Jackie the Eagle’s Legacy Lives On | Sacramento News
A beloved bald eagle named Jackie, the first chick ever recorded hatching in Big Bear Valley in 2012 and known for being larger than her parents, passed away after a prolonged illness following a scuffle with other eagles. Millions watched her and her partner Shadow raise their chicks via live cams — now, Shadow’s been spotted with a new mate, KD1, possibly taking over their old nest.
