is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good

So Isaiah is telling people that the.

Spirit of God is. On him, because the Lord

anointed him so the. The Lord.

Gave this to him and there's a reason here to proclaim good

news to the. Poor.

I don't know if this is just literally poor, but I also.

Believe that it's spiritually poor those who are.

Have all sorts of things that are happening in their.

Lives so it. He continues on.

He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim

freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the

prisoners to proclaim the year. Of the Lord's favor.

And the day of vengeance of our Lord.

So I want to stop there for a minute because there's two

things that happen. It says to.

Proclaim the year of the. Lord's favor.

That's a good thing. And the day of vengeance of our

God. So there's two things.

There's favor and vengeance. And that's what's going to

happen when Jesus returns again. Jesus is referenced in here,

maybe not by name, but by what will happen so at the time of

the return of Jesus. There will be both favour.

And vengeance. There's more description about

this coming up to comfort all who mourn and to.

Provide for those who grieve. In Zion, to bestow on them a

crown of beauty instead of ashes, the.

Oil of. Joy instead of mourning, and a

garment of praise instead. Of a spirit of despair.

So God is turning, and when Jesus returns, all these things

will be turned around. There will be a crown of beauty,

the oil. Of joy.

A garment of play, praise, and then it says.

They will be called Oaks. Of righteousness, a planting.

Of the Lord for. The display of his splendor.

So seems to me there is a purpose in all of this.

The people that God uses. Are going to.

Be a display of. His splendor, the righteous

ones, a planting of the Lord people.

Don't get to be righteous. On their own, I guess you can

make a decision to do that. But because of our sin nature,

we're not righteous in every way.

We're not perfect. And the Holy Spirit.

Is what does that to. To people and changes people

changes them from sinful. Ways to holy ways.

And God says be holy because I am holy.

Anyway, there's a purpose behind it and it's to display the

splendor of God. They will rebuild.

The ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated.

They will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated

for generations. This sounds to me like it'll.

Will shepherd your. Flocks, foreigners will work

your fields and vineyards. Again, I don't think this is

happening right now, but I think this is what is happening when

everything are serving Israel right now and calling Israel.

happening in history. I think it's something coming up

in the future and when we read. About priest of the Lord.

There's references to that in Scripture, and most of them are

in the Book of Revelation. So unless a person reads the New

So that's why the whole. Bible is so important, but I'm

peoples on earth will mourn because of him.

priest to serve our God and they will reign on the earth.

Then, I saw a Lamb looking as if it had been slain.

That's Jesus. His death on the cross was where

he was slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled

by the four living creatures and the elders.

The Lamb had 7 horns and seven eyes, which are the seven

spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

So those are all symbolic. Like.

Jesus horns are usually power, and seven is usually the number

of completions. So he has perfect power.

The seven eyes are the seven spirits of God sent out into all

the earth. We see a glimpse of that through

another prophet. Where he saw.

He makes the connection between horses and spirits and and

something. About like the horses.

Are then talked about churning the waters, and they are the

spirits and the horses are going.

About the Earth to to. Find the world at peace and rest

and. So there are other prophets.

The. Spirits, I also wonder, like the

seven. Seals that are talked about.

There are riders on horses and I believe those riders on horses

are. Actually spiritual.

Things and the horses are. Spirits that go about.

On the earth and that's. What Jesus is.

In authority of all them. So he is.

When he's breaking these seals, he's releasing these spirits.

To go about the earth. And I think that's what's

happening in the world. So let's go back to Revelation

chapter 5, verse seven. He went and took the scroll from

the right hand of him who sat on the throne, and when he had it,

the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before

the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they

were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the.

Prayers of God's people. So that's something else like.

This this book, if we read it slowly, it.

Tells us what things are. So the bowls of incense are

actually. Prayers of God's people.

So incense is symbolic. For the prayers.

Of God's people it's telling us right here the symbolism in

Revelation verse chapter 5, verse 9 and they sang a new song

language and people and nation. So this is giving that to Jesus,

And so there's a lot of interpretations, obviously, but

in the Book of Revelation, it certainly sounds to me like this

is, you know, there's this scroll mentioned multiple times

There's also a scroll that's. Like flying about the land.

I think that might be Zechariah. And on one side, it was

blessings. And the other side curses.

Which it kind of makes sense that just, you know, when we

talk about God's favor and also his vengeance.

So those who? Are if you want to call it right

with God or who have a good. Relationship with God this is

going to be a time of favor, but those who are in a bad

relationship with God, this is the time of God's vengeance when

this happens. So that's and the scroll has

been sealed up, like Daniel said, you know, wait now.

Because the soul, the scroll has been sealed up.

It's. Being opened by the Lamb.

Jesus is opening. Jesus is allowing these.

He's the one that's causing these 7 seals to be opened up

Are the spirits. Of God that stand before God and

they are going out through the earth looking to see what's

going on through the eyes of God and they are bringing about

About the souls of those. Who had been beheaded because of

their testimony about Jesus and. Because of the word of.

God, They had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not

received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.

They came to life and reigned with Christ. 1000 years, then

Dead did not come to life until the 1000 years were ended.

This is the first resurrection, blessed and holy.

Word of God, so there are. People and that's happening

today, actually. Christians are being beheaded in

different countries and a lot of people don't.

I can't believe that there's not a lot more talking about this or

outrage against this happening. It's very interesting because so

much of the focus is on Israel and, and what's happening in

Gaza, but not in these other countries where people are being

beheaded. I, it's just, you know, for no

other reason than they are Christians.

And, and there's not a lot of discussion about it or outrage

or, you know, armies being sent in to stop.

This. I mean, it's just.

Very strange that this is all happening and and what's

happening in Israel. You know there is, there's a.

Cause and effect. There there was, there are

currently. Hostages.

Of people that were taken. Two years ago.

Almost two years ago, on October 7th, 2023, people were brutally

murdered. I mean, and this is still not

over yet and there's still not these people aren't released, I

mean. Half of.

The people that are remained hostage are presumed because of

certain evidence, I guess, presumed to be dead right now.

So not even all of them are even alive and and yet I mean it's.

Just so this this. Time that we're living in is

really very concerning about where people are, where morality

is. There's, there's just a lot.

But thankfully. We have the words of the prophet

Isaiah that tells us that. This is going to change one day

and things will be different. And even if people are being

beheaded, they are going to come to life when Jesus returns and

they are going to reign with Christ and they will not have to

worry about a second death because that has no power on

over them, but they will be. Priests of.

God and Christ and will reign with him for 1000 years.

So God will take things. That are that are bad.

And turn them to good. And that's God's promise.

And God keeps his promise. So let's continue back into the

book of Isaiah. Let's read.

About Strangers will shepherd your flocks.

Foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

And you? Will be called priest of the

shame. You will receive a double

portion or double blessing instead of.

Disgrace you will rejoice in. Your inheritance.

All the people. Who are the children of God will

receive inheritance. If people are born again, they

are considered a new creation. They are a son.

Or daughter of God. And so you will inherit.

A double. Portion in your land and

everlasting joy will be. Yours everlasting.

That's forever. That's eternal, everlasting joy.

Will be yours, for I, the Lord, love justice.

I hate robbery. And wrongdoing in my

faithfulness, I will reward my people and make an everlasting

covenant with them. Their descendants will be known

among the nations, and their offspring among the.

Peoples, all who see. Them will acknowledge that they

are a people. The Lord has blessed.

So God's going to do something really significant with.

The people that he blesses, I delight.

Greatly in the Lord my. Soul rejoices.

In my God, for he has clothed me with garments of salvation.

We can't get away from what brings salvation, that is Jesus.

So he has clothed me with garments of salvation.

It's because of Jesus that we will.

Inherit that we have the possibility of inheriting the

Kingdom. Of God with Jesus as his, He

would be our brother. And we would be his.

He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a

robe of His righteousness. We receive righteousness when

bride adorns herself with her jewels.

the bride her chamber. Where the bride is like

protected. And there's going to be a union

of the two, and that's what Joel is talking about.

So now we'll get to the New Testament.

Where Jesus talks about this. Too, in Matthew Chapter 9 verse

15, Jesus answered how can the guest of the bridegroom mourn

while he is with them? The time will come when the

bridegroom will be taken from them.

Then they will fast. So this is Jesus.

Referencing about him and his disciples and referring to

himself as the bridegroom in Matthew 25 verse one it says at

that time the Kingdom of heaven will.

Be like. 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet

a comparison of the Kingdom of heaven, and it's going to be

like 10 virgins who took their lamps, the anointing of the oil,

and went out to meet the bridegroom when Jesus returns.

So Matthew 25, verse 5, the bridegroom was a long time in

coming. Well, it's been a couple

thousand years since Jesus's death on the cross.

That's a long time in coming. And they all became drowsy and

fell asleep. People are not unnecessarily

keeping their eyes open, watching.

They aren't dedicated to God. They've fallen asleep and this

is the. State of where we are.

Today Matthew 25 verse. 6. At midnight the cry rang out.

Here's the bridegroom come out to meet him.

And then in verse 10 it says. But.

While they were on their way to buy oil, this, these are the 10

virgins. Like half of them had oil and

the other half didn't. So half of them were prepared,

the other half weren't and they had to go and figure things out.

That's where we don't want to be at the point of, oh, I need to

figure things out with God. Because here's Jesus, that's a

little bit too. Late.

And that's what this. Shows us too.

While they were on their way. To buy the.

Oil, the bridegroom arrived, the virgins who were ready went in

with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.

So that's like half the people think about that.

If you're in church, 50% of those people.

The foolish ones took their lamps, but they did not take any

anointing of the Holy Spirit. You aren't born again.

The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

They were prepared. The bridegroom was a long time

in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

No, they replied, There may not be enough.

Us and you instead. Go to those who sell.

Oil and buy some for yourselves. But while they were on their.

Way to buy the oil? The Bridegroom.

Arrived the virgins who were. Ready went in with him to the
