- TB: Sydney. Sydney: Death. TB: I know your love for Randy Orton is strong. So, in honor of your favorite wrestler, I have a random question out of nowhere. Are you ready? You have to pick one of these two options and one only. So, first option, option A. The Buffalo Bills win the Super Bowl this year, but the day after the Super Bowl, Josh Allen announces his retirement and never plays another game. Sydney: no. I'm ready. A TB: Or he plays for the next 10 years and we never get to the Super Bowl. Which are you picking? Sydney: Optione TB: without a doubt. Sydney: Option A, a hundred percent. If he goes and wins a Super Bowl this year, he can retire. He can retire happy. The entire city of Buffalo will be happy. If he plays for the next ten years and never wins a Super Bowl, I think even him himself would say, I don't believe that my career was as successful as I had imagined if I didn't win the Super Bowl. So I think even Josh Allen himself would pick option A. TB: And would you be sad the day after the Super Bowl, knowing he was going to retire? Sydney: I mean of course, but we have a Super Bowl and we don't have a Super Bowl. I get clowned on because I'm a Bills fan and we don't have a Super Bowl. So that's the epitome of success, right? Is a Super Bowl. That's what everyone says. So if we win a Su like I said, I feel like Josh himself would have the same answer. TB: Mm-hmm. I love your answer. I actually agree with you. I didn't know you were going to pick that answer so adamantly, so strongly. I mean, being way older than you, I would go Super Bowl every time, 10 out of 10, no questions asked. I thought maybe because you were a lot younger than me, you would have gone with, yeah, but Josh Allen is so awesome. I want to see him play another 10 years. So I totally get that. to me. He is the greatest player I've ever seen play. He is the most exciting player I've ever seen play. I love him. He's my favorite player of all time. And this is being a Bills fan for 40 years. But if I had the choice of we win the Super Bowl and he retires the next day, or I get to see him play for the next 10 years, I'm taking the Super Bowl all day, every day. Congrats. You passed your very first random question out of nowhere. Let's start the show. Sydney: Let's go. TB: All right, what is up, people? We are back with another episode. I'm your host, TB, and the co-host Sydney is back week two, episode two. She decided to get back right here with us. So I am awesome that it is, or she's awesome. I'm not awesome. She's awesome. It's awesome that she's here, and I'm super excited that we are back and better than we were two weeks ago. So, how are you feeling this week? Sydney: I'm feeling good. You didn't scare me away yet. So I'm here, back again, better than ever, ready to go. So let's go. TB: And I didn't scare you away with the random Randy Orton question out of nowhere. Sydney: Nope. Anytime Randy Orton's in the sense, I'm ready. TB: All right. Well, we are gonna dive right into Hobby Talk. Card enthusiasts, cardboard chaos lovers, you are on the clock. How the heck are we feeling? We are diving in to talk about Fanatics Fest because it is a huge, absolutely massive event that is taking place over the next four days. I believe it starts Thursday and runs through Sunday in New York City. Have you looked into Fanatics Fest? Do you know what this is? Have you heard of it before? Give me w what your thoughts are on this thing. Sydney: Yeah, I have heard of Fanatics Fest before just because you have talked about it previously. I haven't really done any research on it, but I think I have a pretty good idea of what it is. and I did look at their guest list, so I'm excited to to see what comes of it. TB: So we will get to that in just a second. But for those who aren't familiar, Phonetics Fest is kind of like a combination of the best of both worlds. They are bringing basically all the superstars in pretty much all your major sports. And to include the WWE, they have a huge presence there. And they basically take over New York City. It is a four-day convention that combines the best of the sport world with the best of the card collecting world. It's a little more oriented to the sports side just because they have so many more hands on things. There's a lot of like games that are being played. And the thing about this convention is there are famous people and superstars and athletes, whether they're still playing or retired, there they are everywhere. This is like the who's who. If you remember my review last year, I was a little upset with how much Tom Brady boo boo coverage there was. that infuriated me and I expect nothing less than that this year. But yeah, this is a massive social media event. The NBA champs, the New York Knicks are all going to be there. So being in New York City, I can't imagine what the scene is gonna be like. First question: if you could get there and it was affordable, would you go to this event? Sydney: I don't know. I didn't see any people. Okay, there were people on the list that I'm a fan of. I'll say that. But there wasn't people on the list that I was like, my gosh, I have to get out there to meet them. But that's just my preference. Like, I didn't see Josh Allen or Deion Dawkins on the list, so I don't know. TB: Yeah. Sydney: Maybe if it was if I happened to be in New York City for whatever reason and it was free admission, I think I would go in. but I yeah. TB: It is not free admission, by the way. It averages probably to be eighty to ninety, ninety five dollars a day. I think you could buy a four day ticket. I don't know, like two high two hundred, something like that. You wouldn't want to go for all four days. Sydney: Honestly, I I don't think that's a bad price, honestly, looking at all the people that are going. It is a pretty good guess list. but it's just not my personal hobby. So TB: Now they're they're outside of like the meet and greets and the autographs and the photo op sessions, all kinds of things going on. Probably every famous podcast that could be hosted is going to be hosted live in person at this event. so some of the some of the big ones involving what doesn't Jalen Brunson have a podcast? I don't know. There's some some crazy big time NBA guys are hosting stuff. you have all kinds of the Sydney: Pretty sure. TB: all all sorts of the big sports spectacular podcasts. They're they're all putting on shows live from the festival. LeBron James is supposed to do a big podcast. so yeah, but the big thing that I would want to go see is all the WWE stuff. They have a huge replica entrance ramp and the people can come down to whatever music you want and do kind of your own Walk to the ring cool entrance thing. I always thought that that would be kind of cool. so you never know who you're gonna run into. And just the people watching alone, I think would be awesome. because some of these guys don't really have like a ton of security. so Travis Scott, I think was huge last year and it he was just getting mobbed everywhere he went. And yeah, just just crazy. But so you did go through the guest list of who was. signing and who was giving out photo ops and stuff. If money were no object, so we're bringing this back. If money were no object and you bought a ticket and you're there in New York City, side note, it's not that easy to get to this thing. So most of these people who are going, I think, are gonna be in the surrounding area. Makes sense. But if you're coming from out of state, like this is not gonna be a cheap, a cheap trip to take just to get yourself there. But if money were no object and you winded up at Fanatics Fest in New York City Who you laying down your hard earned money to see and or get something signed? Sydney: Yeah, so I think I have three really random picks. So number one, Cam Scataboo. I think he is really just an interesting person. I watched him in his last year that he played in college, and I was like, hmm, he he's interesting. There's a a yes. Yep. TB: Okay. Okay. Running back for the New York Giants, just so for the listening audience who doesn't know. Sydney: He there was a viral video of him before one of his games in college. And he had his helmet on, his uniform on, and he's just banging his head off the concrete wall. He's just an insane person, and I think he would be a really fun person to meet. because I don't think that there would be a dull moment when you talk to him. so staying on that same track, my number two pick is Jameis Winston. Cause TB: my. okay, you are going random with these things. Sydney: Ha ha I think he has some of the best one-liners, especially when he took over as the starting QB for a little bit. not this past season, but the year before. his quote, everyone's probably seen it, the Lord has blessed me to play in some snow when he was having a snow game in New York. I thought that was hilarious. and he just is a really cool guy. TB: Yep. Sydney: I think he has a lot of cool things to say when he's being serious. so that's my number two. And then number three I picked because I've always loved them, and it was more a nostalgic thing. But no other than Nikki and Brie Bella, who are the Bella twins. You know, I've always loved the Bella twins, especially Nikki. but yeah, I used to watch Totobella's. TB: Nice, nice. the okay. Little bella magic. Yeah. Sydney: when I was still a big fan of the WWE and Total Divas and all that stuff. So they had their own reality show and I would watch the behind the scenes of them training and stuff like that. So always been a big Nikki and Bree Bella fan so I would meet TB: True true or false. There was a time when you had actually wanted to be a WWE D.Va. Sydney: True, and I told my fifth grade teacher that I wanted to be that when I grew up and he thought it was really funny. So that used to be my dream career. TB: Love it. Okay, so you gotta put in order. Who are you going number one, number two, number three? Sydney: I would put Nikki and Brie Bella number one and then I would put Jameis two, Cam three. TB: Okay. Hey, I I I love it. That that's awesome. I hear you did not mention Jim Kelly. That's okay. I I understand. a little bit a little bit before your time, and that's all right. so for me, I would have gone with Danhausen. Not sure if you know who Danhausen is, but he is the latest and greatest thing to hit the WWE scene. kind of a comedic character, if you will, paints his face white. Sydney: He's before my time. TB: with the black, you know, eyeliner and eyeshadow and stuff and wears like a Dracula cape. And if you know the story of the Knicks, he famously cursed the Knicks before the playoffs, took the curse off, and then the Knicks went on to win the whole thing. And he's kind of a celebrity in New York City. So I was kind of shocked to see how low his prices were when it came to his photos and autograph session. I mean, you can do both. You can get a photo and an auto with Dane With Danhausen for around 150, 160 bucks, which I thought, hey, compared to some of these other guys that I looked at, that's not a bad deal. I did not go with him, however. I also put together a list of three. Number one, I went with look, y'all are gonna think I'm crazy, but I went with Mike Tyson. I grew up during Mike Tyson's heyday, watched all his big fights, saw him actually bite a Van Der Holyfield's ear. With me and my buddy Mike watching that that that that big time fight. So yeah, I would love to get a photo up with Mike, Iron Mike Tyson. That would be cool. He's charging about $230 for a photo. He's not signing anything at Fanatics Fest, but $230. I I think I would, if money were no object, heck yeah, I'm gonna get a photo with Iron Mike Tyson. That would be sick. number two, I actually went with Jack Hughes, hockey player, gold. Gold medal game winning hockey player for team USA. Yeah, I kinda kinda shocked. You threw me off. I thought he would have been on your list. but where would he so he he would have been your three B or f number four? Sydney: I almost picked him. That's close. I almost picked him. Yeah, I was going between him and Jameis. you know, looking back, maybe I should have picked Jack Hughes. I think he would have been a cool pick, but hey, I went the more comedic route, so TB: I also think the line for Winston's probably gonna be a little shorter than the line for Jack Hughes. but what do I know? But if you want a photo op with Hughes, it's 200. And if you want him to sign something, it's another 200. So you're looking at 400. So not terrible for a a gold medal winning Olympic champion on the men's hockey team. That's not terrible. But my number one, and I'm only getting a photo because he's not signing, is none other than the ruler of the WWE currently, and that's Oba Femi. I got to see him at WrestleMania fight Brock Lesnar the first time. it was awesome. This dude is ridiculous. And yes, I will pay a low, low price of $80 only, if you could believe it. 80 bucks for a photo of future world champion Oba Femi. yes, please sign me up immediately. I will throw that money down right this second. So That's awesome. I think it's going to be cool. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of the stuff that's coming out on socials because everyone's going to be covering this event. It's going to be a four day extravaganza, if you will. There's gonna be a little bit of something for everybody. And I think it should be all in all a pretty good time. But like I said, I don't want to see too much boo boo content this year. if I if I do, it's gonna upset me and I I I don't wanna see that. So We we have enough Tom Brady in our lives. We don't need four more days of nonstop boo-boo coverage. So, but like I said, they're doing a lot of podcasts. And hopefully one year the three Ts will be hosting our own podcast live from New York City. I think that would be pretty, pretty cool. So you got anything else you wanna talk about with Fanatics Fest? Sydney: No, I I think we need to see some more Bill's representation up in there, but other than that TB: Yeah, you had you had some Hall of Famers. I think we're gonna show up. I'm not sure if Thurman or or Bruce was was gonna be there. I know Jim Kelly was gonna be there. I didn't look too close at the rest of the list. I know they're usually there, Bruce, Bruce and Thurman, but but who who the heck knows? But anyway, let's move on to another topic. I I was going through so every week I look at the upcoming card releases and I came across one from Upper Deck and this is a a unique product and I thought I would get your take on it. are you a golf fan by any chance? Sydney: Gotten a lot more interested in golf recently, especially moving to Jacksonville. We have TBC Sawgrass very close to where we live. So it is cool that one of the biggest tournaments is hosted here. it is really cool to to see I saw Rory hit his grand slam a few months ago, and watching him win that was pretty emotional in my opinion. I'm not even a Rory fan, but seeing people hit accomplishments like that is pretty cool. And golf is severely hard. so just to see the talent that these people have is really, really cool. but I do have a couple favorites. I would say everyone loves Scotty. I feel like Scotty is just such a likable guy. but yeah, Ludwig Oberg, if you know him, he's a good guy. Are you much of a golf fan? TB: Yeah. Can't say, can't say I know who any of these people are, but but that's quite all right. can I interest you in the 2026 Artifacts Golf from Upper Deck? Would you have any interest in one of the signatures of so you mentioned Murakawa? He is in this product. How about Wyndham Clark? Sydney: Morakawa. Mm-hmm. Yeah. He just won the the last tournament, which is interesting. He won Mike some money, so Mike might want that. TB: Okay. Okay. We don't have that fan duel code yet to give out to our listeners, but hopefully soon things are coming. How about Max Grazerman? Can you tell me anything about any of these players? Sydney: I know JJ Spawn. I know Victor Hovland. he's actually one of our favorites here in this household, so I would go for a Victor Hovland. TB: okay. So you are way more into this than I could possibly be. But I I was looking through this and I'm like, okay, this is not bad. It's a 90 card base set that features allegedly, and I have no idea to verify this, the best golfers in the world. Obviously, you have men and women in this set. So excuse me, I thought that was pretty cool. but what I did find interesting as we scroll through some of these pictures, and I will try to describe it for the listeners out there, but they have Artifacts Golf. memorabilia insert cards. Now they have what is called a big drive fragment card. And if you look at the card, it looks like the golf ball is being smashed open. If how how would you describe this one over here in the pink? Is it was that a accurate the description of this card? Sydney: I mean, if I wouldn't have guessed that in unless you told me that's what it was. it just looks like a pink blob. TB: Okay. Yeah, it's it's right. So I'm trying to figure out is this an actual like core of is this a part of a golf ball? What the heck is in these cards? I can't figure it out. The middle one, obviously, it's called treasured swatches. And these are, I don't know, they don't really tell you what's going on here. And then they have another one that's called History Lesson Memorabilia, and these are from historic. players. This one is from Gary Player. I mean, these are these like my my thing is, are these pieces of their clothes? Are we talking socks, pants, shorts, sweaters? What the heck are we talking about? This is just a very interesting set. But the thing that I really thought was cool is this last card here. These are called ball marker relics. Now, I think I would be interested in these cards. you see this last card here? It looks like The entire ball marker is embedded into the card. What are your thoughts on that? Sydney: I think that's pretty cool. I mean I think it's way better than the last one. I think that's definitely something that people would be interested in. Me personally, I'm not really sure, but I know someone would definitely enjoy that. TB: You think that would be would be all right. So what would the price point be that you think a hobby box of upper deck artifacts golf should should should set you back? Sydney: Yeah. I'm gonna say fifteen hundred. TB: For one box. I have no idea. I have no idea. So we will find out in the coming weeks because I don't know. I went to blowout cards and they said that they are completely not available and sold out. So we will see in a few weeks when this product drops. I believe it drops in about two and a half to three weeks. but I just thought, hey, that's an interesting product that probably not a lot of people are talking about. And you know. Sydney: I don't know. I don't know what they go for. Are you saying it's less? Okay, that's my guess. TB: Look, there's a lot of golf fans out there. And I'm assuming that some card collectors are also gar are also golf fans. Not everyone has to be into baseball or basketball, and football kind of like your your big your big three. so I think it is a smaller kind of niche, if you will. but yeah, I I just thought it would be cool and it'd be interested to see how those cards do and and where they go from there. But let's move on. I have a brand new segment to debut in this week's episode of the three Ts. And this is called Sydney's Price Check. Are you ready to play this game of Sydney's Price Check? Do you have any idea what is about to happen? So, brand new game. This is how it's gonna go down. I'm going to show you a card. Sydney: Just I am. No. TB: And we are you you can you can describe it for the listening audience. And then I want you to do two things. I want you to number one, tell me what you would be willing to pay for it, and then what you think it actually sold for. What do you think? So a little how do you think you're gonna do? Sydney: I think I'm gonna do awful and I don't want anyone to get offended by this. Let me just say that. I don't know anything about the card market and I have no gauge of how much anything is worth. So these are just my best guesses. TB: Mm-hmm. All right, well, we shall see what happens. Let's see if this pulls up. And in fact, we are having technical difficulties. This is a disaster for the here we go. Here we go. Can you see that? Sydney: No. Just a white screen. wait, there it is. Okay. Yeah, I see it. TB: How about now? All right. So yeah, that was a disaster. We might not ever be doing this segment again, but here we go. All right. Tell the listening audience what you actually see on the screen. Sydney: Yeah. So this is a card that appears to be autographed by Dr. Doofenschmertz, which is from Phineas and Furb, which is a great show, by the way. If you haven't seen it, please go see it. It is great. Probably one of the best intro songs ever. But okay, we're starting off with how much I would pay for this. TB: So first of all, just so we're perfectly aware, this card is signed by the voice actor who played Dr. Doofin Schmertz. So not actually Dr. Doofenschmurtz himself, but the voice actor. So does that change your opinion of what you think this card is gonna go for? Sydney: I mean, technically the guy that voices him is Dr. Doof and Schmerz himself. So I guess it just depends how you look at it. But I've always been a big Phineas and Ferb fan. Doctor Doof. TB: Okay. Fair fair point. Yeah. So doc there there it is. So what would you be willing to pay for this card? Sydney: I think I would pay fifteen dollars. TB: Fifteen dollars. And what do you think it sold for? Sydney: I'm gonna say this probably sold for like four hundred dollars. TB: Wow. So you you're only willing to pay fifteen dollars on a car that would sell for four hundred. Do you think you would be able to to get this card if that's the case? Sydney: No, I know that the the Disney market is very severe. Like there are a lot of diehards out there that I know go pretty crazy for stuff like this. Like I said again, this isn't really my hobby. I think it's an awesome card, don't get me wrong. But am I willing to spend $400 on a card that is signed by Dr. Doof? No. That doesn't mean it's not cool though. TB: Well well, would it surprise you that this card only sold for sixty seven dollars? And then how how does that change your your perspective on this? Sydney: Ha ha ha ha. Think that's a bad price. Like I said, I'm still getting engaged for what cards do go for. So, in my opinion, I don't think that's bad. would I pay $67 for it? Probably not, but that's not bad. TB: So this is an interesting, this is interesting card to view and try to actually see what people are paying with for it because it's a new product, right? And we talked about Disney Chrome last week. But here you have an autographed Topps Chrome card and it's numbered, by the way. It's numbered out of 25. So there's only 25 of this card in the whole world. And the fact that it only went for 67-ish dollars. Is pretty crazy to me. Now I know Dr. D, Dr. Dufenschmerz, is probably one of your lower end characters in that 200 card checklist, but still, it's an auto from someone who is from a fairly popular program that's been around for quite some time. So I would have thought, and maybe they're trying, maybe maybe you'll see this card go up over time. So hey, hey, maybe it's a potential investment. So Sydney: Maybe. TB: Maybe right now you should buy it for 70 and in four years it'll be eighty-two dollars. Who knows? But I just thought, hey, that's a cool card to kind of look at and gauge where some of the lower characters are in relation to like your Mickeys and your Minis and stuff like that that's going for huge, huge, huge amounts of money. So anyway, I just thought that would be a fun little game to play. Yeah, I would say you did you did okay. well, I think I think what you were willing to pay was way closer than what you thought the card actually went for. But either way, I think for for the first time, pretty successful. So anything else that you want to hit in the hobby world before we move on? Sydney: No baby. No, I think that's all for me on that. TB: All right. Well, Bill's Mafia, you are on the clock. How the heck are we feeling? We are another week closer to training camp, number one, and another week closer to the stadium opening. And lo and behold, what do we have on our hands? But another controversy. It seems like every time we turn on the news. Now I know it's a slow sports cycle right now, but there seems to be some problem in Buffalo Bills land. And this time it has to do with the Newly designed family circle and the names that are going up on the alleged wall of fame, even though they're not calling it the wall of fame. First off, have you seen the pictures of the newly installed three buffaloes? What are your feelings? What are your thoughts on the statues that have been put into play? Sydney: Yeah, I think they look great. I think it's really cool how they did mom, a dad, and a baby. I think that's really, really cool. just to represent like the herd. and I think it's really cool. It'll be a great photo op. I'm excited to take a photo in front of that thing. and they look really good. So hopefully there isn't any negativity around the buffaloes. TB: Right. I don't think there's any negativity around the buffaloes. The fear when this was first talked about was these buffaloes weren't going to be big enough. And from the pictures I'm seeing, and I haven't seen them in person yet, but they appear to be actually absolutely ginormous. So I think we're gonna be okay with the size of the buffaloes. The problem and the latest controversy is the names that are going up around the ring, around the family circle, most notably the one in particular who has been omitted or left off. And that being none other than OJ Simpson. A big to-do is happening in Bill's country involving numerous committee, or not committee, but community members who are fighting the good fight, if you will, and trying to set up online petitions to get his name reinstated on this family circle wall. Obviously, if you've been inside old high market, they had the whole Wall of Fame that went around the top of the upper deck or 200 section. you know, names of great bills and obviously Ralph Wilson and Jim Kelly and Durma Thomas, O.J. Simpson's name was on the wall, of course. But when they transferred to the new building across the street, they built this family circle, and it was supposed to honor what they said in the press was most. Of the greats of Buffalo past. And yet here he is being omitted from the wall. Now, you have all these people. As of yesterday, I looked this online petition to get his name reinstated on the wall. It was up to 1300 signatures. Now, the great thing, if you go to this link and you click on this petition, you can see the comments that accompany The people that are coming forward and and speaking up for OJ. And I don't know if it exactly puts society in the greatest light, some of the things that these people are saying. And it's it's kind of scary. But what are your thoughts on OJ being omitted from the family circle? Sydney: Yeah, I know when they announced that we were gonna be building a new stadium, that was one of the things that I had asked you and I asked multiple people, do you guys think that they're gonna be putting his name up there? and honestly, in my opinion, I'm glad that they didn't. I think for the most part, we all know what happened. whether that was proven or not is up to your own perception, and how you view it, but I think we all know that he did it. so allegedly. TB: Allegedly. So we don't get so we don't get sued, we'll say allegedly, but yes. Sydney: He allegedly did it. He did it. but I just don't think that they want anybody that is viewed in a negative light to be represented by the organization. That's just my opinion of how they are choosing to go about this. I think yeah, there are people that are upset by this, but imagine the outrage if they did put him in the new stadium. I think that there would be a lot more people that are upset by that than not. so that's just my opinion. You can choose to look at it however you would want to. but personally I think that they did the right thing, by not putting him up there and you know, that's just what I think. TB: How do you respond to those who say that omitting him from this wall is a way of whitewashing the Buffalo Bills history? Sydney: I mean, you can still recognize that he was a part of the history. I don't think anyone is denying that. but the actions that you choose to do is is a part of your story as well. So if you choose to do something, you're the organization has every right to to not represent you or to not back you. I think there's a lot of great people that were a part of the organization that they did decide to put up that didn't allegedly murder someone. so That's just my opinion. TB: No, I I totally get it. And I think there's a couple ways of looking at this. first of all, he he played way before I was even born. So he was drafted, I believe, in what was it? like nineteen sixty-nine. he won the MVP, I think, in nineteen seventy-three when he had his historic season of t rushing for two thousand and three yards. He was the first player in NFL history to rush for over two thousand yards. He broke Jim Brown's record and he did it in only 14 games. I'm not discounting his amazing career. He played nine, nine years, something like that, nine seasons with the with the Buffalo Bills. Not a single game that I ever see OJ Simpson play. That was well before my time. So I have only seen highlights and clips and know the stories of of his playing day. I know OJ more from his Hollywood career when he was in movies and on Commercials and I know that he became a beloved figure, specifically in Buffalo, because not only for his playing, but for his time in Hollywood and doing doing the commercials and things like that. However, like you said, you can't stop the story there. And even if we want to not talk about the events in 1993 involving the alleged double murder, you you can't negate. What happened all the way back in 2007 when he was found guilty of 12 counts of armed robbery for breaking into a hotel in Vegas and stealing all this sports memorabilia. I mean, he was found guilty on that and he served nine years in prison. So you have while two totally separate situations, this is painting a picture that his life off the Buffalo Bills field for those nine seasons wasn't exactly a stellar. upstanding citizen and yeah I agree with you so look he's never gonna be erased from Canton the NFL Hall of Fame he's always gonna be there his records are gonna stand his accolades are always gonna be there you can go to Ohio you can see his his NFL bust and when he was inducted and you can read all about him there but this is what's called a family circle and does the name OJ Simpson embody the term family I don't know. I have a hard time putting those two words or two ideas together. They don't merge. They don't, they don't come together very well, the from the way I look at it. not discounting what he did as a player, but you can't throw away what happened in the last, you know, 20, 30 years of his life either. So it's a tough situation, but the outrage, once again, just like we talked about with the PSL thing, it's It's it's nonstop. And my thing is, can we we're we're so close to opening a brand new stadium. This should be a time that we are all getting excited, that we're getting ready to celebrate something that hasn't happened in over 50 years. And here we are focused on arguing back and forth over access to practices. And now, should someone be on the wall of fame in a family circle outside a stadium? We we shouldn't even be talking about this stuff. I'm super psyched for. training camp. I'm super excited for the preseason to start and I'm super excited for the season to get here. I don't want to be talking about all this crap. But I guess because we're in the the slow days of summer that we have nothing else to do. So this is kind of what is occupying our time. It's just a little frustrating. Sydney: Yeah. And I want to go back to the OJ thing for a second because you and I did actually see OJ in person when we were at a game a few years ago. And it's interesting to me the response to that because he was sitting directly behind us in the in the suite in the box. And people were bombarding him trying to take photos with him. And to me that's just weird. I'm sorry. Like if you did that, you're weird. like I said, we all know what happened. TB: That's right. Right. Right. Sydney: and to go up to a person like that and to treat them like they are a famous celebrity is just weird to me. And I know people have a a history of doing that. They like almost idolize these people and it it's just odd. So I don't know. I think we just need to reevaluate what we are prioritizing in life because it's not people like that. So TB: No, agree. That was a very surreal situation to see happen because we were not far from him at all. I mean, what? Ten, twelve, twelve rows behind us at the game, at the Miami game. This was obviously many years back at this point, but what like five years ago at this point? Sydney: No. He was right behind us. Yeah. I think it was about five or six years ago. and just seeing the response to that. Like he was genuinely getting bombarded by people that wanted to take photos with him. And never in my mind did I think, I'm gonna go take a photo with OJ Simpson. Like I'm sorry, that's just it's weird. TB: Yeah. Yeah. It it's definitely a weird situation, but we shall see what happens as a result of this petition. You know, I'll be really interesting. It'll be really interesting to see how many people actually sign this thing. And I look, you could get 10,000 people to sign it. I don't think it's gonna change. Terry Pagula is not gonna put his name up on this brand new stadium. So you can you can complain and whine and cry all you want. Sydney: No, no. No. TB: It doesn't matter at this point. I mean, I I I think it's a good topic to discuss because I think there's there's points to at least listen to on each side of the argument. but at the end of the day, and if you want my opinion, there's no chance the Buffalo Bills or Terry Pagula will ever have OJ Simpson associated with this new stadium ever again. It's never, it's never gonna happen. Now, could they build a Hall of Fame, a sports hall of fame somewhere in Buffalo, maybe in Orchard Park? Sydney: No. TB: that talks about all sorts of you know, sporting events or historic, you know, Buffalo s athletes, and then he's a part of that. Sure. But as far as being a part of what is called family circle, I don't see it ever happening. Sydney: But even if they did decide to leave him out of the Hall of Fame, if they ever did decide to make a Buffalo Hall of Fame, they have every right to do that. It's their organization. They have the ability to write their own story, to put whatever they want in there. So if they do not align with someone and they don't want to put them in there, they don't have to. And that's not our decision to make. TB: No, no. Valid points all the way around. But are you ready to move on from OJ? Because I kind of am. All right. Like I said, we are a couple weeks away from training camp. Let's look at the offseason as a whole so far. If you look back from the time McDermott was fired and we hired Joe Brady and the whirlwind that happened shortly thereafter, let's look at the entire offseason so far. What do you think has been the best Bills story so far of the offseason? Sydney: Yeah, me too. Ooh, there's been a couple. I would say our signing DJ Moore was awesome. I know we talked about that a lot in the last episode. but I think something that I value is just signing good people. and he did make a a positive impact in the community. so seeing stuff like that, especially a lot of our players do have a lot of positive impact in Buffalo. I think a lot of them are super involved with the children organizations and nonprofits and stuff like that. So it is really cool when I see stories like that because, you know, they're not just players on the field. I think they want to make an impact all around. So I just love seeing those those stories during the off season 'cause that's when they really have the time to do them. TB: I could have sworn you were gonna go with Josh becoming a a daddy. Sydney: man, that was a good one too. And they they announced the name, which is really cool. TB: Yeah, yeah. No, definitely. but yeah, it's it's been a little slow. I mean, like I said, the whole sports world, I feel like if you're not into the World Cup, I don't know, you you got really nothing going on in in in life right now. But what about the worst Bills story so far the offseason? Can you think of anything that really hasn't sat well with you thus far? Sydney: It's been rocky ever since the season ended. I think, you know, the last month after everything happened, it was a little bit negative and there was didn't really seem like there was a lot of positives going on in the world of the Bills. but honestly, I think after everything has died down, we've had time to reflect and and look upon the season. I don't I think we were all just upset in the moment. The Sean McDermott situation was upsetting. But now I look at it in a different perspective. I think it's just an a time for us to turn the page and and just start like a new era, especially in the news stadium. What I was gonna mention earlier is that we have the chance to to rewrite a lot of things. You know, it's it's a new page, it's a new chapter that they're coming into, and I think it's super exciting. So I don't know, I I don't really think there's anything that comes to mind personally that I've been like, wow, that's so bad. Actually there is one thing. It just it just came to me. I wanna call you out Ray Davis. What the heck? I saw something that I didn't like. And I really like Ray Davis. So this is, you know, and I know people like to twist things, so I'll keep it short here. But he did make a comment recently that was inferring that he might not be in Buffalo for much longer because he doesn't feel like he's getting the amount of touches that he deserves. So I don't know. I saw that a couple weeks back and it it hurt my feelings a little bit because I like Ray Davis. I think he comes from a really inspiring story. I don't know if you've heard anything about his background or his life growing up. but he he came from nothing essentially. and to to make it where he was today, he had a really good college career at Kentucky. So TB: I did not see this story. You are breaking news? Okay. Sydney: I think he's a great guy. So that made me sad. But other than that, nothing. TB: I mean he is he is our number one kick returner. We can't we can't be losing our number one kick returner. Sydney: I know Come on, Ray, come on. We we gotta keep you around. TB: absolutely. I did not hear that. I think the weirdest story for me was the whole Keon Coleman fiasco with Terry Pagula kind of throwing him under the bus and saying he wasn't the first choice of being draft. I mean, what a weird story. And then Joe Brady, once he was hired, basically like leapfrogging everyone and vouching for Keon every single opportunity he he got, basically saying the best thing for Keon is me being his coach. And it just went on and on and on. And I felt like that story was overplayed and just beat to death. And I'm like, this guy is never gonna get anywhere if he is literally the the focal point of every news news story. And that includes radio, that includes podcasts. Like everyone was like, we gotta trade him before the draft. And what can we get for him? And he's not a f a part of the team. And meanwhile, here is me working on my my Keon Coleman. PC football card collection. And I'm like, I can't lose this guy. I got like fifty cards of him. So I'm like, no, Keon, I'm all in. Like I need you to ball out. Like this has to be the the turning point. So yeah, that was just a weird, a weird story to be following from the end of the season. Look, I have I have high hope for him. I I hope he can get his head on straight. I hope he can just be ready to play football. I'm super excited to see what he can bring into the team. And that's kind of like one story I really want to focus on this year is just seeing his growth because I think it's there. And like you talked about last week with bringing in DJ Moore as as far as a mentor and someone Keon can lean on. And then we talked about it also. Just having the whole you know, the the whole depth chart being rearranged now that DJ Moore is is in and Keon kind of slots back a little bit and there's not as much pressure on him. So I'll I'm I'm really interested to see how that story plays out. And it's gonna start here shortly at training camp. So we shall see what happens. But let's talk about the Joe Brady hire. So how did you feel when they the Bills came out and announced that Joe Brady was gonna be the new coach? What was your immediate reaction? Sydney: I mean, we talked about it for the the weeks leading up to it after Sean had gotten fired. I think we all kind of had a feeling that this was gonna happen. and we touched on this last week that it felt like there was always he was always gonna be the pick. And they were just kind of interviewing people to to make it seem like they weren't just picking him automatically. But I think we all kind of knew that he was gonna be the pick that they landed on. But Initially I was upset by the pick because I thought it was super predictable. Now I think that I've had some time to sit with it. I think he has the opportunity to prove that he is great. And like you mentioned last week, it's hard to really understand someone's personality and someone's coaching style when they're up in the booth. I think when you get them on the field, you get them, you get to see more of their personality. I mean, he seems to be like a fiery guy. When we did see clips of him in the booth, I saw him get mad. I saw him throw his headset. I saw him throw his notepad. So I wanna see that on the field. I wanna see him interact with the players. I wish we were on hard knocks again because I would think it would be a really cool season for us to be on hard knocks. but yet again, I think I had time to reflect on it and I think that he has the potential to be awesome. TB: Yeah. Sydney: So I'm excited to see kind of where he takes this. TB: I'm gonna say absolutely no more hard knocks ever again. I never wanna see that ever. So that's a hard pass for me. Sydney: Yeah, they didn't they didn't film it very well. But TB: But I'm sure you are looking forward to the brand new season of quarterback debuting soon on Netflix. Sydney: Yeah, isn't it Joe Flacco, Jaden Daniels, the Titans quar yeah, Titans quarterback, Cam Ward, and Tampa Bay Bakey. Bakey Bakey. TB: Cam Ward and Baker, Baker, touchdown maker. Yeah, that that that'll be a cool season. I am interested in seeing what what they do with that. But back to Joe Brady, real quick. How much pressure do you think he is under? He himself coming into this Bills team, obviously, you know, so many years of making the playoffs, and he took over for McDermott and Now look, he's a king of the castle. How how much pressure do you think he's under? Sydney: I honestly wouldn't want to be him. I would not want to be in his position. Sean McDermott was highly loved in Buffalo. I think a lot of people are still mad that he's not our coach anymore. so he has some big shoes to fill. Not only with sh filling the shoes of Sean, but also he is coming off what I think was a good season. But like I said earlier. A lot of Bills fans don't view a good season unless you get to the Super Bowl. That's that's the goal right now. So if we we didn't win the AFC championship last year. So I think that he has, you know, some improvement there. The Patriots are really good. the Dolphins and the Jets are not. So though that's our one competition. we need to solely focus on that. So he has some huge shoes to fill. I TB: Right. Sydney: think this could turn into what I think it turned into last year almost is kind of like a like a situation that the Steelers were dealing with was every year they got to the playoffs, but it was the same story every single year. And with Mike Tomlin, I think that our the fans are are getting tired. Like they they need to get to a Super Bowl. So he he's got some pressure on him for sure. TB: With the Mike with Mike Tomlin. Don't you think it was a little different with the Steelers though? And I I'll just push back a little bit on that because I think everyone knew as the season progressed, if if you looked at the Steelers, you never really thought that they were a threat at any point. And so they would get knocked out in the very first game of the playoffs each and every year. And it was like, yeah, they no one ever picked them to win anything in that first opening wildcard weekend. The Bills, on the other hand, yeah, they went they they always have that that lull in the season, win a couple they weren't supposed to, maybe have a bad stretch of like six games where they go 500, something like that. But they always seem to get at least past that first game. And yeah, I I I hear you. they didn't make they didn't even make the AFC championship last year. So that was tough, a tough loss to Denver. We all know how that went down. and then Denver goes on and and loses to the Patriots who, if you listen to me talk about them last year, you know how I think that they were a complete scam. I I don't think that they were anywhere near as good as their record. And I think that they lucked into the Super Bowl. Now I'll probably get a lot of pushback on that, but that's okay. I think Drake May is a little overrated. I think we just need to pump the brakes and let's see what he does this year. and plus I just hate that whole organization, so I'm always gonna put push back on how. How good the Patriots are. I can't stand Mike Vrabel. the whole offseason with him, I think, was swept under the rug. I think we should still be talking about that, but we we aren't. and and yeah, I just I hope we throttle the Patriots and I I hope I don't know. I I want to put them back in the rear view mirror where they where they need to be. But what do you think a good season looks like if you're Joe Brady? Sydney: Yeah, I don't think he is the type of person that is going to be happy with failure. and to me, I think it's probably Super Bowl or bust for him. I think he probably thinks the same way a lot of us feel that if you don't get there, then is it a successful season? I don't know. Like we're a great team and I know we have the ability to get to the Super Bowl, but if I was a coach And my team got to the playoffs year after year, but you you can't get to the Super Bowl. How do you view the season as a success? I mean, g I'll bring up the Steelers again. They have consistently gotten to the playoffs year after year, but yet again they lose in the first round every year. But they still view that as a successful season. I guess it depends who you talk to, but I'm sure they would much rather get to a Super Bowl. TB: Yeah. Sydney: I mean, I don't know. I I just think if I was in his shoes and if I didn't get to the Super Bowl, I wouldn't view it as a success. But TB: Yeah, and that that's that's a tough position to be put in, especially as a rookie head coach. that's a lot of pressure. It it's it's a crazy amount of pressure, but I think he's gonna have the horses to do it. I think he's gonna have the team and and if he's allowed to open that offense up even just a little bit, I think they have the ability to kind of drop the hammer and go after it. Because I think you're gonna see a little different. Sydney: Mm-hmm. TB: Change as a season goes, I think at the beginning, the offense is gonna need to be humming because the defense isn't really going to be gelling yet because we're bringing in a whole new scheme. We're bringing in a new defensive coordinator, we're changing the way we're playing defense, going from a four-three to a three-four and Jim Leonard taking over. The whole thing is gonna look crazy different. And I think that's gonna be challenging for all the old players to kind of get on board with that. And it's gonna take it's gonna take some time. And I think the front end of this schedule is extremely tough. It's very top heavy. And the first six, seven games of this schedule are brutal. So I think you're gonna see the defense really take a couple months to get up to speed. And the offense is gonna have to carry this team for the first half of the season. So the way I see it, Joe Brady needs to put the gas pedal to the floor and let's go. Like we have a a X VP for for This exact reason we gotta we gotta have him be guns blazon to start the year. But so let you you mentioned something about all the recent successes. So I wanna pose a question to you as a fan, as a member of Bills Mafia. So given all the recent success that this Bills team has had, so seven straight playoff appearances, are you able to enjoy the regular season as a fan? Sydney: It's very stressful. And it really depends. Like, even sometimes, I turn on the TV, and it's like the first few minutes of the game, you can kind of get a gauge for how it's gonna go. And some days I turn on the TV and it's like, this is not great. And we're playing the Miami Dolphins, who are two and eight or whatever. And TB: Right, right. Sydney: It's like even on some of those days where you think you're gonna pull through with a win, it's like, holy crap, we're down and we're playing the Jets. Like, it's really stressful to me. I know that that happens and that's okay. It is enjoyable. I will say that. I have a lot of fun being a fan, but the losses really, really suck and they keep me up at night. And some days I wish that I could be down there on that field and I could like. TB: Yeah. Sydney: Scream at or do a something. I don't know. But being a fan is tough, especially I don't know. People say will say different things about this, but when your team is really good and you know that they're really good and they're just they can't get past a certain point, it's super frustrating. I think when go ahead. TB: So do you look at it? Do you look at it? So let's say they they have a big win. are you able to celebrate that win in the moment and for the next few days? Or are you constantly like, well, it doesn't matter. We need the one seed. We need to get to the playoffs. And then we need, we need, we need, we need. Are you able to actually take yourself out of the long-term view of the season and actually enjoy this team from week to week, month to month? Sydney: yeah. Yeah, I definitely do enjoy the team week to week, especially after a big win. it's joyful. You kind of just have to just take it in. because those bad moments are hard. So taking in every good moment you can is is definitely important. And it's a lot of fun too. I know whenever we were talking about what we wanted to do, where we wanted to watch the playoff game when we played the Broncos. TB: Yeah. Sydney: We were this close to going out into the bar and watching it with friends, and I'm so glad that we did not do that because it was a horrible ending and I was distraught after that game. So I would say games like that, you you just gotta take it game by game, week by week, because you never know. So TB: Yeah. Yeah. And then and that that's a good topic that we can maybe put a pin in for a future episode is actual game day at home experience. How do you want to ingest the game? I'm very like, I don't want anybody around me type type of way. It's like I have a problem watching my team with other people who aren't as invested in it as I am. And maybe I'm crazy, maybe I'm a lunatic, but that's just the way it is. so yeah, unless I'm in a setting like a Bills backers bar or something where I'm living and dying with each play, with the entire building, the entire room. I I kind of want to be left left alone because I don't take losing too well. but you know, that's something I still haven't learned as I approach my fifties. But that's neither here nor there. So you got anything else on the Bills this week before we turn our attention to wrestling? Sydney: I think that's it. TB: Awesome. All right, wrestling marks, you are on the clock. How are we feeling? Last week we had our debut episode of Sid's Homework, and she discussed CM Punk versus John Cena in 2011, Money in the Bank. And the reason I wanted to start with Sydney watching that match was because of the location. it took place, and it took place in none other than Chicago, Illinois, the hometown of CM Punk. And if you are following the current storyline, you know that just over two weeks ago, CM Punk returned to Chicago on Monday night raw to surprise and be the surprise entrant in the main event versus newly crowned champion Sami Zayn. He had just won the belt at the triple threat match. In Night of Champions, which took place in my favorite country, Saudi Arabia, wink wink, you know how I feel about that. But he had beaten Gunther, he had beaten Cody Rhodes, and he had shocked the world to become the WWE champion. Well, that lasted, that title reign lasted exactly nine days. He was supposed to face Cody Rhodes And what happened? Well Cody Rhodes gets ambushed by Gunther. He is taken out. We go through the whole show. And who shows up at the very end? none other than Chicago's own CM Punk? The place comes absolutely unglued. They had a great match. This match probably went on for 22, 23 minutes, and ultimately CM Punk wins. He beats Sami Zayn and he becomes the WWE champion yet again. But what I thought was interesting was the post match audio that was cut and recorded. this is Sammy Zayn. I'm I'm hoping this is gonna work because have you seen this, by the way? Sydney: No. TB: This is crazy. We're gonna play this and you give me your thoughts. This is Sami Zayn immediately following his defeat to CM Punk. Thoughts? Sydney: Yeah, it's moments like that where you're like, wait, is this real or is this like I don't know. Yeah, if that's just acting then he needs to be in in some movies because that's pretty good. But yeah, holy crap, is that do they have like some beef or something? 'Cause TB: Does that get you fired up or what? Sydney: Yeah, I'd say. TB: So I had not seen this until a couple days ago. And then I heard the story. I was, I I don't, I don't even remember how I came about hearing this clip, but I played the clip and I'm like, my gosh, that was absolute fire. and what he's referencing is so the last time CM Punk was even on TV was the Monday Night Raw immediately following WrestleMania. So night two, he's in WrestleMania and The next night on Raw, he comes out and you don't see him. He's gone. So for him to come back, so Sammy is basically saying you're gone for two months. And the first time you show back up on TV is to go one-on-one with me for my brand new title. and he is like going, he is losing it. Just losing it. Now, if you continue to play that clip, and I I won't because it's probably another 30 seconds, he actually like breaks down. You see him. Kind of dropped to his knees and he's holding his head in his hands and he's sobbing, like sobbing uncontrollably. And it was a absolutely crazy interaction backstage. And to your point, you are starting to question: is he really pissed? Like, what what is actually going on here? And it it's stuff like this. This is why we talked about the whole story involving. CM Punk and John Cena and Vince McMahon 15 years ago. Well, it's interesting that all the stuff CM Punk was fighting against in that pipe bomb promo that we talked about in that match you rewatched. He talked about how John was put up on this pedestal and he was the essentially Vince's golden child and and and and no one could touch him. And he was the cash cow and all the merch and all this and all that. Well, Fast forward fifteen years, look look and see exactly what position CM Punk is finding himself in now. He is the prime guy, he's the one selling the merch. He's the one that can come and go as he pleases, he's the one that can take time off. He is essentially the new golden child that can come back into a title match two months after being off television and immediately be handed the title after beating Sami Zayn. So It's interesting to see the the career arc, if you will, that CM Punk has taken. I just find the whole thing fascinating. Sydney: Yeah, it is interesting. It is interesting that that was fifteen years ago, the last match that we talked about, and he's still wrestling. I know he's not that old, but it is just crazy to me like the athleticism of some of these people and how long that they can do such a sport that is so tolling on your body. It's just crazy to me. I mean, I was eight fifteen years ago. So fifteen years ago this feels like forever. So the fact that he's still in this position and he's still, you know, I know he's had other endeavors in between. now and then, but it is just crazy to me that he's still so relevant and is such a big part of the industry. So that's what I took away from it. It's just crazy. TB: yeah. It's almost like he's bigger now than he was back then. And back then, he almost had huge back then, but it was almost like a cult following. You know, it's funny I s I use the word cult because that the his theme song became cult of personality. Well, that's essentially it was like an underground movement that was kind of I mean, you remember watching that that clip. John Cena was the guy. He was the most Sydney: He was huge back then. TB: loved guy in 2011, no matter where you went in the world, except for one place, and that was Chicago. And to see Chicago's own CM Punk come out for that Money in the Bank title match and then for him to win, it kind of elevated his status, you know, in the company. And now, fast forward 15 years later, he is the guy. It's like him and Roman and Cody. That's it. You know, and Sydney: And they're all the old guys. Just interesting. TB: It's yeah. Yeah. And that that's definitely a topic to dive into. the state the state of the roster and what they're doing about it to replenish and bring in new talent and crazy stuff like that. But I got a feel for Sami Zayn and a lot of the internet wrestling community lost their minds when Sami Zayn lost that title to to CM Punk. they thought that The WWE did did them dirty, if you will. And so to only have it for nine days, it was a very short title reign. But look, look, if you look back through the history of time with the WWE, sometimes these what they call transitional champions are there to further another story. And You know, I'm I'm extremely interested to see where this goes. It looks or it at least appears that this is gonna be tabled for a little bit because CM Punk immediately switched his attention to Cody Rhodes. And it looks like those two have already set up a title match for one of the main events at the two night summer slam that's coming up here in what less than three weeks. So we're gonna preview that in a future episode. But I just thought Hey, that's kind of a major story going around. And I thought it tied in beautifully to the match you watched last week. But there was another story I kind of wanted to talk about. It doesn't really pertain to the current storyline, but I thought that this was kind of interesting. So I'm going to pose a question to you and you give me your thoughts. So imagine that you convince Mike to go to a WWE event in Jacksonville. And when you go to buy the tickets, let's say they're going to put a house show on, which is a non-televised event. Let's say it's Saturday afternoon at the what is it? Correct me, the ViStar Arena. Did I get that right? So you find out WWE summer tour is coming to the ViStar Arena and Randy Orton is advertised to be there. So you run to the box office and you you buy two tickets. Well, as the show approaches, you get a week away, and the WWE announces that the entire card. Sydney: Mm-hmm. Yep. TB: has changed and Randy Orton is no longer going to be on the show. In addition to four other superstars who when you bought the tickets were originally expected to be there. How you as a consumer would you feel about that moving forward? Sydney: Yeah, I would be pissed. I think that, you know, people pay a lot of money to go to these shows. You know, whether they're televised or they're not televised, you're still paying a lot of money. They charge a lot of money for these shows. And we talked about this previously. People s you know, save their money to go to these things and they put it on their calendar as something to look forward to, especially for their specific stars that they're going to see. I know if especially if I were to buy tickets for a WWE show, and I'm not the biggest fan, I'm not watching every single night, you know, I don't really know exactly what's going on in the storylines. I'm looking for specific people that I want to see. That's just how I am as a fan. So if I buy these tickets with the knowledge that there's going to be four super superstars that I really want to see, one being my favorite. And then they change the card and say, just kidding, you're gonna have Heath Slater. Here you go. I'm gonna be like, wait, Heath Slater's great, but do I wanna pay a hundred bucks to go see him? No. I wanna go see Randy Orton and Roman Reigns and all the other people that I paid for. So I think if I go ahead. TB: What'd Heath Slater ever do to you? So I'm gonna sh no I'm gonna show you the first the top picture here. Now for those in the listening audience, the top picture is a who was originally advertised for the show that's taking place on July 16th in Allentown, Pennsylvania. So you have the you have Trick Williams, your current intercontinental champion, Drew McIntyre, pretty big deal. You have Jade Cargill, you have Rhea Ripley, who is Probably the biggest female star in the company right now. You have Cody Rhodes, and then you have Oba Femi, who I just paid $80 to get it my photo with at Fanatics Fest. Well, if you scroll down to the next picture, you will see that the only one of those six superstars that is actually going to be at that show is Oba Femi. Now, two, I I will make one point before I'll let you comment. Rhea Ripley is injured, so I get that. She's not gonna appear. co completely understood. But you're replacing some major, major superstars with the Usos. I'm trying to see Braun Breaker, Dominic Mysterio, Page, Danhausen, Penta, and it looks like that is Bree Bella. So no Cody, no Rea, no Drew, no Jade, and no Trick Williams. So yeah. How how you feel about that? Sydney: Yeah, I mean, like I said, I'm not super up to date with what is going on in the industry right now. But Bree Bella and Paige were wrestling when I was eight years old watching WWE. So I'm not sure how big they are at the moment, especially Paige. I did not even know that she was a wrestler because I know she's stopped for years. So TB: Yeah. Well two to before before you go any further, they are your current WWE women's tag champions, by the way. Can you believe it? Sydney: The only the only WWE Diva because they used to be called that. The only WWE Diva that I would go pay my money to see that I used to watch years ago would be Naomi. That is the only one that I want to see. I think that she is awesome and no offense to Bree Bell or Paige. But I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. TB: you're you you just upset a lot of the Page fans out there in three T Land. But Naomi is home. I think she either just gave birth or is about to give birth to a baby oose, so she might not be available. Sydney: See, Paige did not So why is Jimmy and Jay also on the card then? Jimmy or Jay, whichever one that she's married to, why is he on the card? TB: her her boo is Jimmy and allegedly Jay's wife just may or may not have divorced him or left him. So that's a whole that's a whole nother topic, which we won't we won't really dive into here on the three Ts. But yeah. Sydney: Jimmy. Yeah, I mean again, I think I would be pretty upset. It seems like they kinda chose quantity over quality. just from looking at the photo. Like I said, I don't really know what those wrestlers are involved in right now, but I I think I would be pretty upset. TB: Do you think the WWE takes themselves off the hook when they use the phrase card subject to change to kind of cover all these replacements, if you will, as they get closer to the actual event date? Now, if you look at the tickets when you go to first buy the ticket and when they first make an announcement and you see the poster or you see the ticket master listing or whatever, it all it will always say at some at some point. part of that listing, the words card subject to change, meaning they could swap out these superstars with whoever the heck they want and it allegedly takes the responsibility off them and go, hey, you know, kind of buyer beware sort of deal. Do you think that that's appropriate? Sydney: I mean, I get it they're doing it to protect themselves. I get that, but is it great morally? No. that's not a great idea. That's not a great way to do to run your business. I remember when we would buy tickets for shows, I would look on the WWE app to see which superstars, because they would only name a few, but whichever superstars were gonna be there, they would put them in the app. TB: Yeah. Yeah. Right. Sydney: And it would be like maybe one or two jobbers and then one or two good wrestlers. So you kinda had an idea of who was gonna be there. and I know I would get excited when I would see my favorite person on the card. So when if I'm a little kid and I'm looking at this and I'm saying, my gosh, Cody Rhodes is gonna be there. He's my favorite superstar. And then I show up to the event and he's not there, puts you in a hard situation, especially as a parent, you know. TB: Yeah. absolutely. Cause you're there, you you the kids are gonna want the merch, they're gonna want this, they're gonna want that, and instead it's Braun Breaker or Dominic Mysterio, nothing against these guys, they're perfectly fine superstars, but neither one of them is Cody Rhodes. And Cody Rhodes is your number one merch seller in the company. It's probably him and then Roman and then CM Punk, you know, two A, two B after Cody. But Cody is essentially the new John Cena and he's the one pushing the merch. Sydney: Right. Right. Yeah. TB: sales. So yeah, it's it's it's crazy. I don't know. It it's a tough situation. I would definitely be pissed. but I try to look at it like, okay, if this were a real sporting event, which is kind of how they want you to look at it, if I go to see the Orioles play and I want I I bought my ticket knowing Pete Lonzo is going to be in the lineup and I go there and they're giving him a day off, is there really anything I can do about that? No, I'm gonna be pissed that I dropped a hundred bucks to see Pete Alonzo and now he's sitting the bench, you know, chewing sunflower seeds. So I don't know. I I get both sides of this. It would definitely be frustrating. there's no doubt about it. But I thought that would be an interesting topic to kind of talk about some current events that might not necessarily be happening in the ring. I thought that was an interesting story and one that I definitely wanted to get your perspective on. So Sydney: Mm-hmm. TB: You got any other questions or comments about the wrestling portion of the program? Sydney: No, I don't think so. TB: Any other things, any other topics, questions you wanna hit on before we put a big bow on this baby? Sydney: No, I think that was a good episode. We hit a lot. TB: Yeah, we did. We talked about a lot. We did. We absolutely did. But I think I think that's gonna do it for this episode of the three Ts.
