- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning, and I really do mean good morning. Four
- 0:02Speaker 1: months ago, wall kicked off in the Middle East. A
- 0:05Speaker 1: year earlier. Year before that, the tariff war kicked off
- 0:08Speaker 1: all over the world. And yet today the following things
- 0:10Speaker 1: are happening. Regardless of those. Wall Street is steaming ahead,
- 0:14Speaker 1: on track for the best or some of the best
- 0:16Speaker 1: quarterly performances since COVID. The S and P up fourteen
- 0:19Speaker 1: percent through Monday, Nasdaq up twenty percent. This is for
- 0:23Speaker 1: the quarter. Price of oil is falling. Manufacturing activity in
- 0:28Speaker 1: the United States it is a four year high here
- 0:31Speaker 1: at home. People always tell you the bad stuff, but
- 0:33Speaker 1: they rarely report the good or the stable. Yesterday, business
- 0:36Speaker 1: confidence was up in June and that thirty seven percent
- 0:41Speaker 1: of businesses are more confident this month compared to last.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Despite the ward and the oil in the shop is
- 0:47Speaker 1: being a bit more cautious. There's optimism out there, there's
- 0:50Speaker 1: hope out there. Jobs. Remember they said jobs would fall
- 0:54Speaker 1: off a cliff like that's literally what one economist said,
- 0:58Speaker 1: people would stop hiring of The employment survey that came
- 1:01Speaker 1: out a few weeks ago was the most negative or
- 1:03Speaker 1: depressing reads since it began decades ago. And then we
- 1:07Speaker 1: got jobs number Monday. We gained opportunities, we gained jobs,
- 1:14Speaker 1: we gained workers on a net basis, we added to
- 1:17Speaker 1: the poll. That's why on this program we always strive
- 1:20Speaker 1: to bring facts without so much emotion and hyperbole. Bad
- 1:24Speaker 1: things happen and people react, but not always in the
- 1:27Speaker 1: way that you think or even they think they will.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And if there's one thing you can be sure of,
- 1:33Speaker 1: no matter how disastrous the headline or the event, or
- 1:36Speaker 1: the war or the pandemic, commerce will always find a way.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Sometimes it'll take a little longer than others. For more
