- 1:36Speaker 4: It was a combination combination in weeks. Uh, yeah, you're
- 1:39Speaker 4: just getting ready for your promo. You're UFC fight.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Piste cuffs, one tone and the ail up. Buddy.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I know you've told us, you've explained it all right.
- 1:48Speaker 4: I do want to go back to trade as green
- 1:50Speaker 4: with you. One thing that when you have a tight
- 1:54Speaker 4: end like that, you got to be careful with You
- 1:55Speaker 4: don't want to fall into tendencies. You got to make
- 1:57Speaker 4: sure that you're doing some things in the run game
- 1:59Speaker 4: with him, so people don't just follow him knowing he's
- 2:02Speaker 4: going to go out for a route. He's a willing
- 2:03Speaker 4: blocker and so that that's half the battle there. But
- 2:06Speaker 4: when you have a situation when you have a player
- 2:08Speaker 4: like that, and I don't want to call him a twiner,
- 2:10Speaker 4: I always feel like twenty was disrespectful to people when
- 2:12Speaker 4: they'd say that it's just he's a player that's unique.
- 2:15Speaker 4: How do you make sure because again we've got to
- 2:17Speaker 4: go back to what we said, old miss they ran
- 2:20Speaker 4: a football like that's Lane's going to do that. So
- 2:23Speaker 4: how do you make sure that you don't fall into tendencies?
- 2:27Speaker 5: Right? Is it?
- 2:29Speaker 4: You know you're motioning, you move him, you put him
- 2:31Speaker 4: in better situations. Now, he's a big kid, right, being
- 2:34Speaker 4: done a lot of inline blocking. That's not who he is.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So if you want to be an eleven personnel and
- 2:39Speaker 4: run the football, how do you get away with that
- 2:41Speaker 4: with trade a screen?
- 2:42Speaker 5: Well, you can do different things. I mean you can.
- 2:47Speaker 6: You don't have to make him in line completely, but
- 2:49Speaker 6: still part of the running game process. You can stand
- 2:52Speaker 6: him up even though and put him you know, three
- 2:55Speaker 6: four yards off of the tackle.
- 2:56Speaker 5: You can. You can do different things. You can put
- 2:58Speaker 5: him in a lot of motions.
- 2:59Speaker 6: But I mean, you heard with talk about when we
- 3:01Speaker 6: were interviewing him that this year going against that Lane
- 3:05Speaker 6: Kevin offense, they line up in one formation and you
- 3:08Speaker 6: don't there's no tendencies there because it's the same formation, right,
- 3:12Speaker 6: and they they are they're not you know, they're not
- 3:14Speaker 6: tightening up an X receiver or a zero receiver. Motion
- 3:17Speaker 6: and a guy to a certain point in the line
- 3:19Speaker 6: of scrimmage. That gives away certain things, and that is
- 3:21Speaker 6: hard to do. And so what you can do with
- 3:24Speaker 6: a tight end like that is if you have a
- 3:26Speaker 6: running game that you can run. If the defense is
- 3:28Speaker 6: happening to think about six or seven different types of
- 3:31Speaker 6: runs against a certain formation personnel.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Well, that also got.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Them thinking one thing, and then all of a sudden,
- 3:39Speaker 6: you can play action with Trey Dez and get him
- 3:43Speaker 6: a little bit lost in the eyeside. They'll now if
- 3:45Speaker 6: he's split out, of course they're going to be focusing
- 3:47Speaker 6: on him, right, they will focus on him. But once
- 3:49Speaker 6: he's closer to that line of scrimmage, those those interior
- 3:53Speaker 6: seven on the defense, they have to focus on everything.
- 3:56Speaker 6: They got to watch the quarterback, they got watch a
- 3:57Speaker 6: running running back. They read through the the offensive lineman
- 4:01Speaker 6: to see if they're past setting or they run blocking
- 4:04Speaker 6: what it is, and it's easier to get some good
- 4:07Speaker 6: some good matchups for the tied end. Now, is he
- 4:09Speaker 6: gonna be that willing blocker, is gonna put his hand
- 4:11Speaker 6: in the dirt on short yards and goal on I
- 4:13Speaker 6: don't know, I don't know if we've really seen that.
- 4:15Speaker 4: You really don't want him to Probably be that.
- 4:17Speaker 5: You don't have to be that.
- 4:18Speaker 6: But the we're gonna keep talking about that, and this
- 4:21Speaker 6: is going to be a common theme throughout this season
- 4:23Speaker 6: of breaking down the film and talking about this offense.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Is the pace of play, pace of play, pace of play,
- 4:30Speaker 6: the speed at which LSU's offense will operate will allow
- 4:35Speaker 6: them to create advantageous matchups for Trey Does.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Yes, so if.
- 4:43Speaker 6: If you traditional huddle and you traditional take your time
- 4:46Speaker 6: to the line of scrimmage, it gives the defensive opportunity
- 4:49Speaker 6: to make adjustments and make different calls. Hey, safety down
- 4:52Speaker 6: left because Trey Does is over there. Let's let's let's
- 4:55Speaker 6: get somebody. Let's create some sort of the least maybe
- 4:58Speaker 6: not a traditional double team, but some sort of more
- 5:00Speaker 6: body presence in his way. Well, if you're going fast,
- 5:03Speaker 6: you don't have time.
- 5:04Speaker 4: So I'm going to say how much of them going
- 5:06Speaker 4: fast allows them to not get away with things? But
- 5:11Speaker 4: a little bit, yeah, because you can't be as exotic
- 5:14Speaker 4: on defense. I think we saw that a little bit
- 5:15Speaker 4: last year when LSU played him. I mean, remember all
- 5:17Speaker 4: the things Blake Baker was doing and in that week,
- 5:21Speaker 4: you can't really do all of those things. Bringing people
- 5:23Speaker 4: from depth and doing different things.
- 5:25Speaker 6: You can't because guess what, we're going to be going fast,
- 5:28Speaker 6: and Treydez is going to line up in the line
- 5:31Speaker 6: of scrimmage. Then he's going to line up in the backfield,
- 5:33Speaker 6: and then guess what he's going to line up at.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Why the Z receiver out to the strength. Then he's
- 5:37Speaker 6: gonna lie up a slot receiver, and then it's going
- 5:39Speaker 6: to be three by one and he's going to be
- 5:42Speaker 6: the single receiver on the back side. You just don't
- 5:44Speaker 6: know where he's gonna line up, and there's no way
- 5:47Speaker 6: with the speed that they play that like if he
- 5:49Speaker 6: lines up as the X receiver all by himself with
- 5:51Speaker 6: three receivers the other side, we LSU is gonna be
- 5:54Speaker 6: going so fast there's no way for them to change
- 5:57Speaker 6: their coverage or their pressure to protect that backside corner
- 6:01Speaker 6: from having to go one on one with a guy
- 6:02Speaker 6: that's sixty seven probably for a lot of the season
- 6:05Speaker 6: a dB that's five to ten. So it's going to
- 6:08Speaker 6: create matchup problems. That's why a lot of us, and
- 6:12Speaker 6: I'm one of them, think that he could be the
- 6:15Speaker 6: most dynamic and explosive offensive player outside of quarterback. But
- 6:19Speaker 6: one of the more important offensive pieces to any team
- 6:22Speaker 6: in the country this year.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm very excited to see how he utilized because again,
- 6:26Speaker 4: one thing that I don't think people really realize is
- 6:30Speaker 4: how effective Ole Miss was using the tight end position
- 6:33Speaker 4: last year. Like their tight end had over six hundred
- 6:36Speaker 4: receiving yards. It feels like like six guys that over
- 6:40Speaker 4: six hundred they kind of did. That was kind of
- 6:42Speaker 4: like a group of guys where they didn't really have
- 6:43Speaker 4: one standout. It was mostly spread out amongst everybody there.
- 6:47Speaker 4: But I'm trying to pull up what the numbers were
- 6:51Speaker 4: from a year ago. Funny enough, the old intrue net
- 6:55Speaker 4: Oh there's no one immedia dation, No is not the best.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So they're tight end day Kwon Wright thirty nine catches
- 7:04Speaker 4: six hundred and thirty five yards sixteen yards for catch,
- 7:08Speaker 4: five touchdowns, which is a big sixteen point three for
- 7:11Speaker 4: a tight ends, a big number. He's a big body,
- 7:12Speaker 4: two different building trade as. But you know he was
- 7:15Speaker 4: big in the LSU game. If y'all remember, he closed
- 7:17Speaker 4: that game out on a fourth down like a little
- 7:20Speaker 4: you know, a wide delay that nobody was covering him on.
- 7:23Speaker 4: So four Ole Miss they had receivers with nine thirty four,
- 7:27Speaker 4: eight eleven, six eighty four, six thirty five. But right, again,
- 7:31Speaker 4: the tight end was tied for fourth with six hundred
- 7:34Speaker 4: and thirty five receiving yards. And again, that is not
- 7:37Speaker 4: a tight end that has the skill set of a
- 7:40Speaker 4: trade as Green, like he's somebody I'm not even I'm
- 7:43Speaker 4: trying to think if Wright got drafted at the very
- 7:46Speaker 4: back end of the draft. Ar He's an undrafted free agent,
- 7:48Speaker 4: so it's not too you know, Thirst shaded his name.
- 7:51Speaker 4: He's six four, probably six three, two forty. So trade
- 7:55Speaker 4: is a different skill set, obviously a more athletic skill set.
- 7:59Speaker 4: So that just kind of gives you an idea of
- 8:01Speaker 4: how much they can utilize the tight end position. Sixteen
- 8:05Speaker 4: point three yards per catch, that's a big number.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean those stats you're reading from Ole Miss
- 8:11Speaker 6: a year ago are the definition of spreading the ball
- 8:13Speaker 6: around and being a very prolific offense. Right When you
- 8:17Speaker 6: have that many guys with over six hundred yards receiving, man,
- 8:21Speaker 6: that is that's extremely balanced, and especially with I mean
- 8:24Speaker 6: you look at what they did in the running game too.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I mean, old Mess was eating up yards last year
- 8:31Speaker 6: on offense. So my god, LSU. We're gonna go from
- 8:35Speaker 6: last year to this year, and you gotta expect that
- 8:40Speaker 6: LSU will be, you know, trending in these types of
- 8:44Speaker 6: numbers and from an offensive production standpoint, Right, So.
- 8:48Speaker 4: What do we say, five guys over six hundred yards receiving?
- 8:51Speaker 5: Right?
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you want to get how many LSU had, zero,
- 8:56Speaker 4: not one, not one. LSU's leading receiver, Very Brown, had
- 9:00Speaker 4: five hundred and thirty two yards receiving. Ole Miss had
- 9:03Speaker 4: five guys over six hundred yards.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Wow, that's impressive. It's hard to do that.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Hard to do that on both sides for ole Miss
- 9:11Speaker 6: and harder to do that for LSU probably, But that
- 9:14Speaker 6: does kind of speak to how the tempo that they go,
- 9:19Speaker 6: tempo that ole Miss worked with and the tempo that
- 9:22Speaker 6: LSU will work with this season. That does speak to
- 9:25Speaker 6: maybe there's like one series, you'll have a group of receivers.
- 9:29Speaker 5: In the next series, it's a different group.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Of receivers just because of the speed at which they
- 9:33Speaker 6: have to play, the conditioning that they will have.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Maybe it's better to do that.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Maybe the rotation is a little bit heavier from the
- 9:41Speaker 6: wide receiver standpoint because they are running so much. So
- 9:44Speaker 6: maybe it's trying to keep fresh legs, like, all right,
- 9:46Speaker 6: this is our this is our Series one crew, this
- 9:49Speaker 6: is our Series two. Then we're just gonna keep going
- 9:52Speaker 6: back and forth. And so that might be one of
- 9:54Speaker 6: these reasons why there's so many people with such high production.
- 9:58Speaker 4: All right, we will step away, but again, got another
- 10:02Speaker 4: forty five minutes coming your way. It is lsu day.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Lane Kiffin already spoke at the podium. We had a
- 10:09Speaker 4: chance to catch up with Witweeks a little bit earlier.
- 10:11Speaker 4: So you can go back and you can watch that interview.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Talking a lot of trade as Green. Maybe we talked
- 10:17Speaker 4: a little TJ. Dotttery. When we come back and just
- 10:19Speaker 4: look at the defense, the additions that the defense made
- 10:23Speaker 4: a year ago. You added two ed rushers, you got
- 10:26Speaker 4: three sacks from those edge rushers. That's something that needs
- 10:28Speaker 4: to go up. Let's examine that defense when we come
- 10:31Speaker 4: back here on OTV.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Off the bench, all right.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Go to First American Banking Trust at FABT dot com.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Well over one hundred years. They have been in the
- 10:45Speaker 4: local community and they have been there for you. We
- 10:47Speaker 4: say it every day, and it is true. You're not
- 10:49Speaker 4: an account number, your face, your name, you are a relationship,
- 10:52Speaker 4: and decisions are made in Louisiana. Decisions are asked, you know,
- 10:58Speaker 4: from New York or asked from San Francisco. When it
- 11:01Speaker 4: comes to a personal loan, a business loan, whatever it is,
- 11:04Speaker 4: it's right there. It's in that branch, it's at home,
- 11:07Speaker 4: it's fabt dot com.
- 11:08Speaker 6: It's right First American Bank and Trust. You're a Louisiana
- 11:12Speaker 6: bank that's been doing it a long long time, over
- 11:15Speaker 6: eighth century, over one hundred years that they've been doing
- 11:17Speaker 6: business with Louisiana families, Louisiana businesses. So look, if you
- 11:21Speaker 6: are looking to get a home loan, if you are
- 11:23Speaker 6: looking to get a business loan, it maybe need a
- 11:25Speaker 6: little bit more runway for that business to do operate
- 11:27Speaker 6: the way you want to operate. Make sure you're doing
- 11:29Speaker 6: it with a bank that is making local.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Louisiana decisions, not on the East Coast or the West coast.
- 11:33Speaker 5: So go check them out. First American Bank and Trust
- 11:36Speaker 5: fabt dot Com.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Live from the twenty twenty six SEC Football Media Days
- 11:42Speaker 1: in Tampa presented by FMOL Health Our Lady of the
- 11:45Speaker 1: Lake Relief, Windows, Rev Fiber and Farish Construction and Roofingluck.
- 12:01Speaker 4: But I was all right, welcome back in OTV. Here
- 12:05Speaker 4: live from SEC Media Days Tampa, Florida. Going to be
- 12:09Speaker 4: joined now by the best dressed man every single year
- 12:12Speaker 4: here at Media Days, Roman Harper, former Alabasa, our sponsors.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I was like, what is bath fitter?
- 12:19Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you hear that bathfit? We say your name, Hey,
- 12:23Speaker 4: looking for a new bathroom or we got you man,
- 12:25Speaker 4: got you covered. What's up, brother? How are we doing?
- 12:28Speaker 5: Man?
- 12:28Speaker 3: I'm doing good, dude. I can't complain like I've got
- 12:30Speaker 3: to play golf all week. Tampa's been nice, weather's good.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I had a pool day. This went by the pool
- 12:38Speaker 3: and just like a.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Little bit off the footprint, you know, I know Florida's
- 12:41Speaker 4: kind of close, but you know what, I'm really I'm
- 12:43Speaker 4: not mad at it neither.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And it was like, you know what, let's go somewhere
- 12:46Speaker 3: where it's warm and maybe like something good people to
- 12:49Speaker 3: look at.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Like, let's go to Tampa. It's like a mini Miami.
- 12:54Speaker 4: This is Miami. It's not a mini Miami. It's a
- 12:57Speaker 4: lot slower. Yeah, it's probably way more call efficient in Miami.
- 13:02Speaker 5: I learned that.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god, dude. Yeah, I had a
- 13:07Speaker 3: couple of drinks last night. It was like it was
- 13:09Speaker 3: only forty two dollars.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I was like, I think I'm alright with that. You know,
- 13:13Speaker 4: it was like two or it was like.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Like four drinks for like forty bucks. I was like,
- 13:17Speaker 3: I'm pretty efficient.
- 13:19Speaker 4: I can deal with that.
- 13:20Speaker 6: I was more right there, Yeah, the way it should be.
- 13:22Speaker 6: And I like, you have the cigar and everything. I know,
- 13:24Speaker 6: they're famous for some cigars around here.
- 13:26Speaker 3: They are eboor cities, like the crown Jewel of cigars,
- 13:30Speaker 3: is what I've been told. I brought this with me
- 13:32Speaker 3: because I like to smoke a cigar when I play golf.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I'm trying not to be a tobacco guy anymore. So
- 13:38Speaker 3: I'm trying to find other vices. Okay, Yeah that's fair. Yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 3: I'm just trying to be a little bit better with myself.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Look, we were just trying to stay awake in meeting rooms.
- 13:46Speaker 4: That's how it all started. That's how it starts.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Right, you fall asleep with some flower seeds, Like, dude,
- 13:51Speaker 3: I gotta step.
- 13:51Speaker 4: My game up.
- 13:52Speaker 3: This is not you know what I mean. That's what
- 13:54Speaker 3: happened to me. That is, like you the seeds aren't
- 13:57Speaker 3: working no more. I gotta step my game up.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Yeah, k eight hours in a dark room, you have,
- 14:02Speaker 6: you got some sort of vice, right, but it happens.
- 14:05Speaker 5: It happens.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Well.
- 14:06Speaker 3: The best thing about New Orleans is like you know,
- 14:08Speaker 3: as the week progressed, like once we got to like Thursday,
- 14:10Speaker 3: after Thursday practice, you know, the players would kind of
- 14:14Speaker 3: like do our own kind of meeting, like meeting before
- 14:17Speaker 3: the coaches, and you know, the dakery shop around the
- 14:20Speaker 3: corner bro was on fire for us, Like we go
- 14:24Speaker 3: get the dakeries on Thursday. And it was great because
- 14:28Speaker 3: you know Louisiana like it's okay to take alcohol with you.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's not an issue. They put that whole
- 14:34Speaker 4: piece of tape over.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Back. What's the golf game up to you?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Now?
- 14:41Speaker 4: How we how we doing? Man?
- 14:42Speaker 3: I played pretty good this week. I shot I shot
- 14:45Speaker 3: an eighty six in an eighty seven. Uh the eighty
- 14:50Speaker 3: seven though, I shot a I shot a forty one
- 14:52Speaker 3: on the front. I was like, dude, I'm about to
- 14:54Speaker 3: be cooking. And then I shot a forty six on
- 14:56Speaker 3: the back. Just just not not good off the tee
- 14:59Speaker 3: yea and the but overall it's fine. Though I'm hitting
- 15:02Speaker 3: the ball a lot better. I'm actually drawing the ball,
- 15:04Speaker 3: which is actually giving me more distance, which isn't always
- 15:07Speaker 3: good because you.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Can't control the draw.
- 15:10Speaker 5: I've never looked all you feel good.
- 15:12Speaker 3: It's like towers up there and it just curls right
- 15:16Speaker 3: because I'm lefty and it goes just I can't control.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, we feel like I feel like eighty five
- 15:22Speaker 4: to eighty eight is like a sweet range because like
- 15:25Speaker 4: you're good enough to play with anybody. You're not gonna
- 15:27Speaker 4: lose a ton of balls, You're gonna have a lot
- 15:29Speaker 4: of fun. You're just good enough not to get mad
- 15:31Speaker 4: at not being the best, right, Like, I feel like
- 15:33Speaker 4: it's a really good sweet yeah.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Because I always tell myself, like, dude, I don't want
- 15:37Speaker 3: to get good where I'm getting mad if I'm not
- 15:39Speaker 3: playing well, Like I got to be like forgive myself
- 15:42Speaker 3: all the time.
- 15:43Speaker 6: We've not a professional at front nine, just like you said,
- 15:46Speaker 6: we're like you got to ask the club pro, like, hey,
- 15:48Speaker 6: what's the.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Course record apparent?
- 15:49Speaker 4: Like playing I'm playing lights out right now, lights out? Uh.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I wish I'd have made a couple more putts, but
- 15:54Speaker 3: I did have a lot of a lot of pars,
- 15:58Speaker 3: just a lot of Pars, which is good.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Gone off and.
- 16:01Speaker 4: There's no if I if I had one part yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 4: I mean I don't think you've ever part ever. Maybe
- 16:06Speaker 4: like a part three, like one time, like you've got
- 16:08Speaker 4: on a golfer man. You know, I'm a meathead man.
- 16:11Speaker 4: It's like you're a family guy too. That's good. Yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 4: that's good. So look, we could talk Alabama, we could
- 16:17Speaker 4: talk l s U and maybe we find our way there.
- 16:20Speaker 4: But uh, we're pretty excited about the Saints. Yes, so
- 16:23Speaker 4: since we're on here in Louisiana, obviously we can talk
- 16:25Speaker 4: about the Saints here even though we're at the SEC
- 16:27Speaker 4: media day. I don't know they brought the they brought
- 16:29Speaker 4: the band back, which I appreciated. Like Ak and Cam
- 16:32Speaker 4: coming back, that's good. I think it is good. You
- 16:35Speaker 4: know it was good last year. It's also you know.
- 16:40Speaker 3: As you age out in the league, right, Cam's been
- 16:43Speaker 3: there forever? Yes, Like did you really like Cam's like
- 16:47Speaker 3: putting up like, oh, I want to go because he
- 16:48Speaker 3: wants the sack number, right, he has this number in
- 16:51Speaker 3: his head. He's made this very public yep, so this
- 16:54Speaker 3: is what he wants and I'm glad he's hopefully be
- 16:56Speaker 3: able to do it in the New Orleans Saints Jersey,
- 16:58Speaker 3: you know, because it was feel a lot emptier.
- 17:01Speaker 4: If you just, all of a sudden you just go
- 17:02Speaker 4: get the number, that's the.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Only reason you're still out there is you're chasing in
- 17:06Speaker 3: a culture, it would be weird. And so I'm glad
- 17:10Speaker 3: they were able to figure that out and maybe Cam
- 17:13Speaker 3: Humble himself a little bit. Take whatever number, and everybody's
- 17:16Speaker 3: happy whatever that was going to be, and you can
- 17:18Speaker 3: still stay around and hopefully you guys have some success
- 17:20Speaker 3: this year. I don't know if they're gonna win the
- 17:21Speaker 3: super Bowl, they're gonna have an easier schedule because I mean,
- 17:24Speaker 3: they're the most most exciting five win team like in
- 17:27Speaker 3: the NFL. Like they win like five games and everybody's like, dude,
- 17:31Speaker 3: this is it, Like we see all the signs and
- 17:34Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't know, but I like it, right,
- 17:37Speaker 3: I like exciting because it hasn't been fun the last
- 17:41Speaker 3: couple of years, and they found more ways to lose
- 17:43Speaker 3: lose games than they did to win them. And when
- 17:45Speaker 3: you got a young quarterback who, let's let's just be honest,
- 17:49Speaker 3: he won. He won the off season. He did because
- 17:52Speaker 3: he took a video with Drew Brees working out Like
- 17:55Speaker 3: that's all it takes.
- 17:58Speaker 4: He won the off season by looking like maybe done
- 18:02Speaker 4: and maybe he'd had a better you know what I'm saying.
- 18:03Speaker 4: The Chipotle is first day in New Orleans. That's a
- 18:06Speaker 4: big l right there.
- 18:07Speaker 3: You gotta go somewhere local. You got to Yeah, you
- 18:10Speaker 3: didn't even go raising Knes.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah, Tyler Shuck understands the assignment, like he gets what
- 18:14Speaker 4: you know. I got to go to the Oyster Festival.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I gotta go work out with Drew Brees. I gotta
- 18:18Speaker 4: do these things.
- 18:19Speaker 3: You gotta check those boxes if you want to like,
- 18:22Speaker 3: because the Saints fans are all the same, dude, Like
- 18:24Speaker 3: they just want to love their team, That's right. They
- 18:26Speaker 3: want to love on l s U majority of the time. Yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 3: you got some of your fans too, though Alabama. I
- 18:31Speaker 3: know I said some most of the majority of the time.
- 18:33Speaker 3: LSU still runs majority of it. But yeah, I mean
- 18:37Speaker 3: it's also some old miss and two Lane in there too.
- 18:40Speaker 3: But I I I'm rooting for them. I think because
- 18:44Speaker 3: of the being in last place in the South, they
- 18:46Speaker 3: should get the easiest schedule. It should help them. And
- 18:49Speaker 3: I want to see Tyler Schuk not hit that sophomore slum.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Yeah, me too.
- 18:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so you talk about him when in the off season.
- 18:55Speaker 6: Mickey Loomis is also for the last two off seasons
- 18:58Speaker 6: done an awesome job. Man, Like his opinion that the
- 19:01Speaker 6: Saints fans have had it has kind of been up
- 19:03Speaker 6: and down throughout so but nobody can argue with the
- 19:06Speaker 6: last two years he's made all the right moves that
- 19:09Speaker 6: the people wanted him to make.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Well, it's funny because you know he'll go through they'll
- 19:13Speaker 3: go through years where it's like two or three years
- 19:15Speaker 3: where like everybody hates all their draft picks and you.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Look up in three years and they're all kind of gone.
- 19:20Speaker 3: So they've hit those, but they've also hit the highs,
- 19:22Speaker 3: like the twenty seventeen draft, like totally reset Ramcheck Kamara,
- 19:27Speaker 3: they had the corner Sotimore, Lattimore. You'd like, hit on
- 19:31Speaker 3: all these right that that gives you five hire years. Yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 3: Trade was the third round pick of that one. Like
- 19:37Speaker 3: all of those guys hit the same thing as my
- 19:39Speaker 3: class in six. That's like boom, all those hit and
- 19:42Speaker 3: so those last year and they give you runway and
- 19:45Speaker 3: all of a sudden, now last year's class seems like
- 19:48Speaker 3: it's another class that's going to be a hit. But
- 19:50Speaker 3: you also found the hidden gyms like Granderson. Yeah right,
- 19:53Speaker 3: like you got to have those guys too, for sure,
- 19:55Speaker 3: that all of a sudden, now you have a complete roster.
- 19:57Speaker 4: I'm a big fan of Mickey.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I'm actually gonna start trying to work with him a
- 20:00Speaker 3: little bit. Yeah, and just like, yeah, get out there,
- 20:03Speaker 3: I want to put I watch a lot of college. Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 3: so just go around and just listen to those guys
- 20:08Speaker 3: what they're doing before these meetings and how they're putting
- 20:10Speaker 3: together draft boards and stuff. I just have a little
- 20:13Speaker 3: bit of an opinion about what I would say about
- 20:15Speaker 3: yeah displayer.
- 20:16Speaker 4: So yeah, and I love the way you deliver that opinion, sir,
- 20:19Speaker 4: And we appreciate time. We're going to wrap it up,
- 20:21Speaker 4: thank you know. We'd keep you here for like thirty
- 20:22Speaker 4: more minutes, I know, and we'd probably talk a lot
- 20:24Speaker 4: of other crazy stuffs that weird that we was. Hey,
- 20:28Speaker 4: who that follow my LSU fans out there? Roll tide
- 20:31Speaker 4: all right? All right, turn his volume down out here.
- 20:37Speaker 4: We love your brother, appreciate you man, all right. Roman
- 20:39Speaker 4: Harper Alabama Legends, Saint Legend, Panther legend. Man knows the
- 20:44Speaker 4: NFC South end. Like, we could have talked to Lsu,
- 20:46Speaker 4: but you know.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Always tough the game plan against him in the league. Yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 5: always tough.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Yeah, we could talk to Milo shoot some Bama stuff,
- 20:52Speaker 4: but I wanted to get some saints from Roman Harper.
- 20:54Speaker 4: So we certainly appreciate that. Hey, I like hearing that
- 20:56Speaker 4: he might be working with Mickey Loomis a little scouting.
- 20:59Speaker 4: It sounded like maybe, hey, maybe, well a lot of
- 21:02Speaker 4: tape you should look at this guy.
- 21:04Speaker 6: Uh, let's see when did Mickey get to New Orleans?
- 21:08Speaker 6: I mean he had to been there for a lot
- 21:10Speaker 6: or most.
- 21:11Speaker 4: He was there the whole No, he said the whole time.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Rogue was there.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I think it's early two thousands. It's like twenty years
- 21:17Speaker 4: if you've been there.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Well, got we're coming up on a quarter century right now.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Yes, So so he drafted Roman for sure.
- 21:24Speaker 5: God, I was watching hold hold that, uh look like
- 21:27Speaker 5: a good cigar.
- 21:30Speaker 4: He was carrying it around like it meant something.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Yep.
- 21:32Speaker 4: So I'm gonna assume it had some value on it.
- 21:35Speaker 5: You'll touch of value.
- 21:36Speaker 4: We'll touch a value like he was holding on to
- 21:37Speaker 4: like he saved money.
- 21:38Speaker 5: On the drinks so he could buy a cigar.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Yeah. I like how he tried to do like the
- 21:44Speaker 4: Vet move of wearing houndstooth for Vanda, but he did
- 21:47Speaker 4: it in Navy. So he's like, this is in Alabama
- 21:50Speaker 4: hound suit.
- 21:50Speaker 5: You know? Yeah for sure. I mean as a neutral,
- 21:53Speaker 5: as a reporter, you must stay neutral and what you wear.
- 21:57Speaker 4: But see, he could pay. He gets paid by the network.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Like you're supposed to You're supposed to be a homer.
- 22:01Speaker 4: We're owing in baton rouge.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, I don't care.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I know you don't need it. You'd probably be
- 22:06Speaker 4: wear the same.
- 22:06Speaker 6: Thing if I was on National. Yes, oh yeah, you
- 22:13Speaker 6: don't have to be subtle with it. I mean people know,
- 22:16Speaker 6: people heard it.
- 22:17Speaker 5: That's true.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I was working with Dusty de Vorcheck the other day
- 22:20Speaker 4: and he played at Oklahoma, and every time he would
- 22:22Speaker 4: like say something nice about Oklahoma, like he he felt
- 22:26Speaker 4: like he had to like go back and like, I
- 22:29Speaker 4: don't know a little bit. I'm like, Dusty, buddy, you don't.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I told him you don't have to do that, Like, yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 4: it's fine, you can talk nice about Oklahoma, right, and
- 22:38Speaker 4: we don't think you're a giant homer.
- 22:39Speaker 5: It's right. Yeah, it's uh.
- 22:41Speaker 4: If I'm gonna be a homer a lot of times
- 22:42Speaker 4: all a nownce, Hey, I'm about to be a homer
- 22:43Speaker 4: right now.
- 22:44Speaker 6: So he was like, man, yeah, Oklahoma, they're really gonna
- 22:46Speaker 6: they're gonna be really good this year, but it could
- 22:49Speaker 6: be pretty bad exactly.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, you don't have to do that. Well, you
- 22:53Speaker 5: don't have to do that, all right. That was great though.
- 22:57Speaker 6: That's the first time we've you know, this week, you know, natural,
- 22:59Speaker 6: this first time we we got to talk about the Saints.
- 23:01Speaker 5: It is, but it's good to talk with the Saints legend.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Yeah about that.
- 23:05Speaker 4: So, you know, he pointed out something that you and
- 23:08Speaker 4: I have talked about a lot. They get a last
- 23:10Speaker 4: place schedule and that always helps you out. I mean,
- 23:12Speaker 4: look at what New England was able to do with
- 23:14Speaker 4: a last play schedule a year ago. Now, I'm not
- 23:16Speaker 4: saying the Saints are going to win fourteen games, but
- 23:19Speaker 4: it shows you how much it can help you out
- 23:21Speaker 4: and what it can do for you. So you're gonna
- 23:23Speaker 4: play the other last place teams and look, sometimes those
- 23:26Speaker 4: teams are going to be better, but a lot of
- 23:28Speaker 4: times there are going to be some really bad teams
- 23:29Speaker 4: gonna be teams with three wins in there. You had six,
- 23:32Speaker 4: So a lot of the worst teams in the NFL
- 23:35Speaker 4: you double their win total. So we'll see, we'll see
- 23:37Speaker 4: if that helps the Saints. I think the Saints are
- 23:39Speaker 4: going to be so much better. I'm so excited to
- 23:41Speaker 4: get to camp. I'll be down there August the thirteen.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I know we're trying to all get down there to
- 23:45Speaker 4: see if we can maybe watch your practice. Yeah, I
- 23:48Speaker 4: just surprised you. That's right, that's in the works.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Just I'd love it just informed you of that.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Learn that here today as it came out of my mouth.
- 23:57Speaker 6: I've learned two things today that I might be going
- 23:59Speaker 6: to thanks training camp and we're all going to die.
- 24:03Speaker 5: That's the two things I've learned to them. Blaine taught
- 24:06Speaker 5: me that.
- 24:08Speaker 4: What did you.
- 24:11Speaker 6: Did you have Hulk Hogan in the Prescott? I didn't
- 24:14Speaker 6: have that on the bingo card, man. I wish that
- 24:16Speaker 6: would have. It just goes to show you can't predict that.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Man. All right, we will step away. Before we do.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I do want to remind you about our friends over
- 24:27Speaker 4: gen Gators Jingators with the z dot com. There's already

- 24:43Speaker 4: if there's bad weather and everybody on the block is out,
- 24:46Speaker 4: you are going to be fully functional again. It is
- 24:50Speaker 4: the ultimate piece of mind because a lot of times
- 24:52Speaker 4: before I had a whole home generator, I'm like, man,
- 24:54Speaker 4: do we have gas? Do we have decided that the
- 24:55Speaker 4: little generators are ready to go? Is it going to
- 24:57Speaker 4: be able to run the fridge? Whole home jer writer
- 25:00Speaker 4: with gen Gators, you can run the entire deal. Don't
- 25:02Speaker 4: miss a beat Jen Gators withth Z dot com. All right,
- 25:06Speaker 4: So we were going to talk LSU defense in that segment.
- 25:08Speaker 4: We can bring that back. We were lucky enough to
- 25:10Speaker 4: be joined by our guy Roman Harper talk a little
- 25:13Speaker 4: New Orleans Saints. So we are going to have some
- 25:15Speaker 4: of that LSU defensive conversation. Some new edge rushers, a
- 25:19Speaker 4: new will linebacker, a new starting free safety. What does
- 25:22Speaker 4: it mean for the Tigers. We'll break it down when
- 25:24Speaker 4: we come back.

- 27:36Speaker 4: Medicine keeping you in the game, all right. Just take
- 27:39Speaker 4: a look Matthew at LSU's defense. So we talked about
- 27:43Speaker 4: it in linked a year ago. You brought in two
- 27:45Speaker 4: edge rushers, they had to combine three sacks. That's not
- 27:48Speaker 4: good enough. So they go out and they get Prince
- 27:51Speaker 4: will you Manu Miellen, they get Jordan Ross, they get
- 27:55Speaker 4: Malik blocked in who that was actually the Auburn question
- 27:59Speaker 4: that we got in of the press conference. There, those
- 28:04Speaker 4: are three players that are going to be additions. Now
- 28:06Speaker 4: you've got other ones. Jalen Brown's gonna be coming in.
- 28:09Speaker 4: You bring in Green as well to be a defensive tackle,
- 28:12Speaker 4: and the young defensive tackles that all have pass rush ability. Certainly, guys,
- 28:16Speaker 4: we're excited about you, me and me. Ellen is somebody
- 28:19Speaker 4: that we've known because while he's played in the SEC
- 28:22Speaker 4: for a long time, he comes over from Old Miss
- 28:25Speaker 4: That is a player that is a top ninety NFL
- 28:30Speaker 4: draft choice right and probably can improve on that, probably
- 28:33Speaker 4: will improve on that. Jordan Ross is somebody that I'd
- 28:37Speaker 4: had a conversation with wit Weeks probably about three months
- 28:39Speaker 4: ago that he continued to highlight in our conversation. Okay,
- 28:43Speaker 4: I think those two guys are as important as important
- 28:46Speaker 4: as anybody, because like TJ. Dottery is a really good player,
- 28:49Speaker 4: play a ton of football, rid shirt, senior starter at
- 28:52Speaker 4: Old Miss, captain, the whole deal. But like your linebacker room,
- 28:56Speaker 4: you had some guys that of course with Weeks you
- 28:58Speaker 4: got Zach Weeks. You have Devon Keys who's played a
- 29:01Speaker 4: lot of football at LSU. Maybe not as much of
- 29:04Speaker 4: a necessity. Now he's going to be a player, he's
- 29:06Speaker 4: going to start. You had to get some help at
- 29:08Speaker 4: ed rusher.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it's got to be a.
- 29:14Speaker 6: The The defense last year was the one bright spot
- 29:18Speaker 6: for for most of the year or a lot of
- 29:20Speaker 6: the year. Last year certainly the one of the bright
- 29:23Speaker 6: spots because I certainly went on the offensive side of
- 29:25Speaker 6: the ball, and you did it with no pass rush
- 29:30Speaker 6: from your d rusher, no threat of that.
- 29:32Speaker 5: So it does.
- 29:32Speaker 6: If you want to become the defense that people fear,
- 29:37Speaker 6: not just the defense that is productive. You want to
- 29:41Speaker 6: be the defense that is fear. You have to, like,
- 29:44Speaker 6: no question about it. You have to be able to
- 29:46Speaker 6: create a pass rush when you when you rush for people, you.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Have to do it.
- 29:49Speaker 6: You don't have you don't want to have to rely
- 29:52Speaker 6: on manufacturing pressure. Now, Blake Baker is one of the
- 29:55Speaker 6: best at manufacturing pressure by bringing He just lines up
- 30:00Speaker 6: you never know where. He loves bringing the cat blitz.
- 30:04Speaker 6: He loves to bring the weeks like corner blitz. He
- 30:05Speaker 6: brings them off that, he brings safeties, brings safeties off
- 30:07Speaker 6: the edge. He'll bring a strong safety plus a will
- 30:10Speaker 6: back like. He just does a lot of different things
- 30:12Speaker 6: to create pressure. But you don't want that to be
- 30:15Speaker 6: a crutch. You want to be able to pressure at
- 30:17Speaker 6: the quarterback. Change of pace you want, Yeah, you want
- 30:19Speaker 6: to be a change of pace because offenses, especially good
- 30:23Speaker 6: offenses with good with offensive line that f sound technique
- 30:27Speaker 6: and a good smart quarterback like, they will start to
- 30:30Speaker 6: pick you up throughout the year. Now you're gonna get
- 30:32Speaker 6: home some. But you want to be able to put
- 30:35Speaker 6: the fear into offenses. You want to have to make
- 30:38Speaker 6: their running backs and their tight ends chip on the
- 30:40Speaker 6: way out slow them down. So we did not have
- 30:44Speaker 6: that a year ago. Hopefully we do get that. I
- 30:47Speaker 6: don't know, you know, I don't know if we're going
- 30:49Speaker 6: to have the elite guy. I don't know, maybe somebody
- 30:52Speaker 6: steps up to the game and and you know, pushes
- 30:54Speaker 6: eight nine tens.
- 30:55Speaker 5: I have no idea what that would be. We will
- 30:58Speaker 5: all kind of find out and figure that out.
- 31:00Speaker 6: But if you want to be a feared defense, you
- 31:02Speaker 6: have to be able to create pressure on the quarterback
- 31:04Speaker 6: when you're only rushing for.
- 31:07Speaker 4: I will guarantee you, I like my odds here that
- 31:10Speaker 4: they're going to have more than three.
- 31:13Speaker 5: You, me and me.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Ellen had nine by himself last year.
- 31:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I'd be if he has nine this year, you
- 31:19Speaker 6: will be a fear defense.
- 31:20Speaker 4: I think so too. If you get nine from him
- 31:23Speaker 4: and you get five and a half from the other side,
- 31:28Speaker 4: think about how what fourteen and a half compared to
- 31:31Speaker 4: three from your starting edges. That's a I mean, I mean,
- 31:35Speaker 4: I can't even tell you how much more that does
- 31:38Speaker 4: for your defense. And for Blake Baker to know, like
- 31:42Speaker 4: when he does decide to send that corner cat, it's
- 31:45Speaker 4: not going to be something they're ready for because they
- 31:47Speaker 4: don't know when it's coming.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Now.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Last year, because you couldn't get to the quarterback with
- 31:53Speaker 4: you know, just rushing for on third downs, they probably said, hey,
- 31:56Speaker 4: alert corner cat and then you adjusted your route to
- 31:58Speaker 4: it and then here comes a completion because the safe
- 32:00Speaker 4: you can't get there because they're ready for it.
- 32:02Speaker 6: Yep, you know it's exciting the defensive back for the
- 32:05Speaker 6: secondary is going to be exciting for me. Of course,
- 32:07Speaker 6: there's a lot of talk about Tyd Bennefield coming over.
- 32:10Speaker 6: I think he's getting, rightfully so, a lot of preseason
- 32:15Speaker 6: right ups, He's getting a lot of props coming into
- 32:17Speaker 6: the preseason. I think he's going to be a huge
- 32:19Speaker 6: factor this season. And then of course DJ Pickett rightfully so,
- 32:24Speaker 6: just a tall, just freak right. I expect him to
- 32:28Speaker 6: take a big jump from his year one to year two.
- 32:30Speaker 6: It's Marcus Cooley of course has a lot of experience
- 32:33Speaker 6: to lean on. But when we sat here at this
- 32:35Speaker 6: table and we asked them to pick one player on
- 32:37Speaker 6: the entire team that he was excited to see play
- 32:41Speaker 6: that people should be on to look at, he said,
- 32:44Speaker 6: PJ Woodland at corner. So I'm extremely excited about the secondary.
- 32:49Speaker 6: And again it just goes back if a man Meelan
- 32:51Speaker 6: can have nine sacks again, if you can just repeat
- 32:53Speaker 6: his production from one year ago in the same conference,
- 32:56Speaker 6: playing against you know, mostly the same teams, then this
- 33:01Speaker 6: defense will be fair.
- 33:02Speaker 4: That's another good point. It's like he's coming over from
- 33:04Speaker 4: the American I mean, he's helping it translates to the SEC.
- 33:07Speaker 4: He's literally going to be playing the same teams, no question,
- 33:13Speaker 4: they played from a year ago. All right, we will
- 33:17Speaker 4: take a look at the defensive backfield a little bit.
- 33:20Speaker 6: As you said, you know what's funny is like you,
- 33:22Speaker 6: I'm looking at this, I got your your website up
- 33:25Speaker 6: the r llads, and it is. It is funny looking
- 33:28Speaker 6: at the offense and the defense side by side because
- 33:32Speaker 6: when you look at this website, everybody in blue is returning,
- 33:36Speaker 6: everybody in yellow or gold is brand news.
- 33:39Speaker 4: New coming in as a transfer. And then like the
- 33:41Speaker 4: pinkish purples freshman yep.
- 33:43Speaker 6: And so it has your first team and then your
- 33:46Speaker 6: second team right on there. You look at the defense,
- 33:48Speaker 6: I can count five and the first, first team and
- 33:51Speaker 6: second team combined, there are eight new additions to the defense.
- 33:56Speaker 6: When you look at the offensive side of the ball
- 33:59Speaker 6: on first second team combined, there is six returning people
- 34:04Speaker 6: on offense as you're starting in your immediate backup. So
- 34:08Speaker 6: quite the difference in that, and that tells you exactly
- 34:14Speaker 6: what the problems were a year ago. And that's why
- 34:17Speaker 6: you spend all the money to get rid of your coach,
- 34:18Speaker 6: and that's why you spend all the money to go
- 34:21Speaker 6: and get one of the best offensive lines.
- 34:23Speaker 5: In the country.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's good to point out because it looks
- 34:27Speaker 4: completely different. And you know, I was going to go
- 34:29Speaker 4: to a guy coming in on the defense because there's
- 34:31Speaker 4: not many and we talked about the edge rushers already,
- 34:34Speaker 4: but Todd Benefield hopefully Taylor's in a safe position. Seriously,
- 34:38Speaker 4: is sitting down somebody that everyone's talking about. Now again,
- 34:42Speaker 4: we are projecting that he can take it from the
- 34:44Speaker 4: Mountain West Conference to the SEC. Now in spring he
- 34:48Speaker 4: did in spring. Coach you talked about, you know, his
- 34:51Speaker 4: presence on and off the field, all those things. But
- 34:54Speaker 4: he's an All American type safety at Boise State. Can
- 34:56Speaker 4: he translate that to the SEC? Because you've got you
- 35:00Speaker 4: mentioned DJ Pickett, you mentioned PJ. Woodland to Marcus Cooley
- 35:03Speaker 4: and somebody I loved watching play undersize. But he wasn't
- 35:06Speaker 4: afraid of the battle, wasn't afraid of the flight, made
- 35:08Speaker 4: plays all over the place. But you're also you're trying
- 35:11Speaker 4: to replace aj Halsey, a player that went in the
- 35:13Speaker 4: third round, a player that we both really liked, a
- 35:15Speaker 4: player that had a high, high motor and gave you
- 35:18Speaker 4: everything he had. And I mean that Vanderbilt game it
- 35:21Speaker 4: felt like he was doing so much heavy lifting, like
- 35:24Speaker 4: he tried to wield the you know, will this team
- 35:26Speaker 4: of victory. He just couldn't get it done by himself.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Yeah, he led by example last year.
- 35:30Speaker 6: Sometimes the guys around him did not match the intensity
- 35:36Speaker 6: and the effort. Now that wasn't a common factor for
- 35:39Speaker 6: our defense last year, like they again, the bright spot
- 35:42Speaker 6: of the team last year was mostly the defense, right,
- 35:45Speaker 6: But aj Halsey man mind, that guy was fun to watch.
- 35:48Speaker 6: So yeah, Tyde Benfield comes in and he's got big
- 35:50Speaker 6: shoes to fill, but so do the corners. So you know,
- 35:53Speaker 6: there's that's college football.
- 35:54Speaker 5: That's at l s U. You're gonna have big shoes
- 35:58Speaker 5: to feel all the time.
- 35:59Speaker 6: So it comes every and like you said, does it translate, man,
- 36:02Speaker 6: me Ellen, It's gonna translate because again he's going again.
- 36:05Speaker 6: He'll probably go again some of the same tackles he
- 36:07Speaker 6: did last year.
- 36:08Speaker 5: And got sacks off of him. But does it transfer
- 36:10Speaker 5: from Boise?
- 36:11Speaker 6: Tell us you, well, I think I think talent transfers, Yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 6: especially at the safety position.
- 36:17Speaker 4: Football's football man, and he'll have more talent around him, sure,
- 36:21Speaker 4: yeah than you know, just in the deepest of backfield.
- 36:23Speaker 4: He won't have to do as much there, so that
- 36:27Speaker 4: unlocks some things oftentimes. So we'll see if TDP Benefield
- 36:30Speaker 4: can make that leak from the Mountain west to the
- 36:31Speaker 4: SEC like we think you can. We are going to
- 36:34Speaker 4: step away on times, not that big of.
- 36:36Speaker 5: A segment left. We do the whole, that's true.
- 36:40Speaker 4: And are we here at least here ye, yes, And
- 36:42Speaker 4: we're gonna do a little ask the bench when we

- 39:00Speaker 4: a great time to go for dose.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Always.
- 39:06Speaker 6: I can't think of a time of day where it's
- 39:08Speaker 6: not right, I asked the bench here, I want lettuce
- 39:16Speaker 6: on my burger?
- 39:17Speaker 5: Is that okay?
- 39:19Speaker 4: And then like a deal would let us going on
- 39:21Speaker 4: right now?
- 39:22Speaker 5: Yeah? There is there's something. Is it dirty? Has it
- 39:26Speaker 5: got the salmonel on it?
- 39:27Speaker 4: I don't know what it is, but there's something going
- 39:30Speaker 4: on with some lettuce right now.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:31Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know how one from a flavor perspective,
- 39:34Speaker 6: lettuce is bringing much the table anyways. I think it's
- 39:37Speaker 6: just more for the crisp the crunch. Maybe I like lettuce.
- 39:41Speaker 6: I mean I have nothing against it. I mean I
- 39:43Speaker 6: don't tomato doesn't touch my burger.
- 39:45Speaker 5: But let us as far as no.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Mater's on that.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Huh no, No, what's the point?
- 39:51Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench did you know Jarvis Landry faked
- 39:54Speaker 4: a hamstring injury during his combine after his first forty
- 39:58Speaker 4: yard dash because his agent told him he couldn't run
- 40:01Speaker 4: a second one due to his first run being too
- 40:04Speaker 4: slow at four to seven seven.
- 40:06Speaker 5: It's a very specific story. I don't know. I did
- 40:09Speaker 5: not know that. If that's true.
- 40:11Speaker 4: I heard I saw him tell the story on his
- 40:15Speaker 4: podcast with Leonard Fournette that after he ran a four
- 40:17Speaker 4: to seven seven is agent's like, hey, you don't need
- 40:19Speaker 4: to do that again, and so he faked the hamstringing
- 40:22Speaker 4: here had a long career.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Well it worked, then, good thinke it was?
- 40:28Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the Bench saw The Odyssey last night? It
- 40:33Speaker 4: was simply fantastic. Plans to go see it? And what's
- 40:36Speaker 4: your favorite Nolan movie. I've already seen it as well,
- 40:38Speaker 4: saw it the day before we came to SEC media days.
- 40:43Speaker 6: I have not seen it. I'm looking forward to seeing.
- 40:48Speaker 6: I couldn't see it last week. I was out on vacation,
- 40:50Speaker 6: so it's uh, I can't wait to see it. I
- 40:52Speaker 6: love all the all the Nolan movies. But what's my
- 40:56Speaker 6: favorite one the I'm blinking on it Instell, Yeah, Interstellar.
- 41:00Speaker 6: I like Prestige.
- 41:01Speaker 4: I love that one.
- 41:02Speaker 5: Christige.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I like Memento as well too.
- 41:05Speaker 5: Ah, they're all good.
- 41:06Speaker 6: Off saw that he wants to do a horror film
- 41:10Speaker 6: next or at some point in his career.
- 41:14Speaker 4: I did see that'd be awesome. I'm I'm not really
- 41:16Speaker 4: into that genre. I mean that would be I think
- 41:18Speaker 4: cool it to do something different. So I still don't
- 41:21Speaker 4: know how to pronounce this word. But yesterday and the
- 41:23Speaker 4: questions about this, Yesterday I was doing radio with Dooring
- 41:28Speaker 4: and he pulled out this like it was like a
- 41:31Speaker 4: steel roller for your face, and he had like another
- 41:35Speaker 4: tool for his face that is supposed to get the
- 41:37Speaker 4: puffiness out. It starts with a like a gosha, gosha, gosha.
- 41:43Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 41:44Speaker 4: They want to know if you have one of those
- 41:45Speaker 4: in your backpack, like doring, I don't.
- 41:47Speaker 5: Is that the thing that you keep cold?
- 41:49Speaker 4: Yeah? I think so, it was like it was like
- 41:50Speaker 4: this little like steel roller. He said he didn't want
- 41:53Speaker 4: to be puffy. I said, you don't want to be
- 41:55Speaker 4: diddy either, you know what I'm saying, Like you don't
- 41:58Speaker 4: be puff daddy diddy?
- 42:00Speaker 5: Oh god, that that know what your best?
- 42:05Speaker 1: No.
- 42:05Speaker 5: I was like, I think you're doing like a baby
- 42:07Speaker 5: old joke or something.
- 42:08Speaker 4: No, it's like you just don't want to be puffy art.
- 42:11Speaker 6: I don't have one of those. I bet it feels
- 42:12Speaker 6: good though, well, coldness on your face, wake up, we'll
- 42:14Speaker 6: bet yeh.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Hashtag ass a bench other than l s U. Who
- 42:19Speaker 4: has the best helmet in the SEC. That's the helmet?
- 42:24Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 42:27Speaker 4: I mean.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Old school Tennessee is good. I like the simplicity of
- 42:35Speaker 5: the longhorned helmet. The white at h that's a good Yeah,
- 42:38Speaker 5: that's a good one's going good clean.
- 42:39Speaker 4: White Yeah, good clean fun there, good clean fun, best
- 42:43Speaker 4: helmet in the NFL.
- 42:45Speaker 5: I like to charge your packers.
- 42:52Speaker 4: Oh, hester will be at your camp Saturday. Can I
- 42:55Speaker 4: get a high five? Absolutely? You bet? Nope, you can
- 42:59Speaker 4: give one.
- 43:00Speaker 5: You're gonna get out five?
- 43:01Speaker 4: Nope, you can get high five? Get a tap up? Uh.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench what was the last thing? Harper said?
- 43:12Speaker 4: He ain't get me with that.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Here, you ain't gonna get us.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench, did y'all hit Bush Gardens yet?
- 43:21Speaker 1: No?
- 43:21Speaker 5: I didn't know.
- 43:23Speaker 4: We didn't hit it. I was working more than I
- 43:24Speaker 4: thought it was. To be honest with you, the old
- 43:28Speaker 4: time zone got me too. I'm like, oh, have you
- 43:29Speaker 4: done it for?
- 43:30Speaker 1: No?
- 43:30Speaker 4: You ain't five.
- 43:33Speaker 6: What's the best card in y'all's collection? Mine's a Joe
- 43:37Speaker 6: Burrow Rookie Optic Downtown, He says. Best card of my
- 43:42Speaker 6: collection is a Justin Herbert.
- 43:46Speaker 5: Yeah, one of one nice. Oh, I'm blanking on the brand.
- 43:52Speaker 6: It's a it's a patch auto with Scott, the one
- 43:55Speaker 6: that has like the little diamonds in it. They only
- 43:57Speaker 6: did it. They've only made it in football a couple
- 43:59Speaker 6: of times. It wouldn't flawless.
- 44:02Speaker 5: Blanking on it, but it's a it's a very very
- 44:05Speaker 5: nice card.
- 44:06Speaker 4: My best is probably I have got a tops chrome
- 44:11Speaker 4: Nick Kurtz auto to five on card Auto.
- 44:15Speaker 6: Ouy rookie there we go. Yeah, probably my best card.
- 44:19Speaker 6: Uh huh, I got it Joe Burrow Rookie Auto PSA ten.
- 44:24Speaker 6: It's a good one. Yeah, you got y got a
- 44:27Speaker 6: lot of that. I've sold some go so I sold
- 44:29Speaker 6: a rookie number Tom Brady that was PSA ten.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench, would you rather your team your
- 44:36Speaker 4: NFL team go eight to nine and win the division
- 44:39Speaker 4: and go to the playoffs, or go nine and eight miss.
- 44:40Speaker 5: The playoffs, make the playoffs, go the playoffs.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Get into the tournament.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 44:44Speaker 4: Why not? For sure the nine and seven Giants team
- 44:46Speaker 4: win the Super Bowl and easy question? Do you like
- 44:49Speaker 4: these Saints all black uniforms? Do the mustard yellow throwbacks
- 44:52Speaker 4: look better than the all of the Saints uniforms? The
- 44:55Speaker 4: action to go back to the Bobby A. Bear days
- 44:57Speaker 4: of uniforms like gold helmet, black jerseys, gold pants, state
- 45:02Speaker 4: of Louisiana on the uniform.
- 45:04Speaker 5: I don't mind. I like the all whites though, the
- 45:08Speaker 5: the is it? Is it throwback it?
- 45:11Speaker 4: Oh you're talking about? Yeah, the ones that they wore
- 45:13Speaker 4: like their color rush or whatever they called that for
- 45:14Speaker 4: a while. Yeah, like a little bit of throwback.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Gold is hard to do.
- 45:18Speaker 6: I'm just gold is tough to do and it's tough
- 45:21Speaker 6: to make look good. Yeah, but I don't like the
- 45:24Speaker 6: all black and I know they used to do it,
- 45:26Speaker 6: but pant technology has changed and it's hard to get
- 45:29Speaker 6: gold on your pants.
- 45:32Speaker 5: It's got to be some version of yellow.
- 45:34Speaker 4: I mean they can the dude, if you can, Hey,
- 45:37Speaker 4: if you can put a man on the moon, you
- 45:38Speaker 4: can get some.
- 45:39Speaker 6: Golf, you can you can do it. Technology is there.
- 45:46Speaker 6: I've had a great time this week.
- 45:49Speaker 4: It's been fun.
- 45:50Speaker 5: It's been great.
- 45:51Speaker 6: Yeah, it's another host my second SEC Media days in
- 45:55Speaker 6: the books.
- 45:57Speaker 5: I'm here on digital drive. Uh.
- 46:00Speaker 6: A little disappointed that we didn't get more questions in
