- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Swedish with Fexingo! I'm Lucas, and with me is Luna. Luna: Hej hej! Ready for another episode? We've bought so many things lately—coats, phones, gloves... Lucas: True. Today, let's do something different. Let's go to a travel agency and book a trip. Luna: Ooh, that sounds fun! I've always wanted to practice booking a flight in Swedish. Lucas: Perfect. Our first phrase is: Jag vill boka en resa. That means 'I want to book a trip.' Listen: Jag vill boka en resa. Luna: Jag vill boka en resa. Jag vill boka en resa. Lucas: Excellent! Now, the travel agent will ask: Vart vill du åka? — 'Where do you want to go?' Say it with me: Vart vill du åka? Luna: Vart vill du åka? Vart vill du åka? Lucas: Good. So you answer: Jag vill åka till Stockholm. — 'I want to go to Stockholm.' Jag vill åka till Stockholm. Luna: Jag vill åka till Stockholm. I love Stockholm! Jag vill åka till Stockholm. Lucas: Then you'll want to know the price: Hur mycket kostar det? — 'How much does it cost?' Hur mycket kostar det? Luna: Hur mycket kostar det? That's a classic. Hur mycket kostar det? Lucas: Next, you might ask about the flight time: När går flyget? — 'When does the flight leave?' När går flyget? Luna: När går flyget? När går flyget? Sounds a bit like 'when goes the flight?' Lucas: Exactly! And finally, if you want a one-way ticket: Jag vill ha en enkel biljett. — 'I want a one-way ticket.' Enkel biljett means one-way. Luna: Jag vill ha en enkel biljett. Enkel biljett. Okay, let me try all of them: Jag vill boka en resa. Vart vill du åka? Jag vill åka till Stockholm. Hur mycket kostar det? När går flyget? Jag vill ha en enkel biljett. Lucas: Wow, that was perfect, Luna! You've got it. Let's do a quick scene. Imagine you're at the travel agency. I'll be the agent. Luna: Okay! Lucas: Hej! Hur kan jag hjälpa dig? Luna: Hej! Jag vill boka en resa. Lucas: Vart vill du åka? Luna: Jag vill åka till Stockholm. Lucas: Bra! När vill du åka? Luna: Nästa vecka. Hur mycket kostar det? Lucas: Det kostar 1500 kronor. Vill du ha en enkel biljett? Luna: Ja, jag vill ha en enkel biljett. När går flyget? Lucas: Flyget går klockan tio på morgonen. Luna: Perfekt! Jag tar den. Lucas: See how well that worked? You used all six phrases naturally. Luna: Yeah! I felt like I was really booking a trip. But, you know what? I was thinking about something. Lucas: What's that? Luna: This podcast is totally free, right? No ads, no sign-ups. How does Fexingo keep making episodes? Lucas: That's a good question. A small group of listeners support us through buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Their contributions go straight to production, and it's why we can keep this ad-free. Luna: Yeah, if you've been learning with us and find it valuable, that's a simple way to help. No pressure, but it makes a big difference. Lucas: Exactly. Even a small coffee helps. And now, let's practice our phrases one more time. I'll say the English, you say the Swedish. Luna: Sounds good! Lucas: I want to book a trip. Luna: Jag vill boka en resa. Lucas: Where do you want to go? Luna: Vart vill du åka? Lucas: I want to go to Stockholm. Luna: Jag vill åka till Stockholm. Lucas: How much does it cost? Luna: Hur mycket kostar det?
