After nearly a decade as a beloved neighborhood staple, The Brass Tap is closing its doors for good on August 31st — a heartbreaking end to a community hub that hosted trivia, comedy, and countless local gatherings. Brothers Barry and Michael Lowenthal couldn’t afford the steep rent hike demanded by their landlord for a new lease, and with rising costs and declining sales since 2022, the decision was inevitable.
