- 0:08Speaker 1: Well on this week where nail salons around Australia go
- 0:11Speaker 1: into morning because so much of the population has to
- 0:14Speaker 1: keep their nails short. For the next eight months, we
- 0:17Speaker 1: are back to netfall. We are going to be talking
- 0:20Speaker 1: about Jamaica and the Sunshine Girls. We are going to
- 0:22Speaker 1: be talking about some sun Corp Super Netball preseason action
- 0:26Speaker 1: that is already happening. You are with No Dribble and
- 0:29Speaker 1: welcome back. Hello and welcome to No Dribble. We're so excited.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It's twenty twenty six. We've had a long summer break.
- 0:49Speaker 1: We've missed each other. I'm Caroline Swindell, I'm Catcoms.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And Lose Allas.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We'm back, baby, we are back.
- 0:57Speaker 3: How excited.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It feels like a really long time.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I even I miss I have missed the Dribblers. I
- 1:03Speaker 3: was on Facebook the other day and I was like,
- 1:04Speaker 3: I'm going to write them a message. I don't often know,
- 1:07Speaker 3: but I genuinely have missed everybody. So this is very exciting.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That was beautiful.
- 1:12Speaker 3: It's from the heart.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You are an angel and you're dressed all in white.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I'm very angelic today and I was.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Going to say, you know what I call dressing in
- 1:20Speaker 2: white brave asking for trouble.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Brave you have there's one person who can.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Pull it off. You are an outfit looking for coffee
- 1:30Speaker 2: and tomato sauce.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Catherine, Well, you are a spiller, though I would typically don't.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I'm going to seriously spill this now.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, well let me ask sod. Did we spill anything
- 1:41Speaker 1: on herself at the Australian Open Women's Final on Saturday
- 1:44Speaker 1: night where you two were quite fancy, pad I don't believe.
- 1:48Speaker 3: She did, actually, but she's smart these days, and that
- 1:50Speaker 3: she wears lots of bright colors and multi colors, so
- 1:53Speaker 3: if she does kind of just blends blends in.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yes, I wear things that are easily rincible. Would give
- 1:59Speaker 2: ourselves tidy, didn't we? Not? Like old times? Catsine? We
- 2:02Speaker 2: did have this conversation very tidy.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Do you know what's funny?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Though?
- 2:06Speaker 3: I reckon there was some thought into the selection of
- 2:10Speaker 3: which game we went to, because once you get into
- 2:13Speaker 3: like we're very lucky, we get spoilt. So we're in
- 2:15Speaker 3: this beautiful suite and it's all the best drinks and
- 2:17Speaker 3: all the best food and all that sort of stuff,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and you never say no to good wine. So it's
- 2:21Speaker 3: coming around we're drinking. But had that been a job,
- 2:25Speaker 3: it is, right, had that been the men's game, where
- 2:29Speaker 3: potentially is happening for five hours, I think they thought,
- 2:32Speaker 3: oh listen, cath Will, maybe we just invite them to
- 2:35Speaker 3: the women's aus. We know it's going to be a
- 2:36Speaker 3: lot short less damage to.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Keep the bill down. Yeah, yeah, keep my PR team
- 2:42Speaker 1: not as busy. I think you saw the best of
- 2:44Speaker 1: the game, so like that was an amazing game.
- 2:46Speaker 2: It was, and I don't know if it comes across
- 2:50Speaker 2: or on televisions, feel like netball, right, Sometimes you go
- 2:52Speaker 2: to a game and you think to yourself, wow, this
- 2:54Speaker 2: it doesn't look like this. I'm telly Tennis is the same.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You don't get a sense on the Telly of just
- 3:00Speaker 2: how hard they hit it. You know, sometimes you watch
- 3:01Speaker 2: on the telling you I could have returned that serve.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I didn't think that once. When I was sitting in
- 3:06Speaker 2: the stands on Saturday night.
- 3:08Speaker 3: We could commentate it though, without a doubt. Nice Liz
- 3:11Speaker 3: and I were both like, oh, oh that's pretty easy.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Really well, Catherine, I am going to help you out here.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Commentary is not as easy as going.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Oh oh on.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You actually have to put a little more analysis in
- 3:25Speaker 2: there than that.
- 3:26Speaker 3: We were laughing though, because we were just doing that naturally,
- 3:28Speaker 3: as were most of the people we were sitting with.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm like, how do you actually commentate this game? Because
- 3:33Speaker 3: a lot of it is, you know, the oos and
- 3:34Speaker 3: the r's that come off the back of these great shots.
- 3:37Speaker 3: But it was a very very good game, as was
- 3:39Speaker 3: the Men's Last Night.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Isn't here some sort of ridiculously high proportion of American
- 3:45Speaker 1: men who think they could return a serve from Serena
- 3:48Speaker 1: Williams just because she's a woman. But it's like, have
- 3:52Speaker 1: you seen the power in that? It's insane?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, have you seen the guys who's there's a video
- 3:58Speaker 2: you have a look on YouTube of guys who who
- 4:02Speaker 2: lined up to do it, and Serena almost blasted holes
- 4:05Speaker 2: in them, like I feared for their safety and they're in.
- 4:09Speaker 3: God, I'm going to watch that for sure. I think
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'd take a lot of joy from that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Oh look, but I do think so, I can I
- 4:14Speaker 2: just say I do think though, that they were very
- 4:17Speaker 2: fortunate to have a net in between them, because I
- 4:19Speaker 2: think if you challenge Serena Williams and question how strong
- 4:22Speaker 2: she is, I suspect she may tear you limb from limb.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So I think that they made a very smart move.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Standing at the other end of the court, gave him
- 4:28Speaker 2: a thirty metere head start.
- 4:30Speaker 3: You would love to do it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Though, wouldn't you just to see no, no, no, oh
- 4:33Speaker 1: my god, I'd have it in front my face. The
- 4:36Speaker 1: guys from the Footy Show were in the nets with
- 4:38Speaker 1: the fast bowlers at one time. I remember that and
- 4:41Speaker 1: I think it was the New South Wales quicks. It
- 4:43Speaker 1: wasn't even the Australian quicks, but you know, the New
- 4:45Speaker 1: South Wales Quicks are off in the Australia and it's terrifying.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Like I just I think that the speed of that ball.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I went to a lot of cricket over the summer
- 4:52Speaker 1: and it's like to be able to sit down low
- 4:55Speaker 1: and watch the speed of that ball and think it's
- 4:57Speaker 1: really brave to be out there facing that.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So many many years ago I played in a charity
- 5:03Speaker 2: cricket match and I faced shoulb Acta, remember him, the
- 5:10Speaker 2: role Pindi Ypress right, So he was lovely and he
- 5:14Speaker 2: just said to me, I'll take a short run off
- 5:17Speaker 2: because I said I don't play cricket, And there was
- 5:20Speaker 2: some like I have to be concerned about the safety,
- 5:22Speaker 2: right because those balls get injured. Yes, so he took
- 5:24Speaker 2: maybe a four set runoff instead of his usual like
- 5:29Speaker 2: thirty meter run up. Anyway, the ball had rattled my
- 5:32Speaker 2: starts before I realized that it left his hat. It
- 5:36Speaker 2: was It's awful.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So we were fully padded, then, weren't we? Like they
- 5:41Speaker 3: had had all the equipment on, which is even harder
- 5:44Speaker 3: because there's so much equipment is actually quite hard to move. Remember,
- 5:48Speaker 3: I faced George Gregan, footballer, not even a bowler, and
- 5:52Speaker 3: it's proper cricket ball. Ye, that is scary and I
- 5:55Speaker 3: don't know how probably because I'm not a cricketer and
- 5:57Speaker 3: my stance was appalling. But it went through the one
- 6:00Speaker 3: little gap that didn't have a pat on it and
- 6:02Speaker 3: I had a well remember that wealth on the league
- 6:05Speaker 3: from George Greagan bowling to me. Haven't been on a
- 6:09Speaker 3: cricket pitch since.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I played a game of cricket with George Gregan once
- 6:12Speaker 1: when I was at the Brumbies, we had like a
- 6:14Speaker 1: staff Christmas party and I bowled one ball and I
- 6:18Speaker 1: just kind of tripped over my feet. And then yet
- 6:22Speaker 1: John Howard was the worst, and I'm not. I find
- 6:27Speaker 1: the move very sort of counterintuitive anyway. And then and
- 6:32Speaker 1: you know, I'm I'm the sponsorship manager. I've got some
- 6:36Speaker 1: level of court of authority and credibility with these guys,
- 6:40Speaker 1: and I just and it was one of those falls
- 6:42Speaker 1: that you go, I don't know how she's still falling
- 6:45Speaker 1: when she's completely on the ground already. But happy day
- 6:51Speaker 1: i'd have shown.
- 6:52Speaker 3: There's no footage of that.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm really happy there's not any footage of that one. Actually,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm almost feeling the burn or again in the face.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You know, there are some things that you just go,
- 7:02Speaker 1: that is a moment that I really wish had never happened.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I don't get embarrassed that easily. But that was just
- 7:09Speaker 1: watercluts cracker.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Hey, Now, before we kick off a new year, because
- 7:14Speaker 3: it's going to be a big year, there's some stuff
- 7:17Speaker 3: that needs addressing.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Is this the airing of the grievances? I think you'll
- 7:21Speaker 1: find that's a December activity.
- 7:22Speaker 3: No, I no, it's happening now because I just want
- 7:24Speaker 3: to set the scene and the pace for twenty twenty six.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I've got your present.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Oh, I like, great, Carolyn, there you go, Thank you
- 7:34Speaker 1: it's a black and white tea towel.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Well, what's actually the purpose is for a handtwel. So
- 7:40Speaker 3: for those of you that don't know, we moved into
- 7:41Speaker 3: our new studio midway through last year and it's basically
- 7:46Speaker 3: a guest quarters. Yes, yes, yes, and it's got a
- 7:49Speaker 3: little on suite and you know I like to we
- 7:52Speaker 3: often guys and I duck into the en suite during
- 7:55Speaker 3: the show. There's never been a handtowel in there, so
- 7:58Speaker 3: every time I dry my hands or the showercun.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So two things. This is a gift for yourself then,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and also a statement about my housekeep housekeeping abilities which
- 8:10Speaker 1: I've never claimed to have any expertise in. But thank you, Catherine.
- 8:13Speaker 1: It's lovely and you're welcome to use this. Well see
- 8:16Speaker 1: the reason there's no toils in there. I'm sorry about that,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but usually, like whenever you have guests, you put fresh
- 8:21Speaker 1: toawls in and then when you clean the sheets and whatever,
- 8:23Speaker 1: you take all the tails out. So it's not really
- 8:26Speaker 1: apart from you, it's not a functioning bathroom unless.
- 8:28Speaker 3: We have I did know that, but I just thought
- 8:31Speaker 3: I would.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I appreciate you, thank you very much. I appreciate this
- 8:35Speaker 1: very backhand.
- 8:41Speaker 2: That given that Catherine's giving you that, Carolyn, I actually
- 8:43Speaker 2: think she needs to be responsible for washing it every
- 8:46Speaker 2: couple of weeks.
- 8:47Speaker 1: She needs to be responsible. That's a nice time to
- 8:49Speaker 1: laundering it.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, oh my god, it's like being back in
- 8:53Speaker 3: the olden days where you had to take the bibs
- 8:54Speaker 3: home and wash them.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Hey, one thing before we met. I know you've got
- 8:58Speaker 1: a list of things you want to talk. But big
- 9:00Speaker 1: thanks to everybody who came on our summer series. I
- 9:03Speaker 1: just thought it was fabulous. We have to have a
- 9:05Speaker 1: big thanks to Hannah Petty who did come on our
- 9:07Speaker 1: summer series, and then we had some type of when
- 9:10Speaker 1: we were listening when we were doing the interview, her
- 9:12Speaker 1: audio was great, wasn't it? And then when we played
- 9:14Speaker 1: it back it wasn't usable. So for all of our
- 9:17Speaker 1: Tea Birds fans, we will try to get Hannah back
- 9:19Speaker 1: at some stage. And for everybody who's writing to me
- 9:21Speaker 1: saying when is Kate Maloney coming on the summer series,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I hear you, we hear your feedback. Thank you very much.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So I'd love to have Kate Maloney too, fang girl.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But thank you to our wonderful guests have a.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Very good won't they. Hey, Now, before we get to
- 9:39Speaker 2: talk about netball, I want to talk a little bit
- 9:42Speaker 2: about an experience that I had in my summer holiday.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So I went to Tazzy. I didn't actually run into
- 9:50Speaker 2: any dribblers, run into some lovely lady. Weird, No, isn't it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I mean, tas is a small place. I thought it
- 9:55Speaker 2: would be infested with dribblers.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Turns out it's not, particularly because they knew you were coming.
- 10:00Speaker 2: This is true.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Why were they waiting for you at the gates?
- 10:03Speaker 2: Well, I don't know, and I expected our.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Path to be gates.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I drove through those gates as we drove off the
- 10:11Speaker 2: Spirit of Tasmania ferry, which Carolyn you very kindly pointed
- 10:16Speaker 2: out when I posted a little photo on my I've
- 10:18Speaker 2: got a little like family Instagram page that you two
- 10:21Speaker 2: are on, and we caught the Spirit of Tasmania across
- 10:25Speaker 2: and as Carolyn you pointed out, it's actually a really
- 10:27Speaker 2: good way to give the kids the cruise experience without
- 10:30Speaker 2: the cruise. So the Spirit of Tasmania doesn't have water slides, comedians,
- 10:34Speaker 2: entertainment other than a cinema, does.
- 10:36Speaker 1: It have gastro though.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yes, no, none of that, None of that. We did
- 10:40Speaker 2: steer clear of the food options. O. We ate before
- 10:42Speaker 2: it went on, and then we slept over and yt
- 10:45Speaker 2: and then so yes, I thought, I thought the dribblers
- 10:47Speaker 2: would have, you know, festooned my path with rose petals
- 10:50Speaker 2: or something. But you know, it turns out Tass is
- 10:52Speaker 2: a bit bigger and it looks on the map. So
- 10:54Speaker 2: we did spend a lot of time.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You had an amazing trip.
- 10:57Speaker 2: We did, I think we. I think that the term
- 11:00Speaker 2: is we sucked the marrow at a tazzy It was phenomenal.
- 11:03Speaker 2: We did everything. We climbed Cradle Mountain and your score
- 11:07Speaker 2: was Cradle Mountain one is zero. So anyone who's ever
- 11:13Speaker 2: climbed Cradle Mountain you would know that the last hour
- 11:17Speaker 2: is a straight up rock scramble.
- 11:19Speaker 3: And how many hours first or hour is the last hour?
- 11:23Speaker 2: Well, the last hour of the way up. Let me say, so,
- 11:26Speaker 2: like how many hours the whole thing took us? Just
- 11:29Speaker 2: under nine hours? What it's a big day, right, So
- 11:35Speaker 2: on the way up is when I is when I
- 11:38Speaker 2: may have I very nearly ended up?
- 11:40Speaker 3: Do you get don same way?
- 11:43Speaker 2: I had that thought? Actually halfway up? So I'll tell
- 11:46Speaker 2: you about the last bit first. So the last part
- 11:48Speaker 2: is like a rock scrambled straight up And I looked
- 11:50Speaker 2: up at one point and saw the soles of my
- 11:53Speaker 2: son's shoes and his butt, and I thought, is this
- 11:55Speaker 2: good parenting? Because if he falls like he's gone, I'm gone.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Because on me, I had a moment.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I think it's better than that giant tree you let
- 12:03Speaker 1: Evelyn climb in Western Australia.
- 12:06Speaker 2: This is true. I think they've shut that down now, sadly,
- 12:08Speaker 2: the Bison ten yearal tree. I think because for safety reasons. Anyway,
- 12:12Speaker 2: I let my ten year old at the time scramble
- 12:14Speaker 2: off it. I'm not a very good I'm no good
- 12:16Speaker 2: at assessing like safety all over it.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you would be.
- 12:20Speaker 2: All over you.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Oh there are hazards everywhere here. We should immediately go
- 12:25Speaker 1: back to the hotel bar.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you would have pulled the pin very early. But
- 12:29Speaker 2: I had a moment. I thought, Okay, the kids are
- 12:31Speaker 2: killing this. They're going to get up and back. I
- 12:33Speaker 2: may not bet down. And there was one particular part
- 12:36Speaker 2: of the scramble and I thought, I bet I can't
- 12:37Speaker 2: get down there on the way back, and sure enough
- 12:39Speaker 2: I had to. Like it was like solving a Rubik's
- 12:42Speaker 2: cube with Matthew about where I was going to put
- 12:43Speaker 2: my feet on the way down, and then I saw
- 12:45Speaker 2: a lady lot older than me coming after me, and
- 12:48Speaker 2: I was like, oh God, I've got to get down
- 12:49Speaker 2: because I can't have anyone older than me showing me
- 12:51Speaker 2: the way down. So anyway, it was full on and
- 12:55Speaker 2: we were sore for days. But on the way up,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I had because I knew we were going to have
- 13:00Speaker 2: like an eight hour track or a nine hour trek,
- 13:02Speaker 2: I had Austin's school bag, which is not a proper
- 13:06Speaker 2: drekking hiking bag, but.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Some lightweight little day pack.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah. I just had his added as backpack like blue
- 13:14Speaker 2: on my back, and it was full of drip bottles
- 13:15Speaker 2: and food because I was like mattheono o carry the
- 13:18Speaker 2: heavy star from the kids. Can just carry sandwiches and
- 13:20Speaker 2: snacks and things. So there was one part. So the
- 13:23Speaker 2: way we decided to go up was the hard way,
- 13:26Speaker 2: and there was like a rock scramble there and then
- 13:28Speaker 2: more sort of there's this face track that goes sort
- 13:30Speaker 2: of along the face of Cradle Matt and if you
- 13:32Speaker 2: have a look at it, all those beautiful cliffs that
- 13:33Speaker 2: sort of wanders along the bottom, but it's quite hard.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It's harder than I thought it would be. And there
- 13:38Speaker 2: was this part where I had to sort of navigate
- 13:41Speaker 2: around a large boulder and there was like a fifteen
- 13:45Speaker 2: minute meter drop next to me. And as I was
- 13:48Speaker 2: navigating around it, I sort of bent over. And this
- 13:52Speaker 2: not very stable, not built for hiking backpack, all the
- 13:54Speaker 2: weight shifted just took me. So I fell and I
- 14:00Speaker 2: used my forearm to stop me this. I've got a
- 14:02Speaker 2: little scar there, but it was like I cut the
- 14:06Speaker 2: shit out of my forearm. And because I could see
- 14:09Speaker 2: this drop, I went slow motion. So I sort of
- 14:11Speaker 2: dropped onto my forearm then and I heard everyone going mom,
- 14:15Speaker 2: because I was walking with her In Matthew and Austin
- 14:17Speaker 2: had taken up off the track, and I sort of
- 14:19Speaker 2: rolled and I rolled into this bush and I looked
- 14:23Speaker 2: down and through the branches of this bush, I can
- 14:26Speaker 2: see this drop, believe, So I very slowly roll back
- 14:32Speaker 2: and I stood up and oh my god, I would
- 14:34Speaker 2: have had to be airlifted out of you. Like I
- 14:35Speaker 2: wouldn't have died, but it would have hinted me. Anyway,
- 14:38Speaker 2: I walked along and everyone's like, mom, Mom, you're and
- 14:40Speaker 2: there was blood dripping off my arm, so I couldn'tly
- 14:43Speaker 2: found a stream and just stuck it in the stream,
- 14:45Speaker 2: and then got a spare shirt out that I had
- 14:47Speaker 2: and wrapped it around it. And I had to just
- 14:49Speaker 2: walk along and pretend that nothing had happened because I
- 14:51Speaker 2: didn't want to freak her out. And then when I
- 14:53Speaker 2: saw Austin, I didn't want to freak him out. I
- 14:55Speaker 2: knew had freak Matthew out. I just had to pretend
- 14:57Speaker 2: that nothing had happened until at the end of the
- 14:59Speaker 2: day I sort of unwear this shirt and there was
- 15:02Speaker 2: blood everywhere. Anyway, it turned out fine, But that was
- 15:05Speaker 2: a very big day and I questioned a lot of
- 15:08Speaker 2: my life choices during that ad our process.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And this is a paid segment by Tourism tas Mate.
- 15:15Speaker 2: But I will say it was amazing to get to
- 15:18Speaker 2: the top. We had to scramble past snow. It was beautiful,
- 15:21Speaker 2: like I've never done anything so hard, but and we
- 15:24Speaker 2: did a lot of trecks on our big trip. It's
- 15:26Speaker 2: the hardest hike we've ever done. But it was so
- 15:30Speaker 2: beautiful and so amazing and absolutely worth every piece of
- 15:34Speaker 2: skin I left up there. But what I wanted to
- 15:37Speaker 2: tell you about was a funnalle interaction that I had
- 15:39Speaker 2: in Tuzzy when. So the thing we say caravan is
- 15:43Speaker 2: we have a toilet and a shower and a washing machine,
- 15:46Speaker 2: so it's like a little resort on wheels. But with
- 15:48Speaker 2: the toilet, you don't plug it in anywhere. You actually
- 15:50Speaker 2: have to empty it. And we've got a compost toilet,
- 15:53Speaker 2: so you do your number two is in one holy
- 15:56Speaker 2: number ones and the other and the number ones you
- 15:58Speaker 2: weeze go into a bottle job to empty the piss
- 16:01Speaker 2: bottle because I'm the one that uses it the most.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So I have to do the walk of shame at
- 16:07Speaker 2: caravan parks or free camps or if we are to
- 16:09Speaker 2: the dump point, to empty the piss bottle. And I'm
- 16:12Speaker 2: quite comfortable with that because it's you know, I'm happy
- 16:15Speaker 2: to do it.
- 16:15Speaker 1: But I don't make this is a story where she
- 16:18Speaker 1: falls over like she's playing cricket with the rummies.
- 16:21Speaker 3: And he goes everywhere.
- 16:24Speaker 2: That's not that mortifying, Carol and you in that. But
- 16:26Speaker 2: I don't make eye contact, right, so I just put
- 16:29Speaker 2: my eyes down. And the unspoken rule of the dump
- 16:32Speaker 2: point is that you don't make small talk. You don't
- 16:34Speaker 2: make eye contact. You just empty your dump stuff at
- 16:36Speaker 2: the dumb point and that's it, and you rinse it
- 16:38Speaker 2: out and you turn around, you go back, and you
- 16:39Speaker 2: hope they're not too much splashed on your shoes or
- 16:41Speaker 2: your clothes. As I'm walking along, this bloke from a
- 16:45Speaker 2: caravan near us calls out to me, Oh, that's a
- 16:48Speaker 2: long way away from your netball duties.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Oh god, is this bottle see through? You're judging the
- 16:56Speaker 3: color of your weeds.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Bluice it right, so you know everyone knows. When you
- 17:01Speaker 2: see someone walk past with the with the wee body,
- 17:03Speaker 2: you're like, oh, there's a pisce wat or walk of shame.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And the kids say, we all laugh about it because
- 17:07Speaker 2: everyone laughs at me doing it. But not only do
- 17:10Speaker 2: I not want to make eye contact, The very last
- 17:13Speaker 2: thing I want is anyone to talk to me about
- 17:16Speaker 2: what I do when I'm not carrying the abas bottle.
- 17:20Speaker 1: See maybe the dribblers did see you and have such
- 17:24Speaker 1: respect for the unspoken rules of this horrendous holiday, by
- 17:28Speaker 1: the way, like would you are you down for this
- 17:31Speaker 1: at all? Anything where you have to deal with your
- 17:32Speaker 1: own bodily waste is not a.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Holiday for me. Well, but if I'm dealing with anyone
- 17:37Speaker 3: else's bodily waste, it's.
- 17:38Speaker 2: A hard Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 1: What about immediate family like lists.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Like my kid? Yeah, yeah, I'm not touching anyone else.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Now, I just me and my kids. But no, like
- 17:47Speaker 2: other people don't come into our caravan to we it's
- 17:49Speaker 2: just mean.
- 17:50Speaker 1: You have two able bodied children. Yes, why are they
- 17:53Speaker 1: not learning these jobs?
- 17:55Speaker 2: It's an excellent question because I know them well. I
- 17:57Speaker 2: know that Austin, who's nine, would spill it and I'd
- 18:00Speaker 2: end up cleaning up more and ever id that? Oh well,
- 18:05Speaker 2: the Pooh's interesting, right, and you guys ask for this,
- 18:08Speaker 2: So here we are the Pooh composts. So you buy
- 18:10Speaker 2: this stuff from Bunnings and you sort of activate it
- 18:13Speaker 2: and you put it in like the number two hole
- 18:15Speaker 2: goes into this like tub and then it's got as
- 18:18Speaker 2: like a compost handle and you just turn it and
- 18:20Speaker 2: after a few months it just becomes soil.
- 18:23Speaker 3: But then you have to empty it still at some point.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you only emptied every few months, and we actually,
- 18:28Speaker 2: even though we can use it, we try not to.
- 18:30Speaker 2: It's only an emergencies only.
- 18:34Speaker 1: This is very interesting. You have ruined the whole show
- 18:37Speaker 1: because we have a new segment and we'll talk about
- 18:39Speaker 1: this later, but we have a segment coming up, and
- 18:42Speaker 1: this was going to be one of the points of discussion,
- 18:44Speaker 1: but you, without knowing it, have pre emptied. Like Cath
- 18:47Speaker 1: and I are looking at our scripts and sort of scripts,
- 18:51Speaker 1: looking at the crappy bits of notes that I've scrabbled
- 18:54Speaker 1: down on a piece of paper and going hmm, that's interesting.
- 18:57Speaker 1: But anyway, we will talk about the new segment later.
- 19:00Speaker 2: So there you go. I'm sorry to ruin everything, but
- 19:02Speaker 2: the holiday was fantastic. Even though there was lots of
- 19:04Speaker 2: hiking and empty of piss bottles, there was also lots
- 19:06Speaker 2: of wine, drinking, food eating. Went to the Hurricanes v
- 19:11Speaker 2: heat in Hobart. That was fantastic, wet out, lots of history,
- 19:14Speaker 2: lots of convict history, lots of cruisers, lots of bike riding.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Did I talk about eating? I really We did not
- 19:21Speaker 2: drive past a pie shop. There is very few fantastic
- 19:26Speaker 2: bakeries in Yeah. Great, and so the chass He is
- 19:30Speaker 2: famous for its scollop pies scott pies. I ate a
- 19:34Speaker 2: lot of curried scollop pies and they were superb. The
- 19:37Speaker 2: best scollop pie I ate was actually in a tiny
- 19:41Speaker 2: little butcher in a town whose name I can't remember.
- 19:44Speaker 2: You think I'd figured this out before we came on
- 19:46Speaker 2: the show. Anyway, we ate a lot of pies and
- 19:48Speaker 2: they were all fantastic.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Ah, well, welcome back, welcome, very nice to have you back.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Now they only get to have the great meat from
- 19:56Speaker 3: the fresh produce on the farm.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I think, a great time to have had this holiday too.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So my son's just started year twelve and he's moved
- 20:05Speaker 1: into boarding school, and it's like, hang on, weren't you
- 20:08Speaker 1: born a minute ago and now? And so you know,
- 20:13Speaker 1: we will have some family holidays again. And what I
- 20:15Speaker 1: have learned from my two step daughters is that if
- 20:18Speaker 1: you dangle a nice overseas holiday in front of your
- 20:21Speaker 1: adult children, often they will find time in their busy
- 20:23Speaker 1: schedules to come with you. So that's good. But yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 1: it's sort of like this. It just time just evaporates.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It's something in a one minute they're nine and then
- 20:33Speaker 1: the next minute they're driving, and it's like, hang on,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm not ready for this. I'm not done with this.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Because, as I keep saying, we have an age.
- 20:40Speaker 1: No exactly how does it happen? What is this time
- 20:43Speaker 1: for tex?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Yeah? But he's enjoying it.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Yees, so far, so far, and you're not enjoying it.
- 20:49Speaker 3: How many times have you cried yourself to sleep?
- 20:52Speaker 1: I just know there are reminders at night of why
- 20:55Speaker 1: it's actually quite good. That it's like, well, I don't
- 20:57Speaker 1: have to be going up the hallway going give me
- 20:59Speaker 1: your phone, give me your life laptop, it's time to
- 21:00Speaker 1: go to sleep. Okay, that half hours passed, give me
- 21:03Speaker 1: your phone, give me your laptop. It's time to go
- 21:06Speaker 1: to sleep. So it's sort of like I can just
- 21:08Speaker 1: go to bed now. But anyway, we're coping. He's five
- 21:10Speaker 1: minutes down the road. It's I can. I can pull
- 21:13Speaker 1: myself together. But you know, I looked at this holiday
- 21:15Speaker 1: of yours and putting the four of you in the caravan,
- 21:18Speaker 1: setting aside all of those toilet details that I didn't
- 21:22Speaker 1: understand at the time, and I envied you. I looked
- 21:24Speaker 1: at it and went, not only are you having a
- 21:26Speaker 1: spectacular time around Tasmania, this is a beautiful little family
- 21:30Speaker 1: holiday where you are in one another's space.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yes, and with the four en year old daughter, they
- 21:35Speaker 2: are fast Those days are fast ending. I think I
- 21:38Speaker 2: don't know how many more holidays. And again like she's
- 21:41Speaker 2: she wants to sleep in in the holidays, doesn't want
- 21:42Speaker 2: me dragging your ad a bit. See, and I'm going
- 21:44Speaker 2: come on, we've got walks to do, come and hike.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we're coming on a nine hour trap.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Wonder got a night house ahead of us. It's great fun.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Well, holiday's over. I think we should talk about netball.
- 21:58Speaker 3: No, but just before we get to net I will
- 22:00Speaker 3: tell you one thing. So I was gone for six weeks,
- 22:02Speaker 3: had six weeks in Queensland, which was lovely, got home
- 22:06Speaker 3: and the freaking Christmas So this is end of jan Yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 3: one day shy feb. The Christmas tree and all the
- 22:13Speaker 3: crap is still up.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That's awful.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I nearly cried when I'm not surprised. That's not good.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Are you guys when you get home from a trip,
- 22:20Speaker 3: do you have to unpack straight away?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:23Speaker 3: Are you?
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yes?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 22:25Speaker 3: I have to. It makes me crazy.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I like to, yeah, because otherwise it's two weeks later
- 22:28Speaker 1: and I've still got the suit case there.
- 22:30Speaker 3: So it's like I.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Try to dump it all out at once.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 3: But Harp was like, let's just leave it one more
- 22:35Speaker 3: night so we can enjoy it. And I'm like, no,
- 22:37Speaker 3: if I don't enjoying it, it is not happening. So
- 22:39Speaker 3: I had to put that all away and take it
- 22:41Speaker 3: back to storage. But I also had a few deliveries
- 22:44Speaker 3: because I love to get on the websites after the
- 22:46Speaker 3: Christmas and get all the Christmas crap in the sales.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Love like I need anymore not. But Target had these
- 22:54Speaker 3: candy canes that were in initials that you hang on
- 22:58Speaker 3: the tree. So I did a big order of those.
- 23:00Speaker 3: They were down to like a buck or something. They
- 23:01Speaker 3: were fifty percent off. I did a big order of those.
- 23:04Speaker 3: But once I've done the order, I realized that at
- 23:06Speaker 3: no point they asked me which initials I wanted. I'm
- 23:11Speaker 3: opening this box something and this is going to be
- 23:14Speaker 3: just potlark. What we going to end up with. I've
- 23:16Speaker 3: got a couple for Pete, right, great, thank you. I've
- 23:20Speaker 3: got a couple of peas. I've got a g I
- 23:23Speaker 3: think there was a couple that did work.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Georgie Horges.
- 23:27Speaker 3: No, So the challenge now will be fine somebody with
- 23:31Speaker 3: those initials that I can give them to before Christmas
- 23:34Speaker 3: next year.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because Georgie org just I think that might have
- 23:37Speaker 2: been a thing that tips her into getting an AVO.
- 23:39Speaker 2: If you give me Christmas decorations, I.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Don't think it's if I give it her. If it's
- 23:43Speaker 3: I go over to her house Christmas Eve and put
- 23:45Speaker 3: it on a tree.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Closing the line, I've just said, how well being staff
- 23:52Speaker 2: know what you've got planned for Georgie.
- 24:08Speaker 1: All right, it's time to talk about network because there
- 24:11Speaker 1: is Like, it's so exciting we're back with this will
- 24:13Speaker 1: go to air on a Wednesday. The very next day
- 24:18Speaker 1: we have the first of three test matches with the
- 24:20Speaker 1: Sunshine Girls.
- 24:21Speaker 3: So good, very exciting. As soon as I saw this
- 24:24Speaker 3: on the schedule last year, I got so excited because
- 24:27Speaker 3: you think about this Jamaican side and how many of
- 24:29Speaker 3: those superstars play.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It's superstars, not just decent players. Should we see superstars again?
- 24:35Speaker 3: Yeah, super super stuperstars. Anyway, saw the Jamaican Sunshine Girls
- 24:41Speaker 3: team list and five of them aren't playing. Oh really,
- 24:44Speaker 3: So there's no Jody and Ward still acl recovery, I
- 24:47Speaker 3: would imagine, no Shimona Nelson, no Ramelda Aiken. George who
- 24:53Speaker 3: is still playing although she retired last year. Remember Fever
- 24:56Speaker 3: picked her up at the tough season, but I think
- 24:58Speaker 3: still bit of a knee niggle. No Sterling, Humphrey no,
- 25:04Speaker 3: and then of course no felon Ema. Now she's pregnant.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Wow. So five yeah, yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Which I think is good for Australia to have a run.
- 25:14Speaker 3: But the idea of this run was to have a
- 25:17Speaker 3: good look at Jamaica before the Common Games, right because
- 25:19Speaker 3: Jamaica is one of those teams you get very nervous
- 25:22Speaker 3: about and we've mentioned that a few times, so now
- 25:25Speaker 3: you still don't really get that good look at them.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So do we know why Shamira Stirling Hmphrey is not
- 25:31Speaker 1: playing that?
- 25:31Speaker 3: That's well, I'm assuming she's still not ready, but all
- 25:34Speaker 3: of these players look like they're back with the National
- 25:37Speaker 3: league teams and training.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that's that's really interesting because I think she
- 25:41Speaker 1: is back on court with the Tea birts.
- 25:43Speaker 3: So but it will still be very exciting because we
- 25:46Speaker 3: get to see the Diamonds on show again. I think
- 25:49Speaker 3: the team selected is I mean, it's always going to
- 25:51Speaker 3: be a great team, isn't it. It's very hard to
- 25:53Speaker 3: select that side. But that will be Adelaide of course.
- 25:56Speaker 3: On Thursday. Then it's Perth Sunday and then finishing off
- 25:59Speaker 3: in Melbourne in.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Stay exciting and Matilda Garrett and Georgie Harges playing in Adelaide.
- 26:04Speaker 1: That'll be exciting for our Tea Birds fans to see.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Them well and Stealing Humphrey should be there, so at
- 26:09Speaker 3: least we'll get to see her and hopefully get her
- 26:10Speaker 3: in the broadcast, so we're gonna have a chat with her, yes,
- 26:14Speaker 3: around Jamaica and all the rest of it. But I
- 26:16Speaker 3: would imagine it'll be a comfortable win for Australia in
- 26:18Speaker 3: this three test series. They played England at the end
- 26:21Speaker 3: of last year and the margins were big. England beat
- 26:25Speaker 3: them convincingly, so well, time will tell. But a good
- 26:28Speaker 3: test for Jamaica anyway, and see that what their depths like.
- 26:31Speaker 2: It is good. And can you imagine like if Jamaica
- 26:33Speaker 2: have got a heap of younger talent, as if every
- 26:36Speaker 2: Super Nipples head coach isn't going to be watching going right,
- 26:39Speaker 2: who's this next wave through? Because even though we're not
- 26:42Speaker 2: seeing the superstars, we will be seeing the next wave
- 26:48Speaker 2: and the next generation. And I think that in itself
- 26:50Speaker 2: is pretty exciting.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Yeah, A couple of course we do know from sun
- 26:54Speaker 3: Corpse super nipple though she eas Beckford. She's going to
- 26:56Speaker 3: be the captain for this series and Katie Dahanes be
- 27:01Speaker 3: in the lineup.
- 27:01Speaker 2: As well well.
- 27:02Speaker 1: She always brings it, she does.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Machine.
- 27:07Speaker 1: So Janille will be out for the Calm Games, won't she?
- 27:11Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I don't know how quick to fit people pump babies out, So.
- 27:16Speaker 1: She will be maybe three months post delivery at Calm Games.
- 27:19Speaker 1: So it's possible, but well not for us, but for
- 27:22Speaker 1: her mate.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I need about throw years through a cover. But I
- 27:28Speaker 2: reckon what will work in her favor should she wish
- 27:30Speaker 2: to come back? And who knows that she's just that
- 27:33Speaker 2: she was She doesn't do much well this a but
- 27:37Speaker 2: also she was super fit last year was I felt.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I felt like she was in the best nick of
- 27:43Speaker 2: her career. So should she want to make a fast comeback.
- 27:46Speaker 2: She's done all the work in the lead up and
- 27:49Speaker 2: you know she's still she's got a pretty good club environment.
- 27:52Speaker 2: They'd be keeping her, you know, keeping an eye on.
- 27:54Speaker 2: It's not like these players just drift off into the sunset.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You know, they still they've still got a program. They're monitored,
- 28:01Speaker 2: and she's such a great athlete that if anyone was
- 28:03Speaker 2: going to do it, she could do.
- 28:04Speaker 3: You know what I found interesting in lieu of them
- 28:07Speaker 3: being no foul and Emma no Aiken, George, Why Shimona
- 28:11Speaker 3: Nelson isn't playing because I thought that would have you know,
- 28:15Speaker 3: she spent time on the bench behind the likes of
- 28:17Speaker 3: those players. She would have loved that opportunity. She's not playing.
- 28:21Speaker 3: And I heard little rumor that she was in Aussie
- 28:24Speaker 3: Diamonds camp recently. Not as part of the Diamonds.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Clearly, but wow, that's interesting. Yes, So they are bringing
- 28:32Speaker 1: other players in for training purposes. That's exciting.
- 28:35Speaker 3: It is, yeah, And I guess you know if you
- 28:37Speaker 3: want to play against some of the athletes that they
- 28:39Speaker 3: will come up against. You know, the style very similar obviously,
- 28:42Speaker 3: super athletic, very strong in the air, brings the height
- 28:44Speaker 3: in the shooting end, which Jamaican does. Jamaican shooting end does.
- 28:48Speaker 3: So I mean, great practice for them, but interesting, you
- 28:52Speaker 3: wouldn't be on court with the Sunshine girls.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Well, you know the Diamonds in the past of brawn
- 28:57Speaker 2: in like men's players, particularly when you've got to talk
- 29:00Speaker 2: to that you want to that you're going to come
- 29:02Speaker 2: up against. So I suspect if they've gone right, We've
- 29:06Speaker 2: got Jamaican and shooters sitting here. Who wants to come in?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Let's bring in.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I'll tell you what if that game was in Sydney,
- 29:12Speaker 1: If any of those games are in Sydney, I would
- 29:13Speaker 1: be there in a heartbeat. I just I think they're
- 29:16Speaker 1: going to be really entertaining it. Like you, I sort
- 29:19Speaker 1: of remember this time last or not this time last year,
- 29:21Speaker 1: but when it was announced last year, when we were
- 29:24Speaker 1: talking about I thought, I don't know how the Diamonds
- 29:26Speaker 1: will go here, and I'm sorry that it's not a
- 29:29Speaker 1: full strength Sunshine girls, but I think it would be great.
- 29:31Speaker 1: And remember, if you want test matches played in your city,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you have to keep going to the test matches that
- 29:37Speaker 1: are played in your city. So their Netball Australia and
- 29:41Speaker 1: the premiers with bags of cash go this is what
- 29:44Speaker 1: my city wants. I need to be supporting this. So Sydney,
- 29:48Speaker 1: we've not done the best in that in the past,
- 29:49Speaker 1: which is why we might not have one of these tests,
- 29:51Speaker 1: but got to go.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Nonetheless, bloody exciting to have netball back in fab Yeah,
- 29:57Speaker 3: start a FAED.
- 29:57Speaker 1: But there's others like so super Ball is knocking on
- 30:01Speaker 1: the door and we had on the weekend we had
- 30:02Speaker 1: Giants and Firebirds in Wogga. Wogga City's so nice they
- 30:08Speaker 1: named it twice and that was really exciting. So the
- 30:11Speaker 1: Giants won the first one fifty five to fifty one,
- 30:14Speaker 1: and they came from behind to win that. And then
- 30:16Speaker 1: the second one the Firebirds won sixty three to sixty
- 30:19Speaker 1: so really really evenly matched. And obviously you know they're
- 30:24Speaker 1: not these are not their starting Suncorp Supernetball teams necessarily,
- 30:28Speaker 1: certainly for the Giants, they had two of their shooters
- 30:29Speaker 1: off in Diamonds Camp and whatever. But I think that's
- 30:33Speaker 1: really exciting. I think Firebirds fans would have to be excited.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And over the next few weeks you can see all
- 30:39Speaker 1: of the teams in Ballarat, Bendigo, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast,
- 30:45Speaker 1: Melbourne and Calgooli and now Clemont. Like, what a great
- 30:51Speaker 1: opportunity for netball fans. Yeah, you go in Calgoley February
- 30:55Speaker 1: twenty seventh, Fever Thunderbirds.
- 30:58Speaker 2: How good?
- 30:59Speaker 1: How good? How good?
- 31:00Speaker 3: Wow?
- 31:02Speaker 2: And there's a great free camp at Calgooley provided by
- 31:04Speaker 2: the cap taken.
- 31:07Speaker 1: How are the toilet emptying facilities at said free camp.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Actually, I don't know if there's a dumb point. I think, well,
- 31:14Speaker 2: I actually there must be a dumb point because often
- 31:16Speaker 2: we counsels supply free camp, so provide a dumb point.
- 31:18Speaker 2: So all the things that you need to know.
- 31:20Speaker 3: What about bakeries.
- 31:22Speaker 2: There's a good pub in Carboy's a couple of good pubs,
- 31:24Speaker 2: great burgers in Calgooley.
- 31:26Speaker 1: All right, great netball, great burgers, free camping, no comment
- 31:30Speaker 1: on the toilet facilities. I will say though, that Melbourne
- 31:34Speaker 1: test could be Liz Watson's hundredth test. Oh god, Kate
- 31:39Speaker 1: Maloney could get shees at. So Liz Watson is at
- 31:42Speaker 1: ninety seven, Kate Maloney is at forty eight, Cara cone
- 31:45Speaker 1: and is at forty seven. So there are some big
- 31:47Speaker 1: milestones that are going to be hit in these test
- 31:49Speaker 1: matches too, potentially be there one hundred's.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Huge and if Liz Watson hits one hundred, she'll be
- 31:55Speaker 2: the first center court to do it.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Wow?
- 31:58Speaker 3: Good should we all?
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah? So there's all that. So the centurions are Vicky Wilson,
- 32:04Speaker 2: Cath Cox, Caitlin Bassett, surew it Man, me and Liz.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Wow, should you get excited? What about just one game
- 32:14Speaker 3: and you true, that's interesting.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Defense takes it and well mid court takes to tell
- 32:23Speaker 2: everybody find that she's the first mid quarter but the
- 32:25Speaker 2: second lees there you go, very nice, common name, very common.
- 32:30Speaker 2: But no, I'm excited for us. So hopefully yeah, hopefully.
- 32:33Speaker 3: She goes the thing with her too. She's not going
- 32:35Speaker 3: anywhere in a hurry. Does that make you a little nervous,
- 32:38Speaker 3: isn't it? Ellis?
- 32:40Speaker 2: Well, it makes me excited, like you want your records
- 32:42Speaker 2: to be broke to what a crocs shit by someone
- 32:44Speaker 2: who's great like her? Well, yeah you do.
- 32:47Speaker 1: It's going to change their podcast where we have to
- 32:49Speaker 1: get rid of Liz and get Liz Watson in.
- 32:53Speaker 2: The tables are well, happily you don't have to. You
- 32:56Speaker 2: won't have to remember a different name, guys, doesn't it?
- 33:00Speaker 1: We can always call her she is the goat, the
- 33:03Speaker 1: original and the best. But will you guys be giving
- 33:05Speaker 1: Liz Watson like a secret key to a clubhouse or something?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Is this like the Quantus chairman's lounge that once you're
- 33:11Speaker 1: a centurion you get some sort of special stuff that
- 33:14Speaker 1: you don't talk about.
- 33:16Speaker 3: There's an initiation awesome which may or may not involve
- 33:20Speaker 3: a pair of pliers. Oh, but we can't tell anyone
- 33:24Speaker 3: about that.
- 33:25Speaker 1: And secret outfits. I could just come along, though I
- 33:27Speaker 1: won't tell anyone who would I tell?
- 33:29Speaker 3: I'm just smuggle in my bag. Thank you, backpack.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I appreciating that.
- 33:33Speaker 2: But you need to tell us what well, you need
- 33:35Speaker 2: to tell us what you've done? A hundred of what
- 33:36Speaker 2: have you done?
- 33:36Speaker 3: A hundred dollars o plenty? You should have seen her
- 33:38Speaker 3: with my suitcases into the boot the other day. She's
- 33:41Speaker 3: done a one hundred press ups or something.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I do one hundred of a lot of things
- 33:46Speaker 1: at the gym, but you know that's not No one
- 33:48Speaker 1: ever selects me for a national team.
- 33:50Speaker 2: To do that.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Hey, Liz, before we finish our first netball segment of
- 33:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, we have a lot of new listeners. Welcome,
- 34:00Speaker 1: thank you since we joined the iHeart network. Where are
- 34:02Speaker 1: we at? Do we need more signatures for the petition
- 34:05Speaker 1: for the Olympic push? Is that still open? Is that
- 34:08Speaker 1: still a thing?
- 34:09Speaker 2: Still open? Still a thing? So if you go to
- 34:12Speaker 2: just a Netball Australia website and just follow the links
- 34:15Speaker 2: to back the bid, that's still really important. We still
- 34:17Speaker 2: want to be showing the games organizers and the Queensland
- 34:21Speaker 2: government the support for netball that particularly the netball community has,
- 34:26Speaker 2: and we also want Dribblers or anyone who's listening just
- 34:30Speaker 2: to let your local member, no federal or state member,
- 34:33Speaker 2: know that you would love for netball to be into
- 34:36Speaker 2: the Olympics. So discussions are ongoing with Brisbane twenty thirty two.
- 34:41Speaker 2: And yeah there's still a lot to get through, but
- 34:45Speaker 2: if you want to support, get onto it, back the bid.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Just go to the Netball Australian website and sign up.
- 34:51Speaker 2: And if you do that then you get lots of
- 34:53Speaker 2: information about where we're up to and how you can
- 34:55Speaker 2: support and what you need to know. So it's a
- 34:58Speaker 2: two way thing. You get to and your support, but
- 35:00Speaker 2: then you get your privy to a lot of extra
- 35:02Speaker 2: information which is all right.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Get around at dribblers. Do you remember when twenty thirty
- 35:06Speaker 1: two sounded a really long time away?
- 35:08Speaker 3: Oh? Remember that show beyond two thousand?
- 35:11Speaker 1: Remember that towards two thousand what we used to think
- 35:14Speaker 1: we'd be in spaceships and stuff.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, it is pretty freaky.
- 35:17Speaker 2: If you were I thought we'd at least have homocrafts
- 35:20Speaker 2: parted in the garage easily after watching Back to the Future.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Do you want to have a craft? You know what
- 35:25Speaker 1: they call the driver of a hovercraft? Stupid, well, a pilot.
- 35:29Speaker 1: It's like like they're like an inch off the ground.
- 35:32Speaker 1: It's like, really a pilot, Like it's a driver, right, surely,
- 35:36Speaker 1: I mean like surely that the pilots of seven forty
- 35:39Speaker 1: seven get a bit sort of snobby about that. It's like, well,
- 35:43Speaker 1: wear forty thousand feet you're a quarter of an inch.
- 35:46Speaker 3: And we're far more hands on. Yeah, I don't trust
- 35:49Speaker 3: technology that would throw me off.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Have aboard.
- 35:54Speaker 1: All right. So at the end of our first netball
- 35:56Speaker 1: segment of twenty twenty six, the blood Heites are talking
- 36:00Speaker 1: about it. We're just acting like boomers. Okay, I did
- 36:14Speaker 1: promise that we had a new segment. This is a
- 36:16Speaker 1: very exciting segment for twenty twenty six. This is one
- 36:19Speaker 1: Dribbler's where we need your involvement please. We thought, Catherine
- 36:23Speaker 1: and I thought, particularly we have the Goat here. We've
- 36:26Speaker 1: talked about this the original and the best the Goat.
- 36:29Speaker 1: We have the Goat here every week, and the Goat
- 36:32Speaker 1: knows a lot of stuff, not just about netball but
- 36:35Speaker 1: life in general. Liz Ellis has good life advice. So
- 36:38Speaker 1: we have asked dribblers to start sending us questions that
- 36:42Speaker 1: they would like Usk to ask the goat. Some of
- 36:48Speaker 1: them will be netball, some of them will be related
- 36:50Speaker 1: to other things. And one of them has been ruined
- 36:53Speaker 1: earlier in this segment, but we'll explain that where we
- 36:55Speaker 1: get to it. So Liz, first question to ask the goat,
- 37:00Speaker 1: and at some stage I may reserve the right to
- 37:03Speaker 1: ask the goal attack for also a view on on
- 37:06Speaker 1: the piece of advice. We'll see how we go.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Who's the goal attack? You just looked at me.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Surely you've played goal attack and goal shooter. Yeah, Okay,
- 37:16Speaker 1: asked the goal the goat, the goala and the goose.
- 37:22Speaker 3: It doesn't rhyme, but it still starts.
- 37:24Speaker 1: We're not going. We are absolutely not going with nome.
- 37:30Speaker 1: There's Darryl's meme for the week. Hello Daryl, Happy New
- 37:33Speaker 1: Year to Darryl Milton. Okay, first question, Liz, this one.
- 37:37Speaker 1: This one comes from the soon to be wife of
- 37:39Speaker 1: I know netball, who you would remember from our tipping
- 37:41Speaker 1: comp last year. Akay, Annie Marie, Liz, we will the
- 37:44Speaker 1: sun Cop Super Netpall Final be held this year.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Please, I love this segment. Can I just preface my
- 37:50Speaker 2: answer by saying that I was not consulted correct the
- 37:53Speaker 2: making of this segment. Many animals were damaged in the
- 37:56Speaker 2: making of this segment, mainly me, and I think that
- 38:00Speaker 2: goat should be prefaced with giddy No. I worry that,
- 38:04Speaker 2: like there's a sense that I might say something that
- 38:06Speaker 2: might influence somebody to do or think is some point
- 38:09Speaker 2: and that is not the whole point.
- 38:11Speaker 1: This is somewhat outside of the boundaries of the segment
- 38:13Speaker 1: as I saw it, which was we ask a question
- 38:15Speaker 1: usually gives the damn on she's on to us.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yes, so where will the sun Corpse super Netbul twenty
- 38:24Speaker 2: twenty six Grand Final be played? I can tell you
- 38:27Speaker 2: where it won't be played. Also that that's good, yes, yes,
- 38:31Speaker 2: so it won't be played as part of the Winter
- 38:35Speaker 2: Olympics in Milano Cortina.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Okay, well that starts in a couple of weeks. That
- 38:38Speaker 1: starts on the sixth of February, so good, thank you
- 38:40Speaker 1: for bulling that out.
- 38:41Speaker 2: That's more a timing issue.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Because usually you have the Grand Final after the season,
- 38:47Speaker 1: and that would require us to run the Grand Final
- 38:49Speaker 1: before the season.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Can you imagine the would freeze off and a netball
- 38:53Speaker 3: skirt played in the snow.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Honestly, can we just acknowledge for a moment, I say,
- 38:57Speaker 1: I don't know as much about netball as you guys do,
- 38:59Speaker 1: but I totally know that the Grand Final comes at
- 39:02Speaker 1: the end of the season, right, Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I don't think she was alluding to the fact that
- 39:06Speaker 3: had to happen. Now we can always go back there.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Oh no, she did say as part of.
- 39:10Speaker 3: The well, I didn't say.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Look, okay, asked the goat segments off to a strong start,
- 39:16Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'll rule out somewhere else that's within Australia.
- 39:21Speaker 2: I can definitely rule out Cradle Mountain because I'm not
- 39:24Speaker 2: going back.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You'll remember that I repeatedly asked for Hamilton Island last year.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Is that still in the room?
- 39:30Speaker 2: I did?
- 39:31Speaker 3: Can we still manifest?
- 39:32Speaker 2: Well how much? I did say that Hamilton Island has
- 39:34Speaker 2: new owners, so I don't want to rule Hamilton Island
- 39:37Speaker 2: at at this early stage.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Time to do we need to say Hamilton Island before
- 39:41Speaker 3: we should? We try it.
- 39:44Speaker 2: We'll do it.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Yeah, very good, Darryl Milton, and we'll keep right.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Wait, are we going to have I not invited. Donna
- 39:54Speaker 1: might have some thoughts on that. Okay, So I feel
- 39:57Speaker 1: like the first question we've asked the goat in the
- 39:59Speaker 1: ass goat segment, there's been a lot of obfuscation, a
- 40:03Speaker 1: lot of dithering, a lot of political speak. So Kat,
- 40:06Speaker 1: do you have another question for to go Well, my.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Second question was number two is in the caravan? Yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 3: your name, and you said if you're desperate, right.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And it's generally Austin who's the most desperate,
- 40:18Speaker 2: because there's something about nine year old boys that they're
- 40:20Speaker 2: so busy they forget, they don't realize they've got to
- 40:22Speaker 2: do number twos until it's pushing cloth.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Oh that is Can we stop the lurid descriptions?
- 40:36Speaker 2: Oh dear, it is so good.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Okay, I'll go to my stand Mine bears nose. Okay,
- 40:48Speaker 1: and now we've finished, we're moving on.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yes. But so the problem is that where the bottom
- 40:56Speaker 2: bunk is and the head is, it's actually about toilet high.
- 41:02Speaker 2: So this is another reason why Evelyn may never get
- 41:05Speaker 2: into the caravan ever again.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Okay, all right, well that one's from our friend Nicole.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Thank you, Nicole, nice wine charms. Oh yeah, So dribblers,
- 41:17Speaker 1: think about it. If you've got a question for the goat,
- 41:19Speaker 1: we do have another couple of questions to come through
- 41:21Speaker 1: in this segment. You can send them to info at
- 41:24Speaker 1: no dribble dot com dot au. That's the email address,
- 41:27Speaker 1: or you can message us via our Facebook group or Instagram.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yes, and please don't be afraid to have questions for
- 41:34Speaker 2: the gola and the nome goose as well, the goose.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Thank you, the goose with the lovely long neck.
- 41:40Speaker 3: The goat, the golar, and the no guys, Yes, we
- 41:46Speaker 3: have to rename this whole show.
- 41:49Speaker 1: We're renaming the show.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 41:53Speaker 3: That's such a good ring to it. I'm writing it down, stay.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Real to it. Yeah, no, and has absolutely zero. But
- 42:03Speaker 2: the problem for Carolyn is, like all good nicknames, they
- 42:05Speaker 2: stick when you up there you go.
- 42:08Speaker 1: So there's first of all, there was triple M and
- 42:10Speaker 1: triple J where triple G.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, well hit the G spot with us team.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Nice love it all right? So do have we have
- 42:19Speaker 1: we satisfied?
- 42:20Speaker 3: No?
- 42:20Speaker 1: So so you don't. There's a second part to that
- 42:23Speaker 1: question there that I don't think we got an answer
- 42:25Speaker 1: on in the first bit. Who's emptying the number two?
- 42:28Speaker 3: Oh, it's the number two. So well, she said, they
- 42:31Speaker 3: don't because it goes to compos Yeah.
- 42:33Speaker 2: So well you do. You have to empty it at
- 42:35Speaker 2: some point, and I do all of the empty.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Why why do you do it all? Why?
- 42:40Speaker 2: Well, it's not a term because I don't trust. I
- 42:42Speaker 2: don't trust the kids to do a good enough job.
- 42:44Speaker 2: And the empty of the peo thing's easy because it's nice.
- 42:47Speaker 2: It's like soil. I don't put it, wouldn't put it
- 42:48Speaker 2: on my veggie patch, but I happily just put it
- 42:51Speaker 2: in the garden and no one ever knows the difference,
- 42:53Speaker 2: especially when you put some mulch over it. And the
- 42:55Speaker 2: number twos, I just do it. It's just easy. I
- 42:58Speaker 2: don't have to have the fight with everything. And I
- 43:00Speaker 2: also don't want the kids to think that I do
- 43:02Speaker 2: all the inside jobs. And that's very good jobs.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Yes you're a no shit girl, but clearly that's not
- 43:10Speaker 1: that's not entirely I No.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I deal with all the ship good work.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I like that. Yes, that's good role modeling there. And
- 43:17Speaker 1: if you've ever seen the movie The Martian with Matt Damon,
- 43:20Speaker 1: which is a very good movie, he uses the poo
- 43:23Speaker 1: to stay alive by creating a garden where he grows potatoes,
- 43:27Speaker 1: and that's how he manages to stay alive.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Is the Martian actually like a sci fi?
- 43:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well what do you think it is? I would
- 43:35Speaker 1: never watch no, but that's why I'm saying it's actually
- 43:38Speaker 1: a really good movie. So the premise is that they're
- 43:41Speaker 1: up on Mars and he gets injured and the spaceship
- 43:45Speaker 1: has to take off, and so he is there on
- 43:48Speaker 1: his own, surviving and trying to communicate with Earth to
- 43:52Speaker 1: say hey, I'm still alive, come back and get me,
- 43:54Speaker 1: but also to stay alive, and they've had this massive storm.
- 43:58Speaker 1: It's really it's a good suspense. It's movie and it's
- 44:01Speaker 1: funny and interesting. I know, I know you're not a
- 44:04Speaker 1: big sci fi person.
- 44:05Speaker 3: But the Gnome gives it five star.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I don't maybe four. The full starts from the Gnome. Okay,
- 44:14Speaker 1: Liz ask the goat question, this time from We've Got
- 44:18Speaker 1: a Dribbler, using a pseudonym which is also allowable. She
- 44:23Speaker 1: is a full time warrior, and not as in the
- 44:25Speaker 1: Auckland Warriors, but someone who worries. When you're anxious and
- 44:29Speaker 1: worked up but trying to get to sleep. What are
- 44:32Speaker 1: your surefire tips to switch your brain off. We won't
- 44:36Speaker 1: ask Catherine this one.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Switch it on.
- 44:44Speaker 2: This is a great question. I don't really have a
- 44:48Speaker 2: good answer.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Girlfriend had no wish. She's switching it off. The other night,
- 44:51Speaker 3: just quietly snor.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I was tired, so you guys shared a room after.
- 44:59Speaker 3: The she was out.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Catherine did not sleep well. I was gone.
- 45:04Speaker 3: I did video without telling you, though.
- 45:08Speaker 2: You can't do that. I'd see you know my date anymore?
- 45:13Speaker 2: For these things, ah, look just too usual. I just
- 45:19Speaker 2: what I should do is write things down. What I
- 45:22Speaker 2: tend to do is just lie there till one am
- 45:24Speaker 2: thinking of all the things that can go wrong. He
- 45:26Speaker 2: doesn't do that. And I don't know if it's worry,
- 45:28Speaker 2: if it's metopause. But when they combine, it's a beautiful thing.
- 45:31Speaker 2: And then sometimes I really can't get the sleep. I
- 45:33Speaker 2: wake Mathew up and say, come on, do your job.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I'm going to go to sleep.
- 45:38Speaker 3: I love that.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I love that too. Okay, ask the goat segment I
- 45:43Speaker 1: think is actually really powerful and cats, do you have
- 45:46Speaker 1: a final Ask the goat from a dribbler?
- 45:49Speaker 3: I do.
- 45:50Speaker 2: This is too many questions.
- 45:53Speaker 3: We can maybe cut it down another day, but for.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Now I just want to demonstrate the potential of the
- 45:59Speaker 1: segment and invite driblins to send questions in of whatever
- 46:03Speaker 1: sort that it doesn't have to be netball related. We
- 46:05Speaker 1: have some netball questions. In fact, Kathy, you might have
- 46:08Speaker 1: something that is tangentially netball related.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Huh okay, Lizbeth, which netball or past or present would
- 46:14Speaker 3: be the one you think could become the Champion of Gladiators.
- 46:20Speaker 3: This is from darryl Oh.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Champion of Gladiators. That's an excellent question because.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I will tell you that I handed this question so
- 46:30Speaker 1: Daryl went to the trouble of making a pseudonym and
- 46:33Speaker 1: it was Ryan Bow because obviously you hosted Gladiators with
- 46:36Speaker 1: Bo Ryan. But he can't say that it's from Bo Ryan.
- 46:40Speaker 1: So I've handed this to Catherine that it's from Ryan
- 46:42Speaker 1: bowaka Daryl Milton, and she's very carefully crossed it out
- 46:46Speaker 1: and written bo Ryan.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Yes, I thought he got that wrong.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Unless Ryan Bow is like, you know, listening to the podcast.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I well, I think you don't want any more. I
- 47:01Speaker 2: don't know.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Jailp's got to be in there, surely.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah. I'm trying to think of a mid
- 47:08Speaker 2: quarter jlp Amy Palmenter, I think would be fantastic. Kate Maloney,
- 47:12Speaker 2: you don't want someone too little, because the first part
- 47:14Speaker 2: was of the final was always jumping over some obstacles,
- 47:17Speaker 2: and we had a couple of contestants who struggled getting
- 47:20Speaker 2: over those obstacles. Shut up, but just the leg drivees.
- 47:25Speaker 2: So look what is she doing. You've got my thinking
- 47:29Speaker 2: face on it. I can't see what you do. Are done.
- 47:31Speaker 1: She's making fun of short people. She's having fake sympathy
- 47:37Speaker 1: for people who were small in Stantia.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Yeah right, Look at one of the mid quarters. I
- 47:41Speaker 2: think would be good and I would have loved to
- 47:42Speaker 2: have seen a netballer on there. A lot of the
- 47:44Speaker 2: contestants were cross fitters, and a lot of the gladiators
- 47:48Speaker 2: were cross fitters, which actually did my head in because
- 47:50Speaker 2: when I went to follow them all on Instagram, it
- 47:53Speaker 2: warped my algorithm and I started to get all this
- 47:55Speaker 2: CrossFit content and it pushed out all of my wine
- 47:59Speaker 2: and food content.
- 48:01Speaker 1: I will say I deliberately tried to retrain my algorithm
- 48:05Speaker 1: the other day because I'm getting stuff that I'm finding
- 48:08Speaker 1: just making me incredibly stressed, and I thought this is
- 48:11Speaker 1: not helping anyone. So I got on and I searched up.
- 48:16Speaker 1: I searched Liberaci content, which is great because it's just
- 48:19Speaker 1: entertaining and fun and sparkly and delightful, and netball content
- 48:23Speaker 1: and one other thing. And I spent two days only
- 48:26Speaker 1: looking at those things, and it changed my algorithm. So
- 48:30Speaker 1: if you want to change the algorithm, it's not that hard.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Why Liberaci?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Have you ever watched any of Liberaci shows from the seventies?
- 48:38Speaker 1: They're hilarious, like it is so funny.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Wow, I know it's well, I need to do that
- 48:45Speaker 3: because I fell victim to another trend, to a scam, no,
- 48:50Speaker 3: a trend, one of these things that's on social media
- 48:52Speaker 3: that you put something. I'm not a follower, I wouldn't
- 48:55Speaker 3: have thought, but if you put something in my face
- 48:56Speaker 3: long enough, I'm drinking the kool aid. So this morning
- 49:00Speaker 3: I made the viral two ingredient cheesecake.
- 49:03Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 49:04Speaker 3: Have you seen it?
- 49:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 49:07Speaker 3: It, Oh, Elizabeth?
- 49:08Speaker 2: What are the ingredients?
- 49:09Speaker 3: Natural cheese and cake? And you stuff it with bisc
- 49:12Speaker 3: off biscuits and then you put it in the fridge overnight,
- 49:15Speaker 3: and apparently it tastes like proper cheesecake because the biscuit
- 49:19Speaker 3: goes all, So I'll tell you, I'll report that. Oh
- 49:23Speaker 3: do I know, But how apathetic? Can I just just
- 49:25Speaker 3: get off those things. I'm either buying something or I'm
- 49:28Speaker 3: falling victim to a new recipe. But if it's good,
- 49:30Speaker 3: I'll be happy.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Well that is the end of the very first the
- 49:35Speaker 1: inaugural ask the Goat segment. Yeah, let's do a little
- 49:40Speaker 1: round of applause. This is a golden opportunity for you
- 49:44Speaker 1: dribblers of the nation and internationally to ask Liz Ellis
- 49:50Speaker 1: whatever you want and and look, sometimes if Liz isn't available,
- 49:54Speaker 1: we'll try to find another goat. I don't know how
- 49:57Speaker 1: or who, but you know, in our little like books
- 50:00Speaker 1: we have we have other goats as well.
- 50:04Speaker 3: We do.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of what we do we know,
- 50:08Speaker 1: but yeah, please send your questions into info at no
- 50:11Speaker 1: Dribble dot com dot au or contact us by the
- 50:14Speaker 1: Facebook Instagram page. A couple of things coming up before
- 50:19Speaker 1: we end. We are going to have the tipping comp
- 50:21Speaker 1: again this year, the super NETBW Tipping comp and that
- 50:25Speaker 1: will be launching soon. So we're just busily organizing that.
- 50:29Speaker 1: So that was a lot of fun last year a minute.
- 50:33Speaker 3: I don't think we can start that until I've been
- 50:35Speaker 3: rewarded with my lunch.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Well you're never here, No, well I am, Now what
- 50:40Speaker 1: are you doing? Well, I'm here because you owe us lunch.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Don't who came last. It wasn't that Liz came last,
- 50:46Speaker 1: but that was that was cause she can't. She she
- 50:48Speaker 1: had to only tip.
- 50:50Speaker 3: I think buying lunch.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I've always said that. And all I need is
- 50:54Speaker 1: for you all to show up and I will arrive
- 50:56Speaker 1: with my credit card. We need Gordy and Liz town
- 51:00Speaker 1: and I think we agreed that that might happen in
- 51:02Speaker 1: the Commonwealth Games.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Okay, we need to tick.
- 51:04Speaker 1: No, not the Comonwealth Games, the Netball World Cup in
- 51:06Speaker 1: twenty twenty seven, so we might. We might have to
- 51:08Speaker 1: have several lunches to deal with it. But yes, congratulations,
- 51:13Speaker 1: you didn't win it though the bascinator one Lisa bass one.
- 51:16Speaker 3: No, I won out of us, and that's more important.
- 51:18Speaker 3: You one out of us, that is, but we have
- 51:20Speaker 3: to tick that. It's so important to competition.
- 51:22Speaker 1: So we will have that again. And we may need
- 51:25Speaker 1: to change our Instagram account soon, so we're going to
- 51:28Speaker 1: have to if we'll tell you on Instagram and on
- 51:30Speaker 1: the podcast and on Facebook if we're going to do that,
- 51:33Speaker 1: but there's blah blah blah, back of house Instagram tech settings,
- 51:38Speaker 1: blah blah blah. Anyway, so we'll let you know, but
- 51:41Speaker 1: before we go quickly, you're twenty twenty six netball resolution.
- 51:47Speaker 3: I'm going to not take out my frustrations on my
- 51:51Speaker 3: daughter after I train her netball team on a Monday night.
- 51:54Speaker 1: That's very nice.
- 51:55Speaker 3: Well, she pointed it out to me. What did you
- 51:58Speaker 3: She actually did one day, said, do you think your
- 52:00Speaker 3: frustrations towards me after training are because of training?
- 52:05Speaker 2: Like?
- 52:05Speaker 3: Entirehly likely? So I'm going to try and be better good.
- 52:09Speaker 2: I like that, Yeah, Liz, my resolution is to get
- 52:12Speaker 2: it ball into the Olympics.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Yes, she it's on mine. Well done.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Well, no, actually yours is very good. But and Catherine,
- 52:20Speaker 2: that was actually going to be mine, but now that
- 52:22Speaker 2: you took it, I had to think of something different
- 52:24Speaker 2: on the spot. There you go.
- 52:25Speaker 3: It's tough, isn't it for little buggers?
- 52:27Speaker 1: But the mine is to drink a whole lot of
- 52:30Speaker 1: coffee on the sideline and cheer my daughter and not
- 52:33Speaker 1: coach her. I just want to because I'm not coaching
- 52:35Speaker 1: this year. She's playing for the school, so I'm going
- 52:38Speaker 1: to just try to be a force for good in
- 52:42Speaker 1: that and remember that if I'm not coaching, I'm not coaching.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I believed because I thought you were going to say,
- 52:48Speaker 3: drink more coffee at the games like our games. No, No,
- 52:53Speaker 3: it's a G and T.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I've got Yeah, I've got a responsibility to lead the nation.
- 52:58Speaker 2: You do?
- 52:58Speaker 1: Yes?
- 52:58Speaker 3: Okay?
- 52:59Speaker 1: Good to the first game over in Radelaide?
- 53:02Speaker 3: Yes?
- 53:03Speaker 1: Who is it? Ta bird Swifts?
- 53:06Speaker 2: Cool?
- 53:07Speaker 3: How excited? Yeah, I'll have my lunch then, thanks, very good.
- 53:13Speaker 1: All right, well that has been the very first episode
- 53:15Speaker 1: for twenty twenty six of No Dribble. Thanks sticking with
- 53:18Speaker 1: sticking with us over the summer series, and Sticky House,
- 53:22Speaker 1: thanks for sticking with the summer series. But yeah, we're
- 53:25Speaker 1: looking forward to another fun year of nonsense and Liz
- 53:31Speaker 1: answering all of our questions. But I'm Caroline Swindle, I'm
- 53:34Speaker 1: cath cos.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I'm lose Alice.
- 53:38Speaker 3: By bye.
