0:38
SPEAKER_02: And this is uh this is gonna be a good one.
0:39
SPEAKER_02: I want you guys to listen to this all the way through.
0:41
SPEAKER_02: It's very, very important, probably one of the most important ones we've ever had.
0:45
SPEAKER_02: Uh, Dr.
0:45
SPEAKER_02: Heather Anderson is here.
0:47
SPEAKER_02: She's a DMP, and she is uh gonna talk a little bit on peptides, healthcare, and kind of how we're building an alliance.
0:52
SPEAKER_02: And she's gonna be uh headquartered right here in uh in our office, in our facility at uh Family Office uh Society uh gym in Lake Havasu.
1:01
SPEAKER_02: And her story is really uh impressive.
1:04
SPEAKER_02: And uh and I think you guys are gonna enjoy to get to know her and kind of hear her pedigree and what she's gotten herself into and where she's from.
1:10
SPEAKER_02: And and Heather, I really appreciate you being here.
1:12
SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
1:13
SPEAKER_03: I'm excited.
1:14
SPEAKER_02: All right, let's talk.
1:14
SPEAKER_02: Uh I was pulling people's heart strings for a second.
1:16
SPEAKER_02: Let's talk a little bit about how the heck you got here.
1:18
SPEAKER_02: And you said you moved to Havasu in 2018.
1:21
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
1:21
SPEAKER_02: But let's talk about kind of the beginning stages.
1:24
SPEAKER_03: Um, originally from Kansas, born and raised, uh Midwest girl.
1:30
SPEAKER_03: I am married with five children.
1:33
SPEAKER_02: Um and you're not Mormon and you're not Catholic.
1:35
SPEAKER_03: I'm not Mormon.
1:36
SPEAKER_03: I'm not Catholic.
1:37
SPEAKER_03: No.
1:38
SPEAKER_03: Uh those are the questions we always get asked.
1:41
SPEAKER_03: Uh no, born and raised in Kansas.
1:43
SPEAKER_03: I wanted to go into healthcare my entire life.
1:47
SPEAKER_03: My journey actually started at the age of 18.
1:50
SPEAKER_03: I was a phlebotomist, uh, knew I wanted to go into nursing.
1:55
SPEAKER_03: That was kind of as far as I wanted to go.
1:57
SPEAKER_03: I just wanted to help people.
1:58
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, hard to help people.
2:00
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
2:00
SPEAKER_03: Uh, even my mom said at the age of four, I drew a picture that said, I'm gonna marry a doctor, I'm gonna have a swimming pool, and I'm gonna be a nurse.
2:07
SPEAKER_03: So do you have a swimming pool?
2:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I do.
2:10
SPEAKER_03: Accomplished, yes.
2:11
SPEAKER_03: Uh so I I do feel for a very long time it was kind of just in me.
2:16
SPEAKER_03: It was something that um was a passion and uh for a day one.
2:21
SPEAKER_03: So started off as a phobotomist, kind of integrated myself into the hospital system, knew I wanted to do more.
2:28
SPEAKER_00: Can you explain what that is just for those that don't know what that is?
2:32
SPEAKER_03: I I went around and drew blood everywhere, and I loved it because it was a challenge.
2:37
SPEAKER_03: So it was like if somebody couldn't get it, I wanted to be the one that was like, Oh go, let me go.
2:42
SPEAKER_02: Um so when you do an IV, do you hurt people or do you make it just soft handed?
2:46
SPEAKER_03: No, I feel like I'm pretty good.
2:47
SPEAKER_03: Okay, soft handed.
2:49
SPEAKER_03: All right, and I'm actually I hate getting them myself.
2:52
SPEAKER_03: Oh, not yet.
2:54
SPEAKER_03: No, and I hate getting them myself.
2:56
SPEAKER_03: So that's kind of how I practice too, right?
2:58
SPEAKER_03: Like, how do I want to be treated?
3:00
SPEAKER_03: How do I want to help people?
3:01
SPEAKER_03: So I hate getting IVs.
3:02
SPEAKER_03: I'm actually fearful of getting an IV.
3:05
SPEAKER_02: Sounds like Matt, Matt can't deal with it.
3:07
SPEAKER_03: Oh no, no, a lot of men can't actually deal with it.
3:10
SPEAKER_03: Uh so I would draw blood in the hospital, but the nice part is I got to go to every aspect of the hospital, right?
3:17
SPEAKER_03: The ER, the labor and delivery, the med surge, the oncology.
3:20
SPEAKER_03: So I got to see different elements of where um maybe I wanted to further my career.
3:27
SPEAKER_03: So enrolled into Washburn University, uh, was starting to do my prereqs for nursing and met a boy.
3:36
SPEAKER_03: And it was not my current husband, actually.
3:39
SPEAKER_03: Uh met a boy and got married actually at a very young age.
3:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh wow.
3:44
SPEAKER_03: So this is before you're 21, I'm assuming.
3:46
SPEAKER_03: I was 21, 22.
3:48
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
3:49
SPEAKER_03: So that relationship lasted about five years.
3:51
SPEAKER_03: We had two children, did not work out.
3:54
SPEAKER_02: Well, congratulations.
3:55
SPEAKER_02: That was faster.
3:56
SPEAKER_02: That was longer than my first marriage.
3:58
SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
3:58
SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
3:59
SPEAKER_03: I would say we were probably together 18 months, the whole nine months it took to have the babies, and that was about it.
4:05
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
4:05
SPEAKER_03: Uh, but ironically, it led me to the path that I'm on today and my current husband.
4:10
SPEAKER_03: So we were we were sort of all friends.
4:13
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, that marriage ended.
4:15
SPEAKER_03: Uh, we started dating.
4:17
SPEAKER_03: He embraced my children as if they were his own.
4:20
SPEAKER_03: He was uh he's actually an orthopedic surgeon, so he had not entered the med school phase yet.
4:28
SPEAKER_03: Um he was getting ready to go to med school.
4:30
SPEAKER_02: So he took you on with two kids and about to go to med school.
4:34
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and needless to say, you know, there may have been some hesitation from you know, family, friends, things like that.
4:41
SPEAKER_03: Like, what are you doing?
4:42
SPEAKER_03: Um, but we are going strong today.
4:45
SPEAKER_03: We have three kids together, five total, and actually we're stronger today than we probably were when we first met.
4:53
SPEAKER_03: What a blessing.
4:53
SPEAKER_02: So how long was how long is that now?
4:55
SPEAKER_03: Yes, uh 21 years.
4:57
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
4:58
SPEAKER_02: You guys got past the was it the seven-year itch, and then you get to the 10 years, and it's supposed to be easy and downhill from there, right?
5:03
SPEAKER_02: 10 years.
5:03
SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
5:04
SPEAKER_02: Yep.
5:04
SPEAKER_03: Um, so during this journey, uh, you know, I went to Washburn.
5:08
SPEAKER_03: I was going to uh go into nursing school, but met a boy and got married and went off to North Carolina.
5:16
SPEAKER_03: So nursing school did not happen at that time.
5:20
SPEAKER_03: Um, after that divorce, when my current husband is going into med school at um Toro University in Las Vegas.
5:29
SPEAKER_03: We lived in Kansas at the time.
5:31
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
5:31
SPEAKER_03: So he is now going there.
5:34
SPEAKER_03: I'm still in Kansas.
5:36
SPEAKER_03: We decided for that first year to be a part.
5:38
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
5:38
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
5:39
SPEAKER_01: That's hard.
5:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
5:40
SPEAKER_03: Of our relationship.
5:40
SPEAKER_03: We were not married yet.
5:42
SPEAKER_03: And I entered nursing school, but as an LPN.
5:46
SPEAKER_03: So I started from the very bottom, if you will, and worked my way up.
5:51
SPEAKER_03: So I stayed back and completed my LPN.
5:55
SPEAKER_03: Then the two kids and I moved to Las Vegas where he completed his first year of med school.
6:02
SPEAKER_03: Um, we all moved in together and I worked as an LPN in an emergency room for a couple years.
6:07
SPEAKER_03: He finished med school, then we moved to Michigan for residency.
6:13
SPEAKER_03: So you go from Las Vegas to Detroit.
6:15
SPEAKER_02: That's a whole different world.
6:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
6:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
6:17
SPEAKER_03: All I knew were all at the time was drugs and cold.
6:20
SPEAKER_03: That's all I knew.
6:20
SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh my gosh.
6:22
SPEAKER_02: Where's the eight-mile reseminum from?
6:24
SPEAKER_02: He's Detroit, isn't he?
6:25
SPEAKER_02: Yes, the eight mile.
6:25
SPEAKER_02: It's like a thing, isn't it?
6:26
SPEAKER_03: That's all yes, that's all I knew.
6:28
SPEAKER_03: So um we were not very excited, but it ended up being one of the best things that could have happened.
6:35
SPEAKER_03: We moved into a community in 2009 when the market crashed.
6:40
SPEAKER_03: Finding a house, we had a beautiful home for virtually nothing.
6:44
SPEAKER_03: Uh so timing couldn't have been better, really.
6:47
SPEAKER_03: Oh, no.
6:48
SPEAKER_03: And timing usually is always on our side, it usually works out.
6:51
SPEAKER_03: So we had um a great network of young families there.
6:55
SPEAKER_03: He was doing his residency.
6:57
SPEAKER_03: I decided to enter into our end school.
7:01
SPEAKER_03: Um, at this time we had our third child, and I was pregnant with our fourth.
7:07
SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
7:08
SPEAKER_03: So busy.
7:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so during that time.
7:11
SPEAKER_03: Um, so I entered school.
7:13
SPEAKER_03: I was working two jobs.
7:14
SPEAKER_03: Um, I was working in the ER and I was working at an OBGYN office.
7:18
SPEAKER_03: Plus, we had our four kids or three and a half.
7:21
SPEAKER_03: I was pregnant with our fourth, and he was in residency.
7:24
SPEAKER_03: Completed school, and I wasn't satisfied yet.
7:28
SPEAKER_01: I have one question for you.
7:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
7:29
SPEAKER_01: Did you ever own a van?
7:31
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
7:31
SPEAKER_03: A Kia.
7:32
SPEAKER_03: A Kia.
7:34
SPEAKER_02: Did it have two doors?
7:35
SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna lie.
7:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it would.
7:37
SPEAKER_03: I loved it.
7:38
SPEAKER_03: So the kids couldn't hit the car doors, right?
7:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's the whole reason.
7:40
SPEAKER_03: And it was just like a click.
7:42
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we had a Kia.
7:43
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I have some stories with that.
7:44
SPEAKER_02: Joe's about to get a van, too.
7:46
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
7:46
SPEAKER_02: He's got three kids.
7:47
SPEAKER_02: I think he must have another litter.
7:49
SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm not gonna lie, like this the Yukons, I would take that any day over.
7:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
7:54
SPEAKER_03: And you want a minivan?
7:55
SPEAKER_02: No, I'm joking.
7:56
SPEAKER_02: I'm just messing with David's.
7:57
SPEAKER_03: Thank gosh.
7:58
SPEAKER_02: The more you're around him and I, you'll realize how much we just basically make fun of each other on a target.
8:02
SPEAKER_03: Got it.
8:02
SPEAKER_03: I was like, what?
8:03
SPEAKER_03: Okay, you're going backwards.
8:04
SPEAKER_03: Um, yes, but we had a minivan.
8:07
SPEAKER_02: So uh how long were you guys in uh out there in Michigan?
8:10
SPEAKER_03: Five years.
8:11
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
8:12
SPEAKER_03: So he completed his residency in orthopedics and then he did a fellowship in sports medicine.
8:16
SPEAKER_02: And then how'd you guys end up here?
8:18
SPEAKER_03: We ended up here, so I graduated, um, ended up going on, getting my midwifery, my my DNP, everything there.
8:27
SPEAKER_03: It was too freaking cold in Michigan.
8:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
8:29
SPEAKER_03: So when he compl we both completed our education at the same time.
8:33
SPEAKER_03: So I completed um mine and he completed his.
8:38
SPEAKER_03: So it was like, what do we want to do?
8:39
SPEAKER_03: Timing, exactly.
8:41
SPEAKER_03: And he was actually born in San Bernardino, so at the age of 11, 10 or 11, he moved to Kansas and he remembered vacationing in Havasu and down at the river.
8:53
SPEAKER_03: So he's like, Well, why don't we just go back west?
8:56
SPEAKER_03: And I said, I won't move to California and I don't want to move to a large city, so where do we want to go?
9:01
SPEAKER_03: And he literally typed it in and a job popped up in um uh Lake Havasu.
9:08
SPEAKER_03: So that was actually in 2015.
9:11
SPEAKER_03: So I know you said we moved in 18, which we did.
9:13
SPEAKER_03: We came in 15, but we came for a very short stint.
9:16
SPEAKER_03: So we moved our entire family across the country and we were here for about 10 months, and um some things came up and it it just didn't work out here uh for himself.
9:28
SPEAKER_03: I had some health issues at the time, and a job opportunity opened up in Kansas where we're from.
9:35
SPEAKER_03: So we went back to Kansas, but it was a blessing in disguise.
9:38
SPEAKER_03: We were there for two years, and my dad actually passed away suddenly.
9:43
SPEAKER_03: Um so I do think that timing it was meant to be for us to go back.
9:49
SPEAKER_03: And in 2018, another job opportunity move opened back up in Havasu, and away we came and we came back.
9:56
SPEAKER_02: So how cool.
9:57
SPEAKER_02: Right now, and so I mean obviously you guys both had well, so you had your own practice as well.
10:01
SPEAKER_02: And your your husband does now too, but you you ended up kind of opening up your own gig.
10:05
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, so in 2018 he came here and when I we both saw the need.
10:10
SPEAKER_03: There's a need in Havasu.
10:12
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna talk about that too.
10:13
SPEAKER_03: Every specialty, you know, and uh I had no desire to open my own practice, but it was one of those things where I wanted to work.
10:21
SPEAKER_03: We have one hospital.
10:23
SPEAKER_02: Um, and but you were working for an OBGYN back in Michigan.
10:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
10:27
SPEAKER_02: So that was kind of your background.
10:28
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
10:29
SPEAKER_03: So my clinical background is um I'm a nurse practitioner.
10:33
SPEAKER_03: Um, I have my doctorate in women's health and I'm a certified nurse midwife.
10:38
SPEAKER_03: So I've been in practice for about 11 years.
10:40
SPEAKER_03: The first half was in Michigan.
10:42
SPEAKER_03: I worked for a large group there and a level one hospital where my primary focus was OB.
10:47
SPEAKER_02: But you can do primary care.
10:48
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
10:49
SPEAKER_03: So we moved to Havasu.
10:51
SPEAKER_03: When we got here, I thought that was gonna be my focus was OB.
10:55
SPEAKER_03: Um, but it shifted because there was such a need.
10:57
SPEAKER_03: I mean, the minute I opened my doors, it was just like, wow, people are looking for care.
11:03
SPEAKER_03: Um, so it kind of went down that women's health.
11:07
SPEAKER_03: Yes, OB was a small part, but when you start talking with patients and spending time with them, you realize you know, primary care is our main foundation.
11:16
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
11:16
SPEAKER_03: Nurse practitioners, MDs, DOs, that's our main foundation.
11:20
SPEAKER_03: We all had to go through several years of school to learn the human body and how it works.
11:26
SPEAKER_03: So even though I'm a specialist in women's health, primary care is the main focus.
11:32
SPEAKER_03: You have to treat the patient as a whole, and that's what so many people don't do.
11:34
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
11:35
SPEAKER_02: And so going in, so you ended up opening up kind of a full um women's health facility, but you also it was a birthing center too.
11:42
SPEAKER_04: Correct.
11:42
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
11:43
SPEAKER_02: Never talk talk about that a little bit because I think that's cool.
11:45
SPEAKER_02: And the reason is is because uh my wife and I had my youngest, he's 10 now.
11:51
SPEAKER_02: We had him at home, all at home natural birth.
11:53
SPEAKER_02: We actually had him in a in a bathtub.
11:54
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was a little blow-up.
11:56
SPEAKER_02: We had a little blow-up um uh pool and had Nemo on it and all that stuff.
12:00
SPEAKER_02: I'll tell you kind of a fun story.
12:01
SPEAKER_02: Can I tell you break free and tell you a funny story?
12:03
SPEAKER_02: You ready?
12:04
SPEAKER_02: Did you know the story, Joe?
12:05
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
12:05
SPEAKER_02: So Kara at the time, so you know how I'm sure you did the too.
12:09
SPEAKER_02: You guys send home like a little care package which has like you know all the things that you need to prepare for the time, right?
12:16
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
12:16
SPEAKER_02: So there's gloves and there's so at the at that time, did you have the pool too?
12:21
SPEAKER_02: Did you guys no?
12:22
SPEAKER_02: Because you had it in your own center.
12:23
SPEAKER_02: You had your bathtubs.
12:24
SPEAKER_03: So I actually had the bathtubs there.
12:26
SPEAKER_02: So because we were doing it at home, they give you that whole like blow-up pool.
12:30
SPEAKER_02: And Kara the whole time, right before she, you know, about to pop, she goes, Hey, are have you checked out the pool?
12:34
SPEAKER_02: Are you sure it's gonna be?
12:35
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, look, babe, I'm sure I can fill up a pool with air, no problem, it's just an air pool, right?
12:39
SPEAKER_02: And it's it's about six feet in diameter.
12:42
SPEAKER_02: And uh, we're actually at a UFC fight and her water burst, and she's like, Hey, it's it's time, call, call our midwife, right?
12:50
SPEAKER_02: And so I call him, I throw her in the car, and we find the other two kids, we throw them in the backseat, we're head home.
12:54
SPEAKER_02: And she goes and she sits on the toilet, right?
12:56
SPEAKER_02: And she's just kind of hanging out, and she goes, I said, okay, I'm gonna go ahead and put this thing together.
13:00
SPEAKER_02: And the way my house was laid out at that time, I had uh I had a master in my master, I had a two-car garage associated to my master, garage my master, and all my tools were in that garage.
13:11
SPEAKER_02: So when I come in, I actually have to go through the bathroom and I pass her, and I have all these air lines, and you know, I have my my uh my hoses and all my lines, and then she had they give you like this little thing that you put over your faucet, and they can turn on the hot water, and then it fills up the bathtub, right?
13:27
SPEAKER_02: And so I can I so I didn't tell her, she's like, is everything okay?
13:31
SPEAKER_02: And she can hear me getting tools out and all this stuff.
13:33
SPEAKER_02: She's like, You have to get tools out to fill up with your uh air compressor, a little bathtub, air pool.
13:38
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Yeah, I I got you, I promise.
13:40
SPEAKER_02: And all of a sudden I'm filling this thing out and it's taking forever, and I can smell like my my uh air compressor is burning out.
13:47
SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
13:48
SPEAKER_02: And she's like, if I have to have this in our other bathtub, I'm gonna be so pissed at you.
13:51
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, dude, honey, I'm we're good to go.
13:53
SPEAKER_02: I'm over there putting oil in the thing and doing all that.
13:56
SPEAKER_02: And then okay, I got it filled up.
13:57
SPEAKER_02: She's like, okay, thank God.
13:58
SPEAKER_02: She can see it now, right?
13:59
SPEAKER_02: And she's just kind of waiting for me.
14:00
SPEAKER_02: And then, because it's in the master now, in the master suite.
14:03
SPEAKER_02: And so now I go to put up, put uh uh the water hose on the faucet and turn it on.
14:08
SPEAKER_02: And when I say trickle out, I'm talking drip out.
14:11
SPEAKER_02: I had no pressure.
14:12
SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh my gosh.
14:14
SPEAKER_02: She's like, what are you gonna do?
14:15
SPEAKER_02: She's like, I guess I'm gonna do this in the bathtub.
14:16
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, no, I think I got it.
14:18
SPEAKER_02: I was literally heating up, I was filling up buckets of water and and pouring it in there, right?
14:23
SPEAKER_02: And then I would I would take hot water from the stove to kind of make it warmer and pour like a smaller thing of really hot water, just try to warm up the whole bathtub, and I got it to the point that she wanted it.
14:34
SPEAKER_02: But it took me like two and a half hours to get this thing prepped for her.
14:37
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, my she to this day on her side.
14:41
SPEAKER_02: To this day, she still uses that against me.
14:43
SPEAKER_02: You know what you almost put me through?
14:44
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I love you.
14:45
SPEAKER_03: I'm so sorry.
14:46
SPEAKER_02: I could have sworn I knew how to blow up a bathtub and put some water in it, but yeah, it was a whole ordeal.
14:50
SPEAKER_02: I had all the lights on in the house, and she's like, You're not making this comfortable.
14:53
SPEAKER_03: And you know, and you're stressed out because the baby's coming, and she's like, oh my gosh.
14:57
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she I was like, and she's and it was funny because I called the doctor, I'm like, hey, I I don't know how he's uh he's a what'd you do wrong?
15:02
SPEAKER_02: And so I tell him, and he's like, look, the minute she starts getting more vocal, that's when you know she's about to have the baby.
15:07
SPEAKER_02: So until you know, so he said kind of walking me through this.
15:09
SPEAKER_02: You know, you're supposed to be here, they were here for oh my gosh.
15:12
SPEAKER_02: It was pretty funny.
15:13
SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so that was a cool story, but yeah, keep keep going and suck a little bit more about your no.
15:17
SPEAKER_03: So um, when I first got here, you know, I started slow.
15:19
SPEAKER_03: I had a smaller space, only had two or three exam rooms, uh, grew very quickly, saw there was a need.
15:25
SPEAKER_03: There were some politics and some barriers when I got here.
15:28
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, again, being a certified nurse midwife, I am not a physician.
15:32
SPEAKER_03: So you have to have that OBGYN with you in case your patient needs a C-section or they, you know, have medical complications, things like that.
15:40
SPEAKER_03: So um I wasn't well received.
15:44
SPEAKER_03: So love a challenge.
15:45
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
15:46
SPEAKER_03: Love a challenge and said, okay, well, go big or kind of go home.
15:49
SPEAKER_03: And uh that's where the birth center came to fruition.
15:53
SPEAKER_03: I was like, well, if I can't beat them at their game, then I will go around them and built the women's center.
15:59
SPEAKER_03: It was needed.
16:00
SPEAKER_03: We were hoping to get mammography in there.
16:02
SPEAKER_03: Um, that's a whole nother conversation when you talk about insurance and reimbursement and things like that.
16:08
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, built the two birth centers there.
16:10
SPEAKER_03: We did have some successful births.
16:13
SPEAKER_03: Um, but that sort of halted from a medical safety standpoint when you don't have good collaborative relationships and good transfer agreements and good communication.
16:25
SPEAKER_03: It puts patients' lives at risk.
16:27
SPEAKER_03: And I wasn't willing to do that.
16:28
SPEAKER_03: So I chose to discontinue offering that service.
16:33
SPEAKER_03: Continued with the women's health.
16:34
SPEAKER_03: We became super successful.
16:37
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, success isn't defined by numbers, it's not defined by it's defined by, you know, your integrity, um, the relationship you have with people, the friendships you build, and your reputation.
16:48
SPEAKER_03: And I do feel I was very successful with that.
16:51
SPEAKER_01: I love it.
16:51
SPEAKER_03: Unfortunately, that practice closed in May of this year, but it's a blessing in disguise.
16:58
SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, everybody that's going to be listening to this that has been following you, that's gonna, you know, see this clip, yeah.
17:04
SPEAKER_02: This is what they wanted to hear.
17:06
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
17:06
SPEAKER_02: You know, so feel free to talk more on that if you'd like.
17:08
SPEAKER_02: I I think it's important because we want everybody to know why you are now going in the direction that you're going.
17:13
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, plot twist, right?
17:15
SPEAKER_03: Totally.
17:15
SPEAKER_03: There are so many people probably going, What the hell is happening?
17:19
SPEAKER_03: And why is Heather Anderson at a gym talking with Ryan and Joe right now?
17:24
SPEAKER_03: So plot twist, all of you guys.
17:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, so sort of the announcement with that.
17:28
SPEAKER_03: Two things.
17:29
SPEAKER_03: There honestly, there are two factors, and I think every one of my patients can will probably have my back on this.
17:36
SPEAKER_03: Healthcare, one, healthcare is crumbling.
17:39
SPEAKER_03: It is literally crumbling at the scenes.
17:42
SPEAKER_03: We are all victims of healthcare right now.
17:44
SPEAKER_03: When you talk about administration, insurance, politics, hospital systems.
17:49
SPEAKER_03: The system is designed to drive these single practices out.
17:55
SPEAKER_03: And, you know, what people don't understand is our reimbursement gets cut every year.
17:59
SPEAKER_03: Every year we make less and less and less and less.
18:02
SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, no punt to to real reelers make more than physicians anymore.
18:07
SPEAKER_03: I mean, like seriously, trades make more.
18:10
SPEAKER_03: You know, they go through doctors go through additional 14 years of schooling, malpractice, the liability associated with it, and insurance companies are decreasing our rates, increasing your premiums, and then their their focus is denials.
18:25
SPEAKER_03: The amount of paperwork and tasks that we have to go through just to get prior off, just to, you know, oh, you don't have enough diagnosis codes on this, so we're denying that claim.
18:35
SPEAKER_03: We're not gonna pay you, but yet you provided the service.
18:37
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but we're not gonna pay you.
18:39
SPEAKER_03: So that was one issue.
18:41
SPEAKER_03: And so you're going on this hamster wheel where you're having to see 25 patients a day, which then leads you to number two of quality care gets sacrificed.
18:52
SPEAKER_03: Because now I have to see 20 to 30 patients a day to pay my overhead to hopefully get reimbursed, to have patients pissed off because uh my staff isn't answering the phone, but yet we're seeing multiple patients and dealing with insurance companies and denials and medical records and referrals and all of these things.
19:11
SPEAKER_03: So it's just it's a vicious cycle.
19:12
SPEAKER_02: Well, you're not even at that point, you're probably spending less time with your patients focusing on what and you're just trying to make sure you're getting reimbursed.
19:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's that's the you're really it's it's not the why even, I totally agree.
19:23
SPEAKER_02: Why even have a practice there?
19:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
19:24
SPEAKER_03: So the focus shifted to I started off with quality care, spending time with my patients.
19:29
SPEAKER_03: That's how I built trust.
19:30
SPEAKER_03: I built a trusting relationship, focusing on the foundation, the primary care, the health, the wellness, listening to them.
19:37
SPEAKER_03: Providers don't listen anymore.
19:38
SPEAKER_03: We need to be listening to our patients.
19:40
SPEAKER_03: They will tell you their story.
19:42
SPEAKER_03: You need to be asking, what was your childhood like?
19:44
SPEAKER_03: What was your teenage years like?
19:45
SPEAKER_03: What was your normal weight?
19:46
SPEAKER_03: Right.
19:46
SPEAKER_03: They come in because they are obese.
19:48
SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, what were you like in high school?
19:49
SPEAKER_03: What were you like at 20 years old?
19:51
SPEAKER_03: What was your normal weight until you got to this point?
19:53
SPEAKER_03: And um, when I moved into the women's center and I built this, it was amazing, but it was also kind of a curse because now I was stripped of being able to care for patients the way I wanted to.
20:06
SPEAKER_02: You're probably burning out a little bit.
20:08
SPEAKER_02: Because is that your heart, right?
20:09
SPEAKER_02: 100%.
20:09
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, your heart's broken.
20:10
SPEAKER_02: I could only imagine.
20:11
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I was still taking time with them.
20:13
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but then I was paying for it, going home at 8 30 o'clock, 8 30 at night.
20:17
SPEAKER_03: With five kids.
20:18
SPEAKER_03: With five kids who are like, You're never home.
20:20
SPEAKER_03: Dad's never home because he's an orthopedic, he's on call, he's doing surgery, he had his own, you know, practice.
20:25
SPEAKER_02: So and then the pressure of knowing there's patients that need you, you can't just roll up and take off.
20:30
SPEAKER_02: Like it's so I could only imagine that stress when you decided to, Klaus.
20:33
SPEAKER_02: I could only imagine.
20:34
SPEAKER_03: Well, and you have to think about it.
20:36
SPEAKER_03: A lot of patients that came to me had already been elsewhere too, and they're looking for an answer.
20:41
SPEAKER_03: And well, yeah.
20:43
SPEAKER_02: I I first of all, I want you to know Joe and I talked about this.
20:46
SPEAKER_02: We feel honored that you're across the table from us.
20:47
SPEAKER_02: And and one of the reasons too is because the amount of good feedback we've heard about you, you we everyone loves you.
20:54
SPEAKER_02: Everybody I've ever talked to, I'm sure there's people out there that have their things to say.
20:57
SPEAKER_02: Who does it?
20:58
SPEAKER_02: No, there always is.
20:58
SPEAKER_02: There is always out there.
20:59
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
20:59
SPEAKER_02: But the point is, it's like, but everybody that I've talked to just loves, I mean, they almost like like Rob, our architect.
21:05
SPEAKER_02: You spent time with his wife, you know, uh uh Taryn, you know, you took care of her daughter, you know.
21:10
SPEAKER_02: It's just Haley.
21:12
SPEAKER_02: You didn't you know her kids, you know.
21:15
SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's just everyone has so many wonderful things to say about you.
21:18
SPEAKER_02: And when uh I felt the same way when we first had our meeting, I can tell why people would get so close to you because you're just a normal person.
21:24
SPEAKER_02: You know, doctors and attorneys, you kind of just don't know, like they're just weird.
21:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're not weird.
21:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, they're you're like a normal person.
21:32
SPEAKER_02: And so you've totally fit in.
21:34
SPEAKER_02: And so, but that's like I think people right now, they're so scared.
21:38
SPEAKER_02: And honestly, healthcare is not getting cheaper, and people are getting more and more scared.
21:42
SPEAKER_02: And uh, because of this, the culture of Lake Kavasu, and so many people are retiring, they are focused on lifestyle, health, and wellness, trying to eat right.
21:49
SPEAKER_02: More physicians are going to telling them, hey, go back to kind of the old farm to table type food and eating and and real health and wellness because the big pharma world is starting is falling apart and nobody believes in it.
21:59
SPEAKER_02: The vaccination, all the shit that happened in 2020, people are just like, they're over it.
22:02
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, and and they ran here to get away from that.
22:06
SPEAKER_02: That's the thing about this community.
22:08
SPEAKER_02: And so when I sat with you, I just felt such I mean, you you had me open up to you, and I'm one of the most closed off people ever, you know.
22:16
SPEAKER_02: I open up to a certain extent, but to be able to meet with somebody where my walls come down.
22:20
SPEAKER_02: Immediately, I just knew that you have you have that energy, and therefore I tell you, I tell people all the time, you can't come to me with a problem.
22:28
SPEAKER_02: You have to tell me all of the things, all where the bodies are buried, so I can fix the problem.
22:31
SPEAKER_02: And that's what doctors are, you know, you have to tell them everything.
22:34
SPEAKER_02: And sometimes people won't tell you everything.
22:36
SPEAKER_02: But if you if you have the personality, you could probably really help people because you're able to extract what's really going on and what they weren't supposed what they weren't supposed to do, but they did.
22:45
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
22:45
SPEAKER_02: And now you're able to uncover that and go, okay, well, here's the real problem.
22:48
SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
22:48
SPEAKER_03: Well, and no, and and the thing is is you have to build trust with your patients, right?
22:53
SPEAKER_03: Like how how many times have you gone to the doctor and they're looking at their computer, they're very, very little time engaging with you, investing in you.
23:02
SPEAKER_03: It's just you're here for this.
23:04
SPEAKER_03: Okay, we can give you a pill for that, go get your lab work there, come back in 30 days, call if you need anything, and they're gone.
23:10
SPEAKER_03: And no one wants that's a vulnerable place to go into a doctor's office.
23:15
SPEAKER_03: And a lot of times people don't disclose everything because why am I?
23:19
SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna let's say you have a drinking problem.
23:21
SPEAKER_03: I'm not going to divulge that to you because you're gonna judge me, or maybe they are, but you don't even ask the questions, what's your life like, right?
23:28
SPEAKER_03: So I think I built trust with a lot of people in our community.
23:31
SPEAKER_03: That was the hardest part about closing my practice, was it did come very abruptly.
23:37
SPEAKER_03: But that's what healthcare, when you go down corporate avenues, you go down that administrative side of things, sometimes it's out of your control.
23:47
SPEAKER_03: And that was the biggest part, is my heart was crushed for so many people that weren't going to have care.
23:55
SPEAKER_03: But what it did do was I'm not gonna lie, it took the chains, the shackles.
24:00
SPEAKER_03: The day I left and realized I didn't have to come back was probably the second or third best day of my life because I felt free and I could cry thinking about it.
24:14
SPEAKER_03: And I don't want to.
24:24
SPEAKER_03: And I would go home every night.
24:27
SPEAKER_03: Just the amount of time people had my personal number.
24:30
SPEAKER_03: I gave it to almost all of my patients that I could.
24:33
SPEAKER_03: And I was spending hours and weekends helping them.
24:37
SPEAKER_03: And to know I let them down was a hard thing.
24:41
SPEAKER_03: But that timing, you keep saying timing, it allowed me to refocus and go, what do I want to do?
24:47
SPEAKER_03: And so my brand where I kind of came up was executive health.
24:52
SPEAKER_03: And a lot of people at this point are gonna go, what the is executive health?
24:57
SPEAKER_03: I know that I offer executive level care.
25:00
SPEAKER_03: That's how much I care about people.
25:02
SPEAKER_03: That's how much I care about myself, my family.
25:06
SPEAKER_03: And I genuinely believe that every person on this planet deserves to be cared for at that level.
25:13
SPEAKER_03: And it's not happening.
25:15
SPEAKER_03: And, you know, I have limitations.
25:17
SPEAKER_03: I have a specialty.
25:18
SPEAKER_03: Yes, I can do primary care.
25:19
SPEAKER_03: Limited, I'm not gonna see somebody on 52 medications and treat your type 2 diabetes.
25:24
SPEAKER_03: No, that's not my specialty.
25:26
SPEAKER_03: But what I will do is get you in the right hands of someone that can help us and and be part of our team.
25:32
SPEAKER_03: And that's how executive health was born.
25:34
SPEAKER_03: Our paths crossed just kind of organically through people going, you know, hey, you know, there's this new gym and they're wanting to do some wellness stuff, and maybe, you know, you want to do it safely, right?
25:48
SPEAKER_03: Like I definitely medical wellness.
25:50
SPEAKER_03: We do not, we don't willy-nilly anything.
25:53
SPEAKER_03: It's you have to be safe and we have to be taking care of the patient.
25:58
SPEAKER_03: But our interaction sort of happened very organically with our meeting.
26:02
SPEAKER_03: We had a meeting.
26:03
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
26:04
SPEAKER_02: Go ahead and tell the story.
26:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'll fill in the gap.
26:06
SPEAKER_02: No, that was kind of wild.
26:07
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, people were kind of just kept saying, Oh, you should go talk to him.
26:11
SPEAKER_03: And I'm sure people, I think, were telling you you should talk with her because you knew you wanted to kind of incorporate health and wellness, but safely in your gym.
26:20
SPEAKER_02: And I, and I, you know, whoever I associate myself with is gonna, you know, people are gonna look at the brand accordingly.
26:25
SPEAKER_02: So I was very, very careful.
26:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
26:27
SPEAKER_02: And you too.
26:28
SPEAKER_03: And you and we and we have to be, right?
26:29
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, I'm guarded, you're guarded, we all have to be guarded.
26:33
SPEAKER_03: So um had a meeting at 1 30, and I had to pick up my daughter's friend at 1 30.
26:41
SPEAKER_03: And so I had to cancel the meeting because that was the only time that they could drop her off.
26:45
SPEAKER_03: It was our very first one.
26:46
SPEAKER_03: So I remember contacting Haley.
26:48
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh my gosh, I can't make the meeting.
26:49
SPEAKER_03: Can we reschedule?
26:51
SPEAKER_03: And I met my daughter's uh friend at Beachcomer.
26:54
SPEAKER_03: It was a it's a neutral location, and I I'm standing there, and here is this guy with Matt.
27:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and he's got paradigm here on his shirt.
27:05
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, that has to be him.
27:06
SPEAKER_03: There's no way.
27:07
SPEAKER_03: And I just remember texting Haley, like, hey, is Ryan at Beachcomber?
27:11
SPEAKER_03: By the way, she goes, No, I don't think so.
27:12
SPEAKER_03: And then you just looked at me and I kind of looked at you, and you're like, Are you Dr.
27:16
SPEAKER_03: Heather?
27:16
SPEAKER_03: I was like, Are you Ryan?
27:18
SPEAKER_03: And it was crazy.
27:19
SPEAKER_03: So, like the meeting still happened at 1:30.
27:22
SPEAKER_02: In front of beachcombers where everybody else was listening to us.
27:24
SPEAKER_03: And we were both just like, okay, okay, we gotta stop.
27:26
SPEAKER_03: Everyone says, Are you guys in line to buy anything?
27:28
SPEAKER_03: We're like, no, go ahead.
27:29
SPEAKER_03: We just like had the whole meeting there, and then we were like, okay, we got to stop talking.
27:33
SPEAKER_03: But it what I loved was that it truly did.
27:37
SPEAKER_03: I am a firm believer that paths crossed for reasons.
27:40
SPEAKER_03: I felt like I we were both put in that exact spot.
27:44
SPEAKER_03: And Matt had never been to Beachcomber, right?
27:46
SPEAKER_03: Like it was kind of a weird thing how you ended up there too.
27:49
SPEAKER_03: So I left that day going, okay, all right.
27:54
SPEAKER_03: This is like meant to be, this needs to happen.
27:56
SPEAKER_03: And then when we had our first real sit-down and our meeting and just your vision of bringing health and wellness into, you know, the gym.
28:05
SPEAKER_03: Um, it really spoke to me because that's what I want.
28:09
SPEAKER_03: I want people that want to take care of themselves.
28:10
SPEAKER_03: I want to help people live a better life and I want to do it safely medically.
28:15
SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, there's five core things that us as healthcare providers get away from sleep, hydration, diet, exercise, and stress reduction.
28:27
SPEAKER_03: That is the core foundation of every person walking around here.
28:31
SPEAKER_03: But yet, how many times has a doctor ever asked you about any of those things?
28:37
SPEAKER_03: Usually the medical assistant, like, do you eat healthy?
28:39
SPEAKER_03: Do you work out?
28:41
SPEAKER_03: Are you depressed?
28:41
SPEAKER_03: It's never are you stressed, it's always are you depressed?
28:44
SPEAKER_03: Are you sleeping well?
28:45
SPEAKER_00: Those are how many times do you drink?
28:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
28:48
unknown: Yeah.
28:48
SPEAKER_00: Do you smoke?
28:49
SPEAKER_00: Do you're not asking the you want to know why those questions?
28:52
SPEAKER_03: Because insurance requires them, because we have to have so many little clicks so that we get paid.
28:58
SPEAKER_03: But are we really investing our time?
29:00
SPEAKER_03: Are we really sitting down going, Hey Joe, like okay, you say you drink socially, but what is socially to you?
29:05
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what's your definition?
29:06
SPEAKER_03: Is that every night or is that once a month, right?
29:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, are you have a suit social?
29:11
SPEAKER_03: Every day.
29:12
SPEAKER_00: Is it 12 doubles at a bar?
29:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for the other thing.
29:15
SPEAKER_00: Are you calling me out right now?
29:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
29:17
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, wrong person.
29:18
SPEAKER_03: But that is that is true healthcare.
29:21
SPEAKER_03: That is a well-rounded, patient-centered quality care approach, which every office, every hospital advertises.
29:28
SPEAKER_03: We're patient-centered.
29:30
SPEAKER_03: We offer quality care.
29:31
SPEAKER_03: Well, what is your definition of quality care?
29:33
SPEAKER_03: Is that just meeting your check boxes?
29:34
SPEAKER_03: Is that just following your protocols?
29:36
SPEAKER_03: Or have you ever really engaged with a patient?
29:38
SPEAKER_03: When you engage with somebody like in a conversation, you can leave feeling better.
29:44
SPEAKER_03: And that's what I want patients to do.
29:45
SPEAKER_02: Well, I've I've seen you, I've seen you kind of at work now, you know, because people come in, you're here, and they'll start.
29:50
SPEAKER_02: And one thing I've learned about you is how much you are a two ears, one mouth type of person.
29:54
SPEAKER_02: You are literally listening to everything they say.
29:57
SPEAKER_02: And I can I feel like I can see your wheels turning.
30:00
SPEAKER_02: And then you you ask the right thing, you continue to ask questions because you want to know more about how they got to the situation that they're in, and and then you respond very, you're just very professional.
30:09
SPEAKER_04: Well, thank you.
30:10
SPEAKER_02: And you just you you could tell you care.
30:12
SPEAKER_02: And I think that's what it that's a point.
30:13
SPEAKER_02: That's how I felt when I met you.
30:14
SPEAKER_02: I think everyone else feels the same way.
30:16
SPEAKER_02: And uh, and you know, there's more and more data out there supporting, you know, eating clean, working out, all that fun stuff, and all the political stuff going on, like with RFK and all the food and you know the vaccine.
30:28
SPEAKER_02: By the way, Jay, did you and your husband ever get vaccinated?
30:30
SPEAKER_03: We did not.
30:31
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, neither did we.
30:32
SPEAKER_02: You didn't either.
30:33
SPEAKER_02: Nope.
30:33
SPEAKER_02: Didn't we have a fake idea?
30:34
SPEAKER_00: Didn't we go to the 49er game?
30:36
SPEAKER_02: He had fake cards.
30:37
SPEAKER_02: He got me a fake card.
30:38
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we were the outcasts.
30:39
SPEAKER_03: I I would say we were definitely the outliers here, and I'm grateful that I did.
30:44
SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, you know, um, I mean, that can lead us down into the whole peptide chain, too.
30:50
SPEAKER_02: I mean, which we all want to talk about.
30:52
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
30:52
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
30:52
SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, everyone's gonna have their opinion on it, and that's fine.
30:55
SPEAKER_03: Everyone's entitled to their opinion.
30:57
SPEAKER_03: But no, we did not.
30:58
SPEAKER_03: I'm very grateful.
30:59
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and just so you know everyone knows who's listening, I I'm gonna watch these two geeks here turn up on about peptides.
31:04
SPEAKER_02: That's why Joe's here.
31:05
SPEAKER_02: Because Joe, as for some but for some of you that don't know much about Joe's background, Joe's a uh professional bodybuilder, he's been a trainer for uh an active real business running trainer for 10 years.
31:15
SPEAKER_02: He obviously retired, he's working here and working side by side with me and helping us build the brand.
31:20
SPEAKER_02: But his knowledge, and he's still in it, obviously, but his knowledge is incredible.
31:25
SPEAKER_02: And watching these two go back and forth was impressive.
31:27
SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna talk about the peptides here in a second, but I have one last question for you.
31:31
SPEAKER_02: For all of the your past patients that are gonna be listening to this, what do you want to tell them?
31:37
SPEAKER_02: And why did you decide to kind of come back with a vengeance?
31:41
SPEAKER_02: Because I can see it in your eyes and I can see that passion.
31:44
SPEAKER_02: And I want to I want to highlight something that I've noticed in you too.
31:48
SPEAKER_02: You know, going from having you know, five kids, being married, divorced, having five kids, your husband has a practice, you have like mental stamina that most people don't have.
32:01
SPEAKER_02: And to be able to continue to provide space and care for that many people, you know, I tell people I tell others this all the time.
32:09
SPEAKER_02: I say every time I lose somebody in my life, like a friend, a client, what have you, I feel like a piece of me goes with them.
32:14
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
32:14
SPEAKER_02: And so I feel like I died more and more.
32:16
SPEAKER_02: And as I get older, it's just you're taking shot after shot after shot.
32:19
SPEAKER_02: It's hard.
32:20
SPEAKER_02: What would you want to tell your girls and all your patients?
32:23
SPEAKER_02: And like you're coming back, you're here, what can you do?
32:27
SPEAKER_02: And what made you want to continue to push forward after being defeated like that?
32:31
SPEAKER_03: I think that honestly, they were the driving force to the change.
32:36
SPEAKER_03: Um, I couldn't care for them the way that I wanted to, or as much as I wanted to, right?
32:42
SPEAKER_03: They they would leave every day and I still just felt like I didn't have enough time.
32:47
SPEAKER_02: So that'll wear on you.
32:49
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
32:50
SPEAKER_03: What better place to start than in a gym, right?
32:54
SPEAKER_03: So people don't have to come here and sign up for a membership because remember what we talked about, the five core things, right?
33:02
SPEAKER_03: But you can come here and you can get established and started with let's sit down and talk about what are your health concerns?
33:08
SPEAKER_03: What problems are you having?
33:10
SPEAKER_03: Do we need to get you in the hands of other specialists?
33:12
SPEAKER_03: Labs are huge.
33:14
SPEAKER_03: It tells a story.
33:15
SPEAKER_03: It's a snapshot, but it still tells us a story to be able to guide your treatment, right, safely with peptides.
33:21
SPEAKER_03: Labs are huge.
33:22
SPEAKER_03: And if you're taking peptides without labs, that's gonna be a conversation here in a minute.
33:26
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna bring that up.
33:27
SPEAKER_03: But again, medical wellness, right?
33:30
SPEAKER_03: I want my previous patients to know that it is their choice if they choose to come and kind of go on this wellness journey.
33:37
SPEAKER_03: But we are gonna focus on your diet, which we talked about.
33:40
SPEAKER_03: And I this is important to bring up.
33:42
SPEAKER_03: PCOS is a huge, huge metabolic disorder that is is very prevalent, right?
33:49
SPEAKER_03: And it's been even renamed.
33:51
SPEAKER_03: It's not polycystic ovarian syndrome anymore, it's polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome.
33:56
SPEAKER_03: So it's actually been changed.
33:58
SPEAKER_03: That is primary care in a nutshell because you're dealing with multi-systems that are affected, right?
34:04
SPEAKER_03: And it's a snowflake disease.
34:05
SPEAKER_03: No two women are exactly alike.
34:07
SPEAKER_03: So you have to look at that patient that's in front of you presenting with these symptoms.
34:12
SPEAKER_03: And you can't just walk into your OBG.
34:14
SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay, well, take a birth control pill, diet, lose weight, and come back.
34:17
SPEAKER_03: Oh, you can't get pregnant because you're not having periods.
34:19
SPEAKER_03: So sorry.
34:20
SPEAKER_03: I don't know what to tell you, lose weight.
34:22
SPEAKER_03: Like that is what these women are being told.
34:25
SPEAKER_03: What better place to start in a gym to come in?
34:27
SPEAKER_03: And you don't have to sign up, like I said.
34:30
SPEAKER_03: But let's get you started on your health journey.
34:32
SPEAKER_03: Let's talk to you about what's going on with your body and let's focus on those core things that we talked about and get your metabolic system rebooted and and and see how we can help you and go down that path.
34:45
SPEAKER_03: And then use these supportive measures such as hormone replacement therapy, peptides, and um exercise.
34:52
SPEAKER_03: Hopefully, you can get that incorporated in there at some point and and get you living a long, healthy life.
34:58
SPEAKER_02: Some people just can't do it because they have injuries and they need physical therapy and we have trainers if that's the case.
35:03
SPEAKER_02: But that's actually really important.
35:04
SPEAKER_02: I want to make sure that everyone who's listening understands that that's local.
35:07
SPEAKER_02: Or even if they're coming in to see you know they're out of out of town.
35:09
SPEAKER_02: Because that's what we want to encourage is people coming from out of town, just if it's here, come say hi.
35:14
SPEAKER_02: But people do not have to come to the gym to come to the gym to see you.
35:18
SPEAKER_02: They do not need to sign up and have a membership to be able to have access to you.
35:23
SPEAKER_02: It's a completely different entity.
35:24
SPEAKER_02: In essence, people can come in and just meet with you directly, come through the front door during normal working hours, meet you or one of someone on your in your team, and and get that consultation, find out, you know, dump everything on your on your shoulders and see what where you can help them, right?
35:37
SPEAKER_02: The the it just makes sense, and we'll talk about kind of why we decided to marry our brand up with someone like yourself and kind of the movement in the industry.
35:46
SPEAKER_02: And I'll even let Joe talk on it because him and I have geeked out on this for a long time.
35:49
SPEAKER_02: But it it is important that people know they have access to you, they don't have to sign up for the gym.
35:53
SPEAKER_02: So I want to make sure that's black and white.
35:54
SPEAKER_02: And that's important because what I want everyone to see us as is really it's the brand, right?
35:59
SPEAKER_02: Just to be full transparent.
36:00
SPEAKER_02: It's when I when we opened the gym, Joe was always told me, told me, and I never it never connected to me when Joe was telling me how much he loved his his uh clients.
36:09
SPEAKER_02: And so I could see that connection that you have with Heather too, because of how close you are with your clients.
36:14
SPEAKER_02: The the when we opened this gym, because it's I felt this town really needed something that had this type of equipment, bigger energy, just different, right?
36:24
SPEAKER_02: Because some of the bigger gyms here in town are just as far as the corporate gyms are horrible.
36:28
SPEAKER_00: That's who he is in general.
36:29
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, go bigger.
36:30
SPEAKER_00: Go bigger, go home.
36:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
36:31
SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
36:32
SPEAKER_03: And it may not be for everybody, and that's okay too.
36:34
SPEAKER_03: That's okay too.
36:35
SPEAKER_02: But what happened was is the reason why my my mind shifted so much to want to do more of this is because the stories that we were getting from, you know, members that were coming in saying, Ryan, like, I almost committed suicide.
36:47
SPEAKER_02: This gym has changed the way I look.
36:48
SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's just one client.
36:49
SPEAKER_02: And and the the from a mental side, one lady I see her every day.
36:53
SPEAKER_02: She's lost 93 pounds.
36:54
SPEAKER_02: She's like, I feel like a mom, but a mother again.
36:57
SPEAKER_02: You know, it just it's so I was I was sitting there going, like, you know, the Lord has opened up the doors for us and we're we're pretty blessed.
37:03
SPEAKER_02: If I can actually use this skill set and implement resources to continue to help people, I don't think it get much, it gets much better than that.
37:10
SPEAKER_03: It's definitely not just a gym.
37:12
SPEAKER_03: And I think that's what people have to get out of their mindset.
37:16
SPEAKER_03: Is I have been here, you know, several times now, and the amount of members that talk with the staff, they will sit down and they want to talk to you about their life.
37:26
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I love this, but it feels like a community.
37:29
SPEAKER_03: And that's what it should feel like.
37:31
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and when you come, you want to feel comfortable, right?
37:34
SPEAKER_03: You you want to feel comfortable and and get to know who you're with.
37:38
SPEAKER_03: And human connection is what we're designed for.
37:41
SPEAKER_03: And with I actually, so people kind of bash social media, but if you think about it, people aren't addicted to the screens, they're addicted to the social aspect of it, like watching other people's lives, seeing how they learn, seeing how they live.
37:58
SPEAKER_03: That's what we're designed for.
37:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
37:59
SPEAKER_03: So it's so cool coming here and having that connection.
38:01
SPEAKER_02: It's a village.
38:02
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
38:02
SPEAKER_02: That's why big high dense communities just continue to grow.
38:05
SPEAKER_02: People want to come together, you know, and congregate.
38:07
SPEAKER_03: Well, and that's what kind of struck me.
38:09
SPEAKER_03: And, you know, and people need to understand too, I think this is a clear point.
38:12
SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm not accepting insurance because that is gonna be a huge question.
38:15
SPEAKER_03: People are, I'm not a medical office.
38:17
SPEAKER_03: This is not a medical office.
38:18
SPEAKER_02: We're gonna talk about that in a minute, too.
38:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
38:20
SPEAKER_03: So I I want to get that out of the way.
38:22
SPEAKER_03: And I know, I know we're gonna get questions too of am I really focusing on the other women's health side of things, prenatal care, postnatal care.
38:30
SPEAKER_03: I think down the pipeline that may may come to fruition at at a different time, but right now I want to focus on this, and this is where my heart is.
38:38
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I have cold plunge pools at the next gym, and we could do some maybe.
38:41
SPEAKER_03: Okay, do some bursts there.
38:42
SPEAKER_00: Well, just warm up the pool and warm.
38:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I love that heart.
38:45
SPEAKER_00: We're literally two, three hundred yards from Windsor.
38:49
SPEAKER_00: And imagine the amount of people.
38:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm hungover.
38:53
SPEAKER_00: Let's go get an IV, and then I'm gonna go get my workout, and then I'm gonna go get hungover again.
38:58
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
38:58
SPEAKER_00: So, like the concept here, it's a win-win.
39:01
SPEAKER_00: I mean, you can't go wrong.
39:03
SPEAKER_02: It's like taking an instead of drinking another beer in the morning to offset the day before, you just go get an IV and you're good to go.
39:08
SPEAKER_02: Got it.
39:10
SPEAKER_03: That's a supportive measure.
39:11
SPEAKER_02: There's something in the oxygen and the atmosphere and the heat out here that must make people just funny when they drink, man.
39:15
SPEAKER_02: I tell you, you gotta you gotta build up the tolerance to to live out here.
39:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
39:19
SPEAKER_02: Um, all right, so let's go into this.
39:21
SPEAKER_02: Um, let's get uh let's get Mr.
39:23
SPEAKER_02: Joe Diesel on this because now Joe's gonna enjoy this.
39:25
SPEAKER_02: And you know what's funny is Joe always interviews me, but I get a chance to interview you for uh a few times.
39:29
SPEAKER_02: This is the I'm excited now.
39:31
SPEAKER_02: All right, so Joe, let's talk a little bit about your past, buddy.
39:33
SPEAKER_02: I I know a lot of people already know you, but since Heather, you know, obviously uh a lot of people that are gonna be watching this for the first time know Heather and we're gonna be uh building awareness around her.
39:41
SPEAKER_02: Uh let's talk a little bit about your background, but I want everyone to kind of get to know you a little bit more.
39:45
SPEAKER_02: You have three children.
39:46
SPEAKER_02: We can talk a bit of how we connected, but I want to I want to know more about your health and wellness uh journey.
39:50
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll make it kind of like elevator pitch because I feel like most people already do know me.
39:54
SPEAKER_00: But I think one, I want to make out a few points from what Heather shared.
40:00
SPEAKER_00: She is, you are very passionate about everything that you do.
40:04
SPEAKER_00: And like Ryan said, with me being a trainer, you're I I was a therapist over a trainer all day, 100%.
40:10
SPEAKER_00: You know, 80% my.
40:11
SPEAKER_02: I told him you should went to psych uh uh uh cosmetology school after being a trainer man.
40:15
SPEAKER_00: I mean, dude, I'm a barber also.
40:18
SPEAKER_03: I keep Jack of all treats.
40:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so Joe of all treats.
40:21
SPEAKER_03: Joe of all treats.
40:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I I think it's important for people to understand when it comes to health and wellness, ultimately, we we had a a young kid come up to us this morning and he was asking a simple question of how do you guys keep going when you have a hard day and all that.
40:41
SPEAKER_00: And you know, Ryan said his two piece, Matt said his two piece, and then I just simply said, like, if you wake up in the morning and you're unhappy with yourself, what are you gonna do differently?
40:53
SPEAKER_00: And I said, the first thing you gotta focus on is your sleep.
40:58
SPEAKER_00: Because if you're not sleeping enough, this whole fucking seven hours of sleep, I I call bullshit because for 10 years I slept five hours and I was just fine.
41:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but now that I have three kids and I work for this guy, I need about seven to eight.
41:12
SPEAKER_00: But you never get it, but I don't get it.
41:14
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hence why you're on peptides.
41:16
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
41:17
SPEAKER_00: But I I think it's important for people to understand that you know, if you don't care about your health, we track data.
41:24
SPEAKER_00: So baby boomers, they're spending habits, health and wellness is the way the world is going.
41:29
SPEAKER_00: Peptides will be the next trillion dollar business.
41:32
SPEAKER_00: I think people and their eyes being open, we won't go too far, but I mean someone pleading the fifth here.
41:38
SPEAKER_00: I think yesterday on on the news, Mr.
41:41
SPEAKER_00: Fauci.
41:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Fauci.
41:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I thought it's a common sense.
41:44
SPEAKER_02: Hey, what color what color is your tie?
41:46
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I plead the fifth.
41:47
SPEAKER_04: Yes.
41:48
SPEAKER_00: What's the carpet?
41:48
SPEAKER_00: I plead the plead the fifth.
41:50
SPEAKER_00: So it it's things like that.
41:52
SPEAKER_00: That I think what's cool about all this is more and more people are actually opening their eyes.
41:57
SPEAKER_00: And I think, like what you said, you were one of the few that didn't get the vaccine.
42:03
SPEAKER_00: But look at where you are now, and I think more people are like, wow, you were right, and I wish I followed you and your guidance.
42:11
SPEAKER_03: So no one will admit it.
42:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
42:13
SPEAKER_00: And so uh, and there's so many different routes, but for me, you know, long story short, guys, like Brian said, 10 years as a personal trainer.
42:21
SPEAKER_00: I got introduced, I was, you know, two years into college, wanted to be a uh law enforcement out of LA.
42:27
SPEAKER_00: I was scheduling a you know interview and I met one guy, bodybuilder, Jeremy Bundia.
42:33
SPEAKER_00: He was a Mr.
42:34
SPEAKER_00: Olympian going for second title at the time in 2015, and changed my life.
42:40
SPEAKER_00: Honestly, I've been a meathead my whole life.
42:43
SPEAKER_00: I got tested in high school senior year because they thought I was on steroids when I just had a high testosterone as a young 18-year-old.
42:50
SPEAKER_00: Um, grew up with a single mom.
42:52
SPEAKER_00: Genetics has always been my thing.
42:54
SPEAKER_00: I'm a mutt.
42:55
SPEAKER_00: Um, the short end of the stick, everyone in my family is literally like six feet tall.
43:00
SPEAKER_00: I'm five'eight.
43:01
SPEAKER_02: I do want to disclose that he made it on Fear Factor for being a media.
43:04
SPEAKER_02: I just wanted to know that.
43:05
SPEAKER_02: And he flipped the car.
43:06
SPEAKER_00: And I flipped the car and I won.
43:07
SPEAKER_02: So you got$50,000.
43:10
SPEAKER_00: Hey, yeah.
43:11
SPEAKER_04: Fun fact.
43:12
SPEAKER_00: So I I think for me, timing really has been important.
43:18
SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I you don't realize it, you know, even with Ryan, you know, those the stories I hear all the time, and I could speak for him sometimes.
43:26
SPEAKER_00: I could probably write a book, but it it's one of those things, timing does happen for a reason.
43:31
SPEAKER_00: Even with my wife, we're technically not married, but I prayed for her.
43:35
SPEAKER_00: I that song I prayed for her, you know, or prayed for you, like literally eight months after very bad breakup and a change in my career.
43:43
SPEAKER_00: I prayed for her, and doors open and everything.
43:46
SPEAKER_00: So my clients really did, and for the ones that listen for my viewership, they changed my life.
43:52
SPEAKER_00: Every ounce of I I could say from the start to finish to when they started, how they finished, when they yelled at me, when they wanted to complain about I'm on my period, or you know, I went through a breakup.
44:04
SPEAKER_00: I I don't want to work out.
44:05
SPEAKER_00: Shut the fuck up.
44:06
SPEAKER_00: You pay me, let's get to work.
44:08
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
44:08
SPEAKER_00: So I do believe the impact that you've made and your impressive track record is why we're here right now.
44:17
SPEAKER_00: And I think it's for a reason.
44:19
SPEAKER_00: For me, I think why I'm on this too is because I I'm in love with anything health related.
44:25
SPEAKER_00: Building this gym with him has been amazing.
44:28
SPEAKER_00: But there, and and I will be your voice of reason when it comes to speaking the truth that you need to also be careful with because there's certain things that you can and can't say.
44:38
SPEAKER_00: But honestly, I've dealt with law enforcement, I've dealt with doctors like yourself that changed me and opened my eyes.
44:45
SPEAKER_00: Literally, one of my clients that the husband is Russian, she has six kids, and they have their own practice.
44:52
SPEAKER_00: They're the ones who literally changed my life on get your blood work, understand what you're putting in your body, and actually following the protocol that's meant for you, not for what your buddy is doing.
45:07
SPEAKER_00: Correct.
45:07
SPEAKER_00: Because those things are so important, whether it's HRT, you know, I got stories up the ass.
45:12
SPEAKER_00: Like my mom, my mom's not talking about that.
45:16
SPEAKER_00: That's a different podcast.
45:18
SPEAKER_00: But my mom, you know, I respect everything that you do because my mom in her early 40s had a half hysterectomy.
45:25
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
45:25
SPEAKER_00: What did I tell her she should do that her doctor didn't?
45:30
SPEAKER_00: I said, Mom, you should consider HRT.
45:33
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
45:34
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Dosos?
45:36
SPEAKER_00: And I said, How about you go do a couple other consultations, give them your results, tell them why you were told you need this.
45:43
SPEAKER_00: Some blood blood work.
45:44
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and she she had uh endometriosis and all those things.
45:49
SPEAKER_03: All the things.
45:50
SPEAKER_00: What do you know?
45:51
SPEAKER_00: She goes to a couple other specialists, they encourage her to get on the pellet, and night and day difference.
45:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she is a hundred percent better.
46:00
SPEAKER_00: She's on it.
46:01
SPEAKER_00: I mean, he knows my mom.
46:02
SPEAKER_00: She's literally not even 50 yet, and I'm 32.
46:05
SPEAKER_00: Like she had me out of young.
46:06
SPEAKER_00: She looks like she's 32.
46:07
SPEAKER_00: She's amazing, shape, beautiful, young, and hormones help change her life.
46:13
SPEAKER_00: But it's because she had to go find someone like you.
46:16
SPEAKER_00: I wish she went to you, you know.
46:17
SPEAKER_00: But it it's there are there is good people, there is good, there is good doctors out there.
46:22
SPEAKER_00: And this way of the world of going and getting the right help and finding someone who actually cares to go to the root of the problem, not just abandon.
46:32
SPEAKER_00: Correct.
46:32
SPEAKER_00: That's what's important.
46:33
SPEAKER_02: Which piggybacks off what she said.
46:34
SPEAKER_02: She just felt like she didn't have enough time.
46:36
SPEAKER_02: You know, she's chasing paperwork.
46:37
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
46:38
SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
46:38
SPEAKER_03: Well, and and patient, patients come in with knowledge now.
46:41
SPEAKER_03: They have power, they have knowledge.
46:43
SPEAKER_03: Um, they're learning to stand up for themselves, which I think is phenomenal.
46:48
SPEAKER_03: It's fantastic.
46:49
SPEAKER_03: And they should, you should advocate for yourself.
46:52
SPEAKER_03: But my thing is, you know, speaking to HRT, when I first got here, so seven going on eight years ago, I was giving bioidenticals.
47:02
SPEAKER_03: I was doing HRT.
47:03
SPEAKER_03: And when I tell you the amount of negative comments from PCPs, primary cares, other OBGYNs of what is she doing?
47:14
SPEAKER_03: And it's like, well, do your research.
47:16
SPEAKER_03: Like you're giving the synthetic stuff, like I'm not.
47:19
SPEAKER_03: And, you know, telling women who have breast cancer.
47:22
SPEAKER_03: Now, I have full disclosure, I'm not saying you need to speak with your oncologist, but we now know that we can give women with breast cancer vaginal estrogen.
47:30
SPEAKER_03: I was giving that eight years ago because it's safe to do.
47:35
SPEAKER_03: So we are 20, 30 years behind.
47:38
SPEAKER_03: We really are.
47:39
SPEAKER_03: And the we're having to speed all that stuff up because now patients are coming and they're like, no, no, no, no, no.
47:45
SPEAKER_03: I'm taking control of my health.
47:47
SPEAKER_03: Thank you for trying to help me.
47:48
SPEAKER_03: And they're not putting up with people who aren't going to listen to them.
47:51
SPEAKER_02: Well, there's a huge movement, and and you know, physicians that are going, hey, all this stuff is uh horrible.
47:57
SPEAKER_02: Like those big pharma shit's all it's not really helping.
47:59
SPEAKER_02: I they and these are smart people that have their own knowledge.
48:03
SPEAKER_02: And there, that's why, I mean, even Doc the uh Dr.
48:05
SPEAKER_02: Ravi, he rolled up his entire practice because he's like, I see the writing on the wall.
48:09
SPEAKER_02: This is horrible.
48:10
SPEAKER_02: They're not really taking care of it.
48:11
SPEAKER_03: A lot of physicians, I think, in my opinion, are just kind of stuck in their old ways, right?
48:15
SPEAKER_03: Like you get in, you go do your practice, and you just go through the grind.
48:18
SPEAKER_03: You're just like, I just go to work every day, I see my patients, I'm not gonna change what I do.
48:21
SPEAKER_03: And who has time to go home and read articles to stay up on evidence-based practice?
48:27
SPEAKER_03: Honestly, I don't have time to go home and read two, three articles a night.
48:31
SPEAKER_03: So you're just kind of doing the best you can.
48:34
SPEAKER_03: And I think that they're just comfortable and it's easy to be comfortable, right?
48:38
SPEAKER_02: You like you said, the malpractice and the insurance, you kind of get pushed into a box.
48:42
SPEAKER_03: You do.
48:42
SPEAKER_02: And you and then what happens is it's just like anybody in their careers, you kind of just hover in a space that works.
48:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
48:48
SPEAKER_02: And then you just it's hard to be innovative, you know.
48:51
SPEAKER_03: Also listen to your patient, right?
48:52
SPEAKER_03: Like partial hysterectomy, um, you know, sounds like she had some other things going on, but everyone wants to just band-aid it, just kind of shut her up and get her on her way.
49:02
SPEAKER_03: Um, no one actually sits down and let's say she didn't want to do HRT.
49:05
SPEAKER_03: There's a lot of patients that don't feel comfortable taking hormones, and that's okay too.
49:09
SPEAKER_03: But let's find other solutions to help get you through that.
49:12
SPEAKER_03: Cause there's a lot of natural supplements or support measures, such as peptides, things like that, that you can take safely.
49:19
SPEAKER_03: It doesn't always have to be a medication, you know, that's prescribed.
49:23
SPEAKER_02: Um, let's get into peptides.
49:25
SPEAKER_03: I know, let's go.
49:26
SPEAKER_02: So, all right.
49:27
SPEAKER_02: So, Joe, I want you to talk a little bit about because just so everybody knows, Heather and Joe were talking before this.
49:33
SPEAKER_02: We and Heather kind of collaborating, collaborating on like kind of the content for this podcast.
49:37
SPEAKER_02: Joe sits down and said, Joe, let's talk about strategy a little bit.
49:40
SPEAKER_02: And then they just geeked out on the on Pepsi.
49:42
SPEAKER_02: I was like, Hey, get a third mic and throw it up here.
49:44
SPEAKER_02: Let's just have a talk about it.
49:45
SPEAKER_02: So um, I want you to talk a little bit about just uh what was it?
49:49
SPEAKER_02: Did you would you overdose on again?
49:53
SPEAKER_02: So what was it that you need on?
49:55
SPEAKER_00: I I'm okay.
49:56
SPEAKER_00: And there was a good thing from that overdose that happened.
50:00
SPEAKER_00: Um full disclosure.
50:03
SPEAKER_00: So we me and my wife, we were trying, we obviously have two amazing boys, and we wanted our baby girl.
50:10
SPEAKER_00: And so um I I was like telling her, I was like, you know what, this is just not working.
50:16
SPEAKER_02: Like, I feel like I enjoyed the practice, but it wasn't it.
50:20
SPEAKER_02: It wasn't working, it wasn't happening.
50:22
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, you know what?
50:22
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna get back on.
50:24
SPEAKER_00: So I went to my doctor.
50:25
SPEAKER_00: I got for honestly for the first time ever, because I prior to that I had done HGH one time.
50:33
SPEAKER_00: I did not like it, I didn't feel I needed it, but I was like, you know what?
50:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, I know there's more studies on it if you do the right dosing.
50:41
SPEAKER_00: And so my doctor, you know, he he's like, look, let's get you on a small dose and it's gonna help you with, you know, maybe some sleep, your knees, bodybuilder, you know, football player.
50:53
SPEAKER_00: So I got on it, and lo and behold, again, I had the full protocol ready at my hands, delivered to my door, everything.
51:02
SPEAKER_00: And I had some old ins, I'm gonna just use it insulin needles and syringes, meaning they're brand new, but they're just from an old batch of other peptides that I was using.
51:15
SPEAKER_00: I I was like, okay, well, I'm gonna use those instead of the ones that came in the kit.
51:19
SPEAKER_00: I I don't know why.
51:21
SPEAKER_00: And let's just say um seven days in I finished the entire vial, and I'm I'm I'm like sweating at night, my hands are like swollen, I'm my abs feel like they have a pump 24-7.
51:36
SPEAKER_00: And I mean, my sex drive was great, Hannah wasn't complaining about it, and 30 days later, she's pregnant.
51:46
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I've been trying for like three, four months prior to that.
51:50
SPEAKER_00: So literally, I overdosed because I was not following the protocol, I wasn't understanding this needle and syringe was different than what the one that they gave me.
52:00
SPEAKER_00: So, again, if you don't know what you're mixing, and this is a part of the Pepsi.
52:05
SPEAKER_03: We should probably give full disclosure here, though.
52:07
SPEAKER_03: Do not go out and seek HGH to try to have for doing it.
52:11
SPEAKER_00: No, no, I don't recommend it.
52:12
SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
52:12
SPEAKER_00: Even though my daughter is very cute and she's smart and great.
52:16
SPEAKER_03: But all the things that means the point is it's a story.
52:19
SPEAKER_03: There's a point to this.
52:20
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
52:20
SPEAKER_00: There's a point to be made to where the yes, it was it's a funny story to share, like we all do, but it's the point behind when you do go to the right person and you follow what they're giving you, because Vadim and Sarah are literally just like you, and that's why I I think I like you because you remind me of them in their practice um back in California.
52:44
SPEAKER_00: You know, if I would have just listened to them and used their syringe and needles and mixing, I would have been fine.
52:50
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
52:50
SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe my daughter wouldn't have been born, I don't know.
52:53
SPEAKER_00: But um, the the concept here is it's so important to really understand what you're doing, how you're doing it, and every dosing is different, whether it's peptides, testosterone.
53:04
SPEAKER_00: I mean, even for me, just my years, I you know, I can get into like the whole testosterone part two.
53:12
SPEAKER_00: The longer you can prolong it, whether you're you know, mid-20s, 30s, 40s, if you do not need it, do not take it.
53:21
SPEAKER_03: Correct.
53:21
SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the best advice I can give anyone.
53:24
SPEAKER_03: And so many people, I think a lot of people just jump on a fad, right?
53:27
SPEAKER_03: And they want quick fixes.
53:28
SPEAKER_03: So they think, oh, well, they're doing it and they're doing it.
53:31
SPEAKER_03: And if I can just push myself full of testosterone and all of these peptides, I can just shred and I can lose weight and I'm gonna bulk up and I'm gonna feel better and I'm gonna do all the things.
53:43
SPEAKER_03: Well, guess what?
53:44
SPEAKER_03: Hard work doesn't come overnight.
53:46
SPEAKER_03: And and you got to put the work into it too.
53:48
SPEAKER_03: And to your, you know, um, you know, statement on dosing, the amount of people that are getting peptides from, you know, their construction guy, their best friend, their hairdresser, like black market.
54:04
SPEAKER_03: The black market, mind-blowing.
54:07
SPEAKER_03: First of all, they're not getting labs.
54:09
SPEAKER_03: Second of all, they don't come with dosing because it's actually a gray market area where these peptide tested on animals companies, yep, that have COIs where all the main ingredients come from China, anyways.
54:23
SPEAKER_03: And they're just putting it in their body.
54:25
SPEAKER_03: They have no idea how much to put in, they have no idea how much to mix with your bacteriostatic water.
54:31
SPEAKER_03: And my thought from a medical perspective is okay, first off, why would you ever just inject a white powder in a bottle that you have no flipping clue what's in it?
54:42
SPEAKER_03: The person telling you how to mix it, where did they get that from?
54:45
SPEAKER_03: Because if you go to any of those websites, they're not gonna give you that information.
54:49
SPEAKER_03: Um, or whoever's giving it to you is coming from that facility.
54:52
SPEAKER_03: And are they medical?
54:54
SPEAKER_03: Probably not.
54:55
SPEAKER_03: Um, and then now you have these different peptides.
54:58
SPEAKER_03: How do you even know what you can mix with mix?
55:00
SPEAKER_03: What's synergistic?
55:01
SPEAKER_03: What isn't synergistic?
55:02
SPEAKER_02: Well, this is this is what I want to talk about.
55:04
SPEAKER_02: This is important because this is one of the big reasons for this podcast.
55:07
SPEAKER_02: First and foremost, I'll I want to share my little bit of my story because when we opened up the gym, the amount of people that were coming in here to do this MM MLM, buy this peptide, and are you selling peptides out of here?
55:17
SPEAKER_02: Bullshit.
55:18
SPEAKER_02: Uh, it made me actually kind of sick to my stomach.
55:20
SPEAKER_02: I did not realize how saturated this industry was.
55:24
SPEAKER_02: And and and we'll talk on this real quick.
55:26
SPEAKER_02: I I was taking two, I have I've tried uh peptides, two different manufacturers.
55:32
SPEAKER_02: Both times didn't work for me.
55:34
SPEAKER_02: This last time, all I was taking was BPC 157 and uh and uh what was that?
55:40
SPEAKER_02: K KPV, and that was just for inflammation.
55:42
SPEAKER_00: Not TV?
55:44
SPEAKER_02: I was not taking that.
55:45
SPEAKER_02: It was just BPC, right?
55:47
SPEAKER_02: So I was just taking these two small peptides, and I I felt worse than I've ever felt.
55:51
SPEAKER_02: And I got off of them and I'm like, well, I feel better, I sleep better, I'm like, I have more energy.
55:55
SPEAKER_02: Like, what a what a nightmare.
55:57
SPEAKER_02: But everybody you see is taking peptides is like ranting and raving about it.
56:01
SPEAKER_02: But there are a lot of people too, and this is where I want to tell everyone is I'm also, but I'm the one getting the calls of people that are saying, Hey, these peptides made me sick.
56:09
SPEAKER_02: And I've had two people now, including Amy, go to the hospital because her heart was bothering her, and she was on uh it was no not Reddit, something else, but um, she was on something else, and she's like, I had to go to the hospital.
56:19
SPEAKER_02: And and then, and then Matt got really sick, and he was on peptides too.
56:24
SPEAKER_02: And and then he they so now they're no longer on peptides, but they're good to go.
56:27
SPEAKER_02: So I think what it is is the it's the importance of getting your blood work done, is so crazy.
56:31
SPEAKER_02: And here was the biggest hook for me that really opened my eyes.
56:35
SPEAKER_02: This guy, hey, I gotta introduce you to this guy.
56:37
SPEAKER_02: So he comes in and he starts talking to me.
56:38
SPEAKER_02: I said, Hey, do you have any labs for it?
56:39
SPEAKER_02: And he goes, sure.
56:40
SPEAKER_02: And he pulls up the labs and he tries to show me like some and I memorized the the number.
56:44
SPEAKER_02: That's because he didn't know where who I was.
56:46
SPEAKER_02: Like how I'm a numbers guy, so I can remember stuff like that.
56:49
SPEAKER_02: I remembered a number that he had, like, as far as I like um like a recording number and then the name of that company.
56:55
SPEAKER_02: And I looked it up, and that name of that company didn't exist.
56:58
SPEAKER_02: And then I pumped in that number with other like third-party labs that I know of, and that didn't exist either.
57:03
SPEAKER_02: So he's literally trying to pull out labs, saying that he's got labs for a product he's selling, and I put money on it, he doesn't even know what he's selling.
57:10
SPEAKER_02: So I started asking him questions because of the way how easy it was for him to pull it up.
57:13
SPEAKER_02: His background, what he does, and what you're gonna realize is these guys really don't have real careers.
57:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, these guys do so.
57:19
SPEAKER_02: If these guys don't have real real careers at all, they're not this this is just a side hustle for them and they're still working at you know, Target.
57:25
SPEAKER_03: When you make fast money, I mean it's fast.
57:27
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's amazing how much they'll show out to get the peptides.
57:31
SPEAKER_02: Dude, I mean it's it's it's it's actually disgusting.
57:34
SPEAKER_02: And I and I want to make sure, and this is important because if we're gonna bring this quality of care like you into this facility, I want people to know they need to get their blood work done and have a professional review that and then depending on what you're trying to accomplish, talk to you about it, and then you guys come up with whatever conclusion you need to come up with.
57:52
SPEAKER_02: But it is, I will not touch this shit unless I get my blood.
57:55
SPEAKER_03: You know, the FDA hasn't approved a lot of these, right?
57:58
SPEAKER_03: So you need to be getting these from an actual compounding pharmacy or a pharmacy because now, you know, they're moving on the tiers.
58:05
SPEAKER_03: So we've got an approval where a lot of these are gonna shift over and we can get them through these pharmacies.
58:10
SPEAKER_03: So that is the safe way to do it.
58:12
SPEAKER_03: You know where they're coming from, you know, they're cleared, they're approved, they the FDA stamp of approval.
58:18
SPEAKER_03: And I know a lot of people are gonna say, oh, the FDA, you know, I don't I trust them as far as I can throw them.
58:23
SPEAKER_03: So it, but at least we're getting things from a legit source, right?
58:27
SPEAKER_03: I have to give my licensure, my DEA.
58:30
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was over a week just to get through the credentialing process of these multiple pharmacies to make sure we're doing it safely, to make sure that they're being regulated safely.
58:41
SPEAKER_03: And then we know the product that we're going to get or these support measures are going to be pure and what you're putting into your body is pure.
58:48
SPEAKER_03: And now, can you have side effects from different things?
58:51
SPEAKER_03: Yes, but that's why you need a healthcare professional monitoring you, following you.
58:55
SPEAKER_03: What that was kind of my next point is you're gonna go get it from, you know, your neighbor.
59:00
SPEAKER_03: Let's say you have a reaction.
59:02
SPEAKER_03: What are they gonna do about it?
59:05
SPEAKER_03: Nothing.
59:05
SPEAKER_03: They can't treat you.
59:07
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
59:08
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
59:09
SPEAKER_03: And it's like, no, you need a healthcare professional that's kind of educating you, checking up on you, watching you, and saying, okay, you know, and putting you on correct dosages, right?
59:18
SPEAKER_03: We need to make sure we're mixing it correctly, make sure that you have an understanding of exactly how much I'm not gonna inject the same amount of NAD that you're gonna inject.
59:27
SPEAKER_03: I am a lot you push that.
59:29
SPEAKER_03: There are lots of side effects.
59:31
SPEAKER_03: You push that too fast with me, and you're gonna find me on the ground, right?
59:34
SPEAKER_03: And there has to be protocols and you have to cycle off of these things.
59:38
SPEAKER_00: That is so important.
59:39
SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you brought that up because uh my my recent experience, my favorite peptide, honestly, right now, I've done a handful and I I could say them, but C Max has been I I have ADD, had it and diagnosed for 15, 20 years now.
59:55
SPEAKER_00: And it really has been something to help with my cognitive focus.
1:00:00
SPEAKER_00: I do know just like with anything, you drink a Red Bull every day, you're gonna end up needing two, then three, and then you're like, okay, well, what how much is too much?
1:00:10
SPEAKER_00: And is it really working?
1:00:11
SPEAKER_00: So, just like with adrenal glands, you need to reset them and take a break.
1:00:16
SPEAKER_00: Same with peptide, same with other things.
1:00:18
SPEAKER_00: You know, if your estrogen gets too high, you need to figure out do you need estrogen blockers with your testosterone dosing?
1:00:24
SPEAKER_00: Yes, and control those things.
1:00:25
SPEAKER_00: So, same with those.
1:00:27
SPEAKER_00: So, CMAX to me has been my saving grace.
1:00:30
SPEAKER_00: Brain fog has disappeared, my cognitive focus, my attention to detail, especially with my ADD, allows me to focus, stay sharp.
1:00:37
SPEAKER_00: And you could take it a couple times a day.
1:00:39
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so you can a lot of people used that to get off Adderall.
1:00:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's that's what I did.
1:00:43
SPEAKER_00: It helped me for a while.
1:00:45
SPEAKER_00: But going into month three is when I realize I do need to take that break because it was not working the same.
1:00:52
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, damn, do I need a triple this dose?
1:00:55
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, no, Joe, you've been a trainer for 10 years, you've done this.
1:00:59
SPEAKER_00: Take a break for two months and see how you feel.
1:01:01
SPEAKER_00: And it worked.
1:01:02
SPEAKER_00: Even my wife, it did, it worked the same way with her.
1:01:05
SPEAKER_03: Well, our body is a feedback loop, right?
1:01:07
SPEAKER_03: So that's how our body communicates.
1:01:09
SPEAKER_03: It it has tons of signaling pathways.
1:01:12
SPEAKER_03: Um, and one part works with another, but you have to have the communication.
1:01:17
SPEAKER_03: And when you saturate that communication, it's not gonna work anymore.
1:01:20
SPEAKER_03: The feedback loop stops and says we don't need to produce this.
1:01:23
SPEAKER_03: Um, take for example, uh, if you were to do like ipomorin, right?
1:01:27
SPEAKER_03: So it's that is a peptide that is gonna stimulate your natural growth hormone.
1:01:33
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:01:33
SPEAKER_03: So it's gonna work on your pituitary gland.
1:01:35
SPEAKER_03: But if I constantly, if I take too much, if I saturate too much, it's gonna stop producing.
1:01:42
SPEAKER_03: You know, the pituitary gland is not going to do what it needs to do because why am I?
1:01:48
SPEAKER_03: I'm getting it exogenously, meaning, you know, from an outside source.
1:01:51
SPEAKER_03: So I don't need to work correctly.
1:01:53
SPEAKER_03: So you have to be careful.
1:01:55
SPEAKER_03: There is medicine for a reason.
1:01:57
SPEAKER_03: And I think that people are kind of going on this movement of like anti-medicine, right?
1:02:02
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not going to the doctor and I'm, you know, I'm not taking medicine and big pharma and all of these things.
1:02:08
SPEAKER_03: No, there are still some good ones left.
1:02:11
SPEAKER_03: Like there are still a lot of us left that truly want to help you succeed with your health journey.
1:02:17
SPEAKER_03: Just do it the safe way.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_03: And here's my thing.
1:02:19
SPEAKER_03: When peptides first came out, I'm not gonna lie, even my husband included, we're like, okay, like heebie jeeby stuff, like this is just a new fad.
1:02:27
SPEAKER_03: Your bodies have peptides in them.
1:02:29
SPEAKER_03: Like you can get them, you know, through other measures.
1:02:32
SPEAKER_03: You don't need to be taking, you know, injections of peptides.
1:02:36
SPEAKER_03: Well, if you really so I dive in.
1:02:40
SPEAKER_03: This is this is how I work, and this is where people need to understand me.
1:02:44
SPEAKER_03: Um, and that's what I hope they get out of this podcast is I I'm not a fly by the seat of my pants.
1:02:50
SPEAKER_03: I love challenges.
1:02:51
SPEAKER_03: I love them.
1:02:52
SPEAKER_03: If you have a six kid.
1:02:55
SPEAKER_03: Hey, I don't have a uterus, but guess what?
1:02:57
SPEAKER_03: I'll find a way.
1:02:58
SPEAKER_03: Um no, but I love them.
1:03:01
SPEAKER_03: And the reason I do is because my brain works at how can I make this better?
1:03:04
SPEAKER_03: How can I help?
1:03:05
SPEAKER_03: And it's helping people.
1:03:06
SPEAKER_03: And and that comes with my friends, family, patients, whatever.
1:03:09
SPEAKER_03: So I said, okay, fine, everybody's gonna do these peptides, whether or not I like it, the amount of people that were coming into my office wanting peptides and GLPs and all the things.
1:03:19
SPEAKER_03: So what do I do?
1:03:21
SPEAKER_03: I need to learn about them.
1:03:22
SPEAKER_03: I need to become educated on them, but how can I do it safely?
1:03:25
SPEAKER_03: So over the last probably 12 months, I would say, maybe a little bit less, I dove in.
1:03:33
SPEAKER_03: My husband was still not on board, but now in the orthopedic world for recovery, huh?
1:03:40
SPEAKER_03: Yes, and VPU, yes.
1:03:42
SPEAKER_03: So there is, I'm not gonna go down that train.
1:03:45
SPEAKER_03: I think that will be a different one, but we'll bring him on.
1:03:47
SPEAKER_03: The amount, good luck.
1:03:50
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna try.
1:03:51
SPEAKER_03: But the the amount of people that are actually reporting improvement of their symptoms, right?
1:03:58
SPEAKER_03: Go ask any of the uh hospitals, striker reps, all of these that do joint replacements.
1:04:05
SPEAKER_03: Guess what?
1:04:05
SPEAKER_03: Their census is low.
1:04:08
SPEAKER_03: Well, why is that?
1:04:09
SPEAKER_03: Weight reduction from GLP1s, peptide use, peptide therapy for sure with BP157 and TB500, you know, getting that inflammation down.
1:04:18
SPEAKER_03: Um, but you have to be careful with those because it does um vascular vessel and geogenesis.
1:04:25
SPEAKER_03: It will re-globe blood vessels.
1:04:27
SPEAKER_03: If you're not getting your blood work to test, to see if you have elevated markers and you may have some cancerous tumors, things like that, you're feeding a beast that you don't want to feed and you can't take it back.
1:04:38
SPEAKER_03: So there is medicine behind doing this.
1:04:43
SPEAKER_03: Just find somebody that you trust and that's safe and that's willing to work with you and not against you.
1:04:47
SPEAKER_02: And that's the real reasons we're here.
1:04:49
SPEAKER_02: Making people need to understand the importance of one, getting your blood work done, have a professional look at your blood work and really give you the, you know, the the guidance based on what you're trying to, what you're what you're shooting for.
1:04:58
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:04:58
SPEAKER_02: And then, and then um, what was I saying?
1:05:01
SPEAKER_02: Two, what else was I gonna talk about?
1:05:03
SPEAKER_02: Just the importance of making sure that you are taking it properly and and and that there's so many people out there slanging these things.
1:05:09
SPEAKER_02: You gotta be given it.
1:05:11
SPEAKER_00: I want to touch on something to use the comparison of like kind of where you're going with, you know, don't just go buy it from the contractor down the street or your neighbor.
1:05:22
SPEAKER_00: I look at this the same way as my wife's cousin.
1:05:26
SPEAKER_00: He was 18 and never did drugs.
1:05:30
SPEAKER_00: He was a surfer, hiker, and he bought one five dollar painkill, zelled someone, and he fucking overdosed and died at 18.
1:05:44
SPEAKER_00: Wow, it broke our entire family's heart.
1:05:47
SPEAKER_00: Prior to that, I've had cousins on my side as well that have overdosed and not pass away.
1:05:54
SPEAKER_00: But I look at it this way: even when my wife went to Scottsale, I said, if you take one pill that is not stamped from a pharmacy, and you cannot see.
1:06:05
SPEAKER_00: And that's why, honestly, like when I got popped going to Vegas because I didn't want to bring my Adderall bottle and I put it in my little uh my mints, and they're like, if you don't have your thing, and I was like, Thankfully, I literally I took A picture of it in my hand because I was like, God forbid, something or I'm gonna just shove it in my mouth.
1:06:25
SPEAKER_00: Worst case.
1:06:26
SPEAKER_00: And that's why they're so picky because people are you know, pressed pills is that you should look at that the same way with peptides, black market, TRT stuff.
1:06:38
SPEAKER_00: It's so serious because you don't know what you're doing.
1:06:40
SPEAKER_00: And if you did not go get the vaccine, or even if you did, you got to look at it that way too.
1:06:47
SPEAKER_00: You have no idea what's gonna be there's not enough research.
1:06:50
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
1:06:51
SPEAKER_00: Or do your research because it is out there, but you gotta open and see it for your own eyes, or trust in someone like yourself.
1:06:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:06:57
SPEAKER_02: Well, and it's becoming a bigger movement just simply because healthcare costs are going up.
1:07:01
SPEAKER_02: And and really, like I said before, you know, people really just don't believe in big pharma as much.
1:07:05
SPEAKER_02: And insurance is an issue.
1:07:07
SPEAKER_02: I could talk on that, but I don't want to waste our time on that.
1:07:10
SPEAKER_02: But, you know, even with what Shane went through for his surgery and all the stuff that happened there, and just insurance has been a change.
1:07:15
SPEAKER_03: It goes down the HRT, it goes down the HRT train, just like I told you.
1:07:18
SPEAKER_03: You know, eight years ago, everyone was, I mean, I was getting some nasty comments from other providers because I'm giving HRT and now all of a sudden it's amazing and it's great and it's beneficial, and we should have been offering it a long time ago and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
1:07:32
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think the same thing is gonna come true with peptides, right?
1:07:35
SPEAKER_03: It's that first initial phase, just like GLP one when it came out.
1:07:38
SPEAKER_03: Now all of a sudden it's, you know, people are gonna have bad reactions, so you're gonna have the other side of the story, but everyone's different.
1:07:43
SPEAKER_03: There's gonna be good, there's gonna be bad.
1:07:45
SPEAKER_03: Peptides are gonna be the same thing.
1:07:46
SPEAKER_03: I think they are beneficial.
1:07:48
SPEAKER_03: Do I think that an 18-year-old needs to be taking peptides?
1:07:50
SPEAKER_03: No.
1:07:51
SPEAKER_00: No, they don't.
1:07:52
SPEAKER_00: It's the new fencing.
1:07:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:07:54
SPEAKER_03: And and I'm like, no, you don't.
1:07:55
SPEAKER_03: You have plenty in your body.
1:07:57
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:07:57
SPEAKER_03: This is for, you know, when you're in kind of your middle life and you're moving towards that second phase of your life, right?
1:08:04
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
1:08:04
SPEAKER_03: And real injuries.
1:08:05
SPEAKER_03: So there's various reasons why you would use peptides, but not just because your neighbor said, hey, this is a cool thing to do, or you watch a TikTok influencer.
1:08:14
SPEAKER_03: Like insane to me.
1:08:16
SPEAKER_03: I am not an expert on peptides.
1:08:18
SPEAKER_03: I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on peptides, but I can tell you what, I'm going to make sure I'm not letting you put anything in your body that we haven't cleared you medically.
1:08:27
SPEAKER_03: I've gotten a thorough history on you, ensured that your blood work is good.
1:08:32
SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
1:08:32
SPEAKER_03: We might find other things in your blood work that open up to a whole nother avenue, get you on a health path, and then we start slow and and we work our way.
1:08:41
SPEAKER_03: And what are your goals?
1:08:43
SPEAKER_03: And we move that way.
1:08:44
SPEAKER_03: Endometriosis.
1:08:45
SPEAKER_03: There's a huge one coming out for endometriosis.
1:08:48
SPEAKER_03: I can't wait for that.
1:08:49
SPEAKER_03: It is going to change so many women's lives.
1:08:52
SPEAKER_03: Like I could go on and on.
1:08:54
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for sure.
1:08:55
SPEAKER_03: On and on.
1:08:55
SPEAKER_02: So, you know, so let's talk about a little bit more on the insurance side because that's been a pain in everyone's ass.
1:09:00
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:09:01
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:09:01
SPEAKER_02: Um, and and all the way insurance on pretty much everything.
1:09:04
SPEAKER_02: And I always talk about it on other podcasts about you know construction insurance.
1:09:07
SPEAKER_02: I'm talking about health insurance.
1:09:08
SPEAKER_02: You know, you were having a really hard time with with your providers and with, you know, obviously paperwork.
1:09:13
SPEAKER_02: What was what was the biggest issue for you guys?
1:09:16
SPEAKER_02: Were your clients getting denied after you got cleared?
1:09:19
SPEAKER_02: I mean, like what was just the issue?
1:09:21
SPEAKER_02: Just more paperwork, more problems, more.
1:09:23
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:09:23
SPEAKER_03: So insurance has gotten to the point where now we do everything electronically, right?
1:09:28
SPEAKER_03: Long time ago, you could write your note for your patient on a piece of paper and you they came in.
1:09:33
SPEAKER_03: Let's just say you came in for right shoulder pain, right?
1:09:35
SPEAKER_03: You come in for right shoulder pain.
1:09:37
SPEAKER_03: I should be able to be like, when did it happen?
1:09:39
SPEAKER_03: You know, did you hurt yourself?
1:09:40
SPEAKER_03: Did it just start doing what'd you do for work?
1:09:42
SPEAKER_03: Were you know, were you always lifting above your head?
1:09:44
SPEAKER_03: When does it bother you?
1:09:45
SPEAKER_03: What's your pain level?
1:09:46
SPEAKER_03: Kind of go on.
1:09:47
SPEAKER_03: Give you a treatment plan, and you should be able to go on your merry way and have your treatment plan.
1:09:52
SPEAKER_03: Now, half the people have to get a referral from their primary care.
1:09:56
SPEAKER_03: Prime example.
1:09:56
SPEAKER_03: We just heard that prime example.
1:09:58
SPEAKER_03: You know, Rob comes in, knee pain.
1:10:02
SPEAKER_03: And this is a really this has really happened today, but this happened today, and Rob doesn't care that we're talking about this.
1:10:07
SPEAKER_03: This is not a HIPAA HIPAA uh issue.
1:10:09
SPEAKER_00: Um I encouraged it and then force you.
1:10:12
SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes, he did.
1:10:13
SPEAKER_03: He's fine.
1:10:14
SPEAKER_03: Um, but uh knee had a knee injury.
1:10:18
SPEAKER_03: He actually came up and said, How can I work around this insurance?
1:10:22
SPEAKER_03: Because he doesn't have a primary care, has to find one or call his insurance company, which then he's gonna call.
1:10:29
SPEAKER_03: Hopefully he'll get through to the office, or they may call back in 24 hour business, 24 business hours, wait two or three weeks to get in, you know, um then get referred.
1:10:39
SPEAKER_03: Then get referred.
1:10:40
SPEAKER_03: Then you have to wait for that office to process the referral.
1:10:43
SPEAKER_03: So we're talking weeks.
1:10:44
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:10:45
SPEAKER_03: But you want to know what everyone's solution is.
1:10:46
SPEAKER_03: Well, just go to urgent care of the ER.
1:10:48
SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
1:10:48
SPEAKER_03: So let's clog our ERs up, which are already four or five hours behind.
1:10:56
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
1:10:56
SPEAKER_03: So you're you're here you are with knee pain because you can't get into the system, but you have no other option because you're in pain, you can't walk.
1:11:05
SPEAKER_03: What do you do?
1:11:06
SPEAKER_03: It's a broken system.
1:11:08
SPEAKER_03: Insurance is the driving factor because they do not make it easy to get quick access to healthcare.
1:11:14
SPEAKER_03: Now, let's say you don't need a primary care referral, right?
1:11:17
SPEAKER_03: Let's say he could just go to any orthopedic office.
1:11:20
SPEAKER_03: Um, he'll go and get in, hopefully soon.
1:11:23
SPEAKER_03: Usually acute injuries, you can get in fairly quickly.
1:11:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, give a shout out to Anderson Orthopedics here.
1:11:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's right.
1:11:29
SPEAKER_03: Um, can get in very quickly, but then you get in, and then let's just say Dr.
1:11:34
SPEAKER_03: Anderson says you need an MRI, right?
1:11:37
SPEAKER_03: We do your x-ray, I give an exam, I think you have an ACL tear, you need an MRI.
1:11:42
SPEAKER_03: Now I have to get a prior authorization.
1:11:44
SPEAKER_03: Your insurance company has to approve that the doctor said you need an MRI.
1:11:50
SPEAKER_03: And do you know how many times we get denials?
1:11:53
SPEAKER_03: So then you have to do what's called either submit more medical records.
1:11:57
SPEAKER_03: So now you're clogging your staff down to send more records.
1:12:02
SPEAKER_03: That's why they're not answering the phone because they have to do all of this, or the doctor has to do a peer-to-peer review.
1:12:07
SPEAKER_03: So that means he has to get on the phone and talk with somebody who may or may not be an orthopedic surgeon to convince them why his exam and his findings justify an MRI or a surgery for this patient.
1:12:22
SPEAKER_02: Dude, this is retarded.
1:12:23
SPEAKER_03: A hundred percent.
1:12:25
SPEAKER_03: Like we went to school, let us read it.
1:12:28
SPEAKER_03: But the reason is is because you have all the people that were doing fraudulent things.
1:12:31
SPEAKER_03: It's it's usually the bad that create the stress for the good.
1:12:35
SPEAKER_00: Can I add to that type of topic?
1:12:38
SPEAKER_00: But on HRT, I want to share a story, and you're probably gonna be so upset in a way, but in a good way, because I connected him with someone like yourself.
1:12:47
SPEAKER_00: So I met this kid in college, he's two years younger than me.
1:12:54
SPEAKER_00: And he he was going into I think he finished four-year college in three years.
1:13:00
SPEAKER_00: Like, I remember I was like, dude, how like how do you think?
1:13:03
SPEAKER_00: Anyways, I trained him to go into CHM and I beat him up.
1:13:09
SPEAKER_00: His drive was great.
1:13:11
SPEAKER_00: After he got in, you know, he always asked, like, hey man, I kind of want to get on something, blah, blah, blah.
1:13:16
SPEAKER_00: I said, Look, get through everything, get in, be in for at least like a year, and then let me know where you're at, and then we can get you set up with the doctor.
1:13:26
SPEAKER_00: Come back, train him.
1:13:27
SPEAKER_00: And he comes to me and he's like, Yeah, I'm ready.
1:13:31
SPEAKER_00: I said, Look, I will I will connect you, but they're gonna tell you you're on bloodload.
1:13:36
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
1:13:37
SPEAKER_00: I asked him all these things prior to going to the doctor.
1:13:40
SPEAKER_00: I said, How's your sex drive?
1:13:43
SPEAKER_00: How many times a week are you having sex with your wife?
1:13:46
SPEAKER_00: And I said, Are you sleeping good?
1:13:49
SPEAKER_00: All those simple things, just so I could see.
1:13:51
SPEAKER_00: Because I trained him and he had a lot of stubborn lower body fat, a little bit, you know, man boobs in a way, but he wasn't fat.
1:13:59
SPEAKER_00: He just was chubby.
1:14:00
SPEAKER_00: And I was like kicking his ass, and he still couldn't shed it.
1:14:04
SPEAKER_00: And I said, I bet you anything you have low testosterone.
1:14:07
SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Dude, maybe once or twice a month, have sex?
1:14:10
SPEAKER_04: And I was like, Yeah, yeah, no way.
1:14:13
SPEAKER_00: So I said, I bet you you're under 200.
1:14:17
SPEAKER_00: So one I want to ask just to add like a little hook here, because I feel like a lot of people don't know what the average range should be.
1:14:24
SPEAKER_00: But long story short, he was 182 at 21 years old.
1:14:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:14:30
SPEAKER_03: So let me let me piggyback off of that.
1:14:33
SPEAKER_03: So obviously in women's health, I, you know, I can do some primary care too, and a lot of times women bring their spouse.
1:14:39
SPEAKER_03: Think about how many divorces occur because male hormone therapy is not addressed.
1:14:49
SPEAKER_03: It's always a woman has a problem if they can't get pregnant or whatever, right?
1:14:52
SPEAKER_03: And maybe we'll do a semen analysis at that time, but men present a little bit different.
1:14:57
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it's not even low libido, right?
1:14:59
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it's not even the ED or low libido, it's irritability, temper, rage, extreme fatigue, um, body fat, right?
1:15:09
SPEAKER_03: Where they just don't understand what's going on.
1:15:13
SPEAKER_03: And so many people take it to it's the stressors of my daily life.
1:15:16
SPEAKER_03: We have kids now.
1:15:17
SPEAKER_03: You know, you're not the same person you were when we got married.
1:15:20
SPEAKER_03: Well, no, you're not the same person, right?
1:15:22
SPEAKER_03: So then it's this battle of like, well, the woman's hormones are changing, the man's may not have any, but we're only kind of addressing one person.
1:15:29
SPEAKER_03: Um, the amount of men that I have actually tested and brought this up to um and found that their testosterone is below 200 is insane.
1:15:43
SPEAKER_02: Well, that's look, that goes into food and this that's a whole nother conversation.
1:15:47
SPEAKER_02: We need to do a whole nother podcast on this because men's testosterone levels are dropping like more than any time in history.
1:15:53
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
1:15:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:15:53
SPEAKER_02: And I just respect what you just brought up.
1:15:56
SPEAKER_03: People work out in the heat.
1:15:57
SPEAKER_03: Heat is the worst thing for semen.
1:16:01
SPEAKER_03: So when you have men, you know, and they're trying this fertility journey, and the woman's like, everything's fine, and my labs are good, and my ultrasound and everything, do a sperm count, and I'm like, Well, what do you do for work?
1:16:10
SPEAKER_03: It's one of the first questions I ask.
1:16:12
SPEAKER_03: Works construction.
1:16:13
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, okay, well, you need a cool, let's just take maybe take a break during the summer and then we'll refocus at the winter.
1:16:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:16:19
SPEAKER_03: But it but it's but again, no one's asking the questions and no one talks about it.
1:16:24
SPEAKER_03: It's an uncomfortable conversation.
1:16:26
SPEAKER_02: So that's a testament to what you keep saying.
1:16:27
SPEAKER_02: It's like you're not people the the standard practice way is always about insurance and just the stupid little check boxes that really doesn't help.
1:16:34
SPEAKER_03: Get them in, get them out, get them in.
1:16:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it but you're not addressing you know both parties.
1:16:38
SPEAKER_02: I that I like you literally just got I opened my eyes even more to it, but that you nailed it.
1:16:42
SPEAKER_02: That's it.
1:16:43
SPEAKER_02: And it's sad.
1:16:44
SPEAKER_03: I do feel a lot of relationships fail because men aren't being tested, or it's the opposite.
1:16:50
SPEAKER_03: They're not getting their blood work, and then they're just like, hey, put me on some testosterone, give me some TRT.
1:16:56
SPEAKER_03: Then they go on the opposite end, and then their personality changes, right?
1:17:00
SPEAKER_03: Because they just want to bullphen.
1:17:01
SPEAKER_00: Where the roid rage comes out.
1:17:03
SPEAKER_00: Correct.
1:17:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:17:04
SPEAKER_03: So you can have roid rage with too little or too much, but you need to be tested, you need to be treated appropriately and managed.
1:17:13
SPEAKER_02: And if you have too much testosterone, correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't that hurt your sperm count too?
1:17:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:17:17
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, you'll stop producing.
1:17:18
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:17:19
SPEAKER_03: And and here's what I hate too is these young kids, 22, 21, getting it now, and you can get that stuff easy now, too.
1:17:27
SPEAKER_03: If you want to have children later, good luck.
1:17:30
SPEAKER_03: Good luck.
1:17:31
SPEAKER_03: You are destroying your natural sperm.
1:17:34
SPEAKER_00: They don't know what clomid HCG is, and they're not doing any of that to preserve.
1:17:40
SPEAKER_02: It's not like they have the money to do it either.
1:17:42
SPEAKER_03: And I think, and I think the main point from today isn't about us talk, you know, we're talking about these because we want people to be safe, right?
1:17:50
SPEAKER_03: Like the HGH, the testosterone, hormone, peptides, we're not here giving a spiel of like, do these wonderful things.
1:17:57
SPEAKER_03: They can benefit you and they can support you and your journey if you need them.
1:18:03
SPEAKER_03: But focus on the five core things that we talked about.
1:18:06
SPEAKER_03: Do it safely, have a medical professional monitoring you, get your lab work done, and be followed up.
1:18:12
SPEAKER_03: That's the key takeaway from this.
1:18:14
SPEAKER_02: You know, and and it's it's so cool because when people can really look at it from like a true health and wellness, even like Taryn, right?
1:18:20
SPEAKER_02: She's focused on diet.
1:18:21
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:18:21
SPEAKER_02: And that's really cool because you could focus on, you know, specific things, blood work and what people are trying to accomplish.
1:18:26
SPEAKER_02: You do with a consult uh consultation, but they need if people are really let's say, for example, you look at someone's blood work and they need uh they have certain issues that you through dieting they can fix too.
1:18:36
SPEAKER_02: You know, maybe that's a better direction.
1:18:38
SPEAKER_03: It opens their eyes to maybe I should stop, you know, eating gluten.
1:18:42
SPEAKER_03: You know, I mean that's the easiest one I can think of.
1:18:44
SPEAKER_03: But yes, it does navigate their journey.
1:18:46
SPEAKER_03: And I think what people need to understand is we're just getting started.
1:18:50
SPEAKER_03: I am very happy to be on a path where I feel like I can now, with executive health and and through paradigm, be able to offer an avenue to people for health and wellness, take care of people the way I want to take care of them.
1:19:04
SPEAKER_03: And that goes for all my women's health ladies.
1:19:06
SPEAKER_03: You know, we're not doing PAPs here in the gym, but that may come down the road at a separate spot.
1:19:11
SPEAKER_03: I want to ease back in to my role and my career on a health, healthy pattern for myself and a healthy pattern for for the community.
1:19:22
SPEAKER_03: And we're just gonna keep growing from here.
1:19:24
SPEAKER_03: We have so much in store that I'm excited.
1:19:26
SPEAKER_03: I know it's insane.
1:19:27
SPEAKER_02: What's the what's the Patterson?
1:19:29
SPEAKER_02: What's his name?
1:19:29
SPEAKER_02: Jordan Peterson?
1:19:31
SPEAKER_02: So this actually is a thing that changed my life.
1:19:33
SPEAKER_02: And it just brought up because kind of all the our conversation here.
1:19:36
SPEAKER_02: I remember listening to him, and he had this one, it's like a little quote that he said, and he goes, you know, imagine somebody living a life for 10 years that they they knew they shouldn't be.
1:19:44
SPEAKER_02: Who would they become?
1:19:46
SPEAKER_02: So if you're living a life for 10 years that you know you should not be living, who would you end up becoming?
1:19:51
SPEAKER_02: And that really changed my the way I look at things.
1:19:53
SPEAKER_02: And I feel like for you, you've you've seen the bottlenecks and the issues, you know, again, insurance and certain practices and just kind of how healthcare is at the moment, you know, and it's it's changing and it's getting better.
1:20:04
SPEAKER_02: But now you I feel like you you feel like you you've been able to really now you can expand your wings and you can do exactly what your heart wants you to do.
1:20:10
SPEAKER_02: And that's so executive health is kind of like your second chance at life.
1:20:14
SPEAKER_02: I can only imagine the feeling.
1:20:15
SPEAKER_02: When I turned 40, by the way, remember when everyone called me and they're like, hey man, how's it turned 40?
1:20:19
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I feel like I'm just getting started.
1:20:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:20:22
SPEAKER_02: I feel like I'm just getting started.
1:20:24
SPEAKER_03: Well, and even the prenatal and the postnatal, right?
1:20:27
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not getting away from that.
1:20:28
SPEAKER_03: The amount of women that we can get them started on their prenatal journey, right?
1:20:32
SPEAKER_03: Postpartum recovery, like there's just so much to this that we can't condense into this like short live.
1:20:37
SPEAKER_00: I think that's why we are.
1:20:39
SPEAKER_00: I say we make a vote and we see who's who'd be interested for a separate paradigm ship podcast that's designated to health and wellness and fitness.
1:20:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, ask what questions they have and what they want to hear to do.
1:20:50
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we should do live QA webinars designed for this specific.
1:20:55
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we should just do a live webinar.
1:20:56
SPEAKER_02: We'll have everyone respond, you know, put in their comments what would they like to learn.
1:21:00
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:21:00
SPEAKER_02: You know, we'll do a live webinar and people can ask questions right there on the webinar too.
1:21:03
SPEAKER_00: You know, Mama Bear does have to go pick up her owner.
1:21:07
SPEAKER_02: I know we're gonna catch you.
1:21:08
SPEAKER_02: We're gonna catch you loose.
1:21:09
SPEAKER_02: Family first.
1:21:09
SPEAKER_02: All right, guys.
1:21:10
SPEAKER_02: Thank you all for watching and listening.
1:21:11
SPEAKER_02: I uh really appreciate it as always.
1:21:13
SPEAKER_02: Hopefully, this is fruitful for you.
1:21:14
SPEAKER_02: And this won't be the last for sure.
1:21:15
SPEAKER_02: I think there should be a lot more.
1:21:16
SPEAKER_03: I enjoyed it.
1:21:17
SPEAKER_02: You know, it's funny is you know, Joe, you and I have probably more podcasts on the platform together.
1:21:21
SPEAKER_02: I think Heather's gonna beat you.
1:21:23
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, why not?
1:21:24
SPEAKER_02: Keep bringing that value to you.
1:21:26
SPEAKER_03: I like all three of us.
1:21:26
SPEAKER_03: I think it's great.
1:21:27
SPEAKER_02: This is killer.
1:21:28
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
1:21:29
SPEAKER_02: I love it.
1:21:29
SPEAKER_02: All right, guys, thank you all, and uh on to the next.
1:21:32
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
