Mother Charged After Kids Found Alone in Fire | Charleston News
Three toddlers, ages six, four, and two, were rescued from a house fire in Columbia with severe burns and are now in critical condition. No adults were inside when firefighters arrived at 9:30 PM, forcing entry through smoke-filled rooms. The mother, 28-year-old Zana Oden, was found nearby and allegedly tried to flee. Authorities are investigating the fire’s cause, the home’s hazardous conditions, and the whereabouts of all caregivers—including the biological father of one child.
