  Speaker 1: that serves. John thirteen fourteen says, now that I, your

  Speaker 1: Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also should

  Speaker 1: wash one another's feet. You know, on Thursday of Holy Week,

  Speaker 1: often called Monday Thursday, we're giving one of the most
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: powerful and humbling pictures of love ever demonstrated. Jesus Christ,
• 0:30
  Speaker 1: the King of Kings, the Lord of lords, took a towel,
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: wrapped it around his waist, knelt down, and began to
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: wash the feet of the disciples. In that culture, washing
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: feet wasn't a symbolic act. It was the job of
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: the lowest servant in the house. It was messy, uncomfortable,
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: and unnoticed work. Yet Jesus chose to do it. And

  Speaker 1: what makes this moment even more powerful is not just
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: what he did, but when he did it. He did
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: it knowing the cross was just hours away. He did
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: it knowing one of them would betray him he did,

  Speaker 1: and knowing another would deny him he did, and knowing
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: the rest would scatter in fear. Yet he still served
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: them all. This is a different kind of love, y'all,

  Speaker 1: that is unconditional love. It's easy to love people when
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: they treat us right. It's easy to be kind when
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: kindness is returned. But Jesus shows us a higher standard,
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: a love that serves even when it's not deserved, even
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: when it's not reciprocated, even when it's inconvenient. Through this moment,

  Speaker 1: God is teaching us that true greatness isn't found in
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: being served. It's found in serving others. It's not about titles,

  Speaker 1: it's not about recognition, it's not about applause. It's about humility.

  Speaker 1: It's about compassion. It's about choosing to put others before yourself.

  Speaker 1: We live in a world that constantly tells us to

  Speaker 1: look out yourself, to protect your image, to climb higher,

  Speaker 1: learn how to serve. He models a life surrendered, So

  Speaker 1: the question becomes what does that look like for us today?

  Speaker 1: It may not be washing someone's feet, but it could

  Speaker 1: be offering forgiveness when it's hard. It could be showing
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: kindness to someone who's hurt you. It could be present
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: for someone who feels overlooked. It could be choosing patience
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: when you're frustrated. Who in your life needs that kind
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: of love today? Who needs grace instead of judgment, Who
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: needs kindness instead of criticism, service instead of silence. When
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: you choose to love like Jesus, you become a reflection
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: of him and the earth. You become the hands and
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: the feet of Jesus Christ to a world that desperately
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: needs to see what real love looks like. This Holy Week,
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: let the love you have go beyond words. Let it

  Speaker 1: show up in your actions. Let it be seen in

  Speaker 1: how you treat people, Let it be felt, and how
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: you serve. Because love that serves doesn't just impact others,

  Speaker 1: it transforms you. Oh Father God, thank you for the
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: powerful example of Jesus Christ in his servant's heart. Teach
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: us to love beyond words and serve with humility. Help
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: us to extend grace even when it's difficult, and to
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: put others before ourselves. Let our lives reflect your love
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: and everything we do. Use us God to be a
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: blessing and make a difference in someone else's life today.
