 32:11Speaker 2: you have a construction company, if you have a job
- 32:14Speaker 2: that's outside and well, you want to work with a
- 32:17Speaker 2: local company that can get those portable toilets, get them removed,
- 32:23Speaker 2: get them dump, get them everything, get them brought to you.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Don't work with those national campies. Work with someone local.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Has trash rangers dot com. Go to their website. Check
- 32:30Speaker 2: out everything they do in their sanitation department. But the
- 32:33Speaker 2: trash pickup as well commercial residential. I forgot to take
- 32:35Speaker 2: out the trash yesterday. You know why, because I'm not
- 32:39Speaker 2: one of the lucky ones and the fortunate ones that
- 32:41Speaker 2: has that residential service for trash Rangers, and I forgot.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I don't get text reminders, but trash Rangers does send
- 32:46Speaker 2: you text reminders the night before, so you don't get
- 32:48Speaker 2: put in the donkhouse for forgetting. I had to drive around,
- 32:51Speaker 2: I had to go throw it in my dumps throughout
- 32:52Speaker 2: my factory. Don't do that. Save yourself. Trash rangers dot Com.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven. Champs, Purple and Gold to the Core.
- 33:13Speaker 1: This is Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn Baton,

- 33:42Speaker 2: I think it's the first time since I've been on
- 33:43Speaker 2: the AID that you've played this song. Yeah, maybe, yeah, maybe.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I don't remember every song I've ever played.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't lose comment for sure. Could be maybe not.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well apparently lank Keivendon think we can lose either. What
- 34:03Speaker 2: uh huh Yeah. Lank Kevin joined at Tyron Matthew yesterday
- 34:08Speaker 2: on Tyron's podcast in the by you what's the what's
- 34:13Speaker 2: the the room? Is there a room named after Tyron
- 34:17Speaker 2: at the y at the Football Buildings because the building? Yeah, yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 2: for sure. I think it's like a player lounge or whatever.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Uh it's but it looked like they had their podcast
- 34:27Speaker 2: from that lounge or wherever that room was and said
- 34:33Speaker 2: a lot of very interesting things, but one that like
- 34:35Speaker 2: stuck out that as an L s U fan, should
- 34:39Speaker 2: get you pretty jacked up.
- 34:41Speaker 6: I don't know how fast it's gonna happen. We're gonnain
- 34:43Speaker 6: a natal championship. We're gonna have the teams and the
- 34:45Speaker 6: rosters back to the way that they were playing when
- 34:47Speaker 6: they were great. I don't know how fast that might
- 34:49Speaker 6: not be today, but it's gonna happen. And I feel
- 34:52Speaker 6: it in recruiting too, when these kids come in here
- 34:54Speaker 6: and now that we got our staff fully here and
- 34:56Speaker 6: we know how to sell L s U Tube, because
- 34:58Speaker 6: now we're meeting up people and notic restaurants in the areas,
- 35:01Speaker 6: and the people like it's one to one what Nick
- 35:03Speaker 6: Saban said, it's the best job in America.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I know that Lane has, you know, kind of been
- 35:12Speaker 2: known in his past to you know, skip around, move
- 35:16Speaker 2: jobs quite a bit, quite frequently, a lot of times
- 35:20Speaker 2: on his own volition, sometimes other people. But it certainly
- 35:25Speaker 2: feels like this is, at least for what it feels
- 35:31Speaker 2: like and looks like this is kind of a pinnacle
- 35:33Speaker 2: for him, Like this is like the hopefully the what
- 35:36Speaker 2: he would like to be the final stop or the
- 35:39Speaker 2: last stop in for him. Now he has to do
- 35:42Speaker 2: a lot. There's a lot of expectations. But to say
- 35:45Speaker 2: things like this, I don't to call your shot and
- 35:49Speaker 2: say we are going to win a national chair And
- 35:51Speaker 2: of course that's the expectation, like we all expect that,
- 35:54Speaker 2: like you're getting the money, you have the money at
- 35:56Speaker 2: your at your disposal to spend on other people. You're
- 35:59Speaker 2: getting paid a lot of like you have everything. So
- 36:01Speaker 2: that's the expectation that we all talk about that I'm
- 36:05Speaker 2: sure LSU front office talks about, but to actually hear
- 36:09Speaker 2: it come from the head coach in the confidence level
- 36:15Speaker 2: and not to say like the expectation is to one
- 36:18Speaker 2: like that's one thing to say the expectation here is
- 36:20Speaker 2: the national championship, but to say we are going to
- 36:23Speaker 2: win it at some point and it might not come today,
- 36:27Speaker 2: which you know, why not?
- 36:30Speaker 3: Why not?
- 36:31Speaker 2: Why not today?
- 36:34Speaker 3: Churt Signetti did it in two years in Indiana.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and the worst football historically, the worst D one
- 36:40Speaker 2: program in history of college football, right did at very fast.
- 36:45Speaker 2: So excuses are kind of out the window. Now, that
- 36:47Speaker 2: is an outlier, Like you can't expect every you can't
- 36:50Speaker 2: grade everybody on Signetti's success. True, like it's probably replicable,
- 36:56Speaker 2: Like that's that's a hard thing to do. There's a
- 36:59Speaker 2: lot of there's a lot that there's a lot of luck,
- 37:01Speaker 2: there's a lot of skill, there's a lot of time,
- 37:02Speaker 2: and there's a lot of a lot of things happening
- 37:05Speaker 2: perfectly for that to happen. So no one should be
- 37:08Speaker 2: judged because Signetti had success that fast and turned something
- 37:12Speaker 2: around that fast. But this is this is lsu like
- 37:16Speaker 2: he feels the momentum. He feels like this is why
- 37:20Speaker 2: he came here for the success they're having off the field.
- 37:23Speaker 2: So we are going to well what I don't know,
- 37:27Speaker 2: what's the June eighteenth, a little over two months, two
- 37:31Speaker 2: and a half months, we finally get to take the
- 37:33Speaker 2: field and I can't wait. But his expectations, it's not
- 37:36Speaker 2: the expectation. But he's telling you we are going to
- 37:38Speaker 2: do it. I don't know how long it's going to take,
- 37:41Speaker 2: but that sounds like a man that wants to be
- 37:43Speaker 2: here for a long time, and that has been the concern. Well, oh,
- 37:46Speaker 2: miss was like, oh yeah, fun take him. He's going
- 37:48Speaker 2: to be gone in three years. Anyway, he'll just go
- 37:50Speaker 2: take another job. Well, I don't know if in his
- 37:53Speaker 2: mind and his heart and his soul there's another job
- 37:57Speaker 2: that's better than this.
- 37:58Speaker 4: Well even told me it's the best job in America,
- 38:01Speaker 4: and I agree, and in the Cup we just played.
- 38:04Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean, if he thinks this is the
- 38:06Speaker 4: best job in America. To your point, where's he gonna
- 38:08Speaker 4: go if it's better, Where's he gonna go where he
- 38:10Speaker 4: has the best opportunity? Yea, they could try the NFL again,
- 38:13Speaker 4: But like as far as college goes, this is it.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I think historically speaking, when people when when college
- 38:23Speaker 2: coaches try the NFL and then they go back to college,
- 38:26Speaker 2: they don't really ever try it again. They usually realize
- 38:30Speaker 2: pretty quick that, oh yeah, I'm way more suited to
- 38:34Speaker 2: be a college coach. And that's probably the case here.
- 38:40Speaker 2: So it sounds like it seems like if there's success,
- 38:43Speaker 2: that if Lane Kiffen ever was to leave LSU, it
- 38:47Speaker 2: wouldn't be on his own choice. They would just be
- 38:51Speaker 2: because the lack of success. Just like every other I've bean,
- 38:53Speaker 2: the college coaching jobs are are hard to get and
- 38:56Speaker 2: they're even harder to maintain. So, but he's gonna have
- 39:00Speaker 2: every opportunity here and he's calling a shot and I
- 39:02Speaker 2: love it. Injected straight into my veins, the head coach
- 39:05Speaker 2: for your LSU Tigers saying we will win a national
- 39:08Speaker 2: championship and odds are he's right. Three of the last
- 39:12Speaker 2: four did it. The only one that didn't do it
- 39:16Speaker 2: was the most highly talented head coach that coming into LSU.
- 39:20Speaker 2: At least, he's not the best on me. Obviously Saban
- 39:23Speaker 2: came here, he wasn't. He wasn't the Nick Saban that
- 39:27Speaker 2: we know now when he came to l SU, like
- 39:29Speaker 2: Brian Kelly, had the resume, the best resume, had resume
- 39:33Speaker 2: head coach is the only one in the last four
- 39:35Speaker 2: year or four head coaches that didn't want it. So
- 39:40Speaker 2: I loved hearing this. Did y'all get any feelings from it?
- 39:45Speaker 2: Did y'all listen to the rest of the interview? I
- 39:49Speaker 2: heard bits and pieces I didn't. I mean I didn't listen,
- 39:52Speaker 2: you know and Rod Altra, But I'll tell you did
- 39:55Speaker 2: Musso did for sure. This cliff list of the that's
- 40:00Speaker 2: an interview, my god, very detailed.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Would you like another one?
- 40:08Speaker 2: Yeah, play one, Let's pick one like pick one of
- 40:10Speaker 2: the thirteen. Okay, he's doing well.
- 40:12Speaker 6: You know he's there now and pretty much full strength now,
- 40:15Speaker 6: really good arm, really smart. I mean he's in there
- 40:19Speaker 6: just grinding all the time on stuff NFL mindset quarterback
- 40:23Speaker 6: from preparation standpoint. Now, we just got to put everything
- 40:26Speaker 6: together in year one a little bit late because now
- 40:28Speaker 6: he's just finally clear now and a lot of new
- 40:31Speaker 6: pieces around. So it's gonna be a big summer in
- 40:34Speaker 6: fall camp.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Fully healthy. I think we've kind of seen that riding
- 40:41Speaker 2: on the wall a little bit. Take your time with
- 40:44Speaker 2: him in spring. I got the pins out. I know
- 40:46Speaker 2: all that, we've seen the clips. We joke about the
- 40:49Speaker 2: slam duncan and all that stuff, But what twenty one
- 40:52Speaker 2: miles per hour he was clocked at on the little
- 40:54Speaker 2: GPS thing that they wear on their on their shirts.
- 40:59Speaker 2: So a fully healthy Sam Levitt and a Lane kiven
- 41:02Speaker 2: offense I think is going to be absolutely dynamic and
- 41:06Speaker 2: I can't wait to see it. Like it's you know,
- 41:08Speaker 2: predictions on how well is anybody's guests. You got to
- 41:11Speaker 2: go back and look at his Arizona State tape from
- 41:16Speaker 2: two years ago to do that. But if he can
- 41:19Speaker 2: do it with someone from Ferris. Why can't he do
- 41:23Speaker 2: it with a guy that's already one of the top
- 41:24Speaker 2: quarterbacks in big time college football. Going in so excited
- 41:28Speaker 2: for that, excited to see what Lane Keiven and company
- 41:30Speaker 2: can do. They're gonna have the talent, man, they are
- 41:32Speaker 2: going to the talent. They've brought it in, they've maintained it,
- 41:37Speaker 2: so I'm fired up to see. I would fully expect
- 41:39Speaker 2: to at least be in the conversation. I'm not gonna
- 41:43Speaker 2: call my shot on anything and to I'll at least
- 41:44Speaker 2: go see a practice with Sam Levitt, But I would expect,
- 41:47Speaker 2: just based on the history of what way I've seen
- 41:50Speaker 2: him play, his style of play, and Lane Kiff's success
- 41:52Speaker 2: on the field day, He's at least going to be
- 41:54Speaker 2: in some sort of conversation at some point in the season.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I've headed to New York. We will see, all right,
- 42:00Speaker 2: We're gonna take you right there. Before we do, want

- 43:47Speaker 2: Well, I saw yesterday that Alex Pereira is appealing his fight.
- 43:57Speaker 2: He from the White House, Yes, ser carnweight champion. Huh,
- 44:02Speaker 2: zero game, zero game. I almost had it. Yeah, he's
- 44:06Speaker 2: appealing it, saying there was a lot of illegal punches
- 44:10Speaker 2: and hits, elbows to the back of the head.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I don't love that. Yeah, it's a little bit of Perio,
- 44:16Speaker 3: but I don't love.
- 44:16Speaker 2: That realistically going to do yeah, yeah, and somebody did
- 44:20Speaker 2: clip it and went through all the punches and I
- 44:23Speaker 2: think like two of the like a billion that were
- 44:25Speaker 2: landed on him at the end were illegal, but like
- 44:28Speaker 2: it kind of happens. But his camp did say that
- 44:31Speaker 2: Herb Dean will never ref for him again. M hm.
- 44:35Speaker 2: He's not salty at all. Kind of a week he was.
- 44:39Speaker 2: He was going for the first person to win three
- 44:41Speaker 2: belts in three different weight classes. Incredible fighter. But it's
- 44:45Speaker 2: a little bit of a beta move here about it.
- 44:47Speaker 3: I know I love Perero, but I don't like that.
