  Speaker 1: any notes for it. I am in a hotel room

  Speaker 1: in Fairfield, which is I guess it's kind of in
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: between the Bay Area and Sacramento. So there's a part
• 0:30
  Speaker 1: of me that wants to make it the Bay Area,
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: and then there's a part of me that wants to
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: make it Fairfield or I'm sorry, make it Sacramento. And
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: my mom passed last year and so we've had family
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: members reach out to us and say, hey, you want
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: to do certain family reunions, And sometimes my mom would
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: want to go when she was alive, and sometimes she wouldn't.
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: But for the most part, we wouldn't go. And I
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: have never been to a family reunion. I am a
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: card carrying black person who has never been to a
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: family reunion. And I had no intention of going to
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: this one. But my brother was persistent and he was like, yeah,
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: we should go. And he didn't like push like, he
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: was just like, all right, sister, we're going to go.
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: So he, you know, drove to my house and picked
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: me up and you know, here we are. And so,
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: you know, I woke up this morning and I knew
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: I needed to load some podcasts. I recorded thirty shows
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: in twenty four hours. It was an intuitive message. I
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: got thirty shows twenty four hours, so I recorded them,
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: and I knew with that. Of course, the sound quality
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: is not going to be great. Of course, you know,
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: I might you know, it's summer, a so there are
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: times where I have the windows open so that I
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: can record a show because then I can't run the
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: air conditioning, and so there might be a car in
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: the background of some of these shows. You know, thirty
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: scripts in twenty four hours, that's a lot. You know,
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: many of these I am you know, reading them as
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: I go. I create the script and just pit record, right,
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: So I accepted this challenge. I like this challenge. It
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: was fun challenge and so here I am. So my
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: brother I again, I had planned not to go to
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: this family reunion, and my brother was like, now you're
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: going to go with booked to your hotel room. You're
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: going to go. And I was like fine, right, like
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: why not? And I'm still in California, you know, and
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: I'm safe, and you know, with family, So there wasn't
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: really a big opposition within me other than you know,
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: I had to then process these shows and get them
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: uploaded to the platform. So I get up the morning
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: we're leaving yesterday, and I load up ten. If you
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: get notifications, she probably saw ten shows come through. My
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: intention was to do thirty. And I've said this many
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: times in the show. I'm not the best at estimating
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: how long it's going to take me to do something.
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: I'm always, always, always under and so I always think
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: it's going to take way less time than it does,
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: basically from novels to anything that I'm creating. And so
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: I said, okay, I'll load these ten. Well, we drove up,
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: I'll get up tomorrow morning and load the rest of
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: the show. So I get up, and you know, I'm
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: in this really comfortable hotel and I have a room
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: to myself, I have Wi Fi, I have coffee in
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: the lobby, like good coffee. It's beautiful. There's no reason
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: why I can't just sit here and load these shows.
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: So of course I listened to I start listening to
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: the show on the Mystery, and it's talking about how
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: in the Mystery is when we will self sabotage, and
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: so immediately as I'm listening to this show, I start
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: taking getting very critical. I was like, I don't feel
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: like I've explained the mystery to them enough. I'd already
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: said to you, I've researched it like crazy. Most people
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: are saying a lot of different things because it's a mystery,
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: right And I was like, you know, there's a car
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: in the background, and I can't edit that out with
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: my audio program, so I think I should just re
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: record it. You know, I could tighten up these recordings,
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: you know. So immediately I start making a list of
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: all the shows. I'm going to sit here this morning
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: re record, still upload all of these shows. I still
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: have twenty more shows to upload, plus get ready for
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: a family reunion where I probably need to wear makeup,
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: if nothing else, in honor of my mother because she
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: bore makeup. And I'm like, holy shit, I'm in the mystery.
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: I don't know how this thirty shows in twenty four
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: hours is supposed to go or unfold. I accepted that
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: there were going to be challenges along the way. I
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: accepted that timing might be a little weird, because you know,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: I'm not the best at engaging timing on certain things.
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: I did do all the shows in twenty four hours.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: I knew I could do that, but I definitely when
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: I got to be uploading part, I'm like, I need
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: to hire an assistant. And even in saying that to
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: you right now and I have been is a desire
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: of mine. It's a very strong desire. It's on the
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: vision board if you will that I'm going to hire
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: someone to do this part. The uploading the show notes,
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: the linking of things. And if I had done that right,
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: but my assistant would just upload the shows, I wouldn't
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: be trying to re record them right. And so I
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: was like, oh, I'm in the mystery right now, and
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: so I'm going to read yourself sabotage. And so instead
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: of recording another show, I wanted to say to you,
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: the mystery is real. And so if you've listened to
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: that show, I don't know where I'm going to upload
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: this one. I might put it after or before. But
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: if you've listened to that show and you're like, because
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: I had a lot of moments when I was listening
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: back to it, and mind you, this isn't the first
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: time I've listened back to it. I usually listened back
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: as soon as I'm done recording. I was like, oh,
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: I feel floggy, and like I said that to you.
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: That's how the mystery is. The mystery will make you.
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: And I said this in the show more sensitive to things.
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is things that wouldn't
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: annoy you suddenly really you or you're more critical than
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: you need to be. And it's the it's because we
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: don't know right now, we don't know all the details,
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: and we're not even sure we know if there is
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: a place within us that can lock in that it's
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: already done. We're not even there yet, right, And so
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: respect it and be kind to yourself in this and
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: check yourself. And I am recording this show specifically to say,
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: this is the time when we self sabotage. This is
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: the time when we get a message, we follow the message.
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: And then because just because right just because we're surrendering
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: control and going with spirit, then all of our senses
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: seem heightened. Right then, you know, everything feels more annoying,
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: and so it's almost like a it's like a spiritual PMS.

  Speaker 1: If you will and just be with it, right, Just
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: be with it rest when you need to rest, keep
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: your mouth closed, when you need to keep your mouth closed.
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: Let things be. This is not a time for perfectionism.
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: It's not a time for trying to be the best
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: of the best of the best. And it may not
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: even be a time of spiritual practice. What what, Yes,
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: it may not even be a time of spiritual practice.
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: It's not, but I mean it is because you know,
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: my normal practice is I haven't been drawn to them.
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: I brought I'm working in a couple of different manifestations
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: right now, and I have some very specific practices that
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: I'm using, and I brought them to do on the trip.
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: Didn't do anything. I have this little word search game
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: that I played, and then I talked to the kids
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: and my brother and his wife. And then when I
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: got to my room, the best I could do was
• 9:04
  Speaker 1: it has direct TV, and I guess there's a faith channel. Now.
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: I put that on. I listen to about three minutes
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: of the sermon and then I muted it and it's
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: on right now, just to mute. And that is as
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: close as I can get this spiritual practice right now.
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: And it's okay because we're in the mystery. If you're
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: in the mystery. It's oh okay. I feel that that's
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: a repetitive theme of these thirty shows that I just
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: did is we are just too critical of ourselves, all right.
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: So I'm going to end this now because if I
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: go any longer, it's going to be self sabotage because
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: I need to be uploading these shows because I got
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: to go to this damn family reunion in a couple
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: of hours, and I still have twenty shows to upload.

  Speaker 1: It can even maybe sound a bit boring, and go back.

  Speaker 1: Just promise me you will go back and you will

  Speaker 1: take notes on that show, because all the wisdom you

  Speaker 1: need is there. The mystery is very different than any

  Speaker 1: aspect of our spiritual journey. It's a mixing of all
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: of it. It's a coming together of the ingredients. My
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: spirit guides are showing me a cauldron. So you've just
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: put all the ingredients in the cauldron and it's heating
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: up and it's starting to bubble a bit, and things
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: still haven't come together, and it's not a cooked it's
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: not a cook thing yet, so you can't even call
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: it anything right because you're still tweaking and fixing at it.
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: But as you are being drawn from within you right,
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: you followed the recipe to the best of your ability,
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: and now it's the space between all the ingredients coming
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: together and creating this beautiful recipe if you will, this spell,
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: if you will, this meal, if you will, and the
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: ingredients just being separate before you started, and everything's in
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: the pot, and this is where you can fuck it
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: up and have to start all over, or this is
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: where you're just going to have to be with it
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: and trust and trust, and eventually you'll hit a moment
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: where you're willing to believe that this is going to
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: turn out to be something glorious, wonderful and amazing, not
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: just because you're hoping that. It's because you're starting to
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: sense that that's what it already is. Right, But this
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: is a delicate journey and you can't rush any part
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: of this. So trust the mystery. Trust the mystery, Embrace
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: the mystery. Embrace the mystery. I love you if you're going.

  Speaker 1: I was going to say, if you have to go
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: to a family reunion, I send you a love. No,
• 12:35
  Speaker 1: I'm looking at it as a blessing. It's a blessing.

  Speaker 1: It's a blessing. It's a blessing, right it is. I'm

  Speaker 1: looking forward to it, and everybody's so kind and we

  Speaker 1: just my family just didn't do them. So it's still
• 12:48
  Speaker 1: kind of weird to me, Like what family reunions I've

  Speaker 1: heard about people doing that, They really do it, Yeah,
