- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Chevan your host Shooter.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It's Thursday, which means our dear friend Mark Lupa joins us, Hey,
- 0:20Speaker 1: LUPI are you there?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Loopy louis here?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Loopy Lou? I love?
- 0:24Speaker 1: That expression makes me laugh. I don't know why I
- 0:26Speaker 1: hadn't thought of it earlier. We've been doing this now
- 0:28Speaker 1: for a couple of years, so it's not like we
- 0:30Speaker 1: just came up with it today. But I've known you
- 0:32Speaker 1: for like a decade, and Loopy Lou, that's.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Who you are.
- 0:36Speaker 2: My friends now call me Lupy.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Lou deal and our friend in Australia is calling you
- 0:41Speaker 1: Loopy Lou after listening to the show. I'm going back
- 0:44Speaker 1: to London today. I'm flying home, I know, so all
- 0:47Speaker 1: my British friends will ask me about Loopy Lou. Thank
- 0:52Speaker 1: you very much.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I love London. You've been to London yet?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's beautiful.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's a great siterat and I reconnect for all my friends.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Like the hardest thing about coming to America for me
- 1:02Speaker 1: was not necessarily family, because you stay in touch with him.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I talk to my mom all the time. It's my friends,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and with friends, they're not blood. So with friends, when
- 1:10Speaker 1: you're out of sight, you're a little out of vibe
- 1:11Speaker 1: because the years go by, you know, we're still great friends.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I adore them, but I'm not in the thick of it,
- 1:17Speaker 1: and so I'm really looking forward to spending three four
- 1:20Speaker 1: days catching up. And they're not showbusy friends. These are
- 1:23Speaker 1: like university friends summer.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And now doctors.
- 1:26Speaker 1: One's a lawyer, one's a politician. So I'm going to
- 1:31Speaker 1: get myself in that Houses of Parliament. I know he
- 1:33Speaker 1: has a pass.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's like I.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Guess if you work in a nightclub or a theater,
- 1:37Speaker 1: you can get your friends in. So he works in
- 1:40Speaker 1: the Houses of Parliament. I'm not going to tell you
- 1:41Speaker 1: his names is quite famous and he'd be mortified than
- 1:44Speaker 1: we're about him on The Naughty but Nice Show. But
- 1:46Speaker 1: he has like a pass. So they have a private
- 1:49Speaker 1: dining room in the Houses club Parliament. I'm going to
- 1:53Speaker 1: go so fun. It's meant to be the best gay
- 1:55Speaker 1: club in London. They're all queen's in there screaming around.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I know I can't work.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Okay, let's jump into Ashew before I get us into
- 2:02Speaker 1: any more trouble and get disinvited or sent to the tower. Okay,
- 2:07Speaker 1: what time is it, my friends, and it's two times
- 2:09Speaker 1: big story at the top of the show. Kate Middleton's
- 2:11Speaker 1: engagements have been scrutinized by the British tabloids with a
- 2:14Speaker 1: very critical eye. So now that William and Kate have
- 2:17Speaker 1: been elevated to the role of the Prince and the
- 2:19Speaker 1: Princess of Wales, their engagements are going through an extra
- 2:23Speaker 1: layer of security. I think I have another reason too.
- 2:26Speaker 1: The couple has been accused of not working hard enough
- 2:30Speaker 1: in the past, and now the British papers are coming
- 2:33Speaker 1: after Kate saying that she's quite sticking very.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Close to home. So they did a little research.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And they found out that almost a third of Kate's
- 2:40Speaker 1: official engagements have been within twelve miles of the house.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's like me and Bottrinos. I don't do anywhere that
- 2:48Speaker 1: I can't literally stagger her. So I live ten minutes,
- 2:52Speaker 1: four minutes, two minutes away from Botinos. So Kate only
- 2:55Speaker 1: wants the dim events that could get her home. Now,
- 2:58Speaker 1: fans of hers are saying, she's mom, shares all these children.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It totally makes sense. Critics of hers are saying that's
- 3:05Speaker 1: not the job. A lot of people out there have
- 3:07Speaker 1: children and they have to go to work and they
- 3:09Speaker 1: have to figure it out, and she has a lot
- 3:11Speaker 1: more help than the rest of us, let's be clear there.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So they're really saying she's been a little bit lazy
- 3:18Speaker 1: here and now that she is the Princess of Wales,
- 3:21Speaker 1: there's lots of events, lots of functions, lots of work
- 3:24Speaker 1: she should be doing, but she's not doing it. It's
- 3:26Speaker 1: a really difficult job because it doesn't come with a manual.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So you can be a really hard work in royal
- 3:33Speaker 1: or you can be a less hard work in royal.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I think if I was a Royal Mark, I'd be
- 3:39Speaker 1: in it to win it. But both of us have
- 3:40Speaker 1: a very good work ethic, like you, If you were
- 3:42Speaker 1: a Royal, you would turn up, you'd be on time,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you'd kiss the babies, you'd christen the ships from the hospitals.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I think I'd think of it like a job. It's
- 3:50Speaker 1: not a part time hobby. But there's no boss. I
- 3:53Speaker 1: guess King Charles is the boss. But is he going
- 3:56Speaker 1: to sit you down and be like, oh, you're slacking
- 3:58Speaker 1: off this month?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Kate implicated.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It is complicated and they have. There's also struggling with
- 4:03Speaker 2: the Harry and Meghan narrative, and there's just a lot
- 4:06Speaker 2: of attention now on Kate. I will say there's a
- 4:09Speaker 2: hint of misogyny here. You know, they're putting this pressure
- 4:11Speaker 2: on her to kind of pick up the slack sort
- 4:13Speaker 2: of speak. But you know, she has young kids and
- 4:16Speaker 2: this is the time where you want to invest in
- 4:18Speaker 2: your kids as they're you know, they're growing up. You
- 4:20Speaker 2: can work the rest of your life. And me and
- 4:22Speaker 2: you Rob, we are workhorses, but we don't have kids.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We don't have that like beltings attend to you. So
- 4:27Speaker 2: I kind of feel bad for her in this, in
- 4:28Speaker 2: this situation, I do.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I do too. I think what's going on here? To
- 4:32Speaker 1: hear me through, see if this makes sense, Mark, I
- 4:34Speaker 1: think that now we've beat up on Meghan and Harry
- 4:38Speaker 1: so much. Now the media is moving on to the
- 4:41Speaker 1: next victation and the press does this, yes, like you
- 4:45Speaker 1: know once out of sight when she stopped selling papers,
- 4:48Speaker 1: uh huh. And so Meghan's sales are not quite as
- 4:51Speaker 1: good as they used to be. They've been beat up
- 4:53Speaker 1: now so much in Britain that people just stop buying
- 4:57Speaker 1: papers when they see Meghan on the cover, so now
- 4:59Speaker 1: they turning on the next person. I saw this when
- 5:03Speaker 1: I was working with Jessica Simpson. Jessica Simpson was on
- 5:06Speaker 1: the cover of every one of those weekly magazines, every
- 5:08Speaker 1: single week, and I remember saying to Jessica, it's almost
- 5:11Speaker 1: impossible to stop because you sell. The way we stop
- 5:14Speaker 1: is when people stop caring about you. But if US
- 5:17Speaker 1: Weekly sells a million copies this week with you on
- 5:19Speaker 1: the cover, You're gonna be on the cover of the
- 5:21Speaker 1: next week and the next week. Kate Goslin, of all
- 5:24Speaker 1: the celebrities in the world, Kate has more consecutive covers
- 5:29Speaker 1: of People magazine than anybody. She was on six covers
- 5:34Speaker 1: in a row, and that's because they kept selling. Remember
- 5:37Speaker 1: that summer we were obsessed with obsessed her haircut. That
- 5:43Speaker 1: was when People did her every week for six weeks.
- 5:47Speaker 1: In fact, a friend of mine who works at People,
- 5:49Speaker 1: she did one of the covers and she didn't think
- 5:51Speaker 1: it would be a cover. She got a photograph of
- 5:53Speaker 1: Kate Goslin with a new heado, and she told her
- 5:56Speaker 1: editors like, oh, this is fun. We should do a
- 5:58Speaker 1: page on a page, said it's the cover. It's so great,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and so Megan's no longer selling, so have now they
- 6:06Speaker 1: moved on to Kate And is actually the complete destruction
- 6:10Speaker 1: of Megan Markle which has happened in Britain at least,
- 6:13Speaker 1: is that now actually going to bite Kate in the bottom.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Mmm.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Well, it's a good point, Rob, because I'm burnt out
- 6:20Speaker 2: of the Meghan and Harry thing. If I see them
- 6:22Speaker 2: on any kind of news show magazine, I am turning
- 6:25Speaker 2: the channel and turning the page. I don't care. But
- 6:28Speaker 2: you know, it's true. The media is a cycle, and
- 6:31Speaker 2: there is a cycle, and Kate will be on the
- 6:33Speaker 2: cycle now for maybe a few more months, and then
- 6:35Speaker 2: they'll move on to something else or another topic. But yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 2: there can be a lot of attention now on what
- 6:39Speaker 2: she's doing. They're gonna pick apart every little thing she does.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Okay, col Meghan ask her to come back. I'm be
- 6:47Speaker 1: careful what you wish for, because now, okay, all the
- 6:51Speaker 1: eyes are on you. It's so interesting in life, isn't it.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Whenever I'm out and I see a lot of attention
- 6:58Speaker 1: on someone that's not I'm like, oh, thank god, I'm
- 7:01Speaker 1: going to get away with murder tonight. Because no one's
- 7:04Speaker 1: really watching me. But if that person goes home early,
- 7:07Speaker 1: then they're all going to look at me. It's fascinating
- 7:09Speaker 1: the media particularly, and that's where we work. Is something
- 7:12Speaker 1: that's so interesting. I'm working on a great story at
- 7:14Speaker 1: the moment that the real housewives have become jealous of
- 7:17Speaker 1: the vander Pump rule cast. These vander Pumps have become superstars.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That's all anybody's talking about. Your friend Emily from Access
- 7:27Speaker 1: Hollywood went to one of the screening parties and she said,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I literally feel like I'm with the Beatle, But I
- 7:33Speaker 1: did laugh how loud. And I spoke to Jen, the
- 7:35Speaker 1: publicist for Bravo in Geners like, one hundred percent all
- 7:38Speaker 1: the media requests, all anybody cares about at the minute
- 7:41Speaker 1: is the vander Pump cast. Nobody's calling about the housewives.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It's all about vander Pump. So maybe Kate is our vander.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Pump of the moment.
- 7:49Speaker 1: What do you think about this noughties, Let's go to
- 7:52Speaker 1: a poll of the day. Kate Middleton's engagements are being
- 7:55Speaker 1: scrutinized by the British tabloids with a very critical eye.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Have the press moved on from Meghan to Kate, that's terrifying. Okay, Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 1: go vote on our Twitter page out naughty nice ra
- 8:07Speaker 1: about Facebook pages naughty, guts it and be sure it's
- 8:09Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, what's going
- 8:13Speaker 1: on at Wheeler Fortune?
- 8:14Speaker 2: So I have a scoop rob on who might be
- 8:16Speaker 2: replacing Pat Sajack. So, having just dropped one hosting gig
- 8:21Speaker 2: from his workload, Ryan Seacrest could be picking up another.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Hmm wow.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So the TV veteran is reportedly in the running to
- 8:28Speaker 2: replace Pat Sajack, who announced on Monday that he'll be
- 8:30Speaker 2: leaving Wheel of Fortune at the end of its upcoming
- 8:33Speaker 2: forty first season. Now, Rob Bloomberg reporter Lucashaw, who first
- 8:37Speaker 2: broke the news of sat Jack's departure, followed up in
- 8:40Speaker 2: a tweet that Seacrest has been talking to producers of
- 8:42Speaker 2: Wheel of Fortune as s jackson exit nears, and he
- 8:45Speaker 2: added that some sources say he's a front runner, while
- 8:48Speaker 2: others say he's just one of many who are interested.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Right when you think about.
- 8:52Speaker 1: This, yeah, I'm thinking about I'm hitting the phones. I'm
- 8:55Speaker 1: trying to find out who else is up in the
- 8:56Speaker 1: running here. I reported about four months ago I broke
- 8:59Speaker 1: the story Pat was leaving, and an insider at the
- 9:02Speaker 1: show told me he wanted his daughter to take home,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and the insider told me that he would not leave
- 9:06Speaker 1: until that was pretty much settled. I'm still hearing maybe
- 9:10Speaker 1: his daughter, but the names are coming up big picture here.
- 9:13Speaker 1: What I'm told is they want new blood. They don't
- 9:15Speaker 1: want another white man in his sixties or his seventies.
- 9:18Speaker 1: They don't want to replace Pat. They want somebody totally,
- 9:21Speaker 1: totally different. Now, I would argue Ryan is a younger
- 9:25Speaker 1: version of Pat, but he's.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Not that different.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He's a safe choice, definitely a safe choice, but he's
- 9:31Speaker 1: not going to make me that excited about it. I
- 9:34Speaker 1: want to see somebody wild, Like I'd love to see
- 9:37Speaker 1: Wendy Williams's doing better Ala I love you Wendy that
- 9:42Speaker 1: or Anini leaks I'd like that maybe, and Andy Cohen,
- 9:45Speaker 1: like I want somebody that's going to make me laugh,
- 9:47Speaker 1: make me smile. Who would you give this job to?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Who would who would you call and say you're you're
- 9:53Speaker 1: the new host?
- 9:54Speaker 2: I love Alfonso Robira, who oh yeah, so much fun.
- 9:58Speaker 2: He everyone loves him from you know as Carlton from
- 10:02Speaker 2: The Fresh Prince, but also he hosts Dancing with the
- 10:04Speaker 2: Stars and he does on his own videos. He would
- 10:07Speaker 2: be the perfect choice in my mind.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I think you're right actually, because he's not afraid to
- 10:11Speaker 1: be cheesy. He's old school entertainment, like he'll do a
- 10:14Speaker 1: tap dance for you. He's got a little bit of
- 10:15Speaker 1: Liza Manelli and him he's not. I don't want some
- 10:17Speaker 1: of the cool I don't want somebody this is too
- 10:20Speaker 1: cool for school. I want someone that's ridiculous, someone you know,
- 10:24Speaker 1: maybe Kathie Lee Gifford. Now I know they want, Oh
- 10:27Speaker 1: she had a bottle of wine up, they're spinning wheel somebody.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I want somebody like that. I don't want Savannah Guffrey.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I don't want Robin Roberts. I don't want George Stephanopolos.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't want any of the smarty pants. Keep may
- 10:40Speaker 1: Umbella Common on the Jeopardo. I want Wheel's Campia Wheels
- 10:45Speaker 1: like a ridiculous show. So I want somebody really really
- 10:50Speaker 1: that's her. Maybe an Nash somebody like that. Hmm. Well,
- 10:54Speaker 1: we'll definitely keep you on the in the loop on
- 10:56Speaker 1: this because I'm gonna keep hitting the phones till I
- 10:57Speaker 1: get to the bottom of it. Talking of Wheeler Fortune,
- 11:00Speaker 1: another person that's put their name out there is what
- 11:02Speaker 1: pe Goldberg just said, I want the job? She just
- 11:06Speaker 1: said it.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I like this philosophy.
- 11:10Speaker 1: If you want a job, do you go for it?
- 11:13Speaker 3: Are you shy about it? What do you do? Mark?
- 11:16Speaker 3: There's a job out there that you want.
- 11:18Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 11:19Speaker 2: You go for it? You have to go for it,
- 11:20Speaker 2: otherwise you'll never get it. If you don't ask, you
- 11:23Speaker 2: don't get it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: How are you about being rejected?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Rejection can be hard, but I think that it gives
- 11:28Speaker 2: the motivation to work harder and find other opportunities. I
- 11:32Speaker 2: think it's just a redirection something better, and so I
- 11:34Speaker 2: like that. Yeah, I think that.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's a redirection. I'm very good at rejection because I've
- 11:38Speaker 1: been rejected a lot, and I've got to the tipping point.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Now where after a thousand nose, what's a thousand and one?
- 11:43Speaker 3: I I don't care.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Like the first maybe five hundreds were painful, but would
- 11:48Speaker 1: you get to like six hundred nose? I'm like, I'll
- 11:51Speaker 1: keep going.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Only takes one yes.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I love when Lady Gaga said that, yes you can
- 11:55Speaker 1: get ninety nine nose and one yes and all people
- 11:58Speaker 1: know about is the one. Yes, nobody knows about all
- 12:00Speaker 1: the nose. I think people look at us Marcus as
- 12:02Speaker 1: quite successful, at least in our business. When we go
- 12:04Speaker 1: out for drinks, people are like, oh, Martinop's doing really well,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and that's that crazy old rob shooter and he's still
- 12:09Speaker 1: in the in the game.
- 12:10Speaker 3: But I think what they don't know is all the
- 12:13Speaker 3: rejection that they never get to see.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It's a lot's a lot, it's a lot of hard work.
- 12:17Speaker 2: It's a lot of rejection, blood, sweat and tears. But
- 12:19Speaker 2: we love it and that's why we do what we
- 12:21Speaker 2: do right.
- 12:22Speaker 3: That's why we do it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Okay, this story is scandalous. Natalie Portman that cute ballet
- 12:29Speaker 1: dancer husband Benjamin trouble explain it or break it down, Mark.
- 12:34Speaker 3: So, while it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Seems like Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Mia Pie
- 12:39Speaker 2: are on the road to reconciliation, it seems like quite
- 12:42Speaker 2: a few people in her camp are not too happy
- 12:44Speaker 2: about it. In fact, they're pretty concerned to Nanalie's reaction
- 12:48Speaker 2: to his infidelity. One insider told rad Online that the
- 12:51Speaker 2: actress's friends are quite concerned about her forgiving him so quickly. This,
- 12:55Speaker 2: Sor said, not of these friends and colleagues are appalled
- 12:59Speaker 2: he treat her like this and giving Benjamin an extremely
- 13:02Speaker 2: wide birth. Natalie found out her husband was allegedly cheating
- 13:05Speaker 2: about three months ago. He begged for forgiveness and is
- 13:08Speaker 2: so very sorry and ashamed, and she's giving him another chance.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Natalie's brave and wants her marriage to work, but it
- 13:13Speaker 2: will take years of therapy to overcome the trust issues.
- 13:18Speaker 2: What do you think about this?
- 13:19Speaker 1: Oh, it's messy. It's messy, but this happens in life.
- 13:22Speaker 1: People make mistakes, people cheap. Sometimes people do it on
- 13:25Speaker 1: purpose too. I think it's very easy to say to
- 13:29Speaker 1: your friends, dump them, never forgive them, be furious, walk away.
- 13:34Speaker 1: But I think it's much more complicated than that. They
- 13:36Speaker 1: have children and they have a beautiful life together. He
- 13:38Speaker 1: said sorry. I mean if he did it again, then
- 13:41Speaker 1: I'd be.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Like mm hmm.
- 13:42Speaker 1: But I think I could actually be I don't want
- 13:45Speaker 1: to say okay, because I hope Bruce is not listening
- 13:47Speaker 1: to that. I don't want to say I'll be okay,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but I could see myself moving on because what I
- 13:52Speaker 1: have is so good, and the life that we've created
- 13:55Speaker 1: I like so much that people are allowed to make
- 13:59Speaker 1: terrible mistakes really hurt you, even when they love you.
- 14:03Speaker 1: People have bad judgment and things do happen in life,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and people do get lonely. I'm not excusing it. Please,
- 14:10Speaker 1: please don't get me wrong here. I would guess Mark
- 14:13Speaker 1: that you have a zero tolerance about this. But I
- 14:15Speaker 1: think if you've been with somebody a long time, you've
- 14:18Speaker 1: used my change.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Where are you?
- 14:20Speaker 2: I think I'm actually more like you. I'm open. I
- 14:22Speaker 2: think we all make mistakes. I've made my mistakes as well.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I think what's complicated about this. I think what's complicated
- 14:29Speaker 2: here is that they're going through something difficult that other
- 14:32Speaker 2: humans experience, but on a much bigger level, and people
- 14:35Speaker 2: are commenting on it and you know, talking about it,
- 14:38Speaker 2: and it's being reported about it, and then it's like,
- 14:39Speaker 2: well where does the fan where does the fiction stop?
- 14:42Speaker 2: And where's the reality start? And then you kind of
- 14:44Speaker 2: get lost in that and that must be really really
- 14:46Speaker 2: hard for her.
- 14:46Speaker 1: It must be hard, But it's nobody else's business, and
- 14:49Speaker 1: I think it's just about you too, right, Benjamin, Natalie,
- 14:52Speaker 1: If you're listening to Low and Low below, don't care
- 14:54Speaker 1: what your friends say that's the other thing too, friends
- 14:55Speaker 1: butt out. I don't get involved in my friend's relationships.
- 14:58Speaker 1: If they ask my opinion, I do give it. I'm gentle.
- 15:01Speaker 1: But I also I'm a big believer in not holding
- 15:04Speaker 1: a grudge. And that only works when you don't hold
- 15:07Speaker 1: a grudge when something awful is done to you. So
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm really painful. Like it's easy for me to forgive
- 15:12Speaker 1: you for being twenty minutes late for dinner. It's easy
- 15:14Speaker 1: for me to forgive you for sticking me with the
- 15:17Speaker 1: bill when we go to Botty. Yes, I can forgive that.
- 15:19Speaker 3: But if you cheered on me, that's really big. That's
- 15:21Speaker 3: what's really really hurtful.
- 15:23Speaker 1: But I think I can move on. And the other
- 15:26Speaker 1: point is what is my other option to be single?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Am I going to meet somebody else out there?
- 15:31Speaker 3: Probably?
- 15:31Speaker 1: But you know, when you get to thirty, forty fifty
- 15:35Speaker 1: years old, everybody has baggage. In fact, you have baggage
- 15:37Speaker 1: when you're twenty. So I'm going to replace you with
- 15:39Speaker 1: another person that comes with baggage. I'd rather the devil.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I know I'm not saying here. I'm not saying that
- 15:45Speaker 1: I would be fine with this. I'm okay with this,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I'm not I'd be deeply, deeply hurt, but I think
- 15:50Speaker 1: the friend should but act. Okay, we're going to take
- 15:53Speaker 1: a quick break now, I will be all right back.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show. Don't forget
- 16:00Speaker 1: to vote on today's pole to act to page at
- 16:02Speaker 1: Naughty Nice rob at Facebook page is Naughty Gossip and
- 16:05Speaker 1: be sure to check back to mobroe or to hear
- 16:07Speaker 1: your results are now and nicest of the day.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Oh it's Garth Brooks, Rob Gone. We love Garth. So
- 16:17Speaker 2: Garth Brooks is getting ready to open his entertainment space
- 16:21Speaker 2: Friends in Low Places Bar and honky Tonk in Nashville, Tennessee.
- 16:25Speaker 2: It's a very good Nay, I love that, and some neighbors,
- 16:28Speaker 2: like his conservative bar owner Kid Rock, have stopped serving
- 16:31Speaker 2: bud Light had been the controversy. However, Brooks says he
- 16:35Speaker 2: won't be doing that. He said, I want it to
- 16:36Speaker 2: be a place you feel safe, and I want it
- 16:38Speaker 2: to be a place where you feel like you're there
- 16:40Speaker 2: and there are manners and people like one another. And yes,
- 16:42Speaker 2: we're going to serve every brand of beer. We just are.
- 16:45Speaker 2: If you were in an a hole, there are plenty
- 16:47Speaker 2: of other places on Lower Broadway.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Good love.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I love that he's getting a lot of criticism for
- 16:52Speaker 1: this and he's not backing down. They wanted to stop
- 16:54Speaker 1: selling bud lights, and he's like, no, if you want
- 16:57Speaker 1: to buy it, by it, if you don't, if you're angry,
- 16:59Speaker 1: I get that two, then don't. But I'm not gonna
- 17:02Speaker 1: ban it. He's getting so much pressure for this and
- 17:06Speaker 1: he's not backing down. He has been a really strong
- 17:09Speaker 1: supporter of.
- 17:10Speaker 3: The LGBTQ com unity in.
- 17:12Speaker 1: The past, and Garth, I admire that you're putting your
- 17:16Speaker 1: money where your mouth is because this could hurt your business.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's not in New York City, it's not in San Francisco.
- 17:21Speaker 1: This could hurt you. His fan base is quite a conservative,
- 17:25Speaker 1: traditional bass and he's saying, no, I'm not backing down.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And if you want to come to my bar and
- 17:30Speaker 1: have a bud light, come back.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I think we should go.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Let's do it. I would go.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'll text Garth's people see if we can beat Garth.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I like, I don't know a single of his songs
- 17:42Speaker 1: that do you know any of his songs?
- 17:43Speaker 2: I don't know, no, but I just it's okay. We can,
- 17:45Speaker 2: we can figure out.
- 17:46Speaker 1: We'll have to listen. We'll get his greatest hits. I mean,
- 17:49Speaker 1: he doesn't need us. He's sold hundreds of millions of records,
- 17:51Speaker 1: so don't feel bad for him. But we should know
- 17:53Speaker 1: at least one. I don't know any of his songs.
- 17:55Speaker 2: We should make it like a Gay Pride remix one
- 17:57Speaker 2: of his.
- 18:00Speaker 1: To sing Garthlas a Gay Pride, A drink wood light
- 18:04Speaker 1: and nicest The day I naught she is the day.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Oh You're so naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty, but I love it.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Amy Schumer is laughing at Hilaria Hillary Baldwin so in
- 18:14Speaker 1: a new stand up special. She's making fun of Hilario,
- 18:17Speaker 1: who she met backstage at SNL, and she said she
- 18:20Speaker 1: had a very sick Spanish accent. Does the accent and
- 18:23Speaker 1: she said, they have a ridiculous amount of children, like
- 18:25Speaker 1: the von Trapp family from the Sound of Music, And
- 18:28Speaker 1: she said, having this fabulous accent and these children who
- 18:32Speaker 1: are all who all have Spanish names like Flamenco and Craqueat.
- 18:38Speaker 1: She said, Oh, that would be fine and beautiful, except
- 18:40Speaker 1: she's Hillary from Boston, so I'm not trying to bully
- 18:45Speaker 1: a socio path. But I have a point. Okay, she
- 18:49Speaker 1: does have a point. What do you think Alex's response,
- 18:53Speaker 1: He's gonna obey.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Oh, you know, he's a fierce defender of Alaria and
- 18:57Speaker 2: he does not like to have a week of fun
- 18:58Speaker 2: of her. So I think he'll know, you know, he'll
- 19:00Speaker 2: come back with something loud and brash.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Yeah, Bruce is a fierce defender of mine when I'm
- 19:06Speaker 1: in the right. But if I started calling myself roberta
- 19:09Speaker 1: from saying he would be like Robert He definitely he'd
- 19:14Speaker 1: be another joke or he definitely would point out the
- 19:17Speaker 1: joke to me.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I love this.
- 19:20Speaker 1: And in a day and age when we're also scared
- 19:23Speaker 1: of saying anything or offending anybody, Amy Schumer, you are
- 19:27Speaker 1: just delightful. Okay, let's end with a moment of rub.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You're gott rub, you rub, You got a rub, You
- 19:31Speaker 1: get a robber. The dread of doing a task actually
- 19:35Speaker 1: uses up more time and energy than doing the task.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So whatever you're putting off today, it might just be
- 19:40Speaker 1: as simple as your laundry. It might be answering an
- 19:42Speaker 1: email from someone you don't like. It might be returning
- 19:45Speaker 1: a phone call. Whatever you are putting off today.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Just do it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: That's why Nike has just in their logo. If it
- 19:53Speaker 1: was do it, it's not as exciting as just do it.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Just do it.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Do it. You're gonna spend more time, more effort, more
- 20:02Speaker 1: energy putting this off than just doing it. I have
- 20:06Speaker 1: a rule every morning, when I get out of bed,
- 20:08Speaker 1: the one thing I don't want to do that day
- 20:10Speaker 1: I do first. So it might be emailing my boss.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It might be returning my mother's call. So the one
- 20:17Speaker 1: thing I don't want to do do it might just
- 20:20Speaker 1: be paying a bill. It might be going to the
- 20:22Speaker 1: doctor's Do it. And life feels so much better when
- 20:27Speaker 1: you get it off your back. Get it off your back.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Just do it.
- 20:32Speaker 1: That is it for today. Thank you so much for listening.
- 20:34Speaker 1: So there not even Nis with Robin Mark Show, a
