- 0:05Speaker 1: My name is Paul Barrow. Welcome back in the tech path.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today. And then of
- 0:09Speaker 1: course that is Coinbase.
- 0:10Speaker 2: You're looking to get.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Started in your crypto journey, this is the place to go.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Go over to coinbase dot com. You can get in
- 0:16Speaker 1: there and start an account for your business, for your
- 0:18Speaker 1: individual and of course it's very easy to kind of
- 0:21Speaker 1: get started whether you want to buy, sell, or hold
- 0:23Speaker 1: your crypto. An excellent place to get it going.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Use our link down below.
- 0:28Speaker 1: It's going to give you a little bit of a
- 0:29Speaker 1: bonus to get started, and you guys can do that,
- 0:31Speaker 1: all right. So today we're going to get into a
- 0:34Speaker 1: topic around mythical games. And as you guys have seen
- 0:39Speaker 1: us talk about this before and.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We've done a few videos of it.
- 0:42Speaker 1: When we go back to Kathy Wood, of course, one
- 0:45Speaker 1: of the lead investors are invested on this, we've talked
- 0:49Speaker 1: about this. We've also looked at things around their transaction
- 0:52Speaker 1: numbers when it comes to NFT sales, still one of
- 0:55Speaker 1: the highest out there, just trailing Salona by not much.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So if you look at some of the chain analytics,
- 1:01Speaker 1: you can kind of see the project is growing pretty
- 1:03Speaker 1: significantly on the myth token, just to give you a
- 1:06Speaker 1: little bit of an idea. Also just the marketplace a
- 1:09Speaker 1: net inflow up. Also, you look at active wallets, also
- 1:13Speaker 1: a big jump we've seen here recently.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Further into it, remember.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That they are associated with Polka Dot, and one thing
- 1:21Speaker 1: that we did start to see is a little bit
- 1:22Speaker 1: of movement again.
- 1:23Speaker 2: With Polka Dot.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It kind of builds to the validity of where Poko
- 1:27Speaker 1: dot is going with some of their strategy, So we'll
- 1:29Speaker 1: get into that as well with their team. And then
- 1:32Speaker 1: last up here is just to kind of give you
- 1:33Speaker 1: an example. I'm going to go over here.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And showcase a little bit about this most.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Recent volume and move that we're continuing to see around
- 1:42Speaker 1: some of these NFTs. And that's the thing we're seeing
- 1:46Speaker 1: NFTs now that are starting to really kind of elevate
- 1:48Speaker 1: the game here. And I think when you look at
- 1:50Speaker 1: the market and what's happening with things like Pudgie Penguins,
- 1:53Speaker 1: et cetera, all of this is correlated to really the
- 1:57Speaker 1: growth of this next phase forward. I want to go
- 1:59Speaker 1: to al here and this is Lucan NAT's who is
- 2:02Speaker 1: the founder of Pudgie Penguins, and he's announcing a little
- 2:06Speaker 1: bit of information here. I think you guys will want
- 2:07Speaker 1: to see. Take a look.
- 2:09Speaker 3: We have Pudgy World, which is our game that we're building,
- 2:12Speaker 3: which I think the set date is like November twenty first, okay,
- 2:14Speaker 3: so you know, giving it some sort of like digital experience.
- 2:17Speaker 3: We have another mobile game coming out that's going to
- 2:19Speaker 3: be like a Stumble guys for Penguins. Yeah, We've been
- 2:22Speaker 3: working on that for quite a while, so I'm pretty
- 2:24Speaker 3: excited about that, right, So, like, let's now go take
- 2:26Speaker 3: some like franchise level swings, Netflix, Hulu, mobile games, happy meals.
- 2:35Speaker 3: We're in you know, castle parks and Chuck e Cheeses
- 2:38Speaker 3: around the country. Are you really Yeah, we're gonna announce
- 2:40Speaker 3: some of that like pretty years soon. But my god, yes, absolutely,
- 2:44Speaker 3: fucking Brital So I hope you're doing. Okay, So in
- 2:45Speaker 3: five ten years, dude, enjoy your fucking victory lap.
- 2:49Speaker 4: But right now here in the trenches, like.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Pudgy Penguin is one of those brands within the industry
- 2:53Speaker 3: that has to win.
- 2:55Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:55Speaker 1: So that was look in that's We've talked about Pudgie
- 2:58Speaker 1: Penguins before Phomenon in the IP space. They've made some
- 3:02Speaker 1: major moves that have really kind of leveraged what's happening
- 3:05Speaker 1: in the NFT world, but also in Web three. Part
- 3:08Speaker 1: of that is in the gaming ecosystem. So I don't
- 3:10Speaker 1: want to bring on the CEO of Mythos and Mythical Games,
- 3:14Speaker 1: John Linden to kind of break it all down.
- 3:16Speaker 2: John, How are you good?
- 3:18Speaker 4: How are you doing? Thanks for having me, Paul.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So let's get into a few things here. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: want to kind of just go in a little bit
- 3:25Speaker 1: around what you guys are doing with Polko Dot. Obviously
- 3:28Speaker 1: we're getting into some of the game development that you
- 3:31Speaker 1: guys are partaking in. What can you give us kind
- 3:33Speaker 1: of a rundown on, first of all, where you are today?
- 3:37Speaker 5: Yeah, so I mean in particularly Pokedylists, and we were
- 3:39Speaker 5: fully migrated over there. You know, this is actually we've
- 3:41Speaker 5: been around for a little while. This is actually our
- 3:43Speaker 5: third chain set of chain tech over the last you know,
- 3:45Speaker 5: five or six years. Yeah, I think you know it's
- 3:48Speaker 5: not really you know, it's it's it's been an evolution,
- 3:50Speaker 5: to be really honest of kind of where we've seen.
- 3:52Speaker 5: We started off on the US, which was kind of
- 3:54Speaker 5: this first you know, kind of proof of state network,
- 3:56Speaker 5: which we thought was the right decision over the proof
- 3:58Speaker 5: of work networks back and you know, four or five
- 4:00Speaker 5: years ago, we didn't kind of moved to a side
- 4:02Speaker 5: chain EVM chain because we were seeing so much growth
- 4:05Speaker 5: we wanted to make sure we could handle it.
- 4:07Speaker 4: You know, we were doing partnerships.
- 4:08Speaker 5: With Appling, Google, and we really had a lot of
- 4:11Speaker 5: concerns around you know, could any of these changes take
- 4:13Speaker 5: on this volume, And we really had to learn kind
- 4:15Speaker 5: of what was working there how to optimize that.
- 4:18Speaker 4: And we have.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Moved recently to the Poco dot ecosystem, so we are
- 4:21Speaker 5: a kind of a substrate chain. We still do have
- 4:23Speaker 5: an Evum address space. We felt that was very important
- 4:25Speaker 5: to kind of keep that Avum address space. But we've
- 4:28Speaker 5: been growing nicely. I think we're still still one of
- 4:30Speaker 5: the top actually the top gaming chain in terms of
- 4:32Speaker 5: sales volume, top gaming chain in terms of number of
- 4:35Speaker 5: active buyers and all that. And we're just kind of
- 4:38Speaker 5: getting started. We have a lot of things coming up.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I was looking at one of the slides that was
- 4:43Speaker 1: presented by the Polka Dot team, and this was in
- 4:45Speaker 1: reference to Polystream and your acquisition of them back in
- 4:48Speaker 1: December of twenty twenty one. First of all, explain what
- 4:52Speaker 1: polystream does and why it's a benefit to what you
- 4:55Speaker 1: guys are trying to do overall.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely, So polyshreams of really interesting set of technologies,
- 5:01Speaker 5: you know. And I think if if you think about
- 5:02Speaker 5: the entertainment industry right now, if you want, you know, movies,
- 5:06Speaker 5: they're on demand, right you can instantly stream a movie.
- 5:08Speaker 4: You want music, it's on demand, you can instantly stream music.
- 5:11Speaker 5: If you want a video game, you've got to download
- 5:13Speaker 5: sixty or seventy gigabytes to your hard drive and hope
- 5:16Speaker 5: you have enough hard drive space, and then every time
- 5:18Speaker 5: you log in there's a two or three gigabyte update.
- 5:20Speaker 5: So the industry will go to cloud gaming. It's just
- 5:24Speaker 5: going to be the kind of the next evolution of games.
- 5:27Speaker 5: The challenge, though, Paul, is it's doable right now, but
- 5:30Speaker 5: it is, and it's just not even close and cost
- 5:32Speaker 5: effective right because with a game, you have to have
- 5:34Speaker 5: a dedicated GPU per player. So if I wanted a
- 5:37Speaker 5: million people in my in my game right now, I'd
- 5:39Speaker 5: have to have a million GPS in the cloud, and
- 5:41Speaker 5: those run two dollars and fifty cents an hour or
- 5:44Speaker 5: something like that, so you be you be out two
- 5:46Speaker 5: of two and a half million dollars an hour with
- 5:48Speaker 5: the current set of technologies on cloud cloud gaming.
- 5:51Speaker 4: So what poly Stream's done is very different.
- 5:53Speaker 5: They basically have instead of pixel streaming, which is what
- 5:55Speaker 5: kind of Nvidia and Xbox and other groups.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Use, they do what they call command streaming.
- 6:00Speaker 5: So they're basically taking the game data that flows through
- 6:03Speaker 5: the like APIs like a directex or whatever, compresses that
- 6:08Speaker 5: down and shoots it to your local GPU on your
- 6:10Speaker 5: mobile phone, your PC map and.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Uses that local GPU.
- 6:14Speaker 5: So what it ends up doing is you end up
- 6:16Speaker 5: getting the ability to stream games and the ability to
- 6:18Speaker 5: have cloud gaming, but without the costs.
- 6:21Speaker 4: You can use commodity.
- 6:22Speaker 5: CPEW hardware, and we've been thinking there's even a path
- 6:24Speaker 5: further to decentralize that, so you end up having this
- 6:27Speaker 5: kind of very decentralized cloud infrastructure that every three D
- 6:31Speaker 5: application can run on.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So okay, so that that kind of changes the the
- 6:36Speaker 1: whole landscape. Really if you look at the opportunity here,
- 6:40Speaker 1: is there anything else that you guys are planned to
- 6:43Speaker 1: do with this technology other than what you're doing right
- 6:45Speaker 1: now with the gaming side.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah, So I think we actually Like I said, we've
- 6:49Speaker 4: come from the game industry.
- 6:50Speaker 5: We have, you know, twenty years of experiencing the game industry,
- 6:52Speaker 5: so we've seen a lot of those trends. And what's
- 6:54Speaker 5: really exciting is, you know, a lot of trends that
- 6:56Speaker 5: come into gaming are permanent. You know, they'll never go back.
- 6:58Speaker 5: And I think we're in the mid the next three
- 7:00Speaker 5: sets of transformations in the gaming industry.
- 7:03Speaker 4: One is economies.
- 7:04Speaker 5: You know, what we're seeing with the mythical marketplace and
- 7:06Speaker 5: the mythos chain and the mid token. It's working and
- 7:08Speaker 5: I'm happy to go through some of that later, but
- 7:10Speaker 5: it is definitely working. It's making a big impact for
- 7:13Speaker 5: players and game developers alike. So that's kind of the
- 7:15Speaker 5: first step is that decentralized economy. We think decentralized social
- 7:19Speaker 5: is going to be really powerful. You know, I think
- 7:21Speaker 5: social and how you interact and how you how you
- 7:23Speaker 5: come up. You know, there's no game company in the
- 7:25Speaker 5: world that no matter how many live events you plan,
- 7:28Speaker 5: the community is going to plant more, right, And I
- 7:30Speaker 5: think there's a way to kind of decentralize that social
- 7:32Speaker 5: social infrastructure so that anybody can start, you know, kind
- 7:35Speaker 5: of building communities and tournaments and all that around games.
- 7:38Speaker 5: And the third area we do think is going to
- 7:39Speaker 5: be the infrastructure the distribution of games. I don't think
- 7:42Speaker 5: I think the app stores will become less important over time.
- 7:45Speaker 5: They're going to be around for a long time, right,
- 7:46Speaker 5: They have a lot of devices. But the idea of
- 7:48Speaker 5: you and I saying, hey, we're chatting in an app
- 7:51Speaker 5: right now, let's immediately jump into that game is super
- 7:54Speaker 5: powerful and it'll change how games are distributed. So that's
- 7:56Speaker 5: kind of the way we view things of the next
- 7:58Speaker 5: three sets of technology is kind of economy, tag, streaming,
- 8:01Speaker 5: tag social tech.
- 8:03Speaker 1: When you look at all, right, so I want to
- 8:04Speaker 1: go to Pudgie Party because obviously this is one of
- 8:06Speaker 1: the games that you guys are so you're obviously launching this.
- 8:10Speaker 1: When you look at what your strategy is with this
- 8:14Speaker 1: and how this may bring in the web two innovators
- 8:18Speaker 1: out there, whether it's the dev houses, a lot of
- 8:20Speaker 1: the game developers as well as some of the distributed
- 8:22Speaker 1: distributors and some of the major players in it, is
- 8:25Speaker 1: this one of the key things that you think will
- 8:27Speaker 1: bridge that gap.
- 8:29Speaker 5: I think the thing I love about Pudge, Pudgy Party
- 8:31Speaker 5: and Pudgie Pinguins in general. One Luca nuts is I
- 8:34Speaker 5: think just a marketing genius. I mean that that guy
- 8:36Speaker 5: has figured it out, he knows how to do it.
- 8:37Speaker 5: He's also one of the biggest hustlers I see in
- 8:40Speaker 5: the space. That guy never stops working. He's amazing, and
- 8:43Speaker 5: that's that's the type of person you want to partner with.
- 8:45Speaker 5: So I love what they've done on the web three side.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I think Pudgie Penguins is already a triple threat. Right,
- 8:50Speaker 5: They're enormous on what they've done on the PfP side, right,
- 8:53Speaker 5: four or five dollars in secondary sales. They've been enormous
- 8:56Speaker 5: on the retail side. I mean, you hear every three
- 8:59Speaker 5: or four months a new major retail partner that are
- 9:01Speaker 5: selling toys, and this toys are really becoming a very
- 9:04Speaker 5: popular mainstream item. And then they've been really really innovative
- 9:07Speaker 5: around the social side, you know, I think I know
- 9:08Speaker 5: if you've heard the Giffy Giffy where you're sending gife
- 9:11Speaker 5: images to each other. They're one of the top brands
- 9:13Speaker 5: in the world. I think they're like thirty five billion impressions.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I think they're doing more than Disney's right now. So
- 9:17Speaker 5: they're already kind of this triple threat and Luga and
- 9:20Speaker 5: team are just remarkable, you know, just remarkable forces I
- 9:23Speaker 5: think in the industry, and we wanted to come in
- 9:25Speaker 5: and say, hey, let's build that next mass market game.
- 9:27Speaker 5: And I think this is a game that is not
- 9:30Speaker 5: it's bringing the Web three ip into this traditional world,
- 9:33Speaker 5: and I think this is a game that could have
- 9:34Speaker 5: fifty to one hundred million players worldwide.
- 9:36Speaker 4: They've done such a.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Great job and we want to basically help them get
- 9:39Speaker 5: that out to the mainstream on what we've already learned
- 9:41Speaker 5: from games like NFL Rivals.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Obviously we're going to see some of the major players
- 9:45Speaker 1: out there. You've got to look at Tim Sweeney and
- 9:48Speaker 1: what's going on with Epic. Why would we not see
- 9:52Speaker 1: tim Sweeney ready to maybe finally come over into this
- 9:56Speaker 1: Web three ecosystem of where game and class especially class
- 10:00Speaker 1: gaming is going to be going in the future.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 10:03Speaker 5: I think I think there's there's a couple of companies
- 10:06Speaker 5: right that they could be doing it. I don't think
- 10:09Speaker 5: they have to do it right now because they have,
- 10:11Speaker 5: you know, you kind of people kind.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Of talk about the closed gardens.
- 10:14Speaker 5: They have one of the biggest gardens in the world, right,
- 10:16Speaker 5: so they don't necessarily need other people in there yet.
- 10:18Speaker 5: I think time's very I mean I've spoken to Teen
- 10:20Speaker 5: several times and Kim their CTO and all that they're
- 10:22Speaker 5: definitely thinking through their version of this.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I think it's a little bit more closed right now.
- 10:27Speaker 5: I think it's it's they want to kind of keep
- 10:29Speaker 5: it within the epic ecosystem, which is their absolutely right
- 10:32Speaker 5: to do that. I think you look at roadblocks kind
- 10:34Speaker 5: of similar things. Right, we've come in a little bit different.
- 10:37Speaker 5: I truly believe it should be open over time, right,
- 10:39Speaker 5: I think if you truly want to have the creator
- 10:41Speaker 5: economy that can become trillions of dollars of revenue.
- 10:46Speaker 4: And goods digital goods traded, which I do think it
- 10:48Speaker 4: can become that.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I think it does have to ultimately be open, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 5: I think you need and we're already starting to see
- 10:52Speaker 5: some brands now. It's really interesting, Paul, is that a
- 10:55Speaker 5: couple of years ago at Blancas, we had a lot
- 10:57Speaker 5: of brands we were working with. They the idea of
- 10:59Speaker 5: pain that in a wallet, like, well, give us a
- 11:02Speaker 5: wallet and you'll have all these transactions just flow through
- 11:04Speaker 5: from a smart contract. There was zero takers, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 5: even a couple of years ago. Now we're starting to
- 11:09Speaker 5: see some of the major brands are like, we want it,
- 11:11Speaker 5: We'll put our wallet in there, we'll start collecting our
- 11:13Speaker 5: commissions and that type of stuff. And I think you're
- 11:16Speaker 5: seeing that side of the business to catch up. And
- 11:18Speaker 5: I think over time you're going to see all of
- 11:20Speaker 5: them want to be able to audit this those selves.
- 11:22Speaker 5: They can see exactly the transactions. All the principles of
- 11:24Speaker 5: Web three become critical. And I'm not you know, I'm
- 11:27Speaker 5: talking more of the big brands right now, but I
- 11:29Speaker 5: think if you're you know, an artist in South Africa,
- 11:31Speaker 5: you're going to want those same principles right, and you're
- 11:33Speaker 5: going to want to know, frankly, that a shareholder base
- 11:36Speaker 5: can't be like, hey, we're changing that commission on you
- 11:39Speaker 5: because we need a slightly higher quarter of this quarter, right,
- 11:41Speaker 5: which is kind of what can happen in Web two.
- 11:43Speaker 5: I'm not saying that it does, but it's in their
- 11:45Speaker 5: power to change it or change the payout rates or
- 11:47Speaker 5: however they want to do it. I think the next
- 11:49Speaker 5: phase of this evolution and content is going to be open,
- 11:52Speaker 5: you know, and that's where we're really focused on.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Well, what's interesting you say that because I was looking
- 11:57Speaker 1: at the game developer site. Epic Games of officially now
- 12:00Speaker 1: cool with using a lot of their past games and
- 12:04Speaker 1: archiving them. So I'm kind of curious if they were
- 12:06Speaker 1: to archive some of these you put these on the blockchain, eventually,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I would think they could possibly go to the blockchain.
- 12:12Speaker 1: There's a possibility of bringing a lot of those old
- 12:14Speaker 1: games into Web three environments, much like what you guys
- 12:18Speaker 1: are doing with mythical games. Do you see that as
- 12:21Speaker 1: maybe a future opportunity down.
- 12:23Speaker 2: The road with some of these older games.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I think definitely, definitely, And I think there's you know,
- 12:27Speaker 5: it's really interesting. You kind of mentioned that the Polystream
- 12:29Speaker 5: Tech we put out a demo out there, and I
- 12:31Speaker 5: think you might have shown a clip of it. We
- 12:32Speaker 5: haven't actually publicly really put it out there outside of
- 12:35Speaker 5: a few talks. But what I wanted to do with
- 12:37Speaker 5: Polystream as an example, right is Okay, everybody talks about
- 12:40Speaker 5: this metaverse concept, right and to me, metaverse could be
- 12:43Speaker 5: red blocks right now.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Like some people's definition.
- 12:45Speaker 5: It could be you know, epic unreal game engine, it
- 12:48Speaker 5: could be all types of things, and for me, it's
- 12:50Speaker 5: three D meets three D and the consumers control it, right,
- 12:53Speaker 5: And so to me, we did a demo with Polystream
- 12:56Speaker 5: that was really fascinating.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Right, there's two major game engines in the.
- 12:58Speaker 5: World, there's Unity and Under and we want to do
- 13:01Speaker 5: a demo saying what if we could actually have you
- 13:04Speaker 5: walk from one game to another game completely seamlessly, and
- 13:08Speaker 5: then ultimately a web three D becomes your identity right
- 13:11Speaker 5: as I move from one experience to another experience across
- 13:13Speaker 5: different game engines.
- 13:15Speaker 4: That's the connective tissue that.
- 13:16Speaker 5: You own, right, And I think that was a powerful
- 13:19Speaker 5: demo to where literally we have a demo of our game, Blancos.
- 13:21Speaker 5: It's immunity. Inside of Blancos. There's there's a kind of
- 13:24Speaker 5: a porl that opens doctor Stream style and you can
- 13:27Speaker 5: literally walk into the other game without ever leaving the
- 13:30Speaker 5: game client.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I didn't have anything downloaded, and I can walk from
- 13:32Speaker 4: one world to another.
- 13:33Speaker 5: So that's kind of our view is that ultimately the
- 13:36Speaker 5: connective tissue for us is that Web three credentials, right,
- 13:40Speaker 5: it's having your key there. I think for companies like
- 13:44Speaker 5: Epic and Roadblocks, they just have a little bit different
- 13:45Speaker 5: perspective of it right now, Right for Epic, it's more
- 13:48Speaker 5: the unreal engine is the key. It's the key connector roblocks,
- 13:51Speaker 5: it's your account and your your avatars. That's the key.
- 13:54Speaker 5: So I think everybody has a little different opinion. Our
- 13:56Speaker 5: opinion is it should be open and should it shouldn't
- 13:58Speaker 5: be limited to any element platform, any wallet. Eventually, you know,
- 14:02Speaker 5: it's really becomes a way for users to control that,
- 14:05Speaker 5: and that's kind of the direction we're hoping to take
- 14:06Speaker 5: poly streaming.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, in the clip we showed of Luca, he you know,
- 14:10Speaker 1: he mentioned the idea of distribution coming through the majors.
- 14:13Speaker 2: He mentioned Netflix.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Obviously, you guys' experience with Amazon, especially with Blancos, what
- 14:20Speaker 1: about future projects with someone like an Amazon, especially now
- 14:24Speaker 1: that they were doing a lot more cloud gaming, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: this seems to be a natural evolution of where some
- 14:29Speaker 1: of the projects that you're working on could go.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely, And we've we've had a lot of you know,
- 14:33Speaker 5: there's there's a lot of a lot of Amazon to
- 14:35Speaker 5: do with, right there's a lot of different phases of Amazon.
- 14:37Speaker 5: You know, we were one of the first ones to
- 14:39Speaker 5: integrate with Twitch. They allowed us to do kind of
- 14:40Speaker 5: an NFT drop in with Twitch with Blancos back in
- 14:43Speaker 5: the day, so we had a big integration with them.
- 14:45Speaker 5: We've had integrations with Amazon Prime Gaming. We've traditionally stayed
- 14:48Speaker 5: on their gaming side. I think Amazon's still trying to
- 14:50Speaker 5: figure out the exact strategy of how they want to
- 14:52Speaker 5: attack gaming, which is great, but you know, we're we're
- 14:56Speaker 5: We're always open ideas there. I think Amazon's always going
- 14:58Speaker 5: to be a powerhouse and always going to be somebody
- 15:00Speaker 5: want to pay attention to for entertainment.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Talk to me about where NFL Rivals is right now.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Obviously very well accepted. This is one of the I
- 15:08Speaker 1: think the winners of what you guys have been able
- 15:10Speaker 1: to do and probably has put you on the map. Here,
- 15:13Speaker 1: give me a breakdown of what you see happening, especially
- 15:16Speaker 1: around sports entertainment.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so Rivals has been an amazing, amazing franchise for us.
- 15:22Speaker 5: It will be a franchise. I'll leave I'll leave you
- 15:24Speaker 5: out a little information there, so we're talking to you
- 15:27Speaker 5: right now. But what's really really fascinating about NFL was
- 15:31Speaker 5: really a couple of things. A'll just throws some data
- 15:32Speaker 5: at to which was the most impressive is last year,
- 15:35Speaker 5: our first year we launched Rivals, we ended up getting
- 15:38Speaker 5: close to five five million players in the game. So
- 15:40Speaker 5: to put that in perspective, Madden is kind of the incumbent.
- 15:43Speaker 5: They've been around for what I think thirty six thirty
- 15:45Speaker 5: seven years now, in a long time, and they're sitting
- 15:48Speaker 5: about on the mobile side, at least, they're sitting about
- 15:50Speaker 5: twenty five million players a year, and we've come in at,
- 15:52Speaker 5: you know, five to six million already in fourteen months,
- 15:55Speaker 5: so we've taken a little over twenty percent, are grown
- 15:57Speaker 5: about twenty percent of their market share, which is great
- 15:59Speaker 5: and overlap so but we've been able to get there
- 16:02Speaker 5: within twelve to fourteen months, so that's really exciting the
- 16:05Speaker 5: other part that's been really exciting too is we did
- 16:07Speaker 5: bring a new game in the genre with the NFL
- 16:10Speaker 5: that does have a Web three component, right, And what's
- 16:13Speaker 5: awesome about that is, you know, users will come up
- 16:16Speaker 5: with their own ratings, right and right now we're sitting
- 16:17Speaker 5: at about a four point eight star in the app
- 16:19Speaker 5: Store and they're sitting at a four point seven, And
- 16:21Speaker 5: really what that means besides the fact that level, we're
- 16:24Speaker 5: the tenth of.
- 16:24Speaker 4: A point ahead of them.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Besides that that what it really means tho as users
- 16:27Speaker 5: are accepting the ideas of Web three.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:29Speaker 5: This is hundreds of thousands of reviews by consumers and
- 16:32Speaker 5: we're rated higher than the incumbent, right, So basically means
- 16:36Speaker 5: if you do it right and you integrate it with
- 16:38Speaker 5: value consumers, we'll definitely get behind it, which is exciting
- 16:41Speaker 5: the other person. This is really fascinating is last year,
- 16:43Speaker 5: in our first year, about twenty percent of our revenue
- 16:46Speaker 5: came from the Web three trading side right where people
- 16:48Speaker 5: are trading items with each other, and about eighty percent
- 16:50Speaker 5: came from the traditional.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Apple Google in app purchases.
- 16:54Speaker 5: This year is a little bit different, right, It's now
- 16:55Speaker 5: almost seventy percent is coming from Web three from the
- 16:58Speaker 5: same user base, and twenty or thirty percents coming from
- 17:01Speaker 5: Web two.
- 17:02Speaker 4: So why is that? Right?
- 17:04Speaker 5: And I think this is the key innovation that NFL's
- 17:06Speaker 5: allowed us to do. And we'll be bringing this to
- 17:08Speaker 5: pudget Party and a new sports title and a bunch
- 17:10Speaker 5: of things we're bringing out in the future. Here it's
- 17:13Speaker 5: really a concept called quick trade. So quick trade for us,
- 17:15Speaker 5: if you look at every game over the last twenty years,
- 17:18Speaker 5: if you look at the peer to peer trading, right,
- 17:20Speaker 5: there's always two windows, right.
- 17:21Speaker 4: One is this is what I want and this is
- 17:24Speaker 4: what I'll give you.
- 17:25Speaker 5: It's not bids an ask and floor prices and collection
- 17:28Speaker 5: values and what's the token trading at right now, it's
- 17:31Speaker 5: this is what I want and this.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Is what I'll give you.
- 17:33Speaker 5: So what we've been able to do with that we
- 17:35Speaker 5: introduced a patented tech we call quick trades. So in
- 17:38Speaker 5: our game NFL, if I wanted Patrick Mahomes or I
- 17:41Speaker 5: wanted Travis Kelcey, he's not for sale right now. The
- 17:43Speaker 5: only way I can get him is from somebody else.
- 17:45Speaker 5: And some of those do get up there. We're not
- 17:47Speaker 5: selling fifty thousand dollars digital items. Generally, we're selling you know,
- 17:51Speaker 5: twenty thirty on average. Maybe I get up to the
- 17:53Speaker 5: few hundreds, so i'll take the more extremely like a
- 17:55Speaker 5: Patrick Mahomes might be five hundred dollars. Well, there's most
- 17:58Speaker 5: gamers will not put five hundred dollars on their credit
- 18:00Speaker 5: card or crypto they just they're not financial traders, they're
- 18:03Speaker 5: not crypto traders. And it's hard for somebody to put
- 18:07Speaker 5: five hundred bucks on a credit card for a digital abum.
- 18:09Speaker 5: So we added a concept to mimic how gamers trade,
- 18:12Speaker 5: called quick trades, to where now I can say I'm
- 18:14Speaker 5: gonna put Patrick Mahomes, he's five hundred dollars, and then
- 18:17Speaker 5: the other side of the screen shows up of all
- 18:19Speaker 5: the digital assets I do own, and I can start
- 18:21Speaker 5: checking them off. So I always seem to offend somebody
- 18:23Speaker 5: with this, but I'll say I'm gonna pick some of
- 18:24Speaker 5: the Green Bay Packers. I don't want the packers anymore.
- 18:26Speaker 5: I picked five Green Bay Packers saying hey, I'm ready
- 18:28Speaker 5: to get rid of these. And what our tech does
- 18:31Speaker 5: is it basically prices them in real time, so it's
- 18:34Speaker 5: getting active bids from the marketplace and it's priced them
- 18:36Speaker 5: in real time. So if I say, cool, five hundred
- 18:40Speaker 5: dollars on this side, I can hit trade. I as
- 18:42Speaker 5: a player now have received Patrick Mahomes and I got
- 18:45Speaker 5: rid of my five Green Bay Packers. No money exchanged hands, right,
- 18:50Speaker 5: But what we actually did behind the scenes is we
- 18:51Speaker 5: pulled all the cohorts together into one Atomic Web three transaction.
- 18:55Speaker 5: So we real time bought from the homes from one seller,
- 18:58Speaker 5: and we real time sold those five.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Green Bade Packers to five different buyers. That part has
- 19:02Speaker 4: been revolutionary.
- 19:03Speaker 5: We've seen massive growth because now we're we're transacting the
- 19:07Speaker 5: way gamers transacting games and adding that web free component
- 19:12Speaker 5: to bring value to the player, the game developer, everybody involved.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that kind of strategy.
- 19:20Speaker 1: You look at just the amount of in game assets
- 19:22Speaker 1: that are going to be generated, that's a great ability
- 19:25Speaker 1: to be able to kind of manipulate the marketplace, so
- 19:27Speaker 1: to speak, for you know, high level assets like call
- 19:30Speaker 1: what you're talking about and explaining there wow, so that
- 19:33Speaker 1: and that's available right now the NFL.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Okay, so we kind of put a routed out of
- 19:38Speaker 5: kind of January February, right before the playoffs, and the
- 19:41Speaker 5: reason again, it just took us a while to kind
- 19:43Speaker 5: of get get it out there. But now that it's
- 19:44Speaker 5: out there in season two, it's it's a big percentage
- 19:46Speaker 5: of revenue growing.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Interesting, Okay, I was looking over on your your site
- 19:50Speaker 1: on one of the posts that you guys had put up,
- 19:52Speaker 1: and there was a statement in here that I thought
- 19:54Speaker 1: was interesting. Let me kind of zoom up on this
- 19:56Speaker 1: for our viewers. Most players use Fiat currency purchase digital
- 20:00Speaker 1: asset secondary market by behind the scenes.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Uh, this is done.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Through a licensed third party entity. I want to find
- 20:06Speaker 1: out what that is, and that fiat is exchange for
- 20:09Speaker 1: native myth. So explain that sentence right there, because this
- 20:14Speaker 1: is a very intriguing idea.
- 20:17Speaker 4: So this has allowed us to work with the Apples
- 20:20Speaker 4: and Googles.
- 20:21Speaker 5: You know, I think we're the only approved secondary market
- 20:23Speaker 5: solution in games by Apple and Google. So most people
- 20:27Speaker 5: have to do the secondary outside of the game. We
- 20:28Speaker 5: can actually do it directly in the game itself. So
- 20:31Speaker 5: how do we do that? Right, Well, we're not letting
- 20:33Speaker 5: you buy the crypto and things like that right in
- 20:35Speaker 5: the game directly, right, there's all types of rules and
- 20:37Speaker 5: regulations around how do you kind of exchange exchange any
- 20:41Speaker 5: type of value. So what we've basically done is we've
- 20:43Speaker 5: we've taken a virtual currency in the game. So so
- 20:47Speaker 5: if you buy an item, it's the same items available
- 20:49Speaker 5: from NFL. You can buy them a web or buy
- 20:52Speaker 5: through buy through a marketplace, you can buy them in
- 20:54Speaker 5: the game, but it's through a virtual currency. And so
- 20:55Speaker 5: what we do is we actually you buy that virtual
- 20:57Speaker 5: currency through the game itself.
- 20:59Speaker 4: It sits in an.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Out home and then basically in real time, as I'm
- 21:03Speaker 5: going to use that currency. It gets converted through a
- 21:06Speaker 5: license partner that has all the regular all the licenses,
- 21:08Speaker 5: all the MTLs, all the Ebank licenses, all that. They
- 21:11Speaker 5: actually take the money, convert it into the currency, and
- 21:14Speaker 5: then the smart contract takes it and interacts with it.
- 21:17Speaker 4: So kind of a.
- 21:19Speaker 5: Just in time exchange when it needs to be online chain,
- 21:23Speaker 5: it'll do that work for you. And we've done that
- 21:25Speaker 5: and it's allowed us to kind of work very heavily
- 21:26Speaker 5: with Apple and Google and again it's it's a very
- 21:29Speaker 5: seamless process for consumers. They can just come in and transact.
- 21:32Speaker 1: You know, man, you guys are into a lot of
- 21:36Speaker 1: things right now. I mean you've got a lot a
- 21:38Speaker 1: lot going under the hood too. I want to jump
- 21:40Speaker 1: over to this one. This is Nitro Nation. This is
- 21:43Speaker 1: just showing some of the potential here of where we
- 21:46Speaker 1: see the racing ecosystem. You look at, you know, projects
- 21:50Speaker 1: like rev many of those. What about potential collaborations with
- 21:54Speaker 1: some of those kinds of projects that are out there
- 21:56Speaker 1: right now doing very well.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:58Speaker 5: So so Nitro Nation is the first game that's built
- 22:00Speaker 5: on the mythical platform. So the games you talked about
- 22:02Speaker 5: kind of Blancos and even Pudging Party and NFL. We're
- 22:06Speaker 5: involved in the development as well, and we call that
- 22:07Speaker 5: Mythical Studios. Mythical Platform is basically the same business model
- 22:12Speaker 5: used by the third parties and Nitro Nation is the
- 22:14Speaker 5: first title that went on on the Mythical platform, so
- 22:16Speaker 5: they're still using the Mythos chain. It uses the myth
- 22:19Speaker 5: of token, the mid token. It used the Mythical marketplace, but.
- 22:22Speaker 4: We didn't make this game.
- 22:23Speaker 5: What I love about seem Games the game is getting
- 22:25Speaker 5: ready to kind of really take off. It's still in
- 22:27Speaker 5: soft launch right now. The game is going to go big,
- 22:30Speaker 5: basically in Q one, and it's a beautiful game. Seem
- 22:33Speaker 5: Games is that they're experts in card games. Their last
- 22:35Speaker 5: game and also called Nitronation. It was called Nitronation Dragon Drift.
- 22:39Speaker 5: That game had about eighty million plus players in it.
- 22:42Speaker 5: So we're excited that we have very reputable, strong game
- 22:46Speaker 5: developers now that are building and bringing their games into
- 22:49Speaker 5: this ecosystem. So it's a great game. I think we've
- 22:51Speaker 5: also helped them a little bit on the publishing side.
- 22:53Speaker 5: We're helping them get through some of this because it's
- 22:55Speaker 5: still fairly new on the web. Three but yeah, I
- 22:57Speaker 5: think they already already have about I want to say,
- 22:59Speaker 5: it's well over one hundred cars licensed for that game.
- 23:02Speaker 5: And you can also see there's a lot of creativity.
- 23:04Speaker 5: You can mix and matches well and customize your cars
- 23:07Speaker 5: to your heart content. And I think that lends itself
- 23:10Speaker 5: very well to the concepts of Web three and digital
- 23:12Speaker 5: identity and all those principles.
- 23:14Speaker 4: It works great.
- 23:15Speaker 5: And that's one thing I'd love to kind of say
- 23:17Speaker 5: real quick, if it's okay. Is that so many people
- 23:20Speaker 5: I think in Web three to always talk about games
- 23:24Speaker 5: and Web three is all about profit, it's all about
- 23:26Speaker 5: buying and selling and players making money and all that.
- 23:29Speaker 4: I don't think that's really the case.
- 23:30Speaker 5: I think if you think about the last ten or
- 23:32Speaker 5: fifteen years of games, it's about identity, right, think about roadblocks,
- 23:36Speaker 5: Even about Call of Duty, a game I used to
- 23:38Speaker 5: be involved with and worked on, is it's peacocking, right
- 23:43Speaker 5: if you want to have the coolest stuff because it's
- 23:44Speaker 5: part of your identity. And we're seeing that same thing
- 23:46Speaker 5: in Web three. The difference is is in an open
- 23:49Speaker 5: ecosystem like that, the community is valuing it for you, right.
- 23:53Speaker 5: So we've seen all the kind of Magian. If I
- 23:55Speaker 5: got a Travis Kelsey card that I earned in the game,
- 23:58Speaker 5: that's sellable, I see everyone'll say it's going for one
- 24:01Speaker 5: thousand dollars. The community is valuing that, the open ecosystems
- 24:04Speaker 5: valuing that. And it's not that you see everybody rush
- 24:06Speaker 5: off and try and sell it for a thousand dollars.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 24:10Speaker 5: We see a lot of people that are like, oh,
- 24:11Speaker 5: my collection value just went by thousand dollars, right. So
- 24:13Speaker 5: it becomes kind of this extended value of your digital identity,
- 24:17Speaker 5: and I think that's where it gets becomes very powerful
- 24:19Speaker 5: and things like racing and all of these very social games.
- 24:23Speaker 4: It's going to be a big driver of like this
- 24:25Speaker 4: is valuable to me.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I'm looking of this is just a call of duty,
- 24:28Speaker 1: integrating a little bit of some of the scenarios that
- 24:33Speaker 1: you're talking about, which is could be we could see
- 24:34Speaker 1: tokens and all sorts of things going in on that
- 24:37Speaker 1: I want to I want to talk a little bit
- 24:39Speaker 1: about because I think you know the fact that you've
- 24:42Speaker 1: got a platform here, are you seeing a lot more
- 24:44Speaker 1: developers starting.
- 24:45Speaker 2: To come on. I was looking on your website. I
- 24:47Speaker 2: think it was let's go over to that section right here.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so there's Ubisoft, there was a game developers, Marble X,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know, et cetera. What about the potential of expanding
- 24:58Speaker 1: upon this. Are there more partners lined up? What's going
- 25:01Speaker 1: on there.
- 25:01Speaker 5: That's one of the most exciting things I've seen over
- 25:03Speaker 5: the last twelve months is that, you know, I think
- 25:06Speaker 5: for some game developers that are like you know, they're
- 25:09Speaker 5: slow to move and because games are really really tough
- 25:11Speaker 5: to make. Games are very hard to make, they're harder
- 25:14Speaker 5: to ship, and they're even harder to keep out and
- 25:16Speaker 5: keep them profitable. Right, So there's not a lot of
- 25:18Speaker 5: ideas that usually hit a new game. It's kind of
- 25:20Speaker 5: like you hear this all the time right now it's Fortnite,
- 25:22Speaker 5: Like we're building a Fortnite meets this right, or we're
- 25:25Speaker 5: being a Soul's like game that does this right. There's
- 25:27Speaker 5: a reason for that because it's it's a slow innovation path.
- 25:31Speaker 5: But what we have seen is now we're seeing games
- 25:32Speaker 5: like NFL Rivals that are seeing sixty five percent more
- 25:35Speaker 5: revenue from Web three. That's waking people up super fast.
- 25:39Speaker 5: And I think what we're seeing now is I think
- 25:40Speaker 5: we're seeing the big game developers now are starting to
- 25:43Speaker 5: be like, huh, this is real. This isn't a gimmick.
- 25:46Speaker 5: This actually can have real effects, and consumers are actually
- 25:49Speaker 5: accepting it, right. And I think, as I mentioned before
- 25:51Speaker 5: that that rating in the app Store, I think that's
- 25:53Speaker 5: one of the most important things for game developers is
- 25:55Speaker 5: they don't want to put out a game and they
- 25:57Speaker 5: get one one star because it looks like some you know,
- 26:00Speaker 5: a weird scam, right, But we're seeing it now, hundreds
- 26:03Speaker 5: of thousands of reviews, millions of players, significant increases in revenue.
- 26:07Speaker 4: We're now starting to see the real game developers get
- 26:09Speaker 4: behind this way. Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I think, well, this is a huge breakthrough.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I think this is an opportunity that we are going
- 26:14Speaker 1: to see a lot more major game dev starting to
- 26:17Speaker 1: come into this place. And you know, we've already seen
- 26:19Speaker 1: some you know, big wins over on even if you
- 26:21Speaker 1: look at the Avalanche ecosystem, with what they've done with
- 26:23Speaker 1: Off the Grid.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I mean, there's a lot happening right now. Do you
- 26:27Speaker 2: think this is the cycle right now? John?
- 26:29Speaker 1: I mean, as far as people really exploring the Web
- 26:33Speaker 1: three foundation.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 26:36Speaker 5: I think, you know, it depends on the cycle you're
- 26:38Speaker 5: talking about, Right, the token cycle seems to go with
- 26:40Speaker 5: whatever the token cycle goes with, right, it seems to
- 26:42Speaker 5: be very heavy, still focused on things like mean coins
- 26:44Speaker 5: and all like that. We're using the slogan fundamentals matter, right,
- 26:48Speaker 5: And I really do believe fundamentals matter.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:51Speaker 5: We've been saying to kind of follow the player's fundamentals matter,
- 26:54Speaker 5: and I think that's important for this next cycle, right
- 26:57Speaker 5: where where there's real consumers driving value, there's real consumers
- 27:01Speaker 5: that are buying a token behind the scenes for regardless
- 27:03Speaker 5: of the price, because they just want to buy, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 5: a football player or a pudge of penguin or whatever. Right,
- 27:09Speaker 5: when you can get those consumers into the millions or
- 27:11Speaker 5: tens of millions or eventually hundreds of millions that are
- 27:13Speaker 5: participating in those economies, fundamentals.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Matter, right, And I think for sure fundamentals in a
- 27:19Speaker 4: major way.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Speaking of fundamentals, obviously, when you guys leaped over onto
- 27:24Speaker 1: Polka Dot, and I think the opportunity here is pretty
- 27:26Speaker 1: big when you look at the scalability of what this
- 27:30Speaker 1: chain offers, the potential for roadmap, what does that look
- 27:34Speaker 1: like for you guys? Now? Has it opened up an
- 27:36Speaker 1: opportunity map for you guys that maybe didn't exist before.
- 27:40Speaker 1: What are some of the key things that you feel
- 27:42Speaker 1: is going to kind of come from this?
- 27:44Speaker 4: Yeah, we got in this question a lot.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I actually, like I said it, from from a technology perspective,
- 27:49Speaker 5: I think Polka Dot's the best best game in town,
- 27:51Speaker 5: you know, I think I think from an actual innovation
- 27:53Speaker 5: at what they're doing, I think it's the best game
- 27:54Speaker 5: in town. And and I think, you know, they have
- 27:57Speaker 5: some challenges too that they're not a heavily marketed chain.
- 28:00Speaker 5: You know, they're not kind of throwing out crazy amounts
- 28:03Speaker 5: of money to two different people to see what happens.
- 28:05Speaker 5: They're they're being very smart and they have a very
- 28:07Speaker 5: large treasury, but they're being very calculated on how they
- 28:10Speaker 5: do it. I think that's the right way to go personally.
- 28:13Speaker 5: But from a type of perspective, I think not only
- 28:14Speaker 5: are they there now, but I think Gavin is already
- 28:18Speaker 5: kind of way ahead at Whereaby's going next. Right, And
- 28:20Speaker 5: I think you'll see a lot there's a lot of
- 28:22Speaker 5: people kind of copying the concepts of what they start with.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Para chains, right, the whole super chain, super Nuts.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Pokaon kind of did it first, right, Pocodon and Cosmos
- 28:29Speaker 5: were probably the original two, so they're while they're kind
- 28:32Speaker 5: of catching out, I think Pogada's and moving on to
- 28:33Speaker 5: the next generation this whole concept of JAM, and that
- 28:36Speaker 5: really because as I mentioned before, remember, if you start
- 28:38Speaker 5: thinking about not just defying gaming, you start thinking about
- 28:41Speaker 5: decentralized social and decentralized compute power and decentralized in cloud serving.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Where Gavin's taking JAM is really.
- 28:50Speaker 5: It's a supercomputer, right, It's a decentralized AWS honestly, more
- 28:54Speaker 5: so than just a decentralized DeFi chain, and I believe
- 28:57Speaker 5: very much in my vision, and that's really one of
- 28:59Speaker 5: the reasons we chose rights. We don't view this as
- 29:01Speaker 5: just marketplace transactions for gaming. We view it as all
- 29:04Speaker 5: of these systems coming together and letting the player have
- 29:07Speaker 5: the keys of the kingdom, right.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Right, Well, that's a huge evolution.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I think that a lot of people are starting to
- 29:14Speaker 1: finally get their heads around, you know, not only in
- 29:16Speaker 1: the business side, you know, of productivity, but obviously gaming
- 29:20Speaker 1: is a big part of this, but there'll be other
- 29:22Speaker 1: you know, categories in markets out there around business that
- 29:25Speaker 1: understand what decentralized cloud computer are going to look like,
- 29:28Speaker 1: especially as we see Web three kind of make its
- 29:32Speaker 1: mark on this point for sure. Last topic to you,
- 29:35Speaker 1: when is the next air drop? So we had we
- 29:39Speaker 1: were looking at Mythical Force. You guys had a lot
- 29:41Speaker 1: of air drop, so next lot.
- 29:45Speaker 5: These are those things that it's it's always a little
- 29:48Speaker 5: uncomfortable for us because we hadn't seen this in Web
- 29:49Speaker 5: two before, and I hadn't seen this kind of We
- 29:51Speaker 5: realy did one.
- 29:53Speaker 4: It worked well.
- 29:53Speaker 5: I think we had at a lot of great stuff
- 29:55Speaker 5: happening there. I think the next one is going to
- 29:56Speaker 5: be more focused on games. You know, we definitely want
- 29:58Speaker 5: to do enough on you know, people actually interacting with it.
- 30:01Speaker 5: I think I think all of these projects you end
- 30:03Speaker 5: up seeing this crazy concept of farming and people trying
- 30:06Speaker 5: to scam the system a little bit. So we definitely
- 30:09Speaker 5: got a handful of people trying to manipulate the system
- 30:11Speaker 5: and we learned a lot from that. But the next
- 30:12Speaker 5: one will be very much focus on games. We have
- 30:14Speaker 5: so many great games coming, We have so many game
- 30:16Speaker 5: developers that are now starting to build on myth And
- 30:18Speaker 5: what I love about it is it always coming through
- 30:21Speaker 5: the Mythos chain. It's all using the myth token.
- 30:23Speaker 4: So Pudgy and a new.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Sports game we're going to be announcing soon, and NFL
- 30:27Speaker 5: and Blancos they all use the same tech behind the scenes.
- 30:30Speaker 5: And not only just us, there's thirty two other companies
- 30:33Speaker 5: that have joined Mythos already in various stages. Right, So,
- 30:37Speaker 5: you know, I'm not a big fan of kind of
- 30:38Speaker 5: single game tokens. I don't think they have staying power
- 30:40Speaker 5: if you're just one token. I believe very heavily in
- 30:43Speaker 5: ecosystem tokens, and that's kind of what we're trying to
- 30:45Speaker 5: do with Mythos chain and the myth token is really
- 30:48Speaker 5: having this concept that everybody can play together and everybody
- 30:50Speaker 5: can define where we go as a group, whether it's
- 30:53Speaker 5: social gaming, game economies or eventually cloud gaming ecosystems.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Kathy Wood has to be excited about that. That's
- 31:00Speaker 1: a lot on the table in terms of potential growth here.
- 31:04Speaker 5: So the biggest part we love Kathy and and you know, honestly,
- 31:09Speaker 5: I think she sees it. I think that's what I
- 31:10Speaker 5: love about her is she sees the future. She sees
- 31:13Speaker 5: how this can play together. Now, you know, we're being
- 31:15Speaker 5: very cautious and we're doing step at a time, we're
- 31:17Speaker 5: not launching it all at once, but that's definitely the vision.
- 31:19Speaker 5: And I think what you'll see is you'll see these
- 31:21Speaker 5: three kind of trifectas of technology start piecing together. And
- 31:25Speaker 5: I think what will happen is when that last piece
- 31:27Speaker 5: kind of clicks in, everybody's going to.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Be like, oh my god, that's crazy, you know.
- 31:31Speaker 5: And we're kind of bringing that industry experience and working
- 31:34Speaker 5: on how do we do it next best?
- 31:36Speaker 1: So what is your thoughts on how that might cycle
- 31:39Speaker 1: through in terms of some of the big investors that
- 31:41Speaker 1: could be coming into this next phase.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's I think it is fascinating. I
- 31:46Speaker 5: think I think this is also where, you know, there's
- 31:48Speaker 5: been some projects. One of my good friends is with
- 31:50Speaker 5: the Ocean Protocol and they have this kind of new
- 31:51Speaker 5: fetch token, that super token across AI.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I think that's really innovative.
- 31:55Speaker 5: There's some interesting concepts there, like how do you create
- 31:57Speaker 5: supertokens or have networks.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Again, we're kind of doing that.
- 32:00Speaker 5: With the mid token now, and we're kind of slow
- 32:02Speaker 5: and steady, right It's where we're proving it out. We're
- 32:04Speaker 5: proving it out with real fundamentals, and I think that's key.
- 32:07Speaker 5: You know, we just have a new Dow governance proposal
- 32:10Speaker 5: that now has a deflationary supply, right, so we're collecting
- 32:13Speaker 5: gas fees. We now have enough players in the millions
- 32:15Speaker 5: of players to really make macro decisions in terms of
- 32:18Speaker 5: what's the right gas fees for this right, what's the
- 32:20Speaker 5: right things that aren't going to bankrupt the chain, bankrupt
- 32:23Speaker 5: the developer, bankrupt the consumer.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Right. I mean it's really now we want to make
- 32:27Speaker 4: sure it's a balanced ecosystem. And I think we have that.
- 32:29Speaker 4: So we just announced, you know, we're seven x that's
- 32:31Speaker 4: the gas.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Fee because we you know, it's we got it too low, right,
- 32:35Speaker 5: So and then now we're going to be parting those
- 32:37Speaker 5: gas fees, right. So as we do things like that
- 32:39Speaker 5: and we change those tokenomics, you're going to see a
- 32:41Speaker 5: very advantageous I think we're going to have the first
- 32:44Speaker 5: deflationary game economy with the mid token and the myth
- 32:47Speaker 5: ecosystem that big investors can get behind, you know, they
- 32:50Speaker 5: can stay behind it, right and have it so it's
- 32:53Speaker 5: actually sustainable, right. And I think as we do that, Paul,
- 32:57Speaker 5: you're going to see all types of new investors jump
- 32:59Speaker 5: in because now was not just an asset class, but
- 33:01Speaker 5: they can really see the future and see what the
- 33:03Speaker 5: true value of that is. As we're bringing on hundreds
- 33:06Speaker 5: of lands consumers into the ecosystem.
- 33:08Speaker 1: That should do Yeah, that'll definitely no pun intend and
- 33:11Speaker 1: change the game for sure. I think we're in a
- 33:14Speaker 1: in a one of those cycles where just the innovation
- 33:16Speaker 1: is finally becoming a point where not only investors but players, economies,
- 33:21Speaker 1: brands are starting to realize, yeah, this is going to work.
- 33:24Speaker 1: So hey, John Linden, it's great having you on this
- 33:27Speaker 1: on the show. Thanks so much for stopping in today.
