- 0:00Will silver and gold save you during times of financial
- 0:05crisis? We've got a growing level of
- 0:08evidence pointing towards the fact that we might just be in
- 0:12trouble As a silver and gold investor.
- 0:18You're going to be shocked at what you learned today.
- 0:21And what evidence do we have in the past?
- 0:24The financial crisis do occur and how did silver and gold
- 0:28perform during those periods? We need look no further than the
- 0:33great financial crisis in O8, the tech bubble in the year
- 0:372000, and the list goes on and on.
- 0:41Would we not be naive to think that it could never happen
- 0:44again? But Ted, I have a pressing
- 0:47question for you. This normalcy bias.
- 0:50Everybody thinks that it'll never happen again.
- 0:53Are we in a period where we'll never have another financial
- 0:57crisis? If you're holding real money,
- 0:59that's been God's money for thousands of years.
- 1:02I mean, as we talked about before, Judas was paid 30 pieces
- 1:05of silver to drop the dime on. Jesus, right?
- 1:07That silver's still around. It doesn't disintegrate.
- 1:10As a matter of fact, when silver goes to the bottom of the
- 1:12Atlantic Ocean or Pacific Ocean or where it happens to be, you
- 1:15may think it disintegrates like stock certificates or notes or
- 1:19cash or whatever else. No, no, no.
- 1:22There are companies that are that are situated on the Stock
- 1:25Exchange that actually have investors to go after certain
- 1:28sunken treasures. Now why would they go after
- 1:30sunken treasures with silver and gold?
- 1:32Jeez, I don't know. Can you?
- 1:35Maybe it's because it's real money.
- 1:37Well, we had a lot of fun things to get into today.
- 1:39One of the things that you shared with Ron is something
- 1:41I've never done before is to share my personal currency
- 1:44collection. Answer your question
- 1:46definitively. OK, so will we?
- 1:49Will, the question being, are we possibly, Just possibly going to
- 1:53have another period of financial turmoil during our lifetimes,
- 1:57maybe during the next year, right.
- 1:59That's what we're looking at here and and how silver and gold
- 2:02have fared during those times. So I am going to pull up Ted's
- 2:05currency picture. There it is, Ted, on the screen
- 2:08right now. So folks, if we could take a
- 2:10look at a couple of these things down in the center, OK?
- 2:13You see the 10 million Reichmark there.
- 2:16OK. Underneath of that, what I did
- 2:17was I put one note on top of the other that was blank on the
- 2:21back. The reason being is they ran out
- 2:24of ink. They were printing so much of
- 2:25this. So what I wanted to show you is
- 2:27all the different currency notes that are not all of them but
- 2:30that series of currency notes that have been used throughout
- 2:32the world. Now if we can go, Ron, real
- 2:35quick over to bank for International settlements
- 2:37because I'd like you to know who issues this and who actually got
- 2:41the silver for these notes that you are now holding that are
- 2:43worthless. OK.
- 2:45So if we go over to the International Bank for
- 2:47International Settlements, we talked about this before.
- 2:49bis.org, I'll show you, actually creates these, these currency
- 2:55notes is these are real. Somebody had these things, they
- 2:58folded them up, they carried them in their back pocket and
- 3:01they used it to buy bread or food or pay rent or pay their
- 3:04taxes or whatever else. So if that is in fact immutable
- 3:08wealth, what am I doing with it? Why would I invest in this?
- 3:12So what I'm trying to tell you is if we had laid down say a
- 3:15dime, a silver dime or any piece of silver on any one of those
- 3:19currency notes, there's those people now would have something
- 3:23actually worth money if they'd have been held in the money.
- 3:25So what are we going to do here is I'd like you to follow along.
- 3:28We're going to go to central bank hub on the on the front
- 3:30page and then go to central bank and Monetary Authority websites
- 3:34the second line down DD. All right, go to DD there is D
- 3:42oh that only has two central banks.
- 3:44Well, what I'm only wouldn't wouldn't it be nice to own the
- 3:47central bank in in in in Denmark?
- 3:49Or how about Dominican Republic? I hear it's warm down there
- 3:51right now. Is it folks?
- 3:53Anybody tuning in for the Dominican Republic or actually
- 3:56why don't you go on? Because what I'm understanding
- 3:59is 44% of the people watching this are outside the United
- 4:02States. So if you're outside the United
- 4:05States this website will work for you too. bis.org Find out
- 4:09who owns your currency, who owns your bank and it's the bank for
- 4:12international settlements. So if we Scroll down some more
- 4:16let's go past E what stopper. There it is.
- 4:19What we're looking at here are countries, countries, folks.
- 4:23These are countries in which the BIS provides the mandatory
- 4:27currency in each and every one of these countries.
- 4:29Right now, they're all Fiat. They're all ready to go away
- 4:33exactly at the same time. And when they do, what do you
- 4:35think happens to the bis.org, Ron?
- 4:39It probably goes away, collapses as well.
- 4:41I mean we're looking at this I think on a big picture level Ted
- 4:45this this and we always pull up extras pyramid.
- 4:48But this fact that the whole monetary system everything
- 4:53outside of silver and gold has basically become very synthetic
- 4:57at this point. Man made kind of like in the
- 5:00cars and like like fake leather and a in a car and and and as we
- 5:06as we face you know a potential for for just even parts of that
- 5:12system falling apart that that we could see a wave of new money
- 5:15coming into the silver and gold sector.
- 5:17Is that is that safe to say new money.
- 5:22How about new demand for money. OK.
- 5:24Which is going to be satisfied in currency notes the the
- 5:28respect for the dollar is dying. The usage of the dollar is
- 5:31dying. But one thing is for sure is
- 5:34that the pendulum always swings in both directions.
- 5:38OK, so we are all Fiat right now.
- 5:41All right? And what's going to happen is,
- 5:43bam, that that does that, that that string is going to snap and
- 5:46the pendulum is going to go right around and stick to the
- 5:49other side for quite a while. Because fool me once, shame on
- 5:51you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
- 5:53Now we are the only country on the face of the planet here in
- 5:57the United States whose generations have never seen a
- 6:00currency reset. So if you go back and take a
- 6:02look at those notes, you'll see that some of these countries
- 6:05have had numerous iterations of currency in their country.
- 6:09My question is, when the new currency notes come out, are you
- 6:13redeemed for the old currency notes?
- 6:15And why not at this point in time, forget about the script.
- 6:18Come on folks, let's get back the basics.
- 6:21Keep it simple and stupid. Get the money of your country,
- 6:24the money of your country. If you're in the United States
- 6:26of America are American Silver Eagles.
- 6:29OK? And 365 Dimes, quarters and a
- 6:32half dollars. So against the Dimes, silver is
- 6:35the best place to be right now folks.
- 6:38Ted, I want to throw something in as we're talking about this.
- 6:40This potential right seems to be overwhelming evidence.
- 6:45If if if we look at this from through two perspectives, #1
- 6:49historically, which you showed with that big collection of
- 6:53money, we can, it doesn't take much of A study of history to
- 6:56see that that over over history currencies have collapsed,
- 6:59right? Especially Fiat based currencies
- 7:02have collapsed. Now if we zoom in on right now,
- 7:06OK, well let me back up and and we know that when those historic
- 7:10currency crisis had erupted whether it was in England and
- 7:15and France and Spain and the Rome are that that silver and
- 7:19gold held their value. Silver and gold held their
- 7:22value. So if we Fast forward to today,
- 7:25so we know that, that history tells us now.
- 7:28We know also that today we all suffer from normalcy bias.
- 7:32Some people call it recency bias, like me, I'm 54 years old.
- 7:35My parents are 80. Even them, like, they just have
- 7:39never the bank has always been a safe place to put the money.
- 7:43So Ron has just put up something called snowball derivatives.
- 7:46OK, that's where we are right now.
- 7:49And the difference between a snowball derivative and a debt
- 7:53avalanche? A debt avalanche is when you
- 7:55have a whole bunch of credit cards and you're making a
- 7:56minimum payment and you try to take any extra money at the end
- 7:59of each month to pay down the principal.
- 8:02However, when things get real bad, what happens is the
- 8:05investors out there, they put these, these, these bad credit
- 8:09card debts and everything into what's called a derivative, OK?
- 8:13And those derivatives trade within a certain range of each
- 8:16other. But once they trade outside that
- 8:18range, that's when the green arrows go to red and you wind up
- 8:23with jeez, what is a very, very large snowball called.
- 8:26I mean it's not an avalanche because that would be the side
- 8:29of a mountain coming down. But this is, this is a a new
- 8:32economic phenomenon that you will be hearing shortly about.
- 8:36What the heck it is and what actually what the heck it was
- 8:39and what it did. I'm telling you what it is
- 8:42before it does and what it's going to affect before it does,
- 8:45OK, It's going to affect the stock market.
- 8:48OK. So let's go back to that other
- 8:50slide there, Ron, and let me explain the difference between
- 8:52snowball derivatives and a debt avalanche.
- 8:54So the debt avalanche versus the debt snowball, a debt avalanche.
- 8:59What that does is it prioritize and prioritizes the interest
- 9:02rate. So obviously, let's suppose you
- 9:03have 20 some credit cards out there, you'd want to start with
- 9:06the highest interest rate first, OK?
- 9:08And then pay more towards the higher interest rate each and
- 9:11every month in order to pay it down a little bit faster.
- 9:14That's a slow way, OK. The other way is where the
- 9:18derivatives gently get wiped out, OK.
- 9:21And as we had talked about before, derivatives and
- 9:25derivative holders have a superior lien on your account
- 9:28and this is what's called in the Dodd Frank Act, OK, as a bail
- 9:33in. So a bail in OK as opposed to a
- 9:36bail out. The bail out is when the
- 9:37government comes down and bails out the banks.
- 9:40That's not going to happen next time.
- 9:41Next time is what's called a bail in.
- 9:43Thank you to our sponsors. I want to start with pin backs
- 9:46where my finger is there. Pi, MB, EX.
- 9:50They sponsor Ron's basement online bullion dealer.
- 9:55If you're shopping to buy silver, gold, or platinum
- 9:57online, do yourself a favor throw them into the mix.
- 10:00Never going to tell you what to do, but compare what you can get
- 10:04from pembacs to what you can get from other online bullion
- 10:08dealers. I think you'll find what I found
- 10:10when several of you basement dwellers recommended I check out
- 10:14pembacs. And that is, you're going to get
- 10:16the same metal at a better price.
- 10:19You're going to have a great selection and a great customer
- 10:21service experience. I also want to say thank you to
- 10:24Fortuna Silver Mines. I'll be interviewing Jorge
- 10:28Canoza, the CEO of Fortuna Silver.
- 10:31They just came out with their fourth quarter 2023 numbers.
- 10:36Unbelievable amount of cash flow generated, a company that's been
- 10:40being built over the last 20 years.
- 10:42You can learn more about them at fortunasilver.com.
- 10:45And of course our friends at First Mining Gold.
- 10:49We we have Dan Wilton, the CEO, Keith Neumeyer, the founder and
- 10:54chairman of the company 25 Million Ounce Deposits in
- 10:59Canada. You can learn more about them at
- 11:01firstmininggold.com. Thank you to all our sponsors
- 11:04for making Ron's basement possible.
- 11:06Well, why are Bailins happening? Well, Bailins are happening
- 11:09because Bill Clinton repealed the Glass Steagall Act.
- 11:14Let's take a look at the Glass Steagall Act here.
- 11:16The Glass Steagall Act was placed in effect to stop
- 11:20commercial banks from investing in the stock market.
- 11:23So they take deposits that are supposed to be insured and they
- 11:27speculate in the stock market. Well, that was the cause of the
- 11:31Great Depression because the people that had shorts and
- 11:34margins and all that kind of stuff going on in their
- 11:36accounts, they got out first and they, they, they took all the
- 11:39cash. And that's why there was a Great
- 11:42Depression. It was a a withdrawal and
- 11:44liquidity. OK, so what's happened right now
- 11:47is we've had the Glass Steagall Act repealed by Bill Clinton.
- 11:51It should have never been repealed.
- 11:53The place where you invest your safe money should not be the
- 11:55place where you're investing in the stock market.
- 11:58OK, so that's what's called the Glass Steagall Act and that was
- 12:01designed to be put into place and was put in place in order to
- 12:04stop the Great Depression remember happening again.
- 12:07But when Bill Clinton repealed it, there we go.
- 12:10Maybe there's a reason why Thomas Jefferson said that the
- 12:14biggest threat to our country is not an invading army, but big
- 12:19banks, big central banks. You know, maybe Andrew Jackson
- 12:22was on to something with what he said about central banks and
- 12:26banking in general, that these banks kind of can take over
- 12:31everything and create massive issues.
- 12:34And then they always say, oh, it'll never happen again, right?
- 12:37Like we talked about earlier, it'll never happen again.
- 12:39And the one thing we knew, the one, yeah, we promised we're
- 12:43better this time, just we may need you to bail us out in the
- 12:45future. But the one thing we know if we
- 12:48look throughout history again, I want to reiterate this point.
- 12:51Silver and gold have always acted as a very effective safe
- 12:56harbor. Whether it's against banking
- 12:58issues in the United States, Europe, anywhere in the world.
- 13:02Fiat money, printing, Unicorn fart dust, whatever you want to
- 13:06call it. Financial shenanigans, synthetic
- 13:09derivatives, whatever it is, silver and gold have seen the
- 13:12story before. And they've always, always,
- 13:15always endured.
