- 0:16Speaker 1: thinking on major major stories. So check them out at
- 0:21Speaker 1: my referral link below the Flip Side helping you have
- 0:25Speaker 1: one leg Up on news. Everyone, It's Alex Garrett, One
- 0:28Speaker 1: Leg Up Alex with the wrapping up of the Super
- 0:30Speaker 1: Bowl coverage and then Olympic fever and USA Hockey starting
- 0:34Speaker 1: off with a win. I have neglected to be talking
- 0:38Speaker 1: about the news.
- 0:39Speaker 3: And the news side of things, but this week Mayor
- 0:43Speaker 3: Mum Donnie met with Mayor Jacob Fry in Minnesota. But
- 0:49Speaker 3: I want to first point out that, Okay, he was
- 0:53Speaker 3: outraged that the Pride flag was coming down in Stonewall
- 0:58Speaker 3: Square or wherever by on Christopher Street, But where is
- 1:02Speaker 3: his outrage for all the swastikas that have been painted
- 1:08Speaker 3: since he got elected? Where's the outrage that Jewish people
- 1:11Speaker 3: are still feeling under threat from you know this election.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I hate to say it that way, but this election
- 1:22Speaker 3: from those that say free Palestine, where is his outrage
- 1:27Speaker 3: for his, as he would say, brothers and sisters that
- 1:32Speaker 3: are Jewish. I wish he took that same energy where
- 1:37Speaker 3: he was pissed off about the Pride flap being taken
- 1:39Speaker 3: down from a landmark monument, which I think the government
- 1:43Speaker 3: can control what's up there, and put it also into
- 1:49Speaker 3: outrage for I don't know, fair beating in New York
- 1:54Speaker 3: frozen deaths in the city. Now, I'm not blaming him
- 1:57Speaker 3: for that, but where is his outrage that, you know,
- 2:03Speaker 3: he was left with the shelter system that's still not trustworthy.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Where where is his outrage that, you know, the city
- 2:12Speaker 3: isn't fully plowed yet. Where's his outrage that the city
- 2:16Speaker 3: has slicked streets still? Because when I saw this week,
- 2:22Speaker 3: I'm outraged that they were taking down the Pride flag
- 2:25Speaker 3: and this is you know, people can be who they want,
- 2:30Speaker 3: but for the mayor of New York to be outraged
- 2:32Speaker 3: about one thing and then not another thing, which is
- 2:35Speaker 3: you know, to me very serious. The lives of New
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yorkers during this winter cold and freeze and the fact
- 2:44Speaker 3: that parts of Brooklyn haven't been plowed out yet, and
- 2:46Speaker 3: the parts of the city haven't been I mean there's
- 2:48Speaker 3: still positive snow everywhere. Now you can't believe, Ma'm donnie
- 2:51Speaker 3: for that, because that's Mother Nature. However, you can't say
- 2:55Speaker 3: where were the cleanup efforts, where were the cleanup effor
- 3:00Speaker 3: it's for all neighborhoods, not just certain neighborhoods. But then
- 3:06Speaker 3: this week you add to it, he meets with Mayor Fry,
- 3:11Speaker 3: a man who, by the way, told the Minneapolis to
- 3:15Speaker 3: the police department pre Saint three to stand down in
- 3:18Speaker 3: twenty twenty as their pre sainct burned down. The standing
- 3:24Speaker 3: down was more of a metaphor of let's let the
- 3:26Speaker 3: rioters do whatever the hell they want, even in the
- 3:29Speaker 3: winter of Love in Minneapolis. This winter. Okay, we can
- 3:33Speaker 3: condemn what happened to Love, to Renee and then to Pretty,
- 3:42Speaker 3: but the behavior of these protesters were not contained at all,
- 3:48Speaker 3: Like there was no real pushback against them, and that
- 3:54Speaker 3: I think is on Mayor Fry, and that is on
- 3:57Speaker 3: Tim Wolves Now as all that's gone going on, Minnesota
- 4:01Speaker 3: fraud was actually discussed in the Senate this week. Did
- 4:04Speaker 3: you know that they had a Senate hearing on that.
- 4:08Speaker 3: So with all the fraud, with all the chaos, with
- 4:10Speaker 3: all the mayhem, was Fry really the ideal guy Mamdonnie
- 4:15Speaker 3: should be meeting to talk about immigration and protecting immigrants
- 4:22Speaker 3: because I think what Mayor Fry probably told Mam Donnie
- 4:27Speaker 3: is so more chaos here. Why not we did in Minneapolis.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I'm kidding. I don't think that's how it went, but
- 4:35Speaker 3: that's the vibe I get is do we really want
- 4:38Speaker 3: to learn from a mayor that's failed to protect his
- 4:41Speaker 3: own city influencing our mayor? Do we want that kind
- 4:48Speaker 3: of outside influence where they're they weren't protecting anybody, officers, protesters,
- 4:58Speaker 3: just nothing was really protected protected. Is that what we
- 5:03Speaker 3: want here? As we see threats of more protests in
- 5:06Speaker 3: the city over this, I just think for a guy
- 5:11Speaker 3: that's told the police department to stand down, for a
- 5:15Speaker 3: guy that's pretty much known and I'm pretty sure allowed
- 5:18Speaker 3: the fraud to go on in Minneapolis alongside Governor Walls,
- 5:22Speaker 3: he's not the ideal mayor we should be learning from.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Neither is that Gavin Newsom. I'll also say neither is DeSantis.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I don't think any of those guys are our people
- 5:34Speaker 3: we can truly lean on for advice how to deal
- 5:37Speaker 3: with this. You want advice, you go to a predecessor.
- 5:45Speaker 3: You want advice, you go to a man that, yes,
- 5:48Speaker 3: he's been disbarred and things have been really tragic since
- 5:51Speaker 3: the Trump presidency for Rudy Giuliani, but that guy still
- 5:56Speaker 3: knows the city. He still talks about this city, He
- 6:01Speaker 3: still loves the city. He actually criticized Mum Donnie for
- 6:08Speaker 3: the reality, for the garbage piles and the snow piles
- 6:13Speaker 3: and everything like that. So Mayor Mum Donnie, you want
- 6:17Speaker 3: to you want to focus on how to protect our
- 6:19Speaker 3: city and even immigrants and and and how they can
- 6:22Speaker 3: work with law enforcement, then bring back or invite at
- 6:27Speaker 3: least Ray Kelly and Mayor Giuliani and unfortunately burn our
- 6:37Speaker 3: character pass, but he would have been a great person
- 6:39Speaker 3: to bring back for you know, advice on this. There
- 6:47Speaker 3: is no doubt we still have an immigration problem where
- 6:50Speaker 3: we don't know who's legal and illegal here. But to
- 6:54Speaker 3: reach out to someone that's basically allowed chaos in his
- 6:57Speaker 3: city is not the right answer, Man Donnie. To allow
- 7:02Speaker 3: a mayor to influence you that's watched a pre saint
- 7:04Speaker 3: burn down and tell them, hey, uh, you know, stand down.
- 7:12Speaker 3: We better not get those reports here that Mayor m
- 7:15Speaker 3: Donnie's telling NYPDA officers to stand down from their pre saints.
- 7:19Speaker 3: God forbid they ever get under fire like that. He's
- 7:25Speaker 3: just not the role model that I think mum Donnie,
- 7:27Speaker 3: who in his second month now as mayor. Uh it's
- 7:36Speaker 3: still got to trying to get his feet wet. But
- 7:39Speaker 3: this reaching out to Minneapolis, of all the people, Minneapolis
- 7:44Speaker 3: Mayor Fry one of the worst mayors. It's just not
- 7:51Speaker 3: a good look. It's just not a good look for
- 7:57Speaker 3: Mayor mum Donnie to do that, because Minneapolis is chaos.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Why are we inviting chaos to New York like that?
- 8:07Speaker 3: You got to look from within, from though, those who
- 8:10Speaker 3: have been on the streets of New York, those that
- 8:13Speaker 3: have patrolled New York, those that have protected and served
- 8:19Speaker 3: New York, and maybe even talk to immigrants who legalize
- 8:24Speaker 3: here and naturalize here because they love America so much.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Get their input, not some mealy mouthed, arrogant mayor who's
- 8:39Speaker 3: let his city become fried. Not with the weed way.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I just mean, it's a fried city at this point,
- 8:45Speaker 3: with all the crap that they've dealt with for six years.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Almost He's not your go to. He should not be
- 8:54Speaker 3: your go to. Marimum, Donnie, look within at the rich
- 9:01Speaker 3: experience and expertise that the city offers. Bring back Ray
- 9:06Speaker 3: Kelly to City Hall if you have questions, Bring back
- 9:09Speaker 3: Mayor Giuliani. Screw what the left says about Giuliani. Mayor
- 9:13Speaker 3: to Mayor Mono Imano, you don't need to go to
- 9:19Speaker 3: a mayor that's so own chaos. We don't want that
- 9:22Speaker 3: chaos here in New York, at least I don't think
- 9:23Speaker 3: we do, nor should we. You have to have one.
- 9:30Speaker 3: If you want to have one leg up for New York,
- 9:31Speaker 3: you gotta look within, not at a mayor whose whole
- 9:38Speaker 3: being is chaos and causing chaos in our in their city.
- 9:51Speaker 3: We don't want that here. We can handle protests somehow,
- 9:57Speaker 3: we survive what happened in twenty twenty. But Mayor mum
- 10:01Speaker 3: Donald looked at the TV saw what was going on
- 10:03Speaker 3: in Minneapolis and really said, I want this guy here
- 10:07Speaker 3: to talk to me, not in my backyard and not
- 10:15Speaker 3: in the city's backyard. And I hope that's the only
- 10:19Speaker 3: meeting he has with Mayor Fry And this.
