Kathryn Ruemmler Set to Testify About Her Epstein Ties (7/13/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. So Congress is going to pick back up
• 0:07
with their conversations with Jeffrey Epstein adjacent people this week
• 0:13
by talking with Katherine Rumler. And if you recall, she
• 0:17
was the big shot lawyer from Goldman Sachs that was
• 0:22
very very friendly with Jeffrey Epstein, friendly enough that Jeffrey
• 0:26
Epstein was buying her gifts. And of course Miss Rumler
• 0:31
was involved in Jeffrey Epstein's planning stages, if you will,
• 0:35
when he was in trouble. Now, she'll deny that, but
• 0:38
we saw the emails, so she can deny it all
• 0:41
she wants, but we saw what she was saying to
• 0:44
him in the emails, We saw his responses, and of
• 0:47
course we can come to our own conclusions. But as
• 0:51
far as people that played a key role in Jeffrey
• 0:54
Epstein's day to day business, Katherine Rumler is not it.
• 0:58
But she certainly has a story to tell and I'm
• 1:02
interested to see just how much of it Congress gets
• 1:05
from her. So today we have an article from the
• 1:08
Independent and the headline Congress to grill Goldman Sachs executive
• 1:12
over newly revealed Epstein ties. This article was authored by
• 1:18
Sayid as Horror. Goldman Sachs Senior counsel Catherine Rumler is
• 1:23
scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday as
• 1:26
lawmakers examine her pass relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, renewing scrutiny
• 1:32
of the Wall Street firm's decision to retain her after
• 1:35
documents released by the Justice Department detailed previously undisclosed contacts
• 1:40
with the convicted sex offender. Well, they don't care. I
• 1:44
don't know how many times I have to tell you
• 1:45
about the financial sector and the role they played, But
• 1:48
it was a key role. And if you think for
• 1:51
a second the financial sector it cares that Jeffrey Epstein
• 1:54
was as sick, degenerate, you are sorely mistaken. The only
• 1:58
thing they care about is that they were out vod
• 2:01
as being his buddy, as helping him out, as enabling him.
• 2:05
That's what they're mad about. Rumler stepped down as Goldman
• 2:10
Sachs Chief Legal Officer and general counsel at the end
• 2:12
of June after the documents became public. CEO David Solomon
• 2:17
said at the time that she would remain with the
• 2:19
bank and in an advisory role as senior counsel until
• 2:23
his successor is appointed, a decision that has drawn criticism
• 2:27
from some members of Congress. Yeah, just cut the cord.
• 2:31
You mean to tell me there's nobody else that could
• 2:33
take over and do her job. She's the only lawyer
• 2:36
that can do what she's doing. I have a hard
• 2:38
time believing that, breaking news. None of us, for the
• 2:42
most part, are indispensable. You lose your job today, there's
• 2:48
somebody else taking that job tomorrow, and the company's moving
• 2:51
on and never thinking about you ever again. So you
• 2:54
want me to believe that miss Rumler is some kind
• 2:56
of special attorney and can only do what she does.
• 3:01
I don't buy that for a minute. It's more likely
• 3:04
that mister Solomon and the jerk offs at Goldman Sachs
• 3:08
they just don't care, or they believe that Epstein was
• 3:12
just another tainted member of their disgusting club. Rumler is
• 3:19
expected to appear before the House Committee on Oversight and
• 3:22
Governmental Reform, which is investigating Epstein, his associate Glenn Maxwell,
• 3:27
and the federal government's handling of the cases. The committee
• 3:31
has issued subpoenas an interview request to several people with
• 3:34
ties to Epstein as part of the inquiry, and we're
• 3:38
no closer to the truth. By the way, what exactly
• 3:41
has that committee accomplished? What exactly have they done besides
• 3:46
ron cover for the administration, because they've done that very well.
• 3:51
But besides that, have they gotten us any closer to justice?
• 3:58
Have they gotten us to a place where we can
• 4:00
look and say, all, right, here we are. Congress has
• 4:04
done their jobs, They've made their referrals, They've looked at
• 4:07
every single angle they could possibly look at. But is
• 4:10
that what they did? Of course they didn't. The whole
• 4:14
entire thing has been a gigantic sham from the word go.
• 4:18
Congress must use Miss Ruhmler's testimony to pull back the
• 4:21
curtain on how Jeffrey Epstein built and maintained wealth, power,
• 4:25
and influence while operating one of the most notorious sex
• 4:28
trafficking operations in modern history. Representative Raja Krishna Morthi, an
• 4:34
Illinois Democrat on the committee, said in a statement, you
• 4:37
know not for nothing, But mister Krishno Morthy doesn't know
• 4:41
shit about the case, doesn't know the big players, doesn't
• 4:44
know who was involved in what He's there for a
• 4:47
gotcha moment. And I hate to say it, but the
• 4:50
vast majority of people that are involved in this, that's
• 4:54
what they're here for. They're a gotcha moment. How can
• 4:57
I use this to springboard my career? How can I
• 4:59
use this to go after my enemies. It's not about
• 5:03
the survivors. It's not about the fact that you and
• 5:05
I got screwed completely by the federal government as well.
• 5:08
It's about how can I harness this politically to make
• 5:11
it a weapon. And when everybody's doing that, the people
• 5:14
that are responsible, they're laughing all the way back to
• 5:16
the bank. Chrish no Morti also said documents released as
• 5:21
part of the soul called Epstein Files suggests Rumler's relationship
• 5:25
with Epstein was more extensive than previously understood. Well, we
• 5:29
knew they were really close, and I think the emails,
• 5:33
like with other cases as far as Epstein goes, just
• 5:37
gives us the confirmation that we needed. Okay, yeah, this
• 5:40
documents that they were super close, that they were, you know,
• 5:44
in contact all the time, and it was a little
• 5:46
bit more than getting a little bit of basic legal
• 5:49
advice every now and then. Right, So, yeah, Catherine Rumler
• 5:54
should explain the relationship. What mister Chrishna Morty saying here
• 5:59
that she's going to be able to blow the doors
• 6:01
off of it. Basically, I have my doubts. Justice Department
• 6:06
records show Roumler exchanged numerous communications with Epstein between twenty
• 6:10
fourteen and twenty nineteen, years after he pleaded guilty in
• 6:14
Florida in two thousand and eight to a state charge
• 6:17
of soliciting prostitution from a minor. A minor can't be
• 6:21
a prostitute. Just to reiterate, what he did was abuse
• 6:25
a child. That's what he did. The records also indicate
• 6:30
that she accepted gifts from Epstein and advised them on
• 6:33
how to respond to media inquiries about his criminal cases. Ah,
• 6:37
we're just friends, you know. That's what I do to
• 6:39
my friends. I help them out with their child molestation cases.
• 6:43
I mean, what are friends for? Right? Imagine imagine being
• 6:47
a lawyer, even and one of your friends calls you,
• 6:49
not a client, not some rando, right, trying to hire
• 6:51
you because I understand that everybody needs legal representation. But
• 6:56
imagine your buddy calls you and you're a lawyer, and
• 6:59
he's like, yo, I need some off The book's advice
• 7:01
about these girls that I was diddling. How quick are
• 7:05
you hanging up that phone? I mean the second he
• 7:08
gets the word out of his mouth, I'm hanging up
• 7:11
the phone. And I'm probably gonna slap him if i
• 7:14
ever see him again. Call me with that bullshit. But
• 7:19
miss Rumler, Ah, come on, let me get another bag,
• 7:22
Let me get some more dough. What can you give me, Jeffy.
• 7:26
The documents further showed that Epstein called Rumler's cell phone
• 7:29
on July sixth, twenty nineteen, the day he was arrested
• 7:33
on federal sex trafficking charges, according to law enforcement notes
• 7:37
cited in the records. Rumler's spokesperson has previously said she
• 7:42
had nothing improper and had no knowledge of any ongoing
• 7:46
criminal activity by Epstein while interacting with him as a
• 7:49
practicing criminal defense attorney. The spokesperson also said the July
• 7:54
twenty nineteen phone call was brief and that Rumler took
• 7:57
no action afterward. No, she didn't call it anybody. She
• 8:00
didn't try and lean on anybody or reach out to
• 8:03
her buddies that worked injustice, right, right, man? Of course
• 8:07
she did. Yo. They really think you're dumb. They think
• 8:11
you're stupid as fuck. Goldman. Sachs declined to comment ahead
• 8:16
of the hearing. Rumler did not respond to a request
• 8:19
for comment. In a June letter to Solomon, krishnal Morthy
• 8:24
and Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts criticized Goldman's decision to
• 8:29
keep Brumler at the firm, arguing that it raised questions
• 8:32
about the bank's due diligence and whether they view to
• 8:35
her relationship with Epstein as appropriate. Again, they don't care.
• 8:40
I wish people would pay more attention. Anybody who thinks
• 8:43
that these folks care about you, You're crazy. And when
• 8:47
I say these folks, I mean all of them, ro Conna,
• 8:51
mister krishnal Morthy, Elizabeth Warren, James Comer. None of these
• 8:57
people care, none of them. Representative Rocana of California, a
• 9:03
co sponsor of the Epstein File Transparency Act, said that
• 9:06
he plans to question Rumler about what she knew regarding
• 9:09
people connected to Epstein's crimes. Well, that's going to go somewhere, huh.
• 9:13
I'm sure she's going to be jumping through hoops to
• 9:15
answer those questions. Congressman Epstein, a financier whose circle included
• 9:21
prominent figures in politics, business, Finance, and Academia died in
• 9:27
a New York jail cell in twenty nineteen while awaiting
• 9:30
trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled
• 9:34
a suicide. As part of the investigation, the House Oversight
• 9:38
Committee has also interviewed former President Bill Clinton, Commerce Secretary
• 9:43
Howard Lutnik, and Microsoft co founder Bill Gates, all people
• 9:48
that should have been talked to one hundred percent. The
• 9:52
problem is everybody has the same story, right, everyone's using
• 9:56
the same game plan. Well, I had no idea he
• 9:59
was doctor Jeko O, mister Hyde. I never saw anything.
• 10:02
I had no idea that a guy that was getting
• 10:05
massages three times a day from young looking girls had
• 10:08
any kind of odd proclivities. How dare you even assert that?
• 10:14
I mean, that's the ridiculous place we're at, and those
• 10:17
are the ridiculous excuses that all these people have given us.
• 10:21
So I'm just wondering how long are we going to
• 10:25
accept that. All the information that goes with this episode
