- 0:00Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Marc Simone?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Three!
- 0:04Speaker 1: The Marc Simone Show. Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:10Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Well, third and final hour. Don't forget it's three hours
- 0:15Speaker 3: every day. We now start at 9 a.m. The show's
- 0:18Speaker 3: now nine to noon, three hours every day. You know,
- 0:23Speaker 3: this crazy El Sayad is running in Michigan. What's his name?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Omar Mohammed Abdul, whatever his name is. Al-Sayed, this crazy
- 0:32Speaker 3: left-wing socialist. He's running in Michigan. But the big guns,
- 0:35Speaker 3: the big names are coming out. Kamala Harris was there
- 0:39Speaker 3: this weekend to campaign for him. Yesterday, AOC, believe it
- 0:45Speaker 3: or not, that's a big respected name in the democratic world,
- 0:49Speaker 3: out there campaigning for him. And now it's Obama. Obama
- 0:54Speaker 3: will go out there and campaign. for al-sayyad this guy
- 0:59Speaker 3: was an extreme anti-semitic disgusting candidate nobody thought he could
- 1:06Speaker 3: even get the nomination but he did and the democrats
- 1:11Speaker 3: i guess they're holding their nose i think and running
- 1:14Speaker 3: out there to campaign for him obama looking for a
- 1:16Speaker 3: little cover so he's bringing a lot of other people
- 1:19Speaker 3: for the same campaign and he's making the other candidates
- 1:23Speaker 3: show up like the candidate for governor. They're making other
- 1:28Speaker 3: candidates show up so it doesn't look like it's just
- 1:31Speaker 3: an Al-Sayed.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Rally.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So Obama realizes he's got to try to put a
- 1:38Speaker 3: little distance there. This Al-Sayed is becoming more and more
- 1:42Speaker 3: mainstream to these Democrats despite the deep anti-Semitism, despite the
- 1:47Speaker 3: crazy socialist nonsense. There's only one guy that will... Well,
- 1:52Speaker 3: it's Rahm Emanuel. Remember that.
- 1:56Speaker 3: He's a tired old guy from Clinton world. Rahm Emanuel.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And all of a sudden, he's emerged as a presidential candidate.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't think he has any chance at all. First
- 2:06Speaker 3: of all, he's too much from the past. He's way
- 2:09Speaker 3: too from the past. The Democratic Party's moved on from him.
- 2:14Speaker 3: But he got himself on the Sunday show. And when
- 2:17Speaker 3: they asked him about Al-Sayed, listen to him hem and haw.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Will you endorse Abdul Al-Sayed?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a complex issue.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Will you endorse Abdul El-Sayed? Do you support him, given
- 2:26Speaker 5: that position? We have massive disagreements. I support the Democratic Party.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I support the Democratic candidate. I'll be going to Michigan again.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I've been there repeatedly to help the gubernatorial candidate.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah, but he won't say he supports El-Sayed. Hey, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 3: it's interesting. El-Sayed needs help. He's bringing all the big
- 2:45Speaker 3: guns in, as they say, Kamala Harris, AOC. And the big,
- 2:49Speaker 3: big one is they're bringing in Obama. you'll notice they're
- 2:54Speaker 3: not bringing in Bill Clinton. You'll notice there's no Hillary
- 2:57Speaker 3: Clinton here. And if you're Bill Clinton up there in Chappaqua,
- 3:03Speaker 3: you're getting pretty steamed because, you know, he still thinks
- 3:06Speaker 3: he's the great figurehead of the Democratic Party. He still
- 3:10Speaker 3: thinks he's relevant, that he's the ultimate Democrat.
- 3:14Speaker 4: It's not.
- 3:14Speaker 3: They've all forgotten about him. They've all moved on from him.
- 3:17Speaker 3: He means nothing to them anymore. It's Obama. They want
- 3:20Speaker 3: Obama there they haven't asked Bill Clinton to record anything.
- 3:24Speaker 3: They just think he's way in the past. Uh, I
- 3:28Speaker 3: saw him the other day. He is not looking so good.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I mean, he's a little frail. I mean, trouble walking.
- 3:34Speaker 3: He had a couple of guys like right next to him,
- 3:36Speaker 3: make sure he didn't fall, not in such great shape anymore, but, uh,
- 3:41Speaker 3: you know, he's gotta be really up to it. Why
- 3:44Speaker 3: haven't they called me? They haven't called me about the campaign. And, uh, anyway, uh, Hey, uh,
- 3:51Speaker 3: If you're the news media, if you're Democrats and Trump
- 3:54Speaker 3: says something crazy, outrageous, you got to stop trying to
- 3:58Speaker 3: make it a campaign issue. It doesn't work anymore. People
- 4:02Speaker 3: are used to this now. This guy's been around in
- 4:06Speaker 3: presidential politics for 10 years. Once in a while, he
- 4:09Speaker 3: goes Howard Stern and says something outrageous. It happens. He
- 4:13Speaker 3: was making a joke about it. Iran's going to bomb
- 4:15Speaker 3: a city. Why don't you bomb L.A.? It's a terrible joke.
- 4:18Speaker 3: You can't say that if you're president. But he says
- 4:21Speaker 3: things like that. But don't try to blow it out
- 4:23Speaker 3: of it. It's not going to mean anything to anybody.
- 4:25Speaker 3: People are numb to it now. So believe it or not,
- 4:29Speaker 3: in South Carolina, where Lindsey Graham's sister, Darlene Graham, is
- 4:34Speaker 3: running for Senate. And she's a little behind right now. Listen,
- 4:37Speaker 3: she's not the best candidate. I mean, as a campaigner.
- 4:41Speaker 3: But she's running against Annie Andrews. And Annie Andrews is transgender.
- 4:48Speaker 3: So Trump is there campaigning, and he's calling Annie Andrews
- 4:52Speaker 3: the transgender. He's calling her Tranny Annie. All right, here's
- 4:56Speaker 3: the Democrats, the fake news, going nuts, trying to stir
- 4:59Speaker 3: this up into a huge issue. Listen to this big headline.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Trump repeatedly used an anti-trans slur. Repeatedly used an anti-trans slur.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I guess you're not supposed to say Tranny. I don't know.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I have no idea. But I guess you don't say
- 5:15Speaker 3: that anymore. But if your name is Annie... and you're transgender,
- 5:20Speaker 3: you know Trump's going to do that. You're Tranny Annie,
- 5:22Speaker 3: Tranny Annie, Tranny Annie. It's a technique he uses where
- 5:26Speaker 3: he just repeats something, gives you a nickname that labels you,
- 5:30Speaker 3: repeats it a billion times, so that's all you think
- 5:32Speaker 3: about when you think of the guy. It's brilliant, actually,
- 5:34Speaker 3: like Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe. I said that
- 5:37Speaker 3: so many times. Whenever you see Biden, you think Sleepy Joe.
- 5:41Speaker 3: The most brilliant one was Jeb Bush, who was so boring.
- 5:46Speaker 3: You couldn't even make fun of the guy. There wasn't
- 5:47Speaker 3: even a characteristic. to make fun of the guy was
- 5:50Speaker 3: so drab. I don't know where he came up with it.
- 5:53Speaker 3: He called him low energy Jeb, low energy Jeb, low
- 5:56Speaker 3: energy Jeb. So whenever you looked at him, that's all
- 5:58Speaker 3: you thought, low energy Jeb. And you start to think,
- 6:03Speaker 3: it's subconsciously, you think, well, he's low energy. He's not
- 6:05Speaker 3: going to get a lot done. So Tranny Annie, it
- 6:08Speaker 3: just drills into everybody's head that she's transgender, which I
- 6:13Speaker 3: would think to some South Carolina voters is going to
- 6:15Speaker 3: turn them off. I mean, it's just be realistic for,
- 6:18Speaker 3: Some voters in South Carolina, it will bother them. So
- 6:23Speaker 3: let's see here. Oh, Democrats, cover your ears for a moment. Yeah,
- 6:26Speaker 3: oil is dropping even more. Oil down to $ 87 a barrel. Big,
- 6:32Speaker 3: big drop from where it was. It's coming down. One
- 6:35Speaker 3: of the reasons is we've got tons of oil moving
- 6:37Speaker 3: through the Strait of Hormuz. We do, not Iran. Between
- 6:41Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuz and we're now using some pipelines.
- 6:45Speaker 3: We're getting about 17 million barrels out of there some days.
- 6:48Speaker 3: That's pretty much pre-war levels. Here's Scott Besson.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Right now, the score, in terms of barrels out of
- 6:54Speaker 6: the street, U.S., about 1.1 billion around zero. For the
- 7:00Speaker 6: first time in history, since they started pumping oil, they
- 7:05Speaker 6: will have no oil on the water this week. They
- 7:08Speaker 6: will have no revenues.
- 7:11Speaker 7: Yes.
- 7:12Speaker 3: So during this period of the Iran conflict, we've gotten,
- 7:17Speaker 3: what did he say? Was it one billion? Right now,
- 7:20Speaker 3: the score turns the barrels out of the strait. U.S.,
- 7:25Speaker 3: about 1.1 billion. 1.1 billion barrels. We've gotten a billion
- 7:30Speaker 3: barrels of oil through the strait. Iran, zero. That's a
- 7:35Speaker 3: pretty lopsided score. That's worse than the Yankees in Tampa Bay.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Next Yankee game is tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium. Ooh,
- 7:42Speaker 3: they'll have the home field advantage, but I hate to
- 7:44Speaker 3: break it to you. Tampa Bay, best team in baseball
- 7:49Speaker 3: right now. The pitching is unbelievable. They're not going to
- 7:54Speaker 3: beat Tampa Bay three games in a row, which they
- 7:56Speaker 3: would have to to win. It's not going to happen. Yankees,
- 8:00Speaker 3: a little better offensively last night, but endless errors, just
- 8:05Speaker 3: error after error after error. You can't win like that.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It's not going to work. Hey, Fox News is celebrating
- 8:12Speaker 3: its 30th anniversary tomorrow. The 30th anniversary of Fox News. Now,
- 8:17Speaker 3: you've got to remember, this was 1996. And I'm trying
- 8:22Speaker 3: to remember, when did CNN start? Was it the late 80s? Yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 3: I don't know, late 80s. There was CNN. Ted Turner
- 8:34Speaker 3: decided to start a cable network. And he came up
- 8:38Speaker 3: with an idea of doing all news. Like 24 hours
- 8:41Speaker 3: a day, you would do the news. Just one network
- 8:45Speaker 3: that has news 24 hours a day. Well, everybody thought
- 8:48Speaker 3: he was insane. They wanted to have him committed. He'd
- 8:51Speaker 3: never heard of such a thing. The only news on
- 8:54Speaker 3: television was the 6.30 news. There was a 6 o'clock
- 8:58Speaker 3: local news. Then at 6.30, there was the network news
- 9:03Speaker 3: for half an hour. And then, you know, if you're
- 9:06Speaker 3: watching NBC or one of those networks during the day
- 9:09Speaker 3: with the game shows and every so often there'd be
- 9:13Speaker 3: like a little five minute or was it one minute
- 9:15Speaker 3: news summary, little update with Edwin Newman, something like that.
- 9:20Speaker 3: But that was it. You had the Sunday shows. But
- 9:23Speaker 3: TV news was six o'clock news, 630 network news. And
- 9:27Speaker 3: that was it. Oh, actually, there was Nightline, but that
- 9:30Speaker 3: was more of a news talk show. But 24 hours
- 9:34Speaker 3: a day of news was insane. And Ted Turner said,
- 9:39Speaker 3: tried to explain this to people. He said, you know,
- 9:41Speaker 3: they have these all-news radio stations. There was WINS in
- 9:45Speaker 3: New York, WCBS in New York. There was KNX Los Angeles.
- 9:50Speaker 3: And he said these 24-hour-a-day all-news radio stations do very,
- 9:55Speaker 3: very well. They're often in the top three radio stations
- 9:59Speaker 3: in their cities. So that's where he got the idea.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And he wanted to do all-news, and he launched CNN.
- 10:08Speaker 3: And it did okay. Not great. It wasn't dominating anything,
- 10:13Speaker 3: but it did okay. Then the Gulf War. Remember Iraq
- 10:19Speaker 3: invaded Kuwait. The Iraq War. And it was a big deal.
- 10:26Speaker 3: And CNN was like 24-7 on the Iraq War. That's
- 10:31Speaker 3: where it really took off and became really big. Everybody
- 10:34Speaker 3: got to know everybody at CNN. They started to know
- 10:36Speaker 3: who Wolf Blitzer was. Remember Peter Arnett, the war correspondent.
- 10:42Speaker 3: And who was that great anchorman? Bernard Shaw. Remember Bernard Shaw?
- 10:47Speaker 3: And there were a bunch of original CNN anchors. So
- 10:49Speaker 3: they became really big and CNN started to do pretty well. Now,
- 10:52Speaker 3: what do you do at night? You know, prime time, eight,
- 10:54Speaker 3: nine o'clock at night. It's not a big time for news.
- 10:57Speaker 3: So they put on a talk show. What was her name? Dr. Sonia,
- 11:03Speaker 3: whatever the hell her name was. So it's a big
- 11:05Speaker 3: talk show every night at nine o'clock. And her agent
- 11:11Speaker 3: was her husband. Now, whenever this happens, whenever the star...
- 11:16Speaker 3: lets her husband be the agent, it always ends in
- 11:18Speaker 3: disaster because the husband has no business being the agent.
- 11:22Speaker 3: And he doesn't know, you know, an agent has to
- 11:24Speaker 3: know how to fight, negotiate with the network executive, but
- 11:29Speaker 3: in a very nice business-like way. When it's the husband,
- 11:32Speaker 3: they get carried away. Remember Suzanne Somers? Let her husband
- 11:35Speaker 3: be the agent. Got her thrown off Three's company. It
- 11:39Speaker 3: didn't work. Same thing happened with this Dr.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Sonya.
- 11:43Speaker 3: The husband has given Ted Turner a hard time. Ted
- 11:47Speaker 3: Turner couldn't stand this guy. And Ted Turner had been
- 11:50Speaker 3: friends with a guy named Larry King, a radio host
- 11:53Speaker 3: who had done some TV shows. So he called Larry King.
- 11:57Speaker 3: He said, could you take over? I want you to
- 12:00Speaker 3: do this talk show every night at 9 o'clock on CNN.
- 12:03Speaker 3: And Larry King said, well, maybe. I don't know. When
- 12:07Speaker 3: do you want to start? He goes, like, tomorrow. He goes,
- 12:09Speaker 3: I hate this Dr. Sonja. I want to just screw
- 12:12Speaker 3: her husband and throw her the hell off. Anyway, he
- 12:15Speaker 3: offered a lot of money. Larry King did it. And
- 12:17Speaker 3: it became the single biggest thing in cable news. Larry King,
- 12:21Speaker 3: every night at 9 o'clock, everybody watched it. It launched
- 12:25Speaker 3: presidential campaigns. It's where people first got to know Bill Clinton.
- 12:31Speaker 3: And Ross Perot launched his presidential campaign there. But remember,
- 12:36Speaker 3: it wasn't just news on Larry King. It would be
- 12:39Speaker 3: 20 minutes with Newt Gingrich. Then the next segment might
- 12:44Speaker 3: be Tony Danza. It would be a comedian. It would
- 12:48Speaker 3: be a politician. And then all the world leaders came on.
- 12:51Speaker 3: The leader of every, because this is the biggest deal
- 12:53Speaker 3: in the world, Larry King, every night at 9 o'clock.
- 12:57Speaker 3: But then about 1996, they launched the Fox News Channel.
- 13:00Speaker 3: A guy named Roger Ailes figured this all out. He
- 13:03Speaker 3: hired a bunch of unknowns like Sean Hannity. and Alan
- 13:08Speaker 3: Combs and Bill O'Reilly was pretty well known, but for
- 13:13Speaker 3: other things, he's, it was on the CBS evening news.
- 13:17Speaker 3: He was a correspondent. He did inside edition. That was
- 13:20Speaker 3: a big show, but, and I, you know, the genius
- 13:24Speaker 3: of ales, he just knew that O'Reilly would be perfect
- 13:28Speaker 3: at this. And it turned out to be the number
- 13:31Speaker 3: one show ever in cable news. And then Hannity totally,
- 13:34Speaker 3: I know it turned out Hannity became, big star. Originally
- 13:37Speaker 3: it was Hannity and Combs. And then they figured out
- 13:40Speaker 3: somewhere along the line, we don't really don't need Combs.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It could just be Hannity. Uh, and Fox, it was slow,
- 13:45Speaker 3: but eventually it caught on, became the biggest thing ever.
- 13:49Speaker 3: 30th anniversary tomorrow. Hey, you know who died? Actually, the
- 13:54Speaker 3: big news is that he was still alive. Who had
- 13:57Speaker 3: any idea he was still alive? Remember Jim Baker, the evangelist,
- 14:01Speaker 3: the whatever he was with the, uh, you know, TV
- 14:04Speaker 3: preacher and, uh, Turned out he made hundreds and hundreds
- 14:07Speaker 3: and hundreds of millions of dollars. He was married to
- 14:09Speaker 3: that crazy Tammy Faye Baker with the tons and tons.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Remember all the makeup she wore? There was so much makeup.
- 14:18Speaker 3: They made her join the painter's union. I mean, it
- 14:19Speaker 3: was crazy. And then the guy gets caught in a
- 14:23Speaker 3: hotel room with this floozy Jessica Hahn having an affair
- 14:27Speaker 3: with her. The whole thing was devastating. Here's Jim Baker.
- 14:30Speaker 8: Tammy and I have gone through a devastating time. Tammy
- 14:34Speaker 8: started first with pneumonia, and then we went through the
- 14:38Speaker 8: Betty Ford's program, and then this thing came and just
- 14:43Speaker 8: crushed us so deeply, and we didn't want to get
- 14:46Speaker 8: in the fight.
- 14:46Speaker 3: It was like a circus.
- 14:47Speaker 8: We couldn't believe it.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Well, it's his own circus, though, and he made a fortune,
- 14:52Speaker 3: this guy Baker.
- 14:53Speaker 8: In one week, I raised $ 30 million at one time
- 14:56Speaker 8: last year, and Tammy's records and our books and all
- 14:59Speaker 8: have brought in literally millions of dollars. And instead of royalties,
- 15:03Speaker 8: we took a salary controlled by the board of directors. And, uh,
- 15:08Speaker 8: I feel that, uh, we, we should have said, no,
- 15:12Speaker 8: we just, we will not receive that.
- 15:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I mean, a lot of places, a lot of the
- 15:17Speaker 3: times I only take a salary of 50,000 a year.
- 15:20Speaker 4: That's it.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Uh, meantime, they charge everything in the world to the company.
- 15:24Speaker 3: So their whole life is paid for millions and millions,
- 15:27Speaker 3: but they only take a small salary. Uh, Hey, we'll
- 15:30Speaker 3: take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 15:31Speaker 1: 800-321-0710.
- 15:31Speaker 3: It's the Mark Simone Show. Live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey,
- 15:36Speaker 3: let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 15:39Speaker 4: 800-321-0710.
- 15:39Speaker 7: Let's go to Bob in New Rochelle.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Bob, how are you doing?
- 15:59Speaker 6: I'm good.
- 15:59Speaker 7: Mark yourself.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Let me check. Let me check.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Very good.
- 16:03Speaker 9: I just want to check in and see how you're
- 16:05Speaker 9: doing on that grueling 15-hour work week.
- 16:10Speaker 3: It's the getting up early. I got used to doing
- 16:12Speaker 3: three hours of talking. It's the getting up early that's
- 16:14Speaker 3: killing me. It's more than a 15-hour work week.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I know.
- 16:18Speaker 10: I know.
- 16:18Speaker 3: It's a lot of prep.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I call for another reason.
- 16:21Speaker 9: I might need you to talk me off the ledge here.
- 16:23Speaker 9: All this Socialism, communist crap. It seems like it's gaining
- 16:27Speaker 9: some traction. Where do you think we're going to be?
- 16:29Speaker 9: If Trump loses the midterms, he'll.
- 16:32Speaker 7: Be a lame duck, and whoever the Republican candidate doesn't
- 16:36Speaker 7: win after that, I think we're.
- 16:37Speaker 4: In a lot of trouble.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, but remember, Trump is a lame duck. He's not
- 16:43Speaker 3: a lame duck. You know him. He's always finding a
- 16:46Speaker 3: fight back there.
- 16:47Speaker 7: But when he's gone and out of office, I don't know.
- 16:49Speaker 9: He's one of a kind.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, well, that's the biggest problem. That is a big problem.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Excellent point, Bob. Thanks for calling. It's a big problem
- 16:58Speaker 3: for us. When Trump leaves, what the hell do we
- 17:03Speaker 3: do all day on the air? What do we talk about?
- 17:05Speaker 3: I'm trying to remember before Trump. It was June of 2015.
- 17:09Speaker 3: He came down that escalator. Before that, what were we
- 17:13Speaker 3: talking about? I don't remember. Did we talk about some
- 17:18Speaker 3: bill in Congress? What did we talk about? It's going
- 17:22Speaker 3: to be tough. You know, talk radio has boomed in
- 17:26Speaker 3: the last 10 years. I mean, our ratings are bigger
- 17:29Speaker 3: than ever. We've got more listeners. That's because of Trump.
- 17:32Speaker 3: I don't know what we're going to do without this guy.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Let's go to Michael on the east side. Michael, how
- 17:37Speaker 3: are you doing?
- 17:40Speaker 7: Good.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Michael.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Call us back. It's not you. It's the phone. It's
- 17:47Speaker 3: always that line six. That's always the one that does that.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Let's go to John in Westchester. John, how are you doing?
- 17:55Speaker 7: I'm doing fine, Mark. It's great to talk to you.
- 17:57Speaker 7: I have two things. If Trump wants us to win,
- 18:01Speaker 7: what we have to do is annihilate Iraq. And I'll
- 18:04Speaker 7: tell you, after seeing a picture of on the post
- 18:08Speaker 7: of a man with what looks like his grandson on
- 18:10Speaker 7: his shoulder, Americans have to worry about their grandchildren because
- 18:14Speaker 7: this child will grow up hating Americans. That's number one.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Well, you're not wrong, but try to fit that on
- 18:20Speaker 3: a bumper sticker. It doesn't work. Anyway, what's number two?
- 18:24Speaker 7: Number two is James is a white hater. To put
- 18:27Speaker 7: her up there is a perfect move because she will
- 18:30Speaker 7: do everything she can to help herself and everything that
- 18:35Speaker 7: she does. She's a miserable person, and New Yorkers have
- 18:39Speaker 7: to wake up and get rid of this beast.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you can vote Letitia James out of office in November.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Vote for, oh, my God, what's her name? It's a
- 18:49Speaker 3: hard name to remember. The Republican candidate for attorney general
- 18:52Speaker 3: is very good, Camarita. Saritha Camarita, something like that. But
- 18:56Speaker 3: vote for her. Letitia James is just a political, partisan person.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Just an awful person, the last person in the world
- 19:06Speaker 3: you want with any legal power. In fact, one of
- 19:08Speaker 3: her prosecutors, somebody in her office, is now going public
- 19:13Speaker 3: saying that the ridiculous lawfare against Donald Trump, the fake
- 19:17Speaker 3: case they drummed up, there's confidential files that lay out
- 19:21Speaker 3: this fake, ridiculous scheme they had to go after Donald Trump.
- 19:25Speaker 3: And apparently, this guy is alleging, saying, but he worked
- 19:28Speaker 3: in her office. He's a former prosecutor. said that Letitia
- 19:32Speaker 3: James wanted him to destroy those confidential files and that
- 19:36Speaker 3: he refused to. And he's saying that she then threatened
- 19:39Speaker 3: him and kept threatening and menacing him, sending her investigators
- 19:44Speaker 3: to his house to bang on his door to demand
- 19:46Speaker 3: those files. But he is going public. So we'll see.
- 19:50Speaker 3: where this story goes. Let's go to Pat in Scarsdale. Pat,
- 19:54Speaker 3: how are you doing?
- 19:55Speaker 4: Very well, Mark.
- 19:56Speaker 10: I know you're an expert on many things, particularly rock
- 19:59Speaker 10: and roll. And Netflix now has this Eagles documentary out.
- 20:03Speaker 10: It's a two-part documentary. In your opinion, do you think
- 20:06Speaker 10: Don Felder was treated fairly by them?
- 20:09Speaker 3: I've got to be honest. I know this is, I'm
- 20:11Speaker 3: not supposed to say it. I've never been a big
- 20:13Speaker 3: Eagles fan. I mean, I know they got more hits.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Their Best Of album was like the number one bestseller.
- 20:20Speaker 3: More weeks at number one than any album in the
- 20:23Speaker 3: history of the world. I've never been that big. I
- 20:26Speaker 3: can't even tell them apart. They all look the same.
- 20:28Speaker 10: But this guy, he actually orchestrated Hotel California, their biggest song.
- 20:33Speaker 10: And then, you know, a few months later, they kick
- 20:35Speaker 10: him out of the band just because he wanted his
- 20:37Speaker 10: fair share of the, you know, the receipts.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Who knows what goes on with these guys, but is
- 20:42Speaker 3: it just me? There was something about that Hotel California.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I don't know. I just couldn't. As a DJ, I
- 20:48Speaker 3: loved it because it was six and a half minutes.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It gave you a time to go to the little
- 20:51Speaker 3: boy's room, but I don't know. Witchy woman. Take it easy.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Take it to the, I don't know. It just wasn't
- 21:02Speaker 3: an Eagles fan. One of these nights. That was the
- 21:05Speaker 3: only song I could actually listen to. You're not supposed
- 21:08Speaker 3: to say this. And if I went down the hall
- 21:10Speaker 3: to Q104, oh, my God, they'd go crazy if I
- 21:13Speaker 3: said it. Not an Eagles fan. Just never was. Let's
- 21:17Speaker 3: go to John in Ronkakamo. John, how you doing?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Hey, Mark.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Good.
- 21:23Speaker 9: Turned 63 today.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Oh, hang on. Let me see if the gift shop
- 21:27Speaker 3: is open. It's your birthday. Well, all right.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 9: Hey, so the point I wanted to make is isn't
- 21:35Speaker 9: it bad enough that we have MSNOW and CNN making
- 21:39Speaker 9: all these liberals crazy? Now we have Tucker Carlson turning
- 21:43Speaker 9: people on our side crazy. I have more people saying
- 21:46Speaker 9: that Trump is in the Epstein files.
- 21:52Speaker 3: No, he's ridiculous. But it's nothing new. You always had
- 21:55Speaker 3: those kind of things. They were always there before it
- 21:57Speaker 3: was Alex Jones. Tucker has decided he'll be the new
- 22:00Speaker 3: Alex Jones. He'll be the crazy. And believe it or not,
- 22:02Speaker 3: there's an audience for that stuff. They got him on
- 22:05Speaker 3: both sides, like really fringe, lunatic characters. That's what Tucker became.
- 22:09Speaker 3: It's kind of strange that he did that, but okay. Hey,
- 22:12Speaker 3: when we come back, the biggest guy ever in the
- 22:14Speaker 3: history of cable news, Bill O'Reilly will be with us next.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Lots to talk to him about coming up on 710WOR.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Mark Simone on 710WOR. Well, Bill O'Reilly, number one TV
- 22:29Speaker 3: anchor for decades, number one best-selling nonfiction author on earth.
- 22:35Speaker 3: You should get his latest book, Confronting America. It's an
- 22:38Speaker 3: amazing book that takes you through a lot of recent
- 22:41Speaker 3: history and a lot of great stories. It's Confronting America.
- 22:45Speaker 3: You can get it right now on Amazon. You can
- 22:48Speaker 3: also get it at BillOReilly.com. That's where you can get
- 22:51Speaker 3: the TV show, the column. The podcast, we'll do it live.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Some great stuff there. Everything's at BillOReilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, how
- 23:01Speaker 3: you doing?
- 23:02Speaker 4: I'm dizzy. I have so much work, it's unbelievable.
- 23:07Speaker 2: At my age, I should be in a golf cart
- 23:11Speaker 2: zipping around the villages. Okay, but nope. I'm fulfilling my obligations.
- 23:18Speaker 2: How are you, Simone?
- 23:19Speaker 3: I'm good. Hey, now, you were spotted at the White
- 23:23Speaker 3: House meeting with President Trump. What was that all about?
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I got summoned, and it's always good to see
- 23:32Speaker 2: the White House. Been there under three presidents. You know,
- 23:37Speaker 2: it's amazing coming from Levittown. I thought I would even
- 23:41Speaker 2: get to Washington, D.C., much less inside the Oval Office.
- 23:46Speaker 2: But in a conversation with the president and Secretary of
- 23:49Speaker 2: State Marco Rubio about Iran, and they asked my opinion.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I gave it to them, as I always do. No spin.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And I think something's going to happen there.
- 24:04Speaker 4: But I've been.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Saying that for a while, so I'm not sure how
- 24:07Speaker 2: much credibility I have on the issue.
- 24:09Speaker 3: You mean something... Before the midterms or after the midterms?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't do the president any good after the midterms,
- 24:19Speaker 2: politically speaking. So, you know, you've got this terror nation
- 24:25Speaker 2: who is basically giving us the finger and saying, we're
- 24:29Speaker 2: going to do.
- 24:30Speaker 4: What we want.
- 24:30Speaker 2: They just withdrew from the U.N. nuclear treaty. I mean,
- 24:36Speaker 2: they're doing everything they can to disrupt the world. Now,
- 24:40Speaker 2: the world doesn't care or is too cowardly or whatever
- 24:43Speaker 2: it may be, but we fell into this because the
- 24:46Speaker 2: Trump administration believed they'd knock Iran out quickly, and that
- 24:50Speaker 2: has not happened. But now I think they need to
- 24:54Speaker 2: be punished, and I suggested knocking out the airport, knocking
- 24:58Speaker 2: out all of their ability to ship anything anywhere. And
- 25:04Speaker 2: that's pretty much all we can do unless we want
- 25:06Speaker 2: to kill civilians, which the president does not want to do. Now,
- 25:12Speaker 2: the other party, the Democratic Party, wants to surrender to Iran.
- 25:16Speaker 2: That's just an outrage. We can't surrender to these barbarians.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I mean, tomorrow is the anniversary of October 7th.
- 25:23Speaker 4: You know that.
- 25:24Speaker 2: And who was behind that Hamas attack in Israel? Iran. So,
- 25:31Speaker 2: which was a surrender to these people? No, that's insane.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Even though you're paying more for gas and food, we
- 25:40Speaker 2: just cannot do that and maintain credibility all over the world.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I mean, if we pulled out of there and didn't
- 25:50Speaker 2: get anything out of this, Oh boy, would that be
- 25:53Speaker 2: a disaster? Wow.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point. Uh, Hey, uh, Bill O'Reilly.
- 25:57Speaker 3: So you were in the, uh, oval office. You've been
- 25:59Speaker 3: there many times, different presidents. So, uh, be honest. The, uh,
- 26:03Speaker 3: Current decor of the Oval Office, the decorating job there,
- 26:06Speaker 3: it's a little Liberace-ish, isn't it?
- 26:11Speaker 4: Good line. Good line. I think Liberace would be comfortable, but.
- 26:18Speaker 2: They've slimmed it down.
- 26:20Speaker 4: A little bit. Oh, good.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it got to the point now where they were
- 26:24Speaker 2: having antique shows, but now they've slimmed it down.
- 26:31Speaker 4: And it's magnificent. It really is.
- 26:35Speaker 2: And, you know, you get there, and I've been all
- 26:38Speaker 2: over the White House, and President Obama took me up
- 26:41Speaker 2: to the Lincoln Bedroom and showed me the Gettysburg Address.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I mean, it's just staggering for a person like me
- 26:48Speaker 2: who is closely allied with my country, not a political party,
- 26:53Speaker 2: but with my country itself. It's a magnificent building, and
- 26:58Speaker 2: it's a privilege for me to be invited to go there.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Now, when it comes to Donald Trump, you know him
- 27:03Speaker 3: better than anybody. You literally wrote the book on him.
- 27:07Speaker 3: If you study his career, he keeps getting bigger and
- 27:09Speaker 3: bigger and bigger. He kept growing and getting bigger and bigger.
- 27:13Speaker 3: When he leaves the Oval Office, when he leaves the presidency,
- 27:16Speaker 3: he won't be able to do that anymore. What else
- 27:18Speaker 3: can he do in life? It's going to be tough
- 27:19Speaker 3: for him. He can't grow anymore.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's going to launch a television network
- 27:25Speaker 2: of some kind or media something. That's where I see
- 27:29Speaker 2: him going. I could be wrong on it, but he's
- 27:32Speaker 2: not going to be sitting around, uh, going to the
- 27:35Speaker 2: Poconos every weekend. I mean, that's not going to be happening.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So he's got, uh, a lot of real estate all
- 27:42Speaker 2: over the world. You would assume that he will keep
- 27:45Speaker 2: up with that. Um, but he's enamored with the media. And, uh,
- 27:50Speaker 2: I think there's a Trump channel now. Nobody knows where
- 27:53Speaker 2: to find it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he
- 27:55Speaker 2: expands on that.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Um, Hey, a midterm elections, uh, The Republicans are a
- 28:02Speaker 3: little behind, but that's not bad, as long as you've
- 28:04Speaker 3: got momentum. Can he pull a rabbit out of his
- 28:06Speaker 3: hat again this time?
- 28:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:10Speaker 4: It's certainly, if you look at the races individually.
- 28:13Speaker 2: The Republicans aren't that far behind, as you pointed out.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And if the president can get some kind of action
- 28:23Speaker 2: going against Iran and convince the American oil companies... to
- 28:29Speaker 2: take maybe 200% profit a quarter, not 300%. 300% profit
- 28:35Speaker 2: on these things.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Come on.
- 28:38Speaker 2: And so if you can get that and people see
- 28:43Speaker 2: that there is an improvement happening, then the Republicans will surprise.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Because I don't know anybody in my circle who wants
- 28:53Speaker 2: these radicals to have power. Do you know anybody? I
- 28:56Speaker 2: don't know anybody. And I know thousands of people. I
- 29:01Speaker 2: don't know anybody who wants these radicals to take over.
- 29:04Speaker 2: That's why Hochul's having so much trouble. She's trying to
- 29:10Speaker 2: brand Blakeman as Trump-lite and all that. But what else
- 29:15Speaker 2: does Hochul have? What has she done for the state
- 29:19Speaker 2: other than raise taxes and make it incredibly difficult for
- 29:24Speaker 2: working people.
- 29:25Speaker 4: To live here?
- 29:27Speaker 2: I mean, I'm waiting for anything, madam.
- 29:31Speaker 7: Give me anything.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And so the rational voter, responsible voter goes, oh, I mean,
- 29:38Speaker 2: I like Trump. I mean, like Blakeman. I mean I
- 29:40Speaker 2: don't like the style I don't know what to do
- 29:42Speaker 2: but it this what you want is that what you
- 29:46Speaker 2: want and the kicker is when I'm doing my debates
- 29:50Speaker 2: with Cuomo News Nation or whatever the people who see
- 29:54Speaker 2: it another way I always ask them, well, what is
- 29:58Speaker 2: the Democratic Party's plan.
- 30:01Speaker 4: To drop prices? There is no plan.
- 30:05Speaker 2: There's no plan.
- 30:07Speaker 4: They don't have anything.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Zero. Now, the Republicans don't have anything either. But if
- 30:15Speaker 2: the Democratic Party gets power, you're going to see a
- 30:21Speaker 2: real fierce movement towards socialism. You know, I don't know
- 30:25Speaker 2: whether you noticed the riots in France last week with
- 30:29Speaker 2: the students burning down all.
- 30:30Speaker 4: The schools and all that.
- 30:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Did you see it?
- 30:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It was nasty. That's coming here. That's coming here. Because
- 30:41Speaker 2: these radical leftists, there's no restraint on them now, particularly
- 30:47Speaker 2: if the Democratic Party wins.
- 30:49Speaker 4: And gets power.
- 30:50Speaker 10: Who's going to restrain them?
- 30:51Speaker 4: Chuck Schumer?
- 30:54Speaker 2: I mean, I'm saying you can't surrender to terrorists in
- 30:58Speaker 2: Iran and you can't elect a party that is going
- 31:02Speaker 2: to give you Abdul Al-Sayed. Is that what you want?
- 31:09Speaker 2: And most people just walk away from that debate. They
- 31:12Speaker 2: don't engage because they know I'm right.
- 31:16Speaker 3: If the Democrats lose, are they going to then go
- 31:19Speaker 3: totally nuts, even crazier, erratic, or are they going to
- 31:23Speaker 3: smarten up and clean up their party?
- 31:26Speaker 4: I don't know about it.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I don't follow either party, the internal. There's no leadership
- 31:31Speaker 2: in the Democratic Party at all, so that's a big
- 31:34Speaker 2: vacuum there. So Schumer would maintain his position as the
- 31:40Speaker 2: leader of the Senate. Schumer's not going to do jack.
- 31:44Speaker 2: He's going to sit there until he retires, and once
- 31:47Speaker 2: AOC announces that she's going to run for the Senate,
- 31:50Speaker 2: that's when Schumer will hang it up. So you're not
- 31:53Speaker 2: going to get any reform. in the Democratic Party, even
- 31:57Speaker 2: if they get whacked, because there's nobody at the top
- 32:01Speaker 2: of it to steer that reform. On the Republican side,
- 32:06Speaker 2: two years of Donald Trump. When he leaves, it's a free-for-all.
- 32:10Speaker 2: In the meeting that I went to last week in
- 32:12Speaker 2: the Oval Office, Secretary of State Rubio was in the meeting.
- 32:18Speaker 2: It was the President, Rubio, and me. And I was
- 32:22Speaker 2: impressed by Rubio. I have to tell you, He's got
- 32:26Speaker 2: a good grasp of the world, and he's got a
- 32:28Speaker 2: very calm demeanor. I'm not endorsing anybody anywhere, but in
- 32:34Speaker 2: the past, I know him a little bit, but I
- 32:36Speaker 2: hadn't spent as much time as I did on Wednesday.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Interesting. Hey, we're out of time, but... I want to
- 32:43Speaker 3: recommend Bill O'Reilly's new book, Confronting America. You're going to
- 32:47Speaker 3: love this book. It's a lot of great stuff in there.
- 32:50Speaker 3: And the podcast, we'll do it live. You should watch that.
- 32:53Speaker 3: The latest one with Peter Navarro, really interesting. And the
- 32:56Speaker 3: new podcast is coming out.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be, oh, you're going to love this.
- 33:02Speaker 2: It's going to be me and Geraldo debating.
- 33:07Speaker 4: I'm calling it the.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Great Midterm Election Debate. We're putting the immigration thing on
- 33:13Speaker 2: the shelf because we've already done that. But Geraldo's taking
- 33:17Speaker 2: some pretty heavy shots at Trump.
- 33:22Speaker 4: And so it's going to be me.
- 33:25Speaker 2: And him about the midterm vote. And that is going
- 33:30Speaker 2: to drop on Thursday. And I can promise you that
- 33:33Speaker 2: will not be boring.
- 33:35Speaker 3: All right, well, everybody check that out. And make sure
- 33:37Speaker 3: you watch Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channel. Get the podcast. We'll
- 33:40Speaker 3: do it live. You just go to BillOReilly.com. Everything is there,
- 33:43Speaker 3: the book, the column, the podcast, the TV show, BillOReilly.com.
