- 0:00another week I just got back from the gym
- 0:04again he says again like he goes all the time like he went earlier today for the
- 0:09second time yes the second time
- 0:13in history yeah at the gym
- 0:18again welcome to multiple
- 0:22nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and
- 0:26Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All
- 0:32Things
- 0:37nerdy no I went did my Mobility thing so I stretched and moved feel good after I
- 0:44still don't know how I feel I still think I confused the guy
- 0:49probably with your movement he go do this now you should be filling all along
- 0:54here and I don't feel anything there but I can see those muscles doing
- 0:59something yeah but I don't feel it yeah when I went to Physio I CU I am not very
- 1:05Physically Active this is going to shock listeners I know and so I don't have
- 1:09good language for describing my body I assume it's the
- 1:12same as you although you've had more medical procedures L than than I ever
- 1:15have I don't have a good way to like convey information about how my body
- 1:20feels you know what I mean so like when yeah doing stretches and stuff like that
- 1:23and I'm like oh that hurts and he goes I shouldn't hurt and I'm like well maybe
- 1:27Hurt isn't the right word then I don't know yeah yeah yeah he uncomfortable
- 1:31pressure yeah pain is uncomfortable so yeah but he's quite good cuz he got he
- 1:37does go like um like I can still moving and goes Can you feel it anywhere I go I
- 1:42feel it there and he goes oh yeah that's that's okay but he knows my nerves are
- 1:46all messed up and do what they feel like they got a mind of their
- 1:51own now I just got to take some drugs cuz it's painful
- 1:57a while we're on multiple old man Health gasm which seems to be how we start a
- 2:02lot of these episodes recently it'll be increasing more and more of them I
- 2:06assume I didn't drink any alcohol for three weeks because I had a cold and I
- 2:10went down a pants size oh who yeah I feel like what we already
- 2:16knew was true which was that it was the booze yeah yeah I've lost quite a lot of
- 2:21weight from changing my diet and doing some exercise lately I reckon if I stop
- 2:25drinking lose even more in fact I've kind of plateaued at this point and
- 2:28that's probably why what I felt cuz I was exercising a fair bit and I I really
- 2:34wasn't eating very badly but two beers a night will will keep the belly on they
- 2:40do say that's too many the alcohol is I know that is what get is the big thing
- 2:44for me and that's why I've got the rules the rules now back in effect oh good so
- 2:49podcast what do you mean back in effect well he's on
- 2:53holiday rules good point good point good point they were still are part of the
- 2:56rules but I me like I haven't just slid back into off holiday and I'll just no
- 3:02it's my favorite part of this though was when I said I didn't drink because I was
- 3:05sick and L [Music] went
- 3:09we like yeah that'll make you feel
- 3:13better no it did not man I drank once at the start and I was like yeah I can't
- 3:19drink when I'm sick anymore it just makes me take longer to heal right yeah
- 3:26and I wanted to heal it wasn't fun being sick and on holidays and
- 3:33parenting yeah parenting gets uh harder as they get old it turns out I'm fine in
- 3:39different ways in wonderful different ways every week my friend at work his
- 3:43his son just turned five and he was like you know everyone told me having a baby
- 3:46was difficult and I was like I didn't find of that difficulty he like 5-year-old very
- 3:51difficult yeah l wants to go to the toilet by herself now which is fine but
- 3:56then it has to be cleaned up so yeah she does pretty well but you know and
- 4:02then she don't come in here don't come in here yeah all right
- 4:08upop get my uh disinfectant spray ready
- 4:13yeah I'm I'm happy I don't have children I would not cope well especially when
- 4:18they get to the why age oh why why why
- 4:24but then they then she'll ask why and then I give her like a really lame
- 4:28answer and then she'll say something really insightful like I said tday she
- 4:31was like this elephant in the book that's got spots and she goes why's the
- 4:33elephant got spots and I was like why do you have blue eyes to see
- 4:38you yeah yeah all right the elephant sees out of his spots then smartass just
- 4:45wasn't expecting that response at all I I love it when they just bust out
- 4:50profound you know I mean it's not not you know it's obvious answer but you
- 4:56thought you were tricking her you thought it was a rhetorical question
- 5:00look at you Dad yes that's true yeah
- 5:06yeah all right so what should we we start some follow-up news because I I
- 5:11I'm calling [ __ ] on this followup news Well it it is a little bit
- 5:16misleading in a way I think maybe somebody's fallen off the uh the radar
- 5:21and is looking for some attention so the um what the title here
- 5:26is only fan star behind gamergirl bathwater say put a 90k in debt with
- 5:31PayPal for years so what what that implies to anyone who doesn't actually
- 5:37read the article is that she lost money selling her bath water which is
- 5:41absolutely not true she made a packet of money but she broke the terms of service
- 5:45of PayPal by soliciting what they consider sex work on PayPal and so she
- 5:52was fined again and again and again to the total of $90,000 yeah right yeah but
- 5:57she made a hell of a lot more than cuz even even not making money on
- 6:03the bar advertised like the traffic that went to her site yeah yeah overall as a
- 6:08marketing scheme but even she must have
- 6:12felt because the individual fins were
- 6:16$1,500 right so if she if she let that clock up to 90k it must have been well
- 6:23worth it to pay all of those individual fines Yes again and again I think it is
- 6:28interesting that that well I guess it depends on the context it is interesting
- 6:32that selling the bath water was deemed to be sex work like I given the full
- 6:38context of everything I guess I can see how that would happen but it is
- 6:42interesting that that's well the thumbnail was probably also her in the B
- 6:45yeah so yeah I'm going to I don't think it's actually did I actually say it was
- 6:52terms for sex work cuz I think it's just selling um the water itself like there's
- 6:57a it's contam contaminated water essentially and
- 7:02there's got to be sort of that would be part of things that would be my
- 7:08guess you're probably right she she has said in the post that she made that she
- 7:13thinks PayPal just don't like sex workers yeah well that's definitely true
- 7:17like they just don't want to be associated with it well I mean it's like
- 7:20kind of like Vis and MasterCard were the only fans thing where they were like
- 7:25this is a problem for us because because they don't want someone saying why is my
- 7:29video up there I didn't consent why does MasterCard allow somebody to watch it
- 7:33MasterCard has put my porn on the inter and and then I think one of the big
- 7:36issues only had fans had was that Visa Mastercard were like how old are these
- 7:40people and only fans were like ah well I guess technically we don't know and then
- 7:44they were like that's a problem the entertainers I mean not the
- 7:50people purchasing yeah possibly both speaking you'd have to be 18 to have a
- 7:56credit card though so if you weren't you'd be is that true America I don't
- 8:01know maybe not they just kind of mail them to you here and say do you want this we'll
- 8:08activate it yeah spend it and I don't have any money they're like that's
- 8:13fine we'll just sell your debt on 200 we gave people houses they couldn't afford
- 8:19yeah whatever you do have we'll have that so yeah she say she lost money uh
- 8:25yeah I would argue I would agree with you guys I think overall that's probably
- 8:29true yeah but um yeah cuz the second you got the first fine if you'll go oh no
- 8:35this is going to cost me money you'd be putting a stop to it and going hey guys
- 8:39sorry can't do this not let it rack up to that and yes just and it's only F
- 8:45models like when they're in that top like 0.1% or
- 8:49something they're making like hundreds
- 8:52of thousand a month I just can't believe people find this attractive I'm just
- 8:59going on her Instagram now this is the same question for me as I find with guys
- 9:03who are into feet like women who dress up like little girls who look like
- 9:08they're from Japanese comic books I just don't get it it's not it's in no way
- 9:14attractive to me and that's why you're not paying her I absolutely am not
- 9:19paying for her photos or her bath water oh okay yeah because I mean she is
- 9:26pretty but like I see what you mean the costumes of very odd and I yeah not for
- 9:31me but she she's definitely not for me the coste I I I can't see the pretty
- 9:36through all the theatrics I think the other thing that it's offputting for me
- 9:41anyway is that I know that she's older but she makes herself look very young
- 9:46and I find that a little disturbing like I don't think I could you know I mean
- 9:51I'd have a good go but I'm not sure you know yeah yeah you have to take some
- 9:56Viagra first on the way yeah no it's just a little weird but people like it
- 10:01clearly yeah look she's not breaking any laws except for the terms of service she
- 10:06did break so whatever whatever supply
- 10:10and demand but uh not for me no not for
- 10:15me no not for me speaking of not for me
- 10:19Scarlet Johansson um she's in the news this week I'm more likely
- 10:25to B SP
- 10:31I found this story quite interesting this so yes I agree and in fact the more
- 10:37I learned about the story The more interesting it became yeah it gets quite
- 10:40interesting so the gist of it is chat GPT put out the new version the new was
- 10:45it 4 point no four or whatever it's called the new chat the the the version
- 10:49that really feels like you're just talking to a person right it's got a
- 10:53voice like uh associated with it and they they've hired somebody to voice it
- 10:57and it's AI voice speaks to you and people pointed out sounds a bit like
- 11:03scholar Johansson which is not like it's not kind of random
- 11:08because there's a movie called her where she's the voice of an AI right so people
- 11:13would make that connection pretty easily I would think and then I guess
- 11:17apparently what happened is she then came out and said or they
- 11:22approached me to do the voice and I said no so they've obviously copied my voice
- 11:28and now she's in them which seems fair enough
- 11:33except apparently open open AI came out and said well what actually happened is
- 11:39we hired this this woman named Sky to be
- 11:44the voice of chat GPT she did the whole thing and then someone pointed out kind
- 11:50of sounds like the AI from that movie her and they like SC why don't we ask
- 11:55her if she'd come in and do it instead that could be a good marketing thing she
- 12:00said no they moved on um so they're saying it's a coincidence and this voice
- 12:06actor Sky saying well yeah they never told me to sound like her no one's ever
- 12:11said I sound like her like and she's submitted like voice recordings and it's
- 12:15all going to court you there's possibly yeah she said you know she's never been
- 12:20accused of sounding like Scarlet Johansson before this yeah it's never
- 12:23come up yeah the only thing that I can think is that whoever
- 12:29whichever producer hired Sky to do the original voiceover possibly picked her
- 12:36voiceover sample out of hundreds of other samples because she sounded a bit
- 12:40like this voice from her and you not
- 12:44meaning to play exactly if they can prove that they had this done before
- 12:49they ever approached Scarlet Johansen that does kind of indicate they yeah
- 12:53which would be a very easy thing to show yeah Al They really did make it
- 12:59worse like I can understand why Scarlet Johansson thinks yeah oh they asked me
- 13:04to do it I said no and there's a person doing it yeah that's well that's a bit
- 13:09of a coincidence isn't it but apparently it might be and I think yeah if that is the case
- 13:15just a coincidence they've made it worse by asking her yes well they didn't know
- 13:19this was going to happen presumably yeah well I don't know I think they just had
- 13:24a big strike about this didn't they yes yeah but I'm saying is that
- 13:29they weren't trying to copy her well if they weren't trying to copy her voice
- 13:33they would never have considered it might look bad for us if we ask it
- 13:36because they've just had the strike they would have just thought oh that' be cool
- 13:39you know what I mean like there just a bunch of nerds in theory yeah yeah if
- 13:42the meeting was can we afford Scarlet Johansson because if not let's get a
- 13:46girl who sounds like her yeah that's a problem yeah yeah it all come out like
- 13:51if there's an email or anything that says like hey can you do this sound like
- 13:55this then they're run in trouble if just not was like the uh music that we used
- 14:00to use when we when I worked in TV there was you know you know this mat liaries
- 14:03and liaries of production music but they used to be listed as Sounder likes when
- 14:07they sounded like something else like they used to say this sounds like David
- 14:10Bowie and then and then one day that all just went away and because because
- 14:15people were like well mate if you want something to sounds like David Bowie
- 14:19David Bo and you're pay him for it yeah yeah I think it' be interesting
- 14:25depending on first of all whatever if they once we have all the information
- 14:29and they prove one way or the other were they trying to get it to sound like her
- 14:33or is it a coincidence and if it's a coincidence it would be interesting to
- 14:37see what they decide because I guess in theory Del she could still win well
- 14:43that's they were talking about doing that now just to get out it just to make
- 14:45it go away that's what I would do just forget it cut your losses yeah I think
- 14:50if if they determin it was an accident and she still wins that's pretty
- 14:56interesting and really like it's not like jck she GPT is making
- 15:01money no this could cheaper just to go they are making some money I think yeah
- 15:08I'm not quite sure how so chat gbt makes money if you pay 10 bucks a
- 15:14month and also they get money from Microsoft because they've got an
- 15:18agreement with Microsoft where Microsoft lets them use all their servers which is
- 15:24how chat GPT runs but they get all the technology which is what microsof
- 15:29co-pilot is jbt so I'm sure there must be some money going back and forth I
- 15:33also think they probably sell data I think that's so I think I think money is
- 15:39not an issue as such no I think there's money there but I don't think there's a
- 15:42they they've got like a lot of cash on hand at the moment like cash going to
- 15:46come later so at the moment why well it's a nonprofit I think yeah so they're
- 15:51not supposed to I don't think we're nonprofit as well but unofficially
- 15:55because we make no profit we don't make a profit yeah no it's like if you look at
- 16:02Facebook oh don't Facebook I know but like Facebook there was no money until
- 16:07the end and then there was a lot and then there was a lot
- 16:11yeah so I've just noticed guys uh when when did we decide to turn our
- 16:16microphones on the side like this is like shooting like guns the cool guy
- 16:20style like this but you guys obviously didn't pass the memo on to me I um I did
- 16:27it because I used to to have it here and it gets in the way when I'm trying to
- 16:32look something up like if we're chatting and I want to search something I bump it
- 16:35and I [ __ ] around and it was annoying me because it's on my arm and it goes over
- 16:39there when I so I've got it on the stand that's over at the side now so that it's here
- 16:44and then I was I was like is that going to be stupid and then I noticed Luke did
- 16:47it and I was like well his sounds good so clearly it's fine just so you know
- 16:51guys I'm not doing it that's fine you don't have to yeah you know want to be
- 16:55cool and get a little arm that you can just move around I had an arm I sold it
- 17:01too much room on my desk yeah that's right no I had one as well it was
- 17:04annoying this one I just literally I just take this off my desk and put it
- 17:07down there when I'm not using it yeah
- 17:11but yeah it is cool sorry yeah cool guys sty but you can't you can't uh I'm also
- 17:17got a cool blue light this week that I'm no like I said I feel like maybe it's
- 17:21too much at the moment but I'm not going to change it now if anything it's not
- 17:25quite enough we're 15 minutes in I'm not changing it now you need a the other
- 17:29side to really look like an a24 movie poster oh yeah but I think since I've
- 17:35opened the blind in my room I've get the natural light in here I'm looking a lot
- 17:38better these days I uh I've caught a bug
- 17:43uh recently the bug is the
- 17:50uh automated lighting bug and just I put
- 17:54one smart globe in a lamp in the living room m and then put all spent it an
- 18:01entire afternoon programming all these presets when I come out at night I want
- 18:05it on a low blue just so that I can just see when everyone's there when I'm
- 18:10watching TV I want it to dim to this and and then I'm like well every room in the
- 18:13house has to be automated now lighting so oh I'm starting to think maybe I
- 18:17should set that up cuz in our downstairs I'm sure this is fascinating to
- 18:20listeners um our light blobes blow all the time we go through quite a lot so I'm
- 18:26think get smart globes in are just always on so they don't have that on and
- 18:31off that maybe they'll last longer yeah maybe do you know uh when light Globes
- 18:37were invented like at the turn of the 20th century they were invented to just
- 18:40last forever but they soon realized that you don't make money selling things that
- 18:45you don't replace so they purposely make them with thin filaments that burn out
- 18:49and there are still light Globes from that time that have never been off that
- 18:54has Centennial like Globe yeah New York City yeah you can go and watch it and this
- 19:01thing has turn off once because they moved it from one premis to another but
- 19:05then they plugged it back in the world's longest like glob C in Livermore it was
- 19:10first installed at the fire department horse cut house on El Street in 1901 and
- 19:15it is still going strong today they don't have to burn out they make them
- 19:19like that on purpose like an iPhone well the iph become useless for
- 19:26other reasons too though so it used to be uh no no no I mean like as
- 19:31in like software oh I see I thought you just I thought you were ragging on Apple
- 19:36for a no I mean like if you tried to put like you know modern operating systems
- 19:39on an old computer you wouldn't be able to do it because they just don't have oh
- 19:43I'll tell you what the juice I need to call out Google and I just got a new phone and my
- 19:49god did she get a good deal oh so she she's had a pixel 4 XL forever MH and
- 19:55she went finally going to get a new one so got thex Pro
- 19:59H um up to eight now are they yeah eight double the size they're going to they're
- 20:05giving her like $350 cash back for trading in a phone oh yeah and then also
- 20:09gave her $500 Google credit that's right Google credit so she ended up getting
- 20:14the phone for like this $1,700 phone for like 900 bucks it's what can you spend
- 20:19Google credit on what can what can you buy on Google um she brought me she
- 20:23brought me and her sister headphones like pixel headphones she brought a case
- 20:27like you can buy go go Google products you use it on use on the Play Store and
- 20:32stuff I guess too that right and like oh okay now you're talking buy some movies
- 20:37or sort of ridiculous that's interesting I've never bought anything from Google
- 20:42as far as I know I used to when because you know you've got Movies Anywhere now
- 20:47so you buy a movie on one platform it kind of goes on all the others I think
- 20:51that's depending on presumably sure yeah yeah no you sign up for movies anywhere
- 20:56you can link all your real thing is it yeah oh yeah yeah it works pretty well
- 21:00um not all Studios do it but a lot of them do so like basically if you you buy
- 21:05a movie on the Xbox store you also get it on iTunes and on Google and
- 21:10everywhere everywhere else you just you know you done that no I think this is
- 21:15only an American thing I think it's an all right well it's [ __ ] great um so
- 21:19what I used to do is just find out where it was the cheapest and buy it there so
- 21:23I bought stuff on Google yeah because then you just get it on all the other
- 21:27platforms anyway so yeah cuz remember when Blu-ray came out and they started
- 21:31giving you a digital code as well I like okay that makes sense cuz I don't always
- 21:34want to pop this in yeah well those now as well if I if I redeem one of those I
- 21:38get it on everything having to make a choice it's only open to us residence 13
- 21:43plus which is sort of annoying and this is something I was wondering recently
- 21:46you know how there's things now like if I buy something on the store and they go
- 21:51where now don't have that anymore you lose it when they get that license back
- 21:55again do you get it back again I bet not if they can
- 21:59question but I'm sure you don't yeah I'm sure you don't but I think that's
- 22:02there's no money in that out of the kindness of their
- 22:08hearts I'll drive it around to your house hey just let you know you can pop
- 22:12that pop back on Clerk's 2 again that's happening more and more I see so many
- 22:16videos of people now talking about like get a [ __ ] server and set up Plex in
- 22:21your house and start buying Blu-rays and ripping them cuz it's the only way
- 22:24you're going to keep these movies like they will take them from you yeah they
- 22:28will yeah I must say it's not that that that contributes but man I I I've miss
- 22:34my DVD collection I miss being able to just look at my DVDs and go oh and I
- 22:38watch that that existed but here I am looking at it no I think that they need
- 22:42to do something they need to change the name of buying
- 22:45it yeah longterm rental and shortterm rentals you rent it and then you buy it
- 22:51but you don't actually buy it you're still renting it so I think they really
- 22:54need to change the name of it because I think that's I think that's what really
- 22:57upset because but when you buy something you you think you're buying
- 23:01it yeah I do think now more when we were we we when when digital stuff first
- 23:08came in and I I'm aware that a DVD is digital but you know what I mean and
- 23:13when digital files first started being sold we were very skeptical for this
- 23:17exact reason because we all said no I'm keeping my DVDs I'm keeping my CDs and
- 23:22then had an article on the website when mul did that about this we were very con
- 23:27digital down and then eventually that's just how everything games in particular I think
- 23:32we were super negative about buying digital games yeah oh and actually we're
- 23:37about to see that was like the go the Xbox 360 store you now I'm
- 23:43playing an Xbox 360 game at the moment that I wouldn't mind mentioning um by
- 23:48the way [ __ ] it's nice playing Xbox 360 games on the Xbox series X they load so
- 23:53[ __ ] quick oh man I play Smooth cuz I playing Xbox 360 games at the moment on
- 23:59an Xbox 360 and my God it is slow yeah is that you have to do have the
- 24:05achievements is that yeah yeah what game are you playing I'm
- 24:10playing Fallout New Vegas and there's a reason I'm playing yeah yeah well
- 24:14there's two reasons so number one I've watched more of Fallout I watched four
- 24:19episodes the other day and it's finally good you guys were right it's finally
- 24:24good so uh the storyline that you guys flagged like last week the the brother
- 24:30looking out for the vault mystery it's good that's cool more of that please um
- 24:36I'm finally starting to empathize with you know the sexy ghoul that everyone
- 24:41was going on about and I was like I don't I don't get it um you really get it at the
- 24:47end what a threat you know what I mean I do know what you mean um so yeah so I I
- 24:53I was I finally came around but then I was like well now I want to play a
- 24:56Fallout game but I don't want to play Fallout 4 because it's [ __ ] massive
- 25:00and I don't want to play Fallout 3 because I don't want to spend a year in
- 25:03the [ __ ] sewer again I've done that too many times and then I was play in
- 25:07your bedroom down well there was New Vegas which didn't have any of that
- 25:12stuff and was just a great Fallout came best ones it really is so I am loving
- 25:17this and uh I I've forgotten most of it everything is like a hazy memory which I
- 25:22think is actually the best way to play games because when you go in blind you
- 25:26[ __ ] at them and you don't have any fun uh so I I can do it I'm good at it right
- 25:31from the start but I forget what's going to happen so it's really good and it's
- 25:36on Game Pass so you play it for free I need to do it because I never finished
- 25:39it I got up to the point where I was playing all the three factions against
- 25:44each other and then it got up to the point of you now need to decide what
- 25:49you're going to do and I you I can't a decision I'm not going to make that
- 25:52decision turn it off let come and get me yeah I finished it but I definitely
- 25:57could do a different to different playr like as you could make it'll be
- 26:01different anyway it's nearly the same yeah true yeah I should play through
- 26:04that again I've been playing something else but we'll get to that the tone of
- 26:08it is so good it's just really good yeah yeah obsidian obsidian were just great
- 26:14please give give some give obsidian let them do it letse play they asked about
- 26:21apparently they said we would like to do the same thing for Fallout four and
- 26:25Bethesda said n y it's like all right which I think Beth I think are now
- 26:29starting to regret that because you when's the next Fallout game really
- 26:33going to come like the next game that they're releasing is Elder
- 26:37Scrolls that's not coming out for like four more
- 26:42years so when're not looking at a for that game for 10 years like the I think
- 26:47they thought Starfield was going to be more of a yeah hit than it was yeah I
- 26:53thought they were going to they thought we were going to say I'm never playing
- 26:56any other game but Starfield I now live in Starfield but there's nothing to do in
- 27:01Starfield it very big empty game I think they thought all those
- 27:07awards that went to Boulders Gate 3 were going to be coming their way I I think
- 27:11they honestly just thought that look at Boulders gate eventually with Starfield
- 27:15I I think I'm am interested to go back soon I'm going to wait till the DLC to
- 27:20come out but I know they're releasing a lot of stuff which is adding a lot of
- 27:23stuff like they're adding yeah I temped I wait until it was all out before I
- 27:27went back don't go back in just on day one of the uh of the patch right no I'm
- 27:32waiting for more content as well but I know that with the patches and stuff
- 27:36they are releasing extra stuff as well but I'm waiting for more story right
- 27:40okay speaking of which Speaking of extra stuff and story let's just let's just
- 27:46back this up a sec Matt you finished a game this week I did and it took me 10
- 27:5215 years when did that come out 2010 20 [ __ ] 14 years I finished Alan Wake
- 27:59started it in 2010 I don't know why I had to think about that cuz you
- 28:03literally just told me to started it in 2010 finished it in 2024 I was there I
- 28:08was there when you started it we in 2010 what did you think cuz you finally got
- 28:12to the end I honestly I assume you think exactly what everyone else thinks was
- 28:17that it was a great experience but a garbage game yeah yeah no I mean look
- 28:22the I played the remastered version and I don't I mean I don't remember I don't
- 28:26remember exactly why I stopped playing the first time I do I told I've said
- 28:30this before when I got to the bit where I stopped boring and tedious well I it
- 28:33was the there was a bit with the tractor and I just got the shits and then just
- 28:38never early on man that is early on right and but this time I didn't have
- 28:41any trouble with that probably as Luke pointed out cuz I'm playing it on easy
- 28:44whereas 14 years ago I wouldn't have done that I would have been a massoch
- 28:48about it like no [ __ ] the [ __ ] you a manual transmission car and I play all
- 28:54games on Nightmare Mod I did I did yeah is all about
- 28:59me that's [ __ ] annoying
- 29:03um yeah uh I loved it yeah it's great yep yeah great story uh like super weird
- 29:09but in a good way um because it's very odd but it's just takes itself so
- 29:14seriously that you're like yeah and the weirdness goes so deep too because just
- 29:18when you think oh yeah I I get this writing stories and the stories are
- 29:22happening but you're like nah no it's way weirder than that super weird yeah
- 29:26who's Thomas Zayn where's the [ __ ] cabin what's going
- 29:31on yeah who wrote who into existence Lake it's an ocean no it was good
- 29:37um the combat I was about to say it but I can't the combat it wouldn't make any
- 29:42sense to him anyway the combat is like eh um but it's
- 29:48not as bad as I remember but I think because because I had her on easy
- 29:53probably yeah I never got like I died a couple times but I never got like proper
- 31:17[Music]
- 31:28I was going to go try and see if you had play but I think you play Dan I think
- 31:31you played on a different account because I remember you reset your Xbox I
- 31:37did at one stage but that would have been my original playthrough but I
- 31:40played this like three months ago oh the remaster the remaster I looking on the
- 31:46orig the remaster they're on there it it I'll say this though they don't make it
- 31:51obvious that they're there I like I know they're there because I've been looking
- 31:54for them mate because Jenna told me oh you're going to have to play the dlc's
- 31:57as well and I was like oh okay I looked it up that's how I know but but I mean
- 32:02it's not when you finish the game it just dumps you back to the main menu
- 32:04doesn't say no I'll play the rest of it like episodes yeah I find out I can I
- 32:09can do this CH your difficulty and then see oh my God
- 32:15yeah look but they're not no no and in fact one thing that's good is that
- 32:21people complained that they were short and I was like good cuz I want to know
- 32:25fine and I want to know what happens in them just so I'm all caught up and
- 32:28everything and then yeah it's not like you're s going to be sitting down for
- 32:31another like 10 hours or anything you can knock I said you can knock both of
- 32:35them out in in one evening then not I when when you said that I meant to
- 32:40comment back and say I think maybe your gaming sessions are a little different
- 32:44to Dan in my gaming sessions these days I was going to say that too I was
- 32:49going to say one evening what what do you think is happen [ __ ] I going have a
- 32:52whole evening to do that yeah yeah yeah took me took me 14 years to finish
- 32:58the game look no but that's real time because number two takes place 13 years after
- 33:05number one and the reason got wait until I'm in my 60s I remember with Tomb
- 33:11Raider late 50s play both back to back thanks D great Tomb Raider I think when
- 33:17you played through Tomb Raider you like the first one then you played the second
- 33:19one sort of straight away oh yeah it's too much it's too much it's the same
- 33:24thing I went back and finished the second one it's still good good game but
- 33:28yeah when you do the I've only done the second but there's a third too well I
- 33:33finished the second one and then I started the third one immediately and
- 33:35then I I've that halfway through so you need that break in between games like
- 33:40you also can't do two U Assassin's Creeds back to back either because just
- 33:45like you you need a a pallet cleanser CU they're not the same but they are very
- 33:51similar yes yeah so yeah I will I'll play something else I've got um what
- 33:55have I got queued up a few things well um what just came out that I'm
- 34:00looking forward to playing sen 2 I gotta play the first one oh yeah I play the
- 34:05first one but the first one is very good I started the first I got to the I don't
- 34:10think I finished it either and it was cool yeah it's pretty
- 34:14tricky yeah it was good games and if you do go with it I recommend playing with
- 34:19headphones oh yeah no no I did that too because I love the little voices
- 34:23yeah I gotta play that yeah yeah it was very good so that just I've got it
- 34:28installed but I haven't started playing it yet but I am really looking forward to
- 34:33that so we only get to play it once this
- 34:36time the first one had Xbox achievements and then Xbox Windows achievements so
- 34:42you could stack they don't have he only gets to play it once you can play it as many
- 34:48times as you want Luke I you only want to play it once I can't waste time
- 34:53playing a game if I'm not getting achievements like I'm I've started
- 34:56playing Watch Dogs again H watch game cuz I'm playing on the Xbox
- 35:02360 version right oh God I'm trying to I
- 35:07think I did play Watch Dogs on 360 that or maybe watch one of the ones that came
- 35:13out on Xbox 360 and Xbox One at the same time or was that probably not actually I
- 35:17was an early adoped with Xbox one it was one of the few that I bought like week
- 35:23one I got one as a Christmas present from my boss couldn't believe that
- 35:28that's right yeah what a legend you basically got a choice or Xbox oh I know
- 35:34it wasn't just me everybody in the office yeah no that was yeah no no he
- 35:37was a champ you should have said PlayStation because you shout out Chris
- 35:39if he still listens he he used to listen to this I don't know if he still does
- 35:42but shout out to Chris Chris where's my [ __ ] Xbox yeah I'd like one I need a
- 35:48new Xbox you don't I want a new Xbox how
- 35:53many do you have uh two no I've got two Xbox series X
- 35:59two Xbox Ones I gave my Xbox One X to my sister and I've only got one Xbox 360
- 36:05which scares me cuz well no I've always liked to have
- 36:11backup consoles cuz with especially with the 360 I I own more than 1 360 not at
- 36:17the same time but I mean this was back when a console could just [ __ ] die
- 36:20die and I if it dies I don't know but can I buy how much does the Xbox 360 to
- 36:26buy these days you'll probably find that it's still in
- 36:30The Sweet Spot of being just new enough to be too old to have
- 36:37yeah gone up what I can't [ __ ] speak I've probably got $89 that's fine what
- 36:43did I do with mine I think mine got red ringed and I don't think I just got rid
- 36:46of my first one got red ringed I bought a new one we might have one downstairs
- 36:51but I don't know how I would get it to you Luke CU it would also be Australian
- 36:55too oh yeah I was going to say not like I've ever used it here this one
- 36:59for 63 on special try occasion not
- 37:03opening that's fine we have a box for one downstairs I'm sure there's probably
- 37:08one in there it's amongst the stuff we ship over from Australia and then just
- 37:11put in the basement Yeah well yeah mean you got to be careful plugging those
- 37:15things in right yeah I bought all new power adapters for for like the Wii U
- 37:20and the Xbox Ones when we moved I went to GameStop and bought new par adaps for
- 37:26him I looked into into buying a suddenly for some dumb reason decided that I
- 37:31wanted to own an omga cd32 you know the console that Amiga did right before
- 37:35Commodore went back think plenty of dumb reasons to own one of them yeah but I
- 37:39was like I was like I could get one I bet I could find one and then like I
- 37:43could just collect games for it you know forget about everything else just get
- 37:47all my no there so it's like $6,000 to buy a proper working one need to pick
- 37:52something more generic yeah like I I would love to get like a the remember
- 37:58the SEC Mega Drive Mega CD love get one of them I'm just having a look they're
- 38:03starting at like 700 bars actually that's not too bad it's
- 38:09not too bad but but it's still it's still a lot of money for a 25y old
- 38:13console Mega CD was so good it was basically the same Graphics as Mega
- 38:18Drive but with Better Sound have digital
- 38:21music that's I missed sea just really screwed themselves over they released
- 38:27many consoles they went like the 32x the mega CD and all this stuff and
- 38:32then the Sega satin released like 12 games and then just moved
- 38:37onam released the Dreamcast was like the greatest console ever and because they
- 38:43just burnt so many people yeah because it was better than the PlayStation
- 38:492 so I've heard Dave had one but yeah it's the
- 38:55only one I've ever played was Dave's h yeah I I had one and then the drive
- 39:00broke I still got it here I should try and fix it the graphics [ __ ] blew me
- 39:04away at that time I was like this is [ __ ] beautiful St Virtual Fighter yeah that
- 39:11was my favorite game on that console and the thing about it if you were to get
- 39:14one now the they didn't really have a great uh it was very easy to Pirate
- 39:20games on the and no one's copy it no no
- 39:24one's doing like dakes and retro ports stuff for that system you know in the
- 39:30same way as like people still code games for the Commodore 64 you know you can
- 39:35get brand new games for the com no Dre Nintendo system too saw a bunch of them at
- 39:41packs he does it in notepad I was like I saw you're a [ __ ]
- 39:45masochist yeah that's right I saw uh just advertise you know I mean I get
- 39:51always advertised these like generic consoles a thousand games you know that that kind of
- 39:58doesn't interest me whatever but there was one that's just got slots for all
- 40:05cartridges
- 40:07oh SN Genesis and must be Master System it's just got
- 40:14four plug anything into it but you've got to have the cartridge you got to
- 40:17have the cartri problem is the cartridge is now worth so much money yeah Jo I
- 40:22noticed um I was looking at the the kesla raffle the per FRC was was doing
- 40:27and a million dollars off of that CU I was like how would you give away a car
- 40:32worth hundred grand and I'm like oh because they're $5 tickets and
- 40:36everyone's going to buy one yeah yeah yeah well yeah hopefully he does a right
- 40:39out of it and hopefully I win or you win one hopefully one well I decided not to
- 40:43do it because I realized it's it's going to be left-handed Drive oh that's true
- 40:47and like cuz he said he'll ship it anywhere in the world which also just
- 40:50proves how much money just give him my address that's fine but the the cost of
- 40:55of converting that if that's even a sure would would just be no you can drive
- 41:00left-handed cars here you yeah I've seen those before but I
- 41:05noticed when I was looking at no way I'm going to be able to figure that [ __ ] out
- 41:08I went back to look at it just to say how long is there to go on this and it's
- 41:10end of next month and then I noticed he has other Raffles and I was like oh what
- 41:15else is he raffling off and one of them was SP night with my
- 41:18wife he did that video about the the
- 41:22Retro computer that he helped design I forget the name of it he's raffling off
- 41:28the Prototype of that oh wow so I bought a couple of tickets for that too I was
- 41:31like that be also he's raffling off the 400 prototype
- 41:38yeah lot of these I won't even look at the non prototype of that I'm not I'm not
- 41:45interested in the Atari 400 it's just it doesn't do it for me I mean if you had
- 41:48one maybe well like as he did he's very passionate about that particular machine
- 41:52I got the Oma mini the day it came out the 641 and the Oma 5001 I'm happy
- 41:56they're great yeah exactly um if you want to buy a piece of
- 42:02retro Tech I think you could probably get a pretty cheap Spotify car thing in
- 42:09the next couple of months what's a Spotify car thing this is a device that
- 42:14Spotify released that you can attach to
- 42:17your car and play Spotify in your
- 42:21car uh and I mean how do you attach it
- 42:26well it it Clips onto the vent right and
- 42:29then you it's like a third party Apple what do they call it carplay thing yeah
- 42:36yeah except for just Spotify well and the thing is the cars now either have
- 42:40carplay as you mentioned or Android auto or they have their own thing like the
- 42:44Teslas have their own thing and most of those can play Spotify I think I think
- 42:49this is more for old cards if you if you have a car more than 10 years old it's
- 42:52not going to have any of that well I mean this thing has clearly not been
- 42:56that successful because they've it was $90 uh it's been on sale since 2024 sorry
- 43:022022 and uh they're saying it was quite nice but they've just pulled the plug on
- 43:07it as of December 9th 2024 the car thing will be discontinued and will stop
- 43:14operating so if you bought one literally pulling the plug throw it in the trash I
- 43:21guess because I'm assuming this thing must use a data connection to so it'll
- 43:26self-destruct to do it thing and they're just going to shut it all
- 43:29down so we're on sale February 2022 so it's not
- 43:35even look I might have considered this when I had the mini I had a 2014 mini
- 43:39Countryman and it was a beautiful car and I just like it's got that cool retro
- 43:44interior and everything with the steampunk dials and stuff but it didn't
- 43:48have an LCD screen like it was just on the cusp of when they became standard
- 43:53and uh I looked at getting one fitted and it was going to cost me five grand
- 43:57to get one to get the radio removed and and the screen in like our car doesn't
- 44:02have so 90 bucks for a Spotify thing ofama jig or whatever it's called I
- 44:07spent um 1,500 bucks on the the system
- 44:11that was in my Pulsar back in the day
- 44:16Pioneer strip thing it's got the screen but the screen doesn't really do anything
- 44:23you but but we've got Bluetooth and the Bluetooth doesn't everything but I could
- 44:28this I think this car thing was about 10 years too
- 44:32late yes yeah yeah I just think it's funny but I mean at least they're honest
- 44:38that they're just saying throw it in the oh no dispose it
- 44:42responsibly we are not offering any refunds we are not offering anything
- 44:46we're cutting losses we going to me sorry about that it's trash now it's
- 44:51just rare for a company to be that blatant about it yeah yeah don't come
- 44:57complaining to me the phone like normally they'll make some promise that
- 45:00they'll then not follow up on and then people complain but was this an actual
- 45:04Spotify product or is this a third party no Spotify product so it's it's not like
- 45:09someone's going bankrupt and you like good luck getting in touch with them
- 45:13like I think I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like you could bump up your
- 45:17subscription to get it or it was $90 and uh yeah I don't know I think it's just a
- 45:23thing where they just went like we're not making money off this we're losing
- 45:27money and yeah I can't imagine it would be that popular to be honest no
- 45:33like even like 10 years ago a lot of cars were starting to come out with
- 45:37Bluetooth at least and that's all you need if you had a mount for your iPhone
- 45:42you could essentially have carplay you just had to keep touching your iPhone
- 45:46screen not yeah yeah a third screen in
- 45:49your car I plug my phone into my car and
- 45:53it comes up on the screen and then I I like for a while I was like plugging it
- 45:59in is inconvenient a little bit it would be better if I could just keep it in my
- 46:04pocket and use it and you can get little adapters that do that and so I had one
- 46:07of those for a while but there the adapter's a bit flaky so I just plug it
- 46:10in but like that's that inconvenience of that half a second yeah it's just not
- 46:15worth it for the the screen get screen because it charges as well yep right
- 46:21yeah yeah so I I just automate most cars clip in when I get out of my car my
- 46:26[ __ ] screen says don't forget your phone yeah but most cars don't need the
- 46:31cable now even right I've got to plug mine in most people with new like Jenna
- 46:35doesn't need a cable for hers I don't think yeah right right it just
- 46:38automatically Bluetooth does it yeah so well I got blown away when I had
- 46:44my brother's um uh Camry here for a little while which is which is a [ __ ]
- 46:49beautiful car um but it has keyless like keyless entry and keyless you got the
- 46:56key in your pocket unlock when you step yeah J does that and you can just press
- 46:59the ignition button yeah and just cuz you've got the key on you yeah cuz sometimes if if
- 47:06we're somewhere and she like if I got to drop her off somewhere and she gets out
- 47:09and she's still got the key in a pocket and I'll go to the car will
- 47:13go he's on the car it's like [ __ ] I said something before I got down the road and
- 47:17it just shut off just stops oh yes [Music]
- 47:22right I don't know I I have a scooter I don't have anything fancy like that
- 47:27do you listen to music when you scoot I do like a headphones y you have a helmet
- 47:33with built-in no I used to I had my helmet and I had stuff and then now I Ed
- 47:38my pixel earbuds they're same is that not that they could tell you were doing
- 47:42it but is that are you allowed to do that yeah I wondered I'm not entirely
- 47:47sure cuz you're not allowed headphones while driving a car I know that I got
- 47:52pulled over here like literally just up the road cuz um I had my airpods in and it
- 47:58was literally because I'd gone to just a park up the road there to walk my dog
- 48:03and I was 5 minutes away and I was listening to a podcast and I was like a
- 48:06[ __ ] I'll just keep listening to my headphones I'm not going to bother yeah
- 48:09and a cop pulled me over he was very polite about it but he said oh you can't
- 48:13drive with those in and I was like oh I'm sorry I didn't know and then he took
- 48:17my license stuff went back to presumably get me give me a ticket must have done
- 48:22some research while he was there came back and he goes actually um
- 48:27sorry I think maybe you're allowed to have one in did you have them both in I
- 48:31didn't really see guys you know what don't worry about it you guys yeah let's
- 48:35just assume we both know now and have a nice day yeah of that's good mate
- 48:42because I'm a sovereign citizen I was going to give you a whole spiel about
- 48:46yeah well I think I wouldn't have lied to if he'd said you have both then I
- 48:48would have said yeah I did like I'm not but I also think those the like e iPods
- 48:55or whatever they are the pixel like they're getting to stage where if you
- 48:58don't have noes canceling you can still hear stuff oh yeah the ambient Mode's
- 49:01good yeah so it's not a bad thing anymore and I don't know about because I
- 49:07can buy I just tried to look up can I wear like headphones or riding
- 49:10motorcycle and it's all I got was ads for putting getting headphones you get
- 49:15helmets with it built in like we were talking about I don't think it's helmets
- 49:19with a two-way so that you can chat with the person clinging to the back so I
- 49:22don't think it is illegal it's probably just one of the things of like don't
- 49:25listen to stuff too loud because yeah and it's fine too because people have
- 49:31music in their car so loud they can't hear anything anyway like how is that
- 49:34different and then also since I've been here they changed
- 49:39the law so that you know allow to hold your phone and drive like could talk on
- 49:43your phone and then cuz remember people were mad about I can't fing talk on our
- 49:46phones and I was like wait we were allowed to do that yeah yeah yeah all to
- 49:50do that in Australia for 30 years death trap yeah like not even like we weren't
- 49:54allowed to do it like it well before smartphones I'm who ever allowed to do
- 49:59it like they got they jumped on that real quick they're like no no no people
- 50:03will [ __ ] die if we allow that you need both hands to operate a
- 50:08car and you need to be paying attention I watched some people be talking and
- 50:12putting on their makeup at the same time yes and then what are you driving with
- 50:15what no hands and you don't forget eating cereal as
- 50:19well like Dennis and masturbating um I watched Seinfeld watched the finale
- 50:25yesterday oh yes I didn't start at the beginning I started where I felt I
- 50:30hadn't really seen no of of it's not like I watched 10 seasons yeah started
- 50:34halfway through the final episode I've seen the start of this yeah yeah that's
- 50:39right um it is strange it's a strange it's strange episode uh no nobody liked
- 50:45it it had complaints but uh but it's kind of the only way it could have ended
- 50:51really because the the characters had become so unlikable like in a funny way
- 50:55but they become so sociopathically selfish that calling them out on it was
- 51:01the only way this show could have could been watching it again I was just down
- 51:06before we came up to record I was watching it with her and we're just sort
- 51:08of watching an episode and there was a guy um new abominal pool and knocked out
- 51:13a guy and then Jerry and Newman are there like someone's going to give mouth
- 51:17to mouth and there they won't do it because it's gay you do it yeah yeah no
- 51:22you you and then exactly the story goes yeah like they start making fun of that
- 51:27too like they start like somebody's like oh J you must be so upset he's like not
- 51:31really you know like they just they acknowledge that no one has any feelings
- 51:36andf every week yeah that's right the end of end of a whole season is that
- 51:41episode and then the start of the next one he just he doesn't give a [ __ ]
- 51:44anymore and then but there's one where Jerry goes oh got your girlfriend and
- 51:48they're like how long you been dating her he's like since the last one you
- 51:52want to meet her and they're like no thanks no
- 51:58but uh there's this one episode in fact it's last it is the finale where Elaine
- 52:02has to call someone to check on their health and she goes to use her mobile
- 52:07and Jerry's like that's a social F part you can't use a mobile phone for an
- 52:11important call I was like oh that's so funny that like in the late 90s there
- 52:15were like mobile phones were so bad you know so notoriously back in the '90s
- 52:21talking to mobile wasn't a fun time yeah like they weren't great
- 52:27connections back then yeah yeah my Nokia 5110 was
- 52:32great my 3210 was great I loved that phone I dropped that phone from the from
- 52:39a ladder I was rigging lights in a theater down onto a concrete floor and
- 52:44it didn't even get a scratch on it like it it was they did not make it
- 52:50invulnerable like light clothes
- 52:54um I made me think you know bad people finale I wonder how It's Always Sunny in
- 53:01Philadelphia will end when it eventually does because it's articles they all
- 53:05couple years it's going to happen they know how it's going to end I've read an
- 53:10article E Street do you remember this the show men that the other week yeah
- 53:15everyone just dies I up yeah you know that Danny Devo has
- 53:20come out and said he's looking forward to to filming is it 15 16 that they're
- 53:25yeah 15 film now 15 might be 16 because he's come out and
- 53:29said that he feels that the first 15 series were a little tame
- 53:35yes and he really thinks they can start oh they're going to resurrect that April
- 53:40Fool's Day script they sent him where
- 53:42Frank Frank they they sent uh listeners
- 53:47they were asked in ama if they ever asked any too to do something in the
- 53:51show and he said no that he wouldn't do it yeah yeah and then they said they
- 53:54sent him a script as a joke like April Fool's joke and in the script Frank is
- 53:59um Danny deo's character I think rap raped by gets raped by a gang or
- 54:04something and then he goes to the cops and they rape him and put him in jail
- 54:08and then in jail he gets raped by the inmates and then he goes to the guards
- 54:12and they rap him and it just goes on and on and then and then he must have had so
- 54:17much fun riding that fake SC and they said he called him and he goes guys I
- 54:21don't know about this one oh guys it's funny if he didn't say
- 54:27anything yeah they're actually filming season 17
- 54:3217 wow 16 was the last one that came out last year M I think I watched 16 in a
- 54:38day like I watch SE last season was the one with Dennis takes a mental health
- 54:42day that was a good episode where he goes to buy the bubble bubble TV doesn't
- 54:46want the the the what do you call the pearls yeah I can see the pearls over
- 54:50there just don't put them in the drink a the computer doesn't let me do that of
- 54:53course it doesn't doesn't he have a Tesla or something something in that
- 54:56episode 2 yes but he loses the oh his phone goes flat because that's a true
- 55:02story that happened to him he said it on the podcast his phone went dead and he
- 55:06couldn't unlock his Tesla and he was like what the [ __ ] do I do now this is
- 55:10[ __ ] useless yeah yeah interesting but yeah so we get we
- 55:15get season 17 I think this year that will be coming out first episode Charlie
- 55:21keeps getting caught using the end mom yeah like yes it's called The Gang gets racist
- 55:27that's the name of the first very first one when everyone was kind of a totally
- 55:34different character and they don't pick up on the fact that he's gay because
- 55:38he's black like that's the whole joke in that first episode is it's they they
- 55:42turn it into a gay bar but they're all too busy worrying about trying not to be
- 55:46racist yeah yeah great show there's an
- 55:50episode of Seinfeld where Elaine starts dating someone that they suspect might be black
- 55:57and they they keep trying to figure it out but anytime anyone starts talking to
- 56:01him George is like we shouldn't be talking about this is an episode season 4 of sunny or
- 56:07whatever where the D dates the the comedian and they're like yeah oh the
- 56:11yeah yeah oh no the guy from class or something I think it's think the episode
- 56:15is called D dat a [ __ ] person or something yeah and then there's that
- 56:21whole Sur that episod is it Carla or whatever her name is where yeah the he
- 56:26starts dating the the transexual yeah
- 56:30yep that's in the pilot the unaired pilot if you watch that which is 10%
- 56:37very funny and 90% just 3 20 year olds
- 56:41filming their own show um but that bit where he wants to date this beautiful
- 56:46woman but he's conflicted because she's got a dick yeah I know that they got
- 56:51they've removed the um the Lethal Weapon episodes for the black face and that
- 56:56everything blackace is the one thing yeah some of those like cuz I think in
- 57:00one of them there's a bit where cuz Mac ends up dating kmen kmen is the yeah
- 57:04that's it and um and she's like oh you ashamed of me cuz I'm trans he goes no
- 57:09I'm just not ashamed of you I'm just disgusted in
- 57:14myself but that's the thing that's how they not get away with it but it's cuz
- 57:19they're the joke like it's always them they're the terrible people they're the
- 57:23they're not punching down they're punching themselves in the face yeah
- 57:27that's right like yeah yeah yeah season
- 57:313 episode 9 sweet D dating a [ __ ] person there you go and yeah he's a
- 57:36comedian but he's apparently he's not like oh he's a rapper sorry not a
- 57:41comedian well I can't remember he your yeah right you just reminded me just by
- 57:47using the word [ __ ] which doesn't get said Much Anymore um when I used
- 57:52Craig Mason's podcast when Craig Mason had a podcast before he was famous to
- 57:57have a podcast yeah um it was called Script notes and he had he written he
- 58:02had written uh the that still exists I just don't know
- 58:06if he's H it as much oh right yeah maybe and they probably don't do it as often
- 58:10now but he'd written the hang over so he was you know he had Hollywood clout but
- 58:14he hadn't gotten his [ __ ] Emmys for Chernobyl and last of us yet but uh and
- 58:20done his guest stints on uh Mythic Quest
- 58:24yeah but he was talking about they they
- 58:28had a guest they had a um subtitler on as a guest once and he was like how do
- 58:34you explain like visual gags and stuff and he was kind of telling them how how
- 58:39they they phrase things and he's like what about he's like he's like in The
- 58:44Hangover one guy always pronounces [ __ ] as [ __ ] I think he might be a
- 58:50[ __ ] and like that's kind of the joke is that he doesn't even know how to say
- 58:53[ __ ] cuz he's so stupid um like he's like did you like hyphenate it he's like
- 58:58no I just wrote [ __ ] so it just wasn't if you if you
- 59:03were de watching just wasn't a joke
- 59:07yeah have we heard about the next season of Mythic
- 59:11Quest oh no no that's I halfway through season 3 I didn't
- 59:17season 3 was not good painfully unfunny no because they [ __ ] up and like yeah
- 59:24iron and Poppy left eles out yeah yeah I I don't know why they did that like I
- 59:29know why they did that is because somewhere along the line he got into his
- 59:33head that other characters were more interesting than them and he was wrong
- 59:38yeah yeah because they focused on the the testers too much and that I mean
- 59:42they're great characters but they're not like they're great supporting characters
- 59:46they're not good you need poy and iron to be the show yeah it was like by
- 59:52season 3 of um uh 30 Rock where they worked out that
- 59:56they could pretty much just have Liz and Jack and that's the show
- 1:00:01like as long as they've got a problem that they have to solve together yeah
- 1:00:06it's yeah it's like I don't know why they like the whole cast works well
- 1:00:09together and you've just taken two of the main characters and separated them
- 1:00:13from everybody else for like so I'm hoping that now reason and then they had
- 1:00:16to put them in the same building so that they could still interact cuz they real
- 1:00:19they must have realized characters never coming back oh yeah good point so so
- 1:00:24hopefully in season 4 they sort of worked out that we did that wrong let's
- 1:00:27just cuz they did at the end they did bring everything back together didn't
- 1:00:31they that we're coming back yes I think
- 1:00:34I think when I met were do chickens also
- 1:00:39awardwinning that episode where the reading the it was [ __ ] hilarious
- 1:00:45even though his presence was felt even though he was obviously not in it cuz he
- 1:00:49was you know touching people yeah or talking about touching people whatever
- 1:00:55whatever he was doing he actually touched anyone he offended people do you
- 1:00:58know I just thought I like did he actually die or did they just kill his
- 1:01:01character I wondered that too no Abraham still alive yeah I think he's alive I I
- 1:01:06will find out for you cuz I I I do
- 1:01:09research live a my Mythic Quest on he's alive I yeah I didn't think he died yeah
- 1:01:16but the first article if you just Google F Mari Abraham the first article that
- 1:01:21comes up is f m Abraham kicked off Mythic quiz for sexual
- 1:01:24misconduct but I think to be clear I think it was bad jokes I that made
- 1:01:29everyone uncomfortable I don't think he actually I when I said it's a shame I
- 1:01:33didn't mean it's a shame they fir him for I mean it's a shame that he was
- 1:01:35doing that to be and and it wasn't like he did one joke and now you got to go it
- 1:01:39was set you down understand I'm sure we said this at
- 1:01:44the time but if you're on a [ __ ] show with Rob melin and you're making jokes
- 1:01:49that are making people uncomfortable there's something wrong right that
- 1:01:52should be an environment where you can safely make a little bit bit of a so I
- 1:01:57don't know what the [ __ ] he was talking about but also like if I was at work or
- 1:02:01maybe he was just bad at it yeah maybe he was trying to trying to
- 1:02:07be Ed imagine imagine you at work we're all comedians imagine you were at work
- 1:02:12and somebody came and said I'm a comedian the jokes you're making are
- 1:02:15literally offending people and we're going to write a little little note for
- 1:02:21the file and and we're using the phrase sexual misconduct just so that you know
- 1:02:26maybe don't do it anymore you would go home and be like honey I don't think I
- 1:02:30can show my [ __ ] face there anymore I would be I've been offending people yeah
- 1:02:36and yet that that would be the last time I tried to make a joke i'
- 1:02:41be be so straight from them I don't think I could stop making jokes but I
- 1:02:45would be very careful I would be very wholesome after that but he he went n
- 1:02:51going to keep doing it unfortunately he is from from that generation of actors
- 1:02:57and there's a whole bunch of them now and we loved and admired them for
- 1:03:02decades and decades who just used to be able to do that it just used to be okay
- 1:03:07that was Hollywood to just be and I must say it wasn't just Hollywood because I
- 1:03:12remember when I first got my my first job out of high school and like we used
- 1:03:16to talk to each other in high school like pretty filthy right like anything
- 1:03:20goes kind of conversations but I knew that was just kind of locker room talk
- 1:03:26friends when I had my first J at theen Multiplex ripping [ __ ] tickets as an
- 1:03:31usher the the way the men would speak to the women there grown adult men with a
- 1:03:38job speaking to women at work even I was shocked I was like I thought that was
- 1:03:44the kind of stuff you could only say to your best friends and when no one was
- 1:03:48around because we and I it's not an excuse we used to make jokes about stuff
- 1:03:53like ironically right because and it's not an excuse for anything like that but
- 1:03:58like honestly it just to see people doing it like really doing it was just like
- 1:04:05wait that's a joke right like no one actually thinks that which is why I think it's a hard
- 1:04:12thing to go oh it's just a joke yeah no no no I understand that now in a way
- 1:04:15that I never did as as when I was younger I do understand that nower I
- 1:04:19mean five years ago and back yeah yeah people go oh just a joke and they don't
- 1:04:23see what the thing is but no people don't take that as joke people actually
- 1:04:27believe this [ __ ] qu said that to me the first time she listened to this podcast
- 1:04:30she's like you know your podcast is horribly offensive and I'm like no it's
- 1:04:33all done with irony and she's like yeah the three of you know that but people
- 1:04:37listening don't necessarily know that we
- 1:04:40got uh I sent you Dan we got a little bit of a warning about last week's
- 1:04:46episode not a bad warning or anything just uh just a warning that said FL
- 1:04:51advertisers might not like your discussion of the
- 1:04:57tits oh let's leave it at that yeah Luke probably understands there was some tits
- 1:05:02that are gone that we talked about yes yeah yes I didn't follow up on that we
- 1:05:08got a warning that said advertisers probably won't like you talking about
- 1:05:11that and I was like that's fine we don't have any we never will CU we talk about
