  Words that heal. Words that hurt.

  Words can leave bruises that nobody sees.
• 0:16
  A rumor, A harsh joke, a cutting comment, a careless opinion
• 0:19
  spoken at the wrong time. Sometimes people move on quickly
• 0:23
  from what they said, but the one who heard it carries it much
• 0:26
  longer. That is why Scripture speaks so
• 0:29
  seriously about the tongue. Words are not harmless.
• 0:34
  They can act like a blade or they can become part of
• 0:36
  someone's healing. Proverbs chapter 12, verses 17
• 0:40
  to 18 says whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but
• 0:44
  a false witness utters deceit. There is one whose rash words
• 0:48
  are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings
• 0:51
  healing. That image is unforgettable.
• 0:54
  Some words stab. Some words heal, and every day
• 0:58
  in ordinary conversations we are choosing which kind of person we
• 1:02
  will be. Then Job.
• 1:03
  Chapter 42 shows Job responding to God with humility.
• 1:08
  He says, I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now
• 1:11
  my eye sees you. After all his questions,
• 1:14
  suffering, and confusion, Job comes to a place of deeper
• 1:18
  surrender. He sees that being near God
• 1:21
  changes how he sees himself and everything else that is
• 1:25
  important because healing words do not come from pretending life
• 1:28
  is easy. They come from hearts that have
• 1:31
  been softened by God. When you have walked through
• 1:33
  pain, disappointment, misunderstanding, or loss, you
• 1:37
  have a choice. You can let pain make you sharp,
• 1:40
  bitter, and reckless with your words, or you can let God make
• 1:43
  you gentle, wise, and compassionate.
• 1:47
  In friendships, families, classrooms, group chats, and
• 1:49
  online spaces, there are endless chances to either add to the
• 1:53
  noise or speak life. Truth matters.
• 1:56
  Honesty matters, but truth without grace can still wound.
• 2:00
  God calls us to be people who speak honestly and lovingly,
• 2:04
  people whose words carry both courage and kindness.
• 2:08
  And when life is hard and you do not understand what God is
• 2:11
  doing, Job reminds us that trusting God does not mean you
• 2:14
  have all the answers. It means you keep bringing your
• 2:17
  heart to the one who does. He can restore what is broken in
• 2:21
  you, and He can teach you to become a source of healing for
• 2:24
  others. Let your words reflect the God
• 2:26
  who restores. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for being patient with me and for
• 2:32
  speaking truth and grace into my life.
• 2:35
  Forgive me for the times my words have caused harm.
• 2:39
  Help me to speak with wisdom, honesty and compassion.
• 2:42
  Heal the places in me that have become sharp through pain and
• 2:45
  make me someone whose words bring life and restoration in
• 2:49
  Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important

  Remember the battle, and do so no more.

  Behold, the hope of him is in vain.

  Won't one be cast down even at the sight of him?

  None is so fierce that he dare stir him up.

  his nostrils. A smoke goes as of a boiling pot

  over a fire of reeds. His breath Kindles, coals.

  A flame goes out of his mouth. There is strength in his neck.

  Terror dances before him. The flakes of his flesh are

  joined together. They are firm on him.

  They can't be moved. His heart is as firm as a stone,

  yes, firm as the lower millstone.

  When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid.

  They retreat before his thrashing.

  If one attacks him with the sword, it can't prevail, nor the

  spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.

  He counts iron as straw and bronze as rotten wood.

  The arrow can't make him flee. Sling stones are like chaff to

  him. Clubs are counted as stubble.

  He laughs at the rushing of the javelin.

  His undersides are like sharp potsherds leaving a trail in the

  mud like a thrashing sledge. He makes the deep to boil like a

  pot. He makes the sea like a pot of

  ointment. He makes a path shine after him.

  One would think the deep had white hair on earth.

  There is not His equal that is made without fear.

  He sees everything that is high. He is king over all the sons of
• 8:44
  pride. Then Job answered, Yahweh, I
• 8:47
  know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can
• 8:50
  be restrained. You asked who is this who hides
• 8:53
  counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered that
• 8:56
  which I didn't understand, things too wonderful for me
• 8:59
  which I didn't know. You said.

  Listen now and I will speak. I will question you, and you
• 9:03
  will answer me. I had heard of you by the
• 9:06
  hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

  Therefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.

  It was so that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job,
• 9:16
  Yahweh said to Alyph as the Temenite.

  My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends,
• 9:22
  for you have not spoken of Me, the thing that is right as my
• 9:25
  servant Job has. Now therefore take to yourself 7
• 9:28
  bulls and seven Rams and go to My servant Job and OfferUp for
• 9:32
  yourselves a burnt offering. And My servant Job shall pray
• 9:36
  for you, for I will accept him that I not deal with you
• 9:39
  according to your folly. For you have not spoken of Me,

  the thing that is right as my servant Job has.

  So alephas the temenite and builded the shoe height and
• 9:47
  Zafar the nomothite went and did what Yahweh commanded them, and

  Yahweh accepted Job. Yahweh restored Jobs prosperity.

  When he prayed for his friends, Yahweh gave Job twice as much as
• 9:58
  He had before. Then all his brothers, all his
• 10:01
  sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before
• 10:05
  came to him and ate bread with him in his house.
• 10:08
  They comforted him and consoled him concerning all the evil that
• 10:11
  Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece
• 10:15
  of money and everyone a ring of gold.
• 10:17
  So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than His beginning.
• 10:21
  He had 14,000 sheep, 6000 camels, 1000 yoke of oxen and
• 10:26
  1000 female donkeys. He had also seven sons and three
• 10:29
  daughters. He called the name of the first
• 10:32
  Jemima and the name of the second Keziah and the name of
• 10:35
  the third Karen Hapuch. In all the land where no women
• 10:39
  found so beautiful as the daughters of Job, their father
• 10:42
  gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
• 10:44
  After this, Job lived 140 years and saw his sons and his son's
• 10:49
  sons to 4 generations. So Job died being old and full
• 10:53
