- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, alive from Philly. It's the Polly
- 0:09Speaker 1: and Tony Foolsco Shows, always Polly Foolsco. Here with Tony
- 0:16Speaker 1: Folsco and Tony Yo Phillies World Series, as we predicted
- 0:22Speaker 1: at the start of the season before anybody else did.
- 0:26Speaker 1: And of course the other story here just as huge
- 0:29Speaker 1: justice predictable, the Yankees absolutely blowing it getting swept by
- 0:36Speaker 1: the Astros, who didn't even need to horribly cheat this time. Anyway,
- 0:40Speaker 1: we're bringing on a guest today. Will can truly help
- 0:43Speaker 1: us shed light on what went wrong for New York.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You know, sure he was a two thousand nine World
- 0:50Speaker 1: Series champions with the Yankees. No thanks to him. Of course,
- 0:55Speaker 1: he battled up paltry one thirty three in the postseason
- 1:00Speaker 1: and I point, oh eight three. How would you even
- 1:04Speaker 1: say that. I've gotta figure that out. I don't even
- 1:06Speaker 1: know how to calculate. You'll say eight three? Is that
- 1:08Speaker 1: what you'll say? Anyway? Maybe we'll ask him, all right,
- 1:11Speaker 1: that's what he batted in the A. L. D. S.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Tony Anyway, Clearly he is the perfect person to give
- 1:17Speaker 1: us insight into how the Yankees totally blew it. Nick
- 1:22Speaker 1: Swish and you know, we're gonna get into all our
- 1:26Speaker 1: top stories as usual, but first gotta get a little
- 1:29Speaker 1: business out of the way. And add for our good
- 1:33Speaker 1: friends at Big League Chew. Do you chew gum by
- 1:38Speaker 1: the stick? Well, what's the matter with you? Yeah, what
- 1:41Speaker 1: are you a bird? You should be chewing gum by
- 1:45Speaker 1: the handful. Exactly, Big League chew bubble gum for real men,
- 1:50Speaker 1: Big League chew. All right, you know the reason people
- 1:54Speaker 1: love this show when we get huge ratings, we get
- 1:57Speaker 1: right into things. So we're not gonna waste anyone's time
- 2:00Speaker 1: without further a dude, here we go. Let's get into
- 2:03Speaker 1: our top story to story. First story out the gate
- 2:10Speaker 1: of course, the Phillies in the World Series, while the
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yankees blow the big one, and you know, downy on
- 2:17Speaker 1: the subject of blowing, we were blowing up on TikTok
- 2:21Speaker 1: this week, you know, without terrific take of course, especially
- 2:24Speaker 1: the one where we pointed out, you know, the Yankees
- 2:27Speaker 1: who are going home early, well, their payroll is way
- 2:30Speaker 1: way higher than the Phillies payroll. Now, people they didn't
- 2:33Speaker 1: want to believe this, so they come at us and
- 2:35Speaker 1: they say, what do you mean it's higher? There's only
- 2:38Speaker 1: a nine million dollar difference. Nine million dollar difference. Suddenly,
- 2:44Speaker 1: that's not a lot of money. Shame on your people, right,
- 2:48Speaker 1: don'ty shame on them. Yeah, we know a lot of people,
- 2:53Speaker 1: not us, but a lot of people that could use
- 2:56Speaker 1: that kind of money. Again, not us, We are doing
- 2:59Speaker 1: very well for ourselves, just to be clear. But other
- 3:02Speaker 1: people could use nine million dollars. Yeah, if you want
- 3:06Speaker 1: to be what are those elitist pigs out there who
- 3:09Speaker 1: wants to tell us nine million dollars is not a
- 3:11Speaker 1: lot of money. Well, you know, tell that straight to
- 3:13Speaker 1: the face of Philly's hero relief pitcher, Sir Anthony Dominguez,
- 3:19Speaker 1: who just delivered a clutch six out playoffs save and
- 3:23Speaker 1: is only making a pultry seven hundred and twenty five
- 3:27Speaker 1: thousand dollars this season, absolutely underpaid, right, don't exactly struggling
- 3:33Speaker 1: to put food on the table. Nine million dollars could
- 3:37Speaker 1: get you forty, Sir Anthony Dominguez is, And that's how
- 3:41Speaker 1: you thought show some respect. Yeah, you want to say
- 3:44Speaker 1: nine million dollars is not a lot of money, Please
- 3:47Speaker 1: tell that through Phillies legend Mike Schmidt. You know we
- 3:51Speaker 1: looked this up before the show. You know, between the
- 3:54Speaker 1: years and four years in that Tonty Mike Schmidt only
- 4:00Speaker 1: made nine million dollars total and he was the league's
- 4:04Speaker 1: top player. So you know, nine million dollars is clearly
- 4:09Speaker 1: at a lot of money if it was enough to
- 4:11Speaker 1: buy Mr Mike Schmidt. But you know, don'ty, we're not
- 4:14Speaker 1: gonna let negativity take over the show. We're gonna have
- 4:17Speaker 1: some positivity. It was we're also known for. And you know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: in the midst of all this Philly celebration, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: we saw a great interview this week, don'ty. You know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's so it's so great when you see a former
- 4:29Speaker 1: player come on to speak positively, you know, about about
- 4:33Speaker 1: the franchise he used to play for. And now that's
- 4:35Speaker 1: when you get real honest talk, you know. And that
- 4:38Speaker 1: was absolutely the case out of what we saw from
- 4:40Speaker 1: Phillies champion and legend Ryan Howard, you know, from that
- 4:44Speaker 1: terrific both thousand and eight championship team. He went on
- 4:48Speaker 1: the beloved Key Shawan, J. Will and Max Show on ESPN,
- 4:53Speaker 1: a K A KGM for all the viewers there, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 1: all thousands of them, however, but you know, he shared
- 4:59Speaker 1: some terrific insight on this show. Hey, listen to this
- 5:03Speaker 1: all right. So in order to get to a championship,
- 5:05Speaker 1: what do you think is the biggest key for the
- 5:07Speaker 1: Phillies going against the Astros in the World Series. Man,
- 5:10Speaker 1: the biggest key is they just got to continue to
- 5:13Speaker 1: just be themselves, Uh, play their game. You know, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: gotta go in Hey, everybody always says if you're gonna
- 5:18Speaker 1: be a championship team, and you gotta win on the road.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So you gotta go into Houston a little bit of
- 5:22Speaker 1: hostitl territory. Um at least, you know, come away with
- 5:25Speaker 1: a split if you can, and bring it back to Philly. Wow.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So much terrific insight and wisdom to unpack there. You know,
- 5:36Speaker 1: I don't even know where to stop Tony. But first,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know, he is a hundred percent right, because you know,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you see so many teams they get to the series
- 5:43Speaker 1: and they incorrectly think, you know, they say to themselves,
- 5:46Speaker 1: we need to stop doing all the things that got
- 5:49Speaker 1: us it. Yep, we see it all the time. Yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And you know another point Team made there, which is
- 5:54Speaker 1: just spot on terrific. He explained that teams need to
- 5:59Speaker 1: win on the road. You know, this is where teams
- 6:02Speaker 1: always go wrong, Tony. They get to the series and
- 6:05Speaker 1: they forget the importance of winning on the road. Isn't
- 6:08Speaker 1: that right? Yeah, if you make it to the World Series,
- 6:12Speaker 1: the first thing you should do is get this schedule
- 6:15Speaker 1: and then count the number of games home versus away.
- 6:19Speaker 1: If the number of games that are away is larger
- 6:22Speaker 1: than the number of games at home, then you must
- 6:25Speaker 1: make it a priority to win at least one road game.
- 6:29Speaker 1: If you don't win one road game, then you will
- 6:32Speaker 1: not have one enough games to win the championship. Terrific
- 6:37Speaker 1: analysis that, Dony. What a way to break it down
- 6:40Speaker 1: for the audience so they could understand it. And you know, again,
- 6:43Speaker 1: terrific thoughts there by Mr Ryan Howard. Thank you for that.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Now turning our attention to the NFL. Of course, the
- 6:50Speaker 1: Eagles were on a bye week. Uh so they maintain
- 6:53Speaker 1: their six and o status as the best team in football.
- 6:56Speaker 1: But of course Cowboys fans, you know, they're getting all
- 6:58Speaker 1: gared away because they beat the Lions. Whatever. But you
- 7:03Speaker 1: know another angle hit Tony, that was seeing you know,
- 7:05Speaker 1: people are bagging on Dak Prescott because he apparently chose
- 7:10Speaker 1: to come back against the Lions and and not a
- 7:13Speaker 1: better team you know later on. But what what I
- 7:16Speaker 1: don't understand here? Why are people criticizing for that? You know,
- 7:20Speaker 1: this is the smart strategy by Dallas, Isn't that right? Don'ty? Yeah?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Makes total sense. In fact, we don't want to help
- 7:29Speaker 1: the Cowboys, but we suggest that they stick with this strategy.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Put Deck in for the easy games against the Lions
- 7:36Speaker 1: and other horrible teams, then rest the better and not
- 7:40Speaker 1: as old pull b Cooper Rush for the harder games
- 7:44Speaker 1: that Dak stands no chance of winning. Great point, Tony,
- 7:49Speaker 1: And you know you always have to favor youth over experience.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And you know Doc is extremely old and compared to
- 7:55Speaker 1: Cooper Rush. You know, just you know, we we went
- 7:58Speaker 1: ahead with this, and we actually laid the QB plan
- 8:01Speaker 1: for the Cowboys moving forward. This is what they should do.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Bench Dak for the next four games against the Bears, Packers, Vikings,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and Giants, but then have him come in for a
- 8:14Speaker 1: solid and simple three game stretch against the Colts, Texans
- 8:18Speaker 1: and Jags before Cooper Rush takes the field against the Eagles.
- 8:23Speaker 1: There you go, right, Tony, such terrific advice. I hope
- 8:27Speaker 1: they take it. And I also hope they don't, as
- 8:31Speaker 1: it will help them. That is totally a concerned Tony.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But we have to turn our attention to other matters there.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Of course, I'm talking about Philly's World Series Yankees blowing it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: and here to discuss it all. I see our guests
- 8:44Speaker 1: coming on the line, so let's bring him on the
- 8:46Speaker 1: FUSCO Satellite Network. Satellite Okay, our guest. He is a
- 8:55Speaker 1: former baseball player. I guess you could say of some
- 8:57Speaker 1: note whatever. He's out promoting his podcast he's got coming up.
- 9:01Speaker 1: He's gonna be doing something about sports psychology. I can't
- 9:04Speaker 1: figure that out. What is that? I don't know. And
- 9:07Speaker 1: a terrible career move there. Anyway, all right, we all
- 9:09Speaker 1: know he was in nine, two thousand nine World Series
- 9:13Speaker 1: champion in quotes, you know, with the Yankees. But what
- 9:16Speaker 1: he's most known for, of course, is batting one through
- 9:20Speaker 1: that postseason and U and uh point oh eight three?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Is that what you say? That point? But will you
- 9:27Speaker 1: just say eighty three in that case? Sorry, I've never
- 9:29Speaker 1: read a number that low in the A L. D S. Anyway,
- 9:33Speaker 1: maybe he can shed some lights. He's obviously knows what
- 9:36Speaker 1: it's like to fail on the biggest stage as the
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yankees just did. So let's bring him in you Nick
- 9:41Speaker 1: Swish show, Welcome to the show. Welcome to the show.
- 9:44Speaker 1: What a great entrance. Fell us really appreciate that boy.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Welcome of course. You know tell us Nick, you know
- 9:52Speaker 1: you struggled right with that oh eight three average right
- 9:56Speaker 1: that that it was extremely terrible for you. What do
- 9:59Speaker 1: you think was going on with the Yankees? Tell us
- 10:01Speaker 1: why they were so terrible? Um, and your expert or
- 10:05Speaker 1: non expert opinion, whatever you call. Listen, boys, it's a
- 10:09Speaker 1: good thing. Baseball is a team sport, right, I mean
- 10:12Speaker 1: it takes a bunch of guys to get you to
- 10:14Speaker 1: that promised land. You guys know that. Obviously missing out
- 10:17Speaker 1: on your boy Bryce Harper all season long, thank god
- 10:20Speaker 1: you had everybody else step up. Now your boy shows. Yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 1: that's waiting for the right time instead of chasing sixty runs,
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's heaven. Rob Thompson ex Yankee, Kevin law credit you know, yeah, yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 1: just jealous, typical pill. He's never wanted you. Yeah, but
- 10:45Speaker 1: you know what that is. It is because the Philly
- 10:47Speaker 1: is good. Hey, I'm trying to talk here. Learn how
- 10:50Speaker 1: to be a guest. Don't be on your sports psychology show.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You can dam whatever you do, but listen, the Phillies
- 10:58Speaker 1: are the better managed organization that he had this huge payroll.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Where does it de belly? Nowhere except the ride home
- 11:07Speaker 1: from Houston. E Phillies managed themselves, right. Don't you think
- 11:11Speaker 1: the Yankees are the poorly managed organization? Just an embarrassment
- 11:17Speaker 1: to the MLB? Come up quite the opposite seven nationales.
- 11:28Speaker 1: What are you gonna tell me? That NC Music Factory
- 11:32Speaker 1: for the game last year? You're a fan of CNC
- 11:37Speaker 1: Music Factory brought up what you guys were talking about
- 11:40Speaker 1: last September when the Phillies crumbled. Bro Now you you
- 11:48Speaker 1: you got swept. You missed the point oh eight three,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and you're talking about crumbled crumbled? Yes, you are like
- 11:58Speaker 1: its like the Oreo cookie in that World Series. You
- 12:02Speaker 1: just run into a bus. Soll you know, but out
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm just a moment, you know, And I really do
- 12:06Speaker 1: need to talk about the money mismanagement by the Yankees,
- 12:09Speaker 1: because they paid you thirty one million dollars and that
- 12:15Speaker 1: was over four years. We broke that down. It came
- 12:17Speaker 1: to about a million dollars per hit. Do you feel
- 12:21Speaker 1: like you maybe took them for a ride there. You know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you maybe owe them money, you know, yeah, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: and maybe he should give that silly red hat back
- 12:29Speaker 1: to listeners. He's wearing a red Yankees read Yankees had,
- 12:34Speaker 1: which tells you he's a he's a closet Phillies fan. Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: he must have borrowed that from Vanilla closet. Was a
- 12:41Speaker 1: Phillies fan right now? Would be when I'm a Phillies fan,
- 12:44Speaker 1: especially with what happened to us in the a LCS.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Not exactly the best baseball that we've played all year,
- 12:49Speaker 1: but you gotta remember, I gotta but I got more
- 12:51Speaker 1: friends on that team, and you guys would ever think
- 12:53Speaker 1: about having on that squad, So anybody should be you know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: this is what you're doing. Hold on, I what's going
- 13:00Speaker 1: on here? I see what's psychology? Yes, what psychology will
- 13:04Speaker 1: give you? Psychology? You for years, you were so proud
- 13:07Speaker 1: to be a Yankees fan. Oh yeah, so proud. I
- 13:10Speaker 1: wore the pint and stripes. Then he started to notice
- 13:13Speaker 1: the boat was sinking. Another one. Now you got that
- 13:17Speaker 1: red ye oh, stranger suddenly wearing the guest color of red,
- 13:22Speaker 1: which he is to be in another Come on with
- 13:25Speaker 1: the psychology. Yeah, we got you. Come on. Yeah, I
- 13:29Speaker 1: mean listen, guys, I can't. I can't. I got no
- 13:32Speaker 1: comebacks for you. Man. It wasn't our year at all.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But if you really want to, you know, listen, I
- 13:38Speaker 1: know you guys are living in the moment and really
- 13:40Speaker 1: soaking up right now. You don't talk about what happened
- 13:43Speaker 1: at Oh no, we don't even need to bring that right.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You're trying to steer the conversation, so let me steer
- 13:50Speaker 1: it for you. You want to talk about the past
- 13:53Speaker 1: in history, Well guess what your history? Because I'm time
- 13:56Speaker 1: listen to this, you pyology dad by just in the
- 14:04Speaker 1: nick of time, you get your Yankee sho you want
- 14:08Speaker 1: to be. I don't know why everybody doesn't want to
- 14:12Speaker 1: come on this show. Man's fantastic the lines? Is he
- 14:19Speaker 1: off the line? Okay? Hang up to fun. You know.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I hate to say it, Tony, but his batting average
- 14:25Speaker 1: in that segment was also point oh eight three. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: that's how much he deserved to get paid in his career.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Point oh a three dollars terrific. Point too late for
- 14:36Speaker 1: that Yankees mistake there anyway, We're not gonna let that
- 14:39Speaker 1: ruin and otherwise terrific show. Of course, we want to
- 14:43Speaker 1: thank my dear friends at Big League. Oh corrections, if
- 14:50Speaker 1: it isn't Mr Little League Joe, you do s J
- 14:54Speaker 1: the worst? What what corrections go? You guys said Mike
- 15:00Speaker 1: Schmidt made nine million dollars a year between two totally underpaid?
- 15:06Speaker 1: What a shame? Nine million dollars in two is the
- 15:10Speaker 1: equivalent of twenty eight million dollars today. You have to
- 15:14Speaker 1: adjust the numbers for inflation. No, what we need to
- 15:18Speaker 1: do is adjust the numbers in your salary. Yeah, we
- 15:22Speaker 1: have to adjust your microphone to zero. Yeah, yeah, no more,
- 15:28Speaker 1: what what go? Nope? A second? What said nine million
- 15:33Speaker 1: dollars would get you forty? Sir Anthony Dominguez is it's
- 15:37Speaker 1: a shame underpaid? Criminally? No, no, no, no, At his
- 15:41Speaker 1: salary of seven twenty five thousand, it would get you
- 15:45Speaker 1: twelve point four. Just to be clear, that's a pretty
- 15:50Speaker 1: big difference. Oh yeah, well there's a pretty big difference
- 15:53Speaker 1: between when it's silent and you're talking. Yeah, And just
- 15:58Speaker 1: to be clear, I hate this sound of your voice.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I can't disagree with that. All right, that's enough that
- 16:04Speaker 1: what you said, Doak is old compared to Cooper Rush,
- 16:09Speaker 1: washed up dinosaur that is only four months older than
- 16:13Speaker 1: Cooper Rush. They're basically the same age, that is nine,
- 16:18Speaker 1: Cooper is about to be twenty nine. Oh yeah, well
- 16:22Speaker 1: you look like you're twenty nine in dog years child,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I age twenty nine years. Every time you open your mouth,
- 16:33Speaker 1: you know that's it. You know, we got him silent.
- 16:37Speaker 1: See that's how you get him silent. You just you
- 16:39Speaker 1: point out the truth there. But you know what, who
- 16:42Speaker 1: won't be silent is all a loyal fans of the
- 16:44Speaker 1: show when they hear this nose. Just book next week.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Nick falls Eagles coming on, and you know we're gonna
- 16:52Speaker 1: ask him why he didn't get that Colt starting job,
- 16:54Speaker 1: which is an absolute travesty. Anyway, Tony, let's remind the
- 16:59Speaker 1: people fall of us on TikTok, on Facebook, on you know,
- 17:02Speaker 1: all our social platforms, which is blowing up and they
- 17:06Speaker 1: Tony also, great job as always, same to you. Howly,
- 17:12Speaker 1: another floorless show. There you go, We'll see people next week.
- 17:17Speaker 1: See you
