- 0:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 0:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, three.
- 0:40SPEAKER_06: Three.
- 0:40SPEAKER_06: That's crazy.
- 0:41SPEAKER_06: That's crazy.
- 0:42SPEAKER_06: My motherfucking dog.
- 0:43SPEAKER_06: Yes, sir.
- 0:44SPEAKER_06: My paizon, my brother.
- 0:46SPEAKER_06: Yes, sir.
- 0:46SPEAKER_06: Big league.
- 0:47SPEAKER_03: My brother, what's going on, man?
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: Doing great.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: Doing fantastic.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: Man, listen, listen, listen.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: But are we good?
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Man, we are.
- 0:53SPEAKER_03: We are.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: We are.
- 0:55SPEAKER_04: Fucking sad.
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: Week three, NFL, right, is in the books.
- 0:59SPEAKER_03: It's can't believe it's happening, man.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: This is the league is flying by.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: So uh this season's flying by so fast.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: Uh, it just feels like just yesterday we were talking about week one and kind of getting hyped up for the season, but week three's in the books.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: You guys know, man, on Inside the Pocket, we talk about everything.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: We talk about everything that's happened in the sports.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: We obviously talk about the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: So we gotta we gotta talk there, man.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: Cincinnati Bengals came up short, three-point loss on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: OB, first foremost, how you feeling, brother?
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: How you feeling after that game?
- 1:26SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, man, my body is sore.
- 1:28SPEAKER_06: I think anytime you play in these divisional games, that's probably the first thing that comes to mind is like how sore you feel, especially on the road.
- 1:36SPEAKER_06: Yeah, because it takes a lot of emotion.
- 1:40SPEAKER_06: It's a lot of lot more physical strain.
- 1:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah, um, you know, the mental strain even.
- 1:47SPEAKER_06: I'm sore.
- 1:48SPEAKER_06: Like like my hands and shit are sore.
- 1:50SPEAKER_06: I'll be good by Wednesday.
- 1:52SPEAKER_06: But uh man, it was tough.
- 1:54SPEAKER_06: It was tough to to go in there and come out, come out with a loss uh for so many reasons.
- 1:59SPEAKER_06: Um, ton of respect to the Steelers, but I just feel like, man, for what we've we've been building and what we've continued to build, I don't think any of us are happy necessarily with the total output of our our uh product that we put on on Sunday.
- 2:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: I I think when I look at it like, man, it was one of those losses that I say is also a gut check, right?
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, when everybody loves you when you up, everybody loves you, everybody speak lonely when you're up, but then you know, I think that when you face a loss, and let's talk about it, man.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: The AFC North is it's the toughest division in football, if you ask me.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, right?
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh, and I feel like it's it's a bloodbath, man.
- 2:33SPEAKER_03: You know, both teams are gonna come out locked in, ready to go.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: And I think it's one of those things where uh this builds character, you know.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: Uh battle tested makes war ready.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: Gotta I love what Dexter said after the loss.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: So he said, you know, pretty much we are going to approach this as a champions.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: We're going to prepare as champions, and we're going to come, we're going to respond as champions, you know, and that's what it's about, man.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: And so I know my brother, man.
- 2:54SPEAKER_03: I know I know that you pissed off a greatness, and I know that you want to be great.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: And I know that um I think there were a lot of positives to take away from this game.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: And I feel like obviously the end result is the end result.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: And I think people, it's kind of easy for people to kind of just be to bat to bag on the Bengals or bag on the team after a loss.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: And that's a that's a hell of a football team order they got to play, man.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: But it was a I gotta get my tip tip my hat basically to the offensive line, man.
- 3:17unknown: Yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: Offensive line played great.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: And I think that for the episode of people, I don't know if people got a chance to watch it, but if you didn't get a chance to watch, please head back over on the YouTube channel, tune into the episode where we had the entire offensive line on last week.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: I think that the chemistry that you guys have built for moments like this.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: Oh, for sure.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: When the the public perception might be whatever it is, leaning on one another, man, and just you know, believing in one another.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: Because you know the guy that you got, you know, uh alongside you, and they know the the guys that they have as well.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: Along some, I think that togetherness, that chemistry that this team has, though, is gonna uh lend its hand to in moments like this.
- 3:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah, for sure.
- 3:55SPEAKER_06: That's and that's what we really pride ourselves on, too.
- 3:57SPEAKER_06: And I think Dalton even said it, we we played great up until that moment, and I know he takes it personally.
- 4:03SPEAKER_06: Uh, I forgot what his direct quote was, but it was something along the lines of playing a good game, but not being great in that moment.
- 4:11SPEAKER_06: Um and at the end of the day, we lean on one another, you know, and during during those those uh type of mishaps, man.
- 4:19SPEAKER_06: And so for upset as he is, um, is as as upset as I am, you know, for for all of it.
- 4:27SPEAKER_06: Because we we we all take this really seriously, man, and take it personal.
- 4:30SPEAKER_06: So um anytime a play like that happens, man, we we all we all feel it.
- 4:36SPEAKER_06: For sure, for sure.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Well, looking ahead around the league, man, uh I uh I gotta look, we gotta look at and we gotta say there's a couple of teams that are still obviously undefeated.
- 4:46SPEAKER_03: The Raiders, the Bills, the Vikings, the Chiefs.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: I think one of the biggest shocks that happened around the league yesterday was the commanders beating the Seattle Seahawks.
- 4:57SPEAKER_03: I don't think people saw that coming.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was that was wow.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: Um the the commanders, obviously, the the Ravens played a tough, tough game in Brazil against the Dallas Cowboys.
- 5:08SPEAKER_06: I saw the ending of that one.
- 5:10SPEAKER_06: That was insane.
- 5:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that was insane, man.
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: It was honestly, you know what people were saying, right?
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: They were comparing it to the game uh that happened with Michigan earlier this season where one second was put back on the clock.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: And I know I know Shoddy was probably looking at it like, bro, how?
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: How?
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: Like it looked like it went to all zeros, but Lamar and them boys got the timeout in time with one second left on the clock, and man, it just went, it went, it went the way it went, man.
- 5:33SPEAKER_06: That's that's why you practice situational football, man.
- 5:36SPEAKER_06: I think during that uh get down timeout phase, if you look around the Baltimore Ravens whole field, Cylon included, everybody was doing the timeout signal.
- 5:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 5:49SPEAKER_06: So and when you master those type of situations in football, great things happen.
- 5:55SPEAKER_06: Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:56SPEAKER_06: That's why they won that game.
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, a couple other things happened around the league.
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: The Bucks fell to 0-3.
- 6:00SPEAKER_06: Yep.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: Baker dislocated his thumb.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: I saw that.
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: That sucks, man.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: Because before that, man, there was a hell of a play.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: I know it doesn't count, obviously, on the stat sheet, but Baker was moving around in the pocket, hit an absolute dime to Chris Godwin, went straight to the end zone, called it back, holding.
- 6:18SPEAKER_05: Oh man.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: Man, like it was like it was like moments like this that we actually got the game up right now, but like it was it was a it was a fantastic game.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: And I was like, man, like 0 3, bro.
- 6:27SPEAKER_03: Uh there are there are a couple teams right now that are facing that.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: I think the Chargers are 0-3 right now.
- 6:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: Not talking about one team in particular, but what do guys in a locker room like, what could you say to each other?
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: What is the conversation like when you know the type of team that you have, right?
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: That's those are talented football teams, but yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_06: With it being so early in the season, I think is this is like really the time to hone in and not get too high or get too low.
- 6:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:51SPEAKER_06: Because this a lot of times, like like we spoke about in the past, this time period for a lot of teams is is to shape your identity, right?
- 7:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah, to figure out who you are and who you're gonna be.
- 7:05SPEAKER_06: The Texans last year, I think, started 0-3, if I'm not mistaken.
- 7:09SPEAKER_06: Can we just can we fact check me on this?
- 7:11SPEAKER_06: I believe they started 0-3.
- 7:12SPEAKER_06: We got our statistician over here.
- 7:13SPEAKER_06: You already know.
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: Shout out Riz.
- 7:14SPEAKER_06: Okay, thank you, Riz.
- 7:16SPEAKER_06: Um, and and that's what this time of the season is for, man.
- 7:21SPEAKER_06: It's 14 more games to be played in the regular season.
- 7:24SPEAKER_06: So, as crazy as it sounds, everybody's got a sense of urgency.
- 7:28SPEAKER_06: But what the understanding is there's a lot of football to be played.
- 7:31SPEAKER_06: Absolutely.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: There was a thriller yesterday, too, man.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Uh the Broncos, the Broncos uh came back and beat the Rams.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: I was a little bit of a shock.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, man.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: And we talked about this gonna be a tough stretch for the Rams, man.
- 7:42SPEAKER_03: We know they got Aaron Donald back in the fold, but Miles Garrett being out currently, and then they also had Puka Naku out.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: Um, those are those are some talented football players, man.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: I'll say this about OB real quick.
- 7:54SPEAKER_03: We got we gotta just say this while we on games.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: He encyclopedia, he was absolutely right.
- 7:58SPEAKER_03: Texans did start 0-3 last year.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they started 0-3 last year.
- 8:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, man.
- 8:01SPEAKER_06: I mean, yeah, exactly.
- 8:03SPEAKER_06: So to sit here and and say that the Texans aren't this or that.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:10SPEAKER_06: It's it's too early in the season for all that.
- 8:11SPEAKER_06: It's a lot of football to be played for as talented as they are, for as good as their front office and coaching staff are.
- 8:18SPEAKER_06: Yeah, the Texans will be in the in the playoffs.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, man, and they're still playing without Nico, I believe.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: So we'll we'll see what happens when everything bounces back.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: Same thing for the Rams.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: Like, that's a hell of a football team over there, man.
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: Um, the Rams, the Rams playing without Puka Nakua, who's dealing with a bit of a groin injury right now.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: But man, I think that when we look at it, I think so much about football is about perspective.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: And I look at it and I say to myself, when they get Puka Nakua back and Miles Garrett back in the fold, yeah, I don't want to see that team.
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: Me personally, I don't want to see that.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: Like, that's like that's a hell of a team right there.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: No, that's a real thing, though.
- 8:48SPEAKER_06: And and it like like the thought that I'm thinking of is like, I remember uh I had a fan ask me this a few years ago, would you rather start 10-0 and lose the next six and make the playoffs?
- 9:04SPEAKER_06: Or would you rather start 6-0 and or 0-6 and win the next 10 games and make the playoffs?
- 9:11SPEAKER_06: I would much rather win the last 10 games because to me, it's all about getting hot at the right times.
- 9:18SPEAKER_06: And although a lot of these teams right now that are 0-3 might be looking back at some of these losses for the tiebreaker, like, damn, man, I can't believe we let that happen.
- 9:26SPEAKER_06: Um, it's all about getting hot at the right time.
- 9:28SPEAKER_06: Absolutely.
- 9:29SPEAKER_06: And I feel like uh Zach Taylor's football teams have been like that in the past.
- 9:34SPEAKER_06: Uh obviously D'Amico Ryan's football teams.
- 9:37SPEAKER_06: Um there are some other coaches that come to mind like that too, but uh I think it's just a little bit too early to push the panic button on a lot of these teams.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: And you know, I think that again that speaks to like our camaraderie, right?
- 9:49SPEAKER_03: With the with inside the pocket, because I'm me being in the media, yeah, you see everybody panic.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh he got the talking head saying, oh, oh, the light, you know, but the we gotta bring the pitchforks out.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: This is happening, that's happening.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: It's like, yo, relax, bro.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, football, like, but what I when people ask me what went wrong, I say this football was played.
- 10:11SPEAKER_03: That's that's the best answer I can give.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Football was played, man.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Somebody gotta win, somebody gotta lose.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: But you were absolutely right, spout.
- 10:17SPEAKER_03: Who is hot at the right time?
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Hell, even in Madden.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: The other day I was playing Madden, man, you can tell you, bro, I had a crazy season.
- 10:23SPEAKER_03: I won 14 games straight.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: I kid you 14 games straight, bro.
- 10:27SPEAKER_03: Wow, got cheated out of the one seed because the Chargers went 17-0 on my Madden franchise.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Okay, wow.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: 17-0.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Damn.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: 14.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: I lost, I lose the next three.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: The next three, lose in the first round of the playoffs.
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, there you go.
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: It's about who gets hot.
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: You peaked too soon, bro.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: You peaked too soon, bro.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I thought they was gonna fire me.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: They didn't, yeah.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: So shout out, shout out, shout out, shout out my my my employers.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: They kept me on.
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: I'm still the head coach.
- 10:52SPEAKER_03: We're keeping it moving, but no, we're keeping the conversation.
- 10:55SPEAKER_03: Big news happened today, man.
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: And I'm happy for this guy, man.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: He's been the subject of so much media and fanfare.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: JJ McCarthy got traded from the Minnesota Vikings to the New York Football Giants.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: We all know Jackson Dart is out, or projected to be out for if not the entire season, a large portion of it.
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: And JJ McCarthy gets a new start.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: We all know he played under Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: His brother John Harbaugh is now the head coach of the New York Football Giants.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: OB, you played for Hobbs, man.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:27SPEAKER_03: Got a young quarterback.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: Can you tell me how Harbs, like, you know, he we saw it with Lamar coming in?
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: Can you tell me how Hobbs kind of gets a young quarterback kind of prepared and why he's the right coach for this moment?
- 11:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah, man, I think, I think he kind of fits Coach Harbaugh's like Moxie.
- 11:43SPEAKER_06: You know, similar to Jackson Dart's Moxie as well, where he he's a guy that I feel like, you know, you you see the this talk about nine and all that different stuff, man.
- 11:54SPEAKER_06: I I feel like uh that a lot of that is is Coach Harbaugh and what he wants his teams to represent.
- 12:00SPEAKER_06: And so I I they're probably getting the hungriest and most humble version of JJ McCarthy coming in for a fresh start to I imagine at some point in time uh get on the field there for them, man.
- 12:13SPEAKER_06: Um but I know I know Harbs is uh is pretty fired up, I imagine, to have to get that done.
- 12:19SPEAKER_06: I'm so excited for JJ because I think you know somebody asked me this today on my show earlier.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: They said, what do you think JJ brings basically?
- 12:25SPEAKER_03: Like, what do you like?
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: What do you think is his best skill set?
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I said, I think he's a great game manager.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: I think he understands.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: And I think you think I think people hear the term game manager and they think all of a sudden, oh, you're not a superstar.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: And it's like, bro, part of being quarterback is the ability to manage the game.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, for sure.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: He's a fiery guy.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: He won a championship at Michigan.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: Like, this guy is no slouch at all.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: And I love the system that he comes to from because I I think football, like we talk so much on the show about perspective, right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: And situationally based.
- 12:50SPEAKER_03: Um, I think that Kevin O'Connell's on a spot, right?
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: The head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, great coach, one of the best play callers in football.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: I think he's in a spot where he is in a win-now mode.
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right?
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: He's got a veteran quarterback and Kyler Murray.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: You had so many guys come out of that Minnesota Viking system, whether it be Sam Darnold, leaves Minnesota, goes to Seattle, wins the championship.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: Daniel Jones, before the injury happened last year, he was talked in MVP conversations for the Indianapolis Colts.
- 13:15SPEAKER_03: It's so much about perspective.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: And when you draft a quarterback, you got to also make sure he's in a situation and a spot where he's gonna be given ample time to grow.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: So much of it is like, you know, they're gonna be ups and flows, ups and downs.
- 13:27SPEAKER_03: And I think that JJ, he's had ups and downs with Minnesota.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: I still believe Kevin O'Connell in the Minnesota Vikings Brads believes he's gonna be a good quarterback, but maybe just not for us at this spot because the time, the time didn't, didn't didn't pan out.
- 13:41SPEAKER_03: Now you fast forward, he's with John, uh, you know, Coach Harbaugh in in New York.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: He's gonna be given the time to work into that system.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I love the fact that he has Malik Neighbors as his wide out one.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: I love the fact that he has Isaiah Likely, who's emerging as a tight end one in the NFL, right?
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: I love the fact that Cam Scataboo.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: So I love the system kind of built around him.
- 14:03SPEAKER_03: Sucks that they lost Brian Burns today.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Hell of a pass rusher, right?
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: He's out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL, man.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: Brian Burns to me, one on one.
- 14:11SPEAKER_03: Oh, for sure.
- 14:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I got a lot of respect for his game too.
- 14:13SPEAKER_06: And I I think for the thing with JJ that he's going into uh is is the foundation of the coaches that he has as well.
- 14:22SPEAKER_06: When I Matt Nagy, who's been around some of the best, some of the best in the game uh and been coaching for a long time, played the quarterback position.
- 14:30SPEAKER_06: Uh he's an amazing coach.
- 14:32SPEAKER_06: Um Callahan.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: Callahan.
- 14:34SPEAKER_06: Um I tripping is Greg Roman on that staff as well, is G-Row on that staff.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: We could double check that for sure.
- 14:40SPEAKER_06: Um, so he's he's got some really good football minds that are gonna be around him from a foundational standpoint of people to learn from, man.
- 14:50SPEAKER_06: So uh that to me is is one of the better benefits as well.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: And he is on that again.
- 14:55SPEAKER_03: He don't miss.
- 14:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, G-Roll there, too.
- 14:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:58SPEAKER_06: He don't miss.
- 14:58SPEAKER_06: So all and all of those coaches have been coaching for a long time and coaching the big games and won the big games.
- 15:05SPEAKER_06: So um, when you have that type of foundation of coaches to learn from, listen to, uh, lean on, it it really helps you as a younger player, especially transitioning into this kind of situation.
- 15:18SPEAKER_03: And to be honest with you, for Giants fans, I don't think y'all could have gotten a quarterback that was more similar to Jackson Dart in terms of moxie, in terms of skill set.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: Like he has these mobile, I know the Giants really wanted a mobile quarterback.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: I feel like Jackson Dart and JJ McCarthy are very similar players.
- 15:33SPEAKER_06: They're winners.
- 15:34SPEAKER_06: They got they the I like the way that both of those guys, those young guys play, man.
- 15:38SPEAKER_06: And and um not to take away from Jackson, but uh they're both winners, you know.
- 15:43SPEAKER_06: That's the way that I see it, man.
- 15:44SPEAKER_06: For sure, man.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: Now, you've been a guy that switched buildings, right?
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: What is the first 24 hours like, man, when you when you go from one builder to the you know to the other?
- 15:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you know, I've like I've come in on fortunately the highs of it.
- 15:57SPEAKER_06: So I've going from Baltimore being traded at Kansas City as a first round pick when at the time they didn't even have a left tackle.
- 16:05SPEAKER_06: So I kind of came in on the high of that, uh, which was nice, man.
- 16:10SPEAKER_06: I know they were coming off a Super Bowl loss, but uh for me that was that was uh it was it was really special, you know, just just being able to see the excitement from the fan base, see the excitement from teammates inside the locker room.
- 16:24SPEAKER_06: Uh the opportunity for a fresh start as a younger player.
- 16:28SPEAKER_06: For me, it was playing left tackle, proving to myself that I'm a left tackle.
- 16:32SPEAKER_06: Um that was really exciting.
- 16:34SPEAKER_06: And then transitioning from going from Kansas City to here in Cincinnati, um, it was really exciting as well, man.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: Man, I uh I like I said, man, I I'm so excited for JJ, bro.
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think JJ is gonna be uh a fine player in this league, man.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: I'm excited to see how it all shakes out, man, because like I said, I think he's uh I think he's a phenomenal player.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, keeping it going, man.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: You know what we do each and every single week on Inside the Pocket.
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: But before we get into it, actually, you guys can do us a huge favor.

- 17:14SPEAKER_03: Wow, man.
- 17:15SPEAKER_03: I'm serious, man.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: Some people saying that, man, that's real love.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: The online interview, we got people saying this was that was probably the best uh sit-down interview they've seen.
- 17:23SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, that's awesome.
- 17:25SPEAKER_06: I'm just glad everybody was themselves, man.
- 17:26SPEAKER_06: And all the guys were themselves, and the world got to see that.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: For sure, bro.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: I thought I thought it was phenomenal.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: But you know what we do each and every single week?
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: We give out our unsung players, all right?
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: Our players of the week.
- 17:36SPEAKER_03: Man, listen, I got one player of the week, man.
- 17:39SPEAKER_03: I'll I'll do it for us if you want me to.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: But one player.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: Memzi?
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: Memzi was great.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: Who you got?
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: Memzi was great.
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: I was actually gonna go non-Bangle for a second.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: Oh, here we go.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 17:48SPEAKER_06: It's great.
- 17:48SPEAKER_06: It's great.
- 17:49SPEAKER_06: Okay, all right, Baldwin.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: Former Bangle.
- 17:51SPEAKER_06: Okay, who we got?
- 17:52SPEAKER_03: Noah Fant.
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: Two tutties yesterday, bro.
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: Damn.
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: They lost, but two tutties yesterday.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: He's having a phenomenal season.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, wow.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: I told folks this man last year.
- 18:03SPEAKER_03: Noah fant, beast.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, beast, man.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: Absolute beast.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: And I couldn't be happier for the guy.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: He started his uh New Orleans Saints career off on a very, very high note.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: He had a touchdown a few weeks ago, had two touchdowns yesterday for him.
- 18:16SPEAKER_03: But that dude's a tight end one, man.
- 18:18SPEAKER_03: That dude that dude can do a lot of things, man.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: So I'm just so happy for him.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: You know, obviously he's like a brother to me too as well.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: So happy to see that guy obviously take his game uh to a to another level.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: And that was really, really good to see now as far as Bengals goes.
- 18:29SPEAKER_06: I was just, I mean, I gotta shout out my guy Mims, man.
- 18:32SPEAKER_06: What what he put on tape on Sunday against one of the premier pass rushers in NFL history, let alone the season.
- 18:40SPEAKER_06: NFL history um should not go unnoticed.
- 18:44SPEAKER_06: And he is having an all-pro year.
- 18:46SPEAKER_06: Yep.
- 18:47SPEAKER_06: He is the best right tackle in football.
- 18:50SPEAKER_06: He's the best right tackle in football.
- 18:51SPEAKER_03: I'll say it.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: Where's my he's the best right tackle in football?
- 18:54SPEAKER_03: We are starting that right now.
- 18:56SPEAKER_06: He's the best right tackle in football without a fucking doubt.
- 18:59SPEAKER_03: The memes asylum.
- 19:00SPEAKER_06: And the Mim's Asylum is putting motherfuckers in strait jackets and making defensive ends really uncomfortable.
- 19:11SPEAKER_06: Because what he's put on tape these last few weeks has been so impressive.
- 19:16SPEAKER_06: Uh, when you really watch it and realize that some of his fundamentals aren't even all intact yet.
- 19:23SPEAKER_06: That shit is just literally all will and want-to.
- 19:28SPEAKER_06: Um God where they really all fall, every piece of the puzzle falls in line, it is it is legitimately gonna be game over.
- 19:39SPEAKER_06: And right now it's game over for the NFL.
- 19:42SPEAKER_06: But for him, when it all falls in place, it's a whole nother level that he's gonna touch.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: You know what's crazy though about it though?
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, you see probably a different side of it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, people probably think, yo, Mims, like he up staying up late looking at these these players, and he might be.
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: I have no idea.
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: But when you get down to it, as you guys will know, if you watched the show last week, my man's in the Pokemon cards, he's watching Pokebody shit.
- 20:06SPEAKER_06: He chilling.
- 20:07SPEAKER_06: It's so funny, bro.
- 20:08SPEAKER_06: Like, I I uh I don't I can't share his pregame routine without him telling me, but yeah, like he he is so confident in himself and what he does.
- 20:21SPEAKER_06: It's there is no fear, there is no fear or worry about who he's playing or what he's gotta do.
- 20:28SPEAKER_06: He's so focused on being the best version of himself.
- 20:31SPEAKER_03: Man, I love it.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: I love Memzy, man.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: I love MZ to death, man.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: That dude, that dude is it won't be a problem, he's a beast.
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: And I love the fact that slowly but surely, it's getting a little silent, but he's getting he's getting the praise, man.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he is getting the recognition, man.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, Mims 100% uh an absolute dog.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: Eric, all again, man.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: I gotta say it with I'm doing this every single week, man.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: At this point, Eric, come on the show, come on the show, please.
- 20:56SPEAKER_03: Come on the show, Eric.
- 20:57SPEAKER_03: We gotta get we gotta get Eric on the show, man.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: He lit somebody up.
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: He was sent on a motion.
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, defender comes.
- 21:03SPEAKER_06: I see it, bro.
- 21:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, they would have played the title.
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: God, bro.
- 21:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah, dude's a beast, bro.
- 21:07SPEAKER_06: They didn't fumble at the end of the game, bro.
- 21:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he said he ran from the goal line and almost recovered it.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: Eric, we need you on the show, please, brother.
- 21:16SPEAKER_06: We need you on the show, man.
- 21:18SPEAKER_06: Bro, I was I was tired trying to get him to relax.
- 21:21SPEAKER_06: Like, I'm like, hey, they I understand they already gave it.
- 21:25SPEAKER_06: He's he was angry, you know.
- 21:27SPEAKER_06: Obviously, because he got the ball in hand.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: He's like, I got the ball.
- 21:30SPEAKER_03: Like, how do you give it to somebody that like didn't have I don't, I don't that's beyond me, but man, listen, we digress.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: Teach us on man, we're gonna keep the conversation uh moving again.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: Give this video a like, subscribe to the channel, and turn on post notification.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: Daniel, you had some rapid fire questions for us.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: Oh shit.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: And and these were just not necessarily questions as a whole, but you know, just this or that basically.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: And we'll we'll we'll start out with the non NFL, non football stuff.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: This is more in general.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: So, first off, and I'll say The question you guys can say it on three.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: Um, East Coast, West Coast, East Coast, East Coast.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: Um, Drake or Kendrick?
- 22:09SPEAKER_02: Drake.
- 22:09SPEAKER_02: Drake.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: Um, room temperature water or cold water?
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Cold room.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 22:16unknown: Oh.
- 22:20SPEAKER_06: I'd like room temperature water.
- 22:22SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay, okay.
- 22:22SPEAKER_06: Does that make me fucking weird?
- 22:24SPEAKER_06: No, no, no.
- 22:24SPEAKER_03: I don't I don't think so.
- 22:26SPEAKER_03: But think about it.
- 22:26SPEAKER_03: If it's room temperature, that means like imagine it being like scorching hot in a room.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't want hot water.
- 22:32SPEAKER_06: I don't I like my water 68 degrees.
- 22:35SPEAKER_06: That's cool.
- 22:36SPEAKER_06: Like, I could do room temperature water.
- 22:38SPEAKER_06: If I could predetermine cold soda, I'll drink I'm putting ice in my soda.
- 22:41SPEAKER_06: I'm not drinking a room temperature soda, but like room temperature water, yeah.
- 22:46SPEAKER_03: But but if I'm able to predetermine what the room's gonna be set at, give me room temperature all day.
- 22:51SPEAKER_03: Okay, but I can't.
- 22:52SPEAKER_03: In that scenario, I can't.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: Like if it's if it other than that, if you're talking about the heat, give me cold water.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: Summer or winter?
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: Winter.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: Winter.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Uh coffee or energy drinks?
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Coffee.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: Coffee.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: Wait, wait, wait, what kind of coffee you like?
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: How you how you take your coffee?
- 23:07SPEAKER_06: I prefer matcha.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Shout out.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: What is it about?
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, no.
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: We gotta talk about what is it about matcha?
- 23:13SPEAKER_03: Because I Daniel is the biggest matcha guy.
- 23:15SPEAKER_03: He lives by it.
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: I need to know what like what is it?
- 23:18SPEAKER_06: Well, I I really like like matcha, if mixed properly, right?
- 23:22SPEAKER_06: Like, I want if I'm drinking any type of coffee or matcha, I want it to taste good.
- 23:26SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 23:27SPEAKER_06: Like, I'm not just I'm not one of these black coffee guys.
- 23:30SPEAKER_06: Are you a black coffee guy?
- 23:31SPEAKER_06: I can be.
- 23:32SPEAKER_06: If it's a cobra, if it's cobra, I can't drink, I can't drink hot black coffee.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: I can't.
- 23:36SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm not like uh I want my coffee, my coffee or my matcha to taste good.
- 23:40SPEAKER_06: So um with matcha, I don't know.
- 23:43SPEAKER_06: I got into it, I think it was like COVID during COVID.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: And so matcha's been out.
- 23:48SPEAKER_06: I didn't see yeah, I got into it in like 19, 2019.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: I just had a matcha for the first time this year.
- 23:54SPEAKER_03: What the f yeah?
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: And it wasn't even mine, it was the leftover matcha at the end.
- 23:58SPEAKER_06: Oh man, yeah, no.
- 23:59SPEAKER_06: No, I've been I've been on matcha for a minute, man.
- 24:02SPEAKER_06: Um, yeah, since literally my second year in the show.
- 24:04SPEAKER_06: Shout out matcha.
- 24:05SPEAKER_06: Yeah, uh I like matcha.
- 24:07SPEAKER_06: Okay, response.
- 24:08SPEAKER_06: I don't I don't know.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: I I think it tastes good.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: All right, yeah.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: Shout out.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Uh three more non-NFL.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Um, dogs or cats?
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Dogs.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: I'm putting him in a bookle right now.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm gonna pick one.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: I got a dog, I got a dog and two cats.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: Um, cutest cats, by the way.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Cutest cats in the world.
- 24:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: Um fuck it.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: I'm a dog guy.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: There we go.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: There we go.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: There we go.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: We got early mornings or late nights.
- 24:36unknown: Damn.
- 24:37SPEAKER_03: Like, which one do I like?
- 24:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: I wake up at like 6 a.m.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: every morning, so like maybe I gotta say early mornings.
- 24:46SPEAKER_06: I gotta say early mornings too, football.
- 24:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 24:48SPEAKER_06: And Jerry Smith, my strength coach in college, made me this way.
- 24:53SPEAKER_06: All right, trucks or cars?
- 24:55SPEAKER_06: Trucks.
- 24:56SPEAKER_06: You know, we were just talking about this in a locker room.
- 24:59SPEAKER_06: A good truck is at in my adulthood and maturation, a good truck is very appreciated.
- 25:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna argue that.
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I'm gonna go with trucks too.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: McDonald's or Chick-fil-A Chick-fil-A, McDonald's.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: All right, football.
- 25:19SPEAKER_02: Um, college football or NFL?
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: NFL.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: NFL.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: These are player-specific ones.
- 25:25SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 25:25SPEAKER_02: Antonio Brown or Calvin Johnson wide receiver.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Calvin.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: Have you ever seen Antonio Brown early shit?
- 25:33SPEAKER_06: Yo, he's a beast.
- 25:34SPEAKER_06: Have we have I have to pull this shit up?
- 25:36SPEAKER_06: Have you seen that shit, Daniel?
- 25:38SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 25:39SPEAKER_06: Antonio Brown, I'm like seven years.
- 25:42SPEAKER_06: Bro, that shit is fuck.
- 25:44SPEAKER_06: I know Calvin Johnson is a Hall of Famer.
- 25:46SPEAKER_06: Don't not give me and this is gonna sound crazy.
- 25:48SPEAKER_06: I actually really liked the Lions growing up, but I'm gonna go with A B.
- 25:52SPEAKER_06: Fuck it.
- 25:53SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 25:53SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm gonna go with A B.
- 25:55SPEAKER_03: Well, well, well, for me, right?
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: And I think that I'm a little, I think, I think Jamar has changes for me watching guys like Jamar and you know Justin Jefferson, because for so long, wide receivers, you had to be the six four build and all that stuff.
- 26:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, for sure.
- 26:09SPEAKER_03: And two of the best in the league right now are not six foot four.
- 26:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 26:14SPEAKER_03: And they are guys that play just as big as six foot four when they need to.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: And it's like, uh man, I saw Calvin Johnson get triple teamed in the end zone by three very I will not say the corners' names.
- 26:27SPEAKER_06: That's crazy.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: I will not say the corners' names, but I respect them very, very much so.
- 26:33SPEAKER_03: And a fourth guy came over to help, and it didn't matter.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it didn't matter.
- 26:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um, Calvin Johnson was one of one, man, and I thought that guy was uh there was a there's a receiver, guys.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: He's not in the NFL anymore, but he played for the Bengals a while ago, and he was the only one one of one of the only people that I think had a catch radius that was so insane, and people probably don't remember this name.
- 26:56SPEAKER_03: His name was um damn, I'm I'm forgetting it for a second.
- 27:00SPEAKER_03: Uh, what was my man's name?
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: Well, wide receiver for the Bengals a couple years ago, six foot five, absolute.
- 27:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:11SPEAKER_06: Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 27:12SPEAKER_06: I was just thinking of him.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Auden Tate didn't matter who you bro.
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: If you threw the ball up again, it was 8020 him.
- 27:16SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: 8020 him.
- 27:18SPEAKER_06: I the Calvin Johnson Antonio Brown is so unfair.
- 27:21SPEAKER_06: Because like, damn, I I just I as a football player, I got so much respect for AB Game, bro.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: That's why I think Darrell Revis is the best cornerback in football in NFL history.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 27:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I saw I saw that I've seen, I'll say.
- 27:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because I wasn't alive to watch Prime.
- 27:38SPEAKER_06: Like, I was too, I was too young.
- 27:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but like Darrell Revis, I saw Darrell Revis give Calvin Johnson a hard time, and I'm like, bro, yeah, Darrell didn't matter who what type the type of body type the receiver was, yeah, if they were small or if they were bigger, Darrell Revis, shout out Darrell.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: Revis Island truly was that, truly impact player.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: He raced one side of the field for sure.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: But but Calvin, yeah, Calvin versus A B, that's tough, man.
- 28:01SPEAKER_03: That's tough.
- 28:02SPEAKER_06: I know, and Calvin, Calvin is I mean Megatron.
- 28:06SPEAKER_06: Megatron.
- 28:07SPEAKER_06: Like you said, I mean, it's like fuck.
- 28:09SPEAKER_06: But bias and A B got my last name, so fuck it.
- 28:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so quarterbacks.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Eli Manning or Peyton Manning.
- 28:16SPEAKER_02: Peyton.
- 28:17SPEAKER_02: Peyton.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: We got.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: Um, you guys can go in depth on that.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you want.
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, I was gonna say, listen.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: Peyton's better career, but Eli.
- 28:28SPEAKER_03: Peyton has a better resume.
- 28:30SPEAKER_03: But does he though?
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: Yes, they both they both have two Super Bowls.
- 28:34SPEAKER_03: He beat, but but Eli beat two unstoppable Patriots teams.
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: That's the part people are not talking about, bro.
- 28:41SPEAKER_03: Eli, I don't know if the expectations for Eli was as high as they were for Peyton, and Eli put together a Hall of Fame resume.
- 28:48SPEAKER_03: He was a true Iron Man.
- 28:50SPEAKER_03: Did he ever miss a game for the Giants in his career?
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: I don't know if he ever did.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: I don't know if Eli ever did.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: But he was healthy for the most part.
- 28:56SPEAKER_03: Eli was out there.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: Bro, that sack that he escaped in the Super Bowl was crazy, man.
- 29:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah, he was extremely clutch.
- 29:03SPEAKER_06: I just I mean, and I I feel like I seen a lot of the Peyton man and stuff firsthand growing up, being in the Ravens building.
- 29:12SPEAKER_06: Um, but it's hard.
- 29:15SPEAKER_06: What Peyton did for the game of football, bro, yeah, that shit is is undeniable.
- 29:21SPEAKER_06: That's why he's still relevant.
- 29:22SPEAKER_03: Bro, he would assess what your defense would do, yeah, like take the clock all the way down to like three seconds and snap the ball.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: Like when you hear some of the way some of these players talk about him, like you know, he would call call one play, snap out of it.
- 29:35SPEAKER_03: He's the true conductor, by the way, the sheriff.
- 29:37SPEAKER_03: Um, the defenses would, you know, pretty much change, shift, whatever the case may be.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: And then as soon as you think we're in this defense, he'll check it out of some, he'll check it to something completely different.
- 29:49SPEAKER_06: He had answers for everything.
- 29:50SPEAKER_06: And and and as I'm in the sport, uh I feel like guys like Peyton who got better with age, like Peyton and Tom, damn Reno, and just kind of like Don Elway, like I got so much more respect for those guys.
- 30:07SPEAKER_06: For sure.
- 30:07SPEAKER_06: Nothing against Eli.
- 30:08SPEAKER_06: For sure.
- 30:08SPEAKER_06: For sure.
- 30:09SPEAKER_06: He was a fucking baller for a long time.
- 30:12SPEAKER_06: Peyton did his thing.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: Man, Peyton was a problem, bro.
- 30:14SPEAKER_03: There, there is there's a guy that I think is going to be one of those guys that will continue to get better with age.
- 30:20SPEAKER_03: And I don't think you would want to see him.
- 30:21SPEAKER_03: I will not say his name on the show.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: But I will just tell you that there is a guy uh that is currently playing that if I can compare him, he's probably the most like any of these older school quarterbacks like the Brady, like the Manning, uh, like the Peyton Mannings, that he has the ability to beat you strictly off of knowing what you're doing.
- 30:39SPEAKER_03: I will not say his name on the show.
- 30:41SPEAKER_03: You should know who I'm talking about.
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: There's only one quarterback in the league right now that I think would give you nightmares as a defensive coordinator.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: That uh I think he's gonna be one of them ones.
- 30:50SPEAKER_03: And I'll just leave it at that.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: For sure.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Two more quick questions.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: Uh, Gronk or Travis Kelsey?
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: Gronk.
- 30:58SPEAKER_06: I gotta go with Killer, man.
- 31:00SPEAKER_06: I seen that shit firsthand.
- 31:01SPEAKER_06: Bro, he's so elusive.
- 31:02SPEAKER_06: Killer.
- 31:05SPEAKER_06: Killers nobody, nobody fucking with Killer.
- 31:09SPEAKER_06: I mean, look at the shit he's still doing.
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: Bro, bro, yeah, he turned one up for 59 yards the other day.
- 31:14SPEAKER_06: Most guys get married, play falls down.
- 31:17SPEAKER_06: Sky gets buried and fucking balling harder.
- 31:19SPEAKER_06: Bro, going insane.
- 31:20SPEAKER_03: Going insane, bro.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: He looks like, bro, he looks like he could do it for five more seasons.
- 31:25SPEAKER_06: He probably will.
- 31:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and listen, yeah.
- 31:27SPEAKER_03: I just think for me, you what could you do against Gronk?
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: Like, they they're different tight ends, right?
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: That's what we don't talk about.
- 31:34SPEAKER_03: They're different tight ends.
- 31:34SPEAKER_03: They are Travis is a volume guy, yeah.
- 31:37SPEAKER_03: Like Travis will literally like rip your heart out from volume.
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Gronk, very similar.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: Yo, it's kind of crazy that you gave that because Calvin and the B.
- 31:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 31:46SPEAKER_03: Because Gronk, bro, there was, I've seen guys avoid tackling Gronk.
- 31:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: I've seen guys avoid tackling Gronk, bro.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: And like Gronk, bro, it was one game a couple years, probably not a couple years back, but years and years and years ago.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: He's going up against the Indianapolis Colts.
- 32:02SPEAKER_03: He he's running a seam route, bro, and he's got three guys on him.
- 32:06SPEAKER_03: And Gronk comes down with the ball and proceeds to like stiff arm, like he had the bionic arm on his like Gronk Gronk was a big thing.
- 32:12SPEAKER_06: I remember that.
- 32:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I remember that.
- 32:14SPEAKER_06: I mean, and and Gronk Gronk really helped reshape the tight end position too.
- 32:18SPEAKER_06: Oh my god, yeah.
- 32:19SPEAKER_06: Um, just with so much of his success that he had during the weapon.
- 32:22SPEAKER_06: So yeah, no.
- 32:24SPEAKER_06: But yeah, we're arguing Hall of Famers here, which is wild.
- 32:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but Travis is a beast, man.
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: I see it firsthand.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: We just got one last one.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: This is running backs.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: It's Jamal Charles and B.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: John Robinson.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 32:41SPEAKER_06: Damn, that's actually scary good.
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: Cause it's so early in B.
- 32:48SPEAKER_06: I just about to say, from a sample size standpoint, like Jamal was insane.
- 32:54SPEAKER_06: Yo, dudes though, realize Jamal Charles was like he he was um that motherfucker was untouchable.
- 33:04SPEAKER_06: Like he was like, like some of his some of his stats, even, but like you turn on the tape and and look at what he did, I mean it was crazy.
- 33:13SPEAKER_03: Bro, that's a tough one, there.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: That's very good, man.
- 33:15SPEAKER_03: That's very good on you.
- 33:16SPEAKER_03: Those are some tough ones.
- 33:17SPEAKER_03: Um to answer that.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: I I yeah, Jim, Jamal, Jamal, Jamal, Jamal.
- 33:28SPEAKER_06: Jay Charles.
- 33:29SPEAKER_06: Yeah, Jamal.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: Disrespect.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: No disrespect, though.
- 33:31SPEAKER_03: But Bijan's every every like Bijan, B.
- 33:33SPEAKER_06: John is gonna be a Hall of Famer.
- 33:35SPEAKER_06: Yes, absolutely.
- 33:36SPEAKER_06: He's insane.
- 33:37SPEAKER_06: I gotta go with Jay Charles.
- 33:38SPEAKER_06: He's insane.
- 33:39SPEAKER_06: Fuck Texas, though.
- 33:42SPEAKER_03: That's a theme on the show.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: Listen, man, while we got you guys here, if you guys do a favor, give this video a like, subscribe to the channel, please fucking help us.
- 33:49SPEAKER_03: Turn on post notifications so you guys never miss when we upload content.
- 33:52SPEAKER_03: Please fucking.
- 33:53SPEAKER_03: We appreciate y'all.
- 33:54SPEAKER_03: Listen, OB, man, we had a uh we had a fan submit a question and they asked, please have OB tell us about the story between Orlando Brown Sr.
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: and Chad Ocho Cinco.
- 34:07SPEAKER_03: Tell us about that story, brother.
- 34:09SPEAKER_06: Wow, um I might be one of the only people with all the perspectives on this shit.
- 34:16SPEAKER_06: So obviously I heard from my dad when I was younger.
- 34:20SPEAKER_06: I heard from Ocho, I've heard from Hoosh, Jeff Hobson, who's one of our uh Bengals reporters, working there for almost, I think, 30 years.
- 34:31SPEAKER_06: Legend, absolute legend.
- 34:32SPEAKER_06: Um so I've heard a bunch of different perspectives.
- 34:35SPEAKER_06: This is my dad's side of the story, what I was told.
- 34:39SPEAKER_06: So a lot of people don't know.
- 34:41SPEAKER_06: My dad, pre-game, he was very like locked in.
- 34:46SPEAKER_06: Like he didn't talk to people.
- 34:47SPEAKER_06: He's one of the first guys in his uniform.
- 34:49SPEAKER_06: Like he really loved football, but he loved the aggressive side of football.
- 34:53SPEAKER_06: Like it allowed him to be something that I feel like he wasn't off the field, which is just like this crazy aggressive asshole, straight up.
- 35:01SPEAKER_06: And so uh he took pregame very serious, serious.
- 35:06SPEAKER_06: And it's funny because for when he came back in 03 to about 06, those two years, that window, he would have me burn his CDs for like his walkman.
- 35:19SPEAKER_06: Because you know, they didn't have like iPad iPods and stuff back then.
- 35:22SPEAKER_06: I guess they kind of did, but I would burn his CD.
- 35:25SPEAKER_06: So I would go on that piff and like boss hog outlaw.
- 35:28SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah, that piff.com.
- 35:30SPEAKER_06: Yo, I remember that boss hog outlaw, slip thug.
- 35:33SPEAKER_06: He would want the whole shit.
- 35:34SPEAKER_06: I would burn the whole CD or like Boosie, I would burn, have a whole Boosie.
- 35:39SPEAKER_06: You wanna run your mouth?
- 35:40SPEAKER_06: You wanna talk shit?
- 35:41SPEAKER_06: You wanna talk about that?
- 35:42SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so I would he probably had some shit like that playing.
- 35:45SPEAKER_06: He's pregame warming up, and Ocho comes and jumps on his back, and everybody on the Ravenstav knows like, hey, on game day, you don't fuck with Zeus, you don't talk to Zeus unless spoken to.
- 36:01SPEAKER_06: Okay, I'm gonna find the mic'ed up for you.
- 36:02SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna show y'all the mic'ed up um of how he was pregame to give you an example.
- 36:08SPEAKER_06: Okay, so Ocho jumps on his back, bro.
- 36:12SPEAKER_06: As he he jumps onto my dad's back, he hops off, he's like, damn man, that's you big as hell, boy.
- 36:18SPEAKER_06: Like, and I don't think he realized at the time, like my dad was in go mode.
- 36:23SPEAKER_06: So, what does my dad do?
- 36:24SPEAKER_06: My dad turned around, he like, you know, what the fuck is wrong with you, come here.
- 36:29SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and so he's chasing Ocho, and Ocho's backpedaling, and then I think once he's seen a look in his eyes, he's like, damn, like really trying to fuck me up.
- 36:42SPEAKER_06: So Ocho turns and sprints, he sprints into the locker room, Bengals locker room.
- 36:48SPEAKER_06: Well, my dad follows him all the way there, bro.
- 36:51SPEAKER_06: Oh my god, he's all the way there at the locker room.
- 36:54SPEAKER_06: And I believe the sheriffs, Willie Anderson, um at the time, uh Darren Rest is so uh Craig, who who uh used to work security for for the Baltimore Ravens.
- 37:07SPEAKER_06: Um, I can't remember who it was for the Bengals at the time.
- 37:11SPEAKER_06: Uh, they end up breaking it up and getting my dad out of there.
- 37:14SPEAKER_06: I mean, I guess it sounded like it took 30 people.
- 37:16SPEAKER_06: Oh my god.
- 37:17SPEAKER_06: I remember my dad told me the story as a kid.
- 37:19SPEAKER_06: I didn't believe this shit, but um It was true.
- 37:22SPEAKER_06: No, it was true, it was crazy.
- 37:23SPEAKER_06: And so my dad goes back to the locker room and he's like telling the Ravens defense, y'all better take his fucking head off.
- 37:32SPEAKER_06: So I I don't, I don't, I don't can't remember all the way clearly how many hits Ray got on Chad that game, but but yeah, no, that was uh my dad was my dad was furious about that one, bro.
- 37:45SPEAKER_06: Wow, he was mad about that shit because he ain't play about that pre like pre-game, he's just one of those dudes like don't fuck with me, bro.
- 37:50SPEAKER_06: Man, so I gotta ask you.
- 37:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, how are you pre-game?
- 37:54SPEAKER_06: I mean, I'm I'm not to that extreme.
- 37:57SPEAKER_06: Um, but I'm similar though.
- 37:59SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like I'm you lock in.
- 38:00SPEAKER_06: I'm locked in.
- 38:01SPEAKER_06: Like, like to be honest, like I might, if it's somebody I know, like bake, I might dap him up and you know, it's just shit.
- 38:08SPEAKER_06: That's it.
- 38:09SPEAKER_06: I'll talk to you after the game.
- 38:10SPEAKER_06: But anybody that knows me knows that, you know, like pregame, I like that's my like that's my time to to kind of shape my mind into what's about to go now.
- 38:20SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 38:20SPEAKER_03: And you see it too, because you see OV on the show, he's smiling on game day.
- 38:25SPEAKER_03: Got that look on it, yeah.
- 38:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm locked in in a football setting, I'm locked in.
- 38:31SPEAKER_03: So, like, not from a uh a football story, man, but more so like off the field story.
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you got a story that we gotta tell the folks about.
- 38:39SPEAKER_03: Your rookie year.
- 38:40SPEAKER_06: Tell me about the club.
- 38:42SPEAKER_06: Tell me about the club.
- 38:43SPEAKER_06: Well, man, bro.
- 38:45SPEAKER_06: Um, yo, I was I was in LA and I was fucked up.
- 38:52SPEAKER_06: It was after my rookie year, bro.
- 38:53SPEAKER_06: Going into my second year in the league, and I'm in LA with my friends, and I'm lit.
- 38:58SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm in the club, and the funny part is it was somebody else's section, which is always the best nights to me.
- 39:06SPEAKER_03: Not on my dive.
- 39:07SPEAKER_03: Not on my dive.
- 39:08SPEAKER_06: I'm good, I'm good.
- 39:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so um it was somebody else's section, man, one of my friends, and and we're lit.
- 39:16SPEAKER_06: And so uh throughout the night, I could see this dude staring at me.
- 39:20SPEAKER_06: I'm like, man, I could tell some fucking dude got some weird shit going on.
- 39:24SPEAKER_06: So whatever.
- 39:26SPEAKER_06: He comes up to me halfway through the night, he fucked up.
- 39:29SPEAKER_06: He like, he's like, hey, like big dude, 6'4, and probably 250 pounds, two cut up, big traps and shit.
- 39:39SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, they can probably play, he probably did play football at some point.
- 39:43SPEAKER_06: And so he's like, he fucked up.
- 39:45SPEAKER_06: He like, hey, 10 bands, like, I'll beat you straight up, one-on-one.
- 39:50SPEAKER_06: I'm like, I'm like, what you mean?
- 39:52SPEAKER_06: Like, Oklahoma drill, pass pro.
- 39:54SPEAKER_06: He like, pass pro, one-on-one, 10 bands.
- 39:56SPEAKER_06: I'm like, man, you got you ain't got 10 bands on you.
- 40:00SPEAKER_06: So he he leads a section, he come back, money in hand.
- 40:05SPEAKER_06: I'm like, fuck.
- 40:06SPEAKER_06: I'm like, damn, okay.
- 40:08SPEAKER_06: I'm like, all right, shit, let's do it.
- 40:10SPEAKER_06: So first thing come to my mind, I'm like, this dude is fucked up.
- 40:14SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 40:15SPEAKER_06: So I know I got a chance.
- 40:16SPEAKER_06: For one, I'm like, I'm a professional.
- 40:18SPEAKER_06: I really do this shit.
- 40:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:19SPEAKER_06: Like, I've talked to you before about this because people allow to talk about the pros versus Joe's shit, you know, to where that conversation always comes up.
- 40:28SPEAKER_06: So I'm like, all right, I'm about to go fucking, I'm about to go jump set this dude and throw both hands and snatch this motherfucker to the ground.
- 40:38SPEAKER_06: So the first rep, first rep we go up, it was literally 10k for one one-on-one pass pro, which I thought was fucking crazy.
- 40:47SPEAKER_06: If I was him, I would have been like best out of three.
- 40:49SPEAKER_06: But anyway.
- 40:51SPEAKER_06: So, so whatever.
- 40:52SPEAKER_06: The first rep we do, I'm at right tackle.
- 40:55SPEAKER_06: He rushes upfield.
- 40:56SPEAKER_06: I just we put little wallet, we put wallets down, and they put like some water bottles as a quarterback, five yards depth, or whatever.
- 41:03SPEAKER_06: Somebody gets some weird ass cadence.
- 41:05SPEAKER_06: So I just set this dude and he tried to like uh I don't, he tried to like do like a like a swim arm over, like a bull, bull to swim.
- 41:13SPEAKER_06: And so I just set him through two hands, widening them.
- 41:17SPEAKER_06: I mean, I could have put him on his hip if I wanted to, but I just widened them, stayed there, whatever.
- 41:21SPEAKER_06: I feel like the people in the crowd let the shit go on longer.
- 41:24SPEAKER_06: It felt like a five-second rep to me.
- 41:25SPEAKER_06: I mean, this shit.
- 41:26SPEAKER_03: No, was this in the club?
- 41:27SPEAKER_03: This is outside, concrete.
- 41:29SPEAKER_06: Okay, and to be honest, like, which I find funny, there's no cameras.
- 41:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it probably was a group of one of his homeboys, two of my homeboys.
- 41:39SPEAKER_06: It's probably it, like a group of five or six people.
- 41:41SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 41:42SPEAKER_06: So, whatever.
- 41:44SPEAKER_06: So he loses the rep.
- 41:45SPEAKER_06: He's mad as fuck.
- 41:46SPEAKER_06: Mad as fuck.
- 41:47SPEAKER_05: His homeboy, like, double and nine, man.
- 41:50SPEAKER_05: 20 bands, 20 bands.
- 41:51SPEAKER_05: Now, next rep.
- 41:52SPEAKER_05: I guarantee my dog win the next rep, whatever.
- 41:55SPEAKER_06: Now I'm like, man, okay.
- 41:57SPEAKER_06: Like, now I gotta fuck this dude up because they're gonna try.
- 41:59SPEAKER_06: I'm like, To make a point.
- 42:00SPEAKER_06: I'm like, they're gonna try to do this shit all night.
- 42:03SPEAKER_06: So he comes off, second rep, end up being the last rep.
- 42:07SPEAKER_06: He comes off, he runs right into me like the drunk idiot, D-lineman he is in this moment.
- 42:13SPEAKER_06: He tries to bull rest me.
- 42:16SPEAKER_06: And I throw two hands and I trap him straight to the ground.
- 42:19SPEAKER_06: This dude falls on concrete, jewelry, fucking necklace comes off and shit.
- 42:24SPEAKER_06: And he was so mad.
- 42:26SPEAKER_06: Oh, he was so fucking mad, bro.
- 42:28SPEAKER_06: He got up, he was like, he's like, man, I'll beat your ass.
- 42:31SPEAKER_06: Fight me right now.
- 42:34SPEAKER_06: I looked at him, I looked at him, I said, listen, bro, I got too much to lose, man.
- 42:38SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna take this 20K and I'm gonna get up out of here.
- 42:41SPEAKER_06: Now, thank God this dude.
- 42:43SPEAKER_06: OB said, I'm about my business now.
- 42:45SPEAKER_06: Thank God this dude ain't trying to do nothing crazy, and it wasn't.
- 42:48SPEAKER_06: I live to see another day from this story.
- 42:51SPEAKER_06: But uh I I walked out of there with my 10K.
- 42:53SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and we'll just leave it at that.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: Leave it at that.
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: Leave it at that.
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: Respect.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: No, man, like, well, again, I'm not a player, so I don't have those type of cool stories.
- 43:03SPEAKER_03: But at the end of the day, that's that's that's kind of crazy that that that that even happened, man.
- 43:07SPEAKER_03: Well, listen, man, on this episode of Inside the Pocket, we think that you guys are gonna love it, man.
- 43:12SPEAKER_03: We uh we sat down with a couple of Bengals fans.
- 43:15SPEAKER_03: They were able to ask OB some questions, ask myself some questions.
- 43:18SPEAKER_03: That was really, really cool, man.
- 43:19SPEAKER_06: It was, it was really special too.
- 43:21SPEAKER_06: Like I always enjoy being able to connect with people I don't know, yeah, uh, especially in the football world, man, because as a player, we we are what we are because of the fans.
- 43:32SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and being able to share with people in Israel that are Bengals fans or Hagerstown, Maryland, St.
- 43:39SPEAKER_06: Louis, um Canada.
- 43:41SPEAKER_06: Canada.
- 43:41SPEAKER_06: That's great.
- 43:42SPEAKER_06: Whoa.
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: Driving down from Canada every single game.
- 43:47SPEAKER_06: You got season tickets, and you live on the other, you live in another country.
- 43:51SPEAKER_06: Like that's that's so special, man.
- 43:53SPEAKER_06: And and that's what I think being a Cincinnati Bengals fan is is about.
- 43:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 43:57SPEAKER_06: That's what being a Bangle is a is about.
- 44:00SPEAKER_06: Uh period, man.
- 44:01SPEAKER_06: So it was something I really enjoyed, and I'm very thankful we got to be got to do that.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: For sure, man.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, hey, hey, what's up, brothers?
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: Hoodé.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: What's up?
- 44:10SPEAKER_00: Hoodé, brother.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Hoodé.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: I don't think I've ever seen watched someone text me without hearing them.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: I was like watching you.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: I was watching you while you were texting me.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that's crazy.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: Well, man, we we want to thank you, bro.
- 44:23SPEAKER_03: You um you reached out to join us on Inside the Pocket, bro.
- 44:27SPEAKER_03: Talk ball with me and OB, man.
- 44:28SPEAKER_03: I was really, really ecstatic.
- 44:30SPEAKER_03: I saw you had put a message under there, and you also wind up DMing.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: I was like, Oh, we gotta get we gotta get my man on here, man.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so dude, I mean, first of all, I've been following you for a long time, Malik.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: So uh big up to you, brother.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: And um, yeah, I I was like, dude, I thought this was gonna be at 2 a.m.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: I'm in Israel now, so I thought this was gonna be at 2 a.m.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: and I was like, I'm doing it at 2 a.m.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: 3 a.m., 4 a.m.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: I'm waking up, bro.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: I'm doing this.
- 44:50SPEAKER_04: Wow, bro.
- 44:51SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 44:53SPEAKER_04: What time is it over there?
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Right now it's 11 p.m.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: So this is before my bedtime.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: So okay, that's nice.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: That's nice.
- 44:59SPEAKER_06: I was gonna ask what time it was, bro.
- 45:02SPEAKER_06: I like where what what uh what city are you in in Israel?
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: I I live right outside Tel Aviv, so uh Tel Aviv is like more yeah, yeah.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: Tel Aviv is liberal.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: OBJ, you gotta come here, brother.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, man.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: I heard it's like Vegas, bro.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: We don't have casinos in Israel, but like in terms of partying, like Tel Aviv is literally 24-7.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Like, there's any any time of the of the year, any day, anytime, three at 3 a.m.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: You're gonna find the party, bro.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: Like a big party, always 24-7.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I travel the world for work for business, and um I've been to all the good night life cities in the world, you know, Berlin, all that stuff, and Tel Aviv is is right up there.
- 45:40SPEAKER_06: Interesting.
- 45:41SPEAKER_06: So, do you guys do you guys do you watch American football?
- 45:45SPEAKER_06: I guess it would be on setups, yeah.
- 45:46SPEAKER_00: So Sundays, yeah, yeah.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: So American football is yeah, so Sundays it would be our your 1 a.m.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: or 1 p.m.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: sorry, 1 p.m.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: game is our 8 p.m.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: So that's like standard.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: Then when you guys play primetime games, that's 3 a.m.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: for us.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Um, I I I do not miss a Bengals game ever.
- 46:03SPEAKER_00: Like, there's no such thing as me missing a Bengals game.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: I have like the funniest stories I can share with you about uh uh what I've done to watch Bengals games, but um uh like no matter the time, no matter the year, no matter the team, I'm I'm watching every single game.
- 46:17SPEAKER_06: Wow, bro, that is so special, dude.
- 46:20SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like that is that is so cool.
- 46:22SPEAKER_06: I see it, I see the Chad Johnson jersey in the back too.
- 46:24SPEAKER_06: It's legend.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: It's actually signed.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: It's actually signed.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: You can't I don't you can see it there, it's signed, yeah.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: By Chi Chad Chad Johnson, the absolute legend.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, shout out to Chad Johnson.
- 46:32SPEAKER_03: So we gotta ask you, brother, how did you become a Bengals fan?
- 46:35SPEAKER_03: Out of all the teams you could have picked, it's a great question.
- 46:39SPEAKER_03: The Cincinnati Bengals talk talk us through that.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: So so I was actually born and raised in Israel, but as you can probably hear my accent, I have American background, so I'm actually American citizen as well.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: My I lived in America, uh, my father's from America, uh from New York.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: He grew up a Jets fan.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: And when and when I was a little kid, uh we moved to Columbus, actually.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: Columbus Ohio, about an hour away from where you guys are.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: And um, him being a big football fan, he the game that was on was the Bengals.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Um, this was 2005.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: So Carson Palmer era, Chad Johnson.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I grew up just adoring Chad Johnson, and we lived in Columbus, so the games we would go to on Sundays, we keep the Sabbath.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: So Sundays was our game.
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: Columbus because I say that because Columbus is a big college town, big college city.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: So we didn't really like watch the college games because they were on Sabbath.
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: So Sunday was football.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: My dad's a big fan, and we would go to the Bengals games.
- 47:27SPEAKER_06: Wow, bro.
- 47:28SPEAKER_06: So do you do you study Islam?
- 47:30SPEAKER_06: Um, no, so I'm Jewish.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: I study I I know I know I know about Islam, obviously, because we have two million Arabs living, Muslims living in Israel.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: Um, but I I'm Jewish.
- 47:40SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 47:41SPEAKER_06: Well, and and uh Sunday or Saturday is your Sabbath?
- 47:44SPEAKER_06: You said Saturday, Saturday.
- 47:46SPEAKER_06: Saturdays, yeah.
- 47:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and normally, like for you, uh is it five o'clock cutoff?
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: What is or when it's sun, it starts so starts Friday night sunset until Saturday night sundown.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: Um the fun the funny thing is now we had like some Jewish holidays that fell on Sunday, the first two weeks of the season.
- 48:04SPEAKER_00: So the first so the second week, week two, that was against uh last week against the Texans, that was Yom Kippur.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: So I don't know if you've heard of Yom Kippur.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: That's like our most uh like every single Jew in the world keeps Yom Kippur, no matter how religious they are.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: Uh it's like the most holy day of the year, and like no one touches their phone, no Jews touch their phone.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: So the game was actually during Yom Kippur, so I could I had to watch it uh the next day, Monday night, after Yom Kippur finished, and then I uh I I got I caught up.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: Like I didn't turn my phone on, my phone was off for like six hours just because I had to watch the game.
- 48:36SPEAKER_06: Wow, wow, bro, that's really special, man.
- 48:40SPEAKER_06: Wow, yeah, wow.
- 48:41SPEAKER_06: Um did uh how do you feel about the the start of the season?
- 48:47SPEAKER_06: Obviously, I I know last yesterday, what's that last night?
- 48:51SPEAKER_06: Yesterday is tough, but um from your perspective, man, how do you feel about the start of the season?
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: I'll say I'll split it into the first two weeks and then and then yesterday.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: Uh fair enough.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the first two weeks, yeah.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: No, because yeah, I'm just being honest, right?
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: So the first two weeks, um uh I've been a fan for what is that 21 years.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: Um, it felt like the first two weeks to start a season like that we've never had before.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: Like it really felt really, really good.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Um, most of that was because of the defense, obviously.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: And and then saying to yourself, like, we know what the offense could be.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: So moving forward, if the offense becomes that and the defense plays like that, um uh this is this could be like a crazy season.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: Like it could be like a really, really special season for all of us, right?
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: When I say all of us, I mean you Orlando, because you're a player, but for the fans as well, because we're all we're all one family, bro.
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: Like it's all just one, we're all together in this.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: We all want this so badly.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: And then yesterday came along, and then we started seeing signs that kind of reminded us of last year.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: I'm talking as a fans perspective, obviously.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Um, that reminded us of of last year, you know, missed tackles on the defense.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: Uh that Darnell Washington is a freaking animal, bro.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: Like, he he does that, he did that, he did that to us last year.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: Um, and then the offense just not not closing out.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: So that kind of reminded us of last year.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: Um, but honestly, like all the fans, bro, we have like full, full support.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: Like you have our full support, and I could say that also from the Israeli Bengals WhatsApp group.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: We're only like 11 fans in the entire country, but we talked, bro, and we're like, you know, I think this, you think that.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: We we disagree, we agree on things.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: But everyone there was like, don't worry, guys.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: Joe's gonna clean it up, you guys are gonna clean it up.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: It's it's gonna be good.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be good, bro.
- 50:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, for sure, for sure.
- 50:35SPEAKER_06: We will though.
- 50:36SPEAKER_06: We will.
- 50:36SPEAKER_06: Yesterday was tough.
- 50:38SPEAKER_06: Um, yeah, I think we learned a lot about ourselves as a football team.
- 50:42SPEAKER_06: Uh, and it's a lot to learn from too, you know, which is always win or loss a good thing, you know, things that are correctable, things that are fixable.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I I yeah, I 100% agree.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, it's like I think Dexter said after the game, like, we we didn't think we're gonna go 17-0.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: And and I don't think fans thought that also.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, there's some crazy fans who did, but most fans probably didn't.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: So like you get you gotta lose at some point, and then it's like in life, dude.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: Like, when you lose, the only thing you can do from that is learn.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: There's nothing else you can do from losing but learn.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: If you if you take it and and and you take it too hard, then you're not learning.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: Like, move forward.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: That happened, it's in the past, move forward and just learn.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: And yeah, I think that's an amazing perspective, bro.
- 51:27SPEAKER_03: Um, just the way you're kind of looking at it, which is why, you know, when you were sending the DMs about reaching out and wanting to talk, ball, I was like, this is perfect, right?
- 51:35SPEAKER_03: Because I think that like so many times in sports, especially, you know, I would say now more than ever, people have access to film.
- 51:43SPEAKER_03: And I think sometimes it causes people to kind of like overanalyze and and and kind of like hyper hyper focus on things, but like you want the I think people want these knee-jerk reactions, not realizing football, there are 17 games played in a season.
- 51:59SPEAKER_03: It there are so many ups and downs, right?
- 52:01SPEAKER_03: I think the important part is like knowing who you are, right?
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: Knowing who you are in those moments, in those tough times when the season doesn't go your way, when games don't go your way.
- 52:11SPEAKER_03: And I think I think it's all about perspective, which is what I thought that you uh you did a good job of explaining, bro.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree 100%.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: And just just just to you, uh Orlando, like uh as a fan's perspective, um, because you you haven't been a fan in a long time, right?
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know, you've been in NFL for how long now?
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: 10 years, right?
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: Something like that.
- 52:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, I haven't been a fan since gosh, bro, probably as a little kid.
- 52:34SPEAKER_06: Well, yeah, right before the start of college football, I guess, or after college football.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so as a fan, when it comes to O-line, usually if the you don't hear the person's name on TV, that's a good thing from the O-line, right?
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: Unless it's penalties, right?
- 52:49SPEAKER_00: So I think yesterday you had like one penalty, but other than that, we didn't hear your name, which was awesome, dude.
- 52:54SPEAKER_00: Like we were all ecstatic about that.
- 52:55SPEAKER_06: I don't think I had any.
- 52:57SPEAKER_06: I don't think you had any.
- 52:57SPEAKER_06: I don't think you had any.
- 52:59SPEAKER_06: I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: Sorry, sorry.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: No, you go, you go, man.
- 53:06SPEAKER_03: But listen, man, you had some questions for us, man.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: You know, you're the first guest that we're bringing in, brother.
- 53:11SPEAKER_03: And of course, you know, we want to thank you so much.
- 53:13SPEAKER_03: You're seven hours ahead of us, you know, for for joining us on Inside the Pocket, bro.
- 53:17SPEAKER_03: Hit us with some of these questions, brother.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: Um, Orlando, okay.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: I I didn't want, I don't know.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: I think I split up into like a little more personal and then also like one football question.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: Um because it's an opportunity to talk to you, and I just I I genuinely want to learn like uh about you, just have this conversation.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: So um the first one is if football never happened, uh, you know, no Ravens, no Chiefs, no Bengals.
- 53:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, what's the what's the career you actually think you'd be doing right now?
- 53:42SPEAKER_06: Wow, what would I be doing if I wasn't in the NFL?
- 53:46SPEAKER_06: Uh that's a great question.
- 53:47SPEAKER_06: Uh it's funny because we were just talking about this in a locker room the other day amongst amongst each other.
- 53:53SPEAKER_06: Um I've like football is isn't necessarily my identity, but it's kind of something I've been around literally my whole life, so I can't imagine my life without it.
- 54:06SPEAKER_06: But if I wasn't in the NFL, what would I be doing?
- 54:09SPEAKER_06: Um I'd probably be in the WWE, bro.
- 54:14SPEAKER_06: Like I definitely would have took the wrestler entertainer route because I feel like I feel like it would have been more fitting.
- 54:23SPEAKER_06: I I don't my dad always would joke about it, and Jim Ross was at Okahoba, you know what I mean.
- 54:30SPEAKER_06: I remember I had a small conversation with him as a freshman.
- 54:34SPEAKER_06: Just kind of, I'd never been a player B guy, but I sprinkled a little salt on uh on the idea that, you know, as a as an 18-year-old kid.
- 54:44SPEAKER_06: But if I was an NFL, bro, I'd probably I'd probably be at a WWE of some sort.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: I wish you a long, long career.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: And when that career's over, maybe WWE, maybe that's an option.
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, maybe, maybe Orlando versus Oba Femi.
- 54:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's make it happen.
- 55:00SPEAKER_03: Orlando versus Oba Femi for the WWE championship 10 years from now.
- 55:05SPEAKER_03: Because you know Oba probably still gonna be fighting and wrestling and whatnot.
- 55:10SPEAKER_06: What else you got for me?
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, what's like uh a lot of people, you know, like you just said, I think it was Malik who said that like people criticize and they look at things from a film perspective.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: What's something that like the general public you think misunderstands about O-line?
- 55:24SPEAKER_00: Something that like maybe a stat that's missing uh for an O-line because O-line's not such a statistical.
- 55:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, today with analytics, everything's statistical, but it used to not be such a statistical uh uh position.
- 55:35SPEAKER_06: You know, to be honest, bro, I genuinely feel like the most overrated stat uh in football is pressures.
- 55:43SPEAKER_06: I I I've kind of shaped my own opinion on this, and I've made Pro Bowls after leading the NFL in hits and pressures and going on and won a Super Bowl and block for MVPs leading the NFL in pressures.
- 55:59SPEAKER_06: And I understand that at times, you know, you might block a guy, he might have an effect on the play, but for the times that he doesn't have an effect on the play, for the times you're running him past a quarterback and he's got his arm out because that counts as a pressure when he had no effect on the throw, where the quarterback moves, uh you know, I think pressures are extremely overrated in a lot of ways.
- 56:26SPEAKER_06: Now, I say that to say Mims hasn't given up a pressure this year.
- 56:30SPEAKER_06: So there's some to be fair, to be fair, there is no but that's he's a freaking animal, bro.
- 56:37SPEAKER_00: He's a freaking animal, bro.
- 56:38SPEAKER_06: But pressures from a D-line perspective.
- 56:41SPEAKER_06: What's it like being around them in the locker room?
- 56:42SPEAKER_06: They're extremely overrated.
- 56:45SPEAKER_00: What's it like being with Mims?
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm genuinely asking, bro.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: I really, really want to know.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: Like, what's it like being with Mims in the locker room?
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: That guy's like a stone cold killer, bro.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: Like in interviews.
- 56:54SPEAKER_06: He is, he is, and no, Mims is a dog, bro.
- 56:57SPEAKER_06: He's he's like, even when you turn on the tape from Sunday, some of the technique and footwork he was using to block TJ.
- 57:04SPEAKER_06: I mean, he's literally backpedaling to the spot, getting there with a bass, getting two hands on the guy.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: TJ was unheard of on TV, dude.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: They didn't speak about him once.
- 57:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:14SPEAKER_06: I mean, bro, when you're when you're over there messing with the Mims asylum, just make the nickname, make the nickname.
- 57:22SPEAKER_06: He's gonna put you with a stray jacket for the day.
- 57:25SPEAKER_06: I mean, it's like it's the craziest shit, bro.
- 57:28SPEAKER_06: I mean, and he's he's so good at what he does.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: My wife, my wife doesn't know anything about football.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: She's Israeli, bro, like zero.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, you asked before about the football culture in Israel, so there's there's it's not a big sport here at all.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: Um, we're trying to make it big.
- 57:40SPEAKER_00: That's what I do.
- 57:40SPEAKER_00: I do a podcast um uh pretty much three times a week for NFL football.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: Everyone knows I'm a Bengals fan, obviously, but I try to be unbiased because it's all NFL.
- 57:50SPEAKER_00: But uh, that's one of the things we do.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: Anyway, my wife was watching the game with me uh for the first time ever, by the way, just yesterday.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: So so she can't watch any more games ever again because we we lost when she watched.
- 58:00SPEAKER_06: We gotta keep her off, bro.
- 58:01SPEAKER_00: We gotta she's not watching anymore and she knows it.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: But the point is that she saw Marius Mims and she's like, That guy's fucking huge.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Uh yeah, he weighs 160 kilos.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: That's how much he weighs in kilo.
- 58:12SPEAKER_00: Uh, you can tell him that tomorrow, by the way.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: But um we weigh the same, so that's good to know.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: 160 kilos that what he weighs, and I was and she's like, No, no, no, that can't be.
- 58:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, No, he's really 160 kilos.
- 58:24SPEAKER_00: Like, no, no, no, that's two human beings.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: I was like, I know this guy, he's fucking huge.
- 58:30SPEAKER_06: He is, he is, bro.
- 58:31SPEAKER_06: I always make the joke with a man, like, he's so unique, he needs to just he's missing out on a marketing deal with the Cincinnati zoo.
- 58:38SPEAKER_06: They need to just have an exhibit of just memes in full uniform and let his pass pro highlights just run and he just walk around the exhibit.
- 58:47SPEAKER_06: That's this dude is he's a fucking edible dog.
- 58:50SPEAKER_06: I agree, bro.
- 58:50SPEAKER_06: Is that like of an NFL?
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's one of a kind.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 58:57SPEAKER_03: And what was your final question for us, brother?
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: Uh, yeah, another personal one.
- 59:01SPEAKER_00: Um, if you could sit down uh for one dinner with anyone from history, uh besides your dad, I know that your dad would be the real answer, rightfully so, obviously.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: But besides your dad, he would be someone that uh that you'd sit down with.
- 59:16SPEAKER_06: Anyone from history.
- 59:17SPEAKER_06: Um history of the game.
- 59:21SPEAKER_06: Uh, you know, I would love to sit down with Walter Jones, man.
- 59:24SPEAKER_06: Uh Walter Jones was a left tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, their late 90s through the 2000s.
- 59:30SPEAKER_06: Um played during my dad's era, Jonathan Ogden, uh Orlando Pace, all of those um Hall of Fame, Hall of Famers during that time.
- 59:40SPEAKER_06: Uh, but Walter Jones was somebody I studied a lot.
- 59:42SPEAKER_06: I feel like he made the game of football look so easy.
- 59:45SPEAKER_06: And from a left tackle perspective, he made it look like he was playing offensive guard.
- 59:50SPEAKER_06: And I just I've always admired uh his style of play um and the things that he did on tape, man.
- 59:57SPEAKER_06: He's somebody I would love to sit down with one day and and talk ball with.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: That's unbelievable, man.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_03: Man, we want to thank you so much, brother, for first and foremost supporting and obviously, you know, hopping on at 11 p.m.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_03: your time.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_03: That's dedication, that's grind, bro.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_00: I want to say what I want to ask Orlando one more thing or just say something.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_00: Um Orlando, uh, we're gonna be in Madrid.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_00: Uh, me, my dad, and my three brothers.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_00: My three brothers have never been to a Bengals game.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: They're all we're all died, they're all diehard fans.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_00: I'm the guy who goes to the games.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: I travel.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: Um, and uh it would be awesome to meet you, bro.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know, like it's no pressure, for real, no pressure.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: But if we of course meet you in Madrid, it would be absolutely like incredible, man.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_06: Of course, man.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_06: If if um, you know, I had to we'll have to we'll stay in contact and figure out a way to set that up.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_06: Uh, if you could do me a favor though and send me send us your address, we're gonna send you something.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's awesome, bro.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: I appreciate that, man.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I appreciate that.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_06: We'll leave it as a surprise for now.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_06: Appreciate that.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_06: But send us your address, you take care of dog.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_06: Appreciate your support.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_06: Appreciate it.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: And uh, we really believe in you guys, man.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_00: So keep it up and uh we we look forward, man.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be an amazing season.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_06: Yes, sir, brother.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_06: Hood day, man.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_06: All right, who day, Trevor?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_07: What's going on, guys?
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_06: What's up, brother?
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_07: Nothing much, nothing much.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_06: Hood, who day, man.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_07: Where you from, bro?
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_07: Uh I'm from Hagerstown, Maryland.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_06: Hagerstown?
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_06: Okay, sir, yes, sir.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_06: Not too far from me.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_06: I grew up in Cockysville.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_07: All right, yep.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_07: I knew it was uh Heightsville, right?
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so Cockysville is really close to Towson, Lutherville.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you know, Baltimore, DC area.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, yeah, Baltimore.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah, Baltimore County.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_06: That's awesome, man.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_06: How long have you been a Bengals fan?
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_07: Uh I want to say probably since I was four.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_07: Um, my family grew up uh split between Redskins and uh Ravens.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_07: And one day we were watching the game and they were playing Cincinnati, and I was like, you know what?
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_07: I like those helmets, and the helmets caught me, and then the older I got, I started following more with the players, you know what I mean?
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_07: And then I just fell in love with the team through the struggles and the triumphs, you know what I mean?
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_07: That's so dope.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_06: That's so dope, bro.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_06: That's dope.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah, man.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_03: Man, so so Trevor, that that's kind of like my similar story, how I became a Bengals fan.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_03: You know, I like Tigers growing up, and then my brother used to always lie to my mom and be like, he loves playing Madden.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_03: He loves playing Madden.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: And so my mom would get us one game.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_03: She could afford to get us one game every year.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_03: And she, well, she said she could, but and it was Madden.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: She got us Madden, and uh we were flicking through, you know, what teams wanted to be.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_03: My brother always picked the the uh the Giants, and I hated the Giants and Jets growing up, bro.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: Hated the Giants and Jets because they play in Jersey, but they call themselves New York.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_03: And when they won when the Giants won a Super Bowl, I was such a turn off to him.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_03: I'm like, bro, they're they're literally doing a parade in New York, they don't do nothing for New Jersey at all.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_03: So even when they held held the Super Bowl in New Jersey, they call it uh what do they call it?
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: The uh the Super Bowl New York, New Jersey.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_03: That's what they said the Super Bowl New York, New Jersey.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_03: And so I always felt like they kind of didn't give Jersey a lot of credit.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_03: But like lo and behold, flicking through uh Madden, and I see a team with the leaping tiger.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_03: I said, It's gonna be my team, it's gonna be my team.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_03: So I resonate with you, bro.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_03: I resonate with you when it comes to the team.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_03: I I think the Bengals have the best uniforms in the league, personally.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_03: Best schematics for sure.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_07: By far.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_07: Man, honestly, I don't think anything beats the white bangle.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_06: Oh I feel you.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_06: I like the white tiger too.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_06: I like the white tiger.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_06: I feel angry when I wear the white tiger.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_03: But Trev, tell us about you, brother.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_03: You you reached out, we appreciate you.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_03: You know, you're the second guest ever outside of my man that uh was just here that's joining us on Inside the Pocket, bro.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_03: Talk uh talk talk to us, man.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_07: Um, well, my name's Trevor Shook.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_07: Uh I'm from Hagerstown, Maryland, and I served in the military for four years.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_03: Thank you for your service, brother.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_07: Appreciate it.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_07: Not a problem.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_07: Got out, uh, decided I want to start a family.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_07: So uh married my high school sweetheart, and we have two children together and live out in the country.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_06: Damn, that's awesome, man.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_06: That's awesome, bro.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_06: How you uh how you feeling about the start of the season, man?
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_06: I know that uh yesterday obviously didn't go according to plan, but um from a Bengals fan perspective, how you feeling about the start start of the season?
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_07: Uh I'm not worried about yesterday.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_07: Like it's gonna happen.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_07: Things like that's gonna happen.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_07: Game plans fall apart, schemes don't match up well.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_07: It's part of the game.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_07: Um, even though we play them so often, it you know, you you would think that we have them rivalries down pack, but they always throw something, you know, a left hook out of nowhere at you.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_07: Um, but overall, I'm impressed with the defense.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_07: You know, you can't ask for more from the front office standpoint by going out and getting these guys.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_07: And as a fan, you know, we I know when we seen Dexter's name come up, I think everybody, including players, probably got super hyped about that.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_07: Like that's a big game.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_07: It's a big thing, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_07: And and and from a fan's perspective, like front office-wise, you're like, oh my god, they're actually doing something right now.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_07: Like, it's mind blowing.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_07: Then it wasn't just him, then you got Boyer, then you got uh Brian Cook, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_07: And then I I just think one bad game doesn't dictate the whole season, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_07: If anything, it's gonna fuel you guys.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah, for sure, man.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_06: We're we're very motivated.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_06: You know, I think even before that loss, uh, we have a very motivated locker room.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_06: Um, I I would share with you that man, there isn't a player in there that doesn't have a chip on his shoulder to go out and prove it to himself.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_06: Uh for the brotherhood that we all share, uh the the way that we care for one another, man.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_06: The city, um, the fans like yourself, um we're motivated, man.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_06: So, you know, it's unfortunate, obviously, what happened yesterday, but um we'll put our heads down and and and go back to work.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_06: Awesome, man.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_07: Well, yeah, you know, like I said, one game doesn't dictate a season, and the first two games, you know, I think it proved a whole 180 from last year as far as the team goes, defense-wise, and I know offense wasn't firing all the way yet, but I don't think anybody worries about the offense.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_07: I know you guys are gonna start going banana soon.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_06: No, we start kind of catching our groove a little bit there in that game.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_06: Uh, I just feel like with sometimes with offense, especially early in the season like this, it just takes a little bit more time than it does for the defense, man.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_06: And and for us, it's been so beneficial uh from a team standpoint to be able to lean on the different phases of the game, you know, being able to lean on our punt team and Ryan Rico, being able to lean on our defense and our defensive line, uh, being able to lean on our return game.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_06: You know, I think all of those things have really helped us offensively throughout these first three weeks to help put us in good position, good positions to score.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_03: For for sure, Trevor.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_03: And I'll I'll add this.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_03: I I I love what you had said.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_03: You said, I'm not worried.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_03: I'm not worried.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_03: I'm the same way, brother.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_03: Like, listen, I I have a little of a weird saying.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_03: I say battle tested makes war ready, right?
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_03: The the battles you kind of go through, the eps and flows you go through through a season, they kind of prepare you for when it matters most.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_03: And it's like, would you rather be, you know, tested or untested going into uh the playoffs or, you know, let's say it's the AFC championship or a Super Bowl, whatever.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_03: Would you rather be untested and then when you deal with a little bit of uh, you know, pushback, a little bit of struggle, you won't know how to respond, right?
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_03: Or would you rather kind of just deal with the eps and flows of a season?
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_03: Maybe you struggle earlier on and then you kind of break through as the season progresses.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_03: So to me, I think that that's another team that they had to play on the other side of the ball.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_03: I think one thing that's not being talked about enough is those are three very good defenses that the Bengals have just played.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_03: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense plays with their hair on fire.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_03: They have one of the best nose tackles in football in Vita Vea.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_03: I think everybody will agree with that.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_03: You have the Houston Texans who have the, in my opinion, the best one-two punch at defensive end and Daniil Hunter, who led the league in sacks, and then Will Anderson, that's a hundred million dollar pass rusher right there.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_03: And then you followed it up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, right?
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_03: Pittsburgh Steelers got guys all over the defensive side of the ball.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_03: And now it's like the Bengals opened up the game, you know, opened up the season with three very, very tough defensive fronts.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_03: And I still felt like the offense, while it hasn't completely like gone putting up 40 points a game, they have done their part.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_03: And so I see where people are, you know, questioning or they may have questions and stuff like that.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_03: But I'm like, that that's those are three of the best defenses in football that they just faced.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_03: And I I think that again, the fact that they're seeing these guys early on in the season, it don't get too much, too much more challenging than that.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_03: And then I think as the season progresses, I think this Bengals team is gonna be firing all cylinders, you know.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_07: I agree with that.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_03: Yes, sir, yes, sir.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_03: Let's get to your questions, though, brother.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_07: All right.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_07: Um, first one is uh knowing that you grew up semi-close to me, you know, in the same area and coming from Maryland, and then I know you moved like your junior senior year to Georgia, right?
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_07: Yep.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_07: And then you got drafted by Baltimore.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_07: When you came back to Baltimore, was like home to you in a way, since you grew up, you know, with your dad there and being around it for so long.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_07: It was a sense of like coming back, like this is pretty cool.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, bro.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_06: Um not to get so deep, but it was it was truthfully a dream come true uh for so many reasons, man.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_06: Just I remember like growing up, you know, my dad would tell me, he'd be like, Man, you know, you're gonna get drafted here one day, and you might have a sign in at this grocery store, you know, your neighborhood grocery store.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_06: And sure enough, I get drafted in my rookie year.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_06: I got a sign in at this grocery store, you know.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_06: Um, I had Orlando Brown Jr.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_06: day at my elementary school, which was surreal for me.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_06: You know, I'll never forget they uh Dr.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_06: Martin, my principal, they would each at the end of at the end of each year, uh first through fifth grade, on a note card, you write where you would be in 10 years or 15 years, whatever that math is when you're 21 years old.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_06: And um they uh they brought out my cards.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_06: And each year it said I'd be the starting left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_06: And to be able to fully live out my dream at that time of life uh was extremely special, man, and meant a lot to me and me and my family.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_07: Awesome, man.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_07: Um, my second question is uh even though I'm a Bengal fan, I've never been to a home game, and that's obviously a goal of mine.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_07: Um, but what what is the feeling like when you are coming out of the the into the stadium and the atmosphere?
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_07: Like, can you paint that picture for me?
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_07: Like what what is that feeling like to you?
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I might have to close my eyes for this.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_06: Um yeah, bro.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_06: It's uh it's very surreal.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_06: It's very surreal, you know.
- 1:11:40SPEAKER_06: I like to kind of take it all in.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_06: I remember my first time, it's funny, my first time, first home game here at Pacour Stadium as a player.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_06: I normally, uh, what is the name of that damn right?
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_06: I think it's Johnny Bench or Way or something.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_06: I go underneath the red stadium and come down the river.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_06: Normally is what I do.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_06: Uh for my first home game, for whatever reason, it was blocked off, so I had to go like down third street.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_06: And I just remember seeing all the fans like at the banks, there is like a uh bar on the right.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_06: I can't remember the name of this bar on on by like the blind pig or something.
- 1:12:21unknown: Oh man.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_06: Oh my gosh.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_06: It's so many fans, bro.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_06: So many fans, and a lot of tailgating and orange and black, and people's faces are painted and shit.
- 1:12:29SPEAKER_06: It's lit.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_06: It's lit.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_06: And then as a player, you know, you put on obviously uniforms on, and we say our prayer.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_06: Zach talks to the team.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_06: I talk to the team, we break it down, we we leave the locker room.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_06: It's dark, it's a lot of smoke.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_06: Um I it's I don't know, it's such a significant smell.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_06: I don't know what the smell is, but it's significant.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_06: And um the team goes out and they announce the offense, and I'm normally the last offensive lineman because we go from right tackle to left tackle.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_06: And uh wow, I mean, just the the feeling of the fans, seeing my teammates, um, knowing my family is there.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_06: Uh you feel like the city's with you.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_06: It and and that's the cool thing about being a Bengal is if we have a real home field advantage.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_06: You know, I I've I've I've been fortunate to play a lot of places that have that, but we have something really special here, man.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_06: And and and our fans make it make it just just seem even more closer knit than what it already is.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_07: I was gonna that was gonna be my follow-up question.
- 1:13:45SPEAKER_07: Well, out of all the teams you've been on, what is the most you know, energetic fan base that you've come across?
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, bro, we we get lit here.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_06: And I've played for three of the best in the NFL, bro.
- 1:13:58SPEAKER_06: Like between here, Kansas City and Baltimore.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_06: I mean, three amazing fan bases, in my opinion.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_06: Just people that love their football, cities that stand behind their football teams.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_06: Um, but it's so it's so I I it's so special here.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_06: It's so special here.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_06: Just seeing how how how they fully embrace this.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_06: It's a lot smaller, too, than other markets I played in.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_06: But um it's it's nothing like who that nation is.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_06: I feel that.
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_06: I feel that.
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_06: Hell yeah.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_03: Trevor, what was your other question you got, brother?
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_07: Um I think they were the two I sent you, but uh, I can come up with one on the spot.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_07: So um, who would be the funniest teammate in the locker room?
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_07: Oh man.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_07: Funniest.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_06: Funniest.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_06: Teddy Kay's been on a roll, bro.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_06: Teddy Kay's been saying some funny shit.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_06: Um man, funniest in the locker room.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_06: You know, oh my gosh.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_06: Funniest in the locker room.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_06: That's so that's really tough.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_06: Um obviously Mims is up there for me.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_06: Teddy K is up there.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_06: Joe's got some, Joey B's got some really funny tidbits.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_06: Like, shit, I can't share funny tidbits though.
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_06: Um Joe Flacco.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_06: Joe Flacco Flacco.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_06: Joe Flacco is funny as shit.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_06: Um Jamar Chase.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_06: I some of the comments he makes are just only he could think of that shit.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_06: It's it's funny.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_06: Um T sneaky too.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_06: T sneaky funny.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_06: Mike G, sneaky funny guy.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_06: Um BJ Hill, Dexter, DJ Turner, Jordan Battle, funny as hell.
- 1:16:21SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna go with that long list right there.
- 1:16:28SPEAKER_03: Not one in particular, just just a whole host of guys.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_03: Listen, Trevor, brother.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_03: Uh, we want to thank you so much, brother, for joining us on Inside the Pocket, man.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_03: This was an absolute blast, man.
- 1:16:38SPEAKER_03: Appreciate you reaching out.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_03: Thank you guys for having us.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_03: Appreciate you wanting to talk with us, man.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_03: This won't be the last time we have we we have you on, brother.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_03: And we got to get you to a bangles game at some point, brother.
- 1:16:47SPEAKER_06: I hope so.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah, man.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_06: Uh, Trevor, do do us a favor, bro, and send us your address.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_06: We're gonna see you something cool.
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_06: All right, man.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_06: I appreciate you guys.
- 1:16:56SPEAKER_03: Yes, sir, but we appreciate you, Julius.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_08: Julius, what's going on, man?
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_08: Hey, what's going on, y'all?
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_08: Can y'all hear me all right?
- 1:17:03SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_08: Your camera's crisp.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_08: Your camera's crisp, man.
- 1:17:06SPEAKER_08: Look at the guys.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_08: Yeah, your camera's crisp.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_08: This that that's that uh blue iPhone.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_06: Oh man, yeah.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_06: No, you fucking them up with this.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_08: Okay, cool, cool, cool.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_04: Where you from?
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_08: I am from the St.
- 1:17:23SPEAKER_08: Louis area, so um, I'm I live out in the suburbs in St.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_08: Louis, but um uh one of the cool things uh that I've enjoyed these past several years is even though I'm in St.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_08: Louis, we had the Rams, and then the Rams moved to LA.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_08: Um, and so for there for a while, I didn't have a home as far as a favorite uh NFL team.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_08: And uh then I, you know, fell in love with the Bengals.
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_08: And Cincy isn't terribly too far from St.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_08: Louis, so I I make the drive.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_08: Uh these past uh, let's see, last two seasons I made the drive to Pacor and uh try to go to at least one or two home games, and that's the same for this season.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_08: I I plan to be there.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_06: That's dope, bro.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_06: That's dope.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_06: I I got some friends in uh St.
- 1:18:16SPEAKER_06: Louis.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_06: Um they're they're football teammates, but they're East St.
- 1:18:21SPEAKER_06: Louis, which I don't think is a good area.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_06: You see the liberty goes, yeah.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_08: You got you gotta be back.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, you got to over in the Illinois.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_08: Maryland Heights.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_08: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_08: I uh grew up uh suburb right next to Maryland Heights.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_08: Um I lived on the cusp between uh uh the town I grew up in and Maryland Heights.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_08: So yep, uh very familiar with Maryland Heights, went to school on Maryland Heights, so yep.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_06: Weird question.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_06: Have you ever had um it's like a bakery spot called Gooey Louie?
- 1:18:55SPEAKER_06: No, nobody from St.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_06: Louis has had this gooey Louie spot.
- 1:19:01SPEAKER_06: Okay, so gooey Louie, okay, they make like these buttercake cookies.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_06: Ooh, they're soft, they're like boneless, like when you bite in them, yeah, just soft and it melts.
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_06: Fucking incredible, bro.
- 1:19:19SPEAKER_06: Gooey Louie, gooey Louie, gooey Louis.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_03: We gotta get OB some gooey Louie cookies from this.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_08: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_08: Okay, yeah.
- 1:19:29SPEAKER_08: No, I'm gonna Google it as soon as we're done here.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_03: I got a question for you, brother.
- 1:19:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, are we related?
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_03: We got the same last name.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_08: It's funny that you said that Louis, because I was like, I'm like, when I get on here, am I gonna have to bring up?
- 1:19:43SPEAKER_03: I'm like, are we cousins?
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_03: You my cousin, man.
- 1:19:46SPEAKER_03: You might, you might tell you.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean is my cousin, man.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_03: Blood don't matter, we cousins.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_03: Wait, listen, wait, it's two things.
- 1:19:54SPEAKER_03: So I run my own business, TWSN, and our slang, our our saying is um it's the right way, it's only one way the right way.
- 1:20:03SPEAKER_03: And uh we came out with these shirts just last year that says who they the right way on them.
- 1:20:11SPEAKER_03: And so I see your last name, right way, who they I'm like, man, it's too many similarities.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_08: Yeah, hey, serendipitous, yes, sir, yes, sir, brother.
- 1:20:22SPEAKER_03: But man, we appreciate you reaching out first and foremost.
- 1:20:24SPEAKER_03: But also, um, we we we we know that there's a little bit of a time difference, so we appreciate you uh, you know, obviously making your schedule to work around to join us.
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_03: Talk to us, man.
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_03: You say you had some questions for us.
- 1:20:35SPEAKER_03: Let's let's let's talk.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_08: Yeah, so um, first of all, um, last week's uh podcast um episode, you had the the fellas uh the O line there, and I thought that was really cool that you were able to get everyone together uh just for that episode.
- 1:20:52SPEAKER_08: It was highly entertaining just to see uh the camaraderie and the chemistry that you guys all have.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_08: So uh my question is how much does that chemistry off the field uh translate to the communication and trust you need on the field, especially when things you know start breaking down around the pocket?
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_06: Man, so much, man.
- 1:21:13SPEAKER_06: Um, as Dalton said, so much of what we do kind of correlates and is commingled uh amongst one another.
- 1:21:22SPEAKER_06: You know, I need Dylan to set a certain way, Ted to set a certain way, they need me to set a certain way on certain pass plays.
- 1:21:30SPEAKER_06: Um, from communication in the run game to who the ID is, and we got emotion, now they moved, and so I gotta know that this is gonna be the ID, and Ted's gotta trust that.
- 1:21:42SPEAKER_06: Um, so much of that goes into the relationship that we all share.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_06: And to me, what you saw last week um on from last week's episode was just that camaraderie and that continuity, man.
- 1:21:55SPEAKER_06: I I I feel like constantly it bleeds through the tape uh from for all of us, uh protecting one another, uh however that needs to be fit into a Sunday um to communication in the run game, man.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_06: Um it's a lot of it, all of it, you know, I would say goes into the relationship that we share off the field.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_08: Yeah, that's that's dope.
- 1:22:21SPEAKER_08: And I think it really helps that you have the same group of guys from last season and having that continuity really helps uh build that camaraderie.
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_08: Um, and I hope, you know, we get to see you guys together for a long time.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_08: So oh yeah, you will, yeah, yeah, good.
- 1:22:41SPEAKER_08: So, you know, yesterday didn't pan out as you know we had hoped, but you know, like you had mentioned earlier with another uh another guest, um, you know, things happen and you know we can't be perfect, but uh, you know, we can strive to be the best who we are.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_08: But you know, when you face games like that, um, you know, when you're in the film room, how do you evaluate what needs to be corrected without overreacting to the previous game?
- 1:23:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you know, I feel like um every game from an offensive line perspective, win, lose, or draw, we approach it with the same mindset and the attention to detail and the intensity in the film room on that Monday.
- 1:23:31SPEAKER_06: I I feel like that's one of the reasons our position group has been able to grow uh over this last year or so because of that.
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_06: And we we make sure that when loser draw, we are looking at the little things from footwork to hand placement to the IDs to the communication, to are we all getting off the ball the same?
- 1:23:57SPEAKER_06: All of that, all of that is so important to us, man.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_06: And and when loser draw, we approach it with the same mindset.
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_06: That's the funny thing about football.
- 1:24:05SPEAKER_06: You can't get too high, can't get too low, you gotta stay even killed, can't ride the emotional roller coaster, and be that's the only way to get better in the sport, in my opinion.
- 1:24:15SPEAKER_06: And our group does a really good job of that, man, and our our team as a as a whole, too, to be honest.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_03: For sure.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_03: For sure.
- 1:24:24SPEAKER_03: I got a question.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_03: I got a question for you.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_03: That was a great question, brother.
- 1:24:28SPEAKER_03: What let me ask you this.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_03: What has been the the I would say the the most fun part of this season for you so far?
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_03: We only three games in.
- 1:24:37SPEAKER_03: What's the most fun part for you as a fan, you know, uh that you've seen so far?
- 1:24:43SPEAKER_08: Um, I would have to say the leadership within the locker room, um, definitely bringing in some veterans um like Dexter and Brian and you know, those, those type of guys.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_08: Um there's kind of like this um feeling of like just a different sense of we can do this.
- 1:25:07SPEAKER_08: We we we have the guys around us.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:11SPEAKER_08: That we can get this done all the way to February.
- 1:25:14SPEAKER_08: Um, and so as a fan, seeing that there's excitement from the players makes us excited.
- 1:25:20SPEAKER_08: So um I would say that would that's definitely one of those things that makes me excited as a fan.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_08: Um also, you know, of course, just seeing how the you know the defense has um stepped up um you know so far this season.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_08: Um and also even the offense, um, I would say compared to last season, um, I know it tends, you know, we tend to take a little bit to kind of get our footing um as the season starts out, but I would say compared to the first two or three games last season, we're actually ahead of schedule of you know where we typically are.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_08: So I think that's something to be excited about.
- 1:26:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_03: No, I'm with you.
- 1:26:03SPEAKER_03: Listen, Julius, brother, we appreciate you, man.
- 1:26:06SPEAKER_03: We appreciate you for you joining us on the show and and talking ball with us and you know, uh, you know, coming with the questions, man.
- 1:26:13SPEAKER_03: We uh we're we're excited, brother.
- 1:26:15SPEAKER_03: I last question I got for you real quickly, since you're from since you're from out of town, you like Skyline?
- 1:26:21SPEAKER_08: You know what?
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_08: I still have not tried Skyline, and you know what?
- 1:26:26SPEAKER_08: I see it, you know, I'll I'll see the locations around town or you know, as I'm coming um in, and you know, right there at the Indiana and Ohio border, I'm like, there's a location.
- 1:26:37SPEAKER_08: I'm like, ooh, I don't know.
- 1:26:39SPEAKER_08: That might take some bravery, but uh not yet.
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_08: I haven't been brave, but you know, whenever I bring some friends to the games, like they they they love it.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_08: Um, but I'm like, ooh, I don't know.
- 1:26:51SPEAKER_08: But uh how do you feel about it?
- 1:26:54SPEAKER_03: Political answer.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_03: It's amazing, it's amazing stuff.
- 1:26:57SPEAKER_08: Okay, I got to.
- 1:26:57SPEAKER_06: I hate to do it.
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna teach you the real.
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_06: Okay, and believe it or not, I actually like Sky Law.
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 1:27:07SPEAKER_06: Now I will say I'm not like a spaghetti and I'm a ugly dog, the chili dog kind of dude.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_06: My girl is from Cincy, so she showed me with the mustard and the onions with the chili and the cheese.
- 1:27:21SPEAKER_06: It's it's worth a try.
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_06: I'll just say it's it's it's good to me.
- 1:27:25SPEAKER_06: I like that.
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna redeem myself.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_03: Julie, I'm gonna redeem myself real quick for you, bro.
- 1:27:34SPEAKER_03: Do you like spicy?
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I like spicy.
- 1:27:37SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_03: So for me, Skyline, it's the real right here.
- 1:27:41SPEAKER_03: Skyline, Skyline is made as hell if like regularly cheese and in uh and in the in uh the chili, right?
- 1:27:53SPEAKER_03: However, if you put their habanero cheese on the chili dog, change it, game changer, game changer.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_03: I will tell you, I will not eat Skyline unless this has habanero cheese.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_03: If you put habanero cheese, game changer for me.
- 1:28:07SPEAKER_03: It goes from a three to a ten.
- 1:28:08SPEAKER_03: For real.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_03: Oh, so it's that kind of cat.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:28:12SPEAKER_03: If you want to try something that's gonna make your tongue stop your brains out, habanero cheese on the chili, on the dog, game changer.
- 1:28:19SPEAKER_03: So if you pass your passion about this habanero cheese fucking me up, I'm not into that.
- 1:28:27SPEAKER_03: I'm not about that habanero cheese for real.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_03: Skyline, never take habanero cheese away.
- 1:28:32SPEAKER_03: It's a game changer for us that likes spice.
- 1:28:35SPEAKER_03: Because you know, the chili dog that I'm used to having, you know, their the chili usually is spicy.
- 1:28:39SPEAKER_03: It's usually spicy.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_03: But their chili isn't spicy.
- 1:28:43SPEAKER_03: It's more like, is you know, it's more like what sweet would you call it?
- 1:28:46SPEAKER_03: Like it's like it's not really getting sweet.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_03: I like I need a little kick to it.
- 1:28:51SPEAKER_03: So the habanero cheese is what takes it over the top for me.
- 1:28:53SPEAKER_03: So that again, if you want my honest opinion, try it with habanero cheese.
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_03: I think I think then I think you'll like it.
- 1:28:58SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 1:28:58SPEAKER_08: So when I come next, I'll I'll have to try it.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_03: For sure, bro.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_03: Let me know where you're in town to.
- 1:29:03SPEAKER_03: Maybe we'll get together for lunch.
- 1:29:04SPEAKER_03: You know, we we are good, yeah.
- 1:29:05SPEAKER_03: You know, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:06SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I'll hit you up.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_03: For sure, brother.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_03: We want to thank you, man.
- 1:29:09SPEAKER_03: Thank you for having us on.
- 1:29:10SPEAKER_03: Thank you for coming on the show with us, man.
- 1:29:12SPEAKER_08: Yeah, thank you both.
- 1:29:13SPEAKER_08: I appreciate it.
- 1:29:14SPEAKER_03: Yes, sir, yes, sir, brother.
- 1:29:15SPEAKER_01: My dog.
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_01: Hell yeah.
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_01: What's going on, guys?
- 1:29:18SPEAKER_01: How you been?
- 1:29:18SPEAKER_03: It's good to see.
- 1:29:19SPEAKER_03: That's my favorite Canadian Bengals fan, right here.
- 1:29:22SPEAKER_03: My favorite Canadian Bengals fan.
- 1:29:24SPEAKER_03: What's up, Corey?
- 1:29:25SPEAKER_01: Man, I'm good, man.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_01: I appreciate you guys having me on.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_01: No, I appreciate you.
- 1:29:29SPEAKER_01: Where are you from in Canada?
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_01: Toronto, Canada, man.
- 1:29:32SPEAKER_01: Saga City?
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_06: Which borough do you claim?
- 1:29:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Mississauga, just outside of Toronto.
- 1:29:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:29:40SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_01: When what's the name of your your borough?
- 1:29:44SPEAKER_01: No idea what a borough is.
- 1:29:46SPEAKER_01: You're gonna have to break that down for me, man.
- 1:29:47SPEAKER_06: I thought that's what you guys called them up there, bro.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_06: I like what suburb are you from?
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_01: I guess I'm I'm not down in Toronto like that.
- 1:29:55SPEAKER_01: I'm just on the outside, so I'm not calling it a borough.
- 1:29:59SPEAKER_06: I appreciate your modesty.
- 1:30:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sorry, brother.
- 1:30:05SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't got that answer for you.
- 1:30:07SPEAKER_06: No, I love it.
- 1:30:08SPEAKER_06: I love it, man.
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_03: Man, it's been a it's been a crazy year for them.
- 1:30:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Drake.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_03: Drake done dropped four albums this year or three.
- 1:30:16SPEAKER_03: Three.
- 1:30:16SPEAKER_03: He dropped three.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_03: That's your man right there.
- 1:30:19SPEAKER_03: You know, you know that's my guy, man.
- 1:30:20SPEAKER_03: That's my guy, bro.
- 1:30:22SPEAKER_03: I gotta ask you this.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_03: Did you had get a chance when there was that big old uh he had a ice?
- 1:30:27SPEAKER_03: He had the whole ice ice sculpture in Toronto.
- 1:30:29SPEAKER_03: Did you get a chance to see that?
- 1:30:31SPEAKER_01: I didn't check it out, no.
- 1:30:32SPEAKER_01: I didn't check it out, but um, I know I know some buddies that did.
- 1:30:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Drake does it pretty big down here for sure.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_01: Are you a big Drake guy?
- 1:30:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm not a huge music guy.
- 1:30:42SPEAKER_01: I respect that.
- 1:30:43SPEAKER_01: I love Drake.
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_01: Obviously, listen to him.
- 1:30:45SPEAKER_01: I grew up listening to him, so I do have a soft spot for Drake, but like, not a huge music guy.
- 1:30:50SPEAKER_01: I'm not into it as much as someone like you would be.
- 1:30:53SPEAKER_06: So if music isn't necessarily a vice for you, like what is your version of music?
- 1:31:02SPEAKER_01: It's I'm just kind of like the stuff I listen to is based on how I'm feeling in the moment.
- 1:31:07SPEAKER_01: You know, I'll listen to everything.
- 1:31:08SPEAKER_01: I don't really stick to one thing, I'm kind of all over the place.
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_01: I'll listen to hip hop, I'll listen to like lo-fi stuff.
- 1:31:15SPEAKER_01: Um, it really is just like soft rock sometimes, classic rock, like all over the place.
- 1:31:23SPEAKER_06: Corey, you could be my friend.
- 1:31:26SPEAKER_06: It's just mood dependent for sure.
- 1:31:28SPEAKER_06: I like your vibe, dude.
- 1:31:30SPEAKER_06: Appreciate that.
- 1:31:31SPEAKER_03: Bro, he actually comes to Bengals games from Canada.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_01: Do you make the drive or you fly?
- 1:31:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I make the drive.
- 1:31:37SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be there this weekend.
- 1:31:39SPEAKER_01: It's fucking crazy.
- 1:31:40SPEAKER_03: Do you have season tickets?
- 1:31:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, man.
- 1:31:42SPEAKER_01: Bro, in Canada.
- 1:31:44SPEAKER_06: What yeah?
- 1:31:45SPEAKER_06: Is it eight hours, ten hours?
- 1:31:47SPEAKER_01: It's it's about a seven and a half drive.
- 1:31:49SPEAKER_01: It's like three and a half to our border in Detroit, and then three and a half down.
- 1:31:52SPEAKER_01: But it's it's an easy drive, man.
- 1:31:54SPEAKER_01: I used to do it with my dad growing up, and then obviously you become an adult, and I met a a girl that actually enjoys watching football, and we go to games together, and it was the easiest decision I ever made was I got adult money, I'm buying season tickets, and I'm going down.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_06: Bro, that is so fucking cool, man.
- 1:32:13SPEAKER_06: That is so dope.
- 1:32:14SPEAKER_06: That is so dope.
- 1:32:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you're talking about this weekend being a bloodbath, and I'm like, oh baby, let's go.
- 1:32:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_06: No, this is this is a we haven't even put the plan in yet, but I could just tell you coming off a loss, a lot of guys in the locker room are gonna be looking forward to this one.
- 1:32:30SPEAKER_06: So yeah, it's a good week to to be in Pay Court Stadium.
- 1:32:34SPEAKER_03: Uh Corey Corey, I'll say what OB won't say.
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna say this.
- 1:32:37SPEAKER_03: I said it on my show this morning.
- 1:32:39SPEAKER_03: The state of Florida is gonna hate hate Ohio for a little bit.
- 1:32:42SPEAKER_03: State of Florida's gonna hate Ohio for a little bit.
- 1:32:44SPEAKER_03: Let me tell you why.
- 1:32:46SPEAKER_03: So you know what I say is you so the Jaguars this week, the Dolphins the following week.
- 1:32:52SPEAKER_03: That's it.
- 1:32:53SPEAKER_03: State of Florida.
- 1:32:54SPEAKER_03: Uh listen, nothing else needs to be said, right?
- 1:32:56SPEAKER_03: What's understood don't gotta be explained.
- 1:32:58SPEAKER_03: State of Florida is gonna feel away towards Ohio though for the next few weeks.
- 1:33:00SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 1:33:01SPEAKER_01: 100%, man.
- 1:33:02SPEAKER_01: I'm looking forward to it.
- 1:33:03SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be a good game.
- 1:33:03SPEAKER_01: I know you guys are gonna be ready.
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_03: Yes, sir.
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_03: Well, Cora, man, you had some questions for us, brother.
- 1:33:08SPEAKER_03: So uh talk, talk, talk to us, man.
- 1:33:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:33:11SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, some of these guys, a little bit more on the personal side, I just want to talk ball.
- 1:33:15SPEAKER_01: I got OBJ here, I just want to talk some ball with you.
- 1:33:18SPEAKER_01: And I know, like as a fan, I'm watching it.
- 1:33:21SPEAKER_01: I obviously don't know what goes on in there, but it the big narrative is the under center stuff, and I I really want to hit on this with you.
- 1:33:28SPEAKER_01: I'm sure you get all the questions you talk about this till you're you're blue in the face all season.
- 1:33:32SPEAKER_01: But how are you guys feeling?
- 1:33:34SPEAKER_01: Because I know that you talk about this scheme, this offensive line, it's it's tough for you guys the way that you play, right?
- 1:33:41SPEAKER_01: You throw plays a lot out of shotgun, you're in a lot of like obvious passing situations.
- 1:33:45SPEAKER_01: You don't muddy the picture too much for the defense based on the skill set you guys all have.
- 1:33:52SPEAKER_01: But the running that you guys have been doing from under center, how it's looked, has been pretty good.
- 1:33:56SPEAKER_01: And I think a lot of us collectively can say, like, why aren't we doing more of this right now?
- 1:34:01SPEAKER_01: So, what are your thoughts on it right now, where you guys are at?
- 1:34:04SPEAKER_01: Is that are we getting more of that?
- 1:34:06SPEAKER_01: How are we gonna kind of build off of that moving forward?
- 1:34:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, this is it's such a great question.
- 1:34:13SPEAKER_06: I can't even give you all the quality answers because I don't want to give away any of our shit.
- 1:34:17SPEAKER_06: I know you can.
- 1:34:18SPEAKER_06: I know you can't.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_03: Corey said, break that news right now.
- 1:34:22SPEAKER_06: Corey, I can't break it all down to you.
- 1:34:25SPEAKER_06: And I love being under center.
- 1:34:28SPEAKER_06: Um, what can I say about that?
- 1:34:32SPEAKER_06: I think the best is yet to come.
- 1:34:36SPEAKER_06: And we'll just leave it at that.
- 1:34:39SPEAKER_06: I can't leave it at that.
- 1:34:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah, when we turn the cameras off, maybe, maybe I'll talk a little bit more.
- 1:34:44SPEAKER_06: But I hear you, I hear you, I hear you.
- 1:34:46SPEAKER_01: But does that does it make your job easier as an offensive line?
- 1:34:50SPEAKER_01: Do you find that just going under center and doing that stuff alleviates some of the pressure that you know come on the ends of the offensive line there?
- 1:34:58SPEAKER_01: For sure, for sure.
- 1:34:59SPEAKER_06: Because I think I think naturally once the quarterback goes under center, the running back's in the dot, it it makes a defense have to play a lot more honest.
- 1:35:09SPEAKER_06: To where and the gun you can make up as a linebacker for a false step because a running back's away and things like that.
- 1:35:20SPEAKER_06: When a running back is in the quarterback or under center, and there is and it's a stretch left to our left, and they step left as opposed to stepping right, and they're a step behind, that's bad, really bad.
- 1:35:35SPEAKER_06: And so a lot of times what you see is a deep defenders overreacting and a lot of the under the center play action stuff, which ends up hope opening up these uh zones and things like that for Mike G and T and Jamar to get open across the middle and things like that.
- 1:35:52SPEAKER_06: Um, and even from my perspective, man, defensive linemen don't always know, you know, because they they pay attention to formations and all of that stuff.
- 1:36:00SPEAKER_06: And when you get when you get under center and the running backs in the dot, you know, they're like they're used to being able to say, okay, backs away, ball's probably coming here, you know.
- 1:36:11SPEAKER_06: Uh when you're under center, it's a lot different.
- 1:36:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, totally.
- 1:36:14SPEAKER_01: And I think all of us as fans are kind of sitting there and we're like, we want your jobs to be easier too.
- 1:36:19SPEAKER_01: Like, we don't want you to be in those stressful situations.
- 1:36:22SPEAKER_01: So, and we know the guys on the outside can win quick.
- 1:36:25SPEAKER_01: So, you give a defender like one little misstep, that's opening up so much for these guys, one little hesitation, and and then building off that with like we know Chase Brown can be an explosive player, and we're talking about these explosives.
- 1:36:36SPEAKER_01: It's like, okay, how can we utilize the screen game a little bit more effectively instead of just like dump offs to Jamar here?
- 1:36:41SPEAKER_01: How can how can we build off of this?
- 1:36:43SPEAKER_01: Because you guys have some of the best personnel in the league, right?
- 1:36:45SPEAKER_01: And it's we're all just waiting for that to just connect, and you guys just explode.
- 1:36:52SPEAKER_01: So I'm hoping to see a little bit more of that stuff down the line.
- 1:36:55SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's coming.
- 1:36:56SPEAKER_06: It's coming.
- 1:36:56SPEAKER_06: I I think I think last week offensively uh was the best that we've clicked this season.
- 1:37:03SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and for me, probably that second half against Houston was was really that turning point for us offensively in terms of the flow and how we want to operate and things like that, man.
- 1:37:15SPEAKER_06: So uh like I said, the the best is yet to come for our team as a whole, uh, for us offensively.
- 1:37:23SPEAKER_06: And as time goes, you'll start seeing more and more people get used, uh how they've been used in the past, I would imagine.
- 1:37:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:37:32SPEAKER_01: All right, cool.
- 1:37:33SPEAKER_01: I'm looking forward to it.
- 1:37:35SPEAKER_03: Well, Corey, brother, as always, man, always appreciate you supporting the content, man.
