War, Distraction and the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal (6/18/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. Ever since the announcement of the Epstein Files
0:08
and the scandal reigniting, we have seen the Trump administration
0:13
do everything in their power to get the conversation to
0:16
move somewhere, anywhere else. And some people even think that
0:20
the wars that are being fought or have been fought
0:24
throughout the last year or so are nothing more than
0:27
a diversion from the Epstein Files. And now people are
0:31
calling them the Epstein wars. And when you start looking
0:35
at what we gained from what happened over in Iran,
0:39
you got to ask yourself what was the point? Now
0:43
they'll tell you, well, the straight of Horror moves is open,
0:45
but it was open before we attacked Iran. So that's
0:49
a mood point. Well, they're not gonna have nuclear weapons,
0:53
sure they're not. Oh and by the way, they're getting
0:56
three hundred billion dollars for what billion. Infrastructure was attacked,
1:02
only military outposts and military facilities. So why are we
1:06
giving them three hundred billion dollars? Especially after all that
1:09
talk about the pallets of cash that were being shipped
1:12
to the Iranians during Obama's tenure. I'm old enough to
1:16
remember that. But now, all of a sudden, we're going
1:19
to put three hundred billion into Iran and for what. Now, Look,
1:24
if we would have destroyed Tehran, you know, rubled it,
1:27
then yeah, that would be our responsibility, no doubt about it.
1:32
But that didn't happen. So what's the motivation for ponying
1:36
up three hundred billion? How about we get three hundred
1:39
billion for our infrastructure here in America. That might be
1:42
a good idea, but God forbid, our lives are made
1:45
easier or better. It's always about, you know, the boogeyman
1:49
somewhere else. Meanwhile, we have plenty of problems right here
1:52
at home. So the question is we're all these wars,
1:57
all these military operations a diversion or were they legitimate
2:02
campaigns that furthered American interests around the world? And if
2:05
that was their goal, they failed miserably because the United
2:10
States has never been on shake your footing around the world.
2:13
And according to David Rothkoff, the author of this article,
2:17
every single one of these military engagements is nothing more
2:21
than a distraction. Today's article was published by The Daily
2:25
Beast and the headline Strongman Trump's forever wars. I'll come
2:29
back to Jeffrey Epstein. This article was authored by David Rothkoff.
2:36
Once we had wars of choice, Today we have wars
2:39
of distraction called the catastrophically misguided war in Iran and
2:43
the Blink and you missed It war with Venezuela, the
2:46
Epstein wars. Look is he wrong at this point? I
2:53
kind of agree, like we gain nothing with Iran. Like
2:57
if we would have had some kind of tangible gains
3:00
as a society, as a nation and we weren't dealing
3:02
with somebody like Trump, I would laugh this article away.
3:06
But after all we've learned all we know. Do you
3:10
really put it past the Trump administration to start these
3:13
military operations as a distraction. I don't. These were not
3:18
wars fought to defend US national security. They were not
3:21
wars fought to advance our national interest. They were wars
3:25
conjured up not by generals or season foreign policy advisors,
3:29
but by a frightened old man and his public relations
3:31
team to distract from a scandal he fears will be
3:35
his undoing And look, I don't doubt for a minute
3:38
that Trump is very fearful of the Epstein story. Look,
3:42
at his reaction. He's never reacted like this to anything else,
3:45
including Russia. So when you have somebody acting out the
3:49
way Donald Trump is acting out, usually that means there's
3:53
some there there. Now, I'm not going to sit here
3:55
and tell you that there's evidence that Donald Trump was
3:57
partaking in the abuse. We don't have any smoking gun
4:02
evidence of that. Now. People have said some pretty disturbing
4:07
things about Donald Trump's behavior, but we don't have that
4:10
smoking gun. What I think we do have, though, is
4:14
an obvious cover up, And I think that all you
4:17
have to do is follow along from the beginning here
4:20
and at every step of the way. The cover up
4:23
has been ongoing, and the cover up has been growing.
4:27
They're massive human, economic, and geopolitical costs being undertaken to
4:30
serve the narrow self interest of not a nation, but
4:33
that man, the president of the United States. Now, look,
4:37
we also have to take everything that we hear from
4:40
the Deli Beast with a grain of salt. They certainly
4:42
don't like Donald Trump, right, so that is something that
4:47
kind of shades the way they report this. But that said,
4:51
does that take away from the truth of the matter.
4:55
Does that take away from the fact that these wars
4:58
gained us nothing. Now, I guess you can make the
5:01
case down in Venezuela. They got Madero and it was
5:04
a pretty bloodless type of situation. Right, Okay, cool Madero
5:09
not a great guy, But is he this criminal that
5:13
they're making him out to be. He's the worst world
5:16
leader we have. I mean, come on, where does it end?
5:21
So Venezuela, at least they have some kind of footing, right,
5:25
all right, we charged Madero, we went swooped him up.
5:28
Now we're going to try him in court. But Iran,
5:31
what do we got going on here? What are they doing?
5:34
What's the goal? What's the endgame? Well, the endgame started
5:39
out as no nuclear weapons. The endgame started out as well,
5:42
we're going to get rid of the regime. Now, all
5:44
of a sudden we see Trump capitulating to Iran three
5:48
hundred billion to help rebuild the country. So geopolitically speaking,
5:53
we gain nothing. Now, that doesn't mean that the United
5:55
States military didn't blast these dudes to Kingdom come. They did,
6:00
But that's not enough to get it done. There's never
6:03
been regime change from the air. If you want to
6:06
change the regime, you have to have boots on the ground,
6:09
and we know that Trump's never going to do that.
6:11
So at the end of the day, who exactly did
6:14
this operation serve not the American people? Well, the one
6:18
person that's standing to gain the most, certainly Donald Trump.
6:22
And now, of course you have people out here talking
6:23
about the great victory. I mean really the great victory.
6:27
This is capitulation. This is basically Donald Trump bending the
6:32
knee to the IRGC. That's basically what happened here, all
6:38
because he didn't want to deal with the Epstein matter.
6:42
By the way, the Epstein matter is not going away.
6:45
I've told you that from the beginning. And they can
6:48
throw out all the wars they want, all the alien
6:50
invasions they want, whatever. We're not going to be distracted
6:54
at this point. We've come too far. And like I've
6:56
told you, the boats have been burned on the shore.
6:58
There is no going back. The facts of what has
7:01
unfolded to date in these wars makes us clear Trump
7:04
and his team could not coherently express rationale for entering
7:07
into either military operation. They offered many possibilities and spouted
7:13
many blatant lies, but shifted between them carelessly as if
7:16
they did not matter, because well, they did not matter.
7:21
And look, I think now that we have, you know,
7:24
a few miles put between us and the start of
7:27
all of this, it becomes more and more apparent. And
7:31
you know, I always tell you I don't like to
7:33
jump to conclusions. I like to wait and get as
7:36
much information as we can. But it's not looking good
7:39
for the Trump administration when it comes to the war
7:41
in Iran and the war in Venezuela. To me, and look,
7:45
this is my personal opinion, it looks like a distraction.
7:50
The leaders of Venezuela were corrupt, criminal even, but they
7:54
were not terrorists. They are not terrorists. They posed no
7:57
direct threat to the people or territory of the United States.
8:01
And that's true too. Now you can make the case
8:04
that Venezuela was moving drugs, and they were, but not Ventanyl.
8:09
Venezuela was a gigantic hub for cocaine. And what would
8:14
happen is you would have the cartels bring the cocaine
8:16
to Venezuela, and once they crossed the Venezuelan border, the
8:20
Venezuelan military would offer them protection and then they'd get
8:24
pieced off. So once the load got into Venezuela, it
8:28
was protected by the government. They'd bring it to port
8:32
and then they'd ship it to America, or they'd ship
8:34
it to Europe. Whatever. Now, look, I'm not going to
8:36
tell you that cocaine is great. It's not. But it's
8:40
certainly not fentanyl. And if you were looking to go
8:43
after somebody, you should have been going after the cartels.
8:48
Iran was nowhere near acquiring a nuclear weapon. Well, I
8:51
don't know about that. I mean, honestly, I have no
8:54
idea they could have been. Let's not act like Iran
8:58
is some kind of great administration, great you know, group
9:01
of people who don't have any designs on being mad men.
9:05
They most certainly do, so don't take this as me
9:08
saying that Iran are the good guys here. I don't
9:11
believe that. I think Iran and the IRGC should be decimated,
9:16
but that was never the goal. Unfortunately, that was never
9:19
the goal. And the people of Iran, they're the ones
9:22
that are going to suffer. Now the hornet's nest has
9:25
been kicked, and now Trump's retreating and leaving the Uranian
9:29
people to their own faith. And then you wonder why
9:32
people hate Americans. It had no ability to deliver such
9:35
a weapon. There was no imminent threat, and indeed, to
9:38
the degree to which Iran had moved closer to gaining
9:41
the ability to manufacture a weapon. It was in large
9:45
part due to actions taken by the president during his
9:48
first term, when he tore up the effective successful nuclear
9:51
agreement struck during the Obama administration. Bullshit, that wasn't working either. Okay, stop,
9:58
don't try their revisionist history. That deal that Obama made
10:02
not good. Wasn't a good deal. If anybody thinks that
10:05
Iran wasn't still working towards building a bomb, they're crazy.
10:09
They were. That's their goal. Do you know why? Because
10:13
they see what's going on in North Korea. They see
10:16
that Kim John Wund's crazy ass got himself a bomb
10:19
and now he can pretty much do whatever the fuck
10:22
he wants. Right nobody's messing with them. So Iran sees
10:25
that and they want to do the same thing. So
10:28
let's not sugarcoat that and act like Iran doesn't have
10:31
designs on having a bomb. The operation in Venezuela began
10:35
with the murder on the high Seas of occupants of
10:37
small craft the US alleged were trafficking in drugs. We
10:41
attacked them with no evidence of these alleged crimes. We
10:44
administered the death penalty to the occupants of the boats
10:47
without due process. In some cases, we did so consistent
10:51
with orders that were in violation of international law and
10:55
the Military Code of Justice. Well, international law really means nothing.
10:59
Let's be real, Okay, there's nobody in the world that's
11:05
going to press the case against the United States, So
11:08
just cut the bullshit now against Military Code of Justice.
11:13
I'm not too sure. I have no clue what that is,
11:15
so I won't make pretend I know. But what I
11:18
will say is this. If people are trafficking drugs and
11:22
they're bringing in loads of cocaine, and you know that
11:25
they have loads of cocaine, well you should arrest them, right.
11:30
I don't know why you're blowing the boat up. What's
11:31
the point of that? Now? If you're going to incapacitate
11:34
the boat, great, but why not just arrest these people?
11:38
When we snatched the leader of Venezuela on a thin
11:41
legal pretext, we then allowed as regime to remain in
11:44
place if they would direct some of their oil revenue
11:46
to US or the interest identified by the President as beneficiaries.
11:52
It's still unclear who is making the money produced by
11:55
these sales. But the nature of the US operation is
11:58
crystal clear. It too was a crime. It was a
12:01
foreign policy as the mafia would conduct it, a shakedown,
12:04
an extortion racket. I mean, is he wrong we left
12:08
the regime in place. I thought there were all bad people,
12:11
so it was just Maduro doing all of it. The
12:14
attacks on Iran were undertaken under false pretenses, contrary to
12:18
the Constitution and the letter of the War Powers Act.
12:22
Civilians and civilian targets were victims in clear violation of
12:26
international law. I have my doubts about that, Okay. I
12:31
don't really believe the propaganda coming from the ground, just
12:33
like I don't believe the propaganda coming from the United States.
12:39
The fog of war is real, and all these different
12:42
people making these accusations, I just don't know what's true
12:45
and what's not. But targeting of civilian infrastructure, that's definitely
12:51
not happening. We've seen the pictures, we've seen the video,
12:54
So you can say that that happened, and sure, I'm
12:57
sure that civilians did get killed, But to say that
13:00
they were targeted in a malicious manner, I don't think
13:03
I buy that. Now with that said, I don't think
13:06
it really matters if you're on the ground and a
13:08
bomb comes through your roof, right, doesn't matter one bit.
13:12
In other words, the President chose to unleash a series
13:15
of illegal wars to distract from the possible crimes that
13:18
might be revealed as part of the Epstein investigation. Clearly
13:22
he's petrified of what the facts of that case will reveal.
13:25
He's devoted the full resources of the Department of Justice
13:28
to bury the truth about Epstein. He had the Deputy
13:32
Attorney General cut a deal with Epstein sex trafficking co
13:35
conspirator Glanne Maxwell and ignored the law passed by Congress
13:39
demanding all files be turned over to congressional investigators. Well,
13:43
that's true. There's no doubt there's a cover up underway
13:47
here in America. Now, if you want to believe that
13:50
the wars are part of it as a distraction, I
13:53
think there's some evidence that points in that direction. He
13:56
apparently ordered the serial obstruction of justice, and then he
14:00
if you're to reward that dutiful DOJ Number two, Todd
14:02
Blanche with a nomination to be top dog at the agency,
14:07
why go to that trouble if there was nothing to hide,
14:09
why take the risk? What could be so grave that
14:12
it warranted such behavior? Well, we know, we know. The
14:17
question is just how deep Trump's involved. That's the real question, right,
14:24
how deep are the ties and how much did he
14:27
know or was he involved in when it comes to
14:30
his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, And I think that's the
14:34
investigation that has to take place. The President's behavior has
14:39
only simulated interest in the case. Allegations against him made
14:43
under oath suggested that he had committed terrible crimes. The
14:47
public and members of his own party were turning against him,
14:50
angered that he did not release the full truth about
14:53
the Epstein case, as he once promised to do. Clearly,
14:58
trying to bury the case was not working, so he
15:00
tried something else, anything else instead. The first of the
15:04
Epstein Wars may well have been the ones he launched
15:07
against American cities, sending in troops to combat illusory threats,
15:11
killing US citizens in the process, spending millions, depleting the
15:15
resources that should have been used for our defense, achieving
15:19
nothing but mayhem and more serial violations of the law.
15:23
The second Epstein War was Venezuela. Epstein War III is
15:27
this war that Trump is now desperately trying to wind
15:30
down in Iran, that once like the invasion of our cities,
15:34
had backfired. He had sent the global economy into a tailspin,
15:38
drove up inflation, weakened our alliances, spent tens of billions
15:42
of dollars, produced devastation that led to the deaths of
15:45
more than a dozen US troops. We're not sure of
15:48
how many plus thousands of Iranians and Lebanese citizens, most
15:52
of them innocent victims. Well, I don't know, Okay, we
15:56
don't have an accounting. What are we going to go on?
15:59
What Iran has to say. I don't believe them either.
16:02
When are people going to get hip to the fact
16:04
that there are no good guys here? None of these
16:07
people are good. None of them care about you, None
16:10
of them care about Lebanon, None of them care about Iran.
16:12
They care about their own bank accounts. None of the
16:16
objectives the US alleged were the reasons for the war
16:19
were achieved. If there was regime change, it was to
16:22
replace a bad regime with a worse, more hardline one.
16:26
Iran's nuclear capability was not obliterated as promised. Neither were
16:30
Iran's missiles or drone capabilities, nor the effectiveness of its
16:35
proxy network throughout the Middle East. Rather than weakening Iran,
16:39
it's emerged with more leverage over the strait of horror
16:41
moves and thereby the global economy. Our alliances are weaker,
16:46
Irans are stronger. And look, I hate to admit it,
16:50
but it's true. Trump got dog walked, and that MoU
16:55
absolutely embarrassing. Talk about a capitulation, and to these people,
16:59
of all people, absolutely devastating geopolitically speaking. And now the
17:05
US seems to be suing for peace, desperate to get
17:08
out of the war, proposing to pay off Iran in
17:10
exchange for just talking with US. Indeed, in France this week,
17:15
Trump actually said that perhaps it was not even worth
17:17
negotiating about the fate of Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles. In
17:22
his view, now that they have promised not to seek
17:25
nuclear weapons, the rest of it is irrelevant. Except you see,
17:28
Iran first promised never to seek nuclear weapons in nineteen
17:32
sixty six, it repeated that promise in writing in the
17:36
twenty fifteen accord, Trump tore up Indeed, no one has
17:40
done more to open the door to motivate Iranian progress
17:44
toward the ability to produce such a weapon than Trump.
17:47
Perhaps someday he will be made a hero of the
17:49
Iranian Revolution for his efforts while he loves that part
17:53
of the world. Has this dude ever met an oil
17:55
baron he wasn't in love with? Has he ever met
17:59
somebody over in the Middle East that he hasn't wanted
18:02
to be friends with? Seems like his type of people.
18:07
All of this begs the question if the war was
18:10
actually important for national security reasons, Why accept such a
18:13
humiliating defeat. Why give up and walk away? Why reward
18:17
Iran in the process with cash in a stronger position
18:21
in order to help make it go away? Good questions,
18:24
all of them. The only conclusion one can draw is
18:28
that none of the usual reasons we decide whether to
18:30
fight or withdraw mattered this time. The war was useful
18:35
if it distracted from Jeffrey Epstein, and not useful when
18:39
it became a problem rivaling the Epstein problem. Trump wants
18:43
to turn the page. Indications, however, are that his goals
18:47
remain the same. His next moves may well be the
18:50
next Epstein war. Cuba has been suggested by the President
18:54
as a likely next target. Greenland remains a possibility, even
18:58
Panama could end up on the president hit list. None
19:02
of these conflicts are in the US interest. All are
19:04
in service of Trump's pr agenda, and, from time to time,
19:07
if it can be arranged, his ever present search for grift.
19:12
This man who literally wraps himself in the flag and
19:14
who along with his aides regularly touts their love of
19:18
the military, views the entire massive US defense apparatus as
19:22
a prop a personal plaything, an entity that exists not
19:26
to defend the country, but rather to defend the president himself.
19:31
Whatever the cost, whatever the lasting damage done, doesn't matter,
19:36
as long as people do not find out any more
19:38
of the dark truth about who Donald Trump is, what
19:41
he has done in his past, and why are worst
19:44
fears about him? May not go far enough in detailing
19:47
his depravity and contempt for the law and human decency. Now, look,
19:52
there's a lot to unpack with that article, right, but
19:55
I think that the gist of it is valid. And
19:59
when you talk about distract actions, what better distractions than wars?
20:03
So what do you folks think? Do you think that
20:05
these wars are nothing more than part of the cover
20:08
up or do you think that the author here is
20:10
getting a bit ahead of themselves. Shoot me some emails
20:13
and let me know. All the information that goes with
