- 0:47Speaker 2: It is timed to leave your worries outside and life
- 0:51Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:54Speaker 2: Trey Trendholm, Raj Sharma and Jerry called Well, thank you
- 0:58Speaker 2: for hanging out with us today. Thank you for hanging
- 1:01Speaker 2: out with us all week here inside the Treehouse. Last
- 1:06Speaker 2: week was also a big week inside the Treehouse because
- 1:09Speaker 2: last week we told you about the night Writer reboot
- 1:13Speaker 2: that just might include Airwolf, something to get all of
- 1:16Speaker 2: our nostalgia hearts running.
- 1:19Speaker 3: But wait, there's more.
- 1:22Speaker 2: There is a new Baywatch reboot in the works.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Oh good grief.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yeah, because the movie that the Rocket did a few
- 1:33Speaker 2: years ago wasn't enough. They said, you know what, we
- 1:36Speaker 2: need to bring this show back, not just in movie form,
- 1:39Speaker 2: but we need to put this thing back on TV.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Fox is reviving Baywatch next season with an all new cast,
- 1:48Speaker 2: no householf.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They are promising to quote bring the California Dream to
- 1:59Speaker 2: a whole nude generation of fans.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I think Hasselhoff would need a desk job at this point.
- 2:08Speaker 5: He probably just needs a job.
- 2:12Speaker 4: In a cheeseburger.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And a nice cold floor.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh man, I never got into Baywatch.
- 2:23Speaker 4: I didn't either. Ever, I'm out on that one.
- 2:27Speaker 2: To be fair, I don't know how much you can
- 2:29Speaker 2: actually get into Baywatch because it's I mean, it's not
- 2:33Speaker 2: like it was earth shattering storylines here it was. I mean,
- 2:37Speaker 2: you're talking about a show that was an hour long
- 2:41Speaker 2: with commercials, and ten minutes of every episode was a
- 2:46Speaker 2: music video of them running around or working out or whatever.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So for television, you have an hour long show. Once
- 2:55Speaker 2: you take out the commercials, you're only shooting about forty
- 2:58Speaker 2: five minutes right of content, and then back out of
- 3:02Speaker 2: that forty five another seven to ten for a nice
- 3:04Speaker 2: musical montage and slow running sequences. You've only got about
- 3:08Speaker 2: a half hour of actual show to write.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But I mean, clearly I mean, obviously it was very popular.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I mean, I just I don't that was something of
- 3:18Speaker 1: the late eighties early nineties that I just never got into.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot of things I understood that
- 3:23Speaker 1: one is not one of them.
- 3:25Speaker 2: That's because you weren't my age when it came out.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Also, I think it was on opposite of Star Trek,
- 3:30Speaker 3: so I was out.
- 3:33Speaker 2: And that would have just depended on you know, your
- 3:37Speaker 2: television provider at the time.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The show's going to feature an all not all new.
- 3:46Speaker 2: The show feature all the adrenaline fueled rescues, tangled relationships,
- 3:51Speaker 2: complicated chemistry, and beachside heroics that defined the original, now
- 3:55Speaker 2: with an entirely new cast. The original Baywatch premiered on
- 3:59Speaker 2: NBC in nineteen eighty nine and it ran all of
- 4:03Speaker 2: one season. Then it moved a syndication for ten more
- 4:08Speaker 2: glorious years.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yes, Raj Pamla Anderson in a Bikini or Star Trek
- 4:26Speaker 4: and you went Star Trek. Patrick Stewart is a piece
- 4:32Speaker 4: of ass making, so number one, and boy.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Did they.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, don't even get me started on Jonathan Frakes.
- 4:49Speaker 4: No one ever has.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Patrick Stewart did. Jean Luke loved him? Soon number one.
- 4:58Speaker 3: It wasn't Jonathan Frakes.
- 5:00Speaker 5: It was Jonathan.
- 5:03Speaker 4: You went straight Picard. Huh, that's an odd choice. I mean,
- 5:10Speaker 4: I didn't know there was any storyline, don't they watched,
- 5:12Speaker 4: But I like the opening scene with all of them
- 5:16Speaker 4: running with the credits rolling, and it was Donna Dierico
- 5:20Speaker 4: was one of them.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Donna Dierica. I mean you had a hell of
- 5:23Speaker 2: a cast that no, you know, over the years, a
- 5:28Speaker 2: hell of a cask. He had hell of tits, including Hasselhoffs.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now. His tits bounced just as
- 5:41Speaker 2: much as Pamela Anderson's or Erica Alniax and.
- 5:44Speaker 4: That say what you want. But Hasselhoff had a solid ass,
- 5:50Speaker 4: did he He did? Okay, he had the red shorts.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I don't remember them accentuating Hasselhoff's ass much on Baywatch,
- 5:59Speaker 2: and I know because I watched it a lot.
- 6:01Speaker 4: They did the abs, they did it like they accentuated
- 6:04Speaker 4: his abs for sure.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and were drawn on.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They're just Esburgers and they're they're shading his body hair
- 6:14Speaker 2: to make it look like a six pack, you know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: with like a with like a beard trimmer.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the thing that nobody noticed. Like if you
- 6:21Speaker 4: look at the old promo picture from Night Writer, he's
- 6:26Speaker 4: got the shirt open chest hair just I mean early eighties.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Then you get to Baywatch and he's just waxed.
- 6:35Speaker 2: He had he maybe it was later years because he
- 6:40Speaker 2: he ended up going more o natural with the Chester.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Maybe he had trimmed it some, okay, but it wasn't slick. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 2: just just I'm not just for the record, Yes.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Okay, you want to make fun of Star Trek and
- 6:58Speaker 1: y'all are here, you know, picking out about you know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: Table Hasselhoff's body man talking about his ass and his
- 7:05Speaker 1: abs and his fuck off. That's my prime directive, funk
- 7:12Speaker 1: all the way off.
- 7:14Speaker 2: There was no question about hair on John Luke Picard's head.
- 7:18Speaker 2: It was it was bald, and it had it a
- 7:19Speaker 2: little bit on the side, and it didn't matter because,
- 7:22Speaker 2: as Trey so eloquently said, he was a piece of
- 7:24Speaker 2: ass with.
- 7:26Speaker 3: A British accent, I mean the British accent.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so that's what gets that's what gets you going.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And listen, everything is better with a British British accent.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Money.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Python would not be his nearest funny without a British accent.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Go Back and remake the Go Back and remake Money
- 7:46Speaker 2: Python and the Holy Grail. But with American accent, the
- 7:49Speaker 2: movie is gonna be garbage.
- 7:51Speaker 4: But if you made Top Gun and everybody had a
- 7:53Speaker 4: British accent, would you take that movie? Seriously?
- 7:56Speaker 3: No, but I'd love it.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Now.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I want to see that now. I want Top Gun three.
- 8:03Speaker 5: I don't talk to me.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Basically, you're making hot shots and replacing Charlie Sheen.
- 8:14Speaker 3: And we'd all watch it.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I gave him the finger.
- 8:21Speaker 4: I was inverted the whole time.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I mean, we're already making it right now, all right,
- 8:33Speaker 2: I have an idea, and I want you to hear
- 8:35Speaker 2: me out.
- 8:35Speaker 3: This might be a terrible idea, but what.
- 8:37Speaker 2: We should do is get a few classic scenes from
- 8:40Speaker 2: Top Gun and then we all recreate them here inside
- 8:43Speaker 2: the Treehouse, but with our worst British accents, and we
- 8:45Speaker 2: just see what happens.
- 8:48Speaker 4: I'm on board, I'm there, all right.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So Jerry, you will obviously play Kelly mcgillis's part.
- 8:58Speaker 4: I'm sundown, Yes you are. I can't even get wolf
- 9:12Speaker 4: Man or Cowboy. I can't get.
- 9:15Speaker 3: No.
- 9:24Speaker 4: It's just settling into Dan, right, God.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Don't worry.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You'll have an expanded role in our version.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Yet.
- 9:38Speaker 2: In our version, Rajah SunDog will be invited to the
- 9:42Speaker 2: volleyball scene.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Excellent.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Oh, desegregation is awesome, isn't it.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Though you're still not You're still not going to be
- 9:51Speaker 2: a pilot. You're still gonna be in the back of
- 9:53Speaker 2: the jet.
- 9:53Speaker 4: No, I'm definitely a dee I higher.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 2: We don't want anyone looking at you and the cockpit
- 10:00Speaker 2: and thinking, I don't know if he should be the pilot.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I can't wait for this version.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Nor can people of color.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, although I will say I know that I know
- 10:16Speaker 2: what you guys are thinking. If you raj your sundown,
- 10:19Speaker 2: and if in our version of Uh top Gun, if
- 10:24Speaker 2: Jerry's playing Kelly mcgillis's part, that means Trey and I
- 10:28Speaker 2: have to decide who has to be Maverick and make
- 10:30Speaker 2: out with Jerry.
- 10:31Speaker 5: You're Maverick, I am not.
- 10:33Speaker 3: If you are, I would rather be Goose, who's taller.
- 10:39Speaker 3: That's not fair.
- 10:46Speaker 6: You're in the treehouse. Visit is online on air dot com.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I'm not shaving either. I have lost that loving feeling.
- 10:58Speaker 5: So you're gonna look like Kelly McGill us.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Now, let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and
- 11:12Speaker 2: Restoration into the Treehouse eight three three cook DFW to
- 11:16Speaker 2: get your free roof inspection scheduled. The website to check
- 11:20Speaker 2: out some of the amazing work they do is cookdfw
- 11:23Speaker 2: dot com. Daniel, when was the last time you went
- 11:26Speaker 2: to someone's house and you immediately saw the problem but
- 11:30Speaker 2: they didn't.
- 11:31Speaker 8: You know, a lot of times people call us out
- 11:34Speaker 8: for leaks. That's a very common thing. You know, we
- 11:36Speaker 8: have a leak in our house, we don't know where
- 11:38Speaker 8: it's coming from, you know, And the majority of the
- 11:41Speaker 8: time we jump up immediately on the roof and we
- 11:43Speaker 8: see a patch of missing shingles or we see a
- 11:45Speaker 8: pipe jack flashing boot that's failed and deteriorated. And so
- 11:49Speaker 8: now every time it rains, the rain just poured pipe.
- 11:52Speaker 8: And then I guess when it, you know, goes past
- 11:56Speaker 8: the insulation and all the other stuff up they the
- 11:58Speaker 8: attic and finally gets to your room or your ceilings.
- 12:01Speaker 8: Should I say, you start noticing all that moisture building
- 12:04Speaker 8: up on your sheet rock. And so it's amazing how
- 12:07Speaker 8: fast that happens. I mean, you know, I would say
- 12:11Speaker 8: probably seventy five percent of the time. Leak diagnosis and
- 12:14Speaker 8: finding problems are pretty simple, but there are times where
- 12:16Speaker 8: you have to do very in depth water test. You
- 12:19Speaker 8: got to climb up in the attic in these little
- 12:20Speaker 8: tiny cubbies, I mean almost get claustrophobia sometimes and any
- 12:23Speaker 8: hit in those atticts and so you know, we try
- 12:26Speaker 8: to find it.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Before we have to go do that.
- 12:28Speaker 8: But uh, yeah, it's it's seventy five five.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Well, he's gonna be very thorough. He and his team
- 12:33Speaker 2: are very thorough. They'll come out to your house check
- 12:35Speaker 2: for any imperfections and get those fixed for you. And
- 12:40Speaker 2: they'll be honest with you about they about what they
- 12:42Speaker 2: find and to leave and crawling those crevices where you
- 12:44Speaker 2: know you don't want to.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Go, that's where they go. That's where they live.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Eight three three Cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.

- 13:35Speaker 2: and we're flying around over DFW, there might be some
- 13:38Speaker 2: things falling out of the sky that'll hit your roof.
- 13:40Speaker 2: So called Daniel Cook, He'll come take a look and
- 13:42Speaker 2: he'll fix whatever issue you may have. Eight three three
- 13:44Speaker 2: COOKDFW or the website cookdfw dot com. On the heels
- 13:50Speaker 2: of the news that Fox is bringing back Baywatch to television,
- 13:55Speaker 2: it got me wondering because aired for one year on
- 14:01Speaker 2: NBC than ten more years in syndication. Fox is going
- 14:04Speaker 2: to bring it back. Now, there's another little interesting tidbit
- 14:08Speaker 2: about bay Watch, and I'm not sure if you guys
- 14:10Speaker 2: remember in nineteen ninety five, David Hasselhoff also starred in
- 14:18Speaker 2: a two season spin off called Baywatch Knights. So to me,
- 14:25Speaker 2: this begs the question, if they bring back regular Baywatch,
- 14:30Speaker 2: will they also include a reboot of the classic bay
- 14:33Speaker 2: Watch spinoff Baywatch Nights.
- 14:37Speaker 4: What was Baywatch Knights about?
- 14:39Speaker 2: It was him, It was basically they were The real
- 14:44Speaker 2: answer is they did a spinoff show where It was
- 14:48Speaker 2: him and his police buddy and I think his lieutenant
- 14:54Speaker 2: from the bay Watch Private Investigators Lifeguards by day Pies
- 15:02Speaker 2: by Sexy Nights.
- 15:04Speaker 4: So they were trying to like Redo Magnum p I,
- 15:08Speaker 4: but with a twist. Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Basically they.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Traded Sellek for Hasselhoff. Okay, mm hmmm hmm. Interesting. I
- 15:21Speaker 4: would hope to God not.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Don't.
- 15:24Speaker 4: I don't think anybody wants to see that except for Germans.
- 15:28Speaker 9: Mm hmmm.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Here's the thing about bay Watch Nights.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Did you guys?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Did any of you guys ever watch that show?
- 15:36Speaker 4: I've never seen an episode of Baywatch, so I don't
- 15:39Speaker 4: think I would have stepped around for the spinoff.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I'll send you some clips, Rajen, please vote. So, since
- 15:49Speaker 2: none of you guys watched bay Watch Nights, you don't
- 15:51Speaker 2: have an answer to this question, but I'm going to
- 15:53Speaker 2: ask it anyway. I don't know which show was worse
- 15:56Speaker 2: back in the early nineties, bay Watch Nights or that
- 16:01Speaker 2: show with Hult Hugan in the speedboat.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Thunder and Paradise. Thunder and Paradise.
- 16:09Speaker 4: That was a TV show. I thought that was a movie. Mhm.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Hulk Hogan and somebody else played two former Navy seals
- 16:18Speaker 2: with a high end speed boat fighting crime and drug
- 16:23Speaker 2: lords and things.
- 16:25Speaker 4: I bet that was the elevator pitch. Like, what you
- 16:27Speaker 4: just did is like Hulk Hogan and someone else, and
- 16:30Speaker 4: they're like, keep talking speedboat, Navy seals. That's about all
- 16:36Speaker 4: we got. They're like, here's money, perfect, make it happen.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll just we'll just run that right after sequest DSV.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Like a natural lead in. It was kind of built
- 16:50Speaker 3: like air Wolf but with a boat.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Mm hm yes, very very very much like that.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Somebody put a Hulk Hogan on a TV show. Wow, okay, yeah, oh.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I mean it was a syndication show. It was not.
- 17:03Speaker 2: This was not broadcast television type of thing.
- 17:05Speaker 3: This was not. This was not Law and Order.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Yes it was.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It's Hulk Hogan, Chris Lemon, Carol Alt, Ashley Garrill, and
- 17:18Speaker 3: Patrick McNee.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Of those people, well one of them is dead. But
- 17:24Speaker 4: of those people, how many will admit to being on
- 17:26Speaker 4: that show?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Well, other than Carol Alt, I don't recognize any of
- 17:34Speaker 2: those names. Like you got Cogan and Carol Alt, the
- 17:38Speaker 2: rest of them, I do not know.
- 17:42Speaker 4: They all quit Hollywood after this show. You know what
- 17:45Speaker 4: we're good, We're going to go back to our hometown.
- 17:48Speaker 4: The office managers were.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I bet it was at that point Jacqueleman disown Chris.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Is that his kid.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Picture? Leomon looks just like his dad?
- 18:07Speaker 3: This is my new kid.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Wow.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, So I will say I don't ever recall watching
- 18:17Speaker 2: that Thunder and Paradise show.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I think I looked at it for a few minutes
- 18:21Speaker 3: just out of curiosity and thought.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Wow, this is bad. So did the world.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I don't know how many Yeah, I don't know how
- 18:29Speaker 2: many seasons it was on, but I mean it, I
- 18:31Speaker 2: mean it beached itself on television.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Yes, I remember that, especially in the nineties when Fox
- 18:39Speaker 1: was somewhat of a fledgling network.
- 18:41Speaker 5: They put on a lot of shit.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I mean they you know, they had Married with Children
- 18:46Speaker 1: and the Simpsons and.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the Big three when Fox started out
- 18:56Speaker 2: that I remember. The first one was obviously the Simpsons
- 18:59Speaker 2: had been married with children. First married with children, well,
- 19:04Speaker 2: it was the Tracy Almond Show. That's where the Simpsons started, right,
- 19:08Speaker 2: So it was married with Children Tracy Almond Show.
- 19:15Speaker 3: In Living Color.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Mm hmm, yeah, but in Living Color didn't start right
- 19:20Speaker 2: at the beginning of Fox TV.
- 19:21Speaker 3: That came a few years after.
- 19:23Speaker 2: But that's really the three shows that I really that
- 19:26Speaker 2: was there.
- 19:27Speaker 5: That was their Sunday night.
- 19:29Speaker 1: They had football and then they had Sunday Night, and
- 19:31Speaker 1: then I can't remember.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah, then you got into the mid late nineties and then.
- 19:42Speaker 3: X Files.
- 19:43Speaker 2: X Files hit Oh yeah, that's right, one of my all.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Time favorite shows.
- 19:47Speaker 2: You want to talk about epic Sunday nights back in
- 19:51Speaker 2: like the year two thousand, it was like ninety nine,
- 19:54Speaker 2: two thousand. So I'd start the night with The Simpsons
- 19:59Speaker 2: and then and then go into X Files and then
- 20:04Speaker 2: in the night watching the Sopranos. That's a Sunday night.
- 20:09Speaker 2: And if you timed it right, you go. You go
- 20:12Speaker 2: ahead a couple of years into like two thousand, two
- 20:14Speaker 2: thousand and one, maybe two thousand and two. Then you
- 20:18Speaker 2: got Simpsons, followed by Family Guy, followed by the X Files,
- 20:23Speaker 2: followed by the Sopranos.
- 20:24Speaker 4: M god well, Family Guy was canceled after they're like
- 20:30Speaker 4: first season.
- 20:32Speaker 2: It was like the first it was like the first
- 20:33Speaker 2: couple seasons something like that. But then they went to
- 20:35Speaker 2: Comedy Central and then they got brought back to Fox
- 20:38Speaker 2: and then that was the whole thing.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Anyway.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Anyways, the point is that Raj had someone in his
- 20:47Speaker 2: house and he is oh, he is upset.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Uh.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Anyway, the point is Sunday Nights on Fox slapped uh
- 20:54Speaker 2: in the year I think, Like I said, I think
- 20:55Speaker 2: it was the year two thousand and two thousand and one.
- 20:57Speaker 4: It was good.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah, there was one other thing I was gonna be
- 21:01Speaker 2: to hang on.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Let me pull this pow fuck twenty one Jump Street.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Oh was that on Fox?
- 21:08Speaker 3: I thought that was syndicated. Also, that was back when
- 21:11Speaker 3: Fox was on UHF.
- 21:13Speaker 1: No, that says Fox was a It was one of
- 21:16Speaker 1: the I just looked it up as one of the
- 21:17Speaker 1: original Fox shows.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Okay, but didn't Fox pass on Sopranos? And it went
- 21:24Speaker 4: to everybody?
- 21:25Speaker 3: Everybody?
- 21:26Speaker 4: Nobody passed, right? Yeah?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Everyone also like it's it's amazing how there's there are
- 21:33Speaker 2: executives in this country that get paid lots of money
- 21:36Speaker 2: to make big decisions and they whiff way more than
- 21:41Speaker 2: they hit a great example of that is the Sopranos
- 21:44Speaker 2: that was shopped around to every network and eventually landed
- 21:46Speaker 2: on HBO and it went crazy. The Walking Dead, same
- 21:50Speaker 2: thing shopped around to every network, they all said no,
- 21:53Speaker 2: ended up on AMC, and it helped build AMC. All
- 21:57Speaker 2: these examples of shows, movies, radio shows where executives said
- 22:03Speaker 2: no to and then someone else picked it up and
- 22:05Speaker 2: then it blew up.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean, honestly, the Sopranos would have I
- 22:09Speaker 1: don't I bet the Sopranos doesn't last a season on
- 22:11Speaker 1: network TV.
- 22:12Speaker 5: It may know, there's no way you can't cuss.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I mean, all all the stuff they could do on HBO,
- 22:17Speaker 1: never it would have even gotten close, especially at that
- 22:20Speaker 1: time with the FCC.
- 22:21Speaker 5: So that's why I.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Think they were trying to piggyback off of NYPD Blue
- 22:25Speaker 4: because they got kind of like they got away with
- 22:27Speaker 4: a lot of stuff, and so I think they were
- 22:30Speaker 4: trying to go with that same time slant, so where
- 22:32Speaker 4: they can get away with a little bit of cussing,
- 22:34Speaker 4: a little bit of the nudity or whatever. But everybody
- 22:37Speaker 4: passed on it, and HBO's like, yeah, that big nudity
- 22:40Speaker 4: like Dennis Franz.
- 22:41Speaker 2: But yes, the problem with NYPD Blue wasn't because they
- 22:45Speaker 2: had the revolving partner door opposite of Dennis France. It
- 22:48Speaker 2: is because they had nudity, But it was the nudity
- 22:51Speaker 2: you didn't want.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Yes, it's the nudity Dennis Friends didn't want. Yeah, he
- 22:59Speaker 4: was like, you want what? Okay? You I would like
- 23:04Speaker 4: that table read like my ass.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Meanwhile, Jimmy Smith is in the corner.
- 23:11Speaker 2: You sure.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Ricky Schroeder's like, uh, I mean solid one.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Well, that was the thing that actually became that actually
- 23:19Speaker 2: kind of became the running joke on that show. I
- 23:22Speaker 2: think it was David Caruso who showed his ass first,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and then Dennis France I think was second, and then
- 23:29Speaker 2: that became the trend when you started on NYPD Blue
- 23:33Speaker 2: you had to show your butt. I Ricky Schroeder, I'm
- 23:37Speaker 2: almost positive dead.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Sorry rick Schroeder at the time.
- 23:40Speaker 2: And then I think I think Jimmy Smith's may have
- 23:44Speaker 2: as well.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And Dan, you'll continue the tradition and uh top gun, Treehouse.
- 23:53Speaker 4: British top gun, try Royal Air Force.

- 26:23Speaker 2: here we go, let's see how many bad puns we
- 26:25Speaker 2: can use in this next story. There's a there's a
- 26:30Speaker 2: shortage of male porn stars. I repeat, there's a shortage
- 26:38Speaker 2: of male porn stars. According to this article by Melissa Todd.
- 26:45Speaker 2: She says that there are a lack of men in porn,
- 26:49Speaker 2: and it's an actual problem because while you might think
- 26:54Speaker 2: guys would be lining up to work in porn and
- 26:57Speaker 2: be able to, you know, have sex with some of
- 27:00Speaker 2: the most beautiful and talented adult stars on the planet
- 27:05Speaker 2: for money or career and fame, it's.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Harder than you might think.
- 27:11Speaker 5: There's one, they just don't last long.
- 27:16Speaker 2: There's two they just come and go that's three. Look,
- 27:22Speaker 2: it's a hard job. Not everyone can do it or her.
- 27:29Speaker 2: They do say, though, that there are some interesting qualifications
- 27:32Speaker 2: that you have to have, some things that most of
- 27:34Speaker 2: us men may not think about until it's actually time.
- 27:37Speaker 5: To most men fall short of.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yes, there are expectations most men fall short of when
- 27:43Speaker 2: it comes to trying to make it in the porn industry. Apparently,
- 27:47Speaker 2: porn producers regularly hold auditions for new male performers, which
- 27:52Speaker 2: they even advertise on social media. Auditions consist of their
- 27:55Speaker 2: turning up and having sex with the women of their dreams,
- 27:58Speaker 2: but generally no no one shows up. The reason is
- 28:02Speaker 2: a bit of a mystery. It's been a regular mystery
- 28:07Speaker 2: over the last decade. Maybe men feel their identity and
- 28:12Speaker 2: self esteem is more closely tied to their sexual performance
- 28:15Speaker 2: than women. Maybe porn being blamed for every societal ill
- 28:19Speaker 2: is also a factor. Men don't care about that stop
- 28:22Speaker 2: that we know young people are becoming increasingly puritanical and
- 28:26Speaker 2: having less sex than previous generations. Also a wild misconception,
- 28:31Speaker 2: I think on the part of miss Todd here it's basically,
- 28:34Speaker 2: and she gets into it later in the article, it
- 28:36Speaker 2: has everything to do with insecurity and having to be
- 28:42Speaker 2: able to perform on cue because as a guy, if
- 28:50Speaker 2: you decide, you know what I'm gonna do porn. I
- 28:53Speaker 2: got a big weenie. Well, okay, what about the rest
- 28:55Speaker 2: of you, because I mean, you can have big weenie.
- 29:00Speaker 2: But then a lot of these guys are they're ripped,
- 29:02Speaker 2: they're on steroids, they got six packs, they look like
- 29:04Speaker 2: body builders with that are that are lifting their own
- 29:06Speaker 2: dongs for weight kind of a thing.
- 29:08Speaker 4: And then you had Ron Jeremy.
- 29:11Speaker 3: It's the exception.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the idea of when you show up
- 29:17Speaker 2: you have to then perform in front of a room
- 29:20Speaker 2: full of strangers, including sometimes a director saying now come.
- 29:26Speaker 2: It's like, oh now, oh.
- 29:29Speaker 4: It's And they get paid less than women. It's the
- 29:31Speaker 4: only industry where they get paid less than women.
- 29:33Speaker 5: But they get paid a lot more than they used to.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's fifteen one hundred percent, is what you. So.
- 29:40Speaker 4: I lived in the valley in uh La, that's where
- 29:43Speaker 4: all the porn is filmed, and there was a place
- 29:46Speaker 4: called Elteredo and that's where all the porn stars hung
- 29:48Speaker 4: out at happy hour every single day. I didn't know
- 29:52Speaker 4: this until I was sitting with a buddy of mine
- 29:53Speaker 4: and he goes, dude, that's so and so, and I'm like,
- 29:55Speaker 4: what is that and he's like, porn star. I was like,
- 29:58Speaker 4: so just started you know, I'm me, I have the
- 30:01Speaker 4: gift of gap, and just started chatting with those guys.
- 30:04Speaker 4: And it was so. This was two thousand and seventeen
- 30:09Speaker 4: and they were making fifteen to eighteen hundred per scene
- 30:13Speaker 4: and the women were making three to four times that.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Yeah, she goes on to say in her article, surrounded
- 30:21Speaker 2: by actors, camera crew, producer, wardrobe, makeup artist and now
- 30:25Speaker 2: usually a female director barking, now get a direction the
- 30:30Speaker 2: new performer. The new guy will often find himself incapable
- 30:34Speaker 2: and humiliated, and if he manages to pass that test,
- 30:36Speaker 2: he'll find himself expected the orgasm to order at the
- 30:40Speaker 2: time and place of the director's choosing, at which juncture
- 30:42Speaker 2: he will generally run away screaming. They do say there
- 30:46Speaker 2: are tricks that they can substitute other substances for the organism,
- 30:52Speaker 2: so they have tricks of the trade, kind of like
- 30:53Speaker 2: you like movie tricks. Meanwhile, the female porn stars have
- 30:57Speaker 2: it way easier. She says, we can so easily fake
- 31:00Speaker 2: every stage of arousal, good scored of blube, healthy dose
- 31:02Speaker 2: of pantings, eyeing, noisy, screaming. But then they can also
- 31:05Speaker 2: wear corsets to hide bellies, stockings to disguise cell you like,
- 31:09Speaker 2: men have no tricks to hide behind. One Japanese porn
- 31:12Speaker 2: actor claimed recently there are around seventy men to ten
- 31:15Speaker 2: thousand women in his industry. He's had sex with eight
- 31:19Speaker 2: thousand of them, usually two to three a day, so
- 31:21Speaker 2: heaven knows he's doing his part, but he can't keep
- 31:23Speaker 2: that up forever. Men who can perform in porn are
- 31:27Speaker 2: so rare, in fact, particularly young men, that they are
- 31:31Speaker 2: quite overwhelmed with women and work.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Sounds like it's time for me to pick up a
- 31:37Speaker 3: side hustle.
- 31:39Speaker 5: Well, isn't.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Also one of the things is that now because as
- 31:44Speaker 1: much as we think of OnlyFans for women, but there
- 31:47Speaker 1: are a lot of men doing OnlyFans and that that's
- 31:51Speaker 1: actually taking away because they're making more money doing that
- 31:54Speaker 1: than they would shooting.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Pol Sure, and then what you know, would you rather
- 31:58Speaker 2: be you know, subject to the porn studio heads or
- 32:02Speaker 2: would you want to be your own boss?
- 32:06Speaker 4: And can I a I myself into porn?
- 32:11Speaker 3: I mean I'm sure you could.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna go by j Mahal, the eighth Wonder
- 32:20Speaker 4: of the World.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Yeah you are. And since it's a I, you can
- 32:28Speaker 3: have the body of.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Your dreams exactly or of theirs.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it could be whatever they want.
- 32:34Speaker 2: It's like, okay, it's time for you and Mahall choose
- 32:38Speaker 2: your body type.
- 32:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna be the mister potato head of porn.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Rash. I have bad news for you.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Oh no, there's somebody named Mahall's a gay porn star
- 32:49Speaker 1: that's already named goes By.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Oh so you guys found out now I've been trying
- 32:59Speaker 4: to hide it from a while. Man.
- 33:02Speaker 2: So now my mister potato head looks a little weird.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Oh is the Indian? Oh?
- 33:14Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 33:15Speaker 2: That would be next level of appropriation.
- 33:20Speaker 4: No, I gotta find this guy. I'm gonna find his.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Parents behind the hospital that he moonlights at.
- 33:29Speaker 4: He really is okay, yeah, his parents. I know student
- 33:36Speaker 4: loans are tough, but what happened in med school.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I still think you can fulfill this dream. We just
- 33:45Speaker 2: gotta find you a different name, that's all.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 33:47Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of what it could be now.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Raj Mahall is solid like that. Somebody, even a comedy
- 33:53Speaker 4: club owner one time, told me to go buy that
- 33:55Speaker 4: and come out dressed like uh the genie in Aladdin.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Oh uh, and they would like have a flying carpet
- 34:02Speaker 4: and yeah you know this comedy club owner.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Oh I figured out who it was.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Tracks, Yeah, it tracks very much.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 4: So we have to find we have to find porn
- 34:18Speaker 4: star names now for everybody here.
- 34:21Speaker 2: No, I think Jerry's just gonna be Jerry. He's but
- 34:25Speaker 2: he's gonna be like Madonna. It's just gonna be his
- 34:28Speaker 2: one name, Jerry.
- 34:30Speaker 4: I like it, okay. And then Trey, what what would
- 34:34Speaker 4: your porn star name be?
- 34:37Speaker 10: Daisy does a lot of work with Roger Mahal, solid work, too,
- 34:50Speaker 10: huge tongue.
- 34:59Speaker 3: We're all things Treehouse.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Go to Treehouse on Air, dot com, find and follow
- 35:03Speaker 2: the show on social media at Treehouse on Air. For me,
- 35:06Speaker 2: it's at the Daniel Mallley. For Trey, it's at Trey
- 35:08Speaker 2: Turnholme one. For Raj at comedian Raj TBD new porn name.
- 35:15Speaker 3: And for Jerry at that Jerry guy.
- 35:17Speaker 2: We will see you next time right here inside the Treehouse. Oh,
- 35:24Speaker 2: Trey killed the music. I forgot again.
- 35:26Speaker 4: My bad.
- 35:27Speaker 2: All right, hang on, I gotta do this. Oh everyone's
- 35:30Speaker 2: gonna get mad at me if I don't do this
- 35:32Speaker 2: in the free show. So give me one second. I
- 35:36Speaker 2: promised i'd have it in the show, and of course
- 35:37Speaker 2: I forgot. So now I'll pull it up and here
