- 0:02Speaker 1: I understand that Cavin Fever is so much more than
- 0:04Speaker 1: a card st oh it is.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Absolutely they got candy there, Yeah, candy, vintage candy, vintage
- 0:14Speaker 2: can Now, when you say vintage candy, it's not old.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It's not old brands that you remember that you don't
- 0:20Speaker 2: see it very much, that you don't see around. Because
- 0:22Speaker 2: I was telling Gina that for some reason on Facebook,
- 0:27Speaker 2: I made a video like four years ago.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It was like during during COVID.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Where I opened up a package of trading card gum
- 0:37Speaker 2: is Batman the movie Keaton The First Batman. Huh thirty
- 0:42Speaker 2: five year old gum? Yeah, and I ate it and
- 0:47Speaker 2: spit it out, and that I did that four years ago.
- 0:50Speaker 2: For some reason, it's back on my Facebook feed and
- 0:54Speaker 2: people are commenting on there.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Must be some vintage candy trending something that.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I have no idea, but it's it's there for some reason. Anyway,
- 1:04Speaker 2: All right, keek news.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Uh, well, we're all sad that Daniel Craig, well I
- 1:11Speaker 2: was anyway that Daniel Craig turned down the World War
- 1:15Speaker 2: two movie based on the comic book character Sergeant Rock m.
- 1:19Speaker 2: He said, I can't do it. I'm not gonna do it.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So they were out looking for someone else and they're
- 1:26Speaker 2: currently talking to can you guess anybody.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Not Daniel Craig somewhere, and.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I can't remember who it was. I don't know. No, yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I can't remember. I saw it, but I can't remember
- 1:38Speaker 1: who they give me.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Not an American, okay, which is the big problem. It
- 1:44Speaker 2: was Jermaine Clement. No, it might as well be who
- 1:48Speaker 2: is it? No, it was Colin Farrell. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:52Speaker 2: an irishman. An irishman.
- 1:55Speaker 1: But he can do a Oh he can. He'd be good,
- 1:58Speaker 1: he'd be fine.
- 1:59Speaker 3: But are he busy with the penguin stuff.
- 2:02Speaker 2: No, he doesn't want to do the penguin unless it's
- 2:05Speaker 2: in the movie. I'm sick of that eight hour makeup thing.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I don't want to do it anymore. We're Sergeant Rock.
- 2:11Speaker 2: He wouldn't have to. You just show up and put
- 2:13Speaker 2: on his uniform, go do it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So they're talking to him about it, and this is
- 2:18Speaker 2: under the James Gunn DC Studios situation said that we'll
- 2:23Speaker 2: do it if we can find the perfect actor for
- 2:25Speaker 2: the part. So now the Sergeant Rock character, I mean,
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't know much about that character.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It was just kind of an army man. Basically, he
- 2:35Speaker 2: doesn't have any powers or anything. It was just a
- 2:37Speaker 2: comic book, just war comic. Yeah, back when war comics
- 2:40Speaker 2: were popular, you know. World War II Soldier first appeared
- 2:45Speaker 2: in comics nineteen fifty nine. Let's see. His comic was
- 2:50Speaker 2: one of the one of DC's longest running books. And
- 2:53Speaker 2: apparently Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger have both tried to
- 2:57Speaker 2: get a Sergeant Rock Rock kicking it around. So maybe
- 3:01Speaker 2: Colin Farrell will do it. Maybe Nicholas Cage starring in
- 3:11Speaker 2: Spider Man Noir. Now you remember he voiced the character
- 3:14Speaker 2: in the animated Yeah, this is a live action. Well
- 3:18Speaker 2: he's going to be No, he's apparently insisting on doing
- 3:23Speaker 2: as much as he possibly can in the costume.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Why would they agree.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Because it's Nicholas Cage. Yes, I don't know, but you
- 3:31Speaker 2: know how he's one of those actors who insists on
- 3:34Speaker 2: something and that has to it has to want me here.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But the reason that this has come up is because
- 3:40Speaker 2: they're they're in the middle of filming and they're taking
- 3:43Speaker 2: a look at the you know, after you shoot it,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you go back and you take a look at the
- 3:48Speaker 2: daily The dailies is what it's called. And this is
- 3:51Speaker 2: what kind of bugs me is that they're saying, you
- 3:53Speaker 2: know what, we should release this in black and white.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And I'm like, of course, you should release it in
- 3:59Speaker 2: black and white. It shouldn't be released in color. It's
- 4:02Speaker 2: a noir, that's the whole idea. And it just made
- 4:06Speaker 2: me want to go back and read the comic again
- 4:08Speaker 2: because it was very good. So Spider Man Noir will
- 4:11Speaker 2: air on MGM Plus someday when it gets done. Hey,
- 4:17Speaker 2: you got a little extra money lying around? You know?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Maybe people always try to get you to give them
- 4:23Speaker 2: their money to invest in things like bitcoin or something
- 4:27Speaker 2: like that. I've got something that would actually, I think
- 4:29Speaker 2: make you some money. Beefsteak mine close. We can buy
- 4:34Speaker 2: the rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yeah, it's up
- 4:37Speaker 2: for sale.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Really, why would that even make it that far?
- 4:42Speaker 2: You'd think it just it would be says here. Another
- 4:45Speaker 2: long standing intellectual property rights hit the market, drawing up
- 4:48Speaker 2: major interests from producers in studios WM shopping the rights
- 4:53Speaker 2: to not only the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but Jason Bourne. See,
- 4:57Speaker 2: we could invest in any one of these looks like
- 5:01Speaker 2: we're getting out bid already. Glenn Powell wants to buy
- 5:04Speaker 2: the rights.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Well how much is he like putting up more than
- 5:07Speaker 1: we have? You?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, it looks like it anyway. So well, it
- 5:12Speaker 2: was a good idea for a second. For a second.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Maybe here's another thing that we invested. Okay, you sent
- 5:20Speaker 2: me the Shopping.
- 5:21Speaker 1: For Superman documentary.
- 5:24Speaker 2: That was a kickstarter that they were trying to do,
- 5:26Speaker 2: and apparently it was a couple of years ago. I
- 5:28Speaker 2: don't know where that story popped up in your feed.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But I just found it on but there you go.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And it didn't work apparently, so they never did it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: They never did it.
- 5:37Speaker 2: So this one, though, looks interesting, and I predicted that
- 5:40Speaker 2: if we invest in it, we will lose our money
- 5:42Speaker 2: because Disney. Nearly two years ago, Disney shuttered the Galactic
- 5:48Speaker 2: Star Cruiser down in Florida, very pricey, large scale immersive
- 5:53Speaker 2: hotel experience. It just didn't work. It just it was
- 5:57Speaker 2: just too expensive and it just didn't quite work, and
- 6:00Speaker 2: so they closed it. Right Well, there was a historian
- 6:05Speaker 2: and designer. Her name's Katie Curic. She launched a kickstarter
- 6:10Speaker 2: for a documentary called Halcyon Days, which promises to cover
- 6:16Speaker 2: the ambitious launch, spectacular run, and crushing closure of the
- 6:20Speaker 2: Galactic star Cruiser. So this is a kickstarter for this documentary.
- 6:26Speaker 2: They but you're right, Disney's not going to Disney's GOP.
- 6:29Speaker 2: They're not going to let that out, are they. I mean,
- 6:31Speaker 2: you remember ticket prices for this were four eight hundred
- 6:34Speaker 2: dollars up to six thousand dollars.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I mean you can see where it would have been
- 6:39Speaker 3: a fun idea to take your family there, great idea, but.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but that was just way too way too much money,
- 6:47Speaker 2: way too much money. So I guess we could invest
- 6:50Speaker 2: in that. Finally, this a man to say. Fred is
- 6:53Speaker 2: out there promoting that TV series The Bright River or whatever, Yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 2: Dark whatever it is long Bright River. Yeah, that show
- 7:00Speaker 2: that she's in. Yeah, and she's been saying a lot
- 7:04Speaker 2: of stuff, you know, people asking her questions about her
- 7:06Speaker 2: career and whatnot. She said that she was offered the
- 7:11Speaker 2: role of Gomorrah in Guardians of the Galaxy by James Gunn.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And then I'm hearing you and Bill Frost talking about
- 7:20Speaker 2: how tiny she is, and I'm like, well, so is
- 7:21Speaker 2: Zoe Saldona. That's very tan but Zoe Saldana could sell it,
- 7:25Speaker 2: you know, she could sell that she's the most dangerous
- 7:27Speaker 2: woman in the galaxy where. I don't know if Amanda
- 7:30Speaker 2: Seyfried could do it, but she said, I was really
- 7:32Speaker 2: scared of the idea of being stuck and painted a
- 7:34Speaker 2: different color because of the amount of time it takes.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It was a giant opportunity. I had just met James
- 7:40Speaker 2: in person. He was wonderful. Apparently someone said he didn't
- 7:44Speaker 2: remember that this happened, but it is true. I got
- 7:47Speaker 2: the offer for it. I molded over a couple of days.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I didn't want to live in London for six months
- 7:51Speaker 2: out of the year. There was another movie I really
- 7:54Speaker 2: wanted to do, which was What a Million Ways to
- 7:59Speaker 2: Die in the Way Still seth McFarlane, which she did.
- 8:03Speaker 1: She did instead that just went down in play.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It didn't happen at all. No, let's see, she says.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I wouldn't you want to live in London for six months?
- 8:12Speaker 2: That sounds great because they talk funny. She said, Let's remember.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Let's also remember that being part of the first Marvel
- 8:19Speaker 2: movie that bombs ain't good for your career. And I thought,
- 8:21Speaker 2: because this was about a talking tree and a talking
- 8:24Speaker 2: raccoon that it would bomb.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I can you know. I can understand that.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I can understand that.
- 8:28Speaker 3: But saying Carrie Jackson, I remember when they first talked
- 8:32Speaker 3: about this movie coming out, even you were like, oh, yeah, I.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Don't know how they're going to do this. I was,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I love this, this storyline. I don't know how they're
- 8:41Speaker 2: going to do this. Rocket has always been one of
- 8:43Speaker 2: my favorite characters. I don't know how you do it. So,
- 8:47Speaker 2: I mean surprised there's that. But then to say that
- 8:50Speaker 2: Seth McFarlane's Million Ways to Die in the West was
- 8:53Speaker 2: a better.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Bet, well, I don't know.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Well, Olivia
