- 0:00Speaker 1: There are some new, uh, things in the merch shop.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I want to let you know about, we got the, uh,
- 0:06Speaker 1: tour merch. If you were unable to come to one
- 0:09Speaker 1: of the cities, if you were unable to grab a
- 0:12Speaker 1: piece of tour merch, then you want to get something. Um,
- 0:15Speaker 1: we've put whatever we have remaining, uh, there online. We
- 0:19Speaker 1: also have some, uh, new, um, Bobby, uh, teas that
- 0:23Speaker 1: have been restocked and we've got hoodies coming on those, uh,
- 0:27Speaker 1: some camo gang hitter hunt club, a lot of, uh,
- 0:30Speaker 1: new items in there. And, um, and thank you so much.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Some people are getting, um, gifts for their friends or
- 0:38Speaker 1: family for Christmas. So thank you for letting us be
- 0:41Speaker 1: a part of your holidays. And thanks for supporting the show.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Theo von store.com. Uh, thank you guys. Today's guest is
- 0:49Speaker 1: a comedian. He's an actor. He's a podcaster. You know
- 0:53Speaker 1: him from whiskey ginger and bad friends. He has a
- 0:58Speaker 1: new special, White Noise, that's out on Hulu right now.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Today's guest is my friend, Mr. Andrew Santino.
- 1:24Speaker 2: What's up?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Good to see you, man.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Great to see you, bro. So good to see you.
- 1:28Speaker 2: How are you feeling?
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm feeling good, man. I'm feeling good, dude. What's going on?
- 1:33Speaker 1: I don't have to tour anymore. You're done.
- 1:36Speaker 2: For how long?
- 1:37Speaker 1: We might have to re-tape my special.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You want to talk about it on the show? Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm curious as fuck.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Are you?
- 1:44Speaker 2: Big time.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm totally okay talking about it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to know.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you want to know?
- 1:52Speaker 2: All I saw was what I saw on the internet.
- 1:55Speaker 2: of the taping and then I texted you and I
- 1:57Speaker 2: was like, how are you, are you good, what's going on?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Because the internet likes to drum up nonsense. And you
- 2:03Speaker 2: texted me some love back and I just want to
- 2:06Speaker 2: know how it went or what was the deal, like
- 2:07Speaker 2: what was going.
- 2:08Speaker 1: On, you know? Yeah, I mean, well, when we left
- 2:11Speaker 1: out of there that night, we thought like it went
- 2:13Speaker 1: pretty good.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You felt good after it.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I felt, I was like, I don't know if
- 2:17Speaker 1: we got it because there was definitely some hangups. It
- 2:19Speaker 1: was like, I mean, there was a lot of stress
- 2:21Speaker 1: like going into it, you know? And I don't know
- 2:24Speaker 1: if I want to go super down that road, but
- 2:26Speaker 1: like there had been, I switched off my medicine because
- 2:29Speaker 1: I wanted to have a little bit more emotional, like
- 2:31Speaker 1: a storyline. I wanted to be able to like kind
- 2:33Speaker 1: of connect a little bit more in some moments. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: I was having trouble having any feelings because of antidepressants.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It was just hard. It's like you try to get
- 2:44Speaker 1: a feeling and it kind of stalls at it, like
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's stuck in the mud, you know? So that was
- 2:50Speaker 1: kind of one thing. And then the government put out
- 2:53Speaker 1: this DHS video that made me really scared.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The immigration video?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Talk about pulling that out of context. They're so good
- 3:00Speaker 2: at that. They just took something that had nothing to
- 3:02Speaker 2: do with something else, you making a joke, and then
- 3:03Speaker 2: they're like, he's our spokesperson. You're like, what? I didn't
- 3:08Speaker 2: sign up for that.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Bro, and so I just got so much hate stuff.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I mean, a lot of it I didn't see, but
- 3:13Speaker 1: I would just see enough where it was like, fuck,
- 3:15Speaker 1: this is scary. And that Charlie Kirk thing had happened,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I think a couple weeks before, And so I started
- 3:21Speaker 1: just getting real paranoid, you know, I started getting real
- 3:23Speaker 1: paranoid at home. I was paranoid about the show. Like
- 3:26Speaker 1: if there could be somebody in the audience, you know, like,
- 3:29Speaker 1: it just like, I think it made me really scared
- 3:32Speaker 1: to be honest with you. And, um, yeah, so that
- 3:36Speaker 1: was happening. And then, uh, there was just kind of
- 3:39Speaker 1: too many cooks in the kitchen on this set. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: then during it, um, yeah, I was just like, I
- 3:47Speaker 1: think my, uh, Like I just had too much. It
- 3:51Speaker 1: was just, it was all kind of too much to,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I think, get the show off as best as I could.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And so that's all I left there thinking. Like I
- 4:00Speaker 1: couldn't remember where the next joke kind of went.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, sure. Cause it's overwhelming. Yeah. I think people don't
- 4:05Speaker 2: know that. I think I've said that a hundred times
- 4:07Speaker 2: is like, I always quote Dan Soder. Soder always goes
- 4:11Speaker 2: like when someone says, oh, I didn't like, I like
- 4:14Speaker 2: Theo more this way than the special or whatever, or that,
- 4:17Speaker 2: But it's because with this, you're getting it straight from
- 4:19Speaker 2: the tap. He's like, you're drinking out of the hose
- 4:22Speaker 2: like you're a kid. This is drinking out of the
- 4:23Speaker 2: hose in podcast world and internet world.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And live stand-up.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah. When you do a taped special, there's so many
- 4:30Speaker 2: more elements that go into it that people have no idea. Dude,
- 4:33Speaker 2: I was changing. When I taped this last one I
- 4:35Speaker 2: did for Hulu.
- 4:36Speaker 1: White Noise, yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 2: White Noise. I changed 10 different things on the second-to-last show.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Because I was tripping. I was freaking out. I mean,
- 4:46Speaker 2: Zach Townsend, who's a great comic who opens for me.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You know Zach from Nashville? Yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He's great.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And Zach was helping me kind of rewrite some stuff
- 4:52Speaker 2: to like tighten it up and cut the fat. Because
- 4:54Speaker 2: I was bummed about a few of the jokes that
- 4:56Speaker 2: I told that didn't hit the way they did when
- 4:57Speaker 2: I was touring. And then it gets in your head.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And then I'm sitting backstage kind of having, you know,
- 5:01Speaker 2: this moment of like, do I just not do that joke?
- 5:04Speaker 2: He was like, no, that's a great joke. But I
- 5:06Speaker 2: think it's hard to get that confidence back when you
- 5:08Speaker 2: feel overwhelmed. They don't really feel it as much as
- 5:10Speaker 2: you do.
- 5:11Speaker 1: No, they don't know. And there should be a meter.
- 5:13Speaker 1: that they see that lets.
- 5:15Speaker 2: You know how I feel about this shit right now.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And it's just jumping up and down there. And they
- 5:20Speaker 2: can honestly, they can tell you're like, look, I'm feeling,
- 5:22Speaker 2: this is like a four and a half right now.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It was a six in Des Moines, but now I
- 5:27Speaker 2: don't know.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That's the worst when you get in your head about it.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Cause after the first one, you're like, now what do
- 5:32Speaker 1: I change? Anytime you get to like the, you're standing
- 5:34Speaker 1: at the finish line kind of, and you're like, what
- 5:36Speaker 1: do I adjust? But you've been around the whole track
- 5:38Speaker 1: with all these jokes. Oh, dude.
- 5:41Speaker 3: It's hard.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You know what?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Sometimes it feels like, especially when a joke you think
- 5:43Speaker 2: was really good. You know how some NFL players get
- 5:45Speaker 2: in trouble because they drop the ball before they cross
- 5:48Speaker 2: the goal line? I feel like I was doing that
- 5:50Speaker 2: a little bit because I wasn't committing to the joke
- 5:52Speaker 2: because I was unsure of the way that a tag
- 5:55Speaker 2: came in or the punchline snapped. And then so I
- 5:58Speaker 2: started to doubt myself. But that's so natural because TV
- 6:03Speaker 2: cameras are up. So your brain does a thing that
- 6:05Speaker 2: it doesn't do live. Live, You fly so free. It
- 6:08Speaker 2: doesn't matter. You know what I mean? That's me, yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 2: dropping the ball before I get in the end zone.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But I did it on like two or three jokes.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And then the last taping, Zach kind of reinstilled some
- 6:15Speaker 2: confidence in me and was like, dude, just cut it out.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That was nice of him to say that.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he helped me out a lot. He helped me
- 6:21Speaker 2: out a lot. I think if you don't have people
- 6:23Speaker 2: with you in your team of whether it's features or
- 6:26Speaker 2: hosts or friends or producers or directors or whoever to
- 6:29Speaker 2: kind of give you that extra, dude, you're good. You're good.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It gets hard. And sometimes there's too many cooks. Sometimes
- 6:35Speaker 2: you're like, I know how to make this meal, man.
- 6:37Speaker 2: You got to leave me alone. Yeah. But when you
- 6:38Speaker 2: need it, you need it. I think the more open
- 6:41Speaker 2: we are to the audiences about that, the better off
- 6:43Speaker 2: it is because the criticism is higher than it's ever
- 6:44Speaker 2: been for specials and for live taping for tapings. I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and I think when you come clean about what it is,
- 6:50Speaker 2: what affected you and the reality of it, the more
- 6:53Speaker 2: loving they get around it, because this is a, it's a,
- 6:57Speaker 2: it's just a difficult task to film something. You're trying
- 6:59Speaker 2: to capture lightning in a bottle. And the greats do
- 7:02Speaker 2: it often because they're the, the reason that Louie does
- 7:04Speaker 2: it so well is because Louie's the, in my opinion,
- 7:06Speaker 2: the greatest to ever do it. So yeah, he captures
- 7:08Speaker 2: lightning very well. It's really hard. I'm trying, I'm out
- 7:11Speaker 2: there with a kite and the key, but it's tough
- 7:13Speaker 2: to get it, dude. It's really hard. And we do
- 7:16Speaker 2: the best that we can delivering after we've already toured
- 7:19Speaker 2: this thing a ton. And sometimes you over-perfect it. You know,
- 7:23Speaker 2: you want to pinch this and change that and turn
- 7:25Speaker 2: this here and push this in front of this. And
- 7:27Speaker 2: then at some point you have to let it go.
- 7:29Speaker 2: But I was concerned in the fact that I, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you're one of my oldest friends in comedy. And I
- 7:33Speaker 2: just wanted, I wanted you to feel good because I
- 7:37Speaker 2: know how it feels sometimes. When I did my half
- 7:40Speaker 2: hour with Comedy Central, dude, it was my childhood best
- 7:42Speaker 2: friend and my wife, my girlfriend at the time in
- 7:47Speaker 2: the green room. And I got off stage and my
- 7:50Speaker 2: best friend was like, bro. And he came and gave
- 7:52Speaker 2: me the biggest hug. And I go, can you give
- 7:53Speaker 2: me like two minutes in the green room with her?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Is that okay? And he got out and I just
- 7:57Speaker 2: started bawling. I thought I tanked.
- 8:01Speaker 1: No way.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I just felt the pressure and I let it all
- 8:05Speaker 2: go finally.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Oh, dude, now that you say that, I thought my
- 8:07Speaker 1: first special after I did it, I was like, why
- 8:09Speaker 1: did I choose to do it? I thought, let's do
- 8:12Speaker 1: it at home. But people there had never seen comedy,
- 8:15Speaker 1: a lot of them. There was a lot of LSU
- 8:17Speaker 1: Tiger fans. There was some lady yelling defense the whole
- 8:21Speaker 1: fucking show. I'm not even joking, dude.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Cover two, cover two in the middle of your joke.
- 8:25Speaker 2: People had no fucking idea how to act.
- 8:27Speaker 1: People were just yelling shit out like, tell the story.
- 8:31Speaker 1: It was just. And, you know, so that was a
- 8:33Speaker 1: fucking hectic. And I remember getting through that and being like, God,
- 8:37Speaker 1: this is a that was a it was that was hell.
- 8:40Speaker 2: It's hard. But like, I wanted to know you were
- 8:42Speaker 2: good when I hit you because I wanted to know
- 8:44Speaker 2: that everything was OK. And, you know, people have their
- 8:46Speaker 2: own opinions on the Internet of what went down, which
- 8:49Speaker 2: is like that video that circulated of you talking to
- 8:51Speaker 2: the fans after the show.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that was crazy. And I don't even really remember it,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you know?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're running hot at the end of a show.
- 8:58Speaker 2: You're not really paying attention to anything.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I think somebody had kept kind of bothering me a
- 9:02Speaker 1: little bit. I don't want to say bother because people
- 9:04Speaker 1: came to the show, but someone was being aggressive, kept
- 9:06Speaker 1: asking me for something like, will you do this? Can
- 9:09Speaker 1: you do this thing? Can you make me a video?
- 9:11Speaker 1: And I feel like I was like, look, lady, I'm
- 9:14Speaker 1: just trying to take my own life, okay? It's been
- 9:15Speaker 1: a tough couple of months or whatever. You know, that's
- 9:17Speaker 1: the only place I can imagine that I would kind
- 9:19Speaker 1: of say something like that. or if I would just
- 9:21Speaker 1: kind of set it flippantly or something, but I was
- 9:23Speaker 1: trying to think of like what retort, cause it's not
- 9:26Speaker 1: like I was like, Hey guys, it's, I'm just trying
- 9:30Speaker 1: not to take my own life. It's been a cup.
- 9:32Speaker 1: It's been a tough couple of months. It's not like
- 9:33Speaker 1: I was making a speech like that. Somebody, but yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: we left out of there and we thought like, Oh shit,
- 9:39Speaker 1: everything's good. I think we got it. Um, let's wait
- 9:43Speaker 1: and see in the edit. We went out to some
- 9:45Speaker 1: country bar. We had a great time. Uh, Glenny balls
- 9:48Speaker 1: was there. My buddy Aaron was there. Um, And then
- 9:50Speaker 1: we wake up in the morning and there was just
- 9:53Speaker 1: like a ton of shit online. And uh, and I
- 9:57Speaker 1: was like, I just can't even deal with all this.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It made me learn a lot about online. And I
- 10:01Speaker 1: didn't even look at it. Like I didn't even look
- 10:02Speaker 1: at any of that stuff. And I haven't looked at
- 10:04Speaker 1: any of the articles. One of them popped up when
- 10:06Speaker 1: I was scrolling. Um, it was like the Obama's Netflix
- 10:09Speaker 1: or something, which wasn't even true. It was just like, uh,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and there were moments during the show was like, look guys,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm just having a tough time, you know, like I
- 10:18Speaker 1: remember I went out there on stage and my mouth
- 10:20Speaker 1: immediately got extremely dry. And I was like, oh man,
- 10:23Speaker 1: something is wrong.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Anxiety. You're excited and nervous about doing something so important
- 10:28Speaker 2: to you.
- 10:29Speaker 1: That hadn't happened this whole time. And I was like,
- 10:33Speaker 1: I can't go to my stool and get water right now.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I just walked on stage. They're clapping.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I can't fucking take a break already. They're like, didn't
- 10:41Speaker 2: you get water backstage, man? You're like, there's no water
- 10:43Speaker 2: back there, man. We keep it all on the stool.
- 10:45Speaker 2: We don't got it back there, brother. It's only on
- 10:47Speaker 2: the stool.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Like that guy that shits when he gets right to work, dude. Right,
- 10:50Speaker 1: the moment he walks in the door.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I gotta shit right away. That's what it feels. I
- 10:56Speaker 2: think it's an overwhelming feeling that cannot be articulated. I'm
- 10:59Speaker 2: not smart enough to do it, but I do know
- 11:02Speaker 2: what that feels like as a comic. So what are
- 11:03Speaker 2: you going to do now? You feel like you want
- 11:05Speaker 2: to tape again?
- 11:06Speaker 1: I literally, yesterday they just sent me another cut of like,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I gave them some notes on a cut. They're sending
- 11:10Speaker 1: me another cut. It might be fine. So we had
- 11:13Speaker 1: two good halves.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So I'm looking to see, but then also like, there's some,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I just wanted to have a little bit more of
- 11:19Speaker 1: a story to it, which was the reason I was
- 11:22Speaker 1: trying to have a little bit more feeling and emotion.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So I could kind of like have a little bit
- 11:26Speaker 1: more storyline in there, um, about like growing up and
- 11:30Speaker 1: life and a little, you know, and maybe that's me was,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was trying to do too much. I don't know. But, um,
- 11:36Speaker 1: you start to realize that these are kind of, uh,
- 11:39Speaker 1: they're kind of like photo albums for, you know, your time. And, um,
- 11:45Speaker 1: or time you spent with this material. I mean, Neil
- 11:47Speaker 1: Brennan said to me right for the show, he goes,
- 11:49Speaker 1: Hey man, this will be the last time you maybe
- 11:51Speaker 1: ever do this material. So go out and have a
- 11:53Speaker 1: great time with it and enjoy it. You know, take
- 11:56Speaker 1: your time with it. Get the, you know, these are
- 11:59Speaker 1: things that have brought you close to people and that
- 12:01Speaker 1: have brought people out and, and, and hopefully sometimes made
- 12:05Speaker 1: people laugh. And so it was just like, there was
- 12:07Speaker 1: just a lot going on, dude. There was, and I
- 12:10Speaker 1: was just like, there's just, I think I was just
- 12:12Speaker 1: spreading myself too thin.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It's just a lot of shit. And I just don't
- 12:16Speaker 1: know if I landed it as well as I would
- 12:18Speaker 1: have liked to. Um, but we had to restart a
- 12:21Speaker 1: couple of times. There was like a thing where I
- 12:24Speaker 1: was like directing in my head because I wasn't, um,
- 12:28Speaker 1: getting like certain information. I was like, well, if the
- 12:30Speaker 1: stool was here in the first one, does it need
- 12:32Speaker 1: to be there in the second one? And where do
- 12:34Speaker 1: I put it when I move it? Just little things
- 12:35Speaker 1: like that. And then they had like five extra people
- 12:38Speaker 1: that didn't need to be there. It was like they
- 12:40Speaker 1: would radio and it would just go to the person
- 12:42Speaker 1: right next to him. It was like we're living in
- 12:44Speaker 1: a fucking– I almost thought it was a fucking– somebody
- 12:49Speaker 1: was playing a prank on me. And then they– I'd
- 12:53Speaker 1: just gotten a security guy. So there's this fucking guy
- 12:56Speaker 1: who was just fucking– I mean you could put a
- 12:59Speaker 1: piece of coal in his hand in the morning and
- 13:01Speaker 1: you'd have a fucking– Diamond when it comes out. Oh,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you'd have a fucking piece of coal that looked like
- 13:05Speaker 1: it had a grill on it. You know what I'm saying?
- 13:08Speaker 1: At least by the afternoon, like a fucking tough guy.
- 13:12Speaker 1: And he'd been like stopping some of my friends. I
- 13:15Speaker 1: just didn't even, everything was just kind of like a lot.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Where'd you find this guy, by the way? I'm always
- 13:20Speaker 2: fascinated with security guards.
- 13:22Speaker 1: We found a guy, somebody in Nashville set us up
- 13:24Speaker 1: with a guy that was there.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Like a military, ex-military?
- 13:27Speaker 1: I think so. Maybe cop, fire department, FBI, undercover cop.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Local mall security.
- 13:32Speaker 1: High school narc.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm just going to get a guy that did ROTC
- 13:35Speaker 2: in college. I don't even want.
- 13:36Speaker 1: That's what I want. I want a guy that did
- 13:40Speaker 1: ROTC with that wooden gun. And use his test 200.
- 13:43Speaker 1: That's what I want. Yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 2: My college roommate, my freshman year, my buddy Evan, he
- 13:47Speaker 2: did ROTC, and he got kicked out. You know how
- 13:48Speaker 2: hard that is? It's impossible. They need you in there.
- 13:51Speaker 2: They were like, brother, you're not running in the morning.
- 13:53Speaker 2: You're out. You got to go. And he just stood.
- 13:56Speaker 2: He couldn't wake up. He didn't do the exercises, and
- 13:58Speaker 2: they were like, you're out. And we've almost never kicked
- 14:01Speaker 2: anybody out of Arizona State ROTC. It was like... They're
- 14:05Speaker 2: begging for people. Shout out to Ev. The only guy
- 14:08Speaker 2: I know that could get asked to leave ROTC. He
- 14:10Speaker 2: was like, I'm just committed. I was like, I don't
- 14:11Speaker 2: think so. There he is spinning guns.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Well, the crazy is you can tell when an ROTC
- 14:17Speaker 1: guy's in the military because the rest of the guys
- 14:19Speaker 1: are lined up firing at the enemy. And this guy's
- 14:21Speaker 1: just fucking whipping his shit in a circle. Yeah, he's
- 14:24Speaker 1: just fucking flipping his shit and buying Camaros online. Dude,
- 14:29Speaker 1: all the ROTC guys.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Camaros or Mustangs. The Camaros or Mustangs. It's either a
- 14:34Speaker 2: Camaro or it's a 5.0, baby.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Oh, dude, all the ROTC guys in our high school,
- 14:38Speaker 1: all they would do was buy these fucking cars. Like,
- 14:42Speaker 1: they would buy sometimes, if they could, it would be
- 14:44Speaker 1: a nice Camaro, but every now and then some guy would, like, get.
- 14:46Speaker 1: jealous of the guy that had a nice Camaro and
- 14:49Speaker 1: he would get like a piece of shit and just
- 14:51Speaker 1: put like a fucking $ 2, 000 engine in that bitch and
- 14:54Speaker 1: it would just fucking you know that car when you
- 14:57Speaker 1: were a kid if you backed it up you put
- 14:58Speaker 1: it on the ground and backed it up it like
- 15:00Speaker 1: built up energy she.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Had to go forward yeah it had like a wind
- 15:03Speaker 2: up yeah and then it would just.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Fucking go as fast and just right off never straight
- 15:08Speaker 1: that was that fucking dude bro that it was just
- 15:11Speaker 1: a piece of shit like look like a like a
- 15:13Speaker 1: recycling bin fucking going at 200 miles an hour And
- 15:16Speaker 1: then they would write the 40 time on the windshield
- 15:18Speaker 1: and it was like clutch shit that they would do.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And they would put all these like snipers never dying
- 15:23Speaker 1: shit tattoos on their arms.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And they were just in fucking ROTC. Yeah, dude, they
- 15:28Speaker 2: got dreams. That's going to be my security.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's true. That's exactly what you need.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And so that was all scary. And then even just
- 15:34Speaker 1: having a security, I mean, every, it was just like, dude,
- 15:36Speaker 1: there was so much fucking, I was just dealing with
- 15:38Speaker 1: like a lot of like, um, I started to get
- 15:40Speaker 1: kind of paranoid. I mean, there was people after that
- 15:43Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk thing texting each other, like, or, you know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: stay safe, you know?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So there was just a ton of shit going into it.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But we left out of there that night, had a blast, dude. Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You know, and thought that we might have it. We'll
- 15:56Speaker 1: just look at the tape. And then, yeah, then the
- 16:00Speaker 1: media just like, you know, fuck them, you know? But
- 16:03Speaker 1: not fuck, but it's like, fuck them. They just, you
- 16:05Speaker 1: just realize that they're bottom feeders, these websites that create
- 16:08Speaker 1: these things. And you're like, oh, it's so sad.
- 16:10Speaker 2: That's what they need. I think that's how they make
- 16:12Speaker 2: their money now. And the way that we changed, and
- 16:14Speaker 2: the way that podcasting kind of changed uh, daily current media,
- 16:19Speaker 2: you know, they kind of copied us, but they took
- 16:21Speaker 2: the worst version of it where there's way more love
- 16:23Speaker 2: coming out of you and this than they give credit for.
- 16:27Speaker 2: So they're going to peel what they want to be
- 16:30Speaker 2: the best story. The best story is never going to
- 16:31Speaker 2: be Theo was surrounded by friends and family having a
- 16:34Speaker 2: good night. It's going to be the opposite. You know,
- 16:36Speaker 2: nobody wants to read that. No one wants to read
- 16:39Speaker 2: great time with Theo and his friends at the country
- 16:40Speaker 2: bar with Glenny balls. Nobody wants to read that. That's,
- 16:43Speaker 2: I mean, That's the unfortunate truth. They want to read
- 16:46Speaker 2: the other thing. They want to hear the drama. They
- 16:49Speaker 2: want the other version that makes them feel a little
- 16:51Speaker 2: bit more interested and piqued, and that's a bummer.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And we all do. That's the part of, even with myself,
- 16:59Speaker 1: it's like, I need to not, what do I give
- 17:02Speaker 1: my attention to? When I see things that it's like, oh,
- 17:06Speaker 1: this couple split up or this sort of thing, I
- 17:08Speaker 1: don't want to give my attention to that because I'm
- 17:10Speaker 1: just adding to that thing of like, Let me, let
- 17:13Speaker 1: me add energy into this or look who got busted
- 17:16Speaker 1: or just, you know, shit like that. It's like, I'm
- 17:18Speaker 1: just kind of giving some energy into that. Um, if
- 17:21Speaker 1: it's super negative, you know?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah. Wash that all away. I think the only thing
- 17:25Speaker 2: you could do now, even when there's a lot of negativity, not,
- 17:28Speaker 2: you know, whatever in the, in the public sphere and
- 17:30Speaker 2: the comedy sphere and the, whatever it is, I think,
- 17:32Speaker 2: you know, I focus on drinking coffee and throwing the
- 17:35Speaker 2: ball with my dog every morning. It was like my
- 17:37Speaker 2: favorite thing to do in the world. I did that here.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was late because of that. I drink a whole
- 17:42Speaker 2: pot of coffee in the morning, and I play with
- 17:44Speaker 2: the dog, and that's my reset. I don't know, because
- 17:48Speaker 2: there's nothing going on when that's going on. I leave
- 17:51Speaker 2: my phone at the house, and I just go for
- 17:52Speaker 2: a walk, and then go play with her in the backyard.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Oh, you have a backyard?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a little tiny little backyard. In L.A.,
- 17:58Speaker 2: you don't get much, but it's fake grass, too, which is...
- 18:01Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I'm not taking care of grass, bro.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Well, and some of this new grass, it's crabgrass, or
- 18:07Speaker 1: it's that.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's that Chinese stalking grass or whatever it's called.
- 18:12Speaker 2: That's Bobby Lee's grass, the Chinese stalking grass?
- 18:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:16Speaker 2: That's what he calls it.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Chinese stalking grass. It mostly refers to Chinese silver grass,
- 18:20Speaker 1: a species also known as Japanese stilt grass.
- 18:22Speaker 2: The Japanese stilt grass is much more patient and kind
- 18:24Speaker 2: for some reason.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, yeah.
- 18:28Speaker 2: There it is, yeah. I can't take care of a lawn.
- 18:32Speaker 2: You got land. Don't you have land up by you?
- 18:34Speaker 1: No, dude.
- 18:35Speaker 2: No, you don't have any land?
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't have any fucking land.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I thought you'd have land out by you, dude.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I'm looking right now to try to just get a
- 18:40Speaker 1: little bit more space, but some places it's tough, and
- 18:44Speaker 1: one place I'm looking at, it's kind of over by
- 18:45Speaker 1: the interstate, a little close to the interstate, so it's
- 18:48Speaker 1: loud in the yard.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You don't want that. Get away from that.
- 18:50Speaker 1: You have to yell if you're talking to somebody.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You really got to use your outside voices at a barbecue. Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 1: So it's a lot of that, man. So I don't know.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm looking, and it's kind of tough. you know, cause
- 19:03Speaker 1: I do like to be able to, uh, podcast from home,
- 19:06Speaker 1: that sort of thing. Yeah. And, uh, and, and, and yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 1: so it's been a journey and then it's like, you know,
- 19:14Speaker 1: sometimes it's like, I'll, it's like, you know, do I
- 19:17Speaker 1: get a house where if I have a family, then
- 19:19Speaker 1: we can live there? You know, it's like, I start to,
- 19:21Speaker 1: you know, you get caught in that space where it's like,
- 19:23Speaker 1: Or do I just get a house for me? But
- 19:25Speaker 1: if I do that, am I like locking myself into the,
- 19:27Speaker 1: you know, it's like, but then maybe some of that's
- 19:29Speaker 1: just overthinking things, you know?
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, have you ever thought about doing a compound with
- 19:32Speaker 2: friends or family? People come live with you? I mean,
- 19:34Speaker 2: are you clean? Is your house squeaky clean?
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Are you like a neat freak?
- 19:38Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I'm pretty organized. I'm not, yeah, my
- 19:40Speaker 1: house is clean.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, like my dad was the son of
- 19:46Speaker 2: a military man, so shoes can't be out of place.
- 19:50Speaker 2: yeah that's like a I have the sickness I'm like
- 19:53Speaker 2: just take put them put it right there like my
- 19:55Speaker 2: wife I'll be like what those don't need to be
- 19:57Speaker 2: there yeah she's like why do you care I'm like
- 19:59Speaker 2: I don't know it's a sickness dude it's like just
- 20:01Speaker 2: move them into the into the other thing I think
- 20:03Speaker 2: I've got that's like my that's my my little OCD
- 20:08Speaker 2: that's your Vietnam that's my Vietnam is where are your shoes?
- 20:10Speaker 2: Put your shoes over there. That's my Vietnam. I have flashbacks.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Loose laces on the floor and mud. Dude, move it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Oh, that's my foot Normandy, dude. It really is.
- 20:20Speaker 2: And I'm Agent Orange, dude, so you know I'm going
- 20:22Speaker 2: to come down on it.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Dude, I remember one time a fucking van full of
- 20:26Speaker 1: ginger people broke down on our street and we'd never
- 20:29Speaker 1: seen like a van full. They didn't have, you know,
- 20:31Speaker 1: They didn't have it at the time or whatever.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Right. And we weren't allowed in a van for a
- 20:34Speaker 2: long time. You know that, right? More than five was a,
- 20:36Speaker 2: was a small ginger army. Yeah. You know, us government
- 20:39Speaker 2: restricted more than five redheads at once in a moving vehicle.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I think it was. Yeah. You could be in packs
- 20:43Speaker 2: outside cause we're controllable on foot, but in a.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Van, dude, bro, we'd never seen it. And I remember
- 20:50Speaker 1: my dad, like four got out and he was fucking,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you could hear his fucking temperature rising, dude. You could
- 20:55Speaker 1: hear his fucking neck straight in a little.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah. What are you doing here, boys? Keep it moving.
- 21:01Speaker 1: And then five and then six, they had one that
- 21:03Speaker 1: was like kind of weak or whatever. And he got
- 21:05Speaker 1: out at the end.
- 21:06Speaker 2: We leave him in the back. Yeah. You gotta, the
- 21:07Speaker 2: smallest one must take up the rear because he's got
- 21:10Speaker 2: to protect from the back and he's got to be
- 21:12Speaker 2: one of the first that could go.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Ginger's traveling in packs is a dangerous, dangerous thing. You know,
- 21:16Speaker 2: we don't really see each other like that. You know,
- 21:18Speaker 2: like we don't, when I see another red, there was
- 21:21Speaker 2: a redheaded girl yesterday working this event that we were
- 21:23Speaker 2: at and she was like, my brother. And I said,
- 21:25Speaker 2: let's take it easy. Cause I don't know if you're
- 21:27Speaker 2: an enemy or a friend yet. You know, a regular
- 21:29Speaker 2: person I meet on the street. Hey, how you doing?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Another redhead, I go, I'd like to see the resume
- 21:34Speaker 2: first before I let you into my space. Because I
- 21:37Speaker 2: don't know what kind of ginger they are. There's different levels. Really?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Is there really?
- 21:39Speaker 2: Oh, big time.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's almost like black people and that albino guy or whatever.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You know that guy I'm talking about? Yeah. That undercover
- 21:45Speaker 1: black guy? Bring that guy up.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yeah. There's got to be a vetting process, you know? Like,
- 21:51Speaker 2: can the albino black guy, does he say the N-word?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Bring up a couple albiggas. Is that a term or not?
- 21:57Speaker 2: It is now, dude.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Can we say that or not?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Look at that. Black albino guy with red hair.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Oh, that's what the fuck is up. Bro, that is
- 22:05Speaker 1: the future, dude. Bro, take my money, bro.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Whatever he's selling. And I don't know if that's more
- 22:11Speaker 2: me or more if he's more red or more black.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I don't know what group he'd go with. I mean,
- 22:16Speaker 2: he's invited to the cookout and has to have ring sunscreen,
- 22:18Speaker 2: which is wild.
- 22:20Speaker 1: That's fucking Sunlight Jackson, homie. Are you kidding me? Dude,
- 22:25Speaker 1: are we going to get in trouble for saying Al Biggs?
- 22:27Speaker 2: I don't know, bro. I don't know. It's vague enough.
- 22:30Speaker 2: There's my boy, Blake Griffin. He's a black redheaded. He is.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But he's so handsome and tall and athletic that he
- 22:38Speaker 2: kind of wanes away from the ginger side. You know,
- 22:40Speaker 2: we're usually pale, see-through, and frail. Right.
- 22:43Speaker 1: He's able to kind of almost, he's above it because
- 22:45Speaker 1: of his height.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he superseded it. Yeah. He's gone above and beyond.
- 22:48Speaker 1: That's so rare in that community.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I mean, that is, I mean, that guy still looks,
- 22:54Speaker 2: I mean- 2,000 plus black albino person stock photos. Man,
- 22:58Speaker 2: they took a lot of pictures of this guy.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Dude, is this fucking Henry Rollins? I feel like that's fucking... Bro,
- 23:06Speaker 1: this is basically the albino Henry Rollins. Dude, we're going
- 23:08Speaker 1: to get in so much trouble for making fun of
- 23:10Speaker 1: these guys.
- 23:10Speaker 2: We're not making fun of them. I'm showing some love.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, actually.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I'm fascinated when... You know what's so funny? That 100%
- 23:17Speaker 2: is Henry, back to back. That's his alter ego.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Oh, Henry Rollins.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Oh, Henry Rollins. Yeah. No, dude, I think when I
- 23:27Speaker 2: find red in other places, it makes me feel that
- 23:31Speaker 2: we're still around. Oh, yeah. Because we're fading fast. I mean,
- 23:34Speaker 2: look it up. They said redheads were going to be
- 23:36Speaker 2: dead by like 2045 or something like that.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Bring up a batch of them.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's close, dude. That is a little too close
- 23:43Speaker 2: for comfort for me. I don't want to be extinct
- 23:47Speaker 2: in the next 20 years. Redheads will be extinct. 2060. Okay,
- 23:52Speaker 2: they bumped it up, so we're moving. Oh, it's a
- 23:55Speaker 2: false claim. It's debunked. All right, good.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Widely been debunked by geneticists and scientific organizations. But what
- 24:00Speaker 1: do the people think.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You know? It's more about the street.
- 24:03Speaker 1: In the early 2000s, the Oxford Hair Foundation circulated a
- 24:06Speaker 1: claim that redheads would vanish in the future due to
- 24:09Speaker 1: recessive nature of the red hair gene.
- 24:12Speaker 2: It sounds like a wish more than a thought, you know,
- 24:14Speaker 2: than a hope. I mean, red hair results from mutations. Yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 2: the mutant MC1R gene.
- 24:20Speaker 1: For someone to have red hair, they must inherit two
- 24:22Speaker 1: copies of the variant gene, one from each parent. Because
- 24:25Speaker 1: this gene is recessive, many people carry it without having
- 24:27Speaker 1: red hair themselves, and it can skip generations before reappearing. Wow.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I'm a mutant. And yet I've never been booked on
- 24:34Speaker 2: any Marvel stuff at all.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Dude, it's like a fucking Agatha Christie novel, dude. This
- 24:38Speaker 1: is crazy, bro. It's amazing. In short, while red hair
- 24:43Speaker 1: will likely remain uncommon, it's not going extinct ever. The
- 24:46Speaker 1: gene will continue to be passed on quietly through generations,
- 24:49Speaker 1: resurfacing whenever two carriers have children.
- 24:52Speaker 2: It sounds like a... romantic like a romantic murder mystery
- 24:55Speaker 2: novel but it says it's quiet resurfacing whenever two carriers
- 24:59Speaker 2: have children it will resurface.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I love that well there is something kind of powerful
- 25:04Speaker 1: that it's so unique you know um and if you
- 25:06Speaker 1: ever see somebody that has blue eyes and red hair
- 25:09Speaker 1: it definitely feels like they're like i.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Mean cheering on here he's he's got blue eyes and
- 25:14Speaker 2: red hair right.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Fresh off the tap it feels like they're right off
- 25:16Speaker 1: the tap yeah he came out of the factory just
- 25:19Speaker 1: yeah just like It feels like they could have salmon
- 25:22Speaker 1: swimming upstream in their veins. They feel super clean.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he's still warm from being baked. Look at that.
- 25:29Speaker 2: He's still warm. See, I've got brown eyes. I've got
- 25:31Speaker 2: the Italian side got the brown in my eyes. So
- 25:34Speaker 2: I got brown and red. It is.
- 25:36Speaker 1: It's a dangerous mix.
- 25:36Speaker 2: A dangerous duo.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. Relaxing is the thing now.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to. You're done touring. No more. You're
- 25:43Speaker 2: going to chill for a little while.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's so nice, dude. I've been going to
- 25:47Speaker 1: football games. I've been trying to like plan a date
- 25:49Speaker 1: and then I'll go on the date or do something
- 25:52Speaker 1: like that.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Are you going on a lot of dates? Are you
- 25:55Speaker 2: dating right now or no?
- 25:57Speaker 1: Dude, I just ran into the most ridiculous thing. So
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm in an airplane, right? And the girl that was
- 26:03Speaker 1: working in the airplane was cute, right?
- 26:05Speaker 2: The flight attendant.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And I didn't want to like flirt with her because
- 26:08Speaker 1: it's her job. It's a small space, right? But I
- 26:11Speaker 1: felt like she kind of like, looked at me like
- 26:15Speaker 1: a little more than just looking at, I felt like
- 26:17Speaker 1: we made like, it felt like a little bit of
- 26:19Speaker 1: a spark when we walked in.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Sure. And, did she know who you were?
- 26:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Chances are high.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Maybe. Yeah. And she was pretty tall too. So she
- 26:29Speaker 1: could see me because she, you know, tall people can
- 26:32Speaker 1: see a little bit more. So anyway, I get on
- 26:35Speaker 1: the plane, I sit down and then I'm like, and
- 26:38Speaker 1: I don't see her. She's like doing stuff. And then
- 26:40Speaker 1: after a while, I was like, well, I got to go, uh,
- 26:43Speaker 1: Up there, I'm going to get a diet coke. So
- 26:45Speaker 1: I go up there. And while she's making it, she's
- 26:47Speaker 1: kind of going a little bit slow. And I was like, oh,
- 26:49Speaker 1: I was kind of talking to her and stuff. And then, dude,
- 26:52Speaker 1: I just– fuck, dude, what a fucking idiot. I was
- 26:57Speaker 1: like– I said, well, I said, you should come to
- 27:01Speaker 1: a comedy show sometime. I said I work as a
- 27:04Speaker 1: comedian if you'd ever want to come to a comedy show.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Because we had some good conversations. She was asking me
- 27:09Speaker 1: some questions back. And then she's like, yeah, that sounds great.
- 27:14Speaker 1: How should I get in touch with you or something?
- 27:17Speaker 1: I was like, I'll give you my email, right? And
- 27:18Speaker 1: I was like, fuck, what?
- 27:20Speaker 2: Not a phone number? What are you doing?
- 27:21Speaker 1: I didn't, well, first of all, I didn't know if
- 27:23Speaker 1: it's unprofessional of them on their, like, I didn't know
- 27:25Speaker 1: how much you can hit on somebody on a plane.
- 27:27Speaker 1: And it's also a very small environment. Like if something
- 27:30Speaker 1: gets weird or they feel threatened or something, or it's,
- 27:33Speaker 1: you know, it's weird.
- 27:34Speaker 2: It is a little, you're a little too close for comfort. Right.
- 27:35Speaker 2: You can't just walk away. Right.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And we're right there. So anybody could kind of overhear it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Like it's a small environment, you know, and everybody's quiet.
- 27:43Speaker 1: So I just, what if she's like. You don't do that.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You just don't know how people are going to react.
- 27:47Speaker 2: That's true. But I mean, if you were feeling it,
- 27:49Speaker 2: you were feeling it. If she was obviously vibing with you,
- 27:51Speaker 2: then you throw her your number. The email is, the
- 27:53Speaker 2: email creates some separation where you go, this is my professional.
- 27:56Speaker 2: If you want to come to a show, email me.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You and your friends can come to the show.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Well, I didn't know if she has marriage or whatever.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So I was like, fuck, I don't, I just, I
- 28:03Speaker 1: don't know. I'm always afraid. I think if someone is
- 28:05Speaker 1: like married or has a boyfriend that I think that
- 28:08Speaker 1: is like a big deterrent and it didn't seem like
- 28:10Speaker 1: she did. She didn't have a wedding ring on. Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 1: And she could just say, I guess I have a boyfriend,
- 28:14Speaker 1: but I think there's like, I have like a big,
- 28:16Speaker 1: I have like a lot of, I guess like fear
- 28:18Speaker 1: around that part. And so, yeah, I don't know, dude,
- 28:22Speaker 1: but this is the fucking worst part. So she's like,
- 28:24Speaker 1: I was like, well, just do you have a pen?
- 28:26Speaker 1: I can borrow. I'll just write it on a napkin
- 28:27Speaker 1: at my seat or something. It was, we'd been up
- 28:29Speaker 1: there for a while and some fucking Asian woman, right.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Was at the bath. She's banging on the fucking bathroom
- 28:35Speaker 1: door now and nobody's in there. And I was like,
- 28:37Speaker 1: nobody's in there. And she fucking couldn't put it all together.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 28:40Speaker 1: She couldn't. So she's still just standing there waiting. And
- 28:43Speaker 1: I was like, fuck, dude. And now she's right, this
- 28:46Speaker 1: Asian lady's like right up against me. And, you know,
- 28:50Speaker 1: she's going to go in there and make a fucking
- 28:51Speaker 1: soup or whatever. Those fucking, you get a good Chinese person,
- 28:54Speaker 1: they'll fucking make a soup and a fucking.
- 28:56Speaker 2: They close off the sink? Yeah. They'll make it in there.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Bro, they'll whip up a fucking little bok choy fucking
- 29:02Speaker 1: back chowder in an airplane sink in 20 minutes, dude.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You know, Chinese people, you die walking next to a
- 29:09Speaker 1: Chinese friend, they fucking put a pot right there, light
- 29:12Speaker 1: it up. They make a soup out of anything. They
- 29:13Speaker 1: don't give a fuck, dude. They make soup immediately, and
- 29:15Speaker 1: they keep it moving. So I'm like, this bitch is
- 29:17Speaker 1: trying to get in there to cook. That's why she
- 29:19Speaker 1: was so anxious. For sure. So I'm trying to get
- 29:21Speaker 1: this lady's email, and I'm like, and the pen wasn't
- 29:24Speaker 1: working good, dude. And now a line is building up
- 29:26Speaker 1: for a bathroom that's open, right? So I get this
- 29:29Speaker 1: fucking Asian lady. She's wearing like three visors, fucking glasses.
- 29:34Speaker 1: she was so fucking Asian she wasn't even there probably
- 29:36Speaker 1: she probably wasn't even under all the stuff you know?
- 29:40Speaker 1: You probably had to order her online if you actually
- 29:42Speaker 1: wanted her to be there, dude. But all the accoutrements
- 29:45Speaker 1: and shit were right there. So I'm trying to write
- 29:48Speaker 1: the email and the pen isn't working good. And I'm
- 29:50Speaker 1: having to write it against like, you know, the plastic
- 29:54Speaker 1: in an airplane. It's kind of like It's not the
- 29:56Speaker 1: best writing surface. You're writing against the wall that's up
- 29:59Speaker 1: by the bathrooms. It's probably textured too. It's probably bumpy
- 30:02Speaker 1: and textured. Yes, it was just a lot. So I
- 30:04Speaker 1: finally got like four letters of the fucking email. But
- 30:07Speaker 1: like I kept trying to like etch it into the
- 30:09Speaker 1: paper so you could see it if you put it
- 30:10Speaker 1: by a light or whatever. I fucking– the time has
- 30:15Speaker 1: gotten too long. It's so weird. It's like, hi-ya, hi-ya.
- 30:17Speaker 1: This lady is fucking just beating on a fucking door.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I think the door is even open by now. And
- 30:23Speaker 1: she can't figure out that she can just go in there.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And start a Bunsen burner onto the fucking sink, right?
- 30:28Speaker 2: Light it up, man. Get it moving.
- 30:30Speaker 1: So I finally give the lady the email and it
- 30:32Speaker 1: has like four fucking letters on it. It's a, I
- 30:35Speaker 1: just went and fucking sat down.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Sat down, that's it? Oh my God.
- 30:38Speaker 1: It was too hot. The space had gotten too hot
- 30:42Speaker 1: up there.
- 30:42Speaker 2: The stress was heavy.
- 30:42Speaker 1: What a fucking loser.
- 30:44Speaker 3: No, it's fine.
- 30:44Speaker 2: No, not a loser. You get to keep swinging. That's
- 30:47Speaker 2: the best part.
- 30:48Speaker 1: What, but imagine this. Okay, so this guy fucking came
- 30:50Speaker 1: on the airplane and he gave me A fucking half
- 30:53Speaker 1: of an email address. I should have just left my
- 30:55Speaker 1: fingerprints on her back a little bit or something. Or
- 30:57Speaker 1: just fucking, you know. She was very fair. I should
- 31:00Speaker 1: have just written it in her arm with my finger
- 31:02Speaker 1: or something. Maybe leave half the email to see how
- 31:03Speaker 1: creative she is. Can you figure out the rest? Just
- 31:07Speaker 1: like give a girl four digits instead of seven. See
- 31:09Speaker 1: if she can figure it out. And then I was
- 31:10Speaker 1: just sitting there like, dear God, what a fucking loser.
- 31:14Speaker 2: And there's a long flight left too.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Who gives somebody their email?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you know, maybe she found it creative
- 31:21Speaker 2: and cute. Maybe it was cute. If she really wanted
- 31:23Speaker 2: to hit you up, she could find you. You're findable, dude.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I know, but it just kind of broke my heart.
- 31:29Speaker 1: It didn't break my heart, but it was just like, dude,
- 31:32Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 31:33Speaker 2: Just give it to her.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You're like the guy that runs to third base and
- 31:35Speaker 1: then just goes. Everyone wants to tell the pitch or
- 31:37Speaker 1: something for no reason. It's like, just fucking go home. Fly.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Get to home plate. It's open.
- 31:44Speaker 2: It was wide open.
- 31:46Speaker 1: It should be said that PrizePix is the best place

- 32:54Speaker 1: foot sandals, and I looked up the customer reviews. That's
- 32:58Speaker 1: where I go. I see, what do people think it is?
- 33:00Speaker 1: And it said on there 4.7.

- 34:06Speaker 2: Uh, and now you're just going to take some time,
- 34:09Speaker 2: but yeah, I'm.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Taking some time, dude. Yeah. Well, it's just nice. It's
- 34:11Speaker 1: like the first time where I haven't had like something
- 34:14Speaker 1: looming that feels like a lot.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yeah. That's good.
- 34:17Speaker 1: You know, that's that, that, that getting out there and
- 34:19Speaker 1: touring can feel like a lot, dude, you're doing, we
- 34:21Speaker 1: have your, you have the new golf show.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Yeah. My golf show. And then I'm, which I'm coming
- 34:25Speaker 2: to a close in this year. We're finishing this season.
- 34:27Speaker 2: And then finally I get kind of like an open
- 34:30Speaker 2: space to just do dates on the road. I'm doing
- 34:33Speaker 2: a bunch of like new work, a new hour and
- 34:35Speaker 2: working out in clubs again. I wanted to go backwards
- 34:37Speaker 2: and work in some fun, little smaller rooms. Like I'm
- 34:40Speaker 2: doing punch in San Francisco and Tempe improv. And I
- 34:43Speaker 2: just wanted to like do a bunch of like little
- 34:44Speaker 2: clubs and then casinos to just kind of like really
- 34:46Speaker 2: feel it again, because I had toured so hard that
- 34:50Speaker 2: I was like, I kind of want to feel it
- 34:51Speaker 2: again and go back out in the new year. So
- 34:54Speaker 2: I'm doing a couple of clubs here before the end
- 34:56Speaker 2: of the year and then casinos in the new year
- 34:58Speaker 2: to try to feel it out again and jump around
- 34:59Speaker 2: the country. Honestly, a lot of it, too, is so
- 35:01Speaker 2: I can go see people again, you know, go to
- 35:03Speaker 2: a casino one night and then go see a friend and,
- 35:06Speaker 2: you know, go back to New York and all that stuff.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Kind of jump around.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 1: One day I would like to have maybe if I
- 35:14Speaker 1: get married or get in a relationship, then I would
- 35:16Speaker 1: travel with my wife and go like in a camper
- 35:18Speaker 1: or something.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Oh, I love that.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Before we start a family and maybe do some shows,
- 35:21Speaker 1: but also just go see a lot of places because
- 35:23Speaker 1: you miss out on some places. And it is nice
- 35:26Speaker 1: to be able to schedule a place around where friends are.
- 35:28Speaker 2: You know who does that? Well, I mean, I don't
- 35:30Speaker 2: know if he does it anymore, but I ran into
- 35:34Speaker 2: Regan was with his girlfriend. I don't quite know. I
- 35:37Speaker 2: don't know.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Brian Regan?
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Regan's girlfriend or whatever, partner or whatever. And they
- 35:42Speaker 2: were on a bus together. And he was like, we're
- 35:44Speaker 2: just touring the country, doing shows, goofing around, stopping at
- 35:46Speaker 2: places that we feel like stopping. I was like, that
- 35:48Speaker 2: is the move. My wife just doesn't really want to go.
- 35:51Speaker 2: to all these places. Cause she's got her own thing.
- 35:53Speaker 2: You know what I mean? She's got her own career.
- 35:54Speaker 2: So it's hard for me to pull her out, but
- 35:56Speaker 2: it does seem like a cool little fantasy to get
- 35:58Speaker 2: in the bus and stop by cool spots. You know,
- 36:00Speaker 2: shit that I never get to see because we're on
- 36:02Speaker 2: the road half of the time you're in a city
- 36:03Speaker 2: and then you got to go. And then you're in
- 36:05Speaker 2: a new city and you're like, Oh, that'd be, well,
- 36:07Speaker 2: we got to go. You got to jet so much,
- 36:09Speaker 2: you know, but also after living on a bus with
- 36:12Speaker 2: Bobby for a couple of months. Um, yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 1: What was that? You were on the bus with him.
- 36:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 2: We did the bus tour last year. It was, uh,
- 36:21Speaker 2: It was really hard. It was really hard.
- 36:24Speaker 1: What are some of the toughest parts about living on
- 36:26Speaker 1: a bus with Bobby?
- 36:27Speaker 2: I mean, you know, the number one rule when you're
- 36:29Speaker 2: on a tour bus is no pooping on the bus.
- 36:30Speaker 2: You got to wait to poop. I mean, and you
- 36:32Speaker 2: can schedule it. You make an internal agreement saying, you know,
- 36:36Speaker 2: to yourself, we will poop when we get to a place.
- 36:39Speaker 2: And he pooped on the bus within the first week.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I mean, he broke the rule within week one, you know.
- 36:43Speaker 2: You can't poop on the bus week one.
- 36:44Speaker 1: How many weeks was the tour?
- 36:46Speaker 2: It was like three months.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 36:50Speaker 2: He broke rule week one, and then his schedule is crazy.
- 36:53Speaker 1: And his legs don't even, dude, I actually walked in
- 36:55Speaker 1: on him in the bathroom one time. His legs aren't
- 36:57Speaker 1: on the floor while he poops, and I feel like
- 36:59Speaker 1: it's so much harder to poop when you can't get
- 37:01Speaker 1: traction from the floor.
- 37:02Speaker 2: No grip, yeah. He's not grounded at all. Well, we
- 37:04Speaker 2: put a squatty potty under there so his feet do
- 37:06Speaker 2: touch something. Oh, that's right. That's for him to feel regulated.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Because I walked in one time, he was literally squeezing
- 37:11Speaker 1: his body down like a tube of toothpaste trying to
- 37:13Speaker 1: get it out of him.
- 37:14Speaker 2: You have to roll it now with him. If you
- 37:15Speaker 2: don't roll down with him, gravity doesn't do all the
- 37:18Speaker 2: work for him. you know, because Koreans keep most of
- 37:20Speaker 2: it up and high. So you got to really kind
- 37:22Speaker 2: of massage him. A lot of times I'll massage his
- 37:24Speaker 2: shoulders and back. If he says, I got to go
- 37:25Speaker 2: to the bathroom, I'll say, well, give me an hour
- 37:27Speaker 2: with you first. So I'll roll down his back, roll
- 37:30Speaker 2: his sides out. You know, you have to, you really
- 37:33Speaker 2: have to.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Oh, he's like a filo dough, brother. He's like, he's
- 37:37Speaker 1: a very rare dough. Look at him.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He is. And you got to let him rest. Now
- 37:39Speaker 2: he's getting skinnier though, man. He doesn't look like that anymore.
- 37:41Speaker 2: He's on Ozempic and he's flying free.
- 37:43Speaker 1: No, he's not.
- 37:44Speaker 2: He's on Wagovi, which is the alternative because he threw
- 37:46Speaker 2: up on Ozempic pretty bad. He was sick as a dog.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Every time we went out to eat, he'd get sick.
- 37:51Speaker 2: And then he was like, I think I can't do it.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So then he switched up and then he started taking Wegovy,
- 37:56Speaker 2: which is like another alternative. And he's been incredible. I
- 37:58Speaker 2: think he lost, he'll say the real number, but I
- 38:01Speaker 2: think it was 30 something pounds. But look at how
- 38:02Speaker 2: thin he looks there, man.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Look at how thin he looks there. That's crazy.
- 38:06Speaker 1: He looks great.
- 38:07Speaker 2: He's feeling much better. He's still looking for love though.
- 38:10Speaker 2: His whole journey is now, he's looking for love.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You can't look too hard.
- 38:15Speaker 2: He's searching, bro.
- 38:16Speaker 1: You can't look too hard, man.
- 38:17Speaker 2: He's staring deep, deep into that abyss of the dating pool.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And also the apps. You're not on the apps.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I'm not on the apps.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he lives and dies by those things. He loves them.
- 38:26Speaker 1: He does?
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but he doesn't commit.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Did you ever do the apps when you were dating?
- 38:30Speaker 2: No, man. That world seems so dark to me. Also,
- 38:34Speaker 2: I see all my friends following the same traps where
- 38:36Speaker 2: they hit up a girl, they talk for a second,
- 38:38Speaker 2: then they never meet up or they never link. It
- 38:40Speaker 2: ends in a weird blank space.
- 38:42Speaker 3: There's no.
- 38:44Speaker 2: There, there, there's truly no like risk reward. It's almost like, yeah, dude, it's,
- 38:49Speaker 2: it doesn't matter if it happens or not. So there's no, like,
- 38:51Speaker 2: if you schedule a real date, you meet someone in
- 38:52Speaker 2: the real world, the girl on the plane risk, real risk.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You're on a plane. Here's my number or my email.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Does it work? We'll see on the app. It doesn't matter, bro.
- 39:03Speaker 2: On the app, it's, they stop. He talks to a
- 39:04Speaker 2: bunch of girls and then he stops talking to them
- 39:05Speaker 2: when they, he feels like they're not engaged or he's
- 39:10Speaker 2: over it.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Dude, yeah, I remember I was on the app one
- 39:13Speaker 1: time years ago, and it was when Steven Avery was
- 39:16Speaker 1: popping off.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The guy that was killing people at that used car
- 39:19Speaker 1: lot or whatever. And all my pictures were of him. Yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And remember that one kid? Yeah, that was. definitely one
- 39:30Speaker 1: of them. And remember, and Brendan Dassey, who was like
- 39:33Speaker 1: his accomplice.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Dassey was his nephew or something? Or what was that, right?
- 39:36Speaker 1: And they were both, I think, retarded or whatever. And they.
- 39:39Speaker 2: I don't know if that's it. I think they were
- 39:42Speaker 2: both just, back in the day, just quiet men. They
- 39:46Speaker 2: were just quiet men. Brent Dassey was a misunderstood quiet boy. Now,
- 39:50Speaker 2: I don't really know. I don't remember this case in whole.
- 39:53Speaker 1: My buddies played Dassey on Call of Duty.
- 39:57Speaker 2: On NFL 2K?
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Dassey's the unlock a player?
- 40:00Speaker 1: He's got his screen name or something.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you meant he had like an avatar.
- 40:04Speaker 2: You could play as Dassey. I played NBA 2K with Dassey.
- 40:09Speaker 1: He's just standing by a fucking burn barrel just fucking
- 40:14Speaker 1: smoking a dart with his buddies, dude. He doesn't even
- 40:17Speaker 1: know he's cooking wieners. Like there's like a deceased body
- 40:21Speaker 1: and he doesn't even know. He just thinks it's an
- 40:23Speaker 1: open fire.
- 40:24Speaker 2: He's always in the gulag. He lives in the gulag, bro.
- 40:27Speaker 2: He's just cooking franks on a stick over a burning body.
- 40:30Speaker 1: He doesn't even know. But anyway, I put a lot
- 40:33Speaker 1: of Brennan Dassey photos on there and a lot of
- 40:35Speaker 1: Stephen Avery photos because I was like, oh, this is
- 40:37Speaker 1: topical right now. Chicks will see this. A lot of
- 40:39Speaker 1: chicks love crime.
- 40:40Speaker 2: They love crime stuff.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Yeah. And then I put the cousin from Home Alone.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Remember that kid with the glasses?
- 40:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved him. Fuller. Yes. You're going to wet
- 40:49Speaker 2: the bed, Fuller. You know who that was, right? You
- 40:51Speaker 2: know what actor that was? Uh-uh. That's Macaulay Culkin's brother.
- 40:56Speaker 2: That's the kid from Succession.
- 40:58Speaker 1: No.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Yeah, what's his name? Why can't I think of his name?
- 41:00Speaker 2: Kieran Culkin. Kieran Culkin. That's him as a kid. Wow.
- 41:03Speaker 2: You're going to wet the bed, Fuller.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. I put a picture of him and then
- 41:07Speaker 1: two pictures of me. And they got so pissed at me. Like,
- 41:09Speaker 1: you can't put accused killers or whatever. And I was like,
- 41:12Speaker 1: get fucked, guys.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Well, you're just talking about what's going on right now.
- 41:15Speaker 2: That's what's happening in the news right now.
- 41:17Speaker 1: So they had, like, some shit or whatever. But anyway,
- 41:19Speaker 1: that was the last time I was on, and I
- 41:20Speaker 1: think so that was probably about nine years ago. I
- 41:22Speaker 1: think also, like... I just don't want to be addicted
- 41:24Speaker 1: to that stuff. And I don't want to get to
- 41:26Speaker 1: the part where you don't get a response from somebody
- 41:28Speaker 1: or you don't get something and it makes me feel bad.
- 41:31Speaker 2: You feel like it's a shot at you or something. Right.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I think I'm a little too sensitive with that shit.
- 41:36Speaker 1: And I also don't like somebody being able to tell
- 41:37Speaker 1: me no if I'm not right there. You know what
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'm saying?
- 41:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Give it to my face.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Know me to my face. Yeah.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Email me and tell me no.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Okay. I hope that flight attendant, wherever she is, I
- 41:49Speaker 2: hope she's watching. And you got to reach out to Theo.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Take him out on a date. What's your perfect date?
- 41:55Speaker 2: What's Theo's perfect date?
- 41:56Speaker 1: Ooh, that's a nice question. You know what it is, dude?
- 41:58Speaker 1: I realize it's just like going for a walk somewhere.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Something easy.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Like just through like a nice nature trail or something
- 42:04Speaker 1: like that, which sounds like a fucking....
- 42:07Speaker 2: Which sounds very much like a fucking... Like you're going
- 42:10Speaker 2: to create a murder mystery then? Yeah. Well, dude, did
- 42:13Speaker 2: you see this thing with Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell?
- 42:18Speaker 2: The people.
- 42:20Speaker 2: She did a post about their anniversary, 12 years or something.
- 42:25Speaker 2: And she wrote on her Instagram, yeah, where he's hugging
- 42:29Speaker 2: her there. Which, by the way, I thought he was
- 42:31Speaker 2: hugging his daughter. It looks like a child.
- 42:33Speaker 1: That's his.
- 42:34Speaker 2: That's her. And it says, 12th wedding anniversary to the
- 42:36Speaker 2: man who once said to me, I would never kill you.
- 42:38Speaker 2: A lot of men have killed their wives at a
- 42:39Speaker 2: certain point. Even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you,
- 42:42Speaker 2: I never would. And then a bunch of people were like...
- 42:46Speaker 2: This is not healthy. She's just goofing. She's just playing around.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Look at that. Wait, wait. Dateline NBC wrote, screenshotted.
- 42:53Speaker 1: What?
- 42:54Speaker 2: Like they want to use it for something in the
- 42:55Speaker 2: future in case something goes down.
- 42:59Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 42:59Speaker 2: She's just being playful. She's just goofing around.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Women, I think one reason why women like true crime
- 43:03Speaker 1: and like murder.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Murder mystery, yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Yeah, is because at least the man's committing. At least
- 43:10Speaker 1: if this guy's going to kill me.
- 43:11Speaker 2: He's going to go all the way.
- 43:12Speaker 1: And it's commitment.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Right. That's why they like it.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Women want commitment. So it's like, oh, this guy is
- 43:17Speaker 1: at least willing to fucking actually kill me instead of
- 43:19Speaker 1: some fucking pussy ass guy who comes by and just
- 43:22Speaker 1: kind of stabs me and pokes me and makes me
- 43:24Speaker 1: get my nails and cooter shaved up and all this
- 43:27Speaker 1: stuff just to waste my fucking time. At least this
- 43:31Speaker 1: fucking decent man has come over here and committed to
- 43:35Speaker 1: fucking crime and committed to murder.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I am fascinated with the idea that why women like
- 43:40Speaker 2: it so much. Like my wife, she doesn't like it
- 43:43Speaker 2: the way that I see, like a lot of women
- 43:44Speaker 2: love murder mystery because I think it affirms their belief
- 43:47Speaker 2: that any man could be a killer. Like it's almost
- 43:51Speaker 2: like verifying the fact that they go, yeah, Theo's sweet,
- 43:53Speaker 2: but could be a killer. I mean, I think they
- 43:55Speaker 2: think that about every single dude could be a killer
- 43:58Speaker 2: for some reason. It's like ingrained in their DNA. It's
- 44:01Speaker 2: gotta be nature, protective years of nature of thinking like
- 44:05Speaker 2: if the village is running out of food, the, the, the,
- 44:09Speaker 2: the big, Neanderthals are probably gonna be like, we gotta
- 44:11Speaker 2: kill some of these women. They're eating the food. We
- 44:13Speaker 2: gotta get rid of them. We'll go find new women.
- 44:15Speaker 2: I mean, that's gotta be some weird old school, you know,
- 44:18Speaker 2: human instinct. Like the women are, and also, don't females, like,
- 44:25Speaker 2: don't the mantises, don't they eat the guys after they
- 44:27Speaker 2: have sex with them? Isn't that what they do? Like
- 44:29Speaker 2: the praying mantis, I think they, don't they kill the
- 44:31Speaker 2: man the moment that they're done getting impregnated? There's gotta
- 44:34Speaker 2: be bugs that do that like crazy. Bugs?
- 44:36Speaker 1: There's fucking people in Memphis doing this shit.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 1: How many animals.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Yeah, sexual cannibalism. Female praying mantises will do it. They'll
- 44:44Speaker 2: eat the male during or after mating. You gotta wait
- 44:47Speaker 2: till I'm done. Don't eat me while we're going at it.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Unless it's right after I bust.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Yeah, right. Take me now. Or right when I'm doing it.
- 44:56Speaker 2: That would be hot. Kill me right when I'm doing it.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Dude, that's crazy. What other animals, I believe it's male raccoons,
- 45:06Speaker 1: will eat the children of a female raccoon so that
- 45:11Speaker 1: she'll go right back into heat to want to make
- 45:13Speaker 1: more children.
- 45:14Speaker 2: To make another one.
- 45:14Speaker 1: So they can have sex again.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I'm lucky that didn't happen with me. You get a
- 45:18Speaker 2: redhead baby, you're like, I gotta kill just to get
- 45:21Speaker 2: another one. This is the one I want. Male raccoons
- 45:23Speaker 2: do do that.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Are known to sometimes kill and even eat the young
- 45:26Speaker 1: of females, and one main reason is exactly that, to
- 45:28Speaker 1: make the female go into heat again. The behavior is
- 45:30Speaker 1: a form of infanticide, and it serves as an evolutionary
- 45:34Speaker 1: purpose similar to what's observed in lions and some primate species.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Wow. God, that's wild. And female raccoons can't become pregnant
- 45:41Speaker 2: while nursing. They must finish raising the litter before entering,
- 45:46Speaker 2: I can't say that word.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Estrus.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Estrus.
- 45:47Speaker 1: When a male kills her kits, she will return to
- 45:50Speaker 1: estrus within days, allowing him to sire his own offspring
- 45:53Speaker 1: rather than raising another male's. Wow, that's insane, bro.
- 45:56Speaker 2: That's some Stephen King shit.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I mean, if that happened in human society, it would
- 46:00Speaker 1: be absolutely crazy.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Kill your own just so they get hot again. That's
- 46:03Speaker 2: like a Black Mirror episode. You know what I mean?
- 46:06Speaker 2: Like in the future, you're like, we need to make
- 46:08Speaker 2: the perfect human. So every time they have a kid,
- 46:09Speaker 2: if it's not exactly what they want, like, you know,
- 46:11Speaker 2: they're doing now people, you can pick things. They're, they're
- 46:15Speaker 2: engineering kids. Now you can pick the specifics of your kid.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Like you want it to be a certain height category,
- 46:20Speaker 2: you know, weight, hair, eye color. Like we're getting into,
- 46:23Speaker 2: we're playing God. Like we're playing God. It's going to
- 46:26Speaker 2: backfire tremendously bad. Like sometimes I think Shohei Otani was
- 46:30Speaker 2: made in a lab. You see that dude. You're like,
- 46:32Speaker 2: do you know a lot of, Six, seven Japanese dudes?
- 46:34Speaker 1: 265?
- 46:35Speaker 2: You're like, this dude was made in a lab to
- 46:38Speaker 2: be the greatest baseball player of all time.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Where was he made?
- 46:41Speaker 2: What lab was he made in? I mean, look at
- 46:44Speaker 2: the size of this man. Arguably the greatest baseball player
- 46:47Speaker 2: I think I've ever seen live. It blows my mind.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Have you watched him live? Have you seen him live?
- 46:51Speaker 1: It's unbelievable.
- 46:52Speaker 2: It's shocking how good he is.
- 46:53Speaker 1: And he can't even tell us how much fun he's
- 46:55Speaker 1: having because he doesn't even speak English.
- 46:56Speaker 2: That's why he does that, though. He doesn't want you
- 46:58Speaker 2: to know. He stays... He stays that way. He's not
- 47:02Speaker 2: trying to learn.
- 47:03Speaker 1: So Itani was not made in a lab.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Bullshit.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Yeah. He's a real human born in Japan. He was
- 47:08Speaker 1: born in Mizusawa Iwate Prefecture, known as Oshu.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Oshu.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Wow.
- 47:14Speaker 2: In Japan, where both athletes in his youth. His mother
- 47:17Speaker 2: played badminton. Oh, that answers that, I guess. Badminton players
- 47:20Speaker 2: always make the best baseball players.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Bro, imagine how savage his mother is at badminton.
- 47:25Speaker 2: She's the baddest bitch at badminton. His father was an
- 47:28Speaker 2: amateur baseball player. I did know that. But a factory
- 47:30Speaker 2: worker for the most part.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Oh, that's cool.
- 47:32Speaker 2: The rumors claiming he was created in a Japanese laboratory
- 47:34Speaker 2: are satirical. That's right, humorous. That's what we're doing here.
- 47:37Speaker 1: We'll figure it out.
- 47:37Speaker 2: We're just joking around.
- 47:39Speaker 1: But, dude, everything's getting outsourced now, dude. Bro, we're doing
- 47:42Speaker 1: this new thing with Mike Rowe where we're going to do.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe?
- 47:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:47Speaker 2: I love that guy.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Oh, he's great.
- 47:49Speaker 2: His voice is great. God, dude.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Dude, every time he talks, I can hear my mother
- 47:53Speaker 1: c * * * ing, which is crazy.
- 47:55Speaker 2: It's like— He gets women pregnant by the baritone in
- 47:58Speaker 2: his voice. And maybe we need to get rid of
- 48:00Speaker 2: that statement I didn't say. That's crazy to say, right?
- 48:03Speaker 2: Keep it. No, I like it. Keep it. It makes sense.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I don't think so. Let me give you my email.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Just give me half. Is Roe married?
- 48:11Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
- 48:12Speaker 2: If he was a single guy, my good God.
- 48:14Speaker 1: God, he's doing fine.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Let me do some cleanup. And it's very newsworthy because
- 48:20Speaker 2: he has inflection that jumps up and down.
- 48:23Speaker 1: He worked.
- 48:23Speaker 2: No, he's single. He's never been married. Been in some
- 48:26Speaker 2: long terms, though.
- 48:27Speaker 5: God.
- 48:29Speaker 1: He worked on QVC whenever he first started.
- 48:31Speaker 2: That's how we got to start.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:33Speaker 2: No shit.
- 48:33Speaker 1: And so we're doing this thing where it's like it's
- 48:37Speaker 1: like small American companies like mom and pop companies like
- 48:39Speaker 1: trying to create like an avenue for them to sell
- 48:41Speaker 1: Christmas gifts to other people. So we're going to do
- 48:43Speaker 1: this episode that's all about that and feature a bunch
- 48:47Speaker 1: of different products.
- 48:48Speaker 2: It's kind of slicing out Amazon, so to speak, right?
- 48:50Speaker 2: You're like, take it back to the local shops.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so then it's almost like you get two gifts.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I get to get somebody a gift, but I also
- 48:56Speaker 1: get to give another person a gift by buying something
- 49:00Speaker 1: from them.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, like what Tom's Shoes did, kind of, where you
- 49:03Speaker 2: buy a shoe, they give a shoe to somebody. I
- 49:05Speaker 2: don't know if that's true.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Well, all these products are American-made, so everything is purely American-made.
- 49:10Speaker 1: But one of the things we're noticing, dude, is there's
- 49:13Speaker 1: nothing made here.
- 49:14Speaker 4: No.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Like if we shut off China completely, we would fucking
- 49:17Speaker 1: be living off of beef beef.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Which I love.
- 49:22Speaker 1: And wind chimes. Bro.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And garden gnomes. We're still producing those like crazy, bro.
- 49:27Speaker 2: You go past the nursery down the street, there's 100,000
- 49:30Speaker 2: of them. I'm like, who's still buying these? But they're
- 49:32Speaker 2: still made here. And by the way, the more I
- 49:35Speaker 2: see companies that are trying to do the made in
- 49:38Speaker 2: the USA thing, the prices go skyrocket. That's the, that's
- 49:41Speaker 2: the worst part that you're like, I want to support
- 49:43Speaker 2: them too, but my God.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Well, it's just no, there's no infrastructure. I mean, you
- 49:46Speaker 1: can't get hardly anything done. Here's what we're seeing. Right.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But some of that's starting to change. Like there's people
- 49:52Speaker 1: that want to do it. Um, there's this good ranchers
- 49:54Speaker 1: company that is like, uh, sourcing meat. That's just in America. There's, um,
- 49:59Speaker 1: American giant, which is finally created an avenue for like
- 50:04Speaker 1: getting cotton gin here. Um, and that they can use
- 50:07Speaker 1: to create textiles and shirts like, but it's like electronics.
- 50:11Speaker 2: No, that's gone.
- 50:12Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 50:12Speaker 2: We lost that a long time ago. We were never
- 50:13Speaker 2: going to, I mean, but also they make, they make
- 50:16Speaker 2: the best electronical shit, man. Like if you've seen in Japan,
- 50:18Speaker 2: they've got those streets that have kinetic energy that stores
- 50:21Speaker 2: energy for you walk on a, you now, when you
- 50:23Speaker 2: walk down some sidewalks in Japan, it stores kinetic energy
- 50:27Speaker 2: as you walk in the sidewalks. Look at that. So
- 50:30Speaker 2: you press down and it takes the kinetic energy and
- 50:32Speaker 2: stores it for, for energy usage in the future. Brother,
- 50:35Speaker 2: there's a pothole on my street that's been there for
- 50:37Speaker 2: nine years. We can't get that shit fucking fixed. And
- 50:39Speaker 2: they got kinetic energy sidewalks.
- 50:41Speaker 6: I mean.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where Mike Rowe keeps his voice in that pothole.
- 50:45Speaker 1: That thing's deep.
- 50:46Speaker 2: I live down here.
- 50:48Speaker 1: But dude, there's... Yeah, they have a sidewalk over there
- 50:49Speaker 1: that can tell if you're a f * * *
- 50:50Speaker 1: er or not, too.
- 50:51Speaker 2: They really?
- 50:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Damn.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Isn't that crazy?
- 50:53Speaker 2: Japan is advanced.
- 50:55Speaker 1: But dude, that's a scary day to take your son
- 50:57Speaker 1: for a walk.
- 50:58Speaker 2: You know?
- 50:58Speaker 1: You're like.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Like, let's see what happens here, fella. They took the
- 51:04Speaker 2: idea of a, what was it? What was it when
- 51:06Speaker 2: we were a kid? What was it called? A, uh,
- 51:07Speaker 2: there it is. That's the road.
- 51:09Speaker 1: And that's us just painting.
- 51:10Speaker 2: That's me and you just walking around. Now, if you
- 51:12Speaker 2: come when you're on that block, that's how they know.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Then they got you. One of us.
- 51:18Speaker 1: That's for sure, dude. Bro, it's, yeah, that's the kind
- 51:21Speaker 1: of shit. That's out of pocket. That's great though. That's
- 51:25Speaker 1: that rainbow street. But the craziest thing was, remember they
- 51:27Speaker 1: put all that rainbow and the black pride stuff right
- 51:29Speaker 1: next to each other? And meanwhile, in black culture, they
- 51:32Speaker 1: do not accept a lot of gay people.
- 51:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that is not on the same block. They're like,
- 51:35Speaker 2: move that to the other block.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Put that shit in the cul-de-sac.
- 51:41Speaker 2: That shit is a dead end. Put that shit on
- 51:42Speaker 2: the dead end.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Dude, technology is getting so crazy, man. Did you see the... Fuck,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I gave her my fucking email. Can you even imagine?
- 51:50Speaker 2: Half an email is even worse.
- 51:51Speaker 1: But what I tried as fucking hard as I could,
- 51:53Speaker 1: she gave me the pen. Dude, but– and then just
- 51:59Speaker 1: sitting in my chair and just being like, bro, why
- 52:02Speaker 1: did you go up there? You got to diet coke
- 52:05Speaker 1: and give a woman half of a fucking email address.
- 52:10Speaker 1: You are fucking– no, speaking of technology, dude, there's a toilet.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Bring up that toilet. There's a toilet now. They want
- 52:19Speaker 1: to be able to– was it film you while you're
- 52:23Speaker 1: doing poops or whatever?
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yep. They, they film you while you're shitting. Or it's, uh,
- 52:29Speaker 2: they want to be able to test your poo poo. Oh,
- 52:31Speaker 2: I like that. Test me to see if I'm healthy. Yeah,
- 52:33Speaker 2: but fucking dude, what if you just had a fucking
- 52:36Speaker 2: night where you had a couple, you know, you had
- 52:37Speaker 2: a couple of barks, root beers and some pizza. Right.
- 52:40Speaker 2: It's going to, it's going to let you know how
- 52:41Speaker 2: bad it was for you. That's good. I want to know.
- 52:43Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 52:44Speaker 1: And, bro, can we discontinue hot honey pizzas because those
- 52:47Speaker 1: are making people— Why is that a thing?
- 52:48Speaker 2: I don't understand honey on the pizza. They always do that.
- 52:51Speaker 2: They go pepperoni, jalapeno, and hot honey. That's the new shit.
- 52:54Speaker 2: I don't like that. When did honey make its way
- 52:56Speaker 2: out of that?
- 52:56Speaker 1: It's just people that want to shit more. There's people that.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Can't— Kohler makes a tiny camera in your toilet to
- 53:04Speaker 2: analyze the contents.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Some smart litter boxes can monitor our pets' habits and health,
- 53:09Speaker 1: so having a camera in our human toilet bowl seems inevitable.
- 53:12Speaker 2: No, it doesn't. I don't need a camera in there.
- 53:13Speaker 2: I don't want it to watch me. I don't want
- 53:15Speaker 2: that stuff posted. The caller's like, uploading now to Facebook.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Ricky just shit. Ricky's shit gets a four stars.
- 53:25Speaker 2: You see my little wiener barely making it over my
- 53:27Speaker 2: balls first thing in the morning when I'm shitting on Facebook.
- 53:30Speaker 2: My dad would post 100% on accident. He'd be like,
- 53:33Speaker 2: help me take this down. I posted the Kohler clip.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Like, Andrew.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Andrew, I posted the fucking Kohler clip. Please help me
- 53:40Speaker 2: take it down.
- 53:41Speaker 1: It was a thick piss, damn it. Look, sometimes I
- 53:44Speaker 1: pee sitting down. They're fucking, they're calculating it wrong. That
- 53:49Speaker 1: would be my fear, dude. But it says it right here.
- 53:51Speaker 1: The 599 decoda.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Clamps over the rim like a toilet bowl cleaner, pointing
- 53:57Speaker 2: an optical sensor.
- 53:58Speaker 1: At your erect.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Excretions and secretions.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Excretions and secretions. It then analyzes the images to detect
- 54:03Speaker 1: any blood and reviews your gut health and hydration status
- 54:06Speaker 1: depending on the plan you choose. The fee is between
- 54:09Speaker 1: $ 70 and $ 156 per year.
- 54:11Speaker 2: We need to go back to my grandfather who never
- 54:12Speaker 2: went to the doctor. He was like, I don't, I'll
- 54:14Speaker 2: figure it out. It'll get me when it gets me.
- 54:16Speaker 2: My grandfather never wanted to know, like, this is something interesting.
- 54:19Speaker 2: There's a couple of friends of ours, not my liberty
- 54:22Speaker 2: to say that, went and got a full body test
- 54:24Speaker 2: to make sure they're okay. And one of our friends
- 54:26Speaker 2: came back with something who, you know, and you know,
- 54:30Speaker 2: it scared him a little bit, but he got it
- 54:31Speaker 2: taken care of. It was benign. So luckily it was okay.
- 54:33Speaker 2: But I got the fear of, he's like, you should
- 54:35Speaker 2: go do it. And I thought, I don't know if
- 54:37Speaker 2: I want to know, like, do you want to know?
- 54:38Speaker 2: I think just let, let it happen when it happens.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I don't want impending doom. I just want to live
- 54:43Speaker 2: life until it's over. I think it's, there's so much noise.
- 54:47Speaker 2: stressing us out, that more noise about our existence. What's
- 54:52Speaker 2: this comment that's coming at us right now that I
- 54:54Speaker 2: think might hit us or whatever? I don't want to know.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Just let it hit us. Don't tell me it's going
- 54:58Speaker 2: to hit us. I don't want to know it's going
- 55:02Speaker 2: to happen because then I'm preparing for it to happen.
- 55:05Speaker 2: I'd rather just keep living free until it happens.
- 55:08Speaker 1: But what if you're living free and your neighbor's just
- 55:10Speaker 1: digging a huge hole in his yard to fucking hide
- 55:12Speaker 1: in or something?
- 55:13Speaker 2: Let him live then. That's his choice. People build bunkers.
- 55:16Speaker 2: People have been building bunkers For how long? I mean,
- 55:19Speaker 2: as far as we know, the Denver airport is a,
- 55:21Speaker 2: is a big bunker. I mean, and they've told us
- 55:23Speaker 2: for years, they're like, nah, no, that's not true. And
- 55:25Speaker 2: then the older you get, the government goes back on
- 55:27Speaker 2: what it said. Remember when they said there was no
- 55:29Speaker 2: UFOs when we were kids? Like there's no fucking UFOs.
- 55:31Speaker 2: And then like a year ago, there was like, yeah,
- 55:32Speaker 2: there's UFOs. Yeah. Yeah. We got, and we got a
- 55:34Speaker 2: bunch of them too. We keep collecting them.
- 55:36Speaker 1: And they're in the water. They said that. Remember that shit?
- 55:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:38Speaker 2: They're living in the water. Yeah. They're getting transferred. You've
- 55:41Speaker 2: been to underground in New York. You're like, this is
- 55:43Speaker 2: where they live for sure, dude. It's Hasidic Jews in
- 55:46Speaker 2: the underground protecting the aliens. We get a conspiracy theory.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Remember the Hasidic Jews? They busted him in that fucking tunnel.
- 55:54Speaker 2: In the underground.
- 55:55Speaker 1: And they never even.
- 55:56Speaker 2: No, they wiped that away. They were like, we're never
- 55:57Speaker 2: talking about that again.
- 55:58Speaker 1: There's a dirty mattress and they never even.
- 56:01Speaker 2: The secret synagogue. That's what it was. That was the
- 56:03Speaker 2: wildest shit I think I've ever seen in my life.
- 56:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:06Speaker 2: They busted him crawling out of those things. And then
- 56:08Speaker 2: out of a sidewalk.
- 56:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:09Speaker 2: The one that was on the sidewalk was probably the
- 56:11Speaker 2: most like wild photo. Oh, dude, speaking of wild photos.
- 56:15Speaker 1: And it was that sidewalk that judges you to that
- 56:17Speaker 1: knows it. So it was like, banker, extortionist.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Right there, yeah. Look at, they got him crawling out
- 56:23Speaker 2: of a grate. That is insane, dude.
- 56:26Speaker 1: I know, dude. Look, the sidewalk is just rattling off
- 56:28Speaker 1: right there.
- 56:29Speaker 2: You want to talk about a weird photo, dude. Did
- 56:31Speaker 2: you see this Time Magazine picture of Trump? Did you
- 56:34Speaker 2: see his response? It made me laugh so hard. They
- 56:36Speaker 2: took a photo of him. They said, you know, they
- 56:38Speaker 2: put him on Time Magazine for the hostages. And they
- 56:42Speaker 2: wrote his triumph, you know.
- 56:43Speaker 1: That's a picture they used?
- 56:44Speaker 2: Well, look at his neck. Yeah, he commented about it.
- 56:46Speaker 2: He was like, they deleted my hair. I mean, you
- 56:51Speaker 2: zoom in on that guy's neck. It's banana. That is
- 56:53Speaker 2: the worst photo I've ever seen, dude.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Oh, that neck. It's definitely, it gives long nut.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's long nut neck. That's long nut neck. Honestly, look.
- 57:03Speaker 2: I mean, look what they did with the sun in
- 57:04Speaker 2: his hair. He's like, they deleted my hair. They don't
- 57:08Speaker 2: like my hair. I mean, it does look photoshopped. It's hilarious.
- 57:12Speaker 1: They fucked him on this. How Gaza heals. That whole
- 57:15Speaker 1: thing was just a fucking, a bunch of bullshit.
- 57:17Speaker 2: You think they were going to give him, like, this
- 57:19Speaker 2: is why it's funny. Time magazine wasn't going to praise
- 57:21Speaker 2: him all the way. Like, of course they were going
- 57:23Speaker 2: to put a bad photo. You think they were going
- 57:24Speaker 2: to give you the photo of your choice? Come on,
- 57:26Speaker 2: no fucking way. By the way, I think about that
- 57:28Speaker 2: all the time when I take photos with fans of
- 57:30Speaker 2: how stupid I fucking look. And then when I do die,
- 57:33Speaker 2: they're going to use one of these dumb fucking photos
- 57:34Speaker 2: of me, like half closed eyes, looking the other way, blurry, dumbheaded.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Every time I take a photo, I'm sure I look
- 57:39Speaker 2: like a fucking idiot when I take one on the road.
- 57:42Speaker 2: So when people want photos now, I always go, hey, man.
- 57:44Speaker 2: They go, hey, can I get a photo? I go, yeah,
- 57:46Speaker 2: can I selfie it? So I can just take it
- 57:48Speaker 2: of us. That way I know I'm like, hey, then
- 57:50Speaker 2: I know what I look like instead of like a fat, dumb,
- 57:54Speaker 2: red moron. They deleted my hair. Oh, disappeared my hair.
- 57:57Speaker 2: That's what it was.
- 57:58Speaker 1: They disappeared my hair.
- 57:59Speaker 2: They disappeared my hair.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Dude, I'm hanging out with– I was with Kid Rock
- 58:04Speaker 1: the other night and he calls Trump.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Dude, it's like fucking– He's got him on speed dial?
- 58:07Speaker 1: It's like 1 a.m. He calls him. He's like, let's go.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Trump answers. They're fucking talking. I'm like, dude, what is
- 58:13Speaker 1: going on?
- 58:14Speaker 2: How is his house, by the way?
- 58:15Speaker 1: It was awesome.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Kid Rock's house is sick. I've heard it's wild. It
- 58:18Speaker 2: looks like the White House. Is that true? He's a
- 58:19Speaker 2: sweet dude. Bob's a nice guy, man. He's thoughtful.
- 58:25Speaker 1: He's Kid Rock, but he's also a fucking complete fucking animal.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like the White House, right? It's a
- 58:31Speaker 2: dupe of the White House?
- 58:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it right there.
- 58:33Speaker 2: God, that's bananas to me.
- 58:35Speaker 1: And you can see it from town if you're at
- 58:37Speaker 1: a restaurant. It's pretty cool.
- 58:39Speaker 2: It's perched up on the hill.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:41Speaker 2: That's Nashville? Or where is that? Yeah, that's in Nashville.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Dude, last week we went to NBA Youngboy, which was dope.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I went and watched Ella Langley play, which was awesome.
- 58:51Speaker 1: And this kid, Dylan Marlowe. Have you ever heard of him?
- 58:55Speaker 2: I don't think so, but I'm really bad when it
- 58:56Speaker 2: comes to that kind of stuff. That group I was
- 58:58Speaker 2: playing in the hallway, I'm in love with them, and
- 59:00Speaker 2: I forget their name.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Oh, Cameron Marlowe, sorry. Dylan Marlowe is great. I've watched him,
- 59:04Speaker 1: but uh Cameron Marlowe this guy is this.
- 59:06Speaker 2: His brother are they related no no oh wow handsome
- 59:11Speaker 2: fucking dude yeah I didn't look at him like that
- 59:13Speaker 2: I am I'm looking at him like that yeah fuck
- 59:15Speaker 2: him then I might I always figure half of it's
- 59:18Speaker 2: gotta be talent half's gotta be handsome he's a handsome cat.
- 59:21Speaker 1: You know I will say this now that I think
- 59:23Speaker 1: about it a little bit more which I'm not gonna
- 59:24Speaker 1: think about a lot he's a little bit handsome but
- 59:26Speaker 1: he is bro sings like god I mean just like
- 59:29Speaker 1: country I don't even know, gospel, country, it's just like
- 59:33Speaker 1: it's a lot.
- 59:33Speaker 2: God's music.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Phenomenal, though. And then we went and saw your boy,
- 59:36Speaker 1: Dermot Kennedy, the other night. He's Irish.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, one of my own.

- 1:02:21Speaker 1: because I've been watching a lot of videos on TikTok.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: I went down a rabbit hole. There's a really pretty
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: woman who goes to the gathering of the juggalos, and
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: she gives you tips on how to operate in that space.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Do you know what the poo dollar is? So at
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: the juggalo, when you go to ICP shows, there'll be
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: money on the ground all over the place, but it's
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: wrapped in poo. Somebody pooed in it, and then they
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: film you picking up a poo dollar. And she's giving
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you tips on how to not get caught picking up
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: poo dollars and Oh, that's good.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: That's very sweet of her.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Is she a cool chick? Let's see if we have it.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: She seems great. I mean, I love watching her videos.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: She's giving you tips of the gathering of the juggalos.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: There's a girl right there.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Is that her?
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: People get so fucked up here that they pass out
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: for 12 hours and don't feel or hear or see
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: a thing.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Because they're asleep.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: It's the Gathering of.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: The Juggalos in Thornville, Ohio.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: The Gathering of the Juggalos is a fucking 12 out
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: of 10, dude.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: This chick is fucked up, huh?
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: They're throwing full cans of Faygo at people.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And they're taking wristbands.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: And so when you're just like a dead body laying
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: on your cot for 12 hours, people come up to
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: you and fuck with all of your shit, dude. Enjoying
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: a 12-hour nap.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Costs three points.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: You've got to have a tent.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: You've got to have a safe place to sleep. Because
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: I know a lot of ninjas that are out here
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: passing out on the grass and just laying there. Because
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: they got in with their last bucks, they don't have shit.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: So they're passing out on the road wherever they can,
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: sleep until the sun comes up, dude. We're here to gather,
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: we're here to have a good fucking time.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: We're here to not give a fuck.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Because society doesn't accept us, so we're going to accept
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: everybody that's here.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Being accepted, plus 20 points.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Those people are asleep, you idiot.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't mess with people that are sleeping, dude.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: He's just recharging after being partied out all day.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Dude, that chick, is that a lesbian? Who was that lady?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: That's crazy. She's AI, dude. This is the new world.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: We'll never know if these people are real. The amount
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: of times I'm fooled now by AI is getting out
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: of control.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Also, I don't know why Sora, that's what's called.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: That's a new thing.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Sora is making more. Maybe it's my feed. There's more
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Kobe Bryant videos than I've ever seen. And they have
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: him just, yeah, they have him like dunking on old
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: women in the gym and shit.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: This is Otani's mom.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Oh, that's Otani's mom.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: That's a badminton champ right there.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Is that Sora or that's real?
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: That's Sora.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: That's Sora.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: But that, how would I know? You were like, oh,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: Otani's mom is a champ. How would I know?
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And it's not even as great as it can be.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: It's going to be weird. What do you think happens
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: with the future of, like, will they still continue to
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: use actors? What will they do?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: I don't know, man. I talked to a guy literally
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: yesterday who creates, he has a company that does simulators
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: for golf, right? And he was talking to me about
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: the simulation technology that they use for golf. And then
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: he's like, eventually, you may not even have to need
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: to go play the course. We will have everything feel here,
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: smell like it will feel like you're in there. The
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: temperature will be the same as it is on the location.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: You'll feel like you're playing with your group. Like you
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: will be, I mean, we're uploaded into that, into that,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: you know, that, that metaverse or whatever. If it, when
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: he was talking about it, cause he was super intellectual
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: and I'm, I'm an idiot. And it scared me a
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: little bit. Cause I thought, well then are they going
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: to need, are they going to need that stuff? I mean,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: I just think, I don't know what the business is
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: going to look like, but I do know live entertainment
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: will always, you will need to go see somebody live.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I hope I'm praying that people will still want to
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: go feel that human interaction. You know, in the same
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: way that like young people are getting into more analog shit,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: you know, this guy I was talking to yesterday, his
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: son is a young man and he was like, he
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: likes records. He likes CDs and tapes. He thinks it's
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: cool because it's throwback, you know? And I think that
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: will have a resurgence in its own right. But eventually
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: everything is going to be so digital. It will, it'll
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: be an afterthought. There'll be, I don't know. I hate
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: to think of it because I do want creators to
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: still create, but I think one of the only forms
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: that will exist, unfortunately, would be live. I'm probably wrong,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: but I think people still want to see people live.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: But as far as entertainment goes, if you think someone's
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: not going to get home after a 12-hour workday where
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: they busted their ass doing something all day long, they
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: get home, they kiss their kids and their wife, they
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: put their kids to bed, and they sit down on
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: the couch, and instead of scrolling, they go, Hey, will
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: you show me a movie where The Rock is a
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: pancake chef and he's got to get into a fist
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: fight over overcooked pancakes with Jason Statham? And it's like, bum, bum.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: And that's what they make. You know what I mean? Like,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: you know that's going to happen. I don't think it's healthy,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: but you know that's going to happen.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Or like, it's my wife's birthday. Can you make a collage?
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: I forgot a gift. Can you make something right now
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: and 3D print it? It's in your fucking living room already.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Like, remember in Back to the Future when they made
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: that pizza?
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Do you remember that when they're in the kitchen? You
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: bring up that photo. It was so ominous. It was
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: so ahead of its time. They're in the kitchen.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Is it a medium pizza?
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: It's like a little– it's this big.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Personal pan pizza.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Yeah, personal pan. But then once they put it in
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: the machine, it comes out as a full pizza. And
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: I thought that's 100% in the making right now. Like
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: there's no chance that they're not– look at that. It
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: starts as that. And that was so long ago. And
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: they put it in something, and it expands to what
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: it truly is now.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Here's the crazy thing. It'll all taste like pizza, right?
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: It'll taste like all the flavors, but none of it
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: will be actual.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: It won't be pizza.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: No.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: No. It'll be some sort of digital makeup of a
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: thing that resembles pizza. There she is, putting the little
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: tiny thing from Pizza Hut on the tray in the center.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Black & Decker, shout out, plug. Good company plug right there.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: The hydrator.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Hydrating. That's what it said. Hydrating. That's how I would
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: do it. I would do impressions of all those noises.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Look at that. You think that's not common? It's common.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: And that was in 1989. That looks good.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Brother, that looks delicious.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: And not an ounce of it will be pizza. You're right.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: It'll just be whatever's in the ether.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: What's that meat company? I can't believe it's not meat
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: or whatever. Or meat.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: I know. Impossible meat. Beyond meat.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Beyond meat. Yeah, dude. It's just like the technology is
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: getting crazy. Did you see that thing with... With AWS
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: and the beds?
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: What do you mean with like, what do they do
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: with beds?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: AWS crash causes 2,000 smart beds to overheat and get
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: stuck upright.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: My dad, I can just, I physically can see my
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: dad being like, it's too fucking hot. What's wrong? My
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: mom yelling at my mom.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: You're sweating.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: Move over.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: God damn it.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Move over.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: He doesn't know that it's the fucking bed. The AWS
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: over eating.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Move over. He's got her out in the yard.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: In the garage when I sleep. God damn it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: The outage, a major American web service, American web services
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: outage on October 20th had the unexpected side effect of
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: causing chaos in bedrooms across US. As owner of eight sleeps, $ 2, 000
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: plus pod mattress covers, found their smart beds had no
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: offline mode, and were stuck at high temperatures and odd
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: positions in the night.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Just sweating like this all night? That is awful. $ 2, 000 mattress, too.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: I mean, good God. You're a Totino's. You've become a
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: Totino's pizza roll. Hydrating. Well, this is the problem. Tech
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: is getting too tech. You remember in high school, the
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: one kid that had a.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: A waterbed. There was always one kid in high school
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: that had a waterbed. Like, we knew one dude whose
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: mom and dad would let him have a waterbed. Yeah,
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: or their dad had one. Their dad had one, and
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: they got to use it. Like, I knew a kid
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: who had a waterbed.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew a kid. He was the only child.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: His parents were old, so he was a late-life accident,
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: and he got, bro... He had all the toys. We
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: could do whatever we wanted at his house. His parents
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: didn't give a shit because we were in high school.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: They were like 60. They didn't give a shit. They
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: were fucking retired and we were 14 years old. So
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: they weren't, they were on vacation. They were in Boca.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like we were kicking it.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: We got to do whatever we wanted. He got, and
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: he had, I remember he had a Cobra Mustang, 97, 98,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: and he had a Ford Lightning SVT. And I remember
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: most of us didn't even have a car and he
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: had two His dad taught me stick shift on a 19,
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I want to say this right, 76 or 67 Stingray.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Which one was it? Was it 76 or 67 Corvette Stingray?
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: He taught me stick shift. That was one right there.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: He had all the toys, huh?
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: 76.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: That's what it was. 76 Stingray. I learned stick shift
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: on that in a church parking lot. This guy's dad
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: taught me how to do it. And that, dude. I
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: thought he was like, they're the coolest people on earth.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: He had a waterbed. Oh, bro.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Give him my email, dude.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Half of it. I'll give him half your email, bro.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: But I remember he had the waterbed and I thought
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: how that was the flyest shit on earth. And then
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: one day he was like, no, man, you get stuck
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: in that thing all the time. You'll slide into a
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: corner and you'll be slunched against the sea. You're waking
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: up like a pirate, dude. He's like, it sucks.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Or somebody puts a little fucking bass in that bitch.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: You're sleeping, bro, and there's a little trout just coming
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: up near your mouth just because the salt from your
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: drool is going through.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: He's got to fill with koi fish. Bobby's fucking shitting
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: in there the first week he gets it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Like, dude, do not shit in your waterbed.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Do not shit on the waterbed, please. It'll move.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Dude, it's just like the technology is just crazy. Like
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: we had Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, on, and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: he's a big advocate. He does a lot of fundraising.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: and donates a lot of money to cybersecurity. That's like
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a big world that he's involved in. And he says
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: that like, yeah, there could be a hijacking of like
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: a product where suddenly all the cars just go and
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: drive off a bridge. There's nothing you can do.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: That scares the shit out of me.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Or all the Teslas just go to a fucking
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: gay bar or the Jets game or whatever, which is
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: pretty much the same thing, dude. But just imagine you're
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: sitting in your car and you're like, what the fuck?
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Everybody's going to Trenton, New Jersey or something.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Just at the same time.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: And there's nothing you can do.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that scares me. Like when I get in my
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: car sometimes and it tells you it updated, it's like
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: updated a map without you even saying it's okay. They're
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: eventually going to update and in total have ownership and
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: control over where you go. You won't even be able to,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: they'll tell you where to go. time for a check-in.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: It'll just take my ass to the doctor. You're avoiding this.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Let's go. You know, like, I don't want to go
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: to the dentist. We're going to the dentist. Like, I
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: think it's just going to, technology is going to start
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: to own us in a way where we won't have
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: to make, we won't even be able to make decisions.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: And we'll just eventually, generationally, people will just be okay
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: with it because that's the way of life, right? In
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: the same way that like, I remember going out to
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: dinner when I was a kid, I remember when my
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: parents were, when my mom was dating my stepdad before we,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: before they got married, they'd go out to dinner and
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: they would let me come sometimes. And I'd be under
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: the table with tablecloth and all they would see was
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: a little hand, grab a French fry and then go
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: back under. And that was my little like adventure time, right?
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: And it was my little play world under there. And
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: then now kids all have iPads and iPhones and I'm
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: not criticizing, I'm not a parent. So I don't know,
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: but it's so normal that when you see a kid
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: without an iPad or an iPhone, you're like, what is that?
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: What the fuck is he doing? Was he thinking and
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: coloring and talking?
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, who's this mutant?
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Who's this fucking mutant?
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Something must be wrong with him. Right.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: You're like, what's going on with that kid? But it's
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: become the norm. So I think the future of tech
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: will be, it would be abnormal to make decisions. We'll
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: be gone and it'll become so custom for your life
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: to wake up and, good morning, Theo. today and on
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: your bathroom mirror, what you have to do. Not what
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: you want, you don't get to want. You have to
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: do all this shit.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Right, these are the things you have to take care of.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: You must do this. This is your day.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: And that will be built in your car. And your
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: car will know your toilet. Your car will be like,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: your shit was bad.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: More water? Straw. Just make you suck it. Time to
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: jerk off. No, wait a minute. You must come.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: That's the commercial?
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Yeah. You can't go to work until you get a colonoscopy.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: There'll just be stuff like that. In your car.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: It'll just be in your car. Please bend over.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Performing colonoscopy. You're on the seat.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Your seat will be able to tell just through a
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: fart or something if you're going to lie to your
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: wife that night. Smelling your fart. What did you eat
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: for lunch? I had a salad, it tells your wife.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: He had a burger, a double-double. Wrong! You fucking liar.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Well, dude, I mean, everything's just getting bizarre, dude.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: The only way to get away from it. The only
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: way to get away from it.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Okay, I want to hear this. Oh, and Benjamin got
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: away from it?
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: What do you mean? Oh, get away from tech? I mean,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: he lives out... But he lives on the internet still,
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: so that's the irony of that. He does live on
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: the land or whatever, but the only real way to
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: get away from it is to truly isolate, like genuinely,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: and not ingest anything on the... Not participate in any
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: of it. Like, have you ever seen that woman that
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: lives way out in the Arctic tundra, and she lives alone,
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: and she refuels planes for.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I bet she's got a hard pussy on her.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Oh, brother, brother. And she lives way out in the
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: middle of nowhere. And she's kind of this, she lives
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: completely isolated. Oh, Life Below Zero. Sorry, that's what it is. Sue.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Sue from Life Below Zero. Yeah, way out in Alaska.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: Way northern Alaska. Kavik. And she's alone, bro. And there
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: is nobody in sight.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Well, she's a pretty lady.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: But this is truly, until the cameras got there, she's disconnected.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: She lives off the clothes that either she makes or
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: that are given to her. She lives off her own
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: energy and power. She makes her own food. This would
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: be the only way. Truly, you could act, dig a well, disconnect.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Out there huffing gasoline, too. That's what I'd be doing.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Once in a while, you need a bump. I mean,
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: you know, the evenings get lonely. You do want to
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: huff a little gas.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't want you to do cocaine out there. I
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: hate doing cocaine and being very cold.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: You want to be hot when you're doing it. Being
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: freezing cold and doing cocaine. Well, she's huffing a little
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: bit of gas just to give her something to think
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: about at night.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Dude, but that would be crazy if they had like
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: a new Bravo show out there. It's like cold bitches. Oh,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: it's cold, but these chicks are still bitches.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Steaming hot. But they're still piping hot. What the fuck
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: do you want? Fire.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Polar bears fucking suck.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: You want to refuel?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Loser.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: I like when she talks shit to me, if I'm
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: being honest. Mike Rowe is presenting the whole thing.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Salmon again. No matter how cold the temperature drops.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Andy Cohen in Bravo presents cold bitches.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I'm a bitch.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: That's the tagline of the show. Who is the iciest bitch?
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: It's a competition. Honestly, that's the only way. And that's
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: not us. I'm never going to be able to live
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: off the land. You don't think? I'm a dependent, dude.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: I'm a dependent. Have you ever caught and cleaned something?
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Like you've ever cleaned an animal? Have you ever killed
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: and cleaned an animal?
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Steve Rinella said he'll take me and teach me how
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: to do some stuff like that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Brother, it is daunting.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Dude, my brother put on Facebook, if any people have,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: he just moved into an area in Utah. He put
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: on Facebook, if anybody sees any erroneous squirrels in their
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: area or raccoons, call me up, or doves, and I'll
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: come over and pop them.
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: Off, right?
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Dude, he was fucking in a small town. He had
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: just gotten there because he was just getting into trapping
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: and shit like that.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Sure, sure. set a trap at the end of somebody's
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: fucking ditch or whatever.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: It was crazy. He was not out in the woods.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: He was doing this shit in town, dude.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Just in Salt Lake City. Oh, bro, it was fucking crazy, dude.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: The church called him in. Shit was pretty bad for
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: a bit, but he evened it out. But he learned
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: how to, like, he'll make fresh coon over there if
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we go over there to eat. He'll make, yeah, just
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a pot of squirrel meat. He's into it now.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Are you cleaning something? Like, my grandmother used to do that. Yes.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: In North Carolina, my grandmother, my nanny, They would have chickens,
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: they had all sorts of animals, but she would kill, clean,
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: and cook herself. Doing it, or even being around it,
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: I'm not up for it. I think it's hard to do, man.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: I'm thankful for farmers and people that do that for us,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: because good God, I've been around like deer is getting
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: cut up after I went deer hunting when I was
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: a kid. And I was like, damn, I couldn't do that.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: I just don't know if I could, you would have
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: to at some point for survival, but it takes a
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: lot and it takes kind of a disconnect. You get,
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: you get comfortable with death. You get comfortable with the
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: idea that this is like a mutual agreement between you,
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: the land and the animals and all this stuff. But,
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: I don't think I could ever get to a point
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: when I could disconnect and not, I like people too
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: much to be isolated. I'm a little social squirrel. I
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: need to be, like, you know, when I talk about,
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: you know, I've taken big chunks off from drinking and stuff,
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: and we have alcohol at my house, but I don't know,
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: I couldn't tell you the last time I drank a
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: beer at my house without friends or family around. Like,
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: my wife and I will never, like, if we cook dinner,
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: we're not having a glass of wine like people kind
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: of do with dinner.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Did you do Sober October?
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: No, I'll just take chunks of time. I'll just, I'll
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: pick a time. I don't even, it kind of will
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: hit me and I'll go, I'm going to take some
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: time down and I'll just take a bunch of time
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: down and, you know, just change my perspective on stuff.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: And then, then I'll, you know, go out with a
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: bunch of people and maybe, maybe want to have a
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: drink and then maybe I'll stop again for another couple
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: of weeks or whatever. But, um, But I did find that, like,
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: even if it's at my house right there, I'm not interested.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: I only really enjoy those activities when I'm with other
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: people because I love the social aspect. To me, it's
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: more like, can we go out together? Let's go get
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: a nice dinner. I went to a nice dinner last
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: night with my business manager, a sweet and both of them.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: And it's just I like that communal. That's the Irish
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: in me for sure. That's like sit around, have a cocktail,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: tell a story, have a laugh, joke. You know what
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: I mean? Talk shit. Irish.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Yeah. There's nothing better. I mean, that's the purity of life.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I think community.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Oh. And just being around your friends, dude, that's been
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the toughest thing sometimes for me about like, like my friends,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: most of them are married and stuff. And so sometimes
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: people are like, dude, like, like I'll hang out with
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: like kind of younger folks sometimes, but it's like, there's
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: nobody else, dude. It's like, everybody's married with kids, with kids.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: And so they have families or whatever. And, uh, so
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, sometimes you just get, you know, like
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: you just find people that are still available kind of,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you know, I'm not complaining about it, but it's just like, um,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: or maybe I am complaining about it.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: No, you're not.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: But yeah, it's just, it's definitely different. I think, uh, but,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: but the, anyway, dude, the greatest thing is just fucking
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: being around people. Like I'll go hang out, like sometimes
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: around the Vanderbilt football team, dude, because it's young dude,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: they're fucking, everybody's having a good time. The vibes are up.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: And it's just fun. It's like, oh, this is fun, dude.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I'll go sit over at the players' cafeteria and have
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: lunch over there sometimes with the guys.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Dude, we fucking sit there and clown for an hour, bro.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: I mean, just everybody clowning, dying laughing. It's like it's
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: the greatest thing. There's nothing better than being around some–
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: it's even like guys that work on– like in Blue
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Collar Job, just that lunch break where you get to
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: sit around and fucking laugh, talk shit, even if it's
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: the same shit you talked yesterday. It's just those moments.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: Community matters. I think it's really hard to be alone.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: By the way, that's not, you're not complaining. I have
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: the opposite effect. So like, since we don't have kids
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: and we're in our 40s, most of my friends that
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: are married do have kids, so it's difficult to hang
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: out with them. I found that more and more is
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: kind of a hiccup of life. But so a lot
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: of our friends now are in their late 50s because
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: their kids are already grown. So they're out of high school,
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: they're off in college or whatever. So they're kind of,
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: you know, they're empty nesters again. So then we hang
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: out with them. So I find myself hanging out with
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: older now couples because their kids are already grown versus
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: my closest friends now, they all have babies or four
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: or five-year-olds and it's great to see them, but it's
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: really hard because their balance is so difficult. And I
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: don't judge it because I get how hard it is. Like,
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: I know that's hard for them to go, dude, we
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: got one on the way and this one is this.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: And so a lot of our friends, like we took
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: a vacation with, another couple and, um, and their child
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: has grown. So it's great. So now we get to just,
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: it's just couples again. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Like the old days and you know, it's, it's, I
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: do have thoughts about it sometimes where I'm like, it
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: is very interesting how that is my section of friends
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: now is much older than us only because all my
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: friends have that occup, they're occupied with, with soccer and,
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: you know, and getting these kids in there on their schedule.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: So it's hard, but It's hard to see, it's hard to,
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: I'm trying to, it's hard that you lose your friends,
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: quote unquote, for a couple of years when they're going
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: through this growing times with their kids. That's been the
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: hardest thing for me growing up is like now being
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: in my 40s, not spending as much time with people
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: that I wanted to spend time with. It's really hard. Yeah,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: it is a bummer. They're busy and there's nothing you
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: can do about it.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: And they need to be busy. They're being a parent
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: or they're taking care of their family and stuff like that.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: It's even tough when it's like spending time with your
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: own parents and stuff or step families and stuff, because
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: it's like, you know, it's a time where your life
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: is kind of like you're working a lot and not
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: that you can't make time, but it's, you know, it's like,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: It is harder to make time. I I'm going home.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: I go home to Chicago now. I'm trying to go
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: home at least every month, at least once a month.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: That's my goal. That's great.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: I think I need to make, I just want to
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: make more time as my parents have gotten older. it's
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: more important to me than ever. A lot of personal reasons,
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: just because of my connection to my family. And, you know,
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: they're getting a little bit older. So I just, life
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: hits a little bit. And I think that happens in
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: your 40s. You start to see your family, you know,
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: you start to see it. And so then I've started
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: to dedicate it. So if I'm anywhere near the Midwest
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: or I'm going East, I'm almost always going to go home.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: You're popping in.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: I have to. I feel like it's a Not I
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: have to. I want to. I just mean like I've
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: dedicated it to myself to be like, go home. Go
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: see mom. Go see dad. Go see, you know, my
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: childhood friends that are living at home.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you've always been close to your guys.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a friend literally landing today who comes
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: into my house today. I'm excited as shit. I just
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: think like you try to really covet these relationships and
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: it's really hard because you get busy and no one
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: talks about that. And it really does get hard. You
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: still love these people as much as you ever did.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: But life gets, life gets in the way of friendship
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: sometimes because they get busy. Yeah.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: And their patterns change and their responsibility is like somebody
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: wants to have a family. And so they get a
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: wife and they start to have a family and stuff.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: And it's like, there's not, there's not not room for
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: you in there, but it's a tough room. You have to,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you know, kind of get it where you can and
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: sneak in where you can. And that person's, uh, objectives
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: are different at the time, you know?
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's even harder if you don't like the spouse.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah. I'm lucky. I don't have, I don't have
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: really any relationships where I don't get on with my
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: friend's spouse or partner.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: That's gotta be the worst.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: But my wife, oh, there's Cold Bitches.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: There it is.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: Andy Cohen produced Cold Bitches.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: Oh, Laura Loomer's in it.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Is that the girl from The Office, the blonde girl?
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: Is that Angela from The Office is on it? And that's,
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: and who's the girl on the right? Is that Isla Fisher?
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: This is a real show?
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: No, dude, that's AI did what we said.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: Oh my God, dude.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: That's insane.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: I'm like looking at these chicks.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: That's Anna Kendrick on the far right. Sorry, that's who
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: that is. And who's on the far left?
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: That's Kira Soltanovich, isn't it?
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: That is Kira.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: She's not a cold bitch, though.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: No, she's not. She's the shit. I love her.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: But I could see her casting him in just for that.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Well, none of these women are. We just say who
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: they look like. For humor, yeah. Yeah, who they look like.
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: I love Kira, by the way. She's so fucking funny.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Dude, one thing I do feel bad about when we
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: were taping the special, it was just some moments where
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: it was like, we got to figure this out. Bonnie
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: McFarlane came and she was just on the show. She's great.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I don't know if I'd ever met her, actually. I
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: know Rich, but I just had never met Bonnie.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: We all know Rich.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: But she had to go back out, like after she'd
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: already done a set, dude. She was like a saving
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: grace of that.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: I gotta text her and thank her. She's an incredible comedian.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: And honestly, one of those people where you're like, this
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: sounds disrespectful, but I mean it in the nicest way.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: It's like, I would hope that she was so much
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: more famous because she's successful, but I feel like the
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: world should know her because she's so fucking funny. Some
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: people are so good that you're like, Everyone should know you.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: It's creepy that people, that you're successful, but like the
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: world should know how good you are. That happens in
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: comedy a lot where you're like, how does not everyone
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: know who this person is? They're so fucking funny.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. It's, yeah,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: it's unbelievable.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: It's, it's a pattern of the, it's a pattern of
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: the world of comedy that was very difficult. Whenever someone's like,
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: why this thing, not that thing. I can't tell you.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: Some things are a shoe in, right? Like when I
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: first met Shane, That was a shoo-in. I knew for
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: a fact Shane was going to be very– you know
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: No, just his look.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. This one? I just knew when I met Shane.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: That's so perfect. I knew when I met Shane. You
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: were like, well, everyone's going to know Shane.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: Yeah, some of his looks just encapsulate– it's not a generate,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: but it's so encapsulating.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: A mood.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: A mood that people relate to, yeah.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: Such a specific mood. He's got a couple of– Dude, dude.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: Yeah. He's one of the best. I mean, he's a
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: once in a generational talent, but some people, you know,
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: are going to, but other people you're like, how come
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: that person is not as, they're so funny. Like they're so,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: you know, I don't know. I think it's unexplainable, but.
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: I was so grateful that she even came and was
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: on the show, but I got to message her and just.
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Show her some love.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: I just took a break after that all, after everything,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: I was just like, this is just too, it just,
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: it just was all a lot. I just needed to
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: like some time to just kind of like decompress at
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: home and just do some things that I like doing.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: Do you have a hobby that takes you away from
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: all the shit?
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: Oh, I've been going to SEC football almost every weekend
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: in different cities.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: But do you have a hobby that you can do
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: alone that takes you away from everything?
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I like to do yoga. I like to work
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: out at home, just going to recovery meetings, things like that.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: So those are fun things. I would like to maybe
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: get a new hobby. I think if I get a
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: new house, I could get a dog or something like that.
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: That's a good hobby.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: So that would be great to have, even just to
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: have that.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: That's a great responsibility.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: I was just thinking about this. Oh, how was the
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: comedy festival you guys went to? Was it good?
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Riyadh? Yeah. Wild, dude. It was crazy. Well, the backlash
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: on the internet was even more insane. It was insane.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: That stuff seemed ridiculous to me, though. Did you feel
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: like it was?
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: Everyone is a walking contradiction and there's a million miles
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: of hypocrisy in people's arguments. And the fact that the
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: community was attacking each other was very strange to me. But,
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: you know, like overall, my feeling about it was Jimmy
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Carr said something that I thought was kind of a
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: powerful statement. He said, I don't always tend to look
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: at where a country has been because they're all flawed,
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: but I'd like to see where they're going. And he says,
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I'd like to think that where they're going is an
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: attempt at progress and future and growth. And people may
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: disagree with it, but when we went over there looking
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: at the faces of 27, 28-year-old kids that my own
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: American ignorance, I was like, well, they're going to be
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: riding on camels and they're all wearing cover-ups. They were
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: dressed like street kids for the most part. It's 27-year-old
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: 28 year old kids who were in jeans and t-shirts
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: and they just wanted to see us. And we met
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: the fans afterwards and it was kind of a beautiful moment,
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: you know, and I haven't dug in on the whole thing. Well,
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: I haven't paid a lot of attention to it cause
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: it was a lot of noise and hate.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: And, uh, yeah, I haven't delved into it.
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: Well, it's fine.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: People can feel how they feel about it. That's fine.
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: That the world will keep spinning. Um, but there's a
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: lot of hypocrisy out there. There's a lot of hypocrisy
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: and a lot of people contradict. We're all walking contradictions, right?
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: So when you start throwing stones, just make sure, you know,
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Just make sure that your plate's clean. Because I just
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: feel like something that you've said six months ago, you
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: may disagree with today. And I think at the core
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: root of it, we forget sometimes that we're just comedians.
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: And you and I, when we do shows like this,
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: is like, we want to have fun and make each
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: other laugh and joke around and bring humor to this
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: whole space. And when the community begins to attack each other,
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: I just think it's a detriment to comedy as a whole.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: I don't take myself that seriously. Unless I'm on the
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: golf course and then I'm fucking dead serious. No, no, no, no. No,
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: but I don't take myself that serious. I'm a fucking
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: stupid clown. I'm an ASU graduate, barely made it out
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: of high school, who went to school for communication because
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: I was confused about what I wanted out of my
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: life and my career. And my whole goal was to
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: make people laugh and feel good. And what comes along
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: with success is responsibility to some degree. Um, but the
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: public's idea of my responsibility and mine are two different things.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Mine is to spread love and comedy and make people
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: feel good and laugh and entertain people.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Amen.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: And also, um, and also live my life and enjoy
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: it as much as I can before they tell you to,
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: you're not funny anymore to get out of here. So
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: if there's anything I can do, I'm just segueing naturally.
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: My biggest thing now is like, can I make people
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: feel good and also do better? do good. And I'm
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: doing this thing on December 6th in LA City Valley College,
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: Southern California Special Olympics. I'm doing a fundraiser. It's called
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: Ho Ho Homers. Come hit home runs off your favorite celebrities.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: If you're in town, I'd love to have you.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: I might be in town that week.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: I'd love it. December 6th is Saturday, LA City Valley College.
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: It's for Southern California Special Olympics. And stuff like that
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: means more to me than all the noise and the
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: bullshit of the internet of opinions over what a comic
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: should or shouldn't do or whatever that world is. And
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: that to me is the most important thing is like,
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: can I do good, feel good, uplift other people and
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: comedians in the community?
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: And then the rest can fuck off into space. Cause
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: I'm just trying to do my best, man. I mean,
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: fucking leave me alone sometimes my good God, you know?
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: It's well, it's just the, and the media is just
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: so dumb. They all, they care just like about creating controversy. I,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: it's funny. I didn't think anything of it. I, uh, like,
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: like I've got asked to go to Qatar again in
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: a few weeks and I think I'm going to go
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: over there.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: Like I had a great time when I was there. Um,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: last time it was so cool to see a lot
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: of the guys there that are, it's a Muslim country.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: A lot of the guys we're talking to at first,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: you see their outfits, bring up the picture of us. Um, and,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: but then you talk to him, the guy's like, oh,
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: I fucking went to Oregon. I went to university of Oregon,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: go dogs. Like we think like all these people like live.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: In sandcastles and are fucking like, you know what I'm saying? Like,
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: there you are wearing the garb. I also, that was
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: another thing we asked if that was disrespectful. If we
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: were in the guys wanted to give us one, they
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: were like, Oh no, it was so cool to have.
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: They were very nice. And, and also, you know, I was,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: I was writing jokes about it. Cause I was like,
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: I don't know if I'll ever joke about it, but
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: I think it was funny when someone's like, you know,
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: They're all terrorists. And you're like, 8 million people in
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: Riyadh are terrorists? All of them are terrorists? What are
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: you talking about? And they go, well, they did 9-11.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: And you're like, I thought we said we did 9-11.
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: I thought, remember when you guys were all like, we
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: did it? I thought they said we did it. I
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: just think there's a- Well, we all know who did it.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of walking contradictions.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Oh, 100%.
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: Well, so it's hard for me to have, it's hard
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: for anyone to yell so loud about something to me
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: because I go, well, nothing is perfect. But if you're trying,
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: if your intentions are right, If your intentions are good,
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: I do believe there's hope for growth and people are
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: allowed to be mad about it. And I just, what
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: I didn't like, what I don't like is in the community,
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: stabbing and going after other people in the community because
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: I just think it's an odd move. I don't understand it.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: Go off. If that's how you want to live your life,
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: enjoy the drama. But I'm in a room, I just don't,
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck about your judgmental opinion because
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: you yourself are not on high. Unless you're not, are
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: you tweeting your hate at me from a phone that
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: was mined from lithium by people that were trapped? What
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: are you talking about? Who made your car? Where'd you
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: get gas? Who made your clothes? Unless you are Sue
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: in Alaska and you live off of yourself in the land,
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: you don't have a lot of room to talk. You
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: really don't, I'm sorry. I just think.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: And none of us, in a lot of ways, you're right.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: There's so much hypocrisy, man. Yeah. It's like, I think
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: we were committing hypocrisy without even realizing it sometimes.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Yeah. We are walking contradictions. The human condition is to
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: be a walking contradiction. Brother, when I was a kid,
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: I remember feeling like in no world do I feel
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: like I want to get married. I was like, I
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: don't want to get married or have a family. I
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: pine for that now as an adult. I wanted to
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: have a family. We couldn't have a family. And that
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: changed my perspective. And I remember being in college being like,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: I don't think I'm ever doing that shit. That's stupid,
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: that's foolish, that's not for me. I wanna be a comic,
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: that's all I need is this and this and this.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: And your views change, your goals change, your affiliations change,
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: your friendships change. You keep changing. You know, when they
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: wrote in your yearbook, never change. That was the worst
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: advice anybody could ever fucking give you. You should change
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: a lot. And you should keep growing and changing. I mean, fuck, man.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're still sitting there playing pencil break and
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: fucking eating your buddy's boogers so you can have money
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: to buy candy at lunch, dude, then you're a sick
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: fucking dude.
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: Yeah, please change. You can't play paper football forever. It
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: is fun, but my God, I was nasty at that shit, dude.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Dude, that shit was... But this was the rule, dude.
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: Right, this.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: So fucking dumb.
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: Meanwhile, you're supposed to be learning, and years later, you're like,
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: why am I dumb?
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: But, dude, you're right, dude. Yeah, the infighting on most
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: comedians I didn't understand. People sent me, there was a
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: clip from Marc Maron where he, like, said something about
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: me in his comedy special.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: And it was like, Theo would interview Hitler.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, it's kind of crazy that you
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: say that.
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: Well, he's dead, first of all. You can't.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: Well, also, the Nelk boys just interviewed him. So... what
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: are we even talking about?
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: What are we talking about?
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: Well, I think that too, the other side of the
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: Marin coin, which like Mark loves to start shit.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: That's like his, he loves this right here.
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: We, we probably, I shouldn't even, we shouldn't even say, yeah,
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: we don't have to, but I mean, he loves to
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: start shit. Like that's a part of his, that's his
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: discourse is talking shit. And a piece of me knows
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: when we talk shit about people, we love, we joke
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: around about each other. Uh, there's love behind it. And
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: I don't know what the, if there's love behind with
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: you and him, I don't know your relationship. The internet
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: seems to know, they think they know fucking everyone's relationship,
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: which is, even more mind-boggling. But I do think.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's always been fine.
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: I always think if you joke about somebody, if it's
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: funny and it's in jest, it's obvious. And if it's not,
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: it tends to be a little bit more obvious. And
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: so I don't understand that kind of approach. I don't
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: get it. But I also know we can all touch
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: a lot of bases, right? Like in the sense of like,
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: I've known Mark for a long time. He fucking annoys
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: the shit out of me. I also, it's like in
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: the comedy buddy space, I have a lot of guys
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: that I, you get on with sometimes and then you
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: fall out and then you get on and then you
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: get pissed off and then they do these things. But
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: we're all in this co-worker space. I do think you shouldn't,
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: I do think there's no necessary need to go after
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: other people. I don't get it. But a lot of
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: times it's not my war to fight or our wars
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: to fight. So I let people go do it. People
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: shoot at us. And I'm like, whatever, man. I'm just
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: going to still make dumb fucking comedy for my fans
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: until I'm dead or until they tell me to go away.
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: I'm just going to have tried. I'm trying to have
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: the most fun I can with my stupid little dumpling
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: in our little studio until they tell us to go away.
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: And I don't give a fuck about the drama. I mean,
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: the drama is such like, grow up, give me a
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: fucking break. But you're right, you don't deserve to be
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: attacked in a special. That's very strange. I think even
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: Mark would admit, someone I've known for a long time,
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: not been close to, but we've known him because of
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: the store. Someone who I think he himself would admit,
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: I would hope, that wasn't the best move to put
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: you in a special. I mean, why?
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: Why?
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Sometimes I write jokes about
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: my dad and I'm like, why did I put that
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: in a special? You know what I mean? Like a
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: friend- or a friend or a colleague for that matter,
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: cause you're probably not friends, but I don't, I just
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know if it's necessary.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Maybe he just meant it as something funny, you know?
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: Well, look, yeah, the core of it was probably him
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: trying to write a joke about it, but I don't
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: think you're close enough for that to be, for that
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: to have that kind of, you.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: Know, maybe to say, Hey, what do you think about this?
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: That would have been great. If you, if you, if
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: you say to somebody, Hey man, are you cool with me?
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: Doing this joke. Yeah. Or I'm just letting you know,
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: I'm doing this joke.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: But the media also likes to fucking make shit. It's like, Yeah.
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: What our country is complicit in so much shit. Like,
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: you know, it's like one thing that I thought was
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: like go, go into like a Muslim country. Like they
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: have their rules. They have their way of life. It's
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: not my way of life.
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: It's their rules. I don't know what it's like to
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: grow up there and to live there. I don't know what,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: what like pros and cons are of having like such
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: like staunch beliefs or like sticking to such doctrines and
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: stuff like that. Like, I don't know. I can go
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: and look and see, but for me to say that
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: your country needs to be just like our country, which
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: has been complicit in a lot of fucked up stuff.
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: The most fucked up shit.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: Not the people, but the government.
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: Who the fuck am I to go say, you know
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: what I'm saying? Like, it's really hard for me to
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: be like, you guys need to be more like us
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: when it's like, well, look at all the fucking bullshit
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: that we're being shoehorned into. Right, that's a perfect statement
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: that we're being shoehorned into.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: Well, here's the argument, right?
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: And also, we don't know what the fuck we're talking about,
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: so if you disagree with us, that's fine, dude.
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: That's fine, too.
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: I don't care. Well, that's what people say. They go, well,
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: you didn't get paid by the people who got paid
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: by the government. I say, well, yeah, promoters and companies
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: bring people in all the time. That's kind of how
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: the globe works as far as entertainment goes. People can't
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: produce a show. Someone has to do it. And I
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: think the idea was, let's bring Western entertainment here, not
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: in an effort to avoid some of the bad shit
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: that's happened, but more to try to change culture to grow.
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: I'm hoping that was my hope for it. And people
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: are like, just say it was about money. It's like, yeah, dude,
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: we perform. for money and to bring comedy to people.
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: These two things can coexist. The idea that someone's like,
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: just say it's all about money. No, dude, it's also
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: about the idea that this is an enticing new world.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: It's like, shit, dude, I've never performed overseas. I've literally
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: never performed anywhere outside. I've done, we did London and Dublin.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: I've never done any other country outside of North America. Yeah,
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: and that was kind of fucking wild to me, dude.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: For sure, especially all you guys and girls, all these
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: comedians going over there at one time.
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: Kind of wild, man.
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: It must have felt otherworldly.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: It did. I mean, it literally was. It felt like a,
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: it felt like a, I was put, it felt like
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: it was in a movie. I was like, this feels so,
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: so out of my own element.
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: And, and.
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: You get any of that.
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: Lebanese food, you better believe it. No way. You get
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: any of that, that Saudi Arabian cocaine of it. No, man.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: Or a little bit of that nose sand.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: No, I got a wicked eye infection instead. I got
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: fucking sand in my eyeball and then fucking. No, but
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: you know what I think at the end of the day.
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: You need a colonoscopy. You're like, this thing's fucking.
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: In my car.
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: And just because you got sand in your eye, like,
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: this thing's fucked, dude. My butthole's dilated now because this fucking,
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: the fuse is broken or whatever. It's fucking just like, dude.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: All you did was brush your teeth and it's like,
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: you're a homosexual or whatever.
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: You're like, what?
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: We're taking you to church. You have the Baptist set up.
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: We're taking you to church.
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: It tells my whole family. It sends them all text messages.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: Andrew's gay. Andrew's gay. Andrew's gay.
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: What?
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: Oh, my God. No. My Jeep did that.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I just took a thick shit early this morning.
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: That thing's fucking overreacting.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: Shut it down.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: Dude, is the government still shut down?
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: Yeah, is that still shut down? Because I have to
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: fly in a day or two, and I'm a little
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: worried about it.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: Pull it up on perplexity. Is the government still shut down?
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: Dude, that's how dumb I am. I don't even understand
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: what that meant when they said the government shut down.
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: I was like, all of it? What do you mean?
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: What does that even mean? They're just not, they're not gathering.
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: The shutdown began on October 1st due to Congress's failure
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: to approve a new budget. And now has lasted 22 days. Dude,
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: I'll tell you this. Everything's privatized now anyway. Dude, have
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: you been to the post office? Dude, I went to
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: the post office the other day. Okay, dude, I went
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: in there. There was, I'm not even joking. This is true.
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: There's two birds fighting over a fucking box. And there
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: was a black woman that worked in there trying to
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: spray them with Lysol to get them out of the facility, dude.
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: And I was like, what the fuck?
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I know that post office. I've been there.
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: What the fuck is happening?
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: Well, they have carrier pigeons are back. Do they got
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: to keep them under control a little bit? Any government
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: building you enter, you're like, this is this will be
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: a fucking nightmare.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: It's all been privatized, dude.
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: It's over. Yeah, it's done. It's done.
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: You have to realize it's a shell. The government, it's
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: just a shell for private companies. Now, that's all it is.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: I mean, look at, they're holding the UFC at the
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: White House, right, which is going to be unreal.
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: In that new office that he built. The new ballroom.
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: The new UFC at the White House is insane.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: But think about that. We're going to be on the
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: lawn of the White House. It's become a performance video.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: And Dana White's going to be inside gambling inside the
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: White House. They'll set up a fucking table for him. Dude,
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: I've seen those videos. This guy betting like millions and
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: millions of dollars. I know he's got it like that.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: But my God, the anxiety of just watching him bet
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: three million bucks makes my insides drop out. Is this
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: UFC 250 on the lawn?
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: This is going to be so crazy. I better be
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: really nice to Joe Rogan this year.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: You're going to get a ticket. You're front row, baby.
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: You're front row. That's insane.
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: UFC plans to hold a historic mixed martial arts event
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: on the South Lawn of the White House.
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: I'm not kidding when I say this. I thought you
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: were fucking around. I thought it was an AI generation.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: I thought that was just a joke, but that is
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: actually the plans to do it.
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: What is that? It's going to be on Trump's birthday.
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: Oh, it's going to be on his birthday.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: I thought it was on the 4th of July.
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: They changed it. They couldn't get that date.
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: Oh, it said that up there. Yeah, okay. They couldn't
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: get Fourth of July. They were booked out for the
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: Fourth of July. The White House was booked. They're booked out.
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: Imagine if they'd unbooked the White House. But that's– you
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? That's where we're at. That's nuts.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Everything– it's all become– everything has become– the post office
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: is because everybody uses Amazon or FedEx now. That's what
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's like– The government, you take your shit
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: to the post office.
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: They don't know where it is. You don't know where
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: it is. It's basically a halfway house for mail.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: It's a recovery for mail.
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: It's a fucking.
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: That mail's on its 12th step. It's doing really good.
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: Nick, what do you think about that? When you hear
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: about UFC at the White House, Nick's a big UFC guy.
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: He's big, huh?
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: It's crazy. It's like we're living in a simulation. And
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: the fact that they just use.
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: perplexity to generate their AI images of the White House
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: is crazy, too. It's like they don't use an artist.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: But it's going to be wild.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: You're going to go, Nick.
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: Wait, who uses that? Perplexity does that?
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: They're the ones that generated that image and set up
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: for TBS. It was TBS Twitter, right?
- 1:45:23Speaker 5: Yeah, those really look like AI-generated images of their mock-ups
- 1:45:27Speaker 5: of what it's going.
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: To look like.
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: Wow. I mean, that's going to be unbelievable. But it's
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: just like, you know what I'm saying? That's where we're at.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: It's like everything that was governmental that meant like a
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: lot of the things I think that had felt like
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: a lot of purpose and texture and heightened, like something
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: that was almost above us and untouchable is now very accessible.
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: And maybe I'm looking at it too negatively that it's
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: all just been commercialized.
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: You've said it since 2018.
- 1:45:58Speaker 5: Everything's WWE now and UFC and WWE are the same company.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: It's going to be at the White House.
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: Because UFC owns WWE?
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: Yeah, they merged into TKO.
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: It's a good name.
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: With William Morris, it's all a conglomerate.
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: William Morris, the agency, yeah.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: This is the thing that's going to start to happen
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: is they're going to start to create things, and I
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: believe this already happens. They create things and stories in
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: the news to create like a story, and then they
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: make like movies and stuff about it. Like it's all.
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: Right. It's all feeding the next story machine. Well, I mean,
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: you know, for Dana. It's so exciting. That's wild that
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: it's gotten to the place now where it's this globalized.
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: I mean, it's got to be one of the fastest,
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: if not the fastest growing sport.
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: Well, because he was fearless. I mean, he said, we're
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: going to keep this going on during the pandemic. They
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: picked up so many. How big did their fan base
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: grow during the pandemic? Can you look that up?
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: Well, because everybody else, right? The only one that operated,
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: but the NBA was in a bubble. They were like
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: the only ones that operated, right?
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: I mean. Yeah.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: I think they're the only ones that did that, like
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: the bubble thing or whatever.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: And they were all getting like.
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: Well, they're all getting fucked, going, leaving and getting fucked
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: up and coming back. How much UFC? Yeah. Oh my God.
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: 40% in 2021 alone. Jesus.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: According during the COVID pandemic with overall pay-per-view sales and
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: sponsorships hitting record highs. They were the only show in town.
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: Dana White's fucking, you got to respect him, man.
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: I mean, he's a brilliant businessman. He invested in it
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: early on. And Rogan was also there at the beginning.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: I remember watching that interview on ESPN with him. We
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: watched it literally the other day in the car when
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: he got in an argument with that boxing promoter about
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: the boxing promoter being like, this will never be, this
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: will never be a beloved American sport. And Rogan kept
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: using facts to destroy this guy's argument. And it was
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: so true. I mean, even I remember the old cage
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: days of like Tank and abbott right is that isn't
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: right and the san diego and the orange county guys
- 1:47:58Speaker 2: and i remember ortiz and i remember thinking like man
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: this is this is like this wild sport i don't
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: i didn't even know then i didn't really think i
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: was like will this become like a major thing like
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: will this be espn broadcast or pay-per-view broad like will
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: this get to that level i didn't think then it
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: would i didn't doubt it, but I never was like,
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: I didn't know if that was possible. You were like,
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: it seems like a niche thing, but it's not true.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: American culture loves, we love one-on-one, yeah, that one, that guy.
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: We love this idea.
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: It's sort of like human cockfighting, in my view, or
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: pit bull fighting. Guys are elbowing each other to the heads.
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: Guys are kneeing each other. Um, they get at the
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: leg locks, rolling around on the ground, submission holes.
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: Joe, you can't.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: Respond to that. How is that human?
- 1:48:46Speaker 6: How is that human cockfighting?
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: You know what that is?
- 1:48:48Speaker 6: That's actual fighting. You know what boxing is? Well, boxing
- 1:48:51Speaker 6: is a very limited form of fighting. It's kind of
- 1:48:53Speaker 6: a silly agreement. Say like, we hate each other.
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: We're going to fight.
- 1:48:55Speaker 6: We're going to duke it out man to man, but
- 1:48:57Speaker 6: we're only going to use our hands.
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:48:59Speaker 6: What ultimate fighting is, it's the actual sport of fighting.
- 1:49:02Speaker 6: It encompasses all aspects of fighting. Ground game, kicking, punching, elbows, submissions,
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: all the above. That's why it's much more exciting. That's
- 1:49:09Speaker 6: why it's a much more dynamic sport. What boxing is,
- 1:49:12Speaker 6: is one aspect of mixed martial arts.
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: It's true.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: It's one aspect. I mean, it's just one little aspect of,
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: you know... The total package of what fighting, I imagine,
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: in its original form, human-to-human combat, had to have been
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: all systems go. It was everything. It was wrestling. It
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: was fighting. I mean, can you imagine the first fighting
- 1:49:36Speaker 2: that Homo sapiens were doing? There wasn't rules. They were
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: probably using rocks. There wasn't even a referee.
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: There wasn't a referee.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: There was one local guy. There was one frail ginger
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: man who was breaking up. Guys, please, be nice. One
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: pale ginger who was the ref. Yeah, I mean, it's
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: just impressive. It's impressive that it's grown to the scale
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: that it's become. has taken me and I sit and watch,
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: I'm mesmerized. I mean, I can't lie and say that
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: I'm a huge follower of it because I don't know enough,
- 1:50:09Speaker 2: but I do love watching it because I think it's
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: incredible athletes doing just remarkable shit. It's amazing. It's incredible
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: that they get to this place of this kind of
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: training and technical, the abilities, it's wild to fucking watch live.
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: And when you listen to heavyweight hit each other and UFC,
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: you're like... My God, dude. The sound. I mean, you
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: could feel it in your bones.
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: It's nuts. Yes.
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: Sometimes it's hard to swallow. You're like, good God, that
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: sound fucking was dope.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: I know. It's nuts. And they want to do it.
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: That's the craziest thing, man. Oh, I remember in high
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: school when you would hear about these kids watching UFC,
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: and it was like kids who were smoking dope, and
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: one guy's sister was like call girling or whatever. I mean,
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: you would just hear some crazy shit, and you'd be like, dude,
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: we can never go around those guys. They're like getting
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: a pay-per-view of this shit. I know. where it's like
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: a 400-pound guy beats up a little fucking Chinese guy
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: or whatever, or like a strong baby from Vietnam or something.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: They would have these crazy fucking fights. They had crazy fights.
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: Like they have a blind black guy or whatever who's
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: just fucking super violent, and they got him fighting. It
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: was crazy. But now it's like it's become so mainstream,
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: but they were alive during COVID, man.
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: Yeah, like that fight. That's a guy that works at AutoZone.
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: Yeah, fighting with a guy that works at Auto Sandwich. Yeah, dude,
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: that guy.
- 1:51:33Speaker 5: This was the first ever UFC fight, and the guy
- 1:51:35Speaker 5: on the right was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He just
- 1:51:37Speaker 5: passed away a couple years ago.
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: Oh, rest in peace, Taylor Willey. God, I feel horrible. No, great. Thanks, Nick.
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: Now you make us feel bad. The guy's dead. You
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: bring up a picture of a guy who's fucking dead.
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I thought that was AI.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: Son of a bitch.
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: I didn't know those were real guys. What's his name?
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: Where was he from?
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: Taylor Willey.
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: Hawaii.
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: Hawaii. Nice.
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: Oh, I got my Hawaii shirt on today. This surfing shirt.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: Can you surf?
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: You know what Hawaii means?
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: Uh-uh.
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: It's Hawaii. And ha is wind. I think look this
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: up because I'm going to fuck it up.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Okay, Hawaii.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: Hawaii. One is water. It's like it's broken up. Ha
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: is breath, life force. Vai is water. And E is
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: representing supreme or divine. It's kind of beautiful.
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: Oh, it's the best.
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: Hawaii is fucking the best.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: They crushed it, dude.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: Dude, I love going out there, man. Oh, yeah. It's
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: so funny, too, because living on the West Coast, it's
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: like either go to New York or Hawaii, same flight time.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: I'm like, I think I'm going to go to the islands. Like, fuck.
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: Whenever I'm like, it's the same flight time to go
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: to New York, I was like, I'd rather go West,
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: go out to the island, just disappear out there. Honestly, like,
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: I get it. When people go and retire out there,
- 1:52:54Speaker 2: And like you meet some guy at a local bar
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: or something. He's like, I moved from the state. I
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: moved from Arkansas 28 years ago. I'm never fucking going back.
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: You're like, I get it, dude. It's heaven on earth
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: out there.
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: I came, we moved here. My wife's a lesbian now,
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: but we're still together.
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: You hear that kind of shit? Yeah, she does the coconuts. Yeah,
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: she does the coconuts.
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: She does her thing. I do mine.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: I'm playing in a band. And it's going really well.
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: Everybody knows me. You know everybody knows me in this
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: little town.
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: This place is fucking great. And you'll see somebody at night,
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: they'll be driving a car, the headlights don't work, but
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: they're shining a flashlight out of the fucking window.
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: It's got a mag light on the side.
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: It's just like so bootleg. But I love that, dude.
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: It's just like, it's their own place. And they, yeah,
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: there's nothing like it.
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: It's a phenomenal spot.
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: Yeah, all the American things have gotten crazy. It's just
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: like everything's kind of changed, you know? It's like Mount Rushmore,
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: they're going to put a nose ring in one of
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: the guy's fucking It's just gotten crazy.
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: Washington's got blue hair now, I think.
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: Washington's wearing a choker. Franklin's got a fucking nose ring.
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: He's got his tongue pierced. They're building a tongue with
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: a piercing on it. And then underneath it says, this
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: shit is fire.
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: Even those guys, man, they wanted, during the American Revolution before,
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: they wanted to, like, they were a big part of, like,
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: the expansion to take over Indian's land. Like, There's always
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: just been hypocrisy in this country.
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we live in a hypocritical world, and we can't
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: be critical of everyone. We can try our best to
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: do our best, but the idea that we're impervious to
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: criticism is bullshit. We are all walking contradictions. And the
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: better we are at admitting the fact that we don't
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: believe everything that we used to believe, and that's a
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: healthy perspective, the better we'll get along with changing and growing.
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: I'm a progressive person, right? And the idea that like,
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: I want people to live their ultimate freedoms. So in
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: that right, I'm very, in a socially liberal world, I
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: want you to be as free as you want to be.
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: I don't give a shit what you identify as, who
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: you want to be, gay, straight, whatever you are. I
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: want people to feel free to be their own human.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: And I think the more that that love resonates with people,
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: the more comfortable we are with getting over the fact
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: that your business is your business. I don't have time
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: to fight with people about how they operate and live
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: their lives. You're not harming other fucking people. I couldn't
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: give a shit about you and your freedoms. That's the
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: best part of the country. You should feel free as
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: fuck here. And other countries should follow suit. The problem
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: is we should stop infighting. If we show the most
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: love for our progressive culture that we just let people
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: live the way they need to live, the world, I think,
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: will take a note a little bit better. I love
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: that America gets a lot of criticism, but I do
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: think we are making waves and changes. We just don't
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: ever get credit for it at all because we're continually fixing.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: A lot of places aren't updating. They're not doing the updates.
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: We're trying. We are all trying in different ways. Some
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: updates people don't like and it moves fast. And then
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: sometimes people think, oh, well, we're regressing. But I think
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: if your heart is in the right place to let
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: people live their ultimate freedoms of life, whatever that may be,
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: I think culture will continue to grow and change. It
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: doesn't happen overnight. The world will not change overnight and
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: neither will the fucking United States. We're all doing our
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: best to get there the best we can. You may
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: not agree with all of it. I don't agree with
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: a lot of my peers. You know, there's friends I
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: have that we don't share the same opinions about stuff.
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: That doesn't mean we're not going to be friends. And
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: that doesn't mean we can't still get on. You know,
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: to say that we're all going to view things and
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: feel the same and think the same, that's fucking insane.
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: That's not a logical way to live.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: Well, it's also, it's just impossible. It's like if you
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: think like one race should run everything or one group,
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: It's just that's never going to be the way it is, right? No.
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: It shouldn't be. People should– we should– my grandfather used
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: to always say that old man thing of like– he
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: doesn't talk religion in politics. He never did. And– And
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: he was friends with many people that had different politics
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: and religion than he. Didn't mean he couldn't get on
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: with them. Yeah. Right? Now there's a divisive movement of hate, separate.
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: And I think that's fucking sad shit. I think educating, talking, empathy,
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: I think all these things help people grow and less infighting,
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: less drama, less bullshit, less hate, less vitriol. Because it
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: comes from an awful place. That's spiraling into... We're spiraling
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: into a negative, negative fucking world, man. Bad. It's weird.
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: It's bad. I think the only way out is to
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: do good as much as you can in your life
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: and your community with your loved ones, your family and
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: your friends and push, push more positive shit out to people.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: I mean, it sounds corny, but I mean it like
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: stop the bullshit, dude. All this fucking, then the internet
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: is like fueling negativity.
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: And it's when we click on it, it's when we
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: watch on it, you know, it's like, uh, Yeah, Poirier
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: says that all the time. He's like, man, I don't
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: watch it. If it's something like, if it's going to
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: be gossipy, if it's going to be that kind of stuff,
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: don't bring it into me. I just don't want that
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: in my world.
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: Doesn't need it.
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and our worlds get affected pretty easily. You don't
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: think about it. It's just like a pool of water,
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: and it's like you put this bullshit in, and then
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: you're just fucking sitting there swimming in bullshit. Yeah, and
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: I don't want to swim in bullshit. Yeah, and nobody's
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: perfect at it. I'm not saying that I'm great at
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: it or anything, or even that I do it well,
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: but to be conscious of it. that the people that
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: are creating things for you to see, they may not
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: have your best interests at hand. I think the days
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: of that being– or even pure truth. Dude, one of
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: the worst things was after the comedy special and people
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: were making articles and stuff. people would find old videos
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: of me talking about stuff on this podcast and put
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: it out like it was new.
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: Of course.
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: And so then there was like emotional stuff. Like we've
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: talked about a ton of stuff on this over the years. Like,
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: I mean, I kind of like, I'm kind of a
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: late bloomer and I like kind of came in understanding
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: some of my own life and thoughts and feelings a
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: lot on this during podcasting and fucking people, like even
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: like positive groups were like putting shit. I was like,
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: why would you fucking put this? I'm getting, thousand people
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: have sent me this thing and you're like acting like
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: it's brand new today. This is from five years ago. Right.
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: Date it. They should date it.
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: I don't know. It's all like, and I, I, there
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: was a ton of nice stuff. I mean, it was
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: all nice. All comes from a good place, but it's just,
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: it's all kind of fascinating, you know?
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: You know what I learned? I think I've learned in
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: the more recent years. And I mean, this is, um,
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: all of us, all of us are little tiny kids
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: in a big adult shell pretending that we know what
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: we're doing. I don't care how intelligent you are, how
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: adjusted you are, how well-to-do you are, rich, poor, no
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: matter where you come from, we're all little kids in
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: this big shell pretending that we know what we're doing.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: It's like a little tiny guy driving the machine, and
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: we all think that we know what we're doing, but
- 1:59:38Speaker 2: we're not. We're all insecure, broken little children who are
- 1:59:42Speaker 2: just trying to pretend to be adults and figure our
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: shit out. We're all figuring it out. It's all a lie.
- 1:59:49Speaker 2: It's all a lie. No one is more mature than one.
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: No one has a better idea of how the world's
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: going to work. Your opinions are as base as the
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: next person. You're just a little kid inside of a
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: human shell. And so I think remembering that gives me
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: some solace that I'm like, this guy isn't better than me,
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: isn't smarter than me, isn't whatever. We're just little kids
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: in a big body. That's all we are. Trying to
- 2:00:13Speaker 2: do good if you can. And that's it.
- 2:00:16Speaker 3: And have.
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: Have empathy for the idea that you don't really know somebody.
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: You don't really know them until you know them.
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: Shooting at them is not going to do any good.
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: You know, stop taking shots at people. It's just weird.
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I don't know. I think recently I've
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: just been thinking of all the grace that God has
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: had in my life. When you think about that, dude,
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: just like all the times that something could have been
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: bad or that he was like supportive or all those things,
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: you know? But yeah, man, you're right. We're all just,
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: everybody's just, hopefully trying their best.
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: And continue. And learning as we go.
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: And we don't know what the fuck we're talking about also, people, so.
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: Well, we know what we're talking about. I don't know
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: if it's right for anybody else, but I know how
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: I feel.
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: I know where my heart's at. I know where my
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: soul's at. Imperfect people trying to just figure it out. Yeah.
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: That's it, you know?
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: Are you guys done trying to have a child, do
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: you think?
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I think also our
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: age now, like we're at an age now in our
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: 40s where I think it's like, you know, we've accepted it,
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: so to speak. I mean, I know that's not the
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: right word, but I'm okay with where we are now.
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: And we'll see what the future holds in terms of like,
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: what is our next adventure in life? You know, where
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: do we move? Where do we go? Who do we support?
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: You know, I have a 54-year-old Asian boy that I
- 2:01:34Speaker 2: take care of every day of the week, a little
- 2:01:37Speaker 2: Korean boy. He's kind of my child. I feel like
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: I've adopted a lot of children that I work with
- 2:01:42Speaker 2: in a sense that like, you're producers and we have
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: young producers, editors, and I've kind of take them under
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: my wing. I think my children have started to become
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: my community. You know, if I can help out new
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: comics or if I can give advice or if I
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: can lend a hand or do these charity events or something,
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: I think that's become a little bit of my child,
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: you know, to me, if I can do that, that's,
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: that's become my focus and it may change.
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: But I think for now that's where I'm at, you know?
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: I start thinking about that kind of stuff. Like if
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: I don't have kids and it's okay, you know, it's like,
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: I'll find like other ways to be of service or, Um,
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: you get little pieces of family from other people, or
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: maybe I'll just, you know, uh, spend that time more
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: just with my own family that we didn't get when
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: we were young. And that's kind of like the part
- 2:02:27Speaker 1: that I get out of life that my spirit gets
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: this time, you know, and maybe there's something else next time,
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: you know, maybe it just gets to, uh, kind of
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: remake old thing, you know, redo things that weren't close. Sure.
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: Or have a new experience with some of those things.
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: And that's, um, the parts of love that I get
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: out of this time. And that's okay. That's good. Yeah.
- 2:02:52Speaker 2: You know, I look at it as you've ever seen
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: that cause you never seen that game that, um, it's
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: in an arcade. You could look up a picture of it,
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: but you, you put in, you put in quarters or
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: change and they pile up and there's a thing that
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: slides back and forth. You've seen that thing, right?
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: I love that.
- 2:03:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: And the idea is like, you keep putting in money
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: into that thing. You may never, and probably never are
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: going to get the full flush of the coins. Someone
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: else will though. So it's kind of like a, a
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: sociological experiment in a way too, right? Like your greed
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: could supersede, right? But there is something interesting about this
- 2:03:22Speaker 2: that like, if you looked at it in a beautiful way,
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: you're kind of loading up coins for someone else to
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: have fortune. It may not be for you, you know?
- 2:03:31Speaker 2: So it's kind of, and that's kind of the story
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: of life. I mean, seriously, it's a little cheesy, but
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: it's almost like you're just loading up coins and doing right.
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: It doesn't mean it's going to pay off for you,
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: but it may pay off socially for the future, for
- 2:03:44Speaker 2: somebody else. And isn't that kind of dope? Like, that's
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: why I think doing doing something for other people, whether
- 2:03:49Speaker 2: it's charity groups or lending a hand or whatever. That's
- 2:03:52Speaker 2: kind of my idea. I probably won't be there to
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: see the reward, most likely, but that doesn't matter. It's
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: kind of dope that I know that someone's going to
- 2:03:58Speaker 2: feel that because you felt success and reward, right? And
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: so when something has blessed you with success and reward,
- 2:04:04Speaker 2: isn't it cool to know someone else is going to
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: get it? Whether or not you get to enjoy it,
- 2:04:07Speaker 2: that's not the point. The point is the knowledge that
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: it will and may happen or may happen.
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I mean, there's people that have helped me
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: along the way, and I wouldn't have had the opportunity
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: to be in a place for success or what. I mean,
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: we're all just kind of like a composite of the
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: people that have supported us.
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: Totally.
- 2:04:23Speaker 1: Or the composite of the love that's been shown us.
- 2:04:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: And even our outcomes are. Thanks, bro.
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: Thank you, dude. This was fantastic.
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: I got to come ginger. I got to come bad, guys.
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: You got to come.
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: Bad friends.
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: You got to come see us. You got to come
- 2:04:38Speaker 2: see us.
- 2:04:38Speaker 1: I got to come bad friends.
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: We'd love to have you back. You know that. I
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: love to see you around. I know you're out and
- 2:04:43Speaker 2: about and you're moving a lot, but take time for you.
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: Do whatever you got to do to center yourself and
- 2:04:48Speaker 2: enjoy some rest time. Get away from all the bullshit
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: for a little while. Yeah. You need it.
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I do need it. I do need to make
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: sure that I keep that a focal point. Yeah, I
- 2:04:59Speaker 1: appreciate you asking about it, man, and I appreciate you
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: checking in. Yep, bad lies, whiskey, ginger, and bad friends.
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: I got them all. No bad lies, whiskey, ginger— Bad friends,
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: go watch them all on YouTube and podcasts and all that.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: Come see me live. Go to andresantino.com and come see
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: the boy. You know, doing some new dates.
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: Yep, we got tours coming up. And also, you got
- 2:05:21Speaker 1: White Noise. That's on Hulu.
- 2:05:22Speaker 2: Yes, go watch that on Hulu. Or internationally, if you
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: don't live in the United States, you can go watch
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: it on, I think it's on Disney +. They're all
- 2:05:29Speaker 2: under the same, the mouse, the mouse house umbrella.
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: Were they good to work with Hulu?
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know, they let me kind of
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: figure it out. We were kind of working it out
- 2:05:37Speaker 2: as we went along. You know, this is their first
- 2:05:39Speaker 2: foray into specials with Burr and Sebastian and Gaffigan. And,
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: you know, they had a great lineup too.
- 2:05:47Speaker 1: And Bobby too, right?
- 2:05:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Bobby's doesn't come out till next year. He doesn't
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: film it till... January, January or something like that. That's cool.
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: You guys are both doing it on there.
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm proud of the kid. And we're trying to
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: do a show with Hulu. Hopefully they'll want to, you know, we,
- 2:05:58Speaker 2: we sold them an animated show and, uh, we're waiting
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: for the yes. It's amazing. It's, it's like stories from
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: our high school. And, um, uh, we are, uh, the,
- 2:06:09Speaker 2: everyone that's a young person is a bug and all
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: the adults are humans and Bobby's a roly poly and
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: I'm a lightning bug. And it's kind of great, man.
- 2:06:17Speaker 2: It's this beautiful, dumb friendship show about stories from our
- 2:06:20Speaker 2: high school, about how we you know, you felt like
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: you were in, but you were out sometimes.
- 2:06:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Bobby was using.
- 2:06:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he was big into it. I mean, he couldn't
- 2:06:29Speaker 2: get away from it. But he was still like this
- 2:06:31Speaker 2: brilliant little artist who couldn't get out of his own way.
- 2:06:34Speaker 2: So we use all these stories and put that stuff
- 2:06:36Speaker 2: in there. It's kind of fun. So hopefully we'll do that.
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: Hopefully that'll come up and that'll come to fruition. But otherwise,
- 2:06:41Speaker 2: just come see me live and watch Bad Friends and
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: No Bad Lies and Whiskey Ginger and That's that. Yeah.
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: There he is. Look at us.
- 2:06:47Speaker 2: Who is that? Yeah.
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: Oh, a little bok choy termite.
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: Who was that? Say that's, that's not us, but that's
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: not our picture. I don't know why they, I don't
- 2:06:53Speaker 2: know what that photo is, but yeah, we did. Right.
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: We did an animated pilot that hopefully it's in the
- 2:06:58Speaker 2: works of Hulu. Hopefully everyone will get to see it.
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: That's my boy, Nick Christ on the right who helped
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: write it and put it together with us. And, and
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: that's Bobby on the left looking like Bobby does.
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah. He's kind of like the handicapped Michael Landon.
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: Andrew Santino, thanks so much, brother.
- 2:07:16Speaker 2: Thank you, bro.
- 2:07:17Speaker 4: Oh, but when I reach that ground I'll share this
- 2:07:21Speaker 4: peace of mind I found I can feel it in
- 2:07:24Speaker 4: my bones But it's gonna take
