Transcript
- 0:00What if some of the mindset principles we're tempted to call woo-woo
- 0:04aren't actually New Age at all? In this conversation with Cha Chi
- 0:08Horgan, we explore the surprising intersection of faith, mindset,
- 0:12identity, and the timeless principles that may have been
- 0:16hiding in plain sight all along. Welcome to the Revolution of
- 0:19Purpose podcast. I'm your host, John Streit, and each
- 0:22week we bring you conversations with thought leaders, entrepreneurs,
- 0:26and individuals who have aligned their life with purpose
- 0:30and created extraordinary results. So I'm gonna live through it and accept
- 0:33it radically with grace and hope and love. I mean, I would
- 0:38be proud to be in this council. It was an honor. I had so much
- 0:40fun. Tune in every Monday for the Revolution of Purpose solo show and every
- 0:44Thursday for Revolution of Purpose Conversations.
- 0:47Welcome back to another Conversations episode of the Revolution
- 0:52of Purpose podcast. My name is John Streit, and I'm so thankful
- 0:56that you're here with me today. One of the things that I love most about
- 1:00these conversations is getting beyond what someone does and discovering
- 1:04who they have become along the way. And today's
- 1:08guest has a story that I think fits this perfectly.
- 1:12Chachi Horgan is a mindset coach with Avenus Consulting,
- 1:15where he helps entrepreneurs and individuals
- 1:19create greater clarity, shift their thinking, and move from
- 1:22defensive living into more intentional action.
- 1:26But Chachi's own journey into this work is what I find
- 1:30particularly interesting. A few years ago, he was working as a realtor
- 1:34in Maine, and life wasn't necessarily falling apart,
- 1:38but there was just something inside of him telling him that there was something more
- 1:43that he needed to experience. And so Chachi listened to that voice.
- 1:47He eventually left Maine, moved all the way to Florida, started his own
- 1:51business and continued following a path that ultimately brought
- 1:55him back to what he describes as his true calling.
- 1:59He is helping people experience abundance and live with greater
- 2:04joy and greater alignment. He also is someone that I've had the
- 2:08opportunity to have some fascinating conversations with about mindset,
- 2:11about identity, and about spirituality and faith
- 2:15in particular. So I have a feeling that we're going to go
- 2:19into some really interesting directions today.
- 2:22Chachi, welcome to the Revolution of Purpose podcast. I'm so
- 2:26glad you're here. Thank you for that intro. That was,
- 2:29uh, amazing. Uh, it's an honor to be here. It's always great to
- 2:33be in your presence. Uh, a bit of a full circle moment. Uh, I think
- 2:37we'll get into that maybe at some point later on, but from, uh, from where
- 2:40we first started on our first phone call Uh, just a couple of
- 2:44years back, maybe a year, year ago now, uh, which is crazy to think about.
- 2:47Um, but yeah, I'm excited to be here and, uh, looking forward
- 2:51to the, to the podcast. It absolutely is a full circle
- 2:56moment. You know, you're right. And we will, we'll talk about that because I remember,
- 3:00you know, having that phone call with you and discussing how like
- 3:04both of us coming from the Christian faith, how that actually works with mindset
- 3:08principles and things. And, and yeah, I'm excited to dive into that with you.
- 3:12Um, But I do begin every single one of these episodes with
- 3:17the same question. And so I, I cannot
- 3:20wait to hear your answer to this. Chachi, who are
- 3:24you today that your younger self would be proud
- 3:28of? That is a fantastic question. I think perfect
- 3:32timing too, because I think now more than ever, I would say
- 3:36I am my authentic self. At least I
- 3:40would say I'm the most authentic that I've been in my life,
- 3:43um, at this point right now. So I, I think my younger
- 3:48self would be super proud of that because I would say at that point that
- 3:51younger self is more authentic, right? There hasn't
- 3:55been those experiences that may have began
- 3:58to, to limit, um, the self, or maybe some embarrassing
- 4:02experience or different things that kind of have you starting to,
- 4:05to shy away from who you truly are. Um, so to have
- 4:09gone through that just like we all do and be in a position where I'm
- 4:12at now, I think my younger self would be most proud of that.
- 4:15That is fantastic. And it's such a good point. You know, when we are at
- 4:21our youngest self, like, that's— it's when we're the most authentic and innocent.
- 4:24It's before we're taught what we cannot do. You know, it's before
- 4:28people instill in us our limitations that we didn't
- 4:32choose, they chose for us, you know. And so, yeah, I think you're right.
- 4:35I think that's amazing. And just from you know, having the pleasure
- 4:39of knowing you, you know, more personally than just on the podcast or through
- 4:43coaching, I know that you are living a more and
- 4:47more limitless life every day. Like you just keep awakening to more and more
- 4:51of your authentic identity. And I think that's where our power is. You know,
- 4:54our power is in our authenticity for sure.
- 4:57100%. I think that's, that's really like the purpose
- 5:01of life, right, is to transcend those restrictions,
- 5:04limitations, and things that we've picked up along the way to
- 5:08really get back to ourselves. And I think I think when we're there, that is
- 5:10truly— you hit it on the head— like, that is our magnetism.
- 5:15When we're fully authentic, that's what's going to attract the, the most people,
- 5:19the right people. And it's just going to be a much better way of
- 5:23living life with yourself because you're, you're never going to get
- 5:26away from yourself. So to be able to have that relationship with self
- 5:31that is non-judgmental and just more expression, uh,
- 5:34it's way better. Oh, that's huge. So were you always
- 5:37someone that like sensed there was maybe more to life
- 5:41than what you saw right in front of you? Were you questioning things?
- 5:44Like, what about young Chachi? You know, was there a time before
- 5:48you had this kind of awakening that it was sort of already underneath
- 5:53and for you? Yeah, I would say there was always another
- 5:58level of curiosity that was there. Like I said,
- 6:02like you mentioned before, I was raised Catholic.
- 6:05I always believed in God to some extent.
- 6:09I think what that looked like throughout my life has changed
- 6:12so many different times. But especially early on as
- 6:17a kid and teen age years,
- 6:20even up till high school, really before I got
- 6:24a TV in my bedroom, I would say, I would just lay awake at
- 6:28night just like talking to God or like just asking like,
- 6:32what is this all about? Like everything that like society and
- 6:36parents and, anyone that was in my circle was telling me about like
- 6:40the world and life and heaven and like all those things, it just
- 6:44never— I was like, it just— there's got to be more.
- 6:47It's— there has to be another level of understanding that
- 6:51I'm able to obtain, um, because I just felt like that
- 6:55wasn't necessarily just it, right? And I think that's a very 3D way
- 6:59and a very normal way us as people kind of view those things.
- 7:02But I did have that curiosity of like going deeper and
- 7:06just like, what does it all mean? Um, and I think it's funny, like we
- 7:10joke with friends now of like, I thought that was normal too. And I think
- 7:14it is to some extent. But I think, you know, I think
- 7:18other, other kids were thinking about other things at that time. And I'm
- 7:22like, why am I here? Just like, you know what I mean? Like, they're probably
- 7:26thinking of all of this. Yes. Yes. I need to know more like this.
- 7:29This isn't it. So, yeah, they're like, come play
- 7:32Hot Wheels. And you're like, why do we exist? Yeah. What,
- 7:36what are Hot Wheels and how does that relate to me and my purpose here
- 7:40on Earth? Exactly. And how can I manifest a real Lamborghini?
- 7:43Not just a small one. Yeah, no, that's awesome.
- 7:46Well, and you know, I kind of, so,
- 7:50you know, you mentioned being raised Catholic, you mentioned God. And I mean, let's go
- 7:53on and kind of delve into this because the way that we
- 7:58met the first time, uh, when, um, you,
- 8:01uh, you were not yet, I think, working with Adam of Venus on his
- 8:05staff, but he was a mindset coach of yours and he's a mindset coach of
- 8:08mine. And I remember he reached out to me. And said, um, you know,
- 8:12hey, I've got a client who, uh, has a similar background
- 8:16and faith from, uh, the Christian religion like you do. And he has some questions.
- 8:19Would you like to connect? And I was like, yeah, let's, that's awesome. Let's,
- 8:23let's do it. And so we hopped on a phone call and had
- 8:26some really kind of deep conversations about how faith plays into
- 8:31this type of mindset work. And I think it's really cool because a lot
- 8:36of people don't really address that, you know, there, To me, a lot
- 8:39of things in mindset have this just woo-woo connotation.
- 8:43People just think it's so out there, but I kind
- 8:48of feel like there's a whole lot, not just in the Christian faith, but in
- 8:51all of the major religions from Christianity, all of the Abrahamic religions,
- 8:56as well as like some of the Far East religions. Like there are
- 8:59so many mindset principles that show up in almost every major
- 9:03religion and philosophy in the world. So let me ask you,
- 9:07what, what are some ways that you sort of reconciled your Christian
- 9:10faith with sort of the mindset work that you do today?
- 9:14Yeah, I think that's such a deep question. And, you know,
- 9:17we could probably talk for another 50 minutes just on that.
- 9:22I think in the beginning, especially when we
- 9:26were jumping on a call, there was so much fear in
- 9:31like doing the wrong thing or doing something that was like blasphemous,
- 9:34right? Like even having curiosity felt like uneasy.
- 9:37Easy. And I think that just kind of exposed where I was at
- 9:40within my relationship with my religion at the time and
- 9:44faith. It was like so fear-based, right? And I think that's a lot of times
- 9:48where, um, whether that's any religion or whether
- 9:52that's, um, you know, how you're raised Catholic,
- 9:55that fear-based mentality of that, that like is the driving
- 9:59force of your belief, is to me just like backwards.
- 10:03Right? Like, it just doesn't make sense to be so fearful
- 10:06of a God that is just love, right?
- 10:10Agape love, pure love, joy.
- 10:13And I think that's a human thing that we kind of do. But I think
- 10:17at the base of it, it was really starting to understand,
- 10:20like, do you actually have faith? Or are you just scared not to
- 10:24have a relationship with God? And that just feels like, think about like
- 10:28being in a relationship. Like, are you in love with that other person?
- 10:32Or are you just like, fearful that that other person's like going
- 10:35to leave you and that's the drive. It's just not a healthy relationship.
- 10:38And we wouldn't consider it a healthy relationship within each other here on earth.
- 10:43So why would that be our relationship with God? So I
- 10:46think that's really where that started.
- 10:49And that was tough for me in the beginning.
- 10:53Like there was a lot of feeling like, am I doing something woo-woo?
- 10:57Am I doing something wrong? And what I've learned through that was like,
- 11:00I was really just cutting off my own curiosity before
- 11:03it was able to begin. And as I'm able to step into
- 11:09more of this work and just learn more, I've really trusted my intuition
- 11:13and what I feel to be true and what I feel not to be true.
- 11:16So now instead of being just like fearful that I'm doing something wrong,
- 11:20like I truly trust myself that like this is leading me closer to a better
- 11:24relationship with God. I'm going to feel it. So why wouldn't I explore anything
- 11:28and everything, right? And like help people honestly um,
- 11:32bridge that gap for themselves. I feel like that's part of a purpose
- 11:36here for me. Um, so coming to like where I've come to
- 11:39that with my faith now, um, I think there,
- 11:42there's so, there's so many crossovers in, in religion.
- 11:46And I think a lot of times religion can just be,
- 11:50um, divisive when it just, it, it doesn't need to be.
- 11:54I think in so many different ways we are saying the
- 11:57same thing, but we just have different labels or terms.
- 12:01And because of that, then we argue and
- 12:04like tell the other person, no, your way's wrong, this way's wrong. Like,
- 12:08that to me is just where I get lost with religion.
- 12:12And this is like obviously like where I'm at right now. I'm excited to
- 12:16continue to explore and step
- 12:19into that more myself. But where I've come to now
- 12:23is having that relationship with God is most important.
- 12:29And I come back to Jesus a lot. That was obviously, he was a big
- 12:32part of my life growing up. Being raised Catholic, but in this
- 12:36work it's only brought me closer to him and
- 12:40closer to understanding him and closer to understanding like what
- 12:45his purpose was and, and, you know, strengthening my, my faith
- 12:49in that. Um, so it's— it feels for
- 12:53the first time really, it feels like I actually do have faith.
- 12:58Yeah, you hit on something so huge too.
- 13:02A lot of things are just a difference in terminology.
- 13:05Like, a lot of the principles are the same. You know,
- 13:09you may have a spiritual person refer to karma, and you
- 13:13may have a Christian refer to sowing and reaping, but it's the
- 13:17same principle, you know. And you may talk about, like,
- 13:21um, you know, where, where the Bible says, according to
- 13:25your faith be it unto you. And you may have a mindset coach say,
- 13:27if you see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.
- 13:30Like it's the same thing. Like, like, you know, I love in,
- 13:34uh, in one of the coaching courses that I teach, the Revolution of Purpose coaching
- 13:38course, I talk about how, um, you know,
- 13:41the Bible has 3 different scriptures that I think really sort of go
- 13:45together and prove out this work. And one is that God gives us
- 13:49the desires of our heart. And I believe that means that God puts the desires
- 13:52in our heart. That we are supposed to kind of go after.
- 13:56Like, like growing up, I was taught, oh, well, if I desire
- 13:59it, I can have it. And that's manifestation, right? I desire a Cadillac,
- 14:03so poof, I'll have a Cadillac. But I realized at some point, no,
- 14:06God's giving me those desires. Like, I am,
- 14:10I am not separate from God. The things that I desire are there because
- 14:14if God gives me the desire, then he's going to give me the capability to
- 14:17do it. So he gives me the desires of our heart. And then there's the
- 14:21scripture that says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
- 14:24And then there's a scripture that says, in the tongue is the power of life
- 14:28and death. And right there, you put the 3 of those together, and they
- 14:32basically are giving an absolute biblical,
- 14:36uh, explanation of what we believe in mindset world of,
- 14:39of speaking your reality into existence and the
- 14:43power of energy and thought and all of that. And I think that
- 14:47this whole work does not have to be separate from biblical
- 14:51teaching or separate from whatever religion you come from.
- 14:55It actually is proved out over and over again in so many of these
- 14:59things, just in different terms. 100%. And I'm so glad
- 15:03that you're, you're on the call and able to like pinpoint those specific—
- 15:07because there's like 10 that I have in my head that they always like,
- 15:11you know, just float away at the time that I want to bring them up.
- 15:13But there's been so many more even throughout like reading more
- 15:19of the Bible and, and how I'm able to read the Bible and, and relate
- 15:21to it and, and have this work as a background to be able to understand
- 15:25some of those things a bit more has been great. Um, and like you
- 15:29touched on too though, like the separation, right? Like it doesn't have to be—
- 15:32we create separation and, and everything,
- 15:36right? Like, and when you talk about the quantum field, like the
- 15:40thought and the experience— Joe Dispenza says this all the time— happens instantaneously.
- 15:44Happens at the same time. There's no separation. There is no time.
- 15:48But us as the humans, as the vessel, we create the separation.
- 15:53We create the time, right? We create the separation from ourselves
- 15:56and nature in the universe, thinking that we're separate, right?
- 16:00And then we create separation between each other, thinking that you
- 16:04are not me and I'm not you and we are separate. That's just a human
- 16:08thing to create that separation that really just doesn't need
- 16:11to be there. Absolutely. You know, taking it
- 16:15back from a biblical perspective, again, we're joint heirs with Christ. I mean,
- 16:18we, you know, right there, when you think about
- 16:22the fact that the same, the same power
- 16:26that created the universe, the same power that is still,
- 16:31you know, creating this ever-expanding universe,
- 16:34is the same power that is flowing within us. And when
- 16:38you realize that we're tapped into that power, that we're joint heirs with Christ,
- 16:42or even those who are from different religions can still say,
- 16:45oh, well, they, they understand that this, this, this God
- 16:49that is so huge is also minute and living in our smallest
- 16:54subatomic particles in our body. And so it's beautiful to think
- 16:58that we have this life force within us. And when you start to wrap your
- 17:02mind around that, you realize you truly cannot fail,
- 17:06you know. And, and that's where in mindset coaching we talk about
- 17:10how everything is happening for us instead of happening to us. And the biblical
- 17:14way to look at that is all things work together for good, you know.
- 17:17I mean, it's still, again, it's saying the same thing but in different words.
- 17:21And that has been freeing for me because there have been so many times
- 17:25in my life that I look back and I'm like, this was such a hard
- 17:29season. And when I was going through it, I just felt like I was alone,
- 17:32or where was God in this for me during this period?
- 17:36But now when you look back in it, you can still see God's hand there.
- 17:39You can still see this higher power that's
- 17:43greater than me was still working things out for my good,
- 17:46even if it sucked to go through at the time, even if it was absolutely
- 17:50terrible. I can see that that's when I grew, and that's what
- 17:54kept helping me become the identity of the person I am today. And so,
- 17:58yeah, I, I just, I love the, I love the thought
- 18:02of just this whole intersection of faith and mindset coaching. And,
- 18:06you know, if you think of some of the OGs in this, you know,
- 18:08some of the, like Neville Goddard, you know,
- 18:12or Napoleon Hill, both of them were, were followers
- 18:16of Christ. Now, Neville Goddard, you know, was a huge believer in,
- 18:19in like Bible-based principles, but he did take it to like the
- 18:23metaphysical side and sort of the quantum physics and that. So let
- 18:28me ask you kind of that question. Where do you think God fits into the
- 18:32whole quantum leap, quantum physics
- 18:35and all of this? Do you think that is an expression of God? 100%.
- 18:39And I'm glad I was going to bring up some of the greats as well.
- 18:42So I'm glad you did that. I don't think God fits into that. I think
- 18:46God is the quantum, right? Like everything is God.
- 18:49Like, and like you talked about before,
- 18:52We are just experiencing that here. We're having— we
- 18:57are the universe having a human experience, right?
- 19:00We're not humans experiencing the universe. And that goes back to that separation that,
- 19:04that we create. Um, so I, I think that God
- 19:08is everything, right? So when I was getting in more into this work,
- 19:12um, well, first off, to kind of just start off with being
- 19:17an entrepreneur Right? And, and that's a whole journey within
- 19:21itself. And, and tapping into that entrepreneurial world and,
- 19:25and figuring out like, okay, what are some of the greats doing
- 19:30that have achieved high levels of success?
- 19:33It's like no matter where I looked, I could not escape this
- 19:38specific type of mindset work and like manifesting
- 19:41and the thought, like the how powerful your thoughts are, how they— like
- 19:45I just could— like I would read this book and I wouldn't even think that
- 19:49they were— it was like that type of book. And maybe it wasn't the whole
- 19:52book, but there was at least one section or part about it. So it's like
- 19:55everywhere I looked, I was like, all right, I can't escape this. Like, this is
- 19:59the way. Like, this is it. And then when I started diving more into the
- 20:03greats of that specific work— Thomas Troward, Napoleon Hill,
- 20:06Neville Goddard— I couldn't escape the Bible
- 20:10and Jesus. Like, it was all pushing you back towards that,
- 20:13but in a, in a different understanding, right? In a different way of,
- 20:17um, kind of their expression of that.
- 20:20So that's where it all started to come together for me was like, okay,
- 20:24like there's so many things that are just pushing me
- 20:28in the universe, pushing me towards this mindset work. And then there's
- 20:32so many things that are also pushing me towards my, my faith in, in Jesus
- 20:36and God. So it was like, all right, even those things don't have to— they
- 20:39are actually not separate, they are one. And it,
- 20:42and it, it just makes sense. Of course it's, it's all connected, right?
- 20:46Yeah. So have you found Because you're probably like me, a lot of
- 20:50my clients are from different faith traditions and some from no faith
- 20:54traditions. I always tell everybody when, when we have our first talk
- 20:58about if I'm a good fit for them as a coach, that I've
- 21:03had clients that are agnostic, who are spiritual, who are Christian, Muslim, Jewish,
- 21:06Buddhist. And basically the only
- 21:10clients that don't usually resonate with me are people who are just flat out
- 21:14atheists. They don't believe there's anything greater or anything bigger, any higher
- 21:18power. And I have no judgment there. That's, that's their belief and it's
- 21:21fine. But it just runs so contrary to what I believe.
- 21:25Like, I believe the quantum field, like you said, is God. It's all God.
- 21:28And, and, and that no matter what you believe, as long
- 21:31as you believe there is something higher, then we have that together.
- 21:35How are— how have you noticed when you're coaching people
- 21:39from different faith backgrounds your own faith sort of
- 21:44still playing a part without sort of saying, no, you have to believe exactly the
- 21:47way I believe for us to have anything in common? Yeah, I think
- 21:51that's a great question. I think that's something that I still like work through,
- 21:55right? And I, I'm still, um, learning. I'm newer into this,
- 21:59uh, mindset coaching journey myself. Um,
- 22:03so for me, I think coming back to
- 22:06like embodiment is always,
- 22:09uh, like the first step. And I think that was something
- 22:12that I learned through this work. There were so many awarenesses
- 22:16and things that I was learning that I wanted to then
- 22:19like quote unquote force onto other people, especially those
- 22:24that are closer in my circle, because I probably had fears that
- 22:28like, well, if they don't think it, then they might be able to change my
- 22:31opinion. And like, well, I want to change them as well. And like wanting
- 22:34to do it like with words, right? Or, or somehow
- 22:37like teaching them. And like, and I wasn't even embodying
- 22:41it myself first, right? Like, I'm just gaining these awarenesses. So I
- 22:45think it works in the same way. Like, if I'm embodying— you can't transfer
- 22:49what you don't have. So if I'm embodying my faith,
- 22:52that is going to speak more volume in these coaching sessions
- 22:57and these calls and things like that than anything that I can say Right,
- 23:00on those calls, they will feel that, that will be something that may open
- 23:04the door for them a bit more to, to understand. Because my goal is
- 23:09to help people, you know, reach joy and achieve abundance,
- 23:13like true abundance in my— in their lives. Right. Like that's out of
- 23:17Venus Consulting. Like that's what we are about.
- 23:20Having said that, I do believe that me embodying
- 23:24my highest and best self is going to just naturally attract
- 23:29those clients to their highest and best self. That makes sense. So that
- 23:33doesn't necessarily mean changing their faith by,
- 23:37by any means, but I do think that opens the door
- 23:41for them to be receptive of the way that I'm
- 23:45then coaching. Because I, I will say
- 23:49things with like Jesus in there, and maybe somebody doesn't necessarily
- 23:53believe it, but maybe that's something that they're like, oh, that actually does
- 23:56make sense. Now maybe they're viewing you know, in their relationship with, with Jesus
- 24:01is, is different, right? Or, or however that might come to be.
- 24:05But I think that embodiment is, is where it starts.
- 24:08Well, and I think that like you talked about earlier about the separation that sometimes
- 24:11religion causes, if we're in fear, then fear
- 24:16is telling us, well, you've got to convert everyone you
- 24:19meet. Where actually what we're saying is,
- 24:22you know, again, you can go back to scripture. We all work out our own
- 24:25salvation and fear and trembling. So we all have our own, our own path to
- 24:30whatever that looks like. And I think that if we just live our
- 24:33authentic self and we're flowing in our creator,
- 24:37which is love, then our very existence
- 24:41is going to help meet people where they need to be met.
- 24:44And so it's not about conversion or they're going to,
- 24:48you know, die and go to hell. And I'm so fearful that I didn't do
- 24:52my thing. No, it's just understanding that people come
- 24:55from different faith traditions and that it's okay to let them believe
- 24:59the way they believe and me believe the way I believe and find a place
- 25:02of, of, um, respect for each other and
- 25:06then flow in what we do have in common, this amazing
- 25:10greater higher power. You know, Bob Proctor calls God
- 25:14Source, and, you know, Neville Goddard calls God God,
- 25:18and then I've— or Napoleon Hill Spirit, like, you hear
- 25:21all these different words, but we're all talking about the same thing.
- 25:25And when we can give enough space to have differences without trying to
- 25:29make sure everybody believes exactly the way we do, that's where we find growth.
- 25:32That's where we find friendship. That's where we find connection. And I think
- 25:36there is no greater way to flow in our divine
- 25:39creator than in relationship, you know,
- 25:43in, in those things we have in common.
- 25:45100%. I think so, so often, I,
- 25:49I think, like you said, we create that separation anytime
- 25:53we bring in judgment. I think that's where things start to, to get
- 25:57dicey, uh, for, for us as, as humans, right? And like how
- 26:00we judge others, right? And that's a great reflection of like how we're actually judging
- 26:04ourselves and loving ourselves, uh, which is, you know,
- 26:08just a, a funny thing that us humans Um,
- 26:12but yeah, I think, I think that makes, uh, a lot of sense.
- 26:15Um, I think for,
- 26:19for me, and going back to that embodiment,
- 26:23I think a lot of times there's no, there's no proof or
- 26:27data or numbers behind this, right? But I think you could have somebody
- 26:32that is Hindu that may be living
- 26:37a more Catholic life And without even them
- 26:41knowing it, believing and embodying like Jesus
- 26:45per se, more so than somebody that's talking the talk of
- 26:48Catholicism. Right. And it's, it's going back to that labelism
- 26:53just because they haven't said the words that you say,
- 26:56that then we either cast judgment or then try to change
- 27:01because we need to save them for some reason. Right. And I think
- 27:05like if it just in Catholicism alone, if Jesus is
- 27:08the North Star, how did he do it? He did it by
- 27:12embodiment and just purely being.
- 27:16And that was so magnetizing. And his aura of just
- 27:20what he was as in, in his true being was so
- 27:24transformative. So that is— that's beautiful,
- 27:28Chachi. I mean, that is— that is exactly it.
- 27:31Embodying, you know, love God and love your neighbor.
- 27:34That is a universal commandment that we can all find
- 27:38common ground in. And that was, those were his 2 greatest
- 27:42commandments. And I think, you know, I, I think that we can all
- 27:45find that. My, my Muslim clients, my Jewish clients,
- 27:49my spiritual clients, my Buddhist clients, they all can agree on let's
- 27:53love our higher power. Let's love our neighbor. And when we flow in that love,
- 27:57we're embodying that. We're flowing in that, that quantum
- 28:01field. We're flowing in that Christ consciousness. We're flowing in
- 28:05that, that is bigger than ourselves. One of my favorite quotes,
- 28:08um, actually comes from Rumi,
- 28:12and it is that we are not a drop in the ocean. We are the
- 28:15entire ocean in one drop. And I just love that because
- 28:19we are all connected. And for me to look at my
- 28:23friends in Pakistan or my friends in South Africa or, or my friends
- 28:27in Canada and be like, no, we're, you know, we're not connected. No, we absolutely
- 28:31are. And we don't have to be connected in doctrine.
- 28:35Even Christians aren't connected in doctrine, you know,
- 28:38and we're not going to always be connected in theology. And the church I was
- 28:42raised in growing up is not the same type of church I go to now,
- 28:45and all that is different. But we can be connected in
- 28:48love. And I think if we believe that this higher power,
- 28:52that God is love, then the more that we
- 28:56flow in that love and connection, the more we're embodying our higher power.
- 29:00Um, so yeah, what you said was, was beautiful and it, yeah, sent me
- 29:04on sort of that tangent, but I love that. So I want to kind
- 29:08of delve into now, I wanted to kind of get into this early
- 29:12because I feel like your relationship with God sort of shapes everything.
- 29:16So let's go into a little more of your story, Chachi, and tell me,
- 29:20how did you end up going from Maine to
- 29:23Florida, I guess. Did you just want to become Florida Man? Like, you kept
- 29:27reading these headlines about Florida Man, you're like, I could beat that, you know?
- 29:31Like, how, how was it? Was there an awakening? What happened in Maine
- 29:36that took you to Florida? And then I have a follow-up question about that
- 29:40on awakening. But yeah, how did you end up in Florida, first of all?
- 29:44Yeah, I think that I just saw people wrestling alligators and I was like,
- 29:47I think I can do that. I'm there. I'm there.
- 29:51No, I think honestly, I was, I was at
- 29:55kind of like a tipping point in my life where like I had achieved,
- 29:58quote unquote, like success or what I viewed success
- 30:02as at the time and just still felt
- 30:05like there was some emptiness right there. It just like still wasn't
- 30:09it. So I was still in that like, I'm certain, like, what, what, why do
- 30:13I feel this way? Like, what, why, what is this pulling me towards?
- 30:17And I couldn't shake it, right? Like, I was happy, things were good, but like,
- 30:20just couldn't shake this feeling. So I was very open to things
- 30:24changing at that time. Um, I actually moved down to Florida,
- 30:29um, with an ex-girlfriend. So that was something that was,
- 30:32you know, part of my experience and journey. And the relationship didn't survive
- 30:36the move, uh, and that, you know, had— that could be a whole nother
- 30:40podcast. But, um, I, I think it's funny enough,
- 30:44um, she actually had a dream of moving
- 30:48to Florida. She was like, she just woke up one day, I was like,
- 30:52you know, had the dream, I think we should kind of explore it. And I
- 30:54was like, cool, let's do it, right? And I, I think I
- 30:58love my openness to that, right? And I think it,
- 31:02it was meant for me and expanded me. And there's, you know, the growth
- 31:05that I've experienced since that decision is, uh, huge.
- 31:09At the same time, uh, I didn't really know where I was going and
- 31:13I was kind of floating. Right? And so what brought me down
- 31:17there? My ex-girlfriend had a dream, right? It's as simple as that. Uh, and,
- 31:21and I wanted to get out of the cold. So I do think that that
- 31:24led to when things, uh,
- 31:27started not to work out in, in the business, you know. And I was getting
- 31:31into this mindset work but nowhere close to really understanding
- 31:34it or embodying it. I did have like a moment of like,
- 31:38what the heck just happened? Like, yeah, I'm living with my parents
- 31:42now. I, I don't own any more real estate. I don't feel like
- 31:46I'm financially secure. I don't have a girlfriend anymore, and I'm in a complete— like,
- 31:50that happened in a year, in the blink of an eye. And I think part
- 31:54of that had to do with, you know, not being intentional and,
- 31:58and really knowing what I wanted. So I, I was kind of floating
- 32:02around with, with the universe. Luckily,
- 32:05universe had my back, uh, and was growing and expanding me,
- 32:09um, during that entire process. But I do think that that,
- 32:13you know, intentionality is important. Please pardon this interruption to

- 33:41to create their best life through also living their own revolution of purpose.
- 33:45Now let's get you back to the Revolution of Purpose podcast.
- 33:49Well, and do you think when all of that is gone,
- 33:53all of a sudden you don't own real estate, all of a sudden you
- 33:57don't feel financially secure, all of a sudden you're back living with your parents,
- 34:00all of that just changes so quickly. That forces
- 34:04you to really see who you are without all of those labels,
- 34:08right? I mean, did that really have a lot to do with your identity and
- 34:12figuring out who you truly were? Single,
- 34:15back at home, not having the financial stability that
- 34:19you once had. Like, what did that do for your identity?
- 34:22Everything, right? Like, I think to be connected
- 34:26truly to my authentic self, like all of those distractions needed
- 34:29to go away because that's what they were. And what I realized was like,
- 34:33you know, at the time I never considered myself like wealthy, right?
- 34:36And that, that's a whole nother conversation of self-identity and, and all
- 34:40of those things. Um, but where I was at, I never considered myself
- 34:45like wealthy, but I, I was living comfortably, right?
- 34:48I was living a good life. Um, I didn't think I had enough money
- 34:52in the bank for it to like lean on for
- 34:56my confidence. And I didn't think that, like, I was a confident
- 35:00person before. I didn't realize how much of, like, my identity and confidence
- 35:04I put into my partner, right? So all these things get stripped
- 35:08away, and, like, I, I was as, as close to what
- 35:12I would consider, like, depression as, as possible for
- 35:16me in, in my life, right? And it felt like rock bottom. And what I
- 35:20realized was Like, not just like my identity and who I was, because that was
- 35:23a big question. It's like, who, who am I? Like, what do I want
- 35:27to do? What do I like to do? Like, you know, um, figuring that out
- 35:31was a, was a journey. But also that I didn't, I didn't love myself.
- 35:35And not in a way of like I like hated myself, but like when all
- 35:39of those things went away, all of those crutches that I didn't know were crutches,
- 35:42and I was just left with just me and like my being
- 35:46I, I felt so low, right? And I felt so ashamed and
- 35:50I felt so worthless. So it was like a moment for me
- 35:54to truly understand what loving yourself, just your
- 35:59pure self, not because you've achieved this or done this—
- 36:02like, I got that, that chance to love myself at that level.
- 36:07And I think that that is a, like, just such a blessing, right?
- 36:11Because a lot of times people come into this work and, and they get
- 36:15to experience loving themselves, um, but maybe they never get to
- 36:19that low, right? Like, maybe they don't really know if they got to that
- 36:22low, are there more layers or deeper love that they can find for just
- 36:27their pure existence and what they truly are? I think
- 36:31that's, that's so, um, that's so well said.
- 36:34And, you know, I, I— so growing up, I grew up in
- 36:38a different faith tradition than you did. You grew up in Catholicism, but I grew
- 36:41up in like a charismatic Pentecostal sort of Word
- 36:45of Faith type of thing. And, and like, I was always taught
- 36:48that, you know, God doesn't test us. We don't, you know, we may
- 36:52go through things, God works out, God doesn't test us. And I think
- 36:56I've realized looking back through life, there are things that absolutely
- 37:00I think were put there to test me. I think now that
- 37:04God, it's how God uses the universe
- 37:08to our good. And so, because there are things that we have to go through
- 37:12to make us the person we have to be to live our purpose.
- 37:16And so, you know, I believe that
- 37:20when you look back at that famous Steve Jobs quote, you can't connect the dots
- 37:24looking forward, you can connect the dots looking backwards. This time that
- 37:27you went through set the stage for who
- 37:32Chachi became as a mindset. Coach. I mean, is that fair to say?
- 37:36100%. Um, I have a deeper level
- 37:40of, um, you know, connection and a deeper
- 37:44level of experience and knowledge that I get to bring to my clients to
- 37:49help them through maybe a similar situation or to help them avoid
- 37:53a similar situation. Um, and I think that's something too,
- 37:56is like you can't connect the dots, uh, always when
- 38:02you're in it. But now looking back, I, I truly am grateful for it.
- 38:04I understand, um, why it was there and how
- 38:08it helped me grow to where I'm at right now. But I can also
- 38:12see how I created it. Like, there, there were, you know,
- 38:16where focus goes, energy flows, and, and all of the mindset work
- 38:20with all of this stuff. You better believe before
- 38:23I was, you know, broken up and before I hit
- 38:27that financial spot and before I moved in with the parents, that, that was a
- 38:31big fear of mine, all 3 of them that I focused on, right? And I
- 38:35thought I was doing the right thing by focusing on them.
- 38:38Yeah. So I could avoid them. And what I didn't realize was I was just
- 38:42creating it, right? And creating it and creating it. So I think it's a double-edged
- 38:46sword where it's like, I do believe that those like low moments,
- 38:50like you can rise from the ashes and, and you're going to grow and
- 38:54expand, uh, in greater ways because of it. But being on
- 38:57the other side of it, I also do believe that you don't have to have
- 39:00those in order to grow, right? Like, now I get to
- 39:03grow in just the harmonious and, and graceful
- 39:07and easy way, um, and grow faster
- 39:11and grow to new heights and new levels, uh, and just in that awareness
- 39:15and belief. That the most amazing thing to
- 39:19me about things happening for us instead of to us.
- 39:22When— whether they happen because they are out of our control or they
- 39:26happen because we absolutely caused them to happen, still,
- 39:30thankfully, God, the universe works it all for our good.
- 39:34Somehow good will come out of it. And that gives so much faith
- 39:38and comfort, especially when we screw up. Yeah. You know,
- 39:41especially when we go through a period where we know we're like, yeah, man,
- 39:44manifested this because I was afraid of it for 6 months solid.
- 39:48And then, you know, like, at least we know somehow we're learning
- 39:52from this. Somehow we're going to get through this, and it's going to,
- 39:55it's going to give us something for our testimony, our story,
- 39:59something that we can help somebody else with. So where
- 40:03does this story that you went through from
- 40:07moving to Maine to Florida, where does this fit in with experience
- 40:11that you had in Banff, Canada? Because I definitely want
- 40:16you to tell the story of what I feel like, from knowing this story about
- 40:19you, was an identity shift that you had in Canada
- 40:23at the, you know, at, at the, um,
- 40:27the, uh, conference in Banff. So yeah,
- 40:30how does this fit into that? And then will you share that story with us?
- 40:34Yeah, I'd love to. So I, I think it kind of started back,
- 40:37um, a little bit before Banff, um, I joined
- 40:41a high-level mindset coaching program,
- 40:45uh, and, uh, it was a
- 40:48stretch for me. Like I said, I was financially in a spot,
- 40:52um, I don't even know— Mom and Dad, stop listening. I don't, I don't want
- 40:56you to, uh— I don't even think my family knows, uh, to,
- 41:00to the extent that I went through these things. But, uh, I was just at
- 41:04a point where financially, like, I, I wasn't what I would say was secure,
- 41:07right? I think that's a normal way, a 3D way of looking at finances.
- 41:12Um, and I, I knew there was a
- 41:16calling, there was a desire to be in this coaching program. So it was
- 41:20$25,000 for a 6-month program. Uh,
- 41:24so I listened to my intuition and I listened to my desire and I
- 41:28stepped in into that program paid in full, right? And I was like, I'm gonna
- 41:32find a way to pay it in full. Like, I'm going all in. I'm not
- 41:35doing like the you pay month to month and like you're half in,
- 41:38half out. Like, no, let's rip the Band-Aid. You're gonna put in what
- 41:42you're gonna get out of it. So paid in full. And through that,
- 41:46I found 3 things happened.
- 41:50One, somehow somebody started mentioning like
- 41:540% interest credit cards for business. So I got—
- 41:58I found— I like started to go down that avenue, got $50K in credit
- 42:03line for for the business that I had, which helped pay for—
- 42:07like, I put some of that on those credit cards, right? So that's,
- 42:11that's where like half of that came from, which also
- 42:15ended up going forward helped me through some slow seasons of
- 42:18that business as well. So it wasn't just a blessing to get me— it also
- 42:22was like beneficial for where, where I was at in the business.
- 42:26Um, so that was one. The other thing that came to my, to my mind
- 42:29was I bought a new car recently. Uh, it's a car that I love,
- 42:33but it was no means my like dream car, right? I wasn't like,
- 42:37I don't want to let go of this. So I sold it, uh, and like
- 42:41swapped it out for, for another new car and got $16,000 back
- 42:45in cash and kept the same car payment. So that went
- 42:49towards it. And the day after I made the decision to
- 42:53join that program, I received 2 calls from
- 42:58real estate clients back in Now, this was in June
- 43:03that I made the decision. I had done no lead gen for
- 43:07Maine real estate at that time. I still held my license. And I had done
- 43:11zero real estate deals up until that
- 43:15point. And out of the blue, 2 people called
- 43:19me, both wanting to buy and sell their current house or sell their current and
- 43:23buy a new house. So that revenue was $19,000
- 43:28that came in, not right away, but just through those real estate deals,
- 43:32just out of nowhere, right? So it's like, because I stepped into that
- 43:36desire, I was fully supported. Now you can—
- 43:40oh, they were coming either way. Maybe, maybe they were, maybe they weren't, but I
- 43:44was supported either way, right? So I was able to step
- 43:48in and make that decision. So that was, that was huge to begin with.
- 43:51With that came a live event in Banff that
- 43:56the Mindset program was putting on. It was Puneeth and Joel. You know,
- 44:00I know, you know, Puneeth. And Puneeth's been a guest on this podcast.
- 44:04Yeah. Yeah. Master P. Can't, can't say enough good things
- 44:08about Puneeth. And he's been a huge part of my journey.
- 44:11And so with that, there was that Banff event and
- 44:16it was included in the ticket. Obviously, like you buy your own flights and room
- 44:20and stuff like that, but like the actual event ticket price was included
- 44:24in the program that I had joined. Now,
- 44:27I still almost didn't go to Banff. Like, I still had all
- 44:31of my paradigms that I was like kind of letting seep in. Like,
- 44:34don't like flying, that's 2 big flights, right? Like,
- 44:38so that was one. The other one was like, I can't leave like the
- 44:41business right now. I feel like I can't like physically leave because I ran
- 44:44a short-term rental company. I didn't want the house— like, I had a runner,
- 44:48but like I just because, you know, just paradigms, right? That I'm like, I have
- 44:51to be here physically. And then the other was that
- 44:55I didn't have the finances to even just pay for the,
- 44:58the flight and the rooms and stuff like that. Felt uncomfortable. So I
- 45:03at one point talked myself out of going to Banff. And then once again,
- 45:06I listened to like, no, you're feeling called to go there.
- 45:10The highest version of you, $100K a month Josh, goes to Banff.
- 45:14He goes on these trips, he gets on those long flights, he does those things.
- 45:17So I was like, there you go, he gets in those rooms. Yeah.
- 45:20And he was— yeah, that's what he does. It was so obvious. So I
- 45:24just, I listened to that. I was like, all right, family called, I'm going.
- 45:27Went to Banff, ended up completely changing my life. One of the best experiences
- 45:31that I had. You talk to anyone that was at that event,
- 45:35they'll have nothing but good things to say. Like the, the time we had
- 45:39with each other, like it just like through and through, the level of the room,
- 45:43it it was amazing. And you're in Banff, like, and you're in these expansive
- 45:46mountains, and like, you just get to remember like, oh yeah,
- 45:49like that beautiful lake and expansive mountain that
- 45:53like the universe— that's the same thing that created me. Like, you just
- 45:57have that, you know, environment to, to be able to grow and expand into.
- 46:00So, um, at the event is where I met Adam of Venus.
- 46:04Uh, he was, uh— it was a joint event with my mindset coaching
- 46:08program at the time. Um, and he put me on the spot at the event.
- 46:12I think he asked if people were— anyone like wanted
- 46:16to do something that they weren't doing, right? And I was like, I want to
- 46:19be a mindset coach. He was like, okay, are you a mindset
- 46:23coach? I was like, no. He just kind of like paused and
- 46:27he was like, are you a mindset coach? And I was like,
- 46:30yes. I don't know, like, I'm Ron Burgundy. You want me
- 46:34to say yes, so I'm gonna throw it out there, but I ain't coaching mindset
- 46:37right now. Uh, and then he like snapped back and he was like, are you
- 46:40a mindset coach? And I was like, yes,
- 46:44in front of everyone. He was like, all right, we'll see,
- 46:48right? And that's all, that's all he said. And I was like, this guy,
- 46:51I'm gonna, I'm gonna show him, right? So, uh, I made a decision, right,
- 46:55that I didn't need to wait until I was a
- 46:59millionaire. I didn't need to wait till I was in my 40s or 50s because
- 47:03these are all paradigms that I had that I was holding myself back. I made
- 47:06the decision that no, I am a mindset coach, right? And it was easy to—
- 47:09easier to make in the room in an expansive environment.
- 47:13And then when I went home, I had to see if that was a real
- 47:16decision. I had to make the decision again. Am I going to follow through?
- 47:19So spoiler alert, I'm on the call now as,
- 47:24as a mindset coach. Uh, so I, I did. I stuck
- 47:28with it and Completely changed my life. And that, that was about a year ago
- 47:32earlier this month. Um, so even
- 47:35crazier that I probably called you like a week or two after that. So we're,
- 47:39we're, this might be one year to the day that we first
- 47:42had that phone call, which is, which is crazy. It absolutely could
- 47:46be. Yeah. I, um, yeah, I, I love,
- 47:51well, first of all, it took, it took an
- 47:55identity shift for you to be able to answer and call your shot. In front
- 47:59of a room full of people. And then it took your identity shift when
- 48:02you got back home to really make that decision.
- 48:05I love, you know, Bob Proctor talks about how every time we make a decision,
- 48:08we make it twice. We make it the first time that we say we're going
- 48:12to do something. And then we make it the second time when we actually break
- 48:16through what he calls the terror barrier, when we break through the fear of
- 48:20actually putting action behind that decision. And so you went home and
- 48:24were like, okay, I've called the shot in front of a room full of successful
- 48:29people, and this is what they do. And this is what, this is
- 48:32what I'm gonna do. And, and you followed through with it. And I'm so glad
- 48:36you did because what you are doing in mindset coaching is
- 48:40going to change lives because you're flowing in your purpose,
- 48:44you know? And that's, that's the whole, that's why I asked you to be on
- 48:47this podcast. The only people who I interview are people who I feel like are
- 48:49flowing in their purpose. Purpose. If it had been a year ago and you were
- 48:53still doing all the other things and not mindset coaching, you wouldn't be sitting here
- 48:57because you were— you're thinking about flooring and your purpose, but you made
- 49:02the difficult decision to give up, to give up of the old
- 49:06titles, to give up the old identity, to become the Chauncey
- 49:09Horgan who is a mindset coach. And I'm so glad you did because you've,
- 49:13you've touched my life, you touched the life of so many people that you come
- 49:16in contact with. There are people that you will be able to coach that will
- 49:20resonate with you that wouldn't resonate with me, that wouldn't resonate with Adam of Venus,
- 49:23wouldn't resonate with Puneeth. There are people that you can coach that need
- 49:27your authentic light. And so, I'm so glad you said yes to that
- 49:31and yes to that calling and that intuition. So appreciative
- 49:35of even you saying that because I think, you know, as being a coach,
- 49:38like when you have somebody tell you like, you changed
- 49:42my life, or you like even like, you just made my day. So much better,
- 49:45or you made me feel better, have this aware—
- 49:49like, that's just— it just feels so good, right? Like, you feel
- 49:52more aligned with your purpose. It's a reminder of like,
- 49:55okay, this is why, right? This is why I'm doing it. This is why I
- 49:59made those decisions. Um, so yeah, I'm just grateful.
- 50:02Absolutely. Let me, let me ask you—
- 50:06I know we're getting kind of short on time, so I have a couple more
- 50:09questions, but One thing we did talk about there is kind of intuition.
- 50:14So how do you know when something
- 50:18down deep is an intuition? And is that the same
- 50:22as like from a Christian perspective being led by the Holy Spirit, or is
- 50:26that the same as God kind of prompting you to do something? Like, how do
- 50:29you know what that voice is and how you're supposed to answer
- 50:33it? Yeah, I think it's such a good question because
- 50:37I think the intuition is truly our inner guiding force, right? And as coaches
- 50:41now, especially with like Adam, that's what we say all the time is
- 50:45like, we're teaching you how to trust your intuition. We're not like giving you like,
- 50:48hey, you make this decision. We're not telling you what to do because
- 50:53only you know what's going to be best for you. We're connecting you
- 50:57to that intuition, to that inner guiding force. And that has been night and day
- 51:00for me where it's like I've always had that and I
- 51:05would say like trusted it to an extent, but also would always like second guess
- 51:08it. Or I always wanted somebody else's opinion on it, right? Like that. I was,
- 51:11I was the guy like, before I make a decision, I need to call my
- 51:14friends and I need to talk it out with them before
- 51:17I make a decision, right? And maybe I don't go with their decision, but just
- 51:21hearing them talk about it, like, then I'm going to be more secure in my
- 51:25decision, whichever way that is. And it couldn't be more opposite now
- 51:28of like, I make my decisions. I still talk
- 51:32with my friends and I will still, but a lot of times it's like after.
- 51:36Right? Like, after the decision was already made, still talking about the experience,
- 51:39because I trust my intuition and, and my guiding force to
- 51:44the end, right? Like, and going to God first and
- 51:49going to silence first, right? Which is an awesome reminder.
- 51:52Sometimes that's like— I even forget that. I'll be on a call with Adam
- 51:56and I'll be like, I'm doing all these things, this is— and he's like,
- 51:59have you taken it to God yet? Have you sat in silence? And I'm I
- 52:03knew I was forgetting something. Uh, so here— no, that,
- 52:06that's the first thing, and I, I haven't done that about this yet,
- 52:10so let me go do that. Um, but I truly think that
- 52:14that is like your guiding force. It's, it's where those decisions come from. So when
- 52:17you understand what, uh,
- 52:20that intuition is, and, and, and it kind of goes towards desire as
- 52:24well, and like the, the right energy, uh, to step into,
- 52:28like the the right type of desire, I think that's when you're aligned,
- 52:32right, with God's will. I think that's where you— when
- 52:36you're in alignment with God's will, God's will is going to be your highest
- 52:40and best achieving. So it's only going to be aligned with that version of
- 52:44you. It knows what's best for you. So that's when you're truly powerful.
- 52:48Yeah. So, um, uh, would you say
- 52:52that being in alignment with God's will is the same
- 52:56as manifestation? I mean, is that, is that,
- 53:01or is that the point of manifestation? I don't know. I, I do know that
- 53:05like it's almost triggering for me to hear someone say being aligned with
- 53:09God's will because I grew up in, in a church that was like, if you
- 53:13fall out of God's plan, then you're living plan B, plan C, plan D.
- 53:16And I, and I had to kind of unlearn that to realize that no,
- 53:19I, you know, I can, I can get back in
- 53:23it, you know. I can be in, you know, I can co-create with Christ.
- 53:26I can manifest God's will in my life, and I can live that. And so
- 53:30I think maybe, um, maybe that's sort of where my question's coming from.
- 53:33Like, if, if we get out of alignment— ah, that's the
- 53:37question— is getting out of God's will the same as getting out of alignment?
- 53:41Yes. So the second question, I would say yes. Yeah,
- 53:45I think that's what unalignment is, right? And I think it goes back to like
- 53:48It's like, because we say God's will,
- 53:52then it's all of a sudden we create— we can create separation,
- 53:56right? And then we're like, well, what if I don't want God's will? And that's
- 54:00the ego speaking. And it's like, no, you do. Like, that's the point
- 54:04of God's will. Like, it is the infinite intelligence. It knows
- 54:08fully what's best. And when you're— it's your guiding force to
- 54:11help you get to the version and train transcend to the
- 54:16version that you truly want, like what your soul's desire
- 54:20truly wants, right? And I think like, I, I believe that's,
- 54:23that, that's for everyone. I don't— that's not like a religion thing.
- 54:26I think that's, yeah, purpose of life, right? And when you're in that alignment,
- 54:30and it goes back to like so many different religions
- 54:34and so many different ideologies talk about like aligning, and, and it's like
- 54:38everyone has their little spin on the— it's the same
- 54:42same. At the end of the day, the core is the same. It's alignment with
- 54:45the higher intelligence, with God, with the all-knowing, for what's best
- 54:49for you, and for you to live out that expression in your
- 54:53own individual way, in your highest and best purpose, to live
- 54:57a life of the most joy, the most peace, and in
- 55:01alignment with your soul's desire. Well said. And I'm so glad that you said that
- 55:05because that prompted me to bring that up. Even in real time, were like,
- 55:08oh wow, he just tapped into some of his like religious trauma,
- 55:11you know? Because I'm just like, oh, I hate that term. But yeah, but when
- 55:15you look at it, it's just a different terminology. It's like we said earlier,
- 55:19it's living in alignment. And who doesn't want to live in alignment? It's basically,
- 55:23do you want to be at peace and enlightened and happy?
- 55:27And when you ask it like that, the ego goes out and it's
- 55:30like, well, of course I do, because that's what I truly want. You know,
- 55:33100%. I think that— I think that's so good. And I, I love
- 55:38this conversation because I love, you know, just you having that
- 55:42awareness in and out of itself. And I— that was an awareness that I've
- 55:46had like through other people, right? Where like I— like I've
- 55:50had clients say like, I just don't like the word God. And like that for
- 55:53me is just such an awareness, right? So like the word God
- 55:57is not inherently good or bad. It's revealing something inside of you.
- 56:01It's your reaction to it. So for me, right,
- 56:04and this is where I embody it, where like before I would want to teach
- 56:07and be like, okay, no, we got to change that because there's something that you
- 56:11need. And it's like, no, I just take that, right? Like I'll let them be.
- 56:15But then I also know for me and how I live, I, I will never
- 56:19let a, a word, right, trigger some sort of negative
- 56:24response. Because that's just— it's just
- 56:27a word. So how am I going to let that word— it's,
- 56:30it's only if I have a negative response, it's only showing me that there's
- 56:34negativity in there that gets to be transcended.
- 56:38So that word then isn't triggering anymore, because for somebody else,
- 56:41that word could be like so uplifting, right? Absolutely.
- 56:46That's, that's huge. Okay, so as we wrap it up, I have a quick
- 56:50lightning down for you, Chachi. And, uh, and then I'll pose my,
- 56:54my closing question. But quick lightning round. Um, first appropriate
- 56:58thing that comes to your mind. Um, so good clarification. Good clarification.
- 57:05I was gonna say the hard way hosting a podcast. Yeah, I was
- 57:09gonna go with Happy Pockets Full of Money, uh, but I'm only halfway through
- 57:14it, uh, and I'm reading it right now, so I just think it's top of
- 57:17mind. Thoroughly enjoying it, but I don't think that can be my
- 57:20pick since I haven't finished it. Um, so I, I will go with,
- 57:25um, Psycho-Cybernetics. That was, that was
- 57:29a favorite of mine for sure. It was, it was up there.
- 57:32Awesome, awesome. What is your favorite food?
- 57:36I will go with, uh, pizza. I'm Italian.
- 57:39I like buffalo chicken pizza, although I am gluten-free.
- 57:42So that has taken a big hit towards the level of pizza
- 57:47that I, that I'm able to have. Luckily nowadays there's great options though,
- 57:51and I'm still a sucker for it. Yeah, awesome.
- 57:54So I know anyone that watches this, a lot more people watch the
- 57:58YouTube version of this than just listen to it, and that's because they get to
- 58:02see my dog lounging in the background. And you have a dog named Cassie.
- 58:05What type of dog is Cassie? Yeah, so it's actually
- 58:08Kari. Uh, the only— sorry, no, you're good.
- 58:12The only reason why I'm correcting you is because she's in the room and she's
- 58:15a little sensitive. Uh, she is, she is a,
- 58:19a golden English golden retriever. Um, so if I
- 58:23didn't have this fake, uh, virtual background behind me right now, you would
- 58:26see her lounging, uh, lounging on the ground there. It looks
- 58:31very real. The background looks good. And then, uh,
- 58:34last of the, uh, of the rapid-fire questions: have
- 58:38you ever gone viral for twerking in
- 58:42Nashville? Uh, thinking back,
- 58:45yeah, I think there was this one time that I, uh, I may or may
- 58:49not have twerked on the sidewalk of Broadway in
- 58:54Nashville for a Bachelorette tour bus party, and it may
- 58:57or may not have achieved over 10 million views
- 59:01total on social media platforms. So yeah, that, that checks out.
- 59:04That checks out. Speaking of true, true authentic, uh,
- 59:08authentic, right? Like I was stepping into my authenticity and it was magnetic.
- 59:13You were twerking into your authenticity. Yeah, I'm still
- 59:16trying to figure out how to, you know, mesh the twerking with the mindset
- 59:20coaching, and then we're really cooking with fire. I haven't figured it out yet.
- 59:24We'll get there. We'll get That's amazing. That's amazing.
- 59:28So, um, so if people— so yeah,
- 59:32if people like Google Chachi Horgan Nashville
- 59:37booty dance, is that how— like, how will they find that video? Yeah, I,
- 59:41I don't even honestly— I, I think that I've deleted TikTok
- 59:46since. I think the TikTok handle was Chach in the Car,
- 59:49and I was like posting. I started doing like car karaoke videos.
- 59:53I think I, like, I created the account, I posted in the same day
- 59:58like 3 car karaoke videos and that dancing video. Oh wow,
- 1:00:02same day, like first day. Took off and just took off.
- 1:00:06And it was— I didn't even know at the time it was being filmed.
- 1:00:09My buddy just like saw it. He knew I was, I was walking out there,
- 1:00:12he knew I was gonna start dancing. He pulled out his phone and started filming.
- 1:00:16And yeah, it blew up. That is amazing. Amazing, man. So here's
- 1:00:20the final question for today. What, um, what is
- 1:00:24one thing about purpose that you think most
- 1:00:27people are missing? I would say the biggest thing with purpose that people
- 1:00:32are missing is— and I felt, uh, victim to this
- 1:00:35as well— is they're trying to find it. They're searching for
- 1:00:40it. They think it's something that's outside of them, but it's
- 1:00:44within. And, and you know what your purpose is. Now, there may be
- 1:00:47things in the way, but you know. Absolutely. You do not create
- 1:00:52your purpose, you awaken to it. And yeah, you don't,
- 1:00:56you don't have to find it. It's not outside of you. That is, that's amazing.
- 1:01:00Um, so Chachi, if someone's listening today, they want to connect with you,
- 1:01:04what social media, what's the best way to, uh, to follow you,
- 1:01:08connect with you, Chachi? Yeah, definitely not the Chachi in the car TikTok.
- 1:01:12Like I said, I deleted that. I can't believe it.
- 1:01:16Well, the video is still up, I just don't have the app, so, uh,
- 1:01:19you can go check that out. Um, Instagram,
- 1:01:22chachi.horgan, uh, simple. You can find me there.
- 1:01:26Um, also, I, I work with the Venus Consulting, uh,
- 1:01:29so Adam of Venus's Instagram is just his name as well, Adam of
- 1:01:33Venus. Great content on there too. Um, especially if you're newer to
- 1:01:37this material and you want to get a feel for that, feel free to,
- 1:01:40you know, check that out. Um, but yeah, I would say to reach out,
- 1:01:43DM, and, uh, happy to, uh, to chat,
- 1:01:46talk more, connect. Absolutely. And I'll put,
- 1:01:49I'll put all that in the show notes as well, Chachi. And just
- 1:01:53thank you so much for being here. Thank you for sharing so much, for being
- 1:01:57so authentic. It was every bit of the conversation I
- 1:02:00hoped it would be. So I'm so thankful you were here, Chachi. Yeah, very appreciative
- 1:02:05of the invite. And like I said, truly a full circle moment. And I'm excited
- 1:02:09for, you know, our friendship and our future conversations and
- 1:02:13seeing you again. So much appreciative. That sounds great.
