- 0:50Speaker 6: but it's not even close to Friday. It's hump day.
- 0:53Speaker 6: It's Wednesday. Scott cland Dinnon is here. What are you
- 0:57Speaker 6: looking at?
- 0:57Speaker 7: This?
- 0:58Speaker 5: Just in?
- 0:59Speaker 4: Okay, this just in.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Wait, we're getting there news news sounder, there it is.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Tyler Murray has now been guaranteed forty million dollars in
- 1:14Speaker 5: twenty twenty six and an additional nineteen and a half
- 1:18Speaker 5: do him on March fifteenth. I think he's gonna go
- 1:23Speaker 5: play baseball.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Eventually, probably not.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Do you think he's been smart smart with his money?
- 1:31Speaker 5: He needs ever do anything? Again?
- 1:34Speaker 4: You know, I've given up on how much is enough
- 1:37Speaker 4: for these guys?
- 1:38Speaker 8: Right, So I sure hope so. I wouldn't guarantee it,
- 1:45Speaker 8: but I sure hope so I hope so as well
- 1:48Speaker 8: stat for you as we transitioned into basketball. Okay, I
- 1:52Speaker 8: know you've you heard this Monday, but when Kansas took
- 1:55Speaker 8: down Houston Monday night, did the guy play?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Yeah? Yes, the whole game, believe it?
- 2:01Speaker 5: Or no?
- 2:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:02Speaker 5: Did he need to play the whole game?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Yes?
- 2:05Speaker 6: Okay, I still think they're better without him, but that's
- 2:11Speaker 6: just me anyway, neither here nor there. It was Bill
- 2:17Speaker 6: self's forty first Big Monday win at Allen Field House
- 2:25Speaker 6: without a loss.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Well, then why did you agree to play then?
- 2:30Speaker 4: Without a loss?
- 2:32Speaker 5: Why would Kelvin Sampson agree to play in that game?
- 2:34Speaker 6: Why was Why was Houston a favorite in that game?
- 2:40Speaker 6: I have no idea why? Because they don't know if
- 2:44Speaker 6: the kid's gonna play.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I mean again, Chip, he has a swing of twenty
- 2:50Speaker 5: points a game.
- 2:52Speaker 6: I don't agree with that. I don't agree with that
- 2:55Speaker 6: because the games he has not played the other guys
- 2:59Speaker 6: who don't score when or see the ball when he's playing,
- 3:03Speaker 6: they do see the ball, and they do pass the ball,
- 3:06Speaker 6: and they do move the ball, and they look like
- 3:08Speaker 6: a Bill Self coach team with their offense. Okay, I
- 3:12Speaker 6: will say again, in my humble opinion, I think they
- 3:17Speaker 6: are better without Peterson than they are with him. And
- 3:21Speaker 6: I don't think his teammates trust him because they they
- 3:24Speaker 6: can't trust him, nor should they trust him. I'm not
- 3:29Speaker 6: even sure they particularly like him. I don't know if
- 3:31Speaker 6: you saw his news conference afterward when they made him
- 3:35Speaker 6: come up with two other players and they were asking
- 3:38Speaker 6: questions about him. Yeah, I think he gave two three
- 3:43Speaker 6: word answers, and one of them was happy to be here.
- 3:47Speaker 6: No one of them was I'm basically a loner. I
- 3:51Speaker 6: like to be by myself. To that, not exactly in
- 3:55Speaker 6: so many words, but that was the gist of it, right,
- 3:58Speaker 6: And that's about all he said. Okay, His dad was honest.
- 4:02Speaker 6: His daddy was quoted as if you want the river,
- 4:07Speaker 6: you got to be prepared for the mud.
- 4:11Speaker 4: That was daddy's quote.
- 4:12Speaker 6: And you're going, okay, now, Bill Self is one of
- 4:17Speaker 6: the best ever to do it. He can't sit this
- 4:22Speaker 6: kid down or he may never get another one and done.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Number one draft pick if you know, the other coaches
- 4:30Speaker 6: are just waylaying them, like if you go there, you
- 4:34Speaker 6: won't imply for him. You know he didn't, He didn't
- 4:37Speaker 6: care that you're number one pick, but your bill so.
- 4:40Speaker 6: But but you may have you may have other parents going,
- 4:43Speaker 6: I want my kid to go play for him, right,
- 4:46Speaker 6: because my kid needs it.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I don't know how long. I don't know how much
- 4:49Speaker 5: longer Bill self's going to be coaching. If they if
- 4:52Speaker 5: he walked it off this year.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Well, you know he's had hard issues, yes, a couple
- 4:56Speaker 6: of times.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Yes, but does he live if he doesn't have this game?
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah? Again, you don't know that.
- 5:05Speaker 6: But forty forty one and oh then and as I said, Tuesday,
- 5:13Speaker 6: this is Big Monday. You don't play many you know,
- 5:17Speaker 6: crap teams on Big Monday on ESPN, Right, you play
- 5:22Speaker 6: the best the league has to offer.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Well, he's only been doing that twenty three years. Twenty
- 5:26Speaker 5: three years, forty one to no, I mean come on, man, Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 5: that's Bobby in Texas Tech in one of those. Does
- 5:33Speaker 5: that really good?
- 5:34Speaker 6: It's some point you'd think that somebody would hit a shot.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Okay, do you know who they've played on Big Monday
- 5:44Speaker 5: this year?
- 5:46Speaker 4: No, I do not, you should.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Okay, I don't care what you say. It's not gonna
- 5:52Speaker 6: belittle what I just said about Big Monday.
- 5:54Speaker 5: January thirteenth, Iowa State, Okay, they're pretty good. February ninth,
- 6:01Speaker 5: undefeated in number one Arizona.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Arizona, They're pretty good. And then and then this, and
- 6:06Speaker 4: then this. I'm saying that's the caliber of teams.
- 6:09Speaker 6: He's beaten forty one straight times without losing at Allen
- 6:12Speaker 6: Field House. I mean that that may be one of
- 6:15Speaker 6: the most incredible statistics I've heard in sports for a while. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 6: that's incredible. All right, let's talk about this game tonight,
- 6:24Speaker 6: going to Fayetnam. Yeah, playing the Piggy people playing.
- 6:28Speaker 5: None of these players have ever lost in Fayetteville's true?
- 6:32Speaker 5: This coach, that's not true. This head coach hasn't lost
- 6:35Speaker 5: in Faytteville.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Okay, that's true.
- 6:38Speaker 5: That head coach, that's part. That's true. He's got he's
- 6:42Speaker 5: got four sisters that you know.
- 6:45Speaker 4: They've been around.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes me think.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Okay, I watched paton this last weekend. It makes me
- 6:52Speaker 5: think of when Patton is talking about the victorious conqueror
- 6:56Speaker 5: in Rome. Yeah, and the the the.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Uh wait, I'm sorry, this just did Trey. The Texas
- 7:08Speaker 6: Rangers have defeated the Cleveland Indians eleven to four in
- 7:16Speaker 6: Arizona this afternoon.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Wow, yeah, thank you, Okay, okay, go ahead.
- 7:22Speaker 5: That that a slave would ride behind the conqueror. Yeah,
- 7:27Speaker 5: whispering in his ear. Yeah, all success is fleeting. Yes, Okay, he's.
- 7:33Speaker 9: Had five guys, who've had five guys tell them when
- 7:38Speaker 9: you go to Fayetteville, all success can be fleeting going
- 7:42Speaker 9: into there, and very few have ever said coming out
- 7:46Speaker 9: of there.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Hey how about that coach?
- 7:50Speaker 6: So Lenardi says tonight, both these teams have a chance
- 7:54Speaker 6: to move up an entire seed line with a victory.
- 8:00Speaker 6: And saw who he has is a number five seed?
- 8:03Speaker 6: Do you think that's a little high for Arkansas?
- 8:05Speaker 5: Do not like?
- 8:06Speaker 4: I like this team.
- 8:08Speaker 6: I think they are, including Florida, the most talented team
- 8:14Speaker 6: in the league.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Okay, I give their coach.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Just rolls the ball out.
- 8:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, he just rolls the ball out, which
- 8:23Speaker 6: is why they get better every February.
- 8:24Speaker 4: In March.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Right now, Lombardi has a and m as a bubble
- 8:32Speaker 6: by team, meaning the last four buys available, A and
- 8:38Speaker 6: M would get okay, along with Missouri, Texas and Auburn.
- 8:45Speaker 6: There are four SEC teams on the last four bye
- 8:49Speaker 6: line by Joe Lenardi.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Okay, okay, we've already.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Talked about A and M can lose this game and
- 9:00Speaker 6: and wait, mine is in there.
- 9:04Speaker 5: What's Missouri done lately?
- 9:07Speaker 4: What they did last night? Yeah, what they do last night,
- 9:10Speaker 4: they'd be Tennessee.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Oh but they're not a good team. That's a bad
- 9:13Speaker 5: loss for the Aggies. I didn't know the bad No,
- 9:17Speaker 5: I'm not saying you did, Chip, But what I'm saying is,
- 9:19Speaker 5: once again, as opposed to last year where it was
- 9:24Speaker 5: the all time best league, the depth of this league
- 9:28Speaker 5: is understated.
- 9:29Speaker 4: No doubt.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Those four teams right there probably should be in the
- 9:35Speaker 5: nine spot and not in the ten or or higher
- 9:38Speaker 5: or higher.
- 9:39Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't argue with that. The
- 9:43Speaker 6: there is terrific depth. Londardi has eleven SEC teams in
- 9:48Speaker 6: the tournament, more than any other conference right right now,
- 9:52Speaker 6: He's got eleven SEC teams in Okay, So I wouldn't
- 9:56Speaker 6: argue the depth. I'd argue the quality because it can't
- 9:59Speaker 6: be close to what it was last year. Right, Like
- 10:05Speaker 6: I I before topping got hurt at Texas Tech, I
- 10:09Speaker 6: thought the Big twelve had five legitimate Final four teams.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Right, Texas Tech.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Is no longer in my mind, despite how good this
- 10:18Speaker 6: guy is, and you know how good Chris Anderson is,
- 10:23Speaker 6: they don't have an All American and that's that's going
- 10:25Speaker 6: to really hurt them. I don't know if I'm looking
- 10:32Speaker 6: at an SEC team right now. Beside, I don't think
- 10:38Speaker 6: Alabama can get there, although they've they've proved me wrong before,
- 10:43Speaker 6: but they haven't in terms of I'm talking about the
- 10:45Speaker 6: final four, I think Florida and in my mind Arkansas
- 10:54Speaker 6: are the are the two teams that I would look
- 10:56Speaker 6: at that if they got to the Final four, I
- 11:00Speaker 6: would not be surprised. Right the other teams, it would
- 11:05Speaker 6: have to be some major upsets, you know, for them
- 11:08Speaker 6: to win four games in.
- 11:09Speaker 5: The putting markets on there when they can't even beat Alabama.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a heck of a ball game.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Jerry Palm has today. Texas is the last nine, Auburn
- 11:24Speaker 5: as the second ten, a and M is the third ten,
- 11:28Speaker 5: Missouri is the first eleven. Wow, So there's.
- 11:31Speaker 4: A pretty good close. Yeah, it's kind of close.
- 11:34Speaker 5: There's a pretty good consensus there.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 6: If I'm looking at at A and M, you know
- 11:42Speaker 6: they have there what are they nine and five right now?
- 11:45Speaker 6: Is that right?
- 11:46Speaker 4: And it's nine and five right now?
- 11:48Speaker 6: Okay, they are fifth in the league by themselves. Okay,
- 11:55Speaker 6: A game A game I had a Kentucky, Texas, Missouri, Vanderbilt. Uh,
- 11:59Speaker 6: and it's we mentioned I think all of those are
- 12:02Speaker 6: our tournament teams. And and but I you don't we've
- 12:09Speaker 6: seen this before, Scott. You don't want to leave it
- 12:11Speaker 6: to the committee. You don't want to leave any doubt
- 12:14Speaker 6: to the committee. Never you could you know, you win
- 12:17Speaker 6: these two games, and and then that's so completely over with, right. Uh,
- 12:22Speaker 6: you can lose to Arkansas.
- 12:24Speaker 4: I mean that to me.
- 12:25Speaker 6: That that's not a bad that that's not a bad loss. Okay,
- 12:29Speaker 6: you can lose at Arkansas. I think they that Texas
- 12:33Speaker 6: game Saturday is a big game obviously for both teams.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Texas is probably going to get clocked by by Florida
- 12:39Speaker 6: tonight at home. There'll be eight and seven coming in
- 12:43Speaker 6: on Saturday. I just you know, I just think that's
- 12:47Speaker 6: just a huge game that we're going to see on
- 12:50Speaker 6: on Saturday afternoon between those two teams, and.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Chip, I still don't like the guard play at Kentucky.
- 12:57Speaker 5: It's gotten a little better, but they play Vandy, Kentucky
- 13:00Speaker 5: is going to expose their guards as well.
- 13:03Speaker 6: I'm going to tell you Kentucky is is Missouri light.
- 13:09Speaker 6: I mean they you don't know what you're getting from them. True,
- 13:11Speaker 6: they have Kentucky talent at most positions, but you're right,
- 13:18Speaker 6: they have been horribly inconsistent.
- 13:22Speaker 5: And do you remember that when they were happy last
- 13:25Speaker 5: year after about ten games they didn't have cal anymore.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, they were, oh yeah, they were ecstatic.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Everybody was good.
- 13:33Speaker 6: And then they went to Arkansas, right, yes, and they went,
- 13:37Speaker 6: oh that guy can roll the basketball of them and
- 13:41Speaker 6: then by golly, look who went to the Sweet sixteen
- 13:45Speaker 6: last year that wasn't supposed to at Arkansas was supposed
- 13:49Speaker 6: to get in the tournament. Yes, uh, tonight is going
- 13:53Speaker 6: to be hard, I mean hard, but that that doesn't
- 13:56Speaker 6: mean this team can't do hard.
- 13:57Speaker 4: We've seen it. You know, their style of play is
- 14:01Speaker 4: not going to change.
- 14:04Speaker 6: They have to defend, which sometimes they've done and sometimes
- 14:08Speaker 6: they haven't. I know, against Oklahoma they had a pretty
- 14:11Speaker 6: good defensive game. And I know it's just Oklahoma, but
- 14:15Speaker 6: Oklahoma has some offensive firepower, right, Arkansas has a lot
- 14:22Speaker 6: of offensive firepower.
- 14:24Speaker 5: But Arkansas it'll be interesting because Arkansas has big guys
- 14:29Speaker 5: who haven't done anything.
- 14:32Speaker 6: Trevan owns Siaggy somehow. Yes, I don't know how, because
- 14:37Speaker 6: this is a guy. He just he perplexes me.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:43Speaker 6: The guy we've seen play Texas, A and M and
- 14:46Speaker 6: a couple other games right in his career. One of
- 14:51Speaker 6: them was earlier this year. He went off and I'm going,
- 14:55Speaker 6: where is that? Because that's a lottery pick. Okay, Oh yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 6: because he he has a wingspan over seven feet, he
- 15:02Speaker 6: can shoot the three, he can handle the ball, he
- 15:05Speaker 6: can block shots. But why doesn't he he disappears?
- 15:11Speaker 4: But I guess A and M. He's been all wold.
- 15:13Speaker 5: But the guy don't miss doesn't disappear.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Now, okay, the up something.
- 15:19Speaker 5: The guy at Missouri doesn't disappear. No, okay, but Brazil,
- 15:25Speaker 5: yeah has disappeared.
- 15:27Speaker 6: He disappears, and I don't I'm just mystified because he
- 15:31Speaker 6: has it. He has so much talent and you you
- 15:37Speaker 6: just don't see it very often.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I think it's really interesting because I think the focused
- 15:43Speaker 5: by Bucky McMillan has been all about this conference and
- 15:49Speaker 5: winning these games down the stretch to give them a chance.
- 15:54Speaker 5: I think he said the other day, you know, I
- 15:56Speaker 5: don't know what Florida is going to do, and maybe
- 15:58Speaker 5: they aren't catchable, but about this conference, about the double buy.
- 16:03Speaker 5: He has had a focus on this league when everybody else,
- 16:07Speaker 5: because their fans has been looking outward to you know,
- 16:12Speaker 5: to March Madness. And for them to be in the
- 16:14Speaker 5: position after last week when they were the only eight
- 16:18Speaker 5: and five team to win. All the other eight and
- 16:21Speaker 5: five teams lost on the weekend, and now you get
- 16:26Speaker 5: a ten and four team that you get to play
- 16:29Speaker 5: in front of you. That's a big opportunity tonight. That's
- 16:33Speaker 5: a big opportunity because if they do win this game, chip,
- 16:38Speaker 5: then how many games can they win down the stretch?
- 16:41Speaker 4: You know, I'll be honest, I don't.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Obviously they build a little momentum, but I you know,
- 16:48Speaker 6: confidence has never been lacking with this crew, right right.
- 16:53Speaker 6: I have no doubt that will go in expecting to
- 16:56Speaker 6: win the game. That's just how they played all year long.
- 17:00Speaker 6: So I'm not sure that's going to affect them I
- 17:05Speaker 6: did like Bucky's sense of history when he talked about
- 17:09Speaker 6: beating Ole Miss and going back to Billy Kennedy's twenty
- 17:15Speaker 6: sixteen year when they won the league after they'd lost
- 17:20Speaker 6: four in a row, right, and he had that down.
- 17:23Speaker 6: He said, they didn't lose again until the finals of
- 17:25Speaker 6: the SEC tournament. Right, they lost to Kentucky and of
- 17:30Speaker 6: a really close game that year, and he had the
- 17:35Speaker 6: history down. He goes, look, this has happened before. Whenever
- 17:39Speaker 6: you know, we're all panicking because they've lost four in row. Right,
- 17:42Speaker 6: he said, this has happened before, it can happen again.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I really like that this is the toughest of the four. Yes, yes,
- 17:50Speaker 4: this is the toughest of the four. Who else did
- 17:54Speaker 4: they have? I don't have their own ship the last one? Yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 4: I knew LSU was the last one.
- 17:59Speaker 5: It's Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky.
- 18:01Speaker 6: They're hosting Texas at Kentucky, right right, right, right, right,
- 18:05Speaker 6: and then they go to and again you're right, I mean,
- 18:08Speaker 6: all three of those teams are eminently beatable, right, and uh.
- 18:16Speaker 4: My guess is they'll be favored in those two home games.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Kentucky kind of a toss up.
- 18:23Speaker 5: I think they'll be a prohibitive favored against l SHU.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Yes, oh yeah, no, I just meant those two games. Yes,
- 18:30Speaker 6: they will be favored against LSU without question. So yeah,
- 18:34Speaker 6: they you know, uh, if if they win tonight, they
- 18:38Speaker 6: would have a chance to go in in a little streak,
- 18:42Speaker 6: maybe get the double by and go from there. But again,
- 18:47Speaker 6: if they lose tonight, in my mind, it's not the
- 18:51Speaker 6: end of the world. No, you know, they've got plenty
- 18:54Speaker 6: opportunities left, and frankly.
- 18:59Speaker 5: They might.
- 19:00Speaker 6: They could right now beat LSU and get in the tournament.
- 19:06Speaker 6: That's not how you want to do it. No, you
- 19:07Speaker 6: want to go in with momentum. You want to show
- 19:09Speaker 6: the committee always that hey, you know, and if you
- 19:13Speaker 6: if you put that streak together and win those games,
- 19:17Speaker 6: and yeah, they're they're going to rise more than one
- 19:20Speaker 6: seed you know on the line for sure.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Yeah, And but I think you want to get you
- 19:29Speaker 5: you want to get two seed lines. Okay, you want
- 19:33Speaker 5: to get to seven. That's sevent ten, we know how
- 19:36Speaker 5: that's seventeen is tough. But to come up nine and
- 19:40Speaker 5: play a two.
- 19:42Speaker 6: Yeah, but you don't want an eight nine, That's what
- 19:43Speaker 6: I'm saying. You don't want to do play the number
- 19:45Speaker 6: one seed.
- 19:46Speaker 5: You don't want to play the number one seed, right,
- 19:48Speaker 5: especially this group at number one seat, right, I mean
- 19:51Speaker 5: the number two Who do you want to play out
- 19:53Speaker 5: the number two seats?
- 19:54Speaker 6: Let me see where I am. I have not Lombardi here, Okay,
- 19:58Speaker 6: Lonardi not Lombardi. Lonard is a long way from Lombardi. Yes,
- 20:05Speaker 6: number two seeds in order, Iowa, State, Perdue, Illinois, Houston.
- 20:16Speaker 5: It's the same. It's the same as what Palm has.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Palm has, Duke, Michigan, Yukon, and Arizona is the one
- 20:22Speaker 5: that's correct, and then the same four right there.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Okay, So.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Any of those eight teams win the national.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Championship, Yes they can.
- 20:33Speaker 6: I have backed off of Houston now after watching them because.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Shift they can't win on Big Monday at Kansas.
- 20:40Speaker 4: No, it's not that, it's not the three losses in
- 20:43Speaker 4: a row.
- 20:43Speaker 6: It's kind of how they they've done this right, that
- 20:46Speaker 6: they they are not defending the way Kelvin Sampson's teams
- 20:52Speaker 6: defend right now. And the reason they're not is out front, right,
- 20:56Speaker 6: their big guys defend. Unfortunately, they don't score the score,
- 21:01Speaker 6: but they don't defend, right. Okay, His best teams last year,
- 21:06Speaker 6: the year before, year before, all five guys on the floor,
- 21:10Speaker 6: whoever was on the floor, they're all defending, right, they're
- 21:13Speaker 6: all just into you.
- 21:16Speaker 4: And this team is not like that.
- 21:18Speaker 6: As good as Kingston Flemings is, he doesn't defend, right,
- 21:23Speaker 6: Uzon who's was a point guard as well, and who
- 21:27Speaker 6: comes in and out, he doesn't defend.
- 21:30Speaker 4: So that's an issue because of how that style.
- 21:35Speaker 6: Right, you have to defend, you have to shut down
- 21:38Speaker 6: your opponent, especially in the tournament and the tournament especially,
- 21:43Speaker 6: and they haven't been able to do that against the
- 21:45Speaker 6: best teams. And that that bothers me about vib you know,
- 21:52Speaker 6: the other teams, Like I said, I thought Texas Tech
- 21:57Speaker 6: was certainly a final four.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Team and they're but they're not anymore.
- 22:03Speaker 5: And how how did we get Duke and Michigan last weekend?
- 22:08Speaker 4: You know, I think that was just dumb luck.
- 22:13Speaker 6: I think the network's put together a pretty good little.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Show and good gosh, you know I said after where
- 22:24Speaker 4: Duke is still Duke? Unfortunately? I mean that that was unbelievable.
- 22:30Speaker 6: Michigan's point guard didn't play very well, right, they didn't
- 22:33Speaker 6: get the guard play they needed.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Right, they're huge.
- 22:37Speaker 6: I like you, con I tell you, I tell you
- 22:39Speaker 6: another team and they're playing what we have this game
- 22:42Speaker 6: coming up here in about twenty minutes. Saint John's Patino's
- 22:47Speaker 6: team is only like fifteenth and I don't and they're.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Not even among the four seeds.
- 22:54Speaker 6: But Lonardi has next okay, after the four seeds, which
- 22:59Speaker 6: would mean five the five seeds, he has Arkans in
- 23:02Speaker 6: order Arkansas, Saint John's Tennessee Vanderbilt, So he has three
- 23:08Speaker 6: SEC teams like on the on the bubble last four
- 23:12Speaker 6: byes I did, but he has three SEC teams. Uh
- 23:17Speaker 6: as as five seeds. Alabama is a four seed, Florida
- 23:22Speaker 6: is a three is a three seed. Okay, that's how
- 23:27Speaker 6: it breaks down right now. But man, Saint John's is
- 23:31Speaker 6: playing great. Saint John's beat yukon the last time they played,
- 23:37Speaker 6: and I think they've beaten in the last two times
- 23:39Speaker 6: they played.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Who's coaching that team?
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, some some guy named Patino, some old guy, some
- 23:45Speaker 4: old man.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 4: I don't thinking coach. I don't think he's remember the game,
- 23:49Speaker 4: no out Yeah, yeah, he's not very good. Yeah.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Well, I think it's it's a great uh, It's it's
- 23:57Speaker 5: worth staying up. Tonight. Yeah, until it isn't. But even
- 24:03Speaker 5: in the losses here in the last five years, that
- 24:06Speaker 5: has been great basketball, down to the wire basketball when
- 24:12Speaker 5: there was conflicting styles. We haven't seen this with similar styles.
- 24:17Speaker 5: And that is going to be really, really fun because
- 24:22Speaker 5: A and M can be like the A and M
- 24:25Speaker 5: can play Texas and Kentucky in Arkansas like they played
- 24:30Speaker 5: that Alabama game. It's in them. Sure you can have
- 24:34Speaker 5: a one hundred and ninety seven games a couple times
- 24:36Speaker 5: in this three game run, no doubt, and it would
- 24:39Speaker 5: be great for the It's entertaining.
- 24:44Speaker 6: I want to mention I'll be out at the Expo
- 24:47Speaker 6: Center tomorrow live with the Taste of Aggie Land. I'd
- 24:52Speaker 6: love to see you guys come out say hello. We'll

- 25:04Speaker 5: I wouldn't know.
- 25:07Speaker 6: I can't help you. I don't know people. I know
- 25:10Speaker 6: you don't I used to and the good old days
- 25:15Speaker 6: I knew people. We'll be out there tomorrow, talk.

- 29:05Speaker 6: Today says there's a new Baz Luhrmann film on Elvis
- 29:10Speaker 6: Presley called Epic Elvis Presley in Concert on Imax, and
- 29:18Speaker 6: they call it Epic. This electrifying combo of documentary and
- 29:24Speaker 6: concert film showcases the King of rock and Roll at
- 29:28Speaker 6: his creative zenith during his nineteen seventies.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Las Vegas residency.
- 29:34Speaker 6: And early seventy tours, and more importantly, showcases Presley and
- 29:39Speaker 6: all of his jumpsuited splendor as both cultural icon and
- 29:44Speaker 6: cool guy. It's an essential watch for every music fan,
- 29:50Speaker 6: even if you're not an Elvis junkie. They give it
- 29:54Speaker 6: three and a half out of four stars. By watching Epic,
- 30:02Speaker 6: you get it, you get him, You get why teenage
- 30:06Speaker 6: girls went berserk when he shook his hips, and why
- 30:09Speaker 6: people just went mad everywhere he went for decades. You
- 30:13Speaker 6: also get, in his own words, a glimpse into who
- 30:16Speaker 6: Presley truly was that no other documentary or film has
- 30:22Speaker 6: ever captured in the same way On the biggest, best
- 30:29Speaker 6: sounding screen possible, the movie immerses you in Elvis's audience
- 30:34Speaker 6: for a monumental music experience. A movie like this is
- 30:40Speaker 6: going to bring in older folks, but the Elvis nerds
- 30:45Speaker 6: or those who have strong nostalgia for his peers and
- 30:48Speaker 6: that time in music. However, it's the kids who can't
- 30:53Speaker 6: get enough of the tailors, Sabrina's and chapels who should
- 30:57Speaker 6: see Epic just for the cultural history lesson. It's a fascinating,
- 31:04Speaker 6: rousing snapshot of a legend in his prime coming alive
- 31:08Speaker 6: again in a way that makes him just as vital
- 31:10Speaker 6: now as he was dead. I think I'm going to
- 31:15Speaker 6: see this movie this weekend.
- 31:17Speaker 7: Oh, you're actually going to see it?
- 31:19Speaker 4: I am.
- 31:21Speaker 7: Okay, you'll have to report back next week.
- 31:23Speaker 4: I will. I'm kind of pumped up about it.
- 31:25Speaker 13: If it's really all those really big expressing adjectives.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, I hope. I'm not too terribly disappointed,
- 31:34Speaker 6: you know.
- 31:35Speaker 13: Yeah, no fingers crossed. I mean I know how much
- 31:38Speaker 13: he loves to breed a carpenter.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Oh I'm there.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, if they can get me close to
- 31:44Speaker 6: that experience, so we have.
- 31:48Speaker 4: You know, we've.
- 31:49Speaker 6: Talked a long time about the Rock and Roll Hall
- 31:52Speaker 6: of Fame. Yes, who gets nominated? Why in the world
- 31:58Speaker 6: do they get nominated? I know you're going to be
- 32:04Speaker 6: shocked by this. Okay, we have seventeen nominees, wow, ten

- 33:42Speaker 4: What you keep looking?
- 33:48Speaker 7: I'm gonna keep looking and see what is? Oh? He
- 33:51Speaker 7: thinks hallelujah?
- 33:54Speaker 4: Okay, but he didn't write that song?
- 33:57Speaker 7: Well it was his rendition of hallelujah.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I don't. I don't remember it.

- 34:47Speaker 4: Yeah, not rock and roll, Lauren Hill. I do love horn,
- 34:53Speaker 4: but not rock and roll.
- 34:55Speaker 7: I understand what I do.
