- 0:44new setup, and loving these new lights and feeling really good.

- 0:59I love to have new friends and I read and respond to every single
- 1:02comment that's left on my videos.
- 1:04Okay guys getting right into it but some schools and let's talk
- 1:09about those things. So Whereas, an Autism school not
- 1:12in school is a school and body set up and designed from an SE n
- 1:16education standpoint to help accommodate children on the
- 1:19Spectrum, to get them to a level where they are wanting to, then
- 1:23put them into mainstream school, that's the idea of autism
- 1:25schools. Now, a lot of children in Autumn
- 1:28schools who are on the Spectrum, also, probably have some other
- 1:32profound disability or they have other learning disabilities,
- 1:35which could probably stop them from or enable them from going
- 1:38to mainstream schooling. Now, in terms of the objectives
- 1:42of having autism schools and awesome, schooling is that they
- 1:45want to be able to bring kids up to a level where they can just
- 1:48go to a mainstream school, just like any other kid in and be in
- 1:52that environment and having successfully transitioned.
- 1:55Now, the argument is quite clear between this, if you have other
- 1:59learning difficulties or your profoundly disabled, of course,
- 2:01it's specialist school is definitely needed, but does that
- 2:04mean that those people can't go to a mainstream school if they
- 2:07didn't have adequate support? Well, if they did have Support
- 2:10in those schools that you could go to a mainstream school with
- 2:13having a profound disability and autism or learning disability,
- 2:16but have the best support. So, you know, the argument is
- 2:21basically this autism schools for General autism, kind of like
- 2:26a good thing or a bad thing because are they stopping kids
- 2:29going to mainstream schools and learning stuff in a mainstream
- 2:33way and then or and having to readapt to it later on in life
- 2:36than just, you know, going there with a one-on-one and spending
- 2:38that money with the specialist to go.
- 2:40With them to that school and it's a great argument because I
- 2:43went to a mainstream school and have no support and I actually
- 2:48benefited in certain ways. Obviously there was a lot of
- 2:50ways I didn't benefit from. Actually.
- 2:52I would have benefited more going to a specialist or having
- 2:54a specialist with me but things like you know, having friends
- 2:59and learning friend stuff from friends and kind of like I feel
- 3:03like I know a lot more about, you know, people because I went
- 3:07to a mainstream school and a group of friends who are I could
- 3:10learn a little bit from those and it was difficult and it was
- 3:13I didn't like going to school and it was hard and I failed
- 3:17miserably at school, but there's certain things were, I kind of
- 3:19benefit from. So I think that's kind of, like,
- 3:22a good thing anyway, you know, in terms of like a sea and
- 3:25schools, and, and, and autism schools, and shhh, I think it
- 3:30should be abolished. No, no, no.
- 3:31We do need essien schools. We do need autism schools.
- 3:34But we also need as well is the mindset that we should try to
- 3:38integrate those schools. Into mainstream schooling
- 3:41because having a in autism classroom within the within the
- 3:47mainstream school system, to me, would be a perfect balance
- 3:48because you have that interaction with all the other
- 3:50neurotypical kids. And then you also have the
- 3:53access and support and room and capability and tools and
- 3:57everything. For the people who are on the
- 3:59Spectrum, it's kind of like one of those.
- 4:02You know, it's a difficult argument because I'm, I guess
- 4:05they're going to they're the reason they're putting people on
- 4:08the autism spectrum into that environment.
- 4:10Because they are capable of taking care of autistic people,
- 4:14profoundly disabled people, some other kind of learning
- 4:16disabilities and all that kind of stuff all in one place and
- 4:18it's easier to maintain, but I feel like sometimes like they
- 4:21miss out on the mainstream School aspect of the the social
- 4:24stuff other could probably benefit from an away.
- 4:27So how do you deal with that? I don't really know and I'm
- 4:29opening this up to discussion. My partner used to work for an
- 4:33sem School specifically with the autistic people there and she
- 4:37said that it was great. It was a great school and I've
- 4:39been there and Their multi-million pound school and
- 4:41it's fantastic. But in terms of, you know, could
- 4:45that rep, you know, could replace that fact and he's got a
- 4:49mainstream School. Absolutely.
- 4:50Not the everybody in there. Is that their their aim is to
- 4:54get them to a mainstream school. So it's kind of like the spend
- 4:57all of that time putting them into a mainstream school, which
- 5:01is interesting and also it's a good thing to do because you
- 5:05know, everybody wants to just be able to go to mainstream school
- 5:07and you know just do as ever. Else does and have that great
- 5:11experience of going to school in that way.
- 5:13I mean I went to mention school like I said, and I really
- 5:15enjoyed it, but I also feel like I learned from that experience
- 5:19and and I feel it's learning those things of having fans and
- 5:22different people around you. And knowing when people are
- 5:24going to be Bullies Are knowing when people are going to be
- 5:27negative. And I'm learning that because
- 5:29you're in that Circle people who already feel those things, and
- 5:31it can teach you those, you know, I think stuff like that.
- 5:33You can't teach in a NECN school but I could be wrong.
- 5:37I'm just as my thought process, I'm not telling you guys that
- 5:39actually. Feels about anything, not at
- 5:41all. I'm just saying.
- 5:41I'm just a, just an open discussion.
- 5:43I'd love for you to join in in the comment section below and
- 5:45let me know what you think. So, here's a simple question.
- 5:48Do I think? Autism schools are a good thing?
- 5:51Yes, I do. Do I think that mainstream
- 5:53schools are a good thing? Yes, I do.
- 5:55But I feel like we need to kind of find some little girl,
- 5:57reminder to together. Like I said, like putting an
- 5:59awesome School inside and mainstream school would be,
- 6:03would be really interesting, and I think a lot of the issues
- 6:07surrounding Autumn schools is that they don't get enough
- 6:09funding because They are desperately in need of funding,
- 6:12but all the fan goes to mention school because there's just a
- 6:14lot more students in mainstream school.
- 6:16So maybe if we married the two schools together, we'd be able
- 6:18to sort something out, where you'd have, you know, I don't
- 6:25know if you're nice and kind of funding pot.
- 6:27I know this is just me, kind of like going off on a tangent
- 6:29here, but the idea of mentions goals as a great idea and the
- 6:33idea of autism schools, it's a fantastic idea.
- 6:36So that we do need to define the difference, you know.
- 6:38So if your child is having Maltese, there's no way you can
- 6:41just put them directly into a mainstream school because
- 6:43they're just not going to survive in that environment.
- 6:45Because it's not going to be, you know, the suit to them.
- 6:47And I'm going to have to deal with those situations.
- 6:49So that autism school, you know, you're appointed a one-on-one
- 6:53and those people at just appointed, you are going to be
- 6:55the people who are going to be the ones to know how to deal
- 6:59with certain aspects are trained in everything.
- 7:01We're mainstream Schools teachers, I think it's one of
- 7:04the less than, like 40% of all mainstream School teachers that
- 7:08have not, as Inning. So it's kind of like there's
- 7:13it's just yeah there's just nothing, you know, there's
- 7:16nothing available. If you're in a mainstream school
- 7:17and you've got an awesome Spectrum Disorder, you need
- 7:19Specialists help and I think that's why often schools are so
- 7:23useful in that respect because they have the specialist there.
- 7:26And I think that personally I think that all mainstream
- 7:28schools need that, you know, Education and Training as well.
- 7:31Because you gotta think about this as well, if you slip
- 7:34through the net and you don't get diagnosed till later on and
- 7:37you go to a mainstream School. You know, you need someone there
- 7:42to be able to be like, okay, I know how to deal with this kid,
- 7:45like I wasn't diagnosed with autism, until I was an adult,
- 7:48but I had like dyslexia and I got a phobia and attachment
- 7:51issues until when I was in primary school night.
- 7:52We had an issue going to primary school, but if the teachers
- 7:55there were kind of like clued up and they have some idea of
- 7:58autism, they would be like oh I get it and so they might be able
- 8:00to work with me but I think I guess that's why autism schools
- 8:04exist in up the beauty of them. And that's why they have that
- 8:07ability to take care of anybody who needs it in that.
- 8:10In situation or environment of schooling or whatever it is
- 8:13academic in just in general, I think it's going to help a lot
- 8:17of people. So my advice would be this as
- 8:19well because a lot of people want to send the kid to an
- 8:21awesome school initially and I think it's a great thing.
- 8:23So I think that everybody who is on the Spectrum and thinks that
- 8:27they should go to an awesome school, do that because you are
- 8:30going to benefit greatly from greatly from it because they're
- 8:32trained in everything and I know how to do it.
- 8:34So what you don't want is a negative experience, you do want
- 8:37to be sending your kid off to a school that they They then, you
- 8:41know, don't like school because it's overwhelming, there's too
- 8:43much. It's too hard from the deal with
- 8:45and then they end up just hating school and they want to just get
- 8:47out of school and then, yeah, you know where then you know
- 8:51where you've got like, your kid doesn't like school.
- 8:53Then they're not going to want to go to an sdn school or an
- 8:55Autism school because like to go to an awesome school, they're
- 8:58going to be like, oh well schools all just rubbish, you
- 9:00know, people die. Think along and get it.
- 9:02It's gonna scare your kid off if you do, if you feel like that.
- 9:05So it definitely start off with a not in school.
- 9:07If that's like.you know you're chosen.
- 9:10Part of you thinking, like should we take a kid who is an
- 9:12Autism Spectrum condition? Should we take him to an awesome
- 9:15school? I'd say yes, definitely try it.
- 9:17And the good thing about it is, is the awesome schools are so
- 9:20good. They could get I've seen kids go
- 9:22in there and within a year to two years go to a mainstream
- 9:26school. So it's not like they are going
- 9:28to be there forever and never going to get out to go to a
- 9:31mainstream school if that's what you want for them.
- 9:33You know that the staff work really really well.
- 9:35And I think that essien teachers and staff in general just
- 9:38fantastic. So big salute to them.
- 9:40Because they're just so good. That means said, guys, I'd like
- 9:42to know your thoughts on it. Do you think SES schools are
- 9:44good thing? Bad thing.
- 9:45How do you think they work? Do you think awesome schools
- 9:47should be on the increase of the integrating with the school's?
- 9:49I don't know. It's a good topic.
- 9:51It's a good discussion. So please give me a comment in
- 9:53the comment section below. I read and respond to every
- 9:56single one. So make sure you do that.
