- 0:00We are living through a historic time in the gold and silver
- 0:04markets. We have a lot to be optimistic
- 0:06about, big reasons why we're going to talk about the COMEX in
- 0:10something breaking at the COMEX, but it's not what you think it
- 0:12is. We got charts to look at, but
- 0:15let's first just talk about what's happening today, which is
- 0:18nothing short of incredible in the silver and gold markets.
- 0:21We're going to go out and take a look at the spot price right
- 0:25now, get a quick update, and then we're going to talk about
- 0:27the reasons they are giving US for why we're having wow, up
- 0:33$4.00 per oz silver at $77.62 gold at 4990.
- 0:41But why? What are the reasons why we're
- 0:44being told the gold and silver price are moving like they are?
- 0:48OK, let's go out to Kitco and there's some really good news
- 0:52embedded in what they're telling us.
- 0:54Kitco, Our friends at Kitco tell us this, which is Gold and
- 1:02silver rally on bargain buying. Remember that there's an
- 1:07important reason why we're going to remember that Gold and silver
- 1:11prices are sharply higher near midday Wednesday.
- 1:13Prices are seeing corrective bounces from Tuesday's losses as
- 1:18well as some perceived bargain hunting.
- 1:21April gold was up 116 in March. Silver prices were up $4.30.
- 1:27Guys, think about this. The reason why I wanted to bring
- 1:30that up, if they're talking about gold being a bargain at
- 1:36$5000 per oz, silver being a bargain at 77 dollars, $78 per
- 1:43oz, the bargain hunters are coming in for $80 silver,
- 1:48basically. That's a very good sign.
- 1:51OK, that's actually a sign of a floor being put in, and there's
- 1:56no doubt about it. If we can get a floor, let's
- 2:00focus on silver at 80 dollars, $75 per oz.
- 2:04Even if it takes, Oh my gosh, it would feel like forever, another
- 2:09month or two or possibly even longer that we build a base in
- 2:13silver at 7570, even possibly $80 per oz.
- 2:19Do you realize where they could bring us?
- 2:21We're going to look at a chart from a guy who's calling for
- 2:23$159 silver by the end of the year.
- 2:26But that's a very, very good thing when they're telling us
- 2:30that it's bargain hunters. Take a step back and think about
- 2:34it. Bargain hunters buying silver at
- 2:37a spot price of $77 per oz. But wait, there's more because
- 2:41there's speculation that a part of this big bounce maybe because
- 2:45of a leak that came out. We're going to take a look at
- 2:48that. Again, I want to emphasize
- 2:50speculation, however, the silver trade put this out this morning.
- 2:56The silver rally continues after the US critical minerals price
- 3:02floor plan was leaked. And again, silver being on the
- 3:07US Geological Association, whatever the heck it's called, a
- 3:11critical minerals list. And now JD Vance has talked
- 3:14about putting in price floors. Will that include silver?
- 3:18Was there indeed a leak? Well, let's go out and see what
- 3:21the Bloomberg headline says because Bloomberg has this.
- 3:25US agencies have developed critical minerals price floor
- 3:31system. Oh, this is getting interesting.
- 3:34OK, and there's a picture of a dump truck with some rare
- 3:38earths. That's what rare earths look
- 3:39like, by the way. But the important thing here is
- 3:42that if indeed they do put out a a price floor, and if they
- 3:47include silver, who knows what people know.
- 3:50Again, I will Bloomberg said that.
- 3:52But then I think anything past what Bloomberg said we could
- 3:56label as speculation, but we aren't speculating even without
- 4:00a price floor. But if they do put in a price
- 4:03floor, that's going to be massively, it's recognition.
- 4:08We're going to focus on silver. It's recognition just how
- 4:12critical silver has become. We are living in a whole new
- 4:17world for silver and gold guys in particular for silver with
- 4:21everything that that's going on right now, let's look at a chart
- 4:25that shows us and is calling for $159 per oz silver by year end.
- 4:32And there's something really, really important for us to
- 4:35remember when we look at this chart before we do that.
- 4:38Speaking of silver, if you want to get your hands on some of the
- 4:40freshest silver in town, check out channel sponsor.
- 4:44There it is right there. First mint, first mint.com OK,
- 4:49they are owned by first Majestic silver.
- 4:51They dig the silver up in Mexico.
- 4:54It gets shipped to 1st Mint in Las Vegas, NV where they create
- 4:59unbelievable world class silver bullion products and then it
- 5:03goes straight to you. It literally is the freshest
- 5:06silver on the market from the mine to the mint to you.
- 5:10Oh yeah, we're going to do a comex and an LBMA update later.
- 5:14But when you buy silver from First Mint, it's never touched
- 5:17by the Comex or the LBMA. It really is the freshest silver
- 5:21in town. Again, you can check them out at
- 5:23First mint.com. I'll take you out there for 10
- 5:26seconds to take a look at their website.
- 5:29Here it is right here and check that out.
- 5:32The new year of the horse coin that they have available.
- 5:36It looks absolutely awesome. First mint.com, and there is a
- 5:41discount code you can use as a basement dweller.
- 5:44OK, VI PRB. Now let's go look at this chart
- 5:50that shows us something very, very, very optimistic about what
- 5:54is happening in the silver price right now.
- 5:56This came from a doctor, Doctor Potassium, and I believe he
- 6:02really is a PhD. He says silver back to basic
- 6:05parabolas aside, returning to the major trend line here would
- 6:10still get us to my end of year target of $159 per oz on time on
- 6:16a linear basis. This chart is amazing guys.
- 6:19If the major trend line fails, that's a different story, which
- 6:23it has not and certainly has not after what we're experiencing
- 6:27today. We'll cross that bridge if we
- 6:29come to it. The bull market is still on.
- 6:32Go back to bed you bears and take a look what he pointed out.
- 6:37Really easy to see right? The yellow line is the trend
- 6:41line going all the way back to probably August of last year.
- 6:47And guys that is absolutely, absolutely still in play and
- 6:54what he is looking at as we go through the rest of the year.
- 6:57Because remember, on a chart like this, the time is on the
- 7:00horizontal axis, which of course, oops, hold on here, hold
- 7:05on man, we are full of tech issues today, right here we are
- 7:09right now. This goes all the way through
- 7:12December of this year. And if this trend line
- 7:16continues, that's how he gets us to 159.
- 7:20The important thing to remember look, the volatility in the
- 7:22silver market that we've experienced over the last three
- 7:26years is nothing short of it's, I don't know what's a word to
- 7:29describe something beyond historic right?
- 7:33It, it statistically was impossible what happened on that
- 7:37Friday, January 30th, that crash, that manufactured
- 7:42manipulative price action that was orchestrated speculating
- 7:47here, but probably by some of the people at the futures market
- 7:51or possibly the LBMA. Nonetheless, the volatility that
- 7:55we've experienced has been, has been hair curling to say the
- 7:58least. But the big key thing to
- 8:01remember when we looked at that chart is that the long term,
- 8:05well, going back to what would we say, August of last year, the
- 8:08trend is still in place. But even more important for us
- 8:14to realize in particular as silver investors, volatility is
- 8:18part of the game. Do you remember between 1970 and
- 8:221980 when the silver price went from like $1.50 all the way to
- 8:25$50.00? Do you know that like in 1974,
- 8:29there was a major correction in the silver price, 40 something
- 8:32percent, I think 47%, right, in 1974 and then silver went up by
- 8:38like 10X from there. It's part of the game.
- 8:42Volatility in the silver market is a feature, not a bug.
- 8:50It's part of the process. And again, the same thing
- 8:52happened between 2001 and 2011 when the silver price went from
- 8:57under $5 per oz to about $50 per oz.
- 9:00We had major pull backs very similar to what we just
- 9:05experienced during that period. It feels like it's over.
- 9:09It feels like the rally's over. It's done.
- 9:12Let's take our silver toys and go home, right?
- 9:15It's normal for that to feel that way.
- 9:17That's that creates a new base, a consolidation that allows for
- 9:22the price to go higher. Look, I'm not a financial
- 9:24advisor. I don't have a crystal ball.
- 9:26Always be responsible, OK? Don't make any big decisions.
- 9:30But that's what I believe. And that's what not just, I
- 9:34believe that's what history has shown us, real numbers, real
- 9:40other situations, both of which occurred in the last 50 years.
- 9:45And think about this, when you're talking about silver,
- 9:49it's been around for like what, 4633 years?
- 9:54OK. So 50 years is not that long of
- 9:57a time period within the broad scope of how long silver has
- 10:02been, has been valuable. Next we're going to talk about
- 10:05the Comex. Oh my gosh, did you hear right?
- 10:08The Comex is going to blow up. Is it?
- 10:10Is the, is the Comex going to break the Clomx, the Crimex,
- 10:14some people call it, or are our hearts going to break?
- 10:18But still, there's a big positive take away from all
- 10:21that. Let's say thank you to 1st
- 10:23Mining Gold for sponsoring Ron's Basement.
- 10:25We love gold. We love silver.
- 10:27First Mining Gold is a company that I've been very fond of for
- 10:30many years, long before they sponsored Ron's basements.
- 10:34The stock I've owned for years and years.
- 10:36They're a development stage company with two multi million
- 10:39ounce big big projects in Canada, Spring Pole in Ontario
- 10:44and Du Parquet located in Quebec, each of which separately
- 10:49have millions of Oz of gold in the ground.
- 10:53In Canada that's very rare. There aren't a lot of big, big
- 10:58development stage gold projects in favorable jurisdictions like
- 11:03Canada. A lot of things going on with
- 11:05first mining gold. They're working through the
- 11:07development process could be a catalyst.
- 11:10Rich 2026, always do your own research.
- 11:13Remember, I'm not a financial advisor, but you can learn more
- 11:17about them at firstmininggold.com.
- 11:18Now on to the COMEX. Everybody's clickbait,
- 11:21clickbait. The Comex is going to blow up.
- 11:23The Comex is going to blow up. It's going to break.
- 11:27Or is it our hearts that are going to break?
- 11:29Let's let's examine. Let's just say what the facts
- 11:32are and you can be the judge for yourself.
- 11:35Honza Serenade, one of our favorites, says this COMEX is
- 11:40down to 92 million of registered inventory.
- 11:43Remember, that's the ounces of silver held by the COMEX that
- 11:48are available to satisfy the futures contracts.
- 11:51OK, there's another category called eligible.
- 11:54Those are already claimed. Those are owned by ETS.
- 11:56Other people registered is what matters.
- 11:59The March open interest is now at 285,000,000.
- 12:03He says. Do the math.
- 12:04That's about 193,000,000 more paper than deliverable metal.
- 12:10But guys, I don't want to be Debbie Downer.
- 12:12I don't want to be the bearer of bad news.
- 12:14But trust me, the smartest people in the room are saying
- 12:19that this probably is not going to happen.
- 12:22Anything's possible eventually. Do I think the comex will go
- 12:25bye, bye? Yeah, I do.
- 12:27I don't think that it's I don't think they can keep it up for
- 12:29much longer. But let's go look at what what
- 12:32some of the smart people are saying and I'll explain to you
- 12:35why we should not be anticipating that the Comex is
- 12:41actually going to blow up Ole Hansen says This this chart is
- 12:46dry and Ole's very highly respected.
- 12:50This chart is drawing considerable attention, showing
- 12:53us the SIH 6 open interest Stillwell above the volume of
- 12:59registered Comex. I'll tell you what that is in a
- 13:01second. Held silver available for
- 13:03delivery. So he's basically saying what
- 13:05Hansa just said, right? There's a lot more futures
- 13:09contracts out there then there are actual ounces of silver
- 13:12available to satisfy that demand, he said.
- 13:16With 9 days remaining before the 30 day delivery window opens, he
- 13:21says in yellow. In the coming days, open
- 13:24interest will likely decline sharply through roll activity,
- 13:30which means they move the March contracts to May or outright
- 13:36position closures, meaning people buy out their position
- 13:39basically themselves, sell it, close it, whatever, whatever the
- 13:42case may be. OK, let's look at his chart
- 13:47which shows us this. OK.
- 13:50Eligible is in orange, that's this orange silver up here and
- 13:56over here, right, millions of Oz 600,000,500 million, 400 million
- 14:01registered is in blue. And as you can see right now,
- 14:06OK, that's the present moment down in the lower right corner,
- 14:09yes, the blue, the registered inventory is going down, down,
- 14:13down down to what 93,000,000 I think, right that about right
- 14:18there 93,000,000 somewhere in that range, OK.
- 14:21However, what we need to look at here is the SIK 6 and the SIH 6.
- 14:29This is the May, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 14:33The SSIH 6 is the is the current contract, the March contract, as
- 14:39you can see, right, because of what Hans they talked about roll
- 14:43that it's some of it rolling and some of it being actually closed
- 14:47out. It is going down.
- 14:49But the Gray line represents is the May contract here.
- 14:53I'll circle it right there. OK, as you can see, that is
- 14:57going up. I'll just tell you what the
- 14:59smartest people in the room are saying because look, I'm I'm I'm
- 15:03I'm smart and I follow this stuff closely, but I don't spend
- 15:06endless hours trying to understand the intricate details
- 15:09of the Comex or the LBMA for that matter.
- 15:12But essentially what's going to happen is that Gray line, OK,
- 15:16this Gray line that you can see there, which is the May contract
- 15:19is going to continue to go up while the black line, the March
- 15:24contract will continue to go down.
- 15:26And it is very likely, OK, very, very likely that we are not
- 15:31going to see the Comex break. I know it seems you can look at
- 15:34these numbers right now and say, oh, it's going to break and it
- 15:37could happen. No, I look and I'm I'm not going
- 15:40to be I'm not going to be sad if it happens, no doubt about it.
- 15:43But, but very most likely it's going to all work out.
- 15:47They'll work, they'll work their paper games, they'll kick the
- 15:50can down the road a little bit further and you know, we'll go
- 15:55to. But the reality is the, the
- 15:57despite all that, the, the silver market is in a whole new
- 16:02world. The whole new operating system
- 16:05has been installed and that operating system is called
- 16:08physical demand. And here's a little something
- 16:10real simple to see that shows us in a new way to look at
- 16:15something that we've looked at before, but shows us in no
- 16:18uncertain terms that we are still in good shape when it
- 16:22comes to silver. Five straight years of silver
- 16:26deficits. This is interesting.
- 16:28I didn't realize this. Five straight years we've had a
- 16:31silver deficit, 773,000,000 ounces in deficit.
- 16:37When you add it all up, when you aggregate it or you get the
- 16:40cumulative #773,000,000 ounces in deficit since 2021.
- 16:47That's nearly one full year of global mine supply erased,
- 16:54right? Because the the whole world
- 16:56produces only about 800 million ounces of silver per year.
- 17:01And this was a chart put out by Silver Elephant mining.
- 17:04Just a little bit different way to look at it when you see it in
- 17:07a list format like that. Red, red, red, red, red, red.
- 17:10So again, since 2021, so we are now in the fifth year of
- 17:14deficit, more proof that we're OK when it comes to silver.
- 17:18But there's some scary stuff going on in the world.
- 17:20You know, silver and gold are safe haven assets.
- 17:25They thrive on uncertainty, right?
- 17:27They've been around for 5000 years.
- 17:29They've had everything, including the kitchen sink,
- 17:32probably many kitchen sinks thrown at them.
- 17:36They've seen every form of Fiat money come and go.
- 17:38They've seen it all. Silver and gold have survived no
- 17:41problemo. But there is some potential big
- 17:44uncertainty. And I'm going to put this under
- 17:46the category of speculation. And I never like to see war.
- 17:50I don't like war. But you know, there's a lot of
- 17:53uncertainty in our world right now.
- 17:54And this came out this morning, which is a little bit scary.
- 17:58OK Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on.
- 18:01We'll come back to that. Wow.
- 18:03We got more to talk about about silver.
- 18:06I forgot more good news about silver.
- 18:07But first, this Eric Young, who's super respected, super
- 18:12reliable, put this out. What is going on, Question mark?
- 18:17And this was a tweet from the war monitor.
- 18:20They said just insane. Well, they said this 1st 25
- 18:24tankers are now seeing airborne carrying US assets to Europe.
- 18:29Excuse me, in the Middle East, just a huge airlift is going as
- 18:34ongoing, blah, blah, blah, blah, OK.
- 18:36And then he updated it saying just insane.
- 18:40Five more tankers have launched in the past hour.
- 18:43Can't emphasize enough how big this airlift is.
- 18:47And some people speculate that when these, and they track all
- 18:51these these things, excuse me, sorry about that, they track all
- 18:58these things. And when these big airlifts are
- 19:00going on, they, you know, sometimes that's a precursor
- 19:04that there may be some major world events that are going to
- 19:08occur. Again, gold and silver safe
- 19:10haven assets. But there's even more reason for
- 19:13us, more data that tells us silver in particular has a very
- 19:19optimistic runway ahead. And the reason is this.
- 19:22Let's check this one out from Hanza again.
- 19:26Silver isn't overcrowded, right? You hear that?
- 19:28Oh, silver is in a bubble. Silver.
- 19:30No, it was a physical driven rally that didn't have a bit of
- 19:33a little bubblicious type activity there for about four
- 19:37weeks. But silver is not in a in a
- 19:39rally and I'm sorry, in a bubble.
- 19:42It's in a rally. It's bare, also barely owned
- 19:46according to the In Gold We Trust report by Ronnie Stoferly.
- 19:51That's the man right there. Only .03% of global wealth is
- 19:59allocated to silver today. Back in 2011, OK, back in 2011
- 20:06when silver was less, that was actually point O 6.
- 20:10And if my mathematical skills are correct, to get to from
- 20:13point O3 to point O 6, we would need nearly a double right in
- 20:19the, in the silver price basically at this point to make
- 20:22that point O 6. If the silver price doubled,
- 20:27right, if silver went to 160 an ounce, well, then we'd be back
- 20:30at the 2011. And guess what?
- 20:33There's nothing saying when we look at all these ratios, the
- 20:35gold to silver ratio, the amount of world wealth that's invested
- 20:39in silver, There's nothing saying that they can't go higher
- 20:43than what these previous highs had been.
- 20:46All right, guys, look, we got a lot of great stuff that's going
- 20:49to happen in the world of gold and silver.
- 20:52I want to say thank you to a company that supports Ron's
- 20:59basement. Don't forget dirty man safe.
- 21:02If you're looking for a way to store things in the ground like
- 21:04the pirates did are right, check out dirty man safe.
- 21:08It's these things they open up at the bottom, super robust.
- 21:12You put whatever you want in there like, I don't know,
- 21:14something metal valuable that you may own.
- 21:18They seal up. There's they're really when when
- 21:20they first sent this to me, I was like, wow, this is cool.
- 21:23OK, it's dirty man safe and there's a discount code.
- 21:27Before I forget, run 10. OK, if there's always 1 hanging,
- 21:32where is it? Right there about first mining
- 21:33gold as well. But you can check them out at
- 21:36their website, dirtymansafe.com. You get to bury stuff in your
- 21:40yard. Look, a safety deposit box is
- 21:43great as fireproof safe is great.
- 21:46But you can also diversify and keep things in the ground
- 21:49because let's just say that burying things in the ground has
- 21:53been the time proven way to protect valuables.
- 21:56Just ask any pirate who's been around for 800 years, They'll
- 22:00tell you, maybe they'll tell you where they got a little bit of
- 22:02that treasure buried as well. All right, guys, thank you for
- 22:05joining me today. All right, please subscribe to
- 22:07the channel. I forgot to ask you that.
- 22:09That means a lot to me. And upstairs, Susie.
- 22:13Oh, and thank you. Hey.
- 22:14And please, you know who this is?
- 22:17That's my wife upstairs Susie. I wouldn't be here without her.
- 22:21Happy belated Valentine's Day. But she also just informed me
- 22:25that we have a super chat. So let's go out and check that
- 22:28out. Super chats are always super
- 22:30appreciated. Never expected.
- 22:32Hey, renegade designer man, you are consistently very, very
- 22:37generous. On behalf of myself, Susie,
- 22:39thank you. OK, we're actually going to head
- 22:42out to lunch and maybe I'll buy her a Diet Coke with that.
- 22:45So thank you. No, seriously guys, thanks for
- 22:49being part of this community. We love to get here.
- 22:52We call ourselves basement dwellers.
- 22:54I'll be back tomorrow. Let's let's hope for continued,
- 22:59right? We don't need to hope long term,
- 23:01but short term, we can hope for continued strength in the
