- 0:37Speaker 1: Welcome Hello.
- 0:39Speaker 2: How's everyone doing good? I'm good.
- 0:41Speaker 1: You good, I'm great.
- 0:43Speaker 2: We're good.
- 0:43Speaker 1: We're good.
- 0:44Speaker 2: We're doing good. We're drinking, and we're in our hotel.
- 0:48Speaker 1: We're actually actually on location.
- 0:51Speaker 2: This time, not just location via basement.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Because it us too hot.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and our basement's kind of echoey. So the sound
- 0:58Speaker 2: kind of changed a bit less cup leisodes, but we
- 1:01Speaker 2: did just order new mics, which.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Is very exciting, and the sound could be changed here too.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, there's sirens going by right now. I'm not sure
- 1:08Speaker 2: if you guys hear that.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We're in a busy city, yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Vancouver, and not only a busy city. We are in
- 1:13Speaker 2: a really old hotel downtown said, busy city. And that
- 1:18Speaker 2: really old hotel is what I always get.
- 1:22Speaker 1: The name wrong, Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver, right, I think. So
- 1:26Speaker 1: it's like, in a very specific order, it's like the Fairmont.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's the original Fairmount of Vancouver. Yes, and it's we
- 1:33Speaker 1: feel fancyf.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It's definitely a ritzy place, so fancy. But the cool
- 1:38Speaker 2: thing is is this hotel is known to be haunted.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Hen's why I was staying here exactly. We want to
- 1:45Speaker 2: do an on location podcast for you guys where we
- 1:48Speaker 2: talk about some cool shit that happened in the history
- 1:52Speaker 2: history of this place. So this isn't necessarily a true
- 1:55Speaker 2: crime episode, although it's I mean staying in that same
- 1:58Speaker 2: sort of genre. Ish, we're staying creepy, we're staying weird,
- 2:02Speaker 2: would you love, and we're going paranormal.
- 2:04Speaker 1: So I'm totally cool with this, which is very exciting.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And I accidentally just closed up my notes, so I
- 2:10Speaker 2: need to open them up again.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh well, we also had something else very exciting happened today.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Oh yes, do tell what was that?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Benjamin?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Oh I get to disclose this information? Yeah, go ahead, Okay, Well,
- 2:21Speaker 2: today we went and we got to see our completely
- 2:24Speaker 2: built tiny home and signed the papers. We officially own
- 2:29Speaker 2: a tiny home.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, we are tiny home owners.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's going to be delivered in the next two to
- 2:35Speaker 2: three weeks to our property and we are going to
- 2:38Speaker 2: be moving in and selling our house over the next
- 2:41Speaker 2: couple months.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So soon we will be podcasting not just out of
- 2:46Speaker 2: a hotel or via our basement, but via our time
- 2:51Speaker 2: out in the bush somewhere.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So exciting. Yeah, and it was so cool seeing it.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It just like it was perfect. It blew me away.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty dope.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, awesome.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So all that aside, you ready to get down to
- 3:04Speaker 2: the Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver haunting.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, because I know a little bit about this. This
- 3:10Speaker 1: lady I don't even know if you said a lady yet,
- 3:13Speaker 1: And there was like a poster or picture of her, Yeah,
- 3:18Speaker 1: which is really cool, which is really cool.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Well, I'll catch you guys up really quickly on just
- 3:23Speaker 2: the quick version of this before we dive into it,
- 3:26Speaker 2: so you understand what Nichol's talking about. The hotel is
- 3:29Speaker 2: known to be haunted by what is known, or so
- 3:32Speaker 2: the legend says, the lady in red mm hm. And
- 3:36Speaker 2: you walk into the lobby here there is a big
- 3:38Speaker 2: photograph down the lobby of a lady in a gorgeous,
- 3:43Speaker 2: beautiful ballroom dress that is red, and they have it
- 3:47Speaker 2: there in honor of said lady in red, but they
- 3:49Speaker 2: don't have it labeled lady in red. That's just there.
- 3:52Speaker 1: If you know, which is funny because they had other
- 3:55Speaker 1: pictures and they some of them had labels on them,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and I'm like, this one's not labeled. Yeah, but they,
- 4:01Speaker 1: like you said, they may not want to broadcast at
- 4:04Speaker 1: the hotel could potentially be haunted.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure that they embrace it. Clearly they do
- 4:09Speaker 2: by the picture in.
- 4:10Speaker 1: The moment, if you ask, and if you know, But
- 4:12Speaker 1: they're not.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Going to broadcast that to people who are staying here
- 4:16Speaker 2: who don't know about the legend.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Or aren't into that sort of thing.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So it'd be like, oh, by the way, do you
- 4:21Speaker 2: know that this hotel's haunted, And you're just like, excuse me,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I'm staying here with my three little kids for vacation.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And I just spent four hundred dollars a night. It's what.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So, yeah, maybe they're not broadcasting it, but they certainly
- 4:32Speaker 2: do embrace it for those who do understand and have
- 4:34Speaker 2: knowledge of legend, which.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Is probably a good way of doing it, actually.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I think. So yeah, I do want to disclose two
- 4:40Speaker 2: little things before we dive into this. Okay, the lady
- 4:43Speaker 2: in Red the song you know, Lady Reade, that song
- 4:49Speaker 2: has nothing to well, there's an old song from nineteen
- 4:51Speaker 2: eighty six from Chris de Burgh something whatever anyways, has
- 4:56Speaker 2: nothing to do with this Lady in Red.
- 4:57Speaker 1: No, no, does, just another Lady in Red.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Well, that song was actually written about his wife, I believe,
- 5:04Speaker 2: is what it was. Okay, And there he found that
- 5:07Speaker 2: it was like pretty interesting that many men couldn't remember
- 5:10Speaker 2: what their woman was wearing first night they met, and
- 5:13Speaker 2: so he Lady in Red, the red he couldn't remember.
- 5:16Speaker 2: He just kind of wrote read as in like the
- 5:19Speaker 2: over blanket blanketing thing of what she was wearing. It's
- 5:24Speaker 2: kind of I don't know, it was kind of an
- 5:25Speaker 2: interesting read. I kind of just zoomed past it because
- 5:28Speaker 2: I was like, oh, whatever, it's it's not what you
- 5:32Speaker 2: were wearing, Lulu Lemon.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I was wearing my gym strip.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe in gym class yep. And the second thing
- 5:40Speaker 2: I did want to note is that Google actually defines
- 5:43Speaker 2: Lady in Red as a generalization for a ghost as
- 5:46Speaker 2: a type of female ghost attributed to prostitutes or a
- 5:49Speaker 2: jilted lover. Okay, which again, though this is a Lady
- 5:53Speaker 2: in Red ghost or paranormal activity, she is not neither
- 5:56Speaker 2: a prostitute nor a jilted.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Lover, so you have to be like very when you're googling,
- 6:01Speaker 1: yes to find info about her.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So, okay, if you google the Vancouver fair sorry, Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver,
- 6:08Speaker 2: Lady in Red, you'll find your information. Okay, but still
- 6:12Speaker 2: there's not very much out there on her. No, so
- 6:14Speaker 2: what I did find. Let's start with the hotel's history
- 6:19Speaker 2: before we get into the Lady of Red, Lady in Red. So,
- 6:22Speaker 2: the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver began construction in nineteen thirty nine,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and it was also known as the Castle in the
- 6:29Speaker 2: City or Castle in the Sky, which is very cool. Well,
- 6:33Speaker 2: it very pretty much looks like a castle, especially back
- 6:36Speaker 2: then because there's like gargoyles out in the peaks of
- 6:38Speaker 2: the building and all that sort of thing.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Like, I love how much time they spent on designing
- 6:42Speaker 1: buildings and stuff. I mean, they's probably still sent that
- 6:45Speaker 1: much of time, but it just looks really cool.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Definitely, they took their time. It was a labor of
- 6:49Speaker 2: love and actually took a total of eleven years to complete,
- 6:53Speaker 2: mostly because of the financial problems during the Great Depression. Wow,
- 6:57Speaker 2: but it did take eleven years to complete the building
- 6:59Speaker 2: totally hotel. So the hotel was constructed by the Canadian
- 7:04Speaker 2: National Railroad and the Canadian Pacific Railroad who joined to
- 7:08Speaker 2: operate the hotel, which is kind of interesting.
- 7:11Speaker 1: That's very interesting.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I'm not too sure why two railroad operators would want
- 7:14Speaker 2: to build a hotel, but they did, and we are
- 7:17Speaker 2: left with this masterpiece.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes sense in which way in the way
- 7:22Speaker 1: that they need their guests somewhere to stay.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, sense, Yeah, fair enough.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Because I did actually notice we passed it. I meant
- 7:31Speaker 1: to point it out, but I did see like it.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh it was was it kind of where we had
- 7:36Speaker 3: lunch or drinks that one day by the rouge or
- 7:39Speaker 3: whatever Canadian Pacific Railway or Canadian Railway, Like there was
- 7:43Speaker 3: a sign.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Oh really, but it's quite far from here. Yeah, I
- 7:47Speaker 1: don't know, but things were like far away back then.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Well I know, I do know that the railway had
- 7:50Speaker 2: quite a big part in Canada's history and building and everything,
- 7:54Speaker 2: so it's kind of understandable that they had a part
- 7:57Speaker 2: to play in historical buildings and monuments that sort of stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But yeah, just them two joining together for a hotel
- 8:03Speaker 2: seems odd to me. But yeah, I guess having a
- 8:05Speaker 2: spot for your guests to stay is pretty good. So okay.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So John Smith Archibald, we can love that name. Archibald.
- 8:14Speaker 2: That's like dope. You can trust a man with a
- 8:17Speaker 2: name Archibald, you think, oh, definitely. And John Schofield he
- 8:22Speaker 2: sounds sus to me, suspicious Schofield. That sounds like someone
- 8:26Speaker 2: lurking around the corner. So you have a trustworthy dude
- 8:28Speaker 2: and a non trustworthy dude in my opinion, just via.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Their names judging these names.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Definitely, they're just two dudes. Don't. Don't dive into too
- 8:36Speaker 2: much of what I'm saying. They were actually architects. They
- 8:39Speaker 2: were the architects behind the project, and they actually used
- 8:41Speaker 2: a different architectural style than normal, known as chateau esque,
- 8:46Speaker 2: which is a style based in French Renaissance architecture. Okay,
- 8:51Speaker 2: so you'll see that if you know your architecture at all,
- 8:54Speaker 2: on the outside and inside of this building. So in
- 8:58Speaker 2: the nineteen forties, the hotel resembled, like I said, a castle.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It was an engineering miracle with seventeen floors, a unique
- 9:05Speaker 2: copper roof, and a cost of twelve million dollars. Wow,
- 9:10Speaker 2: that's in the forties.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Okay, what would I gosh? I wonder what the equivalent
- 9:15Speaker 1: of that would be.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Now I didn't look at that. It would be a
- 9:18Speaker 2: lot of money.
- 9:19Speaker 1: So the roof of this is copper.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I don't know if it still is, but at last
- 9:23Speaker 2: at least.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Was Okay, the roof is very cool.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Now I would assume it's copper, but I don't know
- 9:29Speaker 2: to be honest. So today, the downtown five star hotel
- 9:34Speaker 2: is located on West Georgia Street between Barrard and Hornby.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's really it's on a corner of Georgia and Barrard
- 9:44Speaker 2: there we go. Took me a moment to remember the
- 9:45Speaker 2: street name which one it was, and it's known as
- 9:48Speaker 2: the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It's very close to Robson if people like to go shopping,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and very close.
- 9:55Speaker 2: To Gastown if you like your beer and.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Food and like Canada place and everything. It's actually sweet.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Okay, it is really good location. But for the history,
- 10:03Speaker 2: for the downtown location, you do pay a little extra
- 10:06Speaker 2: dollar for staying here. We got a sweet deal, so
- 10:09Speaker 2: that's why we're staying here.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Well, this the Fairmount name attached itself. Yes, yes, but
- 10:13Speaker 1: you know COVID we got a deal.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, when we saw that it was the deal.
- 10:17Speaker 2: We're like, Okay, we're heading to Vancouver. We can have
- 10:19Speaker 2: a deal on a place where we can do an
- 10:20Speaker 2: epic podcast on this ghost. Now's the time. So we
- 10:24Speaker 2: did it and we're here. So the hotel underwent a
- 10:28Speaker 2: five year renovation project in twenty fourteen to twenty nineteen,
- 10:31Speaker 2: which cost seventy five million dollars. A new lobby, upscale
- 10:37Speaker 2: boutiques like Gucci and Dior are downstairs. The Notch eight
- 10:41Speaker 2: bar and restaurant, and luxurious fourteenth floor Heritage suites were
- 10:46Speaker 2: at it. All guests and the fourteenth floor suites received
- 10:50Speaker 2: the Fairmont Gold privileges with access to a private lounge.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Fairmont Gold is like a hotel within a hotel. It
- 10:58Speaker 2: offers private check ins, continental breakfast, concierge services. It's like
- 11:03Speaker 2: the bougie place in the hotel, like the bougiest of
- 11:08Speaker 2: the bougie.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Oh wow, it sounds very bougie.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It's bie.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Why aren't we staying there?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Did I say it's bougie? No, on a scale of
- 11:17Speaker 2: one to ten. On a scale of one to bougie,
- 11:20Speaker 2: it's bougie. That's a bogie.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It sounds like it. I almost wanted to, like you
- 11:26Speaker 1: probably can.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I'm sure it's like security, but I'm pretty sure it is.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Meek up there and see what it's all about.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It's it's a lot of dollars to stay on that floor.
- 11:33Speaker 1: A lot of dollar bills.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Oh, definitely. The hotel was actually rushed to be complete though,
- 11:39Speaker 2: when it was being built back in the day. Okay,
- 11:43Speaker 2: so the King King George the fifth and Queen Elizabeth
- 11:48Speaker 2: could stay here because they were actually in Canada doing
- 11:51Speaker 2: a tour at the time, so they rushed to finish
- 11:53Speaker 2: it so that they could come. And they basically, like
- 11:55Speaker 2: they didn't physically do a ribbon cutting ceremony, but they
- 11:58Speaker 2: basically did like the ribbon cutting sort of thing opening
- 12:00Speaker 2: the hotel, and they stayed I believe on the fourteenth floor.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I don't know for sure, but they stayed in the
- 12:06Speaker 2: nicer rooms and stuff which have always been on the
- 12:08Speaker 2: fourteenth floor. They just recently kind of made.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It even more bouge. Yeah, am I saying that right?
- 12:14Speaker 2: Bougie? Bougie, bougie? How many times are we going to
- 12:17Speaker 2: say bougie?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Are people annoyed yet by that work that I am?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, We've said it like forty times so far.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But imagine like being that important that these people like
- 12:30Speaker 1: get their asking you to finish this like multimillion dollar hotel.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Right right, just for the King and Queens' not so
- 12:40Speaker 2: like I said, it was, it's an amazing hotel back
- 12:44Speaker 2: in the day. It still is today. Back in the day, though,
- 12:47Speaker 2: it was like one of the grandest hotels in Vancouver
- 12:50Speaker 2: and it immediately became a place where all of Vancouver
- 12:53Speaker 2: gathered for its important business social events. It was a
- 12:58Speaker 2: it's still a position that the hotel means maintains today,
- 13:01Speaker 2: you know, honestly.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But oh yeah, back.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Then it was like even more grand, right well that's.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Even when we checked in, I was like, it's like
- 13:08Speaker 1: feels really like old fashioned, but it still does have
- 13:11Speaker 1: this like like you feel important and.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Like this grand when you walk in, you almost you
- 13:16Speaker 2: feel bougie.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah, And so to be that old but like to
- 13:19Speaker 1: have kept that reputation, I feel like it's fantastic.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Definitely, definitely, because you walk in here, you there are
- 13:25Speaker 2: original fixtures, furniture that sort of stuff around and you
- 13:30Speaker 2: can tell it's dated for sure.
- 13:32Speaker 1: But but not in a super bad way.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Not in a bad way. Yeah, it's it's dated in
- 13:37Speaker 2: a bougie way. Good, I'm gonna stop saying bougie. I'm sorry.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Okay, if anyone wants to, like, count how many times
- 13:44Speaker 1: and let us know how many times oh and said
- 13:46Speaker 1: that word, do it up?
- 13:48Speaker 2: Do it? I dare you? I double dairy. Okay, So
- 13:52Speaker 2: the hotel is seen, it's fair share of famous guests.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Like I said, both the King and the Queen of
- 13:57Speaker 2: State here in the nineteen forties, Roy and his horse
- 14:01Speaker 2: Trigger showed up at one point to take a photo
- 14:04Speaker 2: on the rooftop of the Panorama Ballroom, and at one
- 14:07Speaker 2: point a baby elephant was actually even smuggled into the hotel.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I couldn't find what for. I'm assuming it was
- 14:15Speaker 2: for that same photo shoot, but I don't know, but
- 14:18Speaker 2: a baby elephant apparently has been in here for some reason.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Very cool.
- 14:23Speaker 2: The list of celebrities that have been here literally goes on.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You were actually telling me that there's like autographs down
- 14:29Speaker 2: by the spa area of celebrities who've been here. Some
- 14:32Speaker 2: of the ones that I came up with include like Celine, Dion,
- 14:35Speaker 2: Hallie Berry, Joe Biden, Elton John and again they all
- 14:39Speaker 2: stay on the.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Fourteenth foot You mean something if you're on that floor, right, Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I really want to know how much it costs a night.
- 14:46Speaker 2: We should look into it.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Maybe one day, not right now.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So that's a little bit on the history of the hotel.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Now let's get into the legend of the Lady in
- 14:56Speaker 2: Red ya.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: The legend side of the Fairmount Hotel, Vancouver actually be begins
- 15:00Speaker 2: with a twenty five year old woman named Jenny Pearl
- 15:03Speaker 2: Cox Cox Jenny or how how old are you? I'm
- 15:08Speaker 2: thirty three. Jenny or Pearl as her friends have always
- 15:12Speaker 2: called her, was married to her husband Harold, and together
- 15:15Speaker 2: they had their six year old daughter, Dorothy or Dottie
- 15:18Speaker 2: as they called her.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Is that like Lord of the Rings Harry Potter?
- 15:23Speaker 3: What?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Oops?
- 15:24Speaker 1: I mean that's like Harry Potter. Dottie or that little thing?
- 15:28Speaker 2: What are you are you talking about, Dobby Doby?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Yeah, the house. Okay, sorry, the name is wrong or shamed?
- 15:35Speaker 1: I thought the same thing you are.
- 15:37Speaker 2: We are going to have a serious talk after this.
- 15:40Speaker 2: That's that's unacceptable. You just crushed my little nerd heart. Anyways,
- 15:46Speaker 2: Dottie dott was their daughter's nickname.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Okay, that's cute.
- 15:51Speaker 2: When they met. Hold On, I'm sorry, I think I
- 15:56Speaker 2: have a mixed up sentence there. That doesn't make sense.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Oh okay, their first rodeo.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Maybe it was, Maybe it is. Maybe it will never
- 16:07Speaker 2: be my first because that's going to be my last.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm saying at this point. This
- 16:13Speaker 2: is a disaster of an episode. Ignore me. Okay, So
- 16:17Speaker 2: they fell in love with the Vancouver Hotel. Okay, the
- 16:20Speaker 2: Fairmont was the place of all places to be and
- 16:24Speaker 2: Christmas of nineteen thirty nine. It was Christmas was quickly
- 16:28Speaker 2: approaching story in nineteen thirty nine and a grand social
- 16:30Speaker 2: ball was being held at the hotel, and word around
- 16:33Speaker 2: the city grew of the grand castle in the city,
- 16:36Speaker 2: and with the war and depression now being over, the
- 16:38Speaker 2: city was a buzz with the activity. Dressmakers and tailors
- 16:42Speaker 2: did very well this year, as everyone was anxious to
- 16:44Speaker 2: celebrate and they wanted to look their best.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Well, that's fun. That's like us getting out of COVID.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Definitely, definitely, I mean not to that quite.
- 16:54Speaker 1: To that extent, but you know what I mean, Like, yes,
- 16:56Speaker 1: similar excitement.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yes, although they went through a hell of a lot
- 17:00Speaker 2: more than we did. Did but yes, I see the comparison.
- 17:03Speaker 2: So Pearl had a beautiful red gown specifically made for
- 17:07Speaker 2: this Christmas event for her and her husband, who had
- 17:11Speaker 2: both planned to attend. Well, her husband didn't have a
- 17:13Speaker 2: red dress.
- 17:13Speaker 1: She just did, which I love that she got a
- 17:16Speaker 1: red dress made for her.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I love that definitely. She was so pumped for this,
- 17:20Speaker 2: so she got herself an elegant, nice red ball gown made.
- 17:24Speaker 2: They checked into the hotel the day of the ball.
- 17:26Speaker 2: The evening was incredible. There was a grand Christmas tree
- 17:29Speaker 2: that stood in the lobby, and the halls were decorated
- 17:32Speaker 2: top to bottom for the Christmas event.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I can literally picture this.
- 17:36Speaker 1: We too actually love it, Like it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Sounds well, just like you said, amazing, and I'm not
- 17:41Speaker 2: going to say it, but it does sound very Yeah.
- 17:48Speaker 2: The banquet hall held a massive feast that would make
- 17:51Speaker 2: the Grinch like literally be like I need to be
- 17:53Speaker 2: here and steal the shit. I think it was fancy
- 17:55Speaker 2: as fuck. The Pacific ballrooms where everyone was dancing the
- 17:59Speaker 2: whole evening away. It was a perfect evening and Pearl
- 18:02Speaker 2: and many others it was just like the night to
- 18:05Speaker 2: remember for all of them. That's so cool, Like can
- 18:08Speaker 2: you think back, like, think back to nineteen twenty.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Imagine how to dance and shit too, and.
- 18:15Speaker 2: They looked good, fancy dress, fucking gorgeous gowns, tailored suits.
- 18:21Speaker 1: It like it's and everyone's like really respectable and like elegant.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I definitely have this visual in my brain.
- 18:31Speaker 2: There's no technology around.
- 18:33Speaker 1: What else are you sitting there on your cell phone?
- 18:35Speaker 3: Now?
- 18:35Speaker 2: People are interacting, they're talking, they're laughing, They're having this
- 18:38Speaker 2: amazing evening in this castle in the center of the
- 18:42Speaker 2: city that is just being constructed, where the King and
- 18:45Speaker 2: Queen basically anointed the opening of this building. It is
- 18:49Speaker 2: the epitome of the perfect elegant evening for these individuals. Absolutely,
- 18:56Speaker 2: so it became an annual event for the hotel. The
- 18:58Speaker 2: city of Vancouver just embraced it. Everyone loved it, and
- 19:01Speaker 2: it was being held year after year. Pearl in her
- 19:05Speaker 2: family I say family because I was red family, But
- 19:09Speaker 2: there's no actual talk of the daughter being there. Okay,
- 19:12Speaker 2: but it does say family attended the event, so I'm
- 19:16Speaker 2: assuming they brought their daughter.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Maybe she even stayed in the hotel.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Potentially Potentially, so Pearl in her family attended the event
- 19:25Speaker 2: annually for five years. They returned to the Grand Christmas
- 19:28Speaker 2: Ball to enjoy the incredible evenings. Then, in the summer
- 19:32Speaker 2: of nineteen ninety four, Harol, Dottie and Pearl were returning
- 19:37Speaker 2: from a picnic trip in the countryside. On their way back,
- 19:41Speaker 2: they didn't see the truck coming around the corner until
- 19:44Speaker 2: it was too late. They were in a horrific car
- 19:46Speaker 2: accident and Pearl in her family died there on the
- 19:49Speaker 2: side of the country road.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Dang, dang.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It's kind of almost ironic if you think of it,
- 19:59Speaker 2: because they love to live this beautiful Wow. I stumbled
- 20:03Speaker 2: that word beautiful elegant lifestyle in these ballrooms and everything,
- 20:07Speaker 2: and they died this like beautiful elegant death like this
- 20:12Speaker 2: country road, coming back from a picnic back in the
- 20:16Speaker 2: city as a family. Yeah, Like, it's how can you
- 20:21Speaker 2: paint a more beautiful death?
- 20:22Speaker 1: Honestly, die together exactly.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Not that it was an enjoyable death. I'm sure there
- 20:27Speaker 2: was definite pain involved, but it's just this picture perfect
- 20:33Speaker 2: they're all together enjoying the day sort.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Of thing, like notebook style. Yeah, definitely, like it should
- 20:40Speaker 1: be made into a movie.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Oh I think, well, I'll get into that a little
- 20:46Speaker 2: bit later actually. So what's interesting is Pearl and her
- 20:50Speaker 2: family didn't actually die at the hotel, but instead they
- 20:55Speaker 2: were returning to the hotel after their death. Because Pearl
- 21:01Speaker 2: is the Lady in Red, clearly she haunts this hotel.
- 21:04Speaker 2: So she came back to the hotel apparently with her family.
- 21:10Speaker 1: To one of her favorite spots.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Basically exactly, she haunts this place after her death, and
- 21:16Speaker 2: it's just she didn't die anywhere near here, so she's
- 21:20Speaker 2: coming back because it's her favorite place. She has these memories.
- 21:23Speaker 2: It's where they want to be in the.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Afterlife, which is awesome. If you could choose, I asked
- 21:29Speaker 1: you there, it is like, where would you choose? And
- 21:30Speaker 1: you're like, I don't even know.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know. If I could really
- 21:34Speaker 2: pick a place, I think, to be honest, I would
- 21:37Speaker 2: probably haunt a forest, a forest away from people. I
- 21:42Speaker 2: love the outdoors, So like a lake or something. Eh, yes, yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 2: hands down, Yeah, somewhere with the lake. I'd be like
- 21:50Speaker 2: the creepy ghost in the forest chasing kids away.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Oh wow, Okay, so you wouldn't be quite like Pearl style,
- 21:56Speaker 1: you'd be a little more intense.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, course you would. Of course, what does that
- 22:01Speaker 2: even mean? So they literally now spend every day living
- 22:06Speaker 2: an eternity of dancing the ballrooms, walking the halls of
- 22:09Speaker 2: the place that they loved. Pearl chose to wear her
- 22:13Speaker 2: favorite dress, her favorite red dress that she had made,
- 22:17Speaker 2: and where what she wore when she was the happiest.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Oh, I love that.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Over the years, hotel guests and employees have reported seeing
- 22:24Speaker 2: Pearl's ghosts in the lobby, stairway, ballrooms, and especially along
- 22:30Speaker 2: the fourteenth floor, which is the boogiest place in the hotel.
- 22:35Speaker 1: That's where she feels like she belongs.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Right, I like it. Go get it, girl, You're worth it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Do it.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So, like I said, this is the grandest level. I
- 22:42Speaker 2: didn't say the B word. This is the grandest level
- 22:44Speaker 2: with the hotel. All the guests in the fourteenth floor
- 22:47Speaker 2: suites receive the Fairmount Gold privileges, like I said, along
- 22:51Speaker 2: with access to the lounge. It's just where Pearl fits.
- 22:54Speaker 1: In and the occasional haunting up there.
- 22:58Speaker 2: And the occasional haunting. So when the hotel was actually
- 23:04Speaker 2: originally built, two of the eight elevators never were completed,
- 23:09Speaker 2: leaving empty shafts behind locked doors and if you actually
- 23:11Speaker 2: go to the lobby now there are six elevators there.
- 23:14Speaker 2: So two of the empty elevators. I don't know where
- 23:18Speaker 2: they're hidden. I couldn't find any its doors, but they
- 23:20Speaker 2: are back there somewhere. There's two empty elevator shafts.
- 23:24Speaker 1: That's like creeping in itself.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Really, I don't love that, right, So, like I said, today,
- 23:29Speaker 2: they're still there. Hasn't changed, And there have been reports
- 23:33Speaker 2: of people seeing Pearl walk into where these elevator shafts were,
- 23:37Speaker 2: or behind these locked doors where there's nothing.
- 23:40Speaker 1: It's like her personal elevators.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Maybe there's numerous stories and how she turned lights on
- 23:49Speaker 2: and off, opens and closes doors. And she's actually even
- 23:53Speaker 2: been seen sitting in hotel guest rooms.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Wow, oh right, didn't you say that there was like
- 23:59Speaker 1: a someone that like came into their room and then
- 24:03Speaker 1: there is They're like, oh, sorry, am I jumping ahead?
- 24:06Speaker 2: No, it's totally good, we're right there. You know the
- 24:07Speaker 2: story too, you tell it well.
- 24:09Speaker 1: And they basically came into the room and they're like, oh,
- 24:11Speaker 1: they're oh sorry, like there's someone in here went back
- 24:13Speaker 1: to the front desk or someone like you gave us
- 24:16Speaker 1: the wrong room. There's someone like occupying that room and
- 24:18Speaker 1: they're like, uh, no, that's.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Your room, yeah exactly, And that was Pearl. So it
- 24:23Speaker 2: was a family that checked into the hotel, just like
- 24:25Speaker 2: you said. They went up to their room, they walk
- 24:27Speaker 2: in and there was someone else in there. So they
- 24:29Speaker 2: close the door. They go back to the lobby and
- 24:31Speaker 2: they say, I think you might have double booked us.
- 24:33Speaker 2: They double check, No, there's no one in there, like,
- 24:36Speaker 2: it's it's your room. There shouldn't be anyone else in
- 24:39Speaker 2: the room, goodness, And they explained, well, no, when we
- 24:42Speaker 2: opened the door, we saw a lady in a red dress.
- 24:44Speaker 2: E Pearl was in the room.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That's wild. I like, so secretly want to see her,
- 24:52Speaker 1: but I also like, don't.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I honestly, I would be terrified if I saw her.
- 24:59Speaker 2: But the nice thing this is there are no reports
- 25:01Speaker 2: of Pearl being malicious. It's just her living her best life.
- 25:06Speaker 2: She's just here, She's just doing her thing. So I
- 25:10Speaker 2: think if you see Pearl, yeah, you'd be fucking scared
- 25:13Speaker 2: because you just saw a fucking ghost. But I don't
- 25:17Speaker 2: think you have anything to worry about.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Well, I think my main fear is, like you know,
- 25:20Speaker 1: when you kind of wake up in the middle of
- 25:22Speaker 1: the night, You're like, turn around or toss around. That's
- 25:25Speaker 1: every time I wake up. I'm like, shit, no, I
- 25:28Speaker 1: want to look around, because that would be the moment
- 25:30Speaker 1: that I'd be like, oh my goodness, I don't want.
- 25:31Speaker 2: To see you that I actually did the exact same
- 25:33Speaker 2: thing a couple times, like wake up in the middle of
- 25:34Speaker 2: the night, and I go to roll over, and I
- 25:36Speaker 2: open my eyes briefly and I quickly shut them tight,
- 25:38Speaker 2: like I don't want to see what could be looming
- 25:40Speaker 2: over being in the dark, or something.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Like, oh my gosh.
- 25:43Speaker 2: There's another report actually, on May twenty seventh, twenty seventeen,
- 25:47Speaker 2: a man by the name of Scott Graham photographed what
- 25:50Speaker 2: he thought was a woman dressed in a red dress
- 25:53Speaker 2: looking down onto West Georgia Street from the sixteenth floor window,
- 25:57Speaker 2: and if you google this, it is one of the
- 25:59Speaker 2: first images that oh wow, he considered this concrete proof
- 26:05Speaker 2: for the ghost of Jenny Cox or aka Pearl Cox.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And this photos actually exist and shows like a woman
- 26:12Speaker 1: in a red dress.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'll show you this image. It shows a red something
- 26:18Speaker 2: in a window. Okay, okay, so there are actual reports reports.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Who knows there I couldn't find definitive yes or no
- 26:28Speaker 2: on this, but there are reports that the sixteenth and
- 26:31Speaker 2: seventeenth floor are offices and at the time they were
- 26:35Speaker 2: undergoing renovations, and that the red dress in the window
- 26:38Speaker 2: was apparently just a red tarp.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Oh okay, which could be yes.
- 26:44Speaker 2: However, I just want to point out one thing. I've
- 26:46Speaker 2: never seen a red tarp in my life, like.
- 26:49Speaker 1: A construction area that uses red.
- 26:52Speaker 2: It's any tarp. I've ever seen blue or orange, and
- 26:56Speaker 2: sometimes green, occasionally white. It's usually not tarping, but yet
- 26:59Speaker 2: its white draping of some sort.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're right. I don't think I would have
- 27:04Speaker 1: ever seen red.
- 27:05Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever noticed a red tarp ever,
- 27:08Speaker 2: so that's something to be noted. But there is an
- 27:10Speaker 2: image there. We will post that on Instagram, so you
- 27:12Speaker 2: can check that out if you'd like, and I will
- 27:14Speaker 2: show you after the episode. I can't believe you haven't
- 27:16Speaker 2: seen the image yet.
- 27:17Speaker 1: No, I haven't even showed me. Thanks that a lot.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You're welcome. So the Fairmount was actually also used in
- 27:22Speaker 2: numerous occasions for filming episodes of a show you might
- 27:27Speaker 2: have heard known as The X Files. If you don't
- 27:30Speaker 2: know it. It's a science fiction show that which ran
- 27:33Speaker 2: for eleven years. The show involved two FBI agents who
- 27:36Speaker 2: investigated paranormal phenomena such as ghosts. I couldn't find all
- 27:42Speaker 2: the information on which episodes were filmed here, but I
- 27:46Speaker 2: don't believe any any of them were involving the lady
- 27:50Speaker 2: in red. It was just this is a location. The
- 27:51Speaker 2: hotel's playing another hotel sort of thing, because it's a
- 27:54Speaker 2: fictional show. So where am I here?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Yes?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Okay, So while on the property filming the show, one
- 28:03Speaker 2: of the crew members encountered a ghostly woman dressed in
- 28:06Speaker 2: a red dress, and the crew member actually refused to
- 28:10Speaker 2: come back to set to continue filming while at the hotel.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Scared him that much, Eh.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Scared him that much. Yeah, So there is one thing
- 28:22Speaker 2: I want to point out here before we really carry
- 28:26Speaker 2: on to anything else. I did say Pearl and her
- 28:29Speaker 2: family were killed on a countryside road. Yes, there is
- 28:33Speaker 2: another report. Because there's not much on this story, there's
- 28:36Speaker 2: a little bit of hearsay back and forth between a
- 28:38Speaker 2: lot of things. One of the reports actually that I
- 28:40Speaker 2: did find says it wasn't that it was she actually
- 28:43Speaker 2: died in a car crash in the summer nineteen ninety
- 28:46Speaker 2: four or nineteen forty four near the corner of Berrard
- 28:48Speaker 2: in Georgia, which is just outside the hotel. So that's
- 28:52Speaker 2: where some people say the car accident was, which would.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I guess would make more sense of why she haunts
- 28:57Speaker 1: or like resides here.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Now potentially, Yes, yeah, so I still don't know.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I like the countryside one better, so do I.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I think it's that picture perfect sort of thing. Yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 2: So I like that. I'm going to go with that.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Uh literally, though anything else trying to research on Pearl
- 29:16Speaker 2: has left me with an immediate dead end. There's not
- 29:19Speaker 2: much and no one can actually even find a grave
- 29:22Speaker 2: for Pearl or her family where they were lated to
- 29:24Speaker 2: rest or anything. So who's to even say that there
- 29:28Speaker 2: was a fatal car accident.
- 29:30Speaker 1: It's so interesting that there isn't more out there, because
- 29:33Speaker 1: like even before I had heard this, like the Pharamont
- 29:38Speaker 1: lady in Red, but then I didn't know any other information.
- 29:41Speaker 1: But it's just so shocking that there isn't more out
- 29:43Speaker 1: there about this story.
- 29:45Speaker 2: That's one of the things around this that's like, Okay,
- 29:47Speaker 2: so if there isn't any information on Pearl, the accident
- 29:50Speaker 2: or anything. Did she ever exist?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Right?
- 29:53Speaker 2: Was this some sort of hoax that was made up
- 29:55Speaker 2: by someone potentially even who knows the hotel?
- 30:01Speaker 1: Why would the hotel want to make that up? Though?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Well, some people think that the hotel could have come
- 30:06Speaker 2: up with this as a marketing ploy, you know, bringing
- 30:08Speaker 2: people in to want to stay here, haunted hotel, spread
- 30:11Speaker 2: the word around who knows.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Doesn't seem like the vibe they're exactly going for.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I agree it sounds a little bit off marketing to me,
- 30:19Speaker 2: but you never know. But that is one thing people
- 30:22Speaker 2: toy around with the idea on that this could be
- 30:24Speaker 2: just a big old marketing ploy.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Well, it's just it is. It's like she so sounds
- 30:30Speaker 1: so elegant too, you know, which is something that they're
- 30:33Speaker 1: going after. And I had big hopes and dreams that
- 30:36Speaker 1: we would be seeing her see because okay, when we
- 30:40Speaker 1: first checked in, we.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Did have an experience and it's definitely so.
- 30:45Speaker 1: We checked in, fight us, got our cards, came to
- 30:48Speaker 1: our room, put all our luggage away, blah blah blah.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Then we went and had like a breakfast or lunch
- 30:54Speaker 1: or whatever and drinks.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Came back a few hours later, a.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Few hours later and both of our cards don't open
- 31:01Speaker 1: the door, like they're just like it's like it wasn't
- 31:04Speaker 1: coded to our room.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So we go down and actually try to like get
- 31:07Speaker 2: new cards whatever, and she tells us like, no, like
- 31:10Speaker 2: the cards have been erased.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Yeah, like just nothing on them, Like there's no trace
- 31:14Speaker 1: that they were even ever assigned to our room.
- 31:16Speaker 2: So that's a little freaking in itself.
- 31:19Speaker 1: And so yeah, I was like, oh, this is it.
- 31:21Speaker 1: We're gonna see her.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. And like, if you actually watch any ghost
- 31:25Speaker 2: hunting or anything like that, I have quite a bit actually,
- 31:28Speaker 2: all sit up on night shift till three a m.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Walk down the rabbit hole on YouTube and stuff, and
- 31:34Speaker 2: magnetic fields are very much attributed to ghosts and ghost
- 31:38Speaker 2: hunting and the energy that they draw in tell me that.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah definitely. So one thing she suggested that maybe
- 31:45Speaker 2: we brushed up against a really strong magnet or something
- 31:48Speaker 2: that could have erased their cards.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Where was Where were I? Where were ya? Holy? I
- 31:52Speaker 1: can't talk? Where were these cards? I was? I can
- 31:54Speaker 1: my purse? Yeah, well the only place I ever hold
- 31:58Speaker 1: cards for like into a hotel room.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah, next to your credit card. That was not a race.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my credit card still work.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so who knows wild some where I can. We
- 32:11Speaker 2: completely went off track here in the last like paragraph
- 32:13Speaker 2: is a little bit back and forth. I'm just going
- 32:15Speaker 2: to not read that and I know what it's about.
- 32:17Speaker 2: So we're just going to discuss this here. One thing
- 32:19Speaker 2: that I want to say I think could be and
- 32:22Speaker 2: this is a little left field. You kind of got
- 32:26Speaker 2: to believe in this sort of stuff to really think
- 32:28Speaker 2: that this could be what happened. There are some people
- 32:33Speaker 2: who think that maybe, like if you talk about something enough,
- 32:38Speaker 2: something will manifest from it, right like manifest destiny sort
- 32:41Speaker 2: of thing, Like if you say you're gonna get an
- 32:43Speaker 2: A in this class, and you keep saying and keep
- 32:45Speaker 2: saying it, you will believe it and you will do it.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Right now, I don't agree with that.
- 32:50Speaker 2: With the ghosts, well, hold on because one thing that
- 32:52Speaker 2: people say is that if you put out that sort
- 32:56Speaker 2: of energy into the world. Okay, so even if Pearl
- 33:01Speaker 2: doesn't exist, there is no Lady in red, but people
- 33:03Speaker 2: start believing that there's lady in red. There's fear energy,
- 33:07Speaker 2: there's whatever feelings, there's moods, and there's energy being put
- 33:12Speaker 2: out there. And that energy manifests into whatever is being
- 33:17Speaker 2: put out there, and thus a Lady in Red apparition appears.
- 33:23Speaker 2: So there are some people who believe that, and I
- 33:25Speaker 2: think if that's the way energy works, that could be
- 33:29Speaker 2: a plausible answer for it. So there is no actual
- 33:32Speaker 2: Lady in Red. It's just a manifestation of what people
- 33:35Speaker 2: are putting out into the universe sort of thing.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Oh okay, I thought you were going to say, if
- 33:40Speaker 1: you believe kind of and and are wanting to attract
- 33:44Speaker 1: that sort of energy, that then you maybe would get
- 33:46Speaker 1: visited by her. Is kind of where I thought you
- 33:50Speaker 1: were going with that.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Well, that does kind of lead into like my next note,
- 33:53Speaker 2: mass hysteria. You say, you have your cards erased for
- 34:00Speaker 2: your room, and maybe you did bump up against really
- 34:02Speaker 2: strong magnet walking by a construction site or something, and
- 34:05Speaker 2: you attribute it to the ghost, and all of a
- 34:06Speaker 2: sudden you're freaked out.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Yeah, because anything that she that front ask lady said,
- 34:10Speaker 1: I was like no, in my head, I'm like, nope,
- 34:13Speaker 1: that's the Lady in Red.
- 34:14Speaker 2: No. Or maybe you have a dream about the Lady
- 34:16Speaker 2: in Red and thought you woke up and saw her
- 34:18Speaker 2: standing over you, and then you wake up and be
- 34:20Speaker 2: like no, I saw her. Yeah, Or you're someone in
- 34:24Speaker 2: an adjacent building see a red tarp in a window,
- 34:26Speaker 2: think it's a lady in red.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Hysteria could be a big part in this.
- 34:31Speaker 1: It could be, it could totally be.
- 34:34Speaker 2: One thing's for sure is that the legend is going
- 34:36Speaker 2: to be here to stay totally because she is well,
- 34:40Speaker 2: she's been here since the forties, so she's been here
- 34:45Speaker 2: a long time. I think she's going to be here
- 34:46Speaker 2: for a long time to come.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Do you believe in ghosts?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Oh?
- 34:48Speaker 2: I definitely do. Yeah, I'm not too sure how to
- 34:52Speaker 2: explain how I believe in ghosts. Very similar to that
- 34:55Speaker 2: sort of energy thing I was describing. I think there
- 34:57Speaker 2: are not there's no such thing as spirits per se.
- 35:01Speaker 2: But I think ghosts are almost like a projection of energy.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So when you die, there's energy from your spirit or whatever,
- 35:08Speaker 2: and I think there's a projection of that energy that
- 35:10Speaker 2: needs to go somewhere, And it might be that you
- 35:13Speaker 2: your energy goes back to where it loved its life.
- 35:17Speaker 1: It's most back or the most happiest or something.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So I think there is something connecting there, but I
- 35:22Speaker 2: don't know how or what. Yeah, So what about you.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I do. I definitely do. But and it's funny because
- 35:29Speaker 1: remember how I've gone to two psychics and they are
- 35:31Speaker 1: both of them for some odd reason, were like, one
- 35:33Speaker 1: day you're going to say something no one else is
- 35:36Speaker 1: gonna see.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Maybe it'll be the lady in Red tonight.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And they were like, you'll scare the crap, which it
- 35:41Speaker 1: probably would, especially if like you were there and you
- 35:44Speaker 1: didn't see it.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I'd be like, holy yeah, no kidding.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But I do, I do, and I don't. But I also, like,
- 35:49Speaker 1: I sometimes think you have to be open minded to
- 35:51Speaker 1: that sort of thing to like actually like let it
- 35:56Speaker 1: come to be and see it. And I know that
- 35:58Speaker 1: I'm a bit close minded, so.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Well, it's it's hard to understand and wrap your mind
- 36:02Speaker 2: around something like that when we don't know anything about it,
- 36:05Speaker 2: whether it's true, false, or anything in between. We have
- 36:08Speaker 2: no clue.
- 36:09Speaker 1: So I think it's very cool. Though. Yeah, I would
- 36:12Speaker 1: love to see her. We have we have two more nights.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Right yep. Well, here's the two more nights and here's
- 36:18Speaker 2: the pearl in her family. It's make sure you guys,
- 36:23Speaker 2: if you could get a chance, stay here at the Fairmont.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Maybe you'll see her and of course, make sure you
- 36:28Speaker 2: guys always stay wicked.
