- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Shoot. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: your host, Rob Shooter. It's Monday. It's a rainy Monday
- 0:20Speaker 1: here in New York City. And joining us is a
- 0:23Speaker 1: ray of sunshine, A dear friend, Garrett Vogel from Z
- 0:27Speaker 1: one hundred, Garrett Darling, Are you're there, Gather under me,
- 0:30Speaker 1: Rob Shooter. I shall draw you with my sunshine of rays.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You are a ray of sunshine? Were you always a
- 0:36Speaker 1: ray of sunshine when you were little? Where you're a
- 0:38Speaker 1: happy kid and more and more on the positive side,
- 0:41Speaker 1: because I mean, you have to be in life, because
- 0:43Speaker 1: you've got to look for the good always, so I think.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So I like to pretend that I make the decision
- 0:49Speaker 1: to look for the good, but in reality, I think
- 0:51Speaker 1: it's in my DNA. I was always a happy kid,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and I did not have that much to be happy about.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I know, my my arm was a mess. I was
- 0:59Speaker 1: in the closet it I've got a big nose like.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But even even in those circumstances, I was happy. How
- 1:05Speaker 1: dare you? I was a happy, happy kid. So try
- 1:09Speaker 1: to find the positive. I know, I know it can
- 1:12Speaker 1: can be difficult. Hey, let's jump into the show. We've
- 1:13Speaker 1: got something to make you all smile today and make
- 1:16Speaker 1: you all feel like raise of sunshine, lots of celebrity girls.
- 1:20Speaker 1: M were times in my friends Tea time, tea time, teatimes.
- 1:25Speaker 1: So Britney spears his doggies have been returned to her
- 1:29Speaker 1: after concerns about their health. So the dogs were brought
- 1:32Speaker 1: back to Brittany's home just a few days after questions
- 1:36Speaker 1: about their healthcare. The dogs were reportedly he's so ill
- 1:41Speaker 1: that a housekeeper decided to bring them on an emergency
- 1:45Speaker 1: trip to the vets. Since then, the dogs have been
- 1:48Speaker 1: staying with the dog sitter, as there were concerns about
- 1:53Speaker 1: if Brittany could actually look after the dogs. That remember
- 1:56Speaker 1: we talked about this on Friday. The fact that dogs
- 1:59Speaker 1: were missing caused an alleged physical altercation between Brittany and
- 2:05Speaker 1: the housekeeper. T mc not reporting the dogs are back
- 2:09Speaker 1: in her care. However, someone that's not back in her
- 2:14Speaker 1: company is the housekeeper. Is this just the big drama
- 2:18Speaker 1: about nothing? There is? There's something going on here, Garrett.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I think that this is a result of everyone wanting
- 2:25Speaker 1: Brittany to lead her own life, you know what I mean?
- 2:28Speaker 1: This is the let Brittany be her, and we're gonna
- 2:31Speaker 1: see a lot of it, you know it. I can
- 2:33Speaker 1: only imagine how many times her dad has slipped someone
- 2:38Speaker 1: like a housekeeper money and said, hey, you know, sorry
- 2:41Speaker 1: about this. Uh let's just call it what it is.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Here's some money, thank you very much for your help.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. We're not gonna see this. We're gonna
- 2:48Speaker 1: see the other side of this that we have we've
- 2:50Speaker 1: been missing out on for fifteen years, rightfully, So it's
- 2:53Speaker 1: not our it's not our position. But it'll be interesting
- 2:55Speaker 1: to see how what what happens next. That's interesting. You're saying,
- 2:58Speaker 1: just to get this straight here, you're saying you think
- 3:01Speaker 1: the dad and people around her have covered up for
- 3:03Speaker 1: her in the past, like sleep because Britney saying the opposite.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Britney's camp and Britney sources are implying that the dad
- 3:10Speaker 1: actually did this to get bad press. They're implying that
- 3:13Speaker 1: the dad might have been involved in slipping the housekeeper
- 3:17Speaker 1: money to expose the problem. But you're taking a different
- 3:20Speaker 1: point of I think it's the other way. It's so interesting,
- 3:23Speaker 1: this is what's going to happen here. So Britney Spears
- 3:26Speaker 1: is a very troubled individual. We know that, and we
- 3:29Speaker 1: are rooting for her. But the big, big question that
- 3:32Speaker 1: we've all been sort of grappling with is should you
- 3:35Speaker 1: be in charge of your own life even if you
- 3:38Speaker 1: make bad decisions? Now, some people are not capable of
- 3:42Speaker 1: making any decisions and they need help. Not many people.
- 3:45Speaker 1: That are some and those people we have to look after. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 1: Britney's arguing that she can make her own decisions. They
- 3:53Speaker 1: might not be the decisions you want, They might make
- 3:55Speaker 1: you very uncomfortable. But should she be allowed to make
- 3:59Speaker 1: her own decision? Which brings us to our pole question
- 4:02Speaker 1: of the day. Brittany's dogs have been returned to her
- 4:06Speaker 1: after concerns about their health. Should Brittany get the puppies back?
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know, I love a dog. I love me you
- 4:15Speaker 1: you love you love dogs though too. What's the name
- 4:18Speaker 1: of your puppy? Mineus Scarlet like you're the best dad
- 4:25Speaker 1: in the world. To go vote on our Twitter page
- 4:28Speaker 1: which is at Naughty Nice Rob Facebook page He's naughty
- 4:32Speaker 1: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Garrett Love, what are you working on? Alright? So? Rob,
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'm going to do the story about Kanye West, but
- 4:43Speaker 1: soon after I want to hear about your very wet
- 4:46Speaker 1: We'll get to it, Okay, okay, alright, alright, so let's
- 4:48Speaker 1: talk about Kanye. So this is kind of interesting. It's
- 4:50Speaker 1: nothing about him living in stadiums, it's nothing about his music.
- 4:54Speaker 1: He actually, I think we all could have seen the
- 4:57Speaker 1: writing on the wall on this one has called it
- 4:59Speaker 1: quits with his his very short term relationship with his models.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's one of those things where you sound better saying
- 5:08Speaker 1: it than ever. Actually a terrible at pronouncing, not just names, words,
- 5:13Speaker 1: even though my sound really really smart because I have
- 5:15Speaker 1: a Mary Poppings accent, I'm actually really bad with words.
- 5:19Speaker 1: But what I've learned is if you say them really quickly,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and if you say them with an accent, you get
- 5:24Speaker 1: away there. So according to people, it was never it
- 5:32Speaker 1: was never a serious thing. And and no matter what
- 5:36Speaker 1: in any type of relationship, the relationship after your serious
- 5:40Speaker 1: relationship you call what it is is more of like
- 5:42Speaker 1: a rebound, just to get yourself back out there. Uh.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You know, Kanye has been busy working. He's also been
- 5:48Speaker 1: living in stadiums across the country, so you know, I
- 5:53Speaker 1: mean this goes back to June, they traveled to France
- 5:56Speaker 1: to celebrate the forty four birthday. Imagine imagined earlier in
- 5:59Speaker 1: a relationship, but I didn't. Bruce goes rob Let's let
- 6:02Speaker 1: me take you to France to celebrate and you've only
- 6:05Speaker 1: been dating for like yesterday. I love that part. The
- 6:07Speaker 1: part that I wouldn't like if Bruce moved into the
- 6:09Speaker 1: Barkley's Center and I found myself sleeping on a cot Oh.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Can you imagine if you want to get a little
- 6:15Speaker 1: bit intimate and you're in the middle of the Barkley's day,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you want to come back to my Then we got
- 6:19Speaker 1: back to the Barcley's Center and there's twenty thou people
- 6:21Speaker 1: watching us. I don't like it. What do you want
- 6:23Speaker 1: for dinner? I can get a hot dog and then
- 6:25Speaker 1: it's like twenty five dollars. They're not really expensive, So
- 6:28Speaker 1: does he have to pay for a party because that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: gonna be very expensively there for like a week. So
- 6:33Speaker 1: I sort of get this. I would guess it's very
- 6:36Speaker 1: difficult to date Kanye West, which only actually gives me
- 6:40Speaker 1: more respect for Kim here if you think about it,
- 6:42Speaker 1: we like to beat up the Kardashians, but Kim was heroic.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Is this again one of those on again, off again
- 6:48Speaker 1: relationships that as much as you know, I think a
- 6:51Speaker 1: Grad and j Lo A are proceeding disaster in their
- 6:54Speaker 1: separation than Kim. And it's interesting, says a society. If
- 6:58Speaker 1: you stay friends with your beau, we often think you're
- 7:01Speaker 1: going to get back together. So there's nothing friendly at
- 7:03Speaker 1: the moment about j Lo and a Rod. They're over,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and I think in many ways it's an easier story
- 7:09Speaker 1: for us to tell if you break up and you
- 7:12Speaker 1: really fought out, which honestly, my sources are telling me
- 7:15Speaker 1: Jennifer is not that happy with a Rod, like shut up,
- 7:18Speaker 1: stop talking about me, stop following me, and bed everywhere.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So I think it's easier to say, oh, they're over,
- 7:24Speaker 1: But that's true with our friends. It's very difficult when
- 7:26Speaker 1: we have a friend who breaks up but then tries
- 7:29Speaker 1: to remain friends with the girl or the guy, and
- 7:31Speaker 1: sort of Kim is really trying to do that. My
- 7:33Speaker 1: sources tell me they are not back together. She is
- 7:37Speaker 1: not getting back together with him. She's been a great
- 7:39Speaker 1: co parent here and she does love him. There's something
- 7:42Speaker 1: about him that she really really loves. But I think
- 7:46Speaker 1: and this is where it gets like a little a
- 7:48Speaker 1: little tricky. She looks at him in the same sort
- 7:51Speaker 1: of way that Gwyneth looks at Chris Martin. I think
- 7:54Speaker 1: he's opened into like a bit of a brother, which
- 7:56Speaker 1: is what you are to me, Garrett. So don't you
- 7:58Speaker 1: get any idea we're never getting we can't get married.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We're gonna I promise we're gonna talk about my weekend
- 8:05Speaker 1: and sent to a park in a minute. But we're
- 8:06Speaker 1: gonna get a little bit more gossip at the way first.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Adam Rodgers I Love him, is saying that he is
- 8:12Speaker 1: still available if Jeopardy wants to call. So after the
- 8:15Speaker 1: very contraversed shoulder Mike Richards stepped down as the new
- 8:20Speaker 1: host of Jeopardy, it sounds like Adam Rodgers is still
- 8:24Speaker 1: interested in the job. He was asked on Serious x
- 8:27Speaker 1: M if he would still take it, and he said
- 8:29Speaker 1: I definitely would. And he also said I have to
- 8:32Speaker 1: figure out a way though, to make it work with
- 8:34Speaker 1: his schedule. You might he's sort of busy. He's busy
- 8:39Speaker 1: for a minimum of almost twenty four weeks, like he's
- 8:43Speaker 1: twenty four weeks are booked. He's very, very busy. But
- 8:47Speaker 1: the good news about Jeopardy is they very rarely have
- 8:50Speaker 1: breaking news on the show, so you can actually tape
- 8:53Speaker 1: that show in maybe like six weeks, and you can
- 8:55Speaker 1: do a whole year of shows. So there is a
- 8:58Speaker 1: way of him doing it. But he brings us to
- 9:00Speaker 1: have bigger question here, what is going to happen with
- 9:03Speaker 1: Jeopardy now? Mike, who we don't like anymore, who's stepped down.
- 9:08Speaker 1: He's already taped a few episodes which are going to
- 9:11Speaker 1: end next season, so we are going to see him
- 9:14Speaker 1: host a few maybe weeks of the show. They've got
- 9:17Speaker 1: to find a new host, and they can't make a
- 9:19Speaker 1: mistake again. Well, you know what's interesting, And I was
- 9:22Speaker 1: talking about this with a few friends over the weekend
- 9:24Speaker 1: about you know, the Mike Richards story. It just goes
- 9:27Speaker 1: to show how great Alex Trebek was at the job.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You know, you can't find the exact replacement, but I
- 9:34Speaker 1: don't even think they can come close to finding like
- 9:36Speaker 1: a good second place, you know what I mean? The
- 9:38Speaker 1: skill set that he had. He was funny and witty
- 9:42Speaker 1: and smart and a gentleman, and he rooted for the
- 9:45Speaker 1: contestants without sort of tipping his hand, it is so
- 9:49Speaker 1: hard what he does, what's making the show really nervous,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and it earns a lot of money that show, that
- 9:55Speaker 1: show is a cash cow. Is part of the reason,
- 9:59Speaker 1: with watching it for years, Garrett, the research shows this
- 10:03Speaker 1: is it's very familiar. So when the show changes hosts,
- 10:07Speaker 1: when Regis leaves live in the morning, you want the
- 10:10Speaker 1: new host to slip in as quickly as possible and
- 10:13Speaker 1: suddenly become a familiar face. And this is the opposite
- 10:17Speaker 1: of that. But you know what I learned though, Like
- 10:19Speaker 1: in entertainment and pretty much anything in life, you do
- 10:22Speaker 1: not want to be the next guy or or woman
- 10:24Speaker 1: to to follow, you know, such an iconic person. You
- 10:28Speaker 1: want to be the second person, you know, unless unless
- 10:32Speaker 1: Alex Trebek, you know, before he passed away, gave his blessing. Hey,
- 10:37Speaker 1: this is this is this is the person I would
- 10:40Speaker 1: like to see take But then never, never happens. Nobody
- 10:43Speaker 1: wants to pass the batton. Actually, I'll tell you a
- 10:45Speaker 1: little bit of gossip here. I'm up for a big job.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I can't tell you where yet, but it's an iconic
- 10:49Speaker 1: It's an iconic gossip job, and the person doing it
- 10:53Speaker 1: might be retiring from that job, So they're looking for
- 10:55Speaker 1: the next generation type gossip columnis. Don't even guess it,
- 10:59Speaker 1: are getting trouble out, but you are going to be
- 11:03Speaker 1: the empire of all empires. But I know if I
- 11:07Speaker 1: replace an icon, unless that icon passes me the baton,
- 11:11Speaker 1: unless like the queen taking her taking her sword and
- 11:14Speaker 1: knighting years on the shoulders saying I now give you
- 11:17Speaker 1: this power. And as a former pabulusist, I've actually thought
- 11:20Speaker 1: through the whole scenario. So I want to go to
- 11:24Speaker 1: a restaurant with a lot of glass windows and sit
- 11:26Speaker 1: in the window and have the gossip columnists currently in
- 11:29Speaker 1: the job the icon to sort of like laugh and
- 11:32Speaker 1: smile and shake my hand and across the street. I'll
- 11:35Speaker 1: have a photographer to take the pictures, because pictures are
- 11:38Speaker 1: more important than even a statement. And then we'll leave
- 11:41Speaker 1: the restaurant laughing and smiling and we'll sort of kiss
- 11:45Speaker 1: on the cheek. And then if I get the job,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I could be like they love me, which I don't
- 11:49Speaker 1: think they really do. Just make sure it's not the
- 11:53Speaker 1: same paparati that Kim and the genders and then the
- 11:56Speaker 1: Kardashian Jews, because we do know they show up wherever
- 11:59Speaker 1: they say. So, Rob, just make sure we get the
- 12:01Speaker 1: right for talking. I hope it's you that I can
- 12:04Speaker 1: afford you on your iPhone iPhone, dont to Gardashian Jenner's
- 12:08Speaker 1: I believe we might have another one on the way, Garrett. Yes,
- 12:12Speaker 1: so we learned this, I believe on Friday to that
- 12:15Speaker 1: Kylie Jenner is pregnant expecting her second child with Travis Scott.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So if you're very wondering, like are they on? Are
- 12:21Speaker 1: they off? Like just like many of the relationships in
- 12:24Speaker 1: in that household, Yes, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner having
- 12:28Speaker 1: their second child. But here's the thing we didn't learn
- 12:30Speaker 1: from Kylie. We didn't learn from Travis Scott. We learned
- 12:33Speaker 1: from Caitlin Jenner during during a campaign event of all things.
- 12:39Speaker 1: This is just a raybub everything is. Yeah. So, so
- 12:43Speaker 1: Caitlin announced that she has another grandchild on the way
- 12:46Speaker 1: that that makes eighteen grandchildren and and she says, I
- 12:50Speaker 1: keep telling the girls, uh, and they're not too excited
- 12:53Speaker 1: about this either, would I if if I was, if
- 12:55Speaker 1: I was a female in that in that family. But
- 12:57Speaker 1: she wants, she wants her children to have third kids,
- 13:00Speaker 1: grandchildren altogether, a lot of babies. But here's here's the thing,
- 13:04Speaker 1: Like Caitlin Jenner, no matter where you want to say,
- 13:07Speaker 1: such a publicity stunt written all over it at a
- 13:10Speaker 1: campaign event announcing that one of your most most popular children,
- 13:15Speaker 1: most wealthy and children child is expecting what a lot
- 13:19Speaker 1: of people were curious about that? And that is such
- 13:22Speaker 1: publicity stunt written all over it. Doesn't change anything in
- 13:24Speaker 1: your political stance, not even the baby is too young
- 13:28Speaker 1: to vote. And honestly, if the baby was eighteen, I'm
- 13:31Speaker 1: not sure it's she's going to vote for you. I
- 13:32Speaker 1: don't think the Kardashians are voted for Catelin. Oh, it's
- 13:35Speaker 1: just awful. There's something about and I have to be
- 13:38Speaker 1: careful of this because it's my job to gossip about
- 13:41Speaker 1: other people. But even I know when it's not my
- 13:43Speaker 1: story to tell, particularly with friends and family members. Garrett,
- 13:47Speaker 1: if you should be blessed with another baby, whose story
- 13:50Speaker 1: is that to tell? Isn't it yours? And your wife
- 13:53Speaker 1: tell everybody your little son? He said, Oh, yeah, he's
- 13:56Speaker 1: a big rat and now I will take care of
- 13:58Speaker 1: him eventually. But you know, and it happened so much
- 14:02Speaker 1: like even if you get engaged and you're listening to
- 14:04Speaker 1: this and you kind of understand what we're talking about.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Like if you get engaged or you have a big
- 14:09Speaker 1: promotion and you tell that one person in your fit
- 14:11Speaker 1: that you feel that is like, you know, it's so
- 14:14Speaker 1: super close to you, but yet they can't help themselves
- 14:17Speaker 1: that they spouted out that the cop of their lungs
- 14:19Speaker 1: before you even get a chance to say it. I can, though,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I can't forgive when people accidentally slip up. And there's
- 14:26Speaker 1: a difference here because with Caitlin, she didn't slip up.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Caitlyn did this on purpose to get it. Wasn't like
- 14:32Speaker 1: she she was at dinner and and just you know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: talking to a good girlfriend. She was at a campaign
- 14:38Speaker 1: event promoting herself. Like, if we go with drinks and
- 14:41Speaker 1: you slip up and you tell me something you shouldn't,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I might give you the benefit of the diet. But
- 14:45Speaker 1: if you tell me on a red carpet, Garretts, if
- 14:47Speaker 1: you're walking a red carpet and I ask you a
- 14:49Speaker 1: question and you tell me that you're having another baby,
- 14:52Speaker 1: then as far as I'm concerned, that is a press
- 14:56Speaker 1: release and I Am going to run with it. Hey,
- 14:59Speaker 1: we're gonna take a quick break here, but when we
- 15:00Speaker 1: come back, I promise we will get to the big
- 15:03Speaker 1: concert in Central Park this weekend. Lots of drama, lots
- 15:06Speaker 1: of gossip. Barry Madelow was dragged off stage at the
- 15:09Speaker 1: middle of his said, I'm friends with Barrys. I'll tell
- 15:11Speaker 1: you all about that after the bad We'll be right back.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Welcome back to the naughty, that nice show. Im that
- 15:20Speaker 1: dear dear friend. Garrett Vogel from Z one. Hey, Garrett,
- 15:25Speaker 1: let's get to the polls. Very official, very official. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: wish we could afford actual official trumpets there sound effects, Garrett,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but at the moment we can't. I just play the
- 15:36Speaker 1: mouth trump Honey, You've got a great trumpet. That sounds
- 15:39Speaker 1: a little bit dirty, doesn't it. Okay, So Brittany's it
- 15:41Speaker 1: does sound a little I didn't mean it to sound
- 15:43Speaker 1: like that. Brittany's is under criminal investigation for striking an employee.
- 15:50Speaker 1: We spoke about this on Friday. Should we be worried
- 15:53Speaker 1: about Brittany? Was the question, let's have a look at
- 15:55Speaker 1: the results. Where are they? Oh? Here, they are past
- 15:57Speaker 1: me the envelope. Please. Fifty three percent said yes, we
- 16:01Speaker 1: should be worried about Brittany m I think agree with
- 16:06Speaker 1: the majority, but I also think too, we want Brittany
- 16:09Speaker 1: now to be a perfect princess, and that's not going
- 16:11Speaker 1: to happen. Everybody messes up. Unfortunately, when she does, the
- 16:15Speaker 1: whole world is going to be watching and judging and
- 16:17Speaker 1: ready to pounce. Little Garrett. Have we set her up
- 16:21Speaker 1: now for really an impossible life? Oh no, we're doing
- 16:25Speaker 1: the exact same thing that happened ten years ago that
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, when she was taking umbrellas at the gas station.
- 16:31Speaker 1: This is the this is the Brittany people want to
- 16:33Speaker 1: see again. Unfortunately, and you know, until you're walking in
- 16:36Speaker 1: her shoes or like, you cannot assume that you know
- 16:39Speaker 1: how the outcome is, you know, and also to for
- 16:42Speaker 1: the last thirteen years, she hasn't really been allowed to
- 16:46Speaker 1: grow and develop and develop her skills. And so in
- 16:49Speaker 1: my life, actually growing older and making my own decisions,
- 16:53Speaker 1: including bad decisions, has helped me grow. For the last
- 16:56Speaker 1: thirteen years, she's never made a really important decision. It's
- 17:00Speaker 1: been made for her. So it's almost like arrested development.
- 17:03Speaker 1: She's not being allowed to process and grow and develop.
- 17:07Speaker 1: So I'm frightened when she's finally free. She's going to
- 17:11Speaker 1: bounce back to Brittany a thirteen years ago, which we
- 17:14Speaker 1: know is not a good Brittany. Oh gosh, this could
- 17:18Speaker 1: be really dangerous. I hope not. Listen, don't forget to
- 17:20Speaker 1: vote on today's poll. You can go to our Twitter
- 17:23Speaker 1: page at Naughty Nights a Facebook page, nor the gods
- 17:26Speaker 1: here mammy. She'll have to check back tomorrow to hear
- 17:28Speaker 1: your results. And now it's time for the nicest of
- 17:32Speaker 1: the day. Yes. Well, you know if if you ever
- 17:36Speaker 1: been to New York or even out to l A
- 17:38Speaker 1: and you've tried desperately to get tickets to go see Hamilton's,
- 17:41Speaker 1: and you wonder why, and it's not because of the scalpers.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It's because Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are bringing their
- 17:48Speaker 1: kids along to the date night. So that's that's like
- 17:50Speaker 1: a ticket right there alone. I can only imagine that's
- 17:55Speaker 1: I mean that the amount of money spent on those
- 17:57Speaker 1: tickets alone, and and and I'm wondering do they play
- 18:01Speaker 1: they pay markets, There's no way they manuel. So she
- 18:05Speaker 1: probably takes forms. But Linda doesn't get free tickets. So
- 18:07Speaker 1: that the mistake we make is when you get free
- 18:09Speaker 1: tickets to a concert or a Broadway play. You think
- 18:12Speaker 1: they're free. There's no such thing. If that's right, your husband,
- 18:15Speaker 1: you know this because of you. If you want to
- 18:17Speaker 1: go and see one of Bruce's musicals or Barry live
- 18:20Speaker 1: on stage at Madison Square Garden, he pays for your tickets.
- 18:24Speaker 1: If if you don't pay, they're not free. Somebody is paying.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So lin Manuel, he's so rich. He might have said
- 18:29Speaker 1: to jayl I'll get you a whole row. I'll take
- 18:31Speaker 1: the bill. But but but somebody paid for those right
- 18:34Speaker 1: right exactly, so they all went family date night. The
- 18:37Speaker 1: power of being a celebrity, you get to go do
- 18:39Speaker 1: these things. Maybe that's what I need to shoot for
- 18:41Speaker 1: in life. I need to become a celebrity in order
- 18:43Speaker 1: for me to go see how Yeah, I saw it.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I saw the show after Lynn left, but it's still
- 18:51Speaker 1: the show. It's still the show. But Rob Shooter, let's
- 18:54Speaker 1: be honest. I went to go see Linn Manuel Miranda
- 18:58Speaker 1: the show. I mean, I love like the musical and
- 19:01Speaker 1: it's grieven great without Lynn, but it's better, I guess
- 19:03Speaker 1: with Lynn. It's like gonna see Michael Jackson live and
- 19:05Speaker 1: Michael is not there, of course, But Here's here's the thing.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Here's here's I guess, here's the positive side of being
- 19:11Speaker 1: a celebrity when you get to go do normal things
- 19:13Speaker 1: like a Broadway show like Hamilton's and then go unnoticed
- 19:17Speaker 1: pretty much the entire way. Uh, you know, you know,
- 19:20Speaker 1: so it's kind of kind of nice and it's cool
- 19:22Speaker 1: to see that, you know, Jennifer Lopez literally can put
- 19:25Speaker 1: her head down and and go forward. With all the
- 19:28Speaker 1: noise around her life, you got to find a way
- 19:30Speaker 1: to be normal. When I worked with her, surprisingly, there
- 19:33Speaker 1: was surprising how many normal things she did, although I've
- 19:35Speaker 1: got to say wearing a mask is probably helping at
- 19:37Speaker 1: the moment. Let's notice the day. The notice the day
- 19:40Speaker 1: is the New York City weather over the weekend, a
- 19:43Speaker 1: massive concert in Central Part Barry Manlot, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hanson.
- 19:47Speaker 1: We're all singing in the park and it's um the
- 19:50Speaker 1: park or mother Nature had another idea, a hurricane stop.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Mother Nature didn't get a ticket to stop the show. So,
- 19:59Speaker 1: as you know, my husband Bruce has worked with Barry
- 20:02Speaker 1: for years writing the songs really that make the whole
- 20:04Speaker 1: world sing. We we were not there, Garrett, we were
- 20:07Speaker 1: not there. So What happened is Bruce and I were
- 20:10Speaker 1: watching it on c an N and the minute he
- 20:13Speaker 1: started to sing, we jumped in an uber to go
- 20:16Speaker 1: uptown to Frescoes by Scotto, a restaurant to meet him
- 20:19Speaker 1: for dinner. So after performing, he hadn't had dinner, so
- 20:22Speaker 1: after his set he was going on I think it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He performed on in he likes to be. It makes
- 20:27Speaker 1: you jump around or you don't want to be a
- 20:28Speaker 1: big fatty up there and field top because if you
- 20:30Speaker 1: have Timmy's fall, it's like going for a swim after
- 20:32Speaker 1: you've at your dinner. You don't want to do that.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Start doing the podcast. I am, I am. That's why
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think I'm a little bit better than you know.
- 20:38Speaker 1: But I don't eat until after the podcast, so he
- 20:41Speaker 1: was hungry. He goes on I think at seven thirty,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and we planned to meet him at eight thirty at
- 20:46Speaker 1: Scotto's Uptown and Rosanna, who owns the restaurant high Row,
- 20:50Speaker 1: had prepared a lovely at the table for eight in
- 20:53Speaker 1: the corner. He's so famous, he likes to eat in
- 20:55Speaker 1: like a corner where he can sort of be left alone.
- 20:57Speaker 1: And we waited, and we waited, and then Bruce's phone
- 21:00Speaker 1: blew up and it was Barry, who was pretty much
- 21:02Speaker 1: locked in backstage. So after the show got canceled, they
- 21:06Speaker 1: kept hoping they would restart the show, but mother nature
- 21:09Speaker 1: said absolute name not. So we sat at the restaurant
- 21:12Speaker 1: a table for eight, and Bruce and I stretched out
- 21:15Speaker 1: and had a dinner for two. It was the best
- 21:17Speaker 1: dinner I've ever had. We had so much room because
- 21:19Speaker 1: I was watching the show and I just heard the
- 21:21Speaker 1: audio too. I think there's more of a nicer, polite
- 21:25Speaker 1: way to to stop a man was in the middle
- 21:28Speaker 1: of I know they could have let him finish at
- 21:30Speaker 1: least the bar or the notes. He said, though, that
- 21:33Speaker 1: lightning had struck the battery, so he knew lightning was
- 21:37Speaker 1: coming up town and had it just rained, they would
- 21:39Speaker 1: have let the show go on. And you can get wet,
- 21:41Speaker 1: but when it's dangerous, when lightning strike, you've got to
- 21:44Speaker 1: get people out of their fast. He didn't know what
- 21:45Speaker 1: was going on, so he was singing away and then
- 21:47Speaker 1: God bless him. Anderson Cooper called him or texted him
- 21:50Speaker 1: and said, will you call into CNN or I think
- 21:52Speaker 1: on the air. Anderson challenged Barry, like, please call him, please,
- 21:56Speaker 1: call in a singer. He was about to sing, I
- 21:58Speaker 1: made It through the Rain. That was his next song,
- 22:01Speaker 1: and Sir Barry called in to see it then, and
- 22:03Speaker 1: he knocked it out of the park. This is where
- 22:05Speaker 1: experience some real talent cans. A lot of artists couldn't
- 22:08Speaker 1: have just sang a cappella on the telephone into CNN.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Barry sang the song. He did a great job. Ultimately
- 22:14Speaker 1: we did not meet him for dinner. He was a
- 22:16Speaker 1: good boy. He stayed around so that they could reboot
- 22:19Speaker 1: the show. He waited, he waited. Ultimately the show was canceled,
- 22:22Speaker 1: but we saw him the next day. Barry Manlow, we
- 22:26Speaker 1: love you. Hey. That's it for today. We ran out
- 22:30Speaker 1: of time. But thank you so much for listening to
