Transcript
- 0:09Welcome to sorbet city news. I'm lead
- 0:12anchor Jerry Garcia. Breaking news.
- 0:15Dilly Dunker's, renowned ice cream maker and
- 0:18leader of one of the most globally recognized brands,
- 0:21has announced his retirement. With the nearing of
- 0:24his company's 50th anniversary comes an even
- 0:27bigger announcement. He's planning a final
- 0:29farewell and passing the company on to one
- 0:33lucky kid. Who will that kid be? Well,
- 0:35that's the news story we will be adamantly following
- 0:38in this coming day. In a seemingly
- 0:40revolutionary PR move, the ice cream
- 0:43satisfactory has packaged five silver
- 0:46coins into randomly chosen Dilly Dunkers
- 0:49frozen treats distributed throughout stores and
- 0:52restaurants in Sorbet city. Any child or
- 0:55teen who finds a silver coin is admitted
- 0:58not only a once in a lifetime tour of the
- 1:00Dillydunkas factory, but also has a chance
- 1:03at being the lucky recipient of the entire
- 1:06corporation all assets
- 1:09and set in a place of leadership to manage
- 1:12all future endeavors of the ice cream
- 1:15empire. Who will the lucky five be? And
- 1:18which one will quickly become the richest kid in the
- 1:20world overnight? Well, that
- 1:23remains to be seen. But when it is revealed, you
- 1:26know, you'll hear it here at SCN. I'm
- 1:29Jerry Garcia. Now on to the weather.
- 1:35Welcome back to, uh, dilly Dunkers ice
- 1:38cream satisfactory, a kids on bike one shot
- 1:41created by myself, Skyler Gorsett, and it is inspired
- 1:44by Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. Uh,
- 1:46whatever the case, I'm here with Cameron,
- 1:49Ben, and Bart, each playing a
- 1:52child that has received actually, I should probably just kind of go
- 1:55into the kind of premise of this. I'll just do that from a narrative perspective.
- 1:57All right, so the year is, uh, let's say
- 2:002024. Sure, because we're almost to the
- 2:03end of this year anyways. It's 2023 currently.
- 2:05Anything could happen then.
- 2:07That's right.
- 2:07Um, we're going to predict the future, guys.
- 2:10Um, this is in a slightly altered universe. It's pretty much a
- 2:13mirror of our own. Just the difference is that you guys all live in
- 2:16the city together. Uh, the city's name
- 2:18is Sorbet city in
- 2:21the estate of New Gelato?
- 2:24Yes.
- 2:24It's going to be a lot of puns.
- 2:27I'm just putting that out there.
- 2:28Buckle up. Wait, hold on. Does new gelato imply that
- 2:31there's an old gelato?
- 2:33Not necessarily.
- 2:34Or is old gelato just Italy?
- 2:37It's very possibly just little Italy became its
- 2:39own full state.
- 2:41Why do I have to play in a role playing game about ice
- 2:44cream treats in the middle of my, uh.
- 2:50Shoulder towards the sugar free stuff, you know?
- 2:53Yeah, exactly. So, in the sprawling capital of
- 2:55Sorbet City, new Gelato is the headquarters of, uh,
- 2:58one of the most well known frozen treat producers in the world,
- 3:01dilly Dunkers ice cream satisfactory.
- 3:04Well known for their wide variety of frozen treats and
- 3:07flavors, they have swept the world by storm over
- 3:10the five decades that they've existed. I'm glad I wrote
- 3:13that down, because I'm going to have to reference that later. But with the
- 3:16company's 50th anniversary coming up, has come with
- 3:18it a major announcement that has shaken the world
- 3:21as much as its milk quakes have the
- 3:24retirement of Dilly Dunker, once a spry
- 3:26young dairy man with dreams to make the world's most
- 3:30creative frozen designs and delights. Now a
- 3:32fragile image of his former self slowly fading away
- 3:35on the frozen throne, he seeks to pass on to his
- 3:38successor hopefully an equally imaginative
- 3:41youth who can spark a whole new liveliness to his
- 3:43brand. All right, so to help in the
- 3:46search, uh, for the perfect individual to take over
- 3:49his frosty factory, he slipped a silver
- 3:51coin featuring an immaculate ice.
- 3:54Cream sundae on it.
- 3:55He slipped it into, uh, the packages of a variety of his frozen
- 3:58treats. Uh, only five were handed out, and he
- 4:01sent those off to, uh, find their
- 4:04place in a child or
- 4:06teenager's ice, uh, cream treat that they
- 4:09purchased from the store. This would award the
- 4:12finder with a tour of the Dilly Dunkers satisfactory.
- 4:15Um, something no one, but required government
- 4:18officials has ever gotten to see before. At the end of
- 4:21this tour, Dilly Dunkers would choose his predecessor, who would
- 4:23take over the operations of the factory, the branding of Dilly
- 4:26Dunker's products, and, of course, all the wealth and money
- 4:29and fame that comes with it. The winner would get to shape the
- 4:32future of the company and be the leading figure in frozen
- 4:35treats around the world. Each one of
- 4:38you, uh, on some day, describe to me the moment
- 4:41when you opened up that ice cream treat, what it was,
- 4:44which I assume is probably your favorite ice cream treat,
- 4:46and, uh, finding that silver coin. Cameron, do
- 4:49you want to kick us off?
- 4:51So in, uh, my parents Cracker Barrel, they
- 4:54have an ice cream freezer
- 4:58in the gift shop so people can get a little dessert on the way out.
- 5:01And every day, uh, if he met his
- 5:03quota is what he called it, he would give
- 5:06himself an ice cream treat.
- 5:08Sure.
- 5:09As a reward.
- 5:10No, his parents weren't giving it to
- 5:12him. They already said you could have one.
- 5:14Every day if he wanted one.
- 5:15But he as, like, a
- 5:18hardworking ethic. He would be like, if
- 5:21I met my quota, I can give myself that ice cream
- 5:24treat. And so that day, he earned that
- 5:26butterscotch blast off, and he opened it up and he found a coin
- 5:29in it, and he was like, this thing's ruined. So he
- 5:32had to open a second one, uh, because
- 5:35the first one's contaminated. As all good Cracker Barrel employees
- 5:38would know, money cannot be mixed with food.
- 5:41So, uh, he ate the second one. Then he realized that coin was actually that prize
- 5:44that people had been talking about.
- 5:46How exciting. Awesome.
- 5:47Fantastic.
- 5:48And so you're on your way to the ice cream
- 5:50satisfactory. Uh, they're having a big, obviously, press
- 5:53release, but we'll get to that. Here ben playing
- 5:56kieran. What was the day like for you when
- 5:59you opened that ice cream treat and found that coin inside?
- 6:02Yeah. Um, it was actually at night
- 6:05when it was nearing the end of the day,
- 6:08uh, my parents were still working
- 6:10late, so having to take care of my
- 6:13little sister. We just got done with
- 6:16dinner, and I went in the freezer, cracked open one of those small
- 6:19pints of, uh.
- 6:20Kit Kat cookie dough heck, yeah.
- 6:22Um, and slipped in under the COVID
- 6:25right when you pop it out. Fell
- 6:28the coin to the floor.
- 6:29Nice.
- 6:29Um, and didn't know what it
- 6:32was at first. Picked it up and kept examining it,
- 6:35but sister only cared about the ice
- 6:38cream. Ran up, jumped, grabbed the pint, and ran away like a
- 6:41little gremlin, like.
- 6:44Um, left you with just this silver coin.
- 6:46Only after examining it did I realize, oh, this is the
- 6:49prize they're talking about.
- 6:50Awesome.
- 6:50Fantastic.
- 6:51All right.
- 6:52Fantastic. And then Bart Bart,
- 6:55what was, um, Philip Dipple doing
- 6:58the day that he found his silver
- 7:01coin in his ice cream treat?
- 7:03Well, ironically, I didn't even know Dilly Dunkers
- 7:06existed until I found that coin.
- 7:08Oh, yeah.
- 7:08Grandma's always hid the packaging from me.
- 7:15She's like, you can have as many as you want and give as many
- 7:18to your friends as you want. But we live on a dead end road in an
- 7:21acreage on the outside of New Gelato. I don't have any
- 7:24friends, so eventually,
- 7:27I was going to be the only one to find it. I guess I'm lucky. But
- 7:30now I know about dilly dunkers, and I can't wait to go see
- 7:32the awesome.
- 7:33Awesome.
- 7:34So we're going to jump ahead to that very day when you guys all get
- 7:37to finally go and see the factory. It's a big, huge PR
- 7:40event. You've got hundreds of people kind of standing outside
- 7:43the gates. You guys were all allowed
- 7:45entrance, uh, people in the back,
- 7:48this massive crowd. You've got tons of photographers and
- 7:51paparazzi and members from the news, um,
- 7:53every news station in the area, and probably some
- 7:56from the bordering towns. And they are all
- 7:59there, excited to finally get to see even just
- 8:02a splinter of the operations of Dilly
- 8:05Dunkers. They don't get to join you in this, but at least they get to kind of see, from
- 8:08a distance, some of the exterior workings,
- 8:11see Dilly Dunkers himself, all of that good stuff. But
- 8:14you guys, you guys are all standing there, uh, awaiting
- 8:16entrance. Um, standing next to you is two
- 8:19other individuals. A little girl. Not a little
- 8:22girl. I mean, she's, like, probably also a fresh teenager as
- 8:25well. Um, she's wearing all pink clothing. She has a
- 8:28tutu on. And, uh,
- 8:31she's got her hair all, like, combed down.
- 8:34Uh, bright blonde hair, maybe some
- 8:36obscure, various bright colors kind of mixed
- 8:39in with that bright colored hair. Um, and
- 8:42she is currently
- 8:44snacking on. Also a sugar
- 8:47free ice cream pop. Uh, much
- 8:50like Julian's or not
- 8:53Julian sorry. Philip's favorite uh, treats.
- 8:56And you guys actually recognize her because she is
- 8:58somewhat of a local celebrity in the area.
- 9:01She is Donna Devine and she is the daughter of
- 9:04the well known Daphne Devine, who is a very
- 9:07popular actress. Um,
- 9:10obviously you can kind of get a sense that
- 9:13Daphne has passed on her dramatic tendencies to her daughter
- 9:15Donna because Donna seems
- 9:18very uh at the moment she kind of looks a little
- 9:21over know, she's looking around like, can.
- 9:23We get this started already?
- 9:25Um, that kind of type of person. And then standing off to the
- 9:28side you see a kind um, of a
- 9:30chubby little guy, um, by the name of
- 9:33you've heard of him before. His name is Hogan Dos. I guess would
- 9:36be an actual is.
- 9:38He German by chance?
- 9:39He seems like he might be, um,
- 9:42potentially.
- 9:47Like I said, he's a little chubby guy. He's got big chubby
- 9:50cheeks. Uh, he's currently eating his way
- 9:53through a uh I've got like a whole list of
- 9:56ice cream bars so I get to bust those out.
- 9:58If it's a hoaged off flavor, I'm going to lose.
- 10:00It's not.
- 10:01It's actually, uh, one of the most famous
- 10:04ice cream treats. One of the first ice cream treats ever
- 10:07created by Dilly Dunker's ice Cream Factory. And that is called a duck
- 10:10fudger. It is a fudge sickle in the shape
- 10:13of a duck. That's pretty much the extent of it.
- 10:15But it was kind of something about the duck shape
- 10:18really kind of blew it out of the water. And everybody loves him.
- 10:21So he's sitting there munching on a duck fudger. Um,
- 10:24all of you are excited to go inside and sure
- 10:27enough, music, uh, starts to play as the
- 10:30doors begin to open and outsteps a very
- 10:33tall and lanky man. He wears a
- 10:36sort of brown, uh, suit coat. Underneath he's
- 10:39got a vest. Uh, his pants also kind of
- 10:41a deep brown color. Not necessarily dark, but just a
- 10:44very brown traditional brown. His shoes
- 10:47also brown. But what really stands out is his
- 10:50hair. Um, he's a very tall sort of
- 10:53scrawny man. Scrawny arms, scrawny legs. His face even
- 10:55is very narrow and thin. But his hair is in a
- 10:58very uh, intense afro shape
- 11:02and it's broken into like three different colors.
- 11:04One side is like a chocolate brown. The middle is
- 11:07sort of a pink strawberry color. And then on
- 11:10the far left side, his afro becomes a sort
- 11:13of uh, maybe lightly yellowed white.
- 11:17Not um, eggshell obviously.
- 11:19We got the neapolitan man.
- 11:21Exactly. And he wears a top
- 11:23hat as well. And he carries a cane
- 11:26that at the top end of it, where you kind of hold on is an
- 11:29ice cream cone. Um, not a real ice cream cone. It just
- 11:32looks like an ice cream cone. And he comes walking out
- 11:35he's a middle aged man for sure. Um, stepping
- 11:38out onto down a red carpet as the music plays,
- 11:41everybody's clapping, cheering, excited to finally see
- 11:44the dilly dunkers. And as he
- 11:46approaches the music, uh, he starts to kind
- 11:49of like speak but you can't hear him over the music and he kind of looks
- 11:52over and he's like, turn her down. Um,
- 11:55and the music kind of cuts off in a really awkward way
- 11:57and he turns to the rest of you.
- 11:59And he says, hello, I recommend
- 12:02that you take a step back.
- 12:04And everybody kind of like, seems a little awkward.
- 12:07Like this is the first thing this guy says after stepping out of his ice
- 12:10cream satisfactory. This is one of the first times you see him. But
- 12:13whatever. Eventually everybody takes a step back and you can see
- 12:16being raised up, uh, on the top kind of
- 12:18spire of the ice cream satisfactory is a giant
- 12:22catapult. And for the kind of
- 12:25arm and throwing section of the catapult, it's a giant
- 12:28ice cream scoop, of course. And
- 12:30inside of the scoop part you see a whole
- 12:33you guys can kind.
- 12:34Of just make it out, but it.
- 12:35Looks like a whole bunch of little packaged frozen treats. And as
- 12:38everybody takes one big step back, he
- 12:41says fire. And uh, there's
- 12:44a little dude you can kind of just see. He's a very
- 12:47short, small man. Uh, he's wearing like a hazmat
- 12:49suit and he sort of just pulls a lever and the
- 12:52arm of the catapult fires and throws just
- 12:55a whole bunch of various ice cream treats into the
- 12:58audience. Who gets semi pelted with them?
- 13:01Ah, yeah, they're frozen. That's going to
- 13:04hurt.
- 13:04Yeah. And you definitely get that impression as people start
- 13:07going, um, they
- 13:09don't hit you guys. Uh, he actually kind of approaches and he takes off
- 13:12his hat and inside are a whole bunch of packed frozen
- 13:15treats. Um, he's kind of standing there awkwardly as you guys are probably looking
- 13:18behind you, I assume, uh, at the people getting pelted with ice
- 13:21cream and kind of screaming in shouts of, uh,
- 13:23upsettedness.
- 13:24And he says probably um, should have.
- 13:26Thought that one through a little bit more. Oh, well, uh, and
- 13:29he says, hey.
- 13:30Here'S one for you guys in a much nicer fashion.
- 13:32And he holds out his hat and inside you find a bunch
- 13:35of frozen treats. One for each of you. And ironically, you find
- 13:38it is your three favorite frozen treats.
- 13:41Five.
- 13:42I guess if you include the other two.
- 13:45I'm just going to hesitantly just
- 13:48looking at him after seeing all that
- 13:51pull my flavor out.
- 13:54Sure.
- 13:55Okay.
- 13:57Fantastic.
- 13:59Awesome.
- 13:59Um, not sure if the rest of.
- 14:01You guys are taking yeah, I'll eat
- 14:03it.
- 14:04Always in the mood.
- 14:05All right, Julian's going to reach into his pocket and he's going
- 14:08to pull something out. And then as he reaches to grab the
- 14:11treat out of the hat, he goes oh, this one's for
- 14:13you. And then he holds out a voucher
- 14:16for a Cracker
- 14:19Barrel.
- 14:19He says trade.
- 14:21And he grabs the ice cream bar out of it, and he hands the
- 14:24voucher to Dilly Dunker.
- 14:26Dilly, uh, Dunker just kind of, like, holds out his hat, like, put
- 14:28it, tosses it in.
- 14:30Ah. All right.
- 14:31Never really had a trade before, but.
- 14:33Sounds good to me. All right. Puts a hat back on. He
- 14:35says, Well, I'm not much for idle
- 14:38chatter.
- 14:39Let's get this thing started. And just starts
- 14:41walking back towards the door.
- 14:45I guess we're following
- 14:48the other two. They also look kind of awkward.
- 14:50Uh, Donna. Uh, she goes, Is that
- 14:53seriously, that's it fine. And she kind of
- 14:56runs after as well. You, um, guys all step into
- 14:58the sort of lobby area of the satisfactory, and
- 15:01the giant doors close behind
- 15:04you. There's, um, nobody in here at the reception,
- 15:07uh, area. It, uh, seems almost
- 15:09eerily quiet and empty.
- 15:11And he says, all right, I'm not much
- 15:14first introductions, uh, but I'm told it is
- 15:17polite and good to do them, so we'll start things
- 15:20off. Who, uh, are you exactly?
- 15:23Oh, my, uh, name's Julian, partner.
- 15:26Oh, all right. Fantastic.
- 15:28That's all I really need to know.
- 15:29Check that off the list.
- 15:30And he pulls out, like, a little checklist, and he checks your
- 15:33name off the list.
- 15:34All right. And what about you?
- 15:36Um, name's Karen O'mulligan.
- 15:38Karen O'mulligan. All right. Check that one off the list. Fantastic. What about
- 15:41you?
- 15:41Hi, I'm Philip Dipple.
- 15:43Philip Dipple. Fantastic. I'm going to check that one off the list,
- 15:46all right? And then the other two of you. Um, my name is
- 15:49Donna. I'm the daughter of Daphne. Uh, I didn't ask.
- 15:52I'm just going to check you off the list.
- 15:54And then, uh, finally the other little boy goes, the name's
- 15:56Hogan.
- 15:57Hogan Dos. All right. Good. Fantastic.
- 16:00Shorter words. Wonderful.
- 16:02All right, follow me.
- 16:03And he just starts to lead you guys off again.
- 16:05I guess if you have any questions, you can feel free to ask me,
- 16:08but, um, let's just get this thing started, and it's probably the
- 16:11better way to do this. Oh, by the way, uh, as we're doing this
- 16:14tour, if you wouldn't mind.
- 16:16Try, uh, to come up with, like.
- 16:17Uh, what ice cream that you would invent. Uh,
- 16:20there's sort of a taste at the end. Uh, it's written,
- 16:23actually. It's presentation. We'll go with presentation.
- 16:26And, uh, as he kind of walks down there, uh, Don
- 16:29obviously leans over to one of you guys and goes.
- 16:30I didn't know that there was going to be, like, homework.
- 16:32Seems unfair.
- 16:33What is this? Cool.
- 16:35Um, he leads you guys into, uh, a
- 16:38very large and sprawling gift shop.
- 16:40And he says, I want to welcome each and every one of you
- 16:43to one of the most useless pieces of my
- 16:46entire satisfactory. As you can
- 16:49tell, nobody's ever used this spot before. Because
- 16:52we don't allow guests in here at the satisfactory. But,
- 16:54uh, enjoy the fact that you guys get to be the first
- 16:57people to step inside and purchase whatever
- 17:00you want. With that being said, I will allow you
- 17:03to take one thing that you want from this
- 17:06gift shop for free.
- 17:08And you guys kind of look around and you see all kinds of just
- 17:11the classic things that you would see in a typical gift
- 17:13shop. There's greeting cards and shot
- 17:16glasses and mugs and
- 17:19magnets and just about everything else.
- 17:21And napkin rings.
- 17:22There are napkin rings?
- 17:24Nice.
- 17:25Then that's what I'm I'm
- 17:28going to glove up, look for some
- 17:31that don't have defects or any marring or
- 17:34anything.
- 17:34Okay, fantastic. So, uh, one of
- 17:37Philip's items that he has is a pair of very nice
- 17:40white, pristine gloves. And you
- 17:42put those on and you approach these napkin rings.
- 17:45Um, Dilly Dunker kind of walks up behind you and he says, yeah,
- 17:48they're.
- 17:48Originally for napkins, but I found they work phenomenally
- 17:51as cone holders.
- 17:54As you kind of inspect them, you notice they're all in
- 17:57pristine condition. The only thing is they're a little
- 18:00bit dusty because gift shop has been completely
- 18:03unused for who knows how many years. They've had it,
- 18:05quote, unquote, open. Um, so that's really the only
- 18:08issue with any of them. But otherwise,
- 18:11no defects, no marks, no scratches,
- 18:14nothing else.
- 18:16Can I just have one or can I have two?
- 18:18Well, I guess nobody's going to buy.
- 18:20Them, so I guess you can have.
- 18:21Two if you really want because I can store two. One in each glove in my backpack,
- 18:24so they'll be safe.
- 18:25All right, fine. Yeah, have it.
- 18:29All right.
- 18:29What about the rest of you? If you guys have any questions about anything else
- 18:32that might be in here, feel free to ask.
- 18:34Uh, any ice cream themed checkerboards.
- 18:37Um, yeah, there's one of those. Um, it's
- 18:40the classic staple at a cracker,
- 18:43um, barrel, which is the little peg checker. Yeah,
- 18:46it's one of those. Except instead of like, just regular pegs, of course they're
- 18:49ice cream.
- 18:50Huh.
- 18:52Set I grabbed that sounds good.
- 18:55Um, awesome. You take one of those jumping over
- 18:58to, uh, Kieran.
- 19:00Um, he's going to actually as the
- 19:03other four walking around.
- 19:06Mr.
- 19:06Uh, dunker, sir. Yeah,
- 19:10I'm not really one to just grab a lot
- 19:12of souvenirs, but, uh, there was one
- 19:15thing. I was hoping to maybe get a picture
- 19:18with your dog, Fido. And
- 19:21he's going to pull out the carton
- 19:24that he just handed out. Like, um, he's
- 19:27the face of Kit Kat cookie dough.
- 19:29Oh, okay.
- 19:30Um kit kat patty whack Give a
- 19:33dog some dough.
- 19:34Nice. Yeah, that's a little slogan that's on
- 19:37this.
- 19:37Ah, yeah.
- 19:38Um, it's my little sister's favorite flavor.
- 19:41And she just loves the look of your dog. I was wondering if I could
- 19:44get a picture with him, if he's even.
- 19:46Here at the factory.
- 19:48Um, yes,
- 19:51that'll actually be later in the tour. We'll go to
- 19:54the animal, uh, let's call it the
- 19:56bestiary is kind of what I've termed it.
- 19:59Uh, which seems like an OD thing to have in an ice
- 20:02cream factory.
- 20:03But I assure you there's good reason for it.
- 20:05Um, yeah, we can absolutely get that later. What
- 20:08would you like in the meantime?
- 20:11Uh, what's around the exactly. It's
- 20:14actually been years, personally, since I've been in even a gift shop.
- 20:16Yeah, no, that's fair. Um, okay, so like I said, there's a lot of
- 20:19the generic stuff. You've got your mugs and your, uh, water
- 20:22bottles. They even have, like, umbrellas, scented
- 20:25candles, gloves, socks, scarves, ties.
- 20:28He's just going to look for a sweatshirt.
- 20:31Okay.
- 20:31Yeah, absolutely.
- 20:32One for his size.
- 20:34Yeah, it's a little dilly dunkers one. It's got dilly dunker
- 20:37on it. And he's, like, raising his staff. There's probably one for each of
- 20:39the, uh, some of the ice cream.
- 20:41Is there a more vintage looking one.
- 20:43That has oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 20:44Not his face.
- 20:45Exactly.
- 20:45But, like sure.
- 20:47Like Dilly Dunker's ice cream factory.
- 20:49Yeah, but like a retro.
- 20:51Ah. Depending on how old this gift shop
- 20:54is, they might all be vintage.
- 20:56They might all be vintage.
- 20:57Well, actually, so, interestingly enough, um, you grab
- 21:00yours out of a clearance section, which is even
- 21:03doubly ironic, because it's like, no one in here shops, so
- 21:06whenever they just swap out old stuff, they just shove it in
- 21:09a clearance. It's a massive clearance. The clearance
- 21:11section.
- 21:12The entire gift shop is the clearance section.
- 21:14Yeah, exactly.
- 21:15It has to be vintage. They have napkin rings.
- 21:18Everything does have to be also, you said
- 21:2150th anniversary of Dilly Dunker.
- 21:24Right.
- 21:24Dilly Dunker isn't middle aged then, is he?
- 21:27Uh, yeah, I guess he would be a little bit later than that.
- 21:29That's true.
- 21:29He's probably in his 60s.
- 21:30Yeah, because I'm like, wow, do people really just
- 21:33live that long?
- 21:34Awesome.
- 21:36That's the power of ice cream.
- 21:37The power of ice cream is the power of the fact that he started his
- 21:40business 50 years ago. So it was like a shoe in to
- 21:42succeed.
- 21:44Fair enough.
- 21:44You can start a business young. Back in the day, it was pretty easy, but
- 21:47whatever the case, he says, awesome.
- 21:49Uh, all right. Fantastic. Thank you all.
- 21:51Uh oh, actually, let me get to, uh, what the
- 21:54other two take. Uh, so Hogan Dos,
- 21:57uh, he grabs a Dilly Dunker action
- 22:00figure, and he says, cool,
- 22:03and that's about it. Um, Donna, on the other hand, she's
- 22:06going through anything that you can wear. She's
- 22:09trying to pick, and she's going through
- 22:12the hoodies and the jacket. All the new ones, though, she doesn't go over to
- 22:15the clearance section.
- 22:16Of course.
- 22:16She's looking at the, uh, keychains, trying to find
- 22:19something that would work. She's got, like, a backpack with a whole bunch of
- 22:22various little charms and stickers and all kinds of other stuff.
- 22:25On there.
- 22:25And finally, she does settle on a little keychain of
- 22:28a, uh, it looks like almost
- 22:31like a little crocodile, but its body is
- 22:34like the shape of a little taco, uh, shell. And you
- 22:37realize it's a choco croco.
- 22:39Choco croco.
- 22:40There we go. A choco croco. And he ah,
- 22:43that's ironic.
- 22:44Um, that's all he says.
- 22:45Very mysterious and strange. But anyways, uh, he
- 22:48says, all right, on we go.
- 22:50And as he leads you guys on, you guys come
- 22:52across. Uh, there's sort of like a loud noise in
- 22:55the background as you guys move over towards the next room.
- 22:57And he says, all right, we're meant to go into what I call the
- 23:00mint. It's where we print our mint. As you guys know,
- 23:03we're pretty famous for our mint flavored ice creams. This is where
- 23:06it comes from. I do ask, Please
- 23:09do not touch the mint. It is not for
- 23:12consumption. Anyways, let's go
- 23:14in.
- 23:15So he steps inside, and sure enough, inside there is a
- 23:18massive series of different
- 23:21what's the word I'm looking for conveyor belts and machines.
- 23:24And as you guys watch, you guys see these
- 23:27mint leaves. Um, like a whole plant almost. And
- 23:30it kind of goes into one machine, comes out the other, where all
- 23:33the leaves are kind of like nicely set out on the conveyor belt.
- 23:36Goes over to another section. They get kind of pressed and
- 23:39squeezed into a drier material. Um,
- 23:42continue on from there and squeeze the juices out of it,
- 23:45move on from there. There's like two separate ones now.
- 23:48So you got the thing that's processing the mint
- 23:50extract, and then you've got the rest of the plant that's being
- 23:53processed as well. Um, and he says.
- 23:58I love mint ice cream. And so I was trying to
- 24:01find the absolute most delicious mint
- 24:03plant on the planet.
- 24:05And eventually I was able to find one way out in the
- 24:08forests of.
- 24:09I'm not going to say, um, it's kind of a very big
- 24:12secret, but whatever the case, it only grows every hundred years.
- 24:15So instead of waiting for more to grow, I came up with my own
- 24:18cloning process and printers that can make copies of it.
- 24:21So that's what you're seeing going on here. You can see the plants are being
- 24:23cloned over here. Then they go through a process where I can
- 24:26print out the leaves afterwards. It's pretty
- 24:29cool. Uh, it's copyrighted.
- 24:31Please.
- 24:31Again, these are very valuable mint leaves. Do
- 24:34not take them. Moving on.
- 24:36And he starts to lead you guys to the next room. Is there anything you guys would
- 24:39want to do in here?
- 24:40It reminds me of my mint gum I have in
- 24:43my backpack.
- 24:44Okay.
- 24:45So, uh, I get this craving
- 24:48for mint. Just pop out a mint piece of
- 24:51gum and slap it in my mouth.
- 24:53All right.
- 24:53And, uh, I offer it to anyone else as we're
- 24:56walking. I say, hey, anyone want M mint
- 24:59gum?
- 24:59And Hogan says, okay.
- 25:02And so when I go to hand him one, I also hand him a
- 25:05voucher as well.
- 25:09What's cloning?
- 25:10I've never heard of uh,
- 25:13that that's.
- 25:14A little bit of a isn't it like a
- 25:16Sci-Fi thing?
- 25:18It's like copying someone's homework.
- 25:22So it's like that episode when there were two gilligans on the
- 25:24island.
- 25:25Yeah, like that.
- 25:29What's a gilligan?
- 25:32What's cloning? What's a gilligan? Man, the way we got
- 25:35here, right?
- 25:36It's one of the most noble and heroic characters of modern
- 25:38television.
- 25:41What television are you watching?
- 25:43Uh, my mom wasn't in it, so.
- 25:44I have no I doubt it.
- 25:46Okay, honey boo boo. Quietly.
- 25:49Excuse me.
- 25:51He's just going to glare at her.
- 25:54Yeah. Roll me a, um, let's do
- 25:57Braun.
- 25:58Braun.
- 25:59Okay. Yeah.
- 26:00Um, first roll. Let's go.
- 26:01There we go. Yeah, we're getting some rolls in.
- 26:03That would be a four.
- 26:05Ah, a four. Okay. She just kind of rolls her
- 26:08eyes at you and walks away. She doesn't seem particularly
- 26:10intimidated. Um, but you do get one of
- 26:13these. These are
- 26:15adversity tokens.
- 26:16Yes.
- 26:17So whenever you guys fail at doing something that
- 26:20you have to roll for, you, uh, will get an adversity token. These
- 26:22tokens can be used to give you a plus one on a future roll. They can
- 26:25also be used to help one of your other
- 26:28teammates out if you choose to have them as teammates, I
- 26:31guess you could say. Um, but whatever the case, uh, it's kind of a
- 26:34nice little mechanic to know about going forward. But
- 26:36anyways, back to the mint. You guys are kind of starting to walk
- 26:39towards the door. Any last second things or are we moving on to the next
- 26:42room?
- 26:43I am only out of game. I'm a little concerned
- 26:46that neither of us breaks anything being clumsy
- 26:49walking through this mint forest.
- 26:51Yeah, there's two of us.
- 26:52Are you both clumsy?
- 26:53Oh, no.
- 26:54Okay, we're going to trip on each other.
- 26:58Um, let's have you guys roll.
- 27:00Oh, already?
- 27:01I was going to say, since you brought it up, let's have you guys roll
- 27:04charm to, uh, see if you're able to kind of push through
- 27:07your clumsiness. Roll a
- 27:09214, you got a 14.
- 27:13Philip, um, you easily walk, uh, out of there admiring,
- 27:16uh, the interesting brand new technologies
- 27:19that you have now, um, learned about.
- 27:22But, um, on the other hand, Julian, as, uh, you are
- 27:24looking at some things, ah, tell me about what it
- 27:27is that causes you to kind of have a clumsy moment.
- 27:30I'm trying to hand out more gum to more
- 27:33people. Yeah, I'm offering it to more people, but no one seems to
- 27:36be taking it. And I'm trying to offer it to that
- 27:38Donna chick. She's just flat up ignoring me and I
- 27:41trip.
- 27:42Okay, you trip and you fall into Donna, who
- 27:45also falls and bumps into one of the machines,
- 27:48and all of a sudden, everything just shuts
- 27:50down. It's almost like. She hit some kind of kill, uh,
- 27:54switch or something like that. All the machines in the whole
- 27:57room just kind of freeze up. And Dilly turns around and he
- 27:59says.
- 28:00What have you done?
- 28:02Julian's going to just back up and
- 28:07put up his hand, and, uh, he's going to point behind his hand at.
- 28:10Donna.
- 28:13Do another charm. He
- 28:15goes wrong
- 28:18hand. You hold up your hand
- 28:21and then you point, but you realize that you're just pointing right back at
- 28:24yourself to yourself.
- 28:26And he says,
- 28:29I'm not mad, I'm just
- 28:31disappointed.
- 28:32And he just, like, taps the machine and everything restarts up
- 28:35again.
- 28:36I hold up the gum to him.
- 28:41Uh, so he kind of looks at your gum and he leans down, and
- 28:44with, uh, his big thin
- 28:46nose, he kind of gives it a sniff and.
- 28:48He says, Nah, I'm good.
- 28:51And then he reaches over and he takes a mint leaf off the
- 28:53conveyor belt and just pops it in his.
- 28:55Mouth and he says, way better.
- 28:57Have you ever thought about making, uh, mint m gum
- 29:00with your mint?
- 29:02I like your thinking, kid. And for that, I'm
- 29:05not disappointed anymore. Oh, look at that.
- 29:08Things are coming up.
- 29:09Julian all right, to the next
- 29:11room.
- 29:12Uh, okay, so you guys walk into the next room, and
- 29:15you are all surprised, because standing inside the next
- 29:18room is, uh, two strange creatures that
- 29:21you've never seen before in your life. Um, one of
- 29:23them is a short,
- 29:26stubby little person, similar, uh, to the one that you kind
- 29:29of you wonder if it might be similar to the one that you saw outside in the
- 29:32hazmat suit. But this one is not wearing a hazmat suit. Instead,
- 29:35it's wearing, uh, sort of like a barber shop
- 29:38style, um, apron and
- 29:41some just really basic, like, T shirt and jeans kind
- 29:44of a thing. Um, but the thing that throws you
- 29:47off is he a is, uh,
- 29:49balding and has little antennae looking ear
- 29:52things coming out of his head. Uh, secondly, he's
- 29:55kind of an almost purplish pink tone of
- 29:58skin. And thirdly, he
- 30:01has some tentacles that are coming out
- 30:04instead of arms. Um, he looks at you guys and.
- 30:07Goes,
- 30:11what is that?
- 30:11Old holy creation?
- 30:14All right, you guys have probably never seen these. All right, so
- 30:17fantastic time to introduce this, uh, is one of
- 30:20my, uh, I call them the Scoop Troop.
- 30:23Um, they're of a, uh, species that's not
- 30:26of this world. Long, uh, story short, I met
- 30:28them.
- 30:29Um, made a deal.
- 30:30Uh, now the government kind of has.
- 30:31A deal with them, but I was.
- 30:32There first, and so I'm kind of.
- 30:34Like the mediator between them.
- 30:35I'm like the Earth representative in a.
- 30:37Wait, sorry, Mr. M. Duncan, you're saying
- 30:40that you have aliens?
- 30:43Oh, yeah, pretty much.
- 30:45Oh, cool.
- 30:46Yeah, they're really nice guys.
- 30:48Do you like mint gum? Um,
- 30:51walk over and offer it.
- 30:53It just kind of looks at it.
- 30:54Goes, uh, and it reaches out with its tentacle, and it
- 30:57takes it, but it doesn't take the wrapper off. It just kind of pops it in its mouth, and
- 31:00he goes.
- 31:04And goes.
- 31:05Over to a garbage can and spits it out.
- 31:08Guess they don't like meat gum. You got to try. Yeah,
- 31:11that's right.
- 31:12And as you guys are talking, all of a sudden, the, uh, second
- 31:15strange creature comes walking into this room. It, uh,
- 31:18is a hairy, white puffy
- 31:21ball, is pretty much all it is. You, uh, can just barely
- 31:24make out some eyes from underneath all the just, like,
- 31:26fuziness that's coming off of it. And it comes in
- 31:29just very, uh, matter of fact, and it just
- 31:32plops down into the barber chair that's inside of this room. There's a
- 31:35nice mirror. This, uh, whole place just looks like a little barber shop,
- 31:38right? Just plops down in this chair. The little scoop
- 31:41troop guy, he comes walking over, and he grabs a pair of
- 31:43scissors and a comb, and he immediately starts
- 31:46to comb through and snip out all of this fuz
- 31:49until eventually, this thing has been completely
- 31:52shaved of the fuzz and is now, uh,
- 31:55just kind of like just kind of like a
- 31:58circular creature. Kind of just looks like
- 32:00a white ball with arms and legs,
- 32:03and it's got these big, intimidating eyes and big mouth, and it
- 32:06just goes and then it walks over
- 32:09to one specific door. Uh, so there's three doors in this room. There's the
- 32:12door that you guys came in. There's the door to the next room, and then there's a door
- 32:15over off to the side. He walks up to the other side, opens up
- 32:18the door, and walks in. And as he opens this door,
- 32:21a massive gust of absolutely freezing air
- 32:24comes flying in for just a moment before the door gets closed
- 32:26again.
- 32:27Um, and he says, now, you're probably scared.
- 32:30I understand it was a bit of a throw off for me as
- 32:33well. But I assure you that was a snow clone,
- 32:36and they are completely harmless unless you
- 32:39upset them, so don't do that. Cool.
- 32:42You said clone again. Are you saying that, uh, it's
- 32:44just everything here is a clone of
- 32:47something?
- 32:48Well, not everything, but we do do a lot of cloning. It's a lot
- 32:51more, uh, of a cheap but also
- 32:53environmentally safe process.
- 32:56I'm going to look at Philip and go, Ever seen Star Trek?
- 33:00Of course I have Clonings in
- 33:03Star Trek.
- 33:04I'm going to go over and open that door for a minute
- 33:07in an effort to fight off my profuse.
- 33:12Right.
- 33:12Fantastic.
- 33:13Uh, I could use a cold blast.
- 33:15Yes. Oh, sure. Okay.
- 33:17Um, as you're walking towards it, uh,
- 33:21dilly, uh, Dunker says, I wouldn't do.
- 33:23That if I was you.
- 33:24And you reach for the handle, and you open up the door. I'm going to need you to
- 33:27roll. I'm going to do grit.
- 33:32Two a.
- 33:33Two all right, I'm going to give you an adversity token. Um,
- 33:35a cold breeze, absolutely freezing, comes
- 33:38flying at you just as it does, um,
- 33:43uh, the little scoop troop guy, he reaches
- 33:45over and grabs you and pulls you back. But as he does, you
- 33:48have basically been almost completely frozen
- 33:51the entire front section of you, um,
- 33:54with one hand or one tentacle, I guess, he pulls you back with the other
- 33:57tentacle. He slams the door shut, and, uh,
- 34:01Dilly Dunker says, yeah, it's
- 34:04ridiculously cold.
- 34:05Inside of the Ever Freeze Facility. Um,
- 34:08not really safe for mere, uh.
- 34:10Mortals to go inside of.
- 34:11It's pretty much just for the snow clones.
- 34:14Cool.
- 34:16We'll give him a moment to melt.
- 34:18And as you guys kind of wait for, uh,
- 34:21Philip to melt back down to normal,
- 34:24um, you see a few other snow clone beasts kind of
- 34:27come in and get their hair shaved, their fluff shaved.
- 34:29Can I grab, uh this is a barbershop,
- 34:32right?
- 34:33Yeah.
- 34:33I'm going to see if there's, uh, on the shelf there's probably a
- 34:36hairdryer.
- 34:37Sure.
- 34:37So I grab it. I go to go warm up
- 34:40philip yeah, okay.
- 34:41Yeah, that kind of helps out. Um, Hogan also does
- 34:44the oh, okay. And he goes
- 34:47and grabs a hairdryer as well and gets the other side. So you got two people,
- 34:50like, just kind of melting you.
- 34:51I'll be half covered in sweat and half frozen.
- 34:54The sweat's probably what helped to freeze you over.
- 34:58Awesome.
- 34:59Fantastic.
- 35:00Soon be fully covered in sweat, he
- 35:02says.
- 35:04Um, as you guys are watching, um, after enough of these beasts
- 35:07have kind of come through and you guys finally finish melting, uh,
- 35:09out, philip and the beasts go into their Ever Freeze room,
- 35:12or whatever the case. You see the, uh, little scoop troop guys start
- 35:15to sweep up all the frozen, uh,
- 35:18fuzz that has come off of these creatures. And he takes it
- 35:21over to a, uh, special canister that he props
- 35:24open with his foot and he dumps them all in. And then
- 35:27Dilly, uh, says, ah, we'll.
- 35:28Probably want to see this. Follow me.
- 35:30And he walks over. And there's a facility that kind of
- 35:33there's like a window or whatever that kind of shows into the facility. And
- 35:36you watch as the fluff is kind of run down
- 35:39a conveyor belt onto a series of other conveyor belts and
- 35:42machines. And it is essentially pressed
- 35:45into a familiar treat that you guys recognize,
- 35:47or maybe not Philip, but everybody else
- 35:49recognizes as what are called freeze
- 35:52Daddies, which are sort of like if you took a
- 35:55snow cone and turned it into a solid ice, um,
- 35:58cream, like fruit pop, right. And they all come in
- 36:01different snow cone traditional flavors, right. And,
- 36:04um, so that's what these are being turned into. So now you know
- 36:07where that comes from, I guess, essentially. So he
- 36:09says, yeah, that's pretty much.
- 36:11How we make our freeze Daddies. Um,
- 36:14yeah, I don't know if any of you are into it.
- 36:16And Hogan says, oh, I like all of them.
- 36:19All the flavors.
- 36:21Oh, that's very nice, Hogan.
- 36:24I'm going to say, watch this, Donna, and eat a
- 36:27raw one.
- 36:28Did you just pick up, like, a chunk off of Floyd? I'm trying to
- 36:31impress her. Yeah, do a
- 36:33charm roll.
- 36:35He wants to make up for that freezer incident.
- 36:38Uh, it's a ten.
- 36:39She goes, is it good?
- 36:43It's amazing.
- 36:45And then she reaches down and she grabs one, too. She's like,
- 36:48I normally don't eat stuff.
- 36:49Off the floor, but, I mean, it's
- 36:52safe, right? It's a sanitary factory.
- 36:54And she takes a nibble and she's.
- 36:55Like, it's kind of plain, needs flavor
- 36:58and dilly's. Like, well, we can get you some flavor
- 37:01right over here.
- 37:02And he's, uh, got a series of just little syrups,
- 37:05like, in kind of almost like those little ketchup bottles that you see at, like,
- 37:08old diners and stuff like that. They're, um, all different
- 37:11colors other than red, which is normally the ketchup, or
- 37:14yellow that's normally the mustard. And he's like, feel free to try.
- 37:16Whichever one you want.
- 37:17And you guys are kind of just left there with
- 37:20a massive series of flavors to choose from.
- 37:23What are the flavors exactly?
- 37:25They're not marked. It's, uh, just colored.
- 37:29I want to try the purple.
- 37:31Purple.
- 37:31All right. You grab a handful of the stuff
- 37:34off the floor. You pour a little bit of purple on there, you take a nibble, and
- 37:37it tastes like grape.
- 37:40I'm not a fan of grape. I don't know why I went for purple.
- 37:43So what do you do with it once you're like, gross.
- 37:46I hold, uh, it out and offer it to the tentacle
- 37:49guy.
- 37:50And he goes he just
- 37:52tastes it.
- 37:53And he pops it in his mouth.
- 37:54I'm going to try the
- 37:57yellow one.
- 37:58The yellow one, um, you taste the yellow one
- 38:01and it tastes like that
- 38:03questionable fake banana flavor.
- 38:05Okay.
- 38:11Oh, don't worry. It's banana
- 38:13dilly.
- 38:14Dunker is watching you guys as your face is kind of contort, and
- 38:17he's, hmm m. Yeah.
- 38:19What's the best flavor?
- 38:21I like strawberry, personally. Is that
- 38:24red? Ah, it's like the pinkish red.
- 38:26I'll try that then.
- 38:27All right.
- 38:28It's pretty good.
- 38:31Is there any citrus?
- 38:32Sure. We got orange. Uh, we got blood
- 38:35orange, which we call tigers.
- 38:37I'll try the orange.
- 38:38Yeah.
- 38:39Do you want the blood orange?
- 38:41It's regular.
- 38:42Regular orange gives you the regular orange. And
- 38:45it kind of has that, like, um, sort
- 38:48of that powdery orange taste to it. I
- 38:51guess you could say kind of like almost like when they try to do orange with, like,
- 38:53medicine.
- 38:54So fake orange?
- 38:55Yeah, fake orange flavor. He's like,
- 38:58I'll really insist the blood.
- 39:00Orange is way better. But
- 39:03you wanted the orange, so I gave you the orange.
- 39:05I got to save space for the next batch of treats.
- 39:08Fair enough.
- 39:09Is this a whole new experience for you.
- 39:12Yeah, that's true.
- 39:14There's sugar in it.
- 39:15Yeah.
- 39:16And there is or at least in the syrup.
- 39:19I do have to ask, uh, prior
- 39:22to this was the only ice cream Philip have ever
- 39:24seen the special treats that his grandma would bring him,
- 39:27or did he know other frozen treats existed?
- 39:30No, I've only had the sugar free.
- 39:31Citrus popsicles full on
- 39:34shutting other flavors.
- 39:36Awesome.
- 39:38So when you saw other ice creams in, like, old time shows, you were
- 39:40just like, oh, part of the fiction.
- 39:43Well, uh, we just weren't allowed those. Grandma had a lot of rules.
- 39:46Yeah, that's right.
- 39:47Maybe a few too many.
- 39:49Maybe a few too many. Um,
- 39:52you guys watch, uh, Donna, she just gets,
- 39:54like, probably a cherry, which is
- 39:57the super deep red color, right? And she's just kind of
- 40:00nibbling on that. Uh, Hogan, on the other hand,
- 40:03he kind of, like, makes almost a hot dog shape out
- 40:06of the fluff. And what he does is he just starts
- 40:09taking a different syrup and he puts a little bit on a spot, and
- 40:12then a little bit on a spot, and then a little bit on a spot, and he just starts eating them.
- 40:15Um, and he's going through and he just takes, like, a bite. And he's like, m.
- 40:18Kiwi takes another bite.
- 40:21Pineapple.
- 40:21M takes another bite.
- 40:23M apple.
- 40:26And this is pretty much you really know your
- 40:29flavors.
- 40:31Yeah, pretty much.
- 40:32I don't know what's going to happen to you first, a, uh,
- 40:35sugar rush or a cardiac arrest.
- 40:39What's that?
- 40:41Which one?
- 40:42The second one.
- 40:44Uh, your heart's going to stop.
- 40:48Why?
- 40:49I don't know.
- 40:49Too m much sugar.
- 40:50Is that a thing?
- 40:51Yeah.
- 40:53Okay.
- 40:55Julian's shaking his head.
- 41:00No, don't listen to this one. I'm older.
- 41:02All right, you guys roll opposing charm.
- 41:06Ten.
- 41:08Uh, seven.
- 41:09All right, well, I'll give you an adversity token.
- 41:12He goes, you're funny,
- 41:15choreograph rest only
- 41:18exists with, uh, cops.
- 41:23I am going to just.
- 41:28Anyway, let's head into the next room.
- 41:31I think you guys are going to really enjoy it's. Pretty much like
- 41:34the coolest thing in the entire factory.
- 41:36Maybe.
- 41:37Probably. I think so.
- 41:38And he takes you into the next room and in very Willy
- 41:41Wonka fashion. And I probably shouldn't reference that as I'm coming
- 41:44up with this again. Everything's inspired by Willy Wonka. I'm
- 41:47not doing Willy Wonka the Chalk Factory. But with that being
- 41:50said, the next room that you walk into, the entire
- 41:52room, everything inside of it is some
- 41:55form of frozen treat or ice cream
- 41:58cone or something to that effect.
- 42:01Right. It's just like, uh, an entire
- 42:04forest scenery. You've got ice cream cone bushes,
- 42:07chocolate trees dot the landscape with fruit
- 42:10and toppings scattered amongst the branches. Shaved
- 42:13ice snow of every flavor covers the floor.
- 42:15Fudge fountains jut from the ground, and a gelato
- 42:18geyser spouts the Italian treat high into the
- 42:21air. At the far end of the room, you see a river filled
- 42:24with soda and tufts of ice cream of every
- 42:27flavor float down that carbonated flow into
- 42:30a tunnel in the distance.
- 42:32Well, this is what I call the
- 42:35creamery kingdom. And this is where
- 42:38majority of the magic happens, you see? Whereas
- 42:41other factories will milk cows for
- 42:43cream, and they'll do all kinds of other chemically
- 42:46things to process their ice cream treats, we
- 42:49just grow it here.
- 42:51So that's how ice cream is made.
- 42:54Our ice creams made.
- 42:57You keep saying all this stuff. You're
- 43:00saying first you clone
- 43:02stuff.
- 43:03Uh huh.
- 43:04You genetically modify creatures to then
- 43:07clone again. Now you're saying you can just grow
- 43:10ice cream.
- 43:10That's
- 43:13right.
- 43:14Is that a tree made of out of ice cream?
- 43:17That is a tree made out of chocolate.
- 43:19See, it's got some ice cream stuff coming off of it.
- 43:22See, how can you say he's not growing stuff when there's a
- 43:25tree made out of chocolate?
- 43:26Right over there. What? Ah, are trees made
- 43:30of chocolate?
- 43:32That one is.
- 43:33When was the last time you went outside of, uh, this?
- 43:36Well, typically, they made out of
- 43:38bark.
- 43:39Yes.
- 43:39That is most trees.
- 43:41This is not there's a
- 43:44tree in my parents cracker, uh, barrel shop made
- 43:47out of candy. Uh, it's a
- 43:49candy tree.
- 43:50So it's just a piece of wood.
- 43:52That has candy stuff?
- 43:53Correct.
- 43:54And rock candy. Like a little
- 43:57stand.
- 43:57That's pretty good. That's pretty raspberry flavor.
- 43:59All kinds.
- 44:01Fantastic. Well, if you head over to one of the chocolate trees I've
- 44:03got here, you'll find out that there is no
- 44:06form of wood or bark or anything inside.
- 44:09It's just well, actually, there is bark.
- 44:11It's a chocolate bark, of course. Um, but
- 44:14inside, it's just a nice, tasty, uh,
- 44:17softer chocolate materials.
- 44:18Got any brownie bits anywhere?
- 44:20Oh, sure.
- 44:21Try the leaves on the trees.
- 44:23They're brownie flavored.
- 44:24They're brownies.
- 44:26Uh, yeah. Kieran's just going to head over to one of
- 44:29the shorter trees and just.
- 44:32Pick a few leaves, and they taste
- 44:35like brownies.
- 44:35Some of them have M m's inside.
- 44:37Some of them have chocolate chips inside.
- 44:39Uh, he's gonna try to pick the ones that are just pure
- 44:42brownie.
- 44:42Oh, okay, sure. Yeah.
- 44:43There's just some straight brownie ones. As he's
- 44:46just biting into them one at a time, he's going
- 44:49to grab a few and try to
- 44:52sneak it away.
- 44:53Oh, okay.
- 44:53Nobody's, um, stopping you.
- 44:55He's like, yeah, have free rain. Oh,
- 44:57thanks. Um, you also notice that scattered about and I'll
- 45:00definitely check with you two about what you're doing, but you also notice scattered about, you see,
- 45:03uh, more of those little scoop troop guys, and they
- 45:06all in their tentacled hands have, like, ice cream scoops or like,
- 45:09those things that they use at cold stones, the spades or whatever
- 45:12they call them.
- 45:13The ones that you yeah.
- 45:15Chop up the ice cream, mix it all together, and they're just, like, harvesting.
- 45:18So they've got little containers, and they're, like, scooping things
- 45:21off of the bush or off of the ground
- 45:24or whatever the case, and they're just kind of harvesting the
- 45:27various ice, uh, cream and frozen treats. But what are you guys kind
- 45:30of drawn to?
- 45:31Well, what exactly is the river made out of? And can
- 45:34I sample it?
- 45:35Yeah, absolutely. It seems to be some kind of.
- 45:38Uh well, then I'm going to be like, donna, watch.
- 45:44This and lean down.
- 45:45There and try to drink some.
- 45:46Okay.
- 45:47What kind of soda?
- 45:49Um, we'll find out in a minute.
- 45:55Yeah, let's do I want to say, like,
- 45:58a brawn to see if you can kind of, like, hold on and
- 46:01not fall in.
- 46:02It's, uh, a three.
- 46:03It is a three. Um,
- 46:06sure enough, you slip and slide into
- 46:08the soda as you're drinking from
- 46:11it, how deep is it? Um, well, you
- 46:14don't go to the bottom, but you also don't feel the
- 46:17bottom.
- 46:17How fast is it?
- 46:18It's not moving too fast. Yeah.
- 46:21Um, um, I prefer if you didn't do it
- 46:24that way. Uh, excuse me, could
- 46:27you come it all flows downstream, so that's
- 46:29good. But you kind of contaminated everything up until
- 46:32this point. Um, excuse me.
- 46:35Uh, during the chaos out of my backpack, I'm going
- 46:37to pull out, like, a little lunchbox and
- 46:40start trying to pick some more stuff while they're not.
- 46:43You'Re just loading, like I'm loading up
- 46:47specific.
- 46:47Okay. Okay. Interesting.
- 46:49All right, um, as you're kind of starting to float
- 46:52down the stream, what is Julian doing?
- 46:54Julian's actually standing right next to, uh, Mr.
- 46:57Dipper.
- 46:58Okay.
- 46:58Is that his name?
- 46:59Mr. Dipper? Duncan.
- 47:01Mr. Duncan.
- 47:02Mr. Dunker.
- 47:04And ah, he's saying, uh, Philip, that
- 47:07doesn't follow help code.
- 47:09Um, you should get out of there. That's not
- 47:12safe.
- 47:12Uh, Dilly kind of leans over.
- 47:13He says, trust me when I say there's a lot of things at this facility
- 47:16that don't follow the safety, uh, code.
- 47:19Freshman.
- 47:20Well, and Julian's going to turn to him and
- 47:23go, I'm a mandatory reporter for
- 47:26health violations.
- 47:28Bowls. Julian's going to pull out his
- 47:32notepad while this is happening. Philip's slowly
- 47:34going down the river.
- 47:36And yeah, obviously Dilly Dunker is chasing after him. And he
- 47:39looks over, uh, to one of the, um,
- 47:42scoop troop and he.
- 47:43Says, uh, could you grab
- 47:46something?
- 47:47And it just looks kind of like ecstatic. It throws its little
- 47:50tools on the ground and it goes rushing off. And it comes back
- 47:53with, um, one of those straws where it's sort of like
- 47:56a cookie outside and then there's like, chocolate on the inside. I don't know if there's
- 47:58like, an actual word for him, but,
- 48:01um, he brings it over and he kind of lowers it into the
- 48:04stream. I'm going to have you make,
- 48:07um, probably another brawn to
- 48:10catch onto it.
- 48:12Seven. Seven. Okay.
- 48:13Yeah, you managed to grab onto it. Start
- 48:16pulling yourself out as they kind of pull you out. You're completely
- 48:19drenched in soda at this point.
- 48:22What was the flavor of the soda?
- 48:24Uh, let's go with root beer.
- 48:26That makes sense. Delicious.
- 48:29Classic.
- 48:29You say as you get.
- 48:33Pulled, dip.
- 48:34It in some ice vanilla ice cream, you'll be good to go.
- 48:37Yes. Oh, man.
- 48:37Yeah, I should have had you, like, dodge a chunk of vanilla
- 48:40ice cream on your way, whatever, uh, the case, they're
- 48:43able to pull you out of the water.
- 48:44And he says, um, yeah, maybe we like, um, I've
- 48:47got, like, straws if you want a straw.
- 48:49And he starts handing a little curly straw to each
- 48:52of you. He's like, next know it's really long. It's like maybe
- 48:55like 3ft long.
- 48:57He's like, yeah, you can just drink know, from
- 48:59a safe distance.
- 49:02Maybe, uh, Donna donna didn't even notice this
- 49:04whole thing. She was
- 49:07over she was over picking, um, what are
- 49:10called Swiggity fruities off of
- 49:13a bush. Uh, they're actually little ice
- 49:17cream, uh, treats that are all shaped like fruits. And then, of
- 49:20course, they are the flavor of whatever that fruit is.
- 49:23So you've got, like, little strawberries that are strawberry flavored ice cream.
- 49:25You've got little grapes that taste like if you had
- 49:28frozen grapes, which is one of my personal
- 49:31favorite treats. Uh, I digress, and she looks
- 49:34over.
- 49:34And her mouth is like, stuff full. And she's like, what's going on?
- 49:37I'm m pretty sure the one Nate he calls
- 49:40himself Philip, just fell into the river trying to
- 49:43impress.
- 49:43Oh, didn't
- 49:46work. And then she goes back to eating and Dilly says,
- 49:49uh, if you've all.
- 49:50Had enough here, feel free to grab a handful
- 49:53of whatever to go. Uh, we're going to get into my
- 49:56little boat.
- 49:57And you see over there, there's like, a little paddle boat, and
- 49:59it's shaped like a big giant duck, but
- 50:02it's the chocolate duck. It's a duck fudger, of
- 50:06course. Um, it's just kind of coming down the stream
- 50:08towards you guys, and it's, uh, got one of the little
- 50:11scoop troop guys at the forefront of it that's just
- 50:14paddling away. And he looks like he's sweating, he.
- 50:17Looks.
- 50:20Exhausted, and he finally pulls up alongside of you guys.
- 50:23That's perfectly normal, and it's not worth.
- 50:25Pointing out or discussing
- 50:28his
- 50:32sweat.
- 50:33Uh, Julian, everybody sweats like
- 50:36that.
- 50:36Is that what you.
- 50:40Say?
- 50:40Julian walks over to Philip.
- 50:41He goes, you okay there,
- 50:44Philip? Just a little sticky. Was it
- 50:48good?
- 50:48It's all
- 50:51and Julian's going to grab a straw, and he's going to walk up
- 50:54a river, and he's going to see the spot where Philip
- 50:57fell in, which is a clear ice cream slide that
- 50:59was created.
- 51:01Yeah.
- 51:01And he's just going to go a little further up and then bend over and
- 51:04start drinking some.
- 51:05Sounds good. Awesome.
- 51:07Yeah, you taste it. It's a really good root beer. It's probably one of the best
- 51:10root beers you've ever had, if not the
- 51:12best crisp.
- 51:15Uh, Julian did have a question.
- 51:18The guy that the little
- 51:20scooper guy. Is he following
- 51:23us from the no.
- 51:25No, he's still in the barbershop. There's other ones here, but that
- 51:28one.
- 51:29Stuck around the barbershop. Could have Julian waved him to
- 51:31follow us?
- 51:33Uh, probably. Um, not just because he had a job he was doing. So,
- 51:36like, there were more of the snow clones that were coming in.
- 51:39Okay, yeah, he's got a job to do. Just
- 51:42like Julian's got a job to do, as he remembers.
- 51:44That's right.
- 51:45The coupons and vouchers.
- 51:46In his pocket.
- 51:47That's right.
- 51:48There you go.
- 51:49Awesome.
- 51:49Um, so as you guys all climb onto the
- 51:52little paddle boat, i, um, think we're going to close things
- 51:55out for this episode. And you guys are
- 51:58about to head into some of the more crazy
- 52:01areas of the ice Cream Satisfactory here shortly, so be
