- 0:05In my youth lost in uncertainty, I made the decision to enlist in the
- 0:09army. At that time I felt disoriented without a clear course in life and
- 0:15my father' s suggestion to join the military ranks emerged as an opportunity to
- 0:20explore something new. Even if the military world wasn' t exactly what I
- 0:26was looking for. The truth is that getting a position in the army in
- 0:29those days didn' t turn out to be as complicated as it could be
- 0:34today. The circumstances were different and my lack of direction in life found temporary
- 0:39refuge in the military structure. I soon discovered that I was skilled at following
- 0:45orders and obeying a hierarchy. The corruption that sometimes leaked into the military ranks
- 0:49did not worry me too much. I always maintained the mindset that, as
- 0:54long as it didn' t directly affect those I cared about, others could
- 1:00do what they wanted. Over the years, I not only adapted well to
- 1:03the military environment, but rose from rank to become a platoon leader. My
- 1:08family was always proud of my achievements, although personally I never thought I was
- 1:15doing anything really meaningful and military life had its challenges, and one of the
- 1:21hardest lessons I learned was that sometimes the jobs we performed were dangerous, even
- 1:26in times of apparent peace. Mexico, as many can confirm, has not
- 1:33had a war in a long time, at least not with another country and
- 1:38as many of us know, Our missions often led us to confront organized crime
- 1:42and drug trafficking. My duty at some point included missions to search for and
- 1:48destroy crops of certain illegal herbs. It was in one of these operations that
- 1:53I lived the most terrifying experience of my entire life, a situation that still
- 1:59torments me in the nights and that, by superior orders, I am forbidden
- 2:02to speak in detail. Out of respect for the people involved, I will
- 2:07omit certain details and change names and places. On that occasion, in particular,
- 2:13we received a report suggesting the existence of an enormous amount of illicit substances
- 2:17in the middle of the dense jungle. Everything seemed to indicate that it would
- 2:23be a routine job easy to get in and out, but reality hit us
- 2:27head- on. As we approached, we began to hear a burst of
- 2:31fire tearing the tranquility of the jungle. We soon realized that several men were
- 2:37guarding the place and were willing to defend it with all their might. That
- 2:42' s why the situation became chaotic. Although being in the middle of a
- 2:46shooting in the jungle could be classified as a traumatic experience. For me,
- 2:52the most shocking thing about that occasion was not the confrontation itself of all the
- 2:57men I was leading at that time. Only five of us including myself had
- 3:04managed to get out of there by pure miracle. But even after escaping that
- 3:07danger, we realized something that overshadowed the imminent threat of those armed men.
- 3:14We had strayed too far from the road and were now completely lost. In
- 3:19the middle of the jungle' s thickness. We tried not to panic,
- 3:23because our military training had focused on maintaining calm and cold head in high-
- 3:28risk situations like that. In addition, we had solid survival training, which
- 3:35meant that we had the skills to keep us safe until we could find a
- 3:42way out. We checked our backpacks and equipment, evaluating every resource we had
- 3:47at our disposal. It was crucial to find a refuge that would not only
- 3:53hide us from those men, but also protect us from the natural dangers of
- 3:58the jungle. We were all aware that there were large predators in that jungle
- 4:02who would not hesitate for a second to defend their territory from strangers. The
- 4:08first night was surprisingly quiet. We found a suitable shelter and, despite guarding
- 4:14shifts throughout the night, we did not find any dangerous animals, let alone
- 4:18any of those people. We began to think that perhaps those people had already
- 4:27taken us for dead, which was a less worry the next morning. As
- 4:31we woke up, we all set out to draw a small map that would
- 4:36guide us back to civilization. Far from the relentless jungle that threatened to trap
- 4:43us indefinitely after a modest breakfast to regain strength, we restarted our walk.
- 4:49Nobody knew about our disappearance. Therefore, no one was looking for us and
- 4:55it would take a day or two for them to notice. The supplies were
- 4:58scarce. No original mission did not foresee a prolonged stay in the jungle and
- 5:02the idea of saving us on our own sounded ever better. The strategy was
- 5:10clear, finding the river and following the stream to return to civilization. Aware
- 5:15of the need to act quickly, we went back into the thick green mantle,
- 5:20although no one openly expressed it. Despair leaked at every step. The
- 5:28uncertainty of finding the river and freeing us from this oppressive environment weighed on each
- 5:33of us. After about forty minutes without success and the possibility of not finding
- 5:39the river to lose us irremediably in the vastness of the jungle became more palpable
- 5:45with each step. The fear of never seeing our families again gripped our minds
- 5:48and at that time the jungle seemed to close upon us. Getting rid of
- 5:58any thought of hope, we decided to keep moving forward, confident that at
- 6:04some point we would find the desired river that would lead us back home.
- 6:09Fatigue and hunger were beginning to diminish our forces and the hostile terrain showed no
- 6:13signs of giving in. Then a metal rumble resounded a few meters from us.
- 6:19It was as if something very big made of metal had crashed into the
- 6:24jungle. We got down instinctively, convinced that the sound could only come from
- 6:30those organized crime men who were chasing us. However, the jungle kept a
- 6:35sepulchral silence after that rumbling without any sign of human activity. Minutes passed and
- 6:43the jungle remained calm. We looked up cautiously and began to walk towards the
- 6:48origin of the noise the heart, beating with a mixture of fear and expectation.
- 6:54As we moved forward the jungle seemed to bring us back to reality.
- 6:59If there is no sign that something metallic and great would have caused that rumbling,
- 7:04confusion and doubt took over us. Maybe exhaustion and hunger had played tricks.
- 7:11With our perception, we decided to continue our path, trying to leave
- 7:16behind the mysterious sound that still resonated in our minds. Another thirty minutes passed
- 7:23in the middle of the silence interrupted only by the constant murmur of the jungle,
- 7:28just as we began to believe that the previous incident had been an illusion.
- 7:32Another sound broke the stillness of the jungle. This time it wasn'
- 7:39t metal. It was a deep and terrifying roar, a sound that enveloped
- 7:43the jungle with an intimidating presence. We recognized the sound immediately was the roar
- 7:48of a jaguar, one of the most imposing and dangerous creatures in the jungle.
- 7:53Although the idea of running into one of these predators filled us with fear.
- 7:58What to discover we lived by listening more carefully was even more frightening.
- 8:03That roar of the jaguar did not resound like that of a predator, stalking
- 8:09or fighting. Rather it seemed a lament his last, sighs of life,
- 8:13resounding in the jungle. For us, at that time, the idea of
- 8:18facing a jaguar was already frightening, but what we saw as we looked out
- 8:22left an indelible mark on our minds. The jaguar lay dying on the ground.
- 8:28It emitted agonizing sounds, but what captured our attention was no other known
- 8:33feline or predator. At first it seemed that the jaguar was covered by some
- 8:39kind of blanket. The scene was surreal, but as we watched more closely,
- 8:45we realized that it was not a blanket at all, but another creature,
- 8:50a creature that we had no references to something completely alien to our understanding.
- 8:56I would describe it as something flat s r. S. Sir.
- 9:00Amparable to a starfish, but instead of a star shape, it was more
- 9:03like a rectangle. The most unusual, however, were the hundreds of small
- 9:09legs similar to those of an insect, but harder, which seemed to stick
- 9:13into the skin of its prey. The top was covered by a black fur
- 9:20that at first glance looked like a plush mantle. The creature immersed in his
- 9:24macabre task devoured the dying jaguar. At first it was difficult for us to
- 9:31understand what we saw, as it seemed that I was simply covering it.
- 9:35However, while we remained stunned, the creature revealed that it was not only
- 9:43absorbing the vital energy of its prey, but also realizing our presence. Before
- 9:48we could emit any sound, the creature was incorporated in a way that challenged
- 9:54all logic. Its rectangular shape did not make it possible to distinguish clearly from
- 10:00two where its head or extremities were. However, when he straightened out,
- 10:05we could see the lower part of the creature and what he revealed left us
- 10:09even more dazzled. We realized that the creature was watching us with attention that
- 10:13suggested surprising intelligence. Despite its grotesque form and predatory behaviour, it emanated a
- 10:20strange serenity as if it were in tune with the very nature of the jungle
- 10:26and at that time the Forest seemed to be silent in reverence for the presence
- 10:33of this unknown creature. At the time the creature was incorporated, it revealed
- 10:37its grotesque and terrifying nature. Three circular mouths filled with tiny teeth occupied the
- 10:46top of its rectangular shape. The lower part was covered with reddish suction cups
- 10:52and a repulsive slug that fired an unbearable smell comparable to that of advanced decomposition.
- 10:58It was a wandering bird of nature, a manifestation of the unknown and
- 11:03terrifying for all of us. The creature uttered a dreadful squeal and at that
- 11:09moment we realized that that previous metallic sound came from her. Terror took hold
- 11:15of us realizing that this entity had been stalking us invisible as we moved through
- 11:22the jungle, although my military training should have prepared me to face adversity calmly.
- 11:30The unnatural reality of what I saw was against everything I knew about living
- 11:33things. Panic gripped us and, in an instinctive act, we began to
- 11:39run in all directions without a fixed course, only with the desire to get
- 11:45away from that abominable creature. But running away turned out to be an ineffective
- 11:50strategy. The creature chased us with a surprising agility, defying the laws of
- 11:56the known miss nature as we ran them. I realized that, despite its
- 12:01apparent lack of agility, the creature moved fast on the ground and surprisingly climbed
- 12:07trees with the skill of a spider and its extremities clung to the branches,
- 12:11allowing it to jump from one tree to another easily. It was a manifestation
- 12:18of relentlessly moving terror in its determination to catch us. In a moment of
- 12:26despair, we remember that we were carrying weapons and without thinking twice we started
- 12:31shooting at the creature, hoping that the bullets could be the key to escape
- 12:37his persecution. However, the creature demonstrated unimaginable dexterity. By avoiding each shot
- 12:43easily, each bullet seemed to pass to one side of it without harming it.
- 12:50The most disconcerting thing was that, instead of retreating or fleeing, the
- 12:54creature seemed to become even more enraged at the shootings of his squeals, even
- 13:00of sons in intensity filling the air with a cacophony of terror. In the
- 13:03midst of this fury, something extraordinary happened. The creature, as if it
- 13:09had channeled its anger, began to transform and its rectangular form was distorted and
- 13:15twisted in incomprehensible ways. The suction cups at the bottom expanded and contracted.
- 13:22The drool that covered it began to shine with a luminescence that was perfectly observable,
- 13:28even with daylight. At that moment, while we were still running and
- 13:33shooting, the creature disappeared from our sight. He didn' t evaporate or
- 13:37fade. It just became invisible to our terrified eyes. The forest seemed to
- 13:43sigh with relief freed from the disturbing presence of that unknown entity. The jungle
- 13:50was again plunged into a disturbing silence. We stopped panting and confused without fully
- 13:56understanding what we had just witnessed. The creature was still present in our minds
- 14:03a shadow at the limit of our perception. Just when we thought we lost
- 14:09the creature. It suddenly fell on one of the men who accompanied us.
- 14:13His face was completely enveloped by the rectangular shape of that entity. Although the
- 14:20man tried to resist at first in a matter of minutes, he collapsed on
- 14:24the ground. I can' t say for sure that he made him the
- 14:28creature, but I always thought he suffocated him, since his hands became purple
- 14:33as if he had run out of air in the body. Seeing the opportunity
- 14:39another of the men fired at the creature, although the bullet did not penetrate
- 14:43his skin, if he managed to make something like blood sprout from it,
- 14:48a phosphorescent green liquid that did not behave like the blood of any known being.
- 14:52However, this only enraged the creature, which curled around the leg of
- 14:58the man who fired. The others tried to free him, but the creature
- 15:03clung to powerlessness with supernatural force. Another man tried to shoot, but the
- 15:11creature, with an amazing agility, dodged the bullet and it ended up embedded
- 15:16in the leg of the same man. Now he had not only wounds from
- 15:20the creature' s mouths, but also a bullet lodged in his leg.
- 15:26Panic gripped everyone as they tried to shoot the creature who, being overcome,
- 15:31climbed the trees and walked away at a surprising speed. Finally, fleeing the
- 15:37scene, confusion and perplexity took over us, as we had been attacked by
- 15:43something that challenged any scientific explanation. It was not an animal known to man
- 15:48and, in addition to the discharge we had suffered, one of our companions
- 15:54was seriously injured. However, in the midst of adversity, all the great
- 15:58hear something that gave us hope, the sound of the river, the same
- 16:03river whose search had led us to this nightmare without thinking much we took our
- 16:11wounded companion and headed towards the blissful river that became our hope of salvation.
- 16:18Carrying our wounded companion was not an easy task, but the sound of the
- 16:22river impelled us by marking a compass that guided us towards the promise of safety
- 16:27and escape. As we reached the river, the initial relief was mixed with
- 16:32the awareness that we had not yet achieved true security. Despite the need to
- 16:37walk several kilometers to reach civilization. Hope was revived by seeing people living in
- 16:44the vicinity of the river in the distance. We quickly headed towards them,
- 16:49getting the help we needed so much, and soon we were on our way
- 16:56back to our homes. However, the s history n o n r s
- 16:59NS included there when we shared what happened from the confrontation with organized crime to
- 17:04the terrifying encounter with the creature, we found the disbelief of those around us.
- 17:11Our superiors refused to accept our version, insisting that we could not divulge
- 17:18those stories, and the official narrative stated that the people of organized crime had
- 17:22killed the lives of our comrades and that only we, four had survived.
- 17:30The situation became even more strange when our injured partner went to the doctor to
- 17:34treat the injury to his leg caused by the creature. Neither the doctors nor
- 17:40the superiors could provide a clear explanation of the origin of that strange wound.
- 17:45Despite their efforts, the leg could not be saved and they were forced to
- 17:51amputate it. They banned us from talking about the incident and made us sign
- 17:57confidentiality agreements. My mind kept going over the question of why our superiors prevented
- 18:02us from sharing the truth, what hidden reasons were behind the denial of our
- 18:07encounters with organized crime and the unknown creature. The intrigue and frustration were mixed
- 18:15in our thoughts as we tried to assimilate the reality that was being built around
- 18:22us. To this day, I am convinced that in the thickness of the
- 18:26jungle there is a creature unknown to mankind. Although I have no tangible evidence
- 18:33to support my belief, the experience lived has left an indelible mark on my
- 18:37mind, I prefer that this creature remain hidden in the jungle, far from
- 18:42human attention, where its mysterious secrets do not endanger those who venture into that
- 18:48inhospitable environment. The jungle keeps its secrets and some encounters no matter how terrifying
- 18:55they may be must remain in the darkness to preserve the tranquility of those who
- 19:00are not prepared to face the unknown. The truth can be as creepy as
- 19:06fiction, and perhaps it is better for that creature to remain hidden. But
- 19:10the reason I' m telling this is that whoever goes into the jungle is
- 19:14aware of what he can find. My name is Martin and what I'
- 19:25m going to tell you next is pretty hard to believe. However, I
- 19:29swear on the most sacred thing that was true. Since I remember, the
- 19:33family atmosphere in my home was never good. My childhood was marked by the
- 19:38constant presence of attention and hostility. My parents were constantly arguing and I became
- 19:45the target of their frustrations. When I turned eighteen, I decided it was
- 19:51enough. I couldn' t stand that toxic environment anymore, so I made
- 19:56the decision to enlist in the army in the hope of escaping that hell forever.
- 20:02At first everything seemed to be going well. I discovered that I had
- 20:06a natural talent for the military environment and was soon assigned to my first mission.
- 20:11I can' t reveal many details, as it' s forbidden,
- 20:15but what I lived that night marked my life in a way I would never
- 20:19have imagined. In the army. I met Eduardo, a boy who,
- 20:23like me, joined together to escape the abuse of his stepfather. We quickly
- 20:29became friends, sharing our stories and supporting each other. We spent most of
- 20:36our time together and that night of surveillance was no exception. It was a
- 20:41dark night. The moon barely lit the ground. We were in the middle
- 20:45of nowhere talking nonsense. As we shared a cigarette I suddenly felt a chill
- 20:53in the back of my head, as if someone or something was watching me.
- 20:56I looked around, but the darkness covered everything and I could not see
- 21:00anything out of the ordinary. My attitude alerted Eduardo, who also began to
- 21:07get nervous and we both heard a noise coming from nearby scrublands, so we
- 21:12approached cautiously. Edward threw some stones into the bush and suddenly ran out a
- 21:19black rabbit. It was almost lost in the darkness of the night, but
- 21:23as the sense of being observed moved away, it also faded away. Leaving
- 21:30us bewildered. We returned to our post trying to downplay the strange event.
- 21:36However, the night still kept surprises for us. As we continued talking and
- 21:42smoking, we noticed that something was not right and the atmosphere became increasingly oppressive
- 21:47as if we were being watched by something we could not see. We decided
- 21:53to walk a little further away from our post, exploring the surroundings and suddenly
- 21:57a gust of cold wind enveloped us and the temperature dropped sharply. We stopped
- 22:04and looked around, but we saw nothing, only darkness and silence. That
- 22:11' s when we heard a laugh, a terrifying, demonic laugh that made
- 22:17our hearts speed up. We look in every direction trying to identify the source
- 22:22of that sound. Eduardo grabbed his rifle. Tensus and alert. I got
- 22:26ready for the worst, too. The laughter intensified resounding around us and suddenly
- 22:33we saw shadows moving through the trees. They were dark and deformed figures slowly
- 22:38approaching. Terror paralyzed us and our rifles trembled in our hands. The shadows
- 22:45materialized in front of us. They were humanoid figures, who seemed to be
- 22:52women, but their presence was loaded with malice. Although we couldn' t
- 22:56distinguish their facial features. I was sure they' d smile at us with
- 23:00an intensity that would freeze the blood. Eduardo and I retreated, but the
- 23:06figures moved relentlessly towards us and out of nowhere the figures disappeared, leaving us
- 23:11in a disturbing silence. We were stunned and frightened without understanding what we had
- 23:18just witnessed and decided to return to our position, but the feeling of discomfort
- 23:22did not abandon us. After that terrifying experience in the countryside, Eduardo and
- 23:27I returned to the base without uttering a word about what we had witnessed.
- 23:33The feeling of discomfort did not leave us, but neither of us dared to
- 23:37talk to anyone about it. Soon we were relieved of our service and headed
- 23:44to rest. That night, in the quiet of my bed, I tried
- 23:48to fall asleep, but the memories of that experience insisted on invading my mind.
- 23:53The shadows, the laughter and the figures were repeated over and over again
- 23:59as if it were tattooed in my thoughts. Finally, tiredness overcame my endurance
- 24:03and I fell into a restless sleep. The nightmare began in the middle of
- 24:10nowhere, illuminated only by the dim moonlight. Suddenly, the black rabbit appeared
- 24:14in front of me. His eyes seemed to stare at me, penetrating my
- 24:19soul with a disturbing intensity. I tried to pull him away, but the
- 24:26rabbit remained immutable. Suddenly, the laughter began to resonate around me. The
- 24:30sound was almost maddening, rumbling in my ears in a way that went beyond
- 24:36the natural. I felt a pressure on my feet and looking down, I
- 24:41discovered that the black rabbit was there licking my feet with a viscose tongue and
- 24:45an indescribable repulsion. He took over me, but the rabbit continued his action
- 24:52as if he was accomplishing a sinister purpose. The laughter intensified and I desperately
- 24:57tried to get away, but my feet were trapped as if they were stuck
- 25:03to the ground, and the darkness was closing around me and I felt something
- 25:07lurking in the shadows. Suddenly, the rabbit stopped and raised his head,
- 25:12his gaze became more intense and the laughter turned into a terrifying whisper. Then,
- 25:19without warning, he vanished into the darkness, leaving me alone in the
- 25:23middle of nowhere, I suddenly woke up sweating, trembling and with a fast
- 25:30heart. Although the room was silent, the feeling of restlessness persisted and when
- 25:34I looked down, a strong painful stab on my feet, made me tremble.
- 25:41I lowered the sheets with fear and my eyes met with the horrifying sight
- 25:45of my feet. These were bruised with wounds still bleeding, as if the
- 25:51nightmare had left a physical mark on my body. Terror enveloped me as I
- 25:56watched the unexplained wounds on my feet. That nightmare had transcended the limits,
- 26:03leaving me with the certainty that what I lived in the field had deeper connections
- 26:07than the black rabbit could comprehend, the laughter and shadows kept stalking me,
- 26:12even in my dreams, manifesting themselves in ways that challenged all logic. I
- 26:22tried to convince myself that everything was the product of my imagination, but the
- 26:26wounds on my feet were tangible proof that something supernatural had happened. That experience
- 26:32in the field had unleashed dark forces that were now manifesting themselves in my reality
- 26:37and in my nightmares. Recalling that the line between what is real and what
- 26:41is fantastic sometimes fades into darkness, I decided to keep secret the strange wounds
- 26:48on my feet, fearing that any attempt at explanation would only attract more questions
- 26:52and chose to wear my boots and face agony. Every time I took a
- 26:59step, it was as if hundreds of blades were sinking into the flesh of
- 27:03my feet. With each movement, each step was a test of resistance,
- 27:07a silent struggle against the pain that threatened to consume me completely. That night
- 27:15it was my turn to keep watch with Eduardo again. When the time came,
- 27:18I headed to our post trying to hide the torment that manifested itself at
- 27:23every step. Edward, for his part, was visibly nervous. He smoked
- 27:29one cigarette after another, like he was looking for comfort in the smoke.
- 27:33Once time passed and we made sure we were completely alone, Eduardo broke the
- 27:37silence. His gaze reflected a mixture of fear. As he told me his
- 27:45strange dream, I could feel the intensity of his words as if I were
- 27:49sharing more than just a nightmare. In his dream. Two dreadful birds attacked
- 27:56him sinking into his back with sharp claws on the reindeer. The can was
- 28:00so vivid that I could imagine the scene, the darkness of the night,
- 28:04the sinister squawks of birds and the sense of despair that enveloped it. Upon
- 28:10awakening his back he was bloodied as if the creatures of his dream had left
- 28:17a tangible mark on reality. As I listened to his account, my mind
- 28:22retreated to my own nightmare. With the black rabbit and the wounds on my
- 28:26feet. I understood that something else was happening, something that transcended the limits
- 28:32of the rational and explained by conventional logic. Eduardo showed me the marks on
- 28:37his back and a chill swept through my body to see the tangible evidence of
- 28:41his nightmare. That couldn' t make a coincidence. Something dark and disturbing.
- 28:47It was untied, connecting our dreams with real wounds. The atmosphere became
- 28:52even more tense when I shared my own experiences, showing him the wounds on
- 28:59my feet. Eduardo' s eyes reflected the fear. We were facing something
- 29:03bigger than us, something we couldn' t fully understand. We decided to
- 29:11keep our shared experiences secret by fearing the reaction of others and knowing the truth.
- 29:17We continue our duties, but the shadow of the unknown chased us lurking
- 29:22in every corner of the military base. The nights became more disturbing with whispers
- 29:29in the wind and shadows moving on the periphery of our vision. Each guard
- 29:33was a test of resistance, not only against the real dangers, but also
- 29:38against the forces that seemed to emanate from the supernatural. We could not ignore
- 29:45the connection between our dreams and the physical wounds we bore as marks of our
- 29:51encounter. With the inexplicable. Each day became a battle between reality and nightmare,
- 29:55not knowing when one would become the other. So we dived into a
- 30:02dark shared secret, facing together the terrors that night separated us. However,
- 30:07we were not yet aware of the true nature, of the darkness around us,
- 30:12or of the trials we were still destined to face. As the days
- 30:18passed, the atmosphere at the military base became increasingly oppressive, the connection between
- 30:22our nightmares and the real wounds deepened and the feeling of being observed became overwhelming.
- 30:30Eduardo and I shared nervous looks, aware that we were immersed in something
- 30:37that exceeded our understanding. One night after fulfilling our tasks, we both talked
- 30:45about how little we had slept since that day, in a moment we decided
- 30:49to investigate further and decided not to want to live like this, we left
- 30:53the base with all the intention of going into the weeds to face whatever it
- 30:59was that we were heading towards the area where we had our encounter with the
- 31:03unknown and could feel the tension in the air. As we approached the place
- 31:08where shadows and laughter had disturbed our reality. Suddenly, a chill ran through
- 31:17my back and I noticed Eduardo getting alert. The darkness seemed to come to
- 31:22life around us and the shadows moved unusually, taking indescribable forms. In the
- 31:27distance we heard a whisper, a mixture of laughs and incomprehensible voices that iced
- 31:33our blood. We decided to go further into the darkness, guided by the
- 31:40need to understand what was lurking us. When we got to the place where
- 31:42we first saw the black rabbit. We find ourselves with an ominous presence.
- 31:48The temperature dropped sharply and a dim light lit up the figure of a rabbit,
- 31:53this time bigger and darker than ever. The rabbit looked at us with
- 31:59bright eyes and evil eyes, and his laughter resounded in the air. We
- 32:02tried to back off, but we were trapped in some sort of trance.
- 32:07It was like a paralyzing fear, which at the same time made us have
- 32:12memories of everything that would ever have made us fear in our lives. We
- 32:17tried to run, but our legs felt like lead. Each step was a
- 32:22superhuman effort, as if we were trapped in a dream from which we could
- 32:28not awaken. Memories haunted our minds, but eduardo seemed to be more concerned
- 32:32with him than I could understand by the things he had told me about his
- 32:37life at one point everything stopped. The wisest thing would have been for us
- 32:44to go back and try to deal with everything that happened from the security of
- 32:46the base. However, neither of us was willing to continue with that,
- 32:51so we decided to continue. We decided to move on, venturing into the
- 32:59unknown, while the military bar slept outside the horrors we faced and as we
- 33:04moved forward, the atmosphere became heavier and darker as if we were going into
- 33:09a realm of nightmares, after walking for what seemed like an eternity. Both
- 33:15Edward and I realized that we seemed not to be moving forward. It was
- 33:21as if we were walking in our own place, for wherever we turned,
- 33:25everything looked exactly the same. Nothing at the time seemed to make sense.
- 33:30Suddenly, the sound of birds filled the air. Those sounds caused Eduardo to
- 33:36pale and assured me that those sounds were the same as the birds of his
- 33:40dreams. We hid behind the weeds, watching astonishment as two birds descended gracefully
- 33:46to touch land without warning. Birds became old women with hideous, demonic faces
- 33:53that challenged any logical explanation. Our hearts were pounding, while the rabbit,
- 34:02who seemed to have come from nowhere, joined them. One of the women
- 34:07spoke words in an incomprehensible language. That' s when that rabbit became a
- 34:14third woman. The scene was surreal, like a whirlwind of horror that challenged
- 34:19any rational explanation. Fear paralysed us and Eduardo involuntarily retreated, breaking a branch
- 34:27and alerting the women of our presence. Without further ado, we both began
- 34:32the flight, we began to run in the opposite direction as quickly as our
- 34:37legs allowed us through the weeds, while the sound of laughter and fluttering resonated
- 34:43in our ears, as we ran women now in a sort of macabre chase,
- 34:50chasing us with a speed that challenged logic. Every laugh was rumbling in
- 34:55the dark, wrapping us in a nightmare that seemed to have no end.
- 35:00We ran breathless with the horror lurking in every shadow that stood in our way.
- 35:07Finally, we managed to reach an illuminated area of the base, where
- 35:12our superiors found us exhausted and terrified. We tried to articulate explanations, but
- 35:19our words were a whirlwind of confusion and fear. Reality had been distorted in
- 35:23such a way that expressing what happened was impossible. The perplexed superiors tried to
- 35:31get answers, but our explanations were vaguely fragmented and how little we could say
- 35:37sounded like a complete nonsense For them they looked at us with skepticism, unable
- 35:45to understand the nightmare we had faced. The darkness that followed us had left
- 35:50physical and emotional marks, but we did not have the words to describe the
- 35:54indescribable. After the disconcerting encounter with the demonine women, who we were sure
- 36:01for that moment were witches, they sent us to rest. However, the
- 36:07simple act of closing our eyes and letting the darkness envelop us was completely impossible.
- 36:14The memories of that nightmare took hold of our thoughts every time we tried
- 36:20to rest like persistent shadows that refused to disappear. Amidst the disturbing stillness of
- 36:27the night, murmurs began to appear. It wasn' t long before I
- 36:32realized they came from the bunk next to mine. Only a few steps away
- 36:37was Eduardo, who spoke in an indecipherable murmur. I asked him several times
- 36:43what was wrong with him, but I didn' t get any answers.
- 36:46I got closer to him, and that' s when I noticed his eyes
- 36:51were blank. Like I' m in a deep trance. Eduardo continued to
- 36:57speak in that unknown language, contorting the. I don' t know how
- 37:00I' m fighting something invisible alarmed. I immediately called our superiors, who
- 37:07quickly came to the scene, tried to take him to the infirmary, but
- 37:12every time someone approached, Eduardo reacted violently, as if he were possessed by
- 37:19a demonic force in the midst of chaos. Some of our companions began to
- 37:24pray for divine protection against whatever was affecting Edward. Despite not being particularly religious,
- 37:31I joined them in hoping to find some response or relief to the situation.
- 37:38The tension in the room was palpable, as if we were on the
- 37:43verge of something that transcended the reality we knew with the first rays of the
- 37:47sun. A strange calm descended upon the room. Edward stopped contorting and regained
- 37:53consciousness, but his gaze was lost and confused. He could not remember what
- 37:59was about to happen as if his mind had been completely erased. We tried
- 38:05to talk to him about what happened, but it was as if an invisible
- 38:08barrier prevented access to those memories. We were both sent back before completing our
- 38:15mission. The official explanation was Eduardo' s health problem, but we knew
- 38:21it was much more complex than that. Shortly afterwards, we both decided to
- 38:25leave the army and although the darkness that was after us was no longer present,
- 38:31we knew that something had irrevocably changed us, since none wanted to return
- 38:37to their families, Eduardo and I decided to live together and so it has
- 38:42been since then, trying to rebuild our lives outside of military service. However,
- 38:46Eduardo still cannot remember what happened that night. The experience had left a
- 38:52deep mark on his mind and although we tried to talk about it, he
- 38:58preferred to avoid the subject. The friendship between us, another became stronger as
- 39:00if we shared a unique and mysterious bond. The darkness we live brought us
- 39:07together in a way that only those who have faced the unexplainable can understand.
- 39:12Although the nightmare we live in remains an unsolved mystery, we have learned to
- 39:16live with it, accepting that some truths are beyond our comprehension. Today,
- 39:22we look to the future with a mixture of courage and caution, aware that
- 39:28the shadows of the past will always be present in the depths of our memory.
- 39:38From my earliest childhood, my heart beat at the pace of a dream
- 39:43to be a soldier, my family, who revered military discipline and as soon
- 39:47as age gave me permission I enlisted in the army. That decision was the
- 39:52best of my life, as I discovered that my skills were perfectly suited to
- 39:58the rigor of the battlefield. Time slipped like an implacable river. I went
- 40:02on missions that proved my courage and forged my character. However, no prior
- 40:07experience would prepare me for the dark twist that would take my destiny. On
- 40:14one of those missions we were ambushed in a gloomy place. The sound of
- 40:19the shooting sounded in my ears mixed with the heartbreaking screams of my comrades.
- 40:24We were wrapped in a deadly ballet of lights and shadows. A macabre dance
- 40:30that anticipated imminent danger found me entrenched. My left arm was wounded by an
- 40:37enemy bullet. The ammo was running out and despair was taking over me and
- 40:42in an instant of confusion, it seemed to me that the whole world had
- 40:46vanished, leaving me alone in the midst of the death that was unfolding around
- 40:51me. That' s when a partner dragged me away from all the chaos,
- 40:55just to reveal to me an even scarier truth. Everyone else lay without
- 41:00life. The darkness became our ally when, taking advantage of the prevailing confusion,
- 41:07we descended by a slope within walking distance. We glimpsed a cave that,
- 41:13although it seemed abandoned and threatening, was our only option of refuge.
- 41:19As we approached, I noticed symbols carved on the surrounding rocks, strange marks
- 41:24that my military training did not allow me to understand before I could reflect on
- 41:30their meaning. A deafening rumble resonated around us. My companion standing next to
- 41:37me vanished at the entrance of the cave, as if the explosion itself had
- 41:40taken away its existence. Another rumble this time directed toward me did not fulfill
- 41:47its sinister purpose. Leaving my friend behind, I rushed into the dark opening.
- 41:54As I went into the silence of the cave, a disconcerting echo enveloped
- 41:59me and r and suddenly I could hear the voice of one of my attackers,
- 42:02who said leave it. It doesn' t come out of there anymore.
- 42:06I kept going, desperately looking for a corner to hide from the nightmare
- 42:12that was hovering over me. Strange sounds came out of nowhere, the light
- 42:16of my flashlight becoming in my consciousness. Before a beacon of hope seemed to
- 42:22fade with every step. A sulfur aroma leaked into the air announcing the presence
- 42:28of something inexplicable. My senses were clouded when I glimpsed an indistinct figure in
- 42:35the shadows, approaching the flashing light of my flashlight. He revealed the enormity
- 42:39of the presence, a dark mass that moved with palpable malignancy. My Mind
- 42:45weakened by blood loss and confusion, could barely process the vision before everything turned
- 42:52black. When I regained consciousness, I found myself still inside the cave,
- 42:59the blackness around me. He did not reveal how long he had spent in
- 43:04that hellish place. With great effort I managed to stand up feeling the wound
- 43:07in my arm, punching with every movement, I went into the darkness with
- 43:13uncertainty. As my only companion, time in the dark seemed to dilate by
- 43:20distorting reality and every step was a struggle, but finally my legs led me
- 43:24out. The light of the sun penetrated the cave, revealing the horrible scene
- 43:30that was taking off before my eyes my companion' s body lay inert witness
- 43:37silent of the tragedy that enveloped us. The scent of death floated in the
- 43:39air a persistent reminder of the fragility of life. Despite the years of service,
- 43:45that smell remains unbearable to me, as a stark reminder of the reality
- 43:52of our own mortality. In the distance, I heard my partner' s
- 43:58radio still coming out weak. With effort I managed to give my location,
- 44:04but I wasn' t safe yet. While I was waiting outside I was
- 44:07able to examine carefully. The symbols carved on the rocks in daylight acquired a
- 44:10new intensity, revealing themselves as warnings engraved in an unknown language. One of
- 44:19the inscriptions seemed to be a warning a plea for no one to venture further.
- 44:25Other inscriptions constituted a sort of cryptic language, messages that my military mind
- 44:31could not decipher. In those moments I realized that there was more to the
- 44:36cave than shadows and strange sounds. There was an ancient knowledge, a presence
- 44:43that challenged every logical explanation. In the ambulance, one of the paramedics with
- 44:50a more serious air questioned me about whether I had entered the cave without seeing
- 44:53any reason to hide the truth I felt and the paramedic, with a look
- 44:59that mixes surprise and gravity, not only assured me that I had been very
- 45:04lucky to stay alive after the shooting, but also added that it did not
- 45:09seem to refer only to that. He told me stories of people who,
- 45:15ignoring the warnings, had entered the cave and had never returned alive. The
- 45:20cave According to his words, he kept an indescribable evil. He talked about
- 45:24how it wasn' t long ago. A couple of teenage adventurers had entered
- 45:29and only one finger was found as a macabre evidence of their unknown destiny.
- 45:37As the ambulance moved towards the hospital. The story of the paramedic was entangled
- 45:42in my mind, mixing with the memories of the cave and the disquieting shadows
- 45:46that had inhabited it. Although my military training had taught me to rule out
- 45:52superstitions, I could not ignore the intensity of the experiences I had just experienced.
- 45:58Despite the warnings and creepy stories, I was clinging to the tangible reality
- 46:02of my survival. The cave could hold dark secrets, but I was still
- 46:08alive, a tangible proof of my resistance. The line between reality and the
- 46:14nightmare was fading, but I was still standing still without believing at all.
- 46:20In the horror stories that threatened to wrap me. After witnessing the chilling experience
- 46:24of the ambush, I chose to omit the details experienced when I entered the
- 46:30cave, those lived before fainting out of fear of the reactions of my superiors.
- 46:37The uncertainty about what had really happened and the reluctance to be branded irrational
- 46:42in a military environment led me to remain silent about events in that hell.
- 46:51My superiors, perhaps concerned about my mental well- being, decided to grant
- 46:57me a few days at home so that I could recover and leave behind the
- 47:01horrors I had witnessed. The idea in principle seemed to me a balm in
- 47:05the face of the nightmare that had taken over my being. The return home
- 47:08was a chapter of mixed emotions. The longed for vision of my home gave
- 47:15me a glimpse of peace in the midst of the whirlwind of thoughts. My
- 47:17feet creaked on the way in as I advanced to the front door, carrying
- 47:23with me the weight of what I could only describe as a supernatural experience,
- 47:30as if the very essence of what I had with me instilled fear in him.
- 47:35The most disconcerting thing was when he began to sob and with a gesture
- 47:39of fear, he peed before leaving. Running Max' s reaction left me
- 47:44stunned, wondering what had changed in me so that my own dog would see
- 47:49me in such terror. My steps resounded on the threshold of my home and
- 47:52the door opened revealing the vision I most longed for. My two twin sons
- 47:58greeted me enthusiastically. They alien to the darkness lurking in my mind, wrapped
- 48:02me in a warm and comforting embrace. My wife, a strong and understanding
- 48:08woman, joined the reunion, although her eyes reflected the concern about what I
- 48:14had gone through her embrace was a safe haven that made me feel that for
- 48:20a brief moment I could leave behind the horror of the cave. The rest
- 48:24of the day was apparently normal, except for a disturbing detail. My dog
- 48:30Max refused to come near me or enter the house. Their reaction, far
- 48:35from fading, intensified with the passing of hours. Despite my attempts to call
- 48:40him and reassure him, Max remained in a strange distance, as if something
- 48:46in me inspired him fear. The night came and as I was getting ready
- 48:52to go to sleep, a feeling of discomfort took over me brushing my teeth
- 48:58in the bathroom when suddenly the light went out without warning. That was unusual,
- 49:04but the strangeness arose when trying to turn it on. Again, the
- 49:07switch seemed to resist my will. The light blinked intermittently. Admiring myself in
- 49:15the dark, a chill swept through my spine before I felt a heavy breath
- 49:22in my neck. The horrible sulfur scent filled the desperate air. I pressed
- 49:28the switch repeatedly looking to free myself from the darkness and the disturbing breath on
- 49:34my neck. The light finally returned dissipating the oppressive atmosphere. I found myself
- 49:39alone in the bathroom, trembling and trying to assimilate what had just happened.
- 49:45I wanted to downplay it by recalling the warnings about mental fragility. After traumatic
- 49:50experiences, I did not want to worry my wife with my own unfounded fears.
- 49:57After trying to calm me down or I went to bed, but falling
- 50:01asleep turned out to be a titanic task. For hours I heard max bark
- 50:07without ceasing a completely unusual behavior for him. The night was advancing and finally
- 50:13the dream enveloped me in its dark embrace. However, my rest was not
- 50:17repairing. I fell into a disturbing nightmare that dragged me back to the cave.
- 50:23The smell of sulfur saturated the air as it walked through dark and twisted
- 50:29corridors. Even though my instinct yelled at me to stop, my feet kept
- 50:34advancing. Suddenly, the terrifying grunts became present again the shadow, the same
- 50:40one that had glimpsed before fainting in that cave emerged from the darkness, but
- 50:45on this occasion I did not recede and instead I turned to it with an
- 50:51inexplicable determination. Before I could face it completely, the nightmare faded away,
- 50:58leaving me with the feeling that something dark was lurking in the shadows of my
- 51:01mind, I woke up sweating and shaking with my heart, hammering in my
- 51:07chest. The light of day had arrived, but my mind was still clinging
- 51:12to the images of the cave and the disquieting shadow. I found myself in
- 51:15a state of confusion, unable to discern between reality and night terrors. My
- 51:22dog kept barking outside like I could perceive something I couldn' t. Anxiety
- 51:28gripped me as I struggled to find answers to what was happening. In an
- 51:35attempt to regain normality, I got up from bed, but the shadow of
- 51:38the cave persisted in my mind weaving a web of mystery and terror around me.
- 51:46The following days passed in a state of tense normality. I tried to
- 51:52convince myself that recent experiences were the product of stress and accumulated fatigue. However,
- 51:58the line between reality and fantasy gradually faded away and a new heartbreaking experience
- 52:02awaited its opportunity to manifest itself. It was a sunny day and I was
- 52:10at home taking care of my children while my wife was at work. I
- 52:15wanted to enjoy those moments taking advantage of the warmth of the day to disconnect
- 52:21from the disturbing events that haunted me. My children, energetic and full of
- 52:24life twins, were excited about an afternoon of movies, as we watched a
- 52:30movie in the living room, the family atmosphere was suddenly darkened. My children
- 52:37absorbed in the plot of the film began to complain about a bad smell.
- 52:42At first I tried to downplay the importance by attributing it to something trivial,
- 52:47but as the smell persisted it became unbearable, I decided to investigate fearful of
- 52:54what I might discover As I approached the source of the smell, a feeling
- 53:00of discomfort seized me. It was then that, among the shadows of the
- 53:02room, illuminated by the film, I glimpsed the same dark shadow that had
- 53:07tormented me in the cave and in the darkness of the night. I remember
- 53:12trying to convince myself that that wasn' t really there. I decided to
- 53:15go back to my children. My children now aware of my discomfort. They
- 53:22asked why he was pale as a spectrum. I didn' t want to
- 53:27alarm you, so I tried to hide my restlessness. However, the shadow
- 53:30persisted an indescribable presence that challenged all logic. I tried to focus on the
- 53:37movie, but my attention was divided. The shadow seemed to have its own
- 53:43life, moving subtly in the corners of the room and the atmosphere became tense
- 53:47and the bad smell intensified with every passing moment. After that encounter with the
- 53:53shadow in the middle of the day, the following days brought no relief.
- 53:58The house plunged into it in an oppressive environment and the smell of sulfur infiltrated
- 54:01into every corner. My children, once filled with laughter and joy, seemed
- 54:07to have lost their vitality. Their eyes reflected the constant fear that enveloped them.
- 54:14The nights became a whirlwind of growing nightmares. Every dream was an odyssey
- 54:20through the halls of the cave. The sulfur aroma flooded my senses and the
- 54:23shadows casting in every corner. I woke up sweaty and trembling, unable to
- 54:30escape the horrors that seized my mind, life became more and more unbearable.
- 54:36The dark presence hovered over us, transforming our home into a scene of anguish.
- 54:43The walls seemed to whisper unfathomable secrets and the atmosphere was loaded with the
- 54:47tension of the unknown. Everything reached its peak on a night that would be
- 54:52marked forever in my memory. As usual. I struggled to fall asleep trapped
- 54:59in my own thoughts and suddenly, a tearful cry rang out all over the
- 55:04house. I got out of bed with anxiety, taking over me. The
- 55:09source of the cry was one of my sons who lay in the hallway outside
- 55:14his room crying dismayedly. Her clothes were stained with blood and my heart froze
- 55:20to see the three deep cuts in her arm, as if sharp claws had
- 55:24torn her skin. My son, in sobs, insisted that the monster in
- 55:30his closet, a presence that had come with me from the army, was
- 55:36responsible for his wounds. My mind struggled to assimilate what I saw as my
- 55:40fatherly instinct roared with indomitable fury. I examined the room for some logical explanation,
- 55:49but everything was silent, except for my son' s pits. The
- 55:53smell of sulfur pervaded the air, confirming that the dark shadow that was chasing
- 55:59us was near crouching in the shadows. Reality blurted before my eyes and fear
- 56:05gripped me with overwhelming intensity. My children, marked by the dark presence,
- 56:10were clinging to the only explanation that their young minds could conceive of the monster
- 56:16in the closet, an evil being who had come to torment them. On
- 56:21the same day that I had set foot in my home, under the overwhelming
- 56:25weight of supernatural experiences that tormented my home, I acceded to my wife'
- 56:30s pleas and decided to seek the help of a medium. The woman wrapped
- 56:36in a mystical air assured me that the night I had entered the cave,
- 56:39something evil had permeated me. Following me home, the medium tried to perform
- 56:46clean rituals to free the house from the dark presence, but his efforts seemed
- 56:52to fade into the malevolence that had taken root in the very foundations of the
- 56:58place. Every attempt at purification was faced with supernatural resistance, as if the
- 57:04entity were feeding on our fears and despair. Days later, circumstances took me
- 57:12back to the army and with my return, the evil entity also clung to
- 57:15me. The medium, seeing the tenacity of the dark presence, suggested that
- 57:22it was directly linked to my being as if it had established an impenetrable connection.
- 57:29Every day it turned into a battle between my desire to protect my family
- 57:32and free myself from the shadow that haunted me. The burden of facing both
- 57:37the visible and the invisible led me to make an distressing decision. I decided
- 57:42not to return to my home until I could get rid of the entity that
- 57:46had followed me from the cave. My wife, though dismayed by the separation,
- 57:52understood the urgency of supporting our children. Safe from the supernatural threat that
- 57:57accompanied me, my life has already become a desperate search for answers and solutions.
- 58:04I went through endless paths, consulting experts in the paranormal, visiting sacred
- 58:08places in search of protection and subjecting me to purification rituals. However, the
- 58:15shadow persisted clinging to me as a loyal shadow that would not be easily dissipated.
- 58:22Loneliness became my constant companion. Every night, when the darkness hovered over
- 58:28me, I felt the pressure of that invisible entity. Whispers resounded on the
- 58:32walls of my mind. The smell of sulfur remained a constant reminder that something
- 58:37dark had taken root in my existence. Despite my efforts to find answers,
- 58:44liberation was still elusive. The entity showed no signs of weakness, as if
- 58:51it were feeding on my despair and isolation. My quest became a constant struggle,
- 58:57an odyssey in which reality and the other supernatural interwoven into an unsolved riddle.
- 59:02Today I am alone, far from home and my family, seeking answers
- 59:07in the shadow of the paranormal. The shadow keeps lurking, defying any attempt
- 59:13at liberation. The struggle continues and as I seek a solution, the darkness
- 59:19persists, marking my existence with an uncertain and gloomy destiny. My life was
- 59:27always tied to the army. It comes from a family with a long military
- 59:32tradition. My brothers and I were sent to military schools since we were young
- 59:37enough to carry a uniform. My days were structured by rules and discipline and
- 59:44although for many this could have been a burden, I did not see it
- 59:49as a way of life that seemed familiar and in some way comforting. In
- 59:54time I forged friendships and, upon reaching the right age, I decided to
- 59:59serve as or genuinely in the Mexican army. Today I would like to share
- 1:00:05three stories in the order in which I consider from the least frightening to the
- 1:00:08most terrifying, so they do not have an exact chronological order. Okay.
- 1:00:15The first is when I was already working back then. Unlike the exciting stories
- 1:00:20my father and grandfather used to tell me, my assignments were not so exciting.
- 1:00:27I was performing tasks of low relevance, such as transporting supplies and participating
- 1:00:32in activities that did not involve significant risks. Everything changed when I was assigned
- 1:00:38to a barracks in northern Sinaloa, an area known for the intense fight against
- 1:00:44drug trafficking My father intervened to have it there and the emotion toured my being
- 1:00:49when he thought it would finally be at the center of the action. This
- 1:00:52change in my destiny aroused a sense of duty and eagerness to contribute more significantly
- 1:00:59to it as my father and grandfather had done in their own times. My
- 1:01:05first impression of HQ wasn' t as encouraging as I expected. The faces
- 1:01:09of the soldiers around me were marked by fatigue and blind signs of the harsh
- 1:01:15reality of the struggle, and despite that, I was grateful for the opportunity
- 1:01:17to be there to contribute to such a crucial mission. My first night at
- 1:01:24HQ was assigned as a watchman. My task was to inspect the perimeter from
- 1:01:30a high position and alert the soldiers in case they detect any suspicious activity.
- 1:01:36I was excited about responsibility and prepared to do my duty diligently. The night
- 1:01:43was dark without a visible one and the shadows of the forest were closing around
- 1:01:47us. Equipped with binoculars, I installed myself at my surveillance post and for
- 1:01:52the first thirty minutes I watched carefully, but the apparent calm of the environment
- 1:01:58led me to wonder if there would really be any imminent danger. That'
- 1:02:04s when, looking through binoculars, I detected something that challenged all logic.
- 1:02:08Among the trees I saw a tall figure dressed completely in white. At first
- 1:02:15I looked like a person, but as I adjusted the approach, I realized
- 1:02:20that I was not a human being. Conventional, everything in the era was
- 1:02:23white as if it were an entity that stood out in the darkness of the
- 1:02:27night. The figure stood between the shadows of the trees. I felt a
- 1:02:31chill running through my spine as I tried to understand what my eyes saw.
- 1:02:37My military training had taught me to face unknown situations, but this was something
- 1:02:43different, something that went beyond my training. Faced with the suspicion that my
- 1:02:49colleagues might be in danger, I did not hesitate to raise my radio and
- 1:02:52convey the strange situation to the soldiers below. The answer I got was puzzling.
- 1:03:00Instead of a confirmation or instructions, I was simply told to ignore it.
- 1:03:05I couldn' t accept that answer and decided to look again to make
- 1:03:08sure of what I was seeing. The figure now most visible, as it
- 1:03:13was not hidden behind the trees, stood in plain sight. It was a
- 1:03:17creature that resembled the human, but in a frightening way, with a height
- 1:03:22of about two and a half meters, His arms extremely long, almost brushed
- 1:03:28the ground and his elongated and pointed fingers ended in a form of sharp claws.
- 1:03:35The creature' s feet were small and patted, while his face lacked
- 1:03:38familiar features. There were no visible eyes, only empty basins rising up in
- 1:03:45his face. He had no nose or ear, without any trace of hair.
- 1:03:49He adorned his strange body. His advance was slow and clumsy but his
- 1:03:53presence emanated a sense of danger alarmed by the direction the cataclysm was taking.
- 1:04:00I turned on the radio again to alert my colleagues, but the answer was
- 1:04:04not what I expected. A dry one shuts up and ignores what was the
- 1:04:10only instruction I got. The disconcerting reaction of my companions only intensified my intrigue
- 1:04:15and fear. Determined to protect my companions, I continued to observe the creature
- 1:04:20with the binoculars. I was moving towards the location of my companions, ignoring
- 1:04:27any obstacle in their path. The creature approached and my pulse accelerated. Realizing
- 1:04:30that my colleagues were in imminent danger, I tried again to communicate through the
- 1:04:38radio, insisting on the threat that was approaching them, but this time I
- 1:04:42got an answer, but not the one that expected only a cold shut up
- 1:04:46and keep watching. It resonated in my ear, leaving me alone with my
- 1:04:51bewilderment and fear I saw how the creature dangerously approached my companions and to my
- 1:04:58relief and amazement, no o o o o de pons seemed interested in attacking.
- 1:05:00Instead, after a few moments he turned around and began to move away
- 1:05:05from the barracks. It was lost in the darkness of the night, leaving
- 1:05:10behind a trail of uncertainty and mystery. My guard finished and didn' t
- 1:05:15know what to do or who to go to. I retired to rest.
- 1:05:19I couldn' t get the strange experience of that night out of my mind.
- 1:05:24What was that creature and why my companions reacted so passively to its presence.
- 1:05:30My thoughts were mixed with tiredness, but a determination made in me at
- 1:05:35dawn. When the light of day lit up the barracks, I rose up
- 1:05:41with a firm purpose to find answers and went out in search of the two
- 1:05:46soldiers who were on the periphery during the strange visit of the creature. My
- 1:05:49heart was beating nervously as I advanced toward them, hoping to discover the truth
- 1:05:57behind the inexplicable. Soon I found my two companions together and without wasting time,
- 1:06:02I demanded an answer about what happened the night before. I demanded answers
- 1:06:08about the nature of that creature that somehow everyone seemed to know. My despair
- 1:06:14at understanding how paranormal I had witnessed reflected in my anxious gaze. However,
- 1:06:20my colleagues seemed immutable in the face of my urgent questioning. Their faces remained
- 1:06:26undisturbed and an air of seriousness permeated the conversation and finally, one of them,
- 1:06:31with a serious gesture, warned me that it was better not to pay
- 1:06:35attention to him, that no one knew exactly what that creature was. But
- 1:06:41everyone in the barracks was aware of his presence. My disbelief grew and I
- 1:06:46shook my teeth as I asked them why they feared him so much if they
- 1:06:51did not know what he was. They exchanged serious looks before addressing me with
- 1:06:55an answer that left my mind amazed. I was told that no one really
- 1:07:00knew what it was, but it was said that he lived nearby and had
- 1:07:04the ability to camouflage himself. Some other people said it was the same demon.
- 1:07:10Some claimed that it could be transformed into any animal, while others claimed
- 1:07:15that it was even pampered with inanimate objects, such as trees. The idea
- 1:07:20of a creature that could be transformed into trees seemed too fanciful to be real,
- 1:07:28but my companions insisted that it was a reality feared by all. I
- 1:07:32tried to understand how a creature with such abilities could cause so much terror and
- 1:07:38one of them explained that sometimes you could only distinguish it because the bark of
- 1:07:45the tree that appeared to be did not feel like such. I was puzzled,
- 1:07:48and I decided to suggest that we should do something about it if we
- 1:07:53were so afraid. However, my companions pointed out that facing that creature was
- 1:07:58not so simple. They explain that, according to reports, shooting him was
- 1:08:02the most extreme action they could take. But even that didn' t guarantee
- 1:08:08security. Those who had tried to attack the creature nicknamed dagger by the sharp
- 1:08:14shape of their fingers had suffered horrible and mysterious deaths. The description of the
- 1:08:20horrors that followed the attempts to confront the creature left me in a chill.
- 1:08:26The bodies found after an encounter with dagger hands had precise and fine cuts,
- 1:08:30as if an invisible blade had performed the work in one stroke. My astonishment
- 1:08:36grew and I asked why these stories were not better known. My companions shared
- 1:08:44the dark secret that, involving the presence of dagger hands, no one could
- 1:08:48speak openly. Of that, the orders of the high command were clear.
- 1:08:53Although the stories were shared among the soldiers, it was strictly forbidden to discuss
- 1:08:59the issue with perdis areas outside the barracks. The superiors were in charge of
- 1:09:03concealing any trace of harm caused by the creature and the countless deaths attributed to
- 1:09:09it were camouflaged under the shadow of drug trafficking violence. The revelation made it
- 1:09:15clear that the presence of that being was linked to a network of secrets and
- 1:09:19silences. No one knew why the orders were so strict or why the high
- 1:09:25command was trying to cover up the creature' s traces. The uncertainty hovered
- 1:09:30over me as I processed the magnitude of the truth my colleagues shared After that
- 1:09:36day I did what they told me and if I saw it, I just
- 1:09:40ignored it. I never knew it was or why the top brass wanted it
- 1:09:44to be a secret. I guess that' s why I have her so
- 1:09:47low on this list. The second story I' m gonna tell isn'
- 1:09:53t gonna say in names or dates for security. Anyway, at that time
- 1:09:56I was commissioned along with a group to deliver food in an area hit by
- 1:10:00a hurricane. Somewhere on the mission. My group was sent to a part
- 1:10:05that had been practically isolated to deliver some things. The difficulty of the terrain
- 1:10:12made it impossible to access trucks or vans, so we decided to continue on
- 1:10:16foot. However, the Commander made the controversial decision to cut the road through
- 1:10:23a forest with the promise of a faster route. As we moved forward,
- 1:10:29the density of vegetation increased, indicating that we were too deep in the forest.
- 1:10:35We soon realized that we were lost without a clear idea of how to
- 1:10:40return and despite the uncertainty, we continued to move forward, trying to maintain
- 1:10:45the appearance that everything was under control. In the middle of the confusion,
- 1:10:50we met a little boy who seemed to be cutting firewood. As we see
- 1:10:56it, we feel a momentary relief in finding signs of life in the midst
- 1:11:00of the vastness of the forest. However, the attitude of the child puzzled
- 1:11:03us. His silent gaze and the absence of words created a collective chill among
- 1:11:11us. The commander, trying to get guidance, asked the child about the
- 1:11:17right direction to get to the food delivery site. The child did not sound
- 1:11:23at all, He just looked at us and the discomfort grew, but in
- 1:11:28the absence of options, the commander repeated the question and this time the child
- 1:11:32pointed in a specific direction, indicating the path to the supposed exit. Gratefully,
- 1:11:41we continue to follow the direction indicated by the child. However, we
- 1:11:45barely advanced a few meters. We heard a voice behind us. Another group
- 1:11:50that had been sent in search of ours, had found us turning to answer.
- 1:11:56We noticed something alarming. The path we had been about to follow was
- 1:12:01not leading towards civilization, but was submerging us even further into the forest.
- 1:12:08The strangeness of the situation intensified when we realized that there was no trace of
- 1:12:13the boy who had shown us the way. The feeling of bewilderment took hold
- 1:12:17of us once safely. The group that found us shared the news that stories
- 1:12:24about goblins in the forest were known in the region. According to legend,
- 1:12:30these playful creatures enjoyed playing jokes to the unsuspecting and the possibility that the child
- 1:12:36was a manifestation of these legends added a new level of restlessness to our experience.
- 1:12:43The last experience I wish to share, even though it has not tormented
- 1:12:47me directly, certainly stands out as one of the most terrifying of my life.
- 1:12:53This episode goes back to my days in a military boarding school, at
- 1:12:57the early age of fifteen. In that inmate I shared the room with a
- 1:13:01particular girl who eventually became my best friend. From the beginning, this girl
- 1:13:10shared something surprising with the other roommates. He did not hide the fact that
- 1:13:15something had hit him, although he did not specify what it was. He
- 1:13:19assured that this presence did no harm and, in fact, seemed to want
- 1:13:25to protect her. At first, the other girls didn' t believe him
- 1:13:30thinking it was a strategy to stand out or seem interesting. However, that
- 1:13:34first night together revealed the truth in a way that left us perplexed. It
- 1:13:41was about midnight and although I was already used to sleeping in places other than
- 1:13:45my home because of my life in military boarding schools. I couldn' t
- 1:13:49sleep that night. As I was going around in bed, I noticed something
- 1:13:56unusual happening resounding on the wooden floor of the bedroom. The rules of the
- 1:14:00Cute boarding school dictated that no one could get out of bed until the next
- 1:14:03day. But what made it even more strange was that the steps did not
- 1:14:08seem to belong to a girl, but rather to an intrigued and somewhat restless
- 1:14:14adult person. I decided to peek out to investigate. At first I didn
- 1:14:18' t see anyone walking and I thought maybe my imagination was playing me a
- 1:14:24bad game. However, the steps persisted and this time, as I appeared
- 1:14:28again, I identified a dark silhouette standing next to my bed, and the
- 1:14:32figure seemed darker than the darkness of the startled room itself screamed, which caused
- 1:14:40all the girls in the room to wake up quickly. I told them what
- 1:14:45I had witnessed trying to put into words the figure I had seen in the
- 1:14:49middle of the night. The tension in the room rose and the girls,
- 1:14:54intrigued and frightened listened attentively as they described the presumption that seemed beyond comprehension.
- 1:15:02After sharing the creepy night experience with my roommates, my friend tried to reassure
- 1:15:09us that she was fine and at that time she could not help but share
- 1:15:15as that mysterious entity had stuck to her since childhood. The story dated back
- 1:15:20to the funeral of one of her paternal grandparents, when she was just an
- 1:15:27overactive and disobedient child. On that sad day, while the adults mourned the
- 1:15:31loss of their grandfather, the young and restless girl decided to move away from
- 1:15:36sadness and ran away from the burial without looking. He accidentally fell into an
- 1:15:42open grave panicking. Realizing that she couldn' t get out, the feeling
- 1:15:46of being trapped and the fear took hold of her. At that desperate moment,
- 1:15:53however, she felt a few hands taking her from the waist and lifting
- 1:15:58her up to the surface. She described the experience as if those mysterious hands
- 1:16:03had appeared out of nowhere. She could not identify who or who rescued her
- 1:16:08from the grave, but she ran back to her parents, believing that everything
- 1:16:14was behind her. However, in the following days she realized that something else
- 1:16:17accompanied her. At first, he did not fully understand what it was,
- 1:16:25but stated that the entity that could take various forms was not bad. He
- 1:16:30usually manifested himself as a tall man, but he could also become shadows of
- 1:16:36animals, like a cat or even a snake. Although my friend did not
- 1:16:42consider this entity to be malevolent, her family had tried to get rid of
- 1:16:46it by unsuccessful witches and shamans. Despite that, she did not feel upset
- 1:16:51about her company, although she sometimes experienced a slight fear and also noticed that,
- 1:16:57when people behaved badly with her, her protective entity intervened and unfortunate things
- 1:17:00happened to those who had treated her badly. She shared a shocking example of
- 1:17:09how negative actions toward her had consequences during her time. In elementary school,
- 1:17:15a teacher beat her with a rule for not having completed her homework and that
- 1:17:19same day, during the break, they found the teacher lying in the living
- 1:17:24room. He had a heart attack, but he had not died. Years
- 1:17:29later, the professor revealed that he had seen a shadow that appeared out of
- 1:17:33nowhere and passed through it. He experienced intense depression at that time as if
- 1:17:40his life had lost all meaning and decided to end it. After passing through
- 1:17:45it, the shadow took the form of a pig and the teacher lost the
- 1:17:48memory of subsequent events. At that moment, with the passage of time,
- 1:17:55we all became accustomed to the presence of the mysterious being who adhered to my
- 1:17:59friend, contrary to the initial perception of all. Being never manifested itself as
- 1:18:04negative. The nights spent with the dark figure wandering through the bedroom without causing
- 1:18:11any harm to anyone. He was a silent and seemingly harmless spectator, as
- 1:18:17long as he was not given a reason to act. My friend never saw
- 1:18:23being a threat, and eventually we all got used to her presence, accepting
- 1:18:27her as part of our unique nocturnal reality. The creature became a sort of
- 1:18:33silent companion and, despite the initial strangeness, we learned to live with it.
- 1:18:40However, there was an incident that revealed the protective nature of the entity.
- 1:18:45One night, a girl from another bedroom sought a fight with my friend,
- 1:18:49even though she avoided the conflict and rejected the confrontation. The other girl
- 1:18:55persisted and hit her. The surprising result was that the next day, the
- 1:19:00assailant did not appear at morning training and it was discovered that one arm had
- 1:19:05been broken and the others in her bedroom recounted an unusual experience. About three
- 1:19:12o' clock in the morning. The room temperature dropped suddenly and all the
- 1:19:15girls witnessed how the aggressor, apparently asleep, began to levitate a meter from
- 1:19:21her bed, Her movements were strange, moving out of the mattress to almost
- 1:19:27touch the ceiling in a shocking turn, the girl stopped levitate falling dry to
- 1:19:32the floor. No one could explain what happened, although as time passed,
- 1:19:40our lives took different paths and I lost contact with my friend and the mysterious
- 1:19:45entity that accompanied her. We' re still in touch and as far as
- 1:19:50I' m aware, he still has it with her. Honestly, I
- 1:19:54' ve always felt it' s not something I' d like to live
- 1:19:57with. Anonymous accounts
