- 1:19Speaker 5: I'm like, what are we doing today? It's very fun.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Who is she gonna have on tonight?
- 1:24Speaker 4: Well?
- 1:25Speaker 5: Jonas is a club guy.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I am a nightclub guy.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Nightclub guy, and he's a producer guy.
- 1:32Speaker 4: He's a producer.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I presume New York as well.
- 1:37Speaker 6: Actually, no DC, but been here long enough that I
- 1:40Speaker 6: feel if.
- 1:41Speaker 5: You've been over here for ten years, you're in New
- 1:43Speaker 5: York all right. I haven't been here ten years.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Can't say that yet.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Close?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, so will you with it? Will you ever
- 1:48Speaker 5: go dated in New Yorker? Dated a New Yorker?
- 1:52Speaker 4: No?
- 1:53Speaker 5: I have really? Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 6: I get all of these imports, and I'm like, where
- 1:57Speaker 6: is guys from?
- 1:58Speaker 5: Is that I got to say you're in New York
- 2:00Speaker 5: by injection then?
- 2:01Speaker 4: But I can say.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I'm Italian by injections?
- 2:04Speaker 4: What's going on? I love this podcast already. It's like
- 2:11Speaker 4: throwing me off. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, I get it now.
- 2:16Speaker 7: Okay, I didn't know what I was talking to, but
- 2:19Speaker 7: I love this fantastic Hello, hell.
- 2:24Speaker 4: My god, a little like this one.
- 2:27Speaker 3: With this little yeah, a little suggestive, right right, So
- 2:34Speaker 3: tell us I want to know about the New York nightlife.
- 2:37Speaker 7: Now, sure, let's talk about it. It's different, Okay, it's
- 2:41Speaker 7: totally different. I'm what I call like, I'm kind of
- 2:44Speaker 7: caught in the middle.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You are like and your beginning millennial and gen.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Zer correct correct, correct, correct, So it's gen Z. I
- 2:56Speaker 4: don't want to pull you, Okay.
- 2:59Speaker 7: I wonder when they're, you know, in their forties and fifties,
- 3:02Speaker 7: what those kids are gonna what their world's going.
- 3:04Speaker 1: To be like.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm going to put it this way. I've
- 3:08Speaker 4: watched some other podcasts.
- 3:09Speaker 7: You talk to some DJs and some musicians, and most
- 3:13Speaker 7: recently you had somebody talk about music and how stuff
- 3:16Speaker 7: doesn't really last or have the shelf life that it
- 3:18Speaker 7: used to. And I look at like a gen Z
- 3:21Speaker 7: kid right now, that's you know, between fifteen and twenty five,
- 3:24Speaker 7: right when they're fifty, when they're sixty, when they're seventy,
- 3:30Speaker 7: when they have their anniversary parties with their friends, what's
- 3:33Speaker 7: the music going to sound like? What is a kid
- 3:36Speaker 7: that's twenty years old now when he's fifty years old
- 3:38Speaker 7: or she's sixty years old. What are they going to
- 3:40Speaker 7: play at that party?
- 3:42Speaker 3: I feel like they're going to play gen X's music, correct,
- 3:45Speaker 3: because that's what they're listening to.
- 3:46Speaker 4: The lasting music.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Yes, it kind of stopped, like i'd say, right when
- 3:51Speaker 7: you stop selling CDs, When you stop selling a physical
- 3:55Speaker 7: format that you could purchase, you'd have to spend your
- 3:57Speaker 7: hard earned money to buy it.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Once you just went to streaming. It's like it's disposable.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Well, you don't own it anymore.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Correct. And when you don't own something doesn't have value.
- 4:07Speaker 5: No, it doesn't. It's disposable, like you said.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Correct. And it's the same thing with movies.
- 4:11Speaker 7: So going into night life, I've been, you know, doing
- 4:14Speaker 7: this pretty much my entire adult life. I didn't think
- 4:21Speaker 7: I was gonna ever end up in the nightlt business.
- 4:22Speaker 7: My family's been in the restaurant business forever. My grandparents
- 4:25Speaker 7: are in the restaurant business. When they on, my father said,
- 4:27Speaker 7: when they came over from Italy, they were in the
- 4:31Speaker 7: delicatessen business.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Grew up well, not usually Germans are Well they started it.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, they owned like a little grocery store deli
- 4:40Speaker 7: right here in Midtown East where we are now, and
- 4:44Speaker 7: then they ended up opening a place called the Lakehouse
- 4:46Speaker 7: in Roan Kankama in Long Island. And then my father
- 4:49Speaker 7: opened a place. My grandfather opened a place. So I've
- 4:51Speaker 7: always been around restaurants. And then when I left college
- 4:57Speaker 7: the first time I left college three times, I just
- 4:59Speaker 7: loved leaving and going back. It was a great time.
- 5:03Speaker 7: My parents wanted to kill me. They were like, what
- 5:05Speaker 7: are you doing? But I started MODELI I'm model with
- 5:07Speaker 7: the Ford Modeling Agency. And this is about twenty oh,
- 5:12Speaker 7: my god, twenty two, twenty years ago, twenty three years.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Ago now, so early two thousand, yes, correct.
- 5:17Speaker 7: Two thousand and three. Two thousand and four was when
- 5:19Speaker 7: I got into this. And I was never a club guy.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Was like a nerdy athlete, if that makes any sense. Yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 7: I played sports, but I also played computer games. Weird
- 5:28Speaker 7: combo but whatever. I signed to Ford and I started
- 5:32Speaker 7: going out, and I remember the.
- 5:33Speaker 4: First club I went to was in two thousand and four.
- 5:36Speaker 7: It was called Pangaea, and it was on Lafayette Street,
- 5:41Speaker 7: which is a beautiful block in Lower Manhattan. It goes
- 5:43Speaker 7: one way uptown, right below Saint Mark's Place. And I
- 5:46Speaker 7: walk into this club. I'm nineteen years old, and I
- 5:49Speaker 7: have another male models idea that he gave me, but
- 5:52Speaker 7: it wasn't his idea. It was an idea that belonged
- 5:54Speaker 7: to somebody else who actually was in a Mandy Moore movie.
- 5:57Speaker 7: I can't give the guy's name away because I'll get
- 5:59Speaker 7: in trouble. But anyway, I had this guy's ida and
- 6:02Speaker 7: I looked exactly like this dude.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And I got into the club.
- 6:05Speaker 5: And it wasn't Ethan Hawk, and it wasn't.
- 6:08Speaker 4: There was another one.
- 6:09Speaker 7: It was another one of the classic, you know, handsome
- 6:13Speaker 7: white guys. So I go into the club and they're like, Oh,
- 6:16Speaker 7: how you doing, And I'm like, this is beautiful, this
- 6:18Speaker 7: is amazing. The music was great, but you know what
- 6:20Speaker 7: the music was. It was all eighties and nineties. There's
- 6:23Speaker 7: some disco and then yeah, there's some contemporary stuff, but
- 6:25Speaker 7: it was all mixed together.
- 6:27Speaker 4: And I guess the people now that.
- 6:30Speaker 7: Are sixties in the sixties were in their forties then,
- 6:34Speaker 7: and the people now they're in fifties. We're in their
- 6:36Speaker 7: thirties then, and I was barely in my twenties and
- 6:40Speaker 7: it was awesome, and I was like, this is the
- 6:42Speaker 7: greatest mix smash of people ever there was an exclusivity
- 6:45Speaker 7: level to get into the club. You had to get
- 6:47Speaker 7: to that as a door person. You had to have
- 6:48Speaker 7: some personality, you had to have some look. And I've
- 6:51Speaker 7: been doing this for a long time. So after I
- 6:53Speaker 7: got through all this stuff and I finished college the
- 6:56Speaker 7: third time from soon he purchase.
- 7:00Speaker 6: You're on the third tour now.
- 7:01Speaker 7: Exactly exactly when I got out of school the third
- 7:04Speaker 7: time and I started doing the night life kind of
- 7:06Speaker 7: full time. Go things have changed and it's now more
- 7:13Speaker 7: about what happens on social media before you go to
- 7:18Speaker 7: the club, before you go to the experience, you already
- 7:21Speaker 7: kind of know what's going to go on. And it's
- 7:24Speaker 7: changed the dynamic a lot, and I think it's made
- 7:28Speaker 7: it a little less exciting, a little less fun, oh yeah, definitely,
- 7:32Speaker 7: and a little less intriguing. So I wish that we
- 7:37Speaker 7: could go back in time that you could actually have
- 7:41Speaker 7: to get involved and know people and talk to people.
- 7:44Speaker 7: But I always think about, Okay, we are where we are,
- 7:51Speaker 7: this is the world we live in.
- 7:52Speaker 4: How do we make it.
- 7:54Speaker 7: Better or how do we adjust it so people can
- 7:57Speaker 7: interact with people again, and we're not just going to
- 8:00Speaker 7: be replaced. And I watched the sixty minutes yesterday about
- 8:02Speaker 7: the AI placing entry level white collar jobs, never mind
- 8:07Speaker 7: the you know, working jobs, but forget it. We have
- 8:10Speaker 7: to combat this because in the next five, ten, fifteen years,
- 8:13Speaker 7: it's gonna be freaking horrible. I mean, I don't know this.
- 8:18Speaker 7: This is a big, in depth conversation. And you asked
- 8:20Speaker 7: me about about nightlife. I think nightlife is kind of
- 8:24Speaker 7: like just a microcosm of the whole spectrum of where
- 8:28Speaker 7: the world's going. Yeah, right, I agree, because the way
- 8:32Speaker 7: human beings interact with each other, correct, the way they
- 8:35Speaker 7: meet each other, the way they start relationships with each other,
- 8:38Speaker 7: the way they have sex with each other, the way
- 8:40Speaker 7: they get date and marry.
- 8:42Speaker 4: That's really everything.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Yes, it's true, and everything has changed.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And it's changing rapidly, faster than ever.
- 8:51Speaker 5: It's very scary.
- 8:52Speaker 7: It is because once things kind of like I told you, once,
- 8:56Speaker 7: CDs stopped happening and everything went onto the internet, and
- 9:00Speaker 7: everything went on social media.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Even this podcast. It's like, how do you advertise this podcast?
- 9:04Speaker 7: Used to if you if you were popular and you're
- 9:06Speaker 7: you're a popular woman, and you're both beautiful and and
- 9:09Speaker 7: speak to people, and you have a lot of friends
- 9:12Speaker 7: but once it goes to oh, now, it's up to
- 9:15Speaker 7: the Internet to decide. And and the Internet is decided
- 9:18Speaker 7: by what either pure luck or advertising advertising. So if
- 9:22Speaker 7: you don't have the money to burn through ads, if
- 9:25Speaker 7: someone gave you a million dollars right and said we're
- 9:27Speaker 7: going to advertise your podcast, I guarantee you'd be in
- 9:29Speaker 7: the top five podcast instantly. Does that mean you're a
- 9:33Speaker 7: better podcast as somebody? No, But anybody that thinks that
- 9:37Speaker 7: the music they're hearing, the movies they're watching.
- 9:39Speaker 4: The podcast, it is bullshit. It's paid a point.
- 9:42Speaker 7: I think that our conversation right now is probably more
- 9:45Speaker 7: interesting than any other fucking conversation.
- 9:46Speaker 4: My language, I do that.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Want good And that's why it's interesting because we're being real.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not as a script here. You and
- 9:55Speaker 4: I just true.
- 9:58Speaker 7: So what I'm saying is like, if you could burn
- 10:03Speaker 7: the fuel to get the heat on this podcast where
- 10:06Speaker 7: eyes are watching, everyone's like.
- 10:08Speaker 4: This is great.
- 10:08Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely, but and and and look, there's always been
- 10:12Speaker 7: medium manipulation.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Forever, forever.
- 10:14Speaker 7: But but the cream rose to the top way more
- 10:18Speaker 7: than it does now.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yes, that's true.
- 10:20Speaker 7: And and there's so many people that can create a
- 10:23Speaker 7: podcast or create a song and put it out there,
- 10:26Speaker 7: and YouTube and so many ways. Everyone's everyone's a superstar. Yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 7: everybody's except in sports, right, because sports, if you're six
- 10:35Speaker 7: ft seven, you could throw a basketball into a hoop.
- 10:37Speaker 5: That's the only thing. You can't fake it.
- 10:40Speaker 4: You can't fake it in performance and mod only.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I think is going back to the old days too,
- 10:44Speaker 3: because I think people are realizing and I don't want
- 10:46Speaker 3: to sound unpolitically correct you, I don't want to see fat.
- 10:49Speaker 5: People on sports illustrated. I'm sorry. I don't not saying fat.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Wait I should say I don't want because I feel
- 10:58Speaker 3: like it's just nobody wants to see that, and you
- 11:02Speaker 3: don't want to promote that either.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I don't want to see that.
- 11:04Speaker 7: I think they went from a standard of beauty that
- 11:06Speaker 7: existed since the beginning of time. But it's okay, it
- 11:08Speaker 7: is okay, But but look models, right, says Zoolander.
- 11:14Speaker 4: The shapeless both.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Okay, but models looked a certain way because human beings,
- 11:22Speaker 7: we're attracted to certain things.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yes, that's true.
- 11:24Speaker 7: Men are attracted to round, shapely women are attracted to
- 11:30Speaker 7: sharp curves, you know, like chins and eyebrows and prominent features.
- 11:36Speaker 7: That's just our in our anatomy, that's just just the
- 11:39Speaker 7: way we are built.
- 11:40Speaker 4: And I think that we went.
- 11:42Speaker 5: We went total opposite.
- 11:43Speaker 4: But you know what, also we went too far.
- 11:45Speaker 3: But also not everybody could be a model, like of course,
- 11:49Speaker 3: that's the problem.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Is not everybody can.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Be an actor. Not everyone can be a musician, everyone
- 11:53Speaker 4: could be an athlete.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And that started in my generation, by the way we
- 11:55Speaker 3: mister Rogers when he used to say, you could be
- 11:58Speaker 3: whatever you.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Want to be.
- 12:00Speaker 3: But that but I watched, but you can't correct, you can't.
- 12:04Speaker 3: And that's where the problem comes. And I shouldn't say
- 12:07Speaker 3: I don't want to see I mean, that was probably
- 12:09Speaker 3: very bold statement that I said. The point is is
- 12:11Speaker 3: that the editing guy here, don't put that in. Maybe
- 12:16Speaker 3: I'm not when you can. Not everybody was born to
- 12:18Speaker 3: be a model. Not everybody was born to be a singer.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Of course I was born to be an actor.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Not everybody could be a doctor.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yes, you can go through medical school, but I don't
- 12:27Speaker 3: want the doctor that got, you know, just passed by
- 12:30Speaker 3: this candidate.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Teacher.
- 12:31Speaker 7: They kill the guy that finishes in the last in
- 12:34Speaker 7: his law school and he passes the bar.
- 12:37Speaker 4: A lawyer.
- 12:38Speaker 7: So if you finish one hundred law but doesn't mean
- 12:41Speaker 7: you're gonna be a good lawyer exactly. So the fact
- 12:43Speaker 7: of the matter is you're one hundred percent correct.
- 12:46Speaker 4: We've given this.
- 12:47Speaker 7: Kind of everyone gets a trophy thing and it's killed killed, killed,
- 12:51Speaker 7: killed the world.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I don't know when it happened, because it's not.
- 12:53Speaker 5: You started in that with mister Rodgers. Everybody could be that.
- 12:57Speaker 3: And then I know it started. It started when my
- 13:01Speaker 3: kids were kids. It started around that time, probably in
- 13:03Speaker 3: the early two thousands.
- 13:04Speaker 4: That really started because I grew up in the eighties
- 13:07Speaker 4: and nineties. That when my genre.
- 13:09Speaker 5: I should know, but I'm saying because I have kids
- 13:11Speaker 5: that I started.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Wow, okay, and.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I started seeing oh everybody, no, nobody gets and everybody
- 13:16Speaker 3: should get a troll face.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Well, you're not. You're not training anyone for real life.
- 13:19Speaker 5: No, you trained people to be mediocre.
- 13:21Speaker 3: That's what you're training them for, not to strive for excellence.
- 13:25Speaker 5: That that's what the problem is.
- 13:27Speaker 7: It also creates this dynamic of everyone thinks they deserve everything, yes,
- 13:31Speaker 7: without having.
- 13:31Speaker 4: To work for it, exactly.
- 13:32Speaker 7: And once again I'm caught in the middle here, and
- 13:35Speaker 7: it's a very weird place for me to be and
- 13:37Speaker 7: people in my age range because we didn't have the
- 13:40Speaker 7: opportunities where you could buy a house in Harlem for
- 13:43Speaker 7: a dollar right, right, But we also don't have this
- 13:45Speaker 7: kind of like let's just trade crypto and just like
- 13:48Speaker 7: fuck around.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Oh my god, what the hell's happening?
- 13:51Speaker 7: And my generation in about ten to fifteen years is
- 13:54Speaker 7: about to take over the world, you know, in terms
- 13:57Speaker 7: of political structure. Like Jadvance is forty years old, it's
- 14:00Speaker 7: my age exactly. So it's going to be very interesting
- 14:04Speaker 7: to see what happens. I'm not sure what's going to
- 14:07Speaker 7: go down. It's going to be really really weird. And
- 14:10Speaker 7: like I said, this rise of AI and automation, uh,
- 14:15Speaker 7: cars without drivers like that freaks me out.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean too.
- 14:19Speaker 6: I just got driven in a WAYMO in Austin. Wait
- 14:21Speaker 6: really yeah, what was that?
- 14:23Speaker 1: Like?
- 14:23Speaker 6: Well, I was coming home from the from the bar
- 14:26Speaker 6: and they we ordered an uber, but a Weymo pulled up.
- 14:29Speaker 5: There was no driver.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Yeah, a driverless car or a car a car a
- 14:33Speaker 6: driveless slur car.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Were you pass the car without a driver? Well?
- 14:38Speaker 6: Actually I had gotten into the back seat and I
- 14:41Speaker 6: was like, all right, we're going to and I realized
- 14:42Speaker 6: there's nobody in the in the front seat, and I'm like, guys,
- 14:45Speaker 6: this I had never been in a Waimo before, but
- 14:46Speaker 6: apparently this is like a newer thing in some of
- 14:48Speaker 6: the newer developing cities like.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Austin's already developed.
- 14:50Speaker 6: But I'm talking about you know, it's not as populated
- 14:53Speaker 6: as New York. I don't think that could a way
- 14:55Speaker 6: moos could necessarily work in New York City.
- 14:58Speaker 7: People somebody, like a drunk guy jumps on the hood
- 15:02Speaker 7: of the car.
- 15:04Speaker 4: What's happening there? That's where you need the drivers like,
- 15:06Speaker 4: get the fuck hood of.
- 15:07Speaker 5: The cart e rrectly exactly.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I think it depends on the environment, the environment that
- 15:13Speaker 3: you could put it in.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Definitely, was it creepy getting it, because I would absolutely
- 15:17Speaker 5: I didn't want to be in that car.
- 15:18Speaker 6: But I'm thinking, all right, well, you know it's it's
- 15:21Speaker 6: it's three in the morning.
- 15:22Speaker 5: We're not going that far.
- 15:23Speaker 6: We're maybe going two miles down the road, and it's
- 15:24Speaker 6: just you're on one main quiet road.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We're barely any drivers. Thank you, they say, like that.
- 15:29Speaker 6: Somebody, so there is an automated person in the car,
- 15:32Speaker 6: like you're talking to a real person, but they're talking
- 15:33Speaker 6: to the speakers, so they're like, all right, exit the car,
- 15:35Speaker 6: you guys, did it safely, and now close the doors,
- 15:38Speaker 6: and they tell you. I actually don't know because I
- 15:41Speaker 6: wasn't the one who ordered it, but because.
- 15:43Speaker 7: My old director of operations went to a restaurant in midtown.
- 15:48Speaker 7: He said, there's one human that you interact with that
- 15:50Speaker 7: seats you, and then this robot comes out and opens up,
- 15:54Speaker 7: and then you get the food from that and it's
- 15:57Speaker 7: on a conveyor belt from the kitchen. So there's obviously
- 15:59Speaker 7: people cooking, but you're served by robots. And he said,
- 16:02Speaker 7: at the end of the thing, the robot came out
- 16:04Speaker 7: and said gratuity. And he goes, who the fuck am
- 16:06Speaker 7: I tipping?
- 16:07Speaker 4: Who the am I tipping?
- 16:09Speaker 7: Who is getting this money? And I'm like, that is crazy,
- 16:11Speaker 7: So who's who are you tipping? On the waymow And
- 16:13Speaker 7: I guarantee they're asking for gratuity? Oh absolutely, I'm sure
- 16:16Speaker 7: completely insane.
- 16:18Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 16:19Speaker 3: But do you know, do you notice that movies always
- 16:21Speaker 3: prepare us for it? I mean that was in that
- 16:25Speaker 3: was in uh the anstwotzen Hagen movie. It was when
- 16:30Speaker 3: they went to mos what was that movie? And he
- 16:32Speaker 3: had the taxis.
- 16:33Speaker 5: With nobody with no no, no real drivers. It was
- 16:36Speaker 5: a robot driving well, I.
- 16:37Speaker 7: Mean there was that horrible Will Smith's movie was Robot.
- 16:40Speaker 7: I robot but like that that's exactly.
- 16:43Speaker 5: What the robot robots exactly like.
- 16:46Speaker 4: And by the way I test, it's cool.
- 16:48Speaker 7: I mean like I like the technology, but it gets
- 16:50Speaker 7: to a certain point where it's just like, what are
- 16:52Speaker 7: we doing?
- 16:53Speaker 5: But he even says it elon.
- 16:54Speaker 3: He says that he doesn't like that it wants doesn't
- 16:56Speaker 3: want AI to become of.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Course he does one of the people that have developed AI.
- 17:01Speaker 7: You don't have the safety guards on this crap that
- 17:05Speaker 7: we know what the hell is going on? But you're
- 17:10Speaker 7: not wrong, not wrong When you and a few years
- 17:13Speaker 7: from now have a robot in your house doing your
- 17:15Speaker 7: chores and cooking for you, who.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Knows what's going to happen? Who knows what they and
- 17:20Speaker 4: I don't. I don't love this.
- 17:21Speaker 7: No, I don't want someone watching my grandmother. That's you know,
- 17:24Speaker 7: like or something watching my grandmother.
- 17:26Speaker 5: It's not it's not a human being. It doesn't.
- 17:28Speaker 7: Human beings are completely insane, but like human beings programming
- 17:33Speaker 7: something that is soulless, and there's always something going on
- 17:40Speaker 7: behind the scenes, the ghost in the machine, so to speak. Yes,
- 17:43Speaker 7: you don't know. That's a great police reference, right, but yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 7: I mean, listen, the world's changing. I want to make
- 17:55Speaker 7: the best of it. I want to see what we
- 17:58Speaker 7: can do to bring human interaction back to the forefront.
- 18:04Speaker 7: I'm on my phone out of necessity. My girl wants
- 18:09Speaker 7: to murder.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Me because she's like, get off the screens.
- 18:12Speaker 7: Get off the screens, because I'm watching the game while
- 18:15Speaker 7: I'm texting, while I'm doing something else on the iPad.
- 18:19Speaker 7: But that's just how people interact. And if you don't
- 18:22Speaker 7: in my business, if you don't interact with people all
- 18:25Speaker 7: the time, they're gonna go to the next person. Yes,
- 18:27Speaker 7: I'm gonna quote my buddy Andrew Goldberg, who was formerly
- 18:31Speaker 7: a tow group. He told me once, if you don't respond,
- 18:36Speaker 7: somebody else will. That's Andrew would answer. Text it three
- 18:40Speaker 7: thirty in the morning. He is two kids. I believe
- 18:42Speaker 7: he has two kids. Wife, You text me at three
- 18:44Speaker 7: in the morning, Hey, I got a guy. He's gonna
- 18:46Speaker 7: go in and he's gonna spend money at Lavo. Now
- 18:49Speaker 7: it's closed, but he'd answer. I'm like, how the hell
- 18:52Speaker 7: does this guy answer all the time? I'd be seven
- 18:55Speaker 7: in the morning and I'd be somewhere else. He'd be
- 18:58Speaker 7: in Palm Beach. He'd text all responding correct. I'm like,
- 19:01Speaker 7: this guy is a sleep as a machine. But that's
- 19:02Speaker 7: why he used the best in the business, because he
- 19:05Speaker 7: was a constant communicator.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I wake up.
- 19:08Speaker 7: I have one hundred and twenty DMS. I'm not posting
- 19:10Speaker 7: thirst traps. I don't have any bikini pictures. We'll get
- 19:13Speaker 7: to that in a second too. But the fact of
- 19:15Speaker 7: the matter is people one hundred and twenty dms. I
- 19:17Speaker 7: don't care who it is. I respond even to people
- 19:20Speaker 7: that hate me. They're like, go fuck yourself, buddy. I'm like, yeah, cool,
- 19:23Speaker 7: thumbs up, you.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Know what I mean.
- 19:25Speaker 7: And I'm like, I get a lot of that, but
- 19:27Speaker 7: I'm responding. But I'm respect because I don't know.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 19:30Speaker 7: Maybe that drives my engagement and somebody else sees me,
- 19:33Speaker 7: and then somebody else sees this. And I'm not a
- 19:35Speaker 7: full time influencer by any means. I do this because
- 19:38Speaker 7: I enjoy, like whatever. But staying on top, I got
- 19:42Speaker 7: five hundred and seventy five birthday messages. I didn't even
- 19:45Speaker 7: go through my Facebook messages yet because Facebook's people that
- 19:48Speaker 7: are a little bit older. Yeah, those are probably the
- 19:50Speaker 7: most important people to answer. I haven't even done that because.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Those people will still talk to you and we're like correct,
- 19:55Speaker 3: those people will call me correct.
- 19:58Speaker 7: So the DMS is one thing, but there's just so
- 20:01Speaker 7: many ways of communicating, and it gets it gets crazy.
- 20:04Speaker 6: We're accessible at all times, which I struggle with.
- 20:08Speaker 5: It's a good thing, of it's a bad thing.
- 20:09Speaker 4: It's also a bad thing.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Yeah, my my, my bosses that have the most success
- 20:15Speaker 7: will go off the grid for day or two at
- 20:17Speaker 7: a time. I would have a panic attack if I
- 20:20Speaker 7: don't answer my messages.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Are they Yes, that's why.
- 20:23Speaker 7: But they also are established to the point where they
- 20:26Speaker 7: don't give a ship where I'm still like, I'm still
- 20:29Speaker 7: I always I have a chip on my shoulder. I'm
- 20:31Speaker 7: always trying to prove myself. I always got to be responsive.
- 20:33Speaker 7: I always can answer, and I actously don't want to
- 20:34Speaker 7: miss that message. I could lead to a few thousand
- 20:37Speaker 7: dollars even or a birthday party or a table and
- 20:39Speaker 7: I make a commission and somebody else makes money. You know,
- 20:42Speaker 7: but that is a constant stress. If I play golf
- 20:45Speaker 7: for four hours and I don't use my phone, I
- 20:47Speaker 7: have a panic Atteck when I.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Come I have phone.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Well, when I'm away from my business too, I have
- 20:51Speaker 3: It's tough, it's very it's it's like I'm on vacation
- 20:54Speaker 3: and it takes me two days to ease into vacation.
- 20:57Speaker 3: And then by the time i'm i'm easy alcohol, I
- 21:01Speaker 3: have to leave. I'm like, and then I want to
- 21:03Speaker 3: leave because I have.
- 21:04Speaker 5: To get home.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Now.
- 21:05Speaker 5: I'm like, oh my god, I've been going for this long.
- 21:06Speaker 5: I gotta go home.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Like you know, I got stuck in Florida during the
- 21:11Speaker 3: snowstorm and I can't tell you, and I knew that
- 21:13Speaker 3: nobody was working because it was a snowstorm.
- 21:15Speaker 5: I still wanted to come home. I still wanted to
- 21:18Speaker 5: come home because I.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Was frightened that I want to be home when when
- 21:23Speaker 3: the door's open again, you know, meanwhile, everybody's piled on
- 21:26Speaker 3: the snow.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Like no one's really going out, like always going out.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Right now, nobody can even get into my office because
- 21:34Speaker 3: you know, New York City did not shovel to get
- 21:37Speaker 3: us out. They have mountains of snow, but I still
- 21:40Speaker 3: had to get home. I was still like, I gotta go,
- 21:43Speaker 3: I gotta get out of here.
- 21:44Speaker 7: I think there's always been some level of that, but
- 21:46Speaker 7: now it's more extreme because of the fact that we
- 21:49Speaker 7: have instant communication. Yes, I don't think human beings would
- 21:51Speaker 7: developed to have this.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I think that it's carousing people anxiety a lot more
- 21:56Speaker 3: anxiety now.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you know.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Also back to night life, and I want talked about
- 22:02Speaker 7: this with you guys, dating, with meeting people.
- 22:06Speaker 5: What do you think the night life has changed?
- 22:08Speaker 4: Well, that's it, right.
- 22:10Speaker 7: You used to have to be able to go out
- 22:12Speaker 7: and have accountability. We talked about that word before we
- 22:16Speaker 7: went on the air. Here, you'd ask somebody out on
- 22:19Speaker 7: the date, you tell them to meet me someplace. Once
- 22:21Speaker 7: you left the house, it's game off, Like you can't
- 22:23Speaker 7: get in touch with that person.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Until you get to the location. And if you're not at.
- 22:27Speaker 4: The location, you're an asshole. You didn't show up.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Oh fuck that guy or fuck that girl. She's never
- 22:31Speaker 7: gonna blew me off.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:33Speaker 3: One thing you could do is call from a payphone
- 22:35Speaker 3: and leave a message on their answering me at their
- 22:37Speaker 3: home if they had one, even have one.
- 22:41Speaker 4: This is a whole thing.
- 22:42Speaker 7: It's like my parents had to meet each other and
- 22:44Speaker 7: they had to be there at the time. They said,
- 22:46Speaker 7: if you were going to meet your girlfriends to go
- 22:47Speaker 7: out to a club, you'd meet somewhere. Now it's like
- 22:50Speaker 7: you DM if you don't have phone service, Oh my god,
- 22:53Speaker 7: it's the end of the world. So that's changed the
- 22:56Speaker 7: way people interact tremendously and the way the.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Nightclubs and the world works in John.
- 23:00Speaker 7: But something that you know is really crazy is the
- 23:05Speaker 7: way you know, women and men meet in terms of
- 23:09Speaker 7: the dating apps.
- 23:10Speaker 4: But you're using social media.
- 23:11Speaker 7: If you're an attractive woman, you have a huge leg
- 23:14Speaker 7: up if you want to you know, you know, advertise
- 23:17Speaker 7: yourself online.
- 23:19Speaker 4: You post pictures.
- 23:21Speaker 7: Correct, So everybody is look think about this. Janet Jackson.
- 23:26Speaker 7: The nip slip was international headlines and it wasn't even
- 23:30Speaker 7: it was like a tasseled nipple, right, everyone talked about this.
- 23:35Speaker 4: This is the craziest thing, a nip slip. Oh my god. God.
- 23:38Speaker 7: Now, if there's an orgy on stage with Bad Bunny
- 23:42Speaker 7: and Rihanna like all banging.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Everyone's like, oh yeah, it's a Super Bowl halftime show. Yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 4: that's cool. That's cool.
- 23:47Speaker 5: So what happened desensitized?
- 23:50Speaker 7: Correct, But we're still a Christian nation technically, right, I
- 23:54Speaker 7: mean at the end of the day. And and now
- 23:56Speaker 7: New York City is more accepting. Look, we have a
- 23:59Speaker 7: Muslim era first Muslim mayor, so everybody's like, oh, we're
- 24:02Speaker 7: all accepting of shit.
- 24:03Speaker 3: But okay, but the Muslim mayor is also more conservative
- 24:07Speaker 3: because that's the from But.
- 24:08Speaker 4: At the same time almost not saying he did.
- 24:11Speaker 7: But he said he was for legalization and prostitution in
- 24:15Speaker 7: a speech before he ran, right, but then he said
- 24:17Speaker 7: he wasn't. But the fact of the Marris, where are
- 24:20Speaker 7: we as a society because at the same time we're oppressed, right, we.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Don't like sex. Sex is over there Texas table.
- 24:26Speaker 7: And it's everyone's everyone's selling themselves now because the nip slip,
- 24:31Speaker 7: that's nothing.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Nothing now it's.
- 24:33Speaker 7: Like every bartender, every waitress, even waiters. I have a
- 24:37Speaker 7: guy that I play music with, handsome twenty two year
- 24:40Speaker 7: old guy. He makes more money on his only fans
- 24:43Speaker 7: selling his penis than he does with the music. I
- 24:47Speaker 7: would never I would never, twenty two think about doing
- 24:50Speaker 7: that because I think my life's over.
- 24:52Speaker 4: I did a few nude photo shoots.
- 24:54Speaker 7: There's some pictures out there somewhere, some very famous photographers
- 24:57Speaker 7: on a camera. Okay, you know, if they can them
- 25:00Speaker 7: ount great whatever if I'm fifty.
- 25:04Speaker 4: If I'm fifty five years old, that shows up like
- 25:06Speaker 4: it was cool for a legitimate job exactly.
- 25:10Speaker 7: But like the fact of the matter is, now, this
- 25:12Speaker 7: is like, this is real income for people.
- 25:15Speaker 5: People like I'm going to aspire to be an OnlyFans model.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Now it's just like, but that's not a career.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Okay, doing porn acting, I guess was a career at
- 25:25Speaker 7: one point because guess what, like you said, not everyone
- 25:28Speaker 7: is a model, not everybody, says stary, correct, you have
- 25:31Speaker 7: to have a certain No, no, that's gone.
- 25:36Speaker 4: I went to.
- 25:39Speaker 7: I work with a gentleman's club, Sapphire, and my girl
- 25:41Speaker 7: works so I work promotions. We do a party called
- 25:44Speaker 7: Sins on Sunday and we went to I forgot what
- 25:47Speaker 7: the name of the there's a porn convention or like
- 25:51Speaker 7: an adult expo convention, and I went there. What used
- 25:56Speaker 7: to be attractive to the average person is not a
- 26:00Speaker 7: big boob, but nope, everything is a fetish.
- 26:04Speaker 5: So the feti the fetish.
- 26:05Speaker 7: Is how mainstream and the mainstream is now the fetish.
- 26:09Speaker 7: So a girl that used to look like Britney Spears
- 26:11Speaker 7: that was like everybody like that, that's why she blew up.
- 26:13Speaker 7: She was the accessible girl next door that everyone's like, well,
- 26:15Speaker 7: it's a fantasy, but I can maybe get that. Nope, no, no, no.
- 26:19Speaker 7: Now you have to be four foot eleven with eighty
- 26:22Speaker 7: five tattoos and seven thousand piercings, or six foot eight
- 26:26Speaker 7: with ginormous breasts and no ass, or your ass used
- 26:30Speaker 7: to be the size of a small plant.
- 26:32Speaker 4: And everyone's into the fetishes. So the fetishes had.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Become the mainstream thing, and the attractive normal people that
- 26:37Speaker 7: we would say that's pretty no one cares. It's so
- 26:41Speaker 7: weird and for me it's like a total mind fuck.
- 26:44Speaker 7: But this is the whole thing. The people that have the.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Most following on the Internet get the most clout.
- 26:51Speaker 7: A lot of those people come from money, and they
- 26:53Speaker 7: could pump money into their advertising to expose themselves to
- 26:56Speaker 7: a bigger audience. The Internet, which used to expose people
- 27:00Speaker 7: based off of what was what people liked, that is
- 27:03Speaker 7: no more. It is now based off of who gives
- 27:05Speaker 7: the most to meta, who gives the most to Google,
- 27:08Speaker 7: who gives the most to whatever.
- 27:10Speaker 4: If you can.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Afford to advertise yourself, you are going to be seen
- 27:14Speaker 7: and then it is up to the world to decide
- 27:16Speaker 7: whether correct. But to even get to that point, you
- 27:20Speaker 7: could be one in a billion, like a bad bunny
- 27:23Speaker 7: is a one and a billion.
- 27:24Speaker 4: You know a kid that posts stuff, but.
- 27:26Speaker 7: Even then he posted his music I think on SoundCloud,
- 27:30Speaker 7: and that blew up when SoundCloud was still a new platform,
- 27:35Speaker 7: or the algorithm rewarded you before it went corporate.
- 27:38Speaker 6: Now it's subscription based advertising.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Correct.
- 27:41Speaker 7: If you are an amazing singer and you start posting
- 27:43Speaker 7: stuff as SoundCloud, you're already against everybody. Yeah, so the
- 27:46Speaker 7: only way to win now, even in a podcast, you
- 27:49Speaker 7: need to be on the platform.
- 27:52Speaker 4: And this is a bad word.
- 27:53Speaker 7: You can't say Christopher Columbus, but you need to be
- 27:55Speaker 7: the Christopher Columbus of the platform. You need to discover
- 27:59Speaker 7: a platform before anybody else. I was on YouTube the
- 28:03Speaker 7: second day it came out. I was doing joke videos
- 28:06Speaker 7: because I didn't know what the hell it was. I
- 28:08Speaker 7: was like, I dressed up like I wore a rainbow outfit.
- 28:11Speaker 7: I'm like, let's go shopping with me. Jonas and I
- 28:14Speaker 7: took my agent from the modeling age that's ahead of
- 28:16Speaker 7: its time.
- 28:16Speaker 4: I deleted the video why because I told my agent.
- 28:20Speaker 4: I was like, this is stupid, but.
- 28:22Speaker 5: You were ahead of your time.
- 28:23Speaker 4: I was posting crazy stuff. I was getting likes.
- 28:26Speaker 7: I was like, I don't want to say I didn't
- 28:28Speaker 7: know what I didn't know. I was like, yeah, I
- 28:31Speaker 7: was on.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I was.
- 28:32Speaker 7: I discovered America on YouTube. I literally I remember I
- 28:36Speaker 7: posted a basketball video of me shooting basketballs. You typed
- 28:39Speaker 7: in basketball on YouTube. I was like the fourth thing
- 28:42Speaker 7: that you would see. How insane that is the power
- 28:45Speaker 7: I would have had. Now I'm struggling to get anybody
- 28:48Speaker 7: to watch me. Same with the Instagram. Elliott to Belly
- 28:52Speaker 7: Do you know who that is? Elliott to Belly is
- 28:54Speaker 7: a wealthy Jewish kid. He started posting memes on his
- 28:58Speaker 7: Instagram page okay, very early on sneakers and memes, not
- 29:03Speaker 7: stuff that he made, just memes.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Of other people. Blew up.
- 29:07Speaker 7: Okay, he owns Fuck Jerry. It's a big, big tiff.
- 29:11Speaker 7: He also owns Haha tequila. From literally just being the
- 29:16Speaker 7: first person on this platform doing memes. Yeah, so that's
- 29:21Speaker 7: insane to think about, right, You just need to be
- 29:24Speaker 7: the If you were the first person and one of
- 29:26Speaker 7: the top ten people on TikTok to start a you know,
- 29:31Speaker 7: bisexual lesbian meat podcast, right, and you're on TikTok every
- 29:36Speaker 7: single day advertising and people type in bisexuals lesbian's talking boom.
- 29:41Speaker 4: You just need to.
- 29:42Speaker 7: Be the first person, first present, or you need to
- 29:44Speaker 7: have a ton of money to catch up to everybody else.
- 29:48Speaker 7: If not, you better do something very very creative and
- 29:51Speaker 7: get very very lucky and stick to one topic. I'll
- 29:55Speaker 7: give you an example. Go on Instagram. You want to
- 29:58Speaker 7: look at a picture of Lamborghini. You type in Lamborghini's.
- 30:01Speaker 7: You go to a page. There's a nice picture of Lamborghini.
- 30:04Speaker 7: The next picture is of a guy with a cup
- 30:05Speaker 7: of coffee and his kid. You'll be like, fuck this,
- 30:07Speaker 7: I want Lamborghini content. You're gonna go to a page
- 30:10Speaker 7: specific for Lamborghinis. Once you get distracted with something else,
- 30:14Speaker 7: it's over. So you have to deliver one type of
- 30:17Speaker 7: content all the time, never straight from that content, or
- 30:22Speaker 7: need to have been on that platform long enough where
- 30:24Speaker 7: people actually think you're an interesting personality because you did
- 30:28Speaker 7: something original before anybody else's interesting.
- 30:32Speaker 6: With the algorithms, now is if you're not giving useful
- 30:35Speaker 6: new information, nobody will find you. So you know how
- 30:38Speaker 6: you don't even see the people you follow anymore. It's
- 30:40Speaker 6: now the algorithm is suggesting things that we think you
- 30:42Speaker 6: would like based on whoever is breaking through the norm.
- 30:47Speaker 6: So now they're they're encouraging me, or like my management
- 30:50Speaker 6: is telling me, okay, you do comedy stuff, you do impressions.
- 30:53Speaker 6: But now people just want to only coming to you
- 30:55Speaker 6: for advice. So if you have advice for new comedians
- 30:58Speaker 6: on the rise or a new impressionists, or hey, how'd
- 31:01Speaker 6: you get here? So people are only interested in that
- 31:03Speaker 6: interesting what I know exactly what we're talking about with
- 31:07Speaker 6: the niche, You're like, this is my content.
- 31:09Speaker 5: I'm gonna keep on posting about this.
- 31:10Speaker 7: Until you get past that point where you've broken through
- 31:13Speaker 7: the wall and now people want to see you do
- 31:17Speaker 7: other stuff. Like a girl that came from Canada a
- 31:20Speaker 7: few years ago. My buddy Nico, who was on American
- 31:22Speaker 7: Idolists like, oh, this girl needs a job. We got
- 31:25Speaker 7: her a job, and I got her job in a
- 31:27Speaker 7: dental office. Yeah, she said she was a comedian. She
- 31:30Speaker 7: had like fourteen thousan fifteen thousand that's cool. I was like, okay, yeah, comedy,
- 31:35Speaker 7: that's great. She started doing prank call videos, fake PRNT
- 31:39Speaker 7: call videos where somebody else was actually answering, so it
- 31:41Speaker 7: was already set up. That's and they went viral and
- 31:46Speaker 7: I don't know what it was, but she kept doing
- 31:48Speaker 7: the same thing over and over and over and over again.
- 31:50Speaker 7: She's cute enough that people are like, oh, this is
- 31:52Speaker 7: a cute, funny prank call video. And now she's got
- 31:55Speaker 7: six hundred and seven hundred thousand followers. You have the
- 31:58Speaker 7: mayor had her on like doing like the when he
- 32:00Speaker 7: was running like a said celebrity guest, and I'm like,
- 32:03Speaker 7: this is insane.
- 32:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but like how does this happen?
- 32:06Speaker 7: That's where you can actually grow without paying into the algorithm.
- 32:10Speaker 5: You got to do something that you got to keep doing.
- 32:12Speaker 7: It's also it could take years, definitely, and it's sticking
- 32:16Speaker 7: to the same content over and over and over and
- 32:19Speaker 7: over and over again, ad nauseam, ad nauseam? Why am all?
- 32:23Speaker 3: And you got to do it every day every day.
- 32:26Speaker 4: You're probably going to kill yourself after a while.
- 32:28Speaker 7: When you don't get the clicks, you're like, oh my god,
- 32:31Speaker 7: it's I tried doing this. I just have too many interests.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I started doing my gen Z videos and I have
- 32:36Speaker 3: to do them every day, but every day because I've
- 32:39Speaker 3: been posted, Notice I be talking about gen sorry gen
- 32:41Speaker 3: Ac updated by gen x videos and I love to
- 32:44Speaker 3: be a gen x or and why am I proud?
- 32:46Speaker 3: And the differences and the funny should I talk about
- 32:50Speaker 3: and those and now that I've been doing them every day,
- 32:52Speaker 3: every day people have been watching. I've been watching and
- 32:54Speaker 3: watching and watching. But I'm like every day, I'm like,
- 32:57Speaker 3: I got to think of something. Something, I got to
- 32:59Speaker 3: think of some most to say.
- 33:00Speaker 7: And by the way, it's not organic because you're like
- 33:03Speaker 7: you're forcing yourself to think about it and then.
- 33:05Speaker 4: It's like shit.
- 33:06Speaker 7: But that's like a scripted show to an extent. But
- 33:08Speaker 7: that's that's what a reward the algorithm rewards, especially on YouTube.
- 33:12Speaker 7: I remember I went to le Yor Cohen, the music
- 33:14Speaker 7: guy who's ahead of YouTube music, and his VP told
- 33:17Speaker 7: me very specifically, YouTube rewards consistent content over a consistent
- 33:21Speaker 7: amount of time, unlike TikTok, which anything can go viral.
- 33:25Speaker 7: And by the way, TikTok really rewards antagonistic content, which
- 33:29Speaker 7: I really don't like. Yeah, the more vitriol and negative
- 33:33Speaker 7: and lies and slander.
- 33:35Speaker 4: TikTok really is fed up. I really don't.
- 33:39Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 33:40Speaker 7: It's also kind of mindless. And the and the Chinese
- 33:43Speaker 7: version of the application is a learning application, and the
- 33:46Speaker 7: one we get is stupid dances.
- 33:48Speaker 5: To me, it's like this, it's trying to like you
- 33:53Speaker 5: and they're dumbing down.
- 33:54Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
- 33:55Speaker 7: There's no only fans in China, of course, not so
- 33:58Speaker 7: what I'm saying, it's like, you know what I mean,
- 34:00Speaker 7: like Russia, But this is what I'm saying.
- 34:03Speaker 4: So and we're all over the place here.
- 34:05Speaker 7: This is great talking about like oppressive society, like these
- 34:09Speaker 7: are the most oppressive societies and compared to us. But
- 34:15Speaker 7: but yes, what I'm saying, it's like, what are we
- 34:17Speaker 7: doing here? If you ever watched those kids in those
- 34:19Speaker 7: schools and trying to like the things they could do
- 34:21Speaker 7: math and science, they blow us out of the water. Now,
- 34:25Speaker 7: is creative thinking the same over there as here? No,
- 34:30Speaker 7: because they limit your ability so we can have more invention.
- 34:33Speaker 7: But on a general scale of reading and arithmetic, we're
- 34:37Speaker 7: getting crushed because oh wait, I can't read and I
- 34:40Speaker 7: can't write, and I use chat GBT to do my
- 34:43Speaker 7: emails and never mind. But you know what, I'll show
- 34:48Speaker 7: my vagina and maybe that guy at the bar that
- 34:50Speaker 7: I serve a drink to he'll pay me fifteen dollars
- 34:53Speaker 7: a month and maybe he'll DM me and send me
- 34:54Speaker 7: an extra fifty bucks. And you know what, maybe I'll
- 34:57Speaker 7: go into this. I'll go into that. That can last
- 34:59Speaker 7: for a few years. Yeah, when you age out of that,
- 35:02Speaker 7: what are you going to do now?
- 35:04Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Yeah, we have to think about this.
- 35:07Speaker 3: I think that the next time you come back on,
- 35:09Speaker 3: I think, well, because I want to have you back
- 35:11Speaker 3: on again, because you we have a lot of other
- 35:13Speaker 3: topics that we need to talk about when you come
- 35:15Speaker 3: back on, because we just scratched the surface and I
- 35:18Speaker 3: like this. This might be viral videos talking about this
- 35:21Speaker 3: stuff because this is good.
- 35:22Speaker 5: You know, I had questions about nightlife.
- 35:23Speaker 4: I know, I know we have a luminum amount of
- 35:27Speaker 4: time we need.
- 35:27Speaker 3: To we need to come back and say you thought
- 35:29Speaker 3: that you are you are, you are going to be
- 35:31Speaker 3: an awesome guest, and you're awesome.
- 35:33Speaker 4: I listen.
- 35:34Speaker 7: I know a little bit about a lot I love that,
- 35:38Speaker 7: and a lot about.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Very little youthful on a podcast.
- 35:42Speaker 7: Why to keep distracting you guys moving from topics.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Like I'm hosting you so you can.
- 35:50Speaker 7: Because by the time you get me into a topic,
- 35:53Speaker 7: if I start getting too far, I actually have to
- 35:55Speaker 7: give you some real depth.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm okay, I'm joking.
- 35:57Speaker 3: But I have to have you back on again, because
- 35:59Speaker 3: you do. We just scratched the surface on so many
- 36:02Speaker 3: good time. I could send talk to you for five
- 36:03Speaker 3: hours like leg so we need we need to come
- 36:06Speaker 3: back again and I need to have you one again.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Please tell everybody where they could find you, especially the
- 36:11Speaker 3: club that you are that So.
- 36:13Speaker 4: I'm at this club.
- 36:14Speaker 7: It's one of the few remaining large clubs in New
- 36:18Speaker 7: York City. I listen in Manhattan, right, you know you
- 36:21Speaker 7: just have the Tunnel and Club USA.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Those clubs are awesome, sad, but I worked.
- 36:25Speaker 5: I worked at the Tunnel, Oh my god.
- 36:28Speaker 7: But now it's called Nebul It's on forty first. We're
- 36:31Speaker 7: open Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and it's just a good fun time.
- 36:34Speaker 7: Like you come in, you might not know who the
- 36:36Speaker 7: DJ is. You might know at the door for Jonas,
- 36:39Speaker 7: I'll be there.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Does that still work? Depends on.
- 36:45Speaker 7: Some people are like, oh, I'm here for Jonas and
- 36:47Speaker 7: I'm like, I see them out the window.
- 36:49Speaker 4: I don't want that.
- 36:49Speaker 7: I don't tell the doormat alone. But it's it's a
- 36:53Speaker 7: fun club and I work with Sapphire. We do an
- 36:56Speaker 7: industry night party on Sunday at Sapphire and third I Love,
- 36:58Speaker 7: I love, so.
- 36:59Speaker 4: We have a lot of fun. So good.
- 37:01Speaker 3: I went to a I went to a party there,
- 37:03Speaker 3: birthday party there a couple of weeks ago.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I had fifteen hundreds of Oh hey, now I was,
- 37:10Speaker 5: I was making it right.
- 37:11Speaker 7: It's open, it's three locations. But on Sunday night we
- 37:14Speaker 7: do an industry and night party. Like last night the
- 37:16Speaker 7: Bachelorette got canceled, but we still we had it planned.
- 37:19Speaker 7: So we gave out roses and you gave your favorite
- 37:21Speaker 7: rose or your favorite rose, you gave your rose, your
- 37:23Speaker 7: favorite entertainer, and then we did like a pageant like
- 37:26Speaker 7: the Final Rose Ceremony.
- 37:28Speaker 4: So so we have fun.
- 37:29Speaker 7: And then I throw a party on Thursday night at
- 37:32Speaker 7: the Highlight Room in the Lower East Side at the
- 37:34Speaker 7: mock Hum give us a handle so they it's at
- 37:37Speaker 7: Young Bora, which is an ode to my parents because
- 37:40Speaker 7: paul a Young Randy Borah. It's like I had a
- 37:42Speaker 7: band once, and what we call a band. I'm like, oh,
- 37:45Speaker 7: John's like Van Halen, right, I'm like, oh yeah, Like
- 37:48Speaker 7: Young Bora.
- 37:48Speaker 4: I'm like that's so stupid. I'm like, no one's gonna
- 37:51Speaker 4: know what good it's good. So I'm at Young Bora.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I'm only on really only on Instagram.
- 37:58Speaker 6: But he will respond to your data.
- 38:00Speaker 7: I will, and you can tell me you can fuck
- 38:03Speaker 7: myself and I will give you a thumbs up. Probably
- 38:06Speaker 7: nothing else besides the thumbs up emoji. Today I got
- 38:09Speaker 7: a text, but I gotta let you know about this.
- 38:11Speaker 7: I got text message, uh, Jonas, you are surrounded by
- 38:14Speaker 7: devils and thieves. It was like this whole like like
- 38:17Speaker 7: the world is a very dark place.
- 38:21Speaker 4: So I wrote back. I gave him the thumbs up emoji.
- 38:23Speaker 4: I'm like, what else? What else do you want to
- 38:25Speaker 4: tell me?
- 38:25Speaker 5: You know about it?
- 38:26Speaker 4: We got exactly it's hilarious.
- 38:28Speaker 7: But you know what, when you when you put yourself
- 38:30Speaker 7: out there, you're going to take the good with the
- 38:33Speaker 7: That's true. It's like they want to cancel all these monuments.
- 38:36Speaker 7: It's like we can't name this after this person. I'm like,
- 38:39Speaker 7: these are human beings. It's like you want to say
- 38:42Speaker 7: that Abraham Lincoln was great, but he did some bad,
- 38:45Speaker 7: fucking fucked up ship.
- 38:46Speaker 4: I'm sure he did.
- 38:47Speaker 3: How about this, Every human being has done some bad fay.
- 38:51Speaker 7: If you're a human being, it's like you're not infallible.
- 38:54Speaker 7: So it's like the fact of the matter is, it's
- 38:56Speaker 7: like we could talk about.
- 38:58Speaker 4: This, We'll talk about that. That's the next time to
