- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett. Hello, Big
- 0:13Speaker 1: Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My name is
- 0:17Speaker 1: Michael Bennett. On this August Friday, August twenty first, absolutely
- 0:22Speaker 1: beautiful day, looking forward to a beautiful weekend as well.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I mean, my goodness, the temperature I wrote all the
- 0:28Speaker 1: way here with my window down. Oh yeah, and it
- 0:31Speaker 1: was so nice. Good morning, Justin. I'm great. How are you? Yeah,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm fine, thank you. But anyway, I'm disappointed you to
- 0:39Speaker 1: come over here and say hello to me between the
- 0:41Speaker 1: two shows. Well I didn't really have you now, Is
- 0:43Speaker 1: that what it is? Are you a little hesitant to
- 0:46Speaker 1: come over here? No? No, no, no, okay, good I asked,
- 0:48Speaker 1: said that you were off last Friday. Yes, So when
- 0:51Speaker 1: I ended my show, yeah, it actually sent it over
- 0:54Speaker 1: to Nat. Oh did it really? You forgot the log
- 0:56Speaker 1: wasn't switched back, So yeah, I had to rap over
- 0:58Speaker 1: across the hall and change it. It's all good, you know.
- 1:01Speaker 1: You know, I like to cut up with you, so
- 1:04Speaker 1: and part of it is, you know, every now and then.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I was just a little surprised that you didn't let
- 1:09Speaker 1: me know this. When did you find out that a
- 1:12Speaker 1: person is filling in for you. I guess it would
- 1:15Speaker 1: have been Wednesday. Maybe today's Friday. Yeah, and you found
- 1:20Speaker 1: out Tuesday or Wednesday. So now nobody and it's not
- 1:24Speaker 1: your responsibility. Nobody at this station. Let me know, somebody's
- 1:28Speaker 1: filling in. I mean, I don't know what you want
- 1:33Speaker 1: me to say here. I don't Maybe they shouldn't just asking.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Maybe they should have I don't know, but I mean,
- 1:39Speaker 1: at least you have coverage. Yeah. I mean, I'm doing
- 1:41Speaker 1: what I'm supposed to do in the parking lot. So
- 1:45Speaker 1: the first time for everything, yeah, it might be the
- 1:48Speaker 1: last time. Now I'm going to ignore every line out there.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna park where were I normally parking and see
- 1:54Speaker 1: what they do about it. So anyway, I'm just kidding.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I am a very i'd say I I go with
- 2:02Speaker 1: the flow. I do get a little messed up when
- 2:05Speaker 1: I find something out late. It does, it does, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: it's not intentional. I promise you it's not intentional. But
- 2:12Speaker 1: when when my normal day is disrupted by something I
- 2:16Speaker 1: wasn't expected, I get that. Sometime it it bugs me.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I get that. I mean it's like earlier this week
- 2:21Speaker 1: when I woke up late. Oh yeah, exactly that whole
- 2:24Speaker 1: day was going off just because of that one little thing.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I could never get mad at you. Are you kidding?
- 2:29Speaker 1: You could do the worst thing in the world to
- 2:31Speaker 1: me and I could never get mad at you. I
- 2:33Speaker 1: just would. It'd be the hardest thing. No way. But
- 2:36Speaker 1: all right, well this is gonna be an interesting day.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So there you go. Fabo two three eight four fourteen fifty. Listen,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna need help today. Fabo two four one four
- 2:45Speaker 1: fourteen fifty. I want the whiskey thief text line to go. Bazankas. Okay,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I just bazankas that I don't know, but I love that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Do you really that's not a real word, but we're
- 2:55Speaker 1: about to make it one. It is a real word, Bazonka,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I think so. No way, yeah, absolutely no. Bazooka is
- 3:02Speaker 1: a real word. That's my favorite. Bazanka is definitely a
- 3:06Speaker 1: real word. Look it up. Bazanka is a famous nonsense
- 3:10Speaker 1: poem by British Irish comedian Spike Milligan. And people go, pasankas,
- 3:16Speaker 1: don't don't people go, It's it's meant to be crazy. Bazankas.
- 3:20Speaker 1: No I knew what you meant, but that's the crazy thing.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It's not a real word, but I know exactly interesting. Well, okay,
- 3:25Speaker 1: there you go. Uh, so I'm looking for people to
- 3:28Speaker 1: go Pazanka's on the Whiskey Deef text line today, okay
- 3:31Speaker 1: because I uh And by the way, I know somebody
- 3:34Speaker 1: was asking didn't he work uh when that other guy
- 3:38Speaker 1: and I were doing a show together? No, he didn't.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It was the other guy that tusked away. Douglas. That
- 3:44Speaker 1: was his name. Nice guy. That's so sad that he's
- 3:48Speaker 1: no longer with us. So it's like the third time
- 3:50Speaker 1: I've I've heard the name Douglas this week in regards
- 3:52Speaker 1: to him. Oh, really, I must be telling you something.
- 3:55Speaker 1: He must be reaching out to you. Okay, So why
- 3:59Speaker 1: are people thinking that he and I are not going
- 4:01Speaker 1: to get along. I don't think it's the I don't
- 4:04Speaker 1: think it's that at all. I think it's just the
- 4:09Speaker 1: so the unpredictable ability of Trevor. You never really know
- 4:12Speaker 1: what's gonna come out of his mouth. And I think
- 4:15Speaker 1: there's a little bit of that you as well. So
- 4:17Speaker 1: I just think the combination of the two of you,
- 4:19Speaker 1: it's I do. I think it's gonna be great radio. Really,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I'm not being facetious when I say that, all right,
- 4:25Speaker 1: all right, sound, well, we'll see if that is. Uh,
- 4:28Speaker 1: he's a Louisville fan, so he can make fun of him.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Oh jeez, man, you're just digging a hole by the
- 4:33Speaker 1: more you say. Okay, all right, then well tell him
- 4:36Speaker 1: the banner deserves to stay up on the West End
- 4:38Speaker 1: lofts or whatever they're called. Yeah, well exactly, yeah, exactly.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Well I almost said something else, but I better not.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But uh, that part of town is something else. But
- 4:50Speaker 1: uh anyway, uh yeah, I thank you for messing up
- 4:53Speaker 1: my friend. I was in a great mood too. I mean,
- 4:56Speaker 1: the temperature is perfect outside. I don't know why you're
- 4:59Speaker 1: letting this effect your because it's a change. And you
- 5:02Speaker 1: know of anybody that knows me at this station, which
- 5:06Speaker 1: nobody does, but at this station, you know me better
- 5:09Speaker 1: than anybody else, and one little change bugs me. I
- 5:14Speaker 1: can't help it. I'm doing the best I can to
- 5:17Speaker 1: be positive about. I apologize. It's not your fault. Well no,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I mean it kind of is, because I'm meant to
- 5:22Speaker 1: tell you last night and then you wouldn't have been
- 5:24Speaker 1: no like this this morning. But I worked sixteen hours
- 5:28Speaker 1: yesterday exactly. That's what I come for you. It is
- 5:30Speaker 1: not your fault. I could never blame you for somebody
- 5:33Speaker 1: at this station to say, Hey, Michael, by the way,
- 5:35Speaker 1: Justin's not gonna be with you on Friday for the
- 5:39Speaker 1: second hour. That's all they had to do is send
- 5:40Speaker 1: an email and I'd be good with it. Like what
- 5:42Speaker 1: am I supposed to do? Take a day off? I guess,
- 5:45Speaker 1: But anyway, so we'll see how it goes. And I
- 5:48Speaker 1: just I just I like to know the person that
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna be on the air with before they come
- 5:53Speaker 1: on the air with me. I think that's just a
- 5:55Speaker 1: simple request. But we'll do it anyway. Last night was fun.
- 5:59Speaker 1: We're gonna change subject because I don't want to go
- 6:01Speaker 1: down that path right now. And I was able to
- 6:05Speaker 1: do it. I did something that I normally don't do.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I went to a crowded concert and stayed there. And
- 6:11Speaker 1: I will have to say, I've never been more disappointed
- 6:13Speaker 1: in Kentucky State Fair. But Yep, the one and only
- 6:19Speaker 1: thing I was looking forward to eating, pork Chop sandwich
- 6:23Speaker 1: no longer there. What. I was so bummed out. I'm
- 6:27Speaker 1: not kidding. It has been there. The Kentucky producer pork
- 6:32Speaker 1: Chop sandwich has been there. I want to say a
- 6:35Speaker 1: good portion of my life. I can remember having the
- 6:38Speaker 1: pork chop sandwich back when I was in elementary school,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I think, and now it's gone. They and when we
- 6:46Speaker 1: went to escalation, she goes, yeah, I think they're out
- 6:48Speaker 1: of business, and I'm like, you gotta be kidding me.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It has been here at least fifty years. So if
- 6:54Speaker 1: you're going out for the pork chop sandwich up there
- 6:56Speaker 1: in front of Freedom Hall, it's gone. It's completely gone.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So what did you eat? I tried another pork chop
- 7:03Speaker 1: sandwich and it wasn't even close. I was so disappointed.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So yeah, probably had to pay. Like, well, it was expensive,
- 7:10Speaker 1: You're exactly correct. And uh then I got my lemonade shakeup.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I was happy with that. I was going to get
- 7:16Speaker 1: some ice cream. Delay said, oh, this is delicious. Come
- 7:19Speaker 1: try it. I tried it, and I'm like, oh, thank
- 7:21Speaker 1: you very much. I think I changed my mind. Now
- 7:24Speaker 1: do you do you just go regular lemonade shakeup? Yeah?
- 7:27Speaker 1: Oh what do you mean regular? Don't they do some
- 7:29Speaker 1: fancy ones? Oh no, no, no, I want a lemonade shakeup,
- 7:34Speaker 1: not fancy crap like a strawberry lemonade. No, no, thank you.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I want lemonade. Is lemonade that's straw may strawberry eight. Okay,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I'm a I much prefer strawberry lemonade over regular limitade. Really, no, no,
- 7:46Speaker 1: no no. And I had sugar in it, man, and
- 7:48Speaker 1: it tasted so good. But no, I am not a
- 7:52Speaker 1: strawberry or any of the fancy. I mean, you're bougie
- 7:55Speaker 1: today if you're telling me that I am when it
- 7:58Speaker 1: comes to limit absolutely, But no I had I had
- 8:00Speaker 1: regular lemonade, and I just I swallowed it down a
- 8:03Speaker 1: couple of SIPs. It was gone, so through the couple away.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's like I'm throwing the cup away because I don't
- 8:07Speaker 1: want to get another one. But we didn't have time
- 8:10Speaker 1: to go and do anything else. We didn't have time
- 8:12Speaker 1: to go see the cows, all the junk exhibits or
- 8:15Speaker 1: any of that stuff. Well, we got there at six thirty.
- 8:18Speaker 1: The concert was at eight, and we had to go
- 8:22Speaker 1: get these little arm bands because JD took care of us.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, and I'm telling you that guy works
- 8:30Speaker 1: the stage, oh my god. And then he had a
- 8:33Speaker 1: whole bunch of these people behind us that had big
- 8:38Speaker 1: blow ups of his face they were holding up, which
- 8:41Speaker 1: I thought was hilarious. He's got some pretty crazy what's
- 8:45Speaker 1: the lord I'm looking for the ips No fan base. Yeah,
- 8:50Speaker 1: his fan club is amazing. And then he had one
- 8:54Speaker 1: of a couple of women come up there and he
- 8:56Speaker 1: took one of the faces of himself and he takes
- 8:59Speaker 1: it up there and on your stage and starts to
- 9:01Speaker 1: kiss it himself. Oh, he kissed himself. The best part
- 9:05Speaker 1: of it is my wife got a picture of it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, So I posted it last night. I thought
- 9:09Speaker 1: it was a hilarious picture. But I did not hear
- 9:12Speaker 1: him he called me out. I'm like, but you' She's like, Michael,
- 9:15Speaker 1: didn't you hear him call you? I'm like, no, did
- 9:17Speaker 1: he really call me out? And I said, I didn't
- 9:19Speaker 1: hear a thing. So she said, yes, I'm positive because, uh,
- 9:23Speaker 1: some friends of ours that were with us, Cindy and
- 9:26Speaker 1: Greg Grissom. Cindy heard it and I'm like, I didn't
- 9:29Speaker 1: even hear it. Well, that kind of stinks, but that
- 9:31Speaker 1: was really nice. Yeah, And I'm telling you he was
- 9:34Speaker 1: a lot of fun. Now, he was a warmed to
- 9:37Speaker 1: some other act we left who played after I don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: know some guy, so what hold somebody? Uh we got
- 9:45Speaker 1: back at the house about nine thirty. Okay, yeah, so
- 9:49Speaker 1: I had I had time to have a shakeup a
- 9:53Speaker 1: pork chop that wasn't the pork chop original? And uh,
- 9:58Speaker 1: do you wish that he would have got something else? Yes,
- 10:02Speaker 1: But the problem is, I don't know. I probably would
- 10:04Speaker 1: have gone to Kentucky Beef Producers and gotten like a
- 10:07Speaker 1: Ribbi sandwich, steak sandwich or something like that. He played
- 10:11Speaker 1: with Cooper Allen was who went after him? Is that really? Okay?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Hell's Cooper Allen? He's evidently. My wife was saying he's
- 10:18Speaker 1: well known. She had never heard of him, but somebody
- 10:20Speaker 1: was telling her that guy's well known on social media.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He'll take songs and change the lyrics and called it
- 10:27Speaker 1: something and I don't remember what the term was, but
- 10:29Speaker 1: it was something different. I'd never heard of anything like that.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So evidently he's very popular, very good, and I don't know.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I just I wouldn't. I may have to go on Sunday,
- 10:39Speaker 1: Ricky Skaggs, come on, Oh really you like Ricky Scott good? Okay,
- 10:43Speaker 1: we'll go see him. So but it was a lot
- 10:46Speaker 1: of fun, big crowd, big crowd's rooting for JD. And
- 10:51Speaker 1: so yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I'm telling you what,
- 10:56Speaker 1: if you hadn't seen JD, go see him if you have.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You know what kind of a concert he puts on.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And can I tell you one more thing? His band
- 11:05Speaker 1: is fantastic. That is not an exaggeration. I mean, well,
- 11:13Speaker 1: do I know their names? No, I don't. He called
- 11:16Speaker 1: some guy read the lead guitarist. I think I don't know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: but but well, none of them are from Kentucky, once
- 11:25Speaker 1: from Arkansas, once from I think Oklahoma at Texas, and
- 11:29Speaker 1: that the drummer was from exactly, and the drummer is
- 11:35Speaker 1: from uh, I think Boston, and then the bass player
- 11:38Speaker 1: was from Cookville, Tennessee. I do remember that. But no,
- 11:42Speaker 1: that his band was fair and he kind of went
- 11:45Speaker 1: out and played some nineties rock music as well, covered
- 11:49Speaker 1: a couple of songs which he did the Goo Goo Dolls.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I thought was a really good rendition of it. And
- 11:55Speaker 1: I mean, and of course he did my favorite what
- 11:58Speaker 1: is it called bar barstool church pewed barstool, Yes, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: that was fantastic. He sounds. You know, there are a
- 12:07Speaker 1: lot of artists out there that have assistance when they're
- 12:11Speaker 1: making their recordings. He doesn't, and you can tell because
- 12:15Speaker 1: he sounds the exact same. And he was very appreciative
- 12:19Speaker 1: of the crowd his friends. It was a great crowd
- 12:23Speaker 1: Yoh yeah, you see the pictures of him, big crowd.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So I loved it. And I'm telling you what, I
- 12:28Speaker 1: can't wait to see him again. I really do. I
- 12:31Speaker 1: hope he shouts out my name so I can hear
- 12:33Speaker 1: it this time. So I was glad you actually went.
- 12:35Speaker 1: There was a really there was a part of me
- 12:36Speaker 1: yesterday that was thinking, yeah, does Michael actually even go
- 12:40Speaker 1: through with this? And I know you're exactly right because
- 12:43Speaker 1: I oh, no, no, no, no, I did not want to go.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I can tell you right now. My wife is walking
- 12:51Speaker 1: that door. I'm like, I don't want to go anymore.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I did, and uh well a lot of it was
- 12:58Speaker 1: my back, I mean my back killing me right now.
- 13:01Speaker 1: To go see your doctor. No. He called me last
- 13:04Speaker 1: night and he said, yeah, I heard who's the guy
- 13:06Speaker 1: you're on with Stoops. I'm like, no, Scoop, Yes, it's
- 13:10Speaker 1: actually Mark Steps. That's exactly what I was thinking. Does
- 13:14Speaker 1: he think that Mark Stoops is on my radio show
- 13:16Speaker 1: as my producer. I mean, man way to fall down.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But no, I said, no. His name is Justin Kalen,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but he goes by Scoots, so he goes, Yeah, I
- 13:25Speaker 1: was listening to you all yesterday. So anyway, but yeah, Mark,
- 13:28Speaker 1: Mark called me last night and he said, hey, are
- 13:30Speaker 1: you busy? And then he said, Michael, I can I
- 13:32Speaker 1: can give you some stuff or you can go to
- 13:34Speaker 1: the pharmacy and buy some over the counter stuff. So
- 13:36Speaker 1: that's what he said. He get a heating pan. I'm
- 13:38Speaker 1: getting a massage this afternoon. Oh I am dreading it. No, no, no,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I am literal because I don't even want you to
- 13:46Speaker 1: touch it. It's that bad. And like right now it's
- 13:50Speaker 1: just pulsating, it's just throbbing. It doesn't sound good. No,
- 13:53Speaker 1: it doesn't. And he's like, well you sure it's not
- 13:56Speaker 1: a pinch nerve. I'm like, I'm positive it doesn't radiate
- 13:58Speaker 1: down my leg, Like, is not number pinch nerves? Yes? Suck?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because there's there's like nothing you can do
- 14:06Speaker 1: about it. No, well, yeah there is something you can do.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You can go have surgery. That's true. That's the bad part.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You just got to I mean It's like one of
- 14:12Speaker 1: those things that you just got to let it play
- 14:13Speaker 1: out for a few days. Yeah. All right, Well let's
- 14:15Speaker 1: talk about the bad news. Jackson Cohler dropped his list yesterday.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Uh he dropped U of L in Kansas and kept
- 14:27Speaker 1: the UK and BYU and then last night dropped UK.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I talked about this yesterday. I said, I if UK
- 14:35Speaker 1: doesn't get him, I'm going to have to pro self
- 14:37Speaker 1: proclaim that BYU is now enemy number one because I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: getting tired of BYU getting everything, and you know it's
- 14:46Speaker 1: they're spending the money. Now. Granted, Jackson Cohler did grow
- 14:52Speaker 1: up thirty minutes away from BYU. I think that's why
- 14:55Speaker 1: BYU led the most. But I'm getting to a point
- 14:58Speaker 1: where I am dislike them more than anybody, more than Tennis. Think.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't really hate UO L and I know that
- 15:05Speaker 1: drives the U of L people crazy, But that's why
- 15:07Speaker 1: I do that, because you know, they're they're fine. The
- 15:09Speaker 1: little brothers. Okay, you gotta love little brother a little bit,
- 15:13Speaker 1: but I just don't. I just don't care about you.
- 15:16Speaker 1: So uh now I I am. I'm getting to a
- 15:19Speaker 1: point where I do not like BYU. Is that bad?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Of me. No, is that wrong of me? Maybe wrong? Maybe?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Why is it wrong? It's just it's so funny that
- 15:32Speaker 1: you come on here and you're exclaiming that they're they're
- 15:35Speaker 1: enemy number one. Yeah, like b YU. Really, out of
- 15:39Speaker 1: all the out of all the teams that you can
- 15:41Speaker 1: be threatened by, it's b YU. I'm not threatened by them.
- 15:45Speaker 1: But we continue to lose players to them. Sure, so
- 15:48Speaker 1: we're losing people from the athletic department to them. Where
- 15:50Speaker 1: you're losing players, we're losing all kinds of stuff to them.
- 15:53Speaker 1: The only thing we've gained is a coach, So that's questionable.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I'm not going that far yet. Now come on, now,
- 16:02Speaker 1: let's let's say that if it was me, I wouldn't
- 16:06Speaker 1: deserve that. I would like Mark Pope to come on
- 16:08Speaker 1: this show. Okay, So by you saying that, they're probably
- 16:11Speaker 1: gonna say, hmmm, Michael, your producer saying stuff, let me
- 16:14Speaker 1: put out a disclaimer that I'm not a Kentucky fan. No,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but you are a little bit though. I mean you
- 16:20Speaker 1: support him a little bit, but uh no, I I
- 16:22Speaker 1: I'm to a point now I'm really frustrated with BYU.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I just I don't understand it from Kohler's perspective, like,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I mean, it makes sense for him to go to BYU,
- 16:33Speaker 1: and I'm sure the nil was all right and stuff,
- 16:35Speaker 1: and so it probably did make sense. But if if
- 16:39Speaker 1: you were leaning BYU the entire time, which is what
- 16:41Speaker 1: we were led to believe, why in the world would
- 16:45Speaker 1: you sit through a two hour and forty five minutes
- 16:48Speaker 1: zoom call. Why would you see him? I'm right there too,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I waste that three hours of your life cause I'm
- 16:55Speaker 1: telling you, this is the part that worries me about
- 16:58Speaker 1: Kentucky the most is that people, people athletes are using
- 17:03Speaker 1: Kentucky to get better contracts and more money. That's that's
- 17:08Speaker 1: I promise you that two and a half hour zoom
- 17:11Speaker 1: call probably meant more money. How much more money, I
- 17:16Speaker 1: don't know. But that's what's hurting Kentucky and this and
- 17:21Speaker 1: the people that keep reporting that, ooh, Kentucky has a
- 17:24Speaker 1: zoom call. Stop doing that. That's not reporting. That's lazy,
- 17:28Speaker 1: that is not anything that's taken seriously. Okay, and just
- 17:32Speaker 1: please stop. I implore you, no more breaking news Kentucky
- 17:37Speaker 1: has a zoom call with a player. I mean, it
- 17:39Speaker 1: does feel like more times than not. It's just led
- 17:42Speaker 1: to heartbreak. Hey exactly name maybe Mom Chilovich is the
- 17:48Speaker 1: only one that committed to Kentucky after a zoom call.
- 17:51Speaker 1: All the rest, all fifty thousand of the other ones
- 17:54Speaker 1: have said no, Zoom did a zoom call. I know
- 18:00Speaker 1: that sounds funny, but I'm being serious. You caught me
- 18:03Speaker 1: off guard. I'm just like, oh, let's write his name
- 18:05Speaker 1: zoom tiallo and he still needs to get a zoom
- 18:08Speaker 1: advertisement out of them. But now, I mean that seems
- 18:11Speaker 1: like a layup. Did he really I don't remember it
- 18:14Speaker 1: was just a zoom I thought he came to Lexington.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I mean I think he did both. Okay, well, see
- 18:18Speaker 1: that doesn't count. Then if you're going to do a
- 18:20Speaker 1: zoom call as an introductory thing, that's not report. Uh.
- 18:25Speaker 1: If it's oh no, you just don't want to report.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I want it reported that they're coming to Lexington. Don't
- 18:32Speaker 1: tell me they're doing a zoom call. Zoom call is
- 18:34Speaker 1: not sincere. I'm just telling you it's not. If you
- 18:38Speaker 1: put like I was talking about yesterday, if you were
- 18:41Speaker 1: actually committing to a trip to Lexington to tour the
- 18:45Speaker 1: facilities and the school, that's to be reported Hey, that's
- 18:51Speaker 1: that's like saying back in the day, hey we got
- 18:54Speaker 1: a telephone call, we received a letter from a commitment
- 18:58Speaker 1: or a potential commitment. It's like, this is dumb. It
- 19:02Speaker 1: just the zoom call reporting is dumb and you don't
- 19:05Speaker 1: think it is. I mean, look, people that are fans
- 19:09Speaker 1: of teams, they just there's so many times where you're
- 19:13Speaker 1: just clamoring for any sort of information you can get,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and if the reporter deems that that's worthy information, then yeah,
- 19:19Speaker 1: I mean I don't. I don't hate it nearly as
- 19:21Speaker 1: much as you I do. I just I don't hate it.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I just don't like it. I think it's it's laziness.
- 19:26Speaker 1: It's like, oh, I got to put this out. We
- 19:28Speaker 1: got a zoom call today. It's like who cares? Really
- 19:31Speaker 1: who I had a phone call with a potential client.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Nobody cares about the phone call. People care about the result. Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: that's what you care about. Now. If a player's coming
- 19:41Speaker 1: here to potentially look at Kentucky and visit the school
- 19:45Speaker 1: in person, I think that's worthy of news. Zoom calls
- 19:48Speaker 1: are not so. And maybe I'm wrong. I'll ask the
- 19:52Speaker 1: text people out there. You tell me if you think
- 19:55Speaker 1: it's worthy of it if I will two four one
- 19:57Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty. So there you go. All right, we're
- 20:00Speaker 1: gonna take a break. Uh, let's see if you get
- 20:03Speaker 1: my song in today, cause you know, I know it
- 20:05Speaker 1: won't get in the second hour. And I don't want
- 20:08Speaker 1: you to suggest any music for him. I've actually got
- 20:12Speaker 1: the whole show's music. Oh you do, but I wanted
- 20:15Speaker 1: to hear. I want you to only give him the
- 20:17Speaker 1: uh uh No, I want you to play the music
- 20:20Speaker 1: you picked out the first hour. I want to experience, okay,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I want the full experience of what music he will pick.
- 20:28Speaker 1: All right, and then we'll talk about it on Monday,
- 20:30Speaker 1: whether I liked it or not. How's that sounds good? Yeah? Yeah, no,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I think that's what is? So please have you texted
- 20:36Speaker 1: it to him? No? Okay, good, I just got him
- 20:38Speaker 1: pulled up. But I can I can't get rid of
- 20:40Speaker 1: close every one of them. Yep, close every one of them.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I'm not going to close the three that I'm no. No, no,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I want you to play the three you've got. Did
- 20:46Speaker 1: you get the one I got? Yeah? Okay, all right,
- 20:49Speaker 1: So let's go ahead and take our first break. Five
- 20:50Speaker 1: two four fourteen fifty. You want to text in, I'll
- 20:53Speaker 1: get to your text as soon as we'll get back.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Say right there, this is Friday edition, Michael Bennett's happy.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Down to make as boxing.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I haven't thought of revenue is getting so excited Star
- 21:07Speaker 1: Rockets in Fight can't be worse than this? Why is this?
- 21:39Speaker 1: My god? Man, I feel like I'm down in Pabo,
- 21:44Speaker 1: San Lucas. Let me say a romantic radio give ahead,
- 21:47Speaker 1: a little bit sly cow play there you picks up
- 21:52Speaker 1: a little bit Jan Southern? Are you familiar with Jane Southern? No, Southern?
- 22:01Speaker 1: He's a what that's his name? J D Souther Southern.
- 22:05Speaker 1: That's horrible. My gosh, that might have been the worst
- 22:08Speaker 1: song you've ever piver. Yeah, yeah, I don't disagree with you.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I really don't. How did you picked that? So I
- 22:15Speaker 1: did the thing today where I searched similar artists to
- 22:18Speaker 1: what you sent me. Oh okay, I don't know if
- 22:19Speaker 1: this guy fits the criteria. Wow that that was just terrible.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But I'm so sorry, but man, pick the Friday up.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It's like, my gosh, I don't know whether I have
- 22:30Speaker 1: a tequila in front of me or a big, gigantic doobie.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I just don't know. Matter of fact, it was so bad,
- 22:35Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna play it on the way out.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I love that, do it?
- 22:41Speaker 3: That?
- 22:42Speaker 1: My goodness? I mean, I'm looking for the tortillas and
- 22:45Speaker 1: salsa right now. I mean, you're getting ready to have
- 22:48Speaker 1: the best chips in the world in a few minutes.
- 22:51Speaker 1: But of course I won't be there. I wasn't invited,
- 22:54Speaker 1: but some bus have lunch with us. Yeah, I really
- 22:58Speaker 1: appreciate that. Uh, John texted out five two four one
- 23:02Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty. Trevor is a fun guy, so hang
- 23:05Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, he does his job pretty darn good.
- 23:08Speaker 1: So exactly, that's well said. John missed out on Cohler
- 23:11Speaker 1: to BYU though. Was it money promises or just basketball
- 23:15Speaker 1: love at first sight with Michael or I'm sorry, basketball
- 23:21Speaker 1: with first sight with Mitchell. I just hope Coach Pope
- 23:25Speaker 1: and our cats can look lock Mitchell down if the
- 23:28Speaker 1: courts do grant us the possibility. I love that he
- 23:31Speaker 1: played in the SEC. That experience will definitely help. All right, Well,
- 23:35Speaker 1: here's what I think, and this is without knowing I
- 23:40Speaker 1: firmly believe this. I think that the young man Cohler
- 23:45Speaker 1: used Kentucky. He knew BYU was always in the lead
- 23:50Speaker 1: from the get go, and a lot of it has due.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And I don't blame him. I mean BYU is thirty
- 23:55Speaker 1: minutes from his house. I mean that's what I would
- 23:58Speaker 1: want to do, is like, why would I want to
- 24:00Speaker 1: go anywhere else make a bunch of money? And so
- 24:03Speaker 1: he negotiated using you UK to get more money out
- 24:06Speaker 1: of BYU and hopefully b while you kind of woke
- 24:10Speaker 1: up and said, well, come on, man, we know you
- 24:12Speaker 1: want to come here because I would go there for
- 24:16Speaker 1: one year, making a lot of money and being thirty
- 24:21Speaker 1: minutes from my mom and dad and guess what they
- 24:24Speaker 1: get to come watch your final year. Yeah, so that's
- 24:27Speaker 1: a great idea. That's what he Honestly, that's what he
- 24:30Speaker 1: should have done, as selfish as I'm going to be,
- 24:34Speaker 1: that's what he should have done. Now he's doing the
- 24:36Speaker 1: right thing. Is he going to sign the piece of
- 24:38Speaker 1: paper that says you can't fornicate and drink and all
- 24:42Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. It's going to be interesting to Yes,
- 24:46Speaker 1: you have to sign that in order to go to BYU.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That's what happened in that quarterback that left. I was
- 24:51Speaker 1: about to get kicked out or be punished and not
- 24:54Speaker 1: play a few games. So what does he do? He
- 24:56Speaker 1: transferred to Tulane. You remember that last year, so, which
- 25:01Speaker 1: I thought was dumb on by. Let's wake up people.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get on the whole Christian know how
- 25:07Speaker 1: you can go to college and not to me that
- 25:10Speaker 1: seems impossible. It's it is impossible. And a lot of
- 25:14Speaker 1: the other things. You'll listen, Hormones are hormones, and I
- 25:19Speaker 1: know what happens today. I mean, so I'm not gonna
- 25:22Speaker 1: say you can't do that. And yes, I'm a Christian,
- 25:25Speaker 1: but man, I didn't want to sound like a horn dog.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I know I feel the same way with that. I
- 25:32Speaker 1: know anyway, Sorry about that, but listen, Uh, listen, Today's
- 25:40Speaker 1: a big day. Today is the day we find out
- 25:43Speaker 1: about Mitchell. And there's all kinds of stuff going on
- 25:46Speaker 1: about it too. Uh. You got the SEC Commissioner come
- 25:50Speaker 1: out and saying some things. Uh, you got the judge
- 25:53Speaker 1: that's supposed to make his ruling today. I feel like
- 25:56Speaker 1: I'm really loud right now, am I I'm excited and
- 25:59Speaker 1: you're loud every day. Well, okay, it's no different than
- 26:02Speaker 1: any other day. Well, you're right about that. So let's
- 26:05Speaker 1: talk about Well, I want to get through the text
- 26:08Speaker 1: message before I get on the whole tangent about the
- 26:10Speaker 1: SEC Commissioner Greg Zankee. So let me get through these
- 26:13Speaker 1: and then we'll talk about that some more. One person said,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I don't believe there's a wrong answer to this. What
- 26:20Speaker 1: is your favorite style of barb barbecue? Wow, that's that's
- 26:25Speaker 1: quite a segue right there. I would have to go
- 26:28Speaker 1: with Kansas City spread that molasses sauce all over my Uh,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I can't say that. I'm not going to say that.
- 26:36Speaker 1: So anyway, Uh, let's what what I'll ask you? What's
- 26:40Speaker 1: your favorite style of barbecue? So I'm not a big
- 26:43Speaker 1: barbecue fan. What I've mentioned that before. I mean, it's okay,
- 26:48Speaker 1: it's all right. That is you talk about an American
- 26:51Speaker 1: that is Unamerican. But if I'm eating barbecue, I don't
- 26:55Speaker 1: have a specific style that I like. But I'll tell
- 26:57Speaker 1: you right now. If it's Carolina Gold, Oh, sign me up.
- 27:01Speaker 1: See that's how I am. I love Carolina Gold. Carolina's
- 27:06Speaker 1: number two. Alabama's number one for me. Uh there's a
- 27:09Speaker 1: place down in Alabama that I love to and the
- 27:13Speaker 1: name of Dreamland. That's it. Dreamland Barbecue it's probably my favorite,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and then the Rendezvous in Memphis, Tennessee is my second favorite.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm a ribs guy. I love ribs, and sorry, Texas,
- 27:27Speaker 1: you're not barbecue. You'd rather eat wings, and those aren't
- 27:31Speaker 1: considered barbecue, right, barbecue? No, all the barbecue places have wings. Yes,
- 27:37Speaker 1: you are correct. To me, barbecue is pork and possibly brisket.
- 27:42Speaker 1: What about sausage, Yeah, no, sausage is It's just a
- 27:47Speaker 1: It's a nice compliment to me. There's barbecue, then there's compliments.
- 27:51Speaker 1: That's what I'll say. You got pork shoulder for the sandwiches,
- 27:55Speaker 1: you know, shredded pork. You got ribs. That's your barbecue.
- 28:00Speaker 1: You got brisket, that's your barbecue. The compliments are wings
- 28:04Speaker 1: and sausage. Rendezvous. If have you ever been to Memphis, Tennessee? No,
- 28:09Speaker 1: or as they say down there, gonna count my blessing Milfles. Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 1: My my wife before we got married, lived there. She
- 28:16Speaker 1: got her first job in Millfles, and so I went
- 28:19Speaker 1: down there quite a bit and she would take me
- 28:20Speaker 1: to the Rendezvous. Best some of the best ribs you
- 28:22Speaker 1: ever had in your life. But Dreamland is the all
- 28:25Speaker 1: time best run. They got banana pudding. I don't like bananas.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Oh I forgot that? Yeah, who does Dreamland? Yeah? Yeah, fantastic. Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 1: When I drove down to go see UK play Auburn
- 28:37Speaker 1: a few years back, had stop at Dreamland and man
- 28:41Speaker 1: it was fantastic. So yeah, that's that's that. To me,
- 28:45Speaker 1: Texas is not barbecue at Southwest crap. So Kansas, sorry,
- 28:49Speaker 1: Kansas is not barbecue to me, that's not That's might
- 28:52Speaker 1: be barbecue, but it's not Southern barbecue. And to me,
- 28:55Speaker 1: the best one kind of like that. Did you ever
- 28:57Speaker 1: see the movie here call me to ever? Uh? Fried
- 29:02Speaker 1: Green Tomatoes? I know, I am. I'm trying to get
- 29:05Speaker 1: myself psyched up for this Fried Green Tomatoes where the
- 29:09Speaker 1: where the women barbecued her dead husband ever?
- 29:12Speaker 2: What?
- 29:13Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah and so yeah, because he was abusive and
- 29:18Speaker 1: uh and so they to get rid of the body,
- 29:20Speaker 1: they barbecue him. And then the inspector, the police officer
- 29:24Speaker 1: that came by to investigate it, said I'm going to
- 29:28Speaker 1: try your barbecue. And after he ate it, because he
- 29:30Speaker 1: ate the guy, he goes, that's the best damn barbecue
- 29:33Speaker 1: I've ever had in my life. That's so faun Oh
- 29:36Speaker 1: it is, I know, but Jeff playing the cop, I
- 29:39Speaker 1: don't know. It was a creepy guy. That was really
- 29:41Speaker 1: it was part of that was a really good movie.
- 29:43Speaker 1: The other parts of it was just like, Okay, this
- 29:45Speaker 1: is a little too much for me. One person texted in,
- 29:49Speaker 1: let me get there. Uh. Bazooka was a popular bubble
- 29:54Speaker 1: gum back in the day. It still is. My wife
- 29:57Speaker 1: just bought me a pack of bzukahs. Did you read
- 30:00Speaker 1: the cartoons on them?
- 30:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah you did. I mean if there's if there
- 30:05Speaker 1: was a candy package that had any sort of entertainment
- 30:08Speaker 1: only I was all about good for you, like laughy
- 30:12Speaker 1: Taffy's with the joke. I have to read those two
- 30:14Speaker 1: jokes every single time I have a laffy taff which
- 30:17Speaker 1: is few and far between now. But yeah, if there's
- 30:20Speaker 1: entertainment on the outside of the rap heck, I remember,
- 30:22Speaker 1: do you remember was it the stripes? The zebra stripes? Come? Oh,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I remember that? Like yeah, And like the rapper was
- 30:31Speaker 1: a tattoo. I didn't know that if I'm remembering correctly, Yeah,
- 30:36Speaker 1: a rapper was a tattoo. You just get it wet,
- 30:38Speaker 1: put it on your arm. Super Bubbles my favorite. I'll
- 30:41Speaker 1: just we've had this discussion. I'll put discussed. I'll put
- 30:45Speaker 1: packs of it in my You mean the double bubble
- 30:47Speaker 1: or double bubble. No, well, no, the one in the
- 30:50Speaker 1: yellow and blue package. It's red and blue. Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 30:56Speaker 1: One person said, I think the state Fair was held
- 30:58Speaker 1: at least on one occasion a chill downs. I never
- 31:02Speaker 1: knew that. You're gonna fact check that. I mean, that's interesting.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Let's see, they got a player from us, they got
- 31:10Speaker 1: an assistant coach. Wonder why they didn't take our coach
- 31:13Speaker 1: by You may be smarter than we think. Oh, I'm
- 31:17Speaker 1: not there yet. Let's just see. Let the season play
- 31:21Speaker 1: out exactly. I want to see what the season does
- 31:25Speaker 1: what Ohio guy said. In twenty eleven, Brandon Davies got
- 31:29Speaker 1: kicked off the BYU basketball Day because he was caught
- 31:32Speaker 1: being horny with a girl. Oh my gosh, I'm sorry.
- 31:37Speaker 1: I opened that can of worms because I'm worried more
- 31:40Speaker 1: people are gonna start talking about that. Listen, it's the
- 31:46Speaker 1: twenty first century. I mean, I get what BYU is.
- 31:50Speaker 1: It's a Mormon school and they're trying to be the
- 31:54Speaker 1: way they are. But I mean, I'm not gonna make
- 31:57Speaker 1: fun of it. But it's the twenty first century. Everybody's
- 32:01Speaker 1: gonna when they get out in the real world, are
- 32:04Speaker 1: they gonna act that same way? I mean, let them
- 32:07Speaker 1: grow up in the real world exactly. Didn't Alan Jackson
- 32:14Speaker 1: say it best here in the real world. Isn't that
- 32:18Speaker 1: a song? What a fantastic song that was? And it's like,
- 32:22Speaker 1: that's what. You can't keep these young people sheltered the
- 32:26Speaker 1: entire time they're at college. Okay, That's always been my
- 32:29Speaker 1: disagreement with b YU. Let them live in the real
- 32:33Speaker 1: world because they're gonna have to face it one day
- 32:35Speaker 1: and if you keep them sheltered and then all of
- 32:37Speaker 1: a sudden, they might go wild once they see what
- 32:40Speaker 1: the real world is like. Yeah, But I mean, at
- 32:42Speaker 1: the same time, they have that choice to make. I'm
- 32:44Speaker 1: sure they know everything about BYU before they make the
- 32:48Speaker 1: decision to be a student there or athlete whatever it is.
- 32:51Speaker 1: One Texter said, there's more to the story with that
- 32:54Speaker 1: BYU quarterback. He said for former BYU quarterback Jake rats
- 32:59Speaker 1: Laugh faced a civil sexual law assault lawsuit filed in
- 33:03Speaker 1: May twenty twenty five regarding the alleged twenty twenty three incident.
- 33:07Speaker 1: The suit was dismissed in June twenty twenty five after
- 33:09Speaker 1: a private settlement, but the plaintiff filed a new motion
- 33:13Speaker 1: in twenty six cleaning Redslift reached the agreement by missing payment.
- 33:17Speaker 1: My gosh, dude, oh my god, if you'll reach a settlement,
- 33:21Speaker 1: make your freaking payment. Wow, he's ope. I thank you, Texter.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I didn't realize there was more to it. So that's
- 33:28Speaker 1: that's very interesting right there. Okay, let's go ahead and
- 33:31Speaker 1: take a break. I do want to get to the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Greg's Sankee story, and I'll get back to your text
- 33:36Speaker 1: as well as soon as we get back. Say right there,
- 33:39Speaker 1: Mara Jessic Kat's coming right up on this beautiful friday.
- 33:45Speaker 4: You got a.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Friend when the road rough ahead, and your mile moth
- 33:55Speaker 2: from your nice wall man.
- 33:58Speaker 4: You just.
- 34:00Speaker 1: As what you got over change the badgers and lines
- 34:30Speaker 1: and darted day, balance the gods, the god. That's so funny.
- 34:51Speaker 1: You play that song right now. I'm getting ready to
- 34:53Speaker 1: talk about the SEC commissioner. Greg. Thank you. You talk
- 34:57Speaker 1: about the power of gold right there, and he's trying
- 35:00Speaker 1: to get all kinds of power right now, So thank
- 35:02Speaker 1: you for doing that. Greg, Sankie fouls an affidavit against
- 35:06Speaker 1: pro athletes returning to college down Uh in Louisiana yesterday,
- 35:11Speaker 1: which involves former LSU player RJ. Luis calling it a
- 35:16Speaker 1: competitive disadvantage. And this now makes the second time that
- 35:21Speaker 1: Greg Sankie has gone after one of his own SEC schools. Uh.
- 35:27Speaker 1: If you remember, it wasn't that long ago that he
- 35:30Speaker 1: also went against Alabama. One of the former basketball players
- 35:33Speaker 1: down there, John's Beneco and huh Bedekio Betiaco. There you go, okay, Bediaco,
- 35:42Speaker 1: Well whatever, I was trying to go over it real
- 35:44Speaker 1: quick so you wouldn't say anything. But Louise doesn't eat.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Here's the thing about it. Louise doesn't have any eligibility left.
- 35:54Speaker 1: He's already signed a two way contract last year with
- 35:56Speaker 1: the Jazz. Lewis the way, what's that? It's Lewis? Oh Louise.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I like saying Louise. It just sounds like he's you know,
- 36:03Speaker 1: South America. I think it's kind of cool. I'm good
- 36:06Speaker 1: with it, all right, Lewis, Well, then spell it l
- 36:08Speaker 1: o U. I s okay, geez, I'll dare them. Well,
- 36:13Speaker 1: I agree, But you know he signed with the Jazz
- 36:15Speaker 1: and then he got cut by them and or traded
- 36:18Speaker 1: to Boston last August. And now granted he went straight
- 36:22Speaker 1: to Boston to their G League affiliate, never played a game.
- 36:26Speaker 1: In your mind, does he qualify as a college basketball
- 36:29Speaker 1: player if he never played a game, then yes, really,
- 36:32Speaker 1: I look, even though he signed a contract with the
- 36:37Speaker 1: Jazz and the Celtics. To me, you're done, but go ahead,
- 36:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I mean, if if the opera, if you
- 36:44Speaker 1: can see the riding on the wall, and the opportunity
- 36:46Speaker 1: is not there for you, and they're willing to let
- 36:48Speaker 1: you out of your contract and you never stepped onto
- 36:51Speaker 1: the floor, right, I think it's okay. I'm good to me,
- 36:55Speaker 1: it's but but but here's the other issue. He, like
- 36:58Speaker 1: I said a minute ago, he has no eligibility left. Well,
- 37:02Speaker 1: he would fit the five for five crists exactly, the
- 37:04Speaker 1: five for five criteria. So I don't know. I'm a
- 37:08Speaker 1: little surprised that Greg Sanki is going after his own schools,
- 37:13Speaker 1: but I kind of respect that. Now he is also
- 37:17Speaker 1: after Kentucky too, with if you want to include him.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Not wanting for this judge to pass this ruling today
- 37:29Speaker 1: because he says those players don't qualify either. So is
- 37:33Speaker 1: he coming off to be the judge and the juror
- 37:35Speaker 1: of all somebody has to be. I'm gonna play devil's
- 37:39Speaker 1: advocate for you because the NCAA is not doing a thing.
- 37:42Speaker 1: But they're not. Fine, he's not qualified to do a thing.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Why not? He's the commissioner of the SEC. I mean,
- 37:49Speaker 1: that's far from a position of power to make a
- 37:53Speaker 1: decision like that. It's not really So the commissioner of
- 37:56Speaker 1: the baseball Major League Baseball doesn't have any power. The
- 38:00Speaker 1: NBA commissioner doesn't have any power. Why is it different
- 38:04Speaker 1: because they're over the whole league, whereas this guy's just
- 38:06Speaker 1: over the SEC. Okay, if he's over if this dude,
- 38:11Speaker 1: he's ruling against the SEC schools. So the two I
- 38:16Speaker 1: just the two I'm saying, Yeah, that one for Lewis
- 38:19Speaker 1: is at r J. Lewis is at LSU. The other
- 38:22Speaker 1: one was that Alabama. The third one is at Kentucky.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So and so he's trying to say something. I mean, granted,
- 38:31Speaker 1: I just don't think he has I'm with youa, I'm
- 38:33Speaker 1: just playing devil's advocate. He doesn't really have a leg
- 38:36Speaker 1: to stand on. But he's out there trying to be
- 38:40Speaker 1: a leader and rule against something. I mean, it's like,
- 38:43Speaker 1: at some point to me, justin these athletes have to
- 38:48Speaker 1: face the facts that maybe I'm not good enough to
- 38:52Speaker 1: make the NBA. I might be good enough to play elsewhere, Europe, Asia,
- 38:57Speaker 1: anywhere else. But and when you get to that point,
- 39:01Speaker 1: there's no looking back and say, well, let me play
- 39:03Speaker 1: one or two more years. I got two or three
- 39:05Speaker 1: years of college eligibility left because I left way too early. No, no, no, no,
- 39:09Speaker 1: no no, You've already made the decision to leave college.
- 39:13Speaker 1: This is where I truly believe this. You've made the
- 39:16Speaker 1: decision to leave college. You found out you're not good
- 39:19Speaker 1: enough to make it where you thought you were gonna
- 39:21Speaker 1: make it. Guess what, your career's over. It's time to
- 39:25Speaker 1: find another career. Am I wrong about that? I mean
- 39:28Speaker 1: I used to have that mindset. Oh don't anymore. I
- 39:31Speaker 1: used to be right there with you. Okay, you made
- 39:33Speaker 1: a decision. You're grown enough where you can do that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: And sometimes we make wrong decisions, very much my mindset
- 39:40Speaker 1: up to what two three years ago. Okay, But the
- 39:43Speaker 1: whole nil thing, that's just it muddies all the water
- 39:46Speaker 1: so much that it just it's it's honestly confused me
- 39:50Speaker 1: in my head, like, I don't. If you have the
- 39:52Speaker 1: opportunity to come back and you could make a lot
- 39:54Speaker 1: of money, then yeah, do it. Like it just seems
- 39:58Speaker 1: like a no brainer, and guys like it to the
- 40:01Speaker 1: point that maybe you're not gonna make it. I do
- 40:05Speaker 1: think there's exceptions to that. There are guys out there
- 40:08Speaker 1: that maybe went out too early and they're gonna get
- 40:11Speaker 1: another opportunity to come back to college basketball. And I
- 40:14Speaker 1: think r. J. Lewis is a perfect example of a
- 40:16Speaker 1: guy that he could come back to college basketball, have
- 40:19Speaker 1: a great year, and play himself into a much higher
- 40:22Speaker 1: draft selection and potential good NBA career. You think one
- 40:26Speaker 1: year coming back to college is going to make a
- 40:28Speaker 1: difference for him If it's I really don't. If it's
- 40:30Speaker 1: that special, yeah, I just don't. You come in and
- 40:33Speaker 1: put up crazy numbers, then yeah, that's going to help
- 40:36Speaker 1: you in the future, no doubt. I just I feel like, listen,
- 40:39Speaker 1: if these if the Jazz and the Celtics don't see
- 40:43Speaker 1: anything in him and nobody else is picking him up,
- 40:45Speaker 1: one more year of college is not going to change
- 40:47Speaker 1: anything with those teams. It's like, oh, you know what,
- 40:50Speaker 1: I think I made a wrong decision. We need to
- 40:53Speaker 1: have this player come back. He scored ten more points
- 40:56Speaker 1: this year. I just don't see that happening. I just
- 40:59Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's never gonna happen. Yet it potentially
- 41:03Speaker 1: could happen, but I don't see it happening. I really
- 41:06Speaker 1: don't more times than not. And these young people, I
- 41:09Speaker 1: feel bad for them because it's like, maybe I should
- 41:12Speaker 1: have taken school a little more serious and got a
- 41:14Speaker 1: degree and thought that, well, maybe what's life going to
- 41:19Speaker 1: be like after sports is over? Because one day, you know,
- 41:23Speaker 1: what is it? They say in Moneyball? Some people are
- 41:27Speaker 1: told at different ages, but we're all told we can't
- 41:32Speaker 1: play the game anymore. And I thought that was a
- 41:36Speaker 1: powerful statement because the fact these players are simply being
- 41:40Speaker 1: told right now, you're not going to be able to
- 41:43Speaker 1: play in the NBA, and I think it's hard for
- 41:45Speaker 1: them to face. I still think in their mindset that
- 41:48Speaker 1: why not I can still make it. Well, I'll just
- 41:50Speaker 1: go back here and make a bunch of money. Right now.
- 41:53Speaker 1: They'll pay me a bunch and then I'll be set
- 41:55Speaker 1: for life. No, that that amount of money, that they're
- 41:58Speaker 1: going to be giving does not take care of you
- 42:00Speaker 1: the rest of your life unless you're financially smart with it.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Well it could nobody well you. That money needs to
- 42:08Speaker 1: be put away and not spent. By the way, I
- 42:10Speaker 1: saw a post earlier this week of a lot of
- 42:13Speaker 1: the first round rookies in the NFL and what they
- 42:15Speaker 1: spent their first paycheck on, right, and it was all
- 42:18Speaker 1: this extravagant stuff, house cars, YadA, YadA, terrible. But there
- 42:22Speaker 1: was one player, and I wish I could find the
- 42:24Speaker 1: post so I could give this young man credit. But
- 42:27Speaker 1: his he put all of his first check into like
- 42:31Speaker 1: a four to oh one k good for him, or
- 42:33Speaker 1: into the stock market something the hardest thing he could have.
- 42:36Speaker 1: That's incredible because he's going to quadruple his money by
- 42:39Speaker 1: the time he's fifty or sixty, and guess what he
- 42:43Speaker 1: will be said, that's how you start a retirement. You
- 42:45Speaker 1: don't spend it on extravagant stuff. And that's where I
- 42:49Speaker 1: mean parenting helps uh A good a good mentor, and
- 42:56Speaker 1: if they have a good mentor, an agent and just
- 42:59Speaker 1: say hate, we're not spending any money on this. That's
- 43:02Speaker 1: where Josh Allan I always liked Josh Joe hinz Allen
- 43:06Speaker 1: but both shut up. Wow, but that's where he was smart.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I mean, he didn't go buy expensive crap. He saved
- 43:13Speaker 1: it for his family, so good for him. Patrick texted
- 43:16Speaker 1: and said, Hey, Michael, how was the consert last night? Well,
- 43:19Speaker 1: you gotta go back and listen to this beginning. Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I talked about him the again of the show, but
- 43:23Speaker 1: that's a I loved it, Patrick, it was fantastic and
- 43:26Speaker 1: I can't wait to see J. D. Shelburn and concert again.
- 43:29Speaker 1: So I'm just I highly recommend him. One texter said
- 43:37Speaker 1: one thing that irks me for no reason, why does
- 43:41Speaker 1: Indiana State continue to live in the past.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Have you?
- 43:44Speaker 1: Uh? Have you seen their concrete slab of a stadium
- 43:48Speaker 1: they play in there? There are peewee stadiums that are better.
- 43:53Speaker 1: It blows my mind. I know they probably don't have
- 43:56Speaker 1: Major D one money, but what they are saying is
- 44:01Speaker 1: now a joke. I don't see. I don't think I
- 44:05Speaker 1: have the Indiana State stadium. It's like, Okay, that's pretty random,
- 44:10Speaker 1: but that doesn't surprise me. I mean, Indiana State football
- 44:14Speaker 1: is not good, is it not? Where Where is he? Oh?
- 44:17Speaker 1: My goodness? That is pretty bad. Oh yeah, okay, thank.
- 44:20Speaker 4: You for this.
- 44:21Speaker 1: But it looks like the early days of IYEU. To
- 44:23Speaker 1: be honest with you, I mean, is it still one sided?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Because that's kind of how that's kind of how e
- 44:31Speaker 1: Ku and Western was for a while. I think e
- 44:34Speaker 1: Ku is still one sided. Why would you ever build
- 44:37Speaker 1: a one sided stadium? I mean, why build a two
- 44:40Speaker 1: sided stadium if you can't fill it on the wright?
- 44:42Speaker 1: But but but you know, but here's what you do.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You start small on both sides, okay, because it's just
- 44:49Speaker 1: it's just weird that the crowd noise is coming from
- 44:52Speaker 1: one side. If I'm the visiting team, I want to
- 44:56Speaker 1: be on the side that doesn't have a stadium. I
- 44:58Speaker 1: just that's weird. That would be gre Yeah exactly, And
- 45:01Speaker 1: I get I don't know if it's the truth or not,
- 45:03Speaker 1: but I bet the home team was playing on that
- 45:07Speaker 1: the side of the crowd. But anyway, that's just weird.
- 45:10Speaker 1: All Right, we gotta take a break. You're gone, Yeah,
- 45:13Speaker 1: but don't worry, Illinois Texter. I'm still gonna be here.
- 45:15Speaker 1: According to you, Chris Trevor's coming in. Who is he here?
- 45:18Speaker 4: Now?
- 45:18Speaker 1: Do I sound just like? Is he oh oh, we're
- 45:21Speaker 1: all that's right. You do sound just okay, Sorry, no,
- 45:25Speaker 1: you sound sound completely different. All right, have a great weekend.
- 45:29Speaker 1: One more hour of Just the Cats, coming right up
- 45:31Speaker 1: with somebody else see in a minute. Welcome to Just
- 45:53Speaker 1: the Cats with Michael Bennett. All right out number two
- 46:01Speaker 1: on this Friday five two three four fourteen fifty. If
- 46:03Speaker 1: you want to call in five oh two uh four
- 46:06Speaker 1: one four fourteen fifty, you want to text in on
- 46:08Speaker 1: the Whiskey Thief text line and joining me now is
- 46:11Speaker 1: a new producer I've never met before. But will you
- 46:14Speaker 1: please tell me your name? I'm Trevor a cigarette My god,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm breaking. Oh my gosh. Man, that is no way
- 46:23Speaker 1: to meet a new producer, all right. Not a good
- 46:25Speaker 1: impersonation either, See right there, you sound just like him. Yeah, okay, No,
- 46:31Speaker 1: I don't know anyway. But if you know Trevor Kelsey
- 46:36Speaker 1: at all, you know running late is his special Is it? Really? Are?
- 46:40Speaker 1: What do you mean? Well, how do you start a
- 46:42Speaker 1: show if he's running late on the radio. I shouldn't
- 46:45Speaker 1: say that running late in the morning is his specialty.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Oh really, Trevor is very much not a morning guy,
- 46:51Speaker 1: So I I had anticipated he wouldn't be here right
- 46:54Speaker 1: there already. We have a difference because I am a
- 46:56Speaker 1: morning guy. Oh you yeah, you all. In terms of
- 46:58Speaker 1: your schedules, sleep schedules, you are way different. Really. Yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I just love getting up in the morning. So anyway,
- 47:06Speaker 1: it's always been exactly. I love sitting on my deck
- 47:12Speaker 1: in the morning and just reading and enjoying the morning
- 47:15Speaker 1: out there, especially when it's get a little cooler like
- 47:17Speaker 1: it was today, a little fog out there. Today is morning. Yeah,
- 47:22Speaker 1: you got plans for the weekend as of now? No real,
- 47:26Speaker 1: when he's just gonna be one of the busiest weekends,
- 47:27Speaker 1: have her for you. That's exactly where here we go.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Every time I don't have plans, it turns out being creagy. Well,
- 47:34Speaker 1: I'm glad to have you for a few more minutes.
- 47:35Speaker 1: That makes me happy. Let's get back to the whisky
- 47:37Speaker 1: thief text line. Uh, one person texted and one thing
- 47:40Speaker 1: that irks me for no reason. Oh no, we talked
- 47:43Speaker 1: about this, Okay, I apologize four and eight handily texted
- 47:46Speaker 1: in Speaking of gate cards, Michael, wonder how many trips
- 47:50Speaker 1: by ASA made to the gate before he got Okay,
- 47:53Speaker 1: that's a great question, because he continues to do what
- 47:57Speaker 1: my sovereign spirit continues to do. Now, granted sovereign spirit,
- 48:02Speaker 1: my horse is starting to come out of the gate,
- 48:05Speaker 1: so hopefully he doesn't do that when he gets his
- 48:07Speaker 1: first start. But he's getting better at it, so I
- 48:09Speaker 1: appreciate that. One person said, I kind of agree with Scoots.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It's almost like a senator trying to make an executive order.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I respect Sankie for trying to do this within his
- 48:21Speaker 1: own conference, but that's a lot of power, which, if
- 48:24Speaker 1: it's given, could be a bad precedent set for the
- 48:28Speaker 1: future within conferences. Somebody has to though, I mean, I
- 48:32Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, but somebody's got to set a
- 48:36Speaker 1: Don't we need precedences in college sports today? I mean,
- 48:39Speaker 1: am I wrong about that? Don't we need to set
- 48:42Speaker 1: a precedent for something if it's a good precedent. Yeah, well,
- 48:48Speaker 1: some things are gonna be bad, but we've gone so
- 48:51Speaker 1: far to one side. Unfortunately, what's gonna happen. We're gonna
- 48:55Speaker 1: go so far to the other side, and that's gonna
- 48:58Speaker 1: really make it even worse for a time. I'm period
- 49:00Speaker 1: until we find a balance, somebody's gotta speak up and
- 49:04Speaker 1: do something. I'm glad Greg Sankie's doing something I am.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I'm glad he is. And he's not saying it against
- 49:10Speaker 1: Michigan UCLA, Duke or any of those teams. He's saying
- 49:15Speaker 1: it against his own teams. That's what a leader does.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I respect him. I'll respect this text. Or for agreeing
- 49:24Speaker 1: with Okay, fine, I knew you're you just want to
- 49:27Speaker 1: have somebody to agree with you. But I agree with him,
- 49:30Speaker 1: though I do partially, not completely, I partially agree with him.
- 49:36Speaker 1: One person said that was the mindset until Indiana started
- 49:39Speaker 1: benefiting from signing thirty year old, give me a break?
- 49:44Speaker 1: Oh is this the Lexington text?
- 49:46Speaker 4: Oh?
- 49:47Speaker 1: I love him, He's one of my favorite. Point me out,
- 49:51Speaker 1: one thirty year old that Indiana's signed. You're a goop.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Patrick texted, and Trevor sounds weird today. He sounds like Justin.
- 50:00Speaker 1: That's right, he sounds like me. I don't sound like him.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Oh really? Yeah, okay, we'll see about that. By the way, Uh,
- 50:09Speaker 1: quit looking over there, pay attention to me. You know
- 50:12Speaker 1: what I'm looking at when I walk over, I'm looking
- 50:14Speaker 1: at the YouTube stream to look at you because I
- 50:17Speaker 1: can't see you. Is that okay? Oh, I was worried
- 50:20Speaker 1: about that. You said somebody came in the door. Somebody
- 50:22Speaker 1: came in the door. Okay.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Uh.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Peyton Manning's son, Marshall got's playing the National TV last night.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Marshall Manning. Yeah, what a sweet name. Oh you didn't
- 50:31Speaker 1: know his name. Wouldn't it be great if he played
- 50:34Speaker 1: for Marshall So Marshall University. It's not going to happen.
- 50:37Speaker 1: But he's the backup. Are you ready for this? Because
- 50:41Speaker 1: I didn't realize he. I knew he was young, but
- 50:44Speaker 1: it's like, good lord, he is a He is the
- 50:47Speaker 1: backup freshman quarterback for a school in Chad, new called Baylor.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Evidently it's a boarding school because it's confusing. Why because
- 50:56Speaker 1: it's called Baylor? Yeah, yeah, no, uh, but I evidently
- 51:00Speaker 1: a boarding school he went. He started going there in
- 51:03Speaker 1: eighth grade, so this is his second year there and
- 51:06Speaker 1: he's backup quarterback. Get this to the old miscommit Keegan Croucher.
- 51:13Speaker 1: So who's supposed to be a phenom? By the way? Uh,
- 51:17Speaker 1: And I'm like, wow, he's been going to boarding school,
- 51:20Speaker 1: Peyton Manning son. And by the way, he from the
- 51:24Speaker 1: clips I saw the replays that he churs their highlight.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I get it, but he looked good. I mean, a
- 51:30Speaker 1: freaking ninth grader playing in varsity football and they're playing
- 51:34Speaker 1: Britwood Academy. And if you're not familiar with Brentwood, Brentwood
- 51:37Speaker 1: is just south of Nashville and they're always really good.
- 51:40Speaker 1: In fact, you k had a quarterback that came from Brentwood.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I want to say back. I don't know if it
- 51:48Speaker 1: was the how Mommy Days might have been the Bill
- 51:50Speaker 1: Curry years at Kentucky that came up here that was
- 51:53Speaker 1: pretty good. I don't remember what his name was, the
- 51:55Speaker 1: probably though he's so good. I don't remember who he was,
- 51:57Speaker 1: but uh so, Brentwood Academy's pretty good. And Marshall Manning
- 52:04Speaker 1: looked really good as a ninth grader. He's got more
- 52:07Speaker 1: mobility than pops you think, so, yeah, just a smith,
- 52:11Speaker 1: But does that matter? I mean he might have more mobility,
- 52:14Speaker 1: but I mean Peyton Manny's got two rings. That's all
- 52:17Speaker 1: I need to be convinced by. But uh anyway, uh
- 52:21Speaker 1: so I saw this and I thought that's fantastic. Could
- 52:23Speaker 1: you ever in as an eighth grader, because you know
- 52:28Speaker 1: he grew up in Denver? Could you leave your mom
- 52:32Speaker 1: and dad and home as an eighth grader and move
- 52:35Speaker 1: out to another school. Be tough, be real tough. Yeah,
- 52:39Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know that I could, to be
- 52:41Speaker 1: honest with I don't. I couldn't.
- 52:43Speaker 4: I know it.
- 52:44Speaker 1: As far as it goes for me, I could never
- 52:46Speaker 1: do anything like that. All Right, Michael, my replacements here,
- 52:48Speaker 1: I gotta go. No, we're not done. I am in
- 52:50Speaker 1: the sentence of a conversation and you're taking off. I'm done.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I'm done with this conversation.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Wow.
- 52:55Speaker 1: But that's okay because you got Scoots coming in. So
- 52:58Speaker 1: it's fine. You got Scoots coming in. Yeah, Illinois, there
- 53:01Speaker 1: we go. Yeah, all right, have a good weekend. We'll
- 53:04Speaker 1: see you later. I mean, we're not even taking a break,
- 53:06Speaker 1: and you're just mid producing here. It's just kind of
- 53:09Speaker 1: half producing. But I listen. I watched his I watched
- 53:12Speaker 1: the highlights of him last night. I was thoroughly impressed
- 53:16Speaker 1: by this. I thought he did a phenomenal job. And
- 53:19Speaker 1: it's going to be how much pressure does he have
- 53:23Speaker 1: for being number one? Not not just Peyton Manning's son,
- 53:27Speaker 1: but he's also Eli Manning's nephew, and then Archie Manning's grandson.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I mean, that's just crazy to me. As far as
- 53:37Speaker 1: I'm concerned, I think he's got a tremendous amount of
- 53:40Speaker 1: pressure on him. But I bet he succeeds. I bet
- 53:43Speaker 1: he ends up being a really good quarterback and and
- 53:47Speaker 1: I wish him all the best. So okay, if you'll
- 53:51Speaker 1: stop talking over there too, and you know, maybe talk
- 53:54Speaker 1: to me for a minute. But well, I guess he's
- 53:59Speaker 1: not going to talk to me. But anyway, I don't
- 54:01Speaker 1: know if you saw this or not, but at the
- 54:05Speaker 1: Kentucky State Fair, a horse was electrocuted. And I'm trying
- 54:13Speaker 1: my best not to laugh because the name is absolutely horrible.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Just to let you know, the name was mister Spots,
- 54:21Speaker 1: five year old. I guess it was a standard bred
- 54:24Speaker 1: out there that's doing the Kentucky Horse Show. And you
- 54:27Speaker 1: know those horses, they're not cheap out there, they're very,
- 54:32Speaker 1: very expensive horses. But mister Spots. It's crazy story. So
- 54:36Speaker 1: according to the I don't know if it was a
- 54:39Speaker 1: trainer or the owner or was said, the horse was
- 54:42Speaker 1: kind of freaking out in the stall and wouldn't settle down,
- 54:45Speaker 1: so they brought it out. It settled down, it was okay.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Put it back in the stall, started freaking out, brought
- 54:50Speaker 1: it back out and had the vet check it out.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Now everything's fine, put it back in and electrocuted. So
- 54:56Speaker 1: evidently there was a live beam or something going on
- 54:58Speaker 1: in the stall, and and uh it was. It was
- 55:01Speaker 1: kind of a sad situation. But our thoughts and prayers
- 55:05Speaker 1: go out to mister Spotts and his family and owners
- 55:07Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff, because that's a lot
- 55:09Speaker 1: of work.
- 55:09Speaker 4: You know.
- 55:10Speaker 1: You go, uh, yeah, thanks a lot for waving goodbye
- 55:12Speaker 1: and just taking off on me. That really just not
- 55:15Speaker 1: not nice. But good morning, sir. My name is Michael Bennett.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Good morning man. My name is Trevor Kelsey. You sound
- 55:22Speaker 1: like justin Caitlin as far as I'm concerned. Oh I'm
- 55:25Speaker 1: I didn't know I should be uh dipping skull and
- 55:29Speaker 1: looking at younger ladies in Okay. What what? Oh my gosh, man,
- 55:35Speaker 1: that's the way you're gonna start coming onto this show
- 55:38Speaker 1: with a I've never met you in my life and
- 55:40Speaker 1: that's the way you come on the basically he still
- 55:42Speaker 1: having we're separate rooms. Well that is very true. But
- 55:45Speaker 1: I'm looking at you, so I see what you'll apologize
- 55:47Speaker 1: for that. Yeah, well, you definitely need to apologize for that.
- 55:50Speaker 1: But yeah, anyway, I'd be glad to buy you some
- 55:52Speaker 1: razors and that way you can shave all that off.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Oh this, no, no, this, I grew up and I
- 55:56Speaker 1: gotta look at the George Michael look five o'clock shadows. George,
- 56:00Speaker 1: I can look. That is not a name I would
- 56:02Speaker 1: ever want to compare myself to talking about guys that
- 56:05Speaker 1: like to look at young people. So hell, you know,
- 56:08Speaker 1: he's the lady still loved him even though he had
- 56:10Speaker 1: no interest in him. Yeah, that is very true. All right, now, Trevor,
- 56:14Speaker 1: I don't know you. You don't know me, and that's fine.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Are you from Louisville? I am basically born and raised.
- 56:22Speaker 1: It's spent laid my head for a little bit in
- 56:25Speaker 1: Columbus and and for a brief time at Western uh,
- 56:28Speaker 1: but for the most part. Yeah, been uh been been
- 56:31Speaker 1: louis through and through. Been doing radio since two thousand
- 56:34Speaker 1: and eight. Oh my, you've been in a while. Yeah,
- 56:37Speaker 1: I'm not. This is my first rodeo. I'm sure it's not. No, no, no,
- 56:41Speaker 1: But I just wanted to learn a little bit about
- 56:44Speaker 1: Trevor's life and so I can understand who I'm working with.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Let me let me give you the life forty five minutes.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Let me give you the Valley Burtonelly version of the
- 56:52Speaker 1: Lifetime movie. Oh another reference, Wow, Valerie Burtonelly. Cause you know,
- 56:58Speaker 1: when I think of Vallei Burtonelly, I only think of
- 57:00Speaker 1: one thing. Lifetime movies. Domestic abuse movies. Oh my gosh, No,
- 57:05Speaker 1: that's not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking Eddie van Halen.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I'm going she was married? Did you not know that?
- 57:12Speaker 1: I did not realize she was. She was banging Eddie.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, was she the teacher he was hot for?
- 57:20Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, here we go. No, no, no, she
- 57:23Speaker 1: was uh Panama, stop it. You can't stop digging a hole. Okay,
- 57:30Speaker 1: Uh No, she was Eddie van Halen's first wife. Wolf
- 57:35Speaker 1: Wolfgang Eddie van Halen's uh son, is that's his mom?
- 57:41Speaker 1: I didn't know that was Wolfgang's mom. Yes, so she's
- 57:43Speaker 1: the one to blame for naming a Wolfgang. No, that's
- 57:46Speaker 1: that's Eddie van Halen. That that's that's all his pretent
- 57:49Speaker 1: were in. Right. Well, in the end, he did he
- 57:53Speaker 1: became that kind of a guy, didn't he. I don't
- 57:55Speaker 1: dismine one A. I like Van Halen too, I do too,
- 57:59Speaker 1: uh too, I've always been more I don't know this
- 58:01Speaker 1: is gonna be a pull reference, all right, uh, because
- 58:03Speaker 1: I watched a really good documentary. I was always a
- 58:05Speaker 1: big fan of Randy Rhodes. Okay, if you're familiar with him,
- 58:08Speaker 1: tell me who Randy Roads is. He started in Quiet Riot,
- 58:11Speaker 1: but mainly before he can quite Riot got popular, but
- 58:14Speaker 1: he left them and he was the lead guitarist for
- 58:16Speaker 1: Ozzy when he went solo. Oh cool, that's where I
- 58:18Speaker 1: know him. He is the mister Crawley solo and everything.
- 58:22Speaker 1: But unfortunately he he died at like twenty two, twenty three.
- 58:26Speaker 1: It was a very young, unfortunate thing. But right, Uh,
- 58:29Speaker 1: there's a cool documentary about how he and Eddie Halen
- 58:32Speaker 1: kind of came up on the on the strip together
- 58:35Speaker 1: and we're just almost bitter rivals. And a lot of
- 58:37Speaker 1: people would accuse Eddie Van Allen of ripping off Randy Rhoads. Ah,
- 58:41Speaker 1: and where do you lean? Are you a Randy Roads?
- 58:44Speaker 1: Randy Rhoads Now? Granted, you know, I mean Randy Rhoads
- 58:47Speaker 1: with his passing didn't give us you know, we didn't
- 58:50Speaker 1: have forty years to maybe him for him the water
- 58:52Speaker 1: down his music, like you know Van Halen kicking lead
- 58:55Speaker 1: singers out, like you know we fire producers around here. Wow,
- 59:03Speaker 1: that was just a little, a little tidbit into radio
- 59:06Speaker 1: here at the station. Well done. That's so maybe, I
- 59:10Speaker 1: mean that's always do you do you do that? Like
- 59:12Speaker 1: when I think of like we talked about artists who
- 59:14Speaker 1: are who were stampedon legacy. Yes, you almost kind of
- 59:17Speaker 1: look at a guy like I've said this about Biggie Smallest,
- 59:19Speaker 1: who I loved. Yes, But like I figure, like I
- 59:21Speaker 1: think to myself, like if he doesn't have him killed,
- 59:25Speaker 1: which he did, then if he I mean because this
- 59:29Speaker 1: last album I didn't love as much as his first,
- 59:30Speaker 1: I mean, if if he's still producing albums, do we
- 59:33Speaker 1: put him in the legacy in the you know, the
- 59:35Speaker 1: pedestal that he is because down exactly, I think sometimes
- 59:41Speaker 1: that if these artists would have lived their life out,
- 59:44Speaker 1: would they be as popular as there, Like Kurt Cobain
- 59:50Speaker 1: would be as popular today as they were back in
- 59:55Speaker 1: the day before Kurt Cocaine Uh lost his life. I
- 59:58Speaker 1: mean you could argue, I mean, you can say Pearl
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Jam did continue, but I mean there's also you know
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: for one pearl jam there's no there was if there was,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: there's there's there's seven stabbing westwards and candleboxes out there.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, man, uh you go really dark quickly.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: But no, I I well, there would there would be
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: no food Well would there be a food fighters? Uh? Well, well,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I mean no, I mean I don't know. I mean
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: there we we got Paul McCartney and Wings, but terrible band.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You don't like Wings. I don't like the Beatles. I
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: don't like Paul McCartney. Okay, so if you play a
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Beatles or a Paul McCartney, I'm walking out of the studio. Okay,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: just like the producers have you. You don't like the Beatles. No,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I do not like the Beatles. Okay. Oh that's uh yeah,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: oh yeah, I got I gotta pull this up. There's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a there's a one of my favorite random lines. There's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: a movie called Greedy and uh hold on, I got
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: is that with Michael Douglas. Are Kirk Douglas. It's with
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Michael J. Fox, Yeah, and Kirk Doug. This is the Grandfather? Yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I watched that movie and it's got Phil Hartman in it,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: and Phil Hartman is awesome in that movie. He's so
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: awesome and one of my all time favorite actors. And
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I don't know if I can Okay, what's okay? Oh,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: here we go, Here we go. This is this is
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: one of my just random This is one of those lines.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: It's like, I'm like the only one like me and
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: like two other people know it because we're geeks. But
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: here you go say I didn't like the Beatles and
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I don't like you. No, I didn't like you. Now
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: wait a minute, don't accuse me of saying that already.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Let's get through the first forty minutes more of this show,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and then I'll decide. At that point, I'm assuming that
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you have friends like you've known for a long time,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: just had those insideline joke movies that yes, like another one,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: absolutely I love I'm another friend of mine who does
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: this quote with me. We always end up doing the
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: the Beverlyville Cop two quote, yes, where Surge is like
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: do you want to die for your Camry?
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: No?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I love Surge. I'll do that with I'll do
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that with uh my son who will always send me
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: a text from a random movie and I'm supposed to
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: know what it says, and in nine times out of ten,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I'll know exactly who it'll be from, like the other
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, and uh, it'll
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: be step brothers or any of those things. So yeah,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I one of my good friends here in Louisville will
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: always quote Norbert if you ever watched that movie. I've
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: unfortunately have seen Norbert, Yes, exactly. I don't know what
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: would rank in my most rforable moments of life. Horrible,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: maybe even ahead of my time in Illinois, but that's
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: still uh it's yeah, it's not a good, not a
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: good Eddie Murphy, but that was Eddie Murphy's very low
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: time during the Pluto Nash and Norbert and what was
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: some of the other I mean, well the Hunted Mansion,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: but I'm sure I paid for that. Oh it was terrible.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: It's called money checks. And Adam Sandler was the same way.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I mean, tell me the last time he was in
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: a really good movie. I mean, it's it's it's all
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: been about about it's all been about about a paycheck,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: so which is really unfortunate. So wow, I can tell
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you right now justin Katz is taking a swing to
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: the far left of topics. I never thought we would
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: be talking about on here, which I enjoy. Now I
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: got to I got to figure out a song here
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: because I know you gotta go to break in a minute.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Because I walked in and it's okay. E Sqeez is like, oh,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: by the way, you're doing all the music that you're
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: gonna do. He No, here's the thing I told he
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: had already picked out a bunch of music for you.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: You want to give me like a genre dy No, No,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I want to hear. And then this is what I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: told justin, I want to hear what you want to
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: listen to. So that's where I said, this is how
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna learn about Trevor. I wanted to hear Trevor's
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: music so well that would normally be sublime, but I'm
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: gonna step away from that. Oh not two favorite without
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: a doubt or sublime and Pink. You like sonic Youth?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I do like some sonic youth. Yeah, I like listen
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you play some sonic Youth. I'll be happy with that.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: If you play like maybe Antenna. If you play I
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: got a songloaded, which is no. No, We're all good. No, no,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I want to hear it. I want to hear the
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: song that you're gonna play. All right, here we go.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: We're gonna take your break, so go ahead and start
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: playing the music. And uh, oh my gosh, this makes
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: this take me back to fourth grade right now. Yeah, Harry,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: thank you for that kiss on the cheeks, sweetheart. No,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this this you just this is a band that's even
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: worse than the Beatles. I can't stand to pet sounds
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: all day long. Okay, all right, then, well you you
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: were making some good moves as far as how I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: was starting to like you, and then you pull up
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: the Beach Boys of all bands. That's terrible the way
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you were talking about quiet right, Ozzy Osborne, I'm thought,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and you pull up the Beach Boys. Where is this
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: show going to? I've never been more disappointed in my life.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: So well that's probably to me this long to do
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that for you. Wow, if I go to, I guess
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the Monkeys will not be a breath. No, please, that's no,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: don't play the Monkeys. I love them. That was my
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: first Oh my god, mine was the Eagle, So uh,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: all right, that's a regret. I've passed on seeing them
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: twice and I'm gonna regret it to the day I
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: died that I did that. I mean, and both football
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and band. Kings of Leon. Do you like Kings of Lee.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I'm familiar, but not I don't know a lot of
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: their stuff. Okay, I like Kings of Leon. I mean
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: food Fighters. I mean, I'm gonna, yeah, just pick anything.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I am more of an old school I grew up
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: a hippie. So okay, Well, you've you've really disappointed me
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: at this point. Now, so I don't even know if
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: we're ever going to go to break at this point.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I guess we're just gonna have to start talking. Let's
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: go because you if you if you don't like this,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: then we may not have another show. Okay, now you're
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: playing little Kashmir. This is a song when when when
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Rat Rat takes out your girl in Fast Times? Yeah,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: that's right, he does. He plays that cash me around
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Awesome, right there, good one,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna take a break. Five O two.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: He saved the day. I'm so proud of you. Thank
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: you very much. Trevor fib out two three four fourteen
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: fifty or he text me on the whiskey he text
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: one five O two four one four fourteen fifty stay
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: right there. More of this most ridiculous, just the cats
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I've ever been on in my life. But I hope
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you stay there, Stay right there, talks company.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: I'm round around the guys, wants around seven, around nine.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Get five O two three four to call in. We
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's not what I'm expecting, right there? No, No, five, yes, yes,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: yes five O two four one four fourteen fifty went
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: to text in on the Whiskey thief text line. If
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you didn't know, I got a new producer today, Uh,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it's it's taking This show is taking a wild turn,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: and I'm not sure if it's for the worst of
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: the best. I kind of like that too, that Trevor.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now, Trevor, what's your last name? Kelsey? Kelsey? Oh?
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Like pat uh yeah yeah, and like Jason. Oh that
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: is so sad spelled like Pat. That's two more people
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I don't care for. So good. Well, hold on, hold on,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: hold up there, slow the row there, Mikey. Yeah wow,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Let's let's back that up a little bit. Now, Pat
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: you you don't like Patty, you don't like Jason, Yes,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: because I can. I can accept that Pat hate as
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: a Kentucky guy. Yes, But the Jason Kelsey hate, that's
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: like blaspho. No. I like Jason, I like Travis and
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Jason Joe Travis, God, I don't care about Travis. No,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I like Jason. Are you are you? Are you not
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: a Cowboy fan or oh my gosh, no, okay, good,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I don't want to have to kill you. I'm a
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan. Well that's even worse, is it? Really?
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Why is that? Because? I mean, that's the sad feel
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: bad for you now, yeah you should. I've been. Here's
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: the sad part. I have been a doubt a Tampa
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneer and Cincinnati Bengal fan my entire life. That's
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: how bad I am of a fan. How are you both? Though?
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I am both because I kind of uh. My family's
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: had a home down in Saint Petersburg, Florida, right outside
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Tampa for since I was a little kid. Yeah, I
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a Buck fan, and then since I lived in Louisville,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I wanted to have a close team. So to me,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the closest team that I grew up also liking was
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the Bengals. Now, if you asked me between the two
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: teams who like mar it's the Bucks. Okay, I'll always
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: be a Bucks fan. How far back Bucks we talk
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: and we're talking like like like when they came early
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: seven seventy seven. I believe it absolutely, when they had
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: those creamsickle jerseys. Heck yeah, man, I was all about it.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: When your coach was when they asked about when they
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: asked the coach about what they thought of the team's execution,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: he said he was all for it, which is a
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: great That might be one of the greatest lines ever.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: By the way, yes, you're exactly correct. What was was
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: that was McVay. I think was John McVay. John mcvayh yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: and he always had the golf hat that looked really
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: good and uh yeah, John McVay, My goodness, good you
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: all you had you had to you had the seventy
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: nine NFC Championship run early on, but then it was
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: pretty much it was.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: It was a.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Bad after that until Bengles A. The Bengals get a
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: bad rap because everyone just keeps talking about him like
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: it's the nineties. Still. Yeah, and the Bengals technically over
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: the last twenty five years have been far from the
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: worst franchise in the NFL. I mean, Washington and Miami
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: alone had been just twice the Jets. Jets the worse.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I think the Jets have the longest non playoffs streak
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: at the moment your core, Yes, which weirdly enough came
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: off back to back AMC title games. But but yeah,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: they Yet it's been a while for the Jets. So
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: I assume then you're an Eagles fan if you like
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Travis kelcey okay, or Jason, but you're Jason whatever and
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: still and I still have respect for Papa, which is
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Andy Reid. Yeah, yeah, until I get a paternity test,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and the fact that I've never met my own dad.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: He his dad, I don't care. He I mean there's
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: a good I mean, the guy's Mormon, so you know
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: there's a good chance it's possible. Is he really? Yeah,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: he's Yeah. I didn't know that. Yeah, Oh, now you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: like him because no, no, absolutely no, I don't know.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I don't lie right now. I'm not happy with the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Mormons because they keep stealing players, athletic director assistants and
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff from us. So Orman's duty I mean, what,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: come on, I know I am not a BYU fan.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: So let's go to the Whiskey Thief text on gole
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Y Trevor, you need to fill in more, just to
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: let you know you need to do a later show.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Oh oh so it's my fault. Okay, I listen, I
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: didn't pick the time. The time was picked for me.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I can do some morning. I did KRC at seven
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: am for like three years. So what happened? I'm sobered up. Uh,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I just it just got to the point where I
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: was just like, I can't I and I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: There was a few days were overslept. Oh really say that.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: We had we had a backup playing, we had a
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: safety net at time, so we were good. Okay good,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: But yeah, but I mean, this is anything in the
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: AM still pretty early for me. Uh anything in the
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: AM so eleven fifty nine is still way too early
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: for you. That's that's why it's am. AM is for sleeping. Yeah, well,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I can tell you this hair brush is not your
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: best friend. Oh if anybody sees you on YouTube, they'll
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: just see that. Yeah I don't, that's that's not now
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: to be. That's your Look, here's the thing though, at
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: this point, now I don't know how old you are.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I think we may not be far off in age.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: How old are you? I'm forty six? Are you really? Yes, sir? Okay?
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Do you think I am? Probably? I would say between
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: forty six and fifty. I would think, are you being serious?
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Are you messing with? I mean serious? Are you on that?
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I'm sixty years old? Okay? Well so you so you
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you do have me? We'resai okay years you could be papa.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I'm fourteen. So wow, all right, but
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: we both have the gray hair. I always hot for teacher. Yes,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: she wasn't in class very often. But yeah. The thing
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: is that my hair is Yes, I don't comb it.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I usually wear hat. I was gonna wear a hat.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I used to wear hats. And now I'm at the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: point in my life where I have the little hair
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I have left now unfortunately up there, I'm just gonna
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: let it go. Okay, so let it go wild man.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: It's like it's like a French armpit. I'm just like,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: letna grow. You're kind of in between. I'm trying to think, Uh,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: who has the craziest hair out there? Einstein well, no,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: you to me, you look like Captain Kangaroo. Met. I mean,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: that's just perfect one right there. That Tommy Chong just
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: had a baby with Captain Kangaroo. Now I can't shave
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: any closer because I got sensitive skin. Oh you do,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I get that. I have to I literally have to
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: use a blades and I just cut it down like,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: oh my gosh, that's about shadows. Okay, all right, well
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: let's go to the Whiskey thief text. I'm Patrick texted
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: in Michael Traveler knows his movies. He's kicking button trivia
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: on Thursdays and knows movies. I mean, to be fair,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I listen, I grew up a fat kid, okay, in
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the eighties and nervy, and you never grew out of it. No,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: And I mean I so I spend a lot of time, yeah,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Brodday Knights. You know a lot of guys playing drugs,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: get plaid. Yeah, you know. I was watching Pretty in
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Pink and sixteen Candles and right there, I love John Hughes.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: So yeah, so did I actually the John Candy John Hughes?
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean, well, uncle, I mean he talking
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: about buck Yeah, obviously, I mean just even his small
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Cambo and home Alone for God's sake. Oh that was awesome,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: and you know they just did it in a few takes.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I'm a huge John can see I love I love
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: the fat actors. John Candy is my number one, Chris
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Farley's number two, John Belushi's number three. Belush's another one
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: where you gotta wonder because outside of Blues Brothers and
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Animal House, there were some bad movies he was in,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: like Neighbors. Neighbors was terrible. I still liked it, though,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I did, I did. I liked the one where he
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: was the I can't think of the name of it, though, Trevor,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: we talked. Nineteen forty one. Nineteen forty one was great. No, no, no, no,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I'm talking about the one and Spielberg directed that one.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: He did, he did, Yeah, And then you got the
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: one where he was the Chicago writer for the Chicago
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Tribune and he goes up to Alaska and he finds
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: out how much he loves the eagles up there, and
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: then he meets this girl and they end up getting together.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: This is just John, not Jim, right, this is John Belushi. Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I don't know. It was a really good movie, but anyway. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: favorite Chris Farley movie. Oh, I mean Tommy Boy. Yeah,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: I mean I also worked in video stores throughout the nineties,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: so I didn't have cable. There you go. So I
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: was living in my I got my first apartment when
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I was sixteen with no cable. So I was like,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I would just basically, you know, take home three movies
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: a night and just watch movies at home one night.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Random stuff too. John texta and he said, John, here, morning, Trevor.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: My friend Michael Trevor is pretty good at his job
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: in picking music. Hey, Trevor, how relieved were you that
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: coach Pope and Kentucky missed out on Cohler was I
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: was like, excuse me, I wasn't relieved because I wasn't shocked.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I didn't expect it to happen anyway. Yeah, what do
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: you think about us still potentially getting Mitchell all about
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the court system today? Whatever? We're supposed to know that
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: tonight or Yeah, it's supposed to be sometime today, so
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: we'll find out. His sec experience would be huge either way.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: How confident are you that U of L beats Kentucky? Well,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: despite the record in my lifetime, I'm always confident, are
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: you really? And now whether that confidence is well placed
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: or not is another story. That's a horse of a
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: different color. As one would say, Well, that's what's so sad,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: because you know, y'all have dreams and of Accalatians and
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: beating Kentucky and basketball football. I get it. Football has
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: been much easier, even though it's been a little more
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: competitive until the last three or four years. But say
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: basketball hasn't even been close. That's where he here's my take.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: All right, okay, are you ready for this? And this
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: is what a lot of the listeners hear me say.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Because I believe in rivalries, but I have never thought
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: uk U of L basketball has been a rivalry. Well,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: why because you all avoided us untilady three? No, because
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: we continue to beat you so many times. To me,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: a rivalry means that you have to win a little
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: closer than the way uk is just completely dominated. This
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: isn't like Notre Dame Army type. I mean that was
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: that Notre Dame Army? Yeah, it is that bad? Or
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: was it Notre Dame Navy? That Navy went like forty
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: hours I think without beating him or something. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: but lot was one I'm sure little granted, Little has
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: not sweat and not beaten Kucky back to back years
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: since eight nine, so it has been a minute and
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: a half. Yes, but it was still snuck in their winds.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: And in case you're wondering in, hey, yeah, snuck in
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: one every ten or fifteen is not bad.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: It all counts just to tip, I mean just yeah,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: that still counts, still counts to be the name of
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: my show. By I've called you knew this, Yes, I got,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I've referred to it as a couple of times, oh
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: you have, yeah, and on what show are you doing this?
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I mean well just before, just in the like when
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I first got back, I didn't realize you'd changed it
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: to cats. I thought that it was still the tip.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Oh okay, I got. I just think I assumed, yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: because you you did do a brief show when I
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: was here in the past with with a with a sidekick. Yes, yeah,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: he was definitely a sidekick and that and I think
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I spoke with him briefly at that so I had
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: to do it to endure that. But but and then you,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: of course you worked with Douglas, who was my safety
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: net when I would oversleep at KRC with a nice guy.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I love Douglas, Miss Douglas a rep to him. But yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: now it's still a robbery. I mean, listen, you don't
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: have Yes, it'd be nice, but if you're going fifty
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: to fifty, I mean a robbery doesn't have to be
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: straight down the middle. Fifty fifty wins. No, but if
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: you like yeah, But I all right, here's how the
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: hatred is on both sides.
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: Is it not? You?
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: You not hate Louisville? No, I do not. I honestly
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I don't. I've never hated Louisville when both basketball and football. Uh. Yeah,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I hate to tell you because I don't. I've never
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: hated UK football that much. Yeah, mainly because I never
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: felt them as a maybe I guess in your mindset
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: of threat like, yeah, well I don't hate. I mean
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: that takes still hat of energy to hate. I dislike.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I disliked Tennessee and I've always disliked Tennessee. And if
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: if you asked me to be completely honest on my
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: argument of rivalries, I don't think Tennessee considers Kentucky arrival,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: especially when it comes to football. Yeah, and then it's
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: probably vice versas in basketball, Kentucky doesn't look at Tennessee's arrival.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: I don't know. I I kind of think they do,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: all right, Duke, I think Duke's arrival. I disliked Duke
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: probably more than any team out there. Duke is the
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: team I can't stand the most. I disliked them more
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: than U of l. Let's well, this falls under the
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: old UH guy used to work with in radio but
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: many moons ago and e Zach mccrich used to used
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: to have a promo was to run all the day.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I remember Zach I talked about UH. We talked about
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: him doing the show with me years ago, and he
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: used to have a promo he used to run back
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: in my early days and formed that did. The whole
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: spill was, you know, No, everyone hates the Patriots because
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: they went. No one hates Saint Mary. It's because no
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: one gives a bleep about Mount Saint Mary's. That is
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: very true. I mean, you hate Duke because they've beaten you. Yeah,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I guess in the same reason we hate you know,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I hate UK for multiple reasons that you get in basketball, though.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I don't want to see y'all win anything in basketball really, Oh, No,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I don't care if you're losing. Brings as much joy
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: to me as our winnings. It's okay when little brother
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: wins a couple of times. I don't have a problem
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: with it. I mean, you get mister the Harry Carey
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: imitator over there doing a nice job. I mean, it's
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: a cute little program. Could I could steve impression I
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: was holding us hugging the porcelain gods this morning.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: That is.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that is awesome I have. That is
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: one of the best impressions. That's better than Will Ferrell,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: by the way, No, it's not. Yes, it is well done, Trevor.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Right there, Harry Carrey. We oh, so do I miss that?
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: You talk about announcer that I missed the most. It's
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Harry Carey. He was that. That's the only reason I
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: watched Cubs baseball is because I wanted to hear what
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Harry Carey is going to do day games for Cubs anymore.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: We don't even have w GEN in Louisville. No, not anymore.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: News long gone exactly. So all right, we gotta take
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: our last break, Trevor. I'll take you'll take an additional break,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: then do you. Yeah, we do. We got one. I
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: was supposed to take it at nine forty, but I'm
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: always late. Yeah, we call that John Wong late. Okay,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: so just still let you know. You don't know who
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: John Wong is. But anyway, John Long, you talking about
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: John Wong, John Wong. Yes, it's spelled h u, A
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: and G, but it's pronounced w O n G something
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: hung John Wong. Yeah, anyway, this never mind, I'll speak
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: to you. Okay, we're gonna take our last break. I'll
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: get back to your text as soon as we get
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: back at twelve five or two four one, four fourteen
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: fifty one more segment on this Friday. It's been a
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: fun hour. I'm kind of surprised about this, but uh,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: we'll see to them in Hey, Michael, what do you moving? Coven?
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: A name you can trust and a name you already know.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Quite the combination right here. I've never known that we
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: would go from heavy metal rock to this right here.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: That's me, though, I love. I love all genres except
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: for class I see I do, except for what class?
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Oh you don't like? Oh? So you like I will
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: listen to I don't listen to bro country? Really? Yeah?
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Like which is kind of Scoots as Alley Lank maybe more.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I do love like your your seventies Whyalon Jennings, you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: know obviously Johnny Cat. I mean I could listen to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Johnny Cash read the back of a shampoo bottle. Oh
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: my goodness, I got horrible. I got a thing for
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: the eighties. I like Alabama some I like Brooks early
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: ninety album yeah before he went to Chris Kynes. But okay,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: good Also I'm a big eighties guy, though, are more
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: so than anything I got love? Yeah? Oh oh real,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: damn some de Barge maybe Little Miami Sundicha. See, I'm
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: an eighties alternative rock. Well, what would you define as alternative?
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Like with Violent Fems? Oh? Absolutely violent, Depeche mode O,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: m D if you like Orchestra maneuvers in the dark,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I'm serious for Fears guy, I mean I like you. Yeah,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I was all that kind of The original Violent FIM's
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: album is one of my favorite. Oh my gosh, yeah,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: did you he was sixteen when he wrote that? Are
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: you kidding?
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: No?
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I did not know that. I can't remember the lead
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: singer's name because if they're not, they're based on him. Awake,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: you know, that correct. There's huge Blue Jays fans. You
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: know this, don't I didn't know. Ye, So hold on
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: before you finish the story. And I don't mean to
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: interrupt you, but you're like two weeks ago, they had
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: the leads I think it was the lead singer and
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the drummer come in and play the national anthem. And
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: the drummer used a kettle grill from Weber, a Weber
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: kettle grill as his drum to play the national anthem.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: It was the wildest thing I've ever seen before. The
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Blue Jays didn't know that. Yeah, sad as I know
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: because of Blue Jay. I'm a Blue Jay guy. Oh
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: you are? No, you do that? Yeah, I'm a Tampa
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Bay Rey guy. See. So yeah, I'm not happy with you, right,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: I don't worry. I'm I hate the Dodgers more for
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: cheating last year. Three. Oh the ball stuck in the wall.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: The ball stuck in the wall. We can't get it.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: At least they didn't use trash cans. I mean, I
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: can't stand the most or the Astros. And you want
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: to talk about the Dodgers. I figured you would love
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: the Dodgers because of Will Smith. No, he he's dead
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: to me. Really, listen, he too? Will he two Willow? Yeah, No,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I've forgiven him a little bit since. Uh, it took
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: a while, because it took me a while to forgive
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: Dion Branch for winning the MVP against the Patriots. Oh yeah,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I'm having lunch with him next week. But Wilson congratulate.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: Oh I'm having lunch with Dion Branch. Oh. I don't
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: want either one would be cool. Yeah, but really, I've
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: known will since he was a little kid. I've known
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: will many years. He's I'll forgive him a little bit,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: but I'm still hurt by it. Are you hurt that
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Will Stein is the head coach at you Verus Kentucky?
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I hate that. I hate that. I love it, see exactly.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: That's how I feel about Jeff Brom and Pat Kelsey.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: I like, I hate that. I really I really like
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Jeff Brom. I'm trying to decide I want to go
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: kind of good feelings on the outro, but it feels
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: like I should go something more upbeat. Really, I mean
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: we can go, I mean blister the songs just too Uh,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: let's get let me get back to before we have
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: to go. Let me get back to the Whiskey feet
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: text please, uh, Michelle, te it out. Corey's birthday is
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: in five days and mine is in one day. It's
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: a big one for me sixty five. Well, congratulations, Michelle,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: happy birthday to you. And yes, I am prepared for
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Corey and his birthday. Cory your son, I assume. No, No,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I don't know. Corey Price is not my gun. Oh no,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Corey Price. But I know Corey Price. Okay, Well that's yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Cory is not my son. Okay, so there he could be. No, no,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: what are you talking about? The math works? How? Oh
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: that's right, he's forty one. Forty one. I would had
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: to have been eighteen years old. That's not uncommon, especially
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: when you're to Wagner. Well I didn't go to Wagner.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? But okay, I have a friend
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I grew up with my neighbor, he say, ites me.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: And he's already a grandfather. Wow. Yeah, I got a
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: buddy of mine too, that's got multiple grandkids. The John
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: Cougar Melling Camp. Think John Cougar Melon had his daughter
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: when he was like seventeen, and she had her daughter
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: when she was seventeen. Are you a John Cougar fan
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: or a John Mellon Camp fan Cougar. Yeah, all the
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: the early stuff. Yeah, yeah, I can't think of any
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Melling camp. Maybe Wild Nights kind of feel like it's
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: the Stepbrothers and we're becoming best friends, okay, which is
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: weird because I've never seen Step Brothers all the way through.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, what is wrong. I've seen it all
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: the way through probably a thousand times, so, uh, to
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: be fair, By the time it came out, I was
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: kind of over the will Will Ferrell stick a little bit,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: I get it, but this is a movie that's not
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: Will Ferrell. This is a movie that really the funny
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: guy in this movie is John c Riley, and I
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: love John c Riley mostly he's oh, yeah, exactly, but
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: John c Riley is really You've got to go see
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: it before you say anything. I mean, I've seen all
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: the I've seen enough of it to where I've probably
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: could say I've seen it all in the way. Okay,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: fair enough, I sound I sound like the announcer in
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: Legal Vote their Own. But about MoMA, I've seen enough
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: to know I've seen too much. Yea, but yeah, I
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: maybe I'll give it a go. One day. There's been
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: movies that I didn't like in the nineties. Yes that
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I thought just maybe just were I was too young
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: to appreciate ye, And I've watched him in the last
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: maybe ten or fifteen years, and I'm like, why did
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: I ever think good Will Honey sucked? This movie's oh
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: my gosh, seriously. I mean I was seventeen or eighteen
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: when it came out, like I wanted to watch Clarks.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: I want, you know, bleeping fart jokes. Yeah, I get that. Yeah,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: that's how I was. So when I've been and I
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: still think mini drivers overrate as an appearance. Look, but
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I mean I wouldn't figure out of bed or but no,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: I always thought you was a tractor.
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: Know.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: I don't know how about her. I love the accent.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: The accent does give me a semi but other than that,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: I can't look at the This is a semi clean show.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: This oh my gosh, all right. Misster Illinoyd checked in, said, man,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: I did not realize the treble voice comparison would put
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: Scoots Panties in such a bunch. Despite that, it's very accurate,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: I take it back. While their vocals are on spot
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: are spot are spot on. There is only one Scoots.
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: He's almost as mad as Michael was when Scoots left
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: mid radio show. I love me some Scoots. It's hard
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: to get mad at the guy. Okay, I just I've
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: said it many times. The only thing Scoots does that
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: irritates me is he won't make fat jokes. Oh he won't. No,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I didn't bother me, and it doesn't bother me either.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: Like now, as long as you make it, like, at
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: least give me a good one. Yeah, because I make
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: short jokes to him, which one of the exactly one
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: of my best friends is probably shorter than than than Scoots. Yes,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: his dad was a jockey. That happens. Yeah, his dad
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: was actually a jockey. Okay, he said multiple times, my
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: mom banged an athlete. Of course she picked a jockey.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: And so so I've had and he's been best friend.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: We've been best friends for like thirty years. So like
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: I've got I've got thirty years of short jokes and
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: I love making them a Scoots, but scoose Will is
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: too nice. I'm like, make a fat jokes, Scoot. He's like,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: I'm not me. I'm like, do it please, Exactly. He
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: gets a little uncomfortable when I say certain things. You know,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: I got mad about the parking situation here. Well, yeah,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: they kept asking me to move, move move. It's like
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: dude at the parking lot where am I supposed to park?
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: And he got real uncomfortable because they would ask him
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: to tell me. Nobody would come to me directly. They
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: would go through justin. It's like, dude, all right, hold on.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Josh texted in, good lord, the show is off the
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: rails with Michael and Trevill's sarcasm. We won't take anything
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: serious hilarious. No, that we I don't think we've touched
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: anything sports. No, I have not even gone to any
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: notes since we've you've joined this show. Tremor looks like
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: the comedian Ron White. Oh I love that? Is that
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: a compliment I call salad? Oh? Yeah, he was. He
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: was part of the blue Collar Comedy Tour ye along
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: with that, that was like did that come out before
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: the original Kings of Commedy? I think it came out after.
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Really is the red neck version of that? But it's
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: he's a lot. I love Bron White. Yeah, he's hilarious.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Joeye texted in, good to hear you from Jolie. She said,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: worlds collide two of my favorites radio favorites together. I
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: am loving this. Yeah that's a song, right, yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Jolie Jolie. I mean I'm gonna butcher it. I mean,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: just she's the like, wasn't a Dolly Pardon that's saying,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: that's all. Yes, I don't know why my mind kept
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: want to do al Byrah O. God, not that. Please
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: if you play that kind of crap, I again that
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: I'm walking out. I mean I have Michael, You and
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: Trevor might just be the strongest trivia team on the
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Big X. You guys would be awesome against anyone you
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: could you?
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: You?
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: I think love age, so uh yeah, yeah, because we
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: are we might be. Are we the two oldest here?
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: I guess no, like John and Tony are the oldest here?
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Come on, man, wow, I forget how John is because
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: he looks like he's eighty. He's older than me. But yeah,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: that's all. I believe that Tony looks like he's forty
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: though he pulls up the youngest. Uh let's see here.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: One person texted in cubs had to play day games
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: or you can or can you imagine how tanked Eric
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: would have been by the seventh he stretched, Hey, check
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: out the kid in the sombrero. Yeah, but that's not
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: as creepy as Marv. Wasn't Marv Albert that was talking
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: about the Alabama starting quarterback's girlfriend. No, that was Brett Musburger.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: It was Britt Musburger. Yes, funny story to that. Yeah,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: you know, he's also the one that called out the
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: Florida State Cowgirls. No, those three girls would turn out
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: to be. One would be late Leah Lane I think,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: or Gina being a w W wrestler. Yeah. The other
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: was the one who got the the crotch pick from
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: Brett Barb John Studman or whatever. They all three of
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: them became famous and they were all discovered because of
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Brent Musburger. Because of Brett Musburg. He should get a
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: little credit for that. Uh. It's usually is always good
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: to choose the cougar time. So there you go, all right,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: Uh man, Jim Porters, Oh my gosh, that's going blasts
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: from the past. And my mom I grew up at
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: Phoenix and my mom was a bartender peek, so really
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I was growing up I used to she used to
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: bring me there and I'd play in the rose Guarden
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: all until it was opening time, and then I'd have
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to hide somewhere. Wow, that technically wasn't allowed to be.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: I gotta say this was surprisingly an unbelievable amount of
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: fun having you on this last forty five minutes. More
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: often they might convince me to wake up a little earlier.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: I think you should. I think you should wake up
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: a little early, or just stay up all night. Either one. No, Well,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: either way it doesn't matter because I think you'd be
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: the same exact personality. So anyway, Trevor, this was fun.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: I appreciate you filling in for a few minutes. So
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: all right, everybody, have a great weekend. I gotta settle
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: down for the last forty five minutes. We'll see you
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: on Monday at Just the Cats.
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: Love the dress wish is now, I can guess because
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: it's gone.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: Daddy gone.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Love is gone, is gone, Daddy gone. Love is gone.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: It's gone, Daddy gone.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: Love is gone, is gone, Daddy gone, Love is gone.
