- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Scrub dub dub and the tub tub tub. Wow. I
- 0:20Speaker 3: didn't hit record, but now I am. Wow, that would
- 0:23Speaker 3: have been crazy crazy. She's a wife, I'm a wife.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Raise your hand if you're married, raise your hand if
- 0:32Speaker 3: you're married. Wow.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I mean, where do we begin? I don't even know
- 0:40Speaker 2: where to begin. There's so much to touch on. How
- 0:43Speaker 2: are you feeling like?
- 0:44Speaker 3: We're like coming back.
- 0:47Speaker 2: From the wedding, which was obviously like a lot in
- 0:50Speaker 2: terms of the planning and everything. Yeah, with the excitement
- 0:54Speaker 2: of getting.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Married, Yes, the build up for years, Yes.
- 0:57Speaker 4: It happens, and it was incredible.
- 1:02Speaker 5: It was literally more than I'd ever expected. It was
- 1:07Speaker 5: everything I wanted times a million. But the after is
- 1:12Speaker 5: so crazy, Like I definitely should not have come to
- 1:16Speaker 5: work this week.
- 1:17Speaker 6: I've been like, I disagree.
- 1:19Speaker 5: I have been so unwell the last two days, Like
- 1:23Speaker 5: I have been like not feeling good.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I've been so run down.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I feel like like you know when you're on your
- 1:28Speaker 5: period and you feel like somebody came and suck the
- 1:30Speaker 5: life out of you.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I feel like that I mean, yeah, I literally can't
- 1:35Speaker 2: imagine because I felt like that I did not exit
- 1:37Speaker 2: my bed yesterday.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I was so exhausted.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was like thinking about you being at
- 1:43Speaker 2: work and also like why did she go to work with?
- 1:46Speaker 5: And insight any bride out there that's listening, definitely take
- 1:50Speaker 5: a few days after your wedding.
- 1:52Speaker 6: I'm so happy you came in. You're the best, Like
- 1:55Speaker 6: that's that's what makes you Tanya. Is that kind of magic?
- 1:59Speaker 3: Insanity great?
- 2:00Speaker 5: It's like literally insane that I like went back to
- 2:03Speaker 5: work the next day.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But also just.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Because like I felt like my body was on fight
- 2:09Speaker 5: or flight mode for four full days, do you.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Know what I mean?
- 2:11Speaker 5: Like the minute we got to Mexico. The first day
- 2:14Speaker 5: was a kind of chill, but then the next day
- 2:16Speaker 5: it was just like full on and the people started arriving,
- 2:18Speaker 5: and then you're on. Then you're on, you're on, You're on,
- 2:20Speaker 5: and it's like this crazy high. And then I think
- 2:24Speaker 5: that your body just like lets it all go, like
- 2:27Speaker 5: it just like crashes. But I also wasn't sleeping, Like
- 2:30Speaker 5: I didn't sleep because I was so excited, so like
- 2:32Speaker 5: I barely slept, So I'm like not sleeping I'm on
- 2:35Speaker 5: this like crazy adrenaline rush and then like it all
- 2:37Speaker 5: just hits you and it's like crazy.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's not sleeping, Yeah, it's stress. It's not
- 2:44Speaker 3: eating much.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 5: The day of my wedding, we were like in the
- 2:47Speaker 5: middle of the horror and I was like, if I
- 2:49Speaker 5: don't eat something, I'm I'm literally going to pass out
- 2:51Speaker 5: on the dance floor. Like and I was like, I
- 2:52Speaker 5: was like, everybody needs to stop talking to me, and
- 2:54Speaker 5: I need to eat for ten minutes, Like seriously.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It was fun.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Well, we're jumping ahead, we're jumping ahead. Let's start from
- 3:02Speaker 2: the beginning. So we flew to Mexico on Tuesday.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Yes, Becca flew with my husband and I, oh how
- 3:10Speaker 5: many times many times?
- 3:11Speaker 3: Am I gonna say husband this podcast, who was then
- 3:14Speaker 3: just a mere fiance?
- 3:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, I flew because I wanted to help
- 3:20Speaker 2: with like dressing, you know, any of the stuff that
- 3:22Speaker 2: you need to help with.
- 3:23Speaker 5: I have to say, you coming out there the day
- 3:27Speaker 5: that you did with us was the best gift you
- 3:29Speaker 5: could have ever given me.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I was telling Haley.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I was like, I was so it was so special,
- 3:35Speaker 2: even like obviously anytime I have Hailey with me I
- 3:39Speaker 2: love it, But it was so specifically special getting to
- 3:42Speaker 2: have that time with both of you guys, like into
- 3:44Speaker 2: like just to myself because I knew as soon as
- 3:46Speaker 2: everyone got there, you're like mingling with everyone, so I
- 3:51Speaker 2: wasn't gonna have your full attention, And it was so
- 3:53Speaker 2: fun getting to like be there for those moments leading
- 3:56Speaker 2: up too.
- 3:56Speaker 5: It really was like the best gift you could have
- 3:59Speaker 5: given us, Like I and like you were there and
- 4:02Speaker 5: I like needed you there, like obviously I it's I
- 4:07Speaker 5: would have been perfectly fine if it was just Robbie
- 4:09Speaker 5: and I because he does all those things for me too,
- 4:11Speaker 5: But like it was so nice having like somebody there,
- 4:15Speaker 5: but also like you you know exactly like when to
- 4:18Speaker 5: give us space, and like you weren't you know what
- 4:20Speaker 5: I mean, Like we weren't together the whole time, like
- 4:22Speaker 5: you would just go to your room chill for a
- 4:23Speaker 5: little bit meet up. Like it was just the perfect
- 4:26Speaker 5: amount of being there but like not being like always there.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. It was very weird, but it
- 4:34Speaker 3: was the best.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Like I highly recommend that if anybody's getting married and
- 4:39Speaker 5: they're doing a destination, like have your best friend go
- 4:41Speaker 5: out there the day or two before with you, because
- 4:44Speaker 5: it was the best, Like you helped keep me calm,
- 4:48Speaker 5: like all the things, what do we need to do?
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it was fun, I think going also as a bride,
- 4:54Speaker 2: even just getting to your destination early on and getting settled,
- 4:58Speaker 2: because like once people started coming next day.
- 5:00Speaker 3: It was plan yeah, yeah, take off time. Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 4: So everyone starts coming, people start arriving.
- 5:08Speaker 3: You gave me a look like here we go. Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 4: But Wednesday night was pretty chill too. It was just
- 5:14Speaker 4: like family, so that arrived.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Yeah, for the most part, there were like one like
- 5:18Speaker 5: maybe like one set of friends, and.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Then Thursday came. First of all, I was staying like
- 5:23Speaker 2: so far away.
- 5:24Speaker 3: My room was so far away.
- 5:26Speaker 2: From Tanya, and we had tried to switch it because
- 5:28Speaker 2: we were like, oh, like you know, she texted her
- 5:30Speaker 2: person was like, oh cut we I want my mate
- 5:32Speaker 2: of honor closer, and I was like, I'm so far away,
- 5:35Speaker 2: but they weren't able to move us. And so I
- 5:37Speaker 2: got like ten thousand steps the day of the welcome party,
- 5:40Speaker 2: just going back and forth, roaming around, going and doing
- 5:44Speaker 2: I was like, dang, I hit my step goal today.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And there's documentation of me saying this on the podcast
- 5:52Speaker 2: that I was not going to drink that night, but
- 5:57Speaker 2: I had my speech, right, everyone of their speech is
- 6:00Speaker 2: the first night.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Nobody can do that sober? Yeah, many people can, but
- 6:05Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I was like, I was like relatively sober when I
- 6:10Speaker 2: gave a speech, and then once that was done, I
- 6:15Speaker 2: I really exceeded my one drink, one shot limit that
- 6:19Speaker 2: I had given myself on the podcast.
- 6:20Speaker 6: It was a lot of drinking that first night, a
- 6:23Speaker 6: lot a lot, Like people were very drunk, very quickly,
- 6:27Speaker 6: because I'm very noticed when people get drunk, and like
- 6:30Speaker 6: I was saying, oh, hi, nice to see you, Like
- 6:32Speaker 6: they just got here and they're already a little bit off.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Was that one of those no, no, no, yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 2: When I saw you all first, I don't think I
- 6:40Speaker 2: was there yet, But I have to say, because everyone
- 6:43Speaker 2: keeps asking like how was Tanya, Like was she bride chilla?
- 6:46Speaker 3: What was her vibe?
- 6:48Speaker 2: Tanya was literally the most calm I've ever seen her,
- 6:52Speaker 2: And I was like, either internally there's just like shotspiring
- 6:57Speaker 2: left and right, and it's just subdued on the outside.
- 7:00Speaker 2: But I was saying, how when you see a bride
- 7:03Speaker 2: that calm and relax, It's it makes you feel like, wow,
- 7:06Speaker 2: like this is the right Not that I doubted that
- 7:09Speaker 2: you were doing the right thing, but it's almost like confirmation.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Like while she's so at peace and like even with
- 7:13Speaker 2: all the people coming in and there's so much going
- 7:15Speaker 2: on that's still happening, there was this like calmness to you.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I felt calm. Yeah, Like I was shocked at how
- 7:23Speaker 5: calm I was.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I was like, did you garden? Like what?
- 7:26Speaker 5: Like, yeah, I honestly I didn't, but like I felt
- 7:30Speaker 5: like I like took some sort of like chill pill
- 7:33Speaker 5: or something. Yeah, especially the welcome party because it was
- 7:37Speaker 5: like a little chaotic. I was like getting ready a
- 7:39Speaker 5: little bit to the last minute, which I don't.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Enjoy doing it. Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 5: So I didn't even get to look at a mirror
- 7:44Speaker 5: before I left to go see everybody. I hadn't even
- 7:47Speaker 5: looked at myself in a mirror. It was literally like
- 7:50Speaker 5: putting my makeup on, put my they put my dress
- 7:52Speaker 5: on for me, and I didn't even look take photos
- 7:55Speaker 5: and then like out the door.
- 7:56Speaker 3: So I was like, can someone do I look? Okay,
- 8:01Speaker 3: what's going on? How do I look here?
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:03Speaker 4: You didn't need to look in the mirror. You looked amazing.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and so we we had the rehearsal before we
- 8:08Speaker 2: had the welcome party, and it was so sweet because
- 8:14Speaker 2: Tanya even just like coming down the steps with her
- 8:17Speaker 2: dad at the rehearsal, like there was already waterworks and
- 8:21Speaker 2: she would like lean her head back as to not
- 8:23Speaker 2: mess up her makeup, and she was like rushing her
- 8:25Speaker 2: dad because she didn't want to cry. She's like, Dad,
- 8:27Speaker 2: come on, I'm like Tanya, just soak it in and
- 8:29Speaker 2: she's like, I don't want to cry. Before the party, Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I was like walk faster, dad, like dracking him down.
- 8:38Speaker 2: So I'm curious what where like when you got to
- 8:42Speaker 2: the welcome party, what that felt like seeing because like
- 8:44Speaker 2: that was the first time where you got to kind
- 8:45Speaker 2: of see everybody arrive.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:47Speaker 5: That's like the most i think overwhelming part of the
- 8:51Speaker 5: weekend because everybody's there to see you, right, so, like
- 8:55Speaker 5: everybody's there for you. Yeah, so you want to make
- 8:57Speaker 5: sure that you're giving saying hi to everybody, buddy, spending
- 9:02Speaker 5: time with everybody. You also don't want to be so
- 9:04Speaker 5: rude and like not engage so much with people, But
- 9:07Speaker 5: you also don't want to engage with someone too long
- 9:09Speaker 5: because you want to like see everybody. Yeah, and then
- 9:12Speaker 5: you don't want to rob and I didn't want to
- 9:14Speaker 5: leave each other's side. We wanted to like try and
- 9:16Speaker 5: do everything together, which is a fail.
- 9:18Speaker 3: But we did a pretty good job. Like we did.
- 9:20Speaker 5: That's eighty percent of the time we were like together.
- 9:24Speaker 5: But that first night was I think the most overwhelming
- 9:26Speaker 5: because I felt like that was like my first time
- 9:28Speaker 5: seeing so many people. So I wanted to like hug
- 9:31Speaker 5: everybody and like express my gratitude.
- 9:34Speaker 3: But it's like one hundred people. Yeah, it's a lot
- 9:36Speaker 3: of people.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was. The setup was so beautiful. It
- 9:40Speaker 2: was on the sand. There were our tables were on
- 9:42Speaker 2: the sand. There was a Mariachu band playing.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Was it sinky sand or was it like hard sand?
- 9:48Speaker 3: I couldn't.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I've tried your heels for a second, and they went straight.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Through these My little little tiny, like pointy heel I said,
- 9:56Speaker 5: if you have like a thicker heel on, I.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Think people who had a thick keel on were fine.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I did not have that, so I just went barefoot.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I ended up going barefoot too, which.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Is great for my later on my later on actions.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Barefoot was best.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 2: So then we got into speeches, and I requested to
- 10:16Speaker 2: go early on because I didn't want to go at
- 10:20Speaker 2: the end too much pressure. I get really anxious when
- 10:23Speaker 2: I speak in front of people if I'm reading something,
- 10:26Speaker 2: and I felt like, even though I could have I
- 10:28Speaker 2: can wing things and it could be good. I had
- 10:30Speaker 2: already done that for your bridal shower, So I felt
- 10:32Speaker 2: like it was important for me to like have intention
- 10:35Speaker 2: behind what I was saying.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, your speech was so good. Oh, thank you. I
- 10:40Speaker 3: don't I blocked, I just I just got it was
- 10:43Speaker 3: a Taylor.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Swift quote they quote in there good friends.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I saw Robbie crying. I was like, okay, I've done
- 10:54Speaker 2: my job here. My job here is done.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Well, we skipped a couple I don't want to, you know,
- 11:00Speaker 6: I'll give short shrift to some of these speeches because
- 11:02Speaker 6: Robbie's son was the first speech, and that was yeah powerful.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Well, so I did not want to follow him. I
- 11:08Speaker 2: was very stressed about following March.
- 11:10Speaker 3: He wanted to go first. He was like, can I
- 11:12Speaker 3: go first?
- 11:12Speaker 6: He should have gone last because he was probably the best,
- 11:14Speaker 6: but I mean he was really good. Yeah, yeah, it
- 11:17Speaker 6: was really really moving.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Oh he had to say, you know what's interesting what
- 11:21Speaker 5: I heard a lot from this weekend, different guests that
- 11:25Speaker 5: come up to me that came from divorced families.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Our whole wedding was like very healing to a.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Lot of people that grew up in like divorced, bad
- 11:34Speaker 5: divorce situations. I don't know, parent situations. Yeah, like it
- 11:38Speaker 5: was very healing. Like I had like two guests in
- 11:41Speaker 5: particular come up to me saying how they wished that
- 11:44Speaker 5: their step parent was like that they had what Robby
- 11:48Speaker 5: and I have in our like family dynamic and it's weird. Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 5: I felt like it was like very healing for people.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I don't have that, and it was healing for me.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't come from from a stepparent situation.
- 12:01Speaker 3: And I was like this is just but yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Like so he spoke at our at our bridal dinner, right,
- 12:11Speaker 5: and this was like off the cuff. Everybody was just
- 12:13Speaker 5: kind of like popcorn giving speeches and he was like
- 12:15Speaker 5: I want to say something. We were like what, like
- 12:18Speaker 5: you're ten and it was like so crazy. He did
- 12:21Speaker 5: such a good job and everybody was like blown away.
- 12:23Speaker 5: And so then he asked us, He's like, can I
- 12:25Speaker 5: give a speech at the wedding. We were like sure,
- 12:28Speaker 5: you know, like we didn't want to put that pressure
- 12:30Speaker 5: on either one of them. And so yeah, he like
- 12:34Speaker 5: wrote it. He had like three paragraphs and he just
- 12:36Speaker 5: delivered it. Yeah, just no fear.
- 12:40Speaker 3: It was so impressive and people.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Kept clapping and He's like, I'm not done yet, I'm
- 12:43Speaker 5: not done.
- 12:45Speaker 3: So cute. Yeah, it was really cute.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Robbie's dad we got to talk about. Yeah, he talked
- 12:50Speaker 6: about listening to the morning show and yes, and learning
- 12:54Speaker 6: about your cycle. Yes, and whether he's a backer or
- 12:57Speaker 6: a Tanya. Yes, very very He was great. And what
- 13:02Speaker 6: really impressed me about him he had nothing written down.
- 13:04Speaker 6: That was all off the top of anatomy. Maybe he
- 13:06Speaker 6: memorized or thought us with things today, but he was
- 13:09Speaker 6: so funny. Yeah, without any kind of notes or anything.
- 13:13Speaker 5: I agree, I was. I was very taken aback by his.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Speech. I did not expect it to be that funny.
- 13:21Speaker 6: It was really funny.
- 13:22Speaker 2: It was like one there was like one liner after
- 13:24Speaker 2: the next. Oh my god, was listening to him. I
- 13:29Speaker 2: was like, we're getting scrubbing in shout ouse.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, this is wild, every kind of shout out. Yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 3: the cycles.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Robbie told me that his dad wanted to like clear
- 13:40Speaker 5: two of the jokes with him to make sure that
- 13:43Speaker 5: they were okay, and the cycle joke was one of them.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Your cycle is a huge part of our community because
- 13:50Speaker 2: like the amount of questions that I got my question
- 13:53Speaker 2: box about your period.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I was like, this is so funny. We'll get to that. Yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 3: obviously we'll get to that. We will get to that.
- 14:00Speaker 3: But yeah, it was really great.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Like all of Robbie's groomsman got up and gave like
- 14:04Speaker 2: like many speeches together, and Pauline and Raquel.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Pauline got me. At the end of her speech, he said,
- 14:12Speaker 6: t you did it right. That one got me.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah, hers was very emotional. Ryan was like sobbing at Paulina's.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Pauline's really got Ryan.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Good.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I was shocked.
- 14:26Speaker 6: I mean, we'll get to that, but shout out to
- 14:28Speaker 6: Ryan just from the beginning, just Ryan really came through
- 14:32Speaker 6: this weekend. Yeah, phenomenal.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and you kind of forget until you watch other
- 14:37Speaker 2: people's reaction to him how huge of a deal he is. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 2: Like when he came for the rehearsal and everyone is
- 14:45Speaker 2: trying to act like cool and chill, and He's like trying.
- 14:49Speaker 3: To be normal, but like no one's acting. It's just
- 14:51Speaker 3: such a you know what.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I also want to commend, like I feel like nobody
- 14:56Speaker 5: really treated him so different then, you know what I mean,
- 15:01Speaker 5: Like there wasn't like a line of selfies. There wasn't
- 15:04Speaker 5: like you know what I mean, Like he was kind
- 15:06Speaker 5: of like just one of the one of the crew.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just that.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Feeling that you you feel it if you know it,
- 15:13Speaker 2: where you can tell people are.
- 15:15Speaker 6: Yeah, people differently when there's a celebrity in the room.
- 15:18Speaker 4: But once he settled in, Yes, it felt like he
- 15:21Speaker 4: was settled in.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But like nobody wanted to sit at our table with
- 15:24Speaker 3: us and him.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Like I was like, why is by himself? Food?
- 15:29Speaker 3: I was like, why isn't anybody else gonna sit here?
- 15:32Speaker 2: Well, I think that that when it's your table, it's like, oh,
- 15:36Speaker 2: his family sit I think there's kind of there.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I think that was a hesitancy more than it was Ryan.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, I didn't know because we didn't have tables,
- 15:43Speaker 5: we didn't have assigned seats. The first night, it was
- 15:46Speaker 5: just kind of like first comfort serve, wherever you want
- 15:48Speaker 5: to sit. Yeah, but yeah, I guess that was like
- 15:50Speaker 5: the prime table, right.
- 15:52Speaker 2: And you never know, like he's a fan who's sitting
- 15:54Speaker 2: there right right, right right. I don't think it was right, Okay,
- 15:57Speaker 2: not that Ryan's on a huge deal. I'm just saying
- 16:00Speaker 2: I think that was more like being respectful.
- 16:03Speaker 5: But yeah, So like the speeches, and our whole thing
- 16:06Speaker 5: was we wanted the speeches the night before because we
- 16:08Speaker 5: didn't want we just want to party the next night.
- 16:11Speaker 3: We didn't want speeches at the actual reception, so we.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Did them all the night before. And I think it
- 16:20Speaker 5: was okay in terms of length.
- 16:22Speaker 6: Oh great, yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 6: By the way, I don't have a single complaint from
- 16:25Speaker 6: that entire weekend, whether it's sifty sand or hard sand
- 16:28Speaker 6: or the length of the speeches. I have zero complaints
- 16:31Speaker 6: from touchdown to take off.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Wow, that is nice. It was perfect, Like it was.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It was it.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I'm so happy it exceeded your expectations because I was like,
- 16:41Speaker 2: this is there's so much hype around this weekend and
- 16:44Speaker 2: like it's a destination and you can't predict things and
- 16:47Speaker 2: how things are going to go or how everyone's going
- 16:49Speaker 2: to interact, right, and it was it exceeded every expectation
- 16:53Speaker 2: that I had.
- 16:54Speaker 3: It was just so fun and everyone was so happy
- 16:57Speaker 3: for you guys and like, Okay.
- 16:58Speaker 5: So so after this, which is we had this plan
- 17:00Speaker 5: where we were going to like do the fireworks, but
- 17:03Speaker 5: they planned it for like a specific time, and the
- 17:05Speaker 5: speeches ended earlier than the time, so they were like,
- 17:07Speaker 5: can you vamp for thirty minutes?
- 17:09Speaker 3: And I'm like, maybe I.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Can, like sing my I have a husband, And I
- 17:14Speaker 5: was like going to maybe like do a little performance
- 17:16Speaker 5: and like sing that, and then she was like, okay,
- 17:19Speaker 5: actually it's ten minutes. So I was like okay, okay,
- 17:21Speaker 5: and so the whole thing was like Rob and I
- 17:23Speaker 5: were gonna give a toast and then it was gonna
- 17:24Speaker 5: like the fireworks go off. I think at that point
- 17:27Speaker 5: I was like kind of drunk. Oh really yeah, tipsy, Yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 5: could you tell?
- 17:32Speaker 6: I could tell very dru.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I was really yes, Yeah, I didn't.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Even know you had to dream because you were three sheets.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 2: No, I didn't go three sheets till we'll talk about
- 17:46Speaker 2: my three sheets.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But I didn't. I didn't go there till after my
- 17:49Speaker 3: speech because I was like, yeah, this was after all
- 17:52Speaker 3: the speeches, but.
- 17:54Speaker 6: I'm a little drunk.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, oh you did say that.
- 17:58Speaker 5: I remember, Yeah, I was a little drunk at that point,
- 18:02Speaker 5: but that was pretty cool. Like I like, I was like,
- 18:05Speaker 5: I knew the fireworks wouldn't be cool, but like some
- 18:07Speaker 5: people were so excited about the fireworks.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Well, yeah, when you go like five four three two
- 18:13Speaker 2: one in a fireworks launch over the ocean, it's pretty epic.
- 18:16Speaker 3: So we wanted them for this reception. Is it time
- 18:20Speaker 3: to take a break?
- 18:21Speaker 6: A fact?
- 18:22Speaker 3: Who a real cliffhanger.
- 18:29Speaker 2: We'll be right back, all right, that banger of a cliffhanger.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You were going to do the fireworks for the reception.
- 18:54Speaker 5: We were going to do them for the reception for
- 18:56Speaker 5: the wedding day, but because they go off on the beach,
- 19:00Speaker 5: we were like, maybe we do it for the welcome
- 19:02Speaker 5: party to make it be like the kickoff.
- 19:04Speaker 3: And I was like, great idea, babe. That was great.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it made more sense since we were on
- 19:10Speaker 2: the beach. Yeah, because the reception was not in the.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Garden, the fireworks would have been like not right there. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 5: we were right there.
- 19:18Speaker 6: It was so cool.
- 19:19Speaker 7: It was like Disneyland level, like there was like giant
- 19:22Speaker 7: ones or and it went on for a while.
- 19:24Speaker 6: It was a great show.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Sixty seconds to be exact.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Yeah, you pay for the minute.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you can do.
- 19:32Speaker 5: You pay per minutes, so you can do sixty seconds,
- 19:35Speaker 5: ninety seconds, and then there's like one other.
- 19:37Speaker 6: That's good to know because I felt sixty seconds was adequate.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean more than six no, no, no, I
- 19:42Speaker 5: was like, maybe spring for the three minute sessions.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I would have done in three minutes. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 19:51Speaker 3: it's good. It goes a good call.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it was perfect. It was so fun.
- 19:55Speaker 3: That's when stuff started getting weird. Oh weird.
- 19:58Speaker 5: Yeah, but like people started getting very drunk after the fireworks.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I feel how we were like, oh, you know, people
- 20:04Speaker 2: go so hard on the first night. Like I specifically
- 20:08Speaker 2: was like, I'm not going to do that. Like, if anything,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I might just wait until the wedding to drink m M.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And Robbie too.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Robbie was, oh my gosh, I maybe had at least
- 20:26Speaker 2: eight tequila shots.
- 20:27Speaker 5: I also felt like there wasn't like Robbie's guests and
- 20:30Speaker 5: Tanya's guest It felt very much like it was all
- 20:33Speaker 5: just one big guest fest.
- 20:35Speaker 2: It was a guest fest. Yeah, and I celebrated. I
- 20:40Speaker 2: was just celebrating. I took a shot for every person
- 20:43Speaker 2: who was there. No, I'm just kidding, Bet it was.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It was excessive and I didn't eat because I was
- 20:48Speaker 2: nervous about my speech.
- 20:49Speaker 3: So I and I had walked ten thousand steps that day,
- 20:53Speaker 3: so you were tired. I literally dehydrated.
- 20:55Speaker 2: All the things. It was bad, bad combo. So but
- 20:59Speaker 2: I I had a great time, Like I had so
- 21:02Speaker 2: much fun.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I can't remember what time we'd shut down that dinner.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I think we had it till ten. I think we
- 21:10Speaker 3: went till ten thirty.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Then everybody wanted to like after party, so they went
- 21:15Speaker 5: to the bar next door.
- 21:18Speaker 4: This is where things really took a turn for me.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I think, yeah, this is where things are taking a turn,
- 21:23Speaker 5: because everybody shot for the groom.
- 21:26Speaker 3: And I'm like, no, the groom needs to wake up tomorrow.
- 21:29Speaker 5: So then like people kept like Michael kept taking Robbie's shot,
- 21:32Speaker 5: like taking them himself, and I was like, yeah, but
- 21:35Speaker 5: that was very much appreciative because I was like, he
- 21:38Speaker 5: was so drunk that like one or two more shots
- 21:41Speaker 5: would have dub him in. Like he was like a
- 21:43Speaker 5: good drunk, like you know, didn't get sick anything.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm glad someone. I'm glad Michael took the
- 21:48Speaker 2: took one for the team. Yah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because
- 21:51Speaker 2: that wouldn't have been good. Robbie seemed to find the
- 21:54Speaker 2: next day he was fine, totally fine. Yeah you However, I, however,
- 22:02Speaker 2: I have never been so sick waking up in my
- 22:05Speaker 2: entire I could knock get off the bathroom floor. The
- 22:07Speaker 2: next morning, I was like, I cannot stand up. I
- 22:11Speaker 2: felt like I was gonna throw up anytime I stood up.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I was like, Haley, I don't know what I'm gonna do.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I'm texting contiers, like do y'all have an IV service?
- 22:17Speaker 2: And then I'm like it's gonna take too long. I'm like,
- 22:20Speaker 2: I gotta be at Tanya's to get ready. Haley goes,
- 22:22Speaker 2: why don't you just tell her you're not feeling well
- 22:24Speaker 2: and just tell her you'll.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Be there for the wedding.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I go to work, I'll just be getting ready and
- 22:31Speaker 2: then we have photos all day until the wedding.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Yeah. So I was like, I just I just have
- 22:37Speaker 3: to go.
- 22:37Speaker 2: So I'm I'm gonna get I packed my little bag
- 22:40Speaker 2: of all my stuff and I'm hunched over walking to
- 22:43Speaker 2: the golf cart.
- 22:44Speaker 3: He's driving me.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I'm like spinning in the golf cart. I get to
- 22:47Speaker 2: your room, I'm like, hey, go straight back to your bathroom,
- 22:50Speaker 2: lay on the ground. Robbie comes back, He's like, are
- 22:53Speaker 2: you okay? And I'm like no, I literally can't stand up.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm gonna do. So I go
- 22:57Speaker 2: and sit down at the window because I was like,
- 23:00Speaker 2: I can't stand to do my makeup, so I'm just
- 23:01Speaker 2: gonna like prop my phone up and act like oh, I.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Want to be in the room with everyone, and I'm
- 23:06Speaker 3: doing it.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Midway through getting ready, I get up, go and throw
- 23:09Speaker 2: up in the bathroom.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I never say a single thing to Tanya. She's like, hey,
- 23:15Speaker 2: do you have blah blah blah? Do you have the playlist?
- 23:17Speaker 3: I'm like yeah, yeah. I'm like she cannot know and
- 23:22Speaker 3: I did not know. Yeah, I just power powered through.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I found out yesterday it was.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Self induced, so it wasn't like, oh, everyone's trying to
- 23:31Speaker 2: be like I think you got food poisoning.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I was like, no, you guys, this is called shots.
- 23:39Speaker 2: No.
- 23:39Speaker 3: So all day I would like have to take breaks
- 23:41Speaker 3: and sit down.
- 23:42Speaker 2: And the photographer had is zofran, which is like a
- 23:45Speaker 2: prescribed like for nausea, so that like saved me. But
- 23:48Speaker 2: like I was like nibbling on bread like I could not.
- 23:52Speaker 2: I was just like sucking down electrolytes as much as
- 23:55Speaker 2: I could, Like I all threw.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Up the day. I'd be like, I just need to
- 23:58Speaker 3: sit down.
- 24:00Speaker 5: I literally had no idea, Like you put on a
- 24:04Speaker 5: A plus acting.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Wow, thank you, well, thank you.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I don't know if I should be applauded. I should
- 24:08Speaker 2: have never put myself in this position. But yeah, I
- 24:13Speaker 2: did the opposite of what I said I was gonna do.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Like in hindsight, I could maybe now see that you
- 24:19Speaker 3: were like a hair off, just.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Quiet, a little quieter than usual. But I had no
- 24:26Speaker 5: idea you were on the bathroom floor. I had no
- 24:27Speaker 5: idea you threw up.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Did you drink it all on Friday? No, even
- 24:32Speaker 3: the wedding, even the reception, Nope, not once of alcohol? Nope.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Why you didn't even know?
- 24:41Speaker 3: I didn't know. I didn't know. You asked me to
- 24:45Speaker 3: go get shots for us. I had them pour me water.
- 24:50Speaker 3: They had like a full performance, as if I had
- 24:52Speaker 3: taken a Wow.
- 24:55Speaker 2: No one knew, and I felt I had so much fun.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I was like, wow, this was great.
- 25:04Speaker 3: You can't without drinking present I like really took in
- 25:08Speaker 3: every moment.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I just also have to say that Tanya's reception setup
- 25:13Speaker 2: was one of the most stunning setups that I've seen.
- 25:18Speaker 3: It was like twinkle light tents.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Ahead of ourselves, of the ceremony.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah no, yeah, So anyways, that was fine.
- 25:26Speaker 6: So we are at the morning of right now.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Yeah, so now we're getting ready and I was actually
- 25:32Speaker 5: super chill during that whole process, Like I had my
- 25:35Speaker 5: hair shout out to David and my makeup Liz.
- 25:39Speaker 3: They were doing their thing.
- 25:41Speaker 5: Sophia was like locked in, Like she was so locked
- 25:47Speaker 5: in in terms of bridesmaid If I said, like I
- 25:52Speaker 5: needed anything, she had it in my hand within two seconds.
- 25:55Speaker 5: I was like, I need a hard bowled egg, ordered it.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I need salt ordered it, I need whatever, Like she
- 26:02Speaker 5: had it in my hand. I was like, I need champagne.
- 26:05Speaker 5: She ordered the most expensive shit.
- 26:08Speaker 3: We're going through the bill. Robbie was like, who ordered
- 26:10Speaker 3: the dom pair and yellows.
- 26:11Speaker 5: I was like, okay, god, so yeah, but anyways, like
- 26:18Speaker 5: whatever I needed, she ordered it.
- 26:21Speaker 3: She was like there. Like she literally was like so
- 26:24Speaker 3: locked in.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Yeah, and you all were, Honestly, everybody was like very
- 26:28Speaker 5: very locked in. But people like wanted to come, Like
- 26:32Speaker 5: my mother in law wanted to come in, like take
- 26:33Speaker 5: a photo with me.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Like I was like, cool, no problem. I went sat
- 26:36Speaker 3: in the bed, took a couple of photos with her. Goodbye.
- 26:38Speaker 3: My sister in law came in, wanted to take a
- 26:40Speaker 3: picture with me, took some photos.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Cool bye, Like I felt like, I was like, so chill,
- 26:45Speaker 1: so chill, yeah, so relaxed.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Like I was like, whoever, They're like, we don't want
- 26:48Speaker 3: to overwhelm Tanya.
- 26:49Speaker 5: I was like, who can everybody can come in whatever
- 26:51Speaker 5: they want, whoever you want.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I have my own little section. Yeah. I was chilling,
- 26:57Speaker 3: so chill, yeah, calm, peaceful.
- 26:59Speaker 5: I was panicked a little bit because I realized that
- 27:02Speaker 5: both of our vows were on our phones, and I
- 27:05Speaker 5: didn't want the phones. I felt like reading them on
- 27:08Speaker 5: phones was like kind of tacky, but handled that situation
- 27:12Speaker 5: quickly sent them to our shout out Marjorie, our wedding planner,
- 27:16Speaker 5: printed them out.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Then what what came the first one? I missed something?
- 27:21Speaker 3: What you gave him? The photo?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Oh?
- 27:24Speaker 5: Yes, yes, the night before I did the morning of
- 27:28Speaker 5: our wedding, which I wish we had so because of
- 27:33Speaker 5: the night before we didn't go to sleep because the
- 27:35Speaker 5: first night was so fun. We got back to our
- 27:37Speaker 5: room and Robbi and I were like, Robbie showered, I
- 27:40Speaker 5: took a bath, and we were like chatting about the
- 27:42Speaker 5: whole night for like an hour.
- 27:43Speaker 3: We're like in the shower, in.
- 27:44Speaker 5: The bath, just like chatting, talking, like reminiscing, like, Oh,
- 27:48Speaker 5: what did you see?
- 27:48Speaker 3: What did you see? What do you think? What do
- 27:50Speaker 3: you think? So we stayed up till like three thirty
- 27:52Speaker 3: four in the morning.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Wow, And my gland was coming to my room at
- 27:55Speaker 5: ten thirty the next morning, so I was like, we
- 27:57Speaker 5: have a very short window.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Oh no, my face was coming in at nine am.
- 28:02Speaker 5: So I was like a very short window for me
- 28:05Speaker 5: to give him this boudoir book. But I really wanted
- 28:07Speaker 5: to do it the morning of the of our wedding.
- 28:10Speaker 5: So I get out and I give him the book,
- 28:14Speaker 5: and uh, he loved it. He freaking loved it, like
- 28:21Speaker 5: he thought it was so beautiful, and he was like
- 28:23Speaker 5: where were He was like asking me out, where were you?
- 28:25Speaker 3: When did you do this? I was like my bachelor party.
- 28:29Speaker 3: He was like who did these photos? I was like
- 28:30Speaker 3: Becca and like everybody else was like doing the lighting
- 28:33Speaker 3: and the setting a scene, and.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he loved it. Yeah, great gift idea great good
- 28:42Speaker 1: to know. Yeah, because you weren't.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Sure it turned out great. He's like obsessed with it. Well,
- 28:48Speaker 3: keep that hidden in the drawer. Yeah yeah, yeah, but.
- 28:53Speaker 5: It was very well received and I'm so happy I
- 28:55Speaker 5: did it the way that I did. I did not
- 28:56Speaker 5: need to spend three thousand dollars on that.
- 28:58Speaker 6: But also interesting, just for traditionalists listening, that you gave
- 29:02Speaker 6: him gifts the morning of the wedding. You slept together
- 29:04Speaker 6: the night before the wedding. You know a lot of
- 29:06Speaker 6: people don't see each other until you walk down the aisle.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Well, I knew we weren't doing a first I knew
- 29:10Speaker 5: we were doing a first look. Any I knew I
- 29:12Speaker 5: was going to see him before we walked down the aisle.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Just logistically, I was like, I didn't want to spend
- 29:17Speaker 5: after the ceremony.
- 29:18Speaker 3: I just wanted to be with everybody.
- 29:19Speaker 5: So I knew I didn't want to take a bunch
- 29:20Speaker 5: of photos after the ceremony. I just wanted to get there,
- 29:23Speaker 5: So I wanted to do everything before. So I already
- 29:25Speaker 5: knew weren't going to see each other for the first
- 29:27Speaker 5: time down the aisle. So I was like, why did
- 29:31Speaker 5: I not want to spend the night before I get
- 29:33Speaker 5: married to my husband?
- 29:35Speaker 6: I get that? Yeah, just saying.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Modern woman over here, she does what she wants.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Andy started your period and then I got my period.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Wow, that's great the morning when the morning of my wedding,
- 29:50Speaker 5: literally wake up to my period?
- 29:52Speaker 3: Wow, what are the odds? It feels very own brand?
- 29:58Speaker 3: It does, but does the universe know my brand? Yeah?
- 30:01Speaker 3: That's why I give it to you? Crazy. I could
- 30:05Speaker 3: not believe it. I was like, are you freaking joking me?
- 30:08Speaker 5: But I'm glad at least I got it in the morning,
- 30:10Speaker 5: so I knew I had it instead of guessing all day,
- 30:12Speaker 5: and so like that felt nice. But let me tell you,
- 30:16Speaker 5: having your best friends walk you into the bathroom and
- 30:18Speaker 5: hoist your dress up while you're having to change of
- 30:19Speaker 5: bloody tampon is a level of closeness that I.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Never Yeah, I never never thought i'd know.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, something special about that.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 2: So yeah, you were super, super calm, and I wanted
- 30:34Speaker 2: to get to the procession book the first look.
- 30:37Speaker 4: But first we're going to take a break, all right.
- 30:58Speaker 2: So you had talked to me that before this podcast
- 31:02Speaker 2: and on this podcast that you were doing a first look. Yeah,
- 31:05Speaker 2: because you wanted to save time after the wedding, so
- 31:08Speaker 2: you knew that you were gonna have that moment.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Yes, tell us about it, Okay. So I thought it
- 31:15Speaker 5: was so cute. And then another piece of advice for
- 31:17Speaker 5: bride's out there. Sophia really wanted to like watch the
- 31:21Speaker 5: first look, and then like Paulina and Becker were like, well,
- 31:24Speaker 5: we want to watch it too, and.
- 31:25Speaker 3: I was like, great, everybody should watch it. Why not?
- 31:27Speaker 5: Like everybody was like they were like shocked that I
- 31:30Speaker 5: said that they could come, and I'm like, we're not
- 31:32Speaker 5: going to notice anything but each other, And I'm like,
- 31:34Speaker 5: how cool. But I'm so glad you guys got to
- 31:36Speaker 5: see it because there's like videos. Ashley got video of
- 31:40Speaker 5: like us doing the first look and then she'd like
- 31:42Speaker 5: pan over and like my best friends are like wiping
- 31:44Speaker 5: their tears and they're like part of the moment. So
- 31:47Speaker 5: it was like really special that you guys got to
- 31:48Speaker 5: like be there and see that.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I've never gotten to do that before. I was like,
- 31:53Speaker 2: that was the coolest thing ever getting to be there.
- 31:56Speaker 3: We were like the photographers were.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Like, you're in the way you're in, the ways that
- 31:59Speaker 2: we're just like uttering around, like tell us where to go?
- 32:02Speaker 5: He cried, of course, Yeah, it was so beautiful.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if you really, like if.
- 32:09Speaker 2: You remembered what happened, but he Tonia taps him on the
- 32:13Speaker 2: shoulder and he turned around and he just like stares
- 32:15Speaker 2: at her, and it was like the sweetest moment.
- 32:17Speaker 3: He just like took you in.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Like he just like looked at you and took
- 32:22Speaker 2: you your beauty in. And then I think, I don't
- 32:24Speaker 2: know what he said. I couldn't hear.
- 32:25Speaker 4: I wasn't that close, but they weren't miked up.
- 32:29Speaker 2: But it was like the most beautiful moment of watching
- 32:33Speaker 2: y'all see each other, like the way that you were
- 32:36Speaker 2: going to become like husband and wife, you know. Yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 2: So it was so special. Thanks for letting us be apart.
- 32:43Speaker 5: No, it was like, so I love that you guys
- 32:45Speaker 5: got to see it. So we did the first look
- 32:48Speaker 5: and then we went and just took like a ton
- 32:50Speaker 5: of photos of like family, bridal party all that, and
- 32:54Speaker 5: then before I knew it, it was cocktail hour and
- 32:58Speaker 5: I was like, oh my gosh, like we're doing this,
- 33:00Speaker 5: like we're freaking doing this, and uh, Robbie came back
- 33:05Speaker 5: to my room. So it was me, Robbie and then
- 33:08Speaker 5: all the bridesmaids. Right, so all the bridesmaids, me and
- 33:11Speaker 5: Robbie in the room. I was like, I need some champagne.
- 33:14Speaker 5: And then I started get nervous like at that point
- 33:17Speaker 5: because I was like, it's like happening. And then they
- 33:21Speaker 5: golf carted us over and then I started to get
- 33:22Speaker 5: like really nervous because we were like there by the way.
- 33:26Speaker 5: I heard that the food at the Cocktail Hour was
- 33:27Speaker 5: really good.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Yeah, so again no complaints.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Again, I heard it was the best food, that their
- 33:34Speaker 5: favorite was.
- 33:35Speaker 3: The food from Cocktail Hour was good.
- 33:37Speaker 6: What was it was? Was it lovedter taco.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Tacos, some sort of chicken something, chicken burgers?
- 33:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 33:46Speaker 7: I saw Kennedy with a burger and I was like,
- 33:48Speaker 7: did she bring that in from somewhere else? You got
- 33:50Speaker 7: to hear all right, Yeah, I know.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, even not partake, I've been happy to
- 33:56Speaker 3: miss out. Really.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yes, we got to the place of walking down the aisle.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and what were you.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Feeling because it was like you saw your dad and
- 34:09Speaker 2: what we had just seen them for photos but it
- 34:10Speaker 2: was like the moment was approaching.
- 34:12Speaker 5: That's like the first time I got nervous all day
- 34:14Speaker 5: was like that at that point. So I'm like, how's
- 34:18Speaker 5: this going to go down? Like you know what I mean,
- 34:19Speaker 5: Like you rehearse it, but like I don't know, you
- 34:22Speaker 5: know what I mean? Like that was crazy. And then
- 34:25Speaker 5: I was like hearing the strings and that was started
- 34:27Speaker 5: to like make me really emotional.
- 34:28Speaker 3: So I was already starting.
- 34:29Speaker 5: To cry, and I put the veil over my head.
- 34:34Speaker 5: It was really hard for me to see. Like I
- 34:35Speaker 5: had to like really focus on the stairs because like
- 34:37Speaker 5: I had like a staircase that went down, and I
- 34:40Speaker 5: really had to focus on the stairs. And my dad
- 34:46Speaker 5: is the one that ends up tripping and like almost
- 34:49Speaker 5: really going down hard.
- 34:51Speaker 6: Yeah, that was a little bit scary.
- 34:53Speaker 4: I couldn't see him, So what happened.
- 34:55Speaker 6: Just to stumble on the left step but he caught himself.
- 34:59Speaker 6: But he caught it himself kind of he was a
- 35:01Speaker 6: parallel to the ground when he caught himself.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Yeah, like it could have been really bad.
- 35:05Speaker 6: He went down pretty him up.
- 35:08Speaker 3: No oh, And I didn't go down with him at all,
- 35:10Speaker 3: I know, but you could have.
- 35:11Speaker 6: Like that's that's what I'm saying, like there's a point
- 35:13Speaker 6: where he caught himself that if he hadn't caught himself,
- 35:15Speaker 6: they're both going, yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 3: It was bad. I didn't know that. I just I
- 35:19Speaker 3: thought you were going to catch yourself up. Yeah, it
- 35:21Speaker 3: could have been really bad.
- 35:22Speaker 6: And my first thing was that it was that a joke,
- 35:24Speaker 6: like was he doing a bit Like he was like, oops,
- 35:26Speaker 6: I almost fell but no.
- 35:28Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no no bit.
- 35:32Speaker 5: So he walks me up, and then I kind of
- 35:34Speaker 5: blacked out, if I'm being honest, but I was.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Going to ask what it was like walking towards Robbie.
- 35:40Speaker 4: But do you not remember?
- 35:41Speaker 5: I remember, I remember him coming. He took the veil
- 35:44Speaker 5: over my head, tried to kiss me. Yeah yeah, but
- 35:48Speaker 5: yeah at that point I like kind of blacked out,
- 35:51Speaker 5: like I remember it, but like not.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Well I saw you.
- 35:56Speaker 2: So then uh, once Ryan told everyone to be seated,
- 35:59Speaker 2: the bridal party went and sat down, so we got
- 36:01Speaker 2: to like watch, which I loved. Another thing for future brides,
- 36:06Speaker 2: have your bridal party stand there so they get to
- 36:08Speaker 2: see the bridewalk down the aisle and then let them
- 36:11Speaker 2: go and.
- 36:11Speaker 6: Then have a seat.
- 36:13Speaker 3: It was so nice.
- 36:13Speaker 6: Yeah, otherwise you're up there, somebody passes out because they
- 36:17Speaker 6: got to yeah relaxed. Yeah, but one thing we skipped
- 36:21Speaker 6: over is every person who came down had a different
- 36:23Speaker 6: song to come down to that the String Quartet played.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Oh yeah, and you chose all of those?
- 36:27Speaker 3: Yeah, well Roby and I together, okay, yeah that was.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Actually and tandem. But yeah, we had Ryan go down
- 36:33Speaker 5: to Cold Play Yellow, and then we had our bridal
- 36:37Speaker 5: party come down to the Bones Maren Morris and then
- 36:41Speaker 5: Beyond Leon Bridges with which are two songs that like
- 36:44Speaker 5: have a lot of significance to our relationship. And then
- 36:47Speaker 5: we had the boys and Sonny walk down to Here
- 36:51Speaker 5: Comes the Sun was favorite.
- 36:53Speaker 2: That was when I That was when I started the tears.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Yeah, that one was that was special. And then I
- 37:02Speaker 5: came down to Invisibles. Oh Robi sorry, Robbie went down
- 37:05Speaker 5: to at A at A James at Last, Oh yes, yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 5: And then I came down to Invisible String Taylor Swift. Yeah,
- 37:12Speaker 5: but the again I blacked out. But the violin violin
- 37:14Speaker 5: the strings were good, right, oh yeah, they were really good. Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 3: I got reports that they were really good.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Well.
- 37:20Speaker 6: They also played like a track, like a drum track
- 37:22Speaker 6: under some of their songs like to make it just
- 37:25Speaker 6: sound fuller.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Yeah good.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Yeah. So then Ryan did his thing and he.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Crushed it, crushed it, like, couldn't have asked for a
- 37:35Speaker 6: better performance for more. It was really phenomenal.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Perfect top to bottom.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Yep, Like his intro, we basically gave him like a
- 37:44Speaker 5: little bit of like a script or like a flow
- 37:48Speaker 5: of the events, like kind of like intro vows, just
- 37:52Speaker 5: like the skeleton of the ceremony. And then we just
- 37:54Speaker 5: told him like you have total freedom to like do
- 37:56Speaker 5: what you want with it. And he crushed it, like
- 38:01Speaker 5: top to bottom, crushed it.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Knew when to like when we set our vowels to
- 38:05Speaker 3: each other, he like moved out of the way, like
- 38:07Speaker 3: stepped aside. Let us say our vows to each other.
- 38:10Speaker 6: Like and people will say, like, oh, of course, Like
- 38:12Speaker 6: he is a TV host, he knows what he's doing
- 38:15Speaker 6: and all this stuff, but he's never done something like
- 38:16Speaker 6: this before.
- 38:17Speaker 3: No, he's never done this.
- 38:18Speaker 6: Totally different.
- 38:19Speaker 5: It's so different, especially you're a host, like you're supposed
- 38:22Speaker 5: to be in every shot, in every frame, and like
- 38:23Speaker 5: this is so different because it's like it's.
- 38:26Speaker 6: He's kind of the host, but he's not the star.
- 38:28Speaker 3: You too are Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:30Speaker 6: But he was so funny and so charming and so
- 38:33Speaker 6: and sweet and kind and telling your story. I just
- 38:36Speaker 6: I just thought it was a masterful performance.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Yeah, it was like really sentimental and like sensitive but
- 38:41Speaker 5: also very funny and engaging. Like it was perfect, and
- 38:44Speaker 5: like we didn't want a super serious ceremony. We wanted
- 38:48Speaker 5: it to be like lighthearted and like fun and people
- 38:50Speaker 5: to like laugh, and.
- 38:51Speaker 3: He just like crushed it. He crushed it.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Emuel's vows. Yes, so you went first.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Had to go first, which we all could have imagined
- 39:04Speaker 2: that that would have been emotional, but it was so
- 39:07Speaker 2: perfect because it was so you, and it was like so.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Sweet and.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Beautiful, and also you were like laugh crying through most
- 39:20Speaker 2: of it, and it was just so perfectly Tanya.
- 39:22Speaker 6: Yes, because I couldn't talk because you were crying so hard,
- 39:26Speaker 6: but the people would laugh.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah, there was.
- 39:32Speaker 5: One point where I was just like, I have to
- 39:33Speaker 5: say this fast because I had to just get through
- 39:35Speaker 5: it because I, like, I was crying so hard.
- 39:38Speaker 2: But the real, the real tear jerker is when you
- 39:41Speaker 2: turned to the boys and address them, which I think
- 39:44Speaker 2: would be where everyone cohesively lost it and didn't get
- 39:49Speaker 2: it back after that point because you addressed.
- 39:52Speaker 3: The boys and to the boys. Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and she had she had asked me to proofread
- 39:59Speaker 2: the her vows on the plane, just to give any
- 40:04Speaker 2: any notes.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Yeah, And when I got to that point, I was like.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Oh, this is where we're all gonna collectively go down.
- 40:13Speaker 3: And it was perfect.
- 40:14Speaker 2: And I think that is what healed so many people
- 40:17Speaker 2: who have had, you know, negative experiences or divorce parents
- 40:22Speaker 2: or step parents. I think it was like this moment
- 40:25Speaker 2: that you've shown that to them, since you've been in
- 40:28Speaker 2: a relationship with Robbie and since you've been in their lives,
- 40:30Speaker 2: like you've shown that commitment to them. But there was
- 40:32Speaker 2: this like significance of everyone being there and you looking
- 40:37Speaker 2: directly at them after making your vows to their dad.
- 40:41Speaker 2: That like made it so beautiful and like.
- 40:46Speaker 3: It was perfect.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 5: I feel like one of my friends said, she was like,
- 40:51Speaker 5: I grew up in a divorce household and they're like
- 40:54Speaker 5: the the parents kind of had like a lot of
- 40:58Speaker 5: different people in and out of their lives, and she
- 41:00Speaker 5: she was like, I always felt like the step kid,
- 41:02Speaker 5: Like I always felt not committed to and not nurtured
- 41:06Speaker 5: and not cared for. And like that was like really sad,
- 41:10Speaker 5: you know, because like she still thinks of it today.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 5: So I knew I wanted to include them and I
- 41:16Speaker 5: wanted to have vowels for them, but I didn't know
- 41:18Speaker 5: like if I should make them like a little funny
- 41:20Speaker 5: or like you know what I mean.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Like perfect though.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it was sin and it it was a moment
- 41:27Speaker 2: for y'all, but it didn't It wasn't like uncomfortable for them,
- 41:30Speaker 2: you know, it was.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Just like perfect.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Yeah right. He was like they're like.
- 41:35Speaker 4: But they were just smiling at you.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Yeah, because I was like, okay, we're I got you right, yeah,
- 41:40Speaker 5: and they're like dah, like okay.
- 41:43Speaker 2: So then Robbie gave his vowels and that's where I
- 41:47Speaker 2: think Easton's contact came out.
- 41:49Speaker 3: From crying too hard.
- 41:52Speaker 7: Yeah, I started sobbing and then and my eyes were
- 41:55Speaker 7: all blurry and then my right eye was much blurrier
- 41:58Speaker 7: than the other one, and I'm like, oh god, it
- 42:00Speaker 7: came out and I thought it had popped onto my sunglasses.
- 42:03Speaker 7: I took it off and it was nowhere to be found,
- 42:05Speaker 7: and I was quietly panicking, and uh then I nudged
- 42:08Speaker 7: Alison and she found it.
- 42:09Speaker 2: On.
- 42:09Speaker 7: She found it in the dirt on the ground, and
- 42:11Speaker 7: we just see very very uh surreptitiously rinse it off
- 42:15Speaker 7: with some bottled water and popped it back. But I
- 42:17Speaker 7: was like, oh man, this is this is a this
- 42:19Speaker 7: is a big, tiny moment. I cried my contacts out
- 42:21Speaker 7: watching this happen.
- 42:24Speaker 6: Something about guys crying is it's impossible to not cry
- 42:28Speaker 6: when you see a guy break down.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he broke down. Yeah he broke down. I guess
- 42:33Speaker 3: that's what it was too.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Like we knew Tanya was going to break down because
- 42:36Speaker 2: she told, like, we've known that that was going to happen,
- 42:38Speaker 2: and but even still, it was so like there was
- 42:41Speaker 2: something about it that was just so sweet. Even though
- 42:45Speaker 2: we knew you were, like I expected you to cry,
- 42:47Speaker 2: it was still like perfect.
- 42:48Speaker 4: But then Robbie crying through the whole his whole vowels.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I had no tissues. My hands were like all
- 42:56Speaker 2: like soaked. My whole face and hands were drenched because
- 42:59Speaker 2: I just kept try to like wipe them and didn't
- 43:01Speaker 2: have anything to do with it.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Was I was shoving tissues down my dress, putting her
- 43:07Speaker 5: tissue into her cleavage because I was just like I
- 43:11Speaker 5: don't know what to do, Like it was just constant.
- 43:15Speaker 5: So then we went to break the glass and we
- 43:17Speaker 5: had like the wrong type of glass out there. So
- 43:19Speaker 5: there was like a five minute like it was about
- 43:22Speaker 5: like five minutes, I know what it was.
- 43:24Speaker 3: And then Ryan pronounced his husband, and what would.
- 43:27Speaker 6: You like to hear that? Oh? Yes, First of all,
- 43:28Speaker 6: here's a little taste of the strings that Tanya walked
- 43:30Speaker 6: down to.
- 43:46Speaker 5: And they learned that too, like they learned those those
- 43:49Speaker 5: three songs, they learned beyond h the Bones and Invisible String.
- 43:56Speaker 6: And here is the moment, Tanya and Rocky, by the
- 44:01Speaker 6: love that has brought us here today, by the vowels
- 44:06Speaker 6: you have exchanged, and by the strength of your commitment,
- 44:12Speaker 6: I now pronounce you husband and.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Crazy. It's so crazy, it's so crazy, So you'll do
- 44:25Speaker 3: like out of body. Yeah, I was gonna say.
- 44:27Speaker 5: I felt like I was like floating on top of myself,
- 44:30Speaker 5: like looking down being like.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Oh wow, this is really cool. Like it was really crazy.
- 44:35Speaker 2: So y'all did a kiss at the altar when he
- 44:37Speaker 2: announced you really great kiss you.
- 44:39Speaker 6: Well that was funny too. They kept trying to kiss
- 44:41Speaker 6: and Ryan kept stopping that.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, every time you would come together and be
- 44:47Speaker 2: like like after.
- 44:48Speaker 3: The vows, yeah, it feels weird to kiss.
- 44:52Speaker 2: And then y'all did a mid aisle kisses which was stunning.
- 44:55Speaker 3: A dip a dip, a dip with a kiss, yeah,
- 44:58Speaker 3: and then y'all headed to pictures.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:04Speaker 5: So then basically everybody was so funny because we walked
- 45:07Speaker 5: out the way that everybody was like going to walk
- 45:08Speaker 5: out to the reception, and like everybody was like tea,
- 45:12Speaker 5: Robbie like, go, you're gonna have to like see everybody.
- 45:14Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I want to see everybody.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Like I was like I just didn't want to leave
- 45:17Speaker 5: at that point, so I was like, I'll take five
- 45:19Speaker 5: photos and then that's it. Like I was like, I
- 45:21Speaker 5: just want to like get to the dance floor. So
- 45:25Speaker 5: we took the photos on the beach and then we
- 45:27Speaker 5: went straight into the reception.
- 45:30Speaker 6: And I think we should maybe save the reception for
- 45:34Speaker 6: a part too, because we're on pace for a two
- 45:36Speaker 6: hour podcast. Oh my, you should break it up. Sorry
- 45:40Speaker 6: to be that Guy?
- 45:41Speaker 3: Part two Wow, coming soon, So let's tea.
- 45:45Speaker 6: What else can we look forward to in part two?
- 45:48Speaker 3: First dance? Yeah, what else?
- 45:54Speaker 4: No, the reception in and of it changing into a
- 45:56Speaker 4: second dress.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yes, the logistics, food.
- 46:01Speaker 4: The drinks, the dancing, the band.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Is it over now?
- 46:05Speaker 5: Oh my gosh. Yeah, that was one of the highlights
- 46:08Speaker 5: of my wedding.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Like we're going to talk about it, yeah, in part
- 46:11Speaker 3: two of this
