- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, this is The Mark Simone Show on 710WOR. Well,
- 0:09Speaker 1: it's almost Friday. It's Thursday, and we got a lot
- 0:12Speaker 1: to get to today. Hey, it's five days until fall.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Five days until fall. Autumn just about here. Lots to
- 0:21Speaker 1: get to. AI, we'll get to the Fed. We'll get
- 0:23Speaker 1: to Iran. We'll get to Crazy Mom Donnie. We'll get
- 0:27Speaker 1: to Ed Sheeran and Nutty McLemore, Crazy Kathy Hochul, and
- 0:32Speaker 1: a whole lot more coming up. If you're a Democrat, wait,
- 0:36Speaker 1: hang on. If you're a Democrat, cover your ears for
- 0:40Speaker 1: a minute. You're not going to like this. Stock futures
- 0:43Speaker 1: way up, showing a big, big upswing in the market today.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Oil prices down, dropping almost $ 3 a barrel. All right,
- 0:54Speaker 1: if you're a Democrat, you can uncover your ears. Yeah, well, Iran,
- 1:00Speaker 1: the oil situation will straighten itself out slowly but surely.
- 1:04Speaker 1: The price of oil spiked up even more when that
- 1:07Speaker 1: pipeline was blown up. It takes about two weeks to
- 1:10Speaker 1: fix a pipeline, which means it's about a week away
- 1:12Speaker 1: from being restored. And they are moving oil. You know,
- 1:17Speaker 1: the other situation was the Houthis screwing up the port
- 1:21Speaker 1: in the Red Sea. even with the Strait of Hormuz out,
- 1:25Speaker 1: even with the Red Sea port out, you can still
- 1:28Speaker 1: move the oil. It has to go a little further.
- 1:30Speaker 1: They have to move it out through the Suez Canal.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And you can't use the large tankers in the Suez Canal.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You've got to use the smaller ships. But they'll still
- 1:37Speaker 1: get the oil out, and the pipeline will be back
- 1:40Speaker 1: in action probably next week. And then they'll have swarms
- 1:43Speaker 1: of drones protecting the pipeline. Also, the other reason oil
- 1:48Speaker 1: is coming down, big problem with diesel fuel, And that
- 1:53Speaker 1: was the situation, not so much created by Iran, but
- 1:55Speaker 1: by Ukraine. And Ukraine has gotten really aggressive with Russia,
- 2:00Speaker 1: bombing everything in Russia, bombing oil facilities. And they hit
- 2:03Speaker 1: some diesel facilities, knocking out a lot of diesel fuel.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And that drove the price up all over the world.
- 2:10Speaker 1: So apparently President Trump's been on the phone with Zelensky
- 2:14Speaker 1: and Putin. And they've all made an agreement not to
- 2:17Speaker 1: hit any diesel facilities anywhere. Not to knock out any
- 2:22Speaker 1: diesel fuel. Everybody's agreed to that. So you're seeing oil
- 2:26Speaker 1: come down. You're seeing the stock market futures showing a
- 2:29Speaker 1: surge will happen when the market opens. So that's good news.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Fed rate hike yesterday. The market pretty happy with that.
- 2:39Speaker 1: The president always going after that Fed board. It's the
- 2:43Speaker 1: leftover Jerome Powell board of Fed governors. And they're all terrible.
- 2:49Speaker 1: One by one, they'll get them all out. But the
- 2:50Speaker 1: president praising Kevin Warsh. Not mad at him for this.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Crazy Mom Donnie. Hey, just a reminder. Next week is
- 2:59Speaker 1: UN General Assembly Week. It's actually on now. But next
- 3:02Speaker 1: week is where all the world leaders come in. It
- 3:05Speaker 1: will be an absolute gridlock traffic nightmare in Manhattan next week.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You're not going to want to come into the city,
- 3:12Speaker 1: at least not drive in next week. It's going to
- 3:15Speaker 1: be a mess. Netanyahu will be here. You remember Mamdani
- 3:19Speaker 1: campaign promise. I would arrest Netanyahu even early in his
- 3:25Speaker 1: term saying he will arrest Netanyahu when he comes here.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Now he has absolutely no authority, none to go after Netanyahu.
- 3:34Speaker 1: He can't do it. Netanyahu is not a criminal. I
- 3:37Speaker 1: know there's a crazy little, what is that court? The
- 3:40Speaker 1: war court, international criminal court in the Hague. It's not
- 3:44Speaker 1: even a real court. It's just, some idiotic court a
- 3:47Speaker 1: bunch of people created. Nobody recognizes it except two crazy
- 3:53Speaker 1: dictators around the world. But it's not recognized by the
- 3:55Speaker 1: United States. That court has no authority, not a legitimate court.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Whatever charge they have against him is absolutely useless. And
- 4:05Speaker 1: then President Trump has assured Netanyahu he will not be arrested.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Federal agents and troops will protect him the entire time
- 4:12Speaker 1: he's here. Mamdani pretty much admitting He can't arrest Netanyahu.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We are talking about someone who has been charged with
- 4:20Speaker 2: crimes against humanity.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, wait a minute. No, he hasn't. That crazy fake
- 4:25Speaker 1: made-up court doesn't count.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Has visited the city on many an occasion and who
- 4:30Speaker 2: has been welcomed by previous mayors. And I want to
- 4:32Speaker 2: make it very clear that that welcome ends with me.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I will not be welcoming Benjamin Netanyahu or any other
- 4:37Speaker 2: war criminals when they come to this city. And I
- 4:40Speaker 2: do believe that our federal government should join the International
- 4:43Speaker 2: Criminal Court and ensure that there is accountability when it
- 4:45Speaker 2: comes to crimes against humanity.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not a real court. It's a bunch
- 4:49Speaker 1: of left-wing kooks. Nobody's going to join it. Netanyahu is
- 4:53Speaker 1: not a war criminal. There are actual war criminals, those
- 4:56Speaker 1: that were behind the October 7th Holocaust, the raping and
- 5:01Speaker 1: slaughtering of babies and innocent people. If any of them
- 5:05Speaker 1: come here, of course, Mamdani will have them for dinner
- 5:08Speaker 1: at Gracie Mansion. So the reason he hates Netanyahu so much, A,
- 5:13Speaker 1: he's Jewish, and B, he's the head of America's greatest ally.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So that's two things. Mamdani can't stand. Now, these left-wing
- 5:23Speaker 1: kooks are all up in arms because, you know, the
- 5:26Speaker 1: Smithsonian Institute and a number of museums have just gone
- 5:31Speaker 1: so far to the left that they're just turning their
- 5:36Speaker 1: museums into ridiculous showcases of nonsense and And they're eliminating
- 5:41Speaker 1: all the American history out of them. The Smithsonian Institute,
- 5:44Speaker 1: that's the whole purpose, American history. They're eliminating most of it.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And if you walk up to the Smithsonian from the street,
- 5:51Speaker 1: what is in front of it? This enormous sculpture. Nobody
- 5:56Speaker 1: knows what the hell it is. It's a ridiculous looking sculpture,
- 5:59Speaker 1: modern art. It's by Rivera. It's supposed to be an
- 6:03Speaker 1: incredible cutting edge work of modern art. Well, great. Send
- 6:07Speaker 1: it to the Museum of Modern Art right over there.
- 6:10Speaker 1: down the block. Put it over there. It does not
- 6:13Speaker 1: belong in the Smithsonian. It's totally inappropriate. Mostly the Smithsonian
- 6:18Speaker 1: are kids and other people coming to learn about American history.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You don't need to visit starting with them stopping and going,
- 6:26Speaker 1: what the hell is that thing? It looks like some weird,
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's like a weather vane of curly, swirly stuff on top.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So President Trump wants that thing gone. Get that out
- 6:38Speaker 1: of there. Send it to a real, you know, modern
- 6:41Speaker 1: art museum. Let them display it. And he wants, this
- 6:45Speaker 1: is what's upsetting the kooks on the left. They're very
- 6:49Speaker 1: upset about this. He wants a statue of George Washington,
- 6:55Speaker 1: big statue of George Washington, right in front of the Smithsonian.
- 6:59Speaker 1: They are up in arms. Everybody will be attacking him.
- 7:02Speaker 1: The New York Times already going after him. the president's
- 7:06Speaker 1: latest attack on the museum. It's not an attack. He
- 7:09Speaker 1: wants you to put up a statue of George Washington.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I would think if I was starting a museum of
- 7:14Speaker 1: American history, I would think the first thing I would
- 7:17Speaker 1: put up is a statue of George Washington. What would
- 7:21Speaker 1: be the more obvious thing to put up? He also
- 7:24Speaker 1: suggests they have an exhibition about Washington's legacy. You know
- 7:29Speaker 1: where the museum is? It's in a city called Washington.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Because of George Washington. That's why it's Washington, D.C. So
- 7:38Speaker 1: put up a statue of the guy. The proposed statue
- 7:41Speaker 1: would replace that modern abstract piece of junk called Infinity
- 7:47Speaker 1: by Jose de Rivera. The Smithsonian describes the work as
- 7:52Speaker 1: the first piece of modern art commissioned by the federal government. Well,
- 7:57Speaker 1: nothing wrong with modern art, but we don't want the
- 7:58Speaker 1: federal government picking it, purchasing it, because they don't know
- 8:02Speaker 1: what the hell they're doing when it comes to art.
- 8:06Speaker 1: as President Trump points out, that strange modern sculpture tells
- 8:10Speaker 1: visitors nothing about America, inspires no one, honors none of
- 8:15Speaker 1: our great American heroes. George Washington does. So he's right, actually.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It makes more sense. Smithsonian, put up a statue of
- 8:22Speaker 1: George Washington. You know, he just got rid of the
- 8:25Speaker 1: head of the Smithsonian, this left-wing kook of a guy who, uh,
- 8:30Speaker 1: This guy is the one that wanted to put up
- 8:32Speaker 1: a George Floyd statue instead in front of the museum.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the purpose of the Smithsonian. So, hey, Mamdani,
- 8:42Speaker 1: besides the UN, has a big new project. This one
- 8:48Speaker 1: he may actually get done. Every time he proposes something,
- 8:51Speaker 1: free buses, free daycare, whatever he comes up with, supermarkets,
- 8:56Speaker 1: never happens. never, ever actually happens. He never gets anything done.
- 9:01Speaker 1: This one he will get done. This is a major,
- 9:05Speaker 1: major effort for him. He thinks this is very important.
- 9:09Speaker 1: He's putting toilets all over New York, public toilets. He said,
- 9:14Speaker 1: we don't have enough public toilets. Do we have any
- 9:19Speaker 1: public toilets? Where's there a public toilet? I think there's
- 9:22Speaker 1: one or two subway stations that actually still have a
- 9:27Speaker 1: public restroom in them you'd have to be pretty brave
- 9:31Speaker 1: to go into a subway restroom but apparently there's still
- 9:35Speaker 1: a few so he wants to put these all over
- 9:36Speaker 1: the place each toilet i shouldn't say it's not just
- 9:41Speaker 1: a toilet it's like a fancy outhouse a fancy one
- 9:45Speaker 1: each one is 235 000 he's already bought 17 of
- 9:46Speaker 1: them they're very high tech this is part of a
- 9:48Speaker 1: four million dollar plan He eventually wants to add a
- 10:01Speaker 1: of these, 235,000 for each one, made by a company
- 10:06Speaker 1: called Throne Labs. It's a modular toilet company that submitted
- 10:12Speaker 1: the winning proposal. The toilets are ADA accessible, some complete
- 10:18Speaker 1: with running water, climate control, and baby changing tables. They'll
- 10:23Speaker 1: be open for use 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. So
- 10:27Speaker 1: if you've got to go to the bathroom at 6.45,
- 10:30Speaker 1: forget it. You're out of luck. You're not doing it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: 10.15 at night? I'm sorry. Can't do it. Now, to
- 10:37Speaker 1: open them, you need an app on your phone, or
- 10:41Speaker 1: you can have a card. There's a QR code. You'll
- 10:44Speaker 1: need an app on your phone. Who's going to carry
- 10:47Speaker 1: that card around? This is my toilet card here. But
- 10:52Speaker 1: you'll have to have this app on your phone. Of course,
- 10:54Speaker 1: it's the city of New York, which means they'll drain
- 10:56Speaker 1: every piece of info and data out of your phone
- 10:59Speaker 1: at the same time. As will the Throne Bathroom Network.
- 11:03Speaker 1: That's embarrassing to have that on your phone. The Throne
- 11:07Speaker 1: Bathroom Network app. The app will give New Yorkers real-time
- 11:12Speaker 1: cleanliness ratings. So it's like kind of a Yelp-y kind
- 11:16Speaker 1: of thing. You're going to have a rating on each restroom.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Those without a smartphone can get the card. Now, here's
- 11:23Speaker 1: the thing. There's a 10-minute time limit. You have a
- 11:27Speaker 1: 10-minute time limit to use this toilet. And you get warnings.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You get a five-minute warning. Listen to this.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Your use time has expired.
- 11:38Speaker 4: The door is opening now.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're there past the 10 minutes and your
- 11:43Speaker 1: time expires, the door will open. So if you're sitting
- 11:46Speaker 1: there on the toilet, And it's 10 minutes and 2 seconds.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Your use time has expired.
- 11:51Speaker 3: The door is opening now.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That's the city. Now, I guess they have to have
- 11:59Speaker 1: it automatically open because what if a bunch of homeless
- 12:02Speaker 1: people go in there and lock it? What if somebody
- 12:05Speaker 1: has a medical emergency in there and you need to
- 12:07Speaker 1: get in? But Mamdani is so powerful. proud of himself on.
- 12:11Speaker 3: This today we are putting the sewage back in sewer
- 12:14Speaker 3: socialism and we're doing so because we believe that there
- 12:17Speaker 3: is no problem too big and no task too small
- 12:20Speaker 3: for city hall to help you with.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Well it's a big help i think most people most
- 12:26Speaker 1: people know how to find a bathroom somewhere you know
- 12:29Speaker 1: you can sneak into a restaurant a hotel uh and
- 12:32Speaker 1: use the bath but uh It's the one thing he
- 12:35Speaker 1: will actually do. You'll actually see them. I don't know
- 12:37Speaker 1: where you're going to see them. Actually, I think there's
- 12:39Speaker 1: a Times Square one. There's a Union Square one. They're
- 12:43Speaker 1: kind of ugly. I mean, they're very modern looking, but
- 12:45Speaker 1: kind of eyesores. And you'll start to see them around
- 12:49Speaker 1: the city. Donald Trump's childhood home sells for $ 2 million.
- 12:54Speaker 1: $ 500, 000 renovation. It was actually going for $ 2. 3 million. A
- 13:00Speaker 1: little price cut. It's actually... his there were two childhood
- 13:05Speaker 1: homes this one he only lived in until he was
- 13:09Speaker 1: four years old this is the smaller house it was
- 13:13Speaker 1: actually built by fred trump his father back in the
- 13:17Speaker 1: 1940s fred trump built it for himself so you know
- 13:19Speaker 1: it's well built and uh it's a little house it's
- 13:23Speaker 1: a little uh remember where tessio lived and or clemenza
- 13:26Speaker 1: lived and the godfather looks exactly like that house uh
- 13:31Speaker 1: it's uh It's got four bedrooms, made of brick and stucco. Now, again,
- 13:37Speaker 1: the president only lived there until he was four. And
- 13:40Speaker 1: then they moved to a bigger house, much bigger house
- 13:43Speaker 1: in Jamaica Estates. So if Trump was four when they moved,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I have a feeling he has very little memory of
- 13:50Speaker 1: that house. But from four years old to he grew up,
- 13:56Speaker 1: he lived in the bigger house in Jamaica Estates. That
- 13:58Speaker 1: one I'm sure he remembers well. So somebody is living
- 14:01Speaker 1: in this Donald Trump childhood home and paid $ 2 million
- 14:05Speaker 1: for it. For all the homes in that neighborhood, it's
- 14:08Speaker 1: one of the nicer looking ones. Very, very, very nice
- 14:10Speaker 1: looking one. So Republicans, without the message, they need some
- 14:14Speaker 1: kind of message. I mean, they have a message. They
- 14:18Speaker 1: just haven't focused it to anything that people are hearing.
- 14:21Speaker 1: They should have done this before the big Republican midterm convention.
- 14:26Speaker 1: A lot of people now suggesting it should be about
- 14:28Speaker 1: gas prices. They're high right now. They're spiking because of
- 14:31Speaker 1: the Iran situation. But the message should be, for Trump,
- 14:36Speaker 1: this is a spike. For Democrats, this is their baseline.
- 14:40Speaker 1: This is where they start. So that should be something
- 14:43Speaker 1: to do with the message. You know, if you don't
- 14:45Speaker 1: like the price of gas now, the last thing you
- 14:47Speaker 1: want is Democrats. It'll get worse under them because they'll
- 14:50Speaker 1: shut down refineries. They'll shut down factories. oil wells, they'll
- 14:55Speaker 1: shut down drilling, as they did before, as they do
- 14:58Speaker 1: every time they get in office. And then you'll see
- 15:00Speaker 1: a real spike. You know, one reason prices go up
- 15:03Speaker 1: like this is we don't have enough refinery space. The
- 15:06Speaker 1: same thing with the diesel fuel. We have, President Trump
- 15:10Speaker 1: has opened up drilling everywhere, but we don't have enough
- 15:14Speaker 1: refineries to, we can produce all the oil we want.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We're producing so much oil, we could never use it all,
- 15:20Speaker 1: but we don't have enough refineries to turn it into
- 15:23Speaker 1: gasoline so that's part of the problem we'll get to
- 15:26Speaker 1: uh this crazy mclemore this anti-semitic horrible guy uh this
- 15:32Speaker 1: is the kind of stuff he yells on.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Stage to all of my jewish brothers and sisters criticism
- 15:39Speaker 5: of israel criticism of apartheid being against genocide in no
- 15:46Speaker 5: way is a criticism of you.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Absolutely it's totally anti-semitic he just did it he just
- 15:51Speaker 1: called it uh Genocide. There was no genocide by Israel.
- 15:55Speaker 1: You could argue that Hamas committed genocide. I mean, they
- 15:58Speaker 1: committed a Holocaust. They were slaughtering, raping, and killing women
- 16:01Speaker 1: and babies. And it was just horrible. Just horrible. This guy, Macklemore,
- 16:07Speaker 1: he's got a history of this. He's an awful, awful guy.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Listen to this from a while back. Yeah, America. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: blank America. Yeah, America. And listen to his fans. The
- 16:26Speaker 1: nicest guy is Ed Sheeran. One of the nicest guys
- 16:31Speaker 1: in music. Ed Sheeran. He gets himself tangled. What the
- 16:34Speaker 1: hell was he doing using Macklemore for an opening act?
- 16:37Speaker 1: Probably a promoter that convinced him to do it. But
- 16:40Speaker 1: it's got him in all kinds of trouble. He doesn't
- 16:42Speaker 1: know what the hell to do. And now he's getting boycotted.
- 16:45Speaker 1: He's got AOC after him.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Hey, if Ed Sheeran comes on the radio while you're
- 16:50Speaker 2: driving along, are you changing the channels?
- 16:52Speaker 5: I am. Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 1: He's got that Rashid Tlaib after him.
- 16:57Speaker 4: The more, you know, folks like Ed Sheeran and everybody
- 16:59Speaker 4: side with the billionaire class, with those that, again, benefit
- 17:02Speaker 4: financially and benefit personally from the status quo, you know,
- 17:07Speaker 4: shame on them. I think it turns around and comes
- 17:09Speaker 4: right back on them.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 1: This anti-Semitism, it's going to come right back at you Democrats.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Keep it up. You're getting away with it now, but
- 17:18Speaker 1: it won't, it'll, it'll end up destroying you. All of
- 17:21Speaker 1: this anti-Semitism. Well, we got a lot to get to
- 17:23Speaker 1: this morning and, uh, We'll get to a lot more
- 17:27Speaker 1: coming up. We'll get to more crazy Mamdani schemes. We'll
- 17:32Speaker 1: get to King Charles. We'll get to Patrick Clancy and
- 17:35Speaker 1: a whole lot more. Mark Simone here, 9 to noon,
- 17:38Speaker 1: three hours every day, 9 to noon on 710WOR.
