- 0:03SPEAKER_02: Hi, everyone.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: Welcome back to another great episode of Crushing Strongholds.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: This is a podcast where we turn power into pain, trauma into torment, and just a place where we get to expose the lives of the enemy.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: And how do we do that?
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: We do that by sharing others' testimonies and how they have overcome obstacles through the mighty hand of God.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: And today I'm excited to have a wonderful guest coming on today.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: And for those of you who don't know me, I am your host and I'm Mickey.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: And I'm excited to have this wonderful, beautiful lady coming on to share who she is and what she does.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: And I'm excited she's an entrepreneur.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: She helps she's an entrepreneur, an entrepreneur, but also she helps women become entrepreneurs.
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: And I love that she helps mom become mom entrepreneurs.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: And I think that's wonderful.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: And so she's going to tell us all about herself, what she does.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: She's also an author.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: And um we have a little bit of familiar roots.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: We we both are um in the Kingdom Builders Academy, which is amazing.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: We met some great people along the way there.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: And so we will just bring you great conversation today, great testimony, and just the love of God.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: So let's welcome in Priscilla Macopa.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: I think I said it right.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: And then say hi and introduce herself and welcome in, Priscilla.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: I'm so glad that you're here.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, thank you so much.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: It's such an honor.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for you know inviting me to your podcast.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I'm really, really honored, honestly.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: So my name is Priscilla Macopa for those that are listening.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm a mother of four, a business owner.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: I am from originally from Zimbabwe, and I'm here in the UK, obviously, running my business in the UK.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So I help ambitious uh business, uh ambitious Christian women build uh wealth God's way without sacrificing their family, without sacrificing their faith and their peace.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So yeah, and also I run a healthcare business in the UK.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so what we do, we provide um supportive carers to uh elderly people or people with mental health and learning disabilities.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it's really like vulnerable adults, basically.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, I was I was reading about that actually.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Um being the CEO and the founder of your company, and it's it's so amazing.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: Um, you yourself as a mom, you do a lot.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: And so I love that you encourage women and mothers to be comfortable um pursuing their dreams, to just keep pressing in and following after their dreams.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: I love that you do that.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: And um, following along with you, like on your Facebook and stuff, I I love how encouraging you are to women.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: And you just always build up their hope and their ambitions, like it's okay, just it's okay, you can keep going, and still be okay with being a mom as well.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: I know a lot of times women um sometimes struggle with going back and forth, like, oh man, I I need to be a mom and not work, not work so much, or oh, I need to work, I gotta pay the bills, and then your kids get neglected.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: And it's kind of a it's kind of a um tug-a-rope sometimes, you know, they're playing, you know, against one another with with with it.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: And and I love that you make women just feel comfortable in being and doing both.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: You know, you you can work and be a mom too.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: And it's okay.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Um sometimes society look, you know, puts women in a place where women should just stay home and raise their children, um, or women should just put their kids in a daycare and go to work, you know, and and you help them to to balance both of those those out.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: And I love that.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: So um can you share with us just a little bit about like how you um dove into that and what what was the driving force behind you deciding to want to help Christian women to become mompreneurs and womenpreneurs?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, awesome.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: It's a long story, yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So really what happened is, you know, when I started my business in 2014, you know, when you when you go into business, you you're going into business like any other person.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: You want to provide for your family.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Um, and I wanted to have that freedom uh to spend with my children, right?
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Um, at first everything was going well.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And uh then when my business started to grow, then uh, you know, I started struggling with uh staffing because what you know the business that I work that I run is the healthcare business, whereby obviously I have to supply stuff, you know, to vulnerable adults.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: So I started struggling with stuffing.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And because I was doing everything myself at that time, yeah, you know, everything was coming back to me.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I was doing the recruiting, you know, I was managing the business.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: I was the I was sometimes going in the community to deliver, to deliver care in the community, looking after these people, these uh clients.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Uh before I knew it, you know, I had no time for myself, no time for family, and no time for even God.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: You you see, I I remember I was dropping my kids off to school uh early in the morning, early each morning, and um I was rushing to work, you know, so that I can manage and balance, you know, uh rush to work, do the work during my break time.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And that's when I do office work.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: During when I'm when I'm not on my break time, I'm doing community work.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: In the afternoons, I would come back obviously to collect children from school, and I was the last mother all the time, you know, to pick up her children because I took breakfast.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Don't worry.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: So I started missing uh, you know, those important uh moments, you know, like parents' evenings with I would tell the school that oh I I would do it some other time, and that time never came.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: I was missing school events, I would explain to my kids that you know what, don't worry, I will uh, you know, things are gonna get better soon, right?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so and then um I remember even evenings, you know, when you're when you come back from work, um you were supposed to be present as a mom.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: I was not present.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: I would um spare, yeah, I would cook for the children, yes, fine, give them food.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: But when I'm even when I'm cooking, I'm on the phone.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, my phone was constantly ringing.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: I would be answering phones, I'll be fixing problems after problems.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I remember, you know, most nights I would go upstairs, you know, to my children's bedrooms and then I'll find them already asleep.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: You know, that really broke me because I knew that they were they they were waiting for me.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: They wanted mom.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: They've been get trying to get my attention all evening, but mom wasn't available because she's trying to fix every problem.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: So, and then um that was making me more and more tired.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: And uh, I I was feeling a lot, you know, a lot of guilt.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: And I was feeling a lot of fear.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: You know, when I was at work, I would I would feel so much guilty because obviously I knew I had not spent time with my kids.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: I knew that I went to to to to to bed to read uh bedtime story and I found my kids sleeping.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: So that will be, you know, running in my mind all day when I'm at work.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: And then when I'm at, you know, when I'm with my children, I wasn't present because I'm feeling like so much fear because my business was at that crucial time whereby if if any it's like it was it was relying on me.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: If I if I if I step away, that means it was gonna fall apart because no one was there to to help me.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Even uh the team that I had on board, they were not even doing the the work that you know they were supp the way they're supposed to do.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Or maybe I had just trust issues or something.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I I don't even know.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: But I know what I know is that I had so much fear.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So things got worse.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: I I remember I you know I kept on saying to myself, you know what, um maybe if we solve one more problem, then everything will be fine.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: But trust me, there was always another problem.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Every night, you know, I would spend sometimes, you know, because of the pressure, I was tired, I was overwhelmed.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: I was, you know, I would I would be crying in my bathroom and feeling like, you know what, I'm failing.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: I'm failing my family, I'm failing my, you know, I'm failing everyone.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: You see, I'm failing my husband.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: And uh, I remember most of my prayers were mostly about God.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Can you help me?
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: They were never I didn't have that relationship with God, like you, you know, that I have now, the relationship whereby I can wake up in the morning and speak to God.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: No, I was just in a on a in a rush all the time.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, God, I was like, God help me.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: I need money, I need uh this.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: I need oh my god.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: And at the same time, I was trying to control everything, even though I was praying, asking God to do things for me, I still controlled everything.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I wasn't trusting him enough.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: I wasn't even trusting him to lead, guide, and and direct me.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: You know, so I there was times when I would ask myself, am I really meant for this business or or or what?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Did God actually call me, you know, to this?
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I was asking myself, there was a lot of of questions that were going on, you know, because of struggles I was going through.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: I remember there was a day I'm I I finally managed to go out, you know, and and spend time with my children.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: And um, and I wanted we went out shopping uh together.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: We were in a shop, and you know, while we are shopping and everything, my phone rang.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: And then um, you know, I ignored it for the first time, and then it rang again, and then I picked up.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: The moment I picked that phone and I started hearing the person who was on the other end of the phone, you know, a cold weight just sat on my west, uh, on my chest, you know.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, the person was screaming, like shouting, telling me, what type of a company is this?
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: How can you be losing stuff in one day?
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: How can it's like they had received a phone call from one of my team members that all this stuff are working out and our service users were going to be left with no care.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: That was so so so difficult for me.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: And you know, uh they even said I was putting, you know, vulnerable people at risk.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: I was like, how I was trying to, you know, manage everything.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: How can I do that?
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: I couldn't process anything at that time.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I was I was like feeling like, oh my gosh, I'm alone here with my kids.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: My husband had gone to Africa.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: It was the most painful time, you know, of my life that time.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: So um I was left just you know with a lot of questions, so confused.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and then the moment I ended that phone call, I knew I had lost that biggest contract, and that was my biggest contract.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: That was that was helping me, helping my family.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: It was like, what?
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: So I looked at my children and I said, and you know, they were so excited because they thought we're going to continue shopping, right?
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: But all I was fearing was I was feeling was like so much fear.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: I said, you know, this is this is so bad.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: I was I was literally shaking.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, after everything I've done, after all those sacrificing, sacrificing my family, you know, my time with God, it was such a such a disappointment.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: I'd sacrificed, you know, time with my children.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: I I hardly had even time to speak to my husband when he was away.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Even like I said uh before that, you know, the relationship with God wasn't that intimate.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: It was just about asking God for things.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: You know, um, I had wedged myself so much, you know.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Uh so anyway, I went back home, dropped the children.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Anyway, there was um uh someone to look after them, went straight to the office because you know, um I needed to work this contract well to finish it.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: So met the staff, uh some staff, I had some staff who were you know happy to continue, you know, like working with me, you know.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: So we went, I was literally in the community.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: I was waking up every morning, like you know, 5 a.m., going to work, coming back 10 p.m.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: It was the most painful time.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: I had to get a babysitter to look after my kids, you know, but um I did I didn't let the fear take over.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I had to turn to God.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: It was the you know, it was a very difficult time of my life.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: It was for me, that time was like a you know, when when they say, What is your catalyst?
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: That was my catalyst, a turning point for me.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: It was the time I realized that, you know what, I had drifted, you know, away from the vision that God had uh had given me in the beginning.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: I had become so focused on uh on chasing money.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: It was all about how can I work harder to make things better, and then you know, things never got better.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: I was not pursuing you know that whatever I had said in the beginning, and I trusted myself more than even I trusted God, and that business which I was running, it was like it was running me, not me running it.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had uh, you know, like when you you know, I when I look back, it's like I build myself another job for myself.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: It's a job for me to to run me, like oh, it was so it was a very difficult uh you know time, but but the reflection helped me so much.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: It helped me so much.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Um because it made me think properly, you know, why did I actually start that business?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why what did I want that business to give me?
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Because you know, the when I you know when I realized I when I realized all the answers, you know, I I noticed that look, I I had actually drifted.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had fear, fear was the one that was driving me.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: It wasn't real, it wasn't the passion, it wasn't the the purpose, it was fear.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, fear of losing my business, you know, and fear of failing, because you know, there was a time when my husband was helping, injecting money in the business, and also, and then I think he faced some situations um in his own business, and then he said, you know, Priscilla, I can't help you.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: I was so disappointed.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And then I said to myself, I I need to, I'm going to trust God, and God is gonna help me.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: You know, I said that I I don't I don't have to worry, but I know God is gonna is gonna help me.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: And what was happening uh, you know, from that time is that I wanted to work hard, not because I had to, you know, to build what you know what you know to build something for God.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: I was working hard because I needed to prove myself.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I needed to prove myself to my husband that I could do it, I could do it without him, you know.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: So if anything was to go wrong, I needed to fix it because I didn't want to look bad.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I need I didn't want to look like I felt.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: I needed to prove that you know what?
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: I I can do things.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: I can I remember at the first I used to tell myself, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: And yes, I was getting the strength, but to be honest with you, I was really like uh I was almost like I was losing myself.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: You know, so this you know, this thing of trying to prove myself was just what was driving me.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: It was like a stronghold.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: You know, you know, fear was another another strong stronghold.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: I remember my husband when he noticed that, you know what, this woman is suffering.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: He said to me, You need to leave that business.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: You need to think, you need to go back home, look after kids, yeah.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Um, I'll look after you.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: You or or find another job, find a job that is it's easy, right?
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: But I said, you know what, I'm going to carry on.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: I know God will see me through.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: That I I had faith, which was great.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: I had the faith.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: But you know, the thing is, because of me wanting to to move forward without a proper, a clear vision, my children was the were the ones paying the price.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: They were the ones paying the price.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: So I was I but I chose to trust God.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And then um I had to go back to the vision that God had given me.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Um and I I had to I had realized a lot of things in there, in that vision.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: You know, I I realized that, you know what, yes, I had a great vision, I knew what I wanted, but there were so many things that were holding me back, and there were so many things that were like strongholds that were stopping me from moving forward.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: And I realized that, you know, um, you know, the working hard wasn't really like coming from a healthy place, it was coming from from trauma, from my past.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes, you know, you know, like when I was growing up as a child, um, I was raised by a stepmother, and um I used to work like uh you know, like if you have ever watched Cinderella, that was me.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: That was me.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: I had to work so hard.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: And uh for me to work so hard, for me to get anything, I had to work hard.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: For me to get food, I had to work hard.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: You know, there was no time, there was nothing uh like you'll be, you know, like nothing like getting rest.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: You know, you if you get if you are if you are if you get rest, it's like you are lazy.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that's what I used to be called, you know, just sitting down.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: You are you lazy or something?
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: You see, it was it was so difficult.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: So I think that's where it you know all this working hard came from.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Because I thought in order to be successful, in order to get anything in life, you just have to work harder.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you know, I understand, you know, like when you are when I was running a six-figure, yes, working harder was going it was, you know, can help me, right?
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: But it reaches the stage where your business can, you know, where you're working hard cannot take you to a seven-figure because it needs different, it needs systems.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: You need systems in business, you need you know, great team, team members in the business.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: You know, you need um you need help.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: If you don't have the help, you're gonna you're gonna break down.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: You can't handle all the oh, you know, you can handle everything in the business on your own.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: Business can't rely on you because you will break down.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: So there was a lot of lessons that I learned, you know, in that journey.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And I thank God because when I turned to him, my eyes were opened, and uh, you know, I realized where the issues were.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: I needed to heal from my past, you know, I needed to heal from the fear, you know, I needed to heal from even these people pleasing.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Like I needed to find myself, I needed to understand who I was in Christ.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: You know, it's it's so important to know your identity in Christ.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: You need to know, you know, as the As a businesswoman, you need to know your identity, you know, so that you can lead from a place of identity rather than leading from fear, because it you will make decisions based on fear.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And before you know it, you will you will break down.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: I love that you share that because the the biggest stronghold that we actually face is fear, out of all of this, the six strongholds that I that I coach on and teach on.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: And I love the story of Peter uh stepping out of the boat with Jesus because the storm is raging and it's fearful.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: And yet he has his eyes on Jesus and he has so much faith in believing in who Jesus is, he steps out on the water, but just for a moment, fear shows up and he starts to sink.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: Because we can't operate in fear and faith at the same time.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: It's impossible.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: And that's why Jesus says, Ye have little faith.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: You know, why do you have such little faith?
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: You know, because he was already conquered the fear by stepping out on the water to begin with, knowing that he could trust Jesus.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: And it was storming all around, it wasn't calm.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: And he steps out in that faith to begin with, but then that faith subsided because that fear crept in.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: And I also like what you said about the identity is um one thing I love to share with people, especially people that want to please other people.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: We or we have imposter syndrome, or we have we want to be like everyone else, or we want to do it, we want to we don't want to be who God created us to be.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: I always tell people that when Jesus went to the cross, he already validated us.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: We don't need validation from anyone going forward.
- 23:53SPEAKER_02: And it's really hard sometimes to remember that because we're so wrapped up, there's so much in the world that that we're seeing all around us, that um sometimes we take our eyes off from that that very thought that we are already validated on the cross when Jesus, you know, went to the cross for our Savior.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: And and so when people are seeking out um, you know, the the power and and the income and the and and whatnot, and the more and the more and the more, it it's interesting when I I I I remind them that they're already validated.
- 24:23SPEAKER_02: They don't need any more validation, they're already doing great just where God has them.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: And sometimes we feel like we have to do more and more and more.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: And a quick story I want to share with you when you're talking about your kids and going to work.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: And I was um a single after my divorce, I was a single mom for a while, and I thought, oh man, how am I gonna do this now?
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: How am I gonna do this on my own with three kids?
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: And I I felt, you know, I wanted my kids to grow up in a good environment.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: So I worked really hard for them to have that environment, you know.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I would have to work two or three jobs.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: And I was really, I was already in a good, I was already in a good position.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: I was making good money.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: I was a regional manager for a company, I was running um 15 stores, and I was but I was gone.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: I was not present.
- 25:04SPEAKER_02: I was not the mom that they needed to be.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: And I came home one day and my son was just like, Mom, I just want you to quit your job and I don't want you to go back to work.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: You know, he was just fed up with me being gone, you know?
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Okay, okay.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: So and he was playing on his little his Xbox, right?
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: And drinking his Mountain Dew.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: So I so I went over and I turned off the Xbox and I took the Mountain Dew out of his hand and I started to walk away.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: And he goes, Hey, what are you doing?
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: I said, Well, this is me not going to work.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: And he goes, he comes and takes the Mountain Dew back and he goes, Have a good day at work, Mom.
- 25:34SPEAKER_02: You know, I mean, it was kind of a reality.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, and I felt I did I did feel really bad.
- 25:41SPEAKER_02: It really burdened my heart that he even had to say something to me.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: But I also needed him to understand that the the luxuries he's enjoying from my hard work, you know, that's the that's the dividend.
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: That's where the payout is, is you can have these nice things or we can live in in in not such comfortable, you know, situations.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: You know, we can we can lessen it.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: I can quit some of my jobs and we could just not have a nice house to live in and stuff.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: And and he was just like, You have a great day at work, mom.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: You know, I love you.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: And and we we still even even as we got older, as he got older, we would laugh at that moment because it just it cracked me up.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: It just kind of floored me.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: And I I wasn't quite expecting it to quite go that way, but it did.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: And and I know I remember him saying that he just wished I was home more often, you know, and we could do stuff.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: But I just made sure that when I was home, like you said, it's it's trying to disconnect and be present when you are home.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: And that was really hard because you're constantly thinking about your to-do list, what you have to get accomplished.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: And I'm thinking, oh my gosh, you know, I've got so much to do, and I'm so far behind on all of these things now that I'm home.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: And I finally realized, you know what, some of those things can wait because my kids are growing up without me.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: They're literally growing up without me.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: I'm missing it, I'm missing all the moments, you know?
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: And I finally had to take a step back.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: And um, when I took my vacation, I took my vacation.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: When I had a day off or my two days off, those were my days off, and I I didn't allow work to affect that.
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: But it took a lot of um opening up my eyes and seeing what I was missing out on before I could realize that I was actually missing out on that, you know.
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: And I had to separate myself from you know, from my business life to my children's life, even though my business life was providing for my children's life, if that makes sense.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: So I I completely relate with what you're saying.
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: It's just it's so powerful that when you're looking at the situation, you're just working.
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: And my mom raised me to be you do everything for yourself, nobody takes care of you, you take care of you.
- 27:42SPEAKER_02: And so I always worked super hard, you know.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: I was like, I've got to do this.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: No one's gonna do this for me.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: I have to get the child dead, you know.
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: So if not, I'm failing, you know.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: So I didn't want to fail.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: It's so scary.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: You just have that that fear on you.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: And like I said, fear is the number one stronghold that that I help people conquer when it comes to facing that over every other stronghold that there is, fear is the biggest one.
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: So it is the biggest one.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: But you know, it's um for like now, uh, what I've what I do is that I I spend time with God more.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, when you start, let's say you start your day with God, you know, that fear you know starts to starts to go away because you are you are grounded, you're rooted in God, and everything you do is about is about God.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: And you feel led, the Holy Spirit leads you, you know, in everything.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: And you know, you know, when you know that you're relying on someone, you just feel that peace, isn't there?
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: On in you in yourself, you have that peace.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: But if you are if you uh if you are just doing everything yourself, you're not relying on God, so you know, that's where the fear comes from.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and uh, you know, I like that verse where God says, you know what, I am the one who teaches your hands to create wealth.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: So, as business women that are out there, if God is the one that teaches us to create wealth, then why do we want to figure out everything ourselves?
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't need to figure out everything because every single day he's present, he's there.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: He just wants us to to rely on him rather than on ourselves.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: I think the reason why everything becomes harder is because we think we are in control of everything and we're not.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:34unknown: Yeah.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: I think God wants us, you know, like the scripture says, abundantly, exceedingly and abundantly.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: He wants us to have everything exceedingly and abundantly.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: That doesn't mean a minimal amount.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: That doesn't mean the smallest portion.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: It means he wants us to have more than what we need.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: And he's a provider of everything, but we get in our own way.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: We we're the ones who put the blockade up.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: He's not the one who does it, you know.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: And and when we're searching, when you search out who Jesus is and what he actually has for you, and you start learning that, it becomes so powerful.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: It really does, it completely flips the flips the script, you know, to make it um more um not it doesn't seem so challenging and it makes it more doable, you know.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: And when you realize, you know, God really does want this for me, you know, so it's okay for me to want it for myself.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: And it's not as some people say, well, if you just want money, you're being selfish, or you just no, God doesn't care if we have money.
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: God doesn't care if we have five Porsches in the parking lot and a great big match.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: And He really doesn't care.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: He does care, you know, how we act about it and how we behave.
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: It's it's it's an obedience and it's a behavioral thing, not a who has more money or less money, or you know, you know, and are you helping the poor?
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: Are you are you using your money wisely?
- 30:45SPEAKER_02: Are you taking care of people?
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: Are you caring?
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: You know, are you kind?
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: And you know, a lot of times people get money and that changes them in in a drastic way, sometimes for the worse.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: And then there's something, you know, it changes them for the good.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: So that's what I like about kingdom builders because you know it really encourages um entrepreneurs and um kingdom builders to um to thrive, yeah and not be afraid of that and and be okay and stand your found stand on that foundation because God is that foundation.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he is our foundation.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's so true.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: It's so true.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: You know, we shouldn't feel we shouldn't feel feel guilty for for you money.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: You know, I always get reminded, you know, with the with the story of the uh Proverbs 31.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: You know, when you see what uh Proverbs 31 woman was doing, she was doing a lot of things that she had uh you know, she was uh balancing a lot, she was so productive.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: And uh and if you read like uh towards the end, she was uh she did a lot, you know, she made a difference in the community.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: She she uh she scaled, you know, like she didn't just build one thing, she was scaling, she knows she knew how to balance, she knew how to delegate, you see.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: She uh she had some she she had servants who were helping her, and uh she she was rooted in God.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: That's one thing I liked about she feared God.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: So if you are rooted in God and you you fear God, you know, everything else will just be added, you know, everything else will just be so so smooth, you just run that calm, uh calm business, you know.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: You are at peace, yeah.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: Not to say challenges don't come, but you will be able to rise above them because you know whose you are.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: You are, you know, you are from God, you're Christ's child.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: So, you know, He will always be there for you and you'll guide you.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that in God's word, you know, it says that it doesn't say we're not going to have trials and tribulations, it says we are going to have trials and tribulations.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: But he's gonna, you know, if we lean on him and not our own understanding, he will see us through.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: You know, he is the provider of of of all of our navigation.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: And I love it because um I think you know, I do think that sometimes we just we forget and we get we get busy thinking that we've got to, we've got to, you know, pull our own weight.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: And God doesn't want us to do it on our own, he wants us to do it leaning on him the whole way, you know, and um with him we have the ability to do whatever we want to do, you know.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: But in ourselves, um, we can try to rise up, but then when we fail or we fall, you know, and we have that disappointment.
- 33:28SPEAKER_02: Um, I found, you know, I've I've met a lot of people that have actually gotten discouraged with God because they failed, but they forgot to take God on along on the journey.
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: They kind of left him at home.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: They said, Okay, God, I'm gonna go do this on my own.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: And then when it doesn't work out, they go running back to God, like, hey, where were you?
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Where were you?
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: That was me.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: That was you keep leaving me on the shelf, man.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: Pick up the word of God, take it with you, whatever.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: You know, I I teach that, you know, I tell a lot of people you've got to put the word of God in your hands and in your heart.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: You just, you know, you can't you can't just read it.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: We have to not just be hearers of the word.
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: Um, we have to be doers of the word.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: If we want things to turn out for us, I mean anybody can read the scripture.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, the enemy knows the scripture, the devil knows the scripture backwards and forwards, and he knows how to manipulate it.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: We're supposed to be able to use it to our to our advantage to, you know, to our good to help us to benefit the kingdom, as you will.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: And I think it's important that we focus on that instead of focusing on what we can't do.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: You know, sometimes we're too busy focusing on the can'ts instead of the cans, you know.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: And I think, you know, like um when challenges come, like obviously tribulations or or something, especially in business, you know, they expose where they're uh where they are weak systems.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: They expose, you know, something in you that needs dealing with.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: You see what I mean?
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: For me, it was like my systems in my business were so weak that I had no clear system, no processes, nothing.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Everything relied on me.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: And then uh obviously I had a lot of uh baggage on myself.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: I had not I had not healed from my past.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: So it exposed all those things.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: If I if it if if this had not happened, I would have carried on like that, suffering, you know, overwhelmed.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: I was overwhelmed, my children suffering.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: I could have lost my my children, you see.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: But that situation really actually helped me.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: It saved a lot from you know in my life because now um with the business running a seven figure like that, it's got systems and it's doing well.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: It's it's actually given me time to do other things.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: I even went on KBA, I'm doing another another course, which is amazing.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: I'm now helping other women to avoid all these things and um you know build wealth without sacrificing what matters most.
- 35:51unknown: Yeah.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but see the things that you've already encountered, you learn from, and now you can teach.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: You can teach what not to do.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: Hey, I did this, don't do, don't do this, I did this, you know.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it and it's a lesson God sometimes takes us through the storm in order, you know, to see the calm on the other side.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: And that's what happens with with these trials and tribulations.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: I think that's why he gives them, you know, look at how Job look how Job panned out.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: And he had it, he had it rough.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: He had a really rough poor guy.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: I don't wish that on anybody, but I'm telling you, I I I you know, reading that story, I remember just thinking, man, Lord, how how could you do that to such a righteous man?
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: How would you let how can you let the devil just torture him like that?
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: You know, everything but death.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: Even Job wished for death.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: He said, I would rather be strangled and be dead than to be enduring the pain that I'm suffering now.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: And I thought, man, I mean, he had suicidal thoughts.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: He was wanting death so bad.
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: And I was like, that poor man, you know.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: But God knew he could handle it.
- 36:51SPEAKER_02: He gave it, he gives it to the ones that he knows can handle it.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I think something that just um that I've been working on myself lately, that God has just kind of shown me is um we we want things in life, but we don't want to activate it.
- 37:08SPEAKER_02: Like when we get a new phone, it doesn't work unless we activate it.
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: When we get a car, if we don't turn it on, it's not activated.
- 37:14SPEAKER_02: You know, we don't get to eat unless we get up and cook the meal, you know.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: We have to be activated.
- 37:19SPEAKER_02: And sometimes even in our business, when we're trying to activate, you know, new programs, new steps, new whatever, if we're not activated in God, it's not gonna come through because the promises that God has in the Bible for us, He wants us to have all of them.
- 37:32SPEAKER_02: Think if you think about this, every one of them.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: He's not a respecter of person, he's not just gonna give it to one person and not the other.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: But he's only gonna give it to the people that are mature enough to handle it.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: If you're not in the spiritual growth level where you need to be at in order to for him to give you that promise or that gift, he's gonna hold on to it for you.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: He's gonna protect that gift and he's gonna keep it until you are spiritually grown enough to be able to handle it.
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: That's why when I I look at the promises of the Bible, I think, man, I want that promise.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: And I'm thinking, what do I gotta do to get it?
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: You know, what do I gotta do to get that promise?
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: I gotta mature in that area, you know?
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that promise.
- 38:11SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, okay, Lord, start start teaching me.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: Let me get into Proverbs, let me get into Romans, and Lord, what am I missing here, you know?
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: Because I want all the promises from the because he says he wants us all to have them, you know.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: So why don't we?
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: You know, absolutely.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: And we yeah, like you say, dear, definitely.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: We need to be, we need to be prepared.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: We need we need to be mature enough.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: Uh, because uh like like I said, you know, like if you are running a six-figure, the same person that ran a six-figure cannot run a seven-figure.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: You need to be transformed as a as a as a leader.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: That's why it's so important, even invest in yourself, you know.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Um, invest in yourself, read the word, understand, you know, uh, you know, have that relationship with God.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: You can't do it without without God, without even maturing.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Well, we also put limitations on ourselves where God doesn't limit us.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: We limit us.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: We say, well, you know, kind of like what you're saying, well, I can only run a six-figure, this is just a six-figure business.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Well, because you set that limitation.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: You didn't, you know, you didn't set the mark higher.
- 39:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: You gotta write, you gotta set it up.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: You gotta go, okay, well, I hit this figure now.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Let's let's try to hit the next one and the next one, you know.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: And don't put the limitation on yourself to where you can rise above it.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah.
- 39:32SPEAKER_02: I think a lot of times we do that to ourselves.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: We we don't we think, you know, once we hit one goal, that's that's the that's the finale.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: There is no more.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's like that when you start a business, yeah.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: When you start a business, you've got this goal to make this this much.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: And then when you have uh actually fulfilled that goal, you know, you become so tired, you know, like tired, you know, everything becomes so boring because you have not set yourself another another goal, you know, a bigger goal.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: So it's always important like to always keep setting you know bigger goals, you know, to move forward.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: You can't remain in the same place, don't limit yourself.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: God wants us to have abundance.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love I love that very much.
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: I I know that as you're going going through so so you you were sharing your story.
- 40:18SPEAKER_02: So, what was the pivotal moment where you just decided, okay, I uh you know, I'm gonna still do this, but now I'm gonna start setting my I'm gonna start setting this amount of time for God, this amount of time for my family.
- 40:29SPEAKER_02: What was the pivotal moment where you finally just said, enough is enough.
- 40:32SPEAKER_02: I have in order for me to stay healthy and to be able to continue to work like this, I I need God.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: What what was that moment for you?
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: It was it you took honest, it was um, it was after after all the healing, I and obviously healing is a process.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: There was a conference I attended, right?
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: And then uh there was this preacher uh who said, you know, most business people they start, you know, they set a vision with God.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and they but when when when they start uh you know going, you know, moving with that vision, they leave God and they start, you know, they start doing everything themselves.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: So that was like, what?
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: This is uh almost what I'm doing.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: I set this vision with God and then everything else I'm doing, it's me.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: I'm controlling everything.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: I think something needs to change, and that's the time I said, you know what?
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I I I you know sometimes I get myself so and I I work so hard, but you know, why don't I have time for God?
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: Because that preacher was saying that he literally has one day set out said for God every week.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't even have an hour, I was just like, you know, here's a couple minutes, Lord.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: A couple of minutes.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: I you know, you wake up in the morning, you say, Oh, today I'm gonna I'm going to have time, you know, I'm going to spend time with God.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: By the end of the day, you feel guilty because you have not even spent time with God because a lot of things got in the way.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: So I had to be intentional.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: I said, you know what?
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: If people do it, then I can do it.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: So what I did, I had to, you know, go back to my schedule, put, you know, just block one day just for God.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: Oh God.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: So that I can spend time with God.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: And um, yeah, in the mornings, obviously, one hour and stuff, and then in the evening.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: And this actually has helped because my son started a business and is so he is so alive, you know, he's learnt a lot from that.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Every time he wakes up, he's he's waking up in worship, in prayer, and I'm so proud, like as a mother, you know, because because some of these things you know that we do, we don't realize our children are learning from that.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: So he does that.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: He he he he does things with God, he allows the Holy Spirit to lead him every single day.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: You know, even before he goes into his meetings, he's actually seeking God, he prays the you know, he and even sometimes he shares on social media that you know uh anything I get I I have, it's not me, it's God.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: So it's so rounded, like it's so rooted in God, which is amazing.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I that was something that uh you know brought a you know a big shape, you know, in my life.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: I said, you know, uh, I've been doing things on my own.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: I I need to trust God.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: And at the beginning it was like, oh, you know, like sometimes imposter syndrome, oh, the a lot of fears and also, but that oh my god, you know, if I if I have the whole day, what's happening with the stuff?
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: But I said to myself, this got to happen.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: And then um, you know, my staff actually they respect that day, they know.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: They can't call me on that day.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: So it it swerked very well.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: And I thank God for that.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's wonderful.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: Can you share with our listeners before we start to wrap up here a little bit about um the books that you wrote?
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: And also if you could just give our listeners a little bit, just one piece of of advice that you would share with someone that might be struggling or stuck in a stronghold and they're just not sure what to do or how to get out of it.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: So I wrote two books.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, one is called Uh Roots of Resilience.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: Um, don't let your past determine your future.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, this was really like uh, you know, the story for me, you know, my story, my my life story from childhood and stuff.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: It's actually for women who have gone through pain, we've gone through rejection, disappointment, grief, you know, in order for them to realize that you know what, their struggles is not it doesn't do not define who they are.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: It's God who defines who they are.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: So God can actually create something new from whatever story you have and uh build you up and make you you know so successful.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: So don't let your past honestly uh stop you from doing what God wants you to do in your life.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I'm a living testimony.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: I managed to rise above that.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: I I used to be, you know, stuck, you know.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: I was stuck, even when I was running my business, I was stuck.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: I was feeling like, you know, uh, I'm not meant for this.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: You know, I think I'm not cut out for this entrepreneurship.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: You see, I I had those thoughts, negative uh thoughts.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: But you know, uh after I started receiving the healing, I realized, no, no, no, God wants more for me.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: You know, these are just situations that happened in my life, but God, there's a greater plan more than these situations.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: And then uh I wrote uh fearless wealth.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: It's mainly for women who want to start and grow their businesses.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: It's uh it's like a step-by-step guide.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: It will actually help you to start and grow and uh you know, you put you know, help you to lead, you lead, you lead uh lead well.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: It will also help you to um to have you know uh manage your business and uh and your your family, you have more time with God, more time with your family, and uh yeah, and also protect your well-being.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that's the that's the book.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: So something I want to I would say to to the viewers is that you know um right.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: Uh don't let fear decide for you.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: Fear should never decide for you anything, you know, in anything.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter what uh stronghold you have, you know, it doesn't matter what you have gone through, don't let fear uh decide for you.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Uh don't make decisions in based on fear, just uh you know, focus on God.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Uh go to the word.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: If you are doubting something, just go to the word.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: What does God say about this?
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: Uh and we are so blessed as Christians because there is nothing not in the Bible, everything is in the Bible, uh-huh.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: You know, uh build building where wealth God's way, it's there in the Bible, and uh God has the word for it.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: You know, if you want to read the whole of Deuteronomy, it will show it will help you as a businesswoman, you will grow your business and you'll be able to uh to manage uh you know your business well and be successful.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so don't let fear, you know, decide anything for you.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: You are you are a child of God, God is a great plan for you.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: So yeah, let God decide for you.
- 47:58SPEAKER_02: That's wonderful because fear is it, like I said, is one of the strongest strongholds that we do face.
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: Can you tell our listeners how they can find you and where they could find your books at so they can order a book from you?
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can find me on uh Facebook.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: Um you can just type my name, Priscilla Macopa, or you can find me on Instagram, Coach Priscilla, uh Coach Priscilla Mark.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: And then um you can also find um me on YouTube.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: I've got some videos on there.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: And then uh to buy my books, you can go on Amazon, just type uh Roots of Resilience.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: That's the first book, and then the second book is uh Fearless Wealth.
- 48:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, even if you type my name, Priscilla Macopa, they will both come up and you can purchase.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, with each episode, I will put all of that, all of that information in the show notes.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: All they have to do is just click it.
- 48:53SPEAKER_02: They can just click it and it'll be right there.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: That information will be all there for you.
- 48:57SPEAKER_02: And um definitely like to make sure that we're um, you know, we have to straighten each other's crowns and build each other up.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: That's what women do, you know, that's what empowers us to be who we are and in our walk with Christ.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: And I think it's it's wonderful.
- 49:11SPEAKER_02: Um, I think your testimony is great.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: And um, I love that you're not afraid to say, hey, you know, I'm a power horse.
- 49:17SPEAKER_02: I worked really hard, but I was leaving something behind, and that was God.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: And sometimes we don't, we we are afraid to admit those facts when we do that, you know.
- 49:26SPEAKER_02: And I know for myself, there's many times I took off out the door and left God behind, you know, and I was like, oh, what am I missing?
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: And my grandma, my grandma one time, my grandma and grandpa were married 70 years.
- 49:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 49:38SPEAKER_02: Um, she just passed away in March, but and my grandpa about seven years ago.
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: But anyhow, one time she she made the greatest illustration, like you said, we learned from the people that raise us.
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: And she ran out the door.
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: She she worked right down the road um at a school.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: She was a teacher, but she was only a block and a half away, so she'd just walk, right?
- 49:57SPEAKER_02: And she was kind of in a hurry, came home for lunch, and then she was leaving, and she ran out the door, and she ran right back in the door.
- 50:03SPEAKER_02: And I thought, oh my goodness, what did she forget?
- 50:05SPEAKER_02: And she went, she went over to her husband and she said, I forgot to give you a kiss goodbye.
- 50:09SPEAKER_02: And I was like, it was the sweetest thing ever.
- 50:11SPEAKER_02: She goes, You don't ever leave without kissing your your loved one, your honey, goodbye.
- 50:16SPEAKER_02: She said, you know, and I thought that is so sweet.
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: And that's how we should be with God.
- 50:20SPEAKER_02: We shouldn't be walking out without him.
- 50:22SPEAKER_02: And if we do, we need to run back in and get him, you know.
- 50:25SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, because sometimes we do forget, you know, just run back in and get him, you know, God's merciful.
- 50:30SPEAKER_02: And so it just reminded me, you know, she she just set that illustration for me.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: And I thought, that is just wonderful, so sweet, you know.
- 50:37SPEAKER_02: And if we could have that kind of intimacy with with with our our heavenly father, could you just imagine how much, you know, how many promises and how many how how much um our relationship and our our our spiritual growth would be, it'd be amazing.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: So it is amazing.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's true.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: Um, my son always shares that, you know, um, as uh, you know, many people when they ask God, they ask God for money, um, for money.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: But what what Solomon asked for was wisdom.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: So this is what we have to learn as uh as Christian business women.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: We need to always be asking God for wisdom each and every day, you know.
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: Um, wisdom and discernment, because there's some opportunities that may come as well, you know.
- 51:24SPEAKER_02: Well, God already gave us the God already has the wisdom for us to to earn the money.
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: Yes, we have the ability to earn the money or or raise the money or get the money or whatever.
- 51:35SPEAKER_02: Um that's why we need the wis wisdom.
- 51:38SPEAKER_02: But I love Second Corinthians, which goes with my podcast Crushing Strongholds, because um, when we're facing strongholds, but we have to take everything to the knowledge of God.
- 51:47SPEAKER_02: We have to take it so if you have a decision and you want to run with something, take it to the word, take it to God and and and ask him to verify it.
- 51:56SPEAKER_02: Say, I want to take this to your knowledge.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: And this way, if it doesn't line up, then you know that's you know, that's where your discernment comes in and where God's you know showing you, hey, that's probably not gonna be what you should be doing, or go for it, you know, whatever God's take it to the knowledge of God.
- 52:13SPEAKER_02: And and that again comes through wisdom.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: Because if you don't have the wisdom and the know-how to do that, then you're just gonna take off running and you won't know what you're doing.
- 52:20SPEAKER_02: Which I've done that many times in my life.
- 52:24SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, oh, I gotta go back to the drawing board.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: I have no clue what I'm doing here.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, bless.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, thank you so much for sharing that.
- 52:32SPEAKER_00: I've learned that.
- 52:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: We learned.
- 52:37SPEAKER_02: I always like to include a couple freebies.
- 52:39SPEAKER_02: No, I'm just kidding, you know, when we as as we coach people, um, I have a couple of people that I've that I've had on my show, and I one lady was was sharing some of her testimony and she said, I gotta be quiet.
- 52:50SPEAKER_02: I'm giving away all of my coaching for free here.
- 52:55SPEAKER_02: And then I was like, Oh, I go I go, yeah, you you don't have to do that, but thank you.
- 52:59SPEAKER_02: You know, and she was like, she's like, it's just so easy just to talk, but I gotta, I gotta stop.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: She said, give them away.
- 53:10SPEAKER_02: I said, Yeah, but you're drawing people in because now people want more of what you got.
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: So yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 53:18SPEAKER_02: Well, Priscilla, thank you so much for coming on.
- 53:20SPEAKER_02: I've really enjoyed getting to talk to you and and know you, and thank you for sharing your story.
- 53:25SPEAKER_02: And gosh, your son just sounds like a beautiful young man.
- 53:27SPEAKER_02: And your your your family's you have beautiful children anyway.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: They're beautiful.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: I've seen pictures of your family.
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, very blessed family you have, and how exciting to be able to watch them grow and and and follow after God's heart.
- 53:41SPEAKER_02: That's something that we just desire for our children, and you just never know what's gonna what that outcome is gonna be.
- 53:46SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 53:47SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah.
- 53:48SPEAKER_02: So I'm I mean, what a what a great testimony.
- 53:50SPEAKER_02: I'm glad that you share that with us, and that's super exciting.
- 53:53SPEAKER_02: And um, I know you're a very, very busy lady.
- 53:56SPEAKER_02: You have a lot on your plate and you have a lot going for you, but I just love that you just are just so willing to share that, you know, God is the ultimate answer, you know.
- 54:06SPEAKER_02: And I think that's amazing.
- 54:07SPEAKER_02: So thank you for that and your time.
- 54:09SPEAKER_02: And um, we do need to wrap up, but I just wanted to say, you know, I really appreciated you coming on here.
- 54:14SPEAKER_02: I will put all of the information about your books in the show notes and where they can find them and and whatnot, and for your coaching program.
- 54:22SPEAKER_02: Um, can you just share real quickly a little bit about your coaching program, kind of what you offer with your coaching program?
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: With the coaching program, I because I help women who ambitious Christian business women grow their businesses um without sacrificing family time and time with God and uh and their peace.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: So my coaching program is mainly, you know, like how can we double the income that you have so that you know, without you sacrificing what matters most, right?
- 54:55SPEAKER_00: So uh, you know, it's got it's got um uh different, you know, different uh classes on there, there are different courses, some it's about balancing, some it's about business growth.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: The other one is um mainly about uh you know go building you know your business towards way.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: So yeah, so that's my coaching program.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 55:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
