- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Peak Shade Prime. It's Mary Payne here.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I've got Keisha you guys, new show, new season, who
- 0:22Speaker 1: is I know?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm excited Love is Blind about the Brits.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I don't know what it is about, and maybe it's
- 0:30Speaker 3: because that was my first experience ever with Love is
- 0:34Speaker 3: Blind was UK, so it just has.
- 0:36Speaker 2: A special place in my heart. Oh yeah, okay, I
- 0:39Speaker 2: get it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Well, yeah, this is UK season two and uh so,
- 0:46Speaker 1: like you and I were just saying before we started,
- 0:47Speaker 1: so far we don't hate anybody, which is such a
- 0:50Speaker 1: stuble for Love is Blind, we usually meet an asshole
- 0:52Speaker 1: pretty quickly.
- 0:55Speaker 2: It'll happen episode three. I'm sure.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Okay, I haven't gotten there. I don't know how far
- 0:59Speaker 1: ahead you.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Bought, but I haven't watched episode three. I've only watched
- 1:03Speaker 3: one and two and I've already picked a person who
- 1:06Speaker 3: I think is going to be an asshole.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Okay, all right, should you tell me now or do
- 1:13Speaker 1: you think to episode two is because I haven't watched
- 1:15Speaker 1: episode two?
- 1:17Speaker 3: Now, you know I get all the episodes intertwined. I
- 1:21Speaker 3: know I have to rely on you to keep me
- 1:23Speaker 3: on track, so I know what to say and what
- 1:26Speaker 3: will you get to him. I'll say, I think this
- 1:28Speaker 3: is gonna be one of the assholes for the season.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Okay, dang it, dang it, all right, my daughter is
- 1:35Speaker 1: sending me tiktoks and I don't need that.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I need to make.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Sure, Well, did she send them to me too?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Because you probably the same time? God, probably so funny. No,
- 1:48Speaker 2: she has it, She's hilarious.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Listen, guys, my phone is set on do not disturb
- 1:54Speaker 1: and airplane mode, but yet the text message has still
- 1:57Speaker 1: come through from my family because they're in my favorites,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and if I put it on airplane mode that should
- 2:06Speaker 1: mean I'm not even getting a signal, So no messages,
- 2:09Speaker 1: but they.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Do they come through?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Why?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Why? Okay, But that's a.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Problem for another time. For those of you on Fruitfly Watch.
- 2:19Speaker 1: When this episode airs on August thirteenth, I will be
- 2:22Speaker 1: back home in Virginia and my house and Baltad will
- 2:25Speaker 1: have been completely bombed for the fruit flies. They can't
- 2:29Speaker 1: do the bombing while we're here because you've got to
- 2:31Speaker 1: be out of the house for.
- 2:31Speaker 2: A long time.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But yeah, so if you see, if you're if you're
- 2:36Speaker 1: new here and you don't know, have a fruitfly problem.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I've got every device known to man, and I told Keisha,
- 2:43Speaker 1: today's the day. We're just going to pour hot water
- 2:46Speaker 1: and bleach down our drains. The guy dropped by some
- 2:50Speaker 1: stuff to pour down the drains. It hasn't helped it all.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Because they're a hybrid. They're mixed with human or something
- 2:57Speaker 2: like that.
- 2:57Speaker 3: They've got like borderline human intelligence, Like they have everything
- 3:01Speaker 3: you have done.
- 3:02Speaker 2: They're like, oh, she's so funny and cute. That's not
- 3:05Speaker 2: going round.
- 3:06Speaker 3: And I have a feeling when the house gets bombed,
- 3:08Speaker 3: they're gonna have their little gas mask on and that's
- 3:10Speaker 3: not gonna work for them either. They like live there, okay,
- 3:14Speaker 3: They're like, this is our beach house, our time here, like,
- 3:19Speaker 3: let's just share.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It is very odd.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It is so and it's just in a couple of spots.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's here by the computer, and I think because the
- 3:27Speaker 1: computer's warm and I've got lights, and they're kind of
- 3:31Speaker 1: by the window. I just and then there's a couple
- 3:36Speaker 1: in the kitchen, but not really like I wouldn't have
- 3:38Speaker 1: even notice them in the kitchen. Yeah, they're up here
- 3:42Speaker 1: in my bathroom.
- 3:43Speaker 3: The congregate, like I mean, when we get them, it's
- 3:46Speaker 3: the kitchen area.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's insane. It's insane anyway. People are so sick of
- 3:52Speaker 1: hearing about my fruit flies. But I'm just saying, by
- 3:54Speaker 1: the time it's pretty funny. By the time it comes
- 3:58Speaker 1: to your this se your ear holes, my house will
- 4:01Speaker 1: be bombed and hopefully by the time I go back,
- 4:03Speaker 1: they'll all be gone and you won't see me doing
- 4:05Speaker 1: this like swatting my face.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And well, I don't know if you've noticed a couple
- 4:09Speaker 3: of times when you swat I go back too, because
- 4:12Speaker 3: you're like, what I do?
- 4:13Speaker 2: Don't hit me? That's past and periods. What's going on?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh my god, Well listen, love is blind uk S.
- 4:21Speaker 1: He's the two episode one. I've got my notes up
- 4:22Speaker 1: and then I've got my little chart up because I
- 4:24Speaker 1: put up a little chart and for the girls at
- 4:27Speaker 1: least sometimes I have a hard time telling them apart initially,
- 4:31Speaker 1: So I've got some notes for each girl, like I've
- 4:35Speaker 1: got Ashley Tall, thin, blonde cabin Crew. If we haven't
- 4:39Speaker 1: said that a million times, Sophie I wrote blonde and gorgeous.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Megan has the red hair. Au is the singer Yolanda Specialist.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Occupational therapists couldn't pick her out of a lineup. Christine
- 4:57Speaker 1: as thirty five. I said, she's a HR operations person
- 5:00Speaker 1: and she had black hair and a kaftan.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't even really see her, like, Yeah, I
- 5:05Speaker 3: think some of these are going to be like the
- 5:06Speaker 3: Pod Squad, just like the Pod girls.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think that as they were showing them, I was
- 5:11Speaker 1: trying to pause and put them in, but knowing full
- 5:15Speaker 1: well as always, I'll have to end up putting them
- 5:18Speaker 1: at the bottom because we're not going to see them
- 5:19Speaker 1: as much. Yeah, they focus on people. But and sorrow
- 5:24Speaker 1: Over m hm, the Indian girl who I love. I
- 5:28Speaker 1: wrote her name down phonetically and then I just said,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna have to go with sorrow
- 5:32Speaker 1: over because she said the way it's pronounced, but she
- 5:36Speaker 1: also has a British accent. And then the guy she's
- 5:40Speaker 1: talking to just was saying sorrow over, so I said,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say it that way.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Very pretty name. You know, I'm a sucker for a
- 5:46Speaker 2: name that starts with the letter is. I did not
- 5:48Speaker 2: do it.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You didn't a name that starts with an s?
- 5:53Speaker 2: Is you nevery?
- 5:54Speaker 3: Now? Then you'll say something and I'm like, does.
- 5:56Speaker 2: She not know me? At all an s. Yeah, like Skylar.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I love names that start with the letter S. So
- 6:05Speaker 3: if I had had more kids, all of their names
- 6:08Speaker 3: would have started.
- 6:09Speaker 2: With the letter S. And now you have Sockey.
- 6:13Speaker 3: That's why Soke Marvel is Marvel because he was scholar's
- 6:16Speaker 3: dog and came to us with that name. Otherwise their
- 6:20Speaker 3: names would have started with the letter S too. Everything
- 6:23Speaker 3: everything letter S. My vehicles we have summer rain s.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I love names that start with S. And Pete so
- 6:33Speaker 3: like the little the little thing in my car that
- 6:36Speaker 3: does the.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Beat beep and the alerts when you're about to hit something.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Her name is Phoebe. Okay, yeah, I love names.
- 6:47Speaker 3: So when I was like doing baby names, all of
- 6:50Speaker 3: the names started with the letter S or the letter P.
- 6:53Speaker 2: What was a P name that you liked back then?
- 6:56Speaker 3: I like Peyton, I like Piper. Phoebe was on the list.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Phoebe was on the list, and.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Oh geez, I can't remember the rest, but I can
- 7:06Speaker 3: remember writing them all down. All s is all peas.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That is so funny. I've always loved the name Piper.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Another name that I really like that is probably weird.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I love that Christy Brinkley's daughter's name is sailor. I
- 7:19Speaker 1: love that name.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Love that name.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it, love it. It's so pretty. It
- 7:24Speaker 3: really really is so pretty. So yeah, I thought you
- 7:26Speaker 3: knew that about me.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I didn't know you were into the s's and the peas.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I just I don't you have a little kirky bird
- 7:32Speaker 2: over here.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I know you got your you got your things.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 7:36Speaker 1: My things are fruit flies.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So hey, this is cool. Everyone has a thing, all right, y'all.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's summer. I really love to have people over and
- 7:48Speaker 1: I love to get out all of my fun serving dishes.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And I also love a string light and a full
- 7:53Speaker 1: barbecue vibe. I also love an outdoor game like croquet
- 7:56Speaker 1: or cornhole. That would surprise you, but I'm pretty good
- 7:59Speaker 1: at cornhole. And guess what else? You can get all
- 8:01Speaker 1: of that at my go to shop, Wayfair. So for
- 8:04Speaker 1: this beach house, I like to keep kind of a
- 8:06Speaker 1: beach theme. I like things with like sharks and a
- 8:08Speaker 1: nautical vibe, like you know, navy blue. I got the
- 8:11Speaker 1: cutest outdoor pillows from Wayfair, and I got a couple
- 8:14Speaker 1: from my Adirondack chairs and a couple of bench cushions
- 8:17Speaker 1: because you know, if you're sitting out there for a
- 8:19Speaker 1: long time trying to get some sun. You gotta be comfortable.
- 8:21Speaker 1: They're that outdoor material which is perfect, and Wayfair's delivery
- 8:25Speaker 1: was always free, fast and hassle free. Now did you
- 8:28Speaker 1: guys know that Wayfair literally has everything for the outdoors.
- 8:32Speaker 1: In addition to all the fun tocre and pillows, they
- 8:34Speaker 1: have long games, but they also have trampolines, gazebos, hot tubs, pools,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and swing sets. There's something for every style and every home,
- 8:43Speaker 1: no matter your space, no matter your budget. So shop
- 8:46Speaker 1: outdoor furniture, grills, long games, and way more for way less.

- 9:00Speaker 1: Every style, every home. Okay, So Love is Blind Season two,
- 9:05Speaker 1: Episode one, eat sleep Date Repeat and we open with
- 9:11Speaker 1: Emma and Matt and the usual blah blah blah is
- 9:15Speaker 1: all I could focus on, really was did she chop
- 9:18Speaker 1: all her hair off?
- 9:19Speaker 2: Or was it like in a clip in the back?
- 9:22Speaker 3: I was confused as well. Okay, I think it may
- 9:27Speaker 3: be clipped in the back, but I don't it was
- 9:31Speaker 3: it was it was it was something I think she
- 9:34Speaker 3: was going for like a rock and roll kind of
- 9:36Speaker 3: sophisticated look or something.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I don't know. I didn't.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I was like, did you forget to take your hair
- 9:42Speaker 1: out of the clip, because what's happening?
- 9:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But they're very much like in the camera like hey,
- 9:47Speaker 1: it's love blind and you're like, whoa, Yes they are.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Well, you know what, he's not as hyped up as
- 9:52Speaker 3: he was season one.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Season one. I thought.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I was like, oh man, he just took an eight
- 9:58Speaker 3: ball before they started.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, I think and
- 10:02Speaker 1: I don't know, and a British person can tell us,
- 10:05Speaker 1: or just a person that likes British music.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I do believe he's like a former.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Boy yeah, or a rock and roller or whatever. I
- 10:13Speaker 1: find them delightful, but not a delightful enough to write
- 10:16Speaker 1: down one word they said all they All I wrote
- 10:19Speaker 1: was blah blah blah. Here's if we find out love
- 10:21Speaker 1: is flying the pods are open, okay, Yeah, because in
- 10:24Speaker 1: the past I've written so many notes about like what
- 10:27Speaker 1: the people are saying to end on them like none
- 10:29Speaker 1: of that matters, who cares, let's get And they didn't.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Say a lot.
- 10:33Speaker 1: They didn't Yeah, so we have quick cuts, you know,
- 10:37Speaker 1: people and they're going into the pods and everything. So
- 10:40Speaker 1: first we get Ashley. She's a very tall, blonde, beautiful girl,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and she's in cabin crew, which is our way of
- 10:46Speaker 1: saying flight attendant, right, And she meets with a guy
- 10:50Speaker 1: named Charlie who's twenty eight, an electrical engineer, and he says, oh,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you're in cabin crew, I could get discounted flights. And
- 10:57Speaker 1: she goes, why is that the first thing everybody always says.
- 11:01Speaker 1: She says, Charlie, that gives me the ick and he
- 11:03Speaker 1: laughs at us, you're probably gonna get it all day.
- 11:06Speaker 3: She's I think she probably did, because people just say
- 11:09Speaker 3: that for somemorrow.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I don't.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's just a conversation.
- 11:12Speaker 3: It is, Yeah, but you never think that person has
- 11:16Speaker 3: had this ninety nine hundred times.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's like when people meet me and they think it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: funny to be like, oh, Mary Pain, are you a
- 11:24Speaker 1: pain in the ass? I'm like, oh, I've never heard that.
- 11:26Speaker 1: That's hilarious. I spell the spelled the wrong way, idiot.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, did I tell you that.
- 11:35Speaker 3: This lady that you introduced this to, Like, first, her
- 11:38Speaker 3: and I were corresponding through email, and then I met
- 11:40Speaker 3: her in person and she calling you Mary, so even
- 11:45Speaker 3: on the email. When I responded back, I said Mary
- 11:47Speaker 3: pain And then we met her, she had gone Mary.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I said you mean Mary Paine. She goes, yeah, Mary.
- 11:51Speaker 3: I said no, Mary Payin. She didn't get it. I
- 11:54Speaker 3: said her name is Mary Payne. Her last name is Gilbert,
- 11:57Speaker 3: and she still looked at me confused.
- 11:59Speaker 2: As the day is right, just get it. Welcome, give
- 12:03Speaker 2: you it, Welcome to my life. Yeah, yep.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So if you're new here, guys, Southern still name.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So she tells us that her job does inhibit her
- 12:14Speaker 1: from having relationships. She's been lucky in life, but not
- 12:17Speaker 1: lucky in love. And she says, my sisters and my
- 12:20Speaker 1: friends always tell me, you know, you just need to
- 12:22Speaker 1: believe in yourself more trust yourself and you can do it.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And so that's what I'm doing. I'm trying to do
- 12:27Speaker 1: that here. So now she's telling a guy named Chris.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Chris is thirty three, he's a data analyst, that she's
- 12:34Speaker 1: been single for about four and a half years. She
- 12:37Speaker 1: wants somebody to see her as more than cabin crew.
- 12:40Speaker 1: He makes an emergency exit joke, and so she's like, well, sorry, Chris,
- 12:46Speaker 1: it's nice owing you goodbye.
- 12:48Speaker 3: What it is about her job that just you would
- 12:50Speaker 3: have sworn that she said she was president of a country?
- 12:54Speaker 3: She waited, ever, what has something to say about her
- 12:57Speaker 3: being cabin I don't know how many times a week
- 12:59Speaker 3: between episode one to two, I cannot tell you how
- 13:02Speaker 3: many times we hear the words cabin crew.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It was like, god, you guys, she's a flight intendant,
- 13:07Speaker 1: Like have you ever met.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Well, yeah, Like, I don't know. I didn't get it.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I remember the Megan, the girl that looked like Megan
- 13:14Speaker 1: Fox was a flight attendant, and nobody mentioned it barely,
- 13:18Speaker 1: not at all.
- 13:19Speaker 3: So maybe it's something that's a really big deal there
- 13:22Speaker 3: that just I don't know.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I didn't get it.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I don't don't I didn't get Okay, So she meets
- 13:27Speaker 1: a guy named Billy.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Okay, Billy is thirty five.
- 13:30Speaker 1: He is an Army physical trainer and he's from Bangor
- 13:35Speaker 1: and she's from near Surrey. And she says, oh my god,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I was also in the Army. I was in the cadets.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And she kind of goes up, my name was like
- 13:42Speaker 1: combat Barbie. It's a way to say that she's cute,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and they talk about the military. He's been in sixteen years,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and she says, oh, I work cabin crew and I
- 13:52Speaker 1: do long call flights, and you know, I've seen the world.
- 13:55Speaker 1: It could be a really lonely job. And he says, Oh,
- 13:58Speaker 1: my gosh, I just love your last. He explains he's
- 14:02Speaker 1: very close to his family and his dad is in England,
- 14:05Speaker 1: so I think he might be in Ireland.
- 14:07Speaker 2: He says his dad he's Irish, Yeah, Irish, but his.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Dad's in England. But when he needs a dog, set
- 14:12Speaker 1: or his dad's the first person he calls and he says.
- 14:15Speaker 2: She goes, oh, you have a dog.
- 14:16Speaker 1: He says, oh, I have a wee Cocker spandel named Ollie. Oh,
- 14:22Speaker 1: And she says she has a springerpoo named Jet Cute.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Now I have to say something to me. They looked alike, really, yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 3: they looked alike. He also looked like a guy that
- 14:36Speaker 3: I knew when I was in high school that I
- 14:38Speaker 3: went out on like two dates with. But his face,
- 14:42Speaker 3: like I know, he's into physical fitness, but his face
- 14:44Speaker 3: looks like it used to like bodybuild and then it stopped.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Because it looks a little yeah, like it used to
- 14:52Speaker 1: like pump iron.
- 14:53Speaker 3: And then one day he said, you know what, I
- 14:54Speaker 3: have had enough of that light, so it just went plant.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I can see that. I could see that.
- 15:01Speaker 1: He asked her about, you know, her dating life, and
- 15:02Speaker 1: she said she's been single over four years now. She said,
- 15:05Speaker 1: you know, I just had a relationship that really knocked me.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I was low and confidence, I lost my trust in men,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and maybe I looked for the wrong values, but I'm
- 15:13Speaker 1: really looking for someone who's honest and respectful. And she
- 15:17Speaker 1: was telling me about your last relationships and he goes, oh, well,
- 15:19Speaker 1: you know, funny story.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I was married.
- 15:23Speaker 1: About five years ago, and they he says, we just
- 15:26Speaker 1: fell out of love. We were both in the army
- 15:28Speaker 1: and we were like passing ships in the night. I
- 15:31Speaker 1: never thought it would be divorce divorced, but you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you know, divorce doesn't scare me, but I never thought
- 15:39Speaker 1: it would happen to me. So right, they're like, you know,
- 15:42Speaker 1: it's really nice to talk to you. Nice to talk
- 15:43Speaker 1: to you too, And you could tell they like each other, right.
- 15:45Speaker 3: They like, yeah, they The conversation flowed very easily, like
- 15:49Speaker 3: it was almost like they already knew each other.
- 15:52Speaker 2: This was really really easy and comfortable. Didn't seem weird
- 15:55Speaker 2: or awkward.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Or anything like that. All of that because they're siblings,
- 16:00Speaker 3: because they look alike.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Talking to her, Billy goes you know, Actually, I'm an
- 16:04Speaker 1: old fashioned romantic and maybe sometimes I think I was
- 16:07Speaker 1: born in the wrong generation because I'm just that way.
- 16:10Speaker 1: But I want to find the love of my life.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Now we beat Sophie.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Sophie might be this season's Meghan from Minnesota.
- 16:22Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. Not as bad.
- 16:25Speaker 3: No, nowhere near is bad. She's really pretty. She literally
- 16:30Speaker 3: looks like Barbie and a who had a baby. If
- 16:35Speaker 3: you look at her face, you look at her nose,
- 16:37Speaker 3: it's a little Barbie, it's a little Whoville. I think
- 16:39Speaker 3: she's cute. She Meghan was psychotic. I don't think this
- 16:44Speaker 3: This girl has just been hurt. I think I'd love
- 16:47Speaker 3: to know what has made her this way. Because you're
- 16:49Speaker 3: gonna oh we are okay, all right? Get yeah, So
- 16:53Speaker 3: we beat Sophie. She's twenty eight, she's a senior commercial manager.
- 16:56Speaker 3: She's obviously works for some big company. Twenty eight it's
- 16:59Speaker 3: pretty young to have come of a big job. And
- 17:02Speaker 3: she says in her talking head, she goes with somebody
- 17:05Speaker 3: meets me. They think I'm a little sweet, hot butter.
- 17:07Speaker 3: That wouldn't mount. Oh, they think I'm a cow. British
- 17:12Speaker 3: slang the term cow. This is, this is going to
- 17:15Speaker 3: be a.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Learning corner, okay. The term cow is primarily used as
- 17:20Speaker 1: an offensive or derogatory term for a woman who is
- 17:22Speaker 1: considered to be unpleasant, rude, unkind, or malicious. So like
- 17:27Speaker 1: our hefa yeah, or like bitch, like you could. The
- 17:31Speaker 1: way it goes on to explain it is you could
- 17:32Speaker 1: say like you're a daft cow, you're a silly cow, whatever,
- 17:36Speaker 1: and that's an insult if you don't know the person.
- 17:38Speaker 1: But if it's like your friend and.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Be like a silly cow, you'd be like you stupid bitch,
- 17:42Speaker 2: Like it's a joke. Yeah, got it, got it.
- 17:45Speaker 1: So she says she treats dates as interviews. She says
- 17:50Speaker 1: she has to have somebody with her own place, and
- 17:53Speaker 1: then she goes, look, I know I'm single because of
- 17:55Speaker 1: my own behavior. I'm a very guarded person. I don't
- 17:58Speaker 1: want to give myself to some and then not be enough.
- 18:02Speaker 1: So she says, I'm a hopeless romantic, but I don't
- 18:04Speaker 1: I don't allow anybody in.
- 18:07Speaker 3: He would not be able to tell at all because
- 18:09Speaker 3: that face is stone faced and just.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah. She the way she describes herself is.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Not what we see on episode one at all. What
- 18:19Speaker 3: do you mean like she's saying that, you know, she's
- 18:22Speaker 3: saying that she can be like a sweetheart, but we
- 18:24Speaker 3: don't really see that.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, no no at all.
- 18:27Speaker 1: No no no, we just see this kind of hardcore.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So she meets up with some guy and she's like,
- 18:34Speaker 1: dogs are cats and he goes, oh, I have a
- 18:36Speaker 1: cat and she goes, no, no, too hard.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Which is weird because she seems like she would be
- 18:41Speaker 2: a cat person.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Immediately she's like no what. He kind of looks like, okay,
- 18:44Speaker 1: well shit. So then she meets Charlie and says, I
- 18:49Speaker 1: need somebody to make me laugh, So give me some
- 18:51Speaker 1: dad jokes.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with dad jokes.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Boy, he does a dad joke, and then she gets
- 18:56Speaker 1: Patrick to give her a dad joke. She literally doesn't
- 18:59Speaker 1: laugh as a crack as my no, no, not even
- 19:02Speaker 1: a little. She didn't even fake the ship. She was
- 19:04Speaker 1: like that was funny, none of that. Then she meets Jordan.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Jordan says he lives at home, just him and his mom.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And she's like, all right, so she's gonna be a
- 19:18Speaker 1: tough nut to.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Crack, is what we're getting. Okay.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Now Sophie meets Kieren.
- 19:23Speaker 2: So.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Kieren is twenty eight. He's a gaming entrepreneur. He's good looking.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I didn't like his hair. His hair was a little swoopy.
- 19:32Speaker 3: It looks like a Dragon ball Z character. It was
- 19:35Speaker 3: swoops and back and ford. It was just all over
- 19:38Speaker 3: the place. Yeah, it was like it was pick pick
- 19:41Speaker 3: a direction, like it was thick.
- 19:44Speaker 2: It was it just it was swoopy. It was swoopy.
- 19:48Speaker 1: And so she says she this is still Sophie, right, Okay.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Sophie says she's one of five. She has four brothers.
- 19:56Speaker 1: So immediately you're like, okay, so she was always treated
- 20:00Speaker 1: like the pretty, pretty princess, got the four brothers. Yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 1: And he asks has she ever been in love? And
- 20:06Speaker 1: she goes, no, I don't you know. I don't think so.
- 20:09Speaker 1: And he says he just got out of a seven
- 20:12Speaker 1: year relationship that ended the year ago, but he doesn't
- 20:16Speaker 1: know if he's ever been in love or had a
- 20:17Speaker 1: deep emotional connection.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Like how is that even possible, then you had a
- 20:21Speaker 4: roommate in year seven years. Sometimes I wonder what people's
- 20:26Speaker 4: definitions of being in love are, because I know what
- 20:29Speaker 4: it is for me.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Why would you be with someone that long?
- 20:34Speaker 3: I mean that's almost like you could have said you
- 20:36Speaker 3: were married seven years, like yeah, yeah, here, that's common law.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Mary, but you don't even know you If you were
- 20:43Speaker 2: in love with that, then what were you all doing?
- 20:45Speaker 2: What were you doing? What were you doing?
- 20:47Speaker 1: And she says she had a five year relationship, but
- 20:50Speaker 1: at the end it felt like a best friend and
- 20:52Speaker 1: not a husband, and he goes, I just want to
- 20:54Speaker 1: be like obsessed with somebody, Like either're just everything to me.
- 20:57Speaker 1: You'll oh me too? Do you want kids? They both
- 21:00Speaker 1: want kids she's He goes, yeah, I mean I think
- 21:03Speaker 1: you know two, but I'd be open to more. And
- 21:05Speaker 1: she goes, no, I'm three, Max, because I don't want
- 21:08Speaker 1: an ugly car Tucket.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I agree. That's when people start talking about minivans and
- 21:14Speaker 3: shit like that.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Can't do it. And she was like, not going to
- 21:18Speaker 2: do that.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So she says the reason that she's doing this experiment
- 21:23Speaker 1: is because she doesn't let people in easily. And with
- 21:26Speaker 1: this experiment, you have to let people in. And she goes,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and this is probably why I've never truly been in love,
- 21:32Speaker 1: and so, you know, they're kind of joking around. He's like, oh,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm on a knee right now, and you know, then
- 21:36Speaker 1: it's like hope to see you tomorrow, blah blah blah.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And in the talking head she goes, there's something about him.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It felt very easy. I feel like my dad would
- 21:43Speaker 1: like him. And then she comes out and was like,
- 21:45Speaker 1: maybe my husband, maybe I just have my first date
- 21:48Speaker 1: with my husband, like da, da da, You know all that.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's what they do on the show.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So they sure do you met your husband and within
- 21:55Speaker 3: twenty minutes, But you dated a guy for five.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Years and what and were't in love with him and
- 22:00Speaker 1: he warn't in love with them? Okay, now Kieren meets
- 22:06Speaker 1: now the talking dad. Kieren tells us he's been single
- 22:08Speaker 1: for a year. He I mean just a year. So
- 22:11Speaker 1: he got out of a seven year relationship.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Been single for a year, he says.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Very active, very active on the dating apps, he says,
- 22:20Speaker 1: So I mean he is plugging along dating, you know,
- 22:24Speaker 1: he says, but you can't find any substance or depth
- 22:27Speaker 1: with these women. He helps to find love. He hopes
- 22:31Speaker 1: to find a wife, and uh, now Kieren meets Megan.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Megan is a dancer. Now, my husband walked in the
- 22:38Speaker 1: room while I was watching the first part of this
- 22:40Speaker 1: last night and goes, that girl said she's a dancer.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I go, yeah, He goes, what kind of a dancer?
- 22:45Speaker 1: So she says she danced on cruise ships and stuff.
- 22:47Speaker 1: He's like, oh, okay, but now like a stripper. It's like,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I didn't know where this is going.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I didn't think he was going to a stripper.
- 22:56Speaker 3: No, I was strippers on any of the seasons that I've.
- 22:59Speaker 1: WoT didn't redheaded redheaded from Minnesota? Didn't she say she
- 23:08Speaker 1: administerripper at one point.
- 23:10Speaker 3: No, she was like a basketball cheerleader or something like that.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Uh huh, uh huh.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I can't like it.
- 23:16Speaker 2: No one has had like a sixty kind of job. Yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, So she goes, oh, yeah, I danced on cruise ships.
- 23:25Speaker 1: You know for a lot of time, a lot of years.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I can see a lot of the world. And he says,
- 23:29Speaker 1: what kind of dancing do you like? Sheas well, jazz
- 23:31Speaker 1: is my forte. But when I was younger, I did freestyle, disco, dancing.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I was like, I'm gonna need more information about that.
- 23:37Speaker 3: That's hilarious freestyle disco dancing.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Mm hmm okay, and he goes, oh my god, I
- 23:44Speaker 1: love dancing. She goes really. He goes, oh yeah. He goes,
- 23:47Speaker 1: my hips don't lie. They're like liquid liquid hips and
- 23:50Speaker 1: it's hilarious. He says he has one brother and they
- 23:55Speaker 1: stay in contact a lot by playing video games, and
- 23:58Speaker 1: she goes, oh, video games. Uh yeah, I'm impressed. Well,
- 24:03Speaker 1: she goes, I'm a I'm a gaming entrepreneur. I market
- 24:06Speaker 1: video games, and then she goes, okay, nerdy, it's both
- 24:10Speaker 1: times with both women. He goes, yeah, I'm like a
- 24:12Speaker 1: secret nerd because I think what he's trying to say
- 24:15Speaker 1: is I'm good looking, so you wouldn't know I was
- 24:18Speaker 1: in there. I don't look nerdy, yep, because they.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Always throw out little nuggets.
- 24:25Speaker 3: I'm a secret nerd yes, which means like Clark Kent Superman,
- 24:30Speaker 3: like nerd right day Superman by night.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I clocked that too. Yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 1: So he asked her about her past relationships and she
- 24:40Speaker 1: says she's had short term boyfriends and she's actually fine
- 24:44Speaker 1: on her own, but she knows it would be ten
- 24:46Speaker 1: times better with the partner, and he says, do you
- 24:49Speaker 1: want a family and she says yes, she would always
- 24:52Speaker 1: thought she wouldn't have one child and also adopt, and
- 24:54Speaker 1: he's like, oh wow, I would be open to that.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I never thought about that, and the talking head Megan
- 24:59Speaker 1: goes instant spark with Kieren immediately I liked him.
- 25:06Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Back in the living quarters, Megan is telling a new
- 25:10Speaker 1: who we meet more or later about her date with
- 25:13Speaker 1: Kieren and.
- 25:14Speaker 2: She was like, yeah, we both live in London, Like
- 25:16Speaker 2: I really liked his vibe, and we see Sophie off
- 25:18Speaker 2: to the side.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Like eyeballing, eyeballing.
- 25:22Speaker 3: What happened to when they used to not say who
- 25:25Speaker 3: they really liked and to like further along in the episode,
- 25:28Speaker 3: so remember it used to be like super hush hush,
- 25:30Speaker 3: like I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna say not
- 25:34Speaker 3: so much because she's already.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Talking about it.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if she's telling a new because
- 25:40Speaker 1: they've kind of immediately become friends. As she knows she
- 25:42Speaker 1: and anew we're not going to like the same kind
- 25:43Speaker 1: of guy, so she feels like she could tell her,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know, sorry, maybe pulling her fruit flat on my
- 25:49Speaker 1: coffee fruit flies over. I can't imagine how many ere
- 25:55Speaker 1: in my system, how many I've just eaten? So girl, okay,
- 26:01Speaker 1: and the talking head Sophie, you know, is kind of eyeball,
- 26:04Speaker 1: and she goes, I can see that Kieran is vibing
- 26:07Speaker 1: with other people, and I don't.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Like to share. I mean, well, that's kind of this experience.
- 26:13Speaker 3: You kind of got a share a little bit, yeo,
- 26:17Speaker 3: Like you're going out on other days as well.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, all right? Is this talking head?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Now we get Patrick?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Patrick is thirty three and his job title is human
- 26:29Speaker 1: design coach. Well, I have a lot to say about that, okay,
- 26:35Speaker 1: human design coach.
- 26:37Speaker 3: So I have a very very very good friend who
- 26:40Speaker 3: actually was my first boyfriend, okay, and he is all
- 26:45Speaker 3: about that life. He has a human design coach. He
- 26:48Speaker 3: is prepared to become one himself.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Never heard this term in my life, never heard the.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Term human design.
- 26:58Speaker 3: When I tell you, when you talk to someone who's
- 27:02Speaker 3: into that, you will get off the phone or get
- 27:05Speaker 3: up from the table and say, what the fuck did
- 27:07Speaker 3: I just hear? It is like speaking a completely totally
- 27:11Speaker 3: different language, and you almost have to set up for me.
- 27:16Speaker 3: I have to set up boundaries. I'm like, Okay, some
- 27:18Speaker 3: of this is really cool, so cool. Unfortunately, you cannot
- 27:26Speaker 3: cure my lupus by human design. So he kind of believes, like,
- 27:32Speaker 3: we don't really have illnesses. It's our mind telling our
- 27:36Speaker 3: bodies that we have something. And I was like, hold up, shorty,
- 27:40Speaker 3: hold on. I think I'm going by my blood work and.
- 27:43Speaker 2: How I feel.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yes, I know.
- 27:46Speaker 2: It's a lot of.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Spirituality, lots a fast thing, like they have charts.
- 27:52Speaker 2: It is like meeting someone from a different planet.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Sounds a little bit like scientology, like if you have cancer,
- 27:59Speaker 1: that's because your brain allow.
- 28:01Speaker 3: So I tell him all the time, I say, you
- 28:03Speaker 3: know you're part of a fucking cult, right, I said,
- 28:05Speaker 3: you just refused to call it a cult. But it's
- 28:08Speaker 3: too anyone who's into that. This is just my opinion.
- 28:11Speaker 3: But everything is culty, very culty to me. And I'm like,
- 28:15Speaker 3: He's like, you can't come in, and so I know the.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Fuck I shouldn't come to that.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I just I've never heard I've never even heard this term.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So I'm glad that you that you know something about it,
- 28:25Speaker 1: because I know nothing. I mean, it sounds real fucking weird.
- 28:27Speaker 1: But it's your own, you know a lot.
- 28:30Speaker 3: And then so he actually started dating his human design
- 28:33Speaker 3: coach okay, and she went gorilla plus basshit crazy on him.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I was like, what about all that spirituality and that
- 28:43Speaker 3: calmness and that's zen and all of these Did you
- 28:46Speaker 3: get a crystal? Did you throw a crystal at her
- 28:48Speaker 3: or something like that. I'm like, this is a cult,
- 28:51Speaker 3: I said, and one day you'll figure it out that
- 28:53Speaker 3: it's just very cold. It's it's it seems so pretentious
- 28:59Speaker 3: in a way.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Uh huh uh huh.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yes, and like we're so much.
- 29:02Speaker 2: We're here.
- 29:03Speaker 3: You guys are down there, you're eating all these foods
- 29:06Speaker 3: and we're here doing online.
- 29:08Speaker 2: We'll just put on some goddamn deodorant and let's go.
- 29:11Speaker 2: It's this is fascinating, it's fascinating. Okay.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I'm so glad that you have this knowledge, because I
- 29:19Speaker 1: have now a clue.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So he starts talking about the earth and energy and
- 29:24Speaker 1: all these things. And so he's got this big chest
- 29:26Speaker 1: tattoo that you can see above his shirt that's got
- 29:29Speaker 1: the number of the Beasts or something in the middle.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I don't know what the fuck it is. It's a
- 29:33Speaker 2: trial life, the trio life. It's something.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an arrow. My spleen is here, I don't know.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yes, And they did that spleen ship.
- 29:43Speaker 2: You've heard it too. It was it was all too
- 29:44Speaker 2: familiar for me. I'm like, oh my god, here we believe.
- 29:47Speaker 3: But what the ironic thing is is that when me
- 29:50Speaker 3: and Robert had this conversation and how jokingly said online,
- 29:54Speaker 3: I know black people don't be out there, He's like, no,
- 29:56Speaker 3: not really, and then here we.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Go we meet Patrick. It's a human.
- 30:00Speaker 3: He's like, of all the gatherings I've been to, he's like,
- 30:02Speaker 3: I've seen two black people the whole time.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Well, maybe one of the moments, maybe I should introduce
- 30:06Speaker 2: it to Patrick. I was like, was one of their
- 30:08Speaker 2: nice Patrick?
- 30:09Speaker 4: Patrick, because he's a good he's a good looking guy,
- 30:12Speaker 4: actually opens his mouth of it starts.
- 30:15Speaker 2: And then you're like, what he says.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I want to find my life partner, my soulmate, my
- 30:21Speaker 1: twin flame nib. When you start to say twenty flame,
- 30:27Speaker 1: I start to think cults. There you go, he says,
- 30:30Speaker 1: you don't. I'm very unconventional. I'm not your typical London boy.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I'm very spiritual I'm very into energy. And so he
- 30:38Speaker 1: meets Yolanda first and he tells her, I'm into alignment
- 30:42Speaker 1: and spur of the moment and it's follow your spleen.
- 30:46Speaker 1: It's spollinic energy or what the something. And then he
- 30:50Speaker 1: tells other girls about his spleen and his gut feeling
- 30:53Speaker 1: and they're all like writing notes, gonna say what now?
- 30:56Speaker 2: So they don't get it, they need to go google
- 30:57Speaker 2: this ship.
- 30:59Speaker 1: He tells the girl named Christine who's in a caf
- 31:01Speaker 1: dan So I was like, Christine is me?
- 31:02Speaker 2: I am her? Now?
- 31:05Speaker 1: Patrick meets Anew and she's the singer and he says
- 31:09Speaker 1: he's a human designed coach. It's like a life coach,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but it uses a spiritual system called human design and
- 31:17Speaker 1: she goes, okay, yeah, and she says, but why why
- 31:20Speaker 1: I love now? Why are you looking for love now?
- 31:22Speaker 1: And he goes, I've done everything I want to do
- 31:24Speaker 1: and I want to find someone to just blow my mind.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It's just more of a feeling.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I've got to follow my spleenic awareness, where you trust
- 31:33Speaker 1: your feeling and you trust your spleen and you trust
- 31:35Speaker 1: your instinct in the moment, I will always follow it.
- 31:39Speaker 2: So it's trust your gut.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Literally, you just you replaced you switch organs.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I mean everything you're spleen is in your gut. Your
- 31:48Speaker 2: spleen is a gut. You could just be different.
- 31:51Speaker 1: It's just to say, I'm following my pancreas. I'm following
- 31:56Speaker 1: I do adenum and so I do a lot about
- 31:59Speaker 1: all those things in there.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Guys, I don't know.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I don't know if you know, but I gotta have
- 32:03Speaker 1: him in the problem. So she says, well, I'm Christian,
- 32:09Speaker 1: and she goes, and I pray, and I fast, and
- 32:11Speaker 1: I read my Bible like I get up in the
- 32:13Speaker 1: morning and I pray with my family on the phone.
- 32:16Speaker 1: And I don't know how that would fit in with
- 32:17Speaker 1: like your scientology beliefs spleen system.
- 32:22Speaker 2: And he goes.
- 32:23Speaker 1: He goes, I actually grew up Christian, and being Catholic
- 32:25Speaker 1: is a really big part of my life.
- 32:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's just affirmations, and I've talked to God in my head.
- 32:30Speaker 1: And she's like, okay, great. So they seem to like
- 32:32Speaker 1: each other. He says, he feels very safe and comfortable
- 32:36Speaker 1: talking to her. And what I want to say is
- 32:37Speaker 1: a new run because you're about to be indoctrinated into
- 32:39Speaker 1: a cult.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it could work, It could does She'll
- 32:48Speaker 3: have to set boundaries.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Does your friend that's in it only date girls that
- 32:53Speaker 1: are in it?
- 32:54Speaker 2: Or does he date girls?
- 32:56Speaker 3: Well? Yes, and know the last few girls have been
- 33:04Speaker 3: in that. But like I said, he and I are close,
- 33:07Speaker 3: and I'm totally not into that shit at all. So
- 33:10Speaker 3: I don't know if it's like it's like a break
- 33:11Speaker 3: of not having it. To me, it is so hard
- 33:14Speaker 3: to be into what they're into. Yeah, you know what
- 33:17Speaker 3: I mean, Whereas I think a lot of the stuff
- 33:18Speaker 3: they do, I just start.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Laughing when he tells me about it. I'm like, is
- 33:21Speaker 2: it really that serious? It's not that serious. I'm like,
- 33:25Speaker 2: I used to do drugs, you know.
- 33:29Speaker 1: But he's like, but my spleen cured me, So what
- 33:31Speaker 1: are you talking about?
- 33:32Speaker 3: Yeah? Cause one day I got like a text from him.
- 33:34Speaker 3: It's like, I need to know your rising sun and
- 33:36Speaker 3: this you're rising this East West swing mood all this,
- 33:40Speaker 3: And I'm like, okay, long as you're not asking me
- 33:42Speaker 3: for money. Yeah cool, here's all that information. Like why
- 33:45Speaker 3: do you need it? He goes, I'm just going through
- 33:47Speaker 3: all my excees to figure out like, why.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Our relationship didn't work?
- 33:51Speaker 3: I said, well, you were abusing cocaine when we were dating,
- 33:55Speaker 3: and you were very aggressive and you were an alcoholic.
- 33:59Speaker 3: I didn't even realize those things.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I was so young.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I say, so there you go.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I already solved my our issue. I don't know about
- 34:04Speaker 2: the other girls.
- 34:05Speaker 1: You don't need to know about my rising my rising
- 34:07Speaker 1: moon sign, because no, you were the problem. You had
- 34:10Speaker 1: a cocaine.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he finally told me. I was like, there was
- 34:14Speaker 3: wrong with me. And I'm like, well, there you go.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You don't need all this other drawing ship.
- 34:18Speaker 1: And well listen, it sounds like it gives him something
- 34:21Speaker 1: to do. So and they're talking head and who says,
- 34:26Speaker 1: She goes, he's sweet, He's really deep, and we were
- 34:28Speaker 1: speaking like friends, and I think that's great, Like I
- 34:30Speaker 1: can't wait to see what happens is I talked to
- 34:32Speaker 1: him more so now we meet, Okay, sorrow over now
- 34:38Speaker 1: phonetically she said. And this is also because of her accent.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Surveyor like savior, save ver like no, save, yes, save
- 34:52Speaker 1: I wrote it, save ver, m say, but it's.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Spelled sorrow over it.
- 35:00Speaker 1: When she says the favor everybody says are over, but
- 35:02Speaker 1: they don't even know like how to anyway, I'm gonna
- 35:05Speaker 1: call her sorrow over.
- 35:06Speaker 2: It's just one of those things.
- 35:07Speaker 1: It's hard for me, and the other people in the
- 35:10Speaker 1: show are saying it's sorrow over, so that's all I'm
- 35:12Speaker 1: gonna say it. So she says, my friends would say
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm a sweet person, quirky, no common sense sometimes, and
- 35:21Speaker 1: she says, I only it's not good. She says, I
- 35:24Speaker 1: only I only grew up dating only Indian boys, but
- 35:27Speaker 1: I always wanted like an Indian zach Ephron, like a.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Pretty boy with wispy hair.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And that's probably why I'm still single. But I'm trying
- 35:35Speaker 1: to now embrace this experience. I feel like my husband
- 35:38Speaker 1: is here.
- 35:39Speaker 2: She's even undating in a box. Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 1: She hasn't expanded horizons at all. So she meets Charlie.
- 35:47Speaker 1: She says she's from Buckingham's here and he goes, oh,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and she goes, has nothing to do with Buckingham Palace
- 35:54Speaker 1: and he goes, wow, I could I could tell your
- 35:56Speaker 1: posh and he says, but everyone is posh to me.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Now.
- 36:00Speaker 1: She meets Cal okay, Cal is thirty two in a
- 36:02Speaker 1: gym owner now somewhere else it said cod gym owner.
- 36:05Speaker 2: But his chirn under here says Jim. Yeah.
- 36:07Speaker 3: When he told her what he did, he said code
- 36:09Speaker 3: Jim on her. But I was so busy naming our
- 36:12Speaker 3: first three children after I saw him. Really can't pay
- 36:15Speaker 3: attention to much else because he's pretty good looking.
- 36:18Speaker 1: He's good looking, but I don't like his George Clon
- 36:21Speaker 1: haircut from the R Days. That sees her haircut. If
- 36:24Speaker 1: she needs a guy with wispy hair, Cal's not it.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you a question.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I kept going back and forth on his eye color
- 36:32Speaker 3: because sometimes they look really light, uh huh, and then
- 36:35Speaker 3: there were other times where they look dark, and I
- 36:38Speaker 3: was confused he wearing contacts, But I don't think that
- 36:42Speaker 3: he is. But I think they kind of go light
- 36:44Speaker 3: go dark, like his pupils go. Being small.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I wasn't studying him that closely because I watched the
- 36:50Speaker 1: first part of my TV and then the second part
- 36:52Speaker 1: of my computer. I wasn't studying him, but I will
- 36:55Speaker 1: on the episode too. I look, I'll look closer for you.
- 36:57Speaker 2: He's good looking, he's really cute.
- 36:59Speaker 1: He's from Wigan and they laugh about how she's from Buckingham. Sure,
- 37:03Speaker 1: she's from a posh area and they laugh about their ages.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I don't I guess he asked her how old she is.
- 37:11Speaker 1: He's thirty two and she's twenty nine, so that's fine.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess that they were. It was
- 37:18Speaker 2: a joke. It was like we got yeah. He was like,
- 37:21Speaker 2: is that too old? Do I can? I know? I
- 37:24Speaker 2: was like, that was cute.
- 37:27Speaker 1: She says she owns a medical company, and he says
- 37:31Speaker 1: he co owns a gym. She talks about, Oh my god,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I love the gym, like I start off my day
- 37:37Speaker 1: with the fitness and whatever. He's like, up big tick
- 37:39Speaker 1: in my book. Anybody that, like, you know, likes to exercise.
- 37:43Speaker 1: He says he's been single for over a year. He
- 37:45Speaker 1: dated a girl in Dubai and it fell apart and
- 37:49Speaker 1: he learned if it's not right, you just have to
- 37:51Speaker 1: let it go. And he says, I think this experiment
- 37:53Speaker 1: is a great way to date with intention. And he
- 37:58Speaker 1: says he has two older brothers and two younger sisters,
- 38:00Speaker 1: and everybody has kids, and he, you know, he wants
- 38:03Speaker 1: that right.
- 38:04Speaker 2: She says she's in the same concern a little bit. Okay,
- 38:07Speaker 2: tell me why.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Because a lot of these people stuck around in relationships
- 38:13Speaker 3: that they were not happy with for years.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Not cal though, he said he learned if it's not right,
- 38:19Speaker 1: just let it go.
- 38:20Speaker 3: But he had dated her for a little bit.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Though, Well, your fruit flies are making me it, and
- 38:26Speaker 2: I got to tell you something.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I don't want to jinx it, but I feel like
- 38:28Speaker 1: today they're better because they're not as swarming around.
- 38:33Speaker 2: But maybe they're all in my coffee cup. I don't know.
- 38:36Speaker 1: They may be on their lunch break. They're just around
- 38:42Speaker 1: the table like you talking about So he talks about
- 38:49Speaker 1: his older brothers. She says she's in the same boat,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and he says, he says, what kind of wife do
- 38:55Speaker 1: you envision you would be? Which is an interesting question,
- 38:59Speaker 1: And she says, well, I work with because you know,
- 39:01Speaker 1: she's obviously owns a company, right right. And she says, well,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I work really hard, but I want to be present
- 39:09Speaker 1: for my children, you know. And he goes, I'm kind
- 39:11Speaker 1: of old school, and I would want to be like
- 39:13Speaker 1: the provider and protect her, and she goes, that's great,
- 39:16Speaker 1: and he says, but I'll also see the appeal of
- 39:18Speaker 1: being with somebody like you, like a force to be
- 39:20Speaker 1: reckoned with you know, they talk about a couple of goals,
- 39:23Speaker 1: which you know how much Kisha and I'd love for
- 39:24Speaker 1: people to talk.
- 39:25Speaker 2: About power couple goals. We just it is our jam.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I love it when people talk about being a power
- 39:32Speaker 1: couple and so they're like, this was great. You know,
- 39:35Speaker 1: we should talk again, all right? Talking head Cal says
- 39:38Speaker 1: people might think I'm like a meathead because I own
- 39:41Speaker 1: a gym, but I couldn't be further from the truth.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I like to read, I like to play chess, I
- 39:45Speaker 1: can cook. I'm close with my mother. My grandmother lives
- 39:48Speaker 1: next door to her, so I'm close with my grandma.
- 39:51Speaker 1: And he says, I've had some short term relationships, and
- 39:55Speaker 1: I do think true leve will hit you like a
- 39:57Speaker 1: training You won't. You don't even know what's happening. And
- 39:59Speaker 1: that's what I'm looking for. All these people seem to
- 40:01Speaker 1: think that they're just going to be hit with a
- 40:03Speaker 1: comment and it's gonna be boom. This is my person.
- 40:07Speaker 1: That is not quite how it goes.
- 40:08Speaker 3: And if you remember, on the first season, we had
- 40:13Speaker 3: a guy who was a co gym owner and it
- 40:16Speaker 3: turned out he was pretty fucking broke.
- 40:19Speaker 1: You're right, and she says she owns a medical company.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Does that mean she owns a medical company?
- 40:26Speaker 2: Okay?
- 40:27Speaker 1: So does this mean she sells essential oils out of
- 40:29Speaker 1: her backseat? Like, I mean, it could mean anything, guys.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I and sometimes I wish they would just explain more
- 40:35Speaker 3: of what their job is, because like that could mean
- 40:39Speaker 3: a lot.
- 40:39Speaker 2: She could own a METSPA. I mean that's medical.
- 40:43Speaker 1: She could she could sell botox, but she could also
- 40:48Speaker 1: be selling Amway and they have a vitamin in there.
- 40:51Speaker 1: So she says she owns a medical company. I mean,
- 40:53Speaker 1: you know what I mean, we have.
- 40:54Speaker 2: No idea at all. And I and I think what
- 40:59Speaker 2: we have found is sometimes when they get to uh,
- 41:02Speaker 2: when they've already gotten engaged and they go on their trip,
- 41:05Speaker 2: some of them are really starting to find out, Okay,
- 41:07Speaker 2: your job is not quite what I thought your job was.
- 41:10Speaker 2: We've seen that happen a lot. Yeah.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Financially, you're not where I want to be. Yeah yeah, okay,
- 41:19Speaker 1: So end of that day, Well I have an in
- 41:21Speaker 1: a day Okay, So now we're beginning a day too.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So Ashley and Billy going another day. Ashley is the
- 41:28Speaker 1: flight attendant. Billy is the former workout guy that's the
- 41:32Speaker 1: league got yeah, army guy. So she says, do you
- 41:36Speaker 1: have tattoos? And he goes, I do.
- 41:38Speaker 2: I did.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I always find it so weird when people who have
- 41:42Speaker 1: not run out of space either tattoo their neck or
- 41:44Speaker 1: their hands. He hasn't run out of space. Yeah, he
- 41:49Speaker 1: hasn't run out of space, but he has a hand tattoo. Anyway,
- 41:54Speaker 1: I didn't. It's not great anyway. He says that on
- 41:59Speaker 1: the inside of Unarmed, he has a musical line, and
- 42:04Speaker 1: it is the musical notes and the words of the
- 42:07Speaker 1: Michael Bouble so on, I just haven't met you.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yet, And I immediately would have left the date.
- 42:14Speaker 1: He has written. It's on there, and what he's doing
- 42:17Speaker 1: is I just haven't met you yet. And then the
- 42:19Speaker 1: next line of whatever it is, and he's waiting to
- 42:22Speaker 1: write the girl's name that is for him underneath, and
- 42:24Speaker 1: that'll be on him forever.
- 42:26Speaker 2: No, I gotta go. Someone called me.
- 42:30Speaker 3: I can't something that IDs is going on, like I
- 42:34Speaker 3: would need to leave the.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Date If he was married for five years? Why did
- 42:38Speaker 2: he put her name there?
- 42:40Speaker 1: Did he get this tattoo after he got divorced as
- 42:43Speaker 1: a fuck you to the first y?
- 42:46Speaker 3: And it's just so cheesy. Okay, when he said that
- 42:50Speaker 3: it was music and notes, I'm like, that's really fucking cheesy.
- 42:53Speaker 3: But then when he said it was Michael Boublaz, I lost.
- 42:56Speaker 3: I just I said, you know what, I may need
- 42:59Speaker 3: to close the life up talk for a little bit
- 43:01Speaker 3: because I'm about to lose my mind if this guy
- 43:05Speaker 3: so serious right now, Like I couldn't that's just me.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I'm sure lots of women think that's super super sweet.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Yeah I don't I at all.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I was in the middle.
- 43:20Speaker 2: There.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Here's something you don't hear often on bald Head Island.
- 43:23Speaker 1: It's a sign of a siren. Yeah, it's not often.
- 43:27Speaker 1: So either somebody had an abdominal aneurysm.
- 43:31Speaker 3: I was about to say, was another to come up
- 43:33Speaker 3: for you knock.
- 43:34Speaker 2: On wood, or they got bit by a shark, or
- 43:36Speaker 2: there was a golf cart crash. It's it's one of
- 43:39Speaker 2: those things.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yeah, the shark is pretty rare, but golf cart crashes
- 43:42Speaker 1: are often.
- 43:43Speaker 2: But yeah, it's coming right by the house, so.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I don't know if they're taking somebody to the ferry.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 43:47Speaker 1: That's exciting. So I'll get on the Facebook page later
- 43:51Speaker 1: and find out.
- 43:51Speaker 2: I know you will.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Anyway, So I I got was.
- 43:56Speaker 2: In the middle.
- 43:57Speaker 1: I was sort of like, I don't think. It doesn't
- 44:00Speaker 1: say I just haven't met you yet. It says the
- 44:02Speaker 1: next line and then he's gonna put the girl. I
- 44:04Speaker 1: like that, but I'd like to know if he got
- 44:07Speaker 1: that in anger two weeks after he got his divorced
- 44:10Speaker 1: to be like, fuck you, ex wife, I'm gonna do this,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and then I'll put the next girl in ink on
- 44:15Speaker 1: me because you don't deserve it or was the girl's
- 44:18Speaker 1: name there? And he got it covered with those musical notes, Oh,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I know more to me.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Unless you are a pianist a good time, so a
- 44:30Speaker 3: musician of some kind, you should not fucking have sheet
- 44:33Speaker 3: music on your body.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Well that I don't know.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I was waiting for him to say, also I'm a
- 44:38Speaker 1: trained pianist or something, you know.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Nope, he did not say that. It was very cheesy
- 44:44Speaker 2: to me, but okay, I'll know, Yeah, I agree.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I was in the middle. I didn't hate it,
- 44:48Speaker 1: but I also wasn't like, ooh, that's a panty dropper.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I was like, no, god, no, uh huh. And then
- 44:55Speaker 1: they talk about, you know, intimacy and cuddling, and he
- 44:59Speaker 1: says he likes to be little spoon, but in the
- 45:01Speaker 1: morning he likes to turn around to be the big spoon.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And they kind of talk about, you know all that.
- 45:05Speaker 2: I really gotta go now.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I I have got I'm about to leave the whole
- 45:12Speaker 3: show right now because of this one guy between the
- 45:17Speaker 3: music notes and now.
- 45:18Speaker 2: You want to tuttle, you want to touch me too.
- 45:26Speaker 1: But listen, you know, like I say all the time,
- 45:28Speaker 1: there's a lid for every part.
- 45:29Speaker 2: She likes it, you know, good for her.
- 45:32Speaker 1: And so he says, will you go with me to
- 45:34Speaker 1: like a country music concert? He likes country music. They
- 45:37Speaker 1: talk about boots. She says she really loves that he's
- 45:40Speaker 1: military because she was military. And now Ashley goes and
- 45:45Speaker 1: talks to Megan about how great Billy is and Megan's like, oh,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I've got these great vibes with Kieren Kieren.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Here we go. Yeah, talk.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Yes, they're talking about it used to be like so
- 45:57Speaker 3: top secret, Yes, who you revivee with? And it I mean,
- 46:01Speaker 3: we're an episode fun I know, and they're already saying it.
- 46:06Speaker 1: It is interesting because you could see Ashley and Meghan
- 46:10Speaker 1: having the same type. So it's interesting that they're talking
- 46:13Speaker 1: about it because they could have the same type and
- 46:15Speaker 1: then they'd be in competition, but they behave friends. So
- 46:19Speaker 1: in the talking head, Kieren says, navigating the connections is tricky.
- 46:25Speaker 1: You know, I had the first date. Navigating the connections
- 46:29Speaker 1: is tricky? Is that not what you say?
- 46:31Speaker 2: Navigating the fruit.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Flies are getting to her brain? Everyone sounding like me navigating,
- 46:43Speaker 3: We're navigating.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Navigating the connections is tricky.
- 46:49Speaker 2: And with this first date with Sophie, she ticked all
- 46:52Speaker 2: the boxes.
- 46:53Speaker 1: But it's also kind of you know, like in Megan.
- 46:56Speaker 1: So now Meghan and Kieren go on a date. And
- 47:00Speaker 1: I remember Megan is the redheaded dancer and here it
- 47:02Speaker 1: is the good looking guy. Kisha doesn't like his swoopy hair.
- 47:06Speaker 1: He asked her what gives you the butterflies? And she goes,
- 47:09Speaker 1: oh my god, if somebody like kisses me on the
- 47:11Speaker 1: ear and also like eye contact, and he goes yeah
- 47:15Speaker 1: before and during and then so they're just really talking
- 47:19Speaker 1: about it, and he's like, oh, I'm getting hot in here.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna need to go walk it off. And they
- 47:22Speaker 1: both talk about how they're both like super sweaty people
- 47:25Speaker 1: and like ooh, like it would be like slippery all over.
- 47:28Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, I needed half a Xanax. Hearing them
- 47:32Speaker 3: talk about sweating and still.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Cuddling, that was I was a no, no, if you're sweaty,
- 47:39Speaker 1: I need sheets off, everything off, I need a fan
- 47:41Speaker 1: on me. No.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Now, Mary kay, let me ask you this like he
- 47:46Speaker 3: asked her, like, what gives you butterflies?
- 47:48Speaker 2: What gives you butterflies? Nothing? My answer would be puppies, babies.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I mean I told you earlier today. The little girl
- 47:59Speaker 1: was on the deck at the house, so were just.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Like, can I let your dog what your dog save?
- 48:03Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, come over here.
- 48:04Speaker 2: You would have mew, come over here. I was like,
- 48:07Speaker 2: that was cute. Yeah, yeah, those are the things that
- 48:10Speaker 2: give me butterflies. Yeah. I don't even don't so much.
- 48:14Speaker 2: I wouldn't.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I just wouldn't be telling somebody that I had never
- 48:19Speaker 1: met to be like you know what, I really like.
- 48:21Speaker 1: I like it when you do this or that. That's
- 48:23Speaker 1: just like something that you learn with somebody as you go.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know, but whatever. This is
- 48:31Speaker 2: the show.
- 48:31Speaker 1: They have nothing else to talk about, they have nothing
- 48:33Speaker 1: else to do. They can't look at the phones, they
- 48:35Speaker 1: can't even read a newspaper, so you know why not.
- 48:38Speaker 1: So in the talking head, Kieren's like whoa, Like that
- 48:41Speaker 1: was great with Megan. I could feel that sexual tension
- 48:45Speaker 1: through the wall. So now I meets with Sophie, who
- 48:47Speaker 1: we know is like super guarded, and he tries to
- 48:51Speaker 1: talk to her about like do you think intimacy is important?
- 48:54Speaker 1: And she goes, we're good, everything's fine, don't worry, You'll
- 48:57Speaker 1: be happy when you see me. And he goes, well,
- 48:59Speaker 1: that's not what I'm talking about. It I'm talking about
- 49:01Speaker 1: like cuddling and intimacy whatever, and she goes, well, we're sorted, Karen,
- 49:05Speaker 1: it's fine. We're all sorted on that, and he goes, okay,
- 49:08Speaker 1: so it's a business decision.
- 49:09Speaker 2: We should just say.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Care it really is.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Yeah, does have a ges, Yeah yeah.
- 49:17Speaker 2: She even has that look about her a little bit too.
- 49:20Speaker 2: And I really like Jess, but she kind of reminds me.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Of it's a little bit like she's in same with Megan,
- 49:27Speaker 1: and like, I'm trying to tell you I am gorgeous,
- 49:31Speaker 1: so you're not gonna need to worry about that. But
- 49:33Speaker 1: that's not what he's asking. He's not saying do you
- 49:36Speaker 1: look good? He's saying like, do you like to snuggle?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Do you like to hold hands at the movie, or
- 49:42Speaker 1: And she's just like, don't worry about it, like I'm hot,
- 49:44Speaker 1: you'll be fine. He's like, that's not what I'm asking.
- 49:47Speaker 2: You know, I'm pretty to hug.
- 49:49Speaker 3: So yeah, she's just well, he did the same thing.
- 49:51Speaker 3: He threw out a couple of little tibbits, like alluding
- 49:55Speaker 3: to that.
- 49:55Speaker 2: He's good looking.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. So so
- 50:00Speaker 1: in the talking heads, So if he says, my biggest
- 50:02Speaker 1: fear is falling in love, I don't deal with rejection
- 50:05Speaker 1: very well. So I don't put myself in a position
- 50:07Speaker 1: to be rejected. I think I don't want somebody to
- 50:10Speaker 1: see all the sides of me, because then I if
- 50:12Speaker 1: they reject me, then I could say, ha ha, joke's
- 50:15Speaker 1: on you, because you haven't seen all the sides of me.
- 50:17Speaker 1: And only my father has probably ever seen all the
- 50:20Speaker 1: sides of me. So daddy issues. So now we go
- 50:24Speaker 1: to Sarf and Cal and he asked her how she
- 50:31Speaker 1: feels about change, and she goes, oh, I get a
- 50:35Speaker 1: little like, you know, stressed and flustered, And he goes, well,
- 50:38Speaker 1: I'm really good at dealing with stressful situations, so I
- 50:40Speaker 1: could calm you down, we'd be good for each other.
- 50:43Speaker 1: And he tells us that he's had points in his
- 50:45Speaker 1: life where he almost lost both of his brothers. The
- 50:49Speaker 1: one brother was in the military and was shot when
- 50:52Speaker 1: he was in Afghanistan and they didn't know if he
- 50:55Speaker 1: was going to die.
- 50:57Speaker 2: And his other.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Brother has had terrible alcohol and drug addiction problems his
- 51:01Speaker 1: whole life. But when he cow was in Dubai, his
- 51:05Speaker 1: brother checked himself into a rehab has been two years sober.
- 51:09Speaker 1: His met a wife has turned his life around. And
- 51:13Speaker 1: she's like, oh my gosh, like that's so hard, but
- 51:15Speaker 1: that's so amazing, you know. And he's like, it's really
- 51:18Speaker 1: hard for us because we never thought he would do it,
- 51:20Speaker 1: and I could I understand that. And she was like,
- 51:23Speaker 1: I really like kind of like you know what we're
- 51:25Speaker 1: building here. And on day two, Day two, we're building
- 51:30Speaker 1: building and talking head she says he's a sweet, emotional
- 51:33Speaker 1: person and that's kind of rare to find in a guy.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Now we see it. Now we see it talking head,
- 51:39Speaker 1: where Billy says Ashley, the flight attendant, is his strongest
- 51:43Speaker 1: connection and her talking head. Ashley says things are going
- 51:47Speaker 1: great with Billy. I've developed a deep connection with him.
- 51:50Speaker 1: She's a little gives me a little bit of last
- 51:52Speaker 1: season Meg, a little bit of like puppy vibes, like
- 51:56Speaker 1: just like yee, just like so excited, you.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Know, very very excitable. Yeah.
- 52:02Speaker 1: So she asked Billy about his big Irish family and
- 52:05Speaker 1: he says, well, my dad was my role model, and
- 52:08Speaker 1: he just starts to tear up. He goes, isn't that weird,
- 52:10Speaker 1: Like you don't think, you just say it out loud
- 52:12Speaker 1: and you tear up. And he says, over the last
- 52:15Speaker 1: few years, my dad's had some injuries and that's been hard.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Because you know, your dad is like Superman injuries. From
- 52:20Speaker 2: what I wondered, like what kind of injuries.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Well, it could just be like he had to get
- 52:24Speaker 1: a knee replacement or just like old people's stuff. That's
- 52:27Speaker 1: what I was thinking, Like he fell and now he's
- 52:32Speaker 1: got to get a knee replacement, and that's hard because
- 52:34Speaker 1: you think he's Superman.
- 52:35Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, you know there's.
- 52:37Speaker 3: So much practical because I'm thinking, like, is he like
- 52:40Speaker 3: John Wick and he was like in a shootout and
- 52:42Speaker 3: he got shot and he had an injury, like some
- 52:46Speaker 3: details here, but you're probably right.
- 52:49Speaker 1: No, I think he just slipped going out to get
- 52:50Speaker 1: the paper. And she says, well, her parents split when
- 52:56Speaker 1: she was sixteen, and as the eldest child, she felt
- 53:00Speaker 1: she had to be the provider. She was sixteen, and
- 53:03Speaker 1: she says, so I immediately jumped in. I was the leader.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I was in the supporter role for my mom and
- 53:07Speaker 1: my sisters, and I got to the bills really quickly.
- 53:09Speaker 1: At age sixteen, she started paying the bills at he's sixteen.
- 53:12Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 53:13Speaker 1: He's like wow, and she goes, so, now I'm kind
- 53:16Speaker 1: of at a stage where I want somebody to look
- 53:18Speaker 1: after me because I've always looked after other people. She's
- 53:23Speaker 1: worked as cabin crew for eleven years. And he says,
- 53:26Speaker 1: would you ever consider like another job, and she goes, oh, yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 1: absolutely I would. But it's just been good for me
- 53:32Speaker 1: as a single girl, right to do it. So this
- 53:35Speaker 1: is where you're kind of getting the idea that cabin
- 53:38Speaker 1: crew is not as great as we've been led.
- 53:41Speaker 2: To believe here in the first time. Yeah, And it's
- 53:42Speaker 2: like yeah.
- 53:45Speaker 1: It's like it is crazy that they're all like, WHOA
- 53:48Speaker 1: your cabin crew? Because even in the girls. She's like,
- 53:51Speaker 1: she's like tea coffee, gonna get you something the bar,
- 53:53Speaker 1: and they're all like, yeah, cabin crew.
- 53:56Speaker 2: I don't understand it at all.
- 53:58Speaker 3: I just it's a great job. I mean I have
- 54:01Speaker 3: you know. And they're like, oh, I love it. I
- 54:03Speaker 3: mean some people who have retired from education they did this.
- 54:07Speaker 2: And she's like, I love it. I have got freedom,
- 54:08Speaker 2: I can travel, Yeah, come home.
- 54:10Speaker 3: It's great. So I just this is odd to me
- 54:15Speaker 3: how they're reacting to it, like they've never met someone
- 54:18Speaker 3: who was a flight attendant.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild. I did it.
- 54:23Speaker 1: So the talking head, he says, Billy says, when we
- 54:26Speaker 1: talk about the future, it just lingers in my mind
- 54:29Speaker 1: that she's cabin crew because she would be gone for
- 54:32Speaker 1: long periods of time. And I've dated a cabin crew
- 54:34Speaker 1: before and you don't see them very often. Now he
- 54:37Speaker 1: does say, I got a perfect relationship to me, and
- 54:39Speaker 1: it sounds great. But he remember, he said his first
- 54:43Speaker 1: wife was also in the army and there were ships
- 54:45Speaker 1: passing in the night. I wonder if she was also
- 54:47Speaker 1: cabin crew.
- 54:49Speaker 3: I mean, if saw we need him to say that.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit of a sk for me.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Because my first wife and we did see each other
- 54:56Speaker 1: all yeah, so I had I would kind of need
- 54:58Speaker 1: to know that if we're going for or there, would
- 55:01Speaker 1: you be willing to rearrange your schedule, you know that
- 55:04Speaker 1: kind of thing, which.
- 55:05Speaker 3: I think is a lot to add someone on the
- 55:07Speaker 3: second date right once.
- 55:08Speaker 1: She but she says she would consider a different job,
- 55:11Speaker 1: but right now it's good for her because she's single,
- 55:13Speaker 1: right all right now? Patrick and anew Patrick the human
- 55:18Speaker 1: design coach and a knew the singer going to date
- 55:20Speaker 1: and she says, paint me a picture of your childhood
- 55:23Speaker 1: and he says, well, I had a Jamaican mother a
- 55:25Speaker 1: Nigerian Nigerian dad, and she goes, wow, that's crazy because
- 55:30Speaker 1: Nigerians are so strict and Jamaicans are so like free.
- 55:33Speaker 1: And he's like, wow, like you just like describe my
- 55:36Speaker 1: whole childhood and she says, we don't. I'm Nigerian. I
- 55:39Speaker 1: don't know if you knew that, and he says, no,
- 55:41Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 55:41Speaker 2: She said yeah.
- 55:43Speaker 1: And then they talk about, you know, religion, and he
- 55:46Speaker 1: says both of his parents, the Jamaican and the Nigerian,
- 55:48Speaker 1: are both Christian. He goes with my dad to prostrict.
- 55:51Speaker 1: My mom very free and easy and not strict whatsoever.
- 55:55Speaker 1: A new says her mom came from Nigeria with nothing
- 55:59Speaker 1: as an immigrant, and now she owns a house, she
- 56:02Speaker 1: works for the government, and she has three successful daughters
- 56:04Speaker 1: who you were educated and she really looks up to
- 56:08Speaker 1: Like what her mom says. She never mentions her dad,
- 56:10Speaker 1: So I don't know she came to Nigeria with these
- 56:12Speaker 1: three daughters, or she married somebody and had the three
- 56:14Speaker 1: daughters and their dad left.
- 56:15Speaker 2: We didn't write that part.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and he says he she goes, you, you talk
- 56:21Speaker 1: to my mother about her going to school in Nigeria
- 56:24Speaker 1: and it was like they had to get their own water,
- 56:26Speaker 1: they had to make their but you know, they were
- 56:28Speaker 1: like boarding school. And he goes, yeah, I spent a
- 56:30Speaker 1: year in Nigeria and did all that.
- 56:31Speaker 2: She's like, what, like, no way.
- 56:34Speaker 1: So the talking head he says, a new is abundant.
- 56:39Speaker 1: What of course he would use that word, A new
- 56:43Speaker 1: is abundant? Huh abundant?
- 56:47Speaker 2: Did you not hear me when I described these people
- 56:49Speaker 2: earlier a lot? They say it's bullshit.
- 56:52Speaker 1: It's just like it's like that word doesn't abundant. She's
- 56:57Speaker 1: got a bountiful abundance, the bushel of apples. Like what
- 57:02Speaker 1: are you talking about of pay because she doesn't have
- 57:05Speaker 1: a lot of hair.
- 57:06Speaker 3: Like like I said, it's a lot of words word,
- 57:10Speaker 3: lots of birthplays that I have found with my experience
- 57:13Speaker 3: with it.
- 57:13Speaker 2: So yeah, he.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Says, a new is abundant, open minded and spiritual. She
- 57:19Speaker 1: has a fiery energy and there's definitely an emotional connection.
- 57:23Speaker 1: All right, cal and Sorrowver meet up and he comes in.
- 57:27Speaker 1: It's like, oh hello, and she goes, oh, your Wigan
- 57:30Speaker 1: accent gets me every time.
- 57:33Speaker 2: It all.
- 57:33Speaker 3: It's always so funny to me how they can point
- 57:36Speaker 3: out the accent.
- 57:37Speaker 2: They all sound like they went to Hogwarts together.
- 57:40Speaker 3: But I guess it's the thing like with us, Like
- 57:42Speaker 3: we meet up, you can tell we're from different parts
- 57:45Speaker 3: of you know, the country, but to us they just
- 57:47Speaker 3: sound the same. Unless you're like Irish, then I can like, okay,
- 57:51Speaker 3: that person is clearly Irish.
- 57:53Speaker 1: But I can usually tell the difference if somebody is
- 57:55Speaker 1: like a super like Posh accent versus more of a
- 57:58Speaker 1: Cockney accent. Or it's funny. I mean, it is funny
- 58:02Speaker 1: that you get a lot of listeners that will write
- 58:04Speaker 1: in and be like, it's so funny that you guys
- 58:06Speaker 1: think everybody in England is fancy, you know, Like we
- 58:11Speaker 1: were covering ninety Dight UK and we're like, I can't
- 58:13Speaker 1: believe this lady that they're like everybody in England is
- 58:15Speaker 1: not fancy just because of our accent.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, yeah, that is something that we are
- 58:19Speaker 3: brought up as kids, you know, like if you're from
- 58:22Speaker 3: the UK, because there's a castle there, there's a king,
- 58:25Speaker 3: there's a queen and all these things. That's just but
- 58:27Speaker 3: we know better now, we've seen enough with these guys, we.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Know, she says.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Sorrver says she had a great upbringing, but her parents
- 58:39Speaker 1: divorced about five years ago, and splitting up Christmas has
- 58:42Speaker 1: been really hard. They sort of talk about Christmas memories
- 58:45Speaker 1: and she tears up talking about it, and he goes,
- 58:48Speaker 1: but on the plus side, now you'll have like your
- 58:50Speaker 1: own Christmas family dinners to look forward to. He says
- 58:53Speaker 1: he grew up happy and his parents divorced when he
- 58:56Speaker 1: was around eighteen in his first year at UNI, and
- 59:00Speaker 1: so around the same time her parents split up, and
- 59:03Speaker 1: he said, my dad moved away.
- 59:04Speaker 2: She was were are you close to him?
- 59:05Speaker 1: He said, well, he lives in Dubai now, so when
- 59:08Speaker 1: I was there, I actually saw him quite a bit
- 59:10Speaker 1: when he I don't know. I don't know if he
- 59:11Speaker 1: moved to Dubai for the girl or he happened to
- 59:13Speaker 1: live in Dubai and met a girl.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Said, I'm clear because he's a gym owner. So don't
- 59:18Speaker 2: know exactly.
- 59:20Speaker 1: He said, you know, my mom is English and my
- 59:23Speaker 1: dad is from Pakistan, so I have the Muslim and
- 59:26Speaker 1: the Christian side and my family. And she goes, oh, interesting,
- 59:29Speaker 1: So my heritage is Indian. He goes, oh, really, He said, well,
- 59:36Speaker 1: I'm half Pakistani, so I don't know if your family
- 59:39Speaker 1: who's Indian would accept thee And they joke about it.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He goes, even half Pakistani and they sort of joke
- 59:45Speaker 1: about it, but you could tell it's a serious topic. Serious, yeah,
- 59:49Speaker 1: because apparently Indians and Pakistani people don't like each other.
- 59:53Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 59:54Speaker 1: I didn't know that either. But she goes back to
- 59:58Speaker 1: the pods and like tells the girls about and again
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: she's sort of laughing about it, but in her mind
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: she was like, what would my parents do if I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: brought home a guy who's half Pakistani?
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: You know. That's kind of like when Jane's brought me home.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: It did not go over will get.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: So then we see Ashley cabin crew talking about how
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: much she likes Billy, and Billy is talking about her,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: and he goes, here's the thing. I just have reservations
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: about her because she's cabin crew and my head's all
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: messed up about it, and I don't want.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: To hurt her. What you know what hurt her.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: So now Billy and Ashley go to the pods to
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: chat and she's like, oh my god, Billy, she's given
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: like meg energy whoo you know me time yep. And
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: they sit down and she goes, oh, it's crazy because
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I was thinking about you a lot. I was thinking
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: about you last I don't know. And he's kind of
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: quiet and he goes he says, listen, I've loved our dates,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: but I have to be honest with you, and then
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you see the camera grows over to her.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: And she's like, oh yeah.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: And that's the end of episode one and I haven't
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: watched episode two, so I don't know what's gonna happen.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: But hopefully he's not.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Just gonna ditch her, because because she said she'd be
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: willing to do another job. Something happened to him. I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: think his first wife was kabin crew. That's my prediction.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: His first wife was cabin crew, and he's like, I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: can't do it again. Okay, that's my prediction, but I
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: don't know because I didn't want your head. I didn't
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: want your head now.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Anything.
