- 0:43The Doctor Who commentary podcast.
- 0:48Hello, hello? You're looking a bit Sinister
- 0:51right now. Why a certain look in your eye.
- 0:55Is my face going to fall off. It stopped coming towards me
- 0:58like this. Get back, Mark.
- 1:04You know, I knew the real Mark wasn't wearing the scarf.
- 1:09Little, little little little bit.
- 1:11What if you don't pick Mark? I better.
- 1:12Stop the right. Yeah.
- 1:13So get it. And so yeah, we get the joke.
- 1:17Yeah. Excuse me.
- 1:17That's normally you want to watch you doing that thing.
- 1:20I know that's how he won. Rolling her eyes at use that.
- 1:22Are you rolling your eyes at me? I'm exchange.
- 1:24You know, it feels light and Chuck.
- 1:26She gave her a listen to this. Well, it's been a little while
- 1:31since we recorded Android Invasion episodes 12 hasn't it?
- 1:34Yeah, it has. Yes.
- 1:36In real time, yes, we'll try and smooth over the gap.
- 1:39Yes, none will know any difference.
- 1:41That's right we just for some extra little bit of episode 2
- 1:43and fuck me. You got be indulgent listen to
- 1:45this shit. I'll tell ya.
- 1:48So if you would indulge me if you could, please enlighten, the
- 1:54viewers or listeners even of exactly what has occurred in the
- 1:59Android evasion to date, well, previously on Doctor, Who The
- 2:04Doctor and Sarah found this. Well, landed in this strange
- 2:08Village. Well, not strange.
- 2:12It's very seems you'll be well, it seems normal at first and
- 2:15then everyone in the pub was actually being funny with this
- 2:18unit guy that fell off the cliff and was back in the pub.
- 2:23Anyway, it's an Android Invasion, it's an Android
- 2:28Village and the crawls. A duplicate Village duplicate
- 2:32Village of Androids, and the coral, and the doctor has just
- 2:34confronted Sarah. And I feel like you're just
- 2:37saying random plot B. Yeah.
- 2:40Any kind of territorial? We all know what's happening.
- 2:43There's literally no point. You're just going, it's an
- 2:47Android version. It's an Android Village and the
- 2:51crawl. But I sounded like that's
- 2:53exactly how Terry Nation pitched it.
- 2:55Yeah there's an Android version dr.
- 2:59Sara lad and there's an invasion of of Androids and it's a white
- 3:03featureless Corridor, and the curls are alien monsters, your
- 3:08design. And come up with the actual
- 3:10concept for me. Robert, I was sitting there with
- 3:14his pipe, looking it in very strange.
- 3:15Again, I'll just write it down. All right?
- 3:18I'll turn it into a four-part doctor who story some very good
- 3:20Cliffhangers. I think I do like Terry Nation,
- 3:23though. He's my favorite writer, what
- 3:25couldn't we just unpack? This a little bit before we go
- 3:27in. Is it that what the general
- 3:29pretentiousness of his writing or the adventurousness of his
- 3:34writing? It's your Classic.
- 3:36Fun. Action adventure plot.
- 3:39Isn't it? So can I you don't have to
- 3:40overthink Terry Nations very much.
- 3:43Do you? And you know where you are with?
- 3:45You don't think at all. Usually when you're watching
- 3:47Terran, a plan other dialects. Yeah, exactly is Comfort talk
- 3:50to, who isn't it? He does so well.
- 3:52And I do you like, I don't think and I know I always say this
- 3:55about everything. I just don't think you put it
- 3:58didn't exactly put tons of effort in any way.
- 4:01I don't think, you know, because he uses the same plot points
- 4:05again and again, but that's fine.
- 4:06That's fun. He's got other things to do.
- 4:08He's busy Trying to launch the Daleks in America hasn't got
- 4:11time to keep writing. Inventive, creative scripts all
- 4:15the time. I think Carrie Nation is Jay
- 4:18Garrick, Terry Nation. Harry they Sherry Nation
- 4:23relations. I am Terry Nation, right?
- 4:29It's generally as good as his script editor, so I think back
- 4:33in the Daleks and Dalek invasion of Earth, just lovely.
- 4:39Carrie Nation. Now, in Carrie Nation to nation
- 4:45of the shops, the other day. Sorry, Carry On.
- 4:51You may be very serious points towards this point, this point.
- 4:55Yeah. So the think.
- 4:56Yeah. So you got David Whittaker
- 4:58during the first two, the first time.
- 5:04And I think it's like there are a lot of character moments in
- 5:07the Daleks and That like the Dalek invasion of Earth, David
- 5:15Whittaker, and Betty Whitaker. All right, Kari, witzger well
- 5:24right, when determination come next.
- 5:26Oh yeah, then you got Chuck that you have to start this thing
- 5:31again. No, keep going.
- 5:32I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But John Wall's coming into Alex
- 5:34master plan and suddenly, it's very serious and people are
- 5:37dying all over the place. Yeah, and then what was off.
- 5:42For that. What you have for?
- 5:43Then we have a big gap, don't win.
- 5:44It's we don't go back to Planet adults to that, it's Terrance
- 5:47dicks and is all sort of fun Pacey Adventure.
- 5:51Then you got Robert, Holmes doing Genesis of the Daleks and
- 5:53that is much more serious moral debate.
- 5:56Some things like this, you know that before from Terry nation
- 6:00and now you've got Android Invasion.
- 6:02Exactly. Yeah.
- 6:03I do take your point, you know, it does depend too because
- 6:06because he's not really putting in the those extra bits and
- 6:09pieces for each. For example, I can't remember.
- 6:12Mentioned this will not last time, this whole face Sarah's
- 6:15face, coming off was Philip Hinchcliffe interests.
- 6:18It was Philip hinge Clips idea. We were drinking all this time
- 6:33because it was his idea because I would love to know what Terry
- 6:37Nation did. The end of it is, I think it was
- 6:40just old Sarah. You're A duplicate and then
- 6:43there was a shock but then Philip Hinchcliffe was all about
- 6:46the Cliffhangers, wasn't me, either.
- 6:47He added in. Oh, something more dramatic
- 6:49needs to have what would it have been before?
- 6:51Well, I think he would just have confronted, Sarah and said, the
- 6:54gun really real. And she had a gun, get back up
- 6:56there and that's it. Yeah.
- 6:58But it's those extra bits actually.
- 7:00A lot of those extra bits are probably the more memorable B
- 7:03than actually what Terry nation was doing.
- 7:05Well, there's a very famous story about Terry Nation turning
- 7:11up at John Wall. His house.
- 7:13No Donald Tasha's house with a very thought of five Bits of
- 7:17Paper and he's like, oh yeah, I think pecten56 scripts of the
- 7:21Daleks master plan and it's and it's the issue written on the
- 7:24back of the packet. He jumps in his car and goes,
- 7:26I'm off to a lot of off to America tomorrow.
- 7:29I mean, that's when I'll talk about her Nation.
- 7:30That's what I, that's the idea of him in my head.
- 7:32I mean, I don't actually know but that's the concept I have is
- 7:35that he's just, I'll just write this out in whatever he writes
- 7:38is brilliant and it's great TV but he doesn't, maybe put That
- 7:43in integrating skill to have. You're right though he does
- 7:46right in Broad Strokes. Did he do that in his other
- 7:49shows as well? Do you think?
- 7:50Did he do like Adventure Avengers and stated lies?
- 7:53Yeah, I don't wonder if you took the same thing, Temple, the say,
- 7:56yeah, and all that stuff. Not only watched his other
- 7:58stuff. So I bet it's pretty similar, I
- 8:00think, because apparently he's like, working on film as well.
- 8:03So the things and up for back of his mind, are like, strong
- 8:07potent imagery. Like I don't know the village,
- 8:10the Faith Village. Um, strong ideas like survivors
- 8:16the plague wiping out the world, Blake's 7, the Federation on the
- 8:19bad guys, things like that. He works with a good strong
- 8:21concept and lots of action on film.
- 8:25I think that's where his brain is.
- 8:27And then the script area is fill in all the rest.
- 8:30Yeah, I think. So, depending on what series,
- 8:32and those little intricacies of the other Series?
- 8:35Yeah, she knows the modern-day termination.
- 8:36Don't ya. Who was Nicholas Briggs?
- 8:39Isn't it? Oh, don't start.
- 8:41What? Like big finish.
- 8:43Yeah. What do you thinks of it it with
- 8:44an action head and you know, you can't even relate or well, as we
- 8:49go in, let's talk about the Kroll's appearance in big
- 8:51finish. I think you've termination was
- 8:53Ryan audios. Now, we've been a lot of
- 8:55trouble. I'm telling you, I don't know
- 8:57about that characterization dialogue and I think
- 9:01characterization and dialogue are Tara nation's greatest
- 9:04strengths. Well, she was going to have so
- 9:06free. Let's go.
- 9:07Everyone, I'm going to count us all in when I find the right.
- 9:09That's right. Okay.
- 9:12Here we go. Android Invasion by Terry Nation
- 9:15to Nation. Carrie Nation Terry's arm.
- 9:19Yeah 3, here we go. Well yeah so the crowds did turn
- 9:24up, didn't they? Big finish in the side and
- 9:27eventually to an eventual? Your thoughts on that, which is
- 9:30a fourth doctor and Lila story Allen Barnes script and it
- 9:33weren't any good. It was in the same season where
- 9:36Terry Nation, no, no. Termination of have any facts
- 9:40straight now. Where Nicholas Briggs wrote
- 9:43destination. Nerva I'm all done.
- 9:45I'm sorry. But what did it do anything
- 9:49different with the Kroll's? Remember you ever anything about
- 9:53it? Well, no, I couldn't remember so
- 9:54Source. However, I've okay.
- 9:56So now involves screw, you got a chair.
- 10:00I think I'm memorable, is how you basically describe another
- 10:03script of this, right? The reprise, his face is just
- 10:07come off again. You know, the bit where she sits
- 10:10up and the faces a bit wobbly? It's Right.
- 10:12I think the eyes make these Androids.
- 10:15Yeah, the eyeball because it could have been more of a robot
- 10:19type, I but the sort of more human-like eyes, amongst all the
- 10:22circuitry I do that makes just a stronger in this doesn't Michael
- 10:26her sitting out there. I know it's another dodgy but
- 10:28no, I think that's even better because it's some dodgy really
- 10:32dodgy mannequin with a gun. I think that's even what that's
- 10:35a little bit scary, but very let's cut away the North Conway
- 10:38coughing because all you know is, you know, So in critical
- 10:48critical Barry let's now no. Nothing that would bring us give
- 10:52it to relation of Barry Letts. I mean this is literally your
- 10:54dream come true. This is it is that's why it's
- 10:56one of my favorite. I see.
- 10:59Oh no. So now this is where we've got
- 11:01loads of sequences of the crawls.
- 11:04Crawls are there. I think when you see three, do
- 11:07we other supposed to be more and they trying to do this clever
- 11:09thing where there's more. There's only because It's the
- 11:12two that have names is there shiitake and sticker online
- 11:17sticker on. And then number three.
- 11:19Yeah. I've been to the third one.
- 11:22Yeah. That's just my, so we don't see
- 11:23him again. There's any for the purpose of
- 11:24this. Maybe they'll even Beyond didn't
- 11:26like him. Wanda who played the third,
- 11:28where you go out of that, guy's that quarry.
- 11:30Now, it's not a village in Morgan.
- 11:31Stand out there, we won't leave in a spaceship we promised and
- 11:35off, they go. But this is where it all gets a
- 11:38bit less on film, and More in studio.
- 11:42Do you crawls heart 3 syndrome? Well, there is some good stuff
- 11:45in part for, you know, I think all the stuff when they go back
- 11:48out to the Village again, they tie the doctor up to the
- 11:50Obelisk. That's all really good stuff.
- 11:54Oh, yeah, we do have them bits of Village, don't we?
- 11:57What can you tell me that just wondering about the mini-quiche.
- 12:01There's a man with a hat wondering about and then there's
- 12:03the one now. We invite people.
- 12:05We know this is all the audience now knows what's going on like
- 12:09it more now. So now you think is something as
- 12:11a different feel? Now we know it's a duplicate
- 12:14Village, I think so now they can be a bit, even more obvious with
- 12:17things, can't they okay? You know, and the doctrine
- 12:21because the doctor knows is in day, he's not walking up to me.
- 12:24Hello there. Good afternoon.
- 12:25He's like I'll I'll crush your voice.
- 12:27Yeah, well I mean they brought all these Villages along in this
- 12:32van right. Put them in the pub.
- 12:34Yeah and now they're taking them all off again.
- 12:36Well, beyond the fact that we needed a fantastic set piece for
- 12:40the Android Invasion Doctor. Who story?
- 12:42Why did they do that? So they brought the morning.
- 12:45They made all these villagers, brought them all in and went go
- 12:48in the pub because they wanted to test them out to make sure
- 12:51that they behaved and they were working properly, and now
- 12:53they've done that. Test.
- 12:55They're loading them up. And they're off to go to be
- 12:57putting their pods ready for actual real Earth.
- 13:01They've been tested at. It's a test center, isn't it?
- 13:03Okay, I'm just finding flaws. So, I what they're going to put
- 13:07all of the Androids inside. Those sort of salt on upholds, a
- 13:11van full of people sense of what and then, and then the white man
- 13:15take over what everybody with the poison Invasion of the Body
- 13:18Snatchers. It's the poison all about then.
- 13:22Oh, oh sorry. Yes, so all the Angels Take He's
- 13:24poison goes out real people, die Androids their takeover.
- 13:28Yeah, so they'll kill them. Have you seen the film the
- 13:33actual, obviously, what? This is based on what his
- 13:35motivation, the Body Snatchers, a teach it in the 70s when we
- 13:38Donald Sutherland to the ending. We're in one of my favorite from
- 13:41would Leonard Nimoy. Yeah, it's fantastic film.
- 13:44But this is the ending everyone else and it where she's going
- 13:47she's going. That was terrifying.
- 13:52That was one of my favorite films of the child.
- 13:54I'm very sorry to interrupt you, but I'm going to have to point
- 13:56out. Tom Baker is currently walking
- 13:58around the village, right? And stick Rod is about to come
- 14:00up behind him. Yeah, it's okay.
- 14:02Try to film this scene where Mark in each tag board and to
- 14:06get you to understand my Direction.
- 14:09All right, Mark, I'm gonna come up behind.
- 14:11You, don't be scared. Oh, it was embarrassing because
- 14:18I've sweat over Village. As you're peeking through their
- 14:20care. And so I'm all those people
- 14:21doing in the street. Why is that bad coming up right
- 14:26away? You brought some IV to tie me up
- 14:28to that obvious. Where did you get that from some
- 14:31you bought fake Ivy? Yeah, you can get it in like
- 14:35done a Miller wherever dialogue. I see I quite like house to God
- 14:45looks on location. It much better, isn't it?
- 14:48And if you know is he sort of playing a bit Hunchback of
- 14:50Notre, Dame me, but do you think this they did all this.
- 14:53They would have done this filming first before.
- 14:54Yeah this is actual first performance so he's really going
- 14:58for it and then by the time they get to the studio, it's
- 15:00something doesn't really come across.
- 15:02He's totally these girls were all on film Martin.
- 15:04What's his face? We placed in release on the
- 15:06commentary and he's cute as hell.
- 15:09And he was kind of just a know how to play this thing.
- 15:11This Ron austar, a scientist, he goes.
- 15:14So I thought I'd just go full on Hunchback of Notre Dame.
- 15:17Well, they've actually given him a hunchback in the costume and
- 15:19from there he is but he is Igor in it a bit though, as well,
- 15:23just the walk into Eagle, know y'all go Eagles from Count
- 15:27Dracula and I think well I guess I know who you mean.
- 15:35Now, this is the iconic. This isn't it?
- 15:37Him on top. Tied up to the Obelisk and her
- 15:39and the artwork for the VHS release of this is great.
- 15:44Listen I think I thought his covers from amazing.
- 15:47Yeah. Well they try.
- 15:48You can keep that one. You know.
- 15:50I have. I've got it.
- 15:51You got that one? Yeah, of course.
- 15:54Okay. What all of you say?
- 15:55This shit is when I was tied up to you.
- 15:58You tied me up quite aggressively to that.
- 16:01Obelisk. Honest are so turned on.
- 16:03I can tell so we're in public as well.
- 16:08You know, officially that's talking.
- 16:09Oh sorry, okay, I'm gonna stop talking.
- 16:13What am I talking about? I love this slow motion, Barry.
- 16:36Let's don't go with the slow motion too often.
- 16:37Does he? And you've got Sarah, Jane and
- 16:40the doctor doing very exaggerated movements to make
- 16:42that slow motion. Look incredible.
- 16:45I think this is a nice affection.
- 16:46I would the village. It's clever.
- 16:47I mean officer. I think this is a bit bright for
- 16:50it, but I mean, imagine if I'd landed it landed here on this
- 16:54Sandy juice. And I've made it onto the I'm
- 17:02sort of the Crowell ship ship. We never see the ship though.
- 17:04Do we know Terror of the zygons gave us the zygons ship but
- 17:09Android invasion is doesn't just see a hole in the bush and then
- 17:11suddenly that's a ship. Hold on.
- 17:13The bush. Did you say?
- 17:14I think we don't hold in the bush disgusting.
- 17:19Okay, so now why they suddenly just decided to go now.
- 17:26It's what I think they were one. They were ready and to they knew
- 17:29the doctor was sort of in starting to interfere a bit so
- 17:32we take the supplement. Yeah but you know what, one of
- 17:40my big complaints about fourth of Doomsday was yeah, that it
- 17:44was set for to Doomsday whereas you know, like all the drama is
- 17:48that doomsday is when they get to the Earth and try and take
- 17:51over. Well, Android Invasion gives us
- 17:53the 42 B, all their pre-planning, which is what
- 17:57we've seen for the first two episodes and now it even shows
- 18:00us The Invasion as well. Yeah, for to do so it works like
- 18:03400 Dawn's, isn't it Terrence Dudley, you see, did not know
- 18:06how to get to the point Terry Nation.
- 18:09He just wants and his wife Carrie.
- 18:11Yeah. Did know how to get to the
- 18:13point. No.
- 18:15Oh my point is, this is termination knew where the drama
- 18:17was that, you know? Yeah.
- 18:21Watching what if we did measure what?
- 18:23We just watched the crawls. Doing that plant doing there you
- 18:26know, rehearsal and the doctor could have defeated the
- 18:30rehearsal, that's how so. And it's all we prevented The
- 18:32Invasion before it's begun, but it would do get a little bit of
- 18:35it going. Yeah, I don't know if you
- 18:37remember, but we get to go to this fabulous space control, set
- 18:41in episode 4. We're not there yet.
- 18:44No, no saved. A bit of money for a massive set
- 18:46for episode 4. That's very unusual.
- 18:50I like these his prison cell seeing and the because it is, it
- 18:54does Feel it, very enclosed and he got a lower ceiling there.
- 18:59I think it's very convincing but not only that you're lighting as
- 19:02well as getting the Fourth Doctor and Sarah working
- 19:04together to defeat the Android and they use they use the
- 19:07electricity and the water. I thought I was very clever when
- 19:09I first watched that but it is a big vicious but what they do is
- 19:14Daleks first dr. Susan.
- 19:16Here's trapped in the things and Terry Nation would be fucked if
- 19:28people that took prisoners, didn't give them food and drink.
- 19:32I thought none of his pots with good then we're out of here.
- 19:41Exactly the moment. Someone's it says he's
- 19:44Refreshments you like there we go.
- 19:45Terry. Yeah you're right.
- 19:50The Daleks Daleks invasion of Earth.
- 19:53Yeah like God every time till I've always give, you know, some
- 19:59drinks going to do a montage of all the time is, when pets
- 20:03appear. Mmm.
- 20:04That's all right. Animals.
- 20:04Period doctor. Yeah, yeah, well maybe we should
- 20:08do a montage of all the times food.
- 20:09And drinks used, does a guy craford a bit like an auton
- 20:12there. He's got his boiler suit and his
- 20:13scarf or it could be a an auton couny to be fair.
- 20:20I don't think he's very strong. All those are the guards are.
- 20:24They could have just Overpowered him there.
- 20:25Yeah but you got Max Faulkner standing behind are looking a
- 20:28bit menacing with his gun. He's a stuntman.
- 20:30You don't want to mess with him. Is it my fault that we deserve
- 20:33it? I think we did.
- 20:34Yeah, he's in Mantra pillowed on said that before.
- 20:37I'm sure. So this is where the doctor
- 20:40basically says. To guy craford, you're a stooge
- 20:42and you've been used by them craford your a fall.
- 20:46And by the way, look under your eye patch, I want to he came up
- 20:53with that eye patch concept. When you've met my been a rubber
- 20:57home staying or a, we need something, so we can, I don't
- 21:01know. Does it feel to you?
- 21:03Like it's added in later, the script might have been changed.
- 21:07Those like this, add this in, after all I know is if Terry
- 21:09nation that took off across the sites, obsessed with herination,
- 21:13Terrance dicks was script editing this, he would have
- 21:16covered this with a lie and he would have explained it a lot
- 21:19better. Why do you think it was?
- 21:20Because Robert Holmes was great. As I said, I think this rubber
- 21:24hose could let the details slip sometimes in favor of the
- 21:27moment, the set piece. You know, there's only colorful
- 21:31characters. Yeah, every now and again he
- 21:33would let I think knitting up a plot or someone else's plot was
- 21:38necessarily a strength and overall, I think he's a genius.
- 21:43If you feel ruined the thief, a guy craford and it is Milton
- 21:45John's his performance. I would have loved to see some
- 21:49archive footage when Sarah Jane what did she say?
- 21:52She interviewed him before he went off to space.
- 21:54Oh well, imagine that they should have put that on.
- 21:57You've got five minutes ago. I paid for this is Sarah Joe,
- 21:59from which followed to make us leave.
- 22:01This is Sarah. Jane Smith space.
- 22:03Yeah. How's it feel a little flashback
- 22:08and training for months and months and they could have done
- 22:11Sarah with her old. Eleven.
- 22:12Hell yeah she would have just met trousers.
- 22:14Yeah, with a camera they would do it now would be great,
- 22:18wouldn't it? He said there that he was in
- 22:21such a state when they found him in the capsule that they had to
- 22:25reconstruct his entire body and face.
- 22:29So he's nearly all plastic. Yeah.
- 22:31All the dogs such as say they're, you've been
- 22:32brainwashed. So maybe that explains why he
- 22:35doesn't like under the eye patch.
- 22:36It just believe them. Yeah, I think so.
- 22:40I think the eye patch is there just as like a distinctive
- 22:44visual, that's the point of it. It's certainly not there for the
- 22:48twist. You know always faced with the
- 22:50Twist by smokers. Go.
- 22:51Oh no, you know? What do you see without it?
- 22:56He doesn't get a moment. Like like he realizes just how
- 23:00evil they are because they lie to him about his eye.
- 23:03So that's the point where he showed us and yeah, so it's not
- 23:06like you could have had him without the eyepatch, like a
- 23:08scar or something. It wouldn't be as a, my kids fit
- 23:11as a visual thing. And I'll show all I can say now,
- 23:16is that Bloody Italian from happy families.
- 23:19Okay. Tim, you know, oh, yeah, well,
- 23:21you need to watch mr. Group approach is great, can I
- 23:24talk about the law of diminishing returns?
- 23:26The previous Cliffhanger, was that wonderful one with the
- 23:31fake? Sarah, remember what the next
- 23:32one is? It's crashing excited.
- 23:38Hugged her face. Come on, J.
- 23:41For Saxon. Tom Baker looks very thoughtful
- 23:45there, but well, because the whole of e now, he knows the
- 23:50seriousness of the situation he's playing that.
- 23:52Here we go food and drink in a lovely.
- 23:55That's a nice role. They've got.
- 23:56There is a lovely row. I'm not sure about this Crockery
- 24:01of the quarrels, but it's what he clearly is a crystalline.
- 24:04Yeah, very So we'll cross do nowadays.
- 24:16Well, thank you so much. My bugs aren't my in town.
- 24:21Look, I'm sorry for my sake special crawl, decide.
- 24:23Oh, I see they're putting the poison in the water in the cell.
- 24:27Okay. So there's a reason for this
- 24:28food and drink to go into the cell.
- 24:30Then it's not just a small, so what they're trying to see if
- 24:36it's effective on them. I think just, you know, what
- 24:38they want, they want to know before they land, but it is
- 24:41gonna murder, it's an Airborne virus.
- 24:43Right. Or in the water he gets his
- 24:47face. Riot in episode 4 turns into
- 24:49her. I think it must be in the water
- 24:52because if it's everyone that cell door has loads of holes
- 24:56underneath that it's just going to be out into the atmosphere.
- 24:58So it must be when they drink. It miserable meal that and it
- 25:01just a brown roll. I love bread and water.
- 25:04Yeah. If I was trapped in a Terry
- 25:05Nation, I'll be like thanks for the brain War.
- 25:07I mean, I would use it to escape obviously because everyone does,
- 25:09but I have a bit of a snack. First, let's play sorry about
- 25:14the meals to get sir. Around there is this what you do
- 25:17can always escape from places from now on, we know exactly
- 25:20what to do or just get bread and water.
- 25:22Well, you've got the electricity thing, you can throw my make a
- 25:25bit of mud out of someone's shoe from in their eyes.
- 25:28What else can you do hours to use?
- 25:34If you need to get out and go do what you got to do?
- 25:36Have you noticed that it's a big crack in the floor that cell
- 25:39with like coming up. What's that all about?
- 25:42Obviously, that's where the yeah I was.
- 25:43That's what? She's getting that.
- 25:45Yeah, but you know what? But what's great about this
- 25:49thing is, it's Harry. They do it too, isn't it?
- 25:52No, it's not. It's Max Faulkner.
- 25:54Oh, is it? Yeah.
- 25:56It's still strange though to see the docks for inflicting
- 25:59violence on somebody. He doesn't inflate violence,
- 26:02does he was it Sarah? That does it error?
- 26:04I think does it? I think is quite nice here as
- 26:11well with anything. Yeah, so that idea of do you
- 26:15did, okay? Sorry, this is where the doctor
- 26:21is going to be tortured Now, isn't he why tied up his knee?
- 26:24And they do the route on him, the Sarah rescue him.
- 26:27She doesn't share because he's out of it and he says about.
- 26:30So she'll excuse Android and resting his agency.
- 26:34Jesus Christ that took four men. To wrestle him that I've been in
- 26:38that situation a few times, you know?
- 26:40Oh, and Sarah's getting it jives.
- 26:42I'd be scared of opening. This electricity thing all that,
- 26:46you know, that, yeah, krong it looks like one of the guns from
- 26:51blank 70. Or know it's a bit later, isn't
- 27:01it? Thanks Evan.
- 27:03This is Sony 6 Blake's 7. Did four years up to 1980.
- 27:09So I don't think it's David Maloney went from Talons Wang
- 27:12Chong, Yang and Scott like Syria.
- 27:14So it's probably about the same time.
- 27:15It's been developed. Maybe saw that Muslim will use
- 27:18that as a gun like that prom. You'll forgive me.
- 27:20I'll do an intro. Welcome back to, they were mine
- 27:24ginkga, the black X7 commentary for coerced who's that?
- 27:28So Vlad. Okay, remember in Children of
- 27:31our own, I don't remember no no she creates all these lips
- 27:35fertilize babies. Oh yeah, he wants to create
- 27:38progeny and then he blows up all the babies and she goes they
- 27:44were our mind getting car. I felt dumb died.
- 27:48She murders him horribly honestly.
- 27:51Jacqueline, peace is good. She should appear in Doctor Who,
- 27:53you know? Mmm, Yeah.
- 27:55She God, forgives Colin Baker. Bless him, he got nothing, he
- 28:01can do inside that mask, as he like in a dialogue scene, he's
- 28:05really struggling. What do you think it's worth
- 28:08having to act in front of it? Tom Baker, looking at it or
- 28:12being in the costume. You'd have to react to that.
- 28:16Look at that costume. That looks like an enormous turd
- 28:18being inside. It just is that, that Rhino e b
- 28:23knows bit before. What is when they are Ryan?
- 28:25When they're in profile, you really see the horn.
- 28:28But when you are looking at the from it just looks like a.
- 28:31I don't to keep saying it, but sealer in and in Terror of the
- 28:37zygons, he gets out. Wonderful, lion, doesn't it?
- 28:38Go about the big, big, big big of a planet for just a few Oh of
- 28:45you you got to come out and wave a tentacle every now.
- 28:47And again whereas here the dialogue is not quite as strong.
- 28:51She goes Sarah Android. Killer Croc.
- 28:54Here we go. She's watched the Daleks.
- 28:56Jeez, what's many other termination programs before?
- 28:59She knows you spilled water all over the floor is absolutely
- 29:05part. I think the doctor gave it some
- 29:07the suo matches. Yeah.
- 29:08I was gonna say I'll digital to give her a liar.
- 29:11No matches. I didn't know.
- 29:12Sarah was a smoker. I mean, you wouldn't get that
- 29:16much money. That is dry ice fishing, you can
- 29:18get them as you are. No.
- 29:23She's but a scarf, didn't she know?
- 29:25Whatever's got, no. He hit her knee.
- 29:27He took it off her. Wait for it.
- 29:28Wait for it. Look at this.
- 29:33Okay, Paul, Max Faulkner's chest is exploding all over the place
- 29:42up to you. You read an explosion on your
- 29:45chest. I was good at was a good effect,
- 29:51I'm not sure I'd want flame is, you know, that going off all
- 29:53over my my he's expert stuntman and they're not doing that to in
- 29:57Marta. Was he the same fellow that
- 29:59jumped off the cliff at the beginning?
- 30:00He's doing a lot in this, is they're getting their money's
- 30:02worth. Look at this lovely adulation.
- 30:04They do this. Well, I think you're fat, isn't
- 30:07it? It's like a sort of contrasty
- 30:09sort of light that they put on a change, the contrast.
- 30:12Yeah, I think the problem with this Corolla spaceship is it is
- 30:16also Quran the Quran with Terry spaceship is so you're so the
- 30:23carries. Yeah that grey and they want.
- 30:28Is it a good idea to make everything else silvery gray as
- 30:31well? They don't really stand out, it
- 30:32just Blends in. So Mars is a good question.
- 30:34Do you, do you find that affect like, your uncle's icons?
- 30:37Where they're all red? And then all their spaceship is
- 30:39River. Reds, Reds are vivid color,
- 30:41then, isn't it? Yes.
- 30:42So, I've got a question for you, then does the color palette of a
- 30:46story affect your enjoyment of it, if it's all falling.
- 30:48So if it's all 70s, you know, they graze and sorry, two things
- 30:53around, William 0, the cheap grain is really, really, really,
- 30:59really, really Asia, and cheap and gray.
- 31:05And then, yeah, that does affect it.
- 31:06I think because it's just not as visually.
- 31:09I don't think that's really, really era is quite, as I know,
- 31:12I'm a memorable as you think it is, but I mean, it's only
- 31:17production issues. Like, you know what actually do
- 31:20you be really interesting point that, you know, it can be had
- 31:22known to happen if this was in the ground Williams, there are
- 31:26something that looked this good. It would really stand out in.
- 31:29This would be stunning if this was in the middle of grain
- 31:32Williams. Yeah.
- 31:33What that's not to say. There aren't stunning stories in
- 31:35the middle of G, of course, of course, yeah.
- 31:41Did he do a quote? Now he always does apply
- 31:43whenever whenever he's disorder. Yeah, doesn't he talk about
- 31:49treacle? Well yeah.
- 31:51Santa Clara Marfa. Yeah, that's doesn't that isn't
- 31:54that? What in the Mad Hatter's tea
- 31:56party doesn't deserve thing? That's lives in the teapot say
- 31:59that. All right.
- 32:01What is it? The what lives in teapot the Mad
- 32:03Hatter and the March Hare and The what is it?
- 32:06Everyone's saying it right now? Oh, this is tiggy-winkle.
- 32:10No, anyway I think that's what is from.
- 32:12Did you see? Elizabeth Satan's face?
- 32:15She asked him hey where they were so that as if to say, none
- 32:19of this was in the fucking script, Yeah, when am I gonna
- 32:22start acting again? What's going on the, take it
- 32:25off. What are you lying on the way?
- 32:28The rocket is about to go off. Oh, so they're going to make it
- 32:31look as if they are going to make it look as if food is
- 32:35making a real they'll ever seen. Have you ever seen a rocket at
- 32:39more like a penis and that it's not.
- 32:42I mean budget-wise, they haven't got time to be a rocking
- 32:45properly. If they, they've got getting the
- 32:46raisin quick. Because the g-force will crush
- 32:49them to do when Mark was creating our fabulous, Android
- 32:53Invasion. When we filmed this in each
- 32:55Decor, he actually didn't you use raisins as they?
- 32:59Yeah, crowd following here. We are going to pray for his
- 33:01wearing, one of the falls space suits from planet.
- 33:05The Dalek voice to see very little of Lisa, Caesar have it,
- 33:09they should have sprayed the orange and they handled it in
- 33:11last time. It's the new series, do not
- 33:13think this stock footage rocket looks a bit different from the
- 33:16CSO, right? Sara.
- 33:18Something's very thin lips. It's crushing me.
- 33:21She's my makeup on us and she will tell you start right side
- 33:24of absolutely fabulous. Yeah, we're a detour at this
- 33:27nightmare that she was having plastic surgery done.
- 33:29Right? Probably should have it.
- 33:31All the, all the fat sucked out of her body and put into her
- 33:35lips and every time you cut back to where I bought, you got a
- 33:37smaller so there's like a dolly body underneath and I live.
- 33:41Absolutely massive. Right looking terrifying.
- 33:44That's what lizards What I have to say that was absolutely
- 33:53riveting and I cannot wait to see what happens next, will the
- 33:56doctor and Sarah survive, their G-Force phenomena and well,
- 34:00Jeremiah be able to pronounce anything.
- 34:02I will be better there. Anything within the story?
- 34:07Well, tune in next time to find out What I have to say that was
- 33:52absolutely riveting and I cannot wait to see what happens next,
- 33:56will the doctor and Sarah survive, their G-Force phenomena
- 34:00and well, Jeremiah be able to pronounce anything.
- 34:02I will be better there. Anything within the story?
- 34:07Well, tune in next time to find out
